Coos Bay Doctor Pleads Guilty to Health Fraud | Portland News
A 67-year-old Oregon businessman, Mehrdad Gerami, has pleaded guilty to health care fraud for running a scheme that bilked insurers and the VA out of over $2 million by billing for expensive in-office sleep studies—while secretly delivering cheaper at-home versions. To inflate revenue, his team even fabricated patient-based billing records for non-existent tests. Facing up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, Gerami’s sentencing is scheduled for January 26, 2027. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
