Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morny praise party. I am Sherry Mackie
- 0:04Speaker 1: at his time. Right now for today's word, Handle with care,
- 0:10Speaker 1: Handle with care. John thirteen thirty four says, a new commandment.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I give to you that you love one another just
- 0:17Speaker 1: as I have loved you. You are also to love
- 0:21Speaker 1: one another. You know, our relationships are sacred. God places
- 0:25Speaker 1: people in our lives as priceless gifts, not to be
- 0:28Speaker 1: taken for granted, not to be handled casually, but to
- 0:32Speaker 1: be loved with the same love Jesus has shown us.
- 0:36Speaker 1: And John thirteen thirty four, Jesus gives us a new
- 0:39Speaker 1: commandment to love one another justice he has loved us.
- 0:43Speaker 1: That kind of love is intentional, y'all. It's patient, it's forgiving,
- 0:48Speaker 1: its honoring, and it's sacrificial. It sees the value in
- 0:52Speaker 1: people even when they're not acting very lovable. It recognizes
- 0:57Speaker 1: that every person is made in the image of God,
- 1:00Speaker 1: crafted as a masterpiece, and entrusted to us to treat
- 1:05Speaker 1: with care. Because relationships are sacred, we have to be
- 1:11Speaker 1: mindful of the power our words carry. Words can build
- 1:15Speaker 1: up or they can tear down. They can heal, or
- 1:18Speaker 1: they can deeply wound. Too often, we let frustration, stress,
- 1:23Speaker 1: and hurried moments push us to speak in ways that
- 1:26Speaker 1: don't reflect the love of Christ. I know I've been guilty.
- 1:30Speaker 1: We may snap at the people closest to us, say
- 1:33Speaker 1: things we don't really mean, or allow pride to keep
- 1:36Speaker 1: us from apologizing. But when we treat people as sacred,
- 1:40Speaker 1: we guard our words, we pause before reacting, We honor
- 1:44Speaker 1: their hearts, we recognize their value, and we choose to
- 1:48Speaker 1: respond with love. The truth is all of us have
- 1:53Speaker 1: mishandled sacred relationships at some point. Maybe you've said things
- 1:57Speaker 1: you regret or let distance grow between you and someone
- 2:01Speaker 1: who matters. Maybe you allowed anger, jealousy, or impatience to
- 2:05Speaker 1: cause hurt. Here's the good news. God's mercy covers even
- 2:09Speaker 1: with the places where we fall. In short, he specializes
- 2:14Speaker 1: in restoration. What feels shattered beyond repair. He can make
- 2:18Speaker 1: whole again what you mishandled. God can turn around and
- 2:22Speaker 1: redeem what was broken through careless moments. God can breathe
- 2:27Speaker 1: life into it once again. But restoration begins with recognition.
- 2:32Speaker 1: It recognizes that people are a gift, recognizing that relationships
- 2:37Speaker 1: require intentional care, recognizing that God calls us to love
- 2:42Speaker 1: in a deeper, more meaningful way. When you handle relationships
- 2:45Speaker 1: with care, when you protect the hearts of others, when
- 2:49Speaker 1: you choose empathy and grace even when it's hard, you're
- 2:53Speaker 1: honoring God. You're reflecting his nature. You're showing his love
- 2:57Speaker 1: in the world through the way you treat those He
- 3:00Speaker 1: has entrusted to you. So today, slow down, pay attention
- 3:05Speaker 1: to the people God has placed in your life. Love
- 3:08Speaker 1: them well, speak with kindness, apologize quickly, forgive freely, handle
- 3:14Speaker 1: with care what God calls sacred. Oh Father God, thank you,
- 3:20Speaker 1: Thank you that you've always been stackfast in your love
- 3:23Speaker 1: for us. Thank you for calling and equipping us to
- 3:26Speaker 1: treat our relationships as sacred and to stay committed to them.
- 3:31Speaker 1: For any relationship that we've broken, God, we trust you
- 3:35Speaker 1: to restore what is priceless. Help us God to love
- 3:38Speaker 1: others the way that you love us. In Jesus' name,
- 3:41Speaker 1: that's your word for today. Take it apply to your
- 3:45Speaker 1: everyday life, and you continue to be encouraged and inspired.
- 3:48Speaker 1: It is Arlie morn and Prak's Party. I am Sherry
