Transcript
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Alright, guys, welcome back to the second episode of the Uncast.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Lorenzo, what's your opinion on the death penalty?
- 0:25SPEAKER_04: Like for people?
- 0:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: Uh Loki, we should have even more.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: Okay, good.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: I'm glad you're in agreement.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Um, do they have the death penalty in your state?
- 0:39SPEAKER_05: No, we actually don't.
- 0:41SPEAKER_05: That's some lame.
- 0:42SPEAKER_05: I think only like five states actually have it.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, he froze again.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: You froze.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: For listeners and viewers, I'm sure you could probably hear Lorenzo just fine.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Oh, he's saying I froze.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: This is great.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: This is wonderful.
- 1:00SPEAKER_05: This is this is amazing.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Um technical difficulties much.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Am I right?
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Um, he's frozen on my screen.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: I cannot hear him anymore, and he is saying I'm frozen.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: He says, I can hear you, stinky man.
- 1:19SPEAKER_04: There you are.
- 1:20SPEAKER_04: You you might have to do no face cam.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: Um here we are, we're back.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: We'll leave it up for a little bit, and if it keeps doing it, you know.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: I'll cut it.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: But man, that ruined all my momentum.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: But yeah, the death penalty.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Pretty cool.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Have you heard about yeah, pretty epic.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Have you heard about Krista Pike?
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: No, who is it?
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Awesome.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: So this has been unfolding the last week.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: You you've probably I mean you should definitely Google, you might recognize her face, but I'll go ahead and read the Oh the lady who killed her kids?
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: No.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: No, not that one.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: There's millions of those, but no.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: So Krista Pike was the first woman sentenced to uh death in like I think like two centuries or something.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Jesus.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: She has been on death row for thirty or thirty-one years.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Um, and this is relevant, so I'm gonna go through everything and why it's relevant again because she finally got sentenced to this week.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Or not sentence, sorry.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: They set a date.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna quickly go over the events because it's been unfold I've been watching it unfold live this week, and it's it's kind of fucking crazy.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna minimize this tab while I read it so I can see if we freeze again.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Um It's weird because I I use my hotspot a lot.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: I don't normally have problems with it.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: For the viewers at home, um, right after we recorded episode one, my PC decided to kill itself.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: And so, um Oh my god, Lawrence froze again.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: What the f I can see you, I can see you.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Are you just holding incredibly still?
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Okay, well stop doing that.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Anyway, for the user home, my PC shit itself, and I am on my girlfriend's laptop uh trying to get this to work, and due to other complications, I'm having to use my phone hotspot for internet, which is normally really good.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: I can even play like online Rocket League on it, and it's fine.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: But we keep having Discord freezes, so if that keeps up, um I'm sorry.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: But anyway.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Death penalty.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, so I'm gonna quickly go through why she got sentenced.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Uh or what what crime she committed, all that, and then we're gonna talk about what's been going on this week because it's fucked up.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: But quick synopsis here.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Um, let's see.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: The crime in August of 1995, 18-year-old Chris Krista Pike.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: I keep wanting to say Christina, I'm sorry if I say that.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Krista Pike, her boyfriend to Daryl Ship, and some other acquaintance, I don't know, um, lured uh another college classmate named Colleen Slimmer into the woods and tortured and murdered her in Knoxville, Tennessee.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: She was beaten, slashed, and part of her skull was kept as a trophy.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: I'm reading a synopsis, but I'm gonna go ahead and break away there and say, like, she was stabbed, like, I think like a couple hundred times, or like slashed.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: I don't know about stabbed.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: I think I did hear about this actually.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: You might you've probably heard about this.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Um She drew she carved a pentagram into her chest, and I think slid her throat numerous times, hit her over the head with a piece of concrete, and like for hours or something like that, and she just would not die.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Um God, this is brutal.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: The reason I'm starting with this is because I want to get this is a heavy topic and I want to get it out of the way, but it's also such big news, and it's so fucked up, but kinda crazy, that I just have to talk about it.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: But basically, like she did this because sh she either this was the case or she just thought that Colleen was trying to get with her boyfriend, and she's a psycho, and this is what that's why she decided to do it.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: But yeah, but I'm just a girl.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: She's just a girl.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: She's just a girl.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: She's just a girl, just a girly.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: But um, yeah, so she was uh I think the trial happened like a year later.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Let's see.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they convicted her of first degree murder and conspiracy.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: She received a death sentence by electrocution, which I believe has been outlawed now, so now it's lethal injection.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Blah blah blah.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Um she has been on death row for 30 or 31 years, roughly.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: And uh they finally gave her her time this week.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: It was or last week, I guess.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: It was set for September 30th.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: And so she's making headlines again, which is how I've learned about this.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: I had like briefly seen like popular um clips from the courtroom when she got sentenced, and she's crying like a little baby.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: Oh, of course.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: It's like, oh no, I get to die.
- 6:06SPEAKER_05: They're finally killing me.
- 6:07SPEAKER_05: Oh man.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: What?
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: I only killed and tortured her for hours.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: I'm just a girl.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: But anyway, I I'd seen bits of that, but this is like when this was happening this week, that's when I started researching it, and I was like, oh my god, like that is awful.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: Um, she was giving her date and she's freaking out.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: She's in the news because she's doing interviews and complaining, like, I'm having nightmares every night, I can't sleep, and I'm like, Good.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: Good, good, first of all, but like, no shit, you're about to die.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: But I'm actually like excited for this, and like for those out there who are like, oh, you shouldn't wish death upon another human being.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Fuck you.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Um people just gotta go.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: So can you like gotta go?
- 6:53SPEAKER_05: Can you buy tickets or is it like invite only?
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: No.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Invite only, unfortunately.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: But she was doing all this uh just bullshit of like, oh, can I I just I wanna it's like demanding, like I want an all female execution squad because of my trauma in the past.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: And I will only I will give her a little bit of credit.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: She had like a really awful traumatic past, but that does not excuse brutally torturing and murder murdering someone.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Um But she's d and then she's like, Oh, if I can't have that, then I'd rather just hang.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: And it's like, who who are you to be making these demands right now?
- 7:28SPEAKER_05: No, no, literally, it's like you get to decide what are we doing.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, I was following this for a while, uh, a few days, and then the morning came.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: I was out doing something, I looked at the clock, and I was like, it was like 10 a.m.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: and I was like, oh, she should be dead by now, or about to be dead.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: And so I go online and there's this I see like uh last minute like court appeal stop uh execution one hour before it's gonna happen.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Are you fucking kidding me?
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: Like, first off, I can't imagine the anxiety of knowing you're gonna die, and then the relief of it getting stopped like an less than an hour before.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: Um so yeah, that happened.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: I was like all disappointed, but I was like, there's no way this is gonna last because they seem pretty determined.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: So a couple hours later, I'm scrolling online, and I think it was some judge like overruled it and was just like, nah, you're dying, bitch.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: Like, and so it got scheduled.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: Um they just at the time they were just like sometime before midnight, and eventually got decided it was gonna be I think 11 o'clock my time, which um and then I I was busy, I forgot about it.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: And I was I was like excited, I was like, you know what, let's go.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: And you see, people talk about this for a few days, you know, it's good to talk about this type type of stuff, and then uh I went to bed, I woke up the next day, and I go, oh, is she still alive?
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: And I look her up, I go Krista Pike into Google, and I'm reading the thing, and it says Krista Pike is an American woman.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I'm like, what do you mean is?
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: It's supposed to say was.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: I scroll down.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: This is where it gets crazy, bro.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: This is the big part of the reason I think I want to talk about this.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: They botched the execution.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: Actually?
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Yes, I believe twice.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: I believe she got two doses of lethal injection and it did not work.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: I need to this is something I didn't pull up here that I need to look up.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: Um hang on.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Sorry, that I should have done a little more prepped.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: I had some of this written out and I didn't do this part.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: Because I need to know all the details, but I know, um no, not the execution of Marie Antoinette.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Um although that one's probably pretty fascinating too.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: That one was pretty cool, you know?
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Pretty cool.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: I like the part where um who was it, Gojira did the uh Olympics opening show.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: And then they had like Marie Antoinette up there.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: That was pretty cool.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: When I think of Marie Antoinette, that's what I think of.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: Is CNN cool or is that one of like the lame ass networks?
- 10:05SPEAKER_05: Dude, I don't know anymore.
- 10:06SPEAKER_05: I get all my news from Twitter.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: They're just the first option, so I'm gonna read it.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: Blah blah blah.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: After fur flurry of 11th hour litigation, Krista Pike was strapped to a gurney Wednesday night, set to become the first woman executed in Tennessee in 200 years, blah blah blah.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: But after being ejected with two I don't know that word, what the hell?
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: We're skipping that one.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: After being ejected with two lethal doses of death medicine.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: What are these fucking words, bro?
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: I'm fucking illiterate.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: I can't read this.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Pinto barbiddle.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: God, dude, I always gripe about the liter literacy crisis, and then here I am, like, skipping words.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: But um, she was still alive, snoring loudly as journalists journalists selected to witness the execution glance at one another, wondering what was happening.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: I do remember them saying that she was still talking for quite a while.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: It was like, um, is this burning in my arm supposed to be happening?
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: And like she felt like, like, I guess where the IV was, like, is this gonna like I feel like my arm's gonna explode and stuff.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: And then everyone was like shocked that she was even talking that long, but yeah.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: I don't know all the details fully, but basically, they botched this execution.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: Um, she was taken to a hospital.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: I don't know I don't really understand why if you're still gonna plan on executing them later or why they're like trying to save their lives, but whatever.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Um Yeah.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: Yo, uh they take her to the hospital.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: She is still in the hospital.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: This was like this was days ago.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: I think we're going almost on a week now.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: She's been in the hospital.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure she's probably brain dead.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: But um, yeah, that's what happened.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: There's been a lot of debate online about it.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: Um and I think it's safe to say, I think people really don't understand.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: They're always like, oh, this is like horrific.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: This should not have happened.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Like, I feel so bad for her.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, no.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: No.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: There can be two different opinions.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: This is not good.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: You should not botch an execution.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: That is a big deal, and it should, as it is right now, be under investigation.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: And that that is a problem.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: That is a no-no, you should not like be failing to execute somebody, but I still don't feel bad for her because they're like, oh, she must be suffering right now.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: And everyone's in the you know, it's just like someone else who suffered.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: You know, like yeah, uh, if you want to give me your thoughts on that, that's basically what's happened this week that I've been eager, very eager to talk about.
- 12:34SPEAKER_05: So, like, I know because I used to be like really into like death row and sh stuff like that.
- 12:39SPEAKER_05: So a lot of the men on death row are uh in the same boat where they're on death row for like twenty years and they just don't know.
- 12:47SPEAKER_05: They're just like in the death row wing, just waiting and waiting and waiting.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 12:52SPEAKER_05: And it's just like bruh, after like five years, there you're just like, Am I am I gonna die?
- 12:57SPEAKER_05: Like, I can can we speed things up, you know, like uh but uh uh also they botch a lot of the lethal injections, it's like a common thing.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: Is it?
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: Okay, I did not know that.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: So like I mean I knew I know some have happened, I just didn't know it was common.
- 13:12SPEAKER_05: So like they give you the knockout drug.
- 13:14SPEAKER_05: I don't know if they do that anymore, but it basically puts you in a state of sleep or like paralyzes you, and then the lethal injection comes and like just shuts down your heart or whatever.
- 13:24SPEAKER_05: At least that's what I know.
- 13:25SPEAKER_05: I could be completely wrong.
- 13:27SPEAKER_05: Uh but no, yeah, you you basically pass out and then just go to sleep, but after they do the autopsy, sometimes they're like, oh no, he was fully conscious in an immense pain, and then he drowned in his own liquid in his lungs.
- 13:40SPEAKER_02: And it's just like yikes.
- 13:42SPEAKER_05: It's just like, oh that sounds that sounds a little bit worse.
- 13:45SPEAKER_05: But um Have you ever seen the show A Thousand Ways to Die?
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, that gave me nightmares as a kid.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: That scared me as a kid, dude.
- 13:54SPEAKER_05: There is this one episode, and then all all the thing or most of the stuff on A Thousand Ways to Die is true.
- 13:59SPEAKER_05: Uh when they strapped this guy down to the gurney, they strapped his arms too tight.
- 14:04SPEAKER_05: So when they injected the medicine, it didn't go into his bloodstream right away.
- 14:09SPEAKER_05: So he broke out of his like containment and then stood up and was like screaming and then died because it it finally hit him all at once after they he like because he unstrapped himself and I was just like, that sounds terrible, dude.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Dude, that show gave me nightmares.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: I don't even know how I was watching that.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: I think it was like one of those staying up too late in the other rooms and my parents didn't know I was up.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Because that shit I should not have been watching that.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: The one that traumatized me the most was Are you sure everything on there is true?
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: Because I'm remembering some of them, and I'm like, there's no fucking way to do it.
- 14:44SPEAKER_05: Ron Pearlman voice acted the narrator.
- 14:46SPEAKER_05: He would not lie to me.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Did he really?
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: I don't remember.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: I guess I didn't know Ron Pearlman then.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: No, I remember the one with um It was something like two people were driving in a car side by side, like racing, and then uh these people were hanging out, like making out in between the cars, and then they had like lip rings or something, or not lip rings, sorry, tongue rings, and then they got caught on each other.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: Oh like they drove through the yeah, there was like a pole and whatever.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: It's such there's no fucking way that's real.
- 15:18SPEAKER_05: Like I thought you were talking about the other one where it was like two rednecks were dr uh like racing, and then there was a girl who was raving the flags, but they were on a gravel road, so as soon as they went off, all the gravel hit her at once, and then she died because of yikes.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: No, I've never seen that one.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: I only only a few like stuck out to me.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: I think I got too scared watching that show.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: I used to scare the fuck out of myself watching that.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: Staying up late watching that, and then Monster Hunter.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: Did you ever watch that one?
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: Dude, they would do like episodes on like the Lochness Monster.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: And it was just like absolute bullshit like sightings or whatever, and the Chupacabra one scared the fuck out of me as a lot of people.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: I remember the Chupacabra one.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: That one scared me for a long time.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: I was like I was probably like ten years old, but but yeah.
- 16:14SPEAKER_05: But yeah.
- 16:16SPEAKER_05: So sh she's dead now or is she a alive?
- 16:19SPEAKER_05: Like what is a lot.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: She's still in the hospital.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm pretty sure she's on a it just says on a ventilator, like unresponsive.
- 16:26SPEAKER_05: So like but like they haven't done a you said a female execution 200 years.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: At least in Tennessee, I'm pretty sure they're talking about just Tennessee.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: Why don't they just see what's happened?
- 16:37SPEAKER_05: Why don't they just go with old reliable and burn her at the stake?
- 16:40SPEAKER_05: Like what are we doing, people?
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Uh I think they outlawed that like way back in like 2022 or something.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I don't know.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: It's that's like I've been waiting to talk about that all week.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: Like i I mean, if it didn't botch the execution, I may not have brought it up, but when that happened, I was like, oh my god, I have to talk about this on the episode.
- 17:03SPEAKER_05: Well, because I know they're like lethal injection doesn't always work, and they're trying to bring back like firing squad.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: At least they were for a while, and I'm just I mean, like, if if we keep botching lethal injections, like why not?
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: I don't even know all the methods that are illegal, is it just lethal injection now?
- 17:21SPEAKER_05: I I wanna say, I feel like everything else is like they don't hang people anymore.
- 17:25SPEAKER_05: Uh I don't know.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: You can't go wrong with a good, strong, sturdy rope.
- 17:32SPEAKER_05: Dude, just get a big microwave and microwave them for 30 seconds.
- 17:35SPEAKER_05: Like, what's the worst that could happen?
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: Like a little like a little hamster.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like a little hamster.
- 17:45SPEAKER_05: My hamster was cold.
- 17:47SPEAKER_05: It's just like it's just like what do we You have to know that's bad.
- 17:51SPEAKER_05: Like what?
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: I never had a hamster.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: I had a guinea pig, and uh he died.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: I'm sure I think guinea pigs are similar with their deaths, at least a little bit.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: But yeah, no, we we were cleaning the house and we took his cage out and put it on the porch.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: Only out there for like 30, 45 minutes, but it was hot enough out, and I guess it was just a very tiny body.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: He had a I guess a heat stroke.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: Rest in peace, Geo.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: That was 13.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: I actually still have a picture with him.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: I should go find it.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: You you you basically if I can find it, I'll put it up on screen right now.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: Editor, put that up on screen, please.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: Editor, turn Eli into a guinea pig.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: I'm not doing that.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: When last episode when you said like uh turn me into Mickey Mouse, I was gonna put like some like anime filter on you or something, or give you like the kawaii, but I was like, I'm too fucking lazy to do all this right now.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: I put like the ribs you you were talking about up, and I was like, nah, too much work.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: But yeah, no, uh yeah, pretty crazy stuff.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: Um I know that's a pretty heavy topic.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: I probably won't bring up super serious ones like that all the time.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: But I just had to talk about it.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: And I was like, let me just talk about it right at the start of the episode, get it the hell out of the way so we can move on to other shit.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: But yeah.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Um Yeah, I got me thinking about killers and stuff.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: We should do like a serial killer tier list at some point.
- 19:26SPEAKER_05: I think Dahmer would just be at the top.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: Would he?
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: I think he's the one I know like the least about.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: After all the shows and everything?
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: I didn't watch the shows, I don't care about that stuff.
- 19:39SPEAKER_05: Dude, you gotta be a cutesy girl and watch killer shows and be like, oh my god, he's so special.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: I do listen to a lot of true crime stuff, but the main one I listen to, they cover like more niche cases, they don't get a lot of attention.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: Which is really cool, but that's fair.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: I don't know a lot of the big ones unless like I'll sit down and watch a documentary.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: The only one I've really watched a lot of is like Ted Bundy and maybe a little bit of the Zodiac Killer.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: That's fair, the big ones.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: Ooh, have you ever watched um what's that channel name?
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: Lemino?
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: Okay, his Jack the Ripper one's awesome.
- 20:13SPEAKER_05: No, that's really good.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: He he got me into one of my favorite mysteries in the world, which is the missing Malaysian flight.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: Um, like one 137 or whatever.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, whatever it is.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: Um I thought it was like four or eighty I don't know.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Number it don't matter.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: Six, seven, six.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: No, he's my favorite channel because he uploads like um like once maybe once or twice a year because he spends so long on his videos, but his Jack the Ripper one is really good and it's really long, but it's it's very good.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: I look back at those and I'm like, how do I it kind of amazes me like the documentation back then.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: I mean it's still not as good as it is now, but I'd be like I thought it was just gonna be like, oh, we found this woman dead here and we think it's this guy, and that's it.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: But like the amount of like witness accounts and like documentation going on, like knowing what street, what time.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: All the way back then.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: It's kind of impressive.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I'm just fucking stupid, but I was impressed.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: Cause that was that was like 1800s, right?
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: Late 1800s?
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: 1700s, I wanna say.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: Was it that long ago?
- 21:20SPEAKER_05: It was a while ago, man.
- 21:22SPEAKER_05: It was probably like 2013.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: This cannot this cannot be true.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: Did you say 2013?
- 21:29SPEAKER_05: We landed on the moon in 2009, dude.
- 21:31SPEAKER_05: Like what are we talking about?
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: When did I'm not even bro, I hate this this laptop.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: When did Jack DeRipper?
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: I'm not elaborating any more than that.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: Google knows what I mean.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, late 1800s, eighteen eighties.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: I was right and you were wrong, so fuck you.
- 21:51SPEAKER_05: Well, okay.
- 21:52SPEAKER_05: But you know what?
- 21:53SPEAKER_05: Speaking of death, let's talk about the death of a franchise.
- 21:58SPEAKER_05: I woke up this morning.
- 22:00SPEAKER_05: And I saw a trailer for Modern Warfare 4.
- 22:04SPEAKER_05: Why?
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: I would yeah, no.
- 22:09SPEAKER_05: What are there, like 15 Call of Duties or more now?
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, no.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, dude.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: I feel like I just talked to someone about this not too long ago.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: They just need to pack it up, bro.
- 22:20SPEAKER_05: No, it's like when I saw Black Ops 4 come out, I was just like, why?
- 22:24SPEAKER_05: Is there Black Ops 5?
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: I stopped caring after Black Ops 3.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: I didn't even like Black Ops 3.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: I hated Black Ops 3.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: Both answers are correct.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: I think that's a good idea.
- 22:43SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I was about to say Black Ops 2.
- 22:44SPEAKER_05: I put so many hours in, that was my favorite.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say that's my favorite, but there's a lot of people that would argue MW2's better.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: But.
- 22:51SPEAKER_05: But no, Modern Warfare 4, you play as someone in the what is it, North Korea, and it's against the Kim Jong-un Republic.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: You're Nicki Minaj in North Korea.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: You gotta have the Nicki Minaj skin.
- 23:06SPEAKER_05: Dude, that's what I don't get either.
- 23:07SPEAKER_05: Like, I get Fortnite having skins, but Call of Duty, like the that used to be the real military shooter, it's like, eh, we don't care no more.
- 23:14SPEAKER_05: You know what?
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: This season of Call of Duty Black Ops 13, you can be Charlie Kirk.
- 23:24SPEAKER_05: You could save Charlie Kirk from the assassination of this brand new mission.
- 23:29SPEAKER_05: And it's like it's like, what do what do we do?
- 23:33SPEAKER_05: Do you guys just have no ideas?
- 23:34SPEAKER_05: Like I get.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: I really there's no problem with remaking a Call of Duty at all, but they got to drop this once a year bullshit.
- 23:45SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: Just spin five years on one and make a really fucking good one every like four to five years.
- 23:51SPEAKER_05: Or even even better yet, just fucking say fuck it, life service.
- 23:55SPEAKER_05: I'd rather that.
- 23:56SPEAKER_05: I'd rather I'd rather it be like Overwatch.
- 23:58SPEAKER_05: I'd rather it be like Marvel Rivals where we just get seasons.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: I'm tired.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: I'm tired of fucking make a really good game and then just continuously upgrade it throughout, you know, like just be like, hey, these guns are banned this season, we're introducing this new shotgun, blah blah blah blah blah.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:15SPEAKER_05: Just do or do what Valorant does, just have new maps rotate.
- 24:18SPEAKER_05: I don't care.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: That's what I was gonna say.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: I was like, this is why Valorant's better than Call of Duty, right?
- 24:26SPEAKER_05: That's why we both still play it and we didn't abandon our accounts that we spent$3,000 on.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: Hey, I've got back into it in the last month.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: Now my PC's sh fucking dead and I can't play it at all.
- 24:38SPEAKER_05: I tried to load up$50 on a bet, and I don't play the game anymore.
- 24:43SPEAKER_05: It feels so stupid.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: Do you know how much money I've spent on Valorant?
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: Well, didn't you say like$2,750?
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: No, God, no, Jesus Christ.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: No, I'm a little bit less than that.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: Or less than half of that.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: No, less than half, less than half.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: It was like$1,100.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: I think it was$1,100 because they came out with that feature where you could uh check how much you spent.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: And I was like, ooh, I wanna like I don't want to look at this, but I do.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: And when I saw that$1,100, bro, never bought a skin since then.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: What what is uh except wait, no, I did buy one.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: I did buy one.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: But that was because it was the one I wanted for like two years.
- 25:19SPEAKER_05: What is that like rent for a month?
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: Pretty much, yeah.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: No, it's I really need to just sell my account for like a you know a quarter of a cost and make some money back.
- 25:30SPEAKER_05: I was about to say sell your account, get 400 bucks, be happy.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, honestly.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: I I but at the same time I don't want to let go of the skits.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: Like when I do get on, it's like it's pretty nice.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: But yeah.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: Makes me feel rich.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I haven't played Call of Duty since um we used to play Modern Warfare 2019, which honestly was probably like the last really good one.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: I really loved that one.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: I um I wasn't a huge fan of Warzone.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: Um, but I loved just playing S and D every day, just running that MP5, bro.
- 26:08SPEAKER_05: I think the last time was with Warzone, or technically, I like me and my nephew played on his PS5 and he was like, How do you get guns?
- 26:15SPEAKER_05: And I was like, You gotta play the game.
- 26:16SPEAKER_05: He's like, You can't just buy them.
- 26:18SPEAKER_05: And I was like, I was like, Oh, we're what do you mean you can't just buy them?
- 26:22SPEAKER_05: We're that generation now.
- 26:24SPEAKER_05: How much mic how much microtransaction to win the game?
- 26:27SPEAKER_05: And it's like, what?
- 26:28SPEAKER_05: We're in the Fortnite Roblox era, bro.
- 26:31SPEAKER_05: Dude, Roblox actually ruined it because I don't have you played Roblox any time recently?
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: No, the last time you and our other friend played, that was the last time I played.
- 26:42SPEAKER_05: Uh well, I played a little bit with him after that, and we were playing this game, and for three dollars, you could just nuke the map and just set everyone back to zero.
- 26:51SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it was like it was like, you know what, fuck this kid, I'm winning.
- 26:55SPEAKER_05: It's like I have I hope this kid has a bad day.
- 26:58SPEAKER_05: Three dollars well spent.
- 27:03SPEAKER_00: The microtransactions, they got 'em.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, they got me too, but not as bad as some people.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: Some people I just I feel so bad.
- 27:11SPEAKER_05: Dude, back in the day with Overwatch, I probably spent a lot of money.
- 27:14SPEAKER_05: Like, I would just buy loot boxes and buy loot boxes for skins.
- 27:18SPEAKER_05: Is that something you can check?
- 27:19SPEAKER_05: You should look.
- 27:20SPEAKER_05: Uh I don't know, because they got rid of loot boxes, so you can't even see anymore.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: Yo.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: Let me quickly look this up, and then if it it says yes, you're gonna go check right now.
- 27:32SPEAKER_05: Dude, I don't even I can't even log into my Blizzard account.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: Why not?
- 27:37SPEAKER_05: Huh?
- 27:37SPEAKER_05: Because it was I had two-factor authentication on a phone that I had two phones ago.
- 27:43SPEAKER_05: Bro.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: You can check the total amount spent on Overwatch by viewing your purchase history on your battle.net account management page.
- 27:56SPEAKER_05: It's gonna be too much, and I'm gonna get sad.
- 27:58SPEAKER_05: I would be like, come on, man.
- 28:00SPEAKER_05: There, we don't want to ruin your night.
- 28:02SPEAKER_05: If you had to guess.
- 28:04SPEAKER_05: Dude, I'm probably around the same po I'm gonna say$1,300, like low-key.
- 28:09SPEAKER_05: Because that was my game in high school.
- 28:10SPEAKER_05: Like, I would spend I I would come for work from work from my little shitty fast food job, and then I'd be like, you know what?
- 28:18SPEAKER_02: 80 bucks and 30 30 bones, right?
- 28:21SPEAKER_05: No, literally, it's like 30 bones.
- 28:23SPEAKER_05: That's only like three hours of work real quick.
- 28:26SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 28:28SPEAKER_05: But no, I I think they should kill Call of Duty at this point.
- 28:32SPEAKER_05: It's like who's who's buying this?
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: W okay, let's say they don't kill Call of Duty.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: What would it take, in your opinion, to fix it?
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: And like not just make it a good game, but like literally like change the public's opinion?
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: Because you could I've heard that the new one coming out actually looks pretty good, but the fan base is just so, yeah, sure, bro.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: I'm sure it's gonna be the best Call of Duty ever.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: Like, no one has any faith in them.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: So what do you think it would take to not only make a really good game but also bring public opinion back in, you know, their favor?
- 29:06SPEAKER_05: So I I think it's impossible because I think we're past the Call of Duty era.
- 29:11SPEAKER_05: We're in the hero shooter era.
- 29:13SPEAKER_05: Valorant, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch are still dominating because they're just a different kind of shooter.
- 29:21SPEAKER_05: And uh it's like, oh, what if you want that military like sim shit?
- 29:26SPEAKER_05: It's like actually that's that's how they would fix it.
- 29:29SPEAKER_05: They gotta make it like more military is.
- 29:32SPEAKER_05: I think they should they should almost do what like Battlefield does and just be have bigger maps.
- 29:39unknown: Yeah.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: What was the really popular one back in the day?
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: Was it three?
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:47SPEAKER_00: What's the one that had the um that map where the building would fall over, like halfway through the game?
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: All of them?
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: What?
- 29:56SPEAKER_05: No, that was it was originally in three, I know what you're talking about.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: It's where you're in the skyscraper and it's the only one I've played, and I played for like maybe two or three weeks.
- 30:05SPEAKER_05: So I forgot what game it is.
- 30:07SPEAKER_05: I've been seeing a bunch of clips on TikTok.
- 30:08SPEAKER_05: It's like a real military semi-game.
- 30:11SPEAKER_05: Like your job is literally just driving ammo to the front lines, and that can be all you do of the game.
- 30:18SPEAKER_05: It looks really fun, but I'm like, I can't put time into that.
- 30:20SPEAKER_05: I know I'm gonna get addicted and just be like.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: That happens a lot with me.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: Like, um, God, I don't know the name of that game, but that like Revolutionary War Simulator, where you're like the British, you know, or the red coats.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, no, it's I love saying clips where like people are in character, and we're like if they're on like the French team, they're just playing like stereotypical French music and they're marching into war going, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
- 30:47SPEAKER_05: Well, dude, that was me and you and we got into chivalry for a little bit, and it was just like I literally wanted to get back into it recently.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: That shit was so much fun.
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: Chivalry 2?
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: Ugh.
- 30:58SPEAKER_05: No, because I remember playing it, and then just some dude on the other team was just fucking for the lands of the Nord, and oh that's holy and I'm just like, you know what?
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: I vibe.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: Oh dude, if anyone listening has not played Chivalry 2, that is such a fucking goaded game.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: I'm sure there might be better ones out there, medieval just fighting games, but like it wasn't too hard to learn.
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: Like it definitely like timing mechanics and stuff is very important, but like it only took me like a few days to get like pretty damn decent at it.
- 31:31SPEAKER_05: Well, I think the skill ceiling is there.
- 31:33SPEAKER_05: Like, have you ever seen high-level gameplay where someone's just destroying the other teams?
- 31:37SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's it's like I could never do that, but I would still have fun in that match, you know.
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: Oh, dude, that shit was so I was just recently I keep every time I open up my epic game epic game launcher, I see it, and I'm like, maybe I should just download that play it again.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: I might try once I get my PC fixed, hopefully this week, I might try to do that again.
- 31:55SPEAKER_00: But back to what you were saying about fixing Call of Duty though.
- 32:00SPEAKER_05: Uh but no, fixing Call of Duty, I feel like it's just well, elephant in the room.
- 32:05SPEAKER_05: We grew up in the Xbox Live era where you could say anything.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: I didn't say I didn't do anything.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: I was a fucking sane, I don't know what you're talking about.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: Editor, pull up the logs.
- 32:17SPEAKER_05: Uh I learned so many Knuke words.
- 32:21SPEAKER_05: Uh, but no, no, like even you can get like permabanned for saying you're a stinky butt, and it's like, what are we doing?
- 32:27SPEAKER_05: Bro.
- 32:29SPEAKER_05: It's it's it's stupid.
- 32:33SPEAKER_00: I think like I don't play a whole lot of different writing games.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: I think Valorant's pretty okay.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: Like if you're making threats about killing somebody, you should probably be banned, you know, but like there's just some things where you should be allowed to like shit talk and stuff.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: That's just good old.
- 32:48SPEAKER_05: Me when I get death threats for not giving someone the bomb, and I'm like, we're playing quick play.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: I j dude, I just saw it take I will try to find it uh briefly to maybe put on screen, but there's a clip I saw today of someone like crashing out and threatening to kill everyone in the lobby over a swift play because they weren't like fla like throwing flashbangs for him or something.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: It was oh my god, it was so sad.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: Like Yoru, where's my flash?
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: Pretty much, yeah, no.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: He was like threatening to kill everybody.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: It got really bad.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: And he had like a duo with them.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: He goes, He's normally not this bad.
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: I don't know, I don't know what it's gone into.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: But no, you gotta bring back classic shit talk.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: It's it's good for the soul, it's good for the character.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't be as super tough-skinned badass like I am now, if it wasn't for that.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: You know.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: I definitely don't want to cry when people caught me.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: Start crying.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know, because I haven't played Call of Duty in a long time.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: Um First off, you just gotta stop with the futuristic shit.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: That's what drew m drew me away from it.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: Or pushed me away from it, was just the constant like it's now 2050.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: Now it's 2080, now we're in 2300.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, I just wanna I st I wanna be on the ground.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: I'm tired of quadruple jumping, back flipping.
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: Uh like that's what drew me away from it.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: Like, you just need good old war.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: Like, you can still do some futuristic-esque things, but I mean, even in like Black Ops 2, it was futuristic, but not too bad.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: It's crazy that we're living in the Black Ops 2 era right now, bro.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: Isn't that weird?
- 34:40SPEAKER_05: It is.
- 34:42SPEAKER_05: Exac exactly.
- 34:43SPEAKER_05: What didn't it take place in 2025?
- 34:45SPEAKER_05: Yep.
- 34:46SPEAKER_05: It's like, wow, we're we're here.
- 34:48SPEAKER_05: Where's my where's my RCXD?
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: No, they just they gotta I don't I think they do need to just stop remaking.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: I don't mind like a Black Ops 2 and MW2, maybe even a couple years later doing one more remake of a series.
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: But just pack it up, do a new Call of Duty, new name, and spend more than like three years on it.
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: At least, if not more.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: But money just stop with the fucking I mean I don't even think there's anything wrong with the skins or having skins, but like why is Nicki Minaj in Call of Duty and Snoop Dogg, you know?
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: Dude, why can't I play as Biggie?
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: I know why it's a stupid question.
- 35:31SPEAKER_00: Like I know it's just money, but like nobody wants that.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: And it just I think that's what like ruined it.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: They're trying to be like so many other games like Fortnite, where you have literally every human imaginable in the Fortnite shop.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: When they added Mariah Carey to Fortnite, I was just like, what are we doing?
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't be surprised if I logged back into Fortnite and I was in the shop for$7.99.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: That wouldn't be so they'd put anybody in there, bro.
- 35:55SPEAKER_05: No, dude, I was watch what was it?
- 35:58SPEAKER_05: They added Freddie Fazbear for Halloween this year, and I'm just like, okay, whatever, what are we doing?
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: No, that's epic.
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: You don't know what you're talking about, bro.
- 36:07SPEAKER_05: Dude, why can you play as Edward Edward Scissorhands in Fortnite?
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: Because he's fucking cool.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: The fuck do you mean?
- 36:17SPEAKER_05: You're right, and they spend$15 on it right now.
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: You don't want to see Naruto, Goku, Freddy Fazbear, Edward Scissorhands, and Arian Grande have a like a 5-08 epic battle, Fortnite Royale.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: I mean we should um at Twin Towers.
- 36:34SPEAKER_05: We shit on this.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: While Renegade Raider plays in the background.
- 36:37SPEAKER_00: That sounds fucking awesome.
- 36:39SPEAKER_05: We shit on this, but I remember we were so hyped to get Hatsune Biku in the game that we were just like, let's go!
- 36:45SPEAKER_00: That one was pretty epic though.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: Hatsune Biku's badass.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: Maybe we should do that uh after our podcast one episode.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: We do a let's play and we play Fortnite for the first time.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: Upload a little like three or four game let's play on it.
- 37:00SPEAKER_05: Three or four game let's play?
- 37:01SPEAKER_05: Hit us in the comments if you want to see that.
- 37:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah, for sure.
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: Speaking of in the in the comments and things for the the future here, I did have one like dumb thought.
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: I'll try to make this quick, but um, I was going for a run yesterday because I'm super fit and awesome and sexy and in shape.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: No, I was doing this, um I do like what's zone two running.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Do you know what that is?
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: So for people who don't know, it's just like the pretty much the lowest form of cardio you can do.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: Um it's barely running.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: It's actually like hard to run that slow, but it's really good for your lungs building like an aerobic base and stuff, and it primarily the reason I'm doing it for now is I'm trying to lose weight and it primarily burns fat versus like running faster and burning like carbohydrates.
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: So I was doing it and I was like researching it because like it's kind of hard to tell when you're in zone two because everybody's a different size, you know, height and all that.
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: And it's like you should be able to like run and hold a conversation with somebody.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: And I was already like running, listening to a podcast, thinking about this podcast, and I was like, dude, what if I make a bet for like either a milestone like episode 25 or 50 that if we make it there, that I will do a full episode while running around a track for an hour because I should be able to hold the conversation.
- 38:27SPEAKER_00: What do you think?
- 38:29SPEAKER_05: If you do that, I'll do a podcast episode from the top of a mountain.
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: Should we do it at the same time though?
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: Wait, how the fuck would you get reception?
- 38:40SPEAKER_05: Don't worry about it.
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: Like I can just hold my phone while I run.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: I can get one of those like microphone adapters for the iPhone, you know, so I sound okay.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: And you don't hear me just panting for breath the entire time.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: But yeah, I thought that'd be a fun idea.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: That'd be really cool.
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: Hit us in the comments if you want to see that for I don't know.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: Episode what's the what's our what's our first milestone?
- 39:07SPEAKER_00: Would it be like 25 or 50?
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: 10.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: 10.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: I'm not doing it for 10.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: I don't think I'm quite there to where I can hold the conversation.
- 39:16SPEAKER_00: Let's say twelve let's say twenty.
- 39:18SPEAKER_00: I do run for I run for an average of about an hour, but I don't know if I can hold a conversation yet.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: I'm still pretty fat and out of shape.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: Unless you twenty-five.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: Twenty-five.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: I gotta work out the logistics of that.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: I gotta have like my camera, like on my phone where I'm just holding it up, but then I might have like another one off in the distance that's like stationary, and like just kind of cuts to me running on a track every once in a while.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: But yeah, just uh a little a little thought.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, what were you talking about?
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: Fortnite?
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: Call of Duty Fortnite, Call of Duty, yeah, whatever.
- 39:59SPEAKER_00: Get rid of Call of Duty.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: Get rid of it.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: Fortnite is the future.
- 40:02SPEAKER_00: Fortnite's the future, you know what?
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: Fortnite's the past, present, and future.
- 40:06SPEAKER_05: Rocket racing's the only good game mode in Fortnite.
- 40:08SPEAKER_05: You know what?
- 40:09SPEAKER_05: Just get rid of everything but that.
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: They just weren't they trying to like make Fortnite like a console where you could just play like anything in Fortnite.
- 40:20SPEAKER_05: They were trying to do what Roblox did, where it's a game platform and not a game.
- 40:23SPEAKER_05: And they kind of did it.
- 40:24SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 40:26SPEAKER_05: I mean, I play the custom game modes a lot, so or I used to.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: When was the last time we played Fortnite?
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Two years?
- 40:32SPEAKER_00: Something like that.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I have not checked in on that in a while.
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: I know last time we did play that we were probably playing some weird party-ish games.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: I think we were playing like the Box Wars or something.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: Um, I do have another little topic.
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: It kind of goes a little hand in hand with the um the you know, Call of Duty needing to pack it up.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you'll be like super interested in this one, so we don't have to talk about it for a while, but it's just something on my mind.
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: How much do you know about the band Slippy Knot?
- 41:09SPEAKER_00: Slipknot.
- 41:10SPEAKER_00: I know they were kind of a niche band, they're a niche newer band.
- 41:14SPEAKER_05: I think they wear masks, right?
- 41:15SPEAKER_05: They're kind of like Daft Punk, they wear masks.
- 41:18SPEAKER_00: I think so.
- 41:20SPEAKER_00: Um Slipknot needs to pack it the fuck up, dude.
- 41:24SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 41:25SPEAKER_00: They need to pack it up.
- 41:27SPEAKER_00: And you know I like Slipknot.
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: I'm not on the I'm not a huge Slipknot fan.
- 41:32SPEAKER_00: Like, I mean, for people who don't know me, like I like metal, I kinda like everything.
- 41:36SPEAKER_00: I'm not I'll go through like a metal phase maybe for like a month, a year now.
- 41:39SPEAKER_00: You're more of mostly listen to other stuff.
- 41:41SPEAKER_05: You're more of like a tired coin person, right?
- 41:44SPEAKER_05: Oh what?
- 41:45SPEAKER_04: A tired coin.
- 41:50SPEAKER_04: Sure.
- 41:51SPEAKER_04: Sleep token.
- 41:54SPEAKER_04: Oh, shit.
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: That was Alright, that's it for this episode.
- 41:59SPEAKER_00: I'll see you.
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: Shut the fuck up.
- 42:02SPEAKER_00: No, I love Sleep Token.
- 42:03SPEAKER_00: Sleep Token's like my second favorite band.
- 42:05SPEAKER_00: But no, no, I like all kinds of music, which is why I like Sleep Token, because they're kinda all over the place.
- 42:11SPEAKER_00: But I've like slipped on in the past, loved them as a kid, loved their old stuff, newer stuff.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: I even like some of their newer stuff.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: But it's they're making me hate them.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: And it's just one of those situations where you just you don't have to break up.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: But just stop making music.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: Say we're old tired and we want to sit on our asses for a few years.
- 42:33SPEAKER_00: Every five years you come back to a little like reunion tour.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: So so what like System of It Down.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 42:39SPEAKER_05: I was about to say like Fallout Boy.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: Is that what they do?
- 42:43SPEAKER_00: Like, you don't break up and you're probably never getting an album from them again, especially like System of It Down, but they do shows every once in a while, you know?
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: Do okay, so I'll I'll try to be brief with this, but I mean Slipknot has a long history.
- 42:57SPEAKER_00: For people who don't know, I'm sure everybody, at least someone, knows of them.
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: But it's this like power metal band with they have like a ridiculous amount of members.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: I believe they started with nine.
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: And you know, some tragedy befell them.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: Um it's not like all their fault, but they've turned more into like a business than a band.
- 43:15SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 43:17SPEAKER_00: Um so they had the death of Paul Grey, 2008, I believe.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: Their bass player died.
- 43:23SPEAKER_00: And then I I'm I'm definitely gonna mix up the timeline.
- 43:26SPEAKER_00: I do not have it up in front of me.
- 43:28SPEAKER_00: Um I was a little too lazy to write it all down, but they lost their bass player, they kicked out uh Chris Finn, who was one of the percussionists.
- 43:37SPEAKER_00: They kicked out Joey Jordison, the drummer, who like everyone is that's the favorite drummer.
- 43:43SPEAKER_00: And then they brought in a replacement bass player and replacement drummer.
- 43:49SPEAKER_00: Now I this replacement drummer, his name is important, Jay Weinberg.
- 43:52SPEAKER_00: I love Jay Weinberg.
- 43:53SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna say he's the best slipknot drummer of all time.
- 43:56SPEAKER_00: I just personally like him.
- 43:57SPEAKER_00: He's a cool dude, I like his drumming style.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: And I learned a lot from him.
- 44:01SPEAKER_00: Like when I used to do drum covers and stuff.
- 44:04SPEAKER_00: I did I copied a lot of what he did and did all their songs from that era.
- 44:08SPEAKER_00: Um see they they lost Paul Gray, they kicked out Joey Jordison, Joey Jordison died.
- 44:17SPEAKER_00: Um and he was kicked out because he had some like something wrong with his legs, like some like nerve disease or something, which he eventually I believe recovered from and joined another band.
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: But they're like, oh your legs don't work anymore.
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: Bye.
- 44:29SPEAKER_00: And it just kind of seemed and then he ended up dying.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: I don't remember why, I think he died in his sleep of something, but um and then at some point that Chris kicked out Chris Finn.
- 44:38SPEAKER_00: So they're like three members down, OG members down.
- 44:41SPEAKER_05: How many members replacements?
- 44:43SPEAKER_05: How many members before they're not the same band anymore?
- 44:45SPEAKER_05: Would you consider that they're not Slipknot anymore?
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: I think they did fine after this.
- 44:52SPEAKER_00: Because as far as I can recall, they lost Chris Finn.
- 44:56SPEAKER_00: Or I guess, yeah, they lost three and replaced them all eventually.
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: Um Chris Finn was a lot later.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: I know I'm mixing up this timeline, but for a while it was just a replacement bassist and replacement drummer.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: I think they did fine in those years that they they put out a few albums.
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: Like it was never quite as hard as their old stuff used to be, but I enjoyed it.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: Some of my favorite ones, and then the Chris Finn thing happened, they replaced him.
- 45:19SPEAKER_00: I even like the next album that came out.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: I believe it was 2019.
- 45:23SPEAKER_00: Um, I think it's called We Are Not Your Kind.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: And uh, you know, it's like, man, they're losing a lot of people, it's not really what it used to be.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: Um and then they put out some something in 2022, that shit was ass.
- 45:38SPEAKER_00: It was already just like they're trying too hard to replicate their old style, and it just yeah, it just wasn't working.
- 45:44SPEAKER_00: And I I didn't listen to them.
- 45:45SPEAKER_00: I actually, this is around the time I saw them live, and it was a pretty good show.
- 45:50SPEAKER_00: Um I was kind of drunk, I don't remember a lot of it, to be fair.
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: Um but it was it.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: I saw I saw them live, they're fine.
- 45:58SPEAKER_00: And then you know, I hadn't listened to them in a while.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: I don't again, they're not they may be like my top 15, but I don't like love them.
- 46:05SPEAKER_00: But anyway, I'm I'm yapping too long, let me skip to the point.
- 46:08SPEAKER_00: They're down, and then they kicked out recently.
- 46:13SPEAKER_00: Let me make sure I'm not missing any members here.
- 46:15SPEAKER_00: No, Craig Jones either left or got kicked out, I don't know, but his only job was to headbang the entire show.
- 46:22SPEAKER_00: He was the spiky head dude.
- 46:23SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you've ever seen him.
- 46:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 46:25SPEAKER_00: And for Sled Knot fans listening, I'm sorry, I didn't write any of this down.
- 46:29SPEAKER_00: I'm going off by pure memory.
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: He was either left or was kicked out.
- 46:32SPEAKER_00: I don't remember.
- 46:33SPEAKER_00: And this was like maybe in the last two or three years.
- 46:36SPEAKER_00: And then I I see this in the headlines.
- 46:38SPEAKER_00: I'm already like not really a big fan anymore.
- 46:39SPEAKER_00: I'm like, really?
- 46:40SPEAKER_00: Like they're just losing another one.
- 46:42SPEAKER_00: And then recently, they kicked out Sid Wilson, who I believe was a founding member.
- 46:47SPEAKER_00: I want to say yeah.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: If I'm wrong.
- 46:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the DJ dude.
- 46:51SPEAKER_00: And great stage presence.
- 46:53SPEAKER_00: I don't even remember why.
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: Who cares?
- 46:56SPEAKER_00: But they kick him out.
- 46:57SPEAKER_00: I believe they're at four original members now.
- 46:59SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna count them on my hand.
- 47:00SPEAKER_00: We see that Corey, Jim, Mick, Sean.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: I believe that's it.
- 47:07SPEAKER_00: So we're four out of nine original members, constant kick outs.
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, I completely skipped over.
- 47:12SPEAKER_00: I forgot they kicked Jay out.
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: Like sometime in the last two years.
- 47:16SPEAKER_00: That's I've I I'm so sorry, I completely skipped over that.
- 47:19SPEAKER_00: That was my big turning point.
- 47:21SPEAKER_00: Because it was right after I saw them live, they kicked Jay out for I believe he had like a knee surgery, and he was gonna be out for like six months, and they like just didn't want to wait on him.
- 47:30SPEAKER_00: That is wild.
- 47:31SPEAKER_00: What the Which is like s it's a similar vibe to why they kicked Joey out.
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: But yeah, no, there's just this constant like kicking people out.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: I think the Chris one was Chris was like, hey guys, I think you're stealing money from me, like you're not distributing the money fairly.
- 47:47SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna sue you, and they're like, How dare you sue us?
- 47:49SPEAKER_00: You're kicked out.
- 47:50SPEAKER_00: I don't even remember what happened in that case, but it's just turned more into a business.
- 47:54SPEAKER_00: And so after they kicked sit out, which was sometime in like the last month, again, I've been waiting to talk about this for a while.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: I'm like fuzzy on it.
- 48:02SPEAKER_00: And that's when I was like, dude, y'all need to pack it up.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: And then they put out a new song, teasing new music.
- 48:09SPEAKER_00: And it's it's bad when you the top comment, especially on a slipknot comment, is Slipknot threatens to release new music, you know?
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: It was bad, dude.
- 48:18SPEAKER_00: If I wasn't on like this shitty laptop, I was gonna like have us go watch it and like film a reaction to it.
- 48:24SPEAKER_00: We can maybe do that after this.
- 48:26SPEAKER_00: I'm probably not gonna be able to record it, but it was they're trying to be like new, I guess.
- 48:30SPEAKER_00: Or I've heard some fans are trying to be like really, really old to like their really old roots.
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: That shit was hot fucking ass, and I am just they need to pack it the fuck up and I don't know.
- 48:43SPEAKER_00: I don't know how much you're familiar with Slipknot or anything, but there's it's just bands in general, like there gets to a point where like you're just too old, man.
- 48:52SPEAKER_00: Like, you don't got it anymore.
- 48:54SPEAKER_00: That's fine, no one expects it of you.
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: Well, because they've been a band.
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: You can just be like, you know, we're no longer touring and actively making music.
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: Like a hiatus.
- 49:07SPEAKER_00: Just go on a indefinite hiatus.
- 49:10SPEAKER_00: Cause then you the door is open.
- 49:11SPEAKER_00: If you want to like do a reunion tour, ten years later you're like, you know what?
- 49:15SPEAKER_00: Let's go record a fucking album again, you know?
- 49:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:17SPEAKER_00: That's there.
- 49:18SPEAKER_00: But stop trying to force it.
- 49:21SPEAKER_00: Well, it's almost like how long have they been a band for?
- 49:25SPEAKER_00: Um, I I'm gonna say 1995, I'm pretty sure.
- 49:29SPEAKER_00: So So they had like demos, EP shit.
- 49:31SPEAKER_00: Their first official album, which was all those songs from 1995, came out in 99.
- 49:37SPEAKER_00: So, like, if you look at their like discography, a lot of it's gonna say 99, but I believe they started in ninety-five.
- 49:43SPEAKER_05: But that's still twenty-five years of being a band, dude.
- 49:46SPEAKER_05: That's a great run.
- 49:47SPEAKER_05: You're good.
- 49:48unknown: Yeah.
- 49:49SPEAKER_00: That's like 30 years, dude.
- 49:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:51SPEAKER_00: Y'all are they're old.
- 49:53SPEAKER_00: I haven't checked their ages in a while, but they're old.
- 49:56SPEAKER_05: But it's like when, um what is it?
- 49:59SPEAKER_05: It's like when it's like, oh, Kiss is going on tour, and it's like, why?
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: It's like I mean It depends how often they go on tour.
- 50:09SPEAKER_05: They go like they go on tour like once every four years, I wanna say.
- 50:13SPEAKER_00: That's fine.
- 50:14SPEAKER_05: No, but it's like if Kiss tried to make a new album and it's like no one's Okay, a new album's different.
- 50:19SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 50:20SPEAKER_00: Slipknot's in that age group where they could go on a hiatus for six years, five, six years.
- 50:27SPEAKER_00: I was trying so hard to avoid saying six, seven or five or six years, and then maybe maybe make an EP or an album, just a short one.
- 50:34SPEAKER_00: Maybe not even go on Torfo, just like you know, we felt like it.
- 50:38SPEAKER_00: But it just feels like they're trying to force it so hard and they're trying to be so badass, and they're really hurting themselves because Corey Taylor, the singer, is collaborating with people like Ronnie Radke.
- 50:49SPEAKER_00: Ah.
- 50:50SPEAKER_00: He just featured on a song with him, and I fucking hate Ronnie Radke so much, and I can't wait to clip this and post it on TikTok because that motherfucker will respond to it and like roast me.
- 51:00SPEAKER_00: So that's a good way to get views right there.
- 51:03SPEAKER_05: Um, Slipknot X Baby Metal When.
- 51:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 51:08SPEAKER_00: I'm surprised that hasn't happened, honestly.
- 51:10SPEAKER_00: They'll collab with anybody.
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: They'd probably look at them and be like, no, they're kinda on their way out, bro.
- 51:15SPEAKER_00: We don't wanna that's gonna diminish us.
- 51:19SPEAKER_00: I love my favorite collab, uh sorry real quick.
- 51:22SPEAKER_00: I loved the baby metal, uh baby metal bloodywood collab, you know, that Indian folk metal band.
- 51:29SPEAKER_00: Because they loved them so much they went collab again with them.
- 51:31SPEAKER_00: They have two songs with them, which is awesome.
- 51:34SPEAKER_00: They're like, nah, fuck Slipknot, but we'll keep rocking with these dudes.
- 51:38SPEAKER_05: Like these No, that was like um because Baby Metal, uh they they went on tour with like uh let me let me look it up.
- 51:47SPEAKER_00: I still want to see them live, but their tickets are so expensive.
- 51:51SPEAKER_00: I know all the dances, I'm gonna be up there, like Gimme the Chunko Letto, Chunkolet.
- 51:57SPEAKER_05: No, they because I wanted to buy tickets to the show so bad, but I didn't have the money at the time.
- 52:01SPEAKER_05: It was Baby Metal X Deathlock, and Deathlock was a a fake it was a fake band from uh cartoon or adult swim show.
- 52:11SPEAKER_05: And the Really?
- 52:12SPEAKER_05: Yeah, they were a fake metal band, and the the whole point of the show was the fans are so like into the death metal band that like hundreds of people will die at their concerts, but people still come.
- 52:23SPEAKER_05: Jesus Christ.
- 52:25SPEAKER_05: Uh but they had good songs.
- 52:28SPEAKER_05: Deathlox is actually really, really well composed band, even if they're fake, yeah.
- 52:34SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 52:36SPEAKER_05: Uh but uh I don't know.
- 52:38SPEAKER_05: I think it's just one of those things where it's like, especially for us because we're getting older, we're seeing those like, hey, I love this as a kid, and then you look it up and it's like, why are you still doing stuff, man?
- 52:48SPEAKER_05: Just retired.
- 52:50SPEAKER_00: Most don't.
- 52:51SPEAKER_00: Most do pack it up and let it go.
- 52:53SPEAKER_00: That's why it's pissing me off so much, because I'm like, y'all, y'all are y'all are fucking awesome.
- 52:58SPEAKER_00: Y'all are like on top of the world.
- 53:00SPEAKER_00: They were so huge in the even in the early 2010s when they weren't doing so hot.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: They were huge.
- 53:06SPEAKER_00: No, literally.
- 53:07SPEAKER_05: They're the what the biggest band in the world, I want to say.
- 53:10SPEAKER_00: I think for a while.
- 53:12SPEAKER_00: I don't know if they still are, but like I didn't want to say that because I wasn't sure if that was actually true, or like some shit I heard as a fan.
- 53:17SPEAKER_00: I was like, yeah, definitely.
- 53:19SPEAKER_00: You know, like they're the biggest.
- 53:21SPEAKER_00: Um, but that's like what I would always hear.
- 53:23SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, statistically they're like the biggest in the world.
- 53:26SPEAKER_00: But it's like, um what is it?
- 53:30SPEAKER_05: My one of my favorite metal bands, and I don't know if you consider them metal, the metal community doesn't consider them metal anymore.
- 53:36SPEAKER_05: I love Iron Maiden.
- 53:39SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 53:39SPEAKER_05: They still go on tour, they still release albums, and the albums aren't good.
- 53:44SPEAKER_05: Like, it's just like that money, bro.
- 53:47SPEAKER_00: It's like I can't sell their soul?
- 53:49SPEAKER_00: Is that what they did?
- 53:50SPEAKER_00: They're just trying to make a band.
- 53:52SPEAKER_05: I don't know, dude.
- 53:53SPEAKER_05: After twenty albums, I think you should kind of just be like, you know what, we're good.
- 53:57SPEAKER_00: So I was actually I've been thinking about this a lot this week because I just recently watched one.
- 54:02SPEAKER_00: How familiar we I'll I'll try not to go too long on this, but how familiar are you familiar are you with uh Dance Cabin Dance?
- 54:10SPEAKER_05: Uh you showed me a few other songs, that is the extent of my knowledge.
- 54:15SPEAKER_00: I don't remember which ones I showed you.
- 54:17SPEAKER_00: I did see someone call them burger music the other day that made me irrationally angry because that is just not true.
- 54:23SPEAKER_00: But anyway, so they're like the one case where it really doesn't matter who leaves the band as long as this one guy stays in the band, it's Dance Gabin Dance.
- 54:34SPEAKER_00: So they have like a a vocal, like a singer curse.
- 54:39SPEAKER_00: They have been through four vocalists now, with I believe seven vocalist changes.
- 54:45SPEAKER_00: What I mean by that is their screamer left and then rejoined once.
- 54:49SPEAKER_00: So I guess that counts as a change.
- 54:51SPEAKER_00: Then you had the four singers, and then two of them left and then came back at another point.
- 54:56SPEAKER_00: So like six there, yeah.
- 54:57SPEAKER_00: So like they've been through a bunch, but they always have like been pretty solid, and they they're one of those like bands that like grind, they've like cracked a formula, and they literally put out a like a pretty solid eight out of ten album every year, or every like year and a half.
- 55:13SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I think just be the way it falls, it skips a year.
- 55:16SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 55:17SPEAKER_00: You know, but it's like almost every year.
- 55:19SPEAKER_00: They put out so many albums, and that's because of their guitarist.
- 55:22SPEAKER_00: I watched this whole documentary, it's like this is their secret weapon, because they've eventually essentially invented their own genre, which is called like Swan Core.
- 55:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 55:30SPEAKER_00: Off of the guitar player Will Swan.
- 55:32SPEAKER_00: And when I like really thought about it, I was like, I really don't care who sings on Dance Cavin Dance anymore, because you just know after a few years the singer's gonna do something bad and get kicked out.
- 55:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 55:43SPEAKER_00: Um, but at the same time, that the instrumental will always sound the same.
- 55:49SPEAKER_00: Yet it's always refreshing.
- 55:50SPEAKER_00: It's never like this boring the same.
- 55:52SPEAKER_00: It'll always sound like them.
- 55:54SPEAKER_00: You could play me any song I've never heard by them, which there are a few, no vocals or anything, and I could tell you if it's them or not.
- 56:01SPEAKER_00: Because they've like cracked the code.
- 56:03SPEAKER_00: It's it's I honestly I will give it up to the drummer too, but as long as the drummer guitar players stay, it doesn't matter who leaves or stays in that band.
- 56:10SPEAKER_05: Well, it's like um speaking of new singers, uh Lincoln Park.
- 56:16SPEAKER_05: Are they still Lincoln Park?
- 56:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I want to I would love to talk about this.
- 56:20SPEAKER_00: Um so dude, I gotta try not to get emotional.
- 56:25SPEAKER_00: So my favorite band is Lincoln Park.
- 56:27SPEAKER_00: I've and it's weird to say at such a young age that I've been listening to them for twenty years now.
- 56:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 56:33SPEAKER_00: I remember being six years old on my porch riding back in up either like a really long porch.
- 56:39SPEAKER_00: I'd ride my uh Spider-Man scooter back and forth on it with a CD player my mom got me of um whatever one was out at that time, but like what I've done, you know.
- 56:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 56:50SPEAKER_00: I used to watch what I've done to like my favorite video was a Naruto AMV with what I've done on it.
- 56:56SPEAKER_00: Like edit like old YouTube days.
- 56:58SPEAKER_00: But I love Lincoln Park.
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: I it's actually the only I'm gonna say I can't believe I'm gonna say this on the internet.
- 57:04SPEAKER_00: The only celebrity that I sometimes like on its death anniversary, like cry a little bit.
- 57:08SPEAKER_00: And I usually just like get drunk and watch videos of them all night.
- 57:12SPEAKER_00: Um I really did not want to accept the new singer for a long time.
- 57:19SPEAKER_00: You don't like Sarah?
- 57:20SPEAKER_00: I knew I knew deep down I was like, okay, it's nothing against her.
- 57:23SPEAKER_00: She's a great singer.
- 57:25SPEAKER_00: I just can't accept this right now.
- 57:27SPEAKER_00: And they've been she's been in the band like two, I think coming on two years now.
- 57:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's five years.
- 57:33SPEAKER_00: Literally, literally this month, I've started listening to their live stuff.
- 57:38SPEAKER_00: I mean, I've heard the songs when it came out, like the big ones she did.
- 57:42SPEAKER_00: But I'm just now getting to a point where I'm like, because I knew deep down, like, that's what you know Chester would want.
- 57:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 57:49SPEAKER_00: You know, he'd want them to do that.
- 57:51SPEAKER_00: But like, I personally was like, nah, I need a more in this for a while.
- 57:55SPEAKER_00: Like, and I in my background, I said that a lot, I was like, this just doesn't feel like Lincoln Park anymore.
- 58:00SPEAKER_00: I was always like, why not just make a new band, bro, and stuff, and I'm coming around to it now.
- 58:04SPEAKER_00: Like, that's I was actually about to bring that up anyway, because this last month I've been getting back another stuff, and I'm like, I'm on like the other side now where I've kind of like accepted it.
- 58:16SPEAKER_00: And you know.
- 58:17SPEAKER_00: But it's gonna happen regardless.
- 58:19SPEAKER_00: It is Lincoln Park though, because Chester wasn't even the original singer, you know?
- 58:23SPEAKER_05: That's true.
- 58:23SPEAKER_05: Uh it but it's like one of those things that's like because I was on the same fence.
- 58:28SPEAKER_05: I love Lincoln Park, they're a great band.
- 58:30SPEAKER_05: Uh but but it's like I know he wasn't the original singer, but it felt like Chester was Lincoln Park, and he still is to a lot of people.
- 58:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but he he really was a one-of-a-kind, like truly just one of a kind vocalist.
- 58:46SPEAKER_00: But if you take him out, he I think because of his greatness, it overshadows and like diminishes like how great the rest of the band is.
- 58:55SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 58:56SPEAKER_00: Like they're really great too, but because he was so good, it makes him just look like he's a star and they don't matter.
- 59:02SPEAKER_00: Like, but like, I mean, I was the first well, the first song they put out with her was The Emptiness Emptiness Machine.
- 59:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 59:09SPEAKER_00: And then I believe Heavy is the Crown.
- 59:11SPEAKER_00: That sounds like Lincoln Park, man.
- 59:13SPEAKER_00: I could even hear Chester singing those exact lines that she does.
- 59:17SPEAKER_00: She's a perfect fit for his type of vocals and stuff.
- 59:22SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, like yeah.
- 59:26SPEAKER_00: It's I I knew personally, I was like, I'm gonna be bitter about this for a while, but I'll probably like come around.
- 59:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 59:33SPEAKER_00: And I did, and I've gotten to a point.
- 59:35SPEAKER_00: Well now I can actually see them live because I was I don't I don't remember what year it was, but I was supposed to see Lincoln Park live, and my mom couldn't find any tickets where we were, so we were gonna fly to Iowa to see them.
- 59:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 59:49SPEAKER_00: And then Chester broke his leg and cancelled the tour, the rest of the tour.
- 59:53SPEAKER_00: And then I wasn't too too many years after that when, you know, he he took his life, and uh I was like so bitter about that, I was like, oh my god, I'm never gonna see them live.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_00: So that's one thing I didn't even really consider now that they're touring and making music again, is like I can still see them.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_05: I'll never I'll never get to see Chester, and that's something I'm just gonna have to accept, but Well, I always think of it like as you said, sometimes it like, oh, you don't see the greatness of the other people.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_05: Uh that brings me to like Nirvana.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_05: Everyone in that band was really good.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_05: I mean, fucking the drummer created the Foo Fighters right after that, so Oh yeah, I always forget about that.
- 1:00:32SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that for a very long time.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_05: No, it's like he was like, Yeah, I just became I started my own band, I'm the lead singer of the Foo Fighters now, and I'm just like, What?
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_05: I did not know that.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, then he ruined it by cheating on his wife.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_05: I mean, yeah, but I mean yeah, but like it's like when people shit on Kanye, it's like, dude, he made graduation.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_05: Come on.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, bro.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_00: Jesus Christ.
- 1:01:02SPEAKER_05: I am a Kanye apologist, I will say it loud and proud.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_00: No, that's that's a wrong opinion.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_00: Sorry, no, I uh you should not have brought up fucking Lincoln Park, Brian.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_00: I was gonna yap forever on that, but no.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_00: I I I hate to say it.
- 1:01:21SPEAKER_05: Go ahead.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_05: I hate to say it.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_05: My introduction to new Lincoln Park was the fucking Kai Sonette stream where he had them on, and I was like, oh, Lincoln Park's back?
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_05: Oh god.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_00: I was like, uh, they're back?
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_00: They they've always been like on the next big thing, so and Mike's a little bit, you know, older boomer.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_00: So he's like, oh yeah, streaming is the next big thing.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_00: Let's just go on like a popular stream.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_00: Like I don't really blame him for it.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_00: He kind of reminds me of like a wholesome dad who like is just trying to be cool and you can't really like fault him for it.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_00: It's yeah.
- 1:01:53SPEAKER_00: I saw I saw like clips of that.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_00: I didn't watch the whole thing, but um Yeah, I know Lincoln Park, you know, however you want to feel about them, I think I think it's still Lincoln Park at the end of the day.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_00: It's you're never gonna replace someone like Chester, but you can still start a new era, and like I think Emily is a great choice.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_00: I really don't I can't see who else could literally replicate even remotely what he doesn't hit those notes.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_00: No, it's Lincoln's ridiculous.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_05: There'll never be a new Chester, but there'll be a new Lincoln Park, and I'm I'm fine with that.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_00: And I loved how everyone talked about if Lincoln Park came back, they're like, it's gotta be a female.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_00: Like no one could name a single male singer that can do what he did.
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_00: It's just too high, but um, I know we talked about doing a a game segment.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_00: We are over an hour, but do you wanna still try and do that?
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_05: Uh yeah, sure.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_05: If you get something queued up.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_00: Okay, we can do that.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_00: I I didn't really want to do this because I'd have to cut it, but I do gotta I gotta go to the little boys' room real quick.
- 1:03:00SPEAKER_00: So I need I need mice.
- 1:03:02SPEAKER_00: Let's do piss.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_00: Go ahead and just leave a recording.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_00: And uh we'll be right back.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_00: I'll cut that later in post.
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_00: Editor, turn my mic off so no one hears me pissing.
- 1:03:13SPEAKER_05: Editor, turn my mic up so you hear me pissing.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_01: It starts with one thing.
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_01: I don't know why.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_01: It doesn't even matter how hard you try.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_01: Keep that in mind, our design is random explaining two time.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_01: All I know time is a valuable thing.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_01: Watch a clock buy as the pendulum swings, watch a countdown to the end of the day, the type takes that away.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_01: So uh we didn't look out below.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_01: Watch the time go right out the window, trying to hold on to didn't even know we're wasting it at all.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_02: Just to watch you get the bit to be a bit of a time.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_00: Not just Discord delaying the the singing there, but you're the way your hair you had your hair for a second.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_00: There's just like this little bit sticking up like a troll ball.
- 1:04:13SPEAKER_00: Welcome back.
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_00: Potty breaks over.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, so uh we kind of forgot to do this the first episode, but we're gonna do like a little uh like I guess game goofy section at the end of each episode for a few minutes, you know, play some some fun games because we wanna play games and bond with each other and definitely not steal ideas from the internet of playing games and then uploading them to TikTok for views because that's what brain rot kids want to watch.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_05: That's totally not what we're doing, you know.
- 1:04:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_00: No, but I mean that's like but a plus.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_00: I generally just like I've been like wanting to play games like this for a while.
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_00: Um, we may not play the same game every week, obviously.
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_00: We'll do different ones.
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_00: We may repeat them every once in a while.
- 1:04:59SPEAKER_02: Excuse me.
- 1:05:03SPEAKER_00: But um, you wanted to do blind ranking.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:05:08SPEAKER_00: So we were we were texting about this, and I did not write these on my computer, sorry, so I'm gonna be looking down at my phone like a like a noob.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_00: I've been so busy this week.
- 1:05:20SPEAKER_00: I meant to have like everything up on my computer, but like I have like half of it up there, some none of it up there, and then some on my phone, like you know.
- 1:05:28SPEAKER_00: But um So we're gonna do blind ranking.
- 1:05:31SPEAKER_00: I'm guessing of like five things, where I'm gonna give you um five things one at a time.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_00: You gotta rank them one through five, but you don't know what's coming next.
- 1:05:42SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:05:42SPEAKER_00: Now, we have since decided through text, why is my camera so blurry?
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_00: We have since decided that you wanted to do like categories or whatever.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:05:52SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that.
- 1:05:53SPEAKER_00: I have written down categories since then, but if you want to keep playing, I also did my favorite version, which is blind range.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_00: Completely random things.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's do that one.
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_00: That have okay, we could do both.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_00: You sure you don't want to do the category ones first?
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_05: Okay, let's do a category first.
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_00: A category.
- 1:06:11SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'll let you pick.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_00: I've got uh band slash artists, so just musical artists, mostly mainstream, uh a few like niche ones in there.
- 1:06:21SPEAKER_00: Video games or TV shows.
- 1:06:25SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:06:27SPEAKER_00: So I didn't know how I was gonna do this, so I just started writing down.
- 1:06:31SPEAKER_00: I wrote down like 50 artists, and then I was gonna like randomize it and pick five, but I think I'm just gonna pick five randomly from here.
- 1:06:38SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 1:06:39SPEAKER_00: Um here, I'm gonna hold my finger up to it, and then I'm gonna tell me when to stop.
- 1:06:45SPEAKER_00: Stop Drake.
- 1:06:49SPEAKER_00: Please rank Drake one through five.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_00: Five.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
- 1:06:54SPEAKER_00: I am not a fan.
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_00: I'm not a fan.
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 1:06:58SPEAKER_00: You're a fucking Kendra Clamara loser.
- 1:07:01SPEAKER_00: You fuck I'm just kidding.
- 1:07:04SPEAKER_00: Um alright.
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_00: Tell me when to stop.
- 1:07:07SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm just running my finger like along this list or whatever.
- 1:07:11SPEAKER_00: Tell me when to stop.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_00: Stop.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_02: Alright, Leonard Skinner.
- 1:07:24SPEAKER_02: What?
- 1:07:24SPEAKER_02: Not the great Leonard Skinner.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_02: The day the music died.
- 1:07:29SPEAKER_02: I think home Alabama.
- 1:07:31SPEAKER_02: I think they're good, but they're just not me, dude.
- 1:07:34SPEAKER_00: Bro.
- 1:07:36SPEAKER_00: I just listened to Freebird the other day for the first time in like years.
- 1:07:39SPEAKER_00: I did not know that that guitar solo was four minutes long.
- 1:07:44SPEAKER_00: Okay, so.
- 1:07:46SPEAKER_00: Well, this is pretty easy.
- 1:07:47SPEAKER_00: We're just going down the list, like you got five and four now.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_00: Alright, we're gonna go back up the list now.
- 1:07:52SPEAKER_00: God, I wrote some crazy ones on here.
- 1:07:55SPEAKER_00: Tell me when to stop.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_00: Stop.
- 1:07:57SPEAKER_00: I didn't even start.
- 1:07:59SPEAKER_00: You want me to do the first one on there?
- 1:08:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:08:03SPEAKER_00: Train.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_00: What?
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_00: Train.
- 1:08:07SPEAKER_01: Hey, soul sister.
- 1:08:09SPEAKER_01: Hey, the Mr.
- 1:08:10SPEAKER_01: Mr.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_01: on the radio.
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_00: I thought you said dreaming.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_00: No, Dream's not on this list.
- 1:08:17SPEAKER_00: Like what is the best because?
- 1:08:19SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm not gonna put Dream on the list because then you have to put them at one, and that just ruins the game.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_00: Uh I I I put them at two.
- 1:08:26SPEAKER_00: Two?
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_00: You put fucking train over Leonard skinny.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's fair.
- 1:08:31SPEAKER_00: I think I'm just in a really like 70s, eighties rock time of my life right now.
- 1:08:35SPEAKER_00: So I'm just really into that stuff.
- 1:08:39SPEAKER_00: A little quick side note though, like it's it's funny, and I remember talking to my dad about this like two or so years ago.
- 1:08:44SPEAKER_00: I was like, dad, isn't it weird that I'm like nostalgic for music that I wasn't even alive for because he would always play that shit when I was a kid, so I grew up with 70s, 80s rock.
- 1:08:55SPEAKER_05: Me listening to the Eagles when I was fucking eight years old, and I'm like, I love this band.
- 1:09:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_00: Anyway, so what did you put them at?
- 1:09:04SPEAKER_00: Two two.
- 1:09:06SPEAKER_00: Two.
- 1:09:06SPEAKER_00: So we only have two spots left.
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_00: We have slot number one and slot number three.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:09:13SPEAKER_00: Give me a goddamn second while I go down this list.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_00: Ready?
- 1:09:17SPEAKER_00: Go.
- 1:09:17SPEAKER_00: Stop.
- 1:09:19SPEAKER_00: I can't tell which one's that on.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_00: Both Okay, I'm gonna tell you I think what it landed on, but I am gonna tell you after what I almost picked.
- 1:09:29SPEAKER_00: Hozier.
- 1:09:30SPEAKER_00: Hozier?
- 1:09:33SPEAKER_00: I love I love him.
- 1:09:35SPEAKER_05: I gotta put him at three.
- 1:09:37SPEAKER_05: I still think there's a better one out there.
- 1:09:39SPEAKER_00: See, my finger was between Hozier and Kids Bob.
- 1:09:43SPEAKER_00: Aww.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_00: Dude, okay.
- 1:09:47SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna close my eyes this time, make sure I don't Okay.
- 1:09:50SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna go now.
- 1:09:53SPEAKER_00: Stop.
- 1:09:54SPEAKER_05: My number one band or artist is Fallout Boy.
- 1:10:01SPEAKER_05: We take that.
- 1:10:02SPEAKER_01: Let's go! We take that.
- 1:10:05SPEAKER_00: Very good.
- 1:10:06SPEAKER_00: Very close to being Fetty Wop.
- 1:10:10SPEAKER_00: Um, just for you.
- 1:10:11SPEAKER_00: Thanks for this 1738.
- 1:10:14SPEAKER_00: Hey.
- 1:10:15SPEAKER_00: So we got number five.
- 1:10:17SPEAKER_00: You put um fuck it, dude.
- 1:10:19SPEAKER_00: I already forgot.
- 1:10:20SPEAKER_00: Five was Drake.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_00: Five was Drake.
- 1:10:23SPEAKER_00: Four was Leonard Skinner.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_00: Three was Hosier.
- 1:10:26SPEAKER_00: Two was um Fuck, dude.
- 1:10:29SPEAKER_00: My memory sucks.
- 1:10:30SPEAKER_05: Hazel Sister.
- 1:10:32SPEAKER_00: Uh Train.
- 1:10:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, those are pretty good list.
- 1:10:35SPEAKER_00: And then we got, you know.
- 1:10:37SPEAKER_00: The goats.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_00: Pretty good list, in my opinion.
- 1:10:40SPEAKER_00: Um, let me just go ahead and go through a couple more.
- 1:10:42SPEAKER_00: I mean, I put pretty much every anyone who has like a hit song, you know, like we had Adele, Bruno Martins, Justin Bieber on here.
- 1:10:49SPEAKER_00: I also put a couple on there just for you.
- 1:10:51SPEAKER_00: So I did have Mom Jeans.
- 1:10:53SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_00: Uh Good Kid.
- 1:10:56SPEAKER_00: I did put some absolute wretched ones on there, like uh Iggy Zalea.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_00: Uh who else did I put on there?
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_00: Oh, dude, I put Earthwind Fire.
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_00: I wanted them so bad.
- 1:11:08SPEAKER_00: Some Two-Door Cinema Club.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, I was so excited for Creed.
- 1:11:11SPEAKER_00: I wanted you to pick Creed.
- 1:11:14SPEAKER_00: Oh, and Smashmouth, dude.
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_00: I would have loved for you to pick Smashmouth, but no bowling for soup.
- 1:11:21SPEAKER_00: I did I think I thought about putting them on there and I didn't.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_00: That's my fault, honestly.
- 1:11:25SPEAKER_05: Dude, they would have been number one.
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_00: I put Weezer I put Weezer on there and not bowling for soup.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_00: Do you want to do any, but you just like come um put them off the dome for me?
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_00: Before we move on to my absolutely cursed, completely random ones.
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_05: Okay, I got it.
- 1:11:44SPEAKER_05: I've been thinking about this one.
- 1:11:46SPEAKER_05: Top ten places.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_05: Uh not that ten.
- 1:11:50SPEAKER_05: Top five places to go to the restroom on a road trip.
- 1:11:56SPEAKER_00: To go to the restroom on a road trip.
- 1:11:59SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 1:12:02SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 1:12:03SPEAKER_00: Well, I guess I'll do five.
- 1:12:04SPEAKER_00: Give it to me.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_05: Okay, first one.
- 1:12:08SPEAKER_05: Side of the road.
- 1:12:09SPEAKER_05: Classic.
- 1:12:12SPEAKER_00: Guy, man.
- 1:12:14SPEAKER_00: Hmm.
- 1:12:18SPEAKER_00: That's a tough one.
- 1:12:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, literally, as long as you just as long as you get at like a good angle on the car where you don't gotta worry about anyone seeing you, it's still a little adrenaline inducing, a little like a little bit of a little bit of a little bit more.
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_00: Wait, you go you go on the car?
- 1:12:31SPEAKER_00: On the car.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_00: I meant like using the car to like kind of block your the view from the road.
- 1:12:36SPEAKER_05: Dude, I just walk into the woods on the side of the highway.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_05: If you can't, if you can't.
- 1:12:40SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:12:40SPEAKER_00: I'm just depending, like, if it's an open field.
- 1:12:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:12:42SPEAKER_00: You know, I live in fucking Texas.
- 1:12:44SPEAKER_00: That's like 99% of the goddamn landscape.
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_00: It's if it's just field and there's nowhere to go, you kind of just gotta like get on an angle of the car, like your back to it to where like neither side of the road can see you.
- 1:12:55SPEAKER_00: Ooh, that's a tough one.
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_00: But I'm I'm just gonna go right in the middle.
- 1:13:01SPEAKER_00: Three.
- 1:13:02SPEAKER_00: Three?
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_00: Because I know you probably put some rough ones in there, but I know there's gonna be some really good ones too, and I just yeah, I'll go three.
- 1:13:10SPEAKER_05: Speaking of rough ones, Gatorade bottle.
- 1:13:14SPEAKER_00: Like in the car?
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_05: Like like I need to get there at a certain time.
- 1:13:18SPEAKER_05: I cannot stop.
- 1:13:20SPEAKER_00: I've actually never done that, have you?
- 1:13:22SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:13:24SPEAKER_00: You're gross.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_05: You you just use a Gatorade bottle and you throw it out at the car at the end.
- 1:13:29SPEAKER_05: It's nature.
- 1:13:30SPEAKER_00: No, you don't throw it out, you keep on to it and throw in a trash can like a good person.
- 1:13:34SPEAKER_00: Ugh.
- 1:13:35SPEAKER_00: You're gross and you suck.
- 1:13:38SPEAKER_00: I'm just kidding.
- 1:13:39SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't hold on to that.
- 1:13:41SPEAKER_00: I'm like all like no littering until that happens.
- 1:13:43SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, Yeah, you're going out the fucking window, buddy.
- 1:13:47SPEAKER_05: It's like you're gonna smell your piss for the rest of the road trip.
- 1:13:50SPEAKER_00: Just in the Oh God, I wanna put it at five, but I feel like you put a worse one on there.
- 1:13:58SPEAKER_00: I can just tell by your fucking grin.
- 1:14:00SPEAKER_00: I'll go four.
- 1:14:02SPEAKER_05: Four.
- 1:14:03SPEAKER_00: This is rough because I gotta go now I have to go either way.
- 1:14:06SPEAKER_00: I've gotta go best or worst here.
- 1:14:09SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:14:10SPEAKER_04: Bucky's restroom.
- 1:14:12SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:14:18SPEAKER_00: Man.
- 1:14:22SPEAKER_00: I think that's gotta be number one, bro.
- 1:14:24SPEAKER_05: That's number one?
- 1:14:25SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 1:14:26SPEAKER_00: I just don't there's no way you have a better one than that on your little list.
- 1:14:30SPEAKER_00: Um Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Bucky in recent times, but it's I mean, it's an experience.
- 1:14:37SPEAKER_00: You just gotta.
- 1:14:39SPEAKER_00: That's something everyone's gotta experience once in their life.
- 1:14:41SPEAKER_00: Beautiful bathroom.
- 1:14:42SPEAKER_00: If you haven't been to Bucky's or like in Texas, they're in aren't they in more places in Texas now?
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_05: Yeah, there's one where I live.
- 1:14:49SPEAKER_00: Oh, really?
- 1:14:50SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:14:52SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_00: So what do they sell there?
- 1:14:54SPEAKER_00: There's no way they sell like Texas brisket.
- 1:14:56SPEAKER_05: They sell like I've never been there, dude.
- 1:15:00SPEAKER_05: Fucking it's like two hours away.
- 1:15:02SPEAKER_05: I'm not driving just to go to Bucky's.
- 1:15:06SPEAKER_05: What's it called?
- 1:15:07SPEAKER_05: Uh so you have one, three, one, three, and four, right?
- 1:15:14SPEAKER_00: Which means I got slot two and five left.
- 1:15:18SPEAKER_00: Oh boy.
- 1:15:20SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 1:15:20SPEAKER_05: Give it to me.
- 1:15:21SPEAKER_05: Give it to me.
- 1:15:23SPEAKER_05: An inner city shell gas station.
- 1:15:29SPEAKER_05: You know exactly what I mean by this.
- 1:15:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, dude.
- 1:15:34SPEAKER_00: I've been at a many of them.
- 1:15:37SPEAKER_05: Unfortunately.
- 1:15:38SPEAKER_05: The w the one where you have to ask for the restroom key and they might not give it to you.
- 1:15:44SPEAKER_00: See, this isn't fair because you know my experience with inner city gas stations.
- 1:15:50SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna have to put that at five.
- 1:15:52SPEAKER_00: There's just no way.
- 1:15:53SPEAKER_00: I'll take my chances on whatever the fuck two is.
- 1:15:56SPEAKER_05: Number two.
- 1:15:58unknown: Oh god.
- 1:15:59SPEAKER_05: Is your destination when you make it there?
- 1:16:03SPEAKER_00: There we go.
- 1:16:04SPEAKER_00: That's not too bad.
- 1:16:06SPEAKER_00: That's not too bad.
- 1:16:06SPEAKER_00: That's too bad.
- 1:16:07SPEAKER_05: I was really hoping you were gonna put that last, and I was gonna be like, ha!
- 1:16:11SPEAKER_00: Why would I do that?
- 1:16:12SPEAKER_00: No, I feel like that's a pretty good list.
- 1:16:14SPEAKER_00: Actually, yeah, no, if you gave me all that like straight right now, I think I would rank it like that, probably.
- 1:16:20SPEAKER_00: Damn, I got lucky with that one.
- 1:16:22SPEAKER_00: I knew there was gonna be some diabolical ones, bro.
- 1:16:25SPEAKER_00: I'm not going to a fucking inner city gas station ever again.
- 1:16:31SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 1:16:33SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 1:16:34SPEAKER_00: You want to do at least one round, maybe more, of my absolutely diabolical dude.
- 1:16:40SPEAKER_00: I've got so many, bro.
- 1:16:41SPEAKER_00: I was just at work the other day.
- 1:16:42SPEAKER_00: Like on my brain, I was just going crazy with just like trying to think of the most random fucking things I could think of.
- 1:16:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, let's do it.
- 1:16:51SPEAKER_00: Oh god, that this is awful.
- 1:16:57SPEAKER_04: Alright.
- 1:17:00SPEAKER_01: Which one do I pick?
- 1:17:02SPEAKER_01: I've got so many.
- 1:17:03SPEAKER_00: You pick one through five.
- 1:17:05SPEAKER_00: Or wait.
- 1:17:07SPEAKER_00: One through six.
- 1:17:08SPEAKER_00: There's six different sets of five.
- 1:17:11SPEAKER_04: Let's do four.
- 1:17:13SPEAKER_04: Four.
- 1:17:17SPEAKER_04: Oh, okay.
- 1:17:18SPEAKER_01: This is gonna be interesting one.
- 1:17:20SPEAKER_01: Alright.
- 1:17:20SPEAKER_00: Your first one.
- 1:17:22SPEAKER_00: This is by the way, just to reiterate, for people who say this is a completely random, it has nothing to do with each other.
- 1:17:28SPEAKER_00: Like, you could get like a cheeseburger and then like the planet Jupiter, and you have to rank them blindly.
- 1:17:34SPEAKER_00: Alright, we got a three-hour Five Nights at Freddy's explanation video on YouTube.
- 1:17:42SPEAKER_05: So you say that?
- 1:17:43SPEAKER_05: I don't mind that.
- 1:17:44SPEAKER_05: I go to sleep to things like that.
- 1:17:46SPEAKER_05: We're putting that at two.
- 1:17:52SPEAKER_00: Putting that at two.
- 1:17:53SPEAKER_00: Putting it at two.
- 1:17:55SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:17:55SPEAKER_00: That's a pretty good one.
- 1:17:56SPEAKER_00: Now they're not really always bad.
- 1:17:58SPEAKER_00: I really just tried to go as random as possible.
- 1:18:01SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 1:18:02SPEAKER_00: Tough one here.
- 1:18:03SPEAKER_00: No show socks.
- 1:18:05SPEAKER_05: No show socks.
- 1:18:07SPEAKER_05: Like like wearing them or on other people.
- 1:18:11SPEAKER_00: No show socks, man.
- 1:18:13SPEAKER_00: What's your opinion?
- 1:18:14SPEAKER_00: I think they're okay.
- 1:18:16SPEAKER_05: I think they're okay.
- 1:18:18SPEAKER_05: I I don't wear them, but I think they're okay.
- 1:18:20SPEAKER_05: We're gonna put that we're gonna put them straight down the middle at three.
- 1:18:25SPEAKER_01: I love this because you don't even third option.
- 1:18:33SPEAKER_00: So you've got what, two and three?
- 1:18:34SPEAKER_00: You put two and three now?
- 1:18:36SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 1:18:37SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 1:18:38SPEAKER_00: Baldur's Gate 3.
- 1:18:40SPEAKER_05: Hmm.
- 1:18:42SPEAKER_00: Ooh, yeah.
- 1:18:43SPEAKER_00: You gotta think about that one.
- 1:18:44SPEAKER_05: You know, for how many hours I put into that game, I don't think I got past the first act.
- 1:18:49SPEAKER_05: I just kept replaying it.
- 1:18:51SPEAKER_05: Wow.
- 1:18:52SPEAKER_00: I never got past the uh spider boss thing.
- 1:18:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:56SPEAKER_00: I know what you're talking about.
- 1:18:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that one, yeah, I know.
- 1:19:01SPEAKER_05: I don't think there's gonna be anything better.
- 1:19:03SPEAKER_05: I'm putting that at one.
- 1:19:05SPEAKER_00: That's pretty good.
- 1:19:06SPEAKER_00: I need to look at this list again and see.
- 1:19:12SPEAKER_04: Next option.
- 1:19:14SPEAKER_04: Keanu Reeves.
- 1:19:21SPEAKER_05: As a person, as an actor, or in general.
- 1:19:25SPEAKER_05: Keanu Reeves.
- 1:19:30SPEAKER_00: I like Bill and Ted.
- 1:19:32SPEAKER_00: We're doing four.
- 1:19:35SPEAKER_00: Damn.
- 1:19:36SPEAKER_00: You said there wasn't gonna be anything better.
- 1:19:38SPEAKER_00: Okay, this one's a perfect because you have five open, right?
- 1:19:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:19:42SPEAKER_00: Alright, Arby's Meat Mountain.
- 1:19:45SPEAKER_03: Five.
- 1:19:47SPEAKER_05: The last time I went to Arby's, all I got was a milkshake.
- 1:19:51SPEAKER_05: I was like, I eat in this fuck-ass food.
- 1:19:54SPEAKER_00: I don't, I think I was like nine the last time I went, so let's reiterate.
- 1:19:58SPEAKER_00: You got number one, Baller's Gate 3.
- 1:20:01SPEAKER_00: Pretty good.
- 1:20:02SPEAKER_00: And then it was it was the FNF video after that, right?
- 1:20:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:20:06SPEAKER_00: Then no show socks, and then Keanu Reeves.
- 1:20:09SPEAKER_00: I personally would have put him above no show socks, although I do wear no show socks.
- 1:20:14SPEAKER_00: I'm a little biased.
- 1:20:15SPEAKER_00: Are you meat man?
- 1:20:16SPEAKER_00: Me man.
- 1:20:21SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 1:20:22SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 1:20:23SPEAKER_00: Do you want to do any more of these?
- 1:20:24SPEAKER_05: Yeah, well, let's do one more.
- 1:20:25SPEAKER_05: Let's do number one.
- 1:20:27SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:20:30SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 1:20:33SPEAKER_05: Mug root beer.
- 1:20:36SPEAKER_05: I'm an AW man.
- 1:20:37SPEAKER_05: We're putting that at five.
- 1:20:42SPEAKER_02: Five?
- 1:20:44SPEAKER_05: We're putting that at five.
- 1:20:46SPEAKER_02: Alright.
- 1:20:47SPEAKER_02: Shit, dude.
- 1:20:48SPEAKER_05: That little bulldog infuriates me.
- 1:20:52SPEAKER_00: I thought root beer fans like you just like Root Beer, yeah, it doesn't matter what brand.
- 1:20:57SPEAKER_00: They don't even beef with each other.
- 1:20:58SPEAKER_00: Have you ever seen a root beer commercial?
- 1:21:01SPEAKER_00: No, because no one fucking drinks it.
- 1:21:03SPEAKER_00: No, they do, but they don't compete with each other because everybody loves root beer.
- 1:21:06SPEAKER_00: I don't even like root beer and I like root beer.

- 1:21:36SPEAKER_05: That's the last thing I heard about tennis.
- 1:21:38SPEAKER_00: Will Smith.
- 1:21:39SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, I was thinking why I wasn't thinking of Will Farrow.
