- 7:00Meredith Oke: Hi, Katelyn Simmons. Welcome to the QVC podcast.
- 7:03Katelyn Simmons: Hello. Thank you so much, Meredith. I'm so
- 7:06excited to be here.
- 7:08Meredith Oke: So am I. I've been following your story, you
- 7:11know, since you took the certification a couple
- 7:15years ago. You were, like, one of the OG early
- 7:17adopters on that, and I've always wanted to chat
- 7:19with you about. And it just kind of now, you
- 7:22know, and then you were like, oh, she's having a
- 7:23baby. I'll leave her alone. And now your baby's
- 7:26one year old, so time to do a podcast.
- 7:30Katelyn Simmons: I'm so excited. And you're the first podcast I've
- 7:32ever been on, so this is, like, ultra special for
- 7:35me.
- 7:36Meredith Oke: Oh, well, I am honored, and I'm excited to tell
- 7:40your story and hear your. Hear your journey and
- 7:43share it with everyone, because it's a good one.
- 7:47And I also just want to mention Caitlin's.
- 7:49Katelyn's baby turned 1 on May 15, and my
- 7:54youngest turned 11 on May 15. And Nico Kennedy,
- 7:59who, many of you know, had her fifth baby on May
- 8:0215th. So we're just gonna all celebrate the May
- 8:0615th quantum babies. Okay, so you started your
- 8:15career in wellness as a massage therapist, and
- 8:23that took you through some experiences that led
- 8:25you down other paths. So let's start there.
- 8:27Katelyn Simmons: Okay. Well, 18, fresh out of high school. I knew
- 8:31I wanted to be in the holistic health world, and
- 8:34I didn't exactly know where that was going to
- 8:37lead. I thought maybe acupuncture or maybe become
- 8:40a naturopath or something. But I started with
- 8:42massage therapy and the local holistic health
- 8:45practitioner program near me, and then ended up
- 8:49falling in love with massage and built my own
- 8:53practice. After working for other people, I kind
- 8:56of got that entrepreneurial itch and was like, I
- 8:59gotta work for myself, and just started working
- 9:04with people and loving, helping people, because
- 9:06it's like, it was so tangible getting to put your
- 9:08hands on someone and then they come in feeling
- 9:11terrible and get up, and then they feel great.
- 9:15But I started to see where it wasn't, like,
- 9:19lasting. It was like, I could help them
- 9:21temporarily. But so many people were coming to me
- 9:24because they had chronic pain or chronic illness
- 9:27or whatever was chronic. And I had. Had. I got
- 9:31diagnosed with Lyme disease back when I was 13.
- 9:34So that was also something in my story where I
- 9:36was, like, also trying to figure out what was
- 9:38going on with me and how I could get really
- 9:43better all the way. So that led me to the
- 9:46lymphatic system. Once I learned about how, you
- 9:50know, why were people so puffy and why would why
- 9:53would the inflammation go down when we would do
- 9:55massage? And so I got trained in lymphatic
- 9:57enhancement technology and bought this fancy
- 9:59equipment for my office and then started seeing
- 10:02better results with my clients. But still, it was
- 10:05like, okay, well, why is their lymphatic system
- 10:08not ever doing it on their own? Like, why is it
- 10:11still stuck? And why are people feeling great
- 10:14maybe for a week or two after they see me? And
- 10:16then having this downhill slump? I need to come
- 10:19back. Because it kind of felt like, wow, these
- 10:22are lifelong clients. That's not. That didn't sit
- 10:25right with me because that's what the Western
- 10:27model felt like.
- 10:29Meredith Oke: Right.
- 10:29Katelyn Simmons: And I had already been through that rabbit hole.
- 10:31Meredith Oke: You wanted to be part of something that was
- 10:34actually helping them stay better.
- 10:36Katelyn Simmons: Yeah.
- 10:37Meredith Oke: Not just have a temporary and.
- 10:39Katelyn Simmons: Yeah. Like, be empowered. So then that led me to
- 10:44becoming an integrative health practitioner and
- 10:47learning about supplements and getting trained in
- 10:50all these different things and just certification
- 10:52after certification searching. Meanwhile, I was
- 10:56still not feeling my best. And I would go into
- 10:59work and love my clients and help my clients and
- 11:02then basically go home feeling terrible after and
- 11:06picking up their energy, feeling drained, feeling
- 11:09exhausted, and just. Just knew something was
- 11:13missing. But I couldn't figure it out. Right.
- 11:16Meredith Oke: Because you've done all the things. You had the
- 11:18massage training, you had the lymphatic training,
- 11:20you had integrative holistic supplement training.
- 11:25And it.
- 11:27Katelyn Simmons: It's.
- 11:27Meredith Oke: That seems like all the things.
- 11:29Katelyn Simmons: Yeah. And it did.
- 11:30Meredith Oke: It feels like that should cover it.
- 11:31Katelyn Simmons: It did.
- 11:32Meredith Oke: When most people enter a holistic healing,
- 11:34they're like, yeah, that sounds good. That's all
- 11:36the things.
- 11:36Katelyn Simmons: Exactly.
- 11:37Meredith Oke: Right.
- 11:38Katelyn Simmons: And, you know, I really didn't know there was
- 11:41more. The only thing I knew I hadn't looked into
- 11:43was energy. Right. But as my belief system as a
- 11:48Christian growing up with this, you know, I guess
- 11:53the paradigm is you stay away from that stuff.
- 11:56Like, I remember feeling so uncomfortable in my
- 11:59massage class just because people were talking
- 12:01about crystals. Now I laugh, but it is something
- 12:05that's real. People are really actually afraid of
- 12:08a lot of this side of things that we're talking
- 12:10about because they don't understand.
- 12:12Meredith Oke: I would love to understand a little bit more
- 12:14about that because I actually did not know that
- 12:17until recently. Until, you know, we. I started
- 12:21getting involved in this world and, you know,
- 12:23switched from creating corporate consulting
- 12:26programs to helping create quantum biology
- 12:31programs. And this has come up several times with
- 12:35different people. And I was raised in the
- 12:38Anglican Church, which in the United States is
- 12:40the Episcopalian church. We didn't really have
- 12:43rules like that. It was a very kind of standard
- 12:48religion where you went and you, you know, they
- 12:50didn't really say much about what you did outside
- 12:53of church. And I just, I didn't know that there
- 12:56was this deep belief where. So if you could
- 13:01explain it to me. Is it. My understanding is that
- 13:03it's like seen as like a form of maybe witchcraft
- 13:07or.
- 13:08Katelyn Simmons: Yes.
- 13:10Meredith Oke: Evil. Evil manipulation of things that we
- 13:13shouldn't be messing around with.
- 13:15Katelyn Simmons: Yeah, it's.
- 13:16Meredith Oke: Or how is it framed?
- 13:18Katelyn Simmons: I think it's probably different each person and
- 13:21what they were taught and what the environment
- 13:23probably felt like as a child or what they were
- 13:25taught in church. For me it was looked at like
- 13:32it's New Age. New Age was just basically this far
- 13:37off thing that you didn't even want to learn
- 13:39about. Like it's evil, it's wrong, it's
- 13:42witchcraft. And that was a whole. That was where
- 13:47my paradigm started to shift was because I was
- 13:49thrown right into it. I went from like sheltered
- 13:51little Caitlyn Christian everything to massage
- 13:56school where then I. Everything in my life,
- 13:59everyone that came in was more New age than
- 14:02anything I had learned. So. And it was just
- 14:05something that you didn't know about or like
- 14:07crystals, those were evil. You see a crystal
- 14:09shop, you don't go in there. That's witchcraft.
- 14:11There's only witches in there. Like it's. And
- 14:13it's not really talked about a lot. It's just you
- 14:17just know you, you're not supposed to do it and
- 14:20you don't learn anything about it or. Does that
- 14:22make sense?
- 14:23Meredith Oke: Yes, it's just sort of like an off limits. Yeah,
- 14:26an off limits topic. And yeah, like I could, I
- 14:31can kind of understand because as with anything,
- 14:34if you take it to its extreme or you do it
- 14:36without ethics or, or grounding or, you know, you
- 14:40have an experienced mentor or guide, like the New
- 14:42Age movement could go way off the rails. So. Or
- 14:46the, the things that are involved in it. So I do
- 14:49understand from a certain perspective that you
- 14:53would want to protect people from that.
- 14:55Katelyn Simmons: And I think then as someone who is really like,
- 14:58I'm really strong in my belief. I'm not. I didn't
- 15:01like leave. I still love Jesus. I'm still a
- 15:04Christian. Like it's just hard for me to want to
- 15:07be connected to the religion side of it because
- 15:09then I feel like it's this weird in between of
- 15:12just trying to explain. Like this is just energy.
- 15:14This is just how, if you believe in God, this is
- 15:17how God made you. This is how you're Made like
- 15:19it's what you're made of. Yeah, just simplifying
- 15:23it and breaking it down. Like, I don't think
- 15:25anyone needs to be afraid of this stuff. And, you
- 15:28know, fear. We know fear is such a low frequency.
- 15:31Like, that's like the worst frequency to be
- 15:33vibrating at. And so helping people switch from
- 15:37fear to actual discernment, where you're really
- 15:42using critical thinking skills and actually
- 15:44looking at things. And, you know, if you read the
- 15:46Bible and you believe the Bible, the Bible just
- 15:49clearly says what to do. And the Bible doesn't
- 15:54say anything about, like, specifically New Age or
- 15:58energy or frequency. And actually, as I've
- 16:01learned more, it strengthened my faith, and it's
- 16:04made me look at the things I've grown up with and
- 16:06read in the Bible and made me realize, wow,
- 16:09laying on of hands, taking every thought captive,
- 16:13like distance walking on water. Like, all of the
- 16:15miracles, they make sense. It's like, whoa, we
- 16:19live in a quantum universe, and that's how we
- 16:21were created. So I think everybody, if you've
- 16:24struggled with that, you really just try to have
- 16:28an open mind and look at the science, look at
- 16:30the. Look at what everything on your podcast,
- 16:32like, everything points back to strengthening
- 16:35your faith. If that's where you come from, if.
- 16:39Meredith Oke: That makes sense, that makes perfect sense. And,
- 16:41Katelyn, you explain that really beautifully. So
- 16:44I'm really glad you're doing this podcast, and I
- 16:46hope you do a lot more because you have really
- 16:50connected, I think, made a connection that is
- 16:52going to be really profound and powerful for
- 16:54people.
- 16:55Katelyn Simmons: I hope so. I hope so, because I just see, you
- 16:58know, I don't believe that anyone was put on this
- 17:01Earth to have to live a painful life. I think
- 17:06that everyone is worthy and capable and, like,
- 17:10it's your birthright to be healthy and blessed
- 17:13and abundant. And for some reason, a lot of stuff
- 17:17in religion says otherwise. And I just want to
- 17:19shed light on that. Like, and this, all. This all
- 17:22points to that. That, like, we're energy, we can
- 17:24raise our vibration, we can raise our frequency.
- 17:26It's just. It's incredible.
- 17:29Meredith Oke: It really is. And I love the word that you used
- 17:32instead of fear. You didn't say faith, you didn't
- 17:34say trust. You said discernment. And I think that
- 17:38is a really good word choice and really profound
- 17:42because nobody's saying, like, oh, just believe
- 17:44everything we say. It's. Use your. Use your best
- 17:47judgment at what makes sense. As you explore
- 17:51these new paradigms, as you explore the available
- 17:53research, as you connect to your own inner
- 17:56wisdom, what feels true and what, what does the
- 17:59evidence point to? And that's not just fully
- 18:03rejecting something out of fear and not just
- 18:05fully embracing something out of. Out of faith,
- 18:08but moving toward it.
- 18:13Katelyn Simmons: I mean, then you'd be watching TV and say, oh,
- 18:15yeah, that's true, that's true. Everything. Like,
- 18:18that's terrible. I tell people that all the time.
- 18:21Like, don't take what I say for truth. Look it up
- 18:24yourself. I even got a message recently, someone
- 18:27saying, like, can you tell me? Like, she was
- 18:30really intense about one of the products I share.
- 18:33I shared about Sheilajit. And it was like, well,
- 18:36what's this? What's that? I'm like, I don't know
- 18:38all the specifics. You can look at all the brands
- 18:41and make a decision for yourself. You don't have
- 18:43to use what I use. So we have to use discernment
- 18:45in everything? Yes, everything we buy. When you
- 18:48go to the grocery store, use your critical
- 18:50thinking and pick what works for you.
- 18:54Meredith Oke: Yes, absolutely. And your discernment. When
- 18:56listening to podcasts, I feel like sometimes
- 18:58you'll have a favorite podcast host and they'll
- 19:00be talking about a thing and you're like, oh, I
- 19:02better take that or do it or order it. It's like,
- 19:04maybe, maybe not. Again, your inner discernment
- 19:08on it. Okay, so let's circle back to your
- 19:11journey. So you had become very well educated in
- 19:15the kind of baseline natural health modalities
- 19:19that a lot of us know. Massage therapy, lymphatic
- 19:22drainage, supplements. And it helped. But you
- 19:28still, even though you felt intellectually like,
- 19:31okay, these are all the things you felt inside.
- 19:33Like, there's something, there's something more.
- 19:36Katelyn Simmons: Yeah. And my, my body was screaming at me too.
- 19:40Like, it. There was clear signs, like,
- 19:42something's missing. Because I was still
- 19:44struggling, not healing from trauma I had been
- 19:48through. I'd been through a lot of trauma care.
- 19:50Like, I had chronic lower back pain from an
- 19:53accident I had been in. I had anxiety,
- 19:56depression, ptsd. I couldn't drive my car to my
- 19:59office without having to plan to literally be
- 20:02able to pull over and work through a panic
- 20:03attack. Like, I was holding it together with
- 20:08trying to help my clients and trying to help
- 20:10myself. And just literally by the end of the day,
- 20:13it was like there were days I would crawl up the
- 20:16stairs to my apartment. Like, it was just so
- 20:18intense. Like, I knew something was wrong, but I
- 20:21was like, how could something be wrong when I
- 20:22have a sauna? I had a full size sauna in my tiny
- 20:25apartment in Southern California. My poor husband
- 20:29was like, everything is well. Like, I had
- 20:32everything you could possibly imagine that you
- 20:35know, of in the root cause community. And I. So
- 20:38it got to a point where I just was like,
- 20:40something has to change. I. And I made a
- 20:42decision. I remember the day I was looking at my
- 20:44life, like, something has to change. I have to
- 20:47heal. I have to get better. I have to find what
- 20:49I'm missing. And so I prayed, and it was like
- 20:53this divine download that I can't even. I don't
- 20:56even know how. It just was like, Search Energy
- 20:59healing. Christian energy healing on Instagram.
- 21:02It was so clear. It was like. And I never had
- 21:04thought of that. I was like, christian energy.
- 21:06Meredith Oke: Christian energy healing. I love how specific
- 21:09these intuitive hits can be. Beautiful. Okay.
- 21:14Katelyn Simmons: It was crazy. And so I did. And it's still. It
- 21:18still just makes me laugh because it's like, wow.
- 21:19It. It. And it's been there, like, so many. After
- 21:22I, you know, told my parents about it and worked
- 21:26through the certifications and all these things,
- 21:27my mom was like, you know, how many people have
- 21:29told us about this, like, over the years, like,
- 21:32we've been.
- 21:32Meredith Oke: So anyways, told them about Christian energy.
- 21:36Katelyn Simmons: Healing, like, specifically the emotion code and,
- 21:39like, energy work, like, releasing trapped
- 21:42emotions. And, you know, none of us, like, like,
- 21:46what is that? Who cares? So it took, like, really
- 21:49getting to a breaking point and just being
- 21:51desperate and praying and making that decision.
- 21:53I'm gonna change. My life has to shift. And then
- 21:56I came across on Instagram from that search
- 22:00Christian, who did the emotion code. And so I
- 22:04clicked on it and she was fully booked. And so I
- 22:06thought, okay, I'm just gonna look up what is the
- 22:07emotion code. If she thinks it's okay, I better
- 22:09look into it because at this point, I have to
- 22:12have an open mind. And, you know, I. I had
- 22:14already been doing, like, bioresonance in my
- 22:16practice. I had some of the frequency stuff.
- 22:18Like, my lymphatic machine was frequency back
- 22:21when I was 13, that one of the things that really
- 22:24helped me from Lyme so that I could be well
- 22:26enough to go to high school was pulsed
- 22:28electromagnetic field therapy. And we knew about
- 22:31red light. Like, we knew a lot of the frequency
- 22:33stuff, but not to this extent. So anyways, I went
- 22:37to the emotion code website and signed up for the
- 22:41certification that day. I'm going to learn how to
- 22:45do this and teach myself. I love it. And that,
- 22:49that was the start because I started learning,
- 22:52like, Dr. Bradley Nelson puts it into really
- 22:56amazing. Like, just. He breaks it down so good.
- 22:59Like, your energy, you're made of 99.99999%
- 23:03energy. And you have emotions, and your organs
- 23:07create emotions, and if you don't let them go and
- 23:10they get trapped, they're going to block energy,
- 23:12and so you're going to be in pain, and they can
- 23:14affect everything in your life. So then I learned
- 23:17how to muscle test, which I had been wanting to
- 23:20learn muscle testing for so long because there
- 23:22were chiropractors I went to who did it, And I'd
- 23:24always ask them. I was like, how do you learn how
- 23:25to muscle test? I want to know, how do you do
- 23:27this? And they'd all tell me, oh, you have to go
- 23:29to chiropractor school. Like, okay. So that's why
- 23:33I made a muscle testing course.
- 23:34Meredith Oke: I learned it out of the back of the Power vs
- 23:36Force book, but.
- 23:38Katelyn Simmons: I wish I had that one, too. Like, you can learn
- 23:42it on YouTube. Like, it's so. Yeah, it's. It's
- 23:45how our bodies were made, right? We're like.
- 23:46We're drawn to truth, and we're repelled by
- 23:49false, like, lies. So anyways, that was the
- 23:53start, and so I got really obsessed with it. I
- 23:55started using it on all my clients, and that
- 23:59brought up the fear in my clients. And so from
- 24:03right then, as I was starting to explain it to
- 24:07these people in person, I realized I felt like I
- 24:11had this mission. I need to demystify this and
- 24:15help people see. Like, this is not evil. This is
- 24:18how your body was made. Emotions are real. And
- 24:21just talking about your emotions isn't always
- 24:24going to be what works for me. That didn't work.
- 24:27I went to therapy. It felt like it just made
- 24:29things worse. So this was such an incredible
- 24:32tool. And then I started seeing it transform my
- 24:35clients. Right there, we'd feel energy move like
- 24:39wind, and my client would look at me like, did
- 24:41you feel that? Or someone would turn bright red
- 24:43when an emotion left. And it was like, whoa, this
- 24:45is real. This is tangible. Like, this is. This is
- 24:48the next thing. Like, we have to do energy.
- 24:50That's the missing piece. So then I was, like,
- 24:53searching on YouTube and looking for things about
- 24:56the emotion code and came across the AO scan,
- 24:58which, if you're on my page, you know, I talk
- 25:00about that all the time, which is just a
- 25:02frequency. Another frequency tool.
- 25:04Meredith Oke: Okay.
- 25:05Katelyn Simmons: And that. That was the next thing. So between the
- 25:08emotion code and the AO scan, within a couple of
- 25:12months, I closed down my brick and mortar because
- 25:15I realized I need to go virtual. I need to get
- 25:17this word out to the masses. I need to go home
- 25:20and Heal and let my body heal. And it was just
- 25:24like I started having 180 after 180, after 180.
- 25:27And there's been no looking back. It's just been.
- 25:30And then I found you. And then I found the
- 25:33Quantum Biology collective. And I was like, whoa,
- 25:36this is also cool. So I've been geeking out ever
- 25:39since and just cannot get enough. It's just. It's
- 25:42like, it makes it all come together.
- 25:46Meredith Oke: Beautiful. What an incredible journey. Okay, so
- 25:49to walk us through a little bit, I mean, like, to
- 25:51get super specific but high level. The emotion
- 25:55code, how does that work?
- 25:57Katelyn Simmons: So the emotion code is basically just using your
- 26:01own body's subconscious and nervous system via
- 26:04muscle testing. So, like, you can press on your
- 26:06body and you'll hold strong if you get an answer
- 26:09from your nervous system. Yes. Or your body will
- 26:13go weak if it's a no. And so Dr. Bradley Nelson,
- 26:18you can look him up and look, read his book. It's
- 26:21like, I don't know, $15 book. And you can learn
- 26:23how to do it yourself, which I love. I'm like,
- 26:25anything you can give people. Like, that's what
- 26:27the whole quantum biology is. It's like so many
- 26:30free things people can do and totally transform
- 26:33their life so fast. It's like, yeah, everyone
- 26:37needs it anyway. So you identify a trapped
- 26:39emotion. So we could go like, do I have a trapped
- 26:41emotion? Yes. And then you can ask your body
- 26:44questions, where is that trapped emotion? Your
- 26:47liver? And then simply release it with, I guess
- 26:51you could say, similar to acupuncture, you swipe
- 26:54over your governing meridian three times and the
- 26:58emotional energy leaves. Did that kind of wrap up
- 27:02what it is?
- 27:03Meredith Oke: Yes.
- 27:05Katelyn Simmons: And so then he goes deeper into the body code and
- 27:07the belief code. And it's really cool, but it's
- 27:11like a tool I think everyone should know how to
- 27:13do.
- 27:15Meredith Oke: Yes. You know, there are so many, you know, as
- 27:18you were just saying, like, keeping our circadian
- 27:21rhythms regulated, like that is just. Should be
- 27:24sort of a basic thing that everyone understands
- 27:26coming out of the gate.
- 27:27Katelyn Simmons: Right.
- 27:28Meredith Oke: Like, you mostly, if you're at all health
- 27:31focused, you mostly know, like, to eat healthy
- 27:34food and, like, drink clean water. And there,
- 27:37there are so many things that could just be
- 27:40foundational pieces of information that we all
- 27:43have, that we all do ourselves, that we don't
- 27:45have to outsource to other people. We don't have
- 27:47to hire if you have, if you do have us. I'm big
- 27:50on working with practitioners for sure, but
- 27:52there, there are so many things we can do just in
- 27:56Our day to day lives that we're not, you know,
- 27:59that we've been told are really complicated. And
- 28:03I had a really good conversation with Eileen
- 28:05McKusick about that where she does the bio. Like
- 28:08her biofield tuning.
- 28:10Katelyn Simmons: She was one of the ones that, like, once I read
- 28:12her books, I was like, chakras, there's nothing
- 28:15wrong with chakras. It's part of our body.
- 28:17Because that was another big one in the Christian
- 28:18community. I was like, oh, I love her so much.
- 28:21Like, I've read her books so many times because
- 28:24she's so incredible.
- 28:26Meredith Oke: Oh, I love that. Yes. No, exactly. Well, I was
- 28:29just going to say it's like we had this
- 28:32conversation where we've sort of been led to
- 28:34believe that trauma is like really embedded and
- 28:37complex and you can't get rid of it. And
- 28:41unresolved trauma absolutely has cascading
- 28:44effects throughout our lives, but it doesn't have
- 28:48to be unresolved.
- 28:50Katelyn Simmons: Exactly, exactly. And I had been at. I was at
- 28:54that point where I thought, because I had had
- 28:56like a really scary thing happen to me and then
- 28:59got rear ended on the freeway a couple weeks
- 29:01later. And it felt like I was never gonna. It
- 29:04took me years to heal from it because it. And it
- 29:06felt like it was gonna live with me forever. But
- 29:08then as soon as I started releasing trapped
- 29:10emotions and I did biofield tuning eventually
- 29:13too, once I found her, I was like, I bought her
- 29:15tuning forks, I took her self course and like
- 29:19started doing it all. But it was like, oh, the
- 29:23memory is still there, but it's not creating this
- 29:27physical reaction in my body anymore. I can drive
- 29:29my car without shaking and having a panic attack.
- 29:32I can think about what happened and not be
- 29:34paranoid that someone's always chasing me or like
- 29:37there can be things that used to be triggers and
- 29:40it's not creating that physical response. And I
- 29:44think that was a big piece to why, you know,
- 29:47things weren't. Weren't healing. It was like
- 29:49affecting. It affects your cells and it blocks
- 29:51the meridians from flowing and like Eileen talks
- 29:53about, it stays in your biofield, but it's like
- 29:57you can just clear it out and have freedom and
- 30:01it's transformative. Yeah.
- 30:05Meredith Oke: And I feel like still to this day I feel a little
- 30:09bit bad saying that. I feel like, oh, no, like,
- 30:12don't make it sound so simple, Meredith. That's
- 30:14not fair. But like, why not?
- 30:17Katelyn Simmons: I mean, you know, it's a paradigm shift and
- 30:21people, you know, you have to make a choice. I
- 30:23had to make a choice to stop being in victim
- 30:26mode. I think I feel so confident talking about
- 30:28it, because I was there. I felt like, this is so
- 30:31hard. How could anyone say anything to me
- 30:33otherwise? How could you tell me to look at the
- 30:34bright? Bright side? How could you? I remember
- 30:36one of. I went. Used to go get colon
- 30:38hydrotherapy, and I remember she'd tell me, she'd
- 30:40be like, you know, sometimes we attract what we
- 30:43are. Maybe you need. Like, she actually tried
- 30:46saying that to me, and I was like, what? How
- 30:48could you say? Like, I was mad afterwards, So I
- 30:52get it. Like, but now, coming through it and
- 30:54being on the other side, it's like, wow, we do
- 30:57have to shift from victim to being triumphant.
- 31:00Like, I am going to heal. I am going to change. I
- 31:03am going to let this be in the past. Because
- 31:05that's something I saw with my clients, too. I
- 31:07built up my practice. I had all these people who
- 31:09would come to see me for. Well, I went virtual,
- 31:12but we do sessions, and a lot of people, not
- 31:15everybody, but a good chunk of people, there was
- 31:19a disconnect where they weren't really ready to
- 31:21let it go. Like it was part of their identity.
- 31:24And that's another thing I had to learn, too.
- 31:26Lyme is not me. Lyme is just a thing. And I'm
- 31:30gonna move forward from it. Like, so there's that
- 31:33whole piece of. Yeah. Not being victim anymore.
- 31:38Meredith Oke: Absolutely. And it's no small thing.
- 31:41Katelyn Simmons: It is.
- 31:42Meredith Oke: It is in the wider culture, I think, much safer
- 31:47to feel like a victim than to feel like a
- 31:49successful person and show up that way.
- 31:52Katelyn Simmons: And it feels like our society's, like, made to
- 31:56make that thrive. Like, it's. It's almost like
- 31:59we're going against 99% of everybody to show up
- 32:03as successful and healed and different.
- 32:09Meredith Oke: Yes. And there's. There is currency in being
- 32:13traumatized and damaged. And I'm gonna go. I'm
- 32:17just gonna go all the way with it. And I'm
- 32:19speaking of someone who has also healed a lot of
- 32:21things. I haven't got into it on. On this
- 32:23podcast, and I probably won't, but it was a lot.
- 32:26It was a lot of things. And I think that in order
- 32:36to fully let go of that victim mentality, in
- 32:39order to fully let go of, like, oh, well, I have
- 32:41this trauma, so I can't. It's. It's a way to have
- 32:46low standards and low expectations for ourselves
- 32:49and always give ourselves a way out.
- 32:52Katelyn Simmons: Chills, mic drop, like, whoa, that needs to be a
- 32:55quote. You need to put that in a quote and put it
- 32:58on your Instagram. Whoa. Yeah. Yeah. It's. It's
- 33:04huge. That was really profound.
- 33:13Meredith Oke: Yeah. And I say that not just from. That's what I
- 33:17see as a coach and other people. That's what I
- 33:19saw in myself.
- 33:21Katelyn Simmons: Yeah.
- 33:21Meredith Oke: And then it's a continuous journey to move
- 33:24through it. Every time we do something new, we
- 33:27move through a version of it.
- 33:29Katelyn Simmons: Yes. That's what, that's what came to mind was I
- 33:32had to come to another version of it when I got
- 33:34pregnant. And when I read, you know, I went. I'm
- 33:39not going to go into all the birth stuff. That's
- 33:41a whole other topic. But I read Yolanda Norris
- 33:44Clark's book and I almost feel like that's a book
- 33:47that, that everyone should read. Whether you want
- 33:49to be a mom or not, or you've already had kids
- 33:51and you're, you know, she just dives into that,
- 33:55the whole victim mentality too, and she breaks it
- 33:57down. And it helped me. I ended up having a free
- 34:02birth, and that was my choice. And my husband and
- 34:04I did that together. And I know everyone has
- 34:06their opinions on that, but I felt so empowered.
- 34:11And it was like the last. Well, I'm sure there's
- 34:14more to work through, but another big chunk of
- 34:17that victim of the negativity of it just, it
- 34:21helped me shed that. Like, giving birth in that
- 34:24way was so empowering. It was like I gave birth
- 34:27to a new version of myself. And afterward, I
- 34:30remember I just felt like, wow, I'm stepping into
- 34:33my most authentic self now. And that's actually
- 34:36something that really helped in every area of my
- 34:39life. But it is a continual shedding. It's like
- 34:42the onion, you gotta peel back all these layers
- 34:44and it's kind of the never ending onion, but it.
- 34:50Meredith Oke: Yes. And some days you're like, where is the
- 34:52goddamn end of this onion?
- 34:56Katelyn Simmons: Yeah. Yeah. 100%. Yeah.
- 35:02Meredith Oke: Sorry to swear. I just want everyone to know when
- 35:05I swear, I have calibrated the words to resonate
- 35:08at a very high frequency. It's not real swearing.
- 35:22So I, I was reading some of your experience and I
- 35:26wanted to talk about this a little bit more. You
- 35:29mentioned it briefly, but when you were doing in
- 35:32person work with people, you were seeing them in
- 35:34your clinic. You were, you know, putting your
- 35:37hands on them to do them, to do massage therapy.
- 35:40You talked about, like, the energetic effects of
- 35:45that and how you had to learn to shield yourself
- 35:49and ground yourself and protect yourself in that
- 35:52experience. So I know a lot of people who are
- 35:54still. There are a lot of people who are still in
- 35:57the. In person you ultimately chose to go
- 35:59virtual. But while you were still in that space,
- 36:02how did you come to understand how to stay
- 36:07protected while working with other people?
- 36:11Katelyn Simmons: Yeah, I remember one. As I was learning, I talked
- 36:17to a few of my clients about it. I was like, man,
- 36:19sometimes clients come in and I feel like. Like I
- 36:22touch them, and if they're angry, I'm angry, and
- 36:25they leave happy. And if I remember specifically,
- 36:29like, there would be times when someone would
- 36:33come in with something really severe, like cancer
- 36:35or something, where they were just really down in
- 36:39the dumps, low and in pain. And I would almost
- 36:45feel. I would feel the pain in the exact same
- 36:48spot that they were saying. And so I remember
- 36:50just feeling like, what is this? This is so
- 36:52weird. I don't want this. This feels icky, and it
- 36:56just would feel heavy. Can you hear my baby
- 37:00really loud in the back?
- 37:01Meredith Oke: I can hear her very quietly, and.
- 37:03Katelyn Simmons: It'S beautiful, so don't worry about it. It's so
- 37:06weird to be away from her. Anyway, so I was
- 37:09talking to some clients about it, and they were
- 37:11like, well, just envision a white bubble around
- 37:14you. I think, okay, that's cool. And I started
- 37:18trying to do that, and I think it helped a
- 37:20little, but I didn't totally understand, so that
- 37:22was kind of the start. And then I started
- 37:24learning more about grounding, and I started just
- 37:27envisioning myself before I would go in to work
- 37:29with a client. I'd envisioned myself having my
- 37:32energy grounded deep into the earth. And that was
- 37:36something that really helped me a lot. But it was
- 37:38never really enough until that short period when
- 37:42I learned about the emotion code and the AO scan.
- 37:45And I was really seeing how, like, with muscle
- 37:49testing, you can swipe, see if you can see your
- 37:53governing meridian three times, the sweat, you
- 37:55know, and clear energy off of you. And so now I
- 37:59still do that to this day. If I walk past someone
- 38:01and I feel something, I'm just like, get off of
- 38:04me. And that really started helping. And then the
- 38:09AO scan, there's frequencies you can run for
- 38:11energetic clear and energetic shield. And those
- 38:14made such a difference. It was, you know, those
- 38:17last few months or couple months in my practice,
- 38:20I started doing that every day, and it was just a
- 38:23game changer. So.
- 38:25Meredith Oke: So tell me a little more about the AO scan. I
- 38:27don't know what that is.
- 38:28Katelyn Simmons: Oh, okay. So the AO scan is a subscription that
- 38:32you can have on your phone. You can log into it
- 38:34from basically any device like, that connects to
- 38:37the Internet, and it will transform your computer
- 38:43or your phone into A frequency generator. So
- 38:46you're familiar with bioresonance, Right. Where
- 38:48you can get a scan. Like, I used to have a really
- 38:51expensive one. You put your hand on it and it
- 38:53would scan your whole body. And I'd have to be
- 38:55with clients for like an hour and a half and to
- 38:58see everything that's out of balance in your body
- 39:00energetically. So it's not lab work. It's not.
- 39:04It's like taking a picture in time, like a
- 39:07snapshot in time to see where your body's
- 39:09resonating at. So this goes from, you know, all
- 39:13of your bones to your nerves, your mitochondria,
- 39:16which I started geeking out about that once I was
- 39:19in the course, the quantum course, because it was
- 39:22like, whoa. Like, I can optimize my mitochondria
- 39:24every day. So this is a little different from a
- 39:27lot of bioresonance on the market, because you
- 39:29can then optimize everything it scanned for that
- 39:32was out of balance. So it's like, I don't pay
- 39:36attention a whole lot to the reports. I just love
- 39:39to put my body back into homeostasis every day.
- 39:42And then on top of that, there's custom sound
- 39:45therapy. So, like voice analysis. You can record
- 39:48your voice and create sound therapy tailored to
- 39:51exactly what emotions you need to release and
- 39:55bring balance to which that was a huge piece.
- 39:58That was like emotion code with. That was. I
- 40:01mean, I felt like that's why I was clearing so
- 40:03much so fast, because it was like, whoa, I'm. I'm
- 40:06getting to the root of the emotions. And it's so
- 40:10cool because it shows the physical connections
- 40:13and the energetic connections to those emotions
- 40:15that it found out of balance within your voice.
- 40:18You know how people are so telling. Like you can
- 40:20hear them talk and they're happy, or you can hear
- 40:23them talk and you get depressed. You're like,
- 40:24whoa. Like, I feel that this technology actually
- 40:29picks up. It scans over 10,000 frequencies within
- 40:32your voice to like, spit out these frequencies
- 40:35for you every single day or however much you want
- 40:37to do. So then there's the whole. You know,
- 40:40there's so much. That's why I talk about it so
- 40:42much on my page. And I have like hour long
- 40:44YouTube videos on it. And, like, it's so in
- 40:47depth. It's. It used to be a $38,000 practitioner
- 40:50system. Like doctors and clinics have it.
- 40:54Meredith Oke: Yeah.
- 40:54Katelyn Simmons: But then I believe it was in 2021, Lauren
- 40:57Swenson, who developed all of this, he had the
- 41:00vision, and they had the vision to bring that
- 41:02sound therapy part to everybody. Because, you
- 41:05know, everyone was struggling in 2020.
- 41:07Meredith Oke: Yeah.
- 41:08Katelyn Simmons: And then they made it so now anyone can have
- 41:11access to it. So there's so much more cool
- 41:13subconscious reprogramming. There's a lot, but
- 41:17that's what the EOS scan is.
- 41:19Meredith Oke: That's really fun.
- 41:21Katelyn Simmons: It is fun.
- 41:22Meredith Oke: So that, yes, helped with your ability to stay
- 41:26within your own energy and not take. Take on
- 41:29whatever your clients were bringing in that day.
- 41:32Katelyn Simmons: And I think shedding those layers of emotions
- 41:34too, like just working on yourself, releasing
- 41:38trapped emotions gives you the space where you're
- 41:41actually, like, resilient. You're not, because,
- 41:43you know, everything acts like a magnet. So if
- 41:46you have, I don't know, 20 on the low side, 20
- 41:50trapped emotions of fear, those are always going
- 41:53to be attracting more emotions of fear or things
- 41:56that vibrate at that same level. So if you have
- 41:59all these trapped emotions of unworthiness,
- 42:02sadness, depression, anxiety, like I had all of
- 42:05these just bombarding me. And I remember working
- 42:08through, I felt like I was like releasing
- 42:09thousands of trapped emotions. It attracts more
- 42:14of that into your life because you're. That's
- 42:16where you're vibrating at. So as you raise your
- 42:17frequency and you heal and just, you know, like,
- 42:20we see people release parasites, right, when they
- 42:22just. They just start doing the circadian stuff.
- 42:24Like, just raising your frequency helps you shed
- 42:29the negativity and the sickness and the disease
- 42:31and the bad stuff, and you start to attract
- 42:34different. And you. The stuff doesn't stick to
- 42:36you.
- 42:38Meredith Oke: It's so cool. It's also amazing. And it's, you
- 42:42know, back to what we were saying earlier, right?
- 42:44Like, if we had just some baseline understanding
- 42:47of this, we could be clearing that stuff out as
- 42:51we go. You know, it's like being like, oh, you
- 42:55know, instead of like vacuuming once a year, it's
- 42:58like, oh, I'm supposed to vacuum once a week.
- 43:00Okay. Right. Like, you know, we, we allow these
- 43:03things to build up because we can't see them. And
- 43:07we, we've been left ignorant of. Of how to just
- 43:11do maintenance that way. But it's. When I got
- 43:14pregnant, it's not that complicated.
- 43:16Katelyn Simmons: It's really not. But when I got pregnant, I was
- 43:19like, I'm gonna start releasing all the inherited
- 43:22trapped emotions this way. Because when you
- 43:24release the inherited stuff, it releases in your
- 43:27kids too, and your whole generational line and
- 43:30started releasing them from my baby. I'm like,
- 43:32once a week I just check, and there's really
- 43:34nothing there. But it's just. It feels so cool to
- 43:37be able to Set up a little human from the
- 43:41beginning without coming in with all this baggage.
- 43:46Meredith Oke: That's really beautiful. That's so beautiful. I
- 43:50love that. So you brought up mitochondria. Talk
- 43:55to me about, you know, like, let's sort of bring
- 43:58it together with just daily habits and the
- 44:03lights, you know, the light and dark cycles and
- 44:05all of the circadian stuff. How have. How has it
- 44:08all sort of come together for you? Because you
- 44:10did. You did the deep dive. You studied, you got
- 44:13certified, so you went all the way.
- 44:18Katelyn Simmons: Yeah. So that was. That's. I think, what really
- 44:21helped get my hormones. It just, like, tied it
- 44:25all together. It was like, okay, these are the
- 44:27things that are so foundational. It's like. It
- 44:31brings you to the terrain theory. Like, if the
- 44:33terrain is good and our hormones are, you know,
- 44:36producing at the right times of the day, it just
- 44:41all makes it, like. It's just cohesive. Your body
- 44:43can now work. So. Learning about sun. The sun was
- 44:47my favorite because, you know, Heather's program
- 44:50on the sun. It was so. Because I've always loved
- 44:54the sun. I've wanted to go bake in the sun for
- 44:56hours on end, and I've, like, wanted to be out in
- 44:58the morning. Like, it's just something I think
- 45:00we're all born with intuitively. But then society
- 45:05comes in and just kind of crushes it. Like,
- 45:08you're. You get almost tuned into everything else
- 45:12feeling good. Like, it feels good to sleep in and
- 45:15feels good to look at your phone until it
- 45:17doesn't. Until it, like, actually is wreaking
- 45:19havoc on your health. So learning. I think the
- 45:23first day I listened to that about sunrise, I
- 45:26started going outside every morning, and it made
- 45:28such a difference. It was like, whoa, I can feel
- 45:31a difference. And I just craved to be outside
- 45:34even more. And that was probably the biggest game
- 45:38changer for me, was because I Learning about how
- 45:42just that sunrise light, whether it's cloudy or
- 45:45not or whatever the weather is, like, it sets you
- 45:49up for the rest of the day where you're not
- 45:50gonna. You know, you precondition your skin. You
- 45:52build that solar callus. You set up cord, like,
- 45:55cortisol. Like, I love talking about cortisol
- 45:57because it's. We have these free tools you can
- 45:59use to balance things. So I just started, like,
- 46:03being out. I remember cold mornings. I'd bundle
- 46:05up and sit outside with my coffee for, like,
- 46:07three hours. Like, I'm gonna heal. I'm gonna heal
- 46:10with sunlight even more. And that's just carried
- 46:14through, like, the first couple days after my
- 46:18baby was born, I would bring her outside, like,
- 46:20every day. Like, we're getting sunlight, we're
- 46:22getting. I still bring her out at sunrise. We go
- 46:24out, like, every couple hours to get all the
- 46:26white codes. And the only thing that's been hard
- 46:29with a baby is wearing my blue light blockers.
- 46:32That's been tough because she just wants them.
- 46:35Meredith Oke: She just pulls them off your face. Yeah, that's
- 46:38true.
- 46:38Katelyn Simmons: Yeah. I still wear them at night, but when she's
- 46:42asleep. Yeah, yeah. It's just. It's. It's. It's
- 46:48life. And once you build the habit, it's a part
- 46:50of your life. Like, it just. It's a part of your
- 46:53life now. Like, you can't go any other way. And
- 46:56grounding, like, every morning we go ground. It's
- 46:59just turned into such a nice routine. And I think
- 47:01that's actually really helpful for moms with
- 47:03young kids is if you have this routine where you
- 47:05get the sun, you ground, you go outside multiple
- 47:07times, no matter what the weather is, or you
- 47:10crack a window. Like, it really. I mean, maybe
- 47:14it's just my baby's temperament, but she is so
- 47:16happy all the time. And I can tell if we need
- 47:20more sun or need to get outside or need to ground
- 47:23if she starts to not be a little happy. And then
- 47:25it's like, instant. We get in the grass, we get
- 47:28in the sun, we go to the beach. Instantly, she's
- 47:31just perfect again.
- 47:35Meredith Oke: Wow, that's really interesting, because I know,
- 47:38you know, for a lot of parents, it's like, oh,
- 47:40I'll turn the TV on, or I'll give them a show.
- 47:43Oh, they're a bit grumpy. Like, I'll just give
- 47:45them a show to watch or.
- 47:46Katelyn Simmons: I think that makes sense.
- 47:47Meredith Oke: I definitely did that back in the day. But, yeah.
- 47:51Oh, going outside a couple shows.
- 47:54Katelyn Simmons: But the windows always open and the doors open in
- 47:57short amounts of time. But I can see. I can see
- 48:00that change her, too. So it's. I've almost, you
- 48:03know, I go back and forth, like, should we watch
- 48:05a little bit of something so I can drink my
- 48:07coffee or. No, it's always better when we just go
- 48:10outside. Yeah, but no judgment. It's there. It's
- 48:14just. You can do these little things, like open
- 48:17the window if it's on, or, you know, I want to
- 48:20get a projector at some point, because that'll be
- 48:22a little better, but.
- 48:23Meredith Oke: Oh, that's a fun idea. Yes. And truly, no
- 48:28judgment. My children all have screens, and, you
- 48:31know, we live. We don't homeschool. We live in
- 48:34the. In the prescribed prescription world of, you
- 48:40know, normal society. And, you know, that's just
- 48:44how we've chosen to do it.
- 48:46Katelyn Simmons: And, yeah, it just shows how powerful it still
- 48:50is, though. Like, you don't have to live some
- 48:52hippie woo woo life for this to change your life.
- 48:55And you don't have to, like, change your whole
- 48:57identity and be a totally different. Like, that's
- 49:00just who I am. I love being outside and I want to
- 49:02homeschool. That's just me because I was
- 49:04homeschooled when I was little. But no, not
- 49:07everyone has to do that. It's so, like, just work
- 49:10it into your schedule. Like, I loved when Carrie
- 49:13would talk about just cracking the windows on her
- 49:14way to school drop off or opening the sunroof
- 49:17and, you know, popping on your blue light
- 49:19blockers or wearing wired headsets instead of
- 49:21Bluetooth and just all the simple little things
- 49:24you can shift.
- 49:27Meredith Oke: Yes. And when, you know, I think that's an
- 49:31important message I always like to bring up is
- 49:33every little thing matters. You know, going
- 49:35outside in the morning for even five minutes,
- 49:38even two minutes before other light hits your
- 49:40eyes or, you know, not turning on those big
- 49:44overhead lights after sunset. Like, just little
- 49:47things. And one thing I hear a lot is people are
- 49:50like, oh, I listen to your podcast, but I'm just
- 49:52so overwhelmed at the thought of changing every
- 49:54light bulb in my house. I don't think. I don't
- 49:56think I can do this circadian thing. And I'm
- 49:57like, oh, my gosh, if I left you with that
- 50:00impression, the. My bad. Just don't turn them on.
- 50:04It's very simple. You don't have to change
- 50:05everything. Just have some lamps with
- 50:08incandescent bulbs and don't turn on the big
- 50:10lights. You don't have to because, you know,
- 50:12we're all. We all have ceilings filled with those
- 50:15LEDs that.
- 50:16Katelyn Simmons: And a lot of us have husbands who think it's
- 50:18really annoying for it to be dark. It's a fight
- 50:23over here. So, you know, it's. It is what it. Not
- 50:27all of our bulbs are changed. I've slowly changed
- 50:29them. And he's like, why are these so dim? Did I
- 50:33get any brighter? So it's. Just do what you can
- 50:37and it's gonna help no matter what. Like, it's
- 50:42not perfection. And that's like, it goes for
- 50:44everything with health. It's not perfection. And
- 50:46everything in your life, you cannot show up
- 50:48perfect for anything. And if you try, you're just
- 50:52gonna be depressed.
- 50:55Meredith Oke: Right. It's another one of those traps that we
- 50:58set for ourselves. Right. We're like, I am going
- 51:02to play an unwinnable game, and I'm not allowed
- 51:06to feel successful or happy until this unwinnable
- 51:09game is won. But it's unwinnable.
- 51:13Katelyn Simmons: And that's like. I don't know if you want to talk
- 51:16about abundance at all, but, like, that's one of
- 51:18the huge blocks to abundance. Like, we get so
- 51:21caught up in what's next and what. What can I do
- 51:23to, you know, if you're on social media, like, do
- 51:26more posts and, like, all this perfection instead
- 51:29of just enjoying where you're at now, doing what
- 51:31you can now, knowing that it's good enough and
- 51:34just, you know, everyone struggles with that. I
- 51:36still struggle with that, but it's. It's so much
- 51:39more enjoyable to go through life. And I think it
- 51:42frees up your healing when you don't try to
- 51:46control. Because it's like human nature is to
- 51:47control everything and grip onto everything
- 51:50really tightly. But as soon as you surrender,
- 51:53it's like, the river can flow, everything can
- 51:57work. And then, you know, I feel like the bad
- 52:01stuff doesn't affect you as much.
- 52:03Meredith Oke: Yes. And I find too, when you get in that flow,
- 52:07then ideas come and we feel called to do things
- 52:12that will require us to push ourselves a little
- 52:15bit.
- 52:15Katelyn Simmons: Yes.
- 52:16Meredith Oke: But it's coming from this place of abundance, not
- 52:19a place of, like, I have to do this.
- 52:21Katelyn Simmons: Yes. And it's fulfilling and it's like your
- 52:24passion. And it's like, it's so different. It's
- 52:27so different. Like, it's. It is hard work to do
- 52:30any of, you know, to change your life in any way.
- 52:32It's hard work, but it's harder to stay where
- 52:34you're at. In my opinion. It would have been a
- 52:37lot harder if I would have just stayed where I
- 52:38was at. I'd be. Yeah, it was hard work to get
- 52:42where I am now, but so worth it. And not as hard.
- 52:46Yeah, yeah.
- 52:48Meredith Oke: Not as painful.
- 52:51Katelyn Simmons: And so rewarding.
- 52:55Meredith Oke: Yeah, it's amazing. Life is really cool. And I
- 53:00love, you know. Yeah, I love this chat, like, and
- 53:03coming into the mitochondria, you know, and the
- 53:08idea of, like, clearing our emotions, clearing
- 53:12toxic light. Right. Like these. These are all the
- 53:14frequencies and these, these little.
- 53:18Katelyn Simmons: These, these.
- 53:19Meredith Oke: I don't even know. I saw Martin Picard, who does
- 53:24a lot of really interesting mitochondrial
- 53:27research and bioenergetics, and he was. He did a
- 53:31post recently. He's like, we gotta stop with the
- 53:34powerhouse of the cell. It's been 60 years. It's
- 53:37not accurate. And I thought, okay, so what are
- 53:41we? What's the new catchphrase? And so now I call
- 53:45on everyone if we're. If we're gonna upgrade from
- 53:48powerhouse of the cell, like what should we call
- 53:50it? Because it encompasses everything. Right. As
- 53:54you were saying. Right. Like strengthening our
- 53:57mitochondria from physical practices like
- 53:59grounding and reducing toxic light.
- 54:02Katelyn Simmons: Oh.
- 54:02Meredith Oke: Gives us energy for emotional healing which may
- 54:07come. Which may come next. And that. That idea of
- 54:10the nonlinear healing and people. You know, I've
- 54:12had people reach out to me lately who said they
- 54:15started with the circadian stuff and like their
- 54:17sleep is worse and they're like, yeah. And it
- 54:22turned out I had all this emotional work to do.
- 54:24So it's just so interesting how our bodies.
- 54:28Katelyn Simmons: Yeah, the whole layer thing. A layer cake. Yeah.
- 54:30It's just I feel like too. People need to
- 54:34remember as you heal, this is like a lifelong
- 54:37journey. It's not a three week cleanse. It's not
- 54:40a three month cleanse. This is lifelong. And we
- 54:44weren't. It's not just our lifetime. We have to
- 54:46look at everything that affected ourselves and
- 54:49our mitochondria and our muscles and everything.
- 54:51Our fascia, like the fascia is so complex. It's
- 54:56like generational. It's multi. Generational
- 55:00things that have affected us. And so we're
- 55:02peeling back these layers. And sometimes when
- 55:04your body gets that energy to actually be able to
- 55:08address what's been underlying or hiding deep in
- 55:11your tissues or in your organs, it's gonna be a
- 55:14little painful and be a little frustrating
- 55:16because now your body's like, oh, hey, I can
- 55:19target this. I can clear this out. I can. You can
- 55:23feel this emotion now, and it's just. It's just a
- 55:27part of it.
- 55:29Meredith Oke: Yeah. And I love what you just said. You can feel
- 55:32this emotion now. Because I think so much of our
- 55:35energy goes towards making sure we don't have to
- 55:38feel certain things. And I've been really digging
- 55:41in lately. I've been putting myself out there and
- 55:43pushing myself to do things. And I'm like, oh,
- 55:45but it's gonna make me feel. And I'm like, yep.
- 55:48And it did. And you know what? It passes. It just
- 55:52flows through. I think if I'm not trying to block
- 55:56it or six seconds.
- 55:58Katelyn Simmons: Yeah. For an emotion to pass. Yeah. But it can.
- 56:01You know, but then it can trigger. You know, the
- 56:03cool thing about trapped emotions is they talk
- 56:05about how they're really energetically the size
- 56:07of your fist, but when they get triggered, they
- 56:11can blow up to the size of a balloon or a beach
- 56:14ball energetically. And then that can kind of
- 56:17create this trigger effect through your whole
- 56:19body, triggering the rest of them. And so it can
- 56:22feel so overwhelming when you first start, but it
- 56:25does get easier and easier and easier the more
- 56:28you let yourself feel, because then you can
- 56:31actually feel in the moment when something's
- 56:34happening too. Because that's actually how
- 56:36emotions get trapped. We stuff it down and we
- 56:39don't feel it, and we, like, we want to avoid it.
- 56:43And that creates this cycle of just stuffing it
- 56:45down, stuffing and stuffing, and, you know.
- 56:48Meredith Oke: Yeah.
- 56:49Katelyn Simmons: Creates this whole problem.
- 56:52Meredith Oke: And then the problems begin or continue or get
- 56:56worse or whatever. Oh, my goodness, Caitlin, it's
- 57:00been so delightful to talk to you. I'm so glad we
- 57:03got to meet and have this conversation before I.
- 57:08You share sort of how people can find you. Is
- 57:11there anything that else that you'd like to say
- 57:13before we wrap up?
- 57:16Katelyn Simmons: I don't know. I just. It's just all so good. I
- 57:19feel like we could talk for hours. Like, there's
- 57:21just so many different rabbit holes you can go
- 57:23down and just. It's all so good. And quantum
- 57:28biology is just. It's life changing. And I didn't
- 57:30think that the emotional side of it really fit in
- 57:33to the quantum biology. You know, back when it
- 57:35was the two part course and then the second part
- 57:39came in and Carrie was talking about Eileen, I
- 57:42was like, oh, they know about Eileen McKusick. I
- 57:45was so excited. Like, it was like, this does fit
- 57:47in. It's all together. So I was like, am I
- 57:49talking about the same stuff? Does this fit in
- 57:52together? And then that kind of led me to looking
- 57:55for trapped emotions specifically affecting the
- 57:57mitochondria in my clients. And, like, looking at
- 58:00it from this whole new lens of, like, how are
- 58:03emotions affecting the circadian side of it, the
- 58:07quantum side of it? And it just kind of turned
- 58:10into this whole new, like, it is connected and
- 58:12it's all important and we need to focus on all of
- 58:15it.
- 58:17Meredith Oke: Yeah. Oh, I love that. Yeah, for sure. No, it is
- 58:20because it's. I mean, we. I think light's a great
- 58:23way in because it's so misunderstood and ignored.
- 58:26And it's just such an easy fix once you
- 58:29understand the basics of it. But at the end of
- 58:31the day, light is. Is frequency. Emotions are
- 58:34frequency. It's all frequency. And it's trapped
- 58:36in the. In the structured water in our bodies,
- 58:39and it's doing all the things. And there's sound
- 58:43and light and the motion code and all of it works
- 58:47with the energy of our body as you so beautifully
- 58:50laid out.
- 58:51Katelyn Simmons: Yeah, yeah. And so many ways to address all of
- 58:54that, too. Like, there's, you know, emotion
- 58:55code's not the only way. There's breath, there's
- 58:58sound bowls, there's somatic work. There's, like,
- 59:00so many different avenues people can go down to
- 59:04just start healing. And all of it's raising our
- 59:05vibration and raising our frequency. So it's all
- 59:10connected.
- 59:12Meredith Oke: Yeah, I love it. And so where can people find
- 59:16you, Katelyn?
- 59:17Katelyn Simmons: The best place is probably my Instagram.
- 59:20Aitlinsimmonsofficial, and that's where I'm most
- 59:23active, like, in my DMs. I am on my Facebook, but
- 59:27everything from Instagram just gets uploaded to
- 59:29Facebook, so I'm not super active over there. My
- 59:32YouTube's really not consistent yet, but I'm
- 59:35planning to do more YouTube, so probably
- 59:39Instagram.
- 59:41Meredith Oke: Okay, great. So that's at Caitlin Simmons,
- 59:44official on Instagram. And Kaitlyn is spelled K,
- 59:47A, T, E, L, Y, N Simmons. S, I, M. Thank you so
- 59:55much. This was delightful, and we'll have to do
- 59:57it again. Thank you, Meredith, and
- 59:59congratulations on one full year of being a mama.
- 1:00:03Katelyn Simmons: Thank you. It's been the best.
