SINCERE SERVICE
The theme for our meditation today is: Sincere Service. Saint Lawrence, when he was a Deacon in Rome and worked with Pope Sixtus II in the 3rd century, gives us a model of sincere service. His main task was to accompany, guide and care for the sick, disabled and abandoned. After Pope Sixtus II was martyred, Lawrence was accused by the civil authorities of hiding Church property.
