- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice for sure. It's time ten lower, lower, lower, lower,
- 0:15Speaker 1: and lower low. Welcome to the naughty but nic shower.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I'm your hair strum shooter, and it's Thursday, which means
- 0:20Speaker 1: our dear friend, the freshly showered. May I add he
- 0:23Speaker 1: looks very nice today. Michael Lula joins us, Hey, lupa.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Are you there here right?
- 0:29Speaker 1: You know I'm right, you know I'm right.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I feel like good today. I'm feeling good today.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I love an observation fresh skin. I feel sometimes like
- 0:37Speaker 1: I am Sherlock Holmes. I can look around room and
- 0:41Speaker 1: I can tell exactly what's going on. You've just got
- 0:42Speaker 1: out the shower. I would guess about twenty minutes ago.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Your moisturized, your hair is still a little wet, but
- 0:47Speaker 1: your skin looks fresh.
- 0:49Speaker 2: You're all, I mean, everything is accurate. You just said
- 0:51Speaker 2: it's correct.
- 0:53Speaker 1: There you go. Let's jump into the shower. Before we
- 0:54Speaker 1: jump into the show, a big thank you. Something extraordinary
- 0:58Speaker 1: happened yesterday. My novel, which does not come out till April,
- 1:02Speaker 1: you can pre order it now. It started with a whisper.
- 1:04Speaker 1: It hit the top one hundred on Amazon, which is
- 1:08Speaker 1: really unheard for a first time novelist. I do not
- 1:11Speaker 1: have any business being that high up the charts, and
- 1:14Speaker 1: so thank you, thank you, thank you. The only reason
- 1:17Speaker 1: it did that is it's nothing to do with me. Now,
- 1:20Speaker 1: once you finish a book, you're done. There's nothing else
- 1:23Speaker 1: I can do. Now it's up to you. Now, it's
- 1:25Speaker 1: up to the noughties. Now, it's up to my friends. Now,
- 1:29Speaker 1: it's up to people out there that maybe I haven't
- 1:31Speaker 1: even met. I am so grateful. I did not grow
- 1:36Speaker 1: up in a family, in a life where this was guaranteed.
- 1:39Speaker 1: In fact, the opposite, This would never have happened. This
- 1:43Speaker 1: should not be happening. A poor kid from Birmingham, England
- 1:47Speaker 1: having a novel is extraordinary. Having a novel that people
- 1:52Speaker 1: are actually buying. Oh my goodness, it needly brought me
- 1:55Speaker 1: to tears. So thank you, thank you, thank you. If
- 1:58Speaker 1: you have pre ordered it, really am grateful, and if
- 2:01Speaker 1: you haven't Amazon dot com, it's started with a whisper.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I think today we even went up a little higher.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I look this morning, I know we did you know.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I'm looking at the chots every two we're ninety one,
- 2:12Speaker 1: number ninety one.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, so browny Grubby works so hard and
- 2:17Speaker 2: deserve all the success.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you, thank you. It's you, notught ease,
- 2:21Speaker 1: and I'm so proud of you. Okay, let's jump into
- 2:23Speaker 1: the show. What time is it, my friends? It is
- 2:26Speaker 1: Tea hart Time, Tea Time. Even I got confused because
- 2:29Speaker 1: I don't really want to do this story. You know,
- 2:30Speaker 1: like when you don't want to do something and you
- 2:33Speaker 1: accidentally fall over your words. It's like a Freudian slip.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I think that just happened. I don't want to do
- 2:38Speaker 1: this story, but we have to. Savannah Guthrie has released
- 2:41Speaker 1: a video with her brother and her sister. They're sitting
- 2:44Speaker 1: on the couch. It is not the Savannah from the
- 2:46Speaker 1: Today Show. This is not hair and makeup and bright collars.
- 2:49Speaker 1: This is a black sweater and jeans and her sister
- 2:52Speaker 1: and her brother. It's badly little. That's not true. It's
- 2:55Speaker 1: normally little. If you and me taped the video and
- 2:58Speaker 1: we didn't have the access of NBA News or a
- 3:00Speaker 1: TV network, this is what videos look like on cell phones.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I think this is so heartbreaking but so smart. Savannah
- 3:08Speaker 1: looks into that camera and talks directly to her mother.
- 3:12Speaker 1: She reminds her mother that they love her that everybody
- 3:15Speaker 1: is looking for her, and then she speaks to the
- 3:18Speaker 1: potential kidnapper directly and says, we want her home and
- 3:24Speaker 1: we need we need proof of life, we need to
- 3:28Speaker 1: know that she is alive. And it was so carefully worded.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I've watched it three or four times. It is so
- 3:35Speaker 1: carefully worded. You can tell the police have helped with this.
- 3:38Speaker 1: They keep saying mama, mother, mommy, just to really pull
- 3:43Speaker 1: at the heartstrings of those who may have taken her.
- 3:46Speaker 1: They remind us who she is, a woman of faith,
- 3:49Speaker 1: a good, decent woman. They remind us that she's got
- 3:52Speaker 1: health problems, so she needs to be found really quickly.
- 3:55Speaker 1: And then they say, which I think is so clever, Mark,
- 3:58Speaker 1: We're ready to listen, were ready to talk. They are
- 4:02Speaker 1: making it clear to whatever monster out there has taken
- 4:07Speaker 1: Savannah's mommy, and that's where it looks like it's going.
- 4:09Speaker 1: They're ready to negotiate, They're ready to talk. They want
- 4:14Speaker 1: this woman, this mother, this precious piece of their family back,
- 4:19Speaker 1: heartbreaking market absolutely suddenly, and we're gonna watch this video
- 4:23Speaker 1: now forever. This is part now of Savannah's life story,
- 4:27Speaker 1: a part she didn't want, but it's there it is.
- 4:31Speaker 2: And you know, it's it's always a thing when the
- 4:33Speaker 2: person who delivers the news becomes the news, right and
- 4:36Speaker 2: that's never the goal. But here she is, and I
- 4:39Speaker 2: think in a way it really humanizes her because we
- 4:41Speaker 2: only know her as the person behind the desk, this
- 4:43Speaker 2: polished person, and now we see her as someone in
- 4:47Speaker 2: great distress, someone who is you know her life and
- 4:50Speaker 2: you know her mother. Her mother's life depends on what
- 4:53Speaker 2: happens next, and so it really does break my heart.
- 4:56Speaker 2: It feels truly like a platform a movie. It feels
- 4:59Speaker 2: like watching a scene from a movie and hearing her
- 5:02Speaker 2: say the grandkids give her kisses, and you know how
- 5:05Speaker 2: important she is to the family's dynamic. It really does.
- 5:08Speaker 2: It breaks my heart too.
- 5:10Speaker 1: It's just extramely. If you haven't watched it, take a
- 5:13Speaker 1: moment today. It really really really touched me. It made
- 5:18Speaker 1: me quite weepy thinking about it. And it's just not
- 5:21Speaker 1: the Savannah that we think we know. This is the
- 5:24Speaker 1: real Savannah. I've been lucky enough to meet Savannah many
- 5:27Speaker 1: many times. I've been on her show. My last book,
- 5:29Speaker 1: she had me on the Today Show and interviewed me
- 5:31Speaker 1: for the book. It sold great. Thanks to Savannah's generosity.
- 5:35Speaker 1: But I've also met her out of the show. I've
- 5:37Speaker 1: met her in jeans and t shirts. I've met her
- 5:40Speaker 1: without makeup. I've met her with the hair pulled back.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I am so sad she's had to do this, But
- 5:46Speaker 1: I think that this video is going to make a difference.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I gotta believe it. Mark, It is so clever. I
- 5:54Speaker 1: know they're not trying to be clever, but they are
- 5:56Speaker 1: because they want their mommy back, and so this is
- 6:00Speaker 1: carefully thought out. They could have taped this in an
- 6:03Speaker 1: NBC studio in Tucson. They could have They could have
- 6:06Speaker 1: had a truck pull up with lights. They could have
- 6:09Speaker 1: flown in hair and makeup for the whole family. No,
- 6:13Speaker 1: do this as Savannah the person, not Savannah the t
- 6:18Speaker 1: the star. Just heartbreaking. We are not going to have
- 6:21Speaker 1: a poll today. We don't do poles when stories are
- 6:25Speaker 1: this serious. Are this upsetting, But Savannah, we are sending
- 6:28Speaker 1: you our love. Okay, moving a long Mark. We have
- 6:33Speaker 1: some explosive new claims that tie Jeffrey Epstein to Prince Andrew,
- 6:38Speaker 1: even more so than what we thought we knew.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I'm disgusted. So the story is getting darker newly released
- 6:47Speaker 2: documents to tell the shock and claims by an exotic
- 6:50Speaker 2: dancer who alleged she was pressured into sex acts with
- 6:53Speaker 2: Andrew and after being lured to Epstein's Palm Beach mansion
- 6:57Speaker 2: in two thousand and six. The woman in leader saw
- 7:00Speaker 2: two hundred and fifty thousand dollars in hush money, saying
- 7:02Speaker 2: she was humiliated, underpaid, and coarsd. Now, the former royal
- 7:07Speaker 2: has long denied wrongdoing, but pressure is mounting as authorities
- 7:11Speaker 2: review fresh allegations tied to Epstein's alleged trafficking network. And
- 7:15Speaker 2: these are claims, not convictions, but the paper trail is
- 7:18Speaker 2: getting harder to ignore. What do you think?
- 7:21Speaker 1: Disgusting? Absolutely disgusting. All our fears are coming true. I'm
- 7:25Speaker 1: glad all this evidence is at There are millions and
- 7:28Speaker 1: millions of pages. It was almost dumped all at once,
- 7:31Speaker 1: so we can't just get our hands at heads around it.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I think it's going to take years to really get
- 7:36Speaker 1: into these files and look through them with fine milutia.
- 7:39Speaker 1: But every one of our worst thoughts is coming true.
- 7:44Speaker 1: It is worse than we thought. There are emails with
- 7:48Speaker 1: him and Sarah Ferguson. There are emails with him and
- 7:51Speaker 1: Bill Gates. I think too. Elon Musk is involved. Now
- 7:55Speaker 1: Naomi Campbell's name is involved. Now you're gonna hear a
- 7:57Speaker 1: lot of names involved, including Johns from the Daily Show,
- 8:01Speaker 1: who had a casual meeting with him. Jeffrey Epstein was
- 8:04Speaker 1: somebody who liked success, and because he was so rich
- 8:06Speaker 1: and powerful, if he saw you on TV and wanted
- 8:09Speaker 1: to go for dinner with you, he could make that call,
- 8:11Speaker 1: he could do that email, and often people might go
- 8:14Speaker 1: and meet him. Thankfully, a lot of people were repulsed
- 8:17Speaker 1: by him. Not enough, not enough people ran away. I
- 8:21Speaker 1: met him once. I used to work for Naomi Campbell
- 8:23Speaker 1: and I met him at one of her charity events,
- 8:25Speaker 1: and I think I met him backstage at Victoria's Secrets.
- 8:28Speaker 1: He was a creepy guy, a handsome guy. He was
- 8:31Speaker 1: a good looking man who was very, very wealthy. But
- 8:34Speaker 1: a creepy, creepy, creepy guy. But these emails, these emails, now,
- 8:40Speaker 1: you really get to see someone's soul, don't you. When
- 8:42Speaker 1: you go through their inbox, when you see their exchanges,
- 8:46Speaker 1: when you see the back and forth him and Sarah Ferguson,
- 8:50Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, they were like best friends. They were
- 8:53Speaker 1: not just casual, casual pals. You can tell it in
- 8:57Speaker 1: the emails. This is so much deeper. It is so
- 9:01Speaker 1: so so interwined with New York and power and money
- 9:05Speaker 1: and elites and really really abuse at the at the
- 9:10Speaker 1: most disgusting level. It grosses me out. I fear though,
- 9:14Speaker 1: get it out. There's nothing like the sunlight. Marcus Anti septic.
- 9:18Speaker 1: We've got to get it out. We've got to. We
- 9:21Speaker 1: can't cover this up any anymore. Melinda Gates yesterday was
- 9:25Speaker 1: nicest of the day because she she was saying that
- 9:28Speaker 1: her husband needs to talk about this. Her husband needs
- 9:31Speaker 1: to answer questions. I don't care who you are, the
- 9:34Speaker 1: President of the United States or anybody else. He got
- 9:37Speaker 1: some explaining to do. Now's the time to explain. Okay,
- 9:41Speaker 1: moving along, let's try and lift the moves a little bit. Margo,
- 9:44Speaker 1: Robbie and Jacob A lord I think I'm pronouncing that right.
- 9:48Speaker 1: A Lordie, What a great name. And not having an affair,
- 9:51Speaker 1: it's just a pr love bomb. Oh they're so naughty.
- 9:53Speaker 1: So these two were all over each other. She's happily married,
- 9:56Speaker 1: but they're selling their new very sexy movie Wuthering heights,
- 10:00Speaker 1: which I'm told is practically pornographic. I'm told it's absolutely beautiful.
- 10:04Speaker 1: But you hire probably the two most beautiful people in
- 10:07Speaker 1: the world, you put them in beautiful locations, you give
- 10:09Speaker 1: them a love story, and boom, it's explosive. Well, they're
- 10:12Speaker 1: also i think, carrying on this chemistry a little too
- 10:16Speaker 1: far off set. They're all over each other. They have
- 10:19Speaker 1: rings that they've given each other, they're best friends. They
- 10:22Speaker 1: can't breathe out to each other. I'm getting Ariana Grandy
- 10:27Speaker 1: and Cynthia Riva vibes. Remember when they were doing Wicked
- 10:30Speaker 1: and they kept told I'm getting that is this new
- 10:35Speaker 1: figured movies. You have to be deeply passionately in love
- 10:39Speaker 1: with your co star.
- 10:40Speaker 2: I mean it kind of freaks me out, like I
- 10:42Speaker 2: can't imagine probably my coworker's hand at the desk, like
- 10:45Speaker 2: walking around. I mean, also, remember just a few months ago,
- 10:48Speaker 2: we were talking about Pam Anderson and Liam Neesen's doing
- 10:51Speaker 2: the shame thing, and it's like, we're not dumb, and
- 10:53Speaker 2: we are tired of this, please.
- 10:56Speaker 1: We're tired with Cynthia and Ariana have not really seen
- 10:59Speaker 1: each other since the second movie came back, really he's
- 11:02Speaker 1: not even one photo of them together having a good
- 11:04Speaker 1: old time. Liah me some what a fool. I'm shocked
- 11:08Speaker 1: that he agreed to do that. I know on the
- 11:11Speaker 1: Today Show, kissing and pretending and whispering to each other.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I'm shocked. It's just Margo. You don't need to do this,
- 11:19Speaker 1: you know, just the photograph of Margot and Jacob. That's
- 11:22Speaker 1: all I need. I'll buy a ticket. You're absolutely gorgeous.
- 11:25Speaker 1: You don't need to be pretending to be together in
- 11:28Speaker 1: real life. Now, let's point out to don't get too
- 11:31Speaker 1: upset here about Margot Robbie's husband, because I think he's
- 11:34Speaker 1: a producer of the movie. So I'm told that he
- 11:38Speaker 1: signed off on this marketing campaign. He knows what's going on,
- 11:42Speaker 1: and he's willing to like turn away or not pay
- 11:45Speaker 1: any attention to the fact that his wife is giggling.
- 11:48Speaker 1: If Bruce was doing this, would I name him do it?
- 11:51Speaker 1: If Bruce said to me he's gonna sell more songs,
- 11:54Speaker 1: more tickets to his shows, if he pretends to have
- 11:56Speaker 1: an affair with Barry Man alone, would I be okay
- 12:01Speaker 1: with I don't know now, if I was the producer
- 12:05Speaker 1: of the show, maybe because that's where the big buddy is.
- 12:08Speaker 1: You two. We know exactly exactly what you are up to. Okay,
- 12:12Speaker 1: Timothy shallow may he has ditched those clownish, those really
- 12:17Speaker 1: bright outfits as he gets ready to win an Oscar.
- 12:21Speaker 1: What am I talking about?
- 12:23Speaker 2: Thank god? So just in time for the Oscar, Timothy
- 12:26Speaker 2: has quietly shelled the goofy Murray Supreme merge and stepped
- 12:30Speaker 2: back into the grown up territory. Suits, yes, even with
- 12:34Speaker 2: baggy pants, clean jackets, and zero novelty nonsense. Source of
- 12:38Speaker 2: say the message was simple, No one hands up ascars
- 12:41Speaker 2: to fashion distractions, and the clown error is over. The
- 12:45Speaker 2: campaigner's on and those crazy jackets now bargain bin history.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Boom. I like how you tell that? Let me remind
- 12:53Speaker 1: you that shared it with an oscar and she likes
- 12:55Speaker 1: a bit of fashion too, she likes a little bit
- 12:57Speaker 1: of outrageous, so they do give award. I think this
- 13:00Speaker 1: is very smart. This is what happens. This is why
- 13:02Speaker 1: you hire a good team around your manager, publicist agent.
- 13:06Speaker 1: You talk about a campaign, you say, we've got like
- 13:08Speaker 1: three or four weeks or however long you've got to
- 13:10Speaker 1: the oscars, and you're like, we'll do this event that
- 13:12Speaker 1: night and that event this night. You pick smart things
- 13:14Speaker 1: to do and smart places to go, and you talk
- 13:17Speaker 1: to the stylist too about the look. He's gonna win
- 13:20Speaker 1: the Oscar. At the moment, he is the favorite. I
- 13:22Speaker 1: will put my put my cards on the table right
- 13:25Speaker 1: now and say, yes, he's going to win. Hold this tape.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I think he's going to beat Leo. But I do
- 13:31Speaker 1: think that this is very very smart. The Oscar voters
- 13:36Speaker 1: a little older, little bit more conservative. They're not the
- 13:39Speaker 1: Golden Globe voters. They're quite traditional. And him turning up
- 13:44Speaker 1: in a suit, it's just less of a distraction than
- 13:47Speaker 1: the orange outfits I've noticed too. Kylie Jenner's disappeared just
- 13:50Speaker 1: a little bit, just to remind everybody that he's not
- 13:53Speaker 1: a tabloid sensation only He also too, is an actor, actor, actor,
- 13:58Speaker 1: It's going to work. Whoever is doing your campaign deserves
- 14:04Speaker 1: and award themselves. Ok, hey, quickly, before we get a break.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Ellen DeGeneres has bought a home in California. She's coming
- 14:10Speaker 1: back to America. She bought a twenty seven million dollar
- 14:14Speaker 1: mansion in Montecito. Now some people are saying, oh, she
- 14:18Speaker 1: left because of Trump. And she was so angry, and
- 14:20Speaker 1: she went to the Cotswolds and she didn't enjoy that.
- 14:22Speaker 1: So now she's coming back. Ellen has so much money
- 14:25Speaker 1: she could have a house in every city in the world.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Min Inside is in Britain, and I have good ones
- 14:32Speaker 1: say that she's really happy there. The Cotswalls is lovely.
- 14:34Speaker 1: It's just a very different type of life. And if
- 14:37Speaker 1: Ellen wants to be back in the Hollywood game, which
- 14:39Speaker 1: she misses she's been in it for what forty to
- 14:41Speaker 1: fifty years, then she's got a house to in Montecito.
- 14:44Speaker 1: She's also got apartment in New York City that I
- 14:46Speaker 1: don't think I've ever seen her stay at. I'm not
- 14:49Speaker 1: sure she's ever used it. These celebrities when they buy
- 14:52Speaker 1: a house, it doesn't mean they're going to move there.
- 14:55Speaker 1: She's still got a place in Britain. She's got a
- 14:57Speaker 1: place I think in Paris, and now too, she has
- 14:59Speaker 1: a place it's very close to Megan Markel in Montecito. Okay,
- 15:03Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break and we will
- 15:05Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but niceham
- 15:11Speaker 1: your head stop shooter with idea friend mock Lupo No
- 15:14Speaker 1: poll today. We've been doing a lot of Savannah stories
- 15:16Speaker 1: this week. Mark. It feels an unseemly to do a
- 15:19Speaker 1: poll when somebody is in such such pain. So let's
- 15:23Speaker 1: get straight to an nicist of the day.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Oh wow, Well it's it's Travis Kelcey. We love him.
- 15:32Speaker 2: He love him for a very good reason. He broke
- 15:34Speaker 2: a chair and joked that his fiance will kill him.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Let me explain it. So chaos had rained out on
- 15:41Speaker 2: the New Heights podcast when Travis Kelcey leaned back, laughing
- 15:45Speaker 2: and promptly snapped his chair in half. Now, his brother
- 15:48Speaker 2: Jason was there. He was shadow of concerns, and once
- 15:51Speaker 2: Travis sat up, he joked Taylors, what is going to
- 15:55Speaker 2: kill me? Apparently in the chair belonged to her, and
- 15:58Speaker 2: of course.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Lost he's at her house. He's at her house tape
- 16:03Speaker 1: in his podcast. That's a real insight. The chair's delicious.
- 16:05Speaker 1: It makes me giggle. But what I really like about
- 16:07Speaker 1: this is that he's working from home, her home, not
- 16:10Speaker 1: they're living together. They're practically living together, and she has
- 16:14Speaker 1: a better house than he does. She's going to talk
- 16:18Speaker 1: about Ellen and houses when you want to talk homes,
- 16:20Speaker 1: Taylor Swift has a portfolio of properties around the world,
- 16:24Speaker 1: so you might have broke a chair. I'm sure with
- 16:27Speaker 1: her billion dollars, she can replace that chair. It's sort
- 16:30Speaker 1: of fun to see this sort of how's a nice
- 16:32Speaker 1: way to put it. I don't know straight terms very well,
- 16:34Speaker 1: but sort of like a look of a guy. Is
- 16:36Speaker 1: that the right word or is that a rude thing
- 16:38Speaker 1: to say? Just a big burly guy sitting there giggling
- 16:42Speaker 1: away and breaks a chair. Just it made me giggle.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I don't know, she a white was so clumsy or
- 16:47Speaker 1: just so funny, and I do I loved so loud
- 16:50Speaker 1: when he revealed that he's actually at Taylor's house and
- 16:53Speaker 1: he just broke sir and I do you like your things?
- 16:57Speaker 1: It doesn't matter how rich you get. Your things are
- 16:59Speaker 1: your thing. It's like your apartment, Marcus Lovely, it's your apartment.
- 17:03Speaker 1: If somebody came over and broke a picture on your wall,
- 17:06Speaker 1: I'd be mad.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Well, you know, Kevin knows my apartment. He knows he
- 17:09Speaker 2: has one area to sit and he'd better not break
- 17:12Speaker 2: anything or else it's gonna be a big problem.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Kevin. Hello, you Mark is fussy. You're very fussy. I
- 17:20Speaker 1: imagine you're even more fussy at home.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Well, yeah, they have some nicknames for me. It's not great,
- 17:26Speaker 2: but yeah I have I have brawls and I have feelings.
- 17:29Speaker 1: What I would love to do is be at your
- 17:30Speaker 1: apartment with Kevin, wait for you to get to the
- 17:32Speaker 1: bathroom and rearrange few things on your coffee table. I
- 17:36Speaker 1: bet you would notice immediately. I bet you'd put them
- 17:40Speaker 1: back right away. I bet you wouldn't wait for me
- 17:43Speaker 1: to leave. You'd put that book back and those gases
- 17:46Speaker 1: and those flowers immediately. You're the tailor's swift of the
- 17:49Speaker 1: naughty but nice show. Okay, nicest of the day. They're
- 17:52Speaker 1: just adorable. And they are living together. Now, I noticed
- 17:55Speaker 1: the day naughty, naughty, naughty. This is a big deal.
- 17:58Speaker 1: So cops are shutting down. Ruba's out there, rumor's out
- 18:02Speaker 1: there that and this is a difficult one that Savannah
- 18:06Speaker 1: Guffrey's brother in law is a person of suspicion. So
- 18:10Speaker 1: this really exploded. When Ashley Banfield, who I've known forever,
- 18:13Speaker 1: we text, I've done a show a lot. She's really smart.
- 18:16Speaker 1: She suggested that a family connection. She suggested that this
- 18:20Speaker 1: family connection was the link to this crime will authorities
- 18:24Speaker 1: are pushing back really hard on this, saying there is
- 18:26Speaker 1: no suspect and no person of interest who has been identified,
- 18:31Speaker 1: and they're not confirming whether or not any vehicle was seized.
- 18:35Speaker 1: This is where it gets difficult. Ashley is a reporter.
- 18:38Speaker 1: She has a source that is telling her one specific
- 18:41Speaker 1: person in the family is being really closely watched as
- 18:45Speaker 1: a suspect. She's also claiming that a car that belonged
- 18:48Speaker 1: to a family member has been compounded. Is that the
- 18:52Speaker 1: right taken away to be checked for blood splatters, all
- 18:56Speaker 1: of which could be true. I don't know. I do
- 18:58Speaker 1: not have sources that are telling me that, But I
- 19:01Speaker 1: do think as a reporter, Mark and you, sometimes we
- 19:05Speaker 1: know stuff and it's not the right time to say it.
- 19:09Speaker 1: This is an active investigation. I would hate to think
- 19:12Speaker 1: anything I did or said could harm that. There's one
- 19:16Speaker 1: priority at the moment, and that's getting Nancy home, not
- 19:20Speaker 1: getting more people to listen to your podcast or follow
- 19:23Speaker 1: you on social media. It's just not about that. Mark.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Maybe we're not aggressive enough.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Mark.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Maybe you and I as reporters are soft touches. I
- 19:33Speaker 1: don't think so. I think we are the way that
- 19:35Speaker 1: I would want people to treat me if God forbid,
- 19:39Speaker 1: my family was in a situation like this. I've been
- 19:41Speaker 1: speaking on your behalf Mark, but where are you on this?
- 19:43Speaker 1: I think I've probably got it right.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I mean, you're spot on, and I think as a
- 19:47Speaker 2: reporter you have to really weigh that heavily, and you
- 19:50Speaker 2: don't want to be the person who reports the wrong
- 19:52Speaker 2: information or who interferes with something that's very serious and
- 19:55Speaker 2: very delicate. And I love Ashley Achu, but I think
- 19:58Speaker 2: she overstepped and I hope that it has an interfere
- 20:02Speaker 2: with the investigation. Annoy. That's horriful.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Absolutely, it's reckless. That's what it is here, Ashley. If
- 20:08Speaker 1: you're listening, I know you do alone. This is a
- 20:11Speaker 1: reckless moment, and she's doubling down on it. I saw
- 20:13Speaker 1: her on Entertainment tonight, I saw her on other shows.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Not the moment, Okay, let's end with a moment of Rob.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Is the moment for that. It always is a moment
- 20:21Speaker 1: for Rob. You're rub, You're gonna ub, you get a Rob.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Make happiness a habit. Happiness isn't something that's waiting for you.
- 20:28Speaker 1: It's something you have to practice. You don't stumble upon it.
- 20:31Speaker 1: You don't walk down the street mark them, Oh I
- 20:33Speaker 1: just tripped over happiness. No, you have to build it
- 20:36Speaker 1: one choice at a time. Choose gratitude over complaining, Choose
- 20:41Speaker 1: progress over perfection, and choose peace over proving a point.
- 20:46Speaker 1: That's an important one piece over proving a point. Your
- 20:50Speaker 1: habit shake your mood more than your circumstances, ever will.
- 20:55Speaker 1: That is so important to understand. We think our circumstance
- 21:00Speaker 1: make us happy or sad. If somebody smiles at us
- 21:03Speaker 1: in the Elephator, I was suddenly happy. No, it's not
- 21:06Speaker 1: about your circumstances. Make it about your habits. Every day
- 21:11Speaker 1: I make a habit when I'm brushing my teeth to
- 21:13Speaker 1: say today I'm going to be happy, and I practice
- 21:16Speaker 1: it all day long. You choose it, don't let anybody else.
- 21:21Speaker 1: You choose it today. Choose to be happy. Hey, that
- 21:25Speaker 1: is it full today? Thank you so much for listening
- 21:29Speaker 1: to The Naughty but Nice with Robin Mark Show, a
