- 2:10You can call us like I always say. 63, 16723108 Adam Schefter
- 2:16reports that the NFL owners have voted to keep the tush push as a
- 2:21legal NFL play after not getting 75% of the vote to ban it. 24
- 2:27out of 32 teams wouldn't, I mean would have needed to vote for
- 2:32banning the play, but they only got 22 votes.
- 2:36Both Jason Kelsey and Eagles owner Jeffrey Laurie gave about
- 2:41an hour long speech or persuading teams why the play
- 2:45should stay legal in football. A lot of teams referenced safety
- 2:50concerns as the reason they wanted them to ban it, but both
- 2:55Laurie and Kelsey explained why there are many other plays that
- 3:00are just as dangerous that then that is.
- 3:03Still, the Packers and Matt Lafleur were the ones that
- 3:09started the petition to ban the play and the coaches of other
- 3:12teams like the Falcons, Rams, and Lions also spoke against
- 3:16through I'm sorry, spoke against it.
- 3:18Throughout the offseason, the Eagles social media team trolled
- 3:22the Packers with a picture of them running the tush push
- 3:25against the Packers with the captain with the captain push
- 3:30on. The Eagles success rate of the
- 3:32Tush Bush was 82.4% last season, down from 2023 season when they
- 3:38succeeded 88.1% and 2020 two 92.3.
- 3:43The reason why there's a difference is Jason Kelsey.
- 3:46Jason Kelsey really revolutionized that quarterback
- 3:51sneak, tush push. And the only thing that's
- 3:53different about the tush pushes, they have two players standing
- 3:56behind the quarterback and pushing him.
- 3:58That's that's all. It is, but where did where did
- 4:00that come from? No, it it to me it was really
- 4:03the Eagles. They really re redefined the
- 4:07quarterback sneak. That's what they did.
- 4:08I mean, if you look at what Josh Allen does in the NFL.
- 4:13We've seen he, he, he goes to the guard on.
- 4:16Josh. Allen on the on the A gap or the
- 4:18C gap and goes there. Josh Allen Josh Allen is 6 foot
- 4:235-6, foot 6 and he's 260 lbs. Gigantic, enormous human being.
- 4:29OK, you look at Jalen Hurts. Jalen Hurts soaking wet is
- 4:34probably 210 lbs soaking wet. I mean, obviously he has one of
- 4:38the. I bet he's more.
- 4:39I bet he's more than. That he's got strong legs.
- 4:41He he obviously squats 650 lbs. He's one has one of the
- 4:46strongest legs in the NFL and that's why the tush push is
- 4:49successful. Even though he's not as big as
- 4:51Josh Allen, his strength, his leg strength and his ability to
- 4:55push forward is what makes him very, very unique.
- 4:58But you have either a tight end and a full back pushing you from
- 5:02behind and practically lifting you up.
- 5:04I I mean, that's why the success rate is there.
- 5:07Now again, going back to this year from the last two years is
- 5:11Jason Kelsey. Jason Kelsey is a unique
- 5:13individual. This is a all time great center.
- 5:16I think people forget how great Jason Kelsey is because Jason
- 5:20Kelsey played on arguably the best offensive line in football
- 5:23for how many years? I mean for the last 8 years.
- 5:25I mean, you have Peters, you have Lane Johnson.
- 5:30I mean, these guys are going to be Hall of Famers, first ballot
- 5:34Hall of Famers. How many offensive tackles,
- 5:36offensive lineman are first ballot Hall of Famers?
- 5:39Not many of them. They already have two guys and
- 5:41now three. I mean, Jason Kelsey is a first
- 5:44ballot Hall of Famer. These guys are the best at their
- 5:47positions for almost 10 years. So again, you you go back and of
- 5:52course Jeffrey Laurie's not going to say that it's illegal
- 5:54and he's going to say that it should be fair.
- 5:56And, and I think the NFL likes the fact that this is a
- 5:59challenge, likes the fact that, you know, the Eagles are going
- 6:02to go for it like this, stop it, find a way to stop it.
- 6:06There's got Bill Belichick is the king of finding ways to to
- 6:10work a certain play and and try to rediscover, redefine the way
- 6:15to defend it. Bill Belichick is the king of
- 6:17doing that. There's got to be somebody out
- 6:19there that's going to figure it out.
- 6:20When they do, it's not going to work.
- 6:22And and then the NFL is going to the Eagles are going to decide,
- 6:26hey, you know what, I'm not doing it anymore.
- 6:27It's not going to succeed because once a coach figures it
- 6:30out, the whole NFL, the whole league is going to figure out
- 6:33how to stop it. Nobody's figured it out yet
- 6:35because it's very hard to stop somebody that is as strong as
- 6:39Jalen Hurts. I'm, I'm, I'm sorry, guys, when
- 6:42you know a guy can squat 650 lbs, just think about this.
- 6:47He squats as much as Saquon Barkley.
- 6:50OK, Think about it. Saquon Barkley's legs are twice
- 6:53the size of Jalen Hurts, and this guy's a quarterback.
- 6:57And he's not as big, as I said, as Josh Allen or even Patrick
- 7:01Mahomes. And this guy's squatting 650 lbs
- 7:05and he maxed out at one time, I think I've read almost close to
- 7:08800. This is a quarterback, so I just
- 7:12think it's it's very hard to stop a guy that's as strong and
- 7:15his fast and it has the ability and the athletic ability that he
- 7:19has. And, and again, the Eagles are
- 7:21not going to stop and the league is not going to stop anything
- 7:24because the league knows that this has been going on for
- 7:27forever. Quarterback sneak's been around
- 7:29forever. Stop it.
- 7:30Find a way to stop it. Yeah, they tried to.
- 7:34Go ahead, Speedy, go ahead. Yeah, I was going to say, I
- 7:36think they tried to I think they tried to even 2023, I think it
- 7:39was the Bengals owner, Mike Brown.
- 7:41I think they wanted to ban it even then too.
- 7:43And that's when all the discussions started really
- 7:45across the league. And yeah, there's a way to do it
- 7:48that I it was funny, the shout out to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- 7:52social media team. They actually posted mechanics
- 7:54on how to stop the tush push because they've been the best at
- 7:56against it. Obviously they did it in the
- 7:57playoff game. It was the emphasis 1.
- 7:58And I think they've stopped at the most among the team so far.
- 8:01But there's adjustments that can be made with it too.
- 8:03And I think some of these coaches are starting to be more
- 8:05creative. You're a defensive guy, speedy
- 8:07if you are a defensive coordinator in the league right
- 8:09now. This is a good question if
- 8:11you're a defensive. You got to talk to fish on this
- 8:13too. I will, I will.
- 8:14I got, I got. I got a question here.
- 8:17If you were a defensive coordinator right now in the
- 8:19NFL, how would you defend it? So you generally.
- 8:23Don't do what the other teams are saying to do.
- 8:26If you were a defensive coordinator and you're looking
- 8:28at, you know, from XS to OS, how would you stop?
- 8:31So I would. But what?
- 8:33What what hold on? What personnel are you working?
- 8:35With that's what I'm going to explain.
- 8:36So I, I think you have to probably like a traditional goal
- 8:39line defense has three defensive tackles.
- 8:41So I think you would have to add more.
- 8:42If you're facing the Eagles, I think you probably would want
- 8:444/4 of them on the field. And then you'd want two guys
- 8:48that are going to jump the ball like you would see on a field
- 8:50goal kick. Guys like a speed linebacker,
- 8:53speed edge rusher that has the vertical to be able to jump it
- 8:56and try to do it from both sides, you have to make them
- 8:58adjust in some way, which you saw the Eagles do this year a
- 9:01little bit with Saquan, because Saquan is that good.
- 9:04They didn't really, I mean, Mile Sanders are the one good year,
- 9:06but he kind of fell off after that.
- 9:07So they didn't really have the other like second option to make
- 9:11that kind of thing work. So that's the way I would do it
- 9:13if I were. And again, you do it in
- 9:15different formations to defensive tackles.
- 9:16You could do sometimes like a triangle, you could do it maybe
- 9:19just four on the line. You could make it all different
- 9:21looks because I don't think there's it's going to be a play
- 9:23that's going to succeed a lot anyway.
- 9:25But that's the way I would do it.
- 9:26Now going back to the actual the actual push push thing, I think
- 9:30teams are starting to be more creative with it where they're
- 9:32not even just doing their quarterback either.
- 9:33I think the Niners have done it a few times with George Kittle.
- 9:35The Cardinals did it a few times with Trey McBride lining him up
- 9:39in the backfield and you doing this because they don't want
- 9:40obviously an undersized Kyler Murray to do it.
- 9:42So I think that's why the reason why it makes no sense all these
- 9:45teams want to ban it all of a sudden.
- 9:49So look, you're the mistake that everyone's making that Jason
- 9:53Kelsey pointed out, which is why I think this didn't get banned,
- 9:57is that it's actually the center's play.
- 9:59It's not the quarterback's play. It's not the guards play, it's
- 10:03not the running backs play. It's not the tight end that you
- 10:06put in a quarterback's play. It's the center.
- 10:09The center is the one that makes this play work because the
- 10:12center is going to do a technique he doesn't do on any
- 10:14other play. What he's going to do is he's
- 10:17going to dive underneath, intentionally go low and try to
- 10:21get under the 0 technique. Defensive Novus tackle under his
- 10:26pads and then just extend his body into him, therefore
- 10:30creating space for the quarterback to then move and
- 10:33then someone to push him in the back through the hole to get the
- 10:361 yard every single time because you're just extending your body,
- 10:40creating that one yard of space. Jason Kelsey's super athletic
- 10:43center able to get low. John Michael Schmidtz, not a
- 10:47super athletic Center for the Giants, tries to do what gets
- 10:50hurt and misses half the season. A lot of teams don't realize
- 10:54that that's really the reason they're doing it.
- 10:57I'm guaranteed they've been, what's his name the the Nebraska
- 11:00guy, Jurgens. Jurgens.
- 11:03He got hurt a little bit. But that's, but that's my point
- 11:06too of of why I said I wanted you to come in from a coach's
- 11:10perspective, because now you're seeing Cam go in.
- 11:14And why did they sign Cam to a long term extension?
- 11:18Because he learned from the best of what they did.
- 11:22And why did Jason Kelsey show up to the owners meeting talking
- 11:27about how important this is in the game?
- 11:29Like you got to understand like this is a part of the game.
- 11:32Like we're not cheating. We're not doing anything.
- 11:35It's like it's something that we take pride in.
- 11:38And when you take pride in something that you did, it is
- 11:42literally something that he loves and that he sacrificed
- 11:48everything on his body and one a Lombardi trophy.
- 11:54And now he teaches a kid that's behind him.
- 11:58Mind you, I'm I'm I'm not even dropping a Nebraska reference
- 12:01here, but he gets to teach a kid that was great in college too,
- 12:05but now gets to do it. And he gets to see the same
- 12:07thing and watch a man that is the first ballot Hall of Famer
- 12:11doing exactly what he's done. And this man stands up for the
- 12:16play that, mind you, do you. We've all seen the quarterback
- 12:21sneak, right? But Jason Kelsey kind of did the
- 12:26tush push, but he showed up and let them know like, this is
- 12:33something that is important. If you're not good enough to do
- 12:36it, sorry. You need the body type and the
- 12:41prototypes to make it work. Too 100% I also.
- 12:44Hertz is perfect for it, right? Correct.
- 12:46Carol, you were saying I would. Think I would think he would be
- 12:49the only one that's perfect for it because of his strength, his
- 12:52ability, his leg strength and his ability.
- 12:55To but if he but if he doesn't have a center is is he going to
- 12:58I think he. I think he could still do it.
- 13:01I think he's just so strong and he he has the ability to find
- 13:04the hole. I I don't think, but he's he's
- 13:07he's. Tried to go off all the gaps
- 13:09he's ever done, the tush Bush, he's tried to go out the gaps
- 13:11and he got stopped all players. Yeah, So I agree, actually.
- 13:15If you don't have a center that knows how to do it, you can't
- 13:18run that play because it's not going to work.
- 13:20You need somebody that knows how to do that specific technique.
- 13:23It's unique. It's not a normal technique in
- 13:25football. So it's a specific type of
- 13:29athleticism that's required for that.
- 13:31That's why you see like a Trey McBride down there.
- 13:33You need to have really good quads and glutes and hamstrings.
- 13:37You need to be really strong in the upper leg.
- 13:40If you can do that and get low with your squats, you can't be
- 13:43one of these guys that do quarter squats and don't get get
- 13:46down. You need to be the guy that your
- 13:47ass almost hits the floor. Those are the guys that you need
- 13:51in there and those are the guys you need pushing to stay that
- 13:54low and have that power. Hertz and Barkley the the bet.
- 13:57Probably 2 of the strongest squatters there.
- 13:59Are they are? So it's not surprising that
- 14:02those guys. I bet McBride's a great squatter
- 14:04too, I guarantee. That's why, just so you guys
- 14:06know something, Jalen Hurts as far as from his waist down, is
- 14:10by far the strongest quarterback in the NFL.
- 14:12It's not even close. It's not even close.
- 14:15But at the. Same time it doesn't have the
- 14:17front inside. Do you think the Eagles would
- 14:19have signed Cam for a four year extension if he wasn't that dude
- 14:24to get that? Yes and no, because you got to
- 14:29realize it's even though it's not their whole, even though
- 14:31it's a big part of their offense, it's not the whole
- 14:33offense. They still have to be able to.
- 14:34Do no, but when you get when you get to the when you get to the
- 14:37goal line, speedy when you get to goal line and you have a guy
- 14:40that has literally learned from the best that's ever done it.
- 14:43You wouldn't sign him to a four year deal.
- 14:45Oh, that's understandable. But at the same time, would
- 14:47would the Eagles have that same level of success if Kyler Murray
- 14:50or Bryce Young like a smaller? Quarterback was the quarterback
- 14:52they needed an athletic guy that can do what obviously Jason
- 14:55Kelsey can do when they have one and that's why it's working.
- 14:58But I still think it doesn't matter who the I.
- 15:01I disagree with Fish I as long as Jalen Hurts is 100% healthy,
- 15:06you're probably no matter what you're going to get at least 75%
- 15:09of the time if you're getting the the tush.
- 15:12Just just on a QB snake, not a tush push or whatever you want.
- 15:15Even if even if you have a semi decent center and he's trying to
- 15:19do the tush. Push and Dickerson could shift
- 15:21to center, too. I honestly think that because
- 15:24Jalen Hertz is so shifty and so strong, they're going to
- 15:27probably get it I would say 75% of the time no matter what.
- 15:31That's just my opinion. And the way to stop it is pretty
- 15:33simple. I mean, if you have three,
- 15:36really you? Did it with Josh Allen.
- 15:38We saw him. Josh Allen's not great.
- 15:40I don't think Josh Allen's great because I don't think he gets
- 15:42low enough. No, he's big.
- 15:43You still think? He's.
- 15:44He tries. He tries to use his body.
- 15:47As a fullback, he's not as much of A knee Bender.
- 15:50And so like, like one of the first things you get, like as I
- 15:53get college coaches coming to ask about my offense, high
- 15:56school offensive lineman, the first question they ask, is he a
- 15:59knee Bender? Because it's about how low you
- 16:02leverage isn't right. It's a it's a real thing.
- 16:06Hold on fish, can you explain what that means?
- 16:08Yeah. So like you need to be able to
- 16:09get 90° and you need to be able to like as an offensive lineman,
- 16:12you don't stand up until the play is over.
- 16:14So you need to be able to run at full speed while in a sort of
- 16:171/2 Crouch. So you need to be able to stay
- 16:20low and move quick at the same time and have power at the same
- 16:24time as all of that. So it's not an easy thing to do
- 16:27if you're a skill guy trying to do a line technique like this.
- 16:31Play basically is, well, you know, you need to be able to
- 16:35stay low, be a knee Bender and having credible power going
- 16:38forwards. There's certain exercises that
- 16:40show that power cleaning being one of them, squats being
- 16:43another. And it's not surprising why the
- 16:46Eagles are successful. If The Jets want to use a guy
- 16:50like maybe Braylon Allen pushing behind, and now you have a
- 16:54Justin Fields who's a little bit stronger.
- 16:56He needs to put on a little bit. He's not as strong as Hertz, but
- 16:59I believe if you guys, you guys might have a chance to do it.
- 17:02And teams that have more athletic playing lower to the
- 17:06ground. Quarterbacks are the guys.
- 17:08Well, and I, I want to get off the topic because we have a lot
- 17:10more to get into. I, I will say this, The Jets are
- 17:13going to use a lot of quarterbacks sneaks.
- 17:14That's why they drafted Mamba Mambu.
- 17:17The reason why they drafted Mambu is because Mambu is
- 17:20really, really strong and, and they have Olu on the other side.
- 17:23They're two really strong anchors on your offensive line
- 17:27and Mambu is just a beast. He's going to open up lanes,
- 17:30he's fast. He ran A48 at the combine.
- 17:33He's going to split opening opportunities for guys.
- 17:36But that doesn't do anything with you at the goal line.
- 17:39It might. I mean, you are offensive.
- 17:41Lineman don't do anything first. Of all.
- 17:42First of all, hold on one second.
- 17:44No, I'm saying. That might be on the inside of.
- 17:45The line, no, he doesn't have to.
- 17:47It doesn't have to be. If you're opening up one side of
- 17:49the line, all he's got to do is run right through it.
- 17:52So you would think that right and the Eagles have Saquon
- 17:55Barkley and if anyone is it was a Saquon Barkley fantasy owner
- 17:58last year, you know that you didn't get half as many
- 18:01touchdowns as you should have got.
- 18:02Because even though Saquon Barkley could have ran right
- 18:05behind Lane Thomas every time and got in, they did the tush
- 18:08push because it's an automatic play for them because of how
- 18:11strong hurts. And I think so I.
- 18:13I think Justin, that's the thing.
- 18:14I think Justin Fields is going to score a lot of touchdowns for
- 18:16The Jets this year because that's what they're going to do.
- 18:19And and, and, and Justin Fields, it has an offense, a young
- 18:22offensive line that can push people back.
- 18:26And, and this is a good, this is a very athletic offensive line.
- 18:29I think this is going to be one of the better, and I'm not
- 18:31saying this is a Jeff M This is going to be one of the more
- 18:33talented young offensive lines right now in the NFL, so.
- 18:36Quickly, before we get off it, I do have a sort of a solution on
- 18:40how to stop it and we saw one team try to do it.
- 18:42We saw Chris Jones try to go horizontal and attack the ball
- 18:46and the reason why he did that is what it's a Spags idea and
- 18:49I'm thinking what he's doing is if you have horizontal pressure
- 18:54on the guy. To get away, to get away from
- 18:55the ball. It knocks him off his axis and
- 18:58now the nose can just go forwards and push him back and I
- 19:02think that'll work. But I think Chris Jones hurt
- 19:04himself because he got hit before he was able to do it, so
- 19:07he tweaked his back doing that. I would have.
- 19:09I think the move is you put two guys, you have Chris Jones and
- 19:12you put a linebacker behind him. So if he pushes them, the
- 19:15linebacker jumps over Jones and then knifes in and tries to.
- 19:18I was just about to say they get 2 athletic linebackers that can.
- 19:21Yeah, I think that's the middle and push.
- 19:23But it has to be within conjunction with affecting the
- 19:27leverage of the center. The deuce of the dead.
- 19:30What the hell was that? You log, not a log.
- 19:32I don't have a log but. No.
- 19:40Well, that was interesting. Ladies and gentlemen, my deuce
- 19:42of the day goes to the Steelers. As Alex Highsmith was on a
- 19:47podcast recently, he said some interesting things about the
- 19:51Aaron Rodgers situation. He says Aaron Rodgers weight
- 19:56isn't a distraction to all of us.
- 19:58If he does sign, well, definitely, he'll definitely be
- 20:02a boost, but we're not sure, but we're going to be excited if he
- 20:05does. Here's what I'm going to say
- 20:07about the great Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers does what Aaron
- 20:11Rodgers wants. That's why the New York Jets
- 20:13organization and Aaron Glenn and ownership did not want him there
- 20:18this coming season. He is not a Good Samaritan for
- 20:22an organization, especially a young organization with a new
- 20:26coach. And now he's going to a team
- 20:28like Mike Tomlin. I guess they have a love fest.
- 20:30And Mike Tomlin probably told everybody, including Aaron
- 20:34Rodgers, hey, come back, come to the team, whatever you want.
- 20:37OTAs will be over. You can come practice with the
- 20:41team before the season and we'll be fine.
- 20:43The problem right now with Aaron Rodgers is if Aaron Rodgers does
- 20:47not go and sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers and decides
- 20:50to part ways and retire, who did the Steelers have as their
- 20:54starting quarterback? I I mean, seriously, they're
- 20:57waiting for Aaron Rodgers to make a decision and OTAs or
- 21:02what, two months, a month and a half away?
- 21:04This is not a good sign. Ladies and gentlemen, if you're
- 21:07a Steelers fan and anybody that thinks this is a good sign for
- 21:11for the Steelers organization and Mike Tomlin with this
- 21:14defense, one of the elite defenses.
- 21:15Elite only spells trouble. And you know what I think about
- 21:19this? I think not only this is the
- 21:21deuce of the day, this is an absolute debacle for an
- 21:24organization that supposedly is a top organization and one of
- 21:29the best organizations run in all of the NFL.
- 21:32This Rooney or this family, the Rooney family and even a family
- 21:37over there that's running the New York Football Giants that
- 21:40are very well respected throughout the league.
- 21:42They have been nothing but a debacle.
- 21:44A Pittsburgh Steeler organization that hasn't gotten
- 21:47out of the first round in eight seasons, and now a New York
- 21:50Giants team that hasn't won a Super Bowl or hasn't even come
- 21:53close to a Super Bowl since 2011. 7 Just an absolute crock.
- 21:58So my deuce of the day goes to the Pittsburgh Steelers and this
- 22:02Aaron Rodgers debacle. So there you go.
- 22:05Thank you for all by the way. It was, I don't know if it was
- 22:09High Smith, but it was another defensive player.
- 22:11Cameron Hayward. Cameron Hayward, Cameron Hayward
- 22:14said. I think it was a couple of weeks
- 22:16ago after the Super Bowl says if Aaron Rodgers comes to this
- 22:19team, it'll be an absolute debacle and the organization is
- 22:23making a huge mistake. And now you have High Smith, one
- 22:25of their best linebackers, one of the best defensive players
- 22:28saying, hey, we're going to we're going to welcome it with
- 22:30open arms. Is this team actually on the
- 22:33same path? Do they actually know what
- 22:35they're freaking doing? I, I don't know what this team
- 22:39in this organization's trying to do.
- 22:41They've made so many mistakes. They drafted Kenny Pickett, he's
- 22:44no longer with this organization.
- 22:46They bring in Russell Westbrook, Russell, I'm sorry, Russell
- 22:49Wilson, They bring in Justin Fields.
- 22:52They had a good young quarterback.
- 22:53All they had to do was start him throughout the season last year
- 22:57and not bring in Russell Wilson in the middle of a season and
- 23:01maybe Justin Field signs with them and instead they got Aaron
- 23:05friggin Rodgers. Or do they?
- 23:07We don't know. So I don't know what's going on
- 23:10with this organization. Nobody does.
- 23:12I don't get it. I don't get it.
- 23:14But you know what? Thank God it's not the New York
- 23:16Jets. Thank God The Jets are not in
- 23:19the tabloids with the Aaron Rodgers saga.
- 23:21They were. I thought I thought we could get
- 23:23through a segment without having The Jets reference or.
- 23:26Something. I haven't spoken, I haven't seen
- 23:28The Jets, I think. I haven't spoken about The Jets
- 23:30in weeks. I don't even, I know it's been,
- 23:33it's been a few. I was proud of you.
- 23:35I'm I'm giving you a compliment. First of all, if I'm giving, I'm
- 23:38giving you a compliment. If I ever speak about The Jets,
- 23:40it's not good. OK?
- 23:42So I don't know. I don't know why anybody thinks
- 23:45that when I speak about The Jets, it's good.
- 23:47It's a good story. It's usually bad.
- 23:49But yeah, I thank God The Jets are not the laughingstock right
- 23:53now in the offseason. It is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 23:56They have nothing. Who is their quarterback if he
- 23:59doesn't sign with them? Is it Mason Rudolph?
- 24:03I think it's Mason Rudolph, yeah.
- 24:06They're they're arguably the worst team in the NFL.
- 24:08Next year with Mason Rudolph is their starting quarterback.
- 24:11And maybe they're they're looking to lose.
- 24:13And maybe this is Mike Tomlin's farewell tour because then they
- 24:17get the number one pick next year with the quarterback class.
- 24:19Very, very good. Next.
- 24:20Year if it says to not forget about Will Howard, the great
- 24:23Will Howard. Could you stop Nathan?
- 24:25What are you? Even Nathan Nathan put in
- 24:29perspective. Even Wes is a huge Ohio State
- 24:31Buckeyes fan. Couldn't stand Will Howard.
- 24:33Will Howard, is that where we're coming to?
- 24:36This is where we're coming. I, I mean serious, I don't, I
- 24:39don't understand the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 24:41I think the Browns have a better, they're in better
- 24:43position to have a better season with the quarterback debacle
- 24:46they have over there than the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 24:49At least they have four quarters.
- 24:51Why didn't you? Why don't they sign Joe Flacco?
- 24:54Joe Flacco was again sitting on his parents sofa and now he's
- 24:58over there with the Browns and they have what, 4 starting
- 25:00quarterbacks or whatever they have over there.
- 25:02Well, they got 3 and. 14 healthy and one that's on IR with
- 25:07Watson. Well, hold on one second.
- 25:09They got four of them, they drafted 2 of them, and one of
- 25:12them that's probably going to be on the practice squad after
- 25:15making 6,000,000 last year is making 4 million after being
- 25:18drafted in the fifth round this past year.
- 25:20You know what I'm talking about. Your boy Chador is I got to
- 25:25figure out a nickname for Chador Sanders.
- 25:27I got to get a. You didn't find 1 yet like you
- 25:30did with the gremlin. He looks like a gremlin.
- 25:33I mean, anybody, Has anybody seen what Travis Hunter looks
- 25:39like? I mean, seriously, I'm not
- 25:41trying to. Make we all, we all.
- 25:42Have. I mean when he smiles he looks
- 25:44like a gremlin. I mean he really does.
- 25:47I mean, by the way, they're coming out with Gremlins Tree
- 25:49finally after 25 years. So maybe he's a starring He
- 25:52stars as one of the lead roles in that movie.
- 25:55I mean, that would be cool, right?
- 25:57And everybody would be giving me the head.
- 25:59You know, they'd be giving me the compliments because I gave
- 26:01him the nickname Gremlin. I I give everybody a nickname.
- 26:04I just never get credit for anything I do on this show,
- 26:07ever. I mean, I've called things and
- 26:09I've said, by the way, where's Bambi?
- 26:11I mean, where? Oh, I forgot, he's in San
- 26:13Francisco. How, How?
- 26:14How's that? How's that debacle going to last
- 26:18this coming season? By the way, where are you, Owen?
- 26:21Where's the compliments from that one baby?
- 26:23We call this King of the Hill, and here's the King of the Hill.
- 26:28This, Bobby, is the Beltline. You never ever hit below that.
- 26:32Not that kind of king of the hill, you dumb.
- 26:36This is king of the hill. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 26:40we do this every single week. How many how many weeks have we
- 26:43done this is it's been 2 third. Week, I think.
- 26:46I think it's third week. Yeah, so it's been 2 weeks and
- 26:49now this is the third week. Third, yeah.
- 26:51So guys, welcome to King of the Hill.
- 26:53This is a competition where everyone competes to have a
- 26:57chance to take on the king, and the king has been the king the
- 27:01entire time. Errol has won every single one
- 27:03of these and we have 3 rounds and basically there's different
- 27:06trivia. Tonight is NFL themed on who's
- 27:09going to compete. Errol as the king will decide
- 27:11who are the two finalists to make it to the joust in round
- 27:15two. Different topic.
- 27:16And Errol will pick who he faces in the final round.
- 27:19And then all of us, as if it's a democracy, will vote on if the
- 27:23king stays the king or not. You guys ready to play King of
- 27:28the Hill? Yes.
- 27:31Where I'm going, that guy? Well, you want us to cheer here?
- 27:34Good for me or good for you? It's it's good for both of them.
- 27:36It's good for all. The drops you got a million
- 27:38drops you could have put. Anything you know right here?
- 27:41I got one for you. A lot of hot ladies.
- 27:42There you go. Let's go.
- 27:43Yeah, where is Nathan? I told him to come on.
- 27:45Kevin, Nathan. Nathan the witty Do you want to
- 27:48jerk me off, Nathan? Get in here man.
- 27:54Nathan, you got to stop, you know, duty dodging.
- 27:57Cocka Doo Doo. Cocka doodle.
- 28:00Play Cocka. Doodle, can I touch it?
- 28:02All right, so guys, here we go. First round we have the peasant
- 28:07fight. My dog wants your Pussycat.
- 28:09A chance to fight over the best running backs in NFL history.
- 28:15The way it goes, it's just going to go one person, say a running
- 28:18back, explain why briefly. Next person goes and we're just
- 28:22going to name 3 and we will randomly start with whoever the
- 28:25king decides to start with. All right, I'm going to go
- 28:29speedy. All right, I'm going to go Barry
- 28:30Sanders. I think Barry Sanders we've
- 28:32talked about a lot. It played in a really crappy
- 28:34offensive line. They had one potential Hall of
- 28:36Famer with Lamas Brown, but they had no quarterback.
- 28:39They had barely any offensive line and he was putting up the
- 28:41numbers like crazy. Basically the definitely the
- 28:43most athletic, shiftiest running backs I've ever seen either.
- 28:47And again, it's so much on a such a bad team.
- 28:49I got to go him. Fish.
- 28:52Sweetness, Walter Payden absolutely has to be considered
- 28:56one of the greatest running backs of all time. 85 Bears.
- 28:59Not to mention everything he did earlier in his career on teams
- 29:01that maybe weren't as successful.
- 29:03Kind of the pioneer of the modern running back Walter
- 29:07Payden. Jabba, I'm.
- 29:09Going to go GAIL Sayers. GAIL Sayers, obviously from
- 29:12being from Nebraska, doing what he did and how he accomplished
- 29:17all the things he was comeback player of the year, offensive
- 29:19player of the year, scoring leader in 65, just an absolute
- 29:23dynamic player. All right, Mr. You know what?
- 29:28Tommy poops himself. I'm going to go with OJ Simpson.
- 29:34Look, the man, OJ Simpson has been one of the best running
- 29:38back or was one of the best running backs of all time.
- 29:40And killer pick. The way I see it, hey, I see
- 29:45what you did there. I see what you did there, Fish.
- 29:47I caught on but. Basically, I can only see half
- 29:52your. Kind of put my face in the
- 29:54camera here, move my mic over a little bit.
- 29:56It's on this camera here. Let's move this a little bit,
- 29:58but. All right, yeah, Basically tell
- 30:00us about why the juice is loose like.
- 30:03You said it's a very killer pick.
- 30:04I mean, really one of the most dominant running backs of all
- 30:07time really just put like nobody knew how to stat pad the the
- 30:12patch. Nobody know how to stat the stat
- 30:13sheet like Mr. OJ Simpson over here, Tommy Freeze and oh, Nope,
- 30:18I should be still gone. Can you still see me?
- 30:20No. Nope.
- 30:21Am I even better now, Tommy? All right, there we go Perfect.
- 30:23But. Yeah, All right.
- 30:24End this. End this like please.
- 30:26No, Yeah, honestly, very, very dominant.
- 30:28And OJ Simpson. There we go.
- 30:29There we go. All right, back to Speedy.
- 30:33All right, I'll go with Danny and Tomlinson.
- 30:34I would think the best running back in the 2000s pass catching
- 30:37guy is in addition to being one of the most electric runners.
- 30:39I think his secondary move from his Juke to spin with some of
- 30:42the best we've ever seen on a Chargers really resurrecting
- 30:46that Chargers team from I know they had a Super Bowl run, but
- 30:48they were like pretty, pretty poverty franchise after Dan
- 30:52Fouts retired. Besides that one Super Bowl kind
- 30:54of resonanting them, I think the most electric one I've ever seen
- 30:57in my time watching football as a pure runner and also a
- 30:59receiver. Well I'm not going to disagree
- 31:03with the receiver part, but best in the early 2000s, I'm going
- 31:06with Adrian Peterson. Adrian Peterson, one of the best
- 31:11running backs I've ever seen in my entire life.
- 31:13Bruising running back through the tackles with lightning
- 31:16speed. Came back from an ACL in what, 6
- 31:19months to run for 2000 yards. One of the most amazing feats of
- 31:24athleticism anyone's ever done. I'll still never forget him
- 31:27torturing all of all the giants every single time they face
- 31:31them. I went to one of the games where
- 31:33he scored three touchdowns. The Chargers always blew up the
- 31:35Giants. Well, that too, but.
- 31:37I mean, sorry, I was on a phone call.
- 31:40All right, all right. You don't have to tell anybody
- 31:42that. Go ahead.
- 31:44Nobody cares. All right, stop.
- 31:46Stop. Adrian Peterson moving on to
- 31:49Jabba. I'm.
- 31:50Going to go Jim Brown. I'm going to go Jim Brown
- 31:53because of what he's accomplished and people don't
- 31:56understand too. He was a champion in 64, most
- 32:02valued player three times. Also, they don't understand that
- 32:06he was literally one of the best lacrosse players ever too at the
- 32:10University of Syracuse and what he did is absolutely amazing.
- 32:16Eight time first team, All pro like Jim Brown has to be there.
- 32:22All right, Tommy. I am going with Marshall Faulk.
- 32:25Marshall Faulk a three time, yeah, three time in a row
- 32:29Offensive player of the year, one time being an NFLMVP.
- 32:34The man was phenomenal. He was very, very much a key
- 32:36piece into that Saint Louis team and very, very, like I said, a
- 32:40key piece. And just overall reinventing
- 32:42that team and getting them to a Super Bowl.
- 32:44And Marshall folk just dominant running back in the early, early
- 32:482000s, early or late 90s. So go Marshall.
- 32:51Folk yeah, I think give me one, give me one running back of that
- 32:55you would think is one of the greatest of all time.
- 32:58I'm going to go with my I'm going to go with my guy Emma
- 33:00Smith, obviously, three times Super Bowl champion, Most
- 33:05Valuable Player 14 first time all pro 8 time Pro Bowl.
- 33:09I'm, I'm going Emma Smith, man, one of the best.
- 33:12Whatever to do to do it. All right, Speedy, give me your
- 33:14final. One, all right, last one, I'm
- 33:15going to go with Curtis Martin. Curtis Martin, one of the best
- 33:18running backs, late 90s, early 2000s with The Jets, steady with
- 33:21The Jets for a while with Bill Parcells there and all the
- 33:23different coaching and quarterback turnover that they
- 33:25had over there. Very consistent year to year.
- 33:27Very efficient runner as well and a fantastic skill set as
- 33:31well. I'm going to go with a screwball
- 33:33because Nathan stole my pick. Of course he did.
- 33:37I'll go with someone who didn't play to normally have these
- 33:40stats and normally you wouldn't mention him if he wasn't the
- 33:44greatest anyone's ever seen do it.
- 33:46It was Bo Jackson. Bo Jackson, the most impressive
- 33:49running back. Most people I've ever seen.
- 33:52Bo over the top is still something people I remember over
- 33:57the top is a phrase that is coined that he created when he
- 34:01was a running back in college. He is one of the most powerful
- 34:05and impressive athletes we've ever seen in multiple sports,
- 34:08but especially on the football field at running back Bo
- 34:11Jackson, Jabba Jabba I'm. Going to go Earl Campbell.
- 34:17I'm going to go Earl Campbell in, in the fact of kind of what
- 34:20he presented in the way he did it.
- 34:24You know, obviously playing at Texas, won the Heisman unanimous
- 34:28All American, obviously Most Valuable Player in 79.
- 34:32I he, he ran that was like the big pads when that was like when
- 34:37it started happening. And Earl Campbell was an
- 34:40absolute monster. All right, Tommy finishes up.
- 34:44I'm going with Eric Dickerson. Not really.
- 34:47Just one of the best running backs of all time, one of the
- 34:51honestly very unfortunate that he didn't get the most playoff
- 34:54success, which is why, you know, he'd unfortunately didn't get
- 34:58himself a ring. But however Mr. Eric Dickerson
- 35:01is going to be, you know, it's going to be up there for me #3.
- 35:06All right, Errol, make your choice.
- 35:09Who moves on to the joust? All right, I I got speedy.
- 35:13Definitely Speedy's definitely the the guy.
- 35:16And like I told you, fish, I like your I like the the three
- 35:19guys you picked, but you're hosting it, so I can't really
- 35:22have you move on. If if you were to ask me right
- 35:24now, I would pick you second. I think you had the second best
- 35:26team. So, but I'm going to go with
- 35:28Jabba. All right, Speedy and Jabba,
- 35:30move on. I'll take that compliment from
- 35:33His Highness in this game and move forwards.
- 35:36Everyone else, you are eliminated.
- 35:38Tommy and Nathan, thanks for playing.
- 35:40You guys could pop off to the backstage.
- 35:43Moving on. By the by the way, I just want
- 35:45to, I want to give a shout out. By the way, Jim Brown is the
- 35:48greatest. Him and Barry Sanders are the 2
- 35:50greatest running backs of all time then I would say.
- 35:53Walt I didn't pick Jim Brown myself.
- 35:55And then Walter so. Yeah, Hayden, Yeah, three top
- 35:58three. Yeah, that's pretty good.
- 36:01All right, so. Jim Thorpe, too.
- 36:03He was great. He was a great running back.
- 36:05Second round, the joust. This one's a fun one.
- 36:09Best special teams players of all time?
- 36:13This could be kickers, punters, return men, Gunners, I guess if
- 36:19you want to include them. I don't think anyone's doing
- 36:21that, but you could. So any special teams guys at
- 36:26all? Top three Let's leave it off
- 36:30with a king. Who goes first King?
- 36:32I'm going to go Java. Oh, I got to go Devin Hester.
- 36:39Yeah, I got to go Devin Hester with with the fact of his
- 36:44returns on punts and kickoffs and having the most returns for
- 36:51touchdowns that hasn't even been touched, which I don't think
- 36:54it'll ever be touched now with the way they've changed the
- 36:56rules. And I think that's just one
- 36:59that'll never be touched ever again.
- 37:02Godspeed. All right, I'll take Adam
- 37:03Vinatieri for this. Obviously clutch kicker.
- 37:06Great longevity, too, even after his career with the Patriots,
- 37:08obviously doing it with the Colts, resurrecting after the
- 37:10Mike Vanderjack debacle in the playoffs, resurrecting that
- 37:13team, winning a Super Bowl there.
- 37:14And then even later on, too, later in his career with the
- 37:17Colts, when Andrew Luck was there, he still had some really
- 37:19good numbers, top 10 numbers for kickers even at almost 40 years
- 37:22old. So got to go with Vinatieri.
- 37:24Back to Java. We're going to go Justin Tucker,
- 37:28obviously, whether he's he's in the massage room or not, doesn't
- 37:32matter what he did on the field. We don't care about that.
- 37:34But his numbers speak for themselves and how his longevity
- 37:38and everything Haiti did, you know, longest field goal and
- 37:42everything that he's done. Justin Tucker is in the
- 37:45conversation. I'll go with a, I'll go with a
- 37:47different returner, Dante Hall. Another one, early 2000's, the
- 37:50Kansas City Chiefs that was very electric a little before Devin
- 37:53Hester. Not as good as Devin Hester
- 37:54overall, but still very shifty. Great return guy, great speed
- 37:58and agility. Then was very fun to watch.
- 38:00I only got to see him kind of later in his career, but one of
- 38:02the most electric guys. Yeah, the human joystick.
- 38:07Back to Jabba. And I'm, I'm going to I'm kind
- 38:10of kind of sway this because it's, it's a little different.
- 38:13I'm going to go Pat McAfee because of what he's done, not
- 38:18only on the field to how he made that position kind of sexy and
- 38:23what he did and, you know, blowing guys up on the sidelines
- 38:28and just having that personality.
- 38:30I think he made special teams sexy.
- 38:33And I think that's that is a value that we look at.
- 38:36And I love my guy from Seward NE and Sam Coke who punted forever,
- 38:41but it's not as sexy as what Pat McAfee did.
- 38:45All right, I'll round it out with a very another very good
- 38:47long distance kicker as well. Sebastian Janikowski, one of the
- 38:50few kickers that were drafted in the first round, had a great
- 38:51career with the Raiders too long distance.
- 38:54I think it had like 560 yard field goals before, like now
- 38:57everyone's doing it. I think he really was like, the
- 39:00Raiders were a terrible team, but like, you're always like,
- 39:02oh, could Janikowski set another record break another record?
- 39:05Because he had the longest one for a while until Matt Prater, I
- 39:08believe, was the one that broke it at 64 and then Tucker.
- 39:10Broke it in Denver. Yes, and like he got to kick in
- 39:13the altitude. He's Josh Jankowski is taking
- 39:15out a freaking baseball field. A lot of his career, like in
- 39:18Oakland and the Oakland Coliseum too, which I think made it very
- 39:20impressive as a whole making those kicks that long, a lefty
- 39:23kick or two, you don't see a lot of those either.
- 39:25So I'm going to go Janikowski to round it out.
- 39:28All right, Errol. You forgot Slater, by the way.
- 39:31Play for the Patriots. Just.
- 39:33So you guys forgot Ray Guy, the only punter in the Hall of Fame
- 39:37as. Well, yeah, Slater has been the
- 39:39best special teams guy over the last 10 years.
- 39:42He just retired, so I'm going to go with Speedy.
- 39:46I, I, I, I, I would not put Pat McAfee there at all.
- 39:49I, I mean, I understand he's sexy, but not sexy enough to be
- 39:53the greatest, one of the greatest special teams guys of
- 39:55all time. Just my.
- 39:57Opinion. All right, so this is what we're
- 39:59going to do now. I'm going to bring everybody
- 40:00back in and we're going to put you down below over here
- 40:07perfectly just like this. If it looks so good in that
- 40:09little shot on this phone, the. Voters to see if the king stays
- 40:14the king or not, let's show the. Speedy beat his ass.
- 40:19Beat his ass, Speedy. Let's go.
- 40:21You can do it. Let's go, speedy, Let's go.
- 40:26All right, nice words of encouragement, Nathan.
- 40:29Here we go. Round three take on the King.
- 40:33What's the topic? Best coaches in NFL?
- 40:38History. That's a good one.
- 40:40Best coaches Same rules apply. The king chooses if he wants to
- 40:47go first or second. Well, I'm going to go first
- 40:50because I have to go. Bill Belichick, the greatest
- 40:54coach of all time, no questions, 6 championships.
- 40:58Yes, he had Tom Brady, but what he did with the Patriots and,
- 41:01and really he went from the Browns, who he never won with
- 41:04the Browns. Then he was a, a defensive
- 41:06corner. He won two titles with the he
- 41:09won two titles with the Giants. Just think about it.
- 41:11He's won eight rings, eight rings as a coach, as a defensive
- 41:15and and obviously a quarterback coach with the New York Giants.
- 41:19And then he goes to The Jets. He works under Bill Parcells,
- 41:22one of the one of the greats, no question.
- 41:24And then Bill Belichick makes a name for himself all the way
- 41:26with the New England Patriots, winning six titles.
- 41:29He's the one who drafted the great Tom Brady.
- 41:31He's the one that really, I mean, the AFC East was won by
- 41:35the Patriots for like 21 years. I mean, the dominance of Bill
- 41:39Belichick can't be, you know, can't be spoiled Bill Belichick.
- 41:42I'll take Don Shula is my first one winning his coach right now
- 41:44in NFL history. Also coach some great
- 41:46quarterbacks, obviously Dan Marino and Johnny Unites, but
- 41:48Johnny unites like a great longevity moving from the end of
- 41:52the Baltimore and the end of the tenure into Indianapolis too and
- 41:55then Miami too, coaching in Miami with Dan Marino after the
- 41:59and obviously the perfect season.
- 42:00You have to you have to mention the perfect season with the 72
- 42:03Dolphins are the only team to ever achieve it.
- 42:04That great defense that they had probably coached.
- 42:07I would say at least 30 Hall of Farmers on between those two
- 42:10teams. So I would go down Shula as my
- 42:12first one. Errol.
- 42:14Vince Lombardi, Lombardi Trophy, Green Bay Packers from 1959 to
- 42:206067. I mean, six division titles,
- 42:24three NFL championships, Coach Bart Starr, some of the greatest
- 42:28teams we've ever seen and one of the greatest minds the NFL has
- 42:32ever seen. I mean, everybody keeps talking
- 42:34about the Green Bay Packers and all the great quarterbacks they
- 42:36had. Well, this guy was the greatest
- 42:38mind in Packers history. He really redefined the coaching
- 42:43position and everybody was trying to catch up to Lombardi,
- 42:47and Lombardi was the greatest until Bill Belichick taking that
- 42:50spot. So I'm going the one and only.
- 42:52That's Lombardi all. Right, I'll take for my second
- 42:54one. I'll take Bill Walsh, one of the
- 42:56offensive innovators in this game.
- 42:57A lot of the West Coast concepts that are used by Andy Reid and
- 43:00other great coaches in today's game.
- 43:02Bill Walsh was the guy that pioneered it, obviously doing
- 43:03with two different quarterbacks with Joe Montana, then with
- 43:05Steve Young, Jerry Rice, the greatest receiver of all time,
- 43:08arguably the greatest football player of all time and adjusted
- 43:11as well from the pre salary cap there into the salary cap era
- 43:14too. And still putting together.
- 43:16There's some contenders with the Niners as well, winning the
- 43:18Super Bowl in 95 when they got Deion Sanders.
- 43:20And so I going to go Bill Walsh on this one.
- 43:22One of the more innovative coaches.
- 43:25My final one is got to go. I know everybody's going to look
- 43:29at this, but Bill Parsells, Bill Parsells, I mean, the tree that
- 43:35he has had. Just think about it.
- 43:37Tom Coughlin, Bill Belichick, Sean Payton, you name the trees,
- 43:42probably the greatest tree in NFL history.
- 43:44Go look at the championships. It doesn't lie to championships
- 43:47with the Giants. Everywhere he's gone, go look at
- 43:50the defensive players that he has drafted, their all time
- 43:53greats. The guy is one of the greatest
- 43:55defensive minds of all time. He really redefined the
- 43:58defensive, the defensive head coach, quarterback type of
- 44:02leader in and what he did over there with the New York Giants
- 44:05and then everywhere he went, Dallas Jets.
- 44:08Go look at the teams in the very short time he turned those teams
- 44:11into playoffs and championship contending teams.
- 44:14But he never stayed there long enough to win titles in those
- 44:17places. But I absolutely believe he's in
- 44:19my top three. Bill Parcells.
- 44:21All right, the last one I'll take is Chuck Knoll winning 4
- 44:24Super Super Bowls with the Steelers resurrecting that team.
- 44:26They were a poverty franchise for a while.
- 44:29In the first like probably 30 years of their existence, they
- 44:31had the hybrid team with the Eagles.
- 44:32They were terrible up until that 70s dynasty and arguably a lot
- 44:35of the greatest teams ever both on offense and defense.
- 44:38The Steel Curtain with some Hall of Famers on that, obviously,
- 44:40Terry Bradshaw, Lynn Swan, John Stallworth, Hall of Fame guys,
- 44:43Franco Harris, rest in peace. Franco Harris, arguably the
- 44:47greatest, one of the greatest teams ever.
- 44:49Probably that 76 season might have been the greatest team on
- 44:52paper with that Steel Curtain defense all around.
- 44:54Another guy that probably coached 30.
- 44:56Hall of Fame, stop, stop, in terms of it all around.
- 44:59Greatest Teams. In terms of an all around
- 45:02statistical and talent driven team, you could definitely make
- 45:04that case with that 76 stop. Using your analytics on some
- 45:08some such lies man, such lies. All right, so we have Errol with
- 45:13Belichick, Lombardi and Parcells and Speedy with Don Shula, the
- 45:18Walsh and Chuck Knoll. All right, I'm going with Errol.
- 45:22That's exactly the top three. I I think I would have probably
- 45:27had those two at the top two. I thought it was either between
- 45:31Parcells or Walsh for three. And I I just remember certain
- 45:36game where Parcells handed it to Walsh pretty well.
- 45:39So I would have went with him over him.
- 45:40So I'm going with Errol in this one.
- 45:43Let's go to Tommy with your Oh, Jabba, you're back, Jabba.
- 45:47I you know what? I I want to go with Speedy
- 45:51because I want Arrow to lose everything, but Lombardi has to
- 45:58be in there like that. That is, and love Speedy's
- 46:02analytics on everything. But I think exactly the three
- 46:07that Errol had. Like I, I love Speedy's in in
- 46:11how he created a concept. But Errol, I hate to admit this
- 46:17and I'm going to give you, but this, this one, you, you
- 46:20actually, I was proud of you. I was proud of you on this one,
- 46:22bud. All right, so 2 votes to none,
- 46:25Tommy. Yeah, I'm a go with Arrow
- 46:27Speedy. You're analytical with the
- 46:29coaches or of course top notch with with everything that you
- 46:32put down in front of me. And I do of course agree with
- 46:34you on a lot of things what you said with Chuck Noel and Don
- 46:37Shula. But it's really hard to agree,
- 46:39disagree that Vince Lombardi and Belichick aren't the number one
- 46:42and 2 when it comes to head coaches.
- 46:44So I'm at the Otheiro. Alright, Errol, guess what that
- 46:49means you don't have to hear from.
- 46:51This. Oh, come on.
- 46:52No, Nathan. What do you think, Nathan?
- 46:54Arrow. I was gonna, I'm gonna pick an
- 46:56arrow. So it's a clean sweep.
- 46:58Man, a clean sweep, Speedy, you keep taking your shots at the
- 47:02king and you keep. Coming up, I like I like facing
- 47:06off with speedy, but the fact that he had the nerve to say
- 47:09that that 76 Pittsburgh team was one of the greatest of all
- 47:12That's a that's a joke. That's not true.
- 47:14Not a not true at all. Not true.
- 47:17I would, I wouldn't. I wouldn't go that far.
- 47:20One of the greatest teams of all time, I mean.
- 47:23They're, I mean, they're in the conversation.
- 47:26Maybe the tail end of maybe 10 or 11.
- 47:29There were a lot of. Great teams in the conversation.
- 47:32There were a lot of great teams, man, a lot of great teams.
- 47:35I don't know. I mean, you can, I guess if you
- 47:38want to argue it. I, I listen, I'm not taking
- 47:40shots at speedy. I I mean, if if that's what he
- 47:43thinks, that's what he thinks. I disagree.
- 47:47If if people would ask me, but that's.
- 47:48Just I think that there were a couple at Walsh had better
- 47:51teams, shoeless 72 team was better.
- 47:54So I, I just think even in that era, those errors, I think there
- 47:58were better teams. Obviously the Steelers
- 48:00dominated, you know, throughout the decade, Terry.
- 48:03Bradshaw is one of the most overrated quarterbacks of all.
- 48:07Well, I mean, I I would say they try.
- 48:09They kind of opened up the offense in a way that other
- 48:12teams weren't doing back in that 70s era and at the same time had
- 48:16a better defense than everybody. So when they got a lead on you,
- 48:20it was very difficult and they were airing it out to get a lead
- 48:23on you. So it was a pretty good strategy
- 48:24for back in those days. But that's when you when you had
- 48:27the past Pocketers too. Like it different, different
- 48:29quality. Yeah.
- 48:30I mean it was obviously very different, but like if for as
- 48:32far as those days that's. What I love, I love, I love
- 48:35speedies on the West Coast offense and, and, and what he
- 48:38presented, it's just like this. He had to go that way.
- 48:42He had to. I was wondering.
- 48:43If anyone was going to say Andy Reid, to be honest with you, no,
- 48:46he's climbing that. He's climbing, he's got to win.
- 48:49Not yet, Not yet. He's got to win another title if
- 48:51he wins another. He's got to win.
- 48:52One, he's got the refs on his side.
- 48:53One. More.
- 48:54One more then you got to. You put him up there.
- 48:56One more. That's 4 championships in the
- 48:58time. He's in there if he wins one
- 49:00more for sure. If he wins one more as quick as
- 49:03he has, I would put him there in the top three 100%.
- 49:07Anyways. Thank you to all the fans on
