- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's fuck ya Friday!
- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: Fuck ya!
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: Get ready for some wins!
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: Each week my guess will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it until you see it.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: I bet babe, oh my god, it is the first, it's the first FIF of a new year.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: So happy, not a new year.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: Happy, fucking Friday.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh, if you had to actually go to work, I hope you get the longest weekend cause like why?
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: But you have to go in today.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so if you are new to our podcast and you're dropping on on today.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: This is the short suite and off the cuff episode where I celebrate wins of yours.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and in mind, we can see that like wins exist all the time.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: I actually have something for you guys next week where I'm sharing something that is really like the beat to see it and why well celebrating is so important.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll let inspiration on the one trip.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so I wanted to take the inspiration on day one how this book journey to the heart
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's like one of those like daily meditation books.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: I have three of these.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: And because I'm, I'm more covering over a cheever.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I read three daily to, you know, we're getting there.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: I actually will say one of them I'm almost done with.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't need to reread it.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: We're two of like this one.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: I reread every year.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: So because I miss some days and you gotta, so I'll just explain.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: If you're not watching, so it's one of those things so I'm January one, there's one to read, January two, blah, blah, and she even has one when that's a leap here.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: So it's pretty cool.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I have Gay Hendrix's book, You're a Big leap here, which I love because I love reading his book every single year, and this one feels like I'm reading his book all year long.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: And that's really fun.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: And then I have this other one that's cute and it's sweet, and it's like,
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes it just hits the wrong way, so I'm finishing it and I'm giving it away because I think it'll be good for somebody else.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: Just doesn't hit me right well.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll have to, and then I'm, you've heard that guy, I win as I have a hobby, and one of my hobbies is pulling a daily card and percolating on it on my walk, which I'm, that's like the hoppy that I'm going to start in this new year.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: Once a month, I'm not home yet, so can't do that.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: So January 1,
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: This is what she said, and I wanted to share with you.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: Honor, the beginning, beginnings can be delicate or explosive.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: They can start almost invisibly or arrive with a big bang.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: Beginning's hold, the promise of new lessons to be learned, new territory to be explored, and old lessons to be recalled, practiced, and appreciated.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: The beginning's hold, ambiguity, promise, fear, and hope.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: Don't let the lessons the experience of the past dampen your enthusiasm for beginnings, just because it's been hard, doesn't mean it will always be that difficult.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: Don't let the heart breaks the past cause you to be cynical, close you up to life's magic and promise.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: Open yourself wide to all the universe has to say, let yourself begin a new pack your bags, choose carefully what you bring, because packing is an important ritual.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: take along some humility of the lessons of the past, toss in some curiosity and excitement about what you haven't yet learned.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: Say you're a guy's to those who are leaving behind.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry who you will meet or where you'll go.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: The way has been prepared.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: The people you are to meet will be expecting you.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: A new journey has begun.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: Let it be magical, let it unfold.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: All parts of the journey
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: So that is, for January 1, if you get the book, you can read January 2.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, I make nothing off of it.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: I love this book, Journey to the Heart.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I like to start this episode off each week with something that inspired me.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes it inspires me in a fiery way, and sometimes it inspires me in a way worth reflecting.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: And it's really easy for us as we begin this new year to kind of bring in last year's stuff, right?
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I actually don't believe in New Year, New Year.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: I actually believe in updates and upgrades.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I also actually don't even believe that it starts on the first year.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: You can start at any time.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like, my cell phone has a new update all the time.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, okay, it's a new year for that cell phone.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's a new cycle.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: So whether or not you're coming to this year with excitement and joy of like, what could
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: I do think it's important to recognize beginnings.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think it's good to reflect about what we are unpacking.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like what aren't we taking from last year into this year?
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't mean you're a new person.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: It just means you no longer have that thing.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe that is a physical clean out of something you own or maybe it's a mental letting go, cutting the cord.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: But I do hope that you take some time for that.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's what's so fun about these FYFs.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, each we can be one thing that we let go of or add to.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: And that is an overwhelming, right?
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's not so overwhelming.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: So that's something to think about.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: Winds, I've got some winds that were sent in.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: Shannon, let's move, wrote, in, show big maintenance event on both reformers.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: Old, grease, boogers, gone, new, grease in.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't that so fun, you guys?
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: A wind can just be that you cleaned your reformer
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: On point Pilates Studio Road, got in the hot sauna today, self-care for the win.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's so many different things you could have been doing, right?
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: On point, you could have been like, I could have paid this bill.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: I could check this email, but you're like, no, I'm getting that hot sauna.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: And a team Pilates Road, honestly, I just made it through a challenging week.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's win.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: That is a win.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: Just like, get made it through.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: And it is Friday.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: And you got to the end.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: And so, good on you.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: All right, a win of mine.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: we are still on tour.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: We are on the last days of the tour and my win is I'm still enjoying myself.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still enjoying myself.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think it.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: There's this idea that like if other people have other things going on and there's terrible things happen in the world then I can't have more good.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: and an excellent episode with Brad Bizzjack and one of his courses he actually said, like people said I feel bad wanting to have more when like so many people have less.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: And his response is like nobody wins when you play small.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: I really do appreciate every single one of these stops that we get to do because I know, like, I learn every time I teach.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: Every time I meet people and I teach, like, I learn from the question they ask, I learn from the environment, I learn from looking at their bodies, move, I learn from their learning style, understanding what I'm saying.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like, oh, that's how you talk that, that's so fascinating, that's not what I meant.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I learn from all of that.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: And so,
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: I also love that these pop-ups can come in the middle of a crazy week for someone and can be a positive stop to the chaos and so they're so important to me that that we do them because it can be the positive someone needs, the cut feeling that someone needs.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: I love doing that for people and I love that my win is as I'm still enjoying myself along the way because it is so easy for the questions of aren't you tired?
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I know that those questions are meaningful, but every time someone asks aren't you tired, aren't you tired, aren't you?
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's so easy for the brain to get latch on to that and go, am I tired, am I?
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm having a great time, I'm having a great time and that is my win.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not letting the societal pressures and questions of like I should be tired by now and I, you know, all this different stuff get to me.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm actually allowing myself to be so present and in the moment and enjoy what we put together.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: My team is put together
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: all of the people that have come and the impact we're making like I'm enjoying all of it and that's my way.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: So now you're mantra or today.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: This mantra actually came from an Instagram comment that is a couple, I'll just be honest, it's a couple months back, but you know, we're we're getting it to
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: My body is not my resume.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: My body is not my resume.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: My body is not my resume.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: I love this mantra so much.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: I especially wanted, I saved it for this first FYF because I think the pressures of society, especially with all that's going on is like, you've got to be just thinner and thinner and thinner and my goodness you guys, they want us so busy like distracting ourselves with self-hate and all the stuff that we have to change about ourselves.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: that we aren't noticing all the things are trying to take from us.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: They don't want you playing big because then you will take up their version of the pie.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: There's no pie.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: There's no pie of power.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: There's no pie of money.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: There's no pie of energy.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so take up all the fucking space.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and your body is not a resume.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: So go have a great day.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: Share this with a friend who needs to hear it.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: It would help this podcast grow very, very much.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I hope you're enjoying the series we've got going on.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: We've got some other series coming up and have an amazing day.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: Until next time, be it till you see it.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's all I got for this episode of The Beat Tell You See A Podcast.
