Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_02]: The liberal globalist order is on its brink and awakening a new conservative age.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_02]: Dr. Steve Turley, join me every day as we discover answers to today's toughest challenges and explore the re-bondalization of conservative civilization.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_02]: This is Turley Talks.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: There are moments in American public life when someone says something so clear, so precise and so devastating to the prevailing political narrative that the only honest response is to stop and ask, why nobody in a position of power has been willing to say it out loud before.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: Jeff Bezos just had one of those moments.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Democrats thought he was one of them.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: This interview absolutely devastated that assumption.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: Stick me the very end of this video because we're about to see how one of the richest men on the planet just exposed the Democrats for who and what they really are.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_02]: Hey gang, it's me, Dr. Steve, you're a Patre professor, here to help you make sense of the madness with breaking news and analysis.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to get anywhere else.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_02]: So you know what to do, make sure to smack that bell and subscribe button.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_02]: Amazon founder Jeff Bezos sat down for an interview with Andrew Sorke and on CNBC.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_02]: And in the process, Bezos looked directly at the camera and said something that every Democrat politician running on a tax-therage platform doesn't want you to hear.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think what's going on is that it's kind of a tale of two economies.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: So you have a bunch of people in this country who are doing really well, but you also have a bunch of people in this country who are struggling.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to pay rent, groceries, and so what's happening here is politicians are using the kind of age-old techniques, so there's this tale of two economies, and they're using this age-old technique of picking a villain and pointing fingers.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: But the problem is, that doesn't solve anything.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: And so like if you want to help the group of people who are struggling, if to figure out real root causes and solutions, and that takes skill, you know.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: Now he was responding there directly to New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdoni, who built his entire political platform in the premise.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: that billionaires like Ken Griffin and Jeff Bezos are the read.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: They are the reason why working class New Yorkers cannot afford to live in their own city and Bezos called that out for what it is.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's nothing more than the practice of resentment politics.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's the technical term for it.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, he's right when he says it's an age old political technique, resentment politics goes all the way back to ancient Athens when politicians deliberately sought to deflect popular or resentment away from themselves and project it on to others.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_02]: But what makes our resentment politics so unique.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: is that historically the villain was always some foreigner outside the city, for the Athenians, the villain was Sparta, for the Romans, the villains were Carthage or the Barbarians who lived outside the frontiers.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_02]: Starting in the 1960s, our resentment politics started creating villains
- 3:26[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the Democrat party in a nutshell, it's the party of resentment politics that makes villains of fellow citizens, a basket of deplorals, deplorables, losers, as Biden called them racist, white supremacist, bigots, sexist, phobics, that's the modern-day Democrat party.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: They are addicted to a form of resentment politics that tries to divide the populist and then
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: And and to a certain extent it's been successful.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean the Republican party has basically gone extinct in most cities like Baltimore and Detroit and Memphis and those cities are perfect illustrations at basis is point that resentment politics don't work
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: Again, you're not going to find a more faithful practitioner of resentment, politics rhetoric than in Baltimore politics.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: I spent 10 years in Baltimore.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_02]: Baltimore is as Democrat as it could possibly get, and it is in Trump's immortal words, the very definition of a shithole.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's lost half its population of the last 30 years, so it used to be over a million, now it's barely 500,000.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't do anything to help the constituents that still live there.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: Your rhetoric of resentment just creates a permanent clientele that forever wallow in social misery.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: Their every bit is poor.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_02]: They are more poor as they ever were in the city as a whole undeniably de case, but Bayzos wasn't through.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: And Elizabeth Warren has made this point of view that thinks he's made a reference to you and others Are able to pay a lower tax rate even though you're paying an enormous Southern in taxes a lower tax rate.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Well, then so maybe I am this people
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes say that, you know, I don't pay taxes, that's true.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: I pay billions of dollars in taxes, and it's a pertinent, again, if people want me to pay more billions, right, then let's have that debate, but don't pretend, you know, that that's going to solve the problem.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: You could double the taxes, I pay, and it's not going to help that teacher in Queens.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: I promise you, this is, so you can't connect those two things, not logically.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: And we should know that Basos actually went on to advocate that the bottom half of the American income earners.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: So every working class, family, every teacher, every truck driver, every nurse, every tradesperson, they should pay zero in federal income tax.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: Zero.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: Because in the end for Basos, the problem is not our tax system.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_02]: The problem is the incompetence of government itself.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: So doubling his own tax bill isn't going to solve anything when tax revenue is not itself the problem.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_02]: The fundamental fiscal problem of the United States government is not that it collects too little revenue.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_02]: But that it spends with a reckless abandon and an inefficiency that no private institution could possibly survive.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: Good example.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: The New York City school system, right?
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: They spend $44,000 per student, 44,000.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's 30% more per student than other big cities like Chicago, LA, and Boston.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: And it's three times more than Miami and Houston.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, New York City doesn't get better outcomes.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: So let me just say, if we ran Amazon, the way New York City runs their school system, your packages would take six weeks to arrive.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: We'd have to charge you $100 delivery fee, and then when the package did finally arrive, it had the wrong item entered anyway.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_02]: Bingo.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_02]: That was so good.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_02]: If Amazon operated the way Mamdoni's public school system operated, consuming $44,000 per student per year, your package would take six weeks to arrive.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: It would cost $100 to deliver and it's still show up with the wrong item.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: The problem with government isn't tax revenue.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_02]: The problem is the incompetence of those who govern us.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's the system itself.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: The corrupt inefficient, bloated, outdated, parasitic system of government under Democrat management, or dare I say mismanagement.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: Make no mistake.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: You'll notice that that interview.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_02]: is happening in one of the reddest states in the nation, Florida.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: Bezos moved to Florida back in 2023, deliberately turning his back on the managerial incompetence of blue states.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: Again, it's not a coincidence.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_02]: that he's slamming New York City's failing schools.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_02]: They're just going to continue to fail under Mamdoni because he's not offering any actual solutions to his own government's incompetence.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why, for me, what Bezos said next is the best observation of the mall.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: America's divide is being fueled by the legacy media.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure you're all fully aware of how
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: selective coverage and bias framing shape, how people see the news before they ever get a full picture.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: What's presented is neutral reporting, often steers perception, instead of surfacing all the facts.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_02]: Millions are realizing that news is broken, and luckily there's a solution that helps you see what's being emphasized, ignored or spun, and that's ground news.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_02]: Ground news pulls headlines from over
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: 50,000 new sources and makes it easier to understand what's actually happening.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: You can see the political bias of each outlet insights like reliability and outlet ownership and how coverage breaks down.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: across the spectrum.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: That's why over a million people have downloaded Ground News.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: Check it out for yourself at Ground.News slash Steve.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: My favorite feature is the blind spot feed.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: It shows you which stories are blowing up on one side of the aisle, but barely mentioned on the other.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's the clearest way to see media bias and action.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_02]: So here is an example of a story barely getting any traction on the left.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's a story about a Canadian American.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: who help run a network moving migrants from Canada into New York, earning roughly a thousand dollars per illegal migrant.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: The operation was linked to the deaths of nine people, including two children, according to court filings.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, the media is ignoring this because it shatters their open borders narrative.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: Now the right has their blind spots as well, but now you'll know with every story ground news shows you the entire spectrum of who's reporting from left, right, and center how reliable each source is and who owns each outlet.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's everything the corporate press
- 10:56[SPEAKER_02]: doesn't want you to see and right now you can get 40% off the vanage plan, which gives you unlimited access to all the features I personally use for about $5 per month, just visit ground.news slash Steve, click the link in the description or scan the QR code that's ground.news slash Steve.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: If I do my job right, right, the value to society and civilization from my for profit
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: will be much, much larger.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: All right, then the good that I do with my child will give it.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I think this is an important point to make because people forget or they sometimes don't see that when you create something like Amazon and you're saving it, I get letters from new mothers all the time that say like, I have no idea what I would be doing right now if I didn't have Amazon, thank you.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: Or what we did in the pandemic when people could really see what an essential service we provided to them.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, this is, um, Amazon creates, from its film.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, all companies are creating value of some kind of stuff.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_02]: What Basis just said there provides a profound window in what scholars refer to as the emerging
- 12:13[SPEAKER_02]: techno-political order or techno-polarity, techno-polarity describes a new kind of politics, a configuration of global power, in which a small number of technologically sovereign actors like Bezos and Elon Musk,
- 12:29[SPEAKER_02]: Jensen Wong of Nvidia and Peter T. on others, individuals and enterprises whose control over critical digital infrastructure, logistics, communications, space access, it literally gives them civilizational reach and that reach is structurally independent of in many cases surpasses the reach of governments.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_02]: Bezos and Elon Musk are the two clearest exemplars of this techno-polar order on Earth right now and what separates them from every other billionaire and histories not merely their wealth, but the nature of what they've built.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: Amazon doesn't just sell products, it runs the cloud infrastructure on which the CIA, the Pentagon, and dozens of allied governments operate.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's the logistical circulatory system of the American economy, delivering to more households more reliably than the United States Postal Service.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_02]: Blue Origin is competing for dominance in the Sizz Lunar Economy that the next generation of geopolitical competition would be decided, and known as astropolitics.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: Musk, meanwhile, controls the satellite, internet backbone, literally the Ukrainian military, the dominant electric vehicle platform, and the AI and neural interface frontier simultaneously.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: These are not businessmen.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_02]: In the historic sense of the term, they're not even merely billionaires.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_02]: They are civilizational architects, and when Bezos says his for-profit work delivers more value to civilization than his charitable giving, he is describing whether he uses the vocabulary or not, the core inside of techno polarity.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: That the most consequential actors in the 21st century order are not heads of state or fledgling mayors of New York.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: They're the visionaries and the effective builders of civilizational infrastructure.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: This is precisely why the Democrat party's instinct to cast them as villains is not merely bad economics, it's a civilizational category error.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_02]: You can't tax your way to the logistical network that Fed America through a pandemic.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_02]: You can't regulate your way to a reusable rocket that makes humanity a multi-planetary civilization.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_02]: The new techno-political sovereigns are not the problem.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: They are as baseless and self-just told us.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_02]: They are the most powerful value creation engine civilizations ever produced.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: And the political order that figures that out first will win the 21st century.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: Now, just to be clear on this, techno-polarity does not negate government power.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: In fact,
- 15:13[SPEAKER_02]: What we're finding is that governments and techno entrepreneurs are actually teeming up more and more particularly in the field of outer space and astro politics, but it's primarily here in the states.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's primarily a partnership that we see like with President Trump or with red state governors.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: They're all openly recognizing the civilizational promise of that techno-polar partnership.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: By contrast, the Democrat party's governing philosophy redistribute wealth and punish success and expand government dependency, finding new villain every election cycle, it's not merely a policy disagreement.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's increasingly a structural impossibility in this new world that's rising.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_02]: It simply cannot produce the outcomes.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_02]: It promises because it's built on a fundamentally false theory of how human societies generate prosperity.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_02]: The technological sovereigns of the 21st century, Bezos, Musk, the builders of the new civilization infrastructure did not become what they are by finding villains.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: They became what they are by solving problems at scale with discipline, with relentless accountability to results.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's the model.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_02]: That's what works.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: And the contrast with the political party that spent the last 50 years doing the exact opposite has never been more visible, has never been more documented, and it's never been more impossible to explain away.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_02]: And none other than Jeff Bezos just gave us the proof.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_02]: gang before you go I have to tell you.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_02]: Something specials coming this summer for our community and Atlanta is going to be the place to be.
