  which turned out to be the final Catch Pro that we will see now

  That said, the show in question, while I try and get the card,

  was Catch. We don't promote chaos.

  We deserve it. And I do like Catch's show

  titles because they almost feel like they make no sense at all.

  It's like they've just clocked it from like a book and just

  what, yeah, we'll we'll call the show that.

  Whereas it's saying that it's still better than Future Shock,

  whatever the hell that show was, it's it annoys me that that much
• 1:14
  that show title. But I they've blocked out my
• 1:17
  memory now. That's how I hate it.

  Never do another show like that Future shock get a proper title.

  And with that, we relax the opening.

  So Scott Olbermann taking on Ettenstein and this was one of
• 1:40
  the actually one of many matches that I was looking forward to.

  I'll jump, I'll jump the gun for this one.

  This, this was the match for me because these are two talents
• 2:00
  that I really, really love watching.

  Scott Auberman, one of my favourite wrestlers, as much as

  I hate the guy for being an Everton fan, I just love him as
• 2:12
  a wrestler. He's fantastic.
• 2:14
  And Eitanstein, you cannot hate Eitanstein.

  Eitanstein is a gem. Like Eitan is just one of them
• 2:23
  talents that you think every time you see Eitan on a show.

  Like while they're very, very good and like, you can not hate
• 2:32
  Ayton as a person. I've not managed to speak to
• 2:35
  Ayton but he just, he just seemed like a lovely, lovely
• 2:39
  person. He is I've I've chatted to him a
• 2:43
  couple of times, very creative and I think that shows in his
• 2:51
  ring work as well. He's not pigeon holed, he he can
• 2:58
  do a number of things. He can wrestle, he can brawl, he
• 3:03
  can do death matches, he can do a lot of different kind of
• 3:09
  wrestling styles. He's an all rounder is another
• 3:13
  way to put it. But this match seems to be
• 3:20
  centred around Steen being a crazy mofo.
• 3:27
  As Olbermann saying, I just wrestle, you like to take
• 3:31
  chances, you can crash and burn. I don't.
• 3:39
  And that's kind of how this match really went.
• 3:41
  Olbermann was literally just doing the wrestling.
• 3:46
  Steen was happy to do all these kind of like crazy spots at
• 3:50
  times. Jumping off the the desk where
• 3:56
  all the like the electrical things are and doing a spinning
• 4:03
  kind of like crossbody Corkscrew nearly hit me in the process at
• 4:09
  one point, which would have been would have been interesting.
• 4:14
  A very back and forth contest this no one really had the the
• 4:19
  upper hand. It's not always seem to.
• 4:24
  When it got wrestling based, he seems to be more in control, but
• 4:28
  when it came to trying to like take chances or trying to do
• 4:35
  something a bit mad, Steen always seems to just have the
• 4:43
  rug pulled from under him. Kind of how this match ended,
• 4:48
  Steen went to do a Hurricane Rana on Oberman off the top
• 4:52
  rope. Olbermann catches him and hits
• 4:56
  one of the nastiest power bombs I've seen for a while.

  Because he didn't fully land on his back, he kind of wanted more
• 5:09
  like heart tailbone, part side of his body crumbled up
• 5:17
  effectively. Olbermann then hits the ride,
• 5:21
  the Lightning for the 123. I was wait, I was waiting for
• 5:28
  for steam to kick out of that to be fair, to do the spirit of the
• 5:33
  Blues. But we we never got it.

  We we were denied it. So damn you, Scott.

  But yeah, Olbermann takes victory in the opening contest.

  What were our thoughts on this? So I think it was a good way to
• 5:56
  start off. This was only my second ever
• 6:01
  Catch show. I went to the previous one
• 6:05
  Hostile before this, and Ayrton Steen was in the opening contest
• 6:10
  of that as well. So I think in the Catch
• 6:14
  universe, Einstein is always a reliable name to immediately get
• 6:20
  the crowd hooked in and ready for the night of action.

  And just as you guys said, two amazing workers and everything.

  I don't think I can add much more.

  It would just a really solid match, probably not the best
• 6:41
  match these two could have done together, but they weren't
• 6:45
  trying to do that. They were just trying to create
• 6:48
  a really good opening contest and I think they really
• 6:54
  succeeded. It was a really entertaining
• 6:56
  match. Miles.

  I enjoyed this match because the risks Satan was taken.

  I love the bit where he did the suicide dive through the rope
• 7:06
  and then Oberman just slides to the left and then eight and just
• 7:10
  crashes and burns into like the catch pro like reps And it was
• 7:16
  just such a good spot. And I think what did Oberman
• 7:19
  say? I should start moving more or
• 7:22
  something like that. It was the fact that when he
• 7:27
  went flying through, when he went down for the rope stain and
• 7:34
  we just saw like crashing and burning and Scott kind of looked
• 7:39
  over towards our section and just pulled a whoops.

  Cameron says it all really old woman.

  When he does his kind of slight comedy bit of oh, did I do that
• 7:53
  is he shouldn't be funny, but he is Miles.

  I feel like if these two did a false count anywhere match, it
• 8:06
  would fit both of them perfectly.

  If it was a false count match anywhere, maybe another catch

  pro show. I feel like these two would know
• 8:16
  how to work a false count match anywhere to fit both of their
• 8:19
  styles because Ayton likes to use the environment of any venue
• 8:24
  that he's in. So to put them to in a false car
• 8:27
  anywhere much I would like to see Olbermann like try hit like
• 8:31
  a ride the lightning to Ayton when he's jumping off any mad
• 8:37
  object that you can find, because that would make a
• 8:39
  fantastic spot. As soon as you said that, it
• 8:44
  just made me think of is is Steen kind of like catch his
• 8:50
  version of Derby Allen of just doing crazy, crazy stuff?

  Yeah. The thing is though, I can

  imagine Ayton and enjoy it as well.

  But we moved on from the opener to the start of the second where

  Mr Ian Skinner came out sarcastically applauding

  Atenstein as he made his way back through the curtain trying
• 9:26
  to rile the the locals and ended up with Steen basically low
• 9:35
  blowing Skinner in the balls, which drew one of the biggest
• 9:41
  cheers of the night. And Skinner's kind of face and
• 9:48
  how he kind of took that blow was equally as funny.
• 9:54
  He's and he managed to work that mostly through this match as
• 9:58
  well, even nipping to the back for about 30 seconds and coming
• 10:04
  out with a bag of ice just to put on down there.

  But as I say that he was in the next match, which was a fourth
• 10:15
  corner survival match involving Ian Skinner, Vusic, Brady
• 10:23
  Phillips and Troy Ryan. All this, this had a lot going
• 10:34
  on. I've not wrote as many notes on
• 10:40
  this because there is far too much going on, but it did seem
• 10:47
  to be a case of Ryan and Brady were the main 2 in this match.

  Or that's how it kind of came about.

  Vusic is just a machine showing everyone his technical skills.

  Skinner spent a lot of the time cradling these balls after
• 11:10
  getting low blown. Skinner doing what he does best
• 11:15
  of trying to cause friction between people.

  I'm trying to think he says something to Brady and then I
• 11:28
  think he looks at try and he says, oh, you're A tag wrestler,
• 11:32
  not a singles wrestler, and then effectively just gets wiped out,
• 11:39
  which is always fun. There was AI think we had a chop
• 11:46
  competition at one point where it was like it was like a game
• 11:52
  of tag, but chops where everyone had to chop the other person.

  I think for a good, I know 90 seconds.

  The only offence we saw was chops from everyone in this
• 12:06
  match apart from Ian, bless him. What else did we have?

  We had a massive lariat from Brady Phillips.

  I think he hit on Vusic. Yeah, he was big.

  The the. Highlight or not the highlight,
• 12:29
  but one of the memorable moments in this match was when Vusic had
• 12:36
  Troy Ryan in a elevated Boston crab and I think it was Phillips
• 12:44
  that was laying in the ring and you expected Ryan to kind of
• 12:50
  crawl towards the ring ropes and instead just ended up crawling
• 12:56
  on top of. I want to say it was Brady, but
• 12:59
  I have a feeling it was Skinner. He went over one of the two at
• 13:03
  least and got A2 count before Vusic realised what was going
• 13:08
  on. So he had someone in a Boston
• 13:11
  crab really and nearly won the match because he was pinning
• 13:17
  someone while still in the submission hold, which I have
• 13:22
  never seen before but I would love to see again because it was
• 13:25
  a great little spot. Then it kind of just degenerated
• 13:32
  into chaos. Ryan hits the fall of Troy on
• 13:39
  Phillips for the victory. This was a whole lot of fun and
• 13:46
  we will come to Sam first. Yeah.

  Just to piggyback on what you said about that spot, one of the
• 13:55
  people I will with watching this Michael over my shoulder head
• 14:01
  and say I've never heard more people in the ring just murmur
• 14:07
  to each other. That was in the unique spot that
• 14:09
  that was a good spot. But yeah, it was a really
• 14:17
  entertaining contest throughout it seems like, though, first of
• 14:25
  all, I don't know what a four corner survival even is like the
• 14:28
  stipulation. Or way much they just what's the

  term they say sexed it up. I didn't enjoy that the gimmick

  name just survival match. You think of like an elimination
• 14:40
  star match. It was pointless naming it a
• 14:43
  four corner survival match. Absolute crap.

  It also felt like it this isn't a criticism, this is a

  compliment, but it's a kind of like I could see what they were

  put together for spinning plates because not to spoil at the end

  of the show, but after the show it ended, they threw up a card

  for the next show for their anniversary show and a bunch of

  these men were put together in singles matches instead and so

  it. Has changed.

  Yeah, yeah, it has changed so it so this match felt like OK we're

  seeing, you know, getting used to working together so we can

  have the singles matches at the next show.

  But yeah, I think all four proper delivered.

  It would just like, you know, I kind of wish Vusic and Phillips

  was in the hostile tournament almost because they would just

  they seem to fit the, you know, the namesake of it really well

  This was my first time seeing Phillips compete and I

  definitely want to look out for more times because he was really

  good in this match. Think he was the stand out of

  I enjoy Phillips, Phillips is a shit house.

  I know I was giving him shit in that match.

  It was just me chanting to him and love how he just said I'm

  the only one chanting. In in fairness, the only other

  person we know that does this is John that wears the Bolton

  shirt. But he had a very valid reason

  why he was not chanting because he'd been food poisoned and did

  actually say beforehand that I feel OK, But I, it's going to

  he felt very quiet all night and that was why he was particularly

  something that Molly does on every show, but I've seen it

  twice now where she comes out first and will effectively

  bollock the announcer for some reason, whether they've got the

  wrong name or if not announced her properly and she gets very

  irate. And you definitely would not

  want to get on the wrong side of Molly.

  So Daddy properly decides to get out of the ring to save his soul

  because I think it might have left him if it stayed in there a
• 25:57
  bit longer with Molly. So we have Ellie Taylor, who

  made her debut Spartan. I don't know if this was her

  debut or. Pretty sure it was as well.

  Yeah, I was trying to think if she'd been on an early one, but

  I don't think she had. And of course, Lily went to the

  number one contender for the women's title.

  So we started off with effectively the if you want to

  say the two horses in this match in Spartan and Taylor.

  Every time winter seemed to kind of get involved, Spartan would

  just palm her off and say go away little girl, let the let
• 26:47
  the the real women kind of fight.

  At this point Winter goes hit a double drop kick which the term

  got a piece of them is probably the best way to to summarise the
• 27:08
  offence does it again knocks them both down.

  Then we have Taylor and Spartan fighting out in the crowd.

  It was brought up as well on Augie's podcast that a lot of

  this show did seem to have the the matches going out into the
• 27:30
  crowd. It never dawned on me at the

  time, but there was quite often they went into the crowd during

  this show. I'll leave that there for a

  possibly later. Taylor and Spartan fight at the

  bar, then Taylor locks Spartan out.

  Somehow. Molly returns them to just fight

  it out again. Lily Winter then goes all

  Atenstein and climbs the bar hits AI don't know if it was a

  clothesline or it could have been a drop kick but she does a

  AA move to not both of them. This brings Lucy Skye walking up

  to her with the title I think she goes to hit Lily but hits

  Taylor. I couldn't see fully at this

  point because I had everyone had kind of like surrounded the
• 28:34
  action so I didn't see a whole lot of what was going on.

  But Sky does the kind of like tiptoeing away from Taylor with
• 28:47
  a whoops I shouldn't have done that locking face.

  Then the match carries on, everything goes back to the ring

  ends up with Lilly Winter taking victory hitting the Frostbite

  which is effective like Skull Crushing Finale for those that

  do not know, offering Russian Leg Sweep as it used to be

  called. All the Stroke if you're a Jeff

  Jarrett fan from WCW, Lily Winter wins, and I'll come to

  that stipulation in a in a tiny bit.

  But what did we think of the match?

  I enjoyed it. I first time seen Molly Spartan.

  I enjoyed her work. I love the bit where she told

  Stevie to get off the chair. Can you get off the chair,

  please, love? And then just absolutely like

  flattens Ellie Taylor on the chair and then after the chair

  comes back to Stevie. But you can see that the chair

  legs gone and it was absolutely comedy.

  It was just a thing of shouting at everyone, like get out of my

  way. And when it was Steve, it's just

  And Stevie just being Stevie, just going OK.

  Anyone else you feel that they're just going to get like

  we didn't even know the Lucy Sky had gotten involved in the

  match. We didn't know she were there

  because she blended in. We only know what had happened

  by the time she had already hit LA Taylor.

  This was my first time seeing LA Taylor and Molly Spartan.

  I really liked you know what I saw what we could see.

  That is how little we got. I will say I do feel like,

  because I do feel like with catch when it comes to the

  matches in the middle of the cards, they do like to do the
• 32:18
  thing where it's not where it's entirely not in the ring.

  Because back at Hosfest, Declan McCarthy versus Joe Kessler, I

  want to say was the semi final match and they it was pretty

  much the same sort of thing where they spent a minute in the

  ring and then the rest of the match was all out the ring until

  the pin basically. So well, it's a formula that

  works because that I think is one of the best matches I've

  seen all year. And this had a similar structure

  where it was just a bunch of brawling and unique spots

  without the confines of the ring.

  I think Lucy Skye has been fined by the G Mac Association for a

  striking because she was considered, you know, an

  audience member because she she bought the ticket.

  So for her in one of the talent, I think she's been fined.

  Never seen Kevin Russell in person, was very impressed if

  truth be told because he's very much a technical wrestler

  whereas Big T is more of a brawler and it was a contrasting

  of styles or a classic styles if you prefer.

  enjoyed the style of Big T clashing with Kev Lloyd because

  I love when Kev was just trying to work Big T, he just couldn't

  Big T just started to get more frustrated with Kevin like when

  he just threw him into the corner and slapped the crap out

  of him. That shot that he did to Kev

  Like I love the technical ability that Kev was trying to

  do to Big T. Like when he eventually got him

  the facts like, all right, he yeah, he is a credible

  storytelling of the arm specifically and Big T selling,

  you know, looking at I didn't think that big T like it's

  weird. There wasn't any like danger in

  my mind of a Big T dropping the title, but it made a compelling

  to fight you. And for a brawl, this was a

  really good brawl. You feel we're going to get a

  basically going back and forth, pulling the other one back in

  and then punches Proper begins raining punches down on him.
