- 0:00Speaker 1: 27, 11 through 14. There you will find the word
- 0:05Speaker 1: of the Lord. And we're jumping right into the middle
- 0:21Speaker 1: of all hell breaking loose. Jesus, the Messiah of Jerusalem,
- 0:32Speaker 1: has fallen into the hands of a Roman governor who
- 0:39Speaker 1: is about to make a decision about his life. Kingdoms
- 0:43Speaker 1: are colliding with kingdoms. Disciples are running. People are scattering.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Nobody is sure. They have interpreted the scriptures differently. expecting
- 0:58Speaker 1: God to do one thing, only to realize that even
- 1:02Speaker 1: the scriptures did not fully articulate the method that God
- 1:08Speaker 1: was going to move. They had seen the Messiah and
- 1:15Speaker 1: the prophets had prophesied it, but no prophecies came through
- 1:20Speaker 1: about the cross. Now Jesus is headed for the cross.
- 1:26Speaker 1: And you know how people scatter when you become controversial.
- 1:34Speaker 1: They with you when you're going up. But if you
- 1:37Speaker 1: become controversial, if there's too much talk at the kitchen table,
- 1:41Speaker 1: in the family reunion, in the barbershop, people start getting away.
- 1:44Speaker 1: They just leave. So they scattered. The 5,000 were gone.
- 1:49Speaker 1: The woman with the issue of blood is gone. All
- 1:52Speaker 1: of the people, the 10 lepers are gone. Everybody's gone
- 1:55Speaker 1: their own way. And Jesus is standing trial before a governor.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Matthew 27 and 11. And Jesus stood before the governor.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Oh, I love it.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Stood straight up. Stood right in.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Front of him. And the governor asked him saying, are
- 2:17Speaker 2: thou king of the Jews?
- 2:20Speaker 1: And Jesus said unto him, thou sayest, Jesus, don't tell
- 2:25Speaker 1: me that Jesus didn't get smart. Jesus got smart in handcuffs.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Thou sayest, and when he was accused of the chief
- 2:38Speaker 1: priest and the eldest, he answered nothing.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Here's how many things they witness against thee. And he
- 2:54Speaker 2: answered him never a.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Word.
- 2:59Speaker 2: And he answered him never a word.
- 3:05Speaker 1: In so much that the governor scratched his head. He's
- 3:12Speaker 1: not trying to get out of it. He's not trying
- 3:15Speaker 1: to get away from it. He's not trying to get
- 3:18Speaker 1: away from it. The governor marveled greatly because Jesus says
- 3:28Speaker 1: nothing at all. And the governor marveled greatly, not at
- 3:35Speaker 1: the wisdom, but at the silence. Can you hear what
- 3:44Speaker 1: I'm saying to you? I want to use a subject today.
- 3:49Speaker 1: The theology of quietness. The theology, the theos, God quiet,
- 4:01Speaker 1: the theology of quietness, or if I were to use
- 4:08Speaker 1: a subtopic, the silence of the lamb. Spirit of the
- 4:17Speaker 1: living God falls fresh on us today as we embark
- 4:19Speaker 1: upon your word. Help me to complete my assignment effectively
- 4:23Speaker 1: and skillfully that I might be seen doing what you
- 4:26Speaker 1: called me to do in this last and evil day.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I thank you, Lord, for what you shared with me
- 4:32Speaker 1: and what you're going to do. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
- 4:37Speaker 1: You may be seated in the presence of God. It
- 4:42Speaker 1: reads like, you may be laughing, it reads like two
- 4:48Speaker 1: men are having a discussion. But that is very superficial.
- 4:55Speaker 1: The veneer of the text looks like there is a
- 4:58Speaker 1: controversy between two men, two powers, two authorities. It looks
- 5:08Speaker 1: like one has dominated the other, but that is just
- 5:13Speaker 1: the veneer of the text. Most people, when they read
- 5:18Speaker 1: the Bible, preach from the veneer of the text without
- 5:24Speaker 1: going down to the solidarity of the wood beneath. The
- 5:30Speaker 1: carpenter's son has worked his way up from obscurity to notoriety.
- 5:37Speaker 1: And notoriety always costs you something. Y'all don't hear what
- 5:42Speaker 1: I'm saying. People don't talk about who they don't notice.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Give it up for Michael Collier. God bless you. Good
- 5:52Speaker 1: to see you.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:56Speaker 1: If I can't pull this message, you get up and
- 5:58Speaker 1: tell some jokes. We're going to be okay. He has
- 6:03Speaker 1: the responsibility of standing hand, head, and shoulders above other
- 6:09Speaker 1: men in what he was able to do.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Unlike Saul, it's not that Jesus is tall. His work
- 6:15Speaker 2: is tall.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It is impactful work. And it's doing something. And it's
- 6:21Speaker 1: stirring up something. And it has created a problem. A
- 6:25Speaker 1: multi-pronged problem. He is not fully accepted by the religious
- 6:31Speaker 1: leaders of his time.
- 6:32Speaker 2: In fact, they hated him.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Religion always hates revelations. So if you're going to be
- 6:45Speaker 1: a preacher and move in faith and you have not
- 6:48Speaker 1: gotten healed from your need to be liked, run. Don't walk, run.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Because if you are not disliked, you are unnoticed. While
- 7:05Speaker 1: some are running to you, some are going to be
- 7:06Speaker 1: running from you. That's the nature of the job. It
- 7:09Speaker 1: happened to Jesus. It's going to happen to you. You
- 7:11Speaker 1: can't tiptoe around it and try to be so nice
- 7:15Speaker 1: that you don't make no waves because you were called
- 7:19Speaker 1: to make waves. You were called to. Stir up stuff
- 7:25Speaker 1: you were called to get on people's nerves. Don't take
- 7:28Speaker 1: it personally because it is not really two men bantering
- 7:32Speaker 1: over an issue. It is two kingdoms. The kingdoms are
- 7:40Speaker 1: in conflict in the text.
- 7:43Speaker 2: It is the.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light. that it's
- 7:50Speaker 1: working in the underpinning of the story. You're praying about
- 7:54Speaker 1: your story, but you don't understand there's a warfare going
- 7:57Speaker 1: on beneath your story. You're praying about the details. I'm
- 8:02Speaker 1: talking about the strategy. You're talking to God about the inconvenience,
- 8:10Speaker 1: but you're not getting to the under fact that Satan
- 8:13Speaker 1: has a plot against you, that he has a plot
- 8:17Speaker 1: against you, and the kingdoms are in conflict. Not only
- 8:21Speaker 1: are the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness
- 8:23Speaker 1: in conflict, you have the Roman sovereign colonialization that was
- 8:30Speaker 1: done then and still being done now to take over
- 8:33Speaker 1: new territories, and we have before us A pilot who
- 8:38Speaker 1: is a governor of a colony whereby Rome is spreading
- 8:43Speaker 1: and taking authority over Jerusalem. Yeah, taking authority, taking authority.
- 8:49Speaker 1: It is not Rome, but it's under Rome. You are
- 8:55Speaker 1: not the enemies, but you can be under the enemy's attack,
- 9:00Speaker 1: under the enemy's control. There was a little boy in
- 9:04Speaker 1: the airport and he was on his father's shoulders and
- 9:07Speaker 1: he had him by the ears and he said, daddy
- 9:09Speaker 1: go left and the daddy went left and he turned
- 9:12Speaker 1: his ears and said, daddy go right and the daddy
- 9:14Speaker 1: went right. The boy had not possessed him but he
- 9:19Speaker 1: was on him and had oppressed him. It is not
- 9:23Speaker 1: so much that Satan is possessing you but he's trying
- 9:28Speaker 1: to control you. Control your peace and control your reactions
- 9:35Speaker 1: and control how you respond and control how you feel.
- 9:38Speaker 1: And this is a battle for control. Power against power.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Leader against leader. Magistrate against magistrate. And we have a
- 9:49Speaker 1: governor questioning a king. What kind of madness is that?
- 9:58Speaker 1: That the governor representing Rome which means he wasn't a
- 10:03Speaker 1: very great governor because Rome has sent him to a
- 10:07Speaker 1: detail that was not highly respected and thrown him down
- 10:11Speaker 1: in Jerusalem and their little people always try to be
- 10:15Speaker 1: big oh I'm preaching way better than y'all shall. Little people,
- 10:23Speaker 1: you give a little person a title and you got
- 10:26Speaker 1: hell to pay. And Herod has a little title and
- 10:33Speaker 1: he's standing up here questioning the king of kings and
- 10:38Speaker 1: the Lord of lords. He's questioning the ancient of days.
- 10:43Speaker 1: The creator is being tested by the creations. And he's
- 10:52Speaker 1: questioning him under duress because his wife on one hand, women,
- 10:58Speaker 1: thank you for being sensitive and intuitive, has had a
- 11:01Speaker 1: dream and told him, you got to be careful about
- 11:03Speaker 1: this Jesus thing because it's not what it appears to be.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I had a dream in the night and it's going
- 11:08Speaker 1: to cause you some trouble. I'm telling you something, I
- 11:10Speaker 1: cannot prove it by the Bible, but there's something in women.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I don't know whether it's a chip. I don't know
- 11:16Speaker 1: whether it's a device, but there is something in women.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I won't say y'all always right, I ain't gonna give
- 11:23Speaker 1: you that much. But you all do have a metal detector.
- 11:30Speaker 1: And Herod's wife had told him, this is not what
- 11:33Speaker 1: it appears to be. There's something working up under this
- 11:37Speaker 1: and you got to be careful how you handle this
- 11:40Speaker 1: Jesus thing, which led to Herod washing his hands with
- 11:44Speaker 1: water because he didn't want the blood of Jesus on
- 11:48Speaker 1: his hands because his wife had kind of shook him up,
- 11:51Speaker 1: telling him, you don't want to get in this mess.
- 11:53Speaker 1: There are some messes you don't take on. You don't
- 11:56Speaker 1: get in every fight. You don't get in every storm.
- 11:59Speaker 1: You don't get in every test. You don't get in
- 12:03Speaker 1: every situation. And so you got that dynamic going on.
- 12:07Speaker 1: And there he is testing the king of kings and
- 12:10Speaker 1: the lord of lords and the mighty God and the
- 12:12Speaker 1: everlasting father and the prince of peace. He is talking
- 12:15Speaker 1: to the I am like he ain't. He is talking
- 12:24Speaker 1: to his creator as if he has power over his creator.
- 12:30Speaker 1: He is talking to him like Jesus is subservient. He
- 12:35Speaker 1: is talking to him like he has power over Jesus' future.
- 12:42Speaker 1: And then shock because Jesus does not answer a word.
- 12:48Speaker 1: And it is hard for you to conceive it because
- 12:51Speaker 1: there are three things that the enemy is after. I
- 12:53Speaker 1: want you to get these down.
- 12:54Speaker 3: They're very important.
- 12:56Speaker 1: The reasons. He is doing what he's doing to you.
- 13:02Speaker 1: It's because he's after your power. He's after your power
- 13:08Speaker 1: until you don't know who you are. He wouldn't be
- 13:13Speaker 1: fighting you if you didn't have power. He's after your power.
- 13:19Speaker 1: He's after your purpose. And he's after your prowess. Yes.
- 13:25Speaker 1: your abilities, your talents, your skill, the way you do
- 13:29Speaker 1: what you do and the way that you do it.
- 13:32Speaker 1: He hates the way you can get it done. He
- 13:34Speaker 1: hates the way how people are influenced by you. He
- 13:38Speaker 1: does not want your power. He does not want your purpose.
- 13:41Speaker 1: And he does not want your prowess. So anything he
- 13:45Speaker 1: can do to destroy your prowess, he will do it.
- 13:48Speaker 1: If it's keep you up at night, if it makes
- 13:50Speaker 1: you walk the floor in the middle of the night,
- 13:52Speaker 1: if it's oppress your mind, if it's break your heart,
- 13:55Speaker 1: If it's break relationships. If it's worrying you to death
- 13:59Speaker 1: about situations you cannot control. Anything he can do to
- 14:03Speaker 1: incarcerate you, he's doing it because of your power. He's
- 14:09Speaker 1: doing it because of your purpose. And he's doing it
- 14:12Speaker 1: because of your prowess. Because over time, he wants you
- 14:16Speaker 1: to lose your prowess. Where you don't have that thing,
- 14:20Speaker 1: that thing, that nebulous thing, that prowess that makes you
- 14:24Speaker 1: do what you do like you do it. The way
- 14:27Speaker 1: you think, the way you function, the way you drive,
- 14:30Speaker 1: the way you move. He's after your prowess. He wants
- 14:34Speaker 1: to beat you down to your only a shadow of
- 14:37Speaker 1: what you could be. He's after your prowess. That's why
- 14:40Speaker 1: you were molested. That's why you were raped. That's why
- 14:43Speaker 1: you were rejected. That's why you were ostracized. The enemy
- 14:47Speaker 1: wouldn't have let you go through whatever you went through
- 14:49Speaker 1: if it were not for your power. Your purpose and
- 14:54Speaker 1: your prowess. He wants you to be crippled. He wants
- 14:57Speaker 1: you to be needy. He wants you to be shattered.
- 15:00Speaker 1: He wants you to be independent or codependent. He wants
- 15:04Speaker 1: you to be at your wit's end. He wants you
- 15:06Speaker 1: to have no confidence in yourself because he's after your power.
- 15:10Speaker 1: He's after your purpose. He's after your prowess. He's after
- 15:14Speaker 1: your what? What? What?
- 15:19Speaker 2: Say it again. Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
- 15:24Speaker 1: That's the sum total of what you need to get
- 15:28Speaker 1: through this world. You're going to need some power. You're
- 15:31Speaker 1: going to need some purpose. You're going to need some prowess.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Prowess is what sets you apart from every other man
- 15:40Speaker 1: in the room. Prowess is what makes you unique and
- 15:43Speaker 1: nobody can duplicate you. They can imitate you, but they
- 15:48Speaker 1: can't duplicate you because your prowess is as unique as
- 15:53Speaker 1: your DNA. Your prowess, the way you do what you
- 15:56Speaker 1: do when you do it, like you do it, that's
- 16:00Speaker 1: your prowess. And he wants to take it away from you.
- 16:05Speaker 1: And he wants to break you down. And he wants
- 16:07Speaker 1: to make you subservient. And he wants to make you submit.
- 16:10Speaker 1: And he wants to make you answer to him. And
- 16:13Speaker 1: he wants to make you obey him. Because in so doing,
- 16:16Speaker 1: if you answer him, you also acknowledge him as being
- 16:21Speaker 1: the greater power. There are some things you don't answer to.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I don't care how many times they say it, when
- 16:33Speaker 1: you know you're not that, don't answer to it. If
- 16:37Speaker 1: your name is Susie and I'm calling you Mary, keep
- 16:39Speaker 1: on walking. There's some stuff you don't respond to because
- 16:43Speaker 1: you know who you are. You know your power, you
- 16:47Speaker 1: know your purpose, and you know your prowess. Keep your prowess.
- 16:51Speaker 1: You might lose your job, but keep your prowess. You
- 16:54Speaker 1: might have to move in with your mama, but keep
- 16:57Speaker 1: your prowess. You might go through a storm, but keep
- 16:59Speaker 1: your prowess because that's what got.
- 17:02Speaker 2: You up in the first place.
- 17:03Speaker 1: If you lose your power, If you lose your purpose,
- 17:07Speaker 1: if you lose your prowess, you.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Have lost everything.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Power is your decision-making ability to act on the decisions
- 17:18Speaker 1: you make. Purpose is what guides you as to what
- 17:23Speaker 1: not to fight. Because once you understand your purpose, you
- 17:30Speaker 1: stop swinging at stuff that doesn't have anything to do
- 17:35Speaker 1: with your divine purpose. There are some things that the
- 17:38Speaker 1: enemy sends to distract you. Who am I preaching to
- 17:46Speaker 1: in this place? And so Pilate is having this discussion
- 17:52Speaker 1: with Jesus and he's consulted the religious leaders because he
- 17:55Speaker 1: doesn't want to be guilty of making a Roman decision
- 17:59Speaker 1: against the king.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Of the Jews.
- 18:01Speaker 1: He wants the Jews to reject him and he needs
- 18:05Speaker 1: to be rejected. Oh, I wish I had time. He
- 18:08Speaker 1: needs to be rejected because the Bible said he came
- 18:11Speaker 1: unto his own and his own received him not. And
- 18:15Speaker 1: so that the scriptures might be fulfilled, there are seasons
- 18:18Speaker 1: of rejection. You're not being rejected because you're not good enough.
- 18:22Speaker 1: It's part of the plan of God that you be rejected.
- 18:27Speaker 1: You only praise God when he opens doors, but I
- 18:31Speaker 1: praise God when he shuts them. You only praise God
- 18:43Speaker 1: when you're comfortable, but I'm learning to praise God when
- 18:46Speaker 1: I'm afflicted because the more they afflicted them, the Bible
- 18:50Speaker 1: said the more they grew.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Glory to God.
- 18:53Speaker 1: This is going to be a tough one today, but
- 18:55Speaker 1: I'm going to preach it until I get where I'm
- 18:56Speaker 1: trying to go. And in the middle of the affliction,
- 18:59Speaker 1: keep your power. Keep your purpose. Keep your prowess. Amen.
- 19:20Speaker 1: yeah you broke but yeah you down but yeah you're
- 19:27Speaker 1: uncertain but keep your prowess cause that's what the fight
- 19:35Speaker 1: is about the fight is about your power The fight
- 19:41Speaker 1: is about your purpose. That means he's not fighting you
- 19:44Speaker 1: over where you are. He's fighting you over where you're going.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Purpose in Kishai speaks to destiny. Purpose speaks to how
- 19:57Speaker 1: things end up. And because you're worried about where you are,
- 20:01Speaker 1: you think the fight is about now. No, the fight
- 20:04Speaker 1: is about tomorrow. The fight is about a stone being
- 20:07Speaker 1: rolled away. The fight is about you ascending in a cloud.
- 20:11Speaker 1: The fight is about you reaching the throne and putting
- 20:14Speaker 1: the blood on the mercy seat. And so he's after
- 20:17Speaker 1: his purpose. The end of all things, eschatology, is purpose,
- 20:24Speaker 1: my destination, my I have arrived. You know how you're
- 20:27Speaker 1: driving your GPS and you get to a certain point
- 20:30Speaker 1: and all of a sudden it stops giving you direction
- 20:33Speaker 1: because it says you have arrived at your destination. Some
- 20:37Speaker 1: of you, the enemy doesn't want you to arrive at
- 20:40Speaker 1: your destination, but hell is a liar because God is
- 20:44Speaker 1: about to do something in your life. Shout hallelujah in
- 20:49Speaker 1: this place. Now we know that Jesus does not want
- 20:58Speaker 1: to go to the cross. It is proven in the
- 21:01Speaker 1: Garden of Gethsemane that Jesus has an aversion to the cross.
- 21:06Speaker 1: We know that he didn't want to go to the cross.
- 21:08Speaker 1: We know that he didn't enjoy being betrayed by a
- 21:12Speaker 1: disciple he picked. By a disciple he fed. By a
- 21:19Speaker 1: disciple he traveled with. That's not fun. We know that
- 21:23Speaker 1: he despised the shame of the cross, but for the
- 21:27Speaker 1: joy that was set before him, he endured it. So
- 21:31Speaker 1: we're talking about endurance. We're talking about enduring things without murmuring.
- 21:40Speaker 1: We're talking about enduring things without complaining. We're talking about
- 21:44Speaker 1: enduring things without disrupting your attitude.
- 21:47Speaker 2: What we're talking about is not easy.
- 21:52Speaker 1: So the Jesus who cried out to the Father, who
- 21:57Speaker 1: cried out to the Father, if it be thy will,
- 22:00Speaker 1: pass this bitter cup for me, gets before Pilate and
- 22:03Speaker 1: says nothing. You know why he doesn't say anything? Because
- 22:07Speaker 1: Pilate don't have no real power. If I'm going to
- 22:12Speaker 1: empty out how I feel about it, I'm going to
- 22:15Speaker 1: empty it out before the Holy Spirit, who is my comforter,
- 22:19Speaker 1: who is my counselor, who is my therapist. But I'm
- 22:23Speaker 1: not going to empty it out in front of somebody
- 22:26Speaker 1: that has no power to change my circumstances. How many
- 22:31Speaker 1: times have we said the right thing to the wrong person?
- 22:40Speaker 1: We know that he's the captain of the host. and
- 22:44Speaker 1: that he could have called 10,000 angels. We know that
- 22:48Speaker 1: he has the power of God in him. We know
- 22:52Speaker 1: that the word of God is the sword of the spirit.
- 22:56Speaker 1: And if he had wanted to, he could have stopped
- 22:59Speaker 1: all of it at will just by opening his mouth.
- 23:03Speaker 1: There was so much power in his mouth that when
- 23:07Speaker 1: they came to arrest him and said, are you Jesus?
- 23:10Speaker 1: He said, I that speak am he.
- 23:12Speaker 2: And they fell back for dead.
- 23:14Speaker 1: The power in his mouth was so powerful that we
- 23:19Speaker 1: understand that if Jesus opened his mouth, court would be closed.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Y'all didn't hear that.
- 23:28Speaker 1: If Jesus opens his mouth, cancer would disappear. If Jesus
- 23:36Speaker 1: opens his mouth, the gun wouldn't go off even if
- 23:39Speaker 1: it was loaded. If Jesus opens his mouth, how you
- 23:44Speaker 1: gonna fire me?
- 23:45Speaker 2: If Jesus opens his mouth.
- 23:55Speaker 1: And the real question of the text is does, is
- 23:59Speaker 1: it better to fight this fight as the lion of
- 24:05Speaker 1: the tribe of Judah or the lamb of God. Because
- 24:12Speaker 1: Jesus has duality and so do you. There are two
- 24:18Speaker 1: sides and you don't know which one to throw. Do
- 24:22Speaker 1: I come in on a horse and my sword drawn,
- 24:27Speaker 1: ready to kill or do I come in as a
- 24:31Speaker 1: lamb Because both things are true about all of us.
- 24:36Speaker 1: All of us have a lion and all of us
- 24:38Speaker 1: have a lamb. But not all of us have direction
- 24:42Speaker 1: as to which one you need for the fight that
- 24:45Speaker 1: you're in. And sometimes you're roaring when you ought to
- 24:49Speaker 1: be quiet. And sometimes you're quiet when you ought to
- 24:53Speaker 1: be roaring. Jesus has decided that in order to accomplish
- 24:59Speaker 1: his purpose, he.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Can't roar through this.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Isaiah 30, 15 says, for thus saith the Lord God,
- 25:14Speaker 1: the Holy One of Israel, in returning and rest shall
- 25:18Speaker 1: ye be saved. In returning and rest shall ye be saved.
- 25:23Speaker 1: In quietness. In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.
- 25:34Speaker 1: So this is what strength looks like. Strength looks like quiet.
- 25:44Speaker 1: In other words, be still and know that I am God.
- 25:52Speaker 1: In other words, hold your peace and the Lord will
- 25:55Speaker 1: fight your battle. I feel like I'm prophesying to somebody
- 25:59Speaker 1: and I don't know who it is. It's not that
- 26:02Speaker 1: you can't think of nothing to say. It's just that
- 26:05Speaker 1: this is not the time for the lion to roar.
- 26:09Speaker 1: This is the time that you got to come as
- 26:12Speaker 1: a lamb You got to be wise as a serpent
- 26:16Speaker 1: and harmless as a dove and you got to know
- 26:19Speaker 1: when to lose.
- 26:22Speaker 2: I told a friend of.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Mine was getting ready to play a golf game and
- 26:26Speaker 1: he's getting ready to play a golf game against a client.
- 26:28Speaker 1: And I said, listen, don't let your ego get the
- 26:31Speaker 1: best of you. Lose the game. Because sometimes What good
- 26:41Speaker 1: is winning the game if you lose the deal? Your
- 26:45Speaker 1: ego is stroked, but we lost the deal. Sometimes the
- 26:49Speaker 1: strongest thing is to let them win. So Jesus could
- 26:55Speaker 1: have stopped it all. He could have swallowed Pilate up,
- 26:59Speaker 1: but he held his peace. Oh my God. Oh my God.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Are you with me this morning? I say, are you
- 27:10Speaker 1: with me this morning? He did not open his mouth
- 27:14Speaker 1: because even on the cross with his back beaten and
- 27:18Speaker 1: his entrails hanging out, as long as he kept talking,
- 27:22Speaker 1: he couldn't die. Because in his hands are the words
- 27:27Speaker 1: of eternal life. Because he doesn't need anything to make
- 27:31Speaker 1: something out of nothing. Because if he opens his mouth
- 27:35Speaker 1: and says, let there be, it'll be whatever he says.
- 27:39Speaker 1: So death couldn't take him as long as he was talking.
- 27:43Speaker 1: If it's true about you, the power of life and
- 27:46Speaker 1: death is in the tongue, how much more is it
- 27:49Speaker 1: true about Jesus that death could not take Jesus as
- 27:53Speaker 1: long as he was talking? And if you're in here
- 27:55Speaker 1: right now, you ought to open your mouth and say something.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Let hell know you're not dead. Give me some power
- 28:08Speaker 1: on this monitor. Let hell know you're not dead. Let
- 28:12Speaker 1: the sickness know it ain't working. Let the enemies know
- 28:16Speaker 1: that they can't curse you. Let the witch know that
- 28:20Speaker 1: she can't stop you. If you just wiggle your toes,
- 28:25Speaker 1: The whole building might have caved in on you. But
- 28:28Speaker 1: if you open your mouth, power of life and death
- 28:31Speaker 1: is in your mouth. Slap somebody and say the power.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Is in the word.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Healing is in the word. Direction is in the word.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Deliverance is in the word. Breakthroughs are in the Word. Oh,
- 28:57Speaker 1: y'all don't hear what I'm saying to you. Look at
- 28:59Speaker 1: somebody say, it's in the Word, it's.
- 29:01Speaker 2: In the Word, it's in the Word. It's in the Word,
- 29:03Speaker 2: it's in the Word, it's in the Word.
- 29:06Speaker 1: The problem with us is we don't understand the difference
- 29:11Speaker 1: between the Scriptures and the Word. This is the Word
- 29:21Speaker 1: of God. The Bible is the Word of God, but
- 29:26Speaker 1: it is not all of the Word. Let me prove
- 29:35Speaker 1: it to you. John 1 says, in the beginning was
- 29:39Speaker 1: the Word. Wasn't no pens in the beginning, wasn't no
- 29:43Speaker 1: typewriters in the beginning, wasn't no printing press in the beginning,
- 29:48Speaker 1: wasn't no Bible in the beginning, and yet in the
- 29:51Speaker 1: beginning was the Word. It doesn't have to be the
- 29:54Speaker 1: written Word to be the Word of God. When God said,
- 29:58Speaker 1: let there be, there was nobody there to write it down,
- 30:02Speaker 1: but it still happened because the Word stands outside of
- 30:06Speaker 1: the Scriptures. Y'all don't hear what I'm saying to you.
- 30:10Speaker 1: You don't hear what I'm saying. The word was made
- 30:13Speaker 1: flesh and the Bible had not been completed. So the
- 30:17Speaker 1: Bible couldn't be made flesh. The word transcends the scriptures.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Before there were scriptures, there was a word of God
- 30:26Speaker 1: standing out there on absolutely nothing. Word all by itself.
- 30:32Speaker 1: The word is so powerful. Oh, I feel like preaching.
- 30:36Speaker 1: That the Bible said, speak the word only and my
- 30:40Speaker 1: servant will be healed. There wasn't no New Testament, but
- 30:44Speaker 1: the word spoken, the spoken word, man shall not live
- 30:49Speaker 1: by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out
- 30:55Speaker 1: of the mouth of God. And the Bible wasn't being
- 31:01Speaker 1: finished written and yet the word existed. The Word said,
- 31:06Speaker 1: speak to the dry bones, not the Scriptures. The Scriptures
- 31:11Speaker 1: are written in retrospect to the incident, but the Word
- 31:16Speaker 1: pre-existed what happened in the valley of the dry bones.
- 31:19Speaker 1: So I prophesied and I was commanded and there was
- 31:24Speaker 1: a noise and a shaking. Somebody say the Word, the Word,
- 31:27Speaker 1: the Word. In the beginning was the word. There it's
- 31:47Speaker 1: translated in Greek. The very fact that it's translated in
- 31:49Speaker 1: Greek means that it is written after the fact. Paul
- 31:54Speaker 1: has not yet been to Mars healed. The Greek had
- 31:57Speaker 1: not yet been converted. Therefore, the Bible had not yet
- 32:01Speaker 1: been completed. It was completed in Greek, which comes later
- 32:06Speaker 1: after the cross. In the beginning was logos. And logos
- 32:13Speaker 1: was God. And logos was with God. And traditional understanding
- 32:19Speaker 1: of the word logos means not just word, but thought, principle,
- 32:25Speaker 1: or speech. Nothing about logos means written. There was no
- 32:37Speaker 1: Bible in the creation. Nineveh had no Bible, and yet
- 32:45Speaker 1: they repented. Oldest book of the Bible is the book
- 32:54Speaker 1: of Job. The Pentateuch, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, and Numbers
- 33:00Speaker 1: is written by Moses. That's thousands of years after the creation.
- 33:06Speaker 1: This comes later. This is the written Bible. Word of God.
- 33:12Speaker 1: But God is not subject to penmanship. John 21, 25,
- 33:22Speaker 1: let me prove it. And there were also many other
- 33:26Speaker 1: things which Jesus did, the which if they should be written...
- 33:30Speaker 1: If it were written what Jesus did, if it were
- 33:33Speaker 1: written what Jesus did, everyone, I suppose that even the
- 33:37Speaker 1: world itself could not contain the books that should be written.
- 33:43Speaker 1: But these were written that you might believe. So what
- 33:48Speaker 1: you have is just a syllabus. Y'all don't want to
- 33:55Speaker 1: play with me this morning. This is just a syllabus.
- 34:00Speaker 1: This is just a compacted, concentrated representative of the wholeness
- 34:05Speaker 1: of what God has to say. Sometimes what God has
- 34:09Speaker 1: to say, you don't have a scripture for it, but
- 34:12Speaker 1: God said it. God said it in your belly. God
- 34:16Speaker 1: said it in your spirit. God said it to your grandmama.
- 34:20Speaker 1: God said it in your soul. Shout yes! The sword
- 34:29Speaker 1: of the spirit is the word of God. If Jesus
- 34:33Speaker 1: would have spoke, he'd have stabbed Herod with the word.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Because the sword of the spirit is the.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Word of God. No Bible.
- 34:48Speaker 1: The Bible is always written in retrospect. It's after the fact.
- 34:54Speaker 1: The word is present tense. By the time Moses wrote,
- 35:03Speaker 1: let there be light, the creation was over. Never confuse
- 35:11Speaker 1: the word with the Bible. The Bible is the written
- 35:16Speaker 1: word of God and these scriptures were written that you
- 35:21Speaker 1: might believe. It is not the full historicity of all
- 35:25Speaker 1: that God is and all that God can do and
- 35:29Speaker 1: all that God will do. Oh, let me get out
- 35:32Speaker 1: of here because I'm into something. Have you ever had
- 35:36Speaker 1: God speak something to you? Tell you, don't go tonight.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Don't go on Friday. You ain't got no Bible for it,
- 35:44Speaker 1: but you got a word from the Lord. Don't get married.
- 35:49Speaker 1: You got a word from the Lord. There is no
- 35:52Speaker 1: verse that says don't get married. But you got a
- 35:55Speaker 1: word from God. Touch somebody and say the word, the word,
- 35:58Speaker 1: the word. The word, the word, the word, the word,
- 36:01Speaker 1: the word, the word. Sit down, I'm just talking to you.
- 36:16Speaker 1: but I feel like something's gonna happen in here this morning.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I feel glory in this room. I feel anointing in
- 36:22Speaker 1: this room. I feel power in this room. I feel
- 36:26Speaker 1: yoke breaking in this room. I feel deliverance in this room.
- 36:31Speaker 1: You got a word in your belly. You got a
- 36:34Speaker 1: word in your spirit. You got a word in your soul.
- 36:38Speaker 1: You got a word to tell you get on the highway.
- 36:40Speaker 1: You got a word to tell you take the exit ramp.
- 36:43Speaker 1: You ain't got no Bible verse for it, but God
- 36:46Speaker 1: gave you a word. You don't know why you did it,
- 36:49Speaker 1: but you got off the highway because God leads his
- 36:53Speaker 1: children by the power of his word. Slap somebody and say,
- 37:05Speaker 1: I got a word. I got a word that will
- 37:10Speaker 1: protect my power. I got a word that will protect
- 37:14Speaker 1: my purpose. I got a word that will protect my prowess.
- 37:18Speaker 1: You can have my coat, but you can't have my dignity.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Ask Joseph.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Take my coat, but I'm still covered with the favor
- 37:27Speaker 1: of God. You can take my coat and dip it
- 37:30Speaker 1: in blood and lie on me and say I'm dead,
- 37:33Speaker 1: but it won't stop the favor of God because the
- 37:36Speaker 1: favor didn't come through the coat. The favor came through
- 37:40Speaker 1: the word. God said it. Scripture said it.
- 37:45Speaker 2: I am better. Sit down, sit down, sit down.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I feel something. So I got to thinking about it.
- 38:06Speaker 1: I said, Lord, I want to understand this Lamb of God.
- 38:10Speaker 1: And so it brought me to.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Is there a difference.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Between lambs in Palestine and lambs in the rest of
- 38:26Speaker 1: the world. So I started studying lambs. The lamb that
- 38:32Speaker 1: we're talking about in Palestine is called an Awasi lamb.
- 38:37Speaker 1: It is a unique brand of lamb that is designed
- 38:43Speaker 1: to withstand the climate in the Middle East. You just
- 38:48Speaker 1: thought a lamb is a lamb is a lamb. But
- 38:52Speaker 1: an Odyssey lamb has a different nature. It has the
- 38:56Speaker 1: ability to survive the hot climate, the sandy dunes. to
- 39:03Speaker 1: eat less food and hold on to it for longer
- 39:06Speaker 1: periods of time. It tends to have a dark face
- 39:11Speaker 1: because the melanin protects it from the heat of the sun.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Put my picture up of the lamb. It looks a
- 39:17Speaker 1: little different. Yeah, it has a little different demeanor. This
- 39:21Speaker 1: is what our sea lamb has the ability to withstand adversity.
- 39:27Speaker 2: It is adaptable. It is flexible.
- 39:30Speaker 1: If you want to be like the lamb of God,
- 39:33Speaker 1: you've got to be adaptable. You got to be flexible.
- 39:37Speaker 1: You got to serve God in season and out of season.
- 39:41Speaker 1: You got to preach when you feel like it. Preach
- 39:43Speaker 1: when you don't feel like it. You got to praise
- 39:46Speaker 1: when you're happy. You got to praise when you're blue.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Because an Awasi lamb is able to withstand whatever. It
- 39:54Speaker 1: produces more wool. It produces more dairy. It has more ability.
- 40:01Speaker 1: It yields 58 to 77 liters of milk during a
- 40:06Speaker 1: 150-day lactation. So the Awasi lamb has a different value
- 40:12Speaker 1: because the amount of milk that it is able to produce.
- 40:17Speaker 1: The amount of wool it is able to produce puts
- 40:22Speaker 1: it in a unique category. It is an Awasi lamb.
- 40:26Speaker 1: An Awasi lamb has a different personality. It has a
- 40:30Speaker 1: temperament of adaptability. I don't care where you put it,
- 40:34Speaker 1: it will adapt to wherever it is. I'm talking about
- 40:38Speaker 1: some of you. I don't care where we put you,
- 40:41Speaker 1: you will find a way to survive because you've got
- 40:44Speaker 1: that lamb-like nature down inside of you, whereas your girlfriend
- 40:49Speaker 1: is rigid and stubborn and won't listen and you can't
- 40:53Speaker 1: tell her nothing. But I don't care where we put you,
- 40:57Speaker 1: you will find a way to shine because you have
- 41:00Speaker 1: the nature not just of a lamb, but an Oasis
- 41:04Speaker 1: lamb is confined to the Middle East. Are you hearing
- 41:08Speaker 1: what I'm saying to you? In summary, an Awasi lamb
- 41:13Speaker 1: is the kind of sheep that are not only hardy,
- 41:17Speaker 1: but also valuable for milk and meat production in the region.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Their calm temperament, watch this, their calm temperament and adaptability
- 41:29Speaker 1: contribute to their popularity in the Middle East. They were
- 41:35Speaker 1: loved because they were quiet under attack, Jesus acts like
- 41:43Speaker 1: the lambs that David raised. The kind of lamb that
- 41:52Speaker 1: goes to the slaughter and doesn't say a thing. In
- 41:58Speaker 1: the garden, he was talking, but the closer he got
- 42:02Speaker 1: to the cross, the less he had to say. Because
- 42:05Speaker 1: he had to be an Owasi lamb. And an Owasi
- 42:08Speaker 1: lamb is just as calm going to the slaughter as
- 42:12Speaker 1: it is going to the grass field.
- 42:16Speaker 2: So he humbled himself.
- 42:19Speaker 1: And he never said a mumbling word because it is
- 42:22Speaker 1: the nature and the temperament of an Owasi lamb to
- 42:27Speaker 1: shut up. This is the theology of quietness. that sometimes
- 42:36Speaker 1: God says nothing. Go to a land I will show
- 42:44Speaker 1: you and says nothing else. You shall come forth as
- 42:54Speaker 1: pure gold and says nothing else. If you destroy the temple,
- 43:02Speaker 1: I'll raise it up again, no details. It says nothing else.
- 43:08Speaker 1: And our sea lamb just goes. Whether it is to
- 43:14Speaker 1: the shearers or the slaughterhouse or the feeding, it just goes.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Jesus' power is proven in his submission to the purpose
- 43:29Speaker 1: of And because Pallet had nothing to do with the purpose,
- 43:36Speaker 1: he got no answer. Anybody that doesn't have nothing to
- 43:41Speaker 1: do with your purpose does not deserve an answer. If
- 43:48Speaker 1: you argue with them and you win, what do you get?
- 43:55Speaker 1: So stop responding to everything they say on Twitter and
- 43:59Speaker 1: Instagram because there is no prize or reward you get.
- 44:03Speaker 1: I don't like your hair, so? Do you think I'm
- 44:07Speaker 1: gonna change my hair because some stranger wrote a line
- 44:11Speaker 1: that says you don't like my glasses on me? These
- 44:17Speaker 1: are the tactics of the enemy to distract you from
- 44:23Speaker 1: your purpose. and Jesus doesn't answer him because you can
- 44:29Speaker 1: win the battle.
- 44:31Speaker 2: And lose the war. Oh God, I'm talking to somebody.
- 44:35Speaker 2: I don't know who it is.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Stop letting the enemy distract you with every battle. Sometimes
- 44:41Speaker 1: you just don't say nothing. It is the theology of quietness.
- 44:46Speaker 1: There were times God said nothing at all. What historians
- 44:50Speaker 1: call the 400 years of silence. God said nothing at all.
- 44:55Speaker 1: It mirrors the 400 years that Abraham's seed was down
- 44:59Speaker 1: In Egypt for 400 years, God said nothing at all.
- 45:04Speaker 1: But just because God ain't saying nothing, that mean that
- 45:09Speaker 1: God ain't doing nothing. He's always doing something even when
- 45:15Speaker 1: he ain't saying nothing.
- 45:17Speaker 2: Though he slay me.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Amen. Yet shall I trust him. If he lay me down,
- 45:25Speaker 1: he'll raise me up again. If he puts me in it,
- 45:28Speaker 1: he'll bring me out of it. If he puts me
- 45:31Speaker 1: in the lion's den, he'll raise me from the lion's den.
- 45:35Speaker 1: If he puts me in the jailhouse, he'll shake the jailhouse.
- 45:39Speaker 1: I feel like doing the jailhouse rock because somebody's about
- 45:43Speaker 1: to rock their way out of a jail. Everybody laughing
- 45:47Speaker 1: at you, but you're coming out. I don't know who
- 45:49Speaker 1: I'm talking to, but thus says the word of the Lord.
- 45:53Speaker 1: They think they're going to kill you in the morning,
- 45:55Speaker 1: but before they get to your cell, I'm going to
- 45:59Speaker 1: send a breakthrough in your life. And all you got
- 46:02Speaker 1: to do is go to sleep. like a good Overseer
- 46:05Speaker 1: Lamb and know that He that have began a good
- 46:09Speaker 1: work in you shall perform it unto the day of
- 46:12Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. Somebody give Him a sleepy praise. A resting praise.
- 46:29Speaker 1: A praise that releases your anxiety. A praise that comforts
- 46:34Speaker 1: your mind. A praise that renews your spirit. You ain't
- 46:38Speaker 1: got to say nothing. Be still and know I'm God.
- 46:43Speaker 2: I got this. The battle is not yours. It belongs
- 46:49Speaker 2: to me. Give them to me. Can I go a
- 47:00Speaker 2: little bit deeper?
- 47:05Speaker 1: I wanna make a difference between superficial strength and internal fortitude.
- 47:11Speaker 1: We spend $ 6 billion a year on weightlifting, equipment, gym memberships,
- 47:18Speaker 1: personal trainers, and related fitness services, all so that we
- 47:23Speaker 1: can look strong and buff, and it's good. It's good
- 47:28Speaker 1: for your health. I'm not speaking against it. I'm just
- 47:30Speaker 1: making a point. But when you get in a spiritual battle,
- 47:35Speaker 1: Biceps can't help you. Triceps can't help you. It's nice
- 47:40Speaker 1: to have abs. I guess I got some down in
- 47:43Speaker 1: here somewhere. But let me tell you something, abs won't
- 47:47Speaker 1: help you when your soul.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Is up under attack.
- 47:50Speaker 1: Just because somebody looks strong doesn't mean that they are strong.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Just because they talk strong doesn't mean that they are strong.
- 48:00Speaker 1: We confuse strength with anger. So we think that because
- 48:06Speaker 1: a person is angry, they're strong, and then they get cancer,
- 48:11Speaker 1: and you find out that cussing cancer out does not
- 48:15Speaker 1: drive it out. You talk a good fight, but what
- 48:18Speaker 1: is under attack is your inner strength, your inner ability,
- 48:24Speaker 1: your fight back on the inside, that I will arise,
- 48:29Speaker 1: still I rise. Spit on me, still I rise. Beat me,
- 48:34Speaker 1: still I rise. Nail me to the tree, still I rise.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Put me in the tomb, still I rise. Somebody shout,
- 48:42Speaker 1: still I rise. You ought to be shouting right now.
- 48:47Speaker 1: When you look at all the hell you've been through
- 48:49Speaker 1: and you still sitting here today, you know you ought
- 48:53Speaker 1: to be praising God. You know they tried to take
- 48:56Speaker 1: you out. You know you couldn't defend yourself. You had
- 49:00Speaker 1: to hold your peace and still you rise. I want
- 49:04Speaker 1: 30 seconds of praise and praise.
- 49:12Speaker 1: I feel a praise.
- 49:16Speaker 2: I feel a praise coming in the house. I feel
- 49:18Speaker 2: a praise coming in the house.
- 49:20Speaker 3: The house.
- 49:20Speaker 2: Let it come in. Let it come in this house.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Still I rise.
- 49:25Speaker 1: I thought I would have a nervous breakdown, but still
- 49:28Speaker 1: I rise. I thought I would lose my mind, but
- 49:32Speaker 1: still I rise. I thought everything was over, but still
- 49:36Speaker 1: I rise. I don't know who I'm talking to, but
- 49:41Speaker 1: you're still here. You need to blow your foot on
- 49:44Speaker 1: a hat and blow your whistle and throw yourself a party.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Stop waiting on anybody to throw you a party, but
- 49:53Speaker 1: celebrate the fact that you're still here. It's not by might.
- 49:59Speaker 1: It's not by power. It's by my spirit, saith the Lord.
- 50:04Speaker 1: You may have had to crawl like the woman with
- 50:07Speaker 1: the issue of blood, but you still touch the hem
- 50:11Speaker 1: of his garment.
- 50:13Speaker 2: Shout yes.
- 50:18Speaker 1: We spend $ 1. 6 billion getting facelifts, The cost of a
- 50:32Speaker 1: face and a neck lift varies depending on what region you're.
- 50:36Speaker 2: In, but $ 1.
- 50:36Speaker 1: 6 billion is old numbers. It's probably about $ 2 billion now.
- 50:43Speaker 1: But when you get in grief, looking younger, when your
- 50:52Speaker 1: daughter get through cussing you out, When you find your
- 50:59Speaker 1: mama with a needle in her arms, this kind of
- 51:07Speaker 1: strength don't even matter. Your beautiful sister come in looking beautiful,
- 51:17Speaker 1: but it don't help if we in the emergency room.
- 51:22Speaker 1: The strength you need is a wasi strength The strength
- 51:31Speaker 1: on the inside, the strength to hold your peace, the
- 51:34Speaker 1: strength to be still, the strength to intercede, the strength
- 51:39Speaker 1: to survive, grief-stricken, heartbroken, mind confused, don't know where tomorrow's
- 51:46Speaker 1: coming from, but still there's something inside of you that
- 51:50Speaker 1: has the ability to survive. Am I talking to the
- 51:53Speaker 1: right people? I'm going to give you just a few points.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Can I go a little bit deeper? Inner strength evolves
- 52:03Speaker 1: from exposure to the Holy Spirit because it's not enough
- 52:07Speaker 1: for me to tell you you need inner strength and
- 52:09Speaker 1: not tell you where to get it. Inner strength evolves
- 52:12Speaker 1: from the Holy Spirit. The Spirit led Jesus in the
- 52:17Speaker 1: wilderness to be tempted. Are you hearing what I'm saying?
- 52:22Speaker 1: The Spirit led him. The Spirit doesn't just lead you
- 52:25Speaker 1: to the car lot to get a special price on
- 52:27Speaker 1: the car. The Spirit doesn't just lead you to a
- 52:29Speaker 1: house or gold or silver. The Spirit leads you to
- 52:34Speaker 1: trouble that strengthens you inwardly. Oh, ain't nobody shouting now.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Because when the anointing come on you, you think the
- 52:45Speaker 1: anointing just comes for you to come in and take over.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Sometimes the anointing comes in for you to suffer so
- 52:51Speaker 1: that you can develop strength. inner strength. That's why you're confused.
- 53:00Speaker 1: You say, how can I be so anointed and still
- 53:04Speaker 1: be unhappy? Because you think the anointing's job is to
- 53:08Speaker 1: make you happy. The anointing's job is to strengthen you inwardly.
- 53:16Speaker 1: And God wants you to stop murmuring because when you murmur,
- 53:21Speaker 1: you turn a three days journey into a 40 year
- 53:25Speaker 1: trip Because of your mouth, when you murmur and complain,
- 53:32Speaker 1: you make it elongate. Whereas if you just hold your
- 53:36Speaker 1: peace and follow the theology of quietness, it will soon
- 53:40Speaker 1: be over. Endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
- 53:46Speaker 1: It's not just enduring it. It's how you endure it.
- 53:49Speaker 1: You got to be able to endure it and not
- 53:52Speaker 1: change your attitude and not get bitter and not get
- 53:55Speaker 1: smart and not try to straighten people out. That's not
- 53:59Speaker 1: easy to do. But God said in order to get
- 54:01Speaker 1: through this battle you're in right now, you're going to
- 54:04Speaker 1: have to shut up.
- 54:07Speaker 2: It is.
- 54:10Speaker 1: The silence. of the Lamb, the Awase Lamb. In Jude 1.20,
- 54:18Speaker 1: I want you to have this. This is very important.
- 54:20Speaker 1: I've been knowing this scripture for almost 50 years. It
- 54:23Speaker 1: is very important. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on
- 54:30Speaker 1: your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. When
- 54:36Speaker 1: I get up under attack, I start praying in the spirit.
- 54:39Speaker 1: I start praying in tongues because I got to bypass
- 54:42Speaker 1: my soulish man. I don't want my feelings to start
- 54:46Speaker 1: directing the prayer because if my feelings direct the prayer,
- 54:49Speaker 1: I'm going to start praying crazy stuff like kill them.
- 54:52Speaker 2: Kill all of them. Kill all of them.
- 54:54Speaker 1: May they drop dead and fall over in the floor
- 54:57Speaker 1: and may maggots eat them before the EMTs get there.
- 55:00Speaker 2: That's what my.
- 55:05Speaker 2: So I can't trust my mind.
- 55:06Speaker 1: To pray because my mind has been affected by what
- 55:10Speaker 1: my flesh is going through. But the spirit itself makes
- 55:14Speaker 1: its intercession for us with groanings and moanings that cannot
- 55:18Speaker 1: but be uttered. For he that knows the will of
- 55:21Speaker 1: God searches the heart and the man. It's the catheter.
- 55:25Speaker 1: It cleans me out. It sanctifies me. It gets me right.
- 55:30Speaker 1: It gets my head on straight. So if you want
- 55:32Speaker 1: to strengthen your inner man, you got to start praying
- 55:35Speaker 1: more in the Holy Ghost. You got to start walking
- 55:38Speaker 1: through the house talking about.
- 55:45Speaker 1: And you say, what good does that do? I don't understand.
- 55:52Speaker 1: You don't need to understand. That's why we're doing it.
- 55:55Speaker 1: We don't want you to understand. We want you to obey.
- 55:58Speaker 1: We want you to submit. We want you to say yes.
- 56:02Speaker 1: And we want a prayer that has not been polluted
- 56:05Speaker 1: by your opinion. This you can do at home. You
- 56:12Speaker 1: don't need no equipment. You don't need no trainer. You
- 56:16Speaker 1: don't need no device. You can start walking around in
- 56:19Speaker 1: your hotel room. I feel it getting to me. I
- 56:22Speaker 1: feel it getting to me. I feel it getting to me.
- 56:35Speaker 1: If I'm going to shut my mouth, I got to
- 56:43Speaker 1: be strong.
- 56:43Speaker 2: Enough in the spirit to pray in the Holy Ghost.
- 56:46Speaker 1: I feel something about to hit this place. I feel
- 56:49Speaker 1: something about to rock this place. Every witch needs to
- 56:52Speaker 1: get out the door because the Holy Ghost is about
- 56:55Speaker 1: to hit the house. If the Holy Ghost hit the house,
- 56:58Speaker 1: every yoke is going to break. Every warlock needs to run.
- 57:02Speaker 1: I feel the presence of God coming in this place.
- 57:05Speaker 1: Somebody give him a praise. I just need a praise.
- 57:07Speaker 1: I just need a praise. I need a praise. I
- 57:10Speaker 1: need a praise. I need a praise. I need a praise.
- 57:13Speaker 1: I just need anybody. Anybody that don't care what you
- 57:16Speaker 1: got on. Don't care what you look like. Don't care
- 57:19Speaker 1: what you built like. Don't care how long your hair is.
- 57:23Speaker 1: Give him a praise like you lost your mind. Give
- 57:26Speaker 1: him a praise out of your belly. out of your spirit,
- 57:29Speaker 1: out of your isness, out of the depths of your being.
- 57:33Speaker 1: I feel something about to break loose. I feel something
- 57:37Speaker 1: about to break loose. I feel the spirit of God
- 57:40Speaker 1: about to take over this place. Hell is nervous. Demons
- 57:45Speaker 1: are trembling. Satan is upset because you're getting strength.
- 57:49Speaker 2: In your inner man.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water.
- 57:56Speaker 1: I feel water. coming into your dry places. If you
- 58:00Speaker 1: open your mouth and give God the glory, you're going
- 58:04Speaker 1: to build yourself up. Build yourself up. You don't need
- 58:08Speaker 1: a new man. You don't need a new woman. You
- 58:11Speaker 1: don't need a new job. You need to build yourself up.
- 58:18Speaker 2: Up, up, up. I said up.
- 58:21Speaker 1: I said up. I feel something about to happen in
- 58:37Speaker 1: this place. But number two, I want you to get this,
- 58:41Speaker 1: number two, you got to understand that inner strength comes
- 58:44Speaker 1: from strong associations. You can't run with weak people and
- 58:49Speaker 1: get stronger. You got to run with people that are strong.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Pick out strong people, not mean people, not hateful people,
- 58:57Speaker 1: strong people. Pick your friends by how they took a
- 59:00Speaker 1: lickin' and they kept on tickin'. Pick your friends that
- 59:04Speaker 1: been through hell and high water and still they got up.
- 59:08Speaker 2: Do you hear what I'm sayin.
- 59:10Speaker 1: Stop being drawn only to people who need you. For
- 59:15Speaker 1: this next year we're going through, you need people that
- 59:19Speaker 1: feed you, that pour into you, that challenge you, that
- 59:24Speaker 1: make you read, that make you study, that make you pray,
- 59:29Speaker 1: because you're getting ready to go higher. Slap your neighbor
- 59:32Speaker 1: and say, I'm getting ready for higher. I'm getting ready
- 59:37Speaker 1: for higher. I'm training for the Olympics. I'm training for
- 59:41Speaker 1: what's next. I'm training for what God is about to do.
- 59:45Speaker 1: I'm training for my purpose. I'm training for my prophecy.
- 59:49Speaker 1: I'm training for my prowess. I'm training for my power.
- 59:54Speaker 1: I might not look like I got power. I may
- 59:57Speaker 1: only be three feet tall and weigh 85 pounds, but
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: man looks on the outward appearance. God looks at the heart.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I'm stronger than I look like. I'm tougher than I
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: look like because I've been through enough hell that I've
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: been exercising the power of God in my life. So
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: I want to draw people that got inner strength so
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: that my associations... will reflect where I'm going to. Can
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: I go just a little bit deeper? I got two
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: more little quick points. I'm gonna give them real quick
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: and I'll be out of the way. Inner strength comes
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: from prayer. And we have raised a church that stopped praying.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: They praise, but they don't pray. They dance, but they
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: don't pray. You don't see any churches anymore that have
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: prayer meetings. Wasn't nobody speaking. Wasn't no big names singing.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: The star of the show was prayer. We came in praying.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: We had a quick devotion, and everybody hit their knees
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: and said, Satan, you're lying. You're coming against my house,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: but you can't have my house. I plead the blood,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: the blood of the Lamb, the blood of Jesus.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: Holy Ghost, take over me.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Don't let me say what I want to say, but help.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: Me to hold my peace.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: The battle is not mine. It belongs to you, Father.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: I stretch my hands to thee. No other help I know.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: I'm not looking to you for help. I'm not looking
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: to you for help. I'm not trying to manipulate you
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: to get help because you ain't my God. So I
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: ain't got to talk to you. Pilate, you didn't get
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: me in this, and you can't get me out.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Now unto him that is able. Thank you, sir.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Yes, sir.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Thank you, sir.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Oh, there's something happening.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: In the balcony.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: There's something happening in the back row. There's something happening
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: in the center section. Somebody over there got a breakthrough.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Somebody over there got a breakthrough. If you got a
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: breakthrough over there, open your mouth and give God some praise.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: My fourth and final point of how to.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Strengthen yourself is simply this. Inner strength comes from healthy
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: soul talk. What are you saying to.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: Yourself?
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: You are making yourself sick, feeding yourself the poison That
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: gives you pain. Rehearsing it. Over and over again. Envisioning it.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: Over and over again. And you can't be strong. Eating
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: weak food. It ain't what they said about you. It's
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: what you said to yourself. It's not what they did
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: to you. It's what you did to yourself. You need
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: healthy soul talk. I'm the man for the job. I
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: know I can do it. I know the favor of
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: God is with me. I know that God is for me.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: I know I can do all things through Christ which
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: strengthens me. A thousand may fall at my right side.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Ten thousand may fall at my left side. But it
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: shall not come nigh me. Because I know in whom
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: I have believed. You got to start talking to yourself better.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: Because if you don't talk to yourself better, you'll start
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: dating anybody that talks good to you because there's such
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: a deficit for some positivity that I can trick you
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: just by being nice to you. You haven't had no
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: niceness in so long that you're so thirsty that any
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: con man can come out loud and say something that
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: you ought to be saying to yourself. I date myself.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: I take myself out to dinner. I buy myself some flowers.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: I get myself some for the birthday. Every year I
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: have a birthday. I buy myself a present in case
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: everybody else forget me. I don't forget myself. I feel
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: the power of the Holy Ghost about to shake this
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: place down. It's about to shake this place down. Touch
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: your neighbor and tell them I'm about to shake this
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: place down. If you're nervous, you might better move. If
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: you're upset, you might better get out of the way.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: If you got a hearing problem, you might better move.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Because I feel the power of the Holy Ghost about
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: to break loose in this place. Lift your voice and
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: give God a praise.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: I said a praise.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I said a praise, a 30-second praise. Pray them till
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: you start talking right. Pray them till you start thinking right.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Pray them till you feel the power of the.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: Holy Ghost in your soul.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Pray them. till you become your own best friend. Praise
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: him till you feel a renewal down in your belly.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Praise him.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Praise him. Till you stop needing the validation of pallid faith.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Praise him until you astound them over what you said
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: nothing about. You never even let on it was an issue.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: And the Bible says Pilate was astonished because of the silence.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Of the lambs.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Jesus could be silent because he knew his purpose. was
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: not with Pallet. His purpose was with the resurrection. He
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: just had to go through Pallet. So he didn't respond
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: to Pallet because Pallet was a part of the process.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Judas was a part of the process. Jesus knew what
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: he was going to do before he did it, but
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: he didn't stop him because he wasn't part of the process.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: After Judas did it, he regretted it and tried to
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: give the money back. They wouldn't take the money back
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: because it was too late. He was fulfilling the process.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: And when you're going through the process, you got to
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: shut up. You got to shut up. You got to
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: shut up. This is the theology of quietness. This is
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: what makes you a peculiar people. That's what makes you peculiar.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Not dressing weird and acting weird and saying strange stuff
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: in progress. No.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: The ability to just be still until you bring.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: All parts of yourself into subjection and you accept it
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: is what it is. It's gonna do what it's gonna do.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: It's gonna be what it's gonna be. When we get
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: through talking, I still gotta go through the cross. When
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: we get through negotiating, I still gotta go through the cross.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: When we get through, but I'm not worried about the cross.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: Because I know that I might die on Friday.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: Evening.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: But I know it ain't over. On Friday evening, I
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: might look gone all day Saturday, but I know it
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: ain't over based on Saturday. but if you happen to
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: get up early Sunday morning Go down to the graveside
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: and see how I got over. I didn't say anything
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: over here because actions speak louder than words. And the
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Lord told me to tell you, you can show them.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: better than you can tell them. I don't know who
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: I'm talking to, but the Lord said you can show
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: them better than you can tell them. Don't say nothing
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: about it. Just be about it. You've been in a
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Friday night experience, but Sunday is coming. And if you
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: hold your peace a little while longer, everybody's going to
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: see God is about.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: To roll the stone.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Who am I preaching to? If this is your word,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: make some noise in this place. If this is your word,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: make some noise in this place. If this is your word,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: let the Lord know you heard him speak to you
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: right now.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: So I repent. I'm closing.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: I repent from my suffering, from my murmuring and my complaining.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: I repent because I've been verbal about stuff that don't matter.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I repent because I've been hanging around people that made
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: me respond petty because they were petty. But I refuse
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: to sink. down into the quagmire and the abyss of
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: who you are and give up being who I am.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: The gravitational pull of our relationship has caused me to
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: step back. Because you're about to make me say something
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: when I'm being graded on my silence.
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: The theology of quietness. Elijah in the cave.
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: Lightning.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: God ain't in it.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: Thunder.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: God ain't in it. All kinds of power.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Earthquake.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: God is not in it.
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: But then a still small voice spoke and said, get
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: out of here. What doest thou? And the Lord said something,
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: and I'm finished. What are you doing in that cave?
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: You're a mighty man of valor. You're a mighty man
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: of valor at work. You're a mighty man of valor
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: to your friends. You're a mighty man of valor to
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: everybody else. But at three o'clock in the morning, You
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: live in a cave. You caveman. You caveman. You caveman.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: You cut yourself in the tombs. And God said, I
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: did not anoint you for you to hate yourself. I
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: did not anoint you for you to cut yourself. You
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: stopped the other people who were cutting you because you
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: are better at cutting yourself than they were. In fact,
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: you only drew them because they reflected how you saw yourself.
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: You had the power to push them back, but then
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: you took their job.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: What doest thou hear that you have lowered yourself to
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: debate somebody who has less rank, authority, power, purpose, and prowess,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: then they don't deserve your answer.
