• 0:23
Speaker 1: August first, twenty twenty four, this is your w Ee
• 0:27
Speaker 1: SummerSlam preview and predictions editions of as r T You.
• 0:33
Speaker 1: I am one after the show, I am Jeff Peck
• 0:35
Speaker 1: joined every single week my post on only Doctor Tray Franklin,
• 0:39
Speaker 1: Doctor Treya. I did not have Shane McMahon and Tony
• 0:42
Speaker 1: Kahn having a meeting on my Bengo card, my friend, Yeah.
• 0:47
Speaker 2: That really wasn't on my Bingo card either. I'm I'm
• 0:50
Speaker 2: just curious to see that.
• 0:52
Speaker 3: If we have to rename Shane McMahon if he does
• 0:56
Speaker 3: actually come into aw or is he gonna be.
• 0:58
Speaker 2: Shane mac Man Shane Oh yeah.
• 1:02
Speaker 3: Shane oh the artist formerly known as Shane O Mack
• 1:07
Speaker 3: you know something like that.
• 1:08
Speaker 1: Well this is a real name, right, So I'm just
• 1:12
Speaker 1: Shane MacMahon. I like that one.
• 1:14
Speaker 2: Yeah, space it out of love. They spell Man with
• 1:18
  Speaker 2: with no H is just m A N N.
• 1:21
Speaker 1: He's just He's just a nineties character. He's the mac Man.
• 1:25
Speaker 2: He comes out to Return of the Mac Yeah, exactly.
• 1:28
Speaker 2: There you go. So it wasn't on my Bengo card either.
• 1:32
Speaker 3: But you know, and again two years ago, did we
• 1:35
Speaker 3: think that there'd be no McMahon's really.
• 1:37
  Speaker 2: In w W.
• 1:38
Speaker 1: E No, And I also didn't think cm punk was
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: gonna be in w W. Yeah, I mean, it's it's
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: it's a wild time for professional wrestling. It's a very
• 1:47
Speaker 1: fun time, but a very wild time for professional wrestling.
• 1:50
Speaker 1: So there were two photos, one which actually dropped during
• 1:53
Speaker 1: last week's recording, and then obviously one that I saw
• 1:57
Speaker 1: on Wednesday of Shane McMahon and Tony k in a
• 2:00
Speaker 1: meeting with one another in a private office at Airport
• 2:06
Speaker 1: in Arlington, So that was certainly one photo. The second
• 2:10
Speaker 1: one was Drew McIntyre and Jack Perry together and I
• 2:13
Speaker 1: was like, man, that is a shocking photo. I can't
• 2:15
Speaker 1: believe that's taking you know, that's out there on the internet.
• 2:18
Speaker 1: Drew McIntyre ended up like deleting that tweet an Instagram post. However,
• 2:23
Speaker 1: I think the Seane McMahon Tony knphoto is like the
• 2:26
Speaker 1: most shocking one I've ever seen.
• 2:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, if you if you remember a certain
• 2:33
Speaker 3: Hall of Fame ceremony from a few years ago where
• 2:37
Speaker 3: Billy Gunn was there, and there's the mention of a
• 2:40
Speaker 3: you know, kind of the mention of him working for
• 2:41
Speaker 3: somebody else, and Trip Place made the comment that Vince
• 2:44
Speaker 3: could just buy up that little piss anc company whenever
• 2:46
Speaker 3: he wanted to. It's interesting to see this actually play
• 2:50
Speaker 3: out because you know where there Shane is there, Evince
• 2:55
Speaker 3: looming in the background. Since he's now pretty much completely
• 2:59
Speaker 3: divested for on TKO holdings.
• 3:02
Speaker 2: Does the holy unholy.
• 3:04
Speaker 3: Union of Vince and Tony Kahan come into play or
• 3:07
Speaker 3: is this strictly Shane just trying to make amends for
• 3:11
Speaker 3: tearing both his squads dancing at WrestleMania two years ago.
• 3:14
Speaker 1: He wasn't dancing, wasn't he doing like a leap frog?
• 3:17
Speaker 2: I thought he was.
• 3:18
Speaker 3: Doing his entrance dance in the little Shane o Mac,
• 3:21
Speaker 3: you know, Diddy and.
• 3:23
Speaker 1: Torrent and I thought it was always a leap frog.
• 3:27
Speaker 1: But we'll have to go back and watch the footage
• 3:29
Speaker 1: if he in fact didn't tear his quads acl whatever
• 3:33
Speaker 1: he did that night and Niniscus whatever doing his Shane
• 3:36
Speaker 1: o Mac dance. So this is obviously a huge story.
• 3:39
Speaker 1: It's kind of been building for some time, and it's
• 3:42
Speaker 1: it's very funny. There's definitely some conspiracy theories that I
• 3:45
Speaker 1: have behind this that we'll get to here in just
• 3:47
Speaker 1: a little bit while as we talk about this. But
• 3:50
Speaker 1: there was a report out there from a Fightful Select
• 3:53
Speaker 1: and Wrestle Talk, and the report stated that this past
• 3:56
Speaker 1: month of July twenty nine, Tony Kahan and Shane McMann
• 3:59
Speaker 1: s down together for the first time. While con has
• 4:02
Speaker 1: been receptive to the idea of McMahon and AW and
• 4:05
Speaker 1: this also comes to us from Wrestling, Inc, the two
• 4:07
Speaker 1: had never actually spoken before. Earlier this week, talks between
• 4:10
Speaker 1: the parties seemed to be in the early stages, with
• 4:11
Speaker 1: a fight Full statement at their sources back stage in
• 4:13
Speaker 1: AW who had not been briefed on the meeting as
• 4:15
Speaker 1: of Tuesday. In addition to the description of the meeting,
• 4:18
Speaker 1: and Wrestle Talk posted a photo showing Conor McMahon in
• 4:20
Speaker 1: a small conference room together. Cohn has like this shot
• 4:24
Speaker 1: look on his face or smiley look on his face,
• 4:26
Speaker 1: and sham Commn is looking rather serious.
• 4:30
  Speaker 2: Then.
• 4:31
Speaker 1: More to this story, this comes to us from Bully
• 4:36
Speaker 1: Ray on Busted Open Radio. So he reached out to
• 4:39
Speaker 1: Sea McMann like I they had a conversation and then
• 4:42
Speaker 1: he somehow got like this text asking him about this
• 4:46
Speaker 1: entire meeting and shame. McMahon issued a statement in response
• 4:49
Speaker 1: to the news of his meeting with Tony con saying quote,
• 4:51
Speaker 1: Tony and I were connected through a mutual friend and
• 4:53
Speaker 1: we had a great meeting. We talked about many things,
• 4:55
Speaker 1: but mostly about our shared love for the business and
• 4:57
Speaker 1: the rewards and challenges of working with family. I congratulate
• 5:01
Speaker 1: him on the five year anniversary of AW and look
• 5:03
Speaker 1: forward to see how he evolves the business moving forward.
• 5:06
Speaker 1: Another layer there. One more comes to us from Dave
• 5:10
Speaker 1: Meltzer from russellm Ser Radio, saying quote, I know that
• 5:16
Speaker 1: Sha McMann has looked to get back in we. I
• 5:19
Speaker 1: know that people in charge of W had have no
• 5:22
Speaker 1: interest in him. Could that change with the idea that
• 5:25
Speaker 1: to be willing to go to AW? Maybe maybe not?
• 5:27
Speaker 1: Could he be really be willing to go to AW?
• 5:29
Speaker 1: I don't know where his mind is. Should AW take him,
• 5:32
Speaker 1: which is probably the big question. Is it a leverage
• 5:35
Speaker 1: play for him to try and get back into WA,
• 5:37
Speaker 1: which wouldn't surprise me at all, But I know from
• 5:40
Speaker 1: people in WA, like I said, he's trying to get back.
• 5:42
Speaker 1: There's a lot of negativity, I would say, has been
• 5:45
Speaker 1: there for a long time, which is an interesting layer
• 5:49
Speaker 1: to it. And then finally, doctor Trey on this entire thing.
• 5:52
Speaker 1: Russell Votes tweeted out the following, saying, quote, ask a
• 5:56
Speaker 1: longtime w employee friendly with Shane for thoughts on the
• 5:58
Speaker 1: Tony Kahn picture. The response quote, Shane's as smart as
• 6:02
Speaker 1: they come. Take it a preliminary meeting. Doesn't surprise anyone here.
• 6:05
Speaker 1: End quote. There's a lot to peel away here, Doctor
• 6:08
Speaker 1: Trey first and foremost, and once again, Shane McMahon and
• 6:12
Speaker 1: Tony Kahn had a meeting. Is he aw bound?
• 6:20
  Speaker 2: Maybe?
• 6:21
Speaker 3: I just don't think it's as soon as some people
• 6:25
Speaker 3: are projecting. Like you mentioned to me, this is kind
• 6:28
Speaker 3: of a leverage play. This is him seeing what's out there,
• 6:32
Speaker 3: what's available. Obviously, like you said, he's had interest and
• 6:36
Speaker 3: come back to WWE to be rebuffed. Well, Hey, if
• 6:39
Speaker 3: I'm WWE and the sun of our longtime owner is
• 6:44
Speaker 3: about to go to our competition, maybe I should take
• 6:47
Speaker 3: that meeting a little more seriously and start seeing what's
• 6:50
Speaker 3: up for him. He's got leverage in the sense of,
• 6:55
Speaker 3: you know, he spent so much time in China, working
• 6:58
Speaker 3: with net with their networks and distribution channels out there,
• 7:02
Speaker 3: that this could be a great move for AEW to
• 7:05
Speaker 3: bring somebody who has those kind of connections to get
• 7:07
Speaker 3: more distribution in China. It makes sense on a name
• 7:11
Speaker 3: value as well, So it's a very smart move on
• 7:14
Speaker 3: Shane's part to try to get a ball rolling that
• 7:18
Speaker 3: may have been stuck for a while.
• 7:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, the entire thing is just overall shocking to me.
• 7:24
Speaker 1: There's always been this weird rumor that there was potential
• 7:27
Speaker 1: tension between Triple H, Stephanie and Seane McMahon and maybe
• 7:30
Speaker 1: that's what led him leaving the company over a decade
• 7:33
Speaker 1: ago before he returned in the last five to ten years.
• 7:36
Speaker 1: Do you think that there's tension there, because I know
• 7:39
Speaker 1: there's always tension, weird awkwardness and families in general. But
• 7:42
Speaker 1: there have been personal photos out there where it was
• 7:45
Speaker 1: Triple H at Shane McMahon's son's high school graduation, which
• 7:48
Speaker 1: wasn't that long ago. I think it was like two
• 7:50
Speaker 1: three years ago, and they are families, and it doesn't
• 7:53
Speaker 1: seem like to me from the outside looking in obviously
• 7:56
Speaker 1: that either Shaan McMahon nor Stephanie are jackass anyway. If anything,
• 8:01
Speaker 1: what I've always heard is that Stephanie McMahon is like
• 8:04
Speaker 1: a great businesswoman but a sweetheart, and Shane McMahon is
• 8:08
Speaker 1: a smart businessman, but he's like one of the guys. Like,
• 8:11
Speaker 1: where do we think of the family aspect of this
• 8:13
Speaker 1: entire thing? Because this is this is shocking, because there
• 8:16
Speaker 1: is the Tony Kahn element, which I will get to
• 8:17
Speaker 1: here momentarily, because I know for a fact, if Tony
• 8:20
Speaker 1: Kahan spoke about my dad in any way like he has,
• 8:24
Speaker 1: I would never meet with the guy. If anything, I'm
• 8:26
Speaker 1: punching him in the face.
• 8:29
Speaker 3: I think, you know, when it comes to McMahon's as
• 8:32
Speaker 3: a whole, we shouldn't look at them through.
• 8:37
  Speaker 2: Normal family lenses.
• 8:39
  Speaker 3: I guess as a way of putting it, it's a
• 8:41
Speaker 3: very unique family, and I'm sure at some point there
• 8:45
Speaker 3: was tension between Shane, Triple Ah and Stephanie, especially you
• 8:50
Speaker 3: know early on we go back to you know, you
• 8:52
Speaker 3: and I go back to our fanoms for a very
• 8:54
Speaker 3: long time, you go back to the WCW attitude era
• 8:57
Speaker 3: of Wars, and for a long time, these was always
• 9:00
Speaker 3: that Vince was going to pass the company to Shane,
• 9:04
Speaker 3: and then all of a sudden, it became Shane and Stephanie,
• 9:08
Speaker 3: and then Triple H gets factored in, and then you
• 9:10
Speaker 3: guys are wondering, like, was was Triple H really kind
• 9:13
Speaker 3: of more the son that Vince always wanted, maybe a
• 9:16
Speaker 3: little more than Shane, you know, Shane going off and
• 9:19
Speaker 3: doing his own thing, prodigal son type of this situation.
• 9:21
  Speaker 2: Like, it's a.
• 9:22
Speaker 3: Very unique dynamic within that family. I mean, there was
• 9:26
Speaker 3: there were rumors a year or two ago that Stephanie
• 9:29
Speaker 3: and Triple H were about to divorce, and that hasn't
• 9:32
Speaker 3: come out. There's you know, Vince and Linda and their marriage,
• 9:36
Speaker 3: and obviously Vince has a girlfriend, but he's still married.
• 9:38
Speaker 3: I mean that that family is not your traditional American
• 9:42
Speaker 3: nuclear family. So I understand your point, Like, if somebody
• 9:46
Speaker 3: talked about my dad that way, I wouldn't talk to him.
• 9:48
Speaker 3: But this is not a normal family with normal things
• 9:52
Speaker 3: that go on in it. So once again, Shane's got
• 9:55
  Speaker 3: a son that's in college, who's.
• 9:57
Speaker 2: You know, you know, a Division I athlete. He's got
• 10:00
Speaker 2: another son in high school.
• 10:02
Speaker 3: Obviously there's some things that he still wants to accomplish
• 10:05
Speaker 3: in the world of professional wrestling. And then also maybe
• 10:07
Speaker 3: open the doors for his kids to eventually move into
• 10:11
Speaker 3: the realm of professional wrestling.
• 10:12
Speaker 2: So hey, like I said earlier, if I can.
• 10:14
Speaker 3: Get this ball rolling, whether it's WWE or AEW, let
• 10:18
Speaker 3: me see if I can't open some doors for my
• 10:21
Speaker 3: kids as well as for me and kind of keep
• 10:24
Speaker 3: the family tradition alive, so to speak.
• 10:26
Speaker 1: Furthermore, I mean all things encompassing here to me, after
• 10:30
Speaker 1: everything I've known in professional wrestling as a wrestling fan,
• 10:33
Speaker 1: this is, while very shocking, such McMahon move as a family.
• 10:38
Speaker 1: I mean, this is such a McMahon move where they
• 10:42
Speaker 1: will put business ahead of anything personal. I mean, Tony
• 10:46
Speaker 1: Kahan has taken absolute dumps on your family's business and
• 10:52
Speaker 1: everything that they do that they're responsible for and more,
• 10:55
Speaker 1: and has dragged your father's name through the colls like
• 10:58
Speaker 1: if you looked at the first couple of year years
• 11:00
Speaker 1: of AW even prior to Tony Kahn and interviews refer to
• 11:04
Speaker 1: Vince mcmannon as like his hero, one of his heroes,
• 11:06
Speaker 1: a guy that he wanted to sit down and have
• 11:07
Speaker 1: dinner with. I remember reading at one time. As time
• 11:11
Speaker 1: went on and WW, according to Tony Kahn, did things
• 11:14
Speaker 1: that were a little bit shady off business practice things
• 11:18
Speaker 1: that he didn't like. He ran that name through the
• 11:20
Speaker 1: coles as much as possible. He referred to w W
• 11:24
Speaker 1: as the Harvey Weinstein a professional wrestling And why is
• 11:28
Speaker 1: that because of the stuff that's going on with Vince
• 11:31
Speaker 1: McMahon and the potential court case of sex trafficking, human trafficking,
• 11:36
Speaker 1: what have you? You know, doctor Trey mentioned, is this
• 11:39
Speaker 1: going to open the door to Vince coming? I don't
• 11:41
Speaker 1: think Vince is ever coming to aw given the current
• 11:46
Speaker 1: circumstances he's dealing with from a legal standpoint. However, this
• 11:50
Speaker 1: is just to me such a McMahon move and there's
• 11:55
Speaker 1: going to be some weird ill will in w W
• 11:58
Speaker 1: where Shane is not welcomed. There's this story from twenty
• 12:02
Speaker 1: twenty one's Royal Rumble match where Shane was brought in.
• 12:07
Speaker 1: He was the producer and he was tasked to run
• 12:12
Speaker 1: that match and according to reports, like he it was
• 12:15
Speaker 1: such a clusterfuck, which if you go back and you
• 12:17
Speaker 1: watch that Royal Rumble match, it was excuse me, twenty
• 12:22
Speaker 1: twenty two Royal Rumble was the was the one that
• 12:26
Speaker 1: was like a huge, huge clusterfuck. It was a bad
• 12:29
Speaker 1: Royal Rumble, and he did all these spots to make
• 12:31
Speaker 1: himself look good, which rubbed people the wrong way. He
• 12:34
Speaker 1: was written out of storylines. Vince didn't want to bring
• 12:37
Speaker 1: him back anything like that. But time and time again,
• 12:41
Speaker 1: Russell Manty thirty nine, here comes Shane McMahon. He's back
• 12:44
Speaker 1: out there. He's dancing, he's tearing his squads and in
• 12:47
Speaker 1: an impromptu match with the Miz and he's on the
• 12:50
Speaker 1: shelf and we haven't seen him sist since. It's it's
• 12:54
Speaker 1: bizarre in a world of professional wrestling where you can
• 12:59
Speaker 1: get a little bit of stories here and there as
• 13:03
Speaker 1: to how people feel about a specific person, especially somebody
• 13:07
Speaker 1: like a McMahon, like Shane McMahon. It is a tough
• 13:10
Speaker 1: read Doctor Trey, because there are stories out there, maybe
• 13:13
Speaker 1: they're filtered by Shane and his people, that say he's
• 13:16
Speaker 1: a great guy, very fun to work with, people love
• 13:19
Speaker 1: having him around, he's one of the boys. And then
• 13:21
Speaker 1: you get these stories out there as well that he's
• 13:23
Speaker 1: a businessman, he tries to put himself over, he's not
• 13:27
Speaker 1: as well liked as he's perceived. Somewhere in the middle.
• 13:30
Speaker 1: As always, Doctor Trey is the truth and all in all,
• 13:34
Speaker 1: this is a very strategic move by Shane. But I
• 13:37
Speaker 1: can't get past the fact that if he loves his dad,
• 13:40
Speaker 1: if he has a good relationship with his dad, still,
• 13:42
Speaker 1: how the hell can he meet with Tony Kahan.
• 13:45
Speaker 2: I mean, nothing really surprises me.
• 13:48
Speaker 3: But you know, I don't follow Shane on LinkedIn, but
• 13:51
Speaker 3: since WrestleMania thirty nine, we really haven't heard about him
• 13:54
Speaker 3: doing anything, you know, So like I said, like this
• 13:58
Speaker 3: is a way for him to kind of.
• 13:59
Speaker 2: Get his name out there again. See what's out there.
• 14:02
Speaker 3: See if if by him meeting with aw maybe TKO
• 14:06
Speaker 3: gets a little interested. It is weird, and I love
• 14:09
Speaker 3: that you brought this up that there is almost like
• 14:11
Speaker 3: two different Shanes, and a lot of it seems to
• 14:13
Speaker 3: be the Shane prior to leaving in the Shane coming back.
• 14:19
Speaker 2: Like the Shane priorly.
• 14:20
Speaker 3: It's what always heard a great guy, one of the boys,
• 14:23
Speaker 3: you know, didn't mind doing all the crazy stuff like
• 14:25
Speaker 3: getting suplex through glass at King of the Ring, loved
• 14:29
  Speaker 3: all that stuff.
• 14:30
Speaker 2: But then the shame since you know, kind of the
• 14:32
Speaker 2: last few years where he.
• 14:33
Speaker 3: Became kind of the quote unquote, you know, hell in
• 14:37
Speaker 3: a cell spot monkey type Shane, like what's he going
• 14:39
Speaker 3: to dive off of this time.
• 14:41
Speaker 2: It's a different Shane that we hear about.
• 14:43
Speaker 3: And it might be because he's trying to impress the kids,
• 14:46
Speaker 3: or he's trying to like stay relevant or something like that.
• 14:49
Speaker 3: I don't know what it is, but it does feel
• 14:50
Speaker 3: like there's two different trains of thought when it comes
• 14:54
Speaker 3: to Shane McMahon the person and you know you mentioned
• 14:57
Speaker 3: you know, if you love your dad, why did you
• 14:58
Speaker 3: take this meeting? If you love your sister and her
• 15:02
Speaker 3: husband is the seat with the Chief Content Officer, the
• 15:06
Speaker 3: CCO of WWE, you know, by taking this meeting and
• 15:11
Speaker 3: putting out that god awful picture, Uh, it's gonna get
• 15:15
Speaker 3: back and it's gonna it's gonna ruffle some feathers. So
• 15:18
Speaker 3: it's a strategic move in the sense of it's getting
• 15:21
Speaker 3: my name out there and something is going to happen
• 15:25
Speaker 3: because I took this meeting.
• 15:27
Speaker 2: So this is the Shane businessman part playing out more
• 15:30
  Speaker 2: than anything else.
• 15:31
Speaker 1: All in all, at the end of the day, from
• 15:34
Speaker 1: both Tony Kahan and Shane McMahon, is this a potential
• 15:37
Speaker 1: business opportunity? Absolutely? Is this an opportunity for Shane to
• 15:41
Speaker 1: join aaw Absolutely? But what does this move overall? This
• 15:46
Speaker 1: is a total fuck you move from both Tony Kahan
• 15:50
Speaker 1: and Shane McMahon to wa We are going into SummerSlam
• 15:54
Speaker 1: week in a couple of days. Unless things change, there
• 15:57
Speaker 1: will be a press conference following Somelam. Triple H will
• 16:01
Speaker 1: be taking questions. I can almost guarantee that one of
• 16:05
Speaker 1: the first three questions asked of him will be absolutely
• 16:09
Speaker 1: one hundred and ten percent this entire story of Tony
• 16:14
Speaker 1: Kahan and Seae McMahon meeting, how the company feels, how
• 16:17
Speaker 1: the family feels, and there'll be some sort of political response.
• 16:20
Speaker 1: I can almost guarantee that he has been prepped to
• 16:23
Speaker 1: already answer this question from his PR team, that this
• 16:27
Speaker 1: is everything is going to be laid out on the
• 16:30
Speaker 1: table to a degree. So I mean they're still in headlines.
• 16:35
Speaker 1: We are opening up the show heading into SummerSlam weekend,
• 16:39
Speaker 1: one of the second biggest show that they do in Wae,
• 16:42
Speaker 1: soon to be a two night event in a couple
• 16:44
Speaker 1: of years. By talking about Sean McMahon meeting with Tony
• 16:48
Speaker 1: Khan and a little bit of hell freezing over more
• 16:51
Speaker 1: than anything I've ever seen, I mean this talk about
• 16:53
Speaker 1: Brett Hart coming back, talk about Ultimate Warrior coming back,
• 16:56
Speaker 1: see him Punk coming back to w WE. Those are
• 17:00
Speaker 1: are like steps below a McMahon meeting with Tony Kahan,
• 17:06
Speaker 1: while there are McMahon's or family members tied to McMahon
• 17:11
Speaker 1: family still involved with WA. I mean, this is this
• 17:14
Speaker 1: is mind blowing in a lot of ways, but at
• 17:16
Speaker 1: the end of the day, Doctor Trey, I think this
• 17:17
Speaker 1: is a total f you move from both Tony Kahan
• 17:20
Speaker 1: and Shane McMann to WA.
• 17:22
Speaker 3: Yeah, I love if you said, you know, I'm sure
• 17:25
Speaker 3: Trip Place is getting prepped by the PR team. I'm
• 17:27
Speaker 3: sure he's getting prepped by his sister or by by
• 17:30
Speaker 3: his wife. Like it's it is a complete f you move,
• 17:33
Speaker 3: and you know you're alluding to like the hell freezing.
• 17:36
Speaker 3: I mean, we just had Jesse Ventura appear at Monday
• 17:40
Speaker 3: Night Raw this past week, Like Jesse and WW have
• 17:44
Speaker 3: not gotten along very well over the last eleven years,
• 17:47
Speaker 3: and we're starting to show off about with Shane and
• 17:50
Speaker 3: Tony Khan. Because this is not Becky Lynch taking a
• 17:54
Speaker 3: meeting with Tony Khan. This is not a talent to
• 17:56
Speaker 3: a free agent talent taking. This is the brother in
• 17:59
Speaker 3: law of the man who runs this company. Taking a
• 18:03
Speaker 3: meeting with direct competition like that's I swear to God to.
• 18:09
  Speaker 2: Yes.
• 18:10
Speaker 3: I'm like, I really want to see a McMahon Helmsley Thanksgiving.
• 18:15
Speaker 3: I just want to see what the hell goes on
• 18:18
Speaker 3: at one of those things when the grandkids are gathered around,
• 18:20
Speaker 3: everybody's there. How is there not how to fight breakout
• 18:25
Speaker 3: at the Thanksgiving dinner that we find out about over
• 18:28
Speaker 3: the past fifteen years with this family, It's it's mind blowing.
• 18:34
Speaker 1: Is there any part of you that think that there's
• 18:36
Speaker 1: a little bit of an inside job like that Shane
• 18:38
Speaker 1: is still team Triple H and Stephanie team W and
• 18:41
Speaker 1: is taking this meeting to kind of like, I don't know,
• 18:45
Speaker 1: not ruffle feathers and we but like make people laugh
• 18:47
Speaker 1: in w Like let's talk about conspiracy theories here.
• 18:51
Speaker 3: I mean the best conspiracy theory would be like Shane
• 18:53
Speaker 3: and his dad are still tight das not in the
• 18:56
Speaker 3: company anymore by taking this meeting. It's not Vince meeting
• 18:59
Speaker 3: with Tony con but kind of the same similarities we
• 19:03
Speaker 3: talked about a couple of years ago when Vince retired
• 19:06
Speaker 3: but all of his generals are still in place, and
• 19:09
Speaker 3: was he still kind of running the show.
• 19:11
Speaker 2: Maybe this is a way for them.
• 19:13
Speaker 3: Maybe Shane's the intermediary between Tony and Vince and that's
• 19:20
Speaker 3: the buffer to kind of get that ball rolling. And
• 19:23
Speaker 3: at some point, I mean in Vince could have his
• 19:26
Speaker 3: two kids working for the working for competing companies, and
• 19:30
Speaker 3: then how much power does Vince have if he's got
• 19:32
Speaker 3: a son in AAW and a daughter or a son
• 19:35
Speaker 3: in law running WWE. Like that's the ultimate chess move,
• 19:40
Speaker 3: is that when you can put your pawns in place
• 19:42
Speaker 3: to help run two different companies.
• 19:44
Speaker 1: Last thing I want to talk about here in regards
• 19:46
Speaker 1: to the entire thing, So let's just say, for conversation's sake,
• 19:49
Speaker 1: AW signed Seae McMahon, Shay mcmann's and the company. Does
• 19:53
Speaker 1: that get you excited for the AW product or is
• 19:55
Speaker 1: it just one of those things where it's like a
• 19:57
Speaker 1: car crash that you can't stop staring at and you
• 19:59
Speaker 1: just want to see him man standing in the all
• 20:01
  Speaker 1: elite wrestling ring.
• 20:04
Speaker 3: I mean, on one hand, it would get me excited
• 20:06
Speaker 3: if he's brought in to help distribution and maybe help
• 20:09
Speaker 3: negotiate the Warner brother deal or something like that, something
• 20:12
Speaker 3: that's actually in his wheelhouse of being a businessman. I
• 20:16
Speaker 3: don't know how excited I get about Shane being in
• 20:19
Speaker 3: a ring with anybody in aew because that means we
• 20:23
Speaker 3: have to see Shane's punches and kicks again. And any
• 20:27
Speaker 3: longtime listener of this show knows how much Jeff Peck
• 20:30
Speaker 3: loves watching Sean mcmanh throw punches and kicks.
• 20:33
Speaker 1: Oh, I mean Sean McMahon, the person, the personality, the
• 20:36
Speaker 1: character on TV. I'm all there for. If you're a
• 20:39
Speaker 1: longtime listening to this podcast, you know Seane McMahon the
• 20:42
Speaker 1: executive being on an even playing field with anybody in
• 20:45
Speaker 1: professional wrestling is not good at all. I mean, there
• 20:49
Speaker 1: is nobody on a w roster that should be like
• 20:52
Speaker 1: giving him as much offense as he did, or putting
• 20:55
Speaker 1: him in spots with aj Styles the Miz. But now
• 20:57
Speaker 1: I'm getting on a tangent which doctor Trevis was hoping
• 21:00
Speaker 1: I would do. But very very very bizarre. I thought again,
• 21:04
Speaker 1: Drew McIntyre Jack Perry picture was out of control in
• 21:07
Speaker 1: a while, and mind blowing that picture, Tony Kahan Shay
• 21:10
Speaker 1: McMahon just as equally mind blowing. I just heard you say, Oh,
• 21:13
Speaker 1: doctor Trey, everything all right?
• 21:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, I get these great ideas every soft that popped
• 21:18
Speaker 3: in my head. And you know, there there's been talk
• 21:21
Speaker 3: about the rebranding of Ring of Honor and bringing it
• 21:25
Speaker 3: more Cyprian. And then we get Shane in a Ring
• 21:27
Speaker 3: of Honor ring saying, yes, the contract has been signed,
• 21:30
Speaker 3: but there's a big man owning Ring of Honor, and
• 21:34
Speaker 3: then we end up getting some kind of Ring of
• 21:35
Speaker 3: Honor aw invasion angle.
• 21:38
Speaker 1: Wasn't that the joke when he when he when con
• 21:42
Speaker 1: was about to announce that he was becoming the owner
• 21:45
Speaker 1: of r O H. They somebody was like, is the
• 21:47
Speaker 1: big ant is the contract? Say Shane on it? Or
• 21:50
Speaker 1: and he said, Shane's not here. That would be pretty funny.
• 21:53
Speaker 1: But there you go, Tony Kahan and Shane O. Mack
• 21:58
Speaker 1: meeting Mono E Mono to discuss potential business opportunities in
• 22:03
Speaker 1: the world of professional wrestling. We'll have to keep an
• 22:05
Speaker 1: eye on that moving forward. I thought it was a
• 22:07
Speaker 1: pipe dream, and then they met and then a photo
• 22:09
Speaker 1: was taken and the world has been in an uproar
• 22:12
Speaker 1: here the restling world in the last week heading into SummerSlam,
• 22:17
Speaker 1: keeping with AW Doctor Trey is announced on last night's
• 22:21
Speaker 1: edition of Dynamite that the Brian Danielson Swerve Strickland main
• 22:25
Speaker 1: event match for the AW World haaweight Championship will now
• 22:28
Speaker 1: be a career versus title match, Daniel Brian saying that
• 22:33
Speaker 1: if he cannot defeat Swerve Strickland, his career will be
• 22:37
Speaker 1: over at aw all In. This is interesting because it
• 22:41
Speaker 1: came off some reports this past week in regards to
• 22:44
Speaker 1: Brian Danielson's current physical condition going into aw all In.
• 22:48
Speaker 1: This comes to us from Wrestling Inc. Via Fightful Select
• 22:54
Speaker 1: reporting the following saying that fight Full Select reports that
• 22:56
Speaker 1: a recent interviewed Danielson cut with Renee Piquette. This is
• 22:59
Speaker 1: the one where Jeff chair Is cuts him off, gets
• 23:01
Speaker 1: interrupted and all that stuff where he stated that an
• 23:04
Speaker 1: AW doctor Michael Sampson didn't want him competing till aw
• 23:07
Speaker 1: all In had some truth to it would a Wembley
• 23:10
Speaker 1: Stadium show on the rise in aw doctors have put
• 23:12
Speaker 1: restrictions on Danielsen leading into the show, with said restrictions
• 23:15
Speaker 1: preventing Danielson from participating in angles or matches that he
• 23:19
Speaker 1: had planned for previously. Regardless, while Danielson has banged up,
• 23:22
Speaker 1: it was known that Danielson has long been planned to
• 23:24
Speaker 1: being the Wembley main event, and it appears there was
• 23:27
Speaker 1: never consideration of him moving from the spot. Also confirmed
• 23:31
Speaker 1: was that Danielson's talent contract with the AW would expire
• 23:33
Speaker 1: in August first, something else Danielsen discussed in his interview
• 23:37
Speaker 1: with Piquette. He also mentioned it on last night's Dynamite. However,
• 23:40
Speaker 1: no one should expect to see Danielson elsewhere anytime soon,
• 23:42
Speaker 1: as there's an active plan for him to remain involved
• 23:45
Speaker 1: with AW over the next month and possibly beyond. Regarding
• 23:48
Speaker 1: any questions on whether Danielson's plans to leave resting full
• 23:50
Speaker 1: time or legit, that is believed to be the case
• 23:53
Speaker 1: and that Danielson will be at best a part time
• 23:56
Speaker 1: wrestler wants his current AW run comes to an end.
• 24:01
Speaker 1: End quote here, that's tray. There's a lot of layers
• 24:03
Speaker 1: to it. I'm excited for AW all in. I'm excited
• 24:07
Speaker 1: for the build. The build has been very good overall
• 24:09
Speaker 1: for the show heading into the late August. I'm excited
• 24:12
Speaker 1: about this match because these are two of my favorites.
• 24:15
Speaker 1: They added the stipulation, I am that much more intrigued.
• 24:18
Speaker 1: Your thoughts on everything that is being discussed behind the
• 24:20
Speaker 1: scenes regards to Brian Danielson's physical condition heading into All In,
• 24:24
Speaker 1: and now the stipulation beat added to the main event
• 24:28
Speaker 1: match with swar Strickland.
• 24:30
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not a fan of stipulations like this being
• 24:34
Speaker 3: added when you know somebody's contrast kind of up and
• 24:39
Speaker 3: you hear these reports, because then it's like, okay, well,
• 24:42
Speaker 3: if if Brian Danielson wins, is he actually able to
• 24:46
Speaker 3: be able to defend the title, like or is he
• 24:48
Speaker 3: you know, is he too beat up to do that?
• 24:50
Speaker 3: Because you and I both know that this match with
• 24:52
Speaker 3: him and Swerve is gonna be very, very physical.
• 24:54
Speaker 2: Swerve does not have easy matches.
• 24:57
Speaker 3: Everything looks tough and hard and violin and your body's
• 25:01
Speaker 3: basically put through a car crash coming out of it.
• 25:03
Speaker 3: So it just I don't like needing to add this
• 25:08
Speaker 3: layer onto it, like we could literally have the match
• 25:12
Speaker 3: and then Brian comes out on Wednesday following you know,
• 25:15
Speaker 3: all In and do his little, you know, another retirement speech.
• 25:19
Speaker 3: I mean, I to me, it's just like an unnecessary
• 25:22
Speaker 3: thing to add on to it. But you know, if
• 25:25
Speaker 3: it adds intrigue and advice, I guess I'm fine with it.
• 25:28
Speaker 2: Just as a longtime fan.
• 25:29
Speaker 3: I'm just not a huge fan of these things when
• 25:32
Speaker 3: there's so much out in the open about the surrounding
• 25:36
Speaker 3: circumstances leading into it.
• 25:37
Speaker 1: See. I think that's where we different because I think
• 25:39
Speaker 1: this adds to a little bit of intrigue because of
• 25:41
Speaker 1: the stuff that's going on behind the scenes. Obviously aw
• 25:43
Speaker 1: knows it's out there, they're having them talk about it in interviews.
• 25:48
Speaker 1: It's the interesting part that doesn't make sense that I
• 25:51
Speaker 1: will agree with you on is his contract status saying
• 25:54
Speaker 1: that he will no longer be an active performer, and
• 25:57
Speaker 1: it's like, okay, well, then what are you gonna do.
• 25:59
Speaker 1: You're gonna put the championship Bonham and he's going to
• 26:00
Speaker 1: perform once every four months. Isn't that what you bashed
• 26:03
Speaker 1: we on when they were doing like the lesnar Roman
• 26:06
Speaker 1: reign stuff. So that part I'm totally with. I say,
• 26:10
Speaker 1: like twenty five percent of this entire thing to seventy
• 26:13
Speaker 1: five percent I'm like excited and intrigued with is I'm
• 26:16
Speaker 1: wondering if we're getting worked a little bit in this
• 26:18
Speaker 1: entire thing, and maybe he is doing a full time
• 26:21
Speaker 1: run before he goes or the plan is if he
• 26:23
Speaker 1: is a champion, he's going to do full time. Still,
• 26:27
Speaker 1: maybe these stories that he's putting out there, that the
• 26:30
Speaker 1: Dirt Sheets are putting out there are a little bit
• 26:32
Speaker 1: tongue in cheek, a little bit fabricated to make people
• 26:35
Speaker 1: all pun intended swerve when it comes to the match
• 26:38
Speaker 1: that's coming up there between he and Strickland at aw
• 26:41
Speaker 1: all In on August twenty fifth. So it does it
• 26:44
Speaker 1: blurs the lines of reality, which is what we like
• 26:48
Speaker 1: in professional wrestling. If we sit here the day after
• 26:52
Speaker 1: all In and Swerve, Strickland's won and Daniel Bryan has
• 26:55
Speaker 1: said goodbye, maybe we'll be critical of a little bit
• 26:58
Speaker 1: more of the direction they had for this match heading
• 27:01
Speaker 1: into it and all those stories being let out, especially
• 27:05
Speaker 1: from the aw side of things in their YouTube programming
• 27:08
Speaker 1: and then their actual programming on Dynamite. But if he
• 27:11
Speaker 1: wins the championship, there's gonna be like that week where
• 27:14
Speaker 1: it's like, okay, so what's happening here with Brian Danielson,
• 27:17
Speaker 1: And I find that intriguing. I don't know what it is.
• 27:20
Speaker 1: I think career title versus title matches Doctor Trey they
• 27:24
  Speaker 1: always interest me. It's it's something anytime that there's a
• 27:26
Speaker 1: career on the line like this, It's probably one of
• 27:30
Speaker 1: the most intriguing stipulations you can have. And I think
• 27:33
Speaker 1: the only thing that envied that for me as a
• 27:36
Speaker 1: professional wrestling fan my entire time and watching the sport
• 27:39
Speaker 1: was when Undertaker perform at wrestlming the street was on
• 27:42
Speaker 1: the line. Like career matches where wrestless careers on the line,
• 27:47
Speaker 1: I've always found very, very intriguing over the years.
• 27:51
Speaker 3: I think I go back to I think it was
• 27:53
Speaker 3: wrestling in twenty six career versus streak and for me,
• 27:56
Speaker 3: and maybe this is why I have such a huge
• 27:59
Speaker 3: Sean Michaels fan. Going into that match, I kind of
• 28:01
Speaker 3: knew it was his last match, and I think there's
• 28:03
Speaker 3: part of me that just goes, man, I really don't
• 28:06
Speaker 3: want this to be the last match. And in this
• 28:09
Speaker 3: situation now, one thing I'll say about this situation in
• 28:12
Speaker 3: particular is that over the five years, aw can keep
• 28:17
Speaker 3: secrets when they want to keep secrets, and they can
• 28:20
Speaker 3: put stuff out and make us talk about it and
• 28:23
Speaker 3: make us think about it when that's the.
• 28:25
Speaker 2: Rest sure they want to go.
• 28:26
Speaker 3: So in this situation, you're absoually right, this may be
• 28:28
Speaker 3: a complete work. This may be them putting something out
• 28:31
Speaker 3: there to get guys like you and I talking about it,
• 28:34
Speaker 3: to create that extra layer of intrigue in everything else,
• 28:37
Speaker 3: and then for it to all be, like you said,
• 28:41
Speaker 3: like a lack of a better term, a swerve and
• 28:44
Speaker 3: Brian's got another year, year and a half run on
• 28:46
Speaker 3: him and we get Brian Danson title matches for three
• 28:49
  Speaker 3: months straight.
• 28:50
Speaker 2: I mean, it could be all work.
• 28:52
Speaker 3: And that's one of the things at least with AW
• 28:54
Speaker 3: that they do well is if they want something to
• 28:56
Speaker 3: get out to lead into storylines or create some in
• 29:00
Speaker 3: they do it. If they want things to be quiet,
• 29:02
Speaker 3: they can keep stuff quiet. It's just like in this
• 29:05
Speaker 3: situation career versus titles, like I don't know if you
• 29:11
Speaker 3: needed the extra layer on it, but if this is
• 29:14
Speaker 3: all to get us all talking, they've done a great,
• 29:16
  Speaker 3: fantastic job.
• 29:17
Speaker 1: Yeah. I look at some of the histories there and
• 29:19
Speaker 1: we're gonna name a lot of WrestleMania stuff, but Ultimate
• 29:21
Speaker 1: Warrior and Macho Man Randy Savage. I think that was
• 29:24
Speaker 1: WrestleMania seven when they had a career match, and then
• 29:29
Speaker 1: you had Rick Flayer, Shawn Michael's wrestlmant in twenty four,
• 29:31
Speaker 1: the one that Doctor Trade has talked about Undertaker versus
• 29:34
Speaker 1: shown Michael's Wrestlemanti. It's twenty six Street versus Career. Going
• 29:38
Speaker 1: back to my point of like two things that I
• 29:40
Speaker 1: love the most for stipulations would be to streak when
• 29:43
Speaker 1: it was the Undertaker had at WrestleMania then then a
• 29:46
Speaker 1: career match, and they did it all on one shot,
• 29:49
Speaker 1: which ironically was enough. Was the very first WRESTLEMANI we
• 29:52
Speaker 1: ever covered here on the history of the So Real
• 29:54
Speaker 1: Ties show. So really intriguing stuff. Interested to see where
• 29:57
Speaker 1: the build goes and I like the lines of reality
• 30:01
Speaker 1: being blurred a little bit here and we'll see if
• 30:03
Speaker 1: they can continue forward with that with the creative in
• 30:06
Speaker 1: over the next couple of weeks. Heading into this match,
• 30:09
Speaker 1: so Swerve, Strickland, Brian Daniels, and AW All in career
• 30:11
Speaker 1: versus title match. A lot of good buzz around AW
• 30:15
Speaker 1: this week as we're going into a show preview and
• 30:18
Speaker 1: predicting w SummerSlam, and the first two topics at the
• 30:21
Speaker 1: top of the show is stuff that is going on
• 30:23
Speaker 1: and buzz going on with AW and that's what you want.
• 30:25
Speaker 1: You want good buzz. You don't want bad buzz You
• 30:27
Speaker 1: want good buzs switching to WWE Doctor Trey. There's a
• 30:31
Speaker 1: report out there, according to a press release that was
• 30:36
Speaker 1: released by the London government, and this comes to us
• 30:38
Speaker 1: from Wrestling Inc. That w officials were in London last
• 30:41
Speaker 1: week meeting with them in regards to bringing WrestleMania to
• 30:46
Speaker 1: the European capital in the near future. And as revealed
• 30:50
Speaker 1: in this press release issued by the London Government, the
• 30:53
Speaker 1: Mayor of London, Sadik Khan, met with w President Nick
• 30:56
Speaker 1: Cohn a lot of cons here on this episode of
• 30:58
Speaker 1: s R to You w Chief Content Officer Paul Triple
• 31:01
Speaker 1: h Levec on Thursday, with the intent of discussing the
• 31:04
Speaker 1: possibility of bringing a future wrestlminging event to England's capital
• 31:07
Speaker 1: city of London. For Conn, this marked an opportunity to
• 31:10
Speaker 1: make progress in his mission to perform to platform more
• 31:14
Speaker 1: North American international sports in London. Did you sneeze, doctor try?
• 31:17
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sorry. I was trying to hit my mute button.
• 31:20
Speaker 2: Couldn't get to it.
• 31:20
Speaker 1: No, No, God bless you that that dound like a
• 31:22
Speaker 1: bad sneeze. Get those allergies checked out, saying quote, London
• 31:26
Speaker 1: is a great pedigree and hosting the biggest international sporting
• 31:29
Speaker 1: events from around the globe. And I'm determined to cement
• 31:31
Speaker 1: our city's reputation as the undisputed sports capital the world
• 31:34
Speaker 1: as we work together for a better London for everyone,
• 31:36
Speaker 1: said TV. It's exciting to be working with the weteam.
• 31:39
Speaker 1: The meeting was very was really productive and talks will
• 31:41
Speaker 1: continue about how we could turn our ambition into reality.
• 31:45
Speaker 1: As pointing out by the VAC, WWE in London every
• 31:47
Speaker 1: long and successful history that dates back several decades, including
• 31:50
Speaker 1: nineteen ninety two SummerSlam pl which had emanated from the
• 31:53
Speaker 1: world famous Wembly Stadium. As of twenty twenty four, though
• 31:56
Speaker 1: w has yet to take its granded stage outside of
• 31:58
Speaker 1: North America, something that that sixteen times world champion John
• 32:01
Speaker 1: Cena previously campaigned had change my specifically bringing it to
• 32:04
Speaker 1: the prosperous city of London. During W Money in the
• 32:08
Speaker 1: Bank twenty twenty three. Coming out of w's meeting, Nick
• 32:13
Speaker 1: Cohn indicated that further talks were needed, but so far
• 32:16
Speaker 1: they appear to be promising to Decon and his team
• 32:18
Speaker 1: are working harder positioning London as a sport and entertainment
• 32:21
Speaker 1: capital of Europe, and it has been great to hear
• 32:23
Speaker 1: more on his vision for how w can support them
• 32:25
Speaker 1: on that journey. Nick Kahn said, so, doctor Trey Twofold here,
• 32:30
Speaker 1: One do you want to see WrestleMania out of North
• 32:33
Speaker 1: America and over into Europe? And two is London the
• 32:38
Speaker 1: right spot to have the very first WrestleMania off us soil?
• 32:43
Speaker 1: So excuse me, North American soil.
• 32:45
Speaker 3: For me personally, to have it in London would be
• 32:47
Speaker 3: fine because most WrestleManias are outside my budget, so I
• 32:52
Speaker 3: can't really get to most WrestleManias, and you know, doing
• 32:57
Speaker 3: one in London, for me, the visual would be spectacular.
• 33:00
  Speaker 2: London's a beautiful, beautiful city.
• 33:03
  Speaker 3: I am a little surprised that we're you know, we're
• 33:05
Speaker 3: coming up, we're coming up on you know, WrestleMania forty one,
• 33:07
Speaker 3: and we've never even done one in Canada, you know,
• 33:11
Speaker 3: for that for that regard, So what.
• 33:13
Speaker 1: We did we did Toronto, Toronto WrestleMania six and eighteen.
• 33:17
Speaker 3: So nothing outside of North America. So it is a
• 33:19
Speaker 3: little surprising that they haven't made this move yet. But
• 33:24
  Speaker 3: I think London's a fantastic choice. We've seen how successful
• 33:27
Speaker 3: it was in Wales. We've seen how successful ww's been
• 33:30
Speaker 3: in France. We've seen how successful AAW has been in
• 33:33
Speaker 3: Wembley Stadium. So it makes sense, especially if ww's trying
• 33:37
Speaker 3: to counter I don't say counter program but counter business
• 33:42
Speaker 3: AW by sticking at WrestleMania in London. Does that now
• 33:45
Speaker 3: maybe diminish what an all in is when it's in London. Uh,
• 33:50
Speaker 3: Not to mention, London is kind of like the backyard
• 33:54
Speaker 3: of Tony and Shad Kahn's family. I mean they literally
• 33:58
Speaker 3: own soccer teams there. They do the London football games
• 34:01
Speaker 3: with the Jaguars there. The Jaguars have been rumored to
• 34:03
Speaker 3: move to London before. It is one of those things
• 34:06
Speaker 3: where's like, hey, it's good for business and in a
• 34:09
Speaker 3: sense you can kind of stick it to AW by
• 34:12
Speaker 3: working a deal out with London to bring WrestleMania there.
• 34:15
  Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's a really intriguing proposition right now. I'm
• 34:19
Speaker 1: excited for I think it should go to London. I
• 34:21
Speaker 1: think that crowded London is going to be off the
• 34:24
Speaker 1: hook like one of the best WrestleMania crowds of all time.
• 34:27
Speaker 1: It's something that we typically see from the European crowds
• 34:31
Speaker 1: when they go over there, they hijack the show and
• 34:34
Speaker 1: you're like, man, the European crowds got it, they bring it,
• 34:36
Speaker 1: and to get those soccer hooligans, football hooligans cheering on
• 34:41
Speaker 1: for some wrestling, cheering on for some WrestleMania, they are
• 34:44
Speaker 1: going to be hype, they are going to be excited.
• 34:46
Speaker 1: There was a great crowded aw all in last year
• 34:48
Speaker 1: and it's because of all the excitements around in it.
• 34:51
Speaker 1: And maybe this is another fu back from WE to AW.
• 34:55
Speaker 1: Like if AW was able to do eighty three eighty
• 34:58
Speaker 1: four thousand for all in wwe may try to do
• 35:01
Speaker 1: more than that and go to Wembley Stadium and outdo
• 35:05
Speaker 1: them even more. So it's a really intriguing business proposition,
• 35:10
Speaker 1: which there's been plenty of these discussed on this week's
• 35:12
Speaker 1: edition of SRTU. And I really hope it comes to
• 35:14
Speaker 1: Frussian because I think the London crowd deserves it, they
• 35:17
Speaker 1: want it, and I think it would be a really
• 35:19
Speaker 1: really awesome experience and it would be a wrestlemanting that
• 35:21
Speaker 1: would be daytime. So I'm here for I think like
• 35:24
Speaker 1: a noontime WrestleMania. Sign me up and we am not
• 35:27
Speaker 1: like dead tired for the rest of the absolute weekend.
• 35:31
Speaker 1: It goes on because Wrestlemantia Weekend, as we all know,
• 35:33
Speaker 1: is an absolute grind my friends. With that said, let's
• 35:37
Speaker 1: shift gears, Doctor Trey and preview and predict WWE Summer Slam.
• 35:42
Speaker 1: It comes to us this Saturday from Cleveland Brown Stadium
• 35:44
Speaker 1: in Cleveland, Ohio. It is the formerly known as Biggest
• 35:48
Speaker 1: Party the Summer. I don't know if they're still using
• 35:50
Speaker 1: that tagline to promote Summer Slam this year. Nonetheless, let's
• 35:53
Speaker 1: get into it. The hometown boy, one of the hometown boys,
• 35:57
Speaker 1: is the miss He's hosting it. The other hometown boy,
• 36:00
Speaker 1: Logan Paul, is defending the w United States Championship against
• 36:03
Speaker 1: La Night Doctor Trey. I have a tough time calling
• 36:06
Speaker 1: this one, but I think Logan retains in the hometown.
• 36:09
Speaker 1: I'm gonna take Logan Paul.
• 36:11
  Speaker 2: See.
• 36:11
Speaker 3: This is when this has been tricky for me because,
• 36:13
Speaker 3: you know, with Cody being on SmackDown full time and.
• 36:17
Speaker 2: Seeing the world title.
• 36:18
Speaker 3: Usually if this was Roman in charge, I jump on
• 36:20
Speaker 3: the La Night train because that whether the US title
• 36:22
Speaker 3: be featured more, Uh, you kind of have I don't
• 36:25
Speaker 3: want say I don't want to call Logan Paul a
• 36:26
Speaker 3: part time champion, made me a three quarter champion.
• 36:31
Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna take La Knight.
• 36:32
  Speaker 3: I know it's it's Logan's hometown, but I think I'm
• 36:34
Speaker 3: gonna take La nine just because I mean, the dudes
• 36:37
  Speaker 3: kind of do like it's it's been He's had a
• 36:40
Speaker 3: year and a half run without a title, and he's
• 36:42
Speaker 3: been maybe one of the hottest acts in the company
• 36:43
Speaker 3: during that time. If you don't pull the trigger now,
• 36:46
Speaker 3: I don't know if you ever pulled the trigger with
• 36:47
  Speaker 3: La Knight.
• 36:48
Speaker 1: Interesting. Interesting, So you go in La Night. I am
• 36:51
Speaker 1: going Logan Paul. Next match, sure, Doctor Trey is for
• 36:54
Speaker 1: the Intercontinental Championship as Sammy z Aan defense against bron Breaker.
• 36:57
Speaker 1: Who do you like in this one?
• 37:00
Speaker 3: I'm going to old school here. I'm going off what
• 37:02
Speaker 3: I saw on Raw, which is Samy had the upper hand.
• 37:04
Speaker 3: So I'm gonna take bron Breaker at SummerSlam.
• 37:07
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna take the same like logic that you
• 37:09
Speaker 1: have with La Knight winning the United States Championship, and
• 37:12
Speaker 1: it's the same way I feel about the Intercontinental title.
• 37:14
Speaker 1: So I think if you're gonna pull the trigger, you
• 37:18
Speaker 1: pull it now and he has so much upside. A
• 37:21
Speaker 1: ton of poise and opportunity awaits the career of bron Breaker.
• 37:27
Speaker 1: He took the l the month before. I think now
• 37:29
Speaker 1: is the time to put the title on him. So
• 37:31
Speaker 1: I'm gonna take bron Breaker to win the Intercontinentald Championship
• 37:33
Speaker 1: as well. Next match is Bailey defending the WA Women's
• 37:37
Speaker 1: Championship against Naya Jacks. This is another tough one to call,
• 37:40
Speaker 1: Doctor Trey, because there's the Tiffany Stratton element that is
• 37:43
Speaker 1: hanging above this entire thing. I'm gonna take Bailey to
• 37:48
Speaker 1: win the WA Women's Championship. Pardon me wants to add
• 37:52
Speaker 1: I think Tiffany Stratton comes down and cashes in and
• 37:55
Speaker 1: leaves SummerSlam with the title, which then leads to issues
• 37:58
Speaker 1: between her and Naya Jacks. But if they do that,
• 38:01
Speaker 1: then my creative complaint for their creative would be I
• 38:06
Speaker 1: wish they built up their relationship and friendship a little
• 38:08
Speaker 1: bit more, so I'd like to see that play out.
• 38:10
Speaker 1: I'll tad bit more, but I'm gonna take Bailey to
• 38:13
  Speaker 1: retain the title.
• 38:14
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 38:15
Speaker 3: I've kind of gone back and forth because like, I
• 38:17
Speaker 3: don't know about you I've really been a fan of
• 38:20
Speaker 3: Naya over the last like six months. I agree, and
• 38:23
Speaker 3: like she's been really really good. Her in ring work's
• 38:26
Speaker 3: gotten better. We don't have nearly as many of the
• 38:29
Speaker 3: accidents as she had before. The Bailey run hasn't been great,
• 38:33
Speaker 3: so it really wants me to pick Naya, But I
• 38:36
Speaker 3: like your logic. I think I'm gonna take Bailey to
• 38:38
Speaker 3: retain because the storyline I think needs a little more
• 38:42
Speaker 3: depth between Tiffany and Naya to really flush it out.
• 38:45
Speaker 2: So I'm gonna take Bailey retaining as well.
• 38:47
Speaker 1: Next match here is Live Morgan defending the Women's World
• 38:50
Speaker 1: Championship against Rhea Ripley. Another tough one to call, Doctor Trey,
• 38:54
Speaker 1: Who do you like in this one?
• 38:56
Speaker 2: It's the Dominic mysterio factor.
• 38:58
Speaker 3: I don't know where Dominic's allegiance lies at this point,
• 39:03
Speaker 3: Like I know has been played up that he's back
• 39:05
Speaker 3: with Mommy, but you know this could be a big,
• 39:07
Speaker 3: big screw job and really make an even more hated
• 39:11
Speaker 3: is if he screws over Rhea and kind of either
• 39:14
Speaker 3: leaves the judgment day or takes Carlito with him and
• 39:17
Speaker 3: they do their own thing. I'm gonna take Live sneaking
• 39:20
Speaker 3: out in the victory and retaining right now, and just
• 39:22
Speaker 3: because I want to create more depth in this whole things,
• 39:25
Speaker 3: so I'm gonna take Live retaining the title.
• 39:27
Speaker 1: I'm gonna take Live Morgan retaining the championship as well.
• 39:29
Speaker 1: And I feel like either the Live Morgan rear Ripley
• 39:32
Speaker 1: match or the Damien Priest Gunther match. One of those
• 39:35
Speaker 1: matches I feel like right now is it either opens
• 39:38
Speaker 1: Summer Slam or it's like one of the first two
• 39:40
Speaker 1: matches at SummerSlam, and I think there's some sort of
• 39:43
Speaker 1: screw job in either one of those. In both those matches,
• 39:46
Speaker 1: I'll say I think there's a screw job in this one.
• 39:49
Speaker 1: I think Dominic Masterio turns on rear Ripley. The best
• 39:52
Speaker 1: way I can describe this for longtime wrestling fans is
• 39:56
Speaker 1: the feeling I have for this one is the WrestleMania
• 39:59
Speaker 1: fifteen storyline where I think China turned on Cain and
• 40:07
Speaker 1: reunited with Triple H after turning her back on DX
• 40:11
Speaker 1: and Triple H. And then later in the night, XPOC
• 40:14
Speaker 1: had some sort of match against Seane McMahon and China
• 40:19
Speaker 1: and Triple H helped Sea McMahon defeat x PAC and
• 40:23
Speaker 1: they join the corporation. So there's like this period of
• 40:25
Speaker 1: time where it felt like maybe China was back with
• 40:29
Speaker 1: d X and I may have this all turned around.
• 40:32
Speaker 2: No, you're pretty close. You're pretty close on this.
• 40:34
Speaker 1: I remember this, so you remember that story, and it
• 40:36
Speaker 1: was a really unique storyline that played out during a
• 40:38
Speaker 1: pay per view, and I think that this we something
• 40:41
Speaker 1: see similar, see something similar to this at SummerSlam where
• 40:45
Speaker 1: Ria either get screwed first, Damien gets screwed first, and
• 40:49
Speaker 1: then later in the show you've got like this huge,
• 40:52
Speaker 1: one big screw job and then you've got Damien rid
• 40:54
Speaker 1: Ripley on their own island coming out of SummerSlam starting
• 40:57
Speaker 1: on Monday Night Raw. So I'm spoiling what I have
• 41:00
Speaker 1: for my thoughts on Damien Priest. But nonetheless, like Doctor Trey,
• 41:04
Speaker 1: I have Lived Morgan retaining the Women's World Championship as well.
• 41:08
Speaker 1: Next match here, Doctor Trey, I guess, let's get to it.
• 41:11
Speaker 1: Damian Priest defends the World of Weight Championship against Gunther.
• 41:14
Speaker 1: I'll go first. I already kind of shared my opinion
• 41:16
Speaker 1: on this one. I think Gunther wins the World Heavyweight
• 41:19
Speaker 1: Championship heading into Bash of Berlin and there's some sort
• 41:22
Speaker 1: of screw job against Damien Priest.
• 41:25
Speaker 3: Yeah, I that was kind of my thought process as well,
• 41:28
Speaker 3: because if you look at it, Judgment Day as a
• 41:30
Speaker 3: group is a heel faction. You've seen Finn, You've seen
• 41:33
Speaker 3: with j D McDonough, Carlito Dominic, but Damian Priest and
• 41:39
Speaker 3: Rhea are booked as babyfaces. So what you were saying earlier,
• 41:43
Speaker 3: I had the same thoughts. One of the things when
• 41:44
Speaker 3: my clues was on Raw, how Gunther kind of put
• 41:48
Speaker 3: over his admiration for Finn Balor as well heading into
• 41:52
  Speaker 3: that match.
• 41:53
Speaker 2: So I'm went, I'm taking guntherer.
• 41:55
Speaker 3: To win and some kind of Finn Balor or Finn
• 41:58
Speaker 3: Balor lived Morgan, Dominic, Carlito, j D mcdonne' screw job
• 42:02
Speaker 3: to basically excommunicate Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley from the
• 42:06
  Speaker 3: Judgment Day.
• 42:07
Speaker 1: So they go, both of us going on some sort
• 42:09
Speaker 1: of screw job. I think, if you're gonna do this,
• 42:11
Speaker 1: it has to happen in SummerSlam, and you have to
• 42:13
Speaker 1: have something memorable at a memorable show. You can't save
• 42:15
Speaker 1: it for like Bash of Berlin or anything else after that.
• 42:17
Speaker 1: So i think it's happened in SummerSlam. Next match here,
• 42:21
Speaker 1: I'm really stoked for this one. Cmpunk versus Drew McIntyre
• 42:23
Speaker 1: with Seth Freakin Rollins. It's a special guest referee. Obviously,
• 42:26
Speaker 1: everybody's getting Sumerslam ninety seven vibes with Brett Hart versus
• 42:29
Speaker 1: Undertaken with Sean Michaels as the referee in that one.
• 42:33
Speaker 1: This is gonna be an exciting one, Doctor Trey. This
• 42:35
Speaker 1: is arguably, at least in my opinion, we's few of
• 42:38
Speaker 1: the years so far and they have not even wrestled
• 42:41
Speaker 1: one single match, Doctor Trey, Who do you like in
• 42:43
Speaker 1: this one? Cmpunk versus Drew McIntyre.
• 42:46
Speaker 3: See, it was weird because up until Monday, I was
• 42:49
Speaker 3: like all on the Drew McIntire trade, but then they
• 42:51
Speaker 3: referenced SummerSlam ninety seven during raw and I'm like, man,
• 42:56
Speaker 3: they can't do the same exact finish, so that kind
• 42:59
Speaker 3: of screws it up. Do you have Drew Louse, who
• 43:02
Speaker 3: really hasn't won a big match in a while. Do
• 43:04
Speaker 3: you have Punk lose his first in ring singles match back, Like,
• 43:10
Speaker 3: this was really really hard for me. I'm gonna take
• 43:13
Speaker 3: Drew getting the win, just because I think Drew needs
• 43:16
Speaker 3: it more than Punk, and then this can set up
• 43:19
Speaker 3: Punk and Rollins to go off on their own thing.
• 43:23
Speaker 2: So I'm gonna take Drew getting the win here at SummerSlam.
• 43:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, I like you, Doctor Trey. Drew McIntyre getting the
• 43:29
Speaker 1: victory as well. I think maybe Seampunk spoiled this match.
• 43:34
Speaker 1: In an interviewer I read, he was asked about his
• 43:37
Speaker 1: feud with Drew mcatyre and he said it's been like
• 43:39
Speaker 1: good or whatever. He's enjoyed it, but he's he's won
• 43:43
Speaker 1: and done after SummerSlam and he wants to move on
• 43:46
Speaker 1: to something else. I don't think that was in like
• 43:48
Speaker 1: a character thing. I think that was like legitimately how
• 43:50
Speaker 1: he felt, which is a shame because this field has
• 43:53
Speaker 1: been brilliant and they haven't wrestled one single match. So
• 43:56
Speaker 1: once I saw that, I was like, all right, Seth
• 43:57
Speaker 1: Freaking's Rollins is causing seam Punk the match, and Drew
• 44:02
Speaker 1: mcatyre gets a victory, and then we see Drew McIntyre.
• 44:04
Speaker 1: Maybe he goes off to Bash of Berlin to take
• 44:07
Speaker 1: on count for the World Away Championship, and then Seampunk
• 44:10
Speaker 1: versus Seth Freaking Rowlinds, which is the match we thought
• 44:12
Speaker 1: was going to be getting taking place at Wrestlemanda forty
• 44:14
Speaker 1: now gets built up for however long. Maybe it's immediate,
• 44:18
Speaker 1: Maybe it's at the end of this month of Bascher Berlin.
• 44:20
Speaker 1: Maybe it's held until Survivor series that was just announced
• 44:23
Speaker 1: for Vancouver and November thirtieth. So both of us taking
• 44:26
Speaker 1: Drew Mcatarre in this one, and both of us having
• 44:28
Speaker 1: some sort of another screw job where Seth freaking Rowlins
• 44:31
Speaker 1: costs Seampunk the match, and then that takes us to
• 44:33
Speaker 1: the undisputed w Championship match. Doctor Trey's Cody Rhodes defends
• 44:37
Speaker 1: against Solo Socoa. I will go first in this one.
• 44:41
Speaker 1: I am gonna take Cody Rhoads to retain the undisputed
• 44:43
Speaker 1: w WEE Championship. And I also have Roman Reigns making
• 44:48
Speaker 1: his long waited return and a long weight it's only
• 44:51
Speaker 1: been like four three or four months to WAI to
• 44:54
Speaker 1: kick off his feud with the new blood line Solo,
• 44:58
Speaker 1: so Coa's bloodline moving forward. So I've got Cody Roads
• 45:01
  Speaker 1: retaining Doctor Trey.
• 45:03
Speaker 2: Yeah, I have Cody retaining as well as much as
• 45:07
  Speaker 2: I like Solo.
• 45:08
  Speaker 3: I don't think he's world champion material, Like, I don't
• 45:12
Speaker 3: think he's a world champion character yet, I still think
• 45:15
Speaker 3: he's got a little bit to go, and I think
• 45:17
Speaker 3: the return of Roman Reigns and him being featured in
• 45:19
Speaker 3: his storyline with Old Bloodline New blood Line will help
• 45:23
Speaker 3: elevate him to that level. This also goes into my
• 45:26
Speaker 3: Sammy's name prediction as well, because all the talk of
• 45:28
Speaker 3: Sammy on Monday Night about you know, his being able
• 45:32
Speaker 3: to be in the ring with his dog jay Usso,
• 45:34
Speaker 3: and jay Usso making the save against the Judgment Day
• 45:38
Speaker 3: does kind of lead credence to Og Bloodline versus New Bloodline.
• 45:42
Speaker 2: At some point. So I'm taking Cody retaining.
• 45:45
Speaker 3: I think Roman makes the save to close out the
• 45:48
Speaker 3: show when the New blood Line is beating down Cody
• 45:51
Speaker 3: and Roman makes the saves.
• 45:53
Speaker 1: Doctor Trey who main events SummerSlam. I'm gonna go Cody
• 45:57
  Speaker 1: and solo.
• 45:58
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 45:59
Speaker 3: I mean, if it wasn't like if you took Roman
• 46:01
Speaker 3: out of the equation, I would I would have probably
• 46:03
Speaker 3: given it to Drew and Seth. But if you're gonna
• 46:06
Speaker 3: have Roman Reigns and that save may not be him
• 46:09
Speaker 3: actually physically interacting with Solo, but more just making the
• 46:14
Speaker 3: appearance and the bloodline backing down. But if you're having
• 46:17
Speaker 3: Roman appear on the show, then Cody and Solo got
• 46:19
Speaker 3: to close out the show.
• 46:20
Speaker 1: Yeah. I think Roman is appearing and I think they
• 46:22
Speaker 1: close it out. And if they open up the show,
• 46:24
Speaker 1: Roman's not appearing. I can't say that being something that
• 46:27
Speaker 1: opens up the show like Roman's back and people are buzzing.
• 46:30
Speaker 1: If they are the main event, then get ready to
• 46:32
Speaker 1: put your ones up because the tribal chief is making
• 46:35
Speaker 1: his return to w W. There are four legit matches
• 46:38
Speaker 1: that you could argue should be in the main event
• 46:40
Speaker 1: spot Live Morgan, Ria, Ripley, Punk and Drew with Seth
• 46:43
Speaker 1: as the referee, Priest Gunther, and Cody and Solo. But
• 46:47
Speaker 1: both of us are in agreement here. That'll be Cody
• 46:49
Speaker 1: and Solo closing out the show on Saturday night. So
• 46:52
Speaker 1: there you go. W SummerSlam preview predictions in the books.
• 46:55
