Speaker 4: begin on Let's Talk.
• 0:36
Speaker 5: Hello, ladies and gentlemen, This is Carl Lee with Let's Talk,
• 0:40
Speaker 5: and I have my two co hosts in the building.
• 0:43
  Speaker 3: I'm not sure if Lisadi's.
• 0:45
Speaker 5: Gonna made it very long, but Hollis Lissen is here
• 0:49
Speaker 5: and Lisa Odie's here.
• 0:50
  Speaker 3: Hello, we've gone.
• 0:51
Speaker 5: We've got a ton of different things that that that
• 0:58
Speaker 5: that's going on and the Big Game, the Big Game,
• 1:02
Speaker 5: you got the Super Bowl? It does anybody want to
• 1:06
Speaker 5: take a pick? Want to pick and choose, like who
• 1:09
Speaker 5: you want to win? Or do you want to go into.
• 1:12
Speaker 6: I want to know because you know this is the
• 1:15
Speaker 6: this is a pretty special Sunday coming up and a
• 1:18
Speaker 6: lot of people make plans. So I want to know
• 1:20
Speaker 6: what you guys are doing for the Super Bowl. Are
• 1:22
Speaker 6: you going to like go to a party. Are you
• 1:24
Speaker 6: going to throw a party or are you going to
• 1:25
Speaker 6: party in your pajamas?
• 1:27
Speaker 3: I'm not going to do anything like like the only.
• 1:31
Speaker 7: Thing I'm most special snacks?
• 1:33
Speaker 3: No, No, nothing special.
• 1:37
Speaker 5: If unless I go to my son's house and watch
• 1:40
Speaker 5: it with him and my grandson, then that might be special.
• 1:46
Speaker 5: But if if not, I'll just be sitting at home
• 1:50
Speaker 5: like any other day chilling. You run in the super
• 1:52
  Speaker 5: Bowl last year?
• 1:53
  Speaker 6: Right?
• 1:53
Speaker 3: Yes? Yes, so you actually went last Yeah?
• 1:56
Speaker 5: And what But again I say this, I have to
• 2:00
Speaker 5: I have to justify this.
• 2:02
  Speaker 3: I don't really go. I go, but I don't go
• 2:04
Speaker 3: to the game. Yeah.
• 2:06
Speaker 5: The game just isn't like I can't really sit and
• 2:09
  Speaker 5: watch it, like I can't sit. I guess it's like
• 2:12
Speaker 5: more of a like it's almost a reunion for you
• 2:15
Speaker 5: because you're seeing everybody, you probably spend more time talking
• 2:18
  Speaker 5: and talking.
• 2:19
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I can see that.
• 2:21
Speaker 5: But just to go, I would never go by my
• 2:24
Speaker 5: I would never go if I'm going to be just like.
• 2:28
Speaker 7: And go, Yeah, which is a conversation.
• 2:31
Speaker 5: Later, Well, now I don't even know if we want
• 2:33
Speaker 5: to have that later or do we want.
• 2:35
Speaker 3: To have it now. I want to know what is
• 2:37
Speaker 3: doing when you're going out of town.
• 2:38
Speaker 5: So I'll be coming back on that Sunday, so I'll
• 2:40
Speaker 5: probably get like, just get some I'll get some sort
• 2:43
Speaker 5: of snack football type of food and maybe just watch
• 2:46
Speaker 5: the game. I don't think I may go to one
• 2:48
Speaker 5: of my frat brother's house if somebody's doing something. But
• 2:50
Speaker 5: other than that, and also depending on the weather, I'm
• 2:53
Speaker 5: probably just gonna be wrong.
• 2:54
Speaker 6: Yeah, this weather's not the greatest. Yeah, we're actually going
• 2:58
Speaker 6: to be out of town too, so we'll be traveling
• 3:00
Speaker 6: most of the day and then when we get to
• 3:02
Speaker 6: our destination, we'll try to catch the game. But I
• 3:05
Speaker 6: mean to me highlights the next day, you know, I
• 3:08
  Speaker 6: mean it's a it's I don't I don't do the
• 3:10
Speaker 6: big party thing that people do.
• 3:12
Speaker 5: But I like the super I like, you know, the commercials,
• 3:15
Speaker 5: seeing like the halftime performances. So like, I'm definitely gonna
• 3:19
  Speaker 5: like watch it.
• 3:20
  Speaker 3: I can. I can.
• 3:22
Speaker 5: Enjoy the halftime presentation. Concert. I really say concert more
• 3:29
Speaker 5: than anything. I kind of like that and it is
• 3:34
Speaker 5: worth watching sometimes I can get back to it, you know,
• 3:38
Speaker 5: or to watch it.
• 3:39
  Speaker 3: I watched the.
• 3:40
Speaker 6: Halftime because these guys don't like some guys just skip
• 3:43
Speaker 6: that part they go get their refreshments and take a bathroom.
• 3:48
Speaker 5: If it's somebody that I like or somebody who I'm
• 3:50
Speaker 5: curious about, then I might watch it, want to watch it,
• 3:54
Speaker 5: and make sure that I get there to watch it.
• 3:59
Speaker 3: And if not, and you know, it's it's just that
• 4:02
Speaker 3: it's just a blown day. Really.
• 4:04
Speaker 5: I watch it just because, like I watch anybody, if
• 4:06
Speaker 5: you're performing to the super Bowl halftime, I'm just gonna
• 4:08
Speaker 5: watch it, you know what I'm saying, Like, whether I
• 4:10
Speaker 5: like you or not, whether it's the music genre that
• 4:13
Speaker 5: I'm into, I'm not necessarily into the halftime performer this year.
• 4:17
Speaker 3: But I'm gonna watch.
• 4:18
Speaker 5: But I'll say that I think that most people are
• 4:23
Speaker 5: equally as excited, but it's never really talked about.
• 4:27
Speaker 3: Is the national anthem? Who's singing the national anthem? Good point.
• 4:30
  Speaker 3: That's a good point. You know, it's a good point.
• 4:32
Speaker 5: Because that's usually where you get the most attention and
• 4:38
Speaker 5: the most credit is when you're singing the national anthem
• 4:41
Speaker 5: and you sing it in a way that people can
• 4:45
  Speaker 5: feel it.
• 4:46
Speaker 3: Man, it's never forgotten.
• 4:49
  Speaker 5: And I think that's that's cool, and I think that's
• 4:51
Speaker 5: what I like about the super Bowl because it's like,
• 4:53
Speaker 5: I like how they just you know, it is an event,
• 4:55
Speaker 5: you know what I mean, all day, all day, So
• 4:58
Speaker 5: I like it like that. So it's cool.
• 5:00
Speaker 6: Yeah, Well do you want to talk about Let's let's
• 5:03
Speaker 6: just dive right into Super Bowl conversation. Let's start with tickets.
• 5:06
Speaker 6: You want to talk about that, so go ahead, Well,
• 5:10
Speaker 6: Carl had sent me. Did you see it in the
• 5:12
  Speaker 6: text thread.
• 5:12
Speaker 7: I'm sure you did, Hollis, but it is it is.
• 5:17
  Speaker 7: It ranges.
• 5:18
Speaker 6: The prices range from the cheapest ones, which are the
• 5:21
Speaker 6: get in tickets you know, basically nothing.
• 5:23
  Speaker 3: Comes with it.
• 5:23
Speaker 7: Those are the nosebleeds.
• 5:25
Speaker 6: You can get into the Super Bowl this year for
• 5:28
Speaker 6: between four thousand, five hundred to six thousand, five hundred
• 5:31
Speaker 6: dollars range. That is just to walk through the gates right.
• 5:34
Speaker 6: Then you have the average tickets, which are probably you know,
• 5:38
Speaker 6: in between nosebleed in the middle of the pack. That's
• 5:41
Speaker 6: around ten thousand, five hundred dollars. Your premium fifty yard
• 5:45
Speaker 6: line tickets for the Super Bowl this year run as
• 5:48
Speaker 6: much as sixty three thousand dollars. And I'm skipping all
• 5:52
Speaker 6: this other stuff. We had bucket list event. You know,
• 5:55
Speaker 6: there's different packages I'm sure you can get. But the
• 5:57
Speaker 6: one that intrigued me was, you know the luxury suites
• 6:00
Speaker 6: where you see the celebrities and your former athletes, and
• 6:03
Speaker 6: you know are professional athletes, so that those range to
• 6:06
Speaker 6: get into those which are I'm sure are all inclusive
• 6:09
Speaker 6: with drinking food. But six hundred thousand dollars to two
• 6:13
  Speaker 6: million dollars.
• 6:15
Speaker 7: Let's discuss that. Let's discuss it. How is this going?
• 6:20
Speaker 7: He told me he's wanting to give him the luxury suite.
• 6:22
Speaker 3: As as I'm gonna give it to you.
• 6:25
Speaker 5: I'm gonna give it to you as a former player,
• 6:27
Speaker 5: and then you all can kind of hit it from
• 6:30
Speaker 5: your point of view. I am not ever gonna say
• 6:36
Speaker 5: that I would even financially attempt to go to that
• 6:42
Speaker 5: if it's not free, I'm not going. I'm not and
• 6:47
  Speaker 5: and and it's.
• 6:49
Speaker 3: I mean, you can't tell me that a football game.
• 6:54
Speaker 5: Is worthy of that much money just to watch it.
• 6:59
Speaker 5: But well, look at it from the other side, because
• 7:02
Speaker 5: you've been to Super Bowls and you getting into these
• 7:04
  Speaker 5: you you have.
• 7:05
Speaker 3: Access to these spaces.
• 7:06
Speaker 5: So assuming that you weren't a football player, you were
• 7:09
Speaker 5: just like some great businessman who had that level of money.
• 7:12
Speaker 5: You could pay sixty thousand dollars to go? Would you
• 7:16
Speaker 5: would you pay that to go? No?
• 7:21
  Speaker 3: No, it's a sport.
• 7:22
Speaker 5: It's a game, period, And I've had that approach my
• 7:30
Speaker 5: entire life. Football is a game. You play it and
• 7:33
Speaker 5: you move on to something else. You always have to
• 7:36
Speaker 5: move on to something else. It's just the game.
• 7:40
Speaker 3: The NFL is still no different than college. It is business, man,
• 7:45
Speaker 3: it is a business. But college just too.
• 7:47
Speaker 7: Yeah, college has not outpriced their tickets. No, you have it. No,
• 7:52
Speaker 7: they're getting bad yet yet it is the key word.
• 7:55
Speaker 3: You're right, he is.
• 7:56
Speaker 7: Yet it is the key word.
• 7:57
Speaker 5: But when you start talking about the prices that you
• 7:59
Speaker 5: just riddled off, there's nothing for me to like. I mean,
• 8:10
Speaker 5: there's nothing there. I mean I'm not interested in. Like
• 8:12
Speaker 5: what am I going forward?
• 8:14
  Speaker 3: Yeah?
• 8:15
Speaker 5: And it's like you know, and the point I was
• 8:17
Speaker 5: making to you guys earlier to me, when you look
• 8:19
Speaker 5: at professional sports, they have just price gouged us to death.
• 8:25
Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying, not just in the prices
• 8:27
Speaker 5: that you gave far as the super Bowl, but just
• 8:29
Speaker 5: on a regular game. If you go to a regular game.
• 8:31
Speaker 5: And I was just telling you guys, if I if
• 8:33
Speaker 5: it was me and my four daughters. So that's five
• 8:35
Speaker 5: people going to like a good a good team. So
• 8:38
Speaker 5: we're going to see Pittsburgh, which is a playoff team.
• 8:41
Speaker 5: You're gonna spend several hundred dollars on tickets, You're gonna
• 8:45
Speaker 5: spend one hundred and fifty dollars on parking. You're gonna
• 8:48
Speaker 5: spend a couple hundred dollars on food. You're gonna spend
• 8:51
Speaker 5: a couple hundred dollars if you want a T shirt
• 8:52
Speaker 5: or something like that. You're talking about thousands of dollars
• 8:56
Speaker 5: that over one thousand dollars maybe fifteen hundred dollars that
• 8:59
Speaker 5: you're spending going to a game, as you just said,
• 9:02
Speaker 5: and then on top of that, to watch the game
• 9:04
Speaker 5: at home, you gotta have all these channels. Now, you
• 9:06
Speaker 5: gotta have all these subscriptions. And then on top of that,
• 9:10
Speaker 5: every other commercial is a freaking gambling thing. So it's
• 9:15
Speaker 5: like they just they just want your money from every
• 9:17
  Speaker 5: single angle.
• 9:19
Speaker 3: And at what point does it just like come on
• 9:22
  Speaker 3: and to that.
• 9:23
Speaker 5: And I'm jumping in in front of you there ahead.
• 9:28
Speaker 5: I have an issue if the NFL has a and
• 9:32
Speaker 5: I don't want to say they have a gambling problem.
• 9:34
Speaker 5: But you are anti gambling for players, Why why are
• 9:40
Speaker 5: you posting these commercials about gambling? I mean, and it's
• 9:43
Speaker 5: every other to every other commercial is it's funny because
• 9:48
Speaker 5: you see like like Tom Brady, right, he's in the
• 9:51
Speaker 5: commercial like hocking pizza. Tom He's like a vegan, he
• 9:54
Speaker 5: eats like bird food and he's like probably one of
• 9:58
Speaker 5: the most healthy human beings on earth, and he's just
• 10:00
Speaker 5: hawking the pizza. And you have Lebron James hawking gambling
• 10:03
Speaker 5: and this guy's hocking beer. And it's just like, man,
• 10:06
Speaker 5: I mean again, everybody got to pay their bills. But
• 10:08
Speaker 5: at some point, and let me let me ask this
• 10:11
Speaker 5: question about to lose any sponsor that we can.
• 10:16
  Speaker 1: The last.
• 10:18
Speaker 7: We hope you enjoyed it.
• 10:21
Speaker 5: When you when you see those commercials, do they actually
• 10:25
Speaker 5: make you say, oh, you know what, I need to
• 10:28
  Speaker 5: go gamble?
• 10:29
  Speaker 3: I think, I think I think something. Wait, I hate
• 10:34
Speaker 3: some people. Yes, I think.
• 10:36
Speaker 5: If you've seen that commercial enough time, you're like, you
• 10:39
Speaker 5: may not like go into debt, but you may let
• 10:42
Speaker 5: me try try I think it. And then they hit
• 10:45
Speaker 5: you the promotion. They'll give you fifty dollars to start
• 10:47
Speaker 5: you mash the fifty.
• 10:49
Speaker 3: You may you make that. I don't even like.
• 10:51
Speaker 5: It's like that kind of stuff to me, doesn't even calculate,
• 10:56
Speaker 5: like I don't like. But you may not have a
• 10:57
Speaker 5: propensity for it. I think some people you could get like, yeah, I'll.
• 11:01
Speaker 7: Try, Yeah, yeah, I have an issue with it.
• 11:04
Speaker 3: Are not necessarily an issue. I wanted to just curious
• 11:06
Speaker 3: about it. And some people like I've gone to.
• 11:10
Speaker 6: Set it down the app So, I mean, you see
• 11:12
Speaker 6: it on TV, then you're like, oh, I can just
• 11:14
Speaker 6: slip this on my phone and let's do it.
• 11:15
Speaker 3: I'm going to try. I guess with some guys.
• 11:17
Speaker 5: And and let's say if I've been to Vegas three
• 11:21
Speaker 5: times because my son used to live out there.
• 11:24
Speaker 3: So I would go out to see him. We go
• 11:28
  Speaker 3: to a casino.
• 11:32
Speaker 5: I probably in my entire life have spent less than
• 11:36
Speaker 5: twenty dollars on gamble period.
• 11:39
  Speaker 3: Yeah, because I just I just don't I don't get it.
• 11:45
Speaker 5: If I if you gave me ten if Hollis, if
• 11:47
Speaker 5: you gave me ten dollars, I'm not.
• 11:51
Speaker 3: Gonna go and and and risk that ten dollars.
• 11:55
Speaker 6: Well, it's extensive now. It used to be when you gambled,
• 11:59
Speaker 6: you you had to go to a street corner where
• 12:01
Speaker 6: there was you know, some type of shady guy and
• 12:03
Speaker 6: you bet on a team to win or lose. They've
• 12:06
Speaker 6: got so many different you know, we've talked about this,
• 12:08
Speaker 6: those outside bets. You can have prop bets where you
• 12:11
Speaker 6: can say, well, I think that you know, the Patriots
• 12:14
Speaker 6: will be the first to score within you know, two
• 12:17
Speaker 6: minutes of the first quarter, or you know, the coin toss.
• 12:20
Speaker 7: Even so, I mean it's stuff that you.
• 12:22
Speaker 6: Don't even have to be a sports fan to be
• 12:24
Speaker 6: able to bet on different aspects of the Super Bowl.
• 12:28
Speaker 5: But isn't that isn't that bad that you've gone out
• 12:30
  Speaker 5: to reach out.
• 12:31
Speaker 7: It is what it is.
• 12:32
Speaker 5: That might not even watch the game just to get
• 12:35
Speaker 5: them to spend money on something good business. And I
• 12:37
Speaker 5: think kids now, like you're, you're inundated with it. So
• 12:41
Speaker 5: you've been watching this stuff since you were a little kid.
• 12:43
Speaker 5: So it's just part of like kind of what you do.
• 12:46
Speaker 5: I know a lot of young men that's what they do,
• 12:47
Speaker 5: Like they're in college, they and they they can pay
• 12:51
Speaker 5: their bills gambling somehow. So I don't know, it's not
• 12:54
  Speaker 5: something I get. But like I said, I just don't
• 12:56
Speaker 5: like the constant just I have to spend money on
• 12:59
Speaker 5: every single thing to enjoy this sport.
• 13:01
Speaker 7: Now, yeah, it's of coourse, sad. Yeah, let's get into
• 13:04
  Speaker 7: the game.
• 13:04
Speaker 6: You guys want to talk about the game, then, all right,
• 13:06
Speaker 6: So we've got the Patriots and the Seahawks.
• 13:08
Speaker 7: Correct, they're playing Sunday at six thirty.
• 13:11
Speaker 6: Of course that this whole party, this whole you know,
• 13:14
Speaker 6: extravaganza will start way earlier than six thirty. But the Patriots,
• 13:18
Speaker 6: I'm gonna give you guys some background information and then
• 13:21
Speaker 6: you guys can can chime in. But uh, the Patriots,
• 13:23
Speaker 6: this is their twelfth Super Bowl, that's the most of
• 13:27
Speaker 6: any franchise in the NFL. They're looking for their seventh
• 13:31
Speaker 6: Super Bowl win and if they you know, get if
• 13:33
Speaker 6: they're victorious, they will pass the Steelers for the most
• 13:36
Speaker 6: wins all time in Super Bowls. They're also and this
• 13:40
Speaker 6: is the part that really gets you because I know
• 13:42
Speaker 6: you're a Vikings fan and you hollish you're the Chargers. No,
• 13:47
Speaker 6: who are you fans of? The Steelers? Bengals, Niners, Bingles,
• 13:50
  Speaker 6: Bingles and Niners? Okay that's I couldn't remember. I knew
• 13:52
Speaker 6: it was a West Coast team and then of course
• 13:54
Speaker 6: you know, I'm pickers. This is the first team.
• 13:56
Speaker 7: Fortunately, yeah, I know, right right? Did you catch that?
• 14:00
  Speaker 3: You can?
• 14:00
Speaker 6: Okay, all right whatever, he's interrupting my line of thought.
• 14:05
Speaker 6: So this is the first team, the Patriots to make
• 14:08
Speaker 6: the super Bowl after losing thirteen or more.
• 14:11
Speaker 7: Games this season before? What now?
• 14:14
Speaker 6: How is it that they magically rebuilt a team guys
• 14:19
Speaker 6: in one season like that.
• 14:21
  Speaker 5: That's a good question before we start. I don't know
• 14:24
Speaker 5: if we talked about it last week.
• 14:26
Speaker 3: I wasn't here. Belichick not getting in.
• 14:28
Speaker 7: Did we talk about We did not talk about that.
• 14:30
Speaker 7: We need to talk about to.
• 14:31
Speaker 5: Just really quick while I was just on the Patriots. Like,
• 14:34
Speaker 5: to me, this is like the biggest robbery, like in
• 14:38
Speaker 5: sports history, Bill Belichick not getting it, not being a
• 14:43
Speaker 5: first ballot Hall of Famer, there's nothing to justify that.
• 14:47
Speaker 5: And I think it's conclusion and I think it just
• 14:50
Speaker 5: really really stains the Hall of Fame to me. To me,
• 14:53
Speaker 5: it really almost invalidates the Hall of Fame. It really
• 14:57
Speaker 5: puts a bad cloud on it because it's just there's
• 14:59
Speaker 5: no way you don't get in and you win. Because
• 15:01
Speaker 5: what people got to remember he wins six super Bowl
• 15:04
Speaker 5: as a head coach with the Patriots. He also won
• 15:07
Speaker 5: two Super Bowls with the with the Giants, being the
• 15:09
Speaker 5: de coordinator coaching the greatest defensive player of all time.
• 15:14
Speaker 5: But you cannot discount that.
• 15:17
Speaker 6: Aren't they saying? A part of it is the deflate
• 15:19
Speaker 6: gate about everybody cheated before well, I know, he got caught.
• 15:23
Speaker 7: It's kind of like that. It's kind of like with
• 15:25
  Speaker 7: the Reds.
• 15:26
  Speaker 8: You know.
• 15:26
Speaker 3: Okay, So to your point, Pete.
• 15:29
  Speaker 7: Rose, I mean it's similar.
• 15:31
Speaker 5: Yes, okay, maybe maybe that was one season though it's
• 15:35
  Speaker 5: in that line.
• 15:38
Speaker 3: But say that you got to say that then, so.
• 15:41
Speaker 7: What are they saying.
• 15:42
Speaker 3: They haven't really said what they said.
• 15:46
  Speaker 7: I guess that's an insinuations.
• 15:48
Speaker 5: But what they said was the scene. They they wanted
• 15:51
Speaker 5: to get other senior members in first. I think they
• 15:54
Speaker 5: wanted to get like Roger Craig or other people who
• 15:56
Speaker 5: were about to because I think you only get a
• 15:58
Speaker 5: finite nomination or something that they wanted it basically, But
• 16:01
Speaker 5: they said they wanted to get other people in before him.
• 16:04
Speaker 5: But my thing is, even if you count the flaygate whatever,
• 16:06
Speaker 5: that maybe that's two Super Bowls.
• 16:08
Speaker 3: Maybe let's say you still got three, three, four other
• 16:11
Speaker 3: Super bowls, you still got. What you did is a system.
• 16:15
Speaker 5: Rule the rule who Okay, So okay, so you you
• 16:18
Speaker 5: wanted to get these people in.
• 16:20
  Speaker 3: Right, That's what I mean. That's just what they're saying.
• 16:23
Speaker 5: Okay, but here's my argument with that, you can pick
• 16:27
Speaker 5: how many other people that you want to go? I
• 16:31
Speaker 5: don't think we can do that. I think it's like
• 16:34
Speaker 5: they pick a certain number. Again, this is what they're saying.
• 16:36
Speaker 5: They pick a certain number of seniors. Who's picking them?
• 16:41
Speaker 5: And if somebody is to the end of not being
• 16:46
Speaker 5: quote eligible to go because they haven't gone, and it's
• 16:50
Speaker 5: the last year that they quote can get in, why
• 16:54
Speaker 5: couldn't they put just put them in. Here's my thing,
• 16:57
  Speaker 5: and I'm a copy something you've said before. I think
• 17:02
Speaker 5: from here on out, I want everybody who has a
• 17:06
Speaker 5: voting who's a voter, and it ought to be public.
• 17:11
Speaker 5: I want to see exactly who you're voting for, and
• 17:14
Speaker 5: I want a reason why you're voting for that person
• 17:17
Speaker 5: and a reason why you're not voting for this person
• 17:20
  Speaker 5: because it's it's it's And again, I'm not a Bill Belichick.
• 17:24
Speaker 5: I don't think Bill Belichick is the greatest head coach
• 17:27
Speaker 5: of all but no, it should be an open process, though.
• 17:32
Speaker 6: I mean, but if it is an open process, then
• 17:34
Speaker 6: then you're not going to vote. You may feel peer
• 17:37
Speaker 6: intimidation from from people vote.
• 17:41
  Speaker 5: I just want to know who's voting. I don't care
• 17:44
Speaker 5: who you want to I want names of who's on
• 17:47
  Speaker 5: that I want.
• 17:48
Speaker 3: I want. I want to know who you voted for.
• 17:50
Speaker 3: And again I'll go I'll go that far with I
• 17:53
Speaker 3: want to know who you're voted for.
• 17:55
Speaker 5: If you if I'm going to vote for Hollis, if
• 18:00
Speaker 5: I vote for Hollis for a political reason, right, I
• 18:05
Speaker 5: want him to be this guy. If somebody comes up
• 18:08
Speaker 5: to me and says, who'd you vote for, I don't
• 18:11
Speaker 5: really want to tell you.
• 18:13
  Speaker 3: But that's different. No, I don't think that's politics.
• 18:17
Speaker 5: But I you are voting for the Hall of Fame open,
• 18:23
Speaker 5: I agree it should, just you don't.
• 18:25
  Speaker 3: Think so.
• 18:27
  Speaker 7: Okay.
• 18:27
  Speaker 6: I think I did explain to a degree. I feel
• 18:30
Speaker 6: like we should probably know the names of the committee members.
• 18:33
Speaker 6: I have no problem with that. We need to know
• 18:35
Speaker 6: who's on there and who's making these decisions. I think
• 18:37
Speaker 6: that's perfectly acceptable. I don't think they should have to
• 18:41
Speaker 6: say who they voted for. And here's why because when
• 18:44
Speaker 6: they go in to vote, in the back of their mind,
• 18:47
Speaker 6: they may you know, feel a certain way toward a
• 18:49
Speaker 6: certain player or a certain coach getting in, but also
• 18:53
Speaker 6: worry about, you know, your co committee person over here
• 18:57
Speaker 6: being upset that you didn't vote the way that he
• 18:59
  Speaker 6: was voting.
• 19:01
Speaker 3: That's not how the voting.
• 19:02
Speaker 6: But I know, but you know, they all get together
• 19:04
Speaker 6: and they talk and they and they communicate.
• 19:06
Speaker 7: They network before they do these votes.
• 19:09
Speaker 6: And Margaret and so I feel like, you know, maybe
• 19:11
Speaker 6: if they realize they you know, they have to come
• 19:14
Speaker 6: out and tell people who they voted for, then it's
• 19:17
Speaker 6: going to influence how they vote, and they may not
• 19:21
Speaker 6: vote the way they truly feel because they're worried to
• 19:23
  Speaker 6: how their appears.
• 19:24
Speaker 5: But my thing is number one, if you're voting that
• 19:27
Speaker 5: you should not vote how you feel. You should vote
• 19:31
Speaker 5: what that person. Resume, dictate whoever is the nominee, and
• 19:37
Speaker 5: it should be. And the thing is what I don't
• 19:39
Speaker 5: like if you're just checking the box, do some research,
• 19:42
Speaker 5: figure it out. And like I said, I think it
• 19:44
Speaker 5: should be an all open part. I think it should
• 19:46
Speaker 5: be a show and where you line everybody and you say.
• 19:52
Speaker 7: Are you serious? Yes, And how are you going to
• 19:55
Speaker 7: I mean, how are you going to judge?
• 19:56
  Speaker 5: Like?
• 19:56
Speaker 6: They're all accomplished athletes that have been nominated.
• 20:00
Speaker 5: But I'm okay if Hollis goes in for me and
• 20:02
Speaker 5: I realized. Now, let's just say, if I realize Hollis
• 20:07
Speaker 5: Hollis's stats are better than mine and they pick him,
• 20:12
Speaker 5: who am I to be mad? If they don't pick
• 20:14
Speaker 5: a corner? How am I going to be mad? And
• 20:16
Speaker 5: the thing is, you're right, Lisa in that they're all
• 20:19
Speaker 5: accomplished athletes and they're all Hall of Fame worthy. But
• 20:22
Speaker 5: I think there's two distinct classes that some people are
• 20:26
Speaker 5: going to be first ballot, other people's second ballance. Other
• 20:29
Speaker 5: people are going to have to wait. And I think,
• 20:31
Speaker 5: and to me, that's the honor because what people will
• 20:34
Speaker 5: say it was like all Bill, BILLI Chase's gonna get
• 20:35
  Speaker 5: in anyway.
• 20:36
Speaker 3: Dug he's getting in. That ain't the job.
• 20:40
Speaker 5: But that's not the honor for him. The honor is
• 20:42
  Speaker 5: to say I'm a first ballot. That's that's the honor
• 20:46
Speaker 5: for him. And the fact of the matter is that
• 20:48
Speaker 5: when you have eight Super Bowl as a coach at
• 20:53
Speaker 5: various from a coordinator to a head coach.
• 20:56
Speaker 3: You cannot tell me that's not first.
• 20:58
Speaker 5: You're coaching teams that are consider the best of all.
• 21:01
  Speaker 7: Time, all time.
• 21:03
Speaker 5: You think about this, think think about what Bill Belichick
• 21:05
Speaker 5: did here here, and here's here's why he's the first
• 21:08
Speaker 5: ballot Hall of Fame.
• 21:11
Speaker 6: Okay, but here's my argument. Maybe any coach that had
• 21:14
Speaker 6: Tom Brady on their Super Bowls.
• 21:19
Speaker 3: Okay, but here's the argument though, here's the argument.
• 21:21
Speaker 5: Bill Belichick coached the greatest quarterback of all time, and
• 21:25
Speaker 5: he coached the greatest defensive player of all time. There's
• 21:28
Speaker 5: one commonality in that, and it's Bill Belichick. He coached
• 21:31
Speaker 5: the greatest quarterback of all time, and he coached the
• 21:34
Speaker 5: greatest the defensive player of all time.
• 21:37
Speaker 3: And Bill Chick, Bill Belichick coach. You might as well
• 21:39
Speaker 3: name that. You might as well name the player. Lawn
• 21:42
Speaker 3: Taylor and Tom Brady all connected.
• 21:46
Speaker 5: To Bill Belichick. You cannot have it no other way.
• 21:49
Speaker 5: He's a Hall of Famer, first ballot, And this is
• 21:51
  Speaker 5: a total injustice.
• 21:52
Speaker 3: And back then, he was a defensive guy.
• 21:55
Speaker 5: And he was a defensive guy, and he's always been
• 21:57
Speaker 5: he's always been a defensive guy. And and and again
• 22:00
Speaker 5: you get l t and and and and and again.
• 22:06
Speaker 5: The systems that he creates for these individuals must be
• 22:11
Speaker 5: really I don't about it. And you and you look
• 22:15
Speaker 5: at Randy Moss. Randy Moss had his greatest years with
• 22:17
Speaker 5: who the Patriots? We can move on?
• 22:19
Speaker 6: Come on, no, no, no, no, I mean we got to
• 22:23
Speaker 6: get to the c bar.
• 22:25
  Speaker 7: Great arguments.
• 22:26
Speaker 6: Okay, So that was Patriots conversation with their their ex there.
• 22:31
Speaker 3: No, no was the question the question here.
• 22:38
Speaker 6: I was just making the point that it's amazing to
• 22:40
Speaker 6: me that you know, you have all these teams in
• 22:42
Speaker 6: the NFL that have you know, rebuilds you have if
• 22:46
Speaker 6: you have a season, you know that you're losing thirteen
• 22:50
Speaker 6: or more games, and then the next season you're going
• 22:52
Speaker 6: to the super Bowl.
• 22:53
Speaker 7: What are you doing that? Everybody else needs to.
• 22:55
Speaker 5: Coaching the quarterback. I think Drake May has come along,
• 22:59
Speaker 5: and you got Mike Babel, who was a you know,
• 23:01
Speaker 5: foreign Patriots coaching from Tennessee to the Patriots. It's coaching
• 23:05
Speaker 5: the quarterback. You I'm telling you, this is this is
• 23:07
Speaker 5: a league. To me, we're coaching really really matters. You
• 23:11
Speaker 5: got to have the coach. If you got the right coach,
• 23:14
Speaker 5: you got the right quarterback. You can have this. I'm gonna,
• 23:19
  Speaker 5: I'm gonna, I'm gonna, Yeah, that's a good point. I'm gonna,
• 23:24
Speaker 5: I'm gonna good point. I'm gonna agree with you in part.
• 23:28
Speaker 5: I think when you start talking about the coach, the
• 23:31
Speaker 5: coach has to understand and know what is his what
• 23:37
Speaker 5: is where is he gonna get to that Super Bowl?
• 23:39
Speaker 3: At? Is it offense? Is a defense? Is it my quarterback?
• 23:42
Speaker 3: Is it my linebackers? Is it my d line?
• 23:46
Speaker 5: And I think when you figure out what is going
• 23:49
Speaker 5: to be your way there, you lean on that. You
• 23:53
Speaker 5: got Tom Brady, you can lean on that. You get
• 23:55
Speaker 5: Tom Brady, he's old, and you got a good defense.
• 23:58
Speaker 3: What are you gonna do?
• 23:58
Speaker 5: You're gonna lean on that defense? And I think he
• 24:01
Speaker 5: understood everywhere he was in every team that he coached,
• 24:08
Speaker 5: what was his what's the benefit? What is going to
• 24:11
Speaker 5: be the thing that's going to make us great? It's
• 24:14
Speaker 5: going to be Tom Brady, It's going to be our defense.
• 24:18
Speaker 6: And to me, I think, and they have great owners,
• 24:20
Speaker 6: right the craft Cram I think they.
• 24:22
Speaker 9: I wanted to jump in here for a second because
• 24:24
Speaker 9: you just said what I was about, toe the whole
• 24:26
Speaker 9: bow on this. How come the Cowboys haven't been in
• 24:29
Speaker 9: the Super Bowl in a while. It's because of Jerry Jones.
• 24:31
Speaker 9: Why have the Patriots been so good? It's because of
• 24:34
Speaker 9: Robert Kraft. Yes, he is the one had something to
• 24:37
Speaker 9: do with the Bill Belichick era. And here again it's
• 24:40
Speaker 9: the owner. He knows what he's doing.
• 24:42
  Speaker 7: Yeah, good point.
• 24:43
Speaker 5: And I think at Lisa, to your point, I think
• 24:45
Speaker 5: they got lucky this year far as the Patriots because
• 24:48
Speaker 5: Patrick Mahon had a down year, Lamar Jackson had a
• 24:51
Speaker 5: down year, Joe Burrows Cincinnati, they're just never going to
• 24:55
Speaker 5: get it together again. And then you know, the Bills
• 24:58
Speaker 5: went out early. So the top quarterbacks in the league
• 25:01
Speaker 5: are all in the AFC and they all had down You.
• 25:03
Speaker 6: Their division is pretty it's always been a little easier
• 25:07
  Speaker 6: than most.
• 25:08
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think, I mean they got they ran into
• 25:09
Speaker 3: some luck. Yeah, who got next?
• 25:12
  Speaker 9: Oh?
• 25:12
  Speaker 7: Okay.
• 25:13
Speaker 6: And of course the other flip side of it is
• 25:15
Speaker 6: the Seahawks and this is the last time they attended
• 25:18
Speaker 6: the Super Bowl twenty fifteen. Uh and this is their
• 25:22
Speaker 6: fourth one, so you know, I mean that's considering what
• 25:26
Speaker 6: they were brought in the league as an expansion team
• 25:28
  Speaker 6: in seventy six.
• 25:29
Speaker 5: I need more handclaps, red hand, red handed, king peny
• 25:35
Speaker 5: and they they were doing. He is pushing, he's pushing
• 25:42
Speaker 5: the limit to fire Vikings. You don't get rid of
• 25:45
Speaker 5: a fourteen win quarterback, yeah, point blank. And the GM
• 25:48
Speaker 5: is now what out of that? See? The GM for
• 25:52
Speaker 5: the Vikings is golf. Yeah, you got rid of a
• 25:56
  Speaker 5: fourteen win quarterback.
• 25:57
  Speaker 3: You don't know.
• 25:59
Speaker 5: Redhead had his best game in the AFC champion excuse me,
• 26:03
Speaker 5: NFC Championship of his career.
• 26:05
  Speaker 7: Oh that's yep.
• 26:06
Speaker 3: And and this is not defense.
• 26:08
Speaker 6: He's been with five different teams in the NFL. Have
• 26:12
Speaker 6: we pointed that out before?
• 26:14
Speaker 5: You just pointed it out. And here's the thing again.
• 26:18
Speaker 5: When you get a player and you look at him,
• 26:22
Speaker 5: let's just say we're going to talk since a talk quarterback.
• 26:25
Speaker 5: You're looking at that quarterback. You either got a system
• 26:29
Speaker 5: that you think you're going to put him in and
• 26:31
Speaker 5: you hope that he's going to excel in, or you're
• 26:34
Speaker 5: going to look at this quarterback and figure out what
• 26:36
Speaker 5: he's got, where's his benefits, and you're going to create
• 26:40
Speaker 5: the system around him. Most coaches wanted, I just want
• 26:45
Speaker 5: to put Hollis in this kind of a system. How
• 26:48
Speaker 5: do I know he's okay in that system, you know.
• 26:50
Speaker 5: And I think I think when these coaches pay more
• 26:53
Speaker 5: attention and I think they go out now starting to
• 26:56
Speaker 5: look for quarterbacks, to bring quarterbacks in and create a
• 27:01
Speaker 5: situation for them that what they do is what we're
• 27:04
Speaker 5: going to do. And I think to your point that
• 27:07
Speaker 5: you just made earlier, when you're looking at the totality
• 27:11
Speaker 5: of your team, you may have a strong defense, you
• 27:14
Speaker 5: may have strong running backs, you may have strong offensive
• 27:17
Speaker 5: line or special teams. And I think now the thing
• 27:20
Speaker 5: about it is you do not need necessarily the Patrick Mahomes.
• 27:24
Speaker 5: You don't need the maybe the all world quarterbacks is
• 27:27
Speaker 5: going to do all things. I think there is spacing
• 27:29
Speaker 5: the game because I think we got spoiled with Tom
• 27:31
Speaker 5: Brady and Patrick Mahomes, we got spoiled with Lamar Jackson.
• 27:34
Speaker 5: They're spacing this game still for a quote unquote quarterback manager.
• 27:38
Speaker 5: Somebody who's going to not turn the ball over, who's
• 27:40
Speaker 5: going to progress the ball down the field, not make
• 27:42
Speaker 5: the major mistake, may not always make the big huge play,
• 27:46
Speaker 5: but can just be steady Freddy On.
• 27:49
Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. Throughout the season, when you
• 27:51
Speaker 3: build properly around him.
• 27:53
Speaker 5: And I think that's what a guy like Sam Darnold
• 27:55
Speaker 5: is and I think it's going to be room for
• 27:57
Speaker 5: a lot more quarterbacks like that, because as we've seen
• 27:59
Speaker 5: it in the NFL again, there's just not a lot
• 28:02
Speaker 5: of great quarterbacks and then and every season you're not
• 28:05
Speaker 5: necessarily going to have good quarterback play. So you need
• 28:08
Speaker 5: somebody who is consistent. And when you're able to build
• 28:11
Speaker 5: an organization in the squad around that consistency, you can
• 28:15
Speaker 5: go to the super Bowl. Well, and to you, we
• 28:19
Speaker 5: had we had a guest on the show who was
• 28:23
Speaker 5: a really really good quarterback and had a great, unbelievable defense. Yeah,
• 28:29
Speaker 5: and went and went and went. He had a great
• 28:32
Speaker 5: running back, had a great running back forget that. So
• 28:35
Speaker 5: he didn't have to be the guy to win the game.
• 28:40
Speaker 5: He managed all those guys around that he needed. And
• 28:44
Speaker 5: that doesn't take anything from his adility. And I think
• 28:47
Speaker 5: I hate when people take it away like it take
• 28:49
Speaker 5: a lot to not mess it up. Sometimes, Yes, and
• 28:53
Speaker 5: his and at the quarterback position, you are a quote,
• 28:57
Speaker 5: everybody's looking at you to be the leader. So now
• 29:00
Speaker 5: how do I lead you as a as a running
• 29:02
Speaker 5: as a great running back that everybody knows. How do
• 29:05
Speaker 5: I get how do you get comfortable with me? You
• 29:09
Speaker 5: got to manage that those relationships so that they not
• 29:13
Speaker 5: looking at you like, oh, he thinks he's the he
• 29:16
Speaker 5: the king of this. And now all of a sudden,
• 29:18
Speaker 5: you get a little funny because you're thinking, well, wait
• 29:20
Speaker 5: a minute, I'm I'm I'm Walter Payton. You know, you know,
• 29:24
Speaker 5: and when you don't have that and everybody's just doing
• 29:28
Speaker 5: their best, that quarterback that can live in that space. Man,
• 29:34
Speaker 5: Now you now you're talking about you're talking about a
• 29:37
  Speaker 5: Super Bowl contending.
• 29:38
Speaker 6: Hey, we well speaking of the quarterbacks. Now let's go
• 29:42
Speaker 6: to the flip. So let's go to the defense for
• 29:43
Speaker 6: both both both teams. You you were asking or you
• 29:46
Speaker 6: kind of threw it out there in our text right
• 29:48
Speaker 6: about can defense win championships?
• 29:51
  Speaker 7: What's your what's your opinions? I'm do you think that's
• 29:54
Speaker 7: the reason these two teams are there or not? Because
• 29:56
Speaker 7: I've got some stats here if you want one, you're ready.
• 29:59
  Speaker 3: I really don't I think that they're there. I think
• 30:01
Speaker 3: the game has changed a little bit.
• 30:03
  Speaker 5: I think I think it's you need you need a
• 30:07
Speaker 5: consistent defense. But I think you need a great quarterback.
• 30:10
  Speaker 5: I think if you've got a great quarterback, he's going
• 30:13
Speaker 5: to help you from the defensive side of defense win
• 30:18
  Speaker 5: a game.
• 30:19
Speaker 3: I'm not saying they can't. I think defense wins championship.
• 30:23
Speaker 3: And I've heard that a long time. But here's the thing.
• 30:25
Speaker 3: I think it looks different.
• 30:27
Speaker 5: So now you don't have to have a Chicago Bears
• 30:29
Speaker 5: defense where I'm essentially not not letting anybody score throughout
• 30:33
Speaker 5: the season. What happens now is that it's almost like
• 30:36
Speaker 5: a Ben break Ben, but don't break theory. And what
• 30:39
Speaker 5: I think, what I think is what I think is
• 30:42
Speaker 5: the mark of a good defense. They have timely turnovers,
• 30:45
Speaker 5: so defense a good defense. Now they're going to turn
• 30:47
Speaker 5: you over. So whether it's a they hit you the
• 30:50
Speaker 5: punch and make you fumble, whether they get an interception,
• 30:52
Speaker 5: whether they make a key stop to make you get
• 30:55
Speaker 5: a turnover, and downs because a lot of teams go
• 30:57
Speaker 5: for it on fourth down here. So that's the mark
• 30:59
Speaker 5: of a good defense to me. And I think, to me,
• 31:02
Speaker 5: far as this game was concerned, and Seattle hits too,
• 31:04
Speaker 5: and now you got to hit, yeah, and Seattle hit.
• 31:06
Speaker 5: So I think whoever can get one or two turnovers
• 31:10
Speaker 5: and maybe a timely turnover on downs.
• 31:12
Speaker 3: That's who go in the game.
• 31:13
Speaker 6: See, that's kind of how it was going to enter
• 31:16
Speaker 6: into this conversation, guys. Is because there's so much talk
• 31:19
Speaker 6: about the quarterbacks, don't you kind of forget about what
• 31:23
Speaker 6: kind of defense the Seahawks and the Patriots put out
• 31:26
Speaker 6: on the field this past season. Real quick, I'm going
• 31:29
Speaker 6: to go through these rankings in the league for Seattle
• 31:32
Speaker 6: and New England throughout the season. During the regular season games,
• 31:36
Speaker 6: Seattle was for scoring defense, Seattle was first, New England fifth,
• 31:42
Speaker 6: total defense, Seahawks sixth, New England eighth. Rushing defense Seattle
• 31:48
Speaker 6: was third in the league, New England seventh. Passing defense,
• 31:52
Speaker 6: Seattle was tenth New England's ninth. Sacks Seattle had forty
• 31:56
Speaker 6: seven total, with New England having thirty five takeaways Seattle
• 32:00
Speaker 6: twenty five, New England nineteen.
• 32:02
Speaker 7: Those numbers are pretty tight.
• 32:03
Speaker 3: Crazy, that's top ten and everything.
• 32:05
Speaker 5: Yeah, And the thing is you got middle of the road, Like,
• 32:08
Speaker 5: none of these quarterbacks, they aren't great quarterbacks, but you've
• 32:12
Speaker 5: seen that defense, right, And I'm telling you, man, that's
• 32:14
Speaker 5: that'll get you. But because I think some like people
• 32:17
Speaker 5: look at like the score, like the scores are up,
• 32:19
Speaker 5: and obviously you know across the league, you're gonna score
• 32:22
Speaker 5: more points just because you throw the ball more. But
• 32:24
Speaker 5: I'm telling you man them timely turnovers that that hit stick.
• 32:28
Speaker 6: So could it be a low scoring game with two
• 32:31
Speaker 6: quarterbacks that are I mean not average, they're above average.
• 32:34
Speaker 6: Both quarterbacks are good, but they're not the typical Patrick
• 32:37
Speaker 6: Mahomes Tom Brady were used to seeing in the.
• 32:40
Speaker 3: No, man, it's gonna be that. That's a big question.
• 32:43
  Speaker 3: That's a good question. I'm gonna I'm gonna say that.
• 32:51
Speaker 5: I think those that that answer is gonna have to
• 32:54
Speaker 5: be one of those like, Okay, if I'm if I'm
• 32:57
Speaker 5: the team, if I coming in and I'm I'm gonna
• 32:59
Speaker 5: try to run the ball, which is like most teams
• 33:00
Speaker 5: will typically do. You'll try to run the ball to
• 33:03
Speaker 5: start the game out. See how how that's gonna work.
• 33:06
Speaker 5: You look at that and you say, Okay, that's not
• 33:07
  Speaker 5: really working.
• 33:09
Speaker 3: Let's go to some quick, quick game.
• 33:10
Speaker 5: Throw the ball quick and get it, you know, get
• 33:12
Speaker 5: it to a receiver, get it first down, keep the
• 33:15
Speaker 5: ball moving, and then you find out what and where
• 33:19
Speaker 5: you can move the ball, keep the ball score touchdowns,
• 33:24
Speaker 5: and I think it's gonna be in the game. I
• 33:26
Speaker 5: think what they do, how they do it, I think
• 33:29
Speaker 5: it's gonna it's gonna matter once they get out on
• 33:32
Speaker 5: the field. But that makes sense because if you if
• 33:35
Speaker 5: you first series three downs and out, Okay, we're gonna
• 33:40
Speaker 5: come back next next series, maybe you get five players
• 33:45
Speaker 5: and out, you're gonna and you're not really throwing the
• 33:48
Speaker 5: ball that much. At some point you're gonna have to
• 33:50
Speaker 5: start throwing the ball, whether that's slants, hitches, any of
• 33:55
Speaker 5: those kind of things that are quote similar to running
• 33:58
  Speaker 5: the BALLFSE.
• 33:59
  Speaker 3: So I'm.
• 34:01
Speaker 5: Just going to dictate how this game is going to
• 34:04
Speaker 5: be played. And also I would I would also mention
• 34:06
Speaker 5: special teams. I think that you know you're gonna have
• 34:09
Speaker 5: to obviously, because the defense are so stout, you're gonna
• 34:13
Speaker 5: have to score on some field goals. And I also
• 34:16
Speaker 5: say this, man, this is the part of the game
• 34:17
Speaker 5: that everybody leaves out, the punny, the punning. As far
• 34:20
Speaker 5: as if it is a low scoring game, similar to
• 34:23
Speaker 5: what happened in the College Football Championship, where you have
• 34:25
Speaker 5: that field position battle. So if you know, if you
• 34:28
Speaker 5: got a couple of good punts, that can land them
• 34:30
Speaker 5: inside the twenty to ten yard line and they punt
• 34:33
Speaker 5: it back out and you leave the other team with
• 34:34
Speaker 5: good field position. Those things can be easy and quick
• 34:37
Speaker 5: scores for the opposing team.
• 34:39
Speaker 3: So yeah, I'm with you on.
• 34:40
Speaker 5: That's the punters, the punter in the field goal because
• 34:43
Speaker 5: the kickoff how they do it now it's not really
• 34:46
Speaker 5: but the punter and the field goal kicker, those are
• 34:48
  Speaker 5: two vital.
• 34:49
Speaker 3: Important, you know, positions on special teams.
• 34:51
  Speaker 5: And I agree and I and I think I think
• 34:56
Speaker 5: you're going to have to have an impact in in
• 35:00
Speaker 5: that like you can't. You got to take advantage of
• 35:04
Speaker 5: the kick. You know, if it's a punt and it's
• 35:07
Speaker 5: and you got a chance to return it, you need to.
• 35:10
Speaker 5: You know, that's something that you need to make sure
• 35:11
Speaker 5: that you're getting field position because field position is going
• 35:15
Speaker 5: to be key because I'm not sure if we're gonna
• 35:17
Speaker 5: get a whole bunch.
• 35:18
Speaker 3: Of like twenty minute drive.
• 35:23
Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, I don't think either one of these
• 35:25
Speaker 5: teams are that type of team. And also where the
• 35:28
Speaker 5: game is being played at I think could be a
• 35:30
Speaker 5: factor too, because it's in Northern California, so essentially this
• 35:34
Speaker 5: is a home game. For the Seattle Seahawks. Essentially, it's
• 35:37
Speaker 5: a northern California to be whether that's going to be
• 35:42
Speaker 5: similar to what the Sea the Hawks deal with on
• 35:44
Speaker 5: a daily basis, So I think that can be a
• 35:47
Speaker 5: predictive time zone and different things of that nature. Well,
• 35:50
Speaker 5: I one of the one of the things that they'll do,
• 35:52
Speaker 5: they'll get out early enough to make sure.
• 35:56
  Speaker 3: They can get.
• 35:59
  Speaker 8: That.
• 36:01
  Speaker 3: I think.
• 36:01
Speaker 5: So that's what I saw because because they want to
• 36:05
Speaker 5: make sure they can get there. Get no, no, no,
• 36:06
Speaker 5: What I'm asking is like it's two weeks ago, maybe
• 36:10
Speaker 5: a week ago, Like why don't we come today?
• 36:12
  Speaker 7: I don't know. I mean, that's just what I saw
• 36:14
Speaker 7: on ESPN. I'm almost certain that I saw.
• 36:16
Speaker 3: Did you see the same? Yeah, I got a whole week.
• 36:19
Speaker 6: So maybe they were somewhere else for a while and
• 36:21
Speaker 6: they kind of get out of the limelight because you know,
• 36:24
Speaker 6: that's going to be a lot of a lot.
• 36:26
Speaker 3: Of you you can get acclimenting. Yeah yeah, all.
• 36:31
Speaker 6: Right, Well let's talk about the real reason we all
• 36:33
Speaker 6: watched the Super Bowl. We touched on it a minute ago,
• 36:36
Speaker 6: but let's let's dig a little deeper into the halftime show. Okay, yeah, yeah,
• 36:40
Speaker 6: Well we know it's bad Bunny, right, And the reason
• 36:43
Speaker 6: I wanted to kind of bring up the halftime show
• 36:46
Speaker 6: of the Super Bowl. It seems like, guys, every year
• 36:50
Speaker 6: the NFL has a knack and and and probably a
• 36:53
Speaker 6: purpose I don't know, but they always seem to pick
• 36:55
Speaker 6: controversial acts or singers.
• 36:59
Speaker 7: Or somebody would have creat something something. Yeah.
• 37:01
Speaker 6: Yeah, So it seems like there's always this uh and
• 37:04
Speaker 6: maybe they do it on purpose to get people to
• 37:06
Speaker 6: talk about the game and talk about the you know,
• 37:08
Speaker 6: the the chatter, get the interest of the people that
• 37:11
Speaker 6: aren't typical football fans. I don't know, But this year
• 37:14
Speaker 6: it's it's Puerto Rican superstar Brad Bunny.
• 37:16
Speaker 7: It's the headliner. I'm sure you guys have heard that.
• 37:19
Speaker 6: You know, he's he's pretty outspoken with some political issues.
• 37:23
Speaker 7: I'm not going to get into detail about it, right right,
• 37:29
  Speaker 7: I'm not.
• 37:29
Speaker 6: Going to get into it, but but just the fact
• 37:31
Speaker 6: that there are some political groups out there that I
• 37:33
Speaker 6: won't name either, that are they're going to provide an
• 37:36
Speaker 6: alternative halftime show with their own acts and their own whatever. So,
• 37:43
Speaker 6: so what's your opinion, Like it seems like every year
• 37:46
Speaker 6: we're dealing with something in the in the Super Bowl
• 37:48
Speaker 6: halftime show. Do you think it's something that that they
• 37:50
Speaker 6: do purposely or do you think it's just a combination
• 37:54
Speaker 6: of the society we're in hew and and.
• 37:57
Speaker 5: Let me, let me get let me I'm gonna answer
• 38:00
Speaker 5: this first because because I could be crazy wrong.
• 38:04
Speaker 3: I think they want.
• 38:07
Speaker 5: As much controversial people for the show, yep, to draw
• 38:13
Speaker 5: attention to it. Yep, with the thought of it's going
• 38:19
Speaker 5: to bring those people to watch the game.
• 38:24
  Speaker 7: Not typically wouldn't.
• 38:25
Speaker 3: That that may not that that may not watch it.
• 38:28
Speaker 5: They're gonna watch it one I'm gonna I want to
• 38:31
Speaker 5: watch it and see how bad he or she's gonna be.
• 38:34
Speaker 5: Or I'm gonna watch it to see how good he
• 38:37
Speaker 5: or she's gonna be. And I think that's gonna get
• 38:42
Speaker 5: The idea is to get people to watch the game,
• 38:46
Speaker 5: to bring you to the game. I think the halftime
• 38:50
Speaker 5: is so far away from the game.
• 38:53
  Speaker 3: No, no, no.
• 38:56
Speaker 5: I think it's traditional. It's all of that, it's all commercials,
• 39:00
  Speaker 5: it's all of that. I'm not I don't mean it
• 39:02
Speaker 5: in a in a in a bad way, but their
• 39:05
Speaker 5: their point of reference is to get you to the
• 39:09
  Speaker 5: halftime show.
• 39:11
Speaker 6: Yeah, to watch it because most people the second half,
• 39:13
  Speaker 6: especially if it's a blowout.
• 39:15
Speaker 7: If it's not a close game, a lot of people
• 39:17
  Speaker 7: go to bed.
• 39:17
Speaker 3: Yes, they got it, I think.
• 39:19
Speaker 5: But but I also say, like I think non traditional
• 39:21
Speaker 5: football game excuse me, non traditional football fans.
• 39:24
Speaker 3: They're there for that.
• 39:25
Speaker 5: So if you're not really in the football, you're you're
• 39:28
Speaker 5: gonna watch the game because everybody else watching it. But
• 39:30
Speaker 5: your thing while you're there, your thing is the commercials
• 39:33
Speaker 5: and the so I think it's all.
• 39:34
Speaker 3: You know, starting again.
• 39:36
Speaker 5: Yeah, if you get somebody too to perform at halftime
• 39:42
Speaker 5: that has some controversy that I might.
• 39:45
Speaker 3: Not have heard, I'm probably gonna.
• 39:47
Speaker 5: I'm probably going to watch that, just just just because
• 39:51
Speaker 5: because the advertisement of it and how many times have
• 39:55
Speaker 5: you heard his name? Well, I'll say this like, I'm
• 39:59
Speaker 5: not particularly interested in watching Bad Money. I have no
• 40:02
Speaker 5: interest in his music obviously from where I sit politically, uh,
• 40:07
Speaker 5: you know, probably more in line with my personal views. However,
• 40:12
Speaker 5: even with that being said, I think at sometimes it
• 40:16
Speaker 5: can like wear you down where maybe I just want
• 40:19
Speaker 5: to be in it. I just want the best artists
• 40:21
Speaker 5: possible just to sing happy songs.
• 40:24
  Speaker 4: You know.
• 40:25
Speaker 5: Again, again, it's always good when people use their platform
• 40:28
Speaker 5: and always you know, I supported, but sometimes you just
• 40:32
Speaker 5: kind of like I just want an escape from that.
• 40:35
Speaker 3: Yeah, those three or four hours, I'm with you.
• 40:38
Speaker 7: So you know, So what was your favorite halftime show?
• 40:42
Speaker 5: I like Beyonce. I like Beyonce and Bruno Mars. I
• 40:46
Speaker 5: remember that one. Michael Jackson. Prince was good. I remember
• 40:53
Speaker 5: that one. I mean it was kind of you know,
• 40:55
Speaker 5: he did the Prince thing. But we won't well you gotta,
• 41:02
Speaker 5: we won't put that on.
• 41:03
Speaker 8: There you go, I mean the.
• 41:17
Speaker 7: Watch you don't remember the imagery it rains rain but.
• 41:24
Speaker 3: Field no, no, no, no, I'm not talking about the rain.
• 41:28
Speaker 5: Okay, so no, no, we won't say it on radio
• 41:32
Speaker 5: because we probably can't say that.
• 41:34
Speaker 3: Go back and watch it now with the different eyes.
• 41:37
Speaker 6: But the Florida A and N Marching band, the whole
• 41:40
  Speaker 6: all it was.
• 41:41
Speaker 7: That was my favorite one obviously, but my clip.
• 41:45
Speaker 3: I like that too. So let me be clear about Prince.
• 41:48
Speaker 3: I know I love Prince. I know you do. I mean,
• 41:50
  Speaker 3: I mean you.
• 41:53
Speaker 5: No matter what, wherever and however he performs, is so him.
• 41:59
Speaker 3: That That's why I said he did his Prince thing.
• 42:01
Speaker 7: Yeah he did, sure did his Prince.
• 42:05
  Speaker 3: Fabulous.
• 42:06
Speaker 7: I was there for every every minute of it.
• 42:08
  Speaker 5: That's that's a hard that's a hard sale to make
• 42:11
Speaker 5: that not one of it. And I was as you
• 42:15
Speaker 5: name him. I mean, there's a ton of grain. And
• 42:18
Speaker 5: then the Whitney Houston. Yeah, it wasn't a halftime, but
• 42:21
Speaker 5: it was like the greatest Yes.
• 42:22
Speaker 7: National, which goes back to what you were remember like.
• 42:26
Speaker 3: Getting chills as a kid watching that. So that was
• 42:29
Speaker 3: just like it was amazing, And isn't it amazing that
• 42:32
  Speaker 3: you wait?
• 42:34
Speaker 5: You have to wait till the Super Bowl too to
• 42:40
Speaker 5: love the halftime or wonder or question who's singing the
• 42:45
  Speaker 5: national anthem?
• 42:45
Speaker 3: Because it matters like it matters because it's because they don't.
• 42:50
Speaker 7: They don't put that out there early, do they.
• 42:52
Speaker 3: Just I don't know if I know they put the halftime,
• 42:54
  Speaker 3: so I don't anthem.
• 42:56
  Speaker 7: I don't ever remember that.
• 42:58
  Speaker 3: I don't even know.
• 42:59
Speaker 7: They just kind of it.
• 43:00
Speaker 3: Up, show up, may do we know who's singing?
• 43:03
Speaker 9: How come you are giving any love to doctor dre
• 43:05
  Speaker 9: and snooped?
• 43:06
  Speaker 8: Well that.
• 43:09
Speaker 6: That was my second favorite, but Prince was my whole
• 43:11
Speaker 6: time favorite ship by far.
• 43:13
  Speaker 3: I can't. I don't that that didn't do anything for me. Charlie,
• 43:17
Speaker 3: it's gonna be Charlie Proof that ship.
• 43:19
Speaker 6: Okay, Charlie, but they just don't advertise it as much
• 43:21
  Speaker 6: as they do.
• 43:23
Speaker 9: He's uh, just pop singers. Okay, so he's been popular
• 43:27
Speaker 9: probably I don't know about ten years or so. You've
• 43:29
Speaker 9: probably heard him and just don't realize.
• 43:31
Speaker 5: Hmmm, because I'll go, I'll go, and I'll go and
• 43:35
Speaker 5: look him up and see. Because man, I think you know,
• 43:39
Speaker 5: to be honest, and we can say this, I think
• 43:41
Speaker 5: we all will agree. It's hard to be bad in
• 43:46
Speaker 5: any one of those, whether it's half time.
• 43:50
Speaker 3: Or the national anthem. I mean it's it's.
• 43:52
Speaker 5: I think the only way you can be bad like
• 43:55
Speaker 5: far is not necessarily national anthem because they they generally
• 43:58
Speaker 5: nail that. But but it's uh, if you have like
• 44:02
Speaker 5: mic issues like yeah, I've seen situations.
• 44:05
Speaker 7: You can't really sound. Yeah, but as far.
• 44:09
Speaker 5: As the as far as the artist, yeah, you're getting
• 44:12
Speaker 5: top tier, you know, yeah, you're gett you're getting top tier.
• 44:15
Speaker 5: And Rihanna did a good one too. Rihanna do not.
• 44:20
Speaker 7: But she no, she did have time.
• 44:22
Speaker 6: She didn't have to eagle yeah about three years.
• 44:27
  Speaker 7: Yeah, and I don't think.
• 44:33
Speaker 5: I don't think like any of those kind of performances
• 44:36
Speaker 5: can be bad because the performer knows that this is
• 44:41
Speaker 5: as big as stage as you're probably gonna get, and
• 44:46
Speaker 5: you're going to try to do You're gonna do your best.
• 44:48
Speaker 3: And and then I.
• 44:49
Speaker 5: Think people are more receptive anyway to hear because some
• 44:53
Speaker 5: people may not even like the genre of it, and
• 44:56
Speaker 5: here for the first time to be like, oh.
• 44:58
Speaker 6: That kind of slants whether you like the halftime show
• 45:00
Speaker 6: to what kind of genre you prefer music, you know,
• 45:03
Speaker 6: if it's country or if it's.
• 45:07
  Speaker 7: Yeah, I just don't know. Yeah, I don't know a
• 45:09
  Speaker 7: lot about it.
• 45:10
Speaker 3: He's not he won't be going to watch.
• 45:12
Speaker 7: It, and you know, but I don't know. I just
• 45:14
Speaker 7: don't know a lot of his music.
• 45:15
Speaker 5: I just think that sometimes it's just because of where
• 45:19
Speaker 5: it is and what it's about.
• 45:22
Speaker 3: I think sometimes it can it can just you can
• 45:24
Speaker 3: like it. You know, you might not love it, but
• 45:27
Speaker 3: you can like it. You may not go and get something.
• 45:30
Speaker 5: Yeah, And as long as you give me something that's
• 45:32
Speaker 5: respectable and not crazy and way off the charts, I.
• 45:36
Speaker 3: Just want to show.
• 45:37
Speaker 5: I want to performance, Like, don't just sit there and
• 45:40
Speaker 5: do some average like give me like a stage, give
• 45:44
Speaker 5: me the elaborate like, if you're gonna do the super
• 45:46
Speaker 5: Bowl halftime, make it an event. I want all even
• 45:50
Speaker 5: if I don't like it. So have fireworks and doves and.
• 45:54
Speaker 3: So are you so tigers in line.
• 45:56
Speaker 5: So if I'm out there, if I'm there and I'm
• 46:03
Speaker 5: just standing at the mic singing and my voice is good,
• 46:07
Speaker 5: you ain't good with me. Time I can listen to
• 46:11
Speaker 5: you album, I want to if I want to shove,
• 46:14
Speaker 5: I want you to be flying in the sky, drop
• 46:16
Speaker 5: down from the helicopter.
• 46:18
Speaker 3: Pat come on, give me a show.
• 46:22
Speaker 5: Because to your point, even if I don't like the genre,
• 46:25
Speaker 5: I may like the show. You got to give me
• 46:28
  Speaker 5: a show.
• 46:29
Speaker 3: And and and again. For any artist, you should know,
• 46:33
  Speaker 3: you should know.
• 46:34
Speaker 5: I would like to think that you would know that
• 46:37
Speaker 5: if you were picked for a halftime show, that there
• 46:41
Speaker 5: is a performance part to that is not just singing.
• 46:47
Speaker 3: You gotta perform to come with you. Got to come
• 46:50
  Speaker 3: with it.
• 46:50
Speaker 5: Because the show was awesome and it's almost like you
• 46:59
Speaker 5: get the concert feel to it.
• 47:01
Speaker 3: Got to get a concert.
• 47:02
Speaker 6: So I was just looking through our text thread and
• 47:05
Speaker 6: we had some picks on here. I think Carl put
• 47:08
Speaker 6: out there is that right, Carl? I think you put
• 47:11
Speaker 6: that you thought, and I want to see if Polus
• 47:13
Speaker 6: agrees with it. Seattle Seahawks. No, no, no, no, you didn't
• 47:17
Speaker 6: pick anybody yet, didit.
• 47:18
  Speaker 7: Those were the.
• 47:19
Speaker 3: I'm going to take. But I am going to take
• 47:21
  Speaker 3: the Seahawks.
• 47:22
Speaker 7: You are going to take the Seahawks.
• 47:23
Speaker 3: I'm gonna take the Seahawks too. Okay, Yeah, I think the.
• 47:27
Speaker 7: Well, you know what I'm gonna I'm gonna keep right.
• 47:30
Speaker 6: I'm gonna keep sailing with this ship because I've said
• 47:32
Speaker 6: all along, I really feel like the Seahawks will win
• 47:34
Speaker 6: it all when the playoffs started, So, I mean, I
• 47:36
Speaker 6: think we're all in agreement on that one.
• 47:37
Speaker 3: Yeah. I just think, like I said, I think.
• 47:40
Speaker 7: And I think it might be a blowout.
• 47:41
  Speaker 3: I don't. I don't know about that. I don't.
• 47:44
Speaker 5: I think that's a hard thing to get when you
• 47:47
Speaker 5: when you're talking super Bowl, you don't get a lot
• 47:50
Speaker 5: of super Bowl Yeah, because everybody the thing is man like.
• 47:55
  Speaker 3: I don't.
• 47:56
Speaker 5: Again, from from college all the way to the NFL,
• 47:59
Speaker 5: these games have been fun. Not they have been like
• 48:02
Speaker 5: these top tier games, playoff games, the college football Championship.
• 48:06
Speaker 5: I mean, we've seen some we can say whatever we
• 48:09
Speaker 5: want about stylistically, nil all that stuff, but it's bottom line,
• 48:14
Speaker 5: we've seen some excellent football being played.
• 48:16
Speaker 3: At least in my opinion.
• 48:18
Speaker 7: Yep, I'm with you.
• 48:19
Speaker 5: And and the question becomes before we close out the
• 48:23
Speaker 5: question that I'm interested in, So are we on an
• 48:27
Speaker 5: upward trajectory to successful NFL games going forward? Or are
• 48:38
Speaker 5: the games going to be better? Here's what I say.
• 48:41
Speaker 5: My opinion is yes, But I think what's going what
• 48:45
Speaker 5: they've realized and they're not saying this, but by expanding
• 48:50
Speaker 5: like far as your college football career now, they've essentially
• 48:54
Speaker 5: what they've done college football is now the minor leagues.
• 48:58
  Speaker 3: Yes, because of.
• 48:59
Speaker 5: That, And the thing is they needed to expand it,
• 49:03
Speaker 5: so they actually need players in college for six to
• 49:07
Speaker 5: seven years now, so that way when they come into
• 49:10
Speaker 5: the NFL they can be a lot more developed because
• 49:12
Speaker 5: I think what we're going to see now, you're probably
• 49:15
Speaker 5: going to see shorter overall careers in the NFL, but
• 49:18
Speaker 5: you're going to see a higher level of play because
• 49:21
Speaker 5: they've spent so much time in college. Because if you're
• 49:23
Speaker 5: coming out of college and I'm twenty four to twenty five,
• 49:26
Speaker 5: my body's developed, I'm mature, and I'm probably ready to
• 49:29
Speaker 5: be a professional. I'm used to dealing with money now,
• 49:32
Speaker 5: so again, I may not pay for fifteen to twenty
• 49:35
Speaker 5: and ten years, My career may be six, seven, eight years,
• 49:38
Speaker 5: but you're going to have a tighter impact. And I
• 49:40
Speaker 5: think you're seeing that with offensive line play. You're seeing
• 49:43
Speaker 5: that we're running back play, and I think it's eventually
• 49:46
Speaker 5: basically going to transfer to quarterbacks.
• 49:47
  Speaker 3: I think that's an I think that's.
• 49:48
Speaker 5: A scary issue for the for the eighteen year old
• 49:51
Speaker 5: freshman that might come into the league and be playing
• 49:55
Speaker 5: and now he's going against a straight up grown man.
• 49:58
Speaker 5: But it's not because now you're going to be going
• 50:00
Speaker 5: to Division two. I'm telling you, you're gonna end up
• 50:03
Speaker 5: be going to Division two, Junior College one, Double A,
• 50:05
Speaker 5: and you're gonna have to work your way up to
• 50:06
Speaker 5: Division one, so you're not even probably gonna get there
• 50:08
Speaker 5: to your twenty I'm telling you, I see a system
• 50:11
Speaker 5: with which a change system. If it works that way,
• 50:14
  Speaker 5: I'm with you. But if it doesn't, it's a scary
• 50:18
Speaker 5: situation because I just think you're going to have an
• 50:20
Speaker 5: eighteen year old who's going to be able to play
• 50:22
Speaker 5: on somebody's D one team and playing against somebody twenty
• 50:26
Speaker 5: five years old that should have already been in the league.
• 50:30
  Speaker 3: I think that's I think that's I think that's a risk.
• 50:32
Speaker 6: And we're already seeing the effects of the changes in
• 50:35
Speaker 6: the college, you know, national championship game, and when we
• 50:38
Speaker 6: had two teams that would have never been there a
• 50:41
Speaker 6: few years ago without the implementation of I mean, I
• 50:44
Speaker 6: hate to say it, without the implementation of NIL and
• 50:46
Speaker 6: all the things that go with it, the transfer portal,
• 50:49
Speaker 6: because you had an Indiana and a Miami that took
• 50:51
Speaker 6: full advantage of those things.
• 50:52
Speaker 3: And it worked, and it worked Champion and we get no.
• 50:56
Speaker 5: But the thing is, you could say that we got
• 51:00
Speaker 5: probably the best championship game we've gotten in probably the
• 51:03
Speaker 5: last five ten years.
• 51:04
Speaker 7: And I can say that.
• 51:05
Speaker 5: We can say, but it was it was competitive to
• 51:07
Speaker 5: the end, and it was a beautiful, great game, and.
• 51:10
Speaker 3: It can to me it could be that.
• 51:13
  Speaker 5: But let's let's let's let's just create a real, straightforward
• 51:19
Speaker 5: way that the system is gonna work. Right now, I
• 51:23
  Speaker 5: don't like the system. I don't think it's working. I
• 51:25
  Speaker 5: don't think it's benefiting.
• 51:27
Speaker 7: So we're both fired.
• 51:29
Speaker 5: But I want to know how it ain't working right now?
• 51:32
Speaker 5: I need but no, but how how it worked? But
• 51:35
Speaker 5: the question is how is it not working? I just
• 51:38
  Speaker 5: I just don't. I just don't think it did too.
• 51:41
  Speaker 5: I like, I feel like.
• 51:43
Speaker 6: And I'm the first to say I was wrong, like
• 51:45
Speaker 6: I forgot is wrong too. I was not a fan.
• 51:47
Speaker 6: Now I'm seeing the results, and I like.
• 51:49
Speaker 5: It because the thing is, you're getting mature slayers. You're
• 51:52
Speaker 5: getting paid now. So that way because the things we're
• 51:55
Speaker 5: just sold on, no, no, no, they're gonna get paid. But
• 51:57
Speaker 5: here's the thing is, when was the last time in
• 52:00
Speaker 5: the last let's say five years, we heard about a
• 52:03
Speaker 5: major college football start getting kicked out of school or
• 52:07
Speaker 5: getting suspended from the championship game or or bowl game.
• 52:10
Speaker 5: When was the last time you heard about an NFL
• 52:13
Speaker 5: player like what happened to the guy from the Raiders
• 52:16
Speaker 5: or Ray Lewis or guy from the Falcons getting in
• 52:19
Speaker 5: trouble prior to Super Bowl or playoffs? You don't really
• 52:23
Speaker 5: hear those stories to that degree. I had asked that
• 52:25
Speaker 5: question a couple of shows back about you know, you
• 52:29
Speaker 5: don't hear college athletes getting kicked out of school or academics,
• 52:34
Speaker 5: not major guys, not major guys, And if it's somebody.
• 52:37
Speaker 7: That AI helps with that.
• 52:41
Speaker 3: You know, he AI.
• 52:43
  Speaker 5: Helps a lot and I and I can I can
• 52:45
Speaker 5: appreciate that, and and I think that's a good thing.
• 52:49
Speaker 5: But at the at the core of it, how you
• 52:52
Speaker 5: know why and how is this happening? I think when
• 52:55
Speaker 5: you do that, if you get into the digging. While
• 52:58
Speaker 5: it's good, it may not be. I think it's good
• 53:01
Speaker 5: because the NFL needs it. You need it because the
• 53:04
Speaker 5: NFL has shown how cheap they are because they don't
• 53:06
Speaker 5: want to supplement a real minor league system. I mean,
• 53:10
Speaker 5: they have the UFL, but it's not I don't even
• 53:13
Speaker 5: know if they get any players from there. They do,
• 53:15
Speaker 5: they do, but it's not something they can't get a
• 53:18
Speaker 5: fan base attached to that, So that's gonna be a
• 53:21
Speaker 5: long slow grow. It's not like baseball where you just
• 53:24
Speaker 5: enjoy going to the minor league game. So it's it's
• 53:27
Speaker 5: hard to get a fan base attached to these kind
• 53:30
Speaker 5: of made up teams when they're kind of always in
• 53:32
Speaker 5: and out. So they're going to have to have the
• 53:34
Speaker 5: minor league system incorporated into college. So that's the only
• 53:37
Speaker 5: way this thing is. To me, it's the only way
• 53:39
Speaker 5: it's going to survive and grow. And I can see
• 53:41
Speaker 5: a situation in which now particularly football and basketball players,
• 53:44
Speaker 5: men women, basketball players and football players actually are sort
• 53:48
Speaker 5: of employees of the school and not tied to academics.
• 53:51
Speaker 3: You know what I'm say, because.
• 53:52
Speaker 5: It's gonna be a situation in which, what like what
• 53:54
Speaker 5: Dianna is doing, We're not gonna get We're gonna get fined,
• 53:57
Speaker 5: We're you're gonna have to sign two and three year
• 53:59
Speaker 5: contracts where you're just not gonna be able to have
• 54:01
Speaker 5: the movement. I do think that Dion is well ahead
• 54:06
Speaker 5: of the system in what he's doing and far as
• 54:09
Speaker 5: to finding we're talking about him finding players for like,
• 54:12
Speaker 5: you know, missing practice and all that others. I think
• 54:14
Speaker 5: you because you need that because at some point, if
• 54:16
Speaker 5: you pay me a bunch of money, I might be
• 54:18
Speaker 5: feeling myself and thinking like, oh, I don't need to
• 54:20
Speaker 5: get invict ue today, I'm gonna hang out. But dang,
• 54:23
Speaker 5: how much how many problems are you having where you
• 54:25
  Speaker 5: gotta do that?
• 54:27
  Speaker 3: Come on.
• 54:29
Speaker 5: Running, don't carry that no more. I gotta go on
• 54:31
Speaker 5: my mocket. I would like to think that it does.
• 54:34
Speaker 5: I would like to think that it does. All right, Well,
• 54:36
Speaker 5: ladies and gentlemen, I hope you enjoyed the show and
• 54:38
Speaker 5: we will be back again next week.
• 54:40
Speaker 2: You gotta work by sign, it's mine. Gotta show. Everybody
• 54:44
Speaker 2: is my sign. You gotta work right sign. Another mind
• 54:49
Speaker 2: who talk to die this day line, don't tell you gotta.
• 54:51
Speaker 1: Work, you gotta work. You gotta work. You gotta work. Yeah,
• 55:00
Speaker 1: you gotta birth. Yeah, you gotta work.
• 55:02
Speaker 2: I'm going hard like Kobe inside of gym.
• 55:05
Speaker 3: I'm a dim in the dirt.
• 55:06
  Speaker 2: Ain't in gym.
• 55:08
Speaker 3: Going for greatness. I gotta win by any means.
• 55:11
Speaker 2: Because I don't know when I'll be back again. Going hard,
• 55:13
Speaker 2: I gotta get it.
• 55:14
  Speaker 3: Man, I can't even lie.
• 55:15
Speaker 2: I put in some much sweat. My body ain't running. Try,
• 55:18
Speaker 2: I said so many times now. I don't want to
• 55:20
Speaker 2: cry and ize coming easy to me. And I had
• 55:23
Speaker 2: to do is try. I had to work, put myself
• 55:25
Speaker 2: through it, even though I knew it hurt. Look at
• 55:27
Speaker 2: you doing it right there. It dont matter who doing first.
• 55:29
Speaker 2: Never say yourself short, know your work. I knew I
• 55:32
Speaker 2: wasn't the one that sends birth. I had to work,
• 55:35
Speaker 2: ry shine, it's mine, gotta show. Everybody is my time here.
• 55:39
Speaker 2: You gotta work crying shine, love, a mind who talk
• 55:43
Speaker 2: and die because day Lie don't talk.
• 55:45
Speaker 3: You gotta work, You gotta work.
