- 0:00The Nets lose their star player, they lose their star closer.
- 0:04The Nets are in a bad spot right now.
- 0:12I've never seen a Ranger team quick before the Olympics.
- 0:15We're going to be looking at Aaron.
- 0:16Judge. And saying that he can't win the
- 0:17big game, Michael Jordan said. I played 82 games.
- 0:21You don't see LeBron doing that, but Jack Hughes did after
- 0:25getting his teeth knocked out to play every single shift he got
- 0:27back in the game. Hello.

- 2:34The weather out here I I don't know it's every time I come on
- 2:38this show I'm trying to figure out is it going to be hot?
- 2:41Is it going to be cold? Is it going to be normal?
- 2:43Normal to me is about 40° and today it was normal.
- 2:47So as you can see, I'm wearing a nice short sleeve shirt and
- 2:50joining enjoying the weather and you know, I'm just enjoying
- 2:55everything that's going on. There's nothing really going on
- 2:57in sports. The Yankees get knocked out.
- 3:00I mean, knocked out by one run, one to nothing.
- 3:03We'll get into that a little bit later.
- 3:04Athletics beat the Yankees. The Yankees pitching has been
- 3:07superb, but they're not hitting timely as the Yankees have done
- 3:12this year in and year out. It's been a big problem for the
- 3:15New York Yankees finding a way to get contact on the ball, but
- 3:20we'll get into that a little bit later in the Show.
- 3:22Q What's up, man? What's going on, man?
- 3:25Yeah, the Yankees definitely took a hard loss for that ain't
- 3:28man. So I'm a little down about that.
- 3:30But other than that, man, that's a good Thursday.
- 3:33I'm ready to light you up. Get the fans what they came to
- 3:36see a massacre. And yeah, let's get to it, baby.
- 3:40Let's go. Light me up.
- 3:43What do you think this is like, you know, race or something?
- 3:46We're going into a, you know, a race car race, a NASCAR race or
- 3:50we're we're playing, we're actually playing in the Masters
- 3:53right now because Masters are going on right now and we have a
- 3:58good three days left. We got Friday, Saturday and
- 4:01Sunday to find out who are champions going to be.
- 4:04We'll get into that a little bit later.
- 4:06I, I'm not a golf fan, but I know there's a lot of fans out
- 4:09there that absolutely enjoy this time of year, especially the
- 4:14Masters. You have the US Open, tennis is
- 4:17right around the corner when the summer comes around.
- 4:19So I like the tennis. So with, with all the different
- 4:22big events in the big title games and, and what do they call
- 4:26the, the big majors? Majors, They're majors, majors,
- 4:29majors. So we're getting to the masters
- 4:32a little bit later in the show. Tennis again, this is really the
- 4:36start of the tennis season. It's it's like a couple of weeks
- 4:39away and and as the big, the big majors come around Wimbledon,
- 4:43which is in the summer, the US Open.
- 4:45So well, we we will get into that as we move forward for the
- 4:50rest of the, the summertime. But anyways, all right, concrete
- 4:54triangle carousel. Welcome to the jungle.
- 4:58We got fun and games. You know where you are in the
- 5:02jungle, baby. Welcome.
- 5:04I'm trying to put Tiger Bomb on this jungle's nuts to the
- 5:06concrete jungle carousel. I am absolutely lost from the
- 5:17first segment. I am completely lost.
- 5:19Let's. We're they're going to keep you
- 5:21lost a little bit. We're going to get these
- 5:22carousels spinning real quick. We got to get into it.
- 5:26Let's start it off with some baseball.
- 5:29Here it is for tonight. I can get the right view.
- 5:32Here we go, right there. All right, and I'll pop up here
- 5:36for Q Take a look. The Yankees today almost got no
- 5:41hit by the Athletics. They just lost the series two
- 5:43games to 1/2. I guess the Sacramento A's, even
- 5:47though I don't think they're legally allowed to call
- 5:48themselves the Sacramento A's and see that you're going to
- 5:50figure that one out for US. One hit, they lost two games, a
- 5:54lot of strikeouts. The A's were not supposed to
- 5:57have a good pitching step. They were supposed to have a
- 5:59good lineup, but this was the pitching that got the Yankees
- 6:02done in in this series. Kind of curious how that
- 6:05happened. Here's the here's the back and
- 6:07forth banter on this. I it's early in the season.
- 6:10The Yankees have not hit the ball in consistency.
- 6:14Now we knew going into the the season, we're wondering where
- 6:17the offense is going to come in this lineup.
- 6:19Giancarlo Stanton has been very good for the Yankees early in
- 6:22the season. Bellinger has been very good in
- 6:25the early in the season. Aaron Judge is trying is trying
- 6:28to figure out what's going on with his bat.
- 6:30But this lineup has been hot and cold and and throughout the last
- 6:34couple of years, this this lineup, when they get guys in
- 6:37men, guys in scoring position has a problem getting those guys
- 6:41to score. And that's the problem with the
- 6:43Yankees right now. Again, it's the Oakland
- 6:45Athletics. As the season progresses and it
- 6:48gets a little warmer, I think you're going to see more home
- 6:50runs. You're going to see more hits.
- 6:52I'm not worried about the Yankees offense.
- 6:54It's just everybody was talking about how well the Yankees were
- 6:57playing and at one point they were seven and one, and now all
- 7:00of a sudden they're eight and four and we're worried about,
- 7:03oh, my God, are the Yankees falling apart right in front of
- 7:05our eyes? It's early in the season.
- 7:07Did they look good in the last two games?
- 7:09No, but again, it's still, they're trying to get their feet
- 7:12under them. It's still very cold.
- 7:14It's, what, 40° outside right now?
- 7:16When it gets warmer, the ball will start traveling and you're
- 7:20going to see more home runs for the New York Yankees.
- 7:22Yeah, it's only a matter of time before they were going to like
- 7:23flop against a bad pitching step.
- 7:25It's not going to happen so long because the Yankees pitching is
- 7:27still holding its own and I think the Yankees bats will find
- 7:30it eventually. One bad pitching stuff is going
- 7:31to have one good performance a year and under. 62 games and
- 7:34they won a game when Schlittler was on the mound and he didn't
- 7:36pitch. Well, they still found a way to
- 7:38win that game. Come back in the 8th inning, got
- 7:41four runs and won that game. Could you imagine if they got
- 7:43swept by the A's? Oh yeah.
- 7:46I think if judge don't figure it out and and lead the team, I
- 7:49think they're going to have struggle from but but struggle
- 7:52from the beginning and then other scream struggle in the
- 7:56beginning of the season. But I think that they've been
- 7:59playing well overall as far as the pitching wise, but they got
- 8:02to, they got to hit the ball man.
- 8:05Season's early. It's too cold out to be playing
- 8:06baseball. We'll see how it goes.
- 8:08As if things warm up the Mets. This isn't actually, this is
- 8:12actually more of an economic story.
- 8:14I sent this one to Speedy. He couldn't believe it.
- 8:16So, Steve. Steve Cohen took shots at Mets
- 8:19fans. If you remember back at the end
- 8:21of January, he decided, you know, he, he said that many fans
- 8:25that won free ticket giveaways didn't go.
- 8:28He believes that 58% of the fans that won tickets did not go to
- 8:33the games. He's so frustrated with this, he
- 8:36started tweeting about it earlier today.
- 8:38He's surprised about how some of the new offseason editions
- 8:41haven't spawned more attendance overall.
- 8:44And it's really for me as a economics teacher who's taught
- 8:48it for a number of years, you, you wonder what it what the
- 8:51incentive is behind not going to a free game.
- 8:54And you realize if there wasn't any value to it, treat it as
- 8:58valuable. And it's a very interesting
- 9:00dynamic. I.
- 9:01I can answer this question. Brandon Nimmo was a fan
- 9:03favorite. Pete Alonzo was a fan favorite.
- 9:07So who did you add in the offseason?
- 9:09Simeons. I'm not too excited about that.
- 9:13Polanco. Are you kidding me?
- 9:14From Seattle. Nobody even knows who Jorge
- 9:17Polanco is. Then you bring in Beau
- 9:19Bouchette. You're moving into third base.
- 9:20Yeah, he's a great player. You won a hitting title, batting
- 9:23title, great. But this is a guy that's been on
- 9:26and off, can't stay healthy. And then you had Peralta at the
- 9:29tail end of the offseason. Great pitcher, but still has not
- 9:34pitched in New York. So what did you do?
- 9:37You lost 2 fan favorite players years for four guys that are to
- 9:43me are not better than the two guys you lost.
- 9:45That's the reason why and, and as far as I'm concerned when it
- 9:48comes to economics. Well, if you're charging $10.00
- 9:51for a hot dog and $30.00 for, you know, a meal, a nugget meal
- 9:56or you're going to Shake Shack and buying a hamburger for
- 9:59$20.00. I mean, am I really excited
- 10:03about going to a Mets game? I mean, I go to Carvel when I
- 10:05went to a Met game and it's like $12.00 for a Carvel hat.
- 10:09Come on, it's so expensive. They're not the Yankees.
- 10:13I got news for you. And until the A, until the Mets
- 10:16start winning consistently, they did it last year early in the
- 10:19season. They were hotter than the
- 10:20Yankees. Last season, early in the
- 10:22season, I actually lost the bet with one of my friends out in
- 10:25the hospital because I said that the Yankees would have a better
- 10:28record than the Mets. In the 1st 25 games, the Mets
- 10:30had the better record. But what happened to the Mets at
- 10:32the tail end of the season? They had a catastrophical,
- 10:36catastrophic loss and they lost almost every single game.
- 10:40They lost their big time hitters, the only person that
- 10:42can hit with Soto, and that's what happened.
- 10:44They fell apart. Yeah, that's where the
- 10:45expectations came in too. If you're judging a season.
- 10:48Oh, are they really going to be as good as their advertise?
- 10:51Even though they spent a lot in the offseason, they made all
- 10:53these roster, I guess, rearrangements pretty much last
- 10:56year. It was OK Mets went to the NLCS,
- 10:58they went to go get 1 soda. We're going to get early season
- 11:01attendance. And that's what Steve Cohen was
- 11:02hinting at. And you should have known when
- 11:04you're losing a lot of these fan favorite players, Pete Alonso,
- 11:06Brandon Nimmo, what's going to. Happen Pete Alonso was the
- 11:08biggest fan favorite to lose a player like that to go to the
- 11:13Baltimore Orioles. And I know a lot of people were
- 11:16not happy with Stearns. Stearns is on the hot seat.
- 11:20Say whatever you want. If this team does not make the
- 11:23playoffs this year, Stearns should be fired.
- 11:25I know he's Steve Cohen's Uncle Stevie's butt buddy.
- 11:29It's like a son to him. But if I'm a fan, I do not want
- 11:32to. I do not want to see David
- 11:34Stearns running my organization next year after all the money
- 11:37this guy has invested into all these players.
- 11:39Right. And you mentioned like, but I
- 11:40would say besides Bichette, all the other players that they
- 11:43added are not like these fan fun players.
- 11:45Like Simeon's a more fundamentally sound guy.
- 11:47Laplan goes, he's a journeyman and Roberts never on the field.
- 11:50So Bichette's really the only fun one, and he's not even
- 11:52hitting right. Now, did Baltimore actually
- 11:54overpay Pete Alonso? No.
- 11:55No they didn't. No.
- 11:56Market value. It was a market value value
- 11:59contract and he goes to Baltimore.
- 12:01And one of the main reasons why Pete Alonzo did not play for
- 12:04Team USA is he wanted to get ready for the season.
- 12:07That says a lot about who he is as a player.
- 12:10He was the one that told the Mets that I'm getting rid of all
- 12:12my social medias because I want to stand for something.
- 12:15I want to make sure that I am concentrating on the game, not
- 12:18concentrating on what's going on around me.
- 12:21That's the leader and your polar bear.
- 12:23As the Mets gave him the nickname Polar Bear, you let him
- 12:27go to the Baltimore Orioles so we can die there.
- 12:30Great. All right, let's let's pick up
- 12:34the pace on the carousel. We have a guest coming in soon,
- 12:36I believe. So let's take a look at quickly
- 12:40at basketball. We're not going to talk about
- 12:41the Nets because let's face there's no reason to at this
- 12:44point till we get to the. Track when they beat the Bucks.
- 12:48I got something for you on the Bucks late, late late tonight.
- 12:51But the Knicks, Speedy's got an interesting 1 here.
- 12:55Mike Brown just keeps doing the old Tom Thibodeau thing and
- 12:58playing the same starting lineup no matter what, and they only
- 13:01have a + 1.1 net rating this season.
- 13:05That lineup is Brunson, Hart, Bridges and Nobi and Towns.
- 13:09The biggest issue that that lineup has is they don't put
- 13:13centers on Towns anymore. If you put a center on Towns,
- 13:16guess what? He beats them every time.
- 13:19He has offensive efficiency of a 114.
- 13:21But if you put a forward on Towns or a big wing and you put
- 13:24the center on Josh Hart, who's not much of a three-point
- 13:27threat, which is what teams do, it goes down to an 83, which is
- 13:31way below average in the NBA. Combine that with a lack of
- 13:34defense at times more than at times, you kind of see, I don't
- 13:40know, maybe speed. He's right.
- 13:41Thibodeau Redux 2 point O here running it into the ground.
- 13:46I do not agree with that. First of all, if you look at
- 13:48Mike Brown, he his team has a top ten offense and a top 10
- 13:53defense. How many teams right now in the
- 13:54NBA are doing that? And, and right now, if you look
- 13:57at Mike Brown, Mike Brown is one win away from passing or tying
- 14:02Pat Riley for most wins in his first season with the New York
- 14:05Knicks. He's already breaking records.
- 14:07Now we have to see what Mike Brown going to do in the
- 14:10playoffs and how is he going How is he going to lead this team
- 14:13and lead this team to battle against some of the elite teams
- 14:16in the NBA? If he does, he's had a great
- 14:18season first season. What do you want him to do?
- 14:21What more do you want this guy to do?
- 14:22They already has they already have fifty wins.
- 14:25They have a chance to win 55 to 56 games.
- 14:28How many Nick coaches have ever done that in their first year?
- 14:31I mean it's it's pretty impressive what Mike Brown's
- 14:33doing right now. I don't care about statistics.
- 14:36Still one of the best defenses in the league right now, top
- 14:38five and and one of in the top 10 offenses in all the in the
- 14:41whole league. And how many teams are doing
- 14:43that right in FBI? Maybe 3, maybe three teams are
- 14:47in the top ten in both statistics and both offensive
- 14:50defense. It's been a very impressive
- 14:52first year for Mike Brown. Yeah, the big key I think will
- 14:54not. I'm not as worried about Towns
- 14:56when it comes to those playoff matches.
- 14:57There will be times he will be able to get height advantage and
- 14:59also be able to be powerful on like smaller forwards that are
- 15:03maybe they're matching up with threes.
- 15:04But Josh Hart, rotating him around and try to be strategic
- 15:06with him if you're going to play him that much, will be a big key
- 15:09that I think have to get it going.
- 15:10Because Fish, you talked about it last month too.
- 15:12You're talking about them playing the Draymond Green role
- 15:14with him essentially trying to be a facilitator because he's
- 15:16not going to be able to outshoot guys that are that much bigger
- 15:19than him. But if they can rotate him
- 15:20around get spacing I think that'll be a help still.
- 15:23Yeah, I think they're front runners but and I think they're
- 15:26running off the momentum from last year, but they are doing
- 15:28well because she's in regards to winning games and whatnot.
- 15:31But I think that the hype and expectation of them getting back
- 15:34to the Eastern constant finals is just behind us.
- 15:38So I would just say Towns is not going to be a true big man.
- 15:41So that's going to always be the kryptonite to them being
- 15:44successful and deep in the playoffs.
- 15:47I hope you're wrong, but I don't.
- 15:48Think I'll be. I hope I will too.
- 15:50But. I still think you guys match up
- 15:52bad against us. We'll see tonight.
- 15:54They're playing tonight. The it's early, it's early.
- 15:59All right, let's move on to football, everyone's favorite
- 16:02sport. Very important that we get into
- 16:06a couple of things here. The Giants signed this guard,
- 16:10another player from the Ravens. His name is I forget where is
- 16:15his first name is Fal Le Le is his last name Daniel Fal Lele
- 16:19Fal Lele. Sorry, he you know, not a not a
- 16:23great guard, but 68380 right. That tells you a number one
- 16:31thing as a football coach me, I know they're running gap scheme
- 16:34queue. I know if they're got the big
- 16:37boys, they are running power. They are bringing back, you
- 16:41know, the Harbaugh daddy, the Grandpa Harbaugh style of
- 16:44football, football counter tray, power, Smash Mouth.
- 16:49And that's very exciting to me as a Giants fan.
- 16:52I'd love to see that brand of football.
- 16:54Do you think the Giants can go back to being a Smash Mouth
- 16:57team? Not what they're running game
- 16:59they have right now. You don't even know if Scataboo
- 17:02is going to be 100% healthy. Who's their other running back,
- 17:05Tracy? They don't have dominant running
- 17:08backs. It doesn't matter how big their
- 17:10offensive line is going to be or who's running behind them.
- 17:12If they don't have a star running back, then they're not
- 17:15going to be able to play that power game.
- 17:17He and Derrick Henry over there in Baltimore last year.
- 17:20Derrick Henry, there's nobody on this team right now that even
- 17:24compares to Derek Henry. I know you're a big Giant fan.
- 17:27I know you're going to appreciate everything John
- 17:29Horrible is bringing to this team.
- 17:31Here's what I'm telling you. It don't matter what he's
- 17:34bringing, no matter how big the offensive line is, if they don't
- 17:37have a great running back, Jameer Love, that's what they
- 17:41should be doing. If the if the Giants want to
- 17:43have a unique running game and they're looking to be a dominant
- 17:46run team, well, they got to go after the biggest offensive
- 17:49option in this year's draft, and that's Jeremiah.
- 17:52I love that's it. That's the only way the Giants
- 17:55are going to be elite over there, no matter how big their
- 17:58offensive line is. I was talking with the early
- 18:00officials about all the random running backs with the Ravens
- 18:02have cycled through their system.
- 18:03Now all of them had good, either good power or good vision.
- 18:05But again, we'll, we'll see what the Giants, they have enough of
- 18:08the guys that have the vision to make the gap scheme work in.
- 18:11Do you think they have an elite running game?
- 18:12No, I don't think they have an elite running game.
- 18:14You think this is a good running game?
- 18:16I I think Harbaugh's track record with guys I do.
- 18:18Think it's a good running game? I do not.
- 18:20I definitely think it's a good running.
- 18:21I run Tracy 1000 scrimmage yards two straight.
- 18:24Seasons. In his two years in the league,
- 18:26he's their backup running back. Yeah, talk to him.
- 18:28Yeah. So listen, I, I yeah, I think
- 18:30his fools go. But I think, you know, I don't
- 18:32think I think Earl, he you thought he was trying to say it
- 18:35was going to be like top five. I think Fish just wanted you to
- 18:38confer whether or not they can ask the gaps game and actually
- 18:40run the ball like the New York Football Giants is is known.
- 18:43For they will not. Like they're supposed.
- 18:45To they definitely will they have to What do you need them?
- 18:49They're in a division right now where Washington's going to be a
- 18:52better running game, the Dallas Cowboys are going to be a better
- 18:55running game, and the Eagles are going to be a better running
- 18:58game. So please, they're not even the
- 18:59best running team in their division.
- 19:01Please. I'm not so sold on Washington,
- 19:04but. I am, I am.
- 19:05I think Washington. I, I do.
- 19:07I like Washington. I like Washington very much so
- 19:10this year, as a matter of fact, Washington makes the playoffs
- 19:13this year. Oh, oh, you should have saved
- 19:15that for our next segment after the guest do so.
- 19:18Today. That's the.
- 19:21Washington, Victor. The playoffs would be a deuce of
- 19:22the day for the Giants fans. All right, I want to talk about
- 19:26The Jets real quick. And The Jets had Where is the?
- 19:31Jets probably something bad cuz like fish likes to throw those
- 19:34out. No.
- 19:35It's good. Good for the Giants, bad for The
- 19:37Jets. About the fact that, you know,
- 19:41they were so bad last year, they have #2 pick in the draft, I
- 19:43figured and I. Figured that that's where he's
- 19:45going. And it's a lot of people are
- 19:48debating it's either Bailey or Reese.
- 19:51That's it. That's the decision between the
- 19:53two of them. That's what we're hearing on the
- 19:55latest big board on The Athletic by Dame Bruegler.
- 19:59He released it today. The Beast guide, everyone's
- 20:02ranked #1 guide. He has Reese as the number one
- 20:05player in the draft over every single guy.
- 20:07He thinks he's going to be a superstar.
- 20:10What do you think about Reese going to?
- 20:12I like Reese. We'll have to see where they're
- 20:14going to use him. He could.
- 20:16He could be used as a linebacker.
- 20:17He could be used in many different styles of defense.
- 20:20Now I I want to see him. He thinks he's an edge rusher.
- 20:23I think you can use him as a guy that can what we see.
- 20:26Michael Parsons, when he was with the Cowboys in the
- 20:28beginning, they moved them all over the line.
- 20:30I think that's what you're going to have to do with Reese.
- 20:32Let him feel confident, let him feel comfortable on that
- 20:36defense. And then if you believe he's an
- 20:38elite rusher, then you put him on the edge all the time like
- 20:41they did with Michael Parsons in the beginning.
- 20:43Michael Parsons was a linebacker.
- 20:45They moved him inside, they moved them on the outside, they
- 20:47moved them all over that line. I think that's what Reese is.
- 20:51I think to me, athletically gifted.
- 20:53He's more athletically gifted than Michael Parsons was coming
- 20:57out of the draft. Yeah, and the versatility should
- 20:59not make a difference when it comes to the position.
- 21:01I know everyone's worried about the raw position being a big
- 21:03deal. He's that explosive, he's that
- 21:04talented in two positions. And The Jets are not one pass
- 21:08rusher wave, are they? Oh, I have to go take the sure
- 21:10thing. Yeah, Bailey's more polished.
- 21:12He's got four years compared to like, he's playing a natural
- 21:14position more, but he's still in his straights so much more raw
- 21:17in some areas than Reese's. Yeah, I think they'll be good.
- 21:21We're going with Reese. I think he's going to have to
- 21:23put on some weight. I would not address what Earl
- 21:25said far as him being better than Michael Parson, but I do
- 21:28think that the kid could be good as a good as rusher if he put
- 21:31some more weight on. I don't necessarily think they
- 21:33will use it as much as a linebacker, but definitely as an
- 21:36airs rusher. They'll need somebody to kind
- 21:38of, you know, attempt to get to the quarterback.
- 21:41But why does he have? Why does he have to put on some
- 21:44rate? Wait, right now he's 240.
- 21:46He was 240. 40 ain't gonna cut it.
- 21:48He's 2. 46 He's 240. Six.
- 21:51Really. By the way, he's heavier than
- 21:54Michael Parsons was coming out of the draft.
- 21:56He's not talented. You just said he's the bottom
- 21:59better talented. I, I absolutely believe that he
- 22:01is. I absolutely believe he is.
- 22:03So the thing that before we move on from him, I, I was listening
- 22:06and reading a bunch of about him and he played the joker role in
- 22:10that. That's kind of like that strong
- 22:11side stand up outside linebacker that he could be down with a
- 22:14hand down, but he's usually stand up, his feet are switched
- 22:17and he's going to and, or he could, you know, if they don't
- 22:20have the right formation, he becomes a 43 linebacker, right?
- 22:23A strong side linebacker. All you have to do is go from
- 22:25over to under and now he's in the A gap and now he's blitzing
- 22:28a gap. And that's a really diverse
- 22:31skill set because that position, we tried running a defense years
- 22:33ago in high school with that position.
- 22:35You only do that if you have your best player play in that
- 22:38position. That defense works because you
- 22:40have a guy that can play that like 3 different positions at
- 22:43the same time role you have. The Jets got an interior D
- 22:46lineman issue as well they need to address so that that might be
- 22:51a very big concern in regards to put him down there and a lot of
- 22:54teams going to probably be hesitant or The Jets probably
- 22:56going to be hesitant putting down an A gap being at he at
- 22:592:40. I can tell you right now he get
- 23:01down there 240 all right. Let's let's move on to and we
- 23:09have our guest then. So I'm just going to do a real
- 23:11quick hockey, just kind of go through everything.
- 23:14Looks like, you know, the the Rangers had one shot in the
- 23:17third. The Devils fire their general
- 23:20manager, Tom Fitzgerald. After six seasons, it looks like
- 23:24everyone was kind of saying that everyone hated Patrick Wah on
- 23:27the team and that's why he was gone.
- 23:29The Sabres, they clinched the playoff spot.
- 23:32They're up two points on the Lightning.
- 23:34Canadians. They may end up with the top
- 23:37record in the East. Pretty crazy for hockey.
- 23:39I love Buffalo. Buffalo is going to be
- 23:41dangerous, and if the Islanders sneak into the playoffs and
- 23:44right now they're looking on the outside, they're going to be
- 23:46matched up against Buffalo. Who wouldn't want to?
- 23:48See both the injury though for Buffalo Errol, a Lion lower body
- 23:52injury might not be ready for the playoffs.
- 23:54He probably will and their their backup goalie is pretty damn
- 23:57good too. Buffalo has got a great overall
- 24:00team. They have 4 great lines.
- 24:02Their their top 2 lines are one of the two of the best lines in
- 24:05the NHL right now. They're putting up some great
- 24:07points. Tage Thompson is one of the best
- 24:09young American players right now in the whole in the whole NHL,
- 24:13So I love Buffalo. As far as Patrick Gua, loving or
- 24:16hating Patrick Gua, everybody's going to talk.
- 24:18Everybody's going to speak about it.
- 24:20Was Patrick, Patrick Gua loved by the organization?
- 24:23Probably not. He was also handed to Darsh.
- 24:26Darsh didn't pick Patrick Wah. He was told he had to keep
- 24:29Patrick Wah and Patrick Wah hired his coach.
- 24:33He hired the coach that he probably would have hired if if
- 24:36Patrick Wah was fired. So I'm not going to, I'm not
- 24:39going to go out there and and blame Patrick Wah and say that
- 24:42anybody hated him. As far as the Rangers, we know
- 24:45where the Rangers are going. The Rangers want to be as high
- 24:48as they possibly can in that draft and they're going to lose
- 24:50as many games as they possibly they can to get as high as they
- 24:53possibly can go. And the Devils, Jack Hughes is a
- 24:58sensational player. Jack Hughes can't stay healthy.
- 25:01If Jack Hughes doesn't stay healthy for a full season, the
- 25:03Devils won't be an elite team ever.
- 25:06And that's all I'm going to say. They tried to trade or they were
- 25:09thinking of Trout trading Dougie Hamilton.
- 25:11That never happened too, because nobody wants that contract and
- 25:14Dougie Hamilton is one of the highest paid defenseman in the
- 25:17NHL. Go ask the Rangers in Jacob
- 25:20Truba. We don't have a hard that was to
- 25:22move. Yeah, and they're going to be
- 25:23stuck with that. They're going to be stuck with
- 25:25Timo Meyer. That hasn't worked out after
- 25:26that first year they traded for him.
- 25:27And whoever's new GM is going to be very stuck.
- 25:30The Islanders. I think the other thing I was
- 25:32hearing was Sarokin obviously was having some tension with
- 25:34him. I mean, we talked about Errol on
- 25:36the on the weekend crunch DA Scheber Verlamov in the
- 25:38beginning. I think that kind of rubbed off
- 25:40on him in the wrong way. And now he was trying to quote
- 25:41UN quote protect him. And you were even bashing him
- 25:43too for like how much they're playing.
- 25:44The backup goalies make no sense.
- 25:45And congratulations with Buffalo.
- 25:47I'm not worried about the goalie thing they put Soon lacking in
- 25:49him anyway. Yeah, so I just want to finish
- 25:54off one thing I forgot to talk about is the Buffalo Bills.
- 25:57Since you said the Sabres, they didn't have been inquiring about
- 26:01Dexter Lawrence. And the the deal that I'm seeing
- 26:05here is a potential deal is their first round pick #26 and
- 26:10Keon Coleman as a package. And that is fascinating because
- 26:17Keon Coleman has a lot of potential that he has not
- 26:20reached yet. On the other hand, on the other
- 26:23hand, the Bills are getting killed.
- 26:27The athletics. Mike Sandoz says the Bills made
- 26:30a huge mistake giving up a second round pick for DJ Moore
- 26:33because they were going to cut him.
- 26:35And the other GMs are looking at Brandon being like he's
- 26:39completely lost his fastball. First of all, DJ Moore is going
- 26:42to be unbelievable with Josh Allen.
- 26:45So I don't think it's going to hurt them.
- 26:47Obviously they they could have dropped him, tossed them away,
- 26:51whatever. DJ Moore is worth the second
- 26:52round draft pick as far as the Giants are concerned.
- 26:55If they want Cam Coleman, by all means, take him.
- 26:59I'm a florist, a fan. The guy stinks, he's not good.
- 27:03And if you're going to get a first round draft pick for
- 27:05Dexter Lawrence, you better get a good one because to me, Dexter
- 27:09Lawrence is still an elite pass rusher in the league and what
- 27:13they're going to get at 26 is not going to be elite.
- 27:16Big mistake for the New York Giants if they think about
- 27:18bringing Keon Coleman as their number two guy.
- 27:21Please. Yeah, they should do everything
- 27:23they can to trade. Make that trade with the Giants.
- 27:25If that's a rumor. There's no player that's going
- 27:27to be worth that trash to pick up 26.
- 27:29And yeah, I don't trust Greg Roman.
- 27:31You're going to trade Dexter Lawrence for Keon Cole?
- 27:33No, I. Must say the Giants should do.
- 27:35Saying that was all horrible. Trade No.
- 27:39I think it's that's the goal for the first round pick though,
- 27:41right? Before Dexter Lawrence got hurt
- 27:44this year, Dexter Lawrence was considered a top three defensive
- 27:46lineman and all of football. He was not hurt.
- 27:49He was hurt this year. He will come back next year.
- 27:52He's still fairly young. He's 2627 and you're going to
- 27:55trade him for Keon Coleman in the 26th pick in the NFL draft?
- 27:59Good luck, Giant fans. Good luck.
- 28:02I mean, it better be like, I mean, would you do it if it was
- 28:05the late Jacksonville pick and Brian Thomas junior?
- 28:09Yes, I've heard that I would, I would, but that's not going to
- 28:12happen. I don't.
- 28:13Think the interior D lineman in this in this in this draft.
- 28:15I mean not death to Lawrence, but.
- 28:17It's Jacksonville denied that one.
- 28:18Wait, Jacksonville doesn't have a first round pick?
- 28:20Where are you getting that? One, I'm sorry, not 26.
- 28:22The the next year's first round pick, their next year pick.
- 28:25It was going to be a first and him.
- 28:27Anyway, that's the carousel today.
- 28:30All right, ladies and gentlemen, here's my deuce of the day.
- 28:32The deuce of the day. You log.
- 28:35Not a log. I don't have a log.
- 28:36But. Well, well, well.
- 28:45Anthony Davis on the Draymond Green Show or his podcast airing
- 28:53out his grievance on the Lakers trading him and the Pelicans
- 28:58trading him. You're crying about being traded
- 29:02for Luka Doncic when he went to Dallas.
- 29:05Please stop. Anthony Davis needs to stop this
- 29:09now. You're playing for the bad
- 29:10Wizards. When is it going in?
- 29:13Guess what, Anthony, If you stay healthy, if you're actually a
- 29:16healthy player, maybe the team would trade you to a better
- 29:20team. Nobody wants you you.
- 29:22Nobody cares about the type of talent that you are or what you
- 29:26were. When you were great, you were
- 29:29great. And when you're bad, you're bad.
- 29:31I don't want to hear that He's a 20 and 10 player.
- 29:34The problem with Anthony Davis isn't his game, it's his health.
- 29:38The guy is never fully healthy and and as far as I'm concerned,
- 29:43I would trade him for Luka Doncic tomorrow.
- 29:45That was an absolute steal. Steal for the Lakers and he's
- 29:49complaining he just got traded for one of the top three players
- 29:52in in in the NBA. It's probably going to be
- 29:55considered one of the worst trades in NBA history and his
- 29:58names involved with it. Why?
- 30:00Because he's not the same player he once was.
- 30:03So please, cry me a river. Cry me something.
- 30:07Spare me a rib when I'm actually hungry.
- 30:10I could care less when Aunt Cindy Davis is bitching about
- 30:15and that ladies and gentlemen, is my deuce of the day.
