- 0:03Stay tuned all coming up guys. Welcome back to the ASP world.

- 0:15Other social media platforms to see daily videos that I upload
- 0:18on there for every single day, which is crazy.
- 0:20Now guys, it's really interesting.
- 0:22I've done a lot of videos talking about women and girls
- 0:24and autism right? And there's a big, there's a big
- 0:27hole kind of like shift happening right now where for
- 0:29years we only had data, we only had real long term data that was
- 0:35using boys or males as a test subject for testing for autism.
- 0:39Right. And so all the data and the
- 0:40researchers backed up from 1942 to 1980s on males and then they
- 0:44realized, hey, women have autism too.
- 0:48And so now they're kind of backtracking and trying to
- 0:49figure out all this data to get all this research in, which is
- 0:51really interesting, takes a lot of money to take all the time.
- 0:53I get it. But that doesn't stop the fact
- 0:55that we have an abundance of females who are left off the
- 0:59autism spectrum kind of diagnostic criteria because of
- 1:01various different things. I mean, this could be done from
- 1:03just ignorance from doctors to actually lack of data and
- 1:06research within the the protocol for diagnosing the nomenclature
- 1:10for autism in females. So here's a little overview.
- 1:13I'm going to leave some links down below as well to
- 1:15analystical if you want to read that too, all about kind of
- 1:18unexpected signs of autism in women.
- 1:19Because I think that there are some telltale signs of autism in
- 1:22women that people will just brush brush off as other issues,
- 1:26right. Because a lot of women will
- 1:27actually get diagnosed as bipolar or ADHD or extreme
- 1:31anxiety. So that when actually it's
- 1:32autism. But we don't really come across
- 1:34it that often because a lot of the time women on the Austin
- 1:37Spectrum will actually display or exhibit signs that are not
- 1:40commonly associated with autism specifically.
- 1:42So some of the size for autism women can include difficulty
- 1:46with social interactions but not limited to social interactions.
- 1:49What I mean by this is that they may have issues with social
- 1:52interactions, but because you can be masking or or or hiding
- 1:58kind of behind a a mask, so to speak, in a social situation, a
- 2:02woman or a female can can move past the awkwardness of the
- 2:06situation to kind of like just struggle through that social
- 2:09interaction even though they're struggling.
- 2:10But then the struggle will come out when they're home, when
- 2:12they're trying to chill, it will just kind of come out and
- 2:14they'll have an emotional outburst at home after
- 2:17pretending to sulfate all day because they have issues with
- 2:19this. The others are sensory
- 2:21sensitivities where you know some women can't wear certain
- 2:24perfumes or they can't wear certain types of clothing
- 2:26because of the sensitivity to that and because this becomes
- 2:29commodity with autism that you have sensory processing disorder
- 2:32and processing with senses as you know clothing or or or
- 2:36smells or even food. This can actually prevent women
- 2:39from doing things like buying the perfume, like going out to
- 2:42dinner, like buying certain clothes.
- 2:44And those things a lot of people will be like, oh, they're just
- 2:46fussy old. They don't like that.
- 2:47But in actual fact, this is down to an autism special condition
- 2:50and a trait of autism. Another one is issues with
- 2:53executive function. Now this could be like anything
- 2:56from like organizing your clothes to organizing your life,
- 2:58organizing your finances, being able to organize your kitchen,
- 3:01cook food. All of these things are
- 3:03executive function skills, and a lot of the time autism
- 3:06represents itself in women with executive dysfunction skills.
- 3:09This could be anything for even just picking up the phone and
- 3:11ordering a pizza to going out in a grocery shop and actually
- 3:14making sure to pick everything off that list because it can be
- 3:17quite challenging for females on the other spectrum to have
- 3:20issues with autism and executive function.
- 3:23So these are some of the things that you can kind of take away
- 3:27from this. But one of the other main
- 3:29telltale signs is, you know, issues with things like routine
- 3:34and and change in routine like struggling with changes or
- 3:37unexpected changes is something that impacts autistic people
- 3:40quite quite a lot and and especially women.
- 3:43If you have unexpected change within a day or routine or a
- 3:47route or a something that is supposed to be happening for
- 3:50that person on the autism spectrum, then there is a
- 3:52possibility you're going to come across a meltdown and other big
- 3:55major issues. Now these happen with boys as
- 3:58well, but I think that it's more prominent to see these in
- 4:01females and a lot of people brush it off because there is
- 4:05always some bizarre war on women which I can't stand.
- 4:08And I'm also an ally. So like, yeah, I'm big up to,
- 4:11big up to women and women's rights.
- 4:13It's super important we do that. So that be a said guys, if this
- 4:17video was good, please share it. If you think somebody can get
- 4:21something out of it and leave me a comment down below.
