- 0:14Speaker 1: Y'all like y'all ready tonight, you are like you came
- 0:18Speaker 1: to throw down from Jesus tonight, I believe it. Get
- 0:23Speaker 1: your bibles, and while you're standing and go to the
- 0:25Speaker 1: Book of Exodus, chapter number sixteen. We're gonna read the
- 0:29Speaker 1: first five verses, and then we're gonna drop down to
- 0:32Speaker 1: thirty one and thirty two. It's a very familiar passage
- 0:35Speaker 1: of scripture, but a very important one. Indeed, Exodus Ecclesia
- 0:43Speaker 1: the called out Ones. The Book of Exodus is about
- 0:47Speaker 1: the calling of God's people out of slavery and away
- 0:52Speaker 1: from captivity, from servitude to sonship. They went into the
- 0:57Speaker 1: Red Sea as slaves, with their master chasing them. But
- 1:02Speaker 1: when they came up out of the water, they came
- 1:04Speaker 1: up at suns from servitude to sonship. And the reason
- 1:10Speaker 1: that their servitude was canceled out is because their master
- 1:13Speaker 1: drowned in the Red Sea. God will drown what's chasing you, baby,
- 1:19Speaker 1: He will drown what's chasing you? If you just keep
- 1:22Speaker 1: on following him. Don't worry about the enemy behind you.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Greater is he this in you than he this after you?
- 1:32Speaker 1: Who that's good? And so Moses writes to us, and
- 1:38Speaker 1: he chronicles the story of his journey and the autobiography
- 1:43Speaker 1: almost of the pilgrimage of the children of Israel, as
- 1:48Speaker 1: they had stepped away from all that had identified than
- 1:52Speaker 1: before into this new beginning. And anytime something is new,
- 1:58Speaker 1: there's always a transition period. There's always a discomfort. Even
- 2:05Speaker 1: when the newest better, there is still a discomfort.
- 2:10Speaker 2: And it reads at verse one.
- 2:12Speaker 1: The whole Israelite community set out from Elim and came
- 2:18Speaker 1: to the desert of sin which is between Elim and Sinai,
- 2:23Speaker 1: on the fifteenth day of the second month after they
- 2:27Speaker 1: had come out of Egypt, so they've been out two
- 2:30Speaker 1: and a half.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Months in the desert.
- 2:33Speaker 1: The whole community grumbled against Moses and Erin.
- 2:40Speaker 2: This is a tough job.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Ah, the Israelite said to them, if only we had
- 2:47Speaker 1: died by the Lord's hand in Egypt. These are the
- 2:51Speaker 1: same people who prayed for Moses to come. Now they're
- 2:55Speaker 1: praying to die there. We sat around pots of meat
- 3:00Speaker 1: and ate all the food we wanted, But you have
- 3:04Speaker 1: brought us out into this desert to starve this entire
- 3:09Speaker 1: assembly to death.
- 3:11Speaker 2: You see how Moses was falsely accused.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You know Moses didn't bring them out there to starve
- 3:17Speaker 1: to death and die. He brought them out there to
- 3:20Speaker 1: be an emancipator and to set them free. I just
- 3:23Speaker 1: point that out to the people who are misunderstood, and
- 3:28Speaker 1: you've had things about you where people have judged your
- 3:31Speaker 1: intentions wrongly. It's one thing for you to have an
- 3:35Speaker 1: opinion about my actions, but it's another thing for you
- 3:38Speaker 1: to subscribe to the idea that you know what I'm thinking.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Oh, y'all are hearing.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Then, the Lord said to Moses, I will rain down
- 3:49Speaker 1: bread from heaven for you. The people are to go
- 3:53Speaker 1: out each day and gather enough for that day, And
- 3:57Speaker 1: in this way I will test them and see whether
- 4:01Speaker 1: they will follow my instructions. On the sixth day, they
- 4:07Speaker 1: are to prepare what they bring in, and that is
- 4:11Speaker 1: to be twice as much as they gather.
- 4:14Speaker 2: On the other days.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Now Verse thirty one, the people of Israel called the
- 4:21Speaker 1: bread manna. It was white like coriander seed, and tasted
- 4:30Speaker 1: like wafers made with honey, and sound pretty good. I
- 4:36Speaker 1: cook a little bit, you know, wafers and honey. Don't
- 4:40Speaker 1: sound like you're suffering that bad. Moses said, this is
- 4:44Speaker 1: what the Lord has commanded take an owner of manna
- 4:48Speaker 1: and keep it for the generations to come. See, don't
- 4:52Speaker 1: just be concerned about you, but leave a legacy behind
- 4:55Speaker 1: you so they can see the bread I gave you
- 4:59Speaker 1: to eat it the wilderness when I brought you out
- 5:03Speaker 1: of Egypt. God's gonna always use what you got left.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'm not gonna bother them remnants. I talked about that Sunday.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I will leave them remnants alone. But God will always
- 5:17Speaker 1: save a remnant, he said. Put a pot aside and
- 5:20Speaker 1: omer and put it in the ark of the Covenant,
- 5:23Speaker 1: so that the generations to come can understand what I
- 5:27Speaker 1: gave you through the wilderness. Has God fed you through
- 5:30Speaker 1: the wilderness, won't he do it? It's not that He
- 5:36Speaker 1: always stops the wilderness, but he feeds you in the wilderness.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I want to talk from the subject tonight, recognizing God's answers.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Recognizing God's answers.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Speak it up.
- 5:56Speaker 1: The living God fallow fresh on us tonight, a fresh positive.
- 6:00Speaker 1: If you will, we are open to receive our hearts,
- 6:05Speaker 1: our minds, our spirits, our souls, our bodies are prepared
- 6:09Speaker 1: to ingest and appropriate the word as you see fit
- 6:13Speaker 1: to unveil it and reveal it to us. We are
- 6:16Speaker 1: hungry to receive your word. We are grateful for your presence.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Open up even the hardest mind, the most resistant spirit,
- 6:27Speaker 1: that the glory of the Lord can penetrate until they
- 6:31Speaker 1: are pricked in their hearts by the very presence of God.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Now, thank you.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I know you haven't done it yet, but I'm gonna
- 6:38Speaker 1: thank you in advance. Your credit is good with me.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I'll praise you now. You can do it later, have
- 6:46Speaker 1: your way and great come that you are. I thank
- 6:49Speaker 1: you for all kinds of stuff that ain't happened yet.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I'm just gonna go ahead and thank you like it's
- 6:54Speaker 1: already done. I know I'm gonna look foolish, but I'm
- 6:57Speaker 1: a praiser, like it's already done. Hallelujah. I'm gonna pronounce
- 7:01Speaker 1: a benediction over it, like it's already done. For thiness
- 7:05Speaker 1: and kingdom and the power at the glory forever and ever.
- 7:10Speaker 1: All the people shouted Amen, you may be seated in
- 7:14Speaker 1: the presence of God. So Pharaoh traveled by chariot, and
- 7:24Speaker 1: the slaves traveled by foot. So if they have been
- 7:30Speaker 1: walking through the desert for two months and fifteen days.
- 7:37Speaker 1: For two and a half months, they have been walking.
- 7:42Speaker 2: That's a long walk.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Two and a half months of waking up every day
- 7:48Speaker 1: and carrying everything you own on your back. They have
- 7:53Speaker 1: been walking for months, loaded down with their own possessions
- 8:00Speaker 1: and no place to rest them. They had continued on
- 8:03Speaker 1: their journey. A careful study of the Word says that
- 8:07Speaker 1: it wasn't just the fathers that carried the weight, or
- 8:11Speaker 1: just the mothers, but even the children were loaded down
- 8:16Speaker 1: with the weight, not just of their possessions, but the
- 8:19Speaker 1: weight of the possessions of the Egyptians. For in the
- 8:24Speaker 1: Red Sea there was a transfer of wealth. The Bible
- 8:28Speaker 1: says that they borrowed the gold and the silver from
- 8:31Speaker 1: the Egyptians, but then they had no way of paying
- 8:35Speaker 1: it back because Faedro and the army were drowned in
- 8:37Speaker 1: the Red Sea. So God has done supernatural debt cancelation.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Y'all don't want to talk to me. God has done
- 8:49Speaker 1: supernatural debt cancelation. And the wealth of the unjusts has
- 8:55Speaker 1: been laid up for the justs. The wealth of the
- 8:58Speaker 1: wicked has been laid up for the righteous. The wealth
- 9:01Speaker 1: of the ungodly has been laid up for the godly,
- 9:04Speaker 1: and they have come into an inheritance that is not
- 9:07Speaker 1: their own. And yet in a way it was because
- 9:12Speaker 1: to receive this kind of wealth was reparations, reparations because
- 9:19Speaker 1: they had worked for free for four hundred years, and
- 9:26Speaker 1: everything that had been with hell from them for four
- 9:29Speaker 1: hundred years got paid it out suddenly.
- 9:36Speaker 2: I'm preaching already.
- 9:40Speaker 1: That means that they had endured hardness as good soldiers
- 9:44Speaker 1: and been faithful even in the middle of injustice. But
- 9:46Speaker 1: eventually God supernaturally settled the accounts and set the record straight,
- 9:53Speaker 1: because God is an accountant, and he keeps record of
- 9:58Speaker 1: every issue and every and in due season, God is
- 10:02Speaker 1: going to settle.
- 10:05Speaker 2: All accounts.
- 10:06Speaker 1: So they are weighted, and it is heavy, but they
- 10:11Speaker 1: are heavily weighted with the blessings of God.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Nobody teaches you that blessings.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Carry weight, that glory carries weight. They have carried their
- 10:26Speaker 1: teenagers on the threat. They're almost like teenagers on the
- 10:30Speaker 1: threshold of adulthood. They enjoy the freedom, but lack the
- 10:34Speaker 1: stability that was afforded them while parented directly. You know
- 10:41Speaker 1: how that is when kids can't wait to get out
- 10:44Speaker 1: of the house and then they discover bills, and while
- 10:50Speaker 1: they have freedom, they run into responsibilities, and all of
- 10:54Speaker 1: their judgment about how things are to be done begins
- 10:57Speaker 1: to change as they begin to wreckones that it is
- 11:01Speaker 1: not as easy as it looks. Freedom is expensive. It
- 11:09Speaker 1: costs you something to be free. The slaves were free
- 11:13Speaker 1: to go, but where and to whom. To a large degree,
- 11:20Speaker 1: they were homeless people nomadically living in tents, pitching their
- 11:26Speaker 1: tents wherever they could, making the best of a bad situation.
- 11:31Speaker 1: And yet in the midst of this tempestuous uncertainty, God
- 11:35Speaker 1: had been faithful. He had been a cloud above them
- 11:39Speaker 1: by day, so it wasn't as hot as it would
- 11:43Speaker 1: have been. I'm wondering if there are any people in
- 11:46Speaker 1: here today that recognize that it wasn't as hot as
- 11:50Speaker 1: it should have been, that God shaded you in the
- 11:56Speaker 1: midst of uncertainty. Sometimes you don't really know how bad
- 12:00Speaker 1: things are until you get out, and then you look
- 12:04Speaker 1: back at it and say that, if it had not
- 12:05Speaker 1: been for the Lord, I would have been swallowed up.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I would have died of heat stroke. I should have asphyxiated,
- 12:13Speaker 1: I should have collapsed. But his shade became my norm
- 12:20Speaker 1: and at night when the temperatures dropped below freezing, he
- 12:23Speaker 1: turned into a pillar of fire. And in other words,
- 12:27Speaker 1: God conditioned the desert with air in the morning and
- 12:31Speaker 1: heat at night because God cared about the comfort of
- 12:35Speaker 1: those who walk with him. Look at God, Jehovah jihrah,
- 12:44Speaker 1: investing not only into your needs but also into your comfort.
- 12:49Speaker 1: There are some things that God does for you just
- 12:51Speaker 1: so that you can be comfortable glowy to God. And
- 12:57Speaker 1: yet in the midst of all that God has done,
- 13:01Speaker 1: they seem not to notice that God had made them
- 13:05Speaker 1: comfortable because they were functioning in an atmosphere of uncertainty.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:15Speaker 1: See, that's how we are a lot of times we
- 13:18Speaker 1: don't notice that God is being good to us because
- 13:22Speaker 1: He won't give us the details of our destination, and
- 13:27Speaker 1: we are functioning in the trauma of uncertainty. Uncertainty is
- 13:34Speaker 1: traumatic all by itself because we are intellectual beings and
- 13:38Speaker 1: we are created with intellect. We have cognitive skills whereby
- 13:43Speaker 1: we want to know. And the problem in this situation
- 13:47Speaker 1: here is they don't know how far they are away
- 13:53Speaker 1: from there. They have heard of a land that flows
- 13:57Speaker 1: with milk and honey, but they don't know how many
- 14:00Speaker 1: more days would we have to walk? That uncertainty can
- 14:06Speaker 1: plague a person. It can frustrate them. In a marriage,
- 14:10Speaker 1: either one or the other of you wants to know details.
- 14:16Speaker 1: We're going to Vegas, where we're gonna stay, how we're
- 14:20Speaker 1: gonna get there, what time is it, which hotel is it,
- 14:22Speaker 1: Have you made reservations, what we're gonna do when we
- 14:25Speaker 1: get there? Is there any layovers? Is that people want
- 14:28Speaker 1: to know details. We want to know details. The other
- 14:30Speaker 1: person is the person who just kind of just goes,
- 14:33Speaker 1: oh way, it'll be all right, it'll be all right.
- 14:35Speaker 1: And you're trying to get one person to calm down,
- 14:37Speaker 1: and they're trying to get you to give them details.
- 14:41Speaker 1: God has not given them details.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Because they must walk.
- 14:46Speaker 1: By and not by. So God has designed the atmosphere
- 14:54Speaker 1: to teach them faith because they are not sure how
- 15:00Speaker 1: they'll have to go to get there. And they are
- 15:05Speaker 1: not sure of Moses because Moses has been away with
- 15:10Speaker 1: Jethro for forty years. So while he is kin to
- 15:15Speaker 1: them genetically, he cannot relate to them experientially. For while
- 15:22Speaker 1: they were making bricks, Moses was raised in the palace
- 15:27Speaker 1: and as the Pharaohs died and the situations change. Moses
- 15:31Speaker 1: was out there with Jethro taking care of sheep. God
- 15:34Speaker 1: sent Moses into the desert under duress because Moses had
- 15:39Speaker 1: murdered a man, but it was also an opportunity to
- 15:43Speaker 1: train him in desert tactics. Beware of leaders who lead
- 15:52Speaker 1: you where they have not been. One of my spiritual
- 15:59Speaker 1: sons said to me knows I'm working on a business deal,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and he said, I want you to teach it to me.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I said, I can't teach it while I'm learning it.
- 16:07Speaker 1: You have to learn before you teach. You have to
- 16:10Speaker 1: respect the craft well enough not to allow the pressure
- 16:14Speaker 1: of somebody's hunger to know to drive you to faking
- 16:20Speaker 1: your ability to teach. There are some things that only
- 16:26Speaker 1: experience can teach. You can google it, you can read it,
- 16:32Speaker 1: you can take it in school, you can get a
- 16:35Speaker 1: degree in it, you can get a master's, you can
- 16:37Speaker 1: get a doctorate. But when you start doing it, you'll
- 16:40Speaker 1: find out that experience ends up being the ultimate teacher,
- 16:45Speaker 1: because a lot of the principles that worked out on
- 16:47Speaker 1: paper that got you an a don't work out on people.
- 16:52Speaker 1: It's a difference between working it out on paper and
- 16:55Speaker 1: working it out on people. And now Moses not only
- 16:59Speaker 1: has to sustain himself, which he has had forty years
- 17:04Speaker 1: of experience at being nomadic in the desert, but now
- 17:08Speaker 1: he's got people with him. And when you are responsible
- 17:13Speaker 1: for people, it creates stress and trauma because the moment
- 17:19Speaker 1: they become disruptive, they attack. You jump in the pool
- 17:26Speaker 1: when somebody's drowning and watch them punch you. And here
- 17:32Speaker 1: you jumped in to save them. And now you have
- 17:35Speaker 1: to fight the one you're trying to say. If you
- 17:40Speaker 1: think about it hard enough, in your own life, you've
- 17:43Speaker 1: had experiences where you had to fight the one you're
- 17:47Speaker 1: trying to say. I'm trying to warn you. I'm trying
- 17:50Speaker 1: to tell you that this is going to blow up
- 17:52Speaker 1: in your face. I told you not to put the
- 17:54Speaker 1: aluminum foil in the microwave. I'm trying to tell you.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I'm trying to warn you. And now the whole a kitchen,
- 18:00Speaker 1: it's in smoke, and the fire alarms are going off
- 18:04Speaker 1: and you're saying oops. But if you would have listened
- 18:06Speaker 1: at what I told you, I could have saved you
- 18:09Speaker 1: this experience. Now the fire department is on its way
- 18:12Speaker 1: to the house and I have to explain what we
- 18:15Speaker 1: could have avoided. This is the tension of the text.
- 18:20Speaker 1: It is not just the heat of the sun or
- 18:23Speaker 1: the cold of the night, or the extinguishing of phaar Oh.
- 18:28Speaker 1: It is the uncertainty of people and how they reacted
- 18:32Speaker 1: to that uncertainty. These are the people who danced at
- 18:36Speaker 1: the Red Sea, and they have gone from dancing at
- 18:40Speaker 1: the Red Sea to dragging their way through the desert
- 18:45Speaker 1: of sin. Isn't it amazing how people will go from
- 18:49Speaker 1: dancing to dragging. Don't be overly impressed at who runs
- 18:56Speaker 1: samos or shouts samos, or leads the highest or makes
- 19:01Speaker 1: the most noise. That is not a fool proof test
- 19:06Speaker 1: of the authenticity of faith, because sometimes the person who
- 19:10Speaker 1: says the least up under attack exemplifies the most faith.
- 19:16Speaker 1: But we have a tendency to be overly impressed with
- 19:20Speaker 1: outward demonstrations as if it were a declaration of true faith.
- 19:26Speaker 1: But before you get the walking, your faith will be
- 19:29Speaker 1: tested beyond your dance, y'all, don't hear what I'm saying.
- 19:36Speaker 1: They danced at the Red Sea because favor was drowned,
- 19:40Speaker 1: but now they are dragging. For Moses an erin and
- 19:45Speaker 1: fighting the lifeguard who is trying to deliver them because
- 19:50Speaker 1: they have misplaced rage. Misplaced rage? Can I talk about
- 19:57Speaker 1: misplaced rage?
- 19:58Speaker 2: For me?
- 20:00Speaker 1: This place rage is a rage that is actually fear
- 20:05Speaker 1: manifest as rage executed on the innocent because the guilty
- 20:12Speaker 1: are not available. You have to have been a victim
- 20:21Speaker 1: of misplaced rage to understand the magnitude of what I'm saying.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I'm arguing with my wife, but I'm really angry at
- 20:28Speaker 1: my mother, and all of a sudden, she hits a
- 20:34Speaker 1: trigger that ignites a rage that's been suppressed in me,
- 20:38Speaker 1: and I acted out on her, and she wants to
- 20:41Speaker 1: know where is this coming from. Well, it don't really
- 20:43Speaker 1: have anything to do with you. It's all the things
- 20:46Speaker 1: I couldn't say to Mama, Now I release them on
- 20:54Speaker 1: you because I was hurt. And when people get hurt,
- 21:00Speaker 1: they hurt people. So they have entered into a rage
- 21:06Speaker 1: against Moses and Aaron. And two and a half months
- 21:09Speaker 1: into the journey, Moses recognizes that it is easier to
- 21:14Speaker 1: travel the wilderness by yourself than it is to lead people.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Yet we live in a society where everybody can't wait
- 21:23Speaker 1: to lead, They can't wait to have a title. They
- 21:29Speaker 1: can't wait to have a position. All you do is
- 21:32Speaker 1: all you get is that glass of water. The only
- 21:36Speaker 1: difference between the pulpit and the pews is that we
- 21:38Speaker 1: get a glass of water, a glass that I hardly
- 21:42Speaker 1: ever get to drink. And exchange for that glass of water,
- 21:47Speaker 1: I get every criticism, every fight, every disruption, every evil thing,
- 21:53Speaker 1: every accusation, every attack, every stress. Listen, the water ain't
- 21:57Speaker 1: worth it from data rade, when you get back home
- 22:02Speaker 1: and save yourselves. Some trouble is not worth it because
- 22:05Speaker 1: they are raising against Moses and Aaron, who have done
- 22:08Speaker 1: absolutely nothing but been good to them. But people have
- 22:14Speaker 1: memory relapse when they are in an uncertain atmosphere. I
- 22:22Speaker 1: didn't create this atmosphere. I didn't plan this. This is
- 22:27Speaker 1: what God has allowed to happen. So if you're going
- 22:31Speaker 1: to take it out on somebody, take it out on God.
- 22:35Speaker 2: But no.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Misplaced rage makes you a victim of something that you
- 22:43Speaker 1: had nothing to do with.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Oh go.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Now tonight. I'm talking about recognizing God's answers because to
- 22:59Speaker 1: a large dear greed, God's answers don't often look like
- 23:05Speaker 1: our prayers. Okay, Recognition could be defined as the brain's
- 23:13Speaker 1: ability to identify stimuli or lack situations. Places, people, objects, etc.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Are all recognition that you have seen before, and so
- 23:28Speaker 1: recognition in the word recognition is cognitive, your brain's ability
- 23:36Speaker 1: to relate what you see to something you have seen.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Recognition is a cognitive ability that makes it possible to
- 23:49Speaker 1: recover stored information and compare it to the information being
- 23:54Speaker 1: presented in front of you. Like you look at somebody,
- 23:57Speaker 1: you say, oh, that's Fred. I didn't recognize you.
- 24:01Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 24:02Speaker 1: Recognitive re call cognitive because I saw you before, but
- 24:09Speaker 1: I didn't recognize you. So I can't say I cognize you.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I have to say I recognize you because I have
- 24:18Speaker 1: a previous experience as a reference to have recognition. I
- 24:24Speaker 1: have a terrible problem with names, and when I have
- 24:29Speaker 1: to remember somebody's name, it is easier when I tie
- 24:33Speaker 1: it to something that I remember. So if somebody says,
- 24:39Speaker 1: how my name is David, I think somelmons David. So
- 24:42Speaker 1: if I can remember the Salmons David, I say, hi, David,
- 24:45Speaker 1: how you doing? Because I need to tie what's in
- 24:49Speaker 1: front of me to something that's behind me. Recognition, So
- 24:55Speaker 1: when we come to recognizing God's answers, often the only
- 25:02Speaker 1: image we have in mind is what was in our head.
- 25:07Speaker 1: So when God answers and he delivers something that is
- 25:11Speaker 1: different than what we saw in our head, sometimes we
- 25:15Speaker 1: don't know how to handle it because the answer doesn't
- 25:19Speaker 1: look like the prayer. Can we go deeper with this?
- 25:23Speaker 1: Let's go to Isaiah fifty five six through nine for
- 25:26Speaker 1: a minute. Let's take a look at that Isaiah fifty
- 25:33Speaker 1: five six through nine. Seek the Lord while he may
- 25:37Speaker 1: be found, call on him while he is near. Let
- 25:45Speaker 1: the wicked forsake their ways watch this, and the unrighteous their.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Thoughts. Wait a minute.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I understand the wicked forsake their way, But when he
- 26:01Speaker 1: gets to the unrighteous, he says, forsake your thoughts. That
- 26:09Speaker 1: means that the unrighteous have to be careful because your
- 26:12Speaker 1: thoughts may betray you. I thought I would be here
- 26:19Speaker 1: by now. I thought I would be married by thirty.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I thought I would be out of debt by fifty.
- 26:26Speaker 1: I thought, And the Bible says, forsake, for you to
- 26:31Speaker 1: forsake your thoughts. Who y'all got quiet? For sake? What
- 26:40Speaker 1: you thought marriage is? Forsake? What you thought church was
- 26:48Speaker 1: supposed to be? For sake? What you thought you deserve
- 26:53Speaker 1: in a companion for sake, what you thought you should
- 26:58Speaker 1: be paid on a job. Because God did not promise
- 27:03Speaker 1: to pay you according to your thoughts, but according to his.
- 27:12Speaker 1: And how are you gonna let this mind be in you,
- 27:14Speaker 1: which was also in Christ Jesus while you hold on
- 27:17Speaker 1: to your own? So there has to be a moment
- 27:24Speaker 1: in your life that you go blank and say, not
- 27:30Speaker 1: my will, but done be done. You know what's best.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have
- 27:43Speaker 1: mercy on them, and to our God, for he will
- 27:47Speaker 1: freely pardon them for thoughts. Yes, for he will pardon,
- 27:52Speaker 1: he will forgive you. My mother was said this lady
- 27:56Speaker 1: for thinking like a food. Wasn't she good for telling
- 28:01Speaker 1: you that you're thinking like a food? Yeah, she didn't
- 28:05Speaker 1: call us a fool, but she said you're thinking like
- 28:07Speaker 1: a food. That doesn't make no sense. You're thinking like
- 28:11Speaker 1: a fool, because she understood parenting is about teaching how
- 28:15Speaker 1: to think. You can't teach a child how to think
- 28:22Speaker 1: when your answer is because I said so. So I
- 28:31Speaker 1: have a tendency when I'm frustrated with any individual, to say.
- 28:35Speaker 2: What were you? Yeah?
- 28:39Speaker 1: Yeah, because I can't understand how you did what you did.
- 28:43Speaker 1: I have a problem with your ways, but the root
- 28:46Speaker 1: of your ways is in your thoughts. Anytime you see
- 28:52Speaker 1: somebody acting a certain way, the action is the fruit
- 28:57Speaker 1: of their thinking.
- 29:00Speaker 2: What were you thinking? Then?
- 29:05Speaker 1: God goes on and says, for my thoughts are not
- 29:08Speaker 1: your thoughts. That's why I want you to forsake your thoughts,
- 29:13Speaker 1: because my thoughts are not your thoughts. Neither are your
- 29:19Speaker 1: ways my ways. Now we keep seeing this ribbon tide
- 29:24Speaker 1: between thoughts and ways, thoughts and ways. His thoughts justified
- 29:30Speaker 1: by his ways, your thoughts justified by your ways. God
- 29:34Speaker 1: declares under you, I'm not thinking what you're thinking, and
- 29:41Speaker 1: my ways of getting you there are not your way.
- 29:47Speaker 1: I swore I was gonna bless you, but I didn't
- 29:49Speaker 1: tell you how. I swore I would bring you out,
- 29:56Speaker 1: but I didn't tell you through whom. I thought it
- 29:59Speaker 1: was going to come through the Bishop. I thought it
- 30:01Speaker 1: was going to come through the music. I thought your thoughts,
- 30:05Speaker 1: Get them out of the way, Get them out of
- 30:07Speaker 1: the way. If you can surrender your thoughts to God,
- 30:11Speaker 1: what you think about it, rather than building a shrine
- 30:14Speaker 1: around your opinion and worshiping at the altar of that
- 30:20Speaker 1: that is fragile and open yourself up. That's what I
- 30:25Speaker 1: surrender really means. I surrender all means. I surrender what
- 30:29Speaker 1: I had in mind. I surrender what I had planned.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I surrender how I thought it would turn out. I
- 30:39Speaker 1: surrender my definition of success at this stage in my life.
- 30:44Speaker 1: For instance, somebody says, oh, you're such a successful pastor,
- 30:49Speaker 1: and I always think to myself, are you talking about
- 30:53Speaker 1: quantity or quality? Who says that the most successful pastor
- 31:00Speaker 1: is the one with the most members. Perhaps God goes
- 31:06Speaker 1: by quality and not by quantity. Y'all ain't gonna talk
- 31:10Speaker 1: to me tonight. So all of a sudden, you are
- 31:15Speaker 1: judging on the outer appearance and God is looking at
- 31:18Speaker 1: the heart. And it could be that the guy in
- 31:21Speaker 1: the storefront with twelve members is a more successful pastor
- 31:27Speaker 1: because he is qualitative and not quantitative. We lack it big,
- 31:34Speaker 1: we do it big in Texas. I want to see big.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I want to see big. God wants to see quality.
- 31:44Speaker 1: So I'm a big man, But are you a good man?
- 31:49Speaker 1: I found out that you can be strong in your
- 31:52Speaker 1: body and weak in your will. You can be physically
- 32:01Speaker 1: strong and emotionally weak, and some little old girl that
- 32:06Speaker 1: weighed ninety pounds soaking wet can be tougher than nails
- 32:09Speaker 1: and can't lift up a barbell. So when you start
- 32:15Speaker 1: talking about strength, are you talking about outer strength or
- 32:20Speaker 1: inner strength? Outer strength is deceptive because you can be
- 32:27Speaker 1: strong outwardly and be fragile inwardly, or you can be
- 32:33Speaker 1: fragile outwardly and be tough inwardly. Are you hearing what
- 32:38Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's some tough people in here tonight. They
- 32:43Speaker 1: might not look tough, they might not dress tough, they
- 32:47Speaker 1: may not have tricepts or biceps or anything like that,
- 32:50Speaker 1: but mess with them. The bad thing about messing with
- 32:57Speaker 1: people You don't know how tough they are till you
- 32:59Speaker 1: hit them, And all of a sudden, that little woman
- 33:04Speaker 1: that you thought wasn't tough starts pulling down the mantelpiece
- 33:08Speaker 1: and grabbing up the candlesticks and coming at you and say,
- 33:11Speaker 1: you touch my child.
- 33:13Speaker 2: I tell you.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Toughness can't always be quantified by what you thought. So
- 33:23Speaker 1: as heavens are higher than their, so are my ways
- 33:25Speaker 1: higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Come on, God is trying to teach them to forsake
- 33:35Speaker 1: what they had in mind so that they can recognize.
- 33:42Speaker 2: His answers.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Seldom in my life has his answers look like my prayer.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Seldom in my life has his answers look like my prayer.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Answer came in such a way that it confused him.
- 34:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna show you what I mean. God's answers can't
- 34:10Speaker 1: be cognitive. They cannot be cognitive, So God says, over
- 34:15Speaker 1: and over again, I will show you. Okay, because where
- 34:20Speaker 1: I'm getting ready to take you. You don't have a
- 34:24Speaker 1: predetermined picture in your mind for what I'm getting ready
- 34:28Speaker 1: to do in your life. You have no point of
- 34:34Speaker 1: reference for what I'm about to do in your life.
- 34:36Speaker 1: I don't know who I'm talking to, but I'm talking
- 34:38Speaker 1: to somebody in this room right now or on the
- 34:41Speaker 1: stream right now. You have no point of reference. God
- 34:45Speaker 1: is going to do a new thing in your life.
- 34:49Speaker 1: The former things have passed away. So I'm going to
- 34:53Speaker 1: forget those things which are behind, and I'm going to
- 34:57Speaker 1: reach to those things which are before. Because God is
- 35:00Speaker 1: going to do something in you that you never saw
- 35:03Speaker 1: in your mother, that you never saw in your father,
- 35:06Speaker 1: that you didn't see in your grandparents, that you didn't
- 35:09Speaker 1: see reflected in your neighbors, that you didn't see coming
- 35:12Speaker 1: in your life. And it cannot be cognitive and still
- 35:16Speaker 1: be divine. God is going to do something like you
- 35:19Speaker 1: have never seen him ever do before, and so he says,
- 35:24Speaker 1: I will show you. Type it on the line, I
- 35:28Speaker 1: will show you put it in yours. I will show you.
- 35:32Speaker 1: I can show you better that I can tell you.
- 35:35Speaker 1: I will show you. I will show you that I
- 35:39Speaker 1: will provide for you. I will show you that I
- 35:42Speaker 1: can heal you. I will show you that I can
- 35:45Speaker 1: bring you out. I will show you that I can
- 35:47Speaker 1: supply all your needs. I will show you that there's
- 35:51Speaker 1: a method to what looks like madness in your life.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I will show you while your family rejected you, I
- 35:58Speaker 1: will show you while you're someioku. I will show you
- 36:02Speaker 1: why your mother didn't raise you. Stop murmuring and complaining
- 36:06Speaker 1: just because you're hungry for something that you didn't get.
- 36:09Speaker 1: I will show you I already considered what they weren't
- 36:14Speaker 1: gonna be in your life. I will show you not
- 36:19Speaker 1: your mother, not your father, not your sister, not your brother.
- 36:23Speaker 1: I will show you keep on walking with me. And
- 36:27Speaker 1: I will show you because you will not recognize what
- 36:32Speaker 1: I'm getting ready to do in your life because you
- 36:35Speaker 1: have never passed this way before. You have never passed
- 36:40Speaker 1: this way before. And if you can put up with
- 36:43Speaker 1: the trauma of uncertainty, eventually I will show you I
- 36:49Speaker 1: got a plan to work this out that you haven't seen.
- 36:53Speaker 1: It's not on your blueprints, it's not on your drawings,
- 36:56Speaker 1: it's not on your schedule. It's never been done before.
- 37:00Speaker 1: I am going to do something new in you. It's
- 37:03Speaker 1: not gonna be like your first pastor, is not gonna
- 37:06Speaker 1: be like your childhood. I will show you. Look at
- 37:11Speaker 1: somebody and tell them. God's gonna show you. Don't worry
- 37:15Speaker 1: about it. God's gonna show you. You don't understand it
- 37:18Speaker 1: right now, that's okay. God is gonna show you. You
- 37:21Speaker 1: don't recognize God's hand and where you're at right now.
- 37:25Speaker 1: But God's gonna show you. It doesn't look like God
- 37:28Speaker 1: is with you, but God is gonna show you. You
- 37:30Speaker 1: feel like God has forsaken you. But God is going
- 37:34Speaker 1: to show you. You don't recognize anything around you, not
- 37:37Speaker 1: a street side, not a road marker. You don't know
- 37:41Speaker 1: where you are. You at a stage in your life
- 37:43Speaker 1: of uncertainty. You have never been this age before. You
- 37:47Speaker 1: have never been at this stage before. It's foreign to you.
- 37:52Speaker 1: You don't know what to do in this season of
- 37:54Speaker 1: your life. You try to do what you used to do.
- 37:58Speaker 1: You can't do what you used to do. You try
- 38:00Speaker 1: to do what you're gonna do, and you can't do
- 38:03Speaker 1: what you're gonna do. But stand still and see the
- 38:07Speaker 1: salvation of the Lord. I will show you. Type it
- 38:13Speaker 1: on the line, I will show you put it on
- 38:16Speaker 1: the pad. I will show you. Tell your neighbors. I
- 38:19Speaker 1: will show you. When it's time for you to know,
- 38:24Speaker 1: you're gonna know when it's time for you to see,
- 38:27Speaker 1: You're gonna see it. When it's time for you to
- 38:29Speaker 1: understand it, you're gonna understand it. Until then, walk by
- 38:33Speaker 1: faith and not by sight. When it's time for your
- 38:38Speaker 1: eyes to open, they're gonna open. When it's time for
- 38:41Speaker 1: you to see, you're gonna see it. But I told
- 38:44Speaker 1: you to go to the pool, and I knew you
- 38:47Speaker 1: were blind, and I want you to grow after it
- 38:50Speaker 1: and feel after it. And when you get to the water,
- 38:53Speaker 1: I will everybody who God give him a praise. Right now,
- 39:12Speaker 1: I got this building. I didn't know how we were
- 39:14Speaker 1: gonna pay for it. I had no clue. There was
- 39:19Speaker 1: nothing in my background that prepared me to need I
- 39:22Speaker 1: can't remember now something around eighty six million dollars just
- 39:26Speaker 1: to build a sanctuary. I had no point of reference.
- 39:29Speaker 1: I could not recognize a strategy because there was nothing
- 39:35Speaker 1: in my past of that magnitude. I told my mother
- 39:39Speaker 1: about it. She said, Baby, I can't think that high.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I thought, Lord, Mama, I can't either. But God said,
- 39:48Speaker 1: I will show you. They told me not to build
- 39:52Speaker 1: this kind of church in this kind of neighborhood. They
- 39:55Speaker 1: told me I want to move up to North Dallas
- 39:57Speaker 1: and build the church where the money was. But God
- 40:00Speaker 1: told me to stay right here. I will show you now.
- 40:10Speaker 1: They didn't give me bad advice. They gave me good
- 40:12Speaker 1: advice that makes really good sense. But this is not cognitive,
- 40:18Speaker 1: This is supernatural. This is not natural wisdom. This is
- 40:23Speaker 1: not the wisdom of men. This is the foolishness of God.
- 40:28Speaker 1: God has a way of doing things that bubbles the
- 40:31Speaker 1: mind of the wise. God says, I will show you
- 40:36Speaker 1: some of you. God told you to move here, and
- 40:38Speaker 1: you said, Lord, I don't even know what to do here.
- 40:41Speaker 1: He said, that's all right, just go ahead and move here.
- 40:44Speaker 1: I will show you glory to God. And so you
- 40:48Speaker 1: packed up your stuff and you moved by faith, and
- 40:51Speaker 1: you told your family you were moving, and they thought
- 40:53Speaker 1: you were crazy, but you left your kindred and you
- 40:57Speaker 1: went to a place that God said, when you get there,
- 41:01Speaker 1: I will show you. Now you're learning about faith. Now
- 41:05Speaker 1: you're learning about trust. Now you're learning about prayer. Now
- 41:09Speaker 1: you're learning about power and every now and in your
- 41:12Speaker 1: mind says.
- 41:12Speaker 2: What are you doing here?
- 41:14Speaker 1: But don't let your mind talk you back to where
- 41:16Speaker 1: you've already been. This is not cognitive, this is supernatural.
- 41:21Speaker 1: God said, I will show you if I'm preaching the
- 41:25Speaker 1: right thing in the right place to the right people.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Make some noise in here right now, he's going to
- 41:44Speaker 1: show you. He's going to show you. That's why he's
- 41:46Speaker 1: got your own line tonight, because he wants to reaffirm
- 41:49Speaker 1: in you. He's got a plan. He hadn't revealed it
- 41:53Speaker 1: to your lad, but he says, I will show you
- 41:56Speaker 1: when the time is right.
- 41:58Speaker 2: God is going to.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Reveal every thing to you as a believer. But until
- 42:03Speaker 1: then he has to test you to see if you
- 42:07Speaker 1: will walk in obedience without understanding.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Onus.
- 42:18Speaker 1: It's getting Genesis twelve and one. Let's go deeproof. Oh,
- 42:24Speaker 1: I'm talking to somebody, anybody on a faith journey right now.
- 42:30Speaker 1: And you're in the wilderness and you don't understand it,
- 42:33Speaker 1: and there's a feeling of uncertainty, and you got great faith,
- 42:37Speaker 1: but sometimes your murmur and complain because God got you
- 42:40Speaker 1: out your element and got you out of your comfort zone,
- 42:43Speaker 1: and you got a bunch of critics criticizing you. But
- 42:46Speaker 1: God keeps saying, I will show you. That's why you
- 42:49Speaker 1: had to be in this Bible class tonight. Because God
- 42:52Speaker 1: has given somebody confirmation. I don't know who it is,
- 42:56Speaker 1: but I feel a spirit of confirmation coming in this
- 43:00Speaker 1: place right now. God will show you why you had
- 43:04Speaker 1: to be here, why you had to do it then,
- 43:07Speaker 1: why you had to move now, why you don't have
- 43:10Speaker 1: no friends yet while you're still uncertain. God shook you
- 43:15Speaker 1: away from that which was familiar because it wasn't fruitful,
- 43:20Speaker 1: and he brought you into a place where you could
- 43:23Speaker 1: be fruitful. And he says, I will show you. Give
- 43:27Speaker 1: him thirty seconds of crazy praise. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 43:43Speaker 1: yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah,
- 43:49Speaker 1: but lord, I'm making less money. Don't worry about the money.
- 43:52Speaker 1: I will show you. But Lord, they don't even recognize
- 43:55Speaker 1: who I am. Don't worry about being recognized. I will
- 43:58Speaker 1: show you. But Lord, I I had a big title
- 44:01Speaker 1: where I was. Don't worry about titles. I will show you.
- 44:05Speaker 1: This is not about titles. This is not about recognition.
- 44:09Speaker 1: This is not about fame, this is not about fortune.
- 44:12Speaker 1: I'm fixing something down in you. And until I get
- 44:16Speaker 1: it fixed, oh come, mabo shot out baha. Until I
- 44:21Speaker 1: get it fixed, You're not gonna understand it. But you
- 44:25Speaker 1: gotta trust me. I will show you glory. I feel
- 44:30Speaker 1: the annoying all over me. I feel the spirit of
- 44:33Speaker 1: a prophetic utterance all over me. I feel a word
- 44:37Speaker 1: from God flowing in this place. I feel the power
- 44:40Speaker 1: of God speaking in this place. God is going to
- 44:43Speaker 1: show you. If that's your word for the night, give
- 44:47Speaker 1: him a praise and thank him. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Clap your hands in praising. Go home and tell your children.
- 45:18Speaker 1: God's gonna show us. Tell your spouse, God's gonna show us.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Tell all them critics who are talking about you like
- 45:25Speaker 1: a dog. God's gonna show you. He's gonna prepare a
- 45:28Speaker 1: table before me in the presence of my enemies. He's
- 45:31Speaker 1: gonna annoint my head with all My cup's gonna run over,
- 45:34Speaker 1: and God's gonna show you where I came from. They
- 45:45Speaker 1: called me Jim Jones and called me a colt because
- 45:49Speaker 1: fifty folks who went with me, and that sounded like
- 45:52Speaker 1: a cult to me. I don't care what it sounds
- 45:55Speaker 1: like to you. God told me to do it. He
- 45:58Speaker 1: told them to come. Twenty five years later, they standing
- 46:02Speaker 1: there with the teeth hanging out of the mouth. Because
- 46:05Speaker 1: God will show you in due season. Let us not
- 46:09Speaker 1: be weary in well doing, for you shall reap in
- 46:13Speaker 1: due season if you faint not it's coming. It's coming.
- 46:18Speaker 1: It's coming. It's coming. It's coming. It's coming. It's coming.
- 46:22Speaker 1: It's coming, it's coming, it's coming. Type it on the line.
- 46:25Speaker 1: It's coming. It's coming. Say it to your neighbor. It's coming.
- 46:28Speaker 1: It's coming. It's coming. It's coming. You don't see it
- 46:32Speaker 1: right now, but ah, we'll.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Come on.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Let's go depert, come on, say let's go deeper. Let's
- 46:47Speaker 1: go deeper. Oh, something's gonna happen in here tonight. I
- 46:52Speaker 1: feel the spirit of the Holy Spirit speaking in this place,
- 46:55Speaker 1: their word of knowledge flowing in this place. Right now.
- 46:58Speaker 1: There's word of wisdom flowing this place right now. God
- 47:01Speaker 1: just comforted somebody's anxiety. He said, I will show you.
- 47:06Speaker 1: I will show you. I will show you. Just rest
- 47:09Speaker 1: in me and trust me. I will show you. I
- 47:12Speaker 1: will give streams in the middle of your desert. I
- 47:17Speaker 1: will bring water out of a rock. I will supply
- 47:21Speaker 1: all of your knees according to his riches and glory.
- 47:25Speaker 2: I will watch this.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Go to Genesis twelve and one, and the Lord has
- 47:33Speaker 1: said to Abram, go from your country, your people, and
- 47:40Speaker 1: your father's household, three yours, your country, your people, your
- 47:49Speaker 1: father's household, to the land I will, my God. So
- 48:00Speaker 1: if you go from your you come to mind, your country,
- 48:08Speaker 1: your kindred, your father's household. You gave up three yours
- 48:13Speaker 1: to get one eye. Everything you thought was yours got
- 48:19Speaker 1: dislodged you from it, everything that was familiar to you.
- 48:23Speaker 1: God dislodged you from it and brought you from three
- 48:27Speaker 1: yours to one eye. I will show you, said, I
- 48:34Speaker 1: will show you, said again. I will set again, set again.
- 48:46Speaker 2: One more time. Now praising him for.
- 48:51Speaker 3: His word, just his wordy, just his wordy, just his word.
- 49:02Speaker 3: This is word, this his word, this his word, because
- 49:07Speaker 3: in him dislodging me from the youre, I am discovering
- 49:13Speaker 3: the eye. I can't hold on to the youre and
- 49:18Speaker 3: possess the eye. So I have to be willing to
- 49:21Speaker 3: let go of your thoughts so I can have his thoughts,
- 49:29Speaker 3: your way, so I can have his way. I got
- 49:33Speaker 3: to get rid of mine. And that's the hard part.
- 49:37Speaker 3: That's the hard part, because that's my kindred, that's my country,
- 49:50Speaker 3: that's my father's house.
- 49:52Speaker 1: I know it, I understand it. I'm acclimated to it.
- 49:56Speaker 1: I evolve from it. I'm familiar to it, I'm kin
- 50:01Speaker 1: to it, I'm skinned to it, I'm related to it.
- 50:05Speaker 1: And you want me to leave everything that I am
- 50:08Speaker 1: related to, or everything I relate to, to bring me
- 50:16Speaker 1: out into this desert of uncertainty. And all I have
- 50:21Speaker 1: is your word on it. And God said, that's right.
- 50:29Speaker 1: I'm going to strip you from every post you've been
- 50:32Speaker 1: leaning on until you don't have nobody else to trust
- 50:36Speaker 1: but me, and I will show you. Not I have
- 50:45Speaker 1: shown you, I will show you. So while I'm waiting
- 50:50Speaker 1: on the wheel, I got a walk. I got a
- 50:56Speaker 1: walk while I'm waiting on the wheel, because the will
- 51:00Speaker 1: is futuristic and the walk is now. So I'm walking
- 51:05Speaker 1: in uncertainty toward his will. Oh, y'all, will hear what
- 51:09Speaker 1: I'm saying to you? Said again, I will show you. Oh,
- 51:15Speaker 1: this is good. Go to Genesis twenty two. I got
- 51:17Speaker 1: one more. I stay and got to my text. Here, sir,
- 51:19Speaker 1: I got it. I got to hurry up, Yes, sir,
- 51:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna do that. Some time later, God tested Abraham.
- 51:33Speaker 1: He said to Abraham, here i am. Abraham replied. He
- 51:38Speaker 1: said to him, to excuse me, Abraham, here am i?
- 51:42Speaker 1: He replied. Then God said, take your son. Wait mint. Now, Lord,
- 51:51Speaker 1: it's all right for me to be out here. Take
- 51:55Speaker 1: your son, your only son, whom you love, Isai, and
- 52:03Speaker 1: go to the region of Mariah. Underlying region of Mariah.
- 52:08Speaker 1: I think you got bibles highlighted. Do whatever you do
- 52:11Speaker 1: with whatever device you got. Region of Mariah. God will
- 52:15Speaker 1: put you in the region. He'll put you in the
- 52:23Speaker 1: region without telling you exactly where. Let's test this by
- 52:29Speaker 1: the word. God brought Ruth the Moabitis into the region
- 52:36Speaker 1: of Boaz his field. She was in the region of
- 52:41Speaker 1: what she would later own. But God just put you
- 52:45Speaker 1: in the region. That's why your soul keeps getting happy,
- 52:50Speaker 1: because even though you haven't hid it yet, you know
- 52:54Speaker 1: you're close. Find somebody, ll I'm close. I'm in the region.
- 53:02Speaker 1: You should have killed me before I got to the region.
- 53:05Speaker 1: You should have took me out before I got to
- 53:07Speaker 1: the region. I'm in the region of my promised land.
- 53:11Speaker 1: I'm in the region of my destiny. I'm in the
- 53:14Speaker 1: region of my purpose. I'm in the region. No, I
- 53:17Speaker 1: count not myself to have apprehended, but I'm in the region.
- 53:21Speaker 1: I'm not there yet, but I'm in the region. I'm
- 53:24Speaker 1: closer than I've ever been in my life. How do
- 53:26Speaker 1: you know? My spirit knows it. I can't see it,
- 53:31Speaker 1: but I sense it. I can't touch it, but I
- 53:35Speaker 1: sense it. It's not in my bankheat, but I sense it.
- 53:39Speaker 1: I haven't gotten married yet, but I sense it. It
- 53:43Speaker 1: hadn't materialized, but I sense it. Look at you never
- 53:46Speaker 1: to say yeah, because you're in the region. You're in
- 53:48Speaker 1: the region. That's why the devil is fighting you. Because
- 53:51Speaker 1: you're in the region. You will know you're in the
- 53:56Speaker 1: region by the level of attack that comes.
- 53:59Speaker 2: Again.
- 54:00Speaker 1: You remember when Jesus cast the devils out a legion,
- 54:05Speaker 1: and the devil said, suffer us not to leave the region.
- 54:10Speaker 1: We don't want to leave this territory, because anytime somebody
- 54:14Speaker 1: comes into this territory, it's our job to drive them
- 54:18Speaker 1: away from the region. I've always known that God was
- 54:22Speaker 1: gonna bless me by how the devil attacked me. The
- 54:26Speaker 1: greater the attack, the greater the blessing. You never said
- 54:31Speaker 1: legions of demons if I weren't in the Oh, somebody
- 54:37Speaker 1: watching online, that was your word. You're in the region,
- 54:41Speaker 1: all hell is breaking loose. Before you finish one thing,
- 54:45Speaker 1: here comes something else. Before you straighten out that you
- 54:49Speaker 1: get attacked by this. It's a crazy attack. It's a
- 54:52Speaker 1: ridiculous attack. It don't make no sense, does it No,
- 54:56Speaker 1: Because it's demonic. You're in spiritual warfare. And the reason
- 55:00Speaker 1: you're in spiritual warfare is because you're in the Oh
- 55:06Speaker 1: my god, Oh my god, Oh my god. I messed
- 55:10Speaker 1: up and stepped in the region. I crossed the line
- 55:14Speaker 1: and I got in the territory. I stepped into a
- 55:17Speaker 1: place of my destiny. And the money's not flowing yet,
- 55:21Speaker 1: and the title's not there, and the job's not there,
- 55:24Speaker 1: but I can tell I'm in the region. Make some noise.
- 55:28Speaker 1: If I'm creating to you, make some noise. If I'm
- 55:31Speaker 1: talking to you, make some noise. If you hear God
- 55:34Speaker 1: speaking to you. I'm in the region. I'm in the region.
- 55:45Speaker 1: I'm in the region. I'm in the territory, and the
- 55:49Speaker 1: enemy's trying to get you off the territory. When the
- 55:52Speaker 1: Bible says neither give place to the devil, it means
- 55:56Speaker 1: don't give territory to the devil. Once you take a territory,
- 56:01Speaker 1: don't let the devil have that territory. Because you're closer
- 56:05Speaker 1: now than you've ever been in your life. You are
- 56:08Speaker 1: in the Lord. I feel like I'm talking right to somebody,
- 56:11Speaker 1: like i'm talking right to an individual I don't even
- 56:14Speaker 1: know what name to call, but I'm talking specifically to somebody.
- 56:19Speaker 1: I have totally described your situation. You're in the region.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Shout.
- 56:23Speaker 1: If you're in the region. The devil didn't attack you
- 56:36Speaker 1: till you got in the region. As soon as you
- 56:40Speaker 1: got in the region, here comes legions of demons coming
- 56:43Speaker 1: out to attack you because you're in the region. So
- 56:49Speaker 1: God says to God says Abraham, go to the region
- 56:56Speaker 1: of Mariah sacrifice. There as a burnt offering on a mountain.
- 57:08Speaker 1: I will show you you're in the region, and I'm
- 57:10Speaker 1: still not gonna tell you. I'm not gonna tell you
- 57:15Speaker 1: which mountain, but you're in the right mountain range. This
- 57:21Speaker 1: is not cognitive. You have never been here before. You
- 57:28Speaker 1: can't recognize this because you have never done this before.
- 57:34Speaker 1: You have to sense you're in the region.
- 57:40Speaker 2: Now.
- 57:40Speaker 1: This sensing thing is a spiritual thing. This is why
- 57:47Speaker 1: worship is important, because worship opens up your spiritual senses.
- 57:53Speaker 1: Some of you don't understand worship, and so you endear
- 57:56Speaker 1: the worship waiting on the word because you understand the word,
- 57:59Speaker 1: but you really don't get the worship. And you say, well,
- 58:02Speaker 1: I'm not emotional, I'm not in the worship. We're not
- 58:04Speaker 1: worshiping God because we're emotional. We're worshiping God in spite
- 58:10Speaker 1: of our emotions. We're not worshiping God because we feel
- 58:14Speaker 1: like worshiping God. We're trying to wake up our supernatural senses.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Worship opens up your spiritual senses. I never could understand
- 58:26Speaker 1: it because I grew up in a traditional mainline church
- 58:28Speaker 1: where the only time people shouted was when somebody starts
- 58:32Speaker 1: singing something. And then I got around charismatic Pentecostal people
- 58:36Speaker 1: and they start shouting and what nothing going on in
- 58:38Speaker 1: the service. And I was looking around trying to see
- 58:41Speaker 1: what they were shouting about. But see there was something
- 58:44Speaker 1: in their senses. The Book of Hebrews says that you
- 58:51Speaker 1: have your senses exercise by reason of use. So your
- 58:57Speaker 1: spiritual i gate, eargate, mouthcame touchgate gets stimulated or exercise
- 59:05Speaker 1: by using it. One of the ways you use it
- 59:08Speaker 1: is in worship, because you're worshiping a god you can't
- 59:13Speaker 1: see around people you can see, and you're not talking
- 59:19Speaker 1: to the people that you can see, but talking to
- 59:22Speaker 1: the God that you can't see. And the more you
- 59:25Speaker 1: talk to the gods you can't see, your senses are
- 59:29Speaker 1: being exercised by reason of use. The word translated exercise.
- 59:35Speaker 1: There is gymnatia where we get gymnasium. So when God
- 59:39Speaker 1: gets ready to give you a good workout, he shuts
- 59:42Speaker 1: out all of your natural senses so that you can
- 59:46Speaker 1: sense in your spirit what the Lord is saying to
- 59:50Speaker 1: the church. Otherwise this scripture don't make any sense. He
- 59:54Speaker 1: that had an ear let him hear what the spirit
- 59:57Speaker 1: is saying to church. Wait a minute, Lord, everybody got
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: a ear, he said, I'm not talking about your natural ear.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I'm talking about your spiritual ear. He that had an ear,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: let him hear. What the spirit is saying to the
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: church means that I'm not gonna talk to you in
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: an audible way. I'm gonna speak to you in a
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: spiritual way, and you're gonna sense it in your belly
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: though you heard nothing in your ear. Am I making
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: sense to you? And I put you in the worship
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: service so your senses could be exercised by reason of use?
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Can I go deeper? Cognitive require cognitive recall requires past experiences.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: So do you remember your second cousin, Willie James from Chicago? See, well,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: let me think a minute. I'm being cognitive. Let me
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: think about it. I had a past with him. Yeah, yeah, yeah, girl,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: I remember him. I rea remember him because he's my
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: point of reference. I had to search through my cognitive
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: reasoning in order to catch a glimpse of vision. One
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: of the things that is associated with memory is eyesight.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: There is a correlation between eyesight and memory, and so
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: what I see with my eyes I record with my mind.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: But what about when God gives me something that my
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: eyes haven't seen and my ears having heard, and neither
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: hath entered into my heart. I can't be cognitive because
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: I can't see it. That's how I remember you, because
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: I saw you, and I say, that's Serena. She changed
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: her hair, but that's you. It took me a minute
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: to recognize you. You did your hair different, but I
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: remembered your face. That means I had to encounter you
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: before to re to recognitive you. What God is getting
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: ready to do in your life is not cognitive. We
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: remember through associative cognition. Foreign names can be challenging to
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: remember because we don't have cognitive association. So when somebody
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: says my name is Ala, Baba, Shahanda Boshi, you say
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna call you a. It wouldn't be a problem
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: to remember it if you grew up around names like that,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: because you would have the association to help you to
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: be cognitive. But what about when God does something for
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: which you have no association and your eyes having seen it.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: I remember because I saw. It's hard to remember if
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: I'm blind, because my eye gain.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: Helps my mind to record data.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: We get back in the car, my wifeend say, I say,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: which one are you talking about? She said, the girl
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: in the red dress. Okay, she recorded it because she
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: saw the dress. That's her cognitive ability through association. She
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: remembers the woman because she remembers the dress. I don't
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: know who she talking about because I didn't pay no
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: attention to the woman or the dress by tell her
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: gone with the story going, with the story going to
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: you know, release yourself, let yourself go, tell me about it.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: Gone.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: And the next time we're in church, I say, which
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: one was it? Am I telling the truth? I do
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: it all the time. Which one? Show me which one
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: you're talking about? Because I need to see her, pay
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: attention and record it in my head because my eyes
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: are helping my mind to remember. If we don't have
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: cognitive association, we can't remember. Go to John six thirteen fifteen.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: I'm almost there. So they gathered them and filled twelve
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: baskets and the pieces of the five barley lows left
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: over by those who had eaten. After the people saw
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: the signs Jesus performed, they begin to say, watch this,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: surely this is the prophet who is come into the world.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Come on, Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: by himself. Wait a minute, Jesus didn't just go to
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: the mountain to pray. He went to the mountain to
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: hide because they had recognized him to be the Messiah.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: Now I understand why the disciples didn't recognize him when
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: he walked on the water, because he had hidden what
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: they recognized and showed himself in another form that made
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: the disciples think he was a ghost. Because what drove
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: him in the mountain to pray in the first place
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: is that he didn't want to be coordinated before being crucified.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Give me that other time. Put that other text up
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: here again, because I want them to recognize some former texts,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: the one you had.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Up there before. Yeah.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets and the
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: pieces of the five barley lows left over by those
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: who had eaten. Come on, after the people saw the
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: sign Jesus performed when he took the two fish and
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: five loaves of bread and fed the five thousand, they
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: begin to say, surely this is the prophet who is
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: coming to the world. Jesus knowing that they intended to
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: come and make him king by force, not by cross
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself. You
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: can't let people crown you before your time. Don't let
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: their compliments and their flattery push you into a position
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: that you are not ready for. Right now, let patients
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: have its perfect work. God will show you when it's
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: time for you to move. Until then, it's better to hide,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: even from your friends who are trying to force you. Child,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: If that was me, I would take over that church.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: If that was me, I would get that man. If
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: that was me, I would take that job. If that
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: was me, Shut up, it's not you. You're not going
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: to force me into being king because my next scheduled
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: appointment isn't with the crown, but across and the steps
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: he delighted in his way. Let me go on, okay,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: So let's go to Matthew fourteen, twenty five twenty nine,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: so you can see how when Jesus came in the
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: fourth watch of the night, Jesus went unto them walking
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: on the sea. Come on, and when the disciples saw
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: him walking on the sea, they were troubled saying it's
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: a spirit. And they cried out for fear. Why didn't
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: they recognize Jesus They had just seen him before. But
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: the problem that disciples kept having with Jesus, it said
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: they could not recognize Jesus whenever he showed up in
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: another form. But straightway Jesus spake under them, saying, be
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: of good cheer it is I be not afraid. They
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: didn't recognize his form, but they recognize his voice, for
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: the Bible said my sheep, no, my voice and a stranger.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: They will not follow.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: The form and the voice didn't line up with each other.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: But when they heard the voice, they said that sounds
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: like him. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: it be thou bid me to come unto thee.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: On the water.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I still don't trust the form because the form don't
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: look like the guy I left going up on the mountain,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: and the guy I left walking on the sand is
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: not the form I see walking on the water. That's
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: why God told Moses, you can't define me. I am
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: that I am.
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: See.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: I can turn into whatever I need to be whenever
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: I need to be, to do whatever I gotta do.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Because I'm God, I can be water flowing out of rock.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: I can be honey in the lion. I can be
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: the bread of Heaven. I can be whatever I want
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: to be. And now he's in another form. But he
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: had the same voice, and he said come. And when
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: on the water to go to Jesus. I said all
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: of that to get to the text. In our texts,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: we learn that God's answers often defy our recognition. He said,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: I'm going to send you bread. Remember I'm back in Exodus.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: I'm in Exodus sixteen one through five thirty one through
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: thirty two. He said, I'm gonna send bread. But the
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: people called it manna. They were looking for bread. Wait
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: a minute, what is their cognition of bread? Egypt? The
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: only bread they recognized was Egyptian bread. So when God
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: sent bread down from heaven, they didn't recognize it. They
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: called it man now, which means what is it.
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: Now?
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: God called it bread, They called it manna.
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: What is the.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Difference between bread and manna? Is what your cognitive thoughts
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: tell you it should have looked like. And now it's
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: in front of you, and the answer doesn't look like
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: what you thought. Oh, I'm working on someone. The reason
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: I'm in this text tonight, Well, there's a lot of
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: reasons I'm in this text tonight. But one of the
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: reasons that I'm in this text tonight is because sometimes
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: God's answer looks so different from what you thought that
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: you will reject his answer because you don't recognize it.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: This is the substratum of the gospel. He came into
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: his own and his own received him, not because they
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: did not.
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: They did not recognize them.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: If the princes of this world would have known what
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: they were doing, they would have never crucified the Lord.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: But they did not recognize them. Who do men say
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: that I am? Some say that Thou art Elias, and
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: some say that Jeremiah. Who do you say that I am?
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Only one of the twelve recognize him. It's the same
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: guy who recognized him on the water. Thou art the Christ.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Oh y'all don't hear y'all ain't shot and good as
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: I'm preaching. Thou art the Christ, the son of the
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: True and Living God. And Jesus says, flesh and blood
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: have not revealed this unto you. You didn't get this
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: through your natural eyes. But my Father, which is in heaven,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: And upon this rock I will build my church, and
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. I
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: will build my church on the backs of men and
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: women who can sense what they don't see, who can
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: recognize me in another form, who have supernatural revelation of
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: who I am. I'm gonna build my church every so often,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna raise up a man or a woman who
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: can see what other people cannot see. And if you
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: can see what they cannot see, you can get what
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: they cannot get. Oh, y'all, don't hear what I'm saying
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: to you. Look at you, and they're gonna say you
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: better recognize you better recognize that is your wife. You
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: better recognize that is your husband. Ah, now, that can't
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: be my husband. He too short. I ain't gonna go
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: on down that road. I could go. I can really
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: play with that, but I ain't gonna buy you got
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: all these things in your mind or what it ought
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: to look like. But relationships that last aren't built on
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: what you look like. They're built on something you sense
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: about that person. And that sensitivity transcends outer appearance, because
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: outer appearance may change, but what you sense remains. I've
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: told it a dozen times, but I'll tell it again.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: If you took me to my mother in law's house
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: and put me in the living room with the red
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: and black furniture in it, and I could put an
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: X on the spot where I knew she was my wife,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: I could, I declare. I promised you I could put
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: an X right on the spot where I knew she
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: was my wife. I didn't tell her I knew it.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: I didn't tell her at all. I got back in
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: the car with my friend Jerry, and I told him,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: come on, fellas, you know, we don't tell them. You
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: tell your boy. I told my boy. I said, I'm
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: gonna marry that woman. He said, yeah, man, I said, yeah,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna marry that woman. I just know I'm gonna
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: marry that woman. I'm supposed to marry that woman. She's
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: the one. How do you know it? I sensed it.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: I didn't see it. I sensed it. So I didn't
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: exactly ask her.
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: To marry me.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Yeah I did, finally, she said, I didn't ever ask her.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: I did, you know? Finally when you know? Eventually, But
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: what I said to her was we were driving down
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: the road going to Kanah City and we were on
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: the boulevard and I said, we were talking about something,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: and I said, I guess if I was to marry you,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: you would say yes for you. That's a bad line.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Don't try to use that line. That was the best
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: I could come up with. And she said, well yeah,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: I said, that's close enough. We're gonna go on for that.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: We're gonna go on for that. We're gonna go on
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: for that. That was the proposal. I did better later
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: when I gave her a second wedding ring. I got
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: on my knees and did all the fancy stuff. But
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: the first time I was driving and I said, if
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: I was to marry you, I just assume you would
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: say yes.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: What am I after tonight?
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: I am after this To recognize God's answer, you have
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: to let go of your image because God didn't promise
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: you something that you listed. God said, when you get
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: to the right region, I will show you. Okay, Now
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: we're gonna go to this text right quick, and I'm
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: gonna rep this up. Exit it sixteen one through five.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna read it again thirty one through thirty two.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Now we're reading it fully understanding what's happening. So the
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: whole issue community set out from Elim and came to
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: the desert of sin which is Betweenlip and Elam and Sinai,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: on the fifteenth day of the second month, after they
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: had come out of Egypt. They've been walking for two
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: and a half months in the desert. The whole community
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: grumbled dead. It got a bad attitude. It's hot. They've
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: been walking for two and a half months. They mad
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: at Moses and Aaron. Come on, the Israelite said to them,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: if only we had now they bitter we had died.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: They want to die by the Lord's hand. Any what
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: difference does it make where you die. If you're gonna
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: die in the wilderness or die in the Egypt, you're
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: still dead. When people say stupid stuff, don't argue. Don't
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: argue with them because they traumatize. What difference does it
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: make whether you die in Egypt or die in the wilderness,
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: You dead either way. Now you sit out here mad
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: at me because you're gonna die in the wrong spot. There,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: we say now, and by the way, you got to amnesia.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: There we sat around pots of meat and ate all
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: the food we wanted. But you're gonna die there. What
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: difference does it make what you eat? This is last meal.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: But you have brought us out into this desert to
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: starve this entire assembly to death. So you want to
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: go back to Egypt so you can die. And by
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: the way, you remember the food of Egypt and forgotten
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: the slavery. You forgot how you had to make bricks
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: without straw. You forgot how mean Freroh was to you,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: and how he abused you. And you want to go
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: back to abuse for dinner. Have you ever traded better
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: for lesser because it tastes good?
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: They they got quiet again. Jesus, you went back to
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: an abuser.
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: For what?
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: Why would you go back to somebody who was abusing
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: you because they can cook? So now the Lord is ticked.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: He said, I'm a rain down bread from heaven for you.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: The people are to go out each day and gather
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: enough for that day. And in this way I will
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: On the sixth day, they are to prepare Wait a minute,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: wait wait wait wait, wait wait wait wait hold it
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: don't move nowhere. Prepare. All my life I thought it
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: was low of bread. All my life, I thought God
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: sent hot dog bunnons and English muffins all my life.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: I pictured sandwiches falling from heaven. I didn't know that
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I had to cook. Wait a minute, there is a
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: message here. What God let rain down from heaven wasn't done.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: It had to be prepared. What God lets rain down
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: from heaven is potential. No wonder they didn't recognize it
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: because they hadn't prepared it. Could you have a blessing
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: and raw form that you don't recognized because you haven't
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: given it enough attention to prepare it to reach its
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: fullest potential? And so you are longing after, lusting after
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: something that's more prepared, because you don't want to put
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: the work in to take it from manna.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: To bread.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: Oh y'all, don't hear what I'm saying. Write down collaboration.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: This is the Moses experience. I don't have time to
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: work with them, out of time, but this is Moses experience.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: Alsoughout Moses' life. God is teaching Moses collaboration that it
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: will not be all God, but it will be God
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: in man. So when the ten commandments, first ten commandments
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: came down, Lord, let me stop, let me quit. When
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: they got the first ten commandments number one. The first
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: time they got at orally, and then they said this
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: we will do. The second time they got it. God
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: hewed out the stone and wrote the commandments. But when
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Moses came down off the mountaintop with that, that was
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: all God. They had built the idol. He dropped it
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: and it broke. The next time, God said, you hew
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: out the stone and I will write on it. That's collaboration.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: Over and over again, God keeps teaching us collaboration. I
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: am not going to rain down potential that you won't prepare.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: So you asked God for a job. God gave you
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: an interview. You asked God for a wife. God gave
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: you a date. You asked God for a second chance.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: God just gives you opportunity, opportunity to be saved, opportunity
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: to save yourself, opportunity to change your life, opportunity to
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: fix your situation. It is within your reach. It is
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: within your reach. God didn't let the man fall in
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: the tent. They had to go out and reach for it.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: Stretch forth your hand. You are coming into a reaching
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: season that God is going to put the opportunity within
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: your reachs and the more you stretch yourself to recognize
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: that this is my opportunity. The more God is going
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: to bring it in. It's not going to be by
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: his hand alone. It's going to be when you snatch
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: the opportunity. Now, snatch it back to you. That's what
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: the rest of this year is going to be like
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: for you. You've got to snatch that thing back to you.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: I don't know who I'm preaching to, but I feel
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: chill bumps all over me. The glory of God is
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: in this place. The spirit of God is in this place.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: You have got to prepare it. God is not gonna
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: get an oven and bake the manna and turn it
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: in the bread for you. He's just gonna give you
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: the potential, and you've got to turn around and bake
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: the potential until it looks like bread. Am I helping anybody?
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: I'm not helping anybody. If you're wanting me online right now,
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: there's some things falling in your life that are in
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: your reach that are not finished, and if you're not careful,
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: you're gonna step over it and call it manna and
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: not recognize that it is bread. God's answers don't look
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: like your prayer it's gonna look like manna. Now, I
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: don't know who this is for, but God sent you
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: something and it ain't finished, and it doesn't look like
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: what you had in mind, and you're about to walk
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: away from it, and you said, manna, what is it?
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: This story in Ezekiel sixteen is the shadow of Jesus Christ,
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: because he said, your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness,
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: and they perished. But I am the true bread that
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: comes down out of heaven. But when the true bread
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: came down, they did the same thing with the true
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: bread they did with the manna. When he came to
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: his own they said manna. They did not recognize him
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: as the Messiah because he wasn't finishing. Watch this. I'm
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: gonna show you one more thing. I'm gonna talk. The
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: children of Israel have been in Egypt four hundred years.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: When they came out, they had been out of Egypt,
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: actually four hundred and thirty years, but slaves four hundred years.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: They had been enslaved for four hundred years. They are
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: now sons. They've been out two and a half months.
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: And then the Manna comes down from heaven. Okay, if
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: that's the shadow, how does that compare it to the reality.
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: From Malachi to Matthew. It's four hundred years. And in
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: the Gospel of Saint Matthew, an angel comes along to
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: Mary and says, in a matter of months, you shall
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: bring forth a son, and his name shall be called Jesus,
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: and he shall save his people from their sins. But
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: the people said manna. I want to get manna out
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: of your mouth until you actually believe that what God
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: sent is what God said, and you stop sucking guessing
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: what the Lord has done. Stand to your feet. I'm sorry,
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: are you getting anything out of this? There's somebody watching
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: me right now. I don't know whether you're in the
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: room or whether you're online. God is sending you potential.
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: It's potential. It's within your reach. But it don't look
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: like what you thought it would look like because God
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: doesn't give you the finished product. He gives you the
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: potential and you have to reach out and pull it in.
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: And the Bible said they boiled it or baked it.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: You haven't processed the potential. It's not that God has
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: an answer. You got to reach out there in the
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: morning and pull it to you, and then you got
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: to put it together.
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: And form it and bake it and then eat it. Hey,
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: you're closer than you've ever been before.
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: And the reason I'm teaching this tonight is that I
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: don't want you to make the mistake that Israel Maid,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: that you prayed and God answered, but you walked over
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: the manner looking for bread, as if you had no
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: response ability to take potential and turn it into bread. Tonight,
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: my brothers and sisters, everything you ask God for is
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: within your reach.
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: Stretch out your hands again. It's in the stretch. It
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: won't be comfortable, your arms will be tired. It won't
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: be easy because it's not finished.
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: But whatever that is you've been praying about, get it
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: in your mind, get it in your spirit, get it
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: in your senses, and this time, when you pull it in,
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: claim it for yours now.
