- 3:07Speaker 4: the sports side of this. Waiting for the Minnesota Lynx
- 3:10Speaker 4: game to start here and there out in the West Coast,
- 3:12Speaker 4: trying to close out against the Valkyrie there, timber or
- 3:18Speaker 4: the uh listen to me, Timberwolves, the Links going for championship,
- 3:22Speaker 4: the Drive for five, as we'd like to say, so
- 3:26Speaker 4: eagerly waiting that game here later on WNBA. Game going
- 3:31Speaker 4: right now, Phoenix is up fifty three to thirty seven,
- 3:34Speaker 4: and the third quarter on New York. New York leads
- 3:37Speaker 4: that series one to ozher. And remember these are best
- 3:40Speaker 4: of three series here in the first rounds in the
- 3:42Speaker 4: WNBA playoffs.
- 3:44Speaker 3: So there you go.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Good luck to the Links, and I hope those ladies
- 3:49Speaker 4: can in this series tonight as well.
- 3:53Speaker 3: So all right, we're just gonna keep this show going.
- 3:56Speaker 4: And you know, I thought, hey, I just want to
- 4:01Speaker 4: talk about kind of the football mood that has all
- 4:03Speaker 4: of a sudden taken over the Twin Cities. Fans of
- 4:07Speaker 4: the Gophers, fans of the Vikings are feeling a little
- 4:11Speaker 4: bit different than they were a couple of weeks ago.
- 4:14Speaker 3: For sure.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Here Let's start with the Minnesota Golden Gophers and gold
- 4:20Speaker 4: and no pun intended. They played the col Golden Bears
- 4:23Speaker 4: out there in the Bay Area Berkeley to be exact,
- 4:28Speaker 4: beautiful campus, beautiful area, but the game not so beautiful
- 4:33Speaker 4: as the Gophers. Just you know, I mean, listen, I'm
- 4:36Speaker 4: coming to you late after the fact. I know you've
- 4:38Speaker 4: heard other podcasts and other podcast hosts and sports reporters
- 4:41Speaker 4: talk about it. I'm not telling you anything new here,
- 4:44Speaker 4: but again, just kind of disappointing to see the Gophers
- 4:48Speaker 4: yet again, you know, in a sense blow a game
- 4:51Speaker 4: that they really should have and.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Could have won.
- 4:55Speaker 4: But you know, very key mistakes, your four star All
- 5:01Speaker 4: American Coy Perrich and you know he had probably his
- 5:05Speaker 4: worst game as a Gopher on all sides of the ball.
- 5:08Speaker 4: They're returning offense, defense, whatever it was. They're not Cooy's
- 5:14Speaker 4: best game at all.
- 5:16Speaker 3: And also just again timely mistakes. You know, the Gophers.
- 5:19Speaker 3: It was the literal take two, take a step forward,
- 5:23Speaker 3: take two steps back type of game. You know, they
- 5:27Speaker 3: had an opportunity to kind of go ahead in this game.
- 5:29Speaker 3: They blew that. We did have some again, some nice
- 5:33Speaker 3: flashes from Drake lindsay.
- 5:38Speaker 4: But you know, Brockington was the star of the game,
- 5:42Speaker 4: over one hundred yards receiving. But again the Gophers just
- 5:45Speaker 4: they get down the field and just find the ways
- 5:47Speaker 4: to stall out some penalties here and there, and again
- 5:52Speaker 4: just another golden opportunity because now at two and one,
- 5:57Speaker 4: the Gophers are going to be looking at Rutgers here
- 6:01Speaker 4: and I'll speak on that game here in a second.
- 6:03Speaker 4: They have a week off, so the Gophers don't play
- 6:06Speaker 4: this Saturday. That game is next Saturday at eleven am.
- 6:10Speaker 4: And by the way, if Gophers don't write this ship here, folks,
- 6:14Speaker 4: we're gonna be seeing.
- 6:15Speaker 3: A lot more eleven am start times here.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Our Gophers have been fairly lucky in terms of scheduling times.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Now again your sports governor Vince writes out there in
- 6:26Speaker 4: the tailgate lots and hanging out with the peeps and
- 6:28Speaker 4: doing all the things pregaming it, and a two point
- 6:32Speaker 4: thirty start time, you know, especially now when the weather's
- 6:36Speaker 4: still nice. For me, that's kind of the sweet spot
- 6:40Speaker 4: you get out there, you know, on the two thirty game,
- 6:43Speaker 4: I like to show up to the tailgate lot maybe
- 6:45Speaker 4: about eleven, you know, plenty of time set up and
- 6:50Speaker 4: just enjoy the festivities, walk around the other tailgates lot,
- 6:54Speaker 4: see some other friends that we've made, things like that.
- 6:58Speaker 4: But the Gophers at two and one, now, if they
- 7:05Speaker 4: don't write this ship and you know, again, this is
- 7:09Speaker 4: the Gophers, and we just really, you know, this game
- 7:12Speaker 4: was just kind of a reality check in terms of
- 7:16Speaker 4: you know, obviously you could take nothing against the Northwestern
- 7:19Speaker 4: State game. Just a different class of team, no disrespect
- 7:23Speaker 4: to them, but it is what it is, and this
- 7:26Speaker 4: was really the first test there. And props to the
- 7:29Speaker 4: Cal Golden Bears. I mean, they got a very talented team.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Their quarterback is probably gonna make a lot of noise
- 7:36Speaker 4: even though they play in the ACC now if you
- 7:39Speaker 4: can believe that.
- 7:40Speaker 3: But you know, props to them. They came out, they
- 7:43Speaker 3: did what they had to do. They had an energetic
- 7:46Speaker 3: crowd there. You know, the cal.
- 7:48Speaker 4: University of California at Berkeley not known for sellout football
- 7:51Speaker 4: games unless they're playing Stanford.
- 7:53Speaker 3: There are trival the Battle of the smart kids.
- 7:56Speaker 4: But you know, lively crowd on a Saturday night, you know,
- 8:01Speaker 4: good college football atmosphere, all that stuff, and Cal Dick
- 8:06Speaker 4: they did what they had to do and they won
- 8:07Speaker 4: that game. Props to the quarterback, Like I said, very talented,
- 8:11Speaker 4: hard to pronounce the names, so I'm not gonna try.
- 8:13Speaker 3: But you know, at this point we all know what
- 8:15Speaker 3: he did.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Uh, definitely someone to keep eyes on, for sure. They're
- 8:22Speaker 4: kind of conservative calls Again from PJ. Fleck, it seemed
- 8:25Speaker 4: like just I don't know, man, it just we have
- 8:29Speaker 4: these games where just everything is just kind of bizarro world,
- 8:33Speaker 4: alternate universe at times, and you know, whether it's play
- 8:37Speaker 4: calling from the sidelines, execution on the field, missed opportunities, mispasses.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Whatever it is that was this game. Now as we look.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Forward, Rutgers comes in and people, you know, go, oh Rutgers,
- 8:53Speaker 4: and you know they think of kind of the old
- 8:55Speaker 4: days of Rutgers football. But Gophers are coming off of
- 8:58Speaker 4: a loss at Rutgers LaBlast year. The athey and Caliam
- 9:02Speaker 4: Panis our former Gopher quarterback, got his revenge. You'll be
- 9:07Speaker 4: looking to get more of that revenge here Saturday as
- 9:10Speaker 4: he makes his return to Huntington Banks Stadium.
- 9:14Speaker 3: And you know, the Gophers if they're not prepared here
- 9:18Speaker 3: and they go to and two, they are.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Then on the road to at number one Ohio State
- 9:24Speaker 4: and then you're looking at issues because bear with me
- 9:29Speaker 4: here as I'm I'm working off of the app recording
- 9:33Speaker 4: in this podcast tonight.
- 9:34Speaker 3: But you have Rutgers, Ohio State, you have Purdue coming in,
- 9:40Speaker 3: and then you have this real.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Interesting stretch of you know, games against Nebraska, Iowa on
- 9:46Speaker 4: October twenty fifth, Michigan State, and then you hit Oregon.
- 9:52Speaker 4: So you it's it's very interesting because we just don't
- 9:59Speaker 4: know what we're gonna get with this Gophers team. You know,
- 10:02Speaker 4: new quarterback, new players on both sides of the ball,
- 10:06Speaker 4: and we got to see how they respond. I think
- 10:08Speaker 4: having a week off doesn't do anything but help them,
- 10:12Speaker 4: you know, game plan, figure out some things they did
- 10:14Speaker 4: wrong last year in the game against Rutgers, prepare for
- 10:18Speaker 4: you know, what they're gonna do this year against Rutgers.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Hopefully some some new looks on offense and whatnot. But
- 10:25Speaker 4: this could go definitely kind of south real quick if
- 10:30Speaker 4: the Gophers don't write this ship here and they got
- 10:33Speaker 4: a great opportunity. It's Rutgers that's coming in and again,
- 10:37Speaker 4: not that Ohio State game, not that Oregon game, whatever
- 10:40Speaker 4: the case may be. Just glad that they have a
- 10:43Speaker 4: week off to prepare, and I'm very very anxious to
- 10:46Speaker 4: see how they respond here because if they don't get
- 10:49Speaker 4: this win, they go to two and two, it could
- 10:52Speaker 4: be very interesting going forward here with the Big ten schedules.
- 10:55Speaker 3: So keep your eyes open.
- 10:57Speaker 4: We'll definitely jump in week working on some guests for
- 11:01Speaker 4: next next week's show and doing a little go for
- 11:04Speaker 4: preview on that Rutgers game as well. So quick break here,
- 11:08Speaker 4: we will be right back with sports done right.
- 11:12Speaker 5: Hey, do you know that Seventh That Pizza is one
- 11:15Speaker 5: of the best frozen pizzas on the market, Well, we
- 11:17Speaker 5: do now. Seventh That Pizza is a family owned business
- 11:20Speaker 5: in the Twin Cities. Seventh That produces the highest quality
- 11:23Speaker 5: of best tasting frozen pizzas available in the market today.
- 11:27Speaker 5: If delicious toppings are.
- 11:28Speaker 3: What you're craving, look no further.
- 11:30Speaker 5: Their thin crusted pizzas are made with the highest quality ingredients,
- 11:34Speaker 5: including spicy sauces, hardy meats, and assortments of delicious Wisconsin cheese.
- 11:40Speaker 5: The meats are real, no fillers. Go online to Seventh
- 11:43Speaker 5: That Pizza dot com to find a location near you.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Get you some, all right, get you some indeed, As
- 11:51Speaker 4: Matt Geffries says there in the ads seventh Avenue pizza,
- 11:55Speaker 4: best pizza out there in the biz. All right, folks
- 11:59Speaker 4: moving along to them, So the Vikings and here we
- 12:02Speaker 4: go JJ McCarthy injured.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Now the injury is a two to four weaker.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Who knows, maybe a little longer, And it's definitely going
- 12:11Speaker 4: to be longer because if Carson Wentz comes in here
- 12:13Speaker 4: and starts lighting things up, here we go quarterback controversy
- 12:18Speaker 4: or dare I say, maybe not so much of a
- 12:22Speaker 4: controversy because the seven of eight quarters of JJ McCarthy,
- 12:27Speaker 4: let's be honest, has not been stellar whatsoever. Had the
- 12:32Speaker 4: great fourth quarter and you know in the well a
- 12:36Speaker 4: couple games back now and you know, outside of that
- 12:41Speaker 4: fourth quarter in the Bears game, it's just it has
- 12:44Speaker 4: not been looking good. Now we can have the arguments,
- 12:48Speaker 4: should he have played in the preseason? Should we have
- 12:50Speaker 4: done this? Should we have done that? Sports Governor's a
- 12:54Speaker 4: big fan of playing people in the preseason. I know
- 12:58Speaker 4: that that is really fun out of cache here over
- 13:01Speaker 4: the past few years injury worries.
- 13:04Speaker 3: And trust me, I get that.
- 13:06Speaker 4: I understand that It's not like I'm saying play these people,
- 13:09Speaker 4: you know, all game for hat for a full half
- 13:12Speaker 4: or anything like that.
- 13:14Speaker 3: But with JJ McCarthy, we have a different situation.
- 13:17Speaker 4: We have a rookie that got no experience, you know,
- 13:22Speaker 4: got injured, couldn't play, miss missed the year, you know, right,
- 13:28Speaker 4: come out, Sam Darnold lights it up, he gets his
- 13:33Speaker 4: deal and goes to his new team out in Seattle.
- 13:37Speaker 4: And now JJ with the high ankle sprain. Here we go,
- 13:43Speaker 4: Carson comes in a couple scenarios. Sure, hey, half, Carson
- 13:47Speaker 4: stinks it up and this season goes south rather quickly.
- 13:50Speaker 4: I don't know who knows what you're gonna see, but
- 13:53Speaker 4: Viking's got issues beyond the quarterback. That offensive line really
- 13:57Speaker 4: needs to start gelling. They are not helping JJ's cause whatsoever.
- 14:03Speaker 4: To be perfectly fair to JJ McCarthy, but you know,
- 14:09Speaker 4: defense is okay, need you know, we need to get
- 14:13Speaker 4: better there. Everybody who was excited that we got Adam
- 14:16Speaker 4: feeling back, I was too. But again, he can't help
- 14:20Speaker 4: you if his quarterback is getting smashed every other play.
- 14:23Speaker 3: So you know, Carson Wentz needs time too. Say what
- 14:31Speaker 3: you want.
- 14:31Speaker 4: I mean, quarterbacks need time. And you know this offensive
- 14:35Speaker 4: line on the Minnesota Vikings has really got to start
- 14:38Speaker 4: playing a lot better football.
- 14:40Speaker 3: It's that simple. It really is that simple.
- 14:45Speaker 5: You know.
- 14:47Speaker 3: As much as I like JJ seems like a nice kid.
- 14:51Speaker 4: In congratulations to him, I'm becoming a father here last
- 14:55Speaker 4: week before the game, but I just thought he needed
- 14:59Speaker 4: to play more preseason folks, and I think unfortunately, and
- 15:04Speaker 4: you know, things happen, but you know, between the offensive
- 15:08Speaker 4: line and also when he's just gotten passes off, I mean,
- 15:11Speaker 4: he seems rush. He is miss receivers badly. He has,
- 15:17Speaker 4: you know, made some nice throws here and there, some
- 15:19Speaker 4: nice completions, but you know, this is your franchise quarterback,
- 15:24Speaker 4: and you know that's the thing you put these you
- 15:27Speaker 4: put the pressure on these rookies nowadays to come in
- 15:30Speaker 4: and perform right away. Well, this is where we're at
- 15:33Speaker 4: in the NFL, so you got to perform right away now,
- 15:40Speaker 4: Bengals coming to town. Joe Burrow out, I mean, just
- 15:45Speaker 4: you know, again, you talk about another big time quarterback,
- 15:48Speaker 4: injury prone, as talented as Burrow is. And I'm a
- 15:51Speaker 4: big Joe Burrow fan, by the way. I loved him
- 15:54Speaker 4: in that championship run at LSU and just kind of
- 15:58Speaker 4: you know, watch them on quarterback. I just kind of
- 16:00Speaker 4: like his persona, like how he proaches things. But man,
- 16:03Speaker 4: dude just cannot stay healthy for whatever reason. And you
- 16:07Speaker 4: gotta wonder too, after a moment or two, what Cincinnati
- 16:11Speaker 4: thinks about that going into their future as well. But
- 16:16Speaker 4: I digress, I digress. Let's get back to the Vikings here.
- 16:19Speaker 4: So Carson Wentz coming in here, if the Vikings can
- 16:23Speaker 4: protect him and hopefully he can help resurrect this ship.
- 16:27Speaker 3: I don't care. I just want victories. I don't care.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Honestly, I do not care who is back there taking snaps.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Whoever is going to help the Minnesota Vikings win games.
- 16:36Speaker 4: That's who we roll with, and that's who needs to
- 16:39Speaker 4: be in there. With that being said, stay tuned, let's
- 16:45Speaker 4: just see what happens.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Man.
- 16:46Speaker 4: But Minnesota, like I said, they got they have Cincinnati
- 16:52Speaker 4: coming in and bear with me here as I pull
- 16:55Speaker 4: up their schedule on the fly, because.
- 17:01Speaker 3: It is here, we go with me. Okay, So Vike
- 17:09Speaker 3: or the Bengals next Sunday, followed by a trip to
- 17:16Speaker 3: Is that the Ireland game?
- 17:17Speaker 4: I believe?
- 17:18Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 17:19Speaker 4: So they play the Steelers. That's an eight thirty am
- 17:22Speaker 4: start locally.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Then they got the Browns. I think that's the London game.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Since they're already over there, they're just staying there.
- 17:29Speaker 4: So yeah, it's it's an opportunity to play some teams
- 17:33Speaker 4: and and honestly right the ship a little bit. Nobody's
- 17:37Speaker 4: really scared of Pittsburgh or Cleveland by any means, and
- 17:42Speaker 4: very interested to watch Pittsburgh with their new.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Quarterback, mister Aaron Rodgers. But yeah, this is a time
- 17:48Speaker 3: for the Vikings kind.
- 17:49Speaker 4: Of maybe settle things down a little bit and then
- 17:53Speaker 4: I don't know, I mean, you know, we've heard everything
- 17:55Speaker 4: on from all the local media, all the radio shows,
- 17:58Speaker 4: all the podcasts.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Let's run through the scenarios.
- 18:02Speaker 4: Let's say Carson does exactly that and starts lighting it up,
- 18:06Speaker 4: and you know, all of a sudden, you know, Randall
- 18:09Speaker 4: Cunningham two point zero whatever you want to call the
- 18:11Speaker 4: comeback quarterback, and then you got to make that decision.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Say the Vikings reel off three victories in a row
- 18:19Speaker 4: here and now they're franchise quarterback JJ McCarthy's ready to
- 18:23Speaker 4: come back after yeah, four weeks, let's say, what.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Do you do?
- 18:28Speaker 3: Mm hmmm. Quarterback controversy. You gotta love a good quarterback controversy. People,
- 18:38Speaker 3: So that's one scenario. Obviously.
- 18:40Speaker 4: The scenario that we don't want to see is kind
- 18:44Speaker 4: of a continuation of the Vikings continue to kind of
- 18:48Speaker 4: stink it up here and Carson makes no difference.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Then you're gonna have Gopher fans.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Calling for Max Brosmer to get a shot. I mean,
- 18:57Speaker 4: it could get crazy here, But excited to see what
- 19:01Speaker 4: Carson Wentz can do.
- 19:03Speaker 3: I mean, we know what the resume is. He's had
- 19:06Speaker 3: some good years, he's had some bad years.
- 19:09Speaker 4: I was actually a big proponent of him coming out
- 19:12Speaker 4: of North Dakota State when he did, and you know,
- 19:15Speaker 4: he proved me right for you know, those first couple
- 19:17Speaker 4: of years out there in Philadelphia. Then you get some injuries, trades,
- 19:22Speaker 4: lined up on different teams. But he's Minnesota Viking now
- 19:26Speaker 4: playing for the team he grew up watching, by the way.
- 19:29Speaker 3: And was a fan of. So we will see, we
- 19:33Speaker 3: will see.
- 19:34Speaker 4: I just hope that they're able to just kind of
- 19:36Speaker 4: calm down. The offensive line can step up and protect them.
- 19:39Speaker 4: We establish somewhat of a running game here as well,
- 19:43Speaker 4: and then things open up for Feeling and Jefferson and
- 19:47Speaker 4: some of these you know, very very talented receivers and
- 19:51Speaker 4: tight ends that we have, you know, Hockens, so got
- 19:53Speaker 4: to get TJ back in the mix.
- 19:55Speaker 3: I mean he's he's kind of been mia here now
- 19:58Speaker 3: for a while. We got to get him going. So, folks.
- 20:03Speaker 4: Basketball football wise in Minnesota, very interesting turn of events
- 20:09Speaker 4: so to speak. Here outside of that Minnesota Twins, well,
- 20:16Speaker 4: we'll see you next year. Ownership issues. Fans really turned
- 20:20Speaker 4: on the Pole Lads. The Pole Lads got rid of
- 20:23Speaker 4: their or got rid of most of.
- 20:25Speaker 3: The scouting staff. Now here's the thing.
- 20:30Speaker 4: And you know, gotta be fair because I posted that
- 20:34Speaker 4: on my Twitter timeline earlier, and I'm just like, just
- 20:36Speaker 4: sell the team. I mean, got to get rid of
- 20:38Speaker 4: the scouting department basically. And I guess, however, that a
- 20:45Speaker 4: lot of other teams are basically getting rid of in
- 20:48Speaker 4: person scouting and doing.
- 20:50Speaker 3: It all by video for the most part.
- 20:52Speaker 4: So to be fair to the Twins, what they did
- 20:56Speaker 4: today is actually not so much of a big deal.
- 21:00Speaker 4: It seems like especially to us older folks, us old
- 21:03Speaker 4: fans like myself fifty plus years of age that grew up,
- 21:07Speaker 4: you know, in a certain time, and they hear that
- 21:09Speaker 4: old man, you know, team's getting rid of their entire
- 21:12Speaker 4: in person scouting team.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Well, that's that would have been a big deal, but
- 21:15Speaker 3: not so much anymore.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Outside of that, you have the Minnesota while they start
- 21:22Speaker 4: training camp tomorrow and you know, Carell, carib Listener Krill
- 21:32Speaker 4: and the contract. Again, we've been hearing so much here lately.
- 21:38Speaker 3: That will he sign? What does he want?
- 21:42Speaker 4: He was already offered the highest contract in NHL history.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Is it about the length of years? Was eight years
- 21:50Speaker 3: too many? Does he not want to be here that long?
- 21:53Speaker 3: What does Carill want?
- 21:58Speaker 4: I don't know, nobody does except for him and probably
- 22:03Speaker 4: his agent, and capriz Off is obviously the main guy.
- 22:12Speaker 3: He drives it all with the Minnesota Wild.
- 22:14Speaker 4: He has definitely earned the contract, he gets all that stuff.
- 22:18Speaker 4: But it's just been very, very interesting because we're going
- 22:22Speaker 4: to training camp. I listen, there's still a something tells
- 22:27Speaker 4: me this gets done.
- 22:29Speaker 3: I don't know when. I maybe sooner rather than later.
- 22:32Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Other than that, I mean, maybe he just doesn't want
- 22:38Speaker 4: to be in Minnesota.
- 22:40Speaker 3: And I know that is super hard for.
- 22:42Speaker 4: The Minnesota hockey fans, because you know, Minnesota hockey fans
- 22:46Speaker 4: like literally this this is hockey Kingdom, this is the
- 22:49Speaker 4: birthplace of hockey.
- 22:50Speaker 3: This is where it all centers Minnesota.
- 22:53Speaker 4: So for them to have the biggest star on their
- 22:56Speaker 4: team maybe not want to be here is something that
- 23:00Speaker 4: just they're not going to be able.
- 23:02Speaker 3: To figure out. I hope we get some answer soon.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Minnesota Wild needs this guy obviously, but just want to
- 23:11Speaker 4: see where his head is at and what he's thinking
- 23:13Speaker 4: and if this deal gets done soon.
- 23:15Speaker 3: So all right, folks, with that, I am ending the
- 23:19Speaker 3: Sports Done Right podcast for this.
- 23:20Speaker 4: We thank you for tuning in. I hope the sound
- 23:23Speaker 4: was good. Like I said, I was actually using the
- 23:25Speaker 4: spreaker app. I am away from home this evening, but
- 23:28Speaker 4: I wanted to make sure that I got a show
- 23:30Speaker 4: out because I meant to do one last night, but
- 23:34Speaker 4: real life got in a way.
- 23:35Speaker 3: So thank you for listening.
- 23:37Speaker 4: I am Vince Right, the sports governor of the great
- 23:40Speaker 4: state of Minnesota.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Thank you so much for tuning in, and I am out.
- 23:49Speaker 4: You can get your sports scattered, smothered, or covered, but
- 23:53Speaker 4: why would.
