[SPEAKER_05]: That's why we're going super early because I got a train tonight, so I got one more game.
• 0:37
[SPEAKER_05]: One more game inside my tiny little body on Saturday night, cheers, let's take a shot of Ketown IQ here.
• 0:43
[SPEAKER_05]: We're not going to have any ads other than my bookie in Ketown IQ, I guess today.
• 0:49
[SPEAKER_05]: Simply because this is a bonus, it was not expecting this, one of the crazier stories we've had in a while here in cheers.
• 0:59
[SPEAKER_05]: Boom, now I can start my life.
• 1:00
  [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you, Keith Tom.
• 1:01
  [SPEAKER_05]: All right, last week.
• 1:04
[SPEAKER_05]: started for the Dallas bulls in the national arena league going against team Mexico.
• 1:12
[SPEAKER_05]: Now in the lead up to this, I was going to wear number 69.
• 1:15
[SPEAKER_05]: We had blues blue jerseys and all that other fun stuff.
• 1:19
[SPEAKER_05]: When I got to the park at fair park Colosseum, team Mexico had solid colors.
• 1:26
[SPEAKER_05]: And so at the last minute they said, hey guys, you guys have to wear white jerseys because we can't have solids against solids.
• 1:32
[SPEAKER_05]: referees said that'll be too hard to judge in everything else.
• 1:36
[SPEAKER_05]: Just grabbed a jersey out of a box.
• 1:39
[SPEAKER_05]: It was number 55, took a picture on it, posted it for you guys and it said, hey guys, I'm wearing number 55.
• 1:46
[SPEAKER_05]: Apparently, when the game started, because obviously I'm playing in it, so I don't have a chance to go and look, 55 was Red is Brad.
• 1:59
[SPEAKER_05]: Namdar, every single time, and you guys have been calling me Brad Berad, the famous Brad Namdar, all week long, and in the day and age we live in right now, everybody thinks either it's a conspiracy, it's all fake, somebody kicked for me, or that I was cloned or in the last one I heard was that it was AI.
• 2:26
[SPEAKER_05]: Between all the comments back and forth between all the socials that were air in the game live We had over 40,000 comments talking about Brad Nadmar and I said alright
• 2:37
[SPEAKER_05]: I got to get the famous Brad Nadmaur on the show here.
• 2:41
[SPEAKER_05]: Give him a round of applause if you will.
• 2:43
  [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.
• 2:44
  [SPEAKER_05]: There he is.
• 2:47
[SPEAKER_05]: This is the real Brad Nadmaur.
• 2:50
[SPEAKER_05]: OK, I would say stand up, but you'd be the same heights.
• 2:54
[SPEAKER_05]: You and I have quite a bit of height difference.
• 2:57
  [SPEAKER_05]: I'm kissing six, four.
• 2:58
  [SPEAKER_05]: I'll tell you, Brad.
• 3:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, hey, Ross, is it on her son?
• 3:05
[SPEAKER_05]: I fucked up your last name all week, and it's been red.
• 3:10
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm okay with it, you know, it's all good, but no, I'm five, five on a good day.
• 3:14
[SPEAKER_05]: Five, five on a good day, okay, perfect.
• 3:17
[SPEAKER_05]: You should know, though, that on this show, we've been doing for 11 years, top 40 in the world for, you know, comedy for 11 years, consecutively.
• 3:24
[SPEAKER_05]: I fucked up everyone's last name, including Matthew McConaughey.
• 3:28
[SPEAKER_05]: But I mean, including Masima Khanahes, so you're in good company.
• 3:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 3:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: Good.
• 3:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: Good.
• 3:32
[SPEAKER_00]: That makes me feel better.
• 3:33
[SPEAKER_05]: There's an Oscar winner and then you and now what I what I do want to tell the audiences, all of these arena teams carry multiple kickers and the rules are entirely different than the NFL or any of the league that I played in college all over their stuff.
• 3:49
[SPEAKER_05]: and Brad was kind enough to be essentially my mentor there and kind of helped me out with the rules.
• 3:55
[SPEAKER_05]: We all know that initially I was brought in for publicity.
• 3:59
[SPEAKER_05]: They made me go through the try outs and all that other stuff.
• 4:01
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's false, Ross.
• 4:03
[SPEAKER_00]: You brought up a base upon your talent and your pride and ethic as with Texas about and with all seriously.
• 4:11
[SPEAKER_05]: And so do I. I trained for months with my kids and it just turned out I was able to do this again.
• 4:18
[SPEAKER_05]: They're sponsoring the league, they've got odds already up for tomorrow night's game.
• 4:23
[SPEAKER_05]: which I got traded in the middle of the week, so I'm going against you.
• 4:26
[SPEAKER_05]: But let's start with the game last Saturday nights.
• 4:31
[SPEAKER_05]: So I got to meet you, essentially, in that Friday practice, it was a day before, it was a day before the first game.
• 4:39
[SPEAKER_00]: We met, and I realized, you're definitely, we're not clones, you and me, so let's throw that one out of the room.
• 4:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we look so much alike.
• 4:51
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, height wise and facial and all that good stuff.
• 4:54
[SPEAKER_00]: So, but no, yeah, we've met the day before And just, you know, gain on the turf and figuring out, okay, you know, just get some kicks and cause the arena is pretty interesting.
• 5:06
  [SPEAKER_05]: Hi, boy.
• 5:07
[SPEAKER_05]: Let's get into it, dude.
• 5:08
[SPEAKER_05]: So, by the way, thank God you were there to kind of walk me through this because, um, that, let's start with the turf.
• 5:15
  [SPEAKER_05]: It's horrific.
• 5:17
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it's just carpet at that point.
• 5:19
[SPEAKER_05]: And on the first extra point that I did, I got my foot caught in it.
• 5:23
[SPEAKER_05]: You could see like a two inch rise in some of the carpet there and you've played for years.
• 5:31
[SPEAKER_05]: So you're used to this and then you said, hey,
• 5:33
[SPEAKER_05]: Just going a little closer so you're not on the seams of the carpet next try and then it was perfect after that all the kick-offs are great because there was no seams down there But same thing happened to you When you went in the second quarter you went down on the other end and you shortened it up by two yards To avoid those seams has this been happening your entire career in arena football and is this normal?
• 5:55
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, the turf, you know, I can say this, it looks better this week, obviously, you know, that it was the week before, so you won't have to worry about it as much as we did until we were about last week, which is good.
• 6:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, honestly, the rolling out turf is not like a simple task.
• 6:13
[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to really make sure that it's, you know, Greece together, like I said, or they're like, he said, we got over there, we had to make sure, okay, hey.
• 6:19
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, because kickers in arena football are so important on field positioning and, you know, points on the board and, you know, it's only a fuel, okay, it's a 50 yard field.
• 6:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's a line of goal.
• 6:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I would feel to understand.
• 6:33
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you're not kicking on a regular field goal.
• 6:35
[SPEAKER_00]: You're kicking on a field goal that's, you know, eight, nine feet wide.
• 6:38
[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's, you know, the regular field goal is 24 feet.
• 6:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: So like,
• 6:43
[SPEAKER_00]: People don't realize it's a much smaller target, and it's tempting off the ground, the end zone is supposed to be eight yards back.
• 6:50
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not exactly the easiest thing to do, so yeah, I know the turf seems how to be put together, you have to look for this, you know, sometimes to play on turf that has, you know, like at like astro turf, which is what we played on.
• 7:02
[SPEAKER_00]: and you're playing on as well and then you can't wear cleats on those to sometimes that'll get you stuck and something like that.
• 7:08
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a lot of stuff that goes into it and yeah I've kind of so many different types of surfaces but for the most part in the arena football you won't have ashoturf and then you remember and that before I was like yeah you need to make sure like you know the clothing you wear under your gear and needs to be all solid one color you got your legs and
• 7:28
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot of information taking out one.
• 7:30
[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to make sure you knew all that stuff before the game because I also remember you kind of you kind of help it Um for the team and you can see no And we're trying to figure that out too.
• 7:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know the audience does about that.
• 7:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I do want to tell them about that because And then adjusting your chin strap a little darker before the game.
• 7:45
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh my god because you don't they don't tell you any of this before you get there They just assume that you know so there's just
• 7:53
[SPEAKER_05]: a room of black helmets and some of them were just recently spray painted and all that are the shits and they're like, hey, grab a helmet.
• 7:59
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, the problem is I've got a huge head and the line and grab, you know, the the biggest helmets first because they're the most important guys on the team and it goes for college in the NFL as well.
• 8:11
[SPEAKER_05]: Um, so by the time it got to me, I was wearing like a medium.
• 8:15
[SPEAKER_05]: My fucking head was so sore and the bar was here, so it was hard to see the ball.
• 8:21
[SPEAKER_00]: So I remember we tried to take the air out of it.
• 8:23
[SPEAKER_05]: We tried to take air out of it.
• 8:24
[SPEAKER_05]: We tried to do everything.
• 8:25
[SPEAKER_05]: So I pulled the helmet all the way down when I was doing kicks and got used to it.
• 8:30
[SPEAKER_05]: There was another kicker, Pablo.
• 8:32
[SPEAKER_05]: Did Pablo make the team?
• 8:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Pablo, um, you know, right now, they have me as a starting kicker for the tournament roster.
• 8:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and you were dubbed out.
• 8:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I was there too, as well as another kicker that we had.
• 8:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So actually when Ross came, there was myself and two other kickers there.
• 8:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, that were, it's right.
• 8:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they were working out with him, um, so, you know, when we saw Ross, uh, well, one Ross is talking to all of us and bigger than all of us, so, uh, which is kind of funny.
• 9:00
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm a fucking giant dude.
• 9:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's surprised about that in real life.
• 9:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Ross Pat Paterson, um, is Paterson.
• 9:07
[SPEAKER_00]: He is, he is, he's a big dude.
• 9:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's kind of hard to mistake him for me.
• 9:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and then the roster sheet had me listen at five foot, which really was like, oh, like add insults to injury.
• 9:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not five foot on five five, but yeah, we had don't goto, which is a, you know, he played 25.
• 9:23
[SPEAKER_00]: It's actually a bit of a baby this weekend too.
• 9:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: Is it really?
• 9:27
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay.
• 9:27
[SPEAKER_00]: That kid's a shout to Doug out for that one.
• 9:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: Then Pablo, he's a Spain.
• 9:31
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, it's like a band of characters that this little kicking group there we have.
• 9:36
[SPEAKER_00]: He's like 61, probably 160, you know, skinny, skinny guy, good leg, and then you have Ross.
• 9:42
[SPEAKER_00]: So all three of us are very different in size and it's just the look overall.
• 9:49
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, Pablo didn't have a chin trap.
• 9:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So he actually used my helmet when he was going to play in the fourth quarter because I was like probably you can't go out there and that Chishrape was like oh I'm good I'm like no you're not like the Spaniard in you is pissing me off with the helmet Chishrape.
• 10:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like I was a special teams coordinator with the special teams equipment with the special teams you know just like everybody knows what's going on because it's just so much at you.
• 10:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I think fans be right they don't know that like when you go in there you think okay I'm gonna have all the stuff ready I was like wait a minute let me make sure I talk to Ross.
• 10:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah
• 10:21
[SPEAKER_00]: you have this stuff down, that's stuff down because it's so fast, like how fast it is from the kickoff team.
• 10:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Like little things you don't think about, like your kickoff team.
• 10:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you need to use a kickoff team to kick off and you need to get it from the sidelines after your extra point.
• 10:35
[SPEAKER_00]: By the end, these are like these little things where I was like, okay, I'm going to toss it to you.
• 10:39
[SPEAKER_00]: After you kicked your extra points and all that good stuff, which by the way, your kickoff is pretty good, you know, they're dang it, you know.
• 10:45
[SPEAKER_00]: And so it was a kick she did on the field.
• 10:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, yeah, Pablo is still with us, but there's little nuanced things.
• 10:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Like you can't just from experience and time, like, you know.
• 10:56
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I was, I was shouting Pablo afterwards.
• 10:58
[SPEAKER_05]: And he goes, you know, he's Spanish and he was like, fuck, fuck this bar.
• 11:04
[SPEAKER_05]: I can't see that this fucking bar.
• 11:05
[SPEAKER_05]: And I was like, oh, he's talking about the face mask.
• 11:08
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and I go, yeah, man, I'm having problems with mine, too, and he goes, it's just, it's not going to have to wear the shits and whatever, and I was like, yeah, definitely not soccer, but like you, and like I've done, you know, 6,000 episodes of podcasting here, I could tell when I met you, you've done this for years, you're like a season veteran for this, how long have you personally played in Arena League?
• 11:38
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm playing so good question.
• 11:40
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm playing like when he's a deep by the way, you're Spanish impression of Pablo like the soccer part of the face mask.
• 11:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty pretty close.
• 11:49
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, no, I mean, I played at I grew up in Texas with the Plano West, right, and I started kicking footballs middle school going to eighth grade.
• 11:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: I was a quarterback.
• 11:58
[SPEAKER_00]: and kicker two, but I was on the beat team by the way, Ross, for quarterback and I was like happy and all this stuff being beat team quarterback, this first year of a play was eighth grade, and then they had kicking and punting day.
• 12:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Like the very last thing before we go and do our scrimmages, and so I put it in a ball and then the coach, like while we're doing our stretching lines he goes, you're on the 18 and I was like,
• 12:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but that was like, no, because that meant I was like the backup quarterback or third sugar something.
• 12:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So, um, then started out, I was the first game.
• 12:29
[SPEAKER_00]: So I got some reps.
• 12:30
[SPEAKER_00]: But after that, we moved forward.
• 12:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I was playing club soccer.
• 12:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I was always playing soccer as a soccer player, right?
• 12:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Did go with club soccer, got to be, you know, ODP and all those other things.
• 12:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, like, in North Texas soccer is king, right?
• 12:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So, it wasn't until like sophomore freshman year,
• 12:50
[SPEAKER_00]: 40 plus 50 plus to our field goals, you know, you got in training, man.
• 12:54
[SPEAKER_00]: You got to be dedicated to us.
• 12:56
[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to play no us.
• 12:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't mess up the extra point of field goal in two years.
• 13:00
[SPEAKER_00]: As a starting kicker on the varsity team.
• 13:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was like, it was pretty cool.
• 13:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Then I played at Texas Tech.
• 13:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Mike Leach was at Coach back then.
• 13:08
  [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, shit.
• 13:09
[SPEAKER_05]: How was Mike Leach in real life?
• 13:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's.
• 13:12
[SPEAKER_00]: oh man he's he's definitely one of the most like inspiring interesting smartest most like you know he wasn't rest of soul um he's a good dude he's a good dude really good to guy I mean I got a search for days about him I mean he's but he's definitely you can tell the man's intelligent you know he's smart I mean he was also attorney he went to Pepperdine law like he you know
• 13:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Aaron often's I mean the two put together was fantastic everywhere he went, you know, and then I transferred to SMU and I took a couple of years off kicking and then I ended up kicking again on my senior year at SMU and that was under June Jones another like offensive legend and our special troops coaches Frank games junior for the like Frank games and then after that like, you know, my masters, you know,
• 14:00
[SPEAKER_00]: when coach I was involved in soccer a lot and then I didn't return actually to arena ball I was talking about this until 2020 I believe for actually you know kid cuz so why not and then I got to keep it like two-star share skulls the Frisco fighters you know um which style regulars which is the AFL and then uh Cobra's Chrissy Trians and AF so I literally became like
• 14:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I knew I could still kick kind of like you did you know like you like oh I can still do it Yeah, but I'm just trying to get back of all but when the chance like battle out guys You know, people don't know this, but if you guys go to NAL and the law that really you have really good talented players that either are trying to go to league or have been at the league or
• 14:47
[SPEAKER_00]: you know, go to CFL or overseas and something like that.
• 14:49
[SPEAKER_00]: So you'll see some really talented players play.
• 14:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's definitely one of the things where, I mean, I mean, I'm fortunate enough to play for two big D1 schools, you know, and so you get some confidence from that and some, you know, things like that, but when you're playing, you know, there might be some guys who didn't play big time D1 schools, but they're just as good, you know, and they're field positions and something
• 15:17
[SPEAKER_05]: the show and the page tree else they got I mean how out of control was that game I will start with this I mean first of all the jersey thing was hilarious and where you the starting kicker last year is that why they kept saying your name
• 15:32
[SPEAKER_00]: No, so, like, I was told that, like, hey, you know, be ready to go and obviously, you know, I met the day before and, you know, we hit it off well.
• 15:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't get stuff.
• 15:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I think what they did is they on the flip carter on their flip, on the, I think what they would submit for the roster.
• 15:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess they submitted me because I was a starting kicker for the team and then they started saying, I watched the replay that came back.
• 15:56
[SPEAKER_00]: What do you want on the field?
• 15:57
[SPEAKER_00]: They go, Brad Nambed our up with the extra point.
• 15:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, no, that's not me.
• 16:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, is whatever, like, you know, they said again on the kicks, and then by the time, and this is the perfect phase everyone to know, Pablo Kates, which was in the fourth quarter, you know, that's what the announcer said, I don't think the kicker is the same person.
• 16:19
[SPEAKER_05]: But I have a watch to replay at all, and at that point, the mercy rule had kicked in.
• 16:25
[SPEAKER_05]: We couldn't kick extra points or feel goes or anything, and we were up by
• 16:30
[SPEAKER_05]: Let's say 55 at halftime and then the final score was 101 to 0 and then they wanted to try out some of the new kickoffs in the fourth because you guys have to actually play the rest of the season and you know I was only coming in for one game possibly two which is going to happen tomorrow night and so I understood what was going on.
• 16:51
[SPEAKER_05]: I did not know about the mercy rule.
• 16:53
  [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't know neither did I.
• 16:56
[SPEAKER_05]: because it do we set the record a lot of people are saying I saw a thing that we set the record and it's the highest score of all time So Okay, yeah, I saw like again, I told you like what we spoke on the phone.
• 17:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like my head been buried in the sand this last week because of our Women's soccer program and all the other stuff, but I saw the 101 score line apparently Maybe for the men's league.
• 17:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's the
• 17:19
[SPEAKER_00]: biggest score differential between opponent, but you know, it's an exhibition right preseason, you know, game.
• 17:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So, but I think it is a record.
• 17:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I do think for whatever it is a record.
• 17:28
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think there was a woman's team that was higher, but yeah, this was it.
• 17:35
[SPEAKER_05]: And when you're out there and you're seeing it,
• 17:37
  [SPEAKER_05]: You're like shit man.
• 17:38
[SPEAKER_05]: The mercy rule doesn't make any sense here because when you're trashing somebody that bad Go on for two is actually piling it on and get an even more points and things start to get real fucking shippy Yeah, you know the sign lines once you said that and they knocked it over the boards.
• 17:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I was actually Thanks, you're so much the bad.
• 17:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was just great
• 17:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they get into it and, um, yeah, I mean, it was just super chippy in that third quarter on, like, but, um, to, to you apparently said like, um, it was just, it's just that both teams want to play it as physical, but, um, yeah, by the time that you probably went and kicked out the fourth quarter and the answer was like, I don't think.
• 18:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Number 55, for our name on the same kicker.
• 18:26
[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, I'm surprised, like even after you did the kick, and I was kicking, I mean, you know, I was like, did they not know?
• 18:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and that was, I was looking worried about it.
• 18:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, did they not know that's Ross kick kick, and then not me, and I was like, oh, man,
• 18:42
[SPEAKER_00]: you know that the spirally affected code.
• 18:45
[SPEAKER_05]: It was it looked for our audience it's pure gold and comedy and all there's shit.
• 18:50
[SPEAKER_05]: But what I found out yesterday and a meeting yesterday was the announcers got replaced.
• 18:57
[SPEAKER_05]: Five minutes before the game.
• 19:00
[SPEAKER_05]: So What day were the ones who were like, hey, we actually don't know any of these people and we're just gonna say these names off the card Which is fucking hilarious Yeah, so Some people that slayer is but Others I was like
• 19:16
[SPEAKER_00]: because I did get a couple messages this week.
• 19:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't get a few messages about, uh, you know, saying, hey, did you have a gross fruit?
• 19:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't do that.
• 19:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, man, I wish I did.
• 19:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'll take a couple of interests of Ross and I'll take a couple of interests from Paolo with the give me the five nine or whatever, but no, I did have a few messages online and stuff like that.
• 19:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, okay, cool.
• 19:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Some people are watching the game, I guess, you know.
• 19:40
[SPEAKER_05]: Somebody in the chat here is saying one of them four ends to say Namedar should go his Ross Patterson tomorrow and we should just switch jerseys and then kick for the other teams That's really fucking funny by the way.
• 19:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that's not a bad idea.
• 19:54
[SPEAKER_00]: They're like Yeah, I think I think we can assist to see for a little bit for the Reynolds you kicking at this time
• 20:02
[SPEAKER_05]: oh god it'll be hilarious so uh right now let's turn to the odds real quick before ask you about the rest of your life uh bob bring up my bookie dot com obviously promo code drinking rose doubles that first deposit all the way up to a thousand dollars and you can bet on this game tomorrow night's i will be starting for colorado uh and then we're playing my former team the Dallas bulls so i will be going against the famous
• 20:30
[SPEAKER_05]: What do we got for those odds?
• 20:33
[SPEAKER_05]: What do you think, by the way, before Bob pulls these up, Brad?
• 20:38
[SPEAKER_05]: Is you think Dallas will be favored or you think Colorado is going to be favored?
• 20:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that I've done my due diligence, Ross.
• 20:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think I think a Colorado, maybe favorite, but I have a more poor question.
• 20:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Who do you think will kick a field of all first?
• 20:50
  [SPEAKER_05]: Do you or me?
• 20:51
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, man, I hope my booky puts that bad up there.
• 20:53
[SPEAKER_05]: I really do, I mean, shit, dude.
• 20:58
[SPEAKER_05]: What do we got here for tomorrow?
• 21:00
[SPEAKER_05]: Go down to football, USA, and then arena league, there it is.
• 21:03
  [SPEAKER_05]: There it is.
• 21:06
[SPEAKER_04]: All right, we don't have, we don't have a spread.
• 21:10
[SPEAKER_04]: However, Colorado has favored in the money line minus 340, the bulls are plus 190.
• 21:16
  [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, Lee shit.
• 21:17
[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so bulls, if you bet on the bulls, it's two to one.
• 21:19
[SPEAKER_05]: So you're gonna double your money and then damn, I'm at minus four to one.
• 21:24
[SPEAKER_05]: Shit, they really think we're gonna win, Brad.
• 21:28
  [SPEAKER_05]: What's, here's why I'm shocked by that, I guess.
• 21:31
[SPEAKER_05]: And look, my bookie does her homework.
• 21:33
  [SPEAKER_05]: for sure.
• 21:33
[SPEAKER_05]: Like all of these gambling sites and all that shit really gets into it and they watch the footage after the game and all that other stuff like you and I were chatting about.
• 21:44
[SPEAKER_05]: What am I missing because Denver lost last week?
• 21:47
  [SPEAKER_05]: Granted, yes, I'm great.
• 21:48
[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm a difference maker and a game changer and maybe that's it.
• 21:52
[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe this trade was the one that swung the odds
• 21:59
[SPEAKER_05]: uh... this Denver team and then when you guys had practiced this week um... you know obviously packed in lynches the quarterback uh... former first round pick he was starting quarterback of the democrat goes last year i believe one of the linemen was on the sea out of c-hawks as well on this team yeah so uh... what does vagus know that we don't know here i mean i was kind of surprised by these odds
• 22:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, to be honest with you, I mean, you just have some big names, you know, packs of lunch, I think that's a poor and I think like, you know, I don't set the odds.
• 22:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know too much about.
• 22:33
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the team other than they're good.
• 22:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: They're good team.
• 22:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, uh, so we'll see.
• 22:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you, you shift it over.
• 22:39
[SPEAKER_00]: You might, you know, tilt the scale for to be their favorite 100%.
• 22:43
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, because by the way, that is part of it.
• 22:45
[SPEAKER_05]: So whatever money comes in, actually does influence the odds.
• 22:50
[SPEAKER_05]: So whether or not, you know, the right team is going to win.
• 22:53
  [SPEAKER_05]: It's going to win.
• 22:53
[SPEAKER_05]: And this happens to me, uh, let's see, not this last national championship, the one before the Ohio State versus Notre Dame.
• 23:01
  [SPEAKER_05]: There was a two-point
• 23:03
[SPEAKER_05]: We're just like what the fuck and it was all Notre Dame fans flood in the markets thinking they were going to win the national championship, which they did, obviously So maybe that's part of it But you know, I look at these big names and I say, okay This is great and it's obviously exciting and it's a fun story for my kids and you know all the listeners and everybody watching at home
• 23:27
[SPEAKER_05]: It's such a nuanced game and the rules are so different than the NFL and the field of small and it's more violent and all that of their stuff.
• 23:35
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know how you favor this to be honest with you because NFL fields, yes, those guys are great, but there's so much bigger, there's so much wider if you get so much more space.
• 23:47
[SPEAKER_05]: But this game is faster, quicker, and the receivers are allowed to move and go in motion.
• 23:53
[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm kind of stunned by that.
• 23:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: Those are.
• 23:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that like obviously so like we told everyone, let's say it's like a 50-year-old long field on Ash of Term, it's supposed to be 24-years wide and NFL field is 100 by 55-year-olds wide.
• 24:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: So it's a lot smaller space.
• 24:08
[SPEAKER_00]: You do have walls, you know, so I think that, you know,
• 24:13
[SPEAKER_00]: a car was a good team and you know they have that you have packs of lunch and a lot of the players that are good so I think that I mean, I don't know how big it's does their odds is set to up.
• 24:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I think if Vegas was you know they some good bets could be you know who's going to kick a ball at a bounce on a kickoff first you're me.
• 24:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's good.
• 24:30
[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't kick went out of bounce last week so we're good.
• 24:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Actually for everyone that you know that was watching let me tell you Ross did really good kickoffs because
• 24:39
[SPEAKER_00]: like when you like if you kick it out of bounds or even hit the wall right first and for the face of those it's a penalty.
• 24:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: So for a kicker.
• 24:46
[SPEAKER_00]: So even if you kick it like through the end zones, and it goes out about, that's a penalty, you know?
• 24:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So when you put in the corners, like right on the corner, right for it to turn like roster, it actually pins the returners, you know, to a harder area.
• 25:01
[SPEAKER_00]: So he did kick off and put him in the difficult position.
• 25:04
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's a really technical kick, that he pulled off, you know, two times in a row.
• 25:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So part of the whole like thing of with a arena ball is like field position is even more critical.
• 25:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, in situations so like you've got to be able to control the return team, you know, and where they start with the ball.
• 25:23
[SPEAKER_05]: So, um, and that one guy I kicked it to like a, it's essentially a coffin corner for a punner.
• 25:29
[SPEAKER_05]: It's what I call it, but um,
• 25:30
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I cough in quarter on the two, uh, he coughed up the ball and then we got the ball on the one and then we score to the next play and that the coach for the other team who had watched the tape was like hey dude The way you were dropping those was that on purpose and I said yes, but it was because the notes you gave me in the Friday night practice where you were like hey, here's the key to arena you can't just blast it through the fucking end zone
• 25:53
[SPEAKER_05]: Um, you know, because it would be a penalty and all that other stuff.
• 25:57
[SPEAKER_05]: So you were very helpful in that and let's you get it through the field, no upgrades.
• 26:01
  [SPEAKER_05]: Right.
• 26:02
[SPEAKER_00]: But that it's hard because you have to look at the ceiling, you know, too small.
• 26:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the ceiling is too low and you get under the ball.
• 26:10
[SPEAKER_00]: You may hit the surface.
• 26:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's a penalty too.
• 26:12
[SPEAKER_00]: and different arenas are different like the scoreboard may be lower and or you might have speakers of the way so you may have the like to get it there but there's just you know traffic in the way and if you hit it's a penalty and so yeah no but yours tactically were very good kickoffs for sure
• 26:30
[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you and speaking of which there is another kicker for Denver who they're only going to bring in and the first and the third to do kickoff's only and to go for Dooses it's called a doos when you get it through the up lights Now they haven't played that arena side.
• 26:45
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think it's possible, but you know, they'll be a shot at it Just know that I'm wearing number 23 tomorrow nights, and then we'll talk to the announcers before that, but some
• 26:54
[SPEAKER_05]: Obviously, he's going to take over the rest of the year.
• 26:56
[SPEAKER_05]: I promise you, this is my last game of the year.
• 26:59
[SPEAKER_05]: It's a blast, and I can see why you do it on a week's week basis, it's adapting.
• 27:04
[SPEAKER_05]: When you get out there and you're finally hitting somebody and you're in meaningful competition and everybody fucking cares.
• 27:11
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, you want to do it week after week after week after.
• 27:14
  [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it's it's really fucking fun.
• 27:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, like so I, you know, honestly with so one reason why I came back this year to kick again, um, was like so, you know, all right, she owns a professional woman's indoor soccer team.
• 27:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I told you about, you know, the game and stuff.
• 27:31
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, tell everybody the name of it.
• 27:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, called Texas Lone Star SE Saw Her Club.
• 27:35
[SPEAKER_00]: We're located in Dallas, so there's an indoor team that she has, right, that has an absolutely phenomenal this year.
• 27:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Seven months three losses.
• 27:43
[SPEAKER_00]: We've got our first year as a franchise and, you know, we did very good and we qualified for playoffs and Detroit, which is next weekend.
• 27:52
[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, we've got take girls to, you know, Detroit and we have also our team ranging from 19 to 36 years old, like a wide range age group, right?
• 28:00
[SPEAKER_00]: So, and then we're going to be doing outdoor season, and it's going to be for me through July, but one reason why I decided to try again, this year was honest to God, so I didn't know this, but you know, you'd learn throughout, you know, your coaching or what have you, and sports is like, what made our 65 to 75% more likely to have ACL injuries than men are, and I hadn't, you know, fully aware of that.
• 28:22
[SPEAKER_00]: So we had a player that got injured in the beginning of the year and then another one.
• 28:26
[SPEAKER_00]: And I kind of was like, you know what, I want to show like you can still come back from these injuries because they can, right?
• 28:32
[SPEAKER_00]: You have to PT at the rehab and all this stuff.
• 28:35
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, went out to the bulls, you know, trading camp and ended up making the team again side.
• 28:41
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I, and I was out for two years almost from an injury for the last time played.
• 28:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: So
• 28:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of wanted to, you know, this goes the inspired me to try to, you know, see if I can still do after the injury.
• 28:53
[SPEAKER_00]: And also, you know, to show them like, you know, pop impossible to nothing if you did a kitchen time and energy to it, you know, you, you can come back.
• 29:00
[SPEAKER_00]: So that was a big motivating factor for me coming back this season as well, too.
• 29:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, you know what, yeah, let's see, you know, I can still kick a ball.
• 29:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I can, you know, get after it as well, and, and that was a big motivating factor for it.
• 29:13
[SPEAKER_00]: But you want to, you want to talk about training camp, but yeah.
• 29:17
[SPEAKER_05]: fire away i mean look this was not and i felt bad because i was watching on social media and then obviously you're not with the team i'm gonna i'm doing this show every day and i'm traveling and and obviously hardy of shelters exploding and it's everywhere
• 29:30
[SPEAKER_05]: So I couldn't come to the training.
• 29:33
[SPEAKER_05]: However, I was told there was no field goals there.
• 29:36
[SPEAKER_05]: You guys were kicking essentially toward a spooky tree that was kind of in the end zone.
• 29:42
[SPEAKER_05]: And then I heard a rumor you can confirm this or deny this.
• 29:46
[SPEAKER_05]: That you guys were practicing directly next to a women's prison.
• 29:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: Let's press.
• 29:53
  [SPEAKER_00]: Shut the fuck up.
• 29:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Is that true?
• 29:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: So, okay.
• 29:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, yeah, it's true.
• 30:00
[SPEAKER_05]: Um, did you see the women were they screaming at you?
• 30:04
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's it was tight lockdown like a max of people's facility like, um, Jesus Christ.
• 30:10
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a four worth Texas.
• 30:11
[SPEAKER_00]: So it was a solid like, you know, hour from my house, our 15 minutes for a house.
• 30:16
[SPEAKER_00]: So like, you go and you drive up and it was, you know, on shout out to, you know, the people who allowed us to be there, the YMCA, they're awesome.
• 30:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: And you go,
• 30:24
[SPEAKER_00]: and you drive it's a gated facility and you're like, okay, so it's like a big of cabins and bugs is like a, it's pretty nature, you know, it's a great place for like, I guess, like corporate team bonding or exercise and development, so we're that.
• 30:38
[SPEAKER_00]: So we go there, but I drove in Saturday morning of like six in the morning.
• 30:44
[SPEAKER_00]: And like, it's still so dark.
• 30:46
[SPEAKER_00]: So I couldn't tell what was next to me on the slide, which is over-argent building.
• 30:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't see the barbed wire fences or any of that until it got light, but we left for lunch.
• 30:55
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, huh, and then I found out, I think it was the women's better old penitentiary.
• 30:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: And so
• 31:00
[SPEAKER_00]: yeah there's nobody walking the yard there was nothing like that like it but it was a saw it was a real prison next to this YMCA that we're having a training camp and so the um you know when you're a kicker you have to be adaptable like now every so there was a I mean I was like it's from a Tim Burton movie like a sleepy hollow tree uh huh
• 31:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Pablo was there so I was dug out of and myself and you know we're trying to get our reps in on something so I was like yo let's go to this tree that you know and look at these like two like branches like this and it was like tiny and so it's like let's just like kicks and feels all this tree and then they had these like little on the field like these still like chickens with these they had stab you and they would get stuck to the balls
• 31:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So he did kick off the camp.
• 31:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, God.
• 31:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, exactly.
• 31:48
[SPEAKER_00]: So when you throw the ball stage, I'll be like, ow, and then we, the last day, we found this little orchard area that was like nice.
• 31:54
[SPEAKER_00]: These, there was goats on our field, which is kind of funny.
• 31:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Shut the fuck up, real goats, real goats, like legit goats.
• 32:01
[SPEAKER_00]: They were nice, even though they didn't take an acorn for an air, whatever, walnut, it would try to feed them.
• 32:06
[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, they were on the field a couple times.
• 32:09
  [SPEAKER_00]: They were polite.
• 32:09
  [SPEAKER_00]: They were in aggressive.
• 32:10
[SPEAKER_00]: But we found a little area that there's none of those little spiky chitters or whatever that they're on the ball.
• 32:15
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's the last day of camp.
• 32:17
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it was, it was a grinding like 12 hours a day.
• 32:20
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, yeah, because Coach Prime isn't tense.
• 32:22
[SPEAKER_05]: The coach of the Dallas Bulls, which I loved, like, when you get there, you wonder how seriously people take it.
• 32:28
[SPEAKER_05]: Then you're like, oh, shit.
• 32:30
  [SPEAKER_05]: This is.
• 32:31
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it, because not only was it shipping on the field, but you got shipping on the sidelines amongst other players.
• 32:36
[SPEAKER_05]: And one of the starts, and that was kind of the cut point there.
• 32:40
[SPEAKER_05]: to see if you were going to make the team and all that other shit, and I love love to see a documentary on this, like, kind of like a hard knocks for a really good football, because you truly have to want to do this, and you have to dedicate a lot of your time and the money ain't great.
• 33:00
[SPEAKER_05]: So, you know, we saw, I think, was Cody the team captain, because we saw him go
• 33:09
[SPEAKER_05]: and he got his fucking leg blown up there and the ambulance came in and all that other stuff.
• 33:15
[SPEAKER_05]: And that's the thing, it's like, dude, for not a lot of money, him and I had shattered on Friday night, his dream, because the Colorado game was coming up, he goes, dude, my dream is to just get a sack of against packs and linch, so I can... Oh wow, I didn't know that he said, oh wow.
• 33:31
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and he goes, man, that would be fucking amazing.
• 33:34
[SPEAKER_05]: It'd be something to tell my kids.
• 33:35
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a nice guy too, by the way.
• 33:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he benches close to 500 pounds, like he's a mammoth of a dude.
• 33:45
[SPEAKER_05]: He reminds me of my coasts in the NFL, she'll direct wolf.
• 33:48
[SPEAKER_05]: They brought the cut from the same cloth those guys.
• 33:52
[SPEAKER_00]: And I didn't know about that, but yeah, I mean, that's the sad part of the game, you know, is the injuries of stuff, like, especially when you see such a good guy.
• 33:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'll get injured.
• 34:01
[SPEAKER_00]: But no, he's, he puts up 500 pounds almost to the bench and he's talking, but like, you're about the dedication to some, like, you're right, like, you have to want to play.
• 34:11
[SPEAKER_00]: But also, you know, I have said this too because of my other sports backgrounds, I've had, there's never a shortage of players, you know, out there.
• 34:19
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's the other part.
• 34:21
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the competition and the next plenty of mentality, but yeah coach prime, you know, I just like you I bet him recently.
• 34:29
[SPEAKER_00]: He's definitely an intense coach, but I'll say intense though right way.
• 34:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, you know, he wants to win.
• 34:37
  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a player's coach, you know, who
• 34:40
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, because it's towards the players and all that stuff.
• 34:43
[SPEAKER_00]: So, and definitely, as a pedigree of winning, especially the Dallas football market, I guess, you could say in the different levels they have here.
• 34:53
[SPEAKER_00]: But like, back when I think, you know, I definitely went out as younger and I'm sure when you're younger, there wasn't this many leagues, like there's so many more leagues now, like, of people to try to apply, but, you know,
• 35:06
[SPEAKER_00]: the you know the arena leaves they've done a good job I think I'm trying to consolidate good talent you know with an ownership room simply put it like a good product on the field like Colorado I mean you said the quarterback like yeah the quarterback you know so obviously that gives legitimacy to the league as well you got alignment for the sea hogs you get all that stuff and then you know having the advantage of played for Dallas last week with you guys the Dallas team is is fucking lights out number three is fucking lights out the quarterback
• 35:35
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, both guys can really fucking zip the ball in there and I was stunned, man.
• 35:41
[SPEAKER_05]: It just the fast, how fast pace the game is versus when I play it.
• 35:46
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, dude, it's a, it's a lot to get adjusted to in one game.
• 35:52
[SPEAKER_05]: What year is this for you as far as a renaly goes?
• 35:57
  [SPEAKER_05]: Two, two.
• 35:58
  [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
• 35:59
  [SPEAKER_05]: Gotcha.
• 35:59
[SPEAKER_05]: And you never played before or was it because of the injury?
• 36:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I played the in 2024, but I got to, I'm like you, you know, you when you're good, you get to go and teams will watch you.
• 36:11
[SPEAKER_00]: So like when I went in, I played for the Frisco fighters.
• 36:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I did well enough there.
• 36:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: They were AFL.
• 36:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I got an opportunity to kick in the AFL, which is another notoriously for which to talk.
• 36:22
[SPEAKER_00]: And after there, I was called by the Corpus Christi Tritons, they played the AIF, they called me like, they had national championship game.
• 36:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: So they, oh shit.
• 36:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like it was, I was warming up for a game and they called myself like, hey, we have a national championship game next week.
• 36:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to play in it?
• 36:41
[SPEAKER_00]: We've seen your film, we've heard about you and I said, okay, sure, that went down there.
• 36:45
[SPEAKER_00]: And Corpus Christ is pretty nice people, you know, if you haven't been that, now there's pretty cool, and it's a nice area, and we have to go to Georgia to play the national championship game.
• 36:57
[SPEAKER_00]: So I was there for that game.
• 36:58
[SPEAKER_05]: Was it the Columbus Lions?
• 37:00
[SPEAKER_00]: It was the Columbus Lions.
• 37:01
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, we sponsored that for hard day of self-series.
• 37:04
[SPEAKER_05]: I actually did the coin toss and the the ball at that game with Tim Hudson, one of my favorite players from the Braves.
• 37:11
[SPEAKER_05]: He's from Columbus, you started in that game.
• 37:14
  [SPEAKER_05]: Columbus won the game.
• 37:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they won the game.
• 37:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I started that game, I played that game.
• 37:19
[SPEAKER_05]: Holy shit, see where they're at the same, that's, that's what I got involved with all this.
• 37:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Hang on, everyone just show it to you.
• 37:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I know I'm coming off straight to work quick, but... Like, here you go.
• 37:29
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, wait, I'll hold it back a little bit because you got the, uh, uh, the green screen effect on your on your own.
• 37:36
[SPEAKER_00]: That's don't make any rumors on this stuff.
• 37:38
[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't deep state stuff.
• 37:39
[SPEAKER_00]: But that was my jersey.
• 37:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I was trying to show you all.
• 37:42
  [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, there it is.
• 37:43
  [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
• 37:44
[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, hold it back a tad.
• 37:47
[SPEAKER_05]: What do you think, uh, Interout, right?
• 37:49
[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's just because it's it's the same color.
• 37:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it's the same color.
• 37:52
  [SPEAKER_03]: Your background.
• 37:53
  [SPEAKER_03]: I got it.
• 37:53
  [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, there you go.
• 37:54
  [SPEAKER_03]: That's perfect.
• 37:55
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
• 37:55
[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm going to get my shadow box.
• 37:57
[SPEAKER_05]: Two after the games over.
• 37:59
  [SPEAKER_05]: I love that.
• 38:01
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 38:01
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you were there.
• 38:02
  [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you were there.
• 38:03
[SPEAKER_05]: I did the the trophy presentation afterwards.
• 38:07
  [SPEAKER_05]: The MVP.
• 38:08
[SPEAKER_05]: I gave out the trophy and then we had Hardy of Seltzer in coolers and all that stuff in the locker room.
• 38:13
[SPEAKER_05]: So those guys were getting fucked up afterwards, but that's where I got hooked.
• 38:17
[SPEAKER_05]: So I was sitting at one of those tables and the commissioner come over and he goes, what do you think of this?
• 38:23
[SPEAKER_05]: I actually got fucking hit.
• 38:26
[SPEAKER_05]: in the game and got like a golf ball size welds on my arm and it was on the corner correct yep yep and it was on a interception return and it was hilarious we were we were filming that day too so we're doing a live show on the field beforehand
• 38:43
[SPEAKER_05]: And then afterwards, and I was like, man, this is really fucking fun if people actually came out to this and saw how crazy it was and wild and the fact that you can take your kids and then take them down to the field and meet the players and get autographs afterwards and like
• 38:58
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, literally just run throw passes and all that other shit.
• 39:01
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, my kids played on the field for like an hour and a half afterwards.
• 39:05
[SPEAKER_05]: Last Saturday, it was a blast.
• 39:07
[SPEAKER_05]: And once you're in it and you understand what it is, you kind of want to keep going back.
• 39:13
[SPEAKER_05]: So, you know, my job is to bring some eyeballs to the league.
• 39:17
[SPEAKER_05]: And obviously, I'm living out my childhood fantasy where I'm like, great.
• 39:22
[SPEAKER_05]: I wonder what would happen and things went well last week.
• 39:26
[SPEAKER_05]: Hopefully things will go well this week, but what's your end goal?
• 39:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, so just full disclosure for your fans and everybody listening.
• 39:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Ross was very focused, you know, he was locked in.
• 39:39
  [SPEAKER_05]: I take everything seriously.
• 39:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it was it was cool to see.
• 39:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, what you guys like, yeah, understand with Ross is like, I could tell he was very focused locked in and it makes me like, you know, like, you know, because fan of yours as well, because you know, you locked in your focus and at the end of the day, like,
• 39:57
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he can kick guys.
• 39:58
[SPEAKER_00]: He's not, he can kick.
• 40:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, um, so respect goes on to you for that.
• 40:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I promise you, these teams don't just take random people to just, even if your job is to promote, you know, if you suck, like they're not going to want to do it.
• 40:15
[SPEAKER_05]: No, they're gonna pull you they're gonna pull you out of there.
• 40:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're gonna pull you out So it's actually play Colorado against Dallas like that's you know get a prop Steve, but I mean my end goal is is just kind of like what you said It's like let me out, you know you're you're dreaming all that good stuff which is great for me It's to you know play and also you know when I'm kids soon I'm gonna say hey, you know, I was injured, but I came back and I played to and also you know for the you know the the
• 40:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, after an injury, but also to just, you know, enjoy the game, because I mean, like you said it's a lot of fun and if there's like, you know, physical activity, it's, you know, like being an athlete on my life and then being a coach or something like that, like you miss this, I think all of us do it like intrinsically, miss like this level of competition, right?
• 41:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, the more you do and like the more success you have the more, the higher levels you've been, right?
• 41:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there's this adrenaline rush that you get.
• 41:10
[SPEAKER_00]: when you play that, you kind of miss, right?
• 41:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, but there's also a nerve factor too, which is like, oh wait, you know, am I really doing this right now?
• 41:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm out of the field that, you know, all that stuff too, which is kind of a, a good feeling, but just like, you did that for your first kick, right?
• 41:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, okay, yeah, I got this.
• 41:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: I, I know what I'm doing.
• 41:29
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, this is like, you know, a method and stuff like that.
• 41:33
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, my goal is just to join.
• 41:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have a goal at the end of the day.
• 41:39
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, yeah, the reason I ask is let's take Jason Myers for the Seattle Seahawks kick five field goes in the Super Bowl he was in the arena league and you wonder because look it's eight feet wide nine feet wide and then you have NFL's 18
• 41:55
[SPEAKER_05]: which feels like you're kicking into an ocean.
• 41:57
  [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, that's amazing.
• 41:59
[SPEAKER_05]: You wonder though, like, all right, there's gotta be a lot of guys who are gonna get a shot after the season's over at training camp for the NFL.
• 42:09
[SPEAKER_05]: So I understand it, man.
• 42:12
[SPEAKER_00]: The kickoff rule is something that like when the NFL changed the rules to kickoffs, right?
• 42:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I was, well, one key, one thing I was like, lowkey pissed because I was like, why didn't they do this?
• 42:23
[SPEAKER_00]: When I graduated from SMU because like, because I'm a technical kicker, right?
• 42:28
[SPEAKER_00]: So like, so for the audience to say at home, like, I don't just do like deep kickoffs because that's that's one kick, right?
• 42:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and Ross, and the other kickers we were all practicing stuff, there's other like technical kickoffs you can do, where like, I mean, you could try to spiral it sideways and get difficult bounds.
• 42:45
[SPEAKER_00]: So you could try to, you know, do mortals, you could, there's a lot of different types of kicks, and that's always what I was good at.
• 42:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't have the biggest leg in the world.
• 42:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't, you know, vomit down 85 yards and all this other stuff, but, you know, it was really technical.
• 42:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So the arena game, I was like,
• 43:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, that's 50 yards, you know, that's doable to go online.
• 43:05
[SPEAKER_00]: But when I thought, oh, I can do a swim and we get a ball back or bounce off the ground.
• 43:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: And it's a lot of ball.
• 43:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's go get it.
• 43:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, fell in love with that immediately.
• 43:15
[SPEAKER_00]: So when I saw that NFL change it, that was like, you know what?
• 43:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right, maybe some kickers can get a look, you know, because of how they do it with the new NFL rules and change, but it's definitely where you never know, you know, NFL teams will bring people up to like, you know, give their kickers a break, right, or, you know, just to have some competition, things like that.
• 43:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So you never know, but there's some really good arena kickers that I'm friends with, um, that had either play to the league or, you know,
• 43:43
[SPEAKER_00]: We're called the camps and stuff so you still have a good pedigree in the N.A.L.
• 43:47
[SPEAKER_00]: and all the other, you know, arena leagues as well as kingers.
• 43:50
[SPEAKER_05]: What, what are some of the craziest stories you've encountered over the last couple years?
• 43:56
[SPEAKER_05]: Our game was fucking nuts, dude.
• 43:57
  [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, we...
• 44:00
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, like the, we didn't have water at a certain point, somebody brought jars of pickles over there.
• 44:06
[SPEAKER_05]: I was asking us to do anything.
• 44:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I heard about pickles, and I probably was eating one.
• 44:10
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, bro, you're eating a pickle right now.
• 44:11
[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, yeah, but yeah.
• 44:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that was like all right.
• 44:15
[SPEAKER_00]: But I would say some of the crazy stories, man, there's a, there's a lot.
• 44:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me think, crazy stories.
• 44:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean,
• 44:26
[SPEAKER_00]: For example, there was a guy in Ross Patterson and he came and go, okay, I remember during warmups, like, we had your helmet and then he guys, he's right.
• 44:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: It didn't.
• 44:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you got a big head.
• 44:43
[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about that one too.
• 44:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I think you had a large honestly, but it was, and then we noticed I was like, maybe we could take the air out, right?
• 44:51
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I remember Coach Andrew was taking the air out in the right before the game.
• 44:54
[SPEAKER_00]: But then also like I was like man what like there's there's a couple of kicks of world Ross told me like he missed I was like what were you okay you know I can't see Brad I was like what I can't see and we try to adjust to your chin straps because we just have a little locker room and one of the craziest things I'd say
• 45:13
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not necessarily moments, it's a lot.
• 45:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't want to get people in trouble.
• 45:17
[SPEAKER_05]: How about the 12-year-old kid for Team Mexico who pulled the fire alarm?
• 45:21
  [SPEAKER_05]: Because he's dead.
• 45:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
• 45:22
[SPEAKER_00]: So, okay, I don't know what happened with the fire alarm, but after a kickoff that did, I remember the fire alarm went off.
• 45:31
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was standing next to Ross, and I was like,
• 45:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, is this happening right now?
• 45:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And so some of the fans were leaving.
• 45:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And then it gets, guys, like the Rima has like lights that are flashing.
• 45:44
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, and then it goes, you know, alert, alert, a fire.
• 45:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 45:47
[SPEAKER_00]: On Morty has been detected or something like that.
• 45:49
[SPEAKER_00]: And like, please exit the arena and the sheriff got on the field.
• 45:53
[SPEAKER_05]: He told people in the police stadium.
• 45:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: Go back down, lie.
• 45:58
[SPEAKER_05]: It was 48 to zero.
• 46:00
[SPEAKER_05]: And yeah, we heard one of those little Mexican kids went over and just pulled the fire alarm to get his dad off the field.
• 46:06
  [SPEAKER_05]: Which I respect.
• 46:07
  [SPEAKER_05]: I love that.
• 46:08
  [SPEAKER_05]: I think it's a genius movie.
• 46:09
  [SPEAKER_05]: Is that what happens?
• 46:10
[SPEAKER_05]: And then the sheriff came down and said, Hey, guys, there's no fire.
• 46:13
[SPEAKER_05]: There's no nothing and we're good, but I mean, I was like, man, if this goes on on a week to week basis, holy shit, how do you like I guess how do you maintain your focus because even that was like a 15 minute delay.
• 46:27
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, easy, and the injury, like, too, you know, that was because there was no trainers.
• 46:32
[SPEAKER_05]: It's not like the NFL, man.
• 46:34
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, he had to go sit on the sideline.
• 46:37
  [SPEAKER_05]: There wasn't a trainer.
• 46:38
[SPEAKER_05]: And then they had to wait for the ambulance to come.
• 46:40
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the ambulance.
• 46:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 46:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, how do you maintain and focus?
• 46:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the other thing that people don't know about, like so.
• 46:47
[SPEAKER_00]: The football stick those guys are the kicking stick their friends of mine They make this stick me like kick the ball cuz we didn't have a net on the sidelines to stay warm You know, I think people understand as well like kicking you have to like kind of elucia or else if your legs are tightened heavy Like you're not gonna kick well, so you have to say loose, but as far as keeping your focus I think that just cope with like confidence and experience to just be like, okay I know what I'm doing when I'm going out there, but I mean obviously distractions happen like you'll get shook if you see injury or like the fire alarm
• 47:17
[SPEAKER_00]: And we were telling fans not to leave.
• 47:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Then we got the fans to come back in.
• 47:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how they figured it out to turn it off.
• 47:23
[SPEAKER_00]: But that one, I was just like, really, like, everyone's leaving right now.
• 47:28
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, oh, man, the broadcast dig and everything.
• 47:30
[SPEAKER_00]: But they crossed maybe this can be focused.
• 47:32
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, you know, being calm too, because I feel like aura, like your teammates will feed off your aura.
• 47:38
  [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 47:39
[SPEAKER_00]: You got to have a good aura on it as well.
• 47:41
[SPEAKER_05]: I've never not had a good aura, which is great.
• 47:45
[SPEAKER_05]: Let's get into your name here for Nandar.
• 47:47
  [SPEAKER_05]: It's unusual.
• 47:48
[SPEAKER_05]: I've fucked it up all week.
• 47:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Sam more Nandar, I've heard both, you know, whole life.
• 47:52
  [SPEAKER_05]: Where are you from?
• 47:53
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, where's your family from and all that stuff?
• 47:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, I mean, my parents are Persian.
• 47:57
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a little Persian last name.
• 47:59
[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.
• 48:02
[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, it's been a journey to say at least, but yeah, no, this is Persian last name.
• 48:09
[SPEAKER_05]: Are you following what's going on in Iran?
• 48:11
[SPEAKER_05]: Do you guys care like, I don't, you know, forgive me.
• 48:15
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what encompasses being Persian.
• 48:20
[SPEAKER_05]: Do you care about the Iran region and everything that's going on there?
• 48:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, um, so I mean, first of foremost, I'm a Texan and an American, so, you know, the end of the day, you know, you know, it's, it's one of those things where, I mean, Iran has its own history, you know, of, you know, so the right species of, you know, um, things like that, that's the right human rights abuses and so many other things that they've done from proxy wars and things like that, and it's not a good regime, so obviously,
• 48:51
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm just like every other mayor, because you know, you want to see, you know, I mean prosperity, you know, everywhere, but I'm going to say, you know, the regime's no good.
• 49:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, obviously, you know, having a transitional change of government, I think any common sense person, you know, would support.
• 49:08
[SPEAKER_00]: So 1000% we want to see, you know, regime change.
• 49:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I just think on my my behalf, you know, only, you know, that's just common sense on that.
• 49:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: Like it's, it's kind of crazy.
• 49:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I will say this like,
• 49:21
  [SPEAKER_00]: Um, being a first-generation American, right?
• 49:24
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's been a born in Texas and stuff like that.
• 49:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you look at it and you're like, this is like, it's a no-brainer.
• 49:29
[SPEAKER_00]: If anyone's like, you know, uh, though we support the, I told her or the garment.
• 49:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm like,
• 49:34
[SPEAKER_00]: No, like, and I haven't met someone who does.
• 49:37
[SPEAKER_00]: So like, you know, you can't, you can't, you know, knock them down for, you know, try to knock down a bad thing.
• 49:43
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and we were watching on the news.
• 49:45
[SPEAKER_05]: There's been some protests of like, oh, we can't take out the dictator.
• 49:48
[SPEAKER_05]: It was like he murdered 30,000 of his own citizens during these protests and all of this shit and it's just like, no, no, we, we were good.
• 49:56
[SPEAKER_05]: And it feels like everybody supports this.
• 49:58
[SPEAKER_05]: The kid just got named yesterday.
• 50:00
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, the court board cut out of the kid did.
• 50:02
  [SPEAKER_05]: Um, and I think he's not a kid.
• 50:05
[SPEAKER_05]: He's 53 years old, but he's in a coma, uh, leg blown off and uh, might be amputated, uh, we don't know if he's alive for Christ's sake.
• 50:15
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's been a while story for the, done to read from him or something like that.
• 50:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know.
• 50:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, at the end of the day, like, I'm very confident that, you know, states of what we're going to do and all that good stuff.
• 50:27
[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, you know, I think the whole world is,
• 50:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sharing for a like, you know, because the Persian people, right, they're like very much anti the regime, like, you know.
• 50:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the thing sometimes people don't get, but I think majority of our, what's a called media and our society understands that they are supporting the transition government that's not, you know, a theocratic, you know, press and regime.
• 50:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's my opinion, you know, as well.
• 50:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's kind of common sense, but at the same time, you know, it's kind of crazy to see, like, you know, what's happened the last, what 18 months in the world?
• 51:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: Like,
• 51:05
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's just a lot.
• 51:06
  [SPEAKER_05]: Oh my god dude.
• 51:07
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean we we just like the last two months snatching up a dero I told us gone Yeah, there was peace in the Middle East as far as getting the hostage back and all that other stuff from Israel It's it's interesting to see what's going on, but you know for us and like the Persian people like
• 51:26
[SPEAKER_05]: It mixes well with Americans.
• 51:29
[SPEAKER_05]: And you guys are just as proud as being here that we are and all that other stuff.
• 51:33
[SPEAKER_05]: Whereas, you know, some other cultures don't necessarily mixing great with us.
• 51:38
[SPEAKER_05]: And Iranians are baddies underneath those G-Hubs, too.
• 51:42
  [SPEAKER_05]: We didn't know that.
• 51:44
[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't know that they were so hot because they were all wrapped up for years.
• 51:48
[SPEAKER_05]: Now we're starting to see images come in.
• 51:49
[SPEAKER_05]: You're like, all right, God damn, dude.
• 51:51
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, yeah, there's some baddies over in Iran.
• 51:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's it's like, I mean, and that's the thing, too, with people here that you speak like farcee for example, they don't know that that's like, like, that's a Persians and then they're like, oh, what's
• 52:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, you're here, what's purged?
• 52:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, oh, that's you're on, right?
• 52:05
[SPEAKER_00]: So they're like, well, what's the name?
• 52:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Cause it used to be called Persia, way back in the day.
• 52:09
  [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
• 52:09
  [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
• 52:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And we're in our Persia.
• 52:11
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, no, it's, it's definitely a culture that, you know, it's very much an effect.
• 52:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, a compassion of culture with same values, you know, that we have as, you know, Americans as well.
• 52:22
[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, you're under at the incredible pressure for us.
• 52:24
  [SPEAKER_00]: I think regime.
• 52:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: So you
• 52:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, 47 plus years, you know, or even 40 years earlier before the fall of the show, I mean, women didn't have to wear head coverings, like, you know, there was very much normal.
• 52:36
[SPEAKER_00]: You would say on a lot of things for the, you know, the Middle East as well, like, they could drive, they could only, and they could do all those other stuff.
• 52:41
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you like go back in time, like, so, I mean, it is kind of an interesting position to see what's going on, but I mean, at the end of the day, you hope that there will be actually some meaningful change in Iran.
• 52:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 52:53
  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, but
• 52:54
[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm just a kicker like you and also just another guy and Texas No, it's not true.
• 52:59
  [SPEAKER_05]: That's not true.
• 53:00
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm an American hero as well, and I deserve to be treated as touch I don't know if they're gonna build statue outside the stadium of me I mean I heard that I heard it might happen
• 53:11
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I met the mayor.
• 53:13
[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't need the mayor last Friday.
• 53:14
[SPEAKER_00]: He came down on the honorable Johnson.
• 53:17
  [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
• 53:18
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, we met for a little bit before the game.
• 53:21
[SPEAKER_05]: And we had a nice chat about it.
• 53:23
[SPEAKER_05]: So we're working on something.
• 53:25
[SPEAKER_05]: Bob, pull up the odds on mybookie.com to win the national arena league championship.
• 53:32
[SPEAKER_05]: I want to see what these odds are at right now.
• 53:35
[SPEAKER_05]: And then Brad, I'll get your take on these teams.
• 53:41
[SPEAKER_05]: same as I do and and I want to win here, but I want to see the updated odds for the championship.
• 53:50
[SPEAKER_05]: What do we got here, Bob?
• 53:52
[SPEAKER_04]: The Omaha beef are the favorites to win the championship this year at plus 120.
• 53:59
[SPEAKER_04]: Shit, that's almost even odds.
• 54:02
[SPEAKER_04]: Damn, okay, all the Su City bandits.
• 54:05
[SPEAKER_05]: Well real quick, Brad, how good are the Omaha beef.
• 54:09
  [SPEAKER_00]: I've heard they're good.
• 54:11
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm in the, I didn't have a good program, you know, you're after here.
• 54:15
[SPEAKER_05]: Here's what I heard about the Omaha beef and tell me if I'm wrong.
• 54:18
  [SPEAKER_05]: It's a veteran team.
• 54:19
[SPEAKER_05]: They've all played together for a while, so they know each other.
• 54:21
[SPEAKER_05]: That certainly helps and I'm coaching kids and all the teams that I've coached,
• 54:25
[SPEAKER_05]: with kids who have played with each other before.
• 54:27
[SPEAKER_05]: It's way easier than bringing a brand new team together.
• 54:30
[SPEAKER_05]: And I heard there are facilities incredible and they take it really seriously.
• 54:35
  [SPEAKER_05]: They've got a great fan base and there's let's face it.
• 54:38
[SPEAKER_05]: There's nothing else going on in Nebraska.
• 54:40
[SPEAKER_05]: Dallas is a different story because you got the stars in the NHL.
• 54:44
  [SPEAKER_05]: You got the Mavericks.
• 54:45
[SPEAKER_05]: Obviously, you got the Dallas Cowboys, which is
• 54:48
  [SPEAKER_05]: America's team.
• 54:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to use air quotes on that because they want a super bone third Yeah, the highest sports density market in the world and DFW That's what I heard.
• 54:58
[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, who's up next, Bob?
• 55:01
  [SPEAKER_05]: The Sioux City Bandits.
• 55:03
  [SPEAKER_05]: Sioux City Bandits.
• 55:04
[SPEAKER_05]: When what are the odds of those guys?
• 55:06
[SPEAKER_04]: It was like plus 260.
• 55:08
[SPEAKER_05]: All right, so you're you're roughly two and a half to one.
• 55:11
[SPEAKER_05]: You know anything about Sioux City?
• 55:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Su City, I mean, they've been around, you know, they've got some cloud experience.
• 55:18
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think they'd be pretty good.
• 55:20
[SPEAKER_05]: Same thing, like a veteran team that's all played together.
• 55:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 55:23
[SPEAKER_05]: OK. Who's up next, Mom?
• 55:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: Next up.
• 55:26
[SPEAKER_04]: We get the Selena Liberty.
• 55:29
[SPEAKER_00]: So the day was the lineup, yes.
• 55:31
[SPEAKER_00]: They weren't when I played two years ago before my injury, they were in the AFL.
• 55:36
[SPEAKER_00]: So they, they, like, they're, they're good.
• 55:41
[SPEAKER_05]: OK. Who do we got up next, Mom?
• 55:45
  [SPEAKER_04]: The Southwest Kansas storm.
• 55:47
  [SPEAKER_04]: Woo, Southwest Kansas.
• 55:49
[SPEAKER_00]: But they have a Dodge City, right?
• 55:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I'm correct on that Dodge City.
• 55:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I'm right on that.
• 55:57
[SPEAKER_05]: Man, I would have called it the Wyatt herbs or something.
• 56:00
  [SPEAKER_05]: Like that.
• 56:01
[SPEAKER_00]: But I would have the Dodge City to play them.
• 56:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: And it's a very small town.
• 56:06
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I was just gonna ask.
• 56:07
[SPEAKER_05]: That was Dodge City this time of years.
• 56:10
  [SPEAKER_05]: It lovely.
• 56:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean when I went to play there like because it's a phrase I'll explain why it's get out of dodge right like you know but I went there and I was like this is a very small town like there's there's a casino I believe and that's where the attachment to the arena was but they were pretty legit they're good okay who are we going to next mom?
• 56:30
  [SPEAKER_05]: The Amarillo Warbirds
• 56:33
[SPEAKER_05]: I think I believe the championship was there last year because hearty of self-responsited, but I don't know if they won or lost.
• 56:44
[SPEAKER_05]: I was supposed to go to the game, it was going to be in a Saturday night and then they moved into a Monday night of the last second and I had to go live on air.
• 56:51
  [SPEAKER_05]: Um, so I think it's a disclosure.
• 56:55
[SPEAKER_00]: We are not giving you guys advice or guidance on how to bet.
• 56:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: Correct.
• 57:00
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just asking you, is it a pleasure to talk to you?
• 57:03
  [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
• 57:04
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just asking you as a player if these teams are and if they're given up.
• 57:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I've heard of Emerald's team, um, I think they are returning, uh, like, I'm returning franchise to the, to the indorly.
• 57:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but, um, it's also pouring for, like, answer to this is that,
• 57:18
[SPEAKER_00]: If a culture that leaves or moves on, like you might have a new roster with the same program, right?
• 57:23
[SPEAKER_00]: So like, but if you're returning franchise that always gives, like, some fancy ability to know, like, hey, they've got their stuff together, you know, and all that good stuff.
• 57:32
[SPEAKER_00]: So, um, Emerald, they've, they've always, I think they've had team for the last several years, you know?
• 57:36
  [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah.
• 57:38
[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, here we go next, Bob.
• 57:40
[SPEAKER_05]: Louisiana or who got who got a damn Bob you're reading literally every team, but the ones that I've played on this is fucking crazy at this I mean, what do you want to know where your team is?
• 57:51
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, let me so all right Bob I can skip to it Bob host a show called soft core history as well.
• 57:58
  [SPEAKER_05]: It's a history show Brad and
• 58:00
[SPEAKER_05]: We did talk about Luzanna and he said the werewolf on the helmet.
• 58:05
  [SPEAKER_05]: What was it, Bob?
• 58:06
  [SPEAKER_04]: It's a rougaroo.
• 58:07
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a special calicoar wolf that murders you if you don't do lent right.
• 58:12
[SPEAKER_05]: Which I love and I love their fucking logo and I'm all in and it's sin shrieve port.
• 58:18
[SPEAKER_05]: That was another team that I had shattered with this week and I said, Bob, can you pull this up and look at it and then it was informing me that the werewolf was on the helmet and I was like,
• 58:29
[SPEAKER_05]: is the where we'll find the jersey because that would be sweet to hang as well and also my wife just found out that I got traded yesterday and I'm playing this weekend luckily she's out at town so she can't do anything about it so it's it's hilarious because let's face it at 49 this is fucking crazy who's up next Bob.
• 58:48
[SPEAKER_04]: Up next we've got the play below punishers at
• 58:58
  [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
• 58:59
  [SPEAKER_05]: Where is play blow?
• 59:00
  [SPEAKER_05]: Colorado.
• 59:02
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, it's in Colorado, too.
• 59:03
  [SPEAKER_05]: All right.
• 59:03
[SPEAKER_05]: There's two teams in Colorado.
• 59:05
  [SPEAKER_05]: Shit.
• 59:06
  [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
• 59:07
[SPEAKER_05]: And then the last two have to be us, right?
• 59:09
  [SPEAKER_04]: That is correct.
• 59:11
  [SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
• 59:11
  [SPEAKER_04]: What do we got?
• 59:12
[SPEAKER_04]: Dallas Bulls are 18 to one and the Colorado Spartans are 44 to one.
• 59:17
  [SPEAKER_04]: Why?
• 59:18
[SPEAKER_05]: With packs and lynched at the quarter.
• 59:20
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, maybe they looked it last week's score.
• 59:21
  [SPEAKER_05]: They lost last week.
• 59:23
  [SPEAKER_05]: Holy shit, Ross.
• 59:25
[SPEAKER_05]: I believe they lost a play blow, I think.
• 59:27
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 59:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: Pebbles pretty good team.
• 59:29
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but still you got fucking two NFL guys on your team and you lose.
• 59:35
[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe they were taking a, I don't, I don't know what the story is, but that's where the value is.
• 59:39
  [SPEAKER_05]: So what?
• 59:39
[SPEAKER_05]: Colorado's at 44 to one, Bulls are at 18 to one.
• 59:43
  [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
• 59:43
  [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
• 59:44
  [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
• 59:45
[SPEAKER_05]: So, I look pre-season, I know one of my family members did bed on the bulls and I'll probably have one of my family members throw some money on Colorado as well.
• 59:56
[SPEAKER_05]: Um, just so we can hang for the rest of the year and do all that other fun stuff game will be televised again tomorrow nights on drinking bro studios on my right Byron.
• 1:00:03
  [SPEAKER_05]: Is that true?
• 1:00:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I need contact information for the production company.
• 1:00:09
[SPEAKER_03]: I've talked to the commissioner though, so we should hopefully have that.
• 1:00:12
  [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, great.
• 1:00:12
  [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, great.
• 1:00:14
  [SPEAKER_03]: Pending that.
• 1:00:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it'll be good on YouTube and cake and all this stuff.
• 1:00:17
[SPEAKER_03]: Are you fucking playing Dungeons and Dragons tonight?
• 1:00:19
  [SPEAKER_03]: I know I'm fucking sleeping.
• 1:00:24
[SPEAKER_03]: That's the plan at least.
• 1:00:26
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm pretty sick right now.
• 1:00:27
  [SPEAKER_05]: Are you really?
• 1:00:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's getting there at this point.
• 1:00:31
  [SPEAKER_05]: I understand it man.
• 1:00:32
[SPEAKER_05]: It's been some weird weather here in Texas.
• 1:00:34
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but you pop up the live feed.
• 1:00:36
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, have people there filming the game and all that other stuff.
• 1:00:38
[SPEAKER_05]: Lastly, Brad, tell me about this women's league, I've got a daughter, she's already playing soccer in the backyard of three years old and she's tall like I am and she's already fucking bomb in the ball and my wife's just like, hey, you're going to coach her too, like the rest of the kids and I'm like, look, if my kids asked to coach, I will, yes, we went every championship and, you know, I'm virtually undefeated.
• 1:01:03
[SPEAKER_05]: It's one dad fucked me over by sitting on his kid.
• 1:01:05
[SPEAKER_05]: And the only two championships that I've lost is these dad's like, one of them had a yoga session, which was fucking bullshit and whimperally, I was just like, fuck you.
• 1:01:14
[SPEAKER_05]: And then the other one was just like we went we went through a grandparents earlier for spring break and I was like, oh, okay cool It was the championship of thanks guys I've got to join in my time for the rest of the year But what I've noticed and there's just trend going on right now a lot of women sports or are getting bigger and bigger volleyball is beginning that's going to be the pro volleyball circuit is going to start next year for women if you have not watched it is a fucking blast
• 1:01:38
[SPEAKER_05]: Nebraska women's team sells out the football stadium every year.
• 1:01:42
  [SPEAKER_05]: It's awesome.
• 1:01:43
[SPEAKER_05]: And then women's soccer is way better than men's like I hate to say it Brad But it's true and it's more fun to watch and the USA dominates and these girls are aggressive and they beat the shit out of each other Why why what let's start over this?
• 1:01:59
[SPEAKER_05]: Why does the men's team suck so bad and why is the women dominance like for years and years and years?
• 1:02:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: Well like so
• 1:02:07
[SPEAKER_00]: The United States, especially when you're doing international sports, right?
• 1:02:09
[SPEAKER_00]: We're known for creating the best athletes, right?
• 1:02:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So like, that's the one thing that every country wants to know about.
• 1:02:15
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, how do you create this culture and bring the best athletes?
• 1:02:18
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, on the, and why is that translate, you know, to soccer?
• 1:02:22
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think on the men's side, it's getting better, but also this, that's a much deeper conversation of like, you know, how do we structure professional leagues and education and academies?
• 1:02:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: But women by far,
• 1:02:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the women's soccer and the U.S. are like second to none.
• 1:02:36
[SPEAKER_00]: They're really good players, and I think I asked to do the development and the process to get to the professional level.
• 1:02:42
[SPEAKER_00]: They're trying to change some things now, I know.
• 1:02:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Because it was a pathway, right?
• 1:02:47
[SPEAKER_00]: You go to high school, you play club, and then you go to college, and you graduate and you go pro, right?
• 1:02:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So we're catching up with some of like, sometimes you don't need to go college, you know, you get a pro contract, you know?
• 1:02:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, culturally in the U.S.
• 1:03:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's like no, you want to go to college first.
• 1:03:02
[SPEAKER_00]: It's something that some people are saying.
• 1:03:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 1:03:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm only going to be young ones.
• 1:03:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I could go to school afterwards.
• 1:03:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me go play, right?
• 1:03:08
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it has to do with, especially on the living side, great sports science, good nutrition, good, you know.
• 1:03:15
  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we're the United States.
• 1:03:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: We dominate and everything.
• 1:03:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, so.
• 1:03:19
[SPEAKER_05]: But except for men's soccer and I can't figure it out.
• 1:03:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you also have to look at like how like other other sports that we have in the US like I mean, I played like literally every sport growing up, right?
• 1:03:33
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, you know, you do it, but then also there's the that was soccer this culture, you have to do this full time when you're like 13 or you've team with all this other stuff.
• 1:03:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think with the, with the men's side, you know, the rest of the world, that's the only focus, like if you go to Italy or Europe or South America, that's all they play soccer.
• 1:03:49
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I think, you know, now that we're getting more sports specific, that's great.
• 1:03:55
[SPEAKER_00]: But we're like one of the only countries that has a culture of hey, you could be baseball football and soccer at the same time.
• 1:04:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that's like, you know, what I have a son on day, I'm going to have him play multiple sports on care, right?
• 1:04:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it has to do with development academies and things like that.
• 1:04:09
[SPEAKER_00]: But as far as our girls team goes, it's an indoor woman soccer team, right?
• 1:04:13
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, it's like a rate of football, but, you know, it's indoors, right, for girls soccer.
• 1:04:18
[SPEAKER_00]: So six be six on the field, um, and
• 1:04:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's just, it's a grind.
• 1:04:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's walls, you can play off the wall.
• 1:04:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
• 1:04:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Just like Ray Rayner's soccer, but the technical tactical side of it is so much faster and quicker than outdoor, because it's a close field space.
• 1:04:33
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's our women's team, we're called Texas Lone Star SC, and it's our first year franchise that we qualified for the playoffs and Detroit, which is the top eight teams.
• 1:04:42
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we're headed to the Mexico team that's in our conference.
• 1:04:45
[SPEAKER_00]: We're the South Conference, the most competitive conference there is.
• 1:04:48
[SPEAKER_00]: And so right now, our schedule is going to Detroit on the 19th or the 23rd for the National Championship.
• 1:04:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And so we're aggressively trying to raise funds for that trip.
• 1:04:59
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, gas prices, right?
• 1:05:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Have gone through the roof on some areas, you know, and some industry sectors.
• 1:05:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: And so,
• 1:05:05
[SPEAKER_05]: your airplane and airfield tickets would be so that's what we have going on this week and then how can people help you is there a website that you got to go to to donates because I understand it I just brought a plane tickets last night to take my other son back home for spring break in in North Carolina my god dude coach tickets were I don't know eight hundred fifty bucks
• 1:05:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and so yeah, um, just yeah, the whole thing with the glasses like one way one way tickets by the way yeah, it's a thing and that guy's I got to take 20 plus so yeah, so like our website is tx loan star SC dot com
• 1:05:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Our Instagram guys, and you guys want to follow us at TX LoneStarSC, or say with our TikTok, our Facebook group is Texas LoneStar Saw Her Club.
• 1:05:56
[SPEAKER_00]: You can email us at TXLoneStarSC at gmail.com.
• 1:06:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we would love any of y'all support to help us get there.
• 1:06:05
[SPEAKER_00]: And we also have a women's team that's going to be playing outdoor.
• 1:06:08
[SPEAKER_00]: which starts May through July and the WPS, which stands for Women's Marriage Soccer League, and it's the largest women's outdoor, what's it called, season then, and we're here.
• 1:06:19
[SPEAKER_00]: uh... what's called league in the world so that was a huge thing that our team was going to do this in the next summer and we're trying to raise funds for that as well and you can have college players playing it without violent and i.l.
• 1:06:30
[SPEAKER_00]: deals or some of that and players that aren't called players so it's a really good platform for them to you know pursue the next level so uh... those are the two teams that we have and we're the only franchise to my knowledge right now that has both the indoor and the outdoor in the country that's awesome
• 1:06:44
  [SPEAKER_05]: That's awesome.
• 1:06:45
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I tell you what, email our producer Bob out to the show and he'll put these links in the audio and video description on Spotify.
• 1:06:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and you can see that Brad named our TX.
• 1:06:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not Ross Patterson's clone.
• 1:07:01
[SPEAKER_05]: or my body double or a I do it man.
• 1:07:05
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm telling you the last like three years every like celebrities been the show or whatever wherever I go um people are like oh man you don't know that person like do they're on the show um yeah everybody it's it's everybody no matter what happens in today's world thinks there's some grand conspiracy behind everything and it was just like
• 1:07:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I grabbed a jersey out of the box and that was it okay and also my defense too I didn't even know my number going to the game, so like not upset we just grabbed a fucking jersey So yeah, but this week.
• 1:07:39
[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be much more organized It's going to be a lot more what's it called?
• 1:07:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean you go through the growing pains, right?
• 1:07:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: So
• 1:07:45
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, this week is going to be a good game and also, you know, you know, we'll see each other as well and all that good stuff too.
• 1:07:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, you know, I think some lives is, you know, who's going to kick a first feel goal?
• 1:07:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Who's going to, you know, get a kick box?
• 1:07:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah.
• 1:07:59
[SPEAKER_00]: So like that, which, by the way, I had a P2 that was blocked.
• 1:08:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: That was it.
• 1:08:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: You did.
• 1:08:05
[SPEAKER_05]: You and I were both one out of two last week and you did the same thing.
• 1:08:10
[SPEAKER_05]: You shortened up because of that seam in the carpet and it was just too close.
• 1:08:14
[SPEAKER_05]: And those guys rolled in and got it.
• 1:08:16
[SPEAKER_05]: But man, unless you go there, because we had a bunch of listeners who came down on the field afterwards who were there, and they were like, man, I had no idea how small this was.
• 1:08:25
[SPEAKER_05]: It's eight feet wide, guys.
• 1:08:27
  [SPEAKER_05]: Like that's it.
• 1:08:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's really narrow, y'all.
• 1:08:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: Like it is narrow.
• 1:08:31
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll see you need to practice your holder with the snapper and all these logistics but people don't realize.
• 1:08:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And I know a lot of fans will say, I'll just kick the ball all the other stuff.
• 1:08:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Trust me, we are kidding, it's not like we're not.
• 1:08:46
[SPEAKER_00]: So, but we have to rely on other mechanics to be there, to always, you know, to be able to perform.
• 1:08:53
[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's, but, you know, at the end of the day, kickoffs, you know, we have more potential left.
• 1:08:57
  [SPEAKER_05]: That's easy, yeah.
• 1:08:58
  [SPEAKER_05]: I'm, I'm, I'm always going to tap.
• 1:09:00
[SPEAKER_05]: It's the rest of it.
• 1:09:00
[SPEAKER_05]: You got to depend on everybody else.
• 1:09:02
[SPEAKER_05]: Now, as a boy in the show, we get to the drinking bro of the week, which is somebody who has inspired you or helps you become the person you are today.
• 1:09:08
[SPEAKER_05]: Mr. Brad Namedar, who would you like to give the drinking bro of the week, too?
• 1:09:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my, well, so this is how to be a bro?
• 1:09:18
[SPEAKER_00]: No, give me a minute, I can be anybody.
• 1:09:21
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my wife.
• 1:09:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: Pissed.
• 1:09:22
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah, great, I'm better.
• 1:09:24
[SPEAKER_05]: My, my Jesse and I'm better, my wife.
• 1:09:26
  [SPEAKER_05]: She's lovely, dude.
• 1:09:27
[SPEAKER_05]: And she's the same way as my wife, where she's like, what the fuck are you guys doing out there?
• 1:09:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, kind of.
• 1:09:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:09:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: Very good.
• 1:09:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:09:34
[SPEAKER_00]: But she enjoys it too.
• 1:09:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Like she thinks it's great.
• 1:09:36
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think she just wants to make sure that like, you know, like your wife, like we don't get the storage for hit.
• 1:09:41
  [SPEAKER_05]: I know, and it's very real.
• 1:09:43
[SPEAKER_05]: And I promised my wife last night when she called it was like this would be the last game.
• 1:09:47
[SPEAKER_05]: I'll try to come back next year and put it on.
• 1:09:50
[SPEAKER_00]: That Ross's last game is first Colorado.
• 1:09:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: There's another good one.
• 1:09:53
  [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, exactly.
• 1:09:54
[SPEAKER_05]: I, but I did tell the commissioner said, look, we try to get the Guinness Book of World Records there.
• 1:10:01
[SPEAKER_05]: They take it very seriously, and it's a four-week process, they came in and said we found a guy Five or six years ago that was 11 months older than you so if you want to come back and break the record
• 1:10:15
[SPEAKER_05]: uh... for for arena you got to come back you know and do it next year some like all right i'll do one more game this year and then i'll come back and try to break the record next year and that'll be a fun thing it's just a shape yeah i stay a shape but Ross i talk to you about that you know you're talking to the pull-up guy it's something that i want to do though
• 1:10:34
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah, dude, so last night when you were not chatting about this for today, you said you wanted to set the record for most extra points in a 24 hour period.
• 1:10:44
  [SPEAKER_05]: But look that up.
• 1:10:45
[SPEAKER_05]: Is that does that exist in Guinness right now?
• 1:10:48
[SPEAKER_05]: Because our buddy, Camhaines is kid.
• 1:10:51
[SPEAKER_05]: He's just set the record for pull ups in a 24 hour period.
• 1:10:56
[SPEAKER_05]: And he did it in genes from the perfect gene dot NYC slash
• 1:11:04
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, true it true it is like life streamed it.
• 1:11:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I could I would want to get 24 hours.
• 1:11:10
[SPEAKER_05]: I hate did you watch true it's thing for pull-ups?
• 1:11:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:11:15
  [SPEAKER_05]: Um so dude.
• 1:11:16
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean they had meals times food, drinks, water, and then he was immediately back up there doing pull-ups and broke the record, but also you got to stay up for 24 hours.
• 1:11:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
• 1:11:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that won't be the problem for sure.
• 1:11:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 1:11:29
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is my head for like 10 years, but then I was like, you know what, it would be really cool to do that with you guys or something.
• 1:11:35
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we're gonna feel like, you know, like, there has to be a supply chain on it.
• 1:11:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, so as a catch it, you know, throw it to someone else.
• 1:11:41
[SPEAKER_05]: You gotta have a bunch of balls.
• 1:11:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what it is.
• 1:11:44
[SPEAKER_00]: And I would do it for 24 hours, non-stop, you know, donate portion to non-profits or some good cons or so like that.
• 1:11:49
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, what's the record, Bob?
• 1:11:51
  [SPEAKER_04]: It appears a thousand.
• 1:11:55
  [SPEAKER_05]: Whoa, dude.
• 1:11:56
[SPEAKER_05]: So how many you were close.
• 1:12:00
[SPEAKER_05]: So how many is that and like for per hour and 24 hours I guess An on the calculator on man.
• 1:12:06
  [SPEAKER_05]: I'm fucking dumb.
• 1:12:07
  [SPEAKER_04]: So 41 42 an hour.
• 1:12:10
[SPEAKER_00]: So you need to average 42 Let's go.
• 1:12:13
  [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
• 1:12:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
• 1:12:16
[SPEAKER_05]: So the what is that one every minute and 15 seconds at least
• 1:12:21
  [SPEAKER_05]: That's totally possible.
• 1:12:22
[SPEAKER_05]: Is it on was it was it was in an arena on a normal field?
• 1:12:24
  [SPEAKER_05]: There's just a normal field.
• 1:12:25
  [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, shit.
• 1:12:26
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, if you could stay up, I think you could do it, Brad.
