- 0:06Whoo, whoo. Whoo what?
- 0:09Nothing. It was.
- 0:10Just yeah, look at me weird. Yeah, well, no, no welcome.
- 0:13Man, have a girlfriend now. Jackie, can you give me those
- 0:15looks anymore? What about your eyes?
- 0:21What on earth is going on here? OK, ignoring that, welcome
- 0:26everyone to BMF Guys, Banker Management, the Fantasy Hockey
- 0:33Podcast. We're getting close to acronym
- 0:35level. Bangor M GMT.
- 0:38Do you know? Do you?
- 0:40Copyright, Copyright, copyright. Mayday, OK.
- 0:46Today we're going to be doing our Week 20 buy low, sell high
- 0:50trade targets. Supposed that was on purpose.
- 0:53That's supposed episode of episode, last episode probably
- 0:56for buy low, sell high, yeah. Yeah, that's sad.
- 1:00What a year we. Had honestly.
- 1:02So much good advice has been given on this show.
- 1:06Little we do. So little, so little of it has
- 1:08been taken. OK.
- 1:10All their loss, No, But yeah, it's been a lot of fun and as I
- 1:16say, hopefully. By the time you're listening to
- 1:17this, your league trade deadline hasn't passed yet.
- 1:20I know probably a lot of leagues the trade deadline has already
- 1:22passed by the time listening to this, but if you're Championship
- 1:25is a week 25 it's probably still open.
- 1:27Yeah. So let's get one last one last.
- 1:30File and even if your championship week, even if your
- 1:33trade deadline has already passed, this is still a good
- 1:35indicator of what to expect from these guys rest of season and
- 1:38you can kind of mentally prepare your team and structure in a
- 1:40certain way. True.
- 1:41So it's still still valuable information.
- 1:44Well said. Well said.
- 1:45So yeah, please follow us on Spotify or Apple Podcast,
- 1:49wherever you get your podcasts and rate US five stars whether
- 1:52or not you like what you hear. And you can find the link to our
- 1:55socials in the podcast description.
- 1:57Josh Button. All right.
- 2:00Click on that button right as five stars.
- 2:02What? The heck was even that?
- 2:04Please. Daddy chill.
- 2:08Alright, on that note, my speaking my last Bilo of the
- 2:12season. Yeah, just to be clear, this is
- 2:14not the last episode. We're still we're sticking
- 2:16around. Just wouldn't be the last.
- 2:18Buy low, sell high. So it's not like don't cry
- 2:22because it's over, smile because it happened.
- 2:23Like no, it's still happening, guys.
- 2:25Don't cry because it's still happening.
- 2:28My Bilo this week is Jake the Snake Gensel.
- 2:32That is actually. Like, no, I just think anyway,
- 2:36yeah. Jacqueline Snook, Yeah.
- 2:43We're here every week, folks. Yeah, so over the past month,
- 2:48Jake Ansell is averaging .67 points per game.
- 2:51Now I'll give this a disclaimer of all the past month.
- 2:53Averages are skewed because of the two week break, but but
- 2:56still, it shows that he hasn't been doing great since coming
- 2:58back and right before the break. But even on the season he's only
- 3:01at .98 points per game. His shots on goal are also below
- 3:043 on the season. His skill in deployment is just
- 3:06too good to be anything less than over a point per game and
- 3:08over three shots on goal per game.
- 3:10Their power play has also been a bit quiet lately, but it's one
- 3:12of the best in the league. I expect him to really heat up
- 3:14over the next few weeks and finish the season really strong,
- 3:16so if you can get him at a slight discount now is your best
- 3:18chance to do so. So some targets I'm thinking of
- 3:21on the same team. I've got Brandon Hagel, I've got
- 3:25Esper Brat and Alex Debrincat. Hmm, this is big.
- 3:29What do you guys think? I love him as a buy low.
- 3:31He's a fantastic elite player. You saw it in the Four Nations
- 3:34right? Like he was so good.
- 3:36I like the targets too. Do you think it's usually easier
- 3:39or harder to trade someone on the same real life team?
- 3:42Gets harder, Yeah. I feel like there's more, it's
- 3:46easier to like directly compare. So someone else could be like,
- 3:50oh, he's clearly better, clearly worse, you know, Whereas when
- 3:52they're across different teams, he could be like, oh, I think
- 3:54this team is gonna do better so I can make the trade.
- 3:56So I think it is a more difficult.
- 3:58But I thought it was interesting when I was looking at potential
- 4:00targets to include a guy who's just, I think doesn't actually
- 4:03have as good deployment on the team and isn't as good of a
- 4:06player, but it's on the same team and is doing better so.
- 4:09I like it and all the targets are great.
- 4:11I I think they could get it done actually.
- 4:14Yeah, absolutely. Yeah.
- 4:15I think Gentle honestly is one of the better fantasy assets.
- 4:19I think he's kind of like been low key the whole season.
- 4:21But on Tampa, I mean, I just love that that line one stack
- 4:25and on the power play, argue with the best power play in the
- 4:27game. So I've been trying to get
- 4:28dental on my team personally for a long, let's say a long part of
- 4:32the season. But that's not English.
- 4:35It's not. Too bad.
- 4:36But no shot. No shot, no shot.
- 4:41You know, you know, listen to our previous episode.
- 4:44But yeah, no, I I love this pic. I think all the guys you
- 4:47mentioned can get it done too, especially, like Brad.
- 4:49Brad has been like, pretty nuts lately.
- 4:51Yeah. I mean.
- 4:52He's been having a yes for summer for.
- 4:53Sure, yeah. He's been consistently ourself
- 4:57high kind of theme, I would say. Yeah, I've hated on this read
- 5:02the whole season, but I would love to do that.
- 5:03Trade, yeah, I, yeah, I mean, to bring it, I don't even think
- 5:08it's necessarily a stretch, I think.
- 5:10There's also been on fire to all.
- 5:11These guys have been. Super hot.
- 5:13Yeah. These are all just like
- 5:14realistic, very good targets for sure.
- 5:17Almost like they did a great job on this job.
- 5:21No notes. My turn.
- 5:24It is all poetic that my last by law of the season is somebody on
- 5:29my very small hate list. But it is Mark Stone of the
- 5:33Vegas Golden Knights. Wow.
- 5:35Yeah, can be used as a verb or a noun.
- 5:37Yeah, literally. We're seeing teams mark stone
- 5:40their way into the playoffs. Yeah, speak with all these
- 5:42injured guys near the. Line Yeah, we were negotiating a
- 5:45trade before and then, like Josh, tried to mark stone me out
- 5:48of our friendship. Jake will be on LTIR until
- 5:52further notice. But what you need to know from
- 5:57Mark Stone is that he's a consistent point per game player
- 6:01basically or above honestly, this season he's been at above
- 6:04point per game, but right now he's at 0.5 points per game
- 6:06where the last two weeks over the last month he's below point
- 6:09per game as well. So he's not like honestly bottom
- 6:11of the barrel low currently, but I still think that he has a
- 6:15significant room to work his way up to where he's going to be for
- 6:18the rest of the season. Vegas has a nice playoff
- 6:20schedule as well. He has no power play points
- 6:23recently as well. So I think Vegas, you know,
- 6:26we're gonna start clicking there.
- 6:28He's averaging 0.5 power play points on the season.
- 6:30So which is honestly illiterate. Elite.
- 6:34Yeah, that's like, I don't know if he'll it'll last there, but
- 6:36it will be above .4, which is already elite in itself, but it
- 6:39has no points recently in the power over the last two weeks.
- 6:41So with the Four Nations break, obviously that kind of throws a
- 6:44wrench in it a little bit. That's a little skewed, but I
- 6:48think I like him a lot for averaging over point per game of
- 6:51the season either. You can get them for cheap right
- 6:53now because if you look at this game log, it does not look too
- 6:56intimidating. You know, he has kind of like a
- 6:57negative connotation to him. People know he's like, you know,
- 7:00not really a peripheral guy and always injured, especially this
- 7:04time of year. So maybe somebody believes in
- 7:06the bad juju and trying to get him off the roster.
- 7:08You listen to this podcast, you probably hate him too.
- 7:12He's only 82% owned, so that also shows you that he's not the
- 7:16type of guy that's roster in every league, even though he has
- 7:18like somewhat of a name value. But I think you can get him for
- 7:20pretty cheap right now. Like names that I'm trying to
- 7:22trade for him are Matt Duchene, Dylan Strome who's been on fire,
- 7:26Alex the Brain Cut who Josh mentioned, and even Brad Marshan
- 7:29who's also been on fire. Yeah, I think all these guys are
- 7:32producing way over point per game currently and I would take
- 7:35Mark Stone ahead of them rest of season.
- 7:37Yeah, totally fair, totally fair.
- 7:39Obviously the .5 is like, yeah, that's not a thing.
- 7:43He's just like one of the more elite power play points.
- 7:47You've been .5 like points currently. .5 Power.
- 7:50Point by point, That's crazy because that's on the season,
- 7:53right? It's not like it's just a recent
- 7:55like small. Sample.
- 7:55So I almost like think that they're not gonna like put it on
- 7:58LTIR again, like. I think, I mean, he's not hurt,
- 8:00right? Now exactly exactly find away.
- 8:05Well, it does sound like. It always.
- 8:06Is not going to go searching for an injury, you know what I mean?
- 8:09Like. No, Kelly Mccrimmon's gonna show
- 8:11up at his house. The crowbar.
- 8:13What time of the year? Mark.
- 8:15It only makes sense to put him on the LIRR if they can use the
- 8:18cap space to make a move the trade deadlines next week.
- 8:21Yeah, pretty much. And they already have Theodore,
- 8:22who got Mark Stone. So yeah.
- 8:25Mark, Stone Mark Stove. That's the targets are great and
- 8:33I all fair and I think all realistic as well.
- 8:38I don't know anything else to say really.
- 8:39Like exactly what I said? Yeah.
- 8:41No, no. Let me put it this way.
- 8:45Marshall was on the Cliff. There, here we go.
- 8:48I also think though that I mean, I don't know when he came back
- 8:53in relation to the injury, but he had a pretty brutal injury at
- 8:55some point. Yeah, kept him out for awhile
- 8:57and he hasn't been really the same since then.
- 8:59But like just further out in players are from their injuries,
- 9:03the better they end up being, right.
- 9:04So that's like another sign pointing him to to improving the
- 9:07rest of the season, kind of getting back to the self from
- 9:10the beginning. Yep.
- 9:12OK, my by low Some Toronto Maple Leafs fans call him a poor man's
- 9:21Bobby McMahon. No one has ever said.
- 9:25That. Only do you know that?
- 9:29But but around these parts, he's known as former first overall
- 9:34pick. Your eyes Lefkofsky.
- 9:37Cool. No applause.
- 9:39If so, If your playoffs are there's a chair from Josh.
- 9:43Nice. If your playoffs are between
- 9:44weeks 22 to 24, the Canadians have a very nice 344 schedule
- 9:49and even your playoffs go to Week 25, the hubs of five games.
- 9:54And because they're a young team that's going to try to develop
- 9:58their players, it's worth it to roster them even in the most
- 10:02shallow of leaks because he has great peripheral categories and
- 10:07potentially his points upside is quite substantial as well.
- 10:10So currently he's only rostered in 52% of leagues.
- 10:15Probably most of those were peripheral oriented because of
- 10:18the back category potential. But I think at this point he
- 10:21should be rostered in most points leagues moving forward
- 10:23too. It seems that his game has
- 10:26shifted and he's really coming into his own as a power forward
- 10:30as opposed to just a skill guy. Josh, what was the quote that
- 10:34you saw? Yeah, well, pretty much.
- 10:36He was asked about his game going coming into the end of the
- 10:39season after the formations, and he said that he always viewed
- 10:42himself as a player kind of like Patrick Kane.
- 10:44And then he was watching the Four Nations and he decided that
- 10:47he actually wants to be a player more like Brady Kuchuk.
- 10:50And then he comes out and had a game where he scored a goal, had
- 10:52five Pimms, five shots and eight hits.
- 10:54So seems like you might be able to, you know, just match this
- 10:58style A. Bit which would be massive
- 11:00because if this is like the route that he's going, I just
- 11:03don't think he's like he has like the agility really to be a
- 11:07top skill. Guy, yeah, I don't know.
- 11:09Of you to develop. Into it No, no, I mean it's
- 11:11great, but like Patrick Kane's like a unique talent in and of
- 11:13itself I. Think I I first my first
- 11:15reaction is how do you view yourself as a Patrick Kane?
- 11:17You're like 6 something to your. Monster 64240 He's a.
- 11:20Monster. But here's The thing is that,
- 11:22like, all these guys, especially a guy who goes first overall,
- 11:24they grew up just dominating every league they've played in,
- 11:26you know? So he was the Patrick Kane of,
- 11:28like, his, you know, every league played in until coming to
- 11:30the NHL where that's where you like, really have to adapt your
- 11:32game to play with, like, the other best in the world.
- 11:34Yeah. So that's probably why he always
- 11:36viewed himself as like, you know, more of a skilled guy and
- 11:38then he's coming into the league and he's like, you know what?
- 11:40I can make more of an impact being more of a Brady
- 11:42constructive player, which matches the type of body he has
- 11:45that we all notice. Yeah, if he's finally like, if
- 11:48he's finally committing to this is going to be huge, Yeah,
- 11:50really, really big for the Canadians as a franchise, for
- 11:53them rest of season and as a fantasy asset.
- 11:55The most importantly, of course, Yeah, it's great.
- 11:59But the main idea I also think with trading for him is that
- 12:01stuff Kowski is, you know, the goal for him on the Canadians is
- 12:06to develop their young talent. And even if they're in the
- 12:09playoff picture at the time, you know, closer to the rest of the
- 12:13season around fantasy playoffs, stuff is going to be a major
- 12:16part of that. He's been very inconsistent all
- 12:18year, unlike Bobby McMahon. Sorry, I'll edit that out, but
- 12:24one thing that I've noticed about young players and Sloth in
- 12:28particular, is that even though young players are plagued with
- 12:30inconsistencies, they tend to wake up and be more consistent
- 12:34towards the end of the year. This happens with why Johnston
- 12:37too, so it's just a typical thing with Slough is definitely
- 12:41kind of the poster child for that.
- 12:43Second-half Slough. I really don't think the price
- 12:48to buy him is too, too high yet, depending on who you ask, but
- 12:54but I think if you send the following players for him, you'd
- 12:57be quite happy with the return having Slough Kofsky rest of
- 13:00season. So to start, I I put Dylan
- 13:04Holloway, Voronkov, Brayden Schenn, especially in non
- 13:09faceoff leagues and maybe a stretch with Dobson coming back.
- 13:12But like honestly, maybe Tony D'Angelo if you wanted to go
- 13:15across position. So I think that we're going to
- 13:18have disagreement on the D'Angelo one, but for the
- 13:20others, I mean, you have Holloway on Bronco, right?
- 13:23What would you rather slow for those guys rest of the season?
- 13:26So I think I think that's an interesting one because I think
- 13:29there's really just gonna be two types of people.
- 13:30There's gonna be the believers and the non believers.
- 13:33And. You know, The thing is, he's
- 13:36been really bad this season. Yeah.
- 13:38So there's no reason you should have to pay a premium.
- 13:41But you will have people who are going to think all the same
- 13:43things that you just thought. You know, you could say it's
- 13:45copium. You could say they have fans.
- 13:47You could say you don't know whatever you want to say.
- 13:50But some people are just gonna stink from here on out.
- 13:52He's going to have a monster rest this season.
- 13:54In that case, you might not be able to get him for, like,
- 13:56another, like, the price that he should be able to be gotten for
- 13:59how bad he's been this season. And then you have the people who
- 14:02don't necessarily believe that. One thing I will say is probably
- 14:05a lot of people have already dropped him now.
- 14:07So if someone's holding on to him, they probably are
- 14:09believers. But there's probably still
- 14:10people who have held on to him for awhile, just like dying for
- 14:12an excuse to get rid of him but thinking he's too good to draw.
- 14:14So if someone offers them anything for him, they're
- 14:16willing to take that like lifeboat.
- 14:18So I think that's. Really though is that someone
- 14:20may have just picked them up after the past two games and
- 14:24that there he can be bought. Yeah, they might cause they in
- 14:26their head there like I just picked him up for free.
- 14:27I could just flip them. For someone who's been on, who's
- 14:30been roster table? Exactly.
- 14:32So I definitely I like a lot of these targets like the Holloway
- 14:35and Voronkov. Would you do it?
- 14:37I know you have all three players, right?
- 14:39But like. I just look at the team when you
- 14:41made your choices. I I wanted to do this like
- 14:43specifically because I want to see your take and.
- 14:46I happen to be a slave believer, but I think it would be crazy to
- 14:50think like Holloway. I think it's the same kind of
- 14:52like archetype of Slough, right? You know, he's also like a shot
- 14:55guy and hit well. Hasn't necessarily been shocked.
- 14:58He's a big hitter and shooting and he's been had a breakout
- 15:00year this year. So I think I would definitely
- 15:03take all away for Slough. And then Voronkov is tough
- 15:06because he had a rough stretch while Marchinko was injured.
- 15:10And then Marchinko came back and he's had two multiple point
- 15:12games since marching Guzman back.
- 15:14So assuming the Marchinko bump stays, then yeah, I'll do it for
- 15:17Voronkov as well. So I think those are good ones.
- 15:19Great intern has been a monster. I would actually say it's more
- 15:22especially, yes, in face off win leagues.
- 15:23You know, in face off win leagues, I don't think she has
- 15:25much value. Yeah.
- 15:26But in face off win leagues, I think I think you could
- 15:28definitely do Scheffer Slough. Yeah.
- 15:30D'Angelo is the only one, I think.
- 15:31I think with Dobson coming back, D'angelo's almost pretty much a
- 15:34drop so far. I think.
- 15:35I don't think anyone who's holding Slough would take
- 15:38D'Angelo because at that point just different streamer.
- 15:40But the rest of them I think are good.
- 15:42I think he's a great buy low. Like I said, I'm one of the
- 15:44believers and everything you said here.
- 15:45And I think just like if you're a bit more like dialed into like
- 15:49the Habs, being a Habs fan and you've been seeing like the
- 15:52press conferences after the last couple of games and just the way
- 15:55he's been talking. And I think another thing with
- 15:57these young players, and I think one of the reasons they may get
- 16:00better like towards the end of seasons is they're just not used
- 16:03to playing 82 games. 82 games is a long season.
- 16:05You know, you add in the fact that you just had a two week
- 16:07break. I think a lot of these guys who
- 16:09aren't used to the long season are going to have a really
- 16:11strong finish because they got that reset and they're only
- 16:14they've only got like 30 more games to play.
- 16:16So I think, I think it's a really good.
- 16:18Biopsy. Fair.
- 16:19I think I could actually even add like a Grandland and an
- 16:21Elers. Those are two options.
- 16:23I like those a lot. I think those definitely get
- 16:25done. Yeah, I think slash owner would
- 16:27if they've been holding them all year, then they look like on
- 16:30healers and like a grand. Those are more flashy names, but
- 16:33those are. I'd rather have slash to them, I
- 16:35think. But and I think that those deals
- 16:37both get. Done for sure.
- 16:38Yeah, I think, I think. What do you think?
- 16:41Overall, I I completely agree. I think right now is the time to
- 16:43buy. I think we're seeing maybe a
- 16:45second-half sloth type of a type of thing.
- 16:49But he still doesn't have he still has like the the taste in
- 16:52your mouth of like the sour season he's had.
- 16:54Yeah. So I think right now is the time
- 16:56to capitalize on it. I mean, you have no choice but
- 16:58to capitalize right now because the lines are closing.
- 17:00Yeah. So this is it, right.
- 17:02But if you have slap on your team already, you're listening
- 17:04to this. I'd be thrilled.
- 17:05I would not looking at looking at dropping him and I'd be
- 17:08thinking that maybe I have a pretty good power forward for
- 17:11the rest of the season. Yeah.
- 17:12And the last thing I'll just mention is that like Voronkov.
- 17:16Would Voronkov Voronkov. Let's not do this like he may
- 17:24not be rostered in some leagues as an example, but like let's
- 17:27say he is and slap is on waivers because that could happen and
- 17:30more shallow leagues. Like I would draw Voronkov for
- 17:32slab for instance, if he's one of the least, you know, good
- 17:36players on your team. Like I was just saying like for
- 17:38Slough 52% owned in Yahoo, I would say it's worth it to just
- 17:41pick them up if he's there for sure.
- 17:43But if it's a deeper league and you can still trade for him
- 17:45then. Do it.
- 17:47I agree. Cool.
- 17:48Let's do your cell. Hi, Josh.
- 17:49All right, my cell. Hi, My final sell high for the
- 17:52season is Alex Tuck on the Buffalo Sabres.
- 17:55Over the past month he's averaging over a point per game.
- 17:58Again, numbers are skewed because of the break, but
- 18:00they're also really skewed because right before the break
- 18:02he had two 3 point games and had like a four point A4 game point
- 18:06streak. He's great in bangers leagues
- 18:08because of his cat coverage, specifically in Pimms and
- 18:10blocks. He's one of the best forwards in
- 18:12the league, but I'd expect him to finish the season around .7
- 18:15points per game Max. His deployment is awful on an
- 18:17already awful team. He's only playing 92 power play,
- 18:202 on the Sabres and he has no exposure to their best player,
- 18:22Teach Thompson. People might look at his recent
- 18:24stretch and think of him as one of those great players who
- 18:26combines perhaps with a point per game pace, but his points
- 18:29will definitely dry up, so now is the best time to sell.
- 18:31So some targets that I'm looking at are Drake Batherson, Jordan
- 18:34Kyrou or a cold Cofield. I like all of it.
- 18:39Yeah, for sure. They, of course, like, you may
- 18:42get traded, but we gotta like deal with like the situation as
- 18:45it is right now. And there's no immediate
- 18:47indication of that. And I think all your players are
- 18:50in upgrade. You'd say, though, that even
- 18:51with Buffalo's decent playoff schedule.
- 18:54Well, first of all, other than Cairo here.
- 18:57Batherson, Caulfield. Yeah, he was gonna ask about.
- 19:00Cairo, yeah, but even Kairu is only had got one fewer game than
- 19:03Tuck. It's not like Saint Louis has a
- 19:05bad one. It's just one fewer and no two
- 19:07game weeks. Yeah, and I think it's enough of
- 19:10an upgrade. I just think that this this tuck
- 19:13point production right now is a mirage.
- 19:16Oh, Mirage, that's a good word. Yeah.
- 19:20Illusion. Yeah, yeah, agreed.
- 19:22Could what? Yeah, it's all.
- 19:24These players could get copular or bathrooms in though out of
- 19:27these like with the elite playoff schedule as well.
- 19:29Like that would be just be like insane.
- 19:30I think in a lot of leaves you can flip tuck for Batson right
- 19:33now for sure. Really.
- 19:34Bad 'cause he hasn't. Really as well, Yeah.
- 19:36He's he was on a Barlow episode last.
- 19:39Time, Yeah. So I think, I think both of
- 19:40those could get done and I think those are huge ones.
- 19:43Yep, absolutely. Cool.
- 19:45Yep. Alright, time for my last sell
- 19:50high of the season. I'm getting emotional.
- 19:52Yeah, seriously, it's a bittersweet.
- 19:54And what a better way to go out with Dylan Strome of the
- 19:58Washington Capitals. He's like bull like circle on
- 20:02this. Pot.
- 20:02Yeah, exactly. He was I think on our first buy
- 20:05low sell high episode. Probably there and back again.
- 20:09Maybe I just lied, but I feel like he was early on in the in
- 20:13the show. But yeah, Dylan Strome, I mean,
- 20:15he's the centre for Ovie, who is arguably the most exciting
- 20:19player to watch. The stream was myself not.
- 20:21Arguable. On week 6.
- 20:23OK, never mind. That was like two months.
- 20:26Into Did you get into a buy load territory at some point?
- 20:29He might have. Anyways, I'm going to continue
- 20:31speaking. Yeah, Yeah, yeah.
- 20:33I mean, always definitely breaking Gretzky's record this
- 20:34year and by this year, I mean, probably in the coming weeks,
- 20:37which is pretty exciting. And it adds to the height for
- 20:39Strome, who's on the same line feeding him the points.
- 20:42And it's just, like, really increases his value.
- 20:45He's at 1.44 points per game where the last month and he's
- 20:48shooting at about over like a shot more than what he usually
- 20:51does. And in most leagues, he's been
- 20:53about a top 25 player. If you're looking at a total
- 20:55ranks on the season in most of your leagues, I think this is
- 20:58your last chance to capitalize on this before you trade
- 21:00deadlines if they're still open because I still expect them to
- 21:04remain around the point per game player.
- 21:05But that's already just like almost a .5 decrease from what
- 21:07he's doing currently. He's definitely a really good
- 21:10centre to have. He doesn't really, he's not
- 21:12ready to cover your peripherals. So maybe you can get better, an
- 21:15overall better asset, but you can definitely get them for a
- 21:18stud that's currently slumping. I think I mean, Larkin isn't
- 21:22necessarily slumping right now, but I would take Larkin over for
- 21:25sure. If you could get Sebastian Aho,
- 21:27that'd be great. Brayden Point is aiming really
- 21:30high. Tempe, I think was on our bylaw,
- 21:32is still a bylaw currently. I would love to do that swap
- 21:35like that. And I even put Kadri on here who
- 21:37has an elite playoff schedule too.
- 21:39And I think Strum has just been overall better.
- 21:42Kadri shoots significantly more. But I think the point is just
- 21:44such a big difference. You can probably get that done.
- 21:47I think the only one that I would just rather strong.
- 21:51I would take Strong over Quadra, I think.
- 21:54Really. I think so.
- 21:55OK, but I love the others because just because I think.
- 22:00The point describes you probably gets more points like slightly
- 22:03like .1 or .2 points. That's it.
- 22:06I mean if if strong gets a point per game, Kadri gets what like
- 22:08point 8.75? Yeah yeah yeah.
- 22:12But Kadri like over double s him in in shots.
- 22:14Yeah, like triples him in shots. Yeah, that's pretty significant.
- 22:17That's fair. That's fair.
- 22:18Yeah. No, you're right.
- 22:19I mean like Stroma side tangent, I don't understand how strong
- 22:23averages under two shots a game. It's crazy.
- 22:25Yeah, it's. Like 60 minutes he's got.
- 22:26Crazy ice time. Why?
- 22:27How would the audacity to shoot when you have over on your line?
- 22:31Yeah, doesn't break the record. Just absorbs all the.
- 22:35Shots on goal. Have an empty net now, I'm gonna
- 22:38pass it. Over that for sure.
- 22:40But even when you're not in this not an empty net like they're
- 22:43all programmed like where's over, Yeah.
- 22:44Exactly that's what I'm saying No I do like the targets and
- 22:50Kadri is that's one like I think you gotta think about depending
- 22:53on league settings and everything but realistically
- 22:55Lark and Aho point Kempe all would rather.
- 22:58Overstrom for sure. Yeah, I agree with everything
- 23:01you said. And I think that targets might
- 23:03be a bit of a stretch, honestly, with how much I'd rather them
- 23:06overstrom, but Strong has been really good, so so who knows.
- 23:09But I think Audrey's the most reasonable one.
- 23:12Kadri unkempt, I think are the ones that could get done the
- 23:14most point. Oho and Larkin I think are just
- 23:17too, too much of A like a tier above Strong.
- 23:20We would have to be Strong plus to get done, but I think if you
- 23:22can get them done, they're huge wins.
- 23:24Yeah, for sure, for sure. OK, I'm gonna move on to my
- 23:30cell. Hi.
- 23:32Hill, 21. Jimmy Absolutely.
- 23:38It's the only episode. All right.
- 23:43I don't really know what else to do to lead up to it.
- 23:46Sprays more. It's Brad Marsh.
- 23:51You could say his name, right? Brad Marshall, Brad Robert
- 23:59Summer No. So it's it is Brad Marshawn of
- 24:04the Boston Bruins. Of team.
- 24:06Canada. I love when.
- 24:08It's golden. Boston.
- 24:10Yeah, it's true. I love when the Boston answers
- 24:13are pronounce his name. It's, they say, Moshang.
- 24:17I love it. It's great.
- 24:19It's great. Well, the Boston Announcer
- 24:21actually listens to our podcast. Yeah, could you imagine?
- 24:24He's gonna shut us out. On yeah, imagine he's like.
- 24:28Standard. Boom, roasted.
- 24:32All right, so Brad Marchand over this week, it's Matt.
- 24:39Do you know the? Yes, I do.
- 24:42Actually, I can't say this on the pod.
- 24:44It's about the movie Ted. We'll get into that out there.
- 24:48So Brad Marshall has been on an absolute tear as of late.
- 24:52He's been a total stud. I think the outcomes with him
- 24:55for the rest of the season are twofold. 1, he stays in Boston,
- 24:59which has a not great week 22 to 24 playoff schedule, or he would
- 25:04get traded to a team. And I think he's the typical
- 25:08type of player to go to a new team and not succeed there, just
- 25:12to be blunt. About it.
- 25:13You think that about every player all season?
- 25:16Trades just don't. Work listen, they they don't
- 25:19often work when they do they're they're huge.
- 25:22But Miko Rantanen is a notch above Marshawn and.
- 25:28Look how much that's being polite.
- 25:30Many notches and look how important the landing spot is.
- 25:33So realistically, I mean, it would have to be the perfect
- 25:35fit, but there's a huge risk there.
- 25:37And I just think that Boston is not a great playoff schedule and
- 25:40they've been performing amazingly because of Pasta.
- 25:42So I just think that all signs point towards some negative
- 25:46regression from Marshall. Used to be a fantasy stud in
- 25:49Bangor leagues with well over a point per game top penalty
- 25:52minutes. He's on fire right now.
- 25:53Yeah, he's amazing, great shots on goal, but he has not had that
- 25:57going for him for the past three years.
- 25:59He's only about .8 points per game on the season because of
- 26:02his recent surge of scoring 10 points in his last eight games.
- 26:05Moving forward, I think you can get a lot of value for Marshall,
- 26:09especially because of his reputation, and it would make a
- 26:12lot of sense to trade him now for someone with a better
- 26:15playoff schedule. I think you can easily get most
- 26:18of the guys that I'm about to mention for Marshall and trades.
- 26:22So campaign may be a little difficult.
- 26:26Batherson, I think is realistic. And then we got Peterka,
- 26:30Caulfield, Dustin Wolf. I wanted to put like a nice kind
- 26:34of goalie player thing and then Lane Hudson plus.
- 26:40What do you think the plus is? I said.
- 26:41The plus is mostly carrying in that one.
- 26:43Really like you just. I don't know.
- 26:46It's tough. What do you what do you think,
- 26:47Josh? Lane, Hudson and Slovenski.
- 26:49Yeah, you can get that. Yeah, yeah.
- 26:51And Nancy, good trade. Cool, Yeah.
- 26:53What about the other? Yeah, no, I think this is a
- 26:58great, great tell high, like you said, also with the the fantasy
- 27:01schedule, I will say I really don't see him getting treated.
- 27:04I know there's been a lot of rumors about it, but he's so
- 27:07like, yeah, he's the captain and he just I think especially
- 27:10having like like Patrice Bergeron there for so long,
- 27:13really instilled in at least like the older guys like
- 27:15Marshall, like that kind of like value of like staying with the
- 27:18same team, especially like the Bruins and being kind of like
- 27:21that guy. So I really, I really don't
- 27:23think he gets traded, but I don't think he stays this hot
- 27:27either. So I still think he's a cell
- 27:28high regardless of if he gets traded or not.
- 27:30I like all your targets and I think I think most of these get
- 27:34done. I think you get, so I think you
- 27:36can easily get Batherson. I think that's a great one.
- 27:39Kempe I think you could get and that's another great one, but
- 27:41that one's probably the toughest.
- 27:42Cofield is similar to Batherson. They're both great players who
- 27:45are underperforming right now and would be a big win.
- 27:48Peterka, you can get more than Peterka for Marshall for sure,
- 27:51and I think that's great. Would you do that though?
- 27:53Would you rather Patrico from Marshall?
- 27:55I. I'd probably do the playoffs
- 27:58the. Difference.
- 27:59Yeah, that's why like. I put it yeah, yeah, I'd
- 28:01probably take Marshall for Patrico, one for one, the cause
- 28:04even though like they're. Only recovered.
- 28:06But they're only has one game on Marshall in the playoffs.
- 28:09So it's not like that big of a difference.
- 28:11But I would take Peterka plus for Marshall for sure.
- 28:15Obviously depending on what the plus is.
- 28:16But but yeah. So then Dustin Wolf is an
- 28:19interesting goalie one. I would take him for sure,
- 28:21depending on what your team needs.
- 28:22And then he said the lane Hudson, like that's another one
- 28:24like Patterico where you can get an addition, you know, anti soti
- 28:28cell highs. Is that like you need to make
- 28:29sure you're selling high with them, right?
- 28:31You don't wanna be like you don't wanna sell him as if he's
- 28:33not playing like a beast. You wanna sell him because he's
- 28:35playing like, yeah, that's why I like some of these targets, like
- 28:37a lot more than others. But regardless, I think you can
- 28:39get any of these done. Yep.
- 28:42OK. So thank you to all for joining
- 28:45us for the last Bilo Sahai. Kevin's crying.
- 28:49Crying. Yeah, the Week 20 bylaws.
- 28:53Not to buy. Anymore.
- 28:54So this is gonna. Be like what am I doing here?
- 28:57Well, maybe listen if the fans like him and we just keep doing
- 28:59buy low, sell high. Yeah.
- 29:01Yeah, exactly. Actually buy them or so.
