  What is this? An iced coffee with caramel,

  mind you. My God, she decided.

  She. Wants to go and snort it up

  because that's her addiction. Yes, so she started it, she said

  in junior college. Someone dared her to snort up a

  fruity drink and she said that she could taste the fruit more

  than if she would have just drank it normally.

  She also got a little buzzy in the head.

  And immediately though, like it goes from a prank like a joke to

  And so he goes back, gets her her drink and she goes as

  there, take off straw in there and snorts it.

  Right in front of her. Date didn't say a damn.

  But that's the thing. After five years, you think this

  And the doctor's like, hey, this could be really dangerous.

  Stuck in your windpipe, she can get an infection.

  God forbid she gets an infection because that's really, really

  dangerous. But she's like, OK, great,

  continues to. Yes, she she says.

  I've cut down. But she's frying.

  But does that mean you're eating food normally?

  Because it's not like she didn't eat food normally, right?

  For most of her life. This has only been the past five

  But then again, it's an addiction.

  It, it upset me when I read it, but Tamisha Beauchamp, she had

  cerebral palsy. She was 20.

  She was at home with her family. It was 2020.

  So it was in the middle of the pandemic.

  It was summer of 2020. It was, but she was having
• 5:32
  trouble breathing. And so they call 911, the EM TS
• 5:35
  show up and they, after some time, pronounce her dead.

  Then she sent to the Funeral Home.
• 5:44
  Straight to the Funeral Home. They unzip the body bag.
• 5:49
  And she wakes up gasping for air.
• 5:51
  She's alive. She's alive and she was already
• 5:54
  breathing. Her eyes were open and she was
• 5:56
  gasping for breath inside of inside.
• 5:59
  Of the bag. They rushed her to the hospital,

  but two months later she passed away.

  Yes, See, OK. So there's a lot of questions I

  have on this one, so many questions.

  My first is how do you pronounce her dead at the scene and what
• 6:17
  they had done, which I do know that this is not uncommon to
• 6:21
  call the ER and talk to a doctor for whatever reason you need
• 6:25
  assistance, you need whatever, but the doctor is the one who
• 6:30
  pronounced Tamisha dead. Without even being in the room.

  How does that happen? Exactly.
• 6:36
  I need someone to explain this. I literally I need you to
• 6:41
  explain this because if you're not at the scene, you can't see
• 6:44
  the physical condition she is in.

  You can't hear it. Like all these senses that you
• 6:48
  rely on to diagnose her or help her, right?

  You were like over the phone. Go ahead and call.

  It like what? Because I was reading and it

  said that she was declared dead based on real time medical data

  including heartbeat and breathing.

  So the EMT's had to communicate that to this doctor, but the EM

  TS are trained to be able to pronounce someone having passed

  away. Like I don't understand.

  Why they weren't able? To do it exactly, and why the

  doctor had to do it who was not even looking at her.
• 7:15
  Yeah, wasn't even in the room, so that's another one.

  But also how traumatizing to wake up in a body bag you don't
• 7:25
  know where you are, your support system that you know.
• 7:28
  Is gone. And then you're just breathe.

  She was. Having trouble breathing before.
• 7:35
  Oh, she lost consciousness. Oh my God.

  And then you wake up and you're in a body bag.

  Let's be so thrilled. That's terrifying.

  Absolutely terrifying, especially like, like I said,

  she had a very secure like her parents, her mother, father, you
• 7:50
  know, she's had this thing going on at home and now you wake up
• 7:52
  here. Exactly.

  And so after she passes away, her family has to go through
• 7:57
  over five years of litigation to be able to have them take
• 8:02
  responsibility because they were trying to hide they were.

  Trying to. Fight it anyway.

  Governmental immunity. I get why it's there, but the

  nerve of you knowing that there's things that could have
• 8:14
  been done. They consulted multiple medical
• 8:16
  professionals as well and they determined that if they she

  would have gone to the hospital from her home immediately, she
• 8:22
  would have lived. It was the trip that she had in
• 8:26
  the body bag. Exactly with I don't know how
• 8:28
  breathing, how do you? Even breathing with it like you
• 8:31
  know. So nothing can ever you can't
• 8:34
  really put a dollar amount on somebody's, you know, you.

  Can't. She was.

  Fine, the parents were finally awarded 3.25 million after

  fighting for five years. I'll take.

  My daughter back over your million like I you know it's

  heartbreaking and I don't like how it might have been possible

  due to her condition how they might have not cared or
• 8:57
  neglected her in some way. You know, because there's.

  When you think about people who are neglected in in, you know,

  with something going on with them, whether it medically just

  pain levels, tolerance, Black people, people of color, people

  who are disabled, queer people, you know, there is a standard of

  what they think everybody should act like.

  And if you don't, then maybe we don't know how to treat you as

  well. And so this really, really

  pissed me off when I read about this story.

  I read about Tamisha. I want to keep saying her name

  because absolutely, you know, in all of the articles, they were

  like, you know, identifying her by her disability or by what

  happened to her. And so I'm like, no, her name is

  So I really, really, really, if we have any medical

  professionals, EMTs who are watching this just like.

  How does this happen first of? All and how did is someone
