- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the Astrology for Beginners podcast.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: I'm your host, Stefanie Kate Boucher, and I am so glad you're here.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: This is the podcast for you if you've ever been curious about astrology,
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: if you've wanted to understand your natal chart or make sense of what's happening in
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: the sky,
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: but maybe it's felt overwhelming, complicated, or hard to know where to begin.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: My goal here is to break things down in a way that's clear,
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: grounded,
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: and completely usable in real life so that over time,
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: you begin to understand your own chart and the language of the stars.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for being here and sharing your time with me.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Hello everyone and welcome back to Astrology for Beginners.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: We are here for another all new episode and this week we have a full moon in Aquarius.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Depending on where you're listening this may be approaching or happening
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: or has recently happened but it is on Wednesday morning around 10 30 between 10 30
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: and 11 eastern time and
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: If you've been paying attention to Astrology Online,
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: you may have already heard some pretty intense discussion around this one.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: And I gotta tell ya, I don't think people are wrong to flag this one.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: It is rather historic.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: It is powerful.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: It's rare.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: And it's most certainly going to be fairly transformative,
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: collectively speaking, and for some of us, at least, individually.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: There are some pretty good reasons why people are paying so much attention to this full moon.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: But as we talk about A lot on this show,
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: significant astrology doesn't automatically mean dramatic astrology.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: An unusual planetary configuration doesn't necessarily mean something dramatic is
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: going to happen.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: But it also really isn't just any full moon in Aquarius either, right?
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And I think the impact of it is going to be much more lasting than most full moons,
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: even if the full impact isn't noticeable for some time into the future.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Because sometimes that happens, right?
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: We don't always feel the effects of an astrological event right on the day.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Sometimes the event can just be more symbolic of a change already in motion
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: or that's going into motion.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: So at the moment of the full moon, the sun is almost exactly conjunct Jupiter in Leo.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Jupiter is in a kazemi with the sun or sitting right in the heart of the sun at the same degree.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: This is a moment of renewal for Jupiter, the start of a brand new Jupiter cycle.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Meanwhile,
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: the moon is going to be in a conjunction with Pluto and Aquarius and
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: the entire full moon opposition,
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: because a full moon is always an opposition,
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: connects into this remarkable configuration that's,
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: you know, been forming between the outer planets plus Jupiter.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: This is the much talked about Barbo's basket that everyone has been discussing
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: with all of the outer planets in the early degrees of their respective signs,
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: creating a basket or cradle-like formation and creating really strong energy
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: for collective growth and change.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: So today I want to talk more about what makes this full moon unusual.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: What it may be illuminating for us personally,
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: in addition to collectively,
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: and why I think there's actually quite a bit of possibility contained
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: within this powerful little bit of astrology.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: But before we do that, I just want to cover a few housekeeping items.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: First, a lot of what I'm talking about today is very geometric,
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: very specific, and a little hard to visualize on your own.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: So in the show notes,
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: I have placed a link to a chart on Astro-Seek for this particular full moon.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: And if you were not driving and are able to look at that from time to time
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: as you listen, that would be helpful, probably.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: If not, if you are driving or can't look at it right now,
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: I would at least look at it when you can because all of this is going to make
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: a lot more sense with a visual cue.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: Also, I want to remind all of you that I now offer a paid subscription on Substack.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: And while this weekly podcast remains free,
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: you can get a lot more from me if you want to by signing up for either the free
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: or paid version.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: But with the paid version,
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: you get extra stuff like a bonus podcast every month,
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: weekly astrology posts, and forecasts with rising sign info.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: So I'd love to see you over there if this appeals to you.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: And I'll give you the info again at the end of the episode,
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: and you can also link to me there in the show notes.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: You'll also find a link in the notes that will take you Okay,
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: let's talk about the full moon in Aquarius.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: We can start with the basics here.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: First,
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: What is an Aquarius full moon, right?
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Let's just really start with the basics.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: A full moon happens when the sun and moon oppose one another in the sky.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: So when we have a full moon in Aquarius,
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: the moon is in Aquarius and the sun is directly across from it in Leo.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Aquarius full moons happen during Leo season because Aquarius is what opposes Leo.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: Every full moon Always has the moon in the opposite sign as the sun.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: It's an opposition between the sun and the moon, right?
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: And so every full moon asks us in some way to become conscious of a polarity.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: That's what oppositions are about, is polarity and looking at two sides of an issue.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Neither sign is ever better or worse.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: Or neither sign is the good guy or the bad guy in these scenarios.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: We're just being asked to see both sides of an axis
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: and understand how they're operating together.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: Now, the Leo-Aquarius axis is often described as the individual versus the collective, right?
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: Or individual expression versus the collective.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: Leo is personal, right?
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: It's associated with individual creativity,
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: individual joy,
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: self-expression,
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: courage,
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: visibility of you as yourself,
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: and the things in life that light us up and make us feel most alive.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: Aquarius, on the other hand, is kind of the opposite of individual expression, sort of.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: It's associated with groups and communities,
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: organizations,
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: friendships,
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: and networks of people,
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: social structures, ideas, freedom and equality, innovation, and the future.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: The future is represented by Aquarius.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: So while Leo asks us to find and do what lights us up just for ourselves
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: and our own enjoyment of life,
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: Aquarius asks us to consider something larger than ourselves.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: So it brings in questions like, where do I belong?
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: What am I contributing to my communities?
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: What do I want to contribute?
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: What am I doing or creating with other people?
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: Where do we as a group want to go or be?
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: And of course, both signs have their shadows.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: They all do.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: Leo can become overly invested in getting attention or applause or recognition
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: for things.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: You know, maybe in today's day and age, you know, you'd say likes or followers or something.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: And this sign can confuse sometimes authentic self-expression with being special
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: or wanting other people to see you as special.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: Aquarius can become so aloof and detached from the personal side of life
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: that it loses touch with emotions or with the heart.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: It's a very cerebral sign and very intellectually focused.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: And although Aquarius is associated with individuality and independence...
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: Even eccentricity, right?
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: There's kind of an interesting paradox here,
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: you know, because sometimes we can become really conformist.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Within the groups that we belong to or identify with, right?
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Like we become aware or hyper aware even of what other people like us are supposed to think.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: We see this a lot, especially in the political sphere, right?
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: In the cultural sphere right now.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: We are aware of what people like us are supposed to think.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: We know what our community approves of.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: we might know which opinions or viewpoints will keep us feeling accepted and loved
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: within our groups and which ones might get us pushed outside the circle.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: So one question that I think belongs to the Leo-Aquarius axis as a unit is,
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: you know, how do I belong to Right.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: Without abandoning myself.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: That's what the Leo Aquarius axis as a whole kind of asks of us.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: How do I participate in this larger thing without losing myself along the way
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: and just blending too much into the group?
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: It's like you want this nice balance of both.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: That's a major question.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: And I think that that's something that comes up with an Aquarius full moon always.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: Now, because in this full moon, Jupiter is sitting right in the heart of the sun, right?
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: The full moon occurs at six degrees of Leo and Aquarius and Jupiter is at six degrees of Leo.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: So in other words,
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: Jupiter is essentially sitting right on top of the sun at the exact moment of
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: the full moon, right?
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: And that is...
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: It's an extraordinary amplification of everything happening here.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: Jupiter expands whatever it touches.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: It makes things bigger.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: It magnifies everything.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: But Jupiter isn't just about making everything turn into more.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: Jupiter is associated with growth,
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: with possibility,
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: confidence,
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: our beliefs,
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: our perspectives,
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: making meaning of things,
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: making meaning of life, and our ability to sort of imagine a bigger, larger horizon.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: This is ultimately a planet of optimism and possibility.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: Of course, Jupiter can exaggerate things too, right?
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: It does exaggerate things.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: It can tend to overdo things.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: It can inflate our expectations or make something seem bigger or more important or,
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: you know, more possible than it actually is.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: It can make us overconfident and it can make us assume that things will work out
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: without actually considering how it's actually going to work out.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: That's what Saturn is really good at, right?
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: Jupiter, not quite as much.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: So you may feel some pretty big things around the full moon.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: But I don't think we should necessarily assume that every feeling or realization
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: that comes up At this time is automatically some kind of,
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: you know, divine truth necessarily.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: It could be, but it doesn't have to be, right?
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: What comes up isn't necessarily concrete truth,
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: but whatever comes up is here to show you what is possible in your life if you take
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: the right next steps.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: So where in your life could you become something bigger,
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: something grander, or where could you become more fulfilled in your life?
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Where could you become more authentic, right?
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: Because this is Leo, right?
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: So where could you become more authentic and more yourself?
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: So this full moon could infuse lots of people with a really strong dose
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: of possibility and optimism around something that's possible.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: But because this is the planet of meaning making,
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: it could also show you something that you really need to see in order
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: to move forward well, right?
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: I would think about what piece of truth or reality you haven't noticed yet
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: or maybe something you've been ignoring, right?
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: What might you have overlooked?
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: Is there something you can no longer ignore or dismiss or justify any longer?
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: What have you outgrown or what is no longer sustainable?
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: Or what reality really needs to be reckoned with here?
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've realized that you've outgrown a situation that used to feel just fine.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've been making yourself smaller
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: because being fully yourself would require changing something else.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've been doing something in your life that is ready to end,
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: a pattern that's ready to end, a situation that's ready to end.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: This can be something external or something internal.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: And if you're honest in the reckoning, what then becomes possible?
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: What new beginning is possible if you get really honest?
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Sometimes having a sense of possibility can come from realizing that What it is
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: that needs to be released.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: So this is Jupiter and the Sun in Kazemi and Leo, right?
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: But now, in opposition to this, we have Pluto over with the Moon.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: While the Sun is sitting with Jupiter and Leo, the Moon is sitting with Pluto in Aquarius.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: Pluto is about four degrees of Aquarius,
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: so this isn't nearly as exact as that Sun, Jupiter, Kazemi, but it is...
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: Of course, close enough to be part of this opposition.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: And Pluto changes the tone.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Pluto takes us underneath the surface.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: It's associated with transformation, power,
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: attachment,
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: obsessions and compulsions,
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: endings and beginnings, buried emotional material, deep psychological truth.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: And Pluto is kind of,
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: you know, the things we'd sometimes rather not look at or don't look at that often.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: It's the raw emotional material of life.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: And especially given that full moons can bring in,
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: all full moons can bring in realizations or they illuminate things, right?
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: This can be about bringing something buried in Up to the surface
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: or letting something that's been in the dark be seen in the light.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: When Pluto is strongly involved in a full moon,
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: something may become suddenly undeniable or unable to ignore.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: And because this is happening in Aquarius,
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: I think some of the most interesting things to think about here would have to do
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: with belonging.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: This might be a question or questions around feeling into where it is you belong.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: Have you outgrown a friendship or friendships?
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Have you outgrown a community?
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: Have you outgrown an identity, right?
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Or especially with Jupiter in the mix of this opposition, have you outgrown a certain belief?
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: Is there somewhere in your life where you're trying to maintain a sense of belonging
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: and By compromising yourself or compromising your values.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: Have you become so focused on an idea or a mission or a group or a particular hope
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: for the future that you've held on to
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: that you've stopped considering your own self-expression
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: or what's really making you happy or not?
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: Now, there could also be another side to this.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: Conversely,
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: I would ask yourself if you have convinced yourself somewhere
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: that you are just super duper independent and don't need anyone.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: Is that really independence?
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: Or is it self-protection?
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: Masquerading as independence.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: And by the way,
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: on a more collective level,
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: Pluto in Aquarius is still At the very beginning phases of a many years long process
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: of transforming our collective relationship with groups and networks and technology,
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: with power within the collective,
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: power imbalances within the collective,
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: and the social structures that organize all of our lives.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: So this full moon also really plugs us into something much bigger and So please look
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: when you're not driving.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Uranus has moved into Gemini.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: It's in the early degrees.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: Neptune is in Aries.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: Pluto is in Aquarius.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: And these very slow-moving outer planets are forming harmonious relationships with one another.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Uranus and Neptune are sextile.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: Neptune and Pluto are sextile.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Uranus and Pluto are trine.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: And then Jupiter recently joined the party.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: In Leo, you know,
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: creating this larger basket configuration, this is not everyday astrology, friends.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: These planets move very slowly,
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: which means that when they form relationships with one another,
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: we're looking at processes that unfold collectively and generationally.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: These aren't necessarily transits describing,
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: whether you get a new job on Thursday or whether someone finally texts you back
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: or anything like that.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: Although when they touch your personal planets in your natal chart,
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: they can create some big changes.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: They describe much larger
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: cultural shifts around things like technology
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: or communication or political and social ideologies,
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: social structures, power imbalances, cultural identity.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: And this full moon is going to land inside all of this.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: The Sun and Jupiter and Leo connect harmoniously with Uranus and Neptune
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: while opposing Pluto, right?
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: The Aquarius moon connects with Pluto while making harmonious aspects to Uranus and Neptune.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: So for a moment,
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: the Sun and Moon are two luminaries,
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: and then especially Jupiter, light up this enormous outer planet pattern.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: And I think that's one of the real reasons this full moon feels so significant.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: Something that's been developing slowly in the background becomes visible,
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: becomes more visible, right?
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: Something collective can suddenly be made more personal, too.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: Something we intellectually understand about the world we're living
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: in can become something we actually feel.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: And we may suddenly recognize where it is that we fit into this larger collective story.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Now, just a quick note about all of these trines and sextiles,
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: because I think this could be a good astrology lesson, actually.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: When we see a chart containing a lot of trines and sextiles,
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: these are the soft aspects, it's very tempting to simply call them easy aspects.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: And sometimes they are experienced that way.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: Sometimes they do feel easy.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: But harmonious aspects,
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: the soft aspects,
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: don't necessarily mean that the planets involved become or are going to be gentle.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: The outer planets are powerful forces,
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: and they can show up powerfully under any type of aspect.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: But so-called easy aspects means that energy between planets can flow easily.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: It's a more seamless flow of energy,
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: which is different,
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: I think, than saying that the circumstances they create are easy.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: But the planetary energy, you know, is still the planetary energy.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: Uranus can always disrupt.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: Neptune can always dissolve or confuse.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: Pluto can always transform things.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: Jupiter can always expand something, right?
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: So in an easy aspect or a soft aspect, again,
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: if those planets are cooperating with one another,
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: change may happen very efficiently.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: Rather than changes that are difficult and arguous to implement.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: But changes still change, and change can feel challenging no matter what.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: Humans don't like change that much, even though, you know, they often say they do.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: So, you know,
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: while we're hearing lots about this full moon conjunct Pluto as being kind of,
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: maybe softened by all these harmonious aspects within the basket,
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: I kind of tend to think of it as an energy that has...
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: Lots of room for movement energetically rather than the energy getting stalled somewhere.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: Things come up or things,
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: get illuminated and then, you know, they can more easily click into place, right?
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: Something that has been stuck also may begin moving.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: A realization,
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: might lead to another realization,
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: which leads to another realization and another and another.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: An ending is May create room for something new faster than you expected.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of intensity mixed with possibility in this lunation.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: And also,
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: I think it's worth mentioning that the future is a major theme here
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: with this full moon.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: Aquarius is inherently future oriented and Uranus is involved, right?
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: It's also future oriented.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: Pluto is moving through Aquarius.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: Jupiter expands our horizons.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: Neptune is about using our imaginations.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: So there's an enormous amount of future-facing symbolism here, personally and collectively.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: Collectively, this is about recognizing what we as humans want to create.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: There is that society shift, right?
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: But then again,
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: we have this giant Leo Sun sitting with Jupiter in the middle of it,
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: which kind of personalizes the whole lunation a bit.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: There's the personal combining with the collective because Jupiter wants to expand.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: It expands collective horizons.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: It's a social planet, but it also wants to expand our horizons individually, right?
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: So you might start thinking about You know,
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: what it is that you love,
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: what it is that makes you feel alive,
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: what it is that you want to create,
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: what it is that is uniquely yours to contribute to the collective, right?
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: So the universe doesn't really want us to just be passive observers to societal change, right?
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: It wants us to help create it, I think.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: It wants to It
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: wants us to choose participation in how we design the future that's ahead of us.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: And how do we do that?
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: Well,
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: we decide what it is that we value and what it is that we want and what only we have
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: to offer as a gift to the collective of humanity.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: We do it by deciding Which communities we want to belong to or
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: which ones we've outgrown or which community dynamics we've outgrown.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: We decide where we've been giving up our personal expression and then we contribute
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: through authentic self-expression, right?
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: This may be about deciding which version of the future you want to be a part of and
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: then understanding what part of yourself needs leaning into in order for that
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: to happen.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: Okay, also happening at the same time of this full moon,
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: even though it's not part of the lunation itself,
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: but I'm going to talk about it anyway because I still think that
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: the energetic environment it helps to create is significant here.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: Venus in Virgo is almost exactly square Mars in Gemini, the same degree of their signs.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: We're talking about an orb of only a few minutes.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: This feels like astrology that leans a little more immediately personal to me,
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: although it will likely have larger implications also.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: But, you know, these are personal planets, Mars and Venus.
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: Venus describes what we value,
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: what we enjoy,
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: what we want to receive, what we're attracted to, and what feels worthwhile to us.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: Mars describes action,
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: desire, frustration or anger, and how it is that we go after what we want.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: So when Venus and Mars are in a square,
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: what we value and what we're doing don't necessarily line up all that well.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: What we value and what we're doing are in conflict.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: They don't match.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: I want this, but I'm doing that.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: And doing that is preventing me from having this.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: I know what matters to me, but my time, energy, focus is going somewhere else.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: I want connection in my life, but I'm doing things that prevent real connection.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: I have a change that I want to make in my life,
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: but I keep getting distracted from that goal and doing other things.
- 28:27SPEAKER_00: And because we're dealing with both Virgo and Gemini here,
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: there's a lot of Mercury energy underneath this.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: Both signs are ruled by Mercury, even though they function differently.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: And so Mercury is going to be about thinking,
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: talking, analyzing, comparing, questioning, making up your mind, changing your mind.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: Also arguing can be an element of Mercury.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: So Mercury Realizations or aha moments may happen,
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: but it doesn't necessarily happen as a lightning bolt from the sky, right?
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: These things can be much simpler and much more boring than that in truth, in daily life.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: So possibly,
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: this aspect could come up as a conversation that frustrates you or in the form
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: of something Not going the way you wanted it to or hoped it would or expected it to.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: Or something rubs you the wrong way and just bothers you more than it normally would, right?
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: And that's information for you now.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: Why did this bother me today when it didn't before?
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're frustrated by something you've tolerated a hundred times or
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: a thousand times and instead of just letting it pass right by you,
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: Sometimes that's how a revelation works.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: It's not always some big cataclysmic event or, you know, a lightning bolt moment.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: It can just be an ordinary daily event that hits a little differently.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: Now, another aspect we've got in the mix on this day is Mercury and Cancer squaring Saturn.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: Now, this is a separating square, right?
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: Meaning its potency is waning.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: So I don't think of this as something that's about to happen as much
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: as it is like tying in what's already been building up over many weeks
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: while Mercury was retrograde and we were doing all that self-reflection.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: During that time, you may have had a difficult or even stark realization forming then.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: That's kind of what that retrograde cycle was all about.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: We've talked about this on other episodes.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: There might have been a serious conversation,
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: or you might have felt really limited by something,
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: or maybe you really had to start looking at something realistically instead
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: of idealistically, and it may have felt really heavy.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: And, you know,
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: maybe you're still figuring out what it is you want to do with those realizations
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: that came up.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: And I think in those cases,
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: this full moon may be a chance to get more information about that
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: or more information about what needs to happen now.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: It's like a what now kind of moment.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: I see this thing now.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: Now what do I do?
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: What do I do next?
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: So...
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: What might this full moon actually feel like, right?
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: What are some real world types of thoughts or real world types of revelations
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: that could actually come up for a typical person, right?
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: What does this energy look like in real life?
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: And of course,
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: that part really can depend on what's in your natal chart and
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: where this configuration is hitting and what it's hitting and all of these kinds
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: of things.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: So look at your chart.
- 31:55SPEAKER_00: But some examples of this energy are I think could be something like,
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: you know, I want more than this.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: I'm done settling for less than what I actually want.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: Or I don't actually need these people's approval.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: I'm done seeking it.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: Or these are my people.
- 32:18SPEAKER_00: These are the people I need to be around more.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: Or I've been shrinking myself to make others comfortable.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: I've been dimming my own light and I don't want to do that anymore.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: I've been hanging onto something that doesn't get me closer to the life I actually want.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: I need to let it go.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: I've been so focused on what I think other people expect from me
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: that I don't even know what I want.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: Who am I?
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: What makes me happy?
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: Do I even know?
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: Or I finally understand why I've been so impacted by this situation, circumstance, person, etc.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: I want to do this project or create this thing.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: I should do it.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: Or maybe I can suddenly see a new possibility for my life that I didn't really see before.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: I see a new direction opening up.
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: And yes, you know, Pluto may mean that some of these realizations are uncomfortable.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: Pluto's not that comfortable.
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: They don't have to be.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: These realizations don't have to be uncomfortable, but they could be.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: So if they are, just, you know, don't be surprised.
- 33:34SPEAKER_00: But of course,
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: Jupiter is prominent in this full moon as well,
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: which is a very optimistic sign for us all, right?
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: and I think the combination of the two,
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: this planet of optimism versus this planet of kind of like discomfort, right?
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: Sort of shows us that part of life is learning about how to hold things
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: that are heavy while maintaining your belief in goodness or possibility at
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: the same time.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: It shows us how to grieve closure of some sort while staying optimistic about the future.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: If you want to know where this lunation is happening for you,
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: you'll want to look at your birth chart.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: The full moon itself is happening at six degrees of Aquarius directly opposite
- 34:21SPEAKER_00: the sun and Jupiter at six degrees Leo.
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: So the houses containing Aquarius and Leo will tell you which areas
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: of your life are being lit up with this lunation.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: And if you have planets or important points in your chart around these degrees,
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: you know, I often like to say planets.
- 34:42SPEAKER_00: 5 degrees on either side.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: So that would, I guess, be 1 to 11 degrees.
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: But I think for this instance,
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: because all these outer planets are involved,
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: we tend to keep orbs smaller with outer planets.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: I think we might want to use tighter orbs on this one.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: So if I'd say if you have planets or sensitive points from like Three degrees
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: to eight degrees of fixed signs.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: And the fixed signs being Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, or Taurus, right?
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: Then you may experience this full moon on a much more personal level.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: And generally, the tighter the orb, the more impactful the energy will be.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: So exact aspects are always more potent, more powerful than looser ones.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: Remember with full moons, You don't have to do anything.
- 35:32SPEAKER_00: No preparations are needed or anything like that.
- 35:35SPEAKER_00: You just want to pay attention and remain observant so that you see what's coming up.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: Journaling can be a really great way to reflect on what's actually coming up for you.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: Just jotting down or even making bullets throughout the week about what is happening
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: in your life,
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: what events came up in a day,
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: what conversations you had, what emotions you were feeling, right?
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: Whether anything felt different than it usually would,
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: or if you reacted to something different than you normally would, right?
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: This can be tremendously helpful as an exercise around any big transit, not just this one.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: Okay, that is what I wanted to say for now about the full moon in Aquarius.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: You know, I'd love, love, love, love to know what comes up for you all.
- 36:23SPEAKER_00: I kind of want to do a little experiment to see how this really plays out for people
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: because there's been so much chatter.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: So if something comes up that If you feel related to this full moon
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: or something comes up for you around this time or this week and you want to share
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: that,
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: drop me a comment for the episode and feel free to share where this full moon was
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: in your chart,
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: if it was aspecting any natal planets or points,
- 36:51SPEAKER_00: and drop a line about what actually came up for you.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: I'm super, super curious.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: Okay,
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: I just want to remind you all one more time about my free and paid subscriptions
