- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, much more Mark. Mark Simone. Now, nine till noon weekdays.
- 0:06Speaker 2: On 710WOR.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Well, you know, one of those morning show regulars, Katty
- 0:14Speaker 1: Kay from the BBC, has been reprimanded by the BBC.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Even the left-wing BBC reprimanding her for her anti-Israel nonsense. Apparently,
- 0:28Speaker 1: she referred to.
- 0:30Speaker 1: The genocide that is being committed in Gaza during a
- 0:34Speaker 1: podcast appearance, but good for the BBC, usually way to
- 0:39Speaker 1: the left, but they've actually told her that she is
- 0:42Speaker 1: officially reprimanded. She's a, you know, get away with that
- 0:45Speaker 1: crap on Morning Joe, but it's not up to, as
- 0:48Speaker 1: the BBC says, not up to their standards. She said
- 0:52Speaker 1: it on, she has a podcast with, remember Anthony Scaramucci,
- 0:57Speaker 1: the two of them, one of these amateur podcasts, Scaramucci,
- 1:03Speaker 1: great financially, but always, always desperately trying to be some
- 1:07Speaker 1: kind of media figure. And again, everybody has a podcast.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Every amateur now has a podcast. Your dentist has a podcast.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Your accountant has a podcast. Let's take some calls. Let's
- 1:18Speaker 1: go to Allie in Philadelphia. Allie, how are you doing?
- 1:23Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark. Alice from Philadelphia. Long time visitor. Mark,
- 1:28Speaker 2: I want to comment on the Elizabeth Smart situation. They're
- 1:33Speaker 2: trying to make her a heroine. That girl was able
- 1:38Speaker 2: to leave for the seven months that she had been kidnapped,
- 1:42Speaker 2: but she stayed with that group. And we were in
- 1:45Speaker 2: Utah when all of this had just happened. And they
- 1:50Speaker 2: said the family took in vagrants, and that's who kidnapped her.
- 1:55Speaker 2: So I don't really feel like she's a heroine. but
- 1:58Speaker 2: I keep hearing it advertised, this girl was wonderful. What's
- 2:02Speaker 2: your comment?
- 2:04Speaker 1: I don't know. You're probably right. What were you doing
- 2:06Speaker 1: in Utah?
- 2:08Speaker 2: Oh, we were visiting the center where they have the, oh,
- 2:16Speaker 2: my goodness. Utah's a beautiful city, and we happened to
- 2:20Speaker 2: be there.
- 2:21Speaker 1: All right. Doesn't sound like the most perfect vacation, but okay, but.
- 2:25Speaker 1: If you live in Philadelphia, I guess Utah looks beautiful,
- 2:28Speaker 1: but no, we love Philadelphia. Let's go to Abe in Suffern. Abe,
- 2:31Speaker 1: how are you doing?
- 2:34Speaker 3: Well, the man that's running in Michigan for Senate, Abdul Saeed,
- 2:38Speaker 3: he's lying. He's not a doctor. He keeps saying that
- 2:40Speaker 3: he's a physician, but he's not a licensed physician anyway.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Why does the media keep doing this?
- 2:45Speaker 1: He's technically a doctor. He doesn't practice as a doctor,
- 2:48Speaker 1: but he actually is a doctor.
- 2:50Speaker 3: He never got a license.
- 2:51Speaker 2: He never passed the exam.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I don't think you're following this. He's not a practicing physician,
- 2:56Speaker 1: but he is a doctor. He never. You can't argue
- 3:00Speaker 1: with these people. That's what I always tell you. Don't
- 3:02Speaker 1: argue about politics with anybody. He's technically a doctor. He's
- 3:06Speaker 1: not a physician treating patients, but he is a doctor.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I hate to break it to you. Jill Biden is
- 3:10Speaker 1: technically a doctor. She can use that title. Even though
- 3:14Speaker 1: she's an English teacher at a community college, she can
- 3:17Speaker 1: call herself doctor and he can call himself doctor. Let's
- 3:21Speaker 1: go to Joe in Elmwood Park. Joe, how are you doing?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Good morning, Mark.
- 3:26Speaker 4: I want to change the gears over here. How come
- 3:28Speaker 4: nobody's protesting about taking the statue down Stonewall Jackson?
- 3:33Speaker 2: He helped the slaves after the war.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Where's the statue? Where's the statue?
- 3:39Speaker 3: It was in Richmond, Virginia.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Oh, well, that's probably why nobody's protesting here.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Nobody's protesting about it.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I thought Trump says hands off the statues. Yeah, it's
- 3:49Speaker 1: Stonewall Jackson. Robert E. Lee, maybe you go out there
- 3:53Speaker 1: because we all know the name. Stonewall Jackson, I hate
- 3:55Speaker 1: to break it to you. Kind of forgotten about. Yeah, well.
- 4:02Speaker 1: People get themselves riled up about anything here. Let's go
- 4:05Speaker 1: to Nolan in New Jersey. Nolan, how you doing?
- 4:08Speaker 4: I'm good, Mark.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 4:10Speaker 4: I don't know if you had a chance to watch
- 4:11Speaker 4: The Five last night. I was a little disappointed in
- 4:13Speaker 4: Jesse Waters. He had some suggestions for the cops. that
- 4:18Speaker 4: they could save the woman in Times Square by using
- 4:21Speaker 4: a Spider-Man type net or approaching her from behind and
- 4:25Speaker 4: trying to pistol whip her. I've got to say, I'm
- 4:28Speaker 4: really disappointed.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Maybe he was just trying to be funny. Spider-Man net.
- 4:34Speaker 4: He could be a little bizarre at times.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Well, it's a sense of humor. The Five's a great show.
- 4:40Speaker 1: The cops in Times Square with that crazy lunatic, they
- 4:43Speaker 1: tried the tasers. Kept shooting her with tasers, but she
- 4:47Speaker 1: had her purse in front of her. One hit the purse.
- 4:49Speaker 1: And the ones that hit her, as we discussed earlier,
- 4:53Speaker 1: apparently if you're really fat, the taser is not effective.
- 4:57Speaker 1: The taser has to hit your muscle to do something.
- 5:00Speaker 1: And if you got inches of fat, if you're really fat,
- 5:04Speaker 1: the taser will not get to the muscle. So it
- 5:06Speaker 1: would not be as effective. And that's the problem they
- 5:09Speaker 1: had there. Let's go to Dan in Queens. Dan, how
- 5:12Speaker 1: you doing?
- 5:14Speaker 3: Good, thank you. Listening to Liz speak, Bruce Blakeman could
- 5:17Speaker 3: do a commercial saying that Poco killed more jobs in
- 5:21Speaker 3: New York State with no fracking, no gas drilling on
- 5:25Speaker 3: the largest reserves, no AI data centers.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Well, he has been doing it. He has been running
- 5:32Speaker 1: those commercials. You follow him on Instagram?
- 5:37Speaker 3: No, I don't.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Oh, that's why you got to... Commercials don't go on
- 5:42Speaker 1: TV anymore. They go on social. If you put it on, whatever,
- 5:47Speaker 1: Channel 5, a few hundred thousand people see it. On
- 5:50Speaker 1: his social media, I think he got 62 million views
- 5:54Speaker 1: last month. So that's where all the action is. In fact,
- 5:58Speaker 1: check out Bruce Blakeman's Instagram or Twitter or TikTok or
- 6:03Speaker 1: any of that. But he's got great stuff up there.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Great videos of Hochul. There's Hijab Hochul. I think that's
- 6:10Speaker 1: up there now. Boy, there's a lot of great stuff.
- 6:12Speaker 1: But that's where all the action takes place in political campaigns.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Running a TV commercial really doesn't reach a lot of people.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Running a radio commercial still reaches a lot of people,
- 6:23Speaker 1: much more than television will. But the big action is Instagram, TikTok,
- 6:27Speaker 1: and all that. Blakeman's been campaigning like crazy. And this
- 6:31Speaker 1: isn't the campaign yet. You know, it really doesn't heat
- 6:33Speaker 1: up until after everybody's back from Labor Day. That's where
- 6:37Speaker 1: it really begins. Let's go to Bob in, is it
- 6:41Speaker 1: North Carolina, Bob? Yeah, yeah.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Hey, Mark, how you doing?
- 6:45Speaker 1: Good.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Long-time listener, first-time caller. I just wanted to tell you
- 6:48Speaker 3: I love your show. I retired on Monday, so now
- 6:52Speaker 3: I can listen to you every day. But the only
- 6:55Speaker 3: gripe I have is I love your show. But you
- 6:58Speaker 3: started taking off on Fridays, and I have a problem
- 7:00Speaker 3: with that.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Well, that's just in the summer, and I hate to
- 7:03Speaker 1: break it to you. It's Wednesday. I'm taking off tomorrow
- 7:05Speaker 1: and Friday, two days. Oh, you are?
- 7:08Speaker 3: Okay, well, I just want to tell you, I started
- 7:11Speaker 3: walking a lot, and I listen to you, and it
- 7:13Speaker 3: makes the walk go by a lot quicker.
- 7:14Speaker 1: All right, but after Labor Day, no more Fridays off
- 7:17Speaker 1: after Labor Day. Then it's five days a week.
- 7:20Speaker 3: That's good. I'll work into the rotation, and I really
- 7:22Speaker 3: appreciate it.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I take Fridays off instead of taking a week off.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Instead of taking two weeks.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Yeah, that works. Well, I'm up all the time now, man.
- 7:29Speaker 3: I'm retired as of Monday. I'm 60. Good health. Decided
- 7:33Speaker 3: to just retire and live the rest of my life, man.
- 7:36Speaker 1: No, you do fine. All right. Stay out of trouble, Peter.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Yes, sir. Thank you.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Take care. Yeah, that's why I take Fridays off in
- 7:44Speaker 1: the summer. I don't like to take a week off here.
- 7:46Speaker 1: It's a whole week. It's better to just take a
- 7:48Speaker 1: bunch of Fridays off.
- 7:50Speaker 4: I know.
- 7:50Speaker 1: It happened the other day. I took the Friday off,
- 7:52Speaker 1: and I'm walking around... I was in Long Island, actually.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I was walking around Garden City, and a guy comes
- 7:58Speaker 1: up to me and goes, I wake up every morning
- 7:59Speaker 1: to listen to you. You're not there. You're just walking around.
- 8:02Speaker 1: You're not doing anything. Get to work. So after Labor Day,
- 8:06Speaker 1: it's back to five days a week. Hey, when we
- 8:09Speaker 1: come back, Ann Coulter will be with us next. Lots
- 8:12Speaker 1: to talk to her about in just a moment on 710WOR.
