- 0:00For the next little bit of time, you're in the basement.
- 0:03We call ourselves Basement Dwellers.
- 0:05I'm glad you are here. You are the most important part
- 0:09of Ron's Basement. You're the most important part
- 0:11of a lot of things. So give yourself a little pat on
- 0:14the back. And if you want to do something
- 0:16nice, give this a thumbs up. That helps us get the word out
- 0:19to more and more people. And do you know who Michael
- 0:21Oliver is? This was on King World News,
- 0:25which I'm not a regular reader of, but I thought this was just
- 0:28a something that that I I know I've never thought of and I
- 0:32would venture to say likely you've never thought of and it
- 0:36will have the biggest impact on the silver price and gold price.
- 0:40Absolutely. Michael Oliver laid out the
- 0:48facts. Right now.
- 0:49Are we having a banking crisis? How will that impact the silver
- 0:53price and gold price? OK.
- 0:55I'm going to do my best to simplify for you what he said
- 0:58and then we're going to share our thoughts about this.
- 1:01We know right now if you looked at the bank stocks lately, if
- 1:05you looked at Citibank, if you looked at Bank of America, U.S.
- 1:09bank, any bank stock is down, down, down, some of them 30%,
- 1:14some of them 20%, some of them 4050%.
- 1:19It's almost like they're a junior mine, a junior gold
- 1:21mining stock. Bank stocks are showing us right
- 1:25now that there's trouble in the banking sector.
- 1:29People are getting out of the bank stocks.
- 1:31People are selling their bank stocks.
- 1:34Why would they be doing that? Because we know there is huge
- 1:38stress, huge crisis right now in the banking sector.
- 1:41Interest rates being so high are put is putting huge stress on
- 1:47the banks. Unrealized losses I just read
- 1:50last night like they have another 140 billion in
- 1:53unrealized losses. They're real, they just don't
- 1:57have to recognize them. So maybe unrecognized is the
- 2:00best way to say it. Those bonds they bought three
- 2:03and four years ago for $100,000 each are now only worth 70 or 60
- 2:09or 78,000 each. The banks are in trouble.
- 2:13Oh, and there's this other little problem called commercial
- 2:16real estate that's blowing up on the banks as well.
- 2:20The bank stocks are going down. That's a good quantitative
- 2:25numbers pure, not arguable way to say that the market is
- 2:30recognizing big trouble in the banks.
- 2:33And your bride be asking what does this have to do with silver
- 2:35and gold? Let me tell you something.
- 2:37Banks are in big, big trouble. Banks tell the future.
- 2:41Take a deep breath. Think about that.
- 2:44The bank stocks are telling the future and gold and silver tell
- 2:49the future of the banks. Gold and silver are the oldest
- 2:53markets in the world. People were with beards hanging
- 2:58down to their belly buttons, were trading gold and silver
- 3:01thousands of years ago. They are the oldest and the
- 3:04wisest, the oldest and the wisest markets in the world.
- 3:08Like you, basement dweller, right?
- 3:10We're all old and wise. Some of us are young.
- 3:13We're all young at heart. But gold tells the future.
- 3:19OK, the banks are telling the future of what's going on in the
- 3:21banking sector, but gold and silver very likely are telling
- 3:26the future of the banks. And when gold and silver are
- 3:30puking, sorry to use that word like they did.
- 3:36They're telling us there's trouble in the banking sector.
- 3:40We'd like to thank our sponsor, First Mining Gold.
- 3:43They're a Canadian gold developer with two world class
- 3:47projects in Canada. They also have a handful of
- 3:51other projects. When you total up all the gold
- 3:55in their resources, it comes to over 12 million oz.
- 4:00They're worth checking out. I'll put a link to the company's
- 4:03website in the description below.
- 4:06Now now, what does this have to do with the price of gold and
- 4:09silver, you may ask? It has everything to do with it
- 4:13because the Federal Reserve. And if you look back at 2007 and
- 4:182008, the Federal Reserve is not going to let the banking sector
- 4:25collapse. And the same thing happened back
- 4:28in O seven, O 8, right? First, the bank stocks went
- 4:31down, the regular market, right? We got the fantastic seven, the
- 4:34S&P 500. It's been going down, but it's
- 4:37not crashed. But the banks have crashed.
- 4:40As soon as the banks get in real trouble that that will be when
- 4:46the Fed will pivot, we think, oh, the whole market's got to
- 4:50crash. The whole market.
- 4:51No, it's going to be the banks. That'll happen 1st.
- 4:55And gold and silver right now are saying things are going to
- 4:59get much worse for the banks. And when it does get even, just
- 5:03a little more worse for the banks, Jerome Powell in the
- 5:06Federal Reserve is going to pivot, officially pivot.
- 5:10And that is going to be the absolute right most supportive
- 5:17unfortunately we have to deal with the Wizard of Oz make
- 5:20believe world of the Federal Reserve and all that crazy
- 5:22stuff. But that will be the most
- 5:24absolute positive environment that you yes you could ever ask
- 5:29for for the precious metals prices.
- 5:33Remember what happened in the 70s?
- 5:35Guys were doing it right now. We're so when this Fed pivot
- 5:39pivot, if it happens and it's going to happen because gold
- 5:44tells the future of the banks and silver, it's going to be off
- 5:48to the races. Do you do you want some good
- 5:53news? I'm here to deliver some good
- 5:55news this morning from the basement, my friends.
- 5:57Do you want some good news? Look back at what happened in
- 6:00the 70s with gold and silver because that's a very similar
- 6:06environment to where we are today.
- 6:09Don't forget say thank you to our sponsor Pinbex if you want
- 6:13to get your gold and silver before it possibly takes off
- 6:16because I don't have a crystal ball, don't make any financial
- 6:19decisions based upon what I say. I'm just sharing with you what I
- 6:24think I see happening in the future based upon what I know
- 6:28are facts. Pinbex Pi MB EX online bullion
- 6:32dealer. I use them.
- 6:34I did my research on them. I would encourage you to do your
- 6:38research on them as well. To me, trustworthiness,
- 6:43selection, price, they were the best.
- 6:46So if you're out looking for some metal, check out pin backs.
- 6:49Because in the 70s, in the 70s, let's just say silver from its
- 6:55low to its high was up like 30 or more.
- 6:58Time 30, not 30%. Thirty times gold.
- 7:04Basically the same thing 20 times during that period.
- 7:09It can happen again. But what do you think about
- 7:12this? What do you think?
- 7:14The financial situation of the United States in the 70s, The
- 7:19political situation in the United States in the 70s, The
- 7:24world, geopolitical situation in the world in the 1970s?
- 7:30I would say that now compared to then, things are in much worse
- 7:35shape overall, right? I mean, come on, we've got $33
- 7:40trillion in debt. I'm right.
- 7:43We know things are more screwed up now, right now than they ever
- 7:47were in the 70s. Think about this.
- 7:50What is this? How does this make you feel?
- 7:52How does this make you feel? OK, from 1970 to 2020, if my
- 7:58mathematicals are correct, that's 50 years.
- 8:02The United States basically enjoyed Greenfield, sunny skies,
- 8:09unicorns and rainbows. We ruled the world, right?
- 8:13We, we were the the world power. We had all the money.
- 8:17Everybody used the dollar. Everybody relied on the United
- 8:20States of America. We won the Cold War.
- 8:23We did, You know, excuse me. Overall, it was a very agreeable
- 8:30environment for the United States of America. 1970, a year
- 8:35I was born through 2020. But even in that green, green,
- 8:40grass, blue sky environment, what happened to the dollar?
- 8:43I'd say the US dollar probably lost half of its value during
- 8:46that period, right? Is that not correct?
- 8:50So let's just forget about up to today, 2020 to 2023, go out the
- 8:55next 50 years. Do you think we're going to be
- 8:58in such a conducive environment for the United States?
- 9:02I would argue no, no, absolutely not.
- 9:07It's not going to be such a blue sky Greenfield Unicorn.
- 9:11No. I'd say we got storm clouds,
- 9:15We've got a dried out field of Kudzow or whatever that weed is
- 9:21called. We are going into the next 50
- 9:23years, which appear to be much more challenging and we have all
- 9:27this debt, right? What's going to happen to the
- 9:30dollar in the future? I mean, it did crappy, excuse my
- 9:35French under the previous what was very conducive environment?
- 9:39What's going to happen when the environment's not so conducive?
- 9:42You know what's going to happen in real terms?
- 9:44Real. And this makes me mad.
- 9:47This makes me mad. OK, in real terms, your dollar
- 9:51is going to go down in value. In real terms, silver and gold
- 9:56are going to do very well. So will Platinum Neal from Neil
- 9:58Han's Dynasty, The Platinum Guru and Real.
- 10:03The real value is going down now.
- 10:06It's going to re blow your mind because hopefully I blew your
- 10:09mind earlier. Because don't forget gold tells
- 10:13the future of the banks. But think think back, think back
- 10:1615 years. OK, the dollar's strong.
- 10:20Why? Why did gold and silver?
- 10:21Why are gold and silver struggling so much over the last
- 10:24couple of years? Over the last few days?
- 10:26Because of a strong dollar. the US, The mighty dollar, the
- 10:31strong dollar. Everyone loves the dollar.
- 10:34I want you to think back and it's true.
- 10:37The DXY, that's how they measure the dollar.
- 10:40The DXY index. Research it sometime.
- 10:43If you don't know what it is, put it into Google.
- 10:45Look at MarketWatch. They got a chart.
- 10:47Go back 15 years. The DXY was at 80 and one O 8
- 10:51the other day. Right.
- 10:53The dollar strong, all right. From 2008 through today, last 15
- 10:59years, it went from 80 all the way up to one.
- 11:02Oh, it's up 30%, The dollar strong.
- 11:05Oh, OK really. Well, let me ask you, if the
- 11:08dollar in those 15 years has gone up 30% in value, why is it
- 11:13that today when I take $100 bill and go to the grocery store, I
- 11:19get half as much as I did with my $100 compared to 15 years
- 11:24ago, right? That's called real value, right?
- 11:28The 80 DXY to 108, that's called relative value relative to a
- 11:33bunch of other crappy six other currencies they compare the
- 11:36dollar to. The real value is how much gas,
- 11:41how much food, how much housing. You know, whatever you're into,
- 11:45how many comic books, how many, oh, Ding Dongs, How many Ding
- 11:49Dongs? Coin shop Chris.
- 11:51Today, he can only get half as many Ding Dongs with his $100,
- 11:57right? Today he can get about 300 Ding
- 11:59Dongs with $100. But I guarantee you, 15 years
- 12:03ago, he could get 600 Ding Dongs with $100.
- 12:07That's the real value. So when they throw out this bulk
- 12:11of pookie about the dollar being strong and that's why gold and
- 12:15silver are down, don't fall for it.
- 12:18That's part of the smoke and mirrors that the Fed and the
- 12:22monitor that they put out there, right?
- 12:24No, what? What has what held its value
- 12:27over that period of time? And even more over thought, you
- 12:31know, silver, gold, everybody. It's Ron from Ron's basement.
- 12:34Live on the log flume. Say hi, girls.
