For the next little bit of time, you're in the basement.
• 0:03
  We call ourselves Basement Dwellers.
• 0:05
I'm glad you are here. You are the most important part
• 0:09
of Ron's Basement. You're the most important part
• 0:11
of a lot of things. So give yourself a little pat on
• 0:14
the back. And if you want to do something
• 0:16
nice, give this a thumbs up. That helps us get the word out
• 0:19
to more and more people. And do you know who Michael
• 0:21
Oliver is? This was on King World News,
• 0:25
which I'm not a regular reader of, but I thought this was just
• 0:28
a something that that I I know I've never thought of and I
• 0:32
would venture to say likely you've never thought of and it
• 0:36
will have the biggest impact on the silver price and gold price.
• 0:40
Absolutely. Michael Oliver laid out the
• 0:48
  facts. Right now.
• 0:49
Are we having a banking crisis? How will that impact the silver
• 0:53
  price and gold price? OK.
• 0:55
I'm going to do my best to simplify for you what he said
• 0:58
and then we're going to share our thoughts about this.
• 1:01
We know right now if you looked at the bank stocks lately, if
• 1:05
you looked at Citibank, if you looked at Bank of America, U.S.
• 1:09
bank, any bank stock is down, down, down, some of them 30%,
• 1:14
some of them 20%, some of them 4050%.
• 1:19
It's almost like they're a junior mine, a junior gold
• 1:21
mining stock. Bank stocks are showing us right
• 1:25
now that there's trouble in the banking sector.
• 1:29
People are getting out of the bank stocks.
• 1:31
People are selling their bank stocks.
• 1:34
Why would they be doing that? Because we know there is huge
• 1:38
stress, huge crisis right now in the banking sector.
• 1:41
Interest rates being so high are put is putting huge stress on
• 1:47
the banks. Unrealized losses I just read
• 1:50
last night like they have another 140 billion in
• 1:53
unrealized losses. They're real, they just don't
• 1:57
have to recognize them. So maybe unrecognized is the
• 2:00
best way to say it. Those bonds they bought three
• 2:03
and four years ago for $100,000 each are now only worth 70 or 60
• 2:09
or 78,000 each. The banks are in trouble.
• 2:13
Oh, and there's this other little problem called commercial
• 2:16
real estate that's blowing up on the banks as well.
• 2:20
The bank stocks are going down. That's a good quantitative
• 2:25
numbers pure, not arguable way to say that the market is
• 2:30
recognizing big trouble in the banks.
• 2:33
And your bride be asking what does this have to do with silver
• 2:35
and gold? Let me tell you something.
• 2:37
Banks are in big, big trouble. Banks tell the future.
• 2:41
Take a deep breath. Think about that.
• 2:44
The bank stocks are telling the future and gold and silver tell
• 2:49
the future of the banks. Gold and silver are the oldest
• 2:53
markets in the world. People were with beards hanging
• 2:58
down to their belly buttons, were trading gold and silver
• 3:01
thousands of years ago. They are the oldest and the
• 3:04
wisest, the oldest and the wisest markets in the world.
• 3:08
  Like you, basement dweller, right?
• 3:10
We're all old and wise. Some of us are young.
• 3:13
We're all young at heart. But gold tells the future.
• 3:19
OK, the banks are telling the future of what's going on in the
• 3:21
banking sector, but gold and silver very likely are telling
• 3:26
the future of the banks. And when gold and silver are
• 3:30
puking, sorry to use that word like they did.
• 3:36
They're telling us there's trouble in the banking sector.
• 3:40
We'd like to thank our sponsor, First Mining Gold.
• 3:43
They're a Canadian gold developer with two world class
• 3:47
projects in Canada. They also have a handful of
• 3:51
other projects. When you total up all the gold
• 3:55
in their resources, it comes to over 12 million oz.
• 4:00
They're worth checking out. I'll put a link to the company's
• 4:03
  website in the description below.
• 4:06
Now now, what does this have to do with the price of gold and
• 4:09
silver, you may ask? It has everything to do with it
• 4:13
because the Federal Reserve. And if you look back at 2007 and
• 4:18
2008, the Federal Reserve is not going to let the banking sector
• 4:25
collapse. And the same thing happened back
• 4:28
in O seven, O 8, right? First, the bank stocks went
• 4:31
down, the regular market, right? We got the fantastic seven, the
• 4:34
  S&P 500. It's been going down, but it's
• 4:37
not crashed. But the banks have crashed.
• 4:40
As soon as the banks get in real trouble that that will be when
• 4:46
the Fed will pivot, we think, oh, the whole market's got to
• 4:50
  crash. The whole market.
• 4:51
No, it's going to be the banks. That'll happen 1st.
• 4:55
And gold and silver right now are saying things are going to
• 4:59
get much worse for the banks. And when it does get even, just
• 5:03
a little more worse for the banks, Jerome Powell in the
• 5:06
Federal Reserve is going to pivot, officially pivot.
• 5:10
And that is going to be the absolute right most supportive
• 5:17
unfortunately we have to deal with the Wizard of Oz make
• 5:20
believe world of the Federal Reserve and all that crazy
• 5:22
stuff. But that will be the most
• 5:24
absolute positive environment that you yes you could ever ask
• 5:29
for for the precious metals prices.
• 5:33
Remember what happened in the 70s?
• 5:35
Guys were doing it right now. We're so when this Fed pivot
• 5:39
pivot, if it happens and it's going to happen because gold
• 5:44
tells the future of the banks and silver, it's going to be off
• 5:48
to the races. Do you do you want some good
• 5:53
news? I'm here to deliver some good
• 5:55
news this morning from the basement, my friends.
• 5:57
Do you want some good news? Look back at what happened in
• 6:00
the 70s with gold and silver because that's a very similar
• 6:06
environment to where we are today.
• 6:09
Don't forget say thank you to our sponsor Pinbex if you want
• 6:13
to get your gold and silver before it possibly takes off
• 6:16
because I don't have a crystal ball, don't make any financial
• 6:19
decisions based upon what I say. I'm just sharing with you what I
• 6:24
think I see happening in the future based upon what I know
• 6:28
are facts. Pinbex Pi MB EX online bullion
• 6:32
  dealer. I use them.
• 6:34
I did my research on them. I would encourage you to do your
• 6:38
research on them as well. To me, trustworthiness,
• 6:43
selection, price, they were the best.
• 6:46
So if you're out looking for some metal, check out pin backs.
• 6:49
Because in the 70s, in the 70s, let's just say silver from its
• 6:55
low to its high was up like 30 or more.
• 6:58
Time 30, not 30%. Thirty times gold.
• 7:04
Basically the same thing 20 times during that period.
• 7:09
It can happen again. But what do you think about
• 7:12
  this? What do you think?
• 7:14
The financial situation of the United States in the 70s, The
• 7:19
political situation in the United States in the 70s, The
• 7:24
world, geopolitical situation in the world in the 1970s?
• 7:30
I would say that now compared to then, things are in much worse
• 7:35
shape overall, right? I mean, come on, we've got $33
• 7:40
  trillion in debt. I'm right.
• 7:43
We know things are more screwed up now, right now than they ever
• 7:47
were in the 70s. Think about this.
• 7:50
What is this? How does this make you feel?
• 7:52
How does this make you feel? OK, from 1970 to 2020, if my
• 7:58
mathematicals are correct, that's 50 years.
• 8:02
The United States basically enjoyed Greenfield, sunny skies,
• 8:09
unicorns and rainbows. We ruled the world, right?
• 8:13
We, we were the the world power. We had all the money.
• 8:17
Everybody used the dollar. Everybody relied on the United
• 8:20
States of America. We won the Cold War.
• 8:23
We did, You know, excuse me. Overall, it was a very agreeable
• 8:30
environment for the United States of America. 1970, a year
• 8:35
I was born through 2020. But even in that green, green,
• 8:40
grass, blue sky environment, what happened to the dollar?
• 8:43
I'd say the US dollar probably lost half of its value during
• 8:46
that period, right? Is that not correct?
• 8:50
So let's just forget about up to today, 2020 to 2023, go out the
• 8:55
next 50 years. Do you think we're going to be
• 8:58
in such a conducive environment for the United States?
• 9:02
I would argue no, no, absolutely not.
• 9:07
It's not going to be such a blue sky Greenfield Unicorn.
• 9:11
No. I'd say we got storm clouds,
• 9:15
We've got a dried out field of Kudzow or whatever that weed is
• 9:21
called. We are going into the next 50
• 9:23
years, which appear to be much more challenging and we have all
• 9:27
this debt, right? What's going to happen to the
• 9:30
dollar in the future? I mean, it did crappy, excuse my
• 9:35
French under the previous what was very conducive environment?
• 9:39
What's going to happen when the environment's not so conducive?
• 9:42
You know what's going to happen in real terms?
• 9:44
Real. And this makes me mad.
• 9:47
This makes me mad. OK, in real terms, your dollar
• 9:51
is going to go down in value. In real terms, silver and gold
• 9:56
are going to do very well. So will Platinum Neal from Neil
• 9:58
Han's Dynasty, The Platinum Guru and Real.
• 10:03
The real value is going down now.
• 10:06
It's going to re blow your mind because hopefully I blew your
• 10:09
mind earlier. Because don't forget gold tells
• 10:13
the future of the banks. But think think back, think back
• 10:16
15 years. OK, the dollar's strong.
• 10:20
Why? Why did gold and silver?
• 10:21
Why are gold and silver struggling so much over the last
• 10:24
couple of years? Over the last few days?
• 10:26
Because of a strong dollar. the US, The mighty dollar, the
• 10:31
strong dollar. Everyone loves the dollar.
• 10:34
I want you to think back and it's true.
• 10:37
The DXY, that's how they measure the dollar.
• 10:40
The DXY index. Research it sometime.
• 10:43
If you don't know what it is, put it into Google.
• 10:45
Look at MarketWatch. They got a chart.
• 10:47
Go back 15 years. The DXY was at 80 and one O 8
• 10:51
  the other day. Right.
• 10:53
The dollar strong, all right. From 2008 through today, last 15
• 10:59
years, it went from 80 all the way up to one.
• 11:02
Oh, it's up 30%, The dollar strong.
• 11:05
Oh, OK really. Well, let me ask you, if the
• 11:08
dollar in those 15 years has gone up 30% in value, why is it
• 11:13
that today when I take $100 bill and go to the grocery store, I
• 11:19
get half as much as I did with my $100 compared to 15 years
• 11:24
ago, right? That's called real value, right?
• 11:28
The 80 DXY to 108, that's called relative value relative to a
• 11:33
bunch of other crappy six other currencies they compare the
• 11:36
dollar to. The real value is how much gas,
• 11:41
how much food, how much housing. You know, whatever you're into,
• 11:45
how many comic books, how many, oh, Ding Dongs, How many Ding
• 11:49
  Dongs? Coin shop Chris.
• 11:51
Today, he can only get half as many Ding Dongs with his $100,
• 11:57
right? Today he can get about 300 Ding
• 11:59
Dongs with $100. But I guarantee you, 15 years
• 12:03
ago, he could get 600 Ding Dongs with $100.
• 12:07
That's the real value. So when they throw out this bulk
• 12:11
of pookie about the dollar being strong and that's why gold and
• 12:15
silver are down, don't fall for it.
• 12:18
That's part of the smoke and mirrors that the Fed and the
• 12:22
monitor that they put out there, right?
• 12:24
No, what? What has what held its value
• 12:27
over that period of time? And even more over thought, you
• 12:31
know, silver, gold, everybody. It's Ron from Ron's basement.
• 12:34
Live on the log flume. Say hi, girls.
