- 0:03Speaker 1: Hi everyone. I am so excited because I'm staring at
- 0:07Speaker 1: a beautiful face. So am I I have my first
- 0:11Speaker 1: friend Sheena on. Thank you so much for coming on.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Thanks for having me. I'm excited. I love this for you.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I'm so excited.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I like, as soon as I knew I was doing
- 0:20Speaker 1: a podcast, I had to reach out to you and
- 0:22Speaker 1: I'm like, I need your help give me some title names.
- 0:25Speaker 1: And I feel like you've been one of the few
- 0:28Speaker 1: who have been so supportive in every way possible, and
- 0:32Speaker 1: You've been such a great friend to me. So I'm like,
- 0:34Speaker 1: I have to have Ghina.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Yes. No, I feel honored to be one of your
- 0:37Speaker 2: first guests. So thank you for having me. And I
- 0:39Speaker 2: mean going back and forth with the titles, like there
- 0:41Speaker 2: were so many good titles there was. I don't know
- 0:46Speaker 2: how you just finally narrowed it down and picked one.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Well, I really we really liked Mother, and I was like,
- 0:52Speaker 1: I love Mother. It's super strong. But I don't want
- 0:55Speaker 1: it to be only about like parenting. I wanted to
- 0:58Speaker 1: be about everything. So I kept thinking, pursuit of happiness.
- 1:02Speaker 1: That is my pursuit. But also I feel like now
- 1:05Speaker 1: I have a little sas so it's like pursuit of status.
- 1:09Speaker 2: This past summer, that's for sure.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I can't wait for everyone to see. Yeah, do you
- 1:14Speaker 1: remember how we met?
- 1:15Speaker 2: So it was through Brittany, Yes, right, but I'm trying
- 1:19Speaker 2: to remember like the first time because y'all have known
- 1:22Speaker 2: each other for a while. But I felt like we
- 1:24Speaker 2: really got to know each other in Vegas a couple
- 1:27Speaker 2: of years ago for her birthday, although I know I
- 1:29Speaker 2: met you prior at like birthday parties, and.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it was just like before. And that was my
- 1:35Speaker 1: first girl's trip with everybody in Vegas, and that was
- 1:39Speaker 1: a crazy weekend. It was I.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Mean, this was pre Janet having a baby. She was
- 1:46Speaker 2: on a full send mode.
- 1:48Speaker 1: That was the first time I hung out with Janet.
- 1:50Speaker 1: So it was like I bonded with everybody. We all
- 1:53Speaker 1: stayed at the same hotel on the same floor. I
- 1:57Speaker 1: stayed with Britney. I had no ice, no idea what
- 2:00Speaker 1: I was getting myself into.
- 2:01Speaker 2: You didn't know you were going to see a bush
- 2:02Speaker 2: that weekend, did ya?
- 2:03Speaker 1: Oh?
- 2:03Speaker 2: My god?
- 2:04Speaker 1: The bush. When everyone kept saying the bush, it was like,
- 2:08Speaker 1: what is the bush?
- 2:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:09Speaker 1: And then yeah, we played truth or Dare and I
- 2:12Speaker 1: quickly learned what the bush was.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Yeah, she literally just sent me a TikTok. I'm like, Janet,
- 2:17Speaker 2: I don't want to click and open that. She goes, no,
- 2:19Speaker 2: it's just the thing about bushes. I was like, I
- 2:21Speaker 2: see that, I can read what the title is. I
- 2:24Speaker 2: don't want to open it. She's like, you don't like
- 2:25Speaker 2: bush content? No.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I still have that image in my head where
- 2:31Speaker 1: somebody I think she like, volunteered. She's like, I want
- 2:34Speaker 1: to run.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Around she got on the elliptical.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Yeah, completely name And I didn't even know this girl.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I just knew her from like, Hi, my name's Janet,
- 2:42Speaker 1: and that was it. M h. Yeah.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I remember another time I met you, or like I
- 2:47Speaker 2: was with you. I think it was maybe Kristen's birthday,
- 2:50Speaker 2: but we were at like a Mexican restaurant in the valley.
- 2:54Speaker 2: It was outside, might have been Britney's birthday. I don't
- 2:57Speaker 2: know it was someone's, but I remember Isabella was so little,
- 3:01Speaker 2: like maybe she was two.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Yeah, she was probably just under two, but she was
- 3:07Speaker 1: and she still is.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I was like, that is the most beautiful child I've
- 3:11Speaker 2: ever seen, Like she is just so amazing. I love her.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Oh thank you? Yeah, yeah, she was a handful. I mean,
- 3:18Speaker 1: I feel like from the beginning. She learned how to
- 3:20Speaker 1: walk at eight months? What yes, eight months, eight and
- 3:24Speaker 1: a half months.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Okay, so that does happen.
- 3:26Speaker 1: It does happen. And so she's always been like a runner,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and she used to climb and I used to always
- 3:32Speaker 1: just like not be able to hang out with people
- 3:34Speaker 1: and talk to people because I was always chasing her.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Yeah, my mom told me that I walked at nine months,
- 3:39Speaker 2: and I've never believed her because I'm like, it's not
- 3:42Speaker 2: a thing. She's like, you walked before you crawled.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Yeah, So I saw you. I was watching TV and
- 3:47Speaker 1: I didn't know I saw you on Mass Singer.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Yes, I know. I couldn't tell anyone about it, obviously,
- 3:54Speaker 2: like it's such a keep your mouth closed sort.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Of shower, Like, how dare you not tell me?
- 4:00Speaker 2: No? No, I did not tell anyone. Actually, though, Janet,
- 4:05Speaker 2: I had put her on my list because my sister
- 4:07Speaker 2: was unavailable one of the days and I was like,
- 4:10Speaker 2: if I need an assistant or someone, and so I
- 4:14Speaker 2: was like, well, you're gonna have to sign an NDA
- 4:15Speaker 2: if I tell you this. So she was literally the
- 4:18Speaker 2: only person outside sign I don't know if she signed it,
- 4:23Speaker 2: you're like here, oh my the show sent those out, okay,
- 4:27Speaker 2: but just in case I needed someone to be there
- 4:31Speaker 2: to help assist me with anything, which I didn't end
- 4:33Speaker 2: up needing it, and I went home the first night,
- 4:35Speaker 2: so she didn't get to come that second night with
- 4:37Speaker 2: me anyways. But I literally couldn't tell anyone. I didn't
- 4:40Speaker 2: even tell my dad. I called my dad the day
- 4:44Speaker 2: before it aired and I was like, Hey, I know
- 4:46Speaker 2: you have to work tomorrow, just want to let you know,
- 4:48Speaker 2: like I did this thing. And he was like, why
- 4:51Speaker 2: are you barely telling me now? And I'm like, good, Dad,
- 4:53Speaker 2: I love you and like I trust you, but you
- 4:56Speaker 2: also can just be so proud and bragging to your
- 4:59Speaker 2: friendsh Yeah, my daughter's gonna be on mask singer tonight.
- 5:01Speaker 2: And it's like no, no, no, you're not supposed to
- 5:03Speaker 2: tell people before because then you have to unmask and
- 5:05Speaker 2: the whole thing. So there's so much secrecy around it.
- 5:08Speaker 2: That was hard for me because I couldn't tell anyone
- 5:11Speaker 2: about this incredible experience I had. I'm literally turning off
- 5:15Speaker 2: my location when I'm on set.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I was just gonna say, how many people have your location?
- 5:20Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, so I lied to Lalla. I completely made
- 5:25Speaker 2: up something I don't even remember what. I was supposed
- 5:28Speaker 2: to be in Palm Springs with her that weekend, and
- 5:32Speaker 2: I was like, I can't go. I had dressed, rehearsal,
- 5:34Speaker 2: I had vocal lessons, I had all of this stuff,
- 5:36Speaker 2: and so I don't even know what I made up.
- 5:38Speaker 2: But thankfully she wasn't in town and she actually doesn't
- 5:41Speaker 2: have my location, so that was good.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Okay, I want to know about the costume because it
- 5:47Speaker 1: was so gorgeous that it seemed so heavy. How did
- 5:51Speaker 1: you wear that entire costume while singing?
- 5:53Speaker 2: I really thought I was going to be claustrophobic when
- 5:57Speaker 2: I put it on for the first time. So I
- 6:00Speaker 2: did which I do with my OCD some exposure therapy
- 6:03Speaker 2: on Halloween, and I dressed up as a skeleton that
- 6:07Speaker 2: zipped all the way over the face. Because that was
- 6:10Speaker 2: like really close to my face I could see.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Through and I didn't even think of that.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I just I was trying to think, like, how am
- 6:17Speaker 2: I going to get more comfortable with doing this. I
- 6:19Speaker 2: have to move around, I have to dance, I have
- 6:20Speaker 2: to sing, I have to perform the outfit itself. I
- 6:24Speaker 2: was able to move in it. We ended up putting
- 6:26Speaker 2: a slit in it because I wanted to do splits
- 6:29Speaker 2: for my second performance, which sadly we didn't get to see.
- 6:33Speaker 2: But I did this for Halloween, so all of tricker
- 6:37Speaker 2: treating and everything, I'm like, walk and I'm just like breathe.
- 6:40Speaker 2: You got this that Honestly, the next day, when I
- 6:42Speaker 2: showed up for dress rehearsal and they put the head on,
- 6:44Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god, there's so much room
- 6:46Speaker 2: to breathe in this because the skeleton zip up. Puddy
- 6:50Speaker 2: was like on my face that was hard to breathe
- 6:52Speaker 2: inn But I just asked no. Literally, I went full method,
- 6:58Speaker 2: and so once we put it on, it wasn't even
- 7:01Speaker 2: that it was heavy, it just was awkward. I have
- 7:04Speaker 2: a very small head, so I'm like, you guys, like,
- 7:07Speaker 2: I'm afraid if I try to make one little move
- 7:10Speaker 2: it's just gonna fall off. And if I do the splits,
- 7:12Speaker 2: I have to put my hands down and then I
- 7:14Speaker 2: pop out into them and I go, has anyone's head
- 7:17Speaker 2: ever fallen off? And they go one time it did happen,
- 7:20Speaker 2: and they just left it in because they're like, well,
- 7:22Speaker 2: that's real. That's what happened. You know, that's who it is.
- 7:25Speaker 2: And I was like, but I don't want that to happen.
- 7:26Speaker 2: So they had to put a bicycle helmet inside the
- 7:30Speaker 2: actual bat head and crank it so it stayed on
- 7:35Speaker 2: my head.
- 7:35Speaker 1: So all of this for a performance, All of this
- 7:38Speaker 1: is it live?
- 7:39Speaker 2: It's in front of a live studio audience. Yeah, so
- 7:42Speaker 2: it's not airing live, but there's hundreds of people right
- 7:48Speaker 2: there screaming for me. They have no idea who I am,
- 7:51Speaker 2: and that was such a fun part and aspect of
- 7:54Speaker 2: it is being able to.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Perform and not no one knows who is exactly.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I'm not on the bar singing good as gold, Like
- 8:01Speaker 2: this was something so insanely out of my comfort zone.
- 8:06Speaker 2: I was so proud of myself for doing it that
- 8:08Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, I'm so ready for night too. Like
- 8:10Speaker 2: we just crushed that I did miss one of my
- 8:13Speaker 2: choreography turns, and that just for my OCD.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I was like, oh my god, we'll talk about the
- 8:18Speaker 1: OCD a second.
- 8:19Speaker 2: For sure, but no, it was such an incredible experience
- 8:22Speaker 2: and I was really proud of myself. I was just
- 8:25Speaker 2: I was so bummed that I went home first I
- 8:27Speaker 2: felt like just kind of was a little depressed and sad.
- 8:32Speaker 2: The next day, I took summer out of schools, like,
- 8:34Speaker 2: We're going to Palm Springs. I just like want to
- 8:36Speaker 2: go and take my family and get away.
- 8:38Speaker 1: And you're competitive, We're totally We're both very competitive my
- 8:41Speaker 1: whole life. We go all out whenever we get like
- 8:44Speaker 1: assigned to do something.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Yeah, but it worked out the timing that I didn't
- 8:49Speaker 2: have her go to school that day because norovirus broke
- 8:52Speaker 2: out at her school that week and so yeah, so
- 8:55Speaker 2: she like totally missed it because I was like, you're
- 8:58Speaker 2: not going to school tomorrow, We're going to Palm Springs.
- 9:00Speaker 2: So it worked out for her.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Well, I think that was epic, And I think, did
- 9:04Speaker 1: you get a tattoo?
- 9:05Speaker 2: I did? Oh God?
- 9:06Speaker 1: Sheina? And that going to be in book number.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Two maybe, Yeah, I've got to do. I'm gonna do
- 9:13Speaker 2: a bit of a sleeve.
- 9:14Speaker 1: So your book, Yes, when is it coming out?
- 9:18Speaker 2: July twenty second. It's available for pre order right now
- 9:20Speaker 2: on my good sidebook dot com. There are signed copies
- 9:24Speaker 2: available as well.
- 9:25Speaker 1: How many did you sign? Actually, I don't know. If
- 9:28Speaker 1: I saw you went live? I did and Isabella's wanted
- 9:31Speaker 1: to watch, so she was watching, and I tucked in
- 9:33Speaker 1: Isabella and I say, Hi, I love that.
- 9:36Speaker 2: I wasn't looking as much at the comments because I
- 9:38Speaker 2: was trying to sign them, and I realized I'm good
- 9:40Speaker 2: at multitasking, but trying to answer questions while signing them
- 9:45Speaker 2: it didn't work so well. So I'm like, I'm going
- 9:47Speaker 2: to do another live, but I'm just gonna take my
- 9:49Speaker 2: time signing them because I was trying to get through
- 9:51Speaker 2: as many as.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Possible in Summer signed.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Yeah, so there are three special Summer moon editions that
- 9:57Speaker 2: will go into a book somewhere. But I got through
- 10:01Speaker 2: a little over three hundred last night, so wow, Yeah,
- 10:05Speaker 2: I have, like, I don't know, seventeen hundred more, Okay,
- 10:08Speaker 2: in the next two weeks.
- 10:10Speaker 1: How long did it take you to write that?
- 10:13Speaker 2: The whole process was over a year, but the real
- 10:19Speaker 2: bones of the book and writing the majority of it
- 10:21Speaker 2: we did in like four months.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Okay.
- 10:24Speaker 2: So it was a long process finding the right person
- 10:26Speaker 2: to collaborate with and then being like, no, I don't
- 10:29Speaker 2: want to and then okay, yes, this person and then
- 10:31Speaker 2: there's a lot of this process that I write about
- 10:34Speaker 2: in the book because this was all so new to me.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I know if I ever do a second book, what
- 10:39Speaker 2: I would do differently, what I loved about this process,
- 10:42Speaker 2: But it was a lot, But I'm very proud of it.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I'm just also nervous for it to come out because
- 10:51Speaker 2: I don't really hold.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Back and I know that feeling. Yeah, So, I mean,
- 10:57Speaker 1: we had lunch recently and you're like, Hey, I wanted
- 10:59Speaker 1: to talk to you about a little chapter in my book,
- 11:03Speaker 1: and when you told me, I was incredibly surprised. Yeah,
- 11:07Speaker 1: proud of you at the same time for being so
- 11:10Speaker 1: open and vulnerable in your book. So I'm excited to
- 11:13Speaker 1: read it, and I'm for everybody to read it.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I know me too. It's one of the biggest things
- 11:18Speaker 2: that've I did so many things in my career just
- 11:22Speaker 2: recently that I'm like, wow, like mass singer, like that's
- 11:24Speaker 2: one of the biggest things I've ever done, like a
- 11:26Speaker 2: network show like that, But then writing a book, I'm like,
- 11:28Speaker 2: this is one of the biggest things in my career
- 11:30Speaker 2: I've ever done. And they just all kind of came
- 11:32Speaker 2: together around the same time.
- 11:33Speaker 1: So I know, you're very inspiring. Like honestly, out of everybody,
- 11:37Speaker 1: I'm like You're such a go getter and you are
- 11:40Speaker 1: constantly multitasking and just doing so many different things. I'm like,
- 11:44Speaker 1: how do you do it? And I just watch you
- 11:46Speaker 1: and I don't get it. And You're like, I'm in
- 11:47Speaker 1: New York today, I'm in La tomorrow, I'm in Like.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, I was just in Puerto Rico. And
- 11:53Speaker 2: then I go back to New York. I'm going to
- 11:55Speaker 2: Palm Springs this weekend. Coachella stagecoach Summer's birthday.
- 11:58Speaker 1: In between speaking of birthdays, Yes, your birthday is coming up.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I know.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'm so excited, are you. Yes, you look amazing and
- 12:08Speaker 1: you're about that forty years old.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Thank you?
- 12:11Speaker 1: Can I say that, Yes you can.
- 12:12Speaker 2: It's I think it's google able. No, it's a big
- 12:16Speaker 2: one coming up. And I felt like about six seven
- 12:19Speaker 2: months ago, I was so excited for it. I'm like,
- 12:21Speaker 2: oh my god, I can't wait to be forty. I
- 12:24Speaker 2: just felt very energized about planning it all. And then
- 12:30Speaker 2: the things that I wanted to do we're just not
- 12:32Speaker 2: really coming together. I wanted to go to Mexico, and
- 12:36Speaker 2: now Brock is in an in between visa things. He's
- 12:40Speaker 2: applying to be a citizen right now. So I was like,
- 12:42Speaker 2: I don't know if I want you really leaving the
- 12:44Speaker 2: country right now with just how things are. So I'm like,
- 12:48Speaker 2: let's not do Mexico. And then he's like, just do
- 12:50Speaker 2: a girls trip. So I'm like, okay, we'll do a
- 12:52Speaker 2: girls trip. And then I was like, no, I don't
- 12:55Speaker 2: want to do anything, and we have to be in
- 12:56Speaker 2: Vegas the weekend after, so I'm like, maybe we'll go
- 12:58Speaker 2: to Vegas. And I've literally planned absolutely nothing and it's
- 13:02Speaker 2: in a few weeks.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I mean, you had an epic thirty ninth birthday.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Right and that's what I feel like. I kind of
- 13:07Speaker 2: already did it. I'm like, how are we going to
- 13:09Speaker 2: do better than last year? Smearnoff threw me the best party.
- 13:13Speaker 1: They did at the best house and at the best.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Food, the best drinks, Like it was so good, it
- 13:18Speaker 2: was so fun that I don't know how we're going
- 13:20Speaker 2: to do that better. I wanted to try and recreate
- 13:24Speaker 2: our welcome party that we had for our wedding, and
- 13:26Speaker 2: we did this like massive white party in Mexico at
- 13:29Speaker 2: an all inclusive resort. That was my original vision and
- 13:32Speaker 2: then now it's just that didn't come together.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Okay, so we don't know what we're doing for birthday,
- 13:37Speaker 1: no idea, Okay, we have a couple of weeks. Yes,
- 13:39Speaker 1: there's so many birthdays.
- 13:41Speaker 2: I know, and I swear with I guess, well, Isabelle
- 13:44Speaker 2: as a year older? But I know you had her
- 13:46Speaker 2: like write COVID. Yes, but I felt like the COVID
- 13:49Speaker 2: baby boom. All the babies came spring of twenty twenty one.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Because right now everybody's eight week or me. Every weekend,
- 13:56Speaker 2: I know there's a birthday party.
- 13:57Speaker 1: This weekend is Crus's birthday.
- 14:00Speaker 2: I know my mom is going to take Summer because
- 14:01Speaker 2: I'll be at Coachella. No, you see, I never make
- 14:04Speaker 2: it to Cruise's birthday. I'm like Brittany, if it's on Coachella,
- 14:06Speaker 2: I'm not going to be there. But then Summer's birthday
- 14:08Speaker 2: is on stage Coach.
- 14:10Speaker 1: So that's why I just do Disneyland for me. It's
- 14:12Speaker 1: like kind of our ritual now I've been doing it
- 14:14Speaker 1: ever since she's too. It was like, yeah, we just
- 14:16Speaker 1: do a cake at home, a really nice cake, whatever
- 14:19Speaker 1: you want, and then we go to Disneyland and you
- 14:21Speaker 1: get presents.
- 14:21Speaker 2: And we're smart. I started with a massive party for
- 14:25Speaker 2: her first birthday, which was really more for the parents,
- 14:28Speaker 2: you know, that was for me and kind of so
- 14:31Speaker 2: was the second one. Then by the third one she
- 14:33Speaker 2: has friends from dance class and whatnot, and so we
- 14:36Speaker 2: did that one last year and now this year, I'm like, oh,
- 14:39Speaker 2: I guess you're getting two parties because we have a
- 14:42Speaker 2: lot of cousins and friends with kids, and well.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I'm going to focus on your birthday since it's such
- 14:46Speaker 1: a big one. I know, yeah, I mean you've done
- 14:49Speaker 1: so much in the last ten fifteen years. I didn't
- 14:53Speaker 1: know about Pizza Pizza Girl, My gosh, I was like,
- 14:56Speaker 1: what is this to watch this? Really?
- 14:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a cute Disney show, Like it's something that
- 15:02Speaker 2: I love too that I have Jonas, Pizza Girl and
- 15:06Speaker 2: Mass Singer for like my daughter and her friends were like, Okay,
- 15:09Speaker 2: well you're not going to watch The Valley. You know,
- 15:11Speaker 2: you do not need to go back and watch Vandawumbrules,
- 15:13Speaker 2: but you can watch Jonas, you can watch Mass Singer.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I actually want to watch that with Yazabella. I was like,
- 15:19Speaker 1: I didn't know this. What else do I not know about?
- 15:21Speaker 2: GINI did nine or two one zero back in the day. Really,
- 15:25Speaker 2: I was a featured extra on Entourage for years.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Like, wait, I've seen that show a million times.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah, So I used to work in the office.
- 15:36Speaker 2: When Ari in the later seasons moved into his new office,
- 15:39Speaker 2: I was at one of the desks, like every time
- 15:42Speaker 2: they shot there, I was one of the regular Oh
- 15:45Speaker 2: my got it.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna go home tonight and watch.
- 15:47Speaker 2: It on the first one I ever did was Vinnie
- 15:51Speaker 2: Chase's birthday party on the Queen Mary with all of
- 15:54Speaker 2: the Victoria's Secret model I just watched that up and
- 15:56Speaker 2: I'm right there in the background.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I really Oh oh, I got that say.
- 16:01Speaker 2: It was like one of my first regular side gigs.
- 16:04Speaker 2: When I first moved out here, I had an agent
- 16:07Speaker 2: who got me a model rate which was higher than SAG.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I got all of my SAG vouchers already, and I
- 16:14Speaker 2: got to just go and hang out with the boys
- 16:16Speaker 2: all of the time. Filmed an earth cafe like shops
- 16:20Speaker 2: on Sunset.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I always talk about that show because it literally is
- 16:23Speaker 1: all of la and I'm like, I've been there, I've
- 16:25Speaker 1: been there. I love it all.
- 16:27Speaker 2: I couldn't even tell you how many episodes I did,
- 16:29Speaker 2: but there's a lot.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Oh that's awesome. Yeah, Aaron and I actually just watched
- 16:40Speaker 1: the first episode of vander Pump Rules No way, Yeah,
- 16:43Speaker 1: why because I just I was like, you know what,
- 16:46Speaker 1: let's just watch an episode. I was like, I want
- 16:48Speaker 1: to watch an episode. I want to watch a reunion,
- 16:51Speaker 1: like I want to know more about my friends now,
- 16:54Speaker 1: Like why not? And so we watched it. I was like,
- 16:57Speaker 1: oh my god, baby, Sheena.
- 17:00Speaker 2: My voice was so high back then, Like I genuinely
- 17:03Speaker 2: I went to the doctor last year because I worried.
- 17:06Speaker 2: I'm like, why is my voice you know more rascal
- 17:09Speaker 2: and you age and your voice does change. But whenever
- 17:13Speaker 2: I see a scene from an old episode, I'm like, wow,
- 17:16Speaker 2: my voice was really high back then.
- 17:19Speaker 1: So is it weird to watch yourself from season one?
- 17:23Speaker 2: It's weird because I don't remember a lot of it.
- 17:26Speaker 2: So when I watch something back like it will come
- 17:29Speaker 2: back to me and I'm like, oh my god, I
- 17:30Speaker 2: remember that. But I genuinely don't like to go back
- 17:34Speaker 2: and watch old episodes because I'm say, you know, in
- 17:38Speaker 2: a good place with Stossy now, But then I watch
- 17:42Speaker 2: back the way that she was with me then, and
- 17:43Speaker 2: I'm just like, you know, I don't like having those
- 17:45Speaker 2: memories about you, Like I like this version of Stossy,
- 17:48Speaker 2: you know, like the mom who our kids will play
- 17:51Speaker 2: together and whatnot. And so I don't really enjoy going
- 17:55Speaker 2: back and watching nix it just like it brings up
- 17:57Speaker 2: old feelings and.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Like, yeah, bad memories, a little.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Bit of past trauma and relationships that I'm like, Season
- 18:05Speaker 2: six could just disappear from the face of the earth
- 18:09Speaker 2: and I would not be sad. I never saw an
- 18:12Speaker 2: episode from that season.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Should I or should I not watch? Watch?
- 18:15Speaker 2: It's really entertaining.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Okay, I think I'm gonna we're gonna watch just do it?
- 18:19Speaker 2: Do it? Yeah?
- 18:20Speaker 1: Right as well? Right like now or never? Let's do
- 18:22Speaker 1: it now? Yeah, okay. And so I know that you
- 18:26Speaker 1: went through different relationships and obviously for me, I went
- 18:30Speaker 1: through a divorce in my first season.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Yeah, that's wild.
- 18:33Speaker 1: It really is. Now that I look back, I'm like,
- 18:35Speaker 1: what was I thinking, Like, I don't even know. I
- 18:38Speaker 1: think I went into it just a little naive and
- 18:41Speaker 1: thought I could hide it and like it was gonna
- 18:44Speaker 1: be okay, And I thought I could just do that
- 18:46Speaker 1: after the fact of filming. But no, no, no, You've
- 18:49Speaker 1: got to show it all. Yeah, I got to show
- 18:51Speaker 1: it all and so now you know, obviously I've been
- 18:55Speaker 1: with Aaron for over a year, and so you might
- 18:58Speaker 1: see him pop in soon. And it's like, how did
- 19:01Speaker 1: you feel going through relationships on the show?
- 19:07Speaker 2: I feel like by I mean like the second, third, fourth,
- 19:10Speaker 2: it was like it was kind of all I knew.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Once I joined the show. Shane and I had been
- 19:15Speaker 2: together for a little over a year. We both decided
- 19:18Speaker 2: this was something we wanted to do together, and so
- 19:22Speaker 2: I only know reality TV is starting in a relationship.
- 19:26Speaker 2: And then you know, we had five seasons together and
- 19:29Speaker 2: then I went straight into another relationship. Would not recommend
- 19:32Speaker 2: that to anyone. And then I had two single seasons,
- 19:36Speaker 2: and I thought that was going to be so fun.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I talk about this a bit in my book too,
- 19:41Speaker 2: But when I was single, no one else was single,
- 19:45Speaker 2: so it wasn't so fun. It was actually quite lonely.
- 19:48Speaker 2: And one of those seasons I was also freezing my eggs.
- 19:50Speaker 2: And so then we have what a year and a
- 19:55Speaker 2: half off because of COVID, and we come back and
- 19:57Speaker 2: I have yet again a new boyfriend and a baby.
- 20:02Speaker 2: So I've really been through it all on this show
- 20:06Speaker 2: since I was like twenty six it's crazy that now
- 20:11Speaker 2: there is a vander pump Roules season twelve. It's just
- 20:13Speaker 2: not following our lives anymore, especially myself, Katie and Sandoval,
- 20:18Speaker 2: who have been on every single episode since the beginning.
- 20:22Speaker 1: How do you feel about that?
- 20:24Speaker 2: Mixed feelings. I'm feeling excited for the new kids at Serta,
- 20:29Speaker 2: you know, get their shot and their opportunities and all
- 20:32Speaker 2: of that, because I know what it did for all
- 20:35Speaker 2: of us. But at the same time, it's weird when
- 20:40Speaker 2: I've done that for so long and now I'm not.
- 20:42Speaker 2: But I feel like the Valley is such a better
- 20:45Speaker 2: fit and makes more sense. But it is weird that,
- 20:50Speaker 2: you know, this huge part of my life is over,
- 20:53Speaker 2: but it's not. It's just changing a little bit. And
- 20:57Speaker 2: I felt like it was time to be honest.
- 21:00Speaker 1: And it seems like everybody was in a completely different path,
- 21:04Speaker 1: Like some people were getting divorced, some people were single,
- 21:06Speaker 1: some people have kids. Like, yeah, you guys didn't have
- 21:10Speaker 1: as much in common anymore.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it just was feeling a bit forced towards the end.
- 21:15Speaker 2: It's like, this isn't who I would go on a
- 21:16Speaker 2: trip with, you know, But when you're filming a show,
- 21:18Speaker 2: Obviously you're not gonna go to Hawaii with your ex husband.
- 21:20Speaker 2: But when you're filming a show, you go to Hawaii
- 21:22Speaker 2: with your ex husband. So what I it's it's yeah,
- 21:28Speaker 2: it's a crazy world that we're in. There's nothing normal
- 21:32Speaker 2: about it. You know, to just put your lives on
- 21:37Speaker 2: camera and then it's like, okay, you lived your life,
- 21:39Speaker 2: but oh no, no, now you go to watch it back.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Now you've got to have the whole world judge you.
- 21:44Speaker 2: And it's even crazier now because when we started Instagram
- 21:47Speaker 2: was just starting out. Twitter was already around, but that's
- 21:52Speaker 2: kind of nice it was, and so now it's so different,
- 21:57Speaker 2: you know, where it's like you can't post anything without
- 22:00Speaker 2: a million people having opinions. The first few seasons, I
- 22:04Speaker 2: miss the those days and when we actually all like
- 22:07Speaker 2: had to work together to pay our bills. Like I
- 22:10Speaker 2: genuinely miss working at the restaurant. Sometimes. I know that
- 22:12Speaker 2: sounds crazy, but sir felt like a family. It was
- 22:16Speaker 2: a really fun place to work. It was fun to
- 22:20Speaker 2: sneak our sangria and go hide it in the bathroom
- 22:23Speaker 2: and we were all pulling tips, so it was like
- 22:25Speaker 2: we were a team.
- 22:26Speaker 1: And that's what you do when you're in your twenties.
- 22:29Speaker 1: You're struggling back, you're trying to make it.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I remember some of the girls would smuggle rolls of
- 22:34Speaker 2: toilet paper in their purse because they couldn't afford toilet
- 22:37Speaker 2: paper at home. Like we were Baroke when the show
- 22:40Speaker 2: started splitting like a five dollars foot long and stealing
- 22:45Speaker 2: toilet paper. And look at you, now, I didn't steal
- 22:48Speaker 2: the toilet paper.
- 22:48Speaker 1: You have multiple houses. Yes, you bought a house a
- 22:52Speaker 1: year ago in the valley.
- 22:53Speaker 2: That you sold me.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Yeah, honestly, you were And I say this, You're the
- 22:58Speaker 1: best client I've ever worked with. And I learn a
- 23:01Speaker 1: lot about people every day because I had to deal
- 23:04Speaker 1: with them. And like, you're making such a big decision
- 23:07Speaker 1: in your life to purchase the house, and so there
- 23:10Speaker 1: can be a lot of emotions, but you were very
- 23:13Speaker 1: like clear decide, like this is what I like. Yeah,
- 23:17Speaker 1: you walked in and you fell in love.
- 23:19Speaker 2: We just knew it. Like the first house that we
- 23:21Speaker 2: looked at from the outside esthetically was more my vibe.
- 23:25Speaker 2: I loved the backyard, the adu, the long driveway, all
- 23:29Speaker 2: of that. I was like, this is what I pictured
- 23:32Speaker 2: my LA house to look like. But then when we
- 23:34Speaker 2: got inside, I'm like, this is kind of funky, Like
- 23:37Speaker 2: there was no actual laundry room, there was no pantry.
- 23:40Speaker 2: The rooms were really small and weird, and I'm like,
- 23:43Speaker 2: but then there's this massive attic, which I loved. It
- 23:46Speaker 2: was so not la I'm like, wait, this is cool.
- 23:49Speaker 2: But the second we walked into my current house, you
- 23:52Speaker 2: walked in first. I remember I was parking my car
- 23:54Speaker 2: and you came out and you were just like the
- 23:55Speaker 2: bones of this house. Like you're like, you're you're gonna
- 23:58Speaker 2: love it.
- 23:58Speaker 1: I mean, I fell in love with house, but I
- 24:00Speaker 1: like to get your opinion first, Like I don't want to,
- 24:04Speaker 1: you know, push you towards one way or the other.
- 24:06Speaker 1: But I walked in, I was like, this is awesome.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's very similar set up to Britney's house. It's
- 24:13Speaker 2: kind of similar to what Katie and Schwartz's house used
- 24:15Speaker 2: to be. And I always loved their houses. And right
- 24:17Speaker 2: when I walked in, it was just so open. I
- 24:22Speaker 2: loved how the staircase and all that, just like the
- 24:25Speaker 2: openness of it. Yes, but the thing that like sold
- 24:28Speaker 2: me right away where the plantation shutters. Because my house
- 24:31Speaker 2: that I had in San Diego had those and I
- 24:34Speaker 2: just loved that. And so right when I walked in,
- 24:37Speaker 2: I was like, oh my gosh, every window has these. Yeah,
- 24:41Speaker 2: and the kitchen island, I still haven't done it yet.
- 24:43Speaker 2: I haven't even done a house simaren party. I've lived
- 24:45Speaker 2: in there for over a.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Year now, but you have pizza parties, have everything.
- 24:49Speaker 2: No, totally, but when I saw the kitchen island, I
- 24:52Speaker 2: was like, the shark hooterie we could do on this,
- 24:54Speaker 2: which I still haven't done anything to do, but I
- 24:57Speaker 2: love it. It's great, it's home.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Yeah, you were incredible. You were It was like easy
- 25:02Speaker 1: and smooth. What made you pick us as an agent?
- 25:06Speaker 2: I love hanging out with you and you're one of
- 25:09Speaker 2: my favorite people. And I was like, look, if I'm
- 25:12Speaker 2: gonna be doing walk through inspections any of that, like,
- 25:16Speaker 2: I want it to be with someone who's energy I
- 25:18Speaker 2: really like. And so it was easy. And then I
- 25:21Speaker 2: mean with you came Jresse, which whatever, but you know,
- 25:24Speaker 2: and I.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Remember you were like I have a lot of agent friends,
- 25:27Speaker 1: but I want to work with you, and like I
- 25:29Speaker 1: really appreciate.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I just love you. We hit it off
- 25:32Speaker 2: in Vegas. We've been close ever since, and I was like,
- 25:35Speaker 2: there's no one else I want to sell me my house.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Yeah, and I've never had inspections where you're like, bring
- 25:40Speaker 1: Isabella and.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Yeah, bring the kids. Yeah.
- 25:43Speaker 1: So we've really gotten close in the last couple years,
- 25:46Speaker 1: I think, especially because of the girls, right.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean they're like exactly a year apart. But
- 25:52Speaker 2: Summer is so good with older girls, and she picks
- 25:54Speaker 2: up from them and learns from them. And Isabella's so
- 25:57Speaker 2: great with her.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Yeah, she always wanted it or she wants to baby sister,
- 26:01Speaker 1: so she likes little kids, and their energy together matches
- 26:04Speaker 1: really well. I mean they have their little moments for
- 26:07Speaker 1: a second, but overall they're really good. Yeah, they're with
- 26:10Speaker 1: each other.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Four and five years old, all though they're going on
- 26:14Speaker 2: fourteen and fifteen.
- 26:15Speaker 1: What I can't stop picturing, which I'm like, Shina, you
- 26:19Speaker 1: are so OCD. I didn't even know this about you. Yeah,
- 26:23Speaker 1: you have Summer's room and then you have a playroom
- 26:27Speaker 1: and it's perfect, and oh it's always immaculate, perfect. Yeah,
- 26:31Speaker 1: And I'm so confused because Isabella's I think more like me.
- 26:34Speaker 1: I'm kind of messy. I have to work on it
- 26:37Speaker 1: all the time, and she like she's done with the toy,
- 26:40Speaker 1: she just throws it and after thirty minutes in her room,
- 26:43Speaker 1: like he would have a heart attack to look at
- 26:45Speaker 1: what her room looks like. I'm trying to teach her,
- 26:48Speaker 1: but actually I love going to your house because I
- 26:50Speaker 1: was like, this is how it's done, and you're actually
- 26:54Speaker 1: like a positive role model and summer just like how
- 26:57Speaker 1: you guys are, but you're in incredibly clean.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Yeah. That was the thing with and nothing against this.
- 27:04Speaker 2: It's how I used to live in my condo. But
- 27:07Speaker 2: buying a new house, I was like, I don't want
- 27:09Speaker 2: to walk in the door and it to look like
- 27:11Speaker 2: a toddler lives here. Let's keep that stuff separate because
- 27:14Speaker 2: in my condo, which most people's houses are like this,
- 27:17Speaker 2: you walk in, you've got like, you know, the playpen
- 27:19Speaker 2: or like the area for the toys.
- 27:20Speaker 1: And all of that, and with all the different colors, yes.
- 27:23Speaker 2: The primary colors, I can't so esthetically I'm like, okay,
- 27:27Speaker 2: I want a lot of white, which is crazy because
- 27:29Speaker 2: I have a black cat and a toddler. So yeah,
- 27:33Speaker 2: I really just wanted it to look pretty and keep
- 27:37Speaker 2: all the stuff upstairs. And it worked out that right
- 27:40Speaker 2: under our stairs, there's that little storage like nook room
- 27:44Speaker 2: that we keep all of our stuff in there. That
- 27:46Speaker 2: room is a disaster. Just so you know, my mom
- 27:49Speaker 2: asked me today, she was like, have you cleaned up
- 27:51Speaker 2: her butterfly room yet? And I was like, no, I
- 27:53Speaker 2: don't think so. I don't know. I haven't been in
- 27:55Speaker 2: there in the last few days. And she's like, Shina,
- 27:57Speaker 2: I'm like, not a priority.
- 27:58Speaker 1: So you're like this with everything or just your home.
- 28:02Speaker 2: I try to be like it with everything. If you
- 28:04Speaker 2: saw my car right now, it's an absolute disaster.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Just so, speaking of the girls, I always smile at
- 28:11Speaker 1: you because back then she was just like a lot
- 28:14Speaker 1: of work for me and she didn't get a lot
- 28:16Speaker 1: of sleep, and I was just tired all the time.
- 28:19Speaker 1: And I'm like, I'm good with one kid, and I
- 28:23Speaker 1: felt like you and I were always on that same.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Same one and done like, don't even try to convince me.
- 28:29Speaker 1: And everybody else is like I'm on three four kids,
- 28:32Speaker 1: And we would just look at each other like that
- 28:34Speaker 1: seemed miserable, very hard. Yeah, yeah, but what about now?
- 28:39Speaker 2: So we have taken one baby step or I mean, honestly,
- 28:45Speaker 2: it's kind of a big step for me. But we
- 28:47Speaker 2: got rock sperm tested, and we have He picked up
- 28:51Speaker 2: my frozen eggs last week from the old facility and
- 28:55Speaker 2: transported them to my doctor's new facility. Okay, that's as
- 28:59Speaker 2: far as we've gotten, because I worry now that we've
- 29:05Speaker 2: gotten his sperm tested and we found out that it's
- 29:07Speaker 2: just like five star, top notch, best the doctor's ever seen.
- 29:10Speaker 1: It's a plus plus, so annoying. He'll get you pregnant
- 29:13Speaker 1: just looking at you.
- 29:14Speaker 2: He did twice, and so knowing that now, I worry
- 29:18Speaker 2: if we fertilize all sixteen eggs, what if we have
- 29:22Speaker 2: like three or more perfect embryos, I could potentially, in
- 29:28Speaker 2: a year or two be convinced to do twins, to
- 29:31Speaker 2: put two in a surrogate and see what happens. Okay, however,
- 29:36Speaker 2: if there are three or more, like, how am I
- 29:38Speaker 2: gonna pick one or two? If they're like, oh, there's
- 29:40Speaker 2: two boys and one girl or two girls one boy,
- 29:42Speaker 2: then I'm gonna pick one over the other. Like that's
- 29:45Speaker 2: where for me and my OCD, I'm like, I'm not
- 29:49Speaker 2: there yet mentally. So my doctor was like, how about
- 29:53Speaker 2: we do this? We just do five eggs at a time,
- 29:55Speaker 2: He's like, obviously I would recommend doing them all at once,
- 29:57Speaker 2: but if you would feel better about that, what are
- 30:00Speaker 2: the chances that we even get more than one out
- 30:03Speaker 2: of five? You know, it's like some of them won't
- 30:06Speaker 2: even survive the thin process. And then once you fertilize
- 30:09Speaker 2: genetically test all of that, if we go out of five,
- 30:13Speaker 2: I think that's a better shot, and then maybe none
- 30:15Speaker 2: of those are good. Then we do the next five,
- 30:17Speaker 2: and then we do the last six.
- 30:18Speaker 1: But okay, so I have a lot of eggs.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Sixteen, which honestly isn't a lot. I did two rounds
- 30:24Speaker 2: of egg freezing. I got nine the first time and
- 30:26Speaker 2: seven the second time.
- 30:28Speaker 1: You're teaching me because I don't know anything about this.
- 30:30Speaker 2: I didn't either until I did it, and then I
- 30:33Speaker 2: was literally getting ready to do a third round because
- 30:37Speaker 2: I just wanted to have as many as possible because
- 30:39Speaker 2: my AMH levels, which is like your hormone level, were
- 30:43Speaker 2: really low. So normally for my age at the time
- 30:47Speaker 2: I think I was thirty two thirty three should have
- 30:50Speaker 2: been between one point four and four point two, and
- 30:52Speaker 2: I was at zero point two six. Okay, so basically,
- 30:56Speaker 2: the chance of getting pregnant naturally was going to be
- 30:59Speaker 2: close to him. Pop possible, but not impossible because after
- 31:04Speaker 2: six seven months of not not trying, but after I
- 31:08Speaker 2: met Brock and we're in the pandemic and you know,
- 31:11Speaker 2: there's not much else to do. Yeah, I got pregnant.
- 31:14Speaker 2: And the doctor told me it was probably from freezing
- 31:17Speaker 2: my egg twice the year before that. That kind of
- 31:19Speaker 2: woke up my.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Body, so you were surprised.
- 31:21Speaker 2: I was so shocked. I remembered the moment where Brock
- 31:25Speaker 2: was in San Diego at the gym. We're on FaceTime.
- 31:28Speaker 2: I'm in the bathroom and I was like, hold on,
- 31:30Speaker 2: I'll be right back. I'm just gonna pee on this
- 31:31Speaker 2: really quick. And he was like, what, you're being so
- 31:34Speaker 2: casual about this. I'm like, dude, I've peed on like
- 31:36Speaker 2: twenty of these in the past. It's never been I'm like,
- 31:39Speaker 2: just for my sanity, so I can like go have
- 31:41Speaker 2: a white claw and smoke some weed. Like I'm just
- 31:43Speaker 2: gonna make sure. And so I do it. I pee
- 31:47Speaker 2: on it and I'm like staring at it. That's how
- 31:51Speaker 2: you find literally, and he's like what and I'm like, uh,
- 31:57Speaker 2: oh my god. And it has like the two lines
- 31:59Speaker 2: or whatever it was, and I was just like, there's
- 32:02Speaker 2: there's no effine way, there's no way. I was in
- 32:06Speaker 2: pure shock because I didn't think that I could even
- 32:08Speaker 2: get pregnant, and I've never had a pregnant a positive
- 32:12Speaker 2: pregnancy test, and so I went back to the store
- 32:16Speaker 2: and like got a different brand, the one that says pregnant,
- 32:19Speaker 2: not pregnant. So I'm like, maybe the lines are yeah, whatever, pregnant.
- 32:24Speaker 2: It's like, oh my god. Then the next day I
- 32:25Speaker 2: make an appointment to go get my blood work done
- 32:27Speaker 2: just to like make sure pregnant.
- 32:30Speaker 1: And then then you believed it.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Then I believed it, and then sadly, a few weeks later,
- 32:36Speaker 2: I have a miscarriage. So it was just so many
- 32:38Speaker 2: emotions where and hormones and everything where it's like I
- 32:41Speaker 2: didn't think I could get pregnant, then I'm pregnant, now
- 32:44Speaker 2: I'm not pregnant, and it just so quickly this all happened.
- 32:48Speaker 2: It didn't pass on its own, so I had to
- 32:50Speaker 2: have the DNC procedure, which was the most painful thing
- 32:52Speaker 2: I've ever gone to physically and emotionally. And after that,
- 32:57Speaker 2: my doctor was like, you know, the best chance you're
- 32:59Speaker 2: going to have this procedure also wakes up your body
- 33:03Speaker 2: in a different way. He goes try again in one month,
- 33:05Speaker 2: have one ovulation cycle, and then try again. And I'm like,
- 33:10Speaker 2: first of all, I've only known this guy for like
- 33:12Speaker 2: seven months. We're in a pandemic. Neither of us really
- 33:15Speaker 2: have a job right now, Like we should not be
- 33:17Speaker 2: trying to actively have a baby. So I told Brock.
- 33:21Speaker 2: I was like, you know, I was gonna freeze eggs.
- 33:24Speaker 2: We even that early in our relationship talked about making
- 33:26Speaker 2: embryos because I'm like, we already have my eggs, so
- 33:29Speaker 2: if things don't work out, then we don't use those.
- 33:31Speaker 2: And now I just feel differently about that too. But
- 33:35Speaker 2: after I went through that, I told Brock when it
- 33:38Speaker 2: was that time I had just ovulated, I'm like, hey,
- 33:40Speaker 2: just so you know, this is the week, like we
- 33:42Speaker 2: either gotta be very careful don't have sex because it's
- 33:45Speaker 2: very likely I could get pregnant. We had just moved
- 33:48Speaker 2: into San Diego. We wake up, it's a beautiful day.
- 33:51Speaker 2: The waves are crashing, the sun is shining. We christen
- 33:55Speaker 2: the house.
- 33:56Speaker 1: I feel like I'm here, I'm in the moment. I
- 33:59Speaker 1: love this.
- 33:59Speaker 2: It's beautiful day, and all of a sudden he was
- 34:02Speaker 2: like wait. I was like, you just got me pregnant,
- 34:06Speaker 2: didn't you. And He's like no, there's no way. And
- 34:10Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, well let's just say you did. I'm
- 34:14Speaker 2: minutes pregnant. Let's go across the street to like our
- 34:18Speaker 2: favorite sushi place. We had sushi, we had a couple
- 34:21Speaker 2: of sake bombs. I took a hit a weed and
- 34:24Speaker 2: I was like, now I'm just gonna pretend like I'm pregnant.
- 34:28Speaker 2: I'm gonna just tell myself that. And so then for
- 34:30Speaker 2: three weeks until I had the test that said pregnant again.
- 34:34Speaker 1: If you were already in your mind, thatt Hour's pregnant, yes,
- 34:39Speaker 1: like you got me pregnant this you manifested this, by
- 34:42Speaker 1: the way.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Yeah. And we were getting ready a few weeks later
- 34:45Speaker 2: to go to Sedona for my sister's birthday, and I
- 34:49Speaker 2: was like, I can't go until I know, because we're
- 34:52Speaker 2: gonna be off roading, we're gonna be mountain climbing, doing
- 34:54Speaker 2: all of these things that I probably shouldn't do if
- 34:56Speaker 2: I'm pregnant. And the day before we left, I took
- 35:00Speaker 2: a test and it was like as early as it
- 35:02Speaker 2: could be detected, and it said I was pregnant. Wow.
- 35:05Speaker 2: So it was just crazy because I was like I
- 35:07Speaker 2: knew it that one time and from then on, but
- 35:10Speaker 2: like those three weeks it was such a mindful because
- 35:13Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm treating my body as if I'm pregnant.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I'm not drinking, I'm not smoking, I'm not eating cheese,
- 35:19Speaker 2: sushi anything. It was a couple hours after went and
- 35:22Speaker 2: got the sushi and I'm like, there's no way, Like
- 35:24Speaker 2: I'm okay if it's a few hours. But I was
- 35:26Speaker 2: so psychotic my entire pregnancy because COVID first of all,
- 35:30Speaker 2: but also just having a miscarriage. I was so afraid
- 35:34Speaker 2: of everything. I was afraid of everyone and everything. I'm like,
- 35:38Speaker 2: who my friends were hanging out with. I'm like, if
- 35:40Speaker 2: you're gonna be hanging out with that person, then you're
- 35:41Speaker 2: not coming this weekend, or you have to test before wow.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Because I was just worried that anything was gonna kill
- 35:47Speaker 2: my baby. I had to get on progesterone just to
- 35:50Speaker 2: have her survive because my levels were still not high enough.
- 35:55Speaker 1: I actually thought because my sister went through something very
- 35:58Speaker 1: similar and I watched her for you know a decade
- 36:01Speaker 1: have so many issues that I actually thought like it
- 36:05Speaker 1: would be very hard for me, but that luckily, like
- 36:09Speaker 1: that was one of the easiest things I had to
- 36:11Speaker 1: go through. I feel like I've had so many difficult
- 36:14Speaker 1: teas in life, but like, actually getting pregnant was the
- 36:18Speaker 1: easiest thing. It was a one time try. Yeah, we
- 36:21Speaker 1: were going on a trip to Italy and I was like, hey,
- 36:23Speaker 1: I think it's time. We've been married for almost a year, like,
- 36:26Speaker 1: let's do it. We did it one time, and I
- 36:29Speaker 1: got pregnant boom. And I had no problems during my
- 36:32Speaker 1: pregnancy and it was just like same, yeah, really good.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Other than back pain, I didn't get sick, and I
- 36:39Speaker 1: had We had a healthy baby, beautiful baby girl.
- 36:42Speaker 2: She's perfect.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Yeah, and so it's summer.
- 36:45Speaker 2: The worst thing in my pregnancy, I just had acid reflux.
- 36:47Speaker 2: I had like really gnarly like I would wake up
- 36:49Speaker 2: in the middle of the night and I'm like, oh,
- 36:51Speaker 2: it was like right here.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Especially when you're nine months pregnant. Yeah, yeah, but so
- 36:55Speaker 1: you might do it again.
- 36:58Speaker 2: I yes, I might have someone else carry the baby
- 37:01Speaker 2: for me, because now that I am turning forty, as
- 37:04Speaker 2: we've said, I got help syndrome. After I had her
- 37:08Speaker 2: like postpartum immediately they had to transfer me to the
- 37:10Speaker 2: high risk I see. It was really scary, so a
- 37:13Speaker 2: high chance of miscarriage and help syndrome again if I
- 37:16Speaker 2: were to try and get pregnant in my forties, and
- 37:18Speaker 2: I just don't want to take that chance. I don't
- 37:20Speaker 2: want to have to have a c section, deliver early,
- 37:23Speaker 2: worry that the baby's lungs aren't fully developed, worry that
- 37:27Speaker 2: I'm going to have another pregnancy loss. They are just
- 37:30Speaker 2: too many things that could go wrong that I'm not
- 37:33Speaker 2: willing to chance. So we would have to go a
- 37:35Speaker 2: surrogate route just to be extra safe. But it's crazy
- 37:40Speaker 2: because in twenty eighteen, I did Hollywood Medium with Tyler
- 37:45Speaker 2: Henry and I was thinking about freezing my eggs around then,
- 37:49Speaker 2: and anytime I had a psychic reading, I would always
- 37:51Speaker 2: ask like, what do you see future love interest babies? Da,
- 37:55Speaker 2: da da, And he said he saw me having a
- 37:58Speaker 2: child in an unconventional and I was like, that's crazy
- 38:03Speaker 2: you say that because I was thinking about freezing my
- 38:05Speaker 2: eggs right now, and he was like, you should do that,
- 38:07Speaker 2: and he's like, I don't know, like exactly what the
- 38:10Speaker 2: path is. But that's just one thing I see, and
- 38:13Speaker 2: who would know that. You know, I would have a
- 38:14Speaker 2: natural pregnancy but then have to go an unconventional route
- 38:18Speaker 2: the second round.
- 38:19Speaker 1: I'm a true believer in psychics.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, we talked about that. Yeah, I want
- 38:24Speaker 2: to set you up with one of mine.
- 38:26Speaker 1: I would love that little more than anything. Yeah, especially now. Yes,
- 38:30Speaker 1: I want to know so much about my future. I
- 38:33Speaker 1: am now open to the idea of having another child
- 38:37Speaker 1: in the future, not now. It's not the time that
- 38:40Speaker 1: I feel like once everything settles totally and you were
- 38:43Speaker 1: one and done with him, I was, Yeah, I was.
- 38:46Speaker 1: I couldn't imagine. And he actually, Jesse really wanted a
- 38:49Speaker 1: second child, and he used to push me and push me,
- 38:53Speaker 1: and at the same time we were fighting a lot.
- 38:55Speaker 1: So my mom that was like her one advice. She
- 38:57Speaker 1: was like, do whatever you want to me. She's like,
- 39:00Speaker 1: do not have a second child, and you like, just
- 39:03Speaker 1: promise me that because he wants to trap you even
- 39:07Speaker 1: more and it's going to be more difficult, So do
- 39:09Speaker 1: not have it until you guys are in a healthy,
- 39:12Speaker 1: better relationship. And so even though like at the time,
- 39:16Speaker 1: I wanted Isabella to have a sibling. I just didn't
- 39:19Speaker 1: feel that it was the right time for me or
- 39:22Speaker 1: with the right person again, which sounds odd to say, but.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but you knew, and thankfully you didn't have another
- 39:30Speaker 2: with him, you know, And now you can have another
- 39:32Speaker 2: with the right person.
- 39:34Speaker 1: I know. I'm so excited, and I don't.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Mind a big gap, to be honest. My sister and
- 39:38Speaker 2: are twelve years apart, and we're so close.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I it's funny because my brother's twelve years older and
- 39:45Speaker 1: my sister is nine years older, and I love it
- 39:47Speaker 1: and I'm so close to them. But like, even now,
- 39:51Speaker 1: I just worry about Isabella because she wants to play
- 39:54Speaker 1: with somebody now. But it isn't a big deal.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Over to play with summer. You have friends.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it isn't a big deal all. Yeah, And I
- 40:01Speaker 1: think it'll be easier for me because she'll be however old,
- 40:05Speaker 1: seventy eighty nine. She can help me.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 40:08Speaker 1: I'm excited about it.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Yeah, Holy try and plan it around the same time.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Imagine. I would love that, right, And I don't see
- 40:14Speaker 1: anything wrong with having a how do you call it surrogate? Yeah,
- 40:18Speaker 1: not at all, especially if you have health issues. I
- 40:20Speaker 1: know a lot of people who've done that, and I
- 40:23Speaker 1: think that's amazing, like having children, totally funny. I just
- 40:33Speaker 1: saw an interesting article about Seth Rogan and he was
- 40:38Speaker 1: in the studio with his co star Catherine Hahn, and
- 40:42Speaker 1: he was talking about how much he loves vander Pump Rules,
- 40:45Speaker 1: and he was saying he really emphasizes with Sheena the most.
- 40:50Speaker 1: I think out of everyone on the show, Sina's made
- 40:54Speaker 1: some bad mistakes over the years. She's chosen the wrong
- 40:56Speaker 1: guy a number of times. She just had things publicly
- 41:01Speaker 1: perhaps she shouldn't have said. She's maybe said some things
- 41:04Speaker 1: about her friends that she wishes she could take back publicly.
- 41:08Speaker 1: I do think ultimately Sheena's heart is in the right place,
- 41:11Speaker 1: and that is out of all of the people on
- 41:13Speaker 1: the show, something to be said. And so I like Sheena,
- 41:17Speaker 1: Oh my god, Lady Gaga and Seth Brogan, Oh my god,
- 41:21Speaker 1: I'm on, that's amazing.
- 41:22Speaker 2: You know what's so funny is the other day on Saturday,
- 41:25Speaker 2: I was at PINNs the bowling Alley, Yeah, and we
- 41:28Speaker 2: were there for a school birthday party and this woman,
- 41:31Speaker 2: oh my god, I can't even remember her name, she
- 41:34Speaker 2: comes up to me in the arcade and she's one
- 41:36Speaker 2: of Seth's best friends, and she tried to FaceTime his
- 41:40Speaker 2: wife because she's like, oh my god, I want to
- 41:42Speaker 2: surprise him with you. And then I was like, well,
- 41:44Speaker 2: I'll be here for a while, so if you get
- 41:46Speaker 2: a hold of them, like come back and find me.
- 41:48Speaker 2: And she never did.
- 41:49Speaker 1: That's amazing. Yeah, how does that feel to have like
- 41:53Speaker 1: Lady Gaga and a lister want to hang out with
- 41:57Speaker 1: you and is so excited to be with you.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Still can't get over it, to be honest, like, I'm
- 42:03Speaker 2: so excited.
- 42:04Speaker 1: I can't get o'bella. I cannot believe that.
- 42:06Speaker 2: No, So Seth I met, Oh my gosh, when was this?
- 42:10Speaker 2: It was probably ten years ago. It was like twenty fifteen.
- 42:12Speaker 2: I think we did a little spoof thing together. It
- 42:15Speaker 2: was vander pump Rules Meets the Night Before. It was
- 42:17Speaker 2: a movie that he did then, and there were four
- 42:21Speaker 2: of the cast members who came as if they were
- 42:22Speaker 2: going to like apply it, sir, and we filmed this
- 42:25Speaker 2: whole thing. It was me, JACKX, Kristen and Peter and
- 42:29Speaker 2: then the forecast from the movie. And there's a part
- 42:31Speaker 2: where Seth and I are literally singing the theme song together,
- 42:36Speaker 2: like as a ballad. Oh, it was so fun, Like
- 42:40Speaker 2: I will just go back and watch that randomly. That
- 42:42Speaker 2: was one of the most amazing things that I've ever done.
- 42:46Speaker 2: That had to do with vandr Pump Rules because Seth
- 42:48Speaker 2: Rogan has been one of my favorites forever. It's so
- 42:51Speaker 2: funny and to get to act with him, but as
- 42:54Speaker 2: myself it was so fun so the fact that he
- 42:58Speaker 2: said that I got to hit him up get into
- 43:01Speaker 2: some Shnanians do.
- 43:03Speaker 1: Yeah, let's ask you some questions. If you could trade
- 43:05Speaker 1: lives with any other celebrity for a day, who would
- 43:09Speaker 1: it be.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Ooh, I would love to get into a Kardashian life
- 43:16Speaker 2: for a day. I think Chloe Kardashian. Honestly, She's someone
- 43:21Speaker 2: I want to start modeling my life around. Like, what's
- 43:26Speaker 2: the word I'm looking for. I would say Chloe Kardashian
- 43:29Speaker 2: because she gets up at like four or five am
- 43:34Speaker 2: every day, works out, makes her kids lunch, takes them
- 43:38Speaker 2: to school, still is a boss ass bitch, has a podcast,
- 43:41Speaker 2: like does all of the things. But I just I
- 43:45Speaker 2: love her work ethic and her commitment, and I feel
- 43:49Speaker 2: like I need more of that in my life. So
- 43:50Speaker 2: I kind of want to go into summer's next school year,
- 43:55Speaker 2: modeling it around, like what would Chloe, do you know?
- 43:58Speaker 2: I want to get up early. I want to start
- 44:00Speaker 2: are working out at the beginning of my day because
- 44:03Speaker 2: once it's noon one, two pm, it's like I still
- 44:06Speaker 2: have to work out and it's so hard, whereas if
- 44:09Speaker 2: you just do it right when you wake up. So
- 44:12Speaker 2: I think I would like to be in her shoes
- 44:14Speaker 2: for a day to see, like, how the f do
- 44:16Speaker 2: you actually do that? Because it's incredible.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Okay, so let's just say, hey, Chloe Kardashian, if you're
- 44:21Speaker 1: hearing this, let's hang out. Yes, As a mom with
- 44:25Speaker 1: a busy schedule, what are your go to self care
- 44:28Speaker 1: routines to keep your mental health in check?
- 44:32Speaker 2: Ooh, go to? I do love getting a facial me too.
- 44:36Speaker 2: Our girl Kayla is incredible. So that's definitely a self
- 44:39Speaker 2: care thing I like to do.
- 44:40Speaker 1: I did one yesterday. Yeah, I really need it.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Looks so good.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Thank you. It's like two things in one. It's like
- 44:45Speaker 1: I get really nice skin and it's like very good
- 44:48Speaker 1: for my mental health.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Yes, and every time I go to Palm Springs, I
- 44:51Speaker 2: have this incredible person who comes over to give me
- 44:53Speaker 2: a massage. She stretches me out, and that's just like.
- 44:58Speaker 1: And I have somebody that always comes to my my house,
- 45:00Speaker 1: and I'm like, it's perfect. I get a massage right
- 45:03Speaker 1: before Ben and it's just so relaxing. Yeah, we're very
- 45:07Speaker 1: spaw girls, I know, totally.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Really, that's what I'm thinking. I wanted, like, if we'll
- 45:11Speaker 2: do a party on my actual birthday and then a
- 45:12Speaker 2: spa day the next day to just with a.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Psychic Yes, ooh wait, I love that me too.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Okay, that's a good one.
- 45:21Speaker 1: I've been hearing and reading a lot about Lisa vander
- 45:24Speaker 1: Pump recently expressing how you know, she doesn't talk to
- 45:29Speaker 1: everybody in the cast, and some people should be grateful
- 45:33Speaker 1: for her because she created a lot of people's careers
- 45:37Speaker 1: and whatnot.
- 45:38Speaker 2: I think a lot of us had careers, we were
- 45:41Speaker 2: already on the path to achieving. But also I think
- 45:45Speaker 2: it's a two way street, you know. I mean, vander
- 45:48Speaker 2: Pump Rules was so successful not just because of Lisa Vanderpump.
- 45:51Speaker 2: It was because of an incredible cast from the first
- 45:55Speaker 2: season who people really resonated with and wanted to follow
- 45:59Speaker 2: our journey. So, I mean, I'm incredibly grateful to Bravo,
- 46:05Speaker 2: you know, for giving me this opportunity and for seeing
- 46:08Speaker 2: something in me for eleven seasons as a story to tell,
- 46:11Speaker 2: and now that story continuing on the Valley. I will
- 46:15Speaker 2: always be grateful to the network.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Said, Yeah, well, I'm very excited because season two airs
- 46:22Speaker 1: in just.
- 46:22Speaker 2: A couple of days. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited.
- 46:26Speaker 2: I'm bummed that I wasn't around the first couple of
- 46:29Speaker 2: weeks because I was traveling and I missed some really
- 46:34Speaker 2: fun parties. But I'm like, I can't wait to watch.
- 46:36Speaker 1: But I literally had to call you and text you
- 46:39Speaker 1: all the time. I'm like, this happened, and this happened,
- 46:42Speaker 1: and yeah again, You've just been like so supportive, especially
- 46:46Speaker 1: because like this is kind of new to me, and
- 46:50Speaker 1: just I was dealing with a lot and I feel
