- 0:16Speaker 4: Many of you know him from as notes to Damas.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Of course, that Kevin Show is going to be great.
- 0:21Speaker 3: The only thing that could be greater, of course, would
- 0:22Speaker 3: be that Donald Show.
- 0:23Speaker 5: But we don't have that. So we have that Kevin.
- 0:25Speaker 6: Show, featuring the music of Dick Tunny and the Dream
- 0:30Speaker 6: in Color Orchestraw.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Straight at him.
- 0:42Speaker 6: Everything you need to know about the top headlines of
- 0:45Speaker 6: the day, and a perspective that will give you some
- 0:48Speaker 6: externity to it, plus practical tips for family life, spiritual life,
- 0:54Speaker 6: and good old regular life. It's Kevin McCullough Monday through
- 0:59Speaker 6: Friday on that Kevin Oh, and now from the Connors
- 1:09Speaker 6: and Sullivan Broadcast Studios. A man who is not what
- 1:13Speaker 6: he wants to be, but.
- 1:15Speaker 5: Is way grateful that is not who he used to be.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Here, all right, Kevin mccaullaugh, Very glad to have you
- 1:28Speaker 2: with us, and very grateful to be back with you
- 1:31Speaker 2: after a week away in which I did everything I
- 1:34Speaker 2: possibly could to not touch work. Look, I'm fifty six.
- 1:42Speaker 2: I don't know how many more years of having my
- 1:44Speaker 2: kids around I'm going to get. And so when we said, well,
- 1:47Speaker 2: we're going to take five days and just go somewhere
- 1:51Speaker 2: and be in solitude and quiet, I don't even think
- 1:56Speaker 2: I turned the cable news on once over the course
- 2:02Speaker 2: of the whole week. Now, please don't assume that I
- 2:06Speaker 2: stayed ignorant on what was happening. Was I did check
- 2:09Speaker 2: in and see different major headlines of the day and
- 2:12Speaker 2: what was going on and so forth. I always do that.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I feel like that's part of my job as just
- 2:17Speaker 2: being a good citizen. It's to be informed of what's
- 2:19Speaker 2: going on. But I really did try to unplug as
- 2:25Speaker 2: best I could. There were some people from the office
- 2:27Speaker 2: that kept emailing and texting and doing some other things.
- 2:31Speaker 2: But when if I really got frustrated, I just said, hey, guys,
- 2:33Speaker 2: I'm with my family, and then they backed off and everything.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Everything was wonderful. I'm very excited to be back. By
- 2:39Speaker 2: the way, We've got an exciting month of August straight
- 2:42Speaker 2: ahead and some very exciting things to tell you about.
- 2:45Speaker 2: And as we head right into the open enrollment season
- 2:49Speaker 2: of the year, I want to ask you straight up,
- 2:53Speaker 2: have you taken care of your health insurance. I don't
- 2:57Speaker 2: know about you, but I noticed that insurance prices over
- 3:01Speaker 2: the last several years have just skyrocketed like crazy, to
- 3:06Speaker 2: the degree that when we started back just after Obama
- 3:09Speaker 2: Care passed, we were in a plan where we could
- 3:13Speaker 2: get what was required by law, and we had enough
- 3:16Speaker 2: to cover the family. And it was tight, but we
- 3:19Speaker 2: did it, and we we had pretty good coverage. And
- 3:23Speaker 2: over time, as the rates went up, we lost coverage
- 3:27Speaker 2: on things and still could not do what needed to
- 3:32Speaker 2: be done to maintain, you know, even the basics. So
- 3:36Speaker 2: we switched to one of those sharing programs, and that
- 3:41Speaker 2: was interesting for a little bit. But then those rates
- 3:43Speaker 2: started going up and I just I was I was desperate.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I got to the point where I was desperate, and
- 3:49Speaker 2: I was looking around earlier this year and I stumbled
- 3:53Speaker 2: across DFW Direct Insurance, and I got to tell you,
- 3:57Speaker 2: I was blown away. First of all, they looked at
- 4:01Speaker 2: what we were currently doing for a family of five.
- 4:04Speaker 2: They deal, they have in their reach, They have twenty
- 4:09Speaker 2: of the top insurance companies in the country that they
- 4:13Speaker 2: work with, and they looked at my situation, and they said,
- 4:18Speaker 2: we think we can do better keV. And not only
- 4:21Speaker 2: did they save us nearly four hundred dollars a month,
- 4:24Speaker 2: they saved us money four hundred dollars a month, that's
- 4:26Speaker 2: what five thousand dollars a year close to it. But
- 4:29Speaker 2: then they also got us expanded coverage of what we
- 4:33Speaker 2: had had previously, and some of those sharing things they
- 4:37Speaker 2: don't always share the cost. And it's just crazy how
- 4:42Speaker 2: much it helped us. It's just not any other insurance
- 4:47Speaker 2: company or advertiser. This is a special They take a
- 4:50Speaker 2: special interest in you as a customer, and I use
- 4:54Speaker 2: them personally. So if you're self employed, or you have
- 4:56Speaker 2: a small business, or you're just paying too much and
- 4:58Speaker 2: you want to see if you can do better, call
- 5:01Speaker 2: Vic right now. Vic Pritchard is the proprietor of DFW
- 5:04Speaker 2: Direct Insurance. He's the owner and the proprietor. He gave
- 5:08Speaker 2: me his cell number and said I could give it
- 5:10Speaker 2: to you personally, So when you call him, you're going
- 5:14Speaker 2: to be calling him directly, not his office, not his staff.
- 5:18Speaker 2: They're all good people, by the way, but you're going
- 5:20Speaker 2: to call Victor personally. It's eight one seven four four
- 5:24Speaker 2: nine fifty five fifty seven, eight one seven, four four
- 5:28Speaker 2: nine fifty five fifty seven. You can also go online
- 5:31Speaker 2: to DFW Direct Insurance dot com. But eight one seven,
- 5:35Speaker 2: four four nine five five five seven eight one seven
- 5:38Speaker 2: four four nine fifty five fifty seven and tell Victor
- 5:41Speaker 2: that Kevin McCullough said hello and thank you for saving
- 5:45Speaker 2: me nearly five grand a year on health insurance for
- 5:48Speaker 2: my family of five and getting me more coverage. I
- 5:52Speaker 2: didn't know that that was possible. That's why I want
- 5:55Speaker 2: to tell you about it. Eight one seven, four four
- 5:57Speaker 2: nine fifty five fifty seven eight one ss fifty seven.
- 6:02Speaker 2: All right, couple of things that happened over the weekend.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I don't know if you stayed in I don't know
- 6:10Speaker 2: if anybody's staying in touch with what's going on with
- 6:12Speaker 2: the WNBA. Caitlin Clark didn't come out and do a
- 6:16Speaker 2: press conference after one of the games this weekend. I
- 6:18Speaker 2: don't really follow professional women's basketball. I don't know who does.
- 6:23Speaker 2: And I coached college women's basketball at one point for
- 6:26Speaker 2: a period of about four years. I was an assistant coach.
- 6:31Speaker 2: It's not that the game isn't good, but I don't
- 6:33Speaker 2: even watch the NBA that much anymore. And I was
- 6:35Speaker 2: a huge NBA fan back when Michael and Magic and
- 6:39Speaker 2: Larry and you know, Isaiah and all those guys were playing.
- 6:43Speaker 2: It seems to be not nearly the game that it
- 6:46Speaker 2: once was. But that's a different that's a different subject.
- 6:50Speaker 2: On the women's side, they're they're having great success with
- 6:54Speaker 2: the WNBA, but this weekend, three different coaches decided to
- 7:00Speaker 2: just for no reason at all, because Sophie Cunningham, who
- 7:06Speaker 2: is Caitlyn Clark's teammate, had come out last week and said,
- 7:11Speaker 2: or a couple of weeks ago and said that women's
- 7:14Speaker 2: sports are for women only and that's biological women, that
- 7:17Speaker 2: no men should be there. And I guess in kind
- 7:20Speaker 2: of response, you had these three coaches. So you had
- 7:24Speaker 2: the Indiana Fever coach, the coach who coaches Sophie and
- 7:28Speaker 2: Caitlin said, I don't know that. I would say I'm
- 7:32Speaker 2: educated enough from a scientific standpoint, educated enough at the
- 7:36Speaker 2: different levels to weigh in further, asking if she agreed
- 7:42Speaker 2: with not allowing men to participate in the women's NBA.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Then you had Portland Fire coach Alex Sarama, who an
- 7:53Speaker 2: hour earlier had said to be completely honest, I don't
- 7:57Speaker 2: think I've ever had to think about that a basketball
- 8:00Speaker 2: and a women's professional league had never once had occasion
- 8:02Speaker 2: to think that what makes the league unique is that
- 8:06Speaker 2: it's a women's league. So never given that any thought,
- 8:09Speaker 2: said Alex Sarama, I'm not a biologist. Part is kind
- 8:13Speaker 2: of the strangest, most awkward dodge, and they've turned it
- 8:18Speaker 2: into this entire institutional talking point. Well, we're not smart enough, really,
- 8:23Speaker 2: and this brings me back to the part that's not funny,
- 8:26Speaker 2: even though I've enjoyed making fun of it for most
- 8:30Speaker 2: of a column that I wrote on Sunday. These coaches
- 8:34Speaker 2: aren't confused. Nobody who has spent a career recruiting rosters,
- 8:39Speaker 2: negotiating scholarships, building game plans around the specific athletic realities
- 8:43Speaker 2: of women's basketball is secretly baffled by biological sex. One
- 8:48Speaker 2: of my jobs as the assistant coach for the women's
- 8:51Speaker 2: team at the college that I coached at was to
- 8:54Speaker 2: go get innermural male players to come and scrimmage against
- 9:00Speaker 2: the girls. To do what give them a tougher listen
- 9:06Speaker 2: to this, to give them a more difficult challenge in
- 9:10Speaker 2: the act of scrimmaging a challenge that would be harder
- 9:14Speaker 2: than their eventual game that week against an actual women's team.
- 9:20Speaker 2: And notice what I had to do. I didn't go
- 9:23Speaker 2: to the varsity team and bring those guys over to
- 9:27Speaker 2: scrimmage them. It would have been a blowout. I went
- 9:31Speaker 2: and had to pick intermural guys that were somewhat just
- 9:34Speaker 2: okay to get them to scrimmage. Friends. It's laughable, and
- 9:39Speaker 2: these head coaches in the women's NBA somehow confused about it.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Kevin mccallough, We've still got a lot straight ahead. It's
- 9:48Speaker 2: money Monday here at that Kevin's show.
- 9:50Speaker 7: Don't go anything.
- 10:08Speaker 8: Here.
- 10:08Speaker 3: He is from New York, Ken Kevin McCullough.
- 10:17Speaker 2: All right, welcome, Kevin McCollough back behind the microphone. Thank
- 10:21Speaker 2: you to Patrese and Meghan and Bethany and Michael and
- 10:24Speaker 2: Lou and anybody else that sat in for me last week,
- 10:28Speaker 2: Christine and Linda. I guess in the evenings, but I'm
- 10:30Speaker 2: grateful for the time away. I did almost no observing
- 10:35Speaker 2: of news. I did almost no keeping up with things.
- 10:38Speaker 2: In fact, I don't think we turned the television in
- 10:41Speaker 2: the hotel room on all week. On actual television programming.
- 10:44Speaker 2: So was I just I unplugged, necessarily grateful to have
- 10:49Speaker 2: such great people filling in for me, But I'm ready
- 10:51Speaker 2: to get back at it. I don't know if if
- 10:53Speaker 2: you come back from times away refreshed and ready to go,
- 10:57Speaker 2: But I spent the last couple of weeks kind of
- 10:59Speaker 2: remeditating over a couple of messages I heard from our
- 11:02Speaker 2: guests this week for How do We Live? The man
- 11:05Speaker 2: who kicked off the entire series with us, Ryan batesl
- 11:08Speaker 2: who's the lead pastor at Emergence Church in New Jersey,
- 11:12Speaker 2: and Ryan, it's good to have you back, Thanks for
- 11:14Speaker 2: being here.
- 11:15Speaker 9: Yeah, great to be back.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Kevin, hope you are well well. We say at this
- 11:20Speaker 2: point in the show, every day, if we are living
- 11:24Speaker 2: in the context that we didn't necessarily drop for ourselves,
- 11:28Speaker 2: that the society who doesn't really want to do anything
- 11:31Speaker 2: with God, doesn't really really doesn't want to do anything
- 11:34Speaker 2: with his word, kind of looks at us best case scenario,
- 11:37Speaker 2: with some suspicion. Worst case scenario, they just don't like us.
- 11:41Speaker 2: How do we, as people who wish to follow Jesus
- 11:45Speaker 2: live in the context of that culture? And I got
- 11:48Speaker 2: to hear on back to back weeks. You begin a
- 11:51Speaker 2: series of sermons that kicked off a series in the Psalms,
- 11:56Speaker 2: and we're really kind of what would you call this
- 11:59Speaker 2: the buildings of worship? It was kind of like the
- 12:02Speaker 2: basics one oh one of how to think about God
- 12:06Speaker 2: in the midst of worship. And you personally brought the
- 12:10Speaker 2: messages for someone in Psalm twenty seven. And then I
- 12:13Speaker 2: think you actually went away on some mission work and
- 12:16Speaker 2: some other things. So your your fine assistants have been
- 12:18Speaker 2: filling in. But I've caught the entire thing, and I
- 12:21Speaker 2: highly recommend people going over to Emergency Dot Church and
- 12:24Speaker 2: checking out the series on the Psalms. You will get
- 12:27Speaker 2: a lot from all of these. But I want to
- 12:29Speaker 2: I want to go the one that you said was
- 12:30Speaker 2: your favorite, which is Psalm twenty seven. And it may
- 12:35Speaker 2: sound familiar to some people, it may also be one
- 12:39Speaker 2: that we all really struggle with in a pretty big way.
- 12:42Speaker 2: But why is Psalm twenty seven your favorite? Ryan Batesel, I.
- 12:47Speaker 8: Love it because it deals with something that that our
- 12:51Speaker 8: culture is full of, that and that sphere, you know,
- 12:54Speaker 8: and and how to how to walk in a way
- 12:58Speaker 8: that honors the Lord not swallowed up in fear, and
- 13:03Speaker 8: you know, I feel like our world has learned, you know,
- 13:06Speaker 8: fear and anger keep people engaged, and the algorithms kind
- 13:12Speaker 8: of mastered it. And it's sad because people are swallowed
- 13:16Speaker 8: up by it. And a couple of years ago, so
- 13:19Speaker 8: with a group of pastors and one of the guys said,
- 13:22Speaker 8: I asked him a question about something about how it
- 13:25Speaker 8: works as church and you know, and.
- 13:27Speaker 9: I said, do you ever worry about what people? And
- 13:29Speaker 9: he just said to me.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I don't do fear.
- 13:31Speaker 8: And I'm like, I've never heard anyone just say it
- 13:35Speaker 8: like that, I don't do fear.
- 13:36Speaker 9: I was like, I don't even know if that's allowed.
- 13:38Speaker 9: Are you allowed to just say that?
- 13:41Speaker 8: And yet, amazingly, one of the things that was so
- 13:44Speaker 8: for me pivotal in that conversation was realizing there's a
- 13:49Speaker 8: difference between getting worried about something for a moment or
- 13:52Speaker 8: or even you know, scared, you know, something scary happens,
- 13:56Speaker 8: then actually walking with what the Bible calls the spirit
- 14:00Speaker 8: of fear.
- 14:00Speaker 9: That God didn't give to us. He's given us a
- 14:03Speaker 9: spirit of power love in us our mind.
- 14:05Speaker 8: And so I just think it's such a timely truth.
- 14:10Speaker 8: You know, probably one of the number one commands in
- 14:14Speaker 8: the Bible is some form of do not fear, and
- 14:18Speaker 8: so we need to hear it.
- 14:19Speaker 2: You know, Well, why don't we take a look at
- 14:21Speaker 2: the text itself and we'll kind of break this up
- 14:24Speaker 2: as we go along through the week. But what are
- 14:26Speaker 2: we looking at today?
- 14:28Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, I think that the starting place of
- 14:31Speaker 8: what we just talked about, that do not fear is
- 14:34Speaker 8: David starts out with the Lord is my life.
- 14:37Speaker 9: And my salvation. He's my stronghold, so I won't fear.
- 14:43Speaker 8: And really, maybe tomorrow we'll talk about how he gets
- 14:46Speaker 8: this heart, but I would say, here's the starting place,
- 14:49Speaker 8: and this is really, you know, some estimate over the
- 14:52Speaker 8: three hundred and fifty plus times or some form of
- 14:55Speaker 8: the command do not fear. The heart of do not
- 15:00Speaker 8: in the Bible is never do not fear because you're awesome,
- 15:05Speaker 8: or never do not fear because it's not scary.
- 15:09Speaker 3: In fact, David goes on to say.
- 15:11Speaker 8: Hey, even if an army's against me, you know, we
- 15:13Speaker 8: might have a tough week. No one tried to kill us,
- 15:16Speaker 8: and then entire army didn't try to kill us, right,
- 15:19Speaker 8: David goes on to say, even if my parents forsake me,
- 15:23Speaker 8: meaning he's looking at the worst possible stuff, the end
- 15:28Speaker 8: of his life, failure in his closest relationships, the stuff
- 15:32Speaker 8: we're really afraid of, right, and even there he looks
- 15:35Speaker 8: at those and goes, yet, I'm not afraid. And I
- 15:41Speaker 8: love this about biblical courage. Biblical courage is not the
- 15:44Speaker 8: denial of reality. It's not the denial of scary stuff.
- 15:49Speaker 8: It can actually this is how you know it's supernatural, Kevin.
- 15:52Speaker 8: It can actually look at the thing that's most scary,
- 15:55Speaker 8: the thing we fear the most, and still go what,
- 15:58Speaker 8: Here's the source of all courage.
- 16:00Speaker 9: The Lord is with me.
- 16:03Speaker 8: And this is what allows David when no one else
- 16:07Speaker 8: can walk on the battlefield and everyone else just sees Goliath.
- 16:11Speaker 8: That's scary, right if it's all Wes say, But David's
- 16:15Speaker 8: the one guy who goes, no, I won't fear the
- 16:17Speaker 8: Lord is with me.
- 16:18Speaker 2: He gets pretty granular in that description in verses two
- 16:22Speaker 2: and three that you just made reference to. And I
- 16:25Speaker 2: want to tear this apart like little bite at the time,
- 16:28Speaker 2: because this is I think it's significant the language. I've
- 16:31Speaker 2: written three books, I'm working on a fourth. It's it's
- 16:35Speaker 2: going to be a novel. The other three I wrote
- 16:37Speaker 2: were commentaries on public life. But this is I'm learning
- 16:40Speaker 2: that language means more and more, and so really getting
- 16:44Speaker 2: into the crevice sometimes unlocks things for us. But David
- 16:47Speaker 2: says specifically, when the wicked advance against me. Okay, so
- 16:51Speaker 2: we've probably on all you know, all of us so
- 16:55Speaker 2: at some point have felt someone opposed us on something,
- 16:57Speaker 2: and I think more often than not, we've probably thought
- 17:00Speaker 2: they were evil because they were opposing my opinion of
- 17:04Speaker 2: it whatever. But then he goes, sometimes, yeah, and sometimes
- 17:08Speaker 2: they were that's true. I think if we're faithful to
- 17:10Speaker 2: the Hebrew. Here he's talking about like one person being
- 17:14Speaker 2: having a war set against them. It's not like his
- 17:16Speaker 2: army is going up against their army. It's like he's
- 17:20Speaker 2: using the language here of really truly being isolated and
- 17:24Speaker 2: completely alone and completely And you're right, Ryan, no one
- 17:28Speaker 2: tried to kill me this week. I'm sure that my
- 17:31Speaker 2: wife or kids maybe wanted to a couple of times.
- 17:34Speaker 2: But it's not something that we are accustomed to facing.
- 17:37Speaker 2: But he's using very specific language here, and he's going
- 17:40Speaker 2: deeper with each description. Why is that important?
- 17:43Speaker 8: I think what it shows us is that true Biblical
- 17:48Speaker 8: courage can look at anything. You know, most psychology what
- 17:54Speaker 8: it'll tell you to do as far as I understand it.
- 17:56Speaker 9: And I will confess I'm not a psychologist.
- 18:00Speaker 8: I was getting my grad degree in adolescent psychology before
- 18:04Speaker 8: I got hired at a church. But most psychology will
- 18:07Speaker 8: give us some tips in fear, some breathing exercises and
- 18:13Speaker 8: and some some tools that can be really helpful, and
- 18:17Speaker 8: even some things about, you know, putting your fear in
- 18:19Speaker 8: perspective in some ways, shrinking what you're afraid of, not
- 18:24Speaker 8: seeing it as big as it truly is. What's amazing
- 18:27Speaker 8: to me. Have biblical courage, it does the opposite. It's like, okay,
- 18:31Speaker 8: let's look at how truly scary this could be, how
- 18:36Speaker 8: truly devastating this could be. And still even at it's
- 18:41Speaker 8: most scary, a whole army, right, the Lord's with me.
- 18:46Speaker 8: And if the Lord is with me, this is this
- 18:48Speaker 8: is all true courage. Then I can do anything I can.
- 18:51Speaker 8: I can face anything, whether that's a bad diagnosis, betrayal
- 18:57Speaker 8: at work, my family falling apart. Biblical courage will never
- 19:05Speaker 8: calls to live in denial. Biblical courage will never call
- 19:10Speaker 8: us to suppress reality. Biblical courage is I think the
- 19:16Speaker 8: only way to look at the horror and the fear
- 19:20Speaker 8: of life, which is real, and yet go the one
- 19:24Speaker 8: who's with me is greater than this, and so who
- 19:28Speaker 8: shall I fear?
- 19:29Speaker 9: Wow?
- 19:30Speaker 2: I don't know, friend, those of you listening, I don't
- 19:33Speaker 2: know who needs to hear this this week, but I
- 19:35Speaker 2: think this is definitely the right conversation to have. And
- 19:38Speaker 2: I'm so grateful Ryan that you've come on board to
- 19:41Speaker 2: be with us again. We're going to look at this
- 19:44Speaker 2: entire chapter. Here's what I would ask those of you
- 19:46Speaker 2: listening to do. Take some time each day this week
- 19:49Speaker 2: and read through Psalm twenty seven. It's not super long,
- 19:52Speaker 2: it's pretty easy to get through. It's fourteen verses. There's
- 19:56Speaker 2: some good stuff in here, and we've just scratched the surface.
- 19:59Speaker 2: But Ryan, now understand why that pastor told you that
- 20:03Speaker 2: at your gathering a couple of years ago, he doesn't
- 20:06Speaker 2: do fear? Why why doesn't he do fear? Because not
- 20:09Speaker 2: up to him. He doesn't do fear because the Lord
- 20:12Speaker 2: is with him. And that's that's If we don't get
- 20:15Speaker 2: anything outside of this week, I want people to latch
- 20:18Speaker 2: onto that because I've been thinking about that more and
- 20:21Speaker 2: I think it actually helps put the fear down and
- 20:26Speaker 2: to remember that he is He is the one who
- 20:28Speaker 2: is with us. Ryan batesl Emergence Dot Church in Totowood,
- 20:32Speaker 2: New Jersey. If you want to join them for Sunday
- 20:34Speaker 2: morning worship services and a Thursday night service as well,
- 20:38Speaker 2: appreciate it. Ryan, looking forward to a great week.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Thanks Kevin, You got it.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Kevin McCullough coming back from New York. Yeah, we got
- 20:43Speaker 2: a lot to get to. Don't go away.
- 20:47Speaker 9: Stick around for.
- 20:48Speaker 3: More of that, Kevin.
- 20:50Speaker 10: Next here he is from New York.
- 21:11Speaker 2: That Kevin McCullough. All right, Kevin McCullough, Glad to have
- 21:19Speaker 2: you with us. Thank you for being here. You know,
- 21:21Speaker 2: one of the things I like to keep my eyes
- 21:23Speaker 2: on all the time is technology and social media has
- 21:28Speaker 2: changed everything. I think we can all agree with that.
- 21:30Speaker 2: In fact, I was reminded of that this weekend when
- 21:33Speaker 2: I saw this story. Do you remember the term called MySpace?
- 21:39Speaker 2: It was where I think it was initially kind of
- 21:41Speaker 2: designed for musicians to kind of put up their songs
- 21:45Speaker 2: online and people could like them and share them and
- 21:47Speaker 2: that sort of thing. If they were songwriters obviously Spotify
- 21:52Speaker 2: and a whole bunch of other places overtook that in
- 21:55Speaker 2: terms of digital music, and Facebook kind of came along
- 21:59Speaker 2: with the same time and stole kind of the MySpace
- 22:03Speaker 2: social networking aspect away and kind of improved upon it.
- 22:07Speaker 2: And so MySpace has been dead, literally dead, like stick
- 22:11Speaker 2: a fork in them. They're gone for nearly two decades,
- 22:17Speaker 2: but their owners are seeking a fresh start. Tim and
- 22:20Speaker 2: Chris Vanderhook announced plans to relaunch MySpace with a new vision.
- 22:24Speaker 2: The brothers said they want to create a platform that
- 22:26Speaker 2: feels different from current social media platforms, which many users
- 22:29Speaker 2: complain are too focused on algorithms and are designed to
- 22:32Speaker 2: encourage unless scrolling. The Vanderhook said in a new documentary
- 22:36Speaker 2: MySpace that they built an entirely new one, but it
- 22:41Speaker 2: did not work out, and then so we really tried
- 22:45Speaker 2: to modernize it, but it was a different company at
- 22:47Speaker 2: that point. It wasn't the same MySpace. Chris added, by
- 22:50Speaker 2: that time they had been through four sets of management
- 22:53Speaker 2: and CEOs. We were going to be the fifth ones,
- 22:55Speaker 2: and I think there were a lot of people who
- 22:58Speaker 2: were really just done. The two now plan to relaunch
- 23:01Speaker 2: the platform at some point, but a target data has
- 23:04Speaker 2: not been set and if that one doesn't work, we'll
- 23:05Speaker 2: do it again. Tim said, So my Space, a place
- 23:08Speaker 2: for friends, is coming back, which reminds me that you
- 23:14Speaker 2: don't have to settle for these broken social media options.
- 23:18Speaker 2: In fact, if you're looking for an entertainment source that
- 23:22Speaker 2: the whole family can actually agree upon, let me tell
- 23:25Speaker 2: you about Ekel. Ekkl dot com. Ekel it's a product
- 23:31Speaker 2: of the Duck Dynasty people. Duck Dynasty, Willie and Corey Robertson,
- 23:35Speaker 2: they all teamed up with Ekel to create a brand new,
- 23:38Speaker 2: one of a kind streaming platform built around faith and family.
- 23:43Speaker 2: And they didn't just lend their name to it, they
- 23:44Speaker 2: helped build it from the ground up. You can get movies, series,
- 23:49Speaker 2: stuff that you'll want to watch with your kids, friends, neighbors.
- 23:52Speaker 2: You get podcasts that make your commute a little more exciting,

- 24:06Speaker 2: how you're spending your time and connecting with the community
- 24:09Speaker 2: that shares your values. One platform, one community, entertainment that
- 24:13Speaker 2: fits how you live and what you believe. The best part,

- 24:29Speaker 2: better than the defunct MySpace if you can. I was
- 24:35Speaker 2: kind of like dragging screaming in terms of how I
- 24:38Speaker 2: got dragged over to to eventually become Facebook, which I
- 24:41Speaker 2: still don't really use that much now. I mostly use
- 24:43Speaker 2: Instagram and TikTok and Twitter or x whatever you call it.
- 24:47Speaker 2: But if you want to join any of my socials,
- 24:49Speaker 2: you can go to that kevinshow dot com. I'm on
- 24:52Speaker 2: all of them and you can join any of them

- 24:58Speaker 2: But please join us because we are posting stuff on
- 25:01Speaker 2: the daily and we've got some exciting things that are
- 25:04Speaker 2: coming up just around the corner there as well. And
- 25:07Speaker 2: that reminds me of one other great sponsor that we have.
- 25:11Speaker 2: If you have not yet been to Dominion dot chat.

- 25:35Speaker 2: Claude or some of these guys, what you know, I'm
- 25:38Speaker 2: feeling depressed? How should I think about it? You're just
- 25:41Speaker 2: going to get mirrored pop psychology back on the person
- 25:45Speaker 2: without any kind of nuance. Dominion dot chat will take
- 25:51Speaker 2: that same person and point them to truth, ultimate truth.
- 25:54Speaker 2: But it has also got everything else today I had.
- 25:56Speaker 2: You want to know how to change your sparkplay, you

- 26:34Speaker 2: where you go for that. And when we come back,
- 26:37Speaker 2: we're going to delve back into the effort to try
- 26:40Speaker 2: to get Bibles to those who are needing them around
- 26:43Speaker 2: the globe. I want to say thank you to Michael
- 26:46Speaker 2: Woolworth who set in for me a couple of days
- 26:48Speaker 2: last week. We are now over the one thousand. In fact,
- 26:51Speaker 2: we're over the eleven hundred Bibles supplied mark, which I'm
- 26:56Speaker 2: very thankful for. That means eleven hundred individuals will be
- 26:59Speaker 2: getting by because of our efforts. They are only five
- 27:02Speaker 2: dollars apiece, and for every Bible that goes out, a
- 27:05Speaker 2: Bible League is able to safely, conservatively guarantee that twelve
- 27:10Speaker 2: people have come to faith in Jesus because of it.
- 27:12Speaker 2: So it's an eternal cause in my opinion. If you're
- 27:16Speaker 2: not a believer, that's not something that you're probably all
- 27:19Speaker 2: that worried about. But if you are, friends, we need
- 27:21Speaker 2: your help. There are ten thousand Bibles needed. We're eleven hundred.
- 27:25Speaker 2: We've got some time, but I don't want to run out.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Please help us right now. One eight hundred yes word
- 27:31Speaker 2: one eight hundred yes word or go to that kevinshow
- 27:34Speaker 2: dot com click the banner at the top of the page.
- 27:36Speaker 2: It's that kevinshow dot com and coming up next hour,
- 27:40Speaker 2: what's going on with the NBA. Why are coaches there
- 27:44Speaker 2: going crazy in the Women's National Basketball Association. We'll talk
- 27:49Speaker 2: about it.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Stay with us here.
- 28:08Speaker 10: He is from New York. Exact Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Welcome back, one eight hundred Yes, word is the number,
- 28:18Speaker 2: one eight hundred yees w r D. Kevin McCullough. Glad
- 28:21Speaker 2: to have you with us. It's that Kevin Show, that
- 28:23Speaker 2: kevinshow dot com. If you want to give online, click
- 28:26Speaker 2: the Bible League banner at the top of the page.
- 28:28Speaker 2: But we're supplying bibles for people who are desperate to
- 28:32Speaker 2: get them but can't don't have access to them. It's
- 28:36Speaker 2: like it's I don't know, Michael Woolworth from Bible League.
- 28:41Speaker 2: I kind of think of it.
- 28:41Speaker 8: It's like.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Being somewhere where you desperately, like have you ever really
- 28:46Speaker 2: been thirsty? Like you've been out all day and you
- 28:49Speaker 2: just don't have any water handy, and it's like you're
- 28:51Speaker 2: gonna have to go somewhere to get some water. It
- 28:53Speaker 2: may not even be cold water, maybe room temperature water,
- 28:56Speaker 2: but that water, once you are able to drink it,
- 28:58Speaker 2: it's going to mean so much to you. That's kind
- 29:00Speaker 2: of spiritually how these Christians are. They're in places where
- 29:04Speaker 2: they can't get the Word of God in their language,
- 29:08Speaker 2: in their hands, for their homes, for their lives, for
- 29:10Speaker 2: their hearts, and Bible he can and we're just asking them,
- 29:14Speaker 2: will you help us? Will you help us get the
- 29:15Speaker 2: Bibles to them? That may be an oversimplification, but it's
- 29:19Speaker 2: really how I kind of view it.
- 29:20Speaker 11: Well, you know, if you were tackling, if you and
- 29:21Speaker 11: I were tackling human hunger today, Kevin, what happens if
- 29:25Speaker 11: you don't eventually eat, you know, eventually you want, you'll
- 29:27Speaker 11: starve to death. I don't think it's a stretch to
- 29:29Speaker 11: say that a a Christian who goes without God's precious
- 29:34Speaker 11: Word is in some way spiritually malnourished. You know, I know,
- 29:38Speaker 11: I'm a friend that spirit is suffering with anemia. Right,
- 29:43Speaker 11: he takes medication. When his body is fortified with that
- 29:47Speaker 11: mineral that he needs, right, his life is that much better.
- 29:50Speaker 6: Right.
- 29:51Speaker 11: And again, the spiritual nourishment of the Word is what
- 29:53Speaker 11: these Christians are after, Kevin. I travel the world. We
- 29:56Speaker 11: have friends that fund those trips. I talk to these
- 29:59Speaker 11: end users of Bible League study materials and Bibles. Never
- 30:02Speaker 11: have they said, get on that Kevin Show, pray for
- 30:05Speaker 11: an end to our suffering. They know what God's working
- 30:08Speaker 11: through it. What they're asking is what help us to
- 30:11Speaker 11: love God with every fiber of our being, to obey
- 30:13Speaker 11: Him in every circumstance. If we face persecution, pray that
- 30:17Speaker 11: we'll see those around us not as the enemy, but
- 30:20Speaker 11: as the mission field.
- 30:21Speaker 9: And then the course.
- 30:22Speaker 11: They're quick to say, what we need God's precious word.
- 30:24Speaker 11: We need that to be able to grow. And so, Kevin,
- 30:26Speaker 11: that's why we've joined together. We have identified just north
- 30:30Speaker 11: of ten thousand waiting believers that we know by name
- 30:32Speaker 11: of Bible. These are men, these are women, teenagers in
- 30:35Speaker 11: some cases, who have come to saving faith where God
- 30:38Speaker 11: has them planting. It's nearly impossible to find a Bible.
- 30:42Speaker 11: But again that's where our listeners to that Kevin Show
- 30:44Speaker 11: and WMCA tuned in all over the country today right
- 30:48Speaker 11: are able to step into the stories of these believers
- 30:50Speaker 11: and send them exactly what they're praying for. Again, that's
- 30:53Speaker 11: not pity, it's not protections, it's what it's the precious
- 30:55Speaker 11: Word of God.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Five dollars per copy helps put Bibles into the hands
- 31:00Speaker 2: of the people that need them. And I was just thinking.
- 31:04Speaker 2: My pastor this last week was teaching on Psalm twenty seven,
- 31:08Speaker 2: and he was talking about how that's where the writer
- 31:12Speaker 2: in Psalms lays out what's what he calls a path
- 31:14Speaker 2: to a courageous life, and it says, I won't be afraid.
- 31:18Speaker 2: I won't I won't be I will choose not to
- 31:19Speaker 2: be afraid of armies or people who wish to kill
- 31:23Speaker 2: me or you know, those to eat the flesh off
- 31:26Speaker 2: my bones, which is kind of a gross thing, but
- 31:29Speaker 2: that's that's what the writer says. Instead, he will put
- 31:33Speaker 2: his faith in Jesus. But there's another good thing that
- 31:36Speaker 2: being scared sometimes does. It opens up the opportunity for
- 31:40Speaker 2: the courageous Christian to live courageously. And when I think
- 31:44Speaker 2: of courageous Christians, I think of Christians in North Korea.
- 31:47Speaker 2: I think of Christians behind the bamboo curtain in China.
- 31:50Speaker 2: I think of Christians that are in majority Muslim countries,
- 31:55Speaker 2: that are within, you know, risking their lives by not
- 32:01Speaker 2: just believing in the God of the Bible, but sometimes
- 32:04Speaker 2: telling other people about him as well. And I think
- 32:07Speaker 2: of those that have chosen not to live a life
- 32:10Speaker 2: of fear, but they choose instead to live a life
- 32:13Speaker 2: that says, I will trust God, for He is my
- 32:15Speaker 2: Light and my salvation. And what these Christians, the courageous
- 32:19Speaker 2: Christians that I'm talking about, what they are, what they
- 32:22Speaker 2: are asking for is not a fear free life or
- 32:27Speaker 2: a scared free life. They're asking for God's word to
- 32:32Speaker 2: do what to help make them courageous in the face
- 32:36Speaker 2: of what they are scared of? And I thought, what
- 32:40Speaker 2: an incredible application to us who have nothing to lose
- 32:44Speaker 2: by just supplying bibles. It's just a few dollars out
- 32:46Speaker 2: of our pocket. Everybody listening probably has ten bucks that
- 32:50Speaker 2: they can say, Hey, I could do two bibles right now,
- 32:52Speaker 2: just take them and go send to them. But there
- 32:54Speaker 2: are many of us that should do a good deal
- 32:56Speaker 2: more than that. One eight hundred yes word, one eight
- 32:58Speaker 2: hundred yes word. Give them the urageous key today, God's
- 33:03Speaker 2: word to help them live courageously in the face of
- 33:05Speaker 2: what they are facing. Now we're talking about places all
- 33:09Speaker 2: over the world, Michael, all over the world.
- 33:11Speaker 11: Well in Venezuela. Let me take you to Caracas. Just
- 33:14Speaker 11: outside of Caracas. This is the place of course, where
- 33:17Speaker 11: the terrible earthquakes hit only weeks ago. I think they're
- 33:20Speaker 11: still trying to get an accounting of how many people
- 33:23Speaker 11: have been killed and how many are still missing. Right,
- 33:25Speaker 11: But that's the setting for this next story. I want
- 33:27Speaker 11: to tell you about a group of Christians putting everything
- 33:31Speaker 11: on the line to rescue women from the groups of
- 33:33Speaker 11: human trafficking.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Kevin.
- 33:34Speaker 11: The drug cartels really rule the day down there. They
- 33:37Speaker 11: funnel a lot of drugs through prostitution rings. Where do
- 33:40Speaker 11: they come up with the women for that, Well, they
- 33:42Speaker 11: forced them into it, right. These are girls eleven, twelve,
- 33:45Speaker 11: thirteen years of age forced into prostitution by the drug cartels.
- 33:49Speaker 11: They live in absolute, utter hopelessness. There was a church
- 33:53Speaker 11: that said, you know, we've got to do something about this, right,
- 33:55Speaker 11: So they worked with another ministry to learn how to
- 33:57Speaker 11: forcibly rescue these women from a human trafficking. They worked
- 34:02Speaker 11: with Bible League to be able to introduce these women
- 34:04Speaker 11: to the hope of the Gospel once they were brought
- 34:06Speaker 11: to a place of safety. They have paid a price
- 34:08Speaker 11: for this, Kevin. In a recent rescue attempt, one of
- 34:11Speaker 11: the members of that church was killed by the cartel.
- 34:13Speaker 11: They dragged his corpse behind a truck down one of
- 34:16Speaker 11: the main streets just outside of Caracas of Venezuela's send
- 34:20Speaker 11: the message to what don't mess with the cartel. But again,
- 34:22Speaker 11: this church days focused on what they believe God has
- 34:25Speaker 11: called them to do. They have rescued to date almost
- 34:28Speaker 11: one hundred and twenty women again who lived in utter
- 34:32Speaker 11: hopelessness right and are now in a place of safety.
- 34:35Speaker 11: They've come to saving faith. All one hundred and twenty
- 34:37Speaker 11: of those women have come to saving faith.
- 34:39Speaker 9: Kevin.
- 34:39Speaker 11: They're members of our spiritual family. Now, look here in America,
- 34:42Speaker 11: if you had a loved one, a child, an adult child,
- 34:45Speaker 11: maybe an old college roommate who came to saving faith,
- 34:47Speaker 11: you would do anything to get them a Bible so
- 34:50Speaker 11: that you could see them begin to grow in grace
- 34:52Speaker 11: right to read about the God who loves them and listen.
- 34:55Speaker 11: Even though these are you know, these are women, you
- 34:58Speaker 11: know a few miles from us. That doesn't take away
- 35:01Speaker 11: the opportunity that we have in the moment and the
- 35:03Speaker 11: joy that will come is you send the Bible to
- 35:05Speaker 11: these new creations in Christ. Just outside of Caracas, Venezuela.
- 35:11Speaker 12: In Latin America, there are violence Only rich people have safety,
- 35:16Speaker 12: has security. Poor neighborhoods are full of corruption, at full
- 35:21Speaker 12: of misery, at full of poverty, and criminals are almost
- 35:26Speaker 12: at home when they are in the streets. Pastors and
- 35:30Speaker 12: Christian workers face with that problems. Attackers, drops, thieves, gangs.
- 35:39Speaker 3: So that's the problem.
- 35:41Speaker 2: You can help solve that problem by sending a copy
- 35:43Speaker 2: of God's Word right now one eight hundred yes word
- 35:46Speaker 2: or go to that kevinshow dot com and click the
- 35:48Speaker 2: Bible League manner at the top of the.
- 35:50Speaker 13: Page serving it up. That's a no drink MINTI. It's
- 36:06Speaker 13: that Kevin Show.
- 36:11Speaker 2: All right, Kevin mcpellaugh. You know, we have not we
- 36:14Speaker 2: have not reached our goal, our early goal of three
- 36:19Speaker 2: thousand Bibles that we want to get into people's hands
- 36:23Speaker 2: before the end of August. We have a goal of
- 36:25Speaker 2: getting to three thousand Bibles before August is done. But
- 36:29Speaker 2: we are well on our way. Eleven hundred and ninety
- 36:32Speaker 2: I think are what we've gotten so far, and that's
- 36:35Speaker 2: over twelve thousand people whose lives are going to be
- 36:39Speaker 2: impacted by the truth of those copies of the scriptures
- 36:42Speaker 2: just because of you. So if you've if you've been
- 36:45Speaker 2: one of them that's already given one of the eleven
- 36:47Speaker 2: hundred and ninety Bibles. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 36:53Speaker 2: That is that is so generous, and you're touching people's lives.
- 36:56Speaker 2: And for every Bible that goes out, I've told you
- 36:59Speaker 2: this repeatedly. Bible League is over eighty nine years. They've
- 37:05Speaker 2: tracked this and a conservative estimate, which I appreciate because
- 37:11Speaker 2: that means they're not overstating the case, but they likely
- 37:15Speaker 2: could state bigger numbers. But a conservative estimate of how
- 37:19Speaker 2: many people have come to know Jesus Christ because of
- 37:22Speaker 2: Bible Leagues going out are about twelve conversions to Christ
- 37:27Speaker 2: for every Bible that gets shipped. And if you're not
- 37:31Speaker 2: a believer, that probably doesn't mean much to you, but
- 37:35Speaker 2: if you are friends, that is the single best way.
- 37:39Speaker 2: We're talking a lot today about the news of the
- 37:44Speaker 2: you know, migration and the overrunning in Spain and the
- 37:49Speaker 2: discouraging you know, things that are happening in Muslim dominated
- 37:53Speaker 2: areas of the world and so forth. You want to
- 37:56Speaker 2: see real effect happen. Help get believers in those same areas,
- 38:01Speaker 2: actual copies of the scriptures, because when they have them
- 38:04Speaker 2: in their hands, for every Bible that goes out, twelve
- 38:06Speaker 2: people come to know Jesus on average. That's on average.
- 38:09Speaker 2: In some places it's more. And these are places in
- 38:13Speaker 2: people that don't have access to Bibles and can't get
- 38:16Speaker 2: their hands on them. And that's why it is so
- 38:19Speaker 2: so special for us to be part of this. Every
- 38:21Speaker 2: single year. You just go to one eight hundred yes
- 38:25Speaker 2: word with your phone, one eight hundred y e s word,
- 38:30Speaker 2: one eight hundred yes word. Just dial that number. Whatever
- 38:34Speaker 2: dollar amount you decide to give, say it's one hundred dollars,
- 38:38Speaker 2: you divide that by five, which is the cost of
- 38:40Speaker 2: each bible. That's twenty bibles. Then you multiply that times twelve,
- 38:45Speaker 2: which turns into two hundred and forty people. That's how
- 38:48Speaker 2: many people the Bibles you just gave will end up
- 38:52Speaker 2: leading to Christ in the duration of the time that
- 38:55Speaker 2: that Bible exists. Friends, it's an incredible it's an incredible
- 38:59Speaker 2: investment in the Kingdom to send bibles from Bible League
- 39:03Speaker 2: one eight hundred yes word, one eight hundred yes word,
- 39:07Speaker 2: one eight hundred yes Word. Now there are those of
- 39:09Speaker 2: you that would like to give online, that's super easy
- 39:11Speaker 2: as well. Just go to that kevinshow dot com. That
- 39:14Speaker 2: kevinshow dot com. Click the Bible League banner that's at
- 39:17Speaker 2: the top of the page on the homepage. It's super
- 39:19Speaker 2: easy to see. There's a beautiful African woman there holding
- 39:24Speaker 2: a Bible and she has a big smile in her
- 39:26Speaker 2: hand because she's so thrilled with joy. She's prayed for
- 39:30Speaker 2: a Bible for years and someone finally was able to
- 39:32Speaker 2: bring her one and she just couldn't hold back. So
- 39:37Speaker 2: go to that kevinshow dot com, click on the Bible
- 39:39Speaker 2: League banner at the top of the page, and then
- 39:41Speaker 2: be as generous as you can, really if you can,
- 39:43Speaker 2: if you can give, if you can give like one
- 39:48Speaker 2: hundred and fifty dollars, you're going to impact what is
- 39:52Speaker 2: that thirty thirty lives that will get the Bibles and
- 39:56Speaker 2: then times twelve, that's three hundred and sixty people. You
- 39:59Speaker 2: want to reach a person today for Jesus for the
- 40:03Speaker 2: coming year. Like a real easy way to think about it.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Give thirty Bibles to Bible League and three hundred and
- 40:09Speaker 2: sixty people will come to Christ in the following years.
- 40:13Speaker 2: So that's like a person today one eight hundred, yes word,
- 40:18Speaker 2: one eight hundred yes word one eight hundred yees word,
- 40:22Speaker 2: more news, more money, discussion, all of it straight ahead.
- 40:25Speaker 2: It's That Kevin Show, and we don't want you to
- 40:27Speaker 2: go anywhere, because we've got a whole another hour straight ahead,

- 40:56Speaker 2: also not sleeping.
- 40:57Speaker 9: Okay radio show.
- 40:58Speaker 3: It's Kevin and the.
- 40:59Speaker 6: Car and that guy would like a word review.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Many of you know him whom as looks for Damas.
- 41:05Speaker 3: Of course, that Kevin Show is going to be great.
- 41:07Speaker 2: The only thing that could be.
- 41:08Speaker 5: Greater, of course, would be that Donald Show.
- 41:10Speaker 8: We don't have that.
- 41:10Speaker 6: So we have That Kevin Show featuring the music of
- 41:14Speaker 6: Dick Tunney and the Dream in Color Orchestra, straight ahead,
- 41:28Speaker 6: everything you need to know about the top headlines of
- 41:31Speaker 6: the day, and a perspective that will give you some
- 41:34Speaker 6: eternity to it, plus practical tips for family life, spiritual life,
- 41:40Speaker 6: and good old regular life. It's Kevin McCollough Monday through
- 41:45Speaker 6: Friday on That Kevin Show and now from the Connors
- 41:56Speaker 6: in Sullivan Broadcast Studios, the man who is not what
- 41:59Speaker 6: he wants to be, but he is way grateful that
- 42:03Speaker 6: is not who.
- 42:03Speaker 9: He used to be.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Here, all right, Kevin mccalloch, I'll be with us. Thank
- 42:12Speaker 2: you for being here. We've got a lot to get
- 42:16Speaker 2: to and so proud, so thankful, so grateful to have
- 42:20Speaker 2: had such good friends step up to the microphone last
- 42:23Speaker 2: weekend and say, keV, we'll take the show for the
- 42:27Speaker 2: week so that you can have some time away with
- 42:29Speaker 2: your family. It is wonderful to feel the friendship of
- 42:33Speaker 2: Michael Woolworth and Lou Bassinice who wanted to ended up
- 42:37Speaker 2: not being able to Patresea on Wuoka, Megan Mobs, Bethany
- 42:42Speaker 2: Mandel and all of them did a stellar job. I
- 42:45Speaker 2: haven't heard the full show of all five of them,
- 42:48Speaker 2: but I've heard snippets of all of them, and I
- 42:51Speaker 2: think they did just an excellent job. So ladies, thank you, Michael,
- 42:55Speaker 2: thank you, and Lou better luck next time. That's all
- 42:58Speaker 2: that's all I have to say it, all right. So,
- 43:03Speaker 2: having said that, we've got some great and exciting things
- 43:07Speaker 2: going on here at the show. And if you have
- 43:10Speaker 2: not heard, there is a terrific talkers contest that is
- 43:14Speaker 2: going to be coming up very very soon. Be going
- 43:17Speaker 2: to that kevinshow dot com and clicking the promotions tab
- 43:21Speaker 2: for it. But here's what. You have the chance to
- 43:24Speaker 2: win an all expense paid trip to New York City
- 43:29Speaker 2: to come and visit me while we do the show,
- 43:32Speaker 2: to grab dinner and to do some other fun things
- 43:35Speaker 2: in New York City while you're here, and we'll pay
- 43:38Speaker 2: for your airfare, we'll pay for your hotel, We'll give
- 43:40Speaker 2: you a great time. You'll get to tour the Salem
- 43:43Speaker 2: News Channel and the Salem Radio Networks studios, and we
- 43:50Speaker 2: will we'll spend some time breaking bread and talking about
- 43:53Speaker 2: news and other things as you wish. We did this
- 43:56Speaker 2: last year and the response was overwhelming. If you would
- 43:59Speaker 2: like to try to win a chance to come to
- 44:01Speaker 2: New York and see MOI, which I don't assume anybody
- 44:06Speaker 2: wants to, but if you do so want to, it
- 44:09Speaker 2: would it would just tickle me pink. Please please please
- 44:13Speaker 2: be looking out the promotions tab at that Kevinshow dot com.
- 44:16Speaker 2: I'm going to be able to tell you more, probably momentarily,
- 44:19Speaker 2: like within the next few days. Every so often somebody
- 44:24Speaker 2: in public says something so honest it actually torches the
- 44:28Speaker 2: argument they were trying to make. And it doesn't happen
- 44:32Speaker 2: because they slipped up. It happens because in the moment
- 44:35Speaker 2: they forgot they were supposed to be managing perceptions instead
- 44:39Speaker 2: of actually describing reality. And this week's entry comes from Oxford, England,
- 44:44Speaker 2: home to one of the oldest and most storied debating societies,
- 44:48Speaker 2: where back in June, Tommy Robinson and actor Lawrence Fox
- 44:53Speaker 2: took on former MP Jacob riesmag and the Oxford Student
- 44:59Speaker 2: Union's present resident Arwa Hainan Lrias a Palestinian Muslim student,
- 45:05Speaker 2: and the debate was about here we go, here's the topic,
- 45:10Speaker 2: is the West right to be suspicious of Islam? And
- 45:15Speaker 2: it was as contentious as you would expect it to be,
- 45:19Speaker 2: and then it took a really weird turn because the
- 45:24Speaker 2: head of the student debate union put it in no
- 45:27Speaker 2: uncertain terms. There was this one line from l Rays
- 45:32Speaker 2: directed to Robinson, there's a crowd outside this building right now,
- 45:37Speaker 2: she says, rioting against you, she told him. And without
- 45:42Speaker 2: the protection and generosity of a Muslim Palestinian president and
- 45:47Speaker 2: the mostly South Asian executive committee, you would be quite
- 45:51Speaker 2: literally cooked. Do you understand what she said? She's debating
- 45:55Speaker 2: Tommy Robinson on the merits of Islam being in the West,
- 46:02Speaker 2: and she basically implies that the protesters, the pro Muslim protesters.
- 46:08Speaker 3: That are in.
- 46:10Speaker 2: The courtyard just outside the building, that are rioting because
- 46:15Speaker 2: he's there, that it's due to she, as the Palestinian
- 46:21Speaker 2: Muslim president of the Union, that is solely responsible for
- 46:26Speaker 2: them not doing violence to him and friends. I think
- 46:31Speaker 2: we need to ask ourselves the question, especially if you
- 46:35Speaker 2: saw pictures this weekend of all those Muslim men invading Spain,
- 46:41Speaker 2: literally invading Spain from Morocco, going across the water and
- 46:46Speaker 2: getting up into Spain, and you had and I don't
- 46:49Speaker 2: mean to be unnecessarily graphic here, but you had scantily
- 46:54Speaker 2: clad bikini clad women, white progressive women standing there videotaping
- 47:03Speaker 2: waving in all of these Muslim men of fighting age.
- 47:10Speaker 2: There was another picture that I saw on the social
- 47:14Speaker 2: media channel of Nancy Mace, congresswoman from South Carolina, and
- 47:21Speaker 2: she made a joke about how ernest the woman looked
- 47:26Speaker 2: in the picture, but she pointed out that in several
- 47:30Speaker 2: pictures that someone had captured on one of the beaches,
- 47:33Speaker 2: a bikini clad woman was offering assistance. Shall we say
- 47:41Speaker 2: to men who were self stimulating on the beach in
- 47:49Speaker 2: front of children. It's like white liberal women don't understand
- 47:54Speaker 2: that they will kill them first. Honestly, it's like they
- 47:56Speaker 2: don't even know, they don't even get it. But long
- 48:02Speaker 2: story short, that's what they were doing because they lack
- 48:09Speaker 2: no self control over the bikini clad woman who was
- 48:14Speaker 2: standing in front of them. So you have the invasion continuing,
- 48:22Speaker 2: angry isolated Muslim men of fighting age invading one more
- 48:29Speaker 2: country unlawfully, and the West is grappling with this. The
- 48:34Speaker 2: West is trying to answer the question, how do we
- 48:36Speaker 2: deal with this threat, this threat of safety to our women,
- 48:40Speaker 2: this threat of safety for our people. This is not
- 48:45Speaker 2: suspicion of Islam as some sort of abstract theological proposition.
- 48:49Speaker 2: This is a documented, on the record account of what
- 48:52Speaker 2: happened at the one of the most prestigious universities in
- 48:56Speaker 2: the Western world when a controversial opinion showed up to
- 49:00Speaker 2: be debated and the mob wasn't a metaphor. It was
- 49:04Speaker 2: outside the building. And here's the part that should stop
- 49:06Speaker 2: everyone in their tracks. The skeptical side lost the debate
- 49:10Speaker 2: fifty seven forty one. In other words, in the room
- 49:13Speaker 2: where they were debating this, and the man that said, hey,
- 49:16Speaker 2: maybe we should reconsider how we approach Islam, he lost
- 49:20Speaker 2: the debate fifty seven forty one to the side that said, look,
- 49:24Speaker 2: there's an angry mob outside. If it weren't for me,
- 49:26Speaker 2: they'd kill you. To be clear, and for all the
- 49:29Speaker 2: reasons that make this genuinely upsetting rather than just merely ironic,
- 49:34Speaker 2: she was right, not right that suspicion of Islam is unwarranted.
- 49:39Speaker 2: She's right that Tommy Robinson's safety that night depended on
- 49:43Speaker 2: a threat she was uniquely positioned to describe because she
- 49:46Speaker 2: was standing closest to the people making it. And this
- 49:51Speaker 2: is what happens when institutions spend so long performing tolerance
- 49:55Speaker 2: that they lose the ability to hear themselves describing its absence.
- 50:00Speaker 2: Nobody forced her to say what she said. She said
- 50:02Speaker 2: it because in the moment, it was simply true, and
- 50:05Speaker 2: the truth slipped out from underneath the talking points. The
- 50:09Speaker 2: West didn't need a think tank study or a government
- 50:12Speaker 2: report to make the case for suspicion this month. It
- 50:15Speaker 2: needed one honest sentence from someone who had every institutional
- 50:19Speaker 2: incentive to keep to herself and didn't. And sometimes the
- 50:22Speaker 2: quiet part says more than the entire debate that surrounded it.
- 50:26Speaker 2: And I think that was the case. Here, Kevin McCullough,
- 50:30Speaker 2: we've got a big hour straight in front of you,
- 50:32Speaker 2: lots of money Monday straight ahead.
- 50:54Speaker 3: Here he is from New York. Kevin McCulla.
- 51:02Speaker 2: All right, it's Monday. Glad to be back with you
- 51:06Speaker 2: after seriously taking my family away. And I swear I
- 51:11Speaker 2: think you could ask any person in the family, did
- 51:13Speaker 2: you catch Dad even once turning on cable news? Not
- 51:17Speaker 2: at all. In fact, I don't think our hotel room
- 51:19Speaker 2: TV's got turned on except to play some stuff back
- 51:21Speaker 2: from our own Apple TV device that I took with us.
- 51:23Speaker 2: Other than that, there was none of this dad working
- 51:27Speaker 2: on vacation stuff. So it was a really nice reprieve.
- 51:30Speaker 2: Someone who I had hoped would be able to sit
- 51:32Speaker 2: in for me one day and just wasn't able to
- 51:35Speaker 2: is Lou Bassinist, who's back with us. He is the
- 51:37Speaker 2: host of The Big Skinny and Lou, I think you
- 51:39Speaker 2: missed a party because Bethany Mandel and Megan Mobs and
- 51:43Speaker 2: Patrisa and Wuka and Michael Woolworth all had really good
- 51:46Speaker 2: times sitting in for me, So you just have to
- 51:49Speaker 2: do it next time.
- 51:50Speaker 14: You're just made me feel double guilty that I missed
- 51:52Speaker 14: out on my opportunity to take over for you, and
- 51:54Speaker 14: you didn't watch my best week in media.
- 51:56Speaker 9: You know last week I had my best performances on.
- 51:58Speaker 2: You're on vacation, but you know that I was like
- 52:01Speaker 2: shutting everything down and not trying not to make contact
- 52:05Speaker 2: with the outside.
- 52:05Speaker 9: Work will for you. Yeah, quality time with family is
- 52:08Speaker 9: the best.
- 52:08Speaker 2: I don't do that very often, so it's like it's
- 52:11Speaker 2: a big deal when it comes around. Anyway, Absolutely, all
- 52:14Speaker 2: that to say, we're back to the money Monday and
- 52:16Speaker 2: we're looking at what's happening here. You've got a couple
- 52:21Speaker 2: that you really are are thinking about today Eli Lilly
- 52:25Speaker 2: and SpaceX in particular. What's going on with them?
- 52:28Speaker 9: Yeah, one I love and one I don't love as much.
- 52:30Speaker 9: Eli Lilly. I think everyone at home and in the room.
- 52:33Speaker 14: We talked about diseases or drugs that touch everyone in
- 52:36Speaker 14: the room, and I think Eli Lily is going to
- 52:38Speaker 14: become that company because they are behind some of the
- 52:41Speaker 14: best selling weight loss drugs but I'm most excited because
- 52:44Speaker 14: their report earnings this week, and they're actually building out
- 52:46Speaker 14: their entire pipeline to include treatments well beyond these GLP ones.
- 52:51Speaker 9: And then the other thing that I think is really
- 52:53Speaker 9: interesting is I.
- 52:55Speaker 14: Nerd out on the science of the GLP ones and
- 52:57Speaker 14: what these peptides can do, and increasingly we're seeing more
- 53:01Speaker 14: and more diseases that they might be suitable for, everything
- 53:05Speaker 14: from sleep apnea to addiction issues to nerd A generative issues.
- 53:10Speaker 14: So they truly could become one of the best selling
- 53:14Speaker 14: drugs of all time, taking over from ki Truda and MRK.
- 53:17Speaker 14: So from an investment standpoint, you know, everyone gets caught
- 53:20Speaker 14: in the AI trade, which I think is great.
- 53:22Speaker 9: It's important.
- 53:23Speaker 14: We've got a free report on tenai stocks not named
- 53:26Speaker 14: Nvidia that you can invest in.
- 53:27Speaker 9: But that's only part of the investing story that's out there.
- 53:30Speaker 14: There's been great companies doing, you know, really life changing
- 53:34Speaker 14: things in the in the biotech and pharma sector, and
- 53:37Speaker 14: ELI low is one of those, you know, shining examples
- 53:39Speaker 14: of that. So I'm excited to see what the report
- 53:41Speaker 14: comes up this week, how strong it is, what other
- 53:44Speaker 14: treatments they have in the pipeline and it's one of
- 53:46Speaker 14: my larger personal holdings. That's not a recommendation, but that's
- 53:50Speaker 14: part of the reason I'm interested as well well.
- 53:52Speaker 2: And I think you're not alone. Hillary Kramer has been
- 53:55Speaker 2: saying for months that Eli Lilly is one of her
- 53:59Speaker 2: favorite at pharma stocks right now. She's also big on Pfizer.
- 54:04Speaker 2: I don't know does Eli Lilly offer a dividend and
- 54:08Speaker 2: do we know what that is?
- 54:09Speaker 14: I do they do, but off the hand, I don't
- 54:12Speaker 14: know where that's filed is right now. I'm buying it
- 54:15Speaker 14: for the growth because I just think they're on the
- 54:17Speaker 14: you know, the leading edge of the biggest growth trend
- 54:20Speaker 14: we've seen in medicine in a really long time.
- 54:22Speaker 2: Well, and you're not. You're not fooling yourself either, because
- 54:25Speaker 2: the cross symptom application that they have been they're they're
- 54:31Speaker 2: a one point seventy three dividend, the cross application that
- 54:35Speaker 2: they have been touting for GLP ones from the beginning.
- 54:39Speaker 2: I mean, I remember having different surgeons, different doctors, medical
- 54:43Speaker 2: doctors here on the broadcast and them telling me months
- 54:49Speaker 2: before the weight loss phase came around that GLP ones
- 54:51Speaker 2: were helping people and a lot of other venues, and
- 54:55Speaker 2: then the and then the weight loss benefit became well
- 54:58Speaker 2: known and it just seemed to take off from there.
- 55:00Speaker 2: So it's interesting to see where that'll go for sure. Yes,
- 55:03Speaker 2: SpaceX debuted a few weeks ago. It's it's not you know,
- 55:08Speaker 2: it only let Elon be a trillionaire for a little while,
- 55:13Speaker 2: is it? Is it totally done with? What do you
- 55:15Speaker 2: what do you make of the downward forces that had
- 55:18Speaker 2: been working against it?
- 55:20Speaker 14: It's I hate to say I said it, but I
- 55:22Speaker 14: told you so right. This was one of the most
- 55:24Speaker 14: hyped IPOs that ever came to market. I was leaving
- 55:28Speaker 14: and spinning a very cautionary tale for everyone not to
- 55:30Speaker 14: get caught up into the fear of missing out, because
- 55:33Speaker 14: you'd have a chance to buy much cheaper. And that's
- 55:35Speaker 14: what happened. And I'm not a genius by any means.
- 55:38Speaker 14: I didn't predict this because I know better than anyone else.
- 55:40Speaker 14: It's just history. This happens with all the biggest IPOs
- 55:43Speaker 14: that come to market, and SpaceX was not the exception.
- 55:47Speaker 14: So they're going to report their first quarterly report as
- 55:49Speaker 14: a public company. There's a lot of insider shares that
- 55:52Speaker 14: come off lock up later.
- 55:53Speaker 9: This week. So I think the setup the scenario here.
- 55:58Speaker 14: If you're interested in the space economy and I and
- 56:00Speaker 14: I actually encourage you. There's a new book called The
- 56:02Speaker 14: New Space Economy by doctor Rayner Zeidelman, who wrote the
- 56:05Speaker 14: Case for Capitalism.
- 56:06Speaker 9: It's a phenomenal read. I sat down with him. Long term.
- 56:10Speaker 14: I think it's a great investment, but right now, I
- 56:12Speaker 14: think you can wait until SpaceX is trading for under
- 56:14Speaker 14: one hundred dollars a share before even considering it. And
- 56:18Speaker 14: you know, remember it became public at one hundred and
- 56:20Speaker 14: thirty five dollars per share for people that got IPO shares.
- 56:23Speaker 14: It opened at one hundred and fifty and then ran
- 56:26Speaker 14: all the way up to two hundred plus and then
- 56:28Speaker 14: now is pulled right back.
- 56:29Speaker 9: So it's doing what all big IPOs do.
- 56:31Speaker 14: And I think it'll be really interesting to see how
- 56:33Speaker 14: Elon Musk spins the performance when he gets on the
- 56:36Speaker 14: quarter of the well.
- 56:37Speaker 2: There's a couple of pieces of news related to that.
- 56:39Speaker 2: He Tesla and SpaceX are working together on a couple
- 56:43Speaker 2: of big projects. How do you read those in? What
- 56:48Speaker 2: do you feel about them?
- 56:49Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 56:49Speaker 14: I think Tesla will ultimately be acquired by SpaceX. You
- 56:53Speaker 14: saw a news report last week that Tesla might spin
- 56:55Speaker 14: off its Chinese division.
- 56:57Speaker 9: I would say that's a prerequisite.
- 57:00Speaker 14: To them being acquired, because you don't want a national
- 57:02Speaker 14: security SpaceX vendor owning a Chinese assets as well.
- 57:08Speaker 9: So I think ultimately Tesla's shares have struggled.
- 57:12Speaker 14: I think Elon Musk, for him, it makes sense just
- 57:14Speaker 14: vertically integrate all your businesses under one roof.
- 57:16Speaker 9: He's done that to some degree.
- 57:18Speaker 14: At SpaceX with Xai and Starlink and consolidated it all
- 57:23Speaker 14: under there. I think there's just one more move so
- 57:25Speaker 14: that if you want to own all things Elon Musk,
- 57:28Speaker 14: maybe except for Neulink and the boring company, it's going
- 57:32Speaker 14: to be through SpaceX. So longer term, I think SpaceX
- 57:34Speaker 14: could get really interesting, depending on where the price gets.
- 57:37Speaker 14: I think it's you know, he's undeniably the most innovative,
- 57:41Speaker 14: brilliant entrepreneur of our lifetime.
- 57:43Speaker 9: Sure it's just a matter of you know.
- 57:45Speaker 2: Grads, he's like the Alexander Graham Bell like he's absolutely Well,
- 57:50Speaker 2: let me ask you another question, because someone asked me
- 57:53Speaker 2: this week, do you do you like cost dollar averaging
- 57:57Speaker 2: with SpaceX? Maybe you got in on the IPO, but
- 58:01Speaker 2: you've picked up a couple of shares as the prices
- 58:04Speaker 2: have continued to drop. That is that a good strategy
- 58:06Speaker 2: for the future.
- 58:07Speaker 9: I do.
- 58:07Speaker 14: I do like that strategy, and I would start doing
- 58:09Speaker 14: that at under one hundred dollars because as long as
- 58:12Speaker 14: you're a long term investor, which I am, I'm not
- 58:14Speaker 14: a trader. I'm not looking for you know, in and
- 58:17Speaker 14: out in a day or a week or a month.
- 58:19Speaker 14: I've owned my Apple shares since twenty fourteen and have
- 58:23Speaker 14: continued to buy them over the years. So I think
- 58:25Speaker 14: SpaceX is one of those generational opportunities that you can
- 58:28Speaker 14: dollar cost average into.
- 58:29Speaker 9: So it'll be it's not going to go away anytime soon.
- 58:33Speaker 2: All right. So we've got those are two of the
- 58:37Speaker 2: things that you're watching right now. What are some other areas?
- 58:40Speaker 2: You got biotech, you got mag seven, you've got oil
- 58:43Speaker 2: and energy? What are you what are you looking at?
- 58:45Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 58:45Speaker 14: I think what matters for everyone right now is just
- 58:47Speaker 14: the headlines about Iran and you see oil prices coming down.
- 58:50Speaker 9: But what scares me is the physical supply is really short.
- 58:54Speaker 14: If you look at supplies and our strategic controlum reserve
- 58:59Speaker 14: down to about forty percent of capacity. If you look
- 59:01Speaker 14: at the oil we have available coming through our biggest
- 59:04Speaker 14: hub in the US at Cushing, Oklahoma, it's below a
- 59:08Speaker 14: key level.
- 59:08Speaker 9: Of twenty million barials. To make it really easy to understand,
- 59:12Speaker 9: we're basically from a supply level.
- 59:14Speaker 14: The gas tank, the gas gauge says it's on E,
- 59:17Speaker 14: and the little reminder in the dash that says distance
- 59:19Speaker 14: to empty is now just says low. It doesn't even
- 59:22Speaker 14: have a number there. So that's the dangerous thing that
- 59:24Speaker 14: if we don't find a resolution quickly, we can see
- 59:27Speaker 14: oil prices spike again, which is bad for the economy,
- 59:30Speaker 14: is bad for the stock market. And I just don't
- 59:33Speaker 14: think enough people are really paying attention to how limited
- 59:37Speaker 14: the supply is. This is not about politics. It's simply economics,
- 59:40Speaker 14: about the fland demand.
- 59:41Speaker 2: What or how can domestic production impact that.
- 59:44Speaker 9: So domestic production is helping, it's giving us leverage.
- 59:47Speaker 14: But the problem is when the market price comes down
- 59:51Speaker 14: your physical supplies, it's not like turning on a light
- 59:53Speaker 14: switch and you get light immediately, right.
- 59:55Speaker 9: It takes time, you know, two to six months to
- 59:57Speaker 9: get new supplies out of the ground.
- 59:58Speaker 14: So I would tell you the president has put us
- 1:00:01Speaker 14: in a position he knows he has the leverage because
- 1:00:03Speaker 14: we don't rely on the straight of her moves for
- 1:00:07Speaker 14: our oil anymore. But by the same time, token the
- 1:00:10Speaker 14: price is dictated by the market and the supplies are tight,
- 1:00:13Speaker 14: so we've got to get to a resolution here.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: Access to Venezuela's oil helps, hurt, makes no difference.
- 1:00:19Speaker 14: It helps down the road, but there's nothing in the
- 1:00:21Speaker 14: short term. There's no immediate cure for it. Right OPEC
- 1:00:24Speaker 14: today announce that they're going to boost production for the
- 1:00:26Speaker 14: six straight months, but it's deminimous. It's like one hundred
- 1:00:30Speaker 14: and eighty eight thousand barrels a day, which is less
- 1:00:32Speaker 14: than one percent of what goes through the straight of
- 1:00:34Speaker 14: her moves. So again, the message to everyone at home
- 1:00:38Speaker 14: is gas prices probably aren't coming down anytime soon just yet,
- 1:00:42Speaker 14: right like until the war is definitively over, because we
- 1:00:44Speaker 14: need to replenish supplies and it all just needs to
- 1:00:47Speaker 14: work its way through the system before we have a
- 1:00:51Speaker 14: just prices back to where they belong and not being
- 1:00:55Speaker 14: volatile up and down because of the war.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, what's on the big skinny this coming Thursday?
- 1:01:01Speaker 9: So this we're going to focus on Earnings the S
- 1:01:04Speaker 9: and P five hundred.
- 1:01:05Speaker 14: We're in the middle of earning season, which always reveals
- 1:01:08Speaker 14: new opportunities, new investments to make both an AI and
- 1:01:11Speaker 14: through the broader economy. So we're excited to do that
- 1:01:14Speaker 14: and we'll give some of our best ideas out on Thursday,
- 1:01:17Speaker 14: five am.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: Five pm YouTube Thebig Skinny dot com, The Big Skinny
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: the channel on YouTube. Go check it out. Lou Bassine.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: Always appreciate it, appreciate you.
- 1:01:27Speaker 9: Kevin. You welcome back.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Kevin McCulloch, coming right back to Times Square. Don't go anywhere,
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Let's stick.
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: Around for more of that.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: Kevin.
- 1:01:37Speaker 10: Next here he is from New York exactly, Kevin. Kevin McCullough.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: All right, Kevin McCullough. Glad to be back from my
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: little time away and always grateful to be able to
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: take the family with me. Thank you for being here,
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Thank you for joining us on this Money Monday, where
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: we get looks at how things are going on with
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: your attempt to leave a legacy for your family. The
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: reason we have these discussions is because I want you
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: to be able to keep more of what you've earned
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: and have it really in posterity to leave for your
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: kids and grandkids. David Fisher is back with us from
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Landmark Capital. They are the only metals dealer I tell
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: people about because they have been such a great client
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: to work with in my own situation. They've not just
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: been an advertiser. I've been a customer of theirs for many,
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: many years, and David always appreciate your straightforward and very
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: conscientious customer service first kind of approach to everything. But
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: we got to talk about today China wanting to buy
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: all the gold and you say this could mean a
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: financial reset. In fact, our Treasurer Scott Bessen is talking
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: about gold again and he's he's quoting history on all
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: of this. Where are we at? What does China want
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: to do?
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: Yeah, China's been aggressively buying gold. I've been doing this
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: for thirty two years, the biggest buyer of gold in
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: the last decade by far, if not the last twenty
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: some plus years. And so the report just came out
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: from BMO Capital and their analysts saying this that China
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: has another five years of US buying spree going on,
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: and they believe that within the next five years and
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: maybe even much sooner, their holdings of gold could surpass
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: the US holdings of gold. Right now, China holds around
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: five two hundred tons of gold. That's what they publicly say,
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: although the analyst at BMO and many others Kevin are
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: saying it's much more than that, but that's what they publicize.
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: The US publicized one hundred and thirty three tons and
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: has been paid that out for decades. According to the
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: United States Treasury, we haven't bought any gold for quite
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: some time, maybe fifty years, but China and other central
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: banks are buying gold aggressively, specifically back to China. China
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: has bought more gold every month for the last twenty
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: consecutive months. Now, China and Hong Kong they're doing something
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: in addition to that. They're building new vaults, a new
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: clearing system and delivery connection in the precious metal market.
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: It's significant, significant, and on July seventh, Hong Kong began
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: their trial operations of a new system for gold. They're
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: trying to be the hub for gold. Right now the
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: hub is in London, but they're trying to be the
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: main hub of the world. They also try to be
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: the central bank in the country that owns the most
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: amount of gold, so think of it this way. Owning
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: a large pile of gold is one thing. But building roads, warehouses, scales,
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: security system, payment system networks globally, that's something totally entirely different,
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: and that's what they're doing. So put all the pieces together.
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: China mindes a lot of gold. China's individual citizens are
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: buying gold massively, their institutions are buying gold, They're importing
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: additional gold, even though they mind the most amount of
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: gold in the world is still not enough for their
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: incredible demand. And the People's Bank of China is accumulating
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: gold at the fastest rate of any company or country
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: in the world. Hong Kong is now expanding with this
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: new system out of China, and the new systems are
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: built to settle gold across borders. So think of Hong Kong.
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: China might be the new and five years from now
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: they might be the new hub for gold, and they
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: might be the country that owns the most amount of gold.
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: So this is a shock seeing they're relentless in this.
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: What this really matters to you and I is they're
- 1:06:05Speaker 5: driving the price of gold up and other central banks
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: around the world. Scott Decent in a Fox interview with
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: Jesse Waters made several statements. He said he has not
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: personally visited Fort Knox, but the US treasure Brendan Beach has.
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: He stated all the gold is at president accounted for,
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: which is just a verbal thing because you can't really
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: say that with full confidence because they've not done a
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: full audit. There's never been an audit since nineteen fifty three.
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: He said the United States has the largest pile of
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: gold in the world. It's worth over a trillion dollars
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: at current gold prices. And he re on to say
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: a couple of fuzzy things. He talked about paper silver certificates,
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: where you used to be able to turn those paper
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: bills that are silver certificate in for physical silver, and
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: he cited some things that weren't fully correct and accurate.
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: Makes me question it does he know history. I'm not
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: demeaning him or anything, but if he can't get that
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: fact right, because he is the fact right of all
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: the gold and silver in our vaults in Fort Knox
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: and West Point. The bottom line is this. The CENT
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: is drawing attention that the US is changing its relationship
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: with gold as a reminder that President Trump in his
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: administration is refining the value of the dollar in the
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: face of the world's global economy, and this is why
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: central banks are massively buying gold. It's a positive thing.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: Yeah, very positive. The President wants to put the US
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: currency back on a gold standard, and that would help
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: everybody that owns gold, but it also helps people that
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: own dollars. You end up having a stronger currency as
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: a result. All right, if you'd like to know more
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: about any of this, or if you would do what
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: I want you to do, which is to call David
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: about your four oh one k and your IRA and say, hey,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: how can I get it switched over? They are the specialists, friends,
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: in getting your four one k and your IRA partially
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: backed by gold and silver. He just give you a
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: ton of information about why that's a good thing, a
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: positive thing. Call him right now eight four four six
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: oh four two five seven five eight four four six
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: oh four two five seven five and tell him that
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: you heard Kevin McCullough and David Fisher talking and he
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: wanted more information about how to do that four oh
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: one k IRA thing. I want to get part of
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: your portfolio backed by gold and silver and hedge any
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: future protections necessary. Eight four four six oh four two
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: five seven five eight four four six oh four two
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: five seven five David Fisher, thank you so much, Thank you, Kevin.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: Kevin mcckella, coming right back on this Money Monday. Don't
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: go anywhere.
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: Here.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: He is from New York. That Kevin ke McCulla.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: All right, welcome back. It is Money Monday, where we
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: try to help you protect and help be good steward
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: of that which you've earned, and perhaps even grow it
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: and leave it as a legacy for those who come
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: behind you. It's one of our major core values here
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: at that Kevin Show, to help you be wise with
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: your financial investments. And Hillary Kramer's back with us. She's
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: the millionaire maker, Hillary Kramer dot com as her website,
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: and Hillary, You've got I know if people are new listeners,
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: they don't know this, but I know that one of
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: the things you love about certain types of stocks is
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: ones that pay you dividends. Dividends are very big bonuses
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: in Hillary Kramer's.
- 1:09:41Speaker 15: Book, incredibly wonderful.
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:09:46Speaker 15: Will you have to think about, Kevin, is that those
- 1:09:49Speaker 15: momentum stocks that have made so many people billions of dollars,
- 1:09:52Speaker 15: they're down twenty four percent from their hive. So you
- 1:09:57Speaker 15: have to hit it right and you have to eat
- 1:09:58Speaker 15: it right at the right time.
- 1:10:00Speaker 5: Do you know.
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: I'm very humble, but I have.
- 1:10:02Speaker 15: To say people who listen to me have made millions
- 1:10:06Speaker 15: of dollars because I do come up with stocks before
- 1:10:08Speaker 15: anyone else does. Okay, let's take a look at a
- 1:10:10Speaker 15: stock like Palenteer. I was talking about it with you
- 1:10:13Speaker 15: for years.
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: Seven dollars, ten, twelve.
- 1:10:16Speaker 15: Fifteen, right all the way up, so people have made
- 1:10:19Speaker 15: one thousand percent. I've done the same thing with in video.
- 1:10:23Speaker 15: We've done the same thing. You've given me the opportunity
- 1:10:26Speaker 15: to talk about my mushroom stock DFTs okay, so you know,
- 1:10:30Speaker 15: and memory chips, so I do present those. But in general,
- 1:10:35Speaker 15: the listeners, those who are listening to us right now,
- 1:10:39Speaker 15: believe me when I say that the big boys have
- 1:10:42Speaker 15: already sold or they're selling their stakes to you while
- 1:10:47Speaker 15: you're busy buying thinks you're going to make lots of money.
- 1:10:50Speaker 15: So the way you can win, and you can win
- 1:10:53Speaker 15: even better than the big, big, fast institutional money people,
- 1:10:57Speaker 15: and that's by having a divid and yield give it
- 1:11:00Speaker 15: and yield means that the money comes in every single
- 1:11:04Speaker 15: year you can get with her, it's three percent five percent.
- 1:11:06Speaker 15: We're going to go through those stocks together. But the
- 1:11:09Speaker 15: important point here is that, like the tortoise in the
- 1:11:14Speaker 15: it's a fable that people continue listening to to this
- 1:11:18Speaker 15: day because there's really reality based truth in it.
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: Okay, so let's get.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: Short on time. Let's get you got ten of them,
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: Let's try to knock them out.
- 1:11:26Speaker 15: We're going to knock him out quickly. Let's start with
- 1:11:28Speaker 15: Pfizer PFE, the world's largest pharmaceutical company. Remember the COVID
- 1:11:34Speaker 15: vaccine boom faded and that brought the stock price down,
- 1:11:37Speaker 15: and slowly it's been deflating. But they have cancer treatments.
- 1:11:41Speaker 15: They acquired forty three billion dollars Sigan, and they have
- 1:11:44Speaker 15: the GLP one drug space. And the appeal here is
- 1:11:48Speaker 15: by Pfizer p f E. Everyone listen up seven point
- 1:11:52Speaker 15: one percent divid and yield seven point one percent, and
- 1:11:56Speaker 15: it's a phenomenal stock that's regrowing. So you get that
- 1:12:00Speaker 15: seven point one percent, and the underlying stock price itself
- 1:12:03Speaker 15: could increase. Even if it only goes up five percent
- 1:12:06Speaker 15: a year plus a dividend, you end up with thirteen
- 1:12:09Speaker 15: percent compounding mix.
- 1:12:10Speaker 9: It beautiful.
- 1:12:11Speaker 15: Let's talk about Verizon. Okay, they're they're literally just killing it.
- 1:12:15Speaker 15: Okay with their fiber optic broadband business. Nineteen contestants that
- 1:12:20Speaker 15: consecutive years Verizon has raised its dividend. There's a heavy
- 1:12:24Speaker 15: debt load, which and there's a lot of competition which
- 1:12:27Speaker 15: keeps some investors out. But the dividend is well established
- 1:12:31Speaker 15: and generously funded, and you get a six point seven
- 1:12:34Speaker 15: percent divan yelled vsy Victor Zebra Verizon. Now let's talk
- 1:12:39Speaker 15: about a rate N and N. It's a real estate
- 1:12:44Speaker 15: investment trust that has these free standing properties. I wasn't
- 1:12:47Speaker 15: going to get it today, but then I decided I
- 1:12:49Speaker 15: would because they're properties that have these long leases. Are
- 1:12:53Speaker 15: auto service companies, quick service restaurants, convenience stores, companies that
- 1:12:58Speaker 15: are going to make it just as big during times
- 1:13:02Speaker 15: of unaffordability and recession as it would in tom boom times. Okay,
- 1:13:07Speaker 15: So in and N phenomenal company. They have increased their
- 1:13:12Speaker 15: dividends to thirty six years in a row. You get
- 1:13:14Speaker 15: a different a meal to five point four percent.
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: I love this one.
- 1:13:18Speaker 15: Revenue grows six point six percent a year.
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: Here's one.
- 1:13:21Speaker 15: The ticker symbol is oh, and it's realty income. The
- 1:13:26Speaker 15: catch here is you get a monthly dinn't now, let's
- 1:13:29Speaker 15: do Enbridge. Enbridge e NB. It's one of North America's
- 1:13:34Speaker 15: largest energy infrastructure companies.
- 1:13:36Speaker 9: Go for Enbridge.
- 1:13:38Speaker 15: Let's move on to Sinoko products, which we did once before.
- 1:13:41Speaker 15: Son it's a packager, so people are going to continue
- 1:13:45Speaker 15: to buy from Amazon or from the supermarket. When you
- 1:13:48Speaker 15: get your chap to me at the supermarket, it comes
- 1:13:50Speaker 15: like with they got like a black shell underneath it.
- 1:13:53Speaker 15: It's like styrofoam. Or you also have packaging material that
- 1:13:57Speaker 15: comes with every single thing that you buy. And that's

- 1:19:33Speaker 2: at the in and Out eatery in Twin Falls, Idaho
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: killed three people and wounded seven others before taking his
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: own life, or so the official report read. But what
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: they didn't tell you was that investigators were you know,
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: confident that Chad Williams had acted alone, but that he
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: was very, very surprised by the heroics of one person
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: named Jordan Salinas, thirty five, of Kimberly, Idaho, who had

- 1:20:34Speaker 2: able to observe orient and decide that, okay, this is
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: the guy, and he said before he was resolute to
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: act the gunman, he said, was shocked by the arm response.
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: He did not like it when bullets started firing both ways. Salinas,
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: whose girlfriend at the restaurant was struck in William's fire,
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: told The Statesman he felt no fear in attempting to
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: take down the bad guy. Friends.
- 1:20:59Speaker 9: This is why.
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: This statement is always true. You know, the only thing
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: that stops a bad guy with a gun. To have
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: good guys with guns. Yeah, I'm glad Selena's was there.
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: It could have been so much worse were it not
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: for Jordan Selenas. So thank you mister Selinas for doing
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: your incredible, brave thing. Kevin mckella so glad to be back.
