  you this but I have learned that my son 22 years old the youngest one the one

  who still lives with me lives here at home and his friends all his pals his crew

  to our livestream and our videos so they very well could be listening right now

  and they creep in the background and they don't leave in comments or anything so

  we never know they're there so how about this how about all of us right now say

  I think almost all of us here are Gen X but for those of you who are Millennials

  and those of you who are Gen Z that hanging out let's all type in the chat hi

  you know they just had a lot of crazy sayings that nobody could understand but

  now I know how cool Gen Z is so the other day my son said

  he was going somewhere going over to his friend's house or they were gonna pick

  up some friends and go do something I forget what they were doing and I said to

  him you gotta fight for the right to party

  and then he's just staring at me looking at me with that Gen Z look you know

  that stare what do they call that stare the Gen the Gen Z stare what are they he

  gave me that he's just looking at me as I'm doing that and I said you don't even

  know what I'm doing and he goes Beastie Boys and I was like Gen Z is the
• 6:22
  greatest generation since the greatest generation and who knows the way the
• 6:28
  world's going they might even surpass the greatest generation I told him hey

  there's a generation called the greatest generation and they're called that

  because of what they did in the war and who knows maybe these guys will have an
• 6:41
  opportunity to be the greatest generation the greatest greatest I don't know but

  to share something with you we had some excitement here in my neighborhood a

  little ways down the street a iguana got its poor stupid head stuck in the chain

  see there that's their house that the cops standing on they called the cops and

  the cop came out and had to cut this poor iguana free so bait basically

  first the first person showed up was a younger cop lady and she's with accident

  investigation and she saw the poor iguana stuck in the fence and she came back

  to her truck and she got a long pole that looks like the kind of pole you would

  put on a broom like on a broom handle and tried to get the poor thing out with
• 16:07
  it but it was you know thrashing about and rolling around was actually doing its
• 16:11
  twisting rolling thing with its poor neck stuck in this chain-link fence so she
• 16:16
  called this older cop and I don't mean she's old she's you know way younger than
• 16:20
  me but she's older than the first one and this lady is part of the humane unit
• 16:25
  she came out she's not afraid to touch these things she literally got down on
• 16:29
  the ground and she wasn't wrestling the the iguana she was wrestling the chain

  -link fence trying to get it open and everything so she finally got the poor

  thing free and then she sat there just rholding it on her lap this iguana but we

  see these things all the time these things are in my backyard all the time so

  shoulder and so the bearded dragon was on this one lady shoulder she said here

  nervously held the bearded dragon as you can see in her in her arms there and on

  her shoulder while you know the humane lady cop held this iguana after she had

  freed it and waited for it to kind of chill out calm down and then I was like

  do she goes no I'm gonna let it go right here in the neighborhood it'll run off

  want to share an interaction that we had after the fact I told Jenny Scott Adams

  would be proud of you because that is the source where we got this whole idea

  that intentionally embarrassing yourself helps you become unembarrassable that

  hosted a channel in which he encouraged people to put themselves out there and

  this is how I put myself out there by embarrassing myself on purpose and these

  videos did great

  their phone if they're just scrolling through the feed and they stay on a video

  for a second it starts auto playing even with the sound off that counts as a

  view so when I see the newest video at over.75 I'm not going to fool myself and

  say boy this video is doing really good now it's not it's just a fake view

  effect so it's not so

  think the series is kind of running out of steam you know I think the series is

  kind of running out of steam so one thing I did is there's a there's an ask

  studio built-in AI bot that's part of youtube studio and you can the nice thing

  about that AI is that it is trained on channel creators and it's also

  it's got access to everything about your channel it can see all your statistics

  it can see your unpublished videos it sees every comment anyone ever left

  so I said to this AI thing hey catch me up on the performance of my latest video

  the one that came out on Monday which is called why the fear of looking like an

  idiot is holding you back and how to fix it and the AI said hey your recent

  video is resonating well with your audience and maintaining steady performance

  within its first few days of release the core performance the video is

  performing right in line with your channel's typical range for this stage after

  publishing said hey and this is I asked it this question on Monday so it's gone

  up above this already so wow 74 views the click-through rate eight percent

  average view duration five minutes average view percentage forty percent and all

  of these numbers are even with the typical performance so it said what's working

  well is strong viewer connection the audience finding the stories you know

  compelling it said that the effective retention spikes there's noticeable

  retention increase around the 105 mark if you don't know what an increase in

  retention means is retention is how long did somebody watch and it should be a
• 37:47
  slow drop off right you would think that as people stop watching because nobody
• 37:51
  ever joins in the middle of a video so it should never spike in the middle of a
• 37:54
  video when that happens usually that means somebody rewound it and went back and
• 37:59
  rewatch something again and then you got like two watch our views for that
• 38:03
  minute or whatever so it spikes because somebody went back and watched something
• 38:06
  again or rarely somebody will copy and paste the link.

  To the video with the timestamp attached and someone will follow the link and

  follow and start a video right where the time stamp is but that's like one or

  two people per video it's not a number of people to count on so this thing is

  saying that there's these spikes spikes around a one minute mark and five minute

  mark when i'm addressing the universal fear of being seen as wrong and around

  five minutes when i transition to showing the beautiful sunset so you know the

  ai is just basically spouting off about this it says the action will take away

  is the name it to claim it advice and challenge to intentionally embarrass

  yourself blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah so i followed up i followed up

  and the ai says here's your opportunities to improve it says you could change
