- 0:00Yo, we're back again, episode eighty. Different little vibes. You know
- 0:04what I'm saying. We're trying to stay up with the times with some old
- 0:07men, so we gotta, you know, tap into what the kids is
- 0:11doing nowadays. So we uh, you know, we're just trying to get
- 0:15our content game up. I feel like the audio is there, you know,
- 0:18we just need to come off a little more sexy. Hey, yo,
- 0:22but hey, it's facts man, speaking of the cool kids. Man,
- 0:28Buffalo bitch ass. Yo. I hate the rig talks of the NFL
- 0:34because there's some stuff that just doesn't make sense that be going on. And
- 0:38one of those things is like the Tampa Bay game where they had a time
- 0:42out left with the Lions in like deep field goal territory and they they even
- 0:48call the time out and just hit the clock right now. Yeah, it
- 0:51was crazy, bro. Man. I don't want to I don't want to
- 0:56attack you, Quincy. But the most I've scene of that was that the
- 1:02year that the New Orleans had the flood, Bro, and they won the
- 1:06Super Bowl. That was some of the most questionable play calling, i mean
- 1:11refereeing that I've ever seen in my life in the playoffs, Bro, that's
- 1:17exactly why I said the Ravens are gonna win. It's the story. Bro.
- 1:21Every year there's some kind of story. But did you hear the news
- 1:23story about the referee they got for the Ravens and Chiefs game. It's like
- 1:29anti Ravens, so the script is to make the Chiefs win that game.
- 1:34Real, Yeah, it's like one of the worst referees to ref against the
- 1:41Ravens. You know what's funny to me? And this is kind of like
- 1:45off topic, but it ties into the reference thing. It's like there's such
- 1:49a human element to so many things that are supposed to be like, you
- 1:53know, just based off facts or whatever. And like a big example obviously
- 1:57is like the government and things like that. Another thing that's been coming up
- 2:00a lot is like gatekeeping with like the Cat Williams conversation on the Shannon Sharp
- 2:06podcast. I heard Bobby Lee speaking on it on a podcast recently to Bobbyle
- 2:10the comedian, And I feel like the gatekeeping thing is kind of funny because
- 2:15I don't even really see it as Gatekeeping's just whoever has the power they're going
- 2:20to put people on that they like, you know what I'm saying, And
- 2:23if you're not one of those people that they like, then you know,
- 2:25your shit out of luck in that situation. I don't look at it like,
- 2:30oh, you know, this is like some kind of malicious thing,
- 2:32which definitely is in some cases. And there's obviously, you know, specific
- 2:37cases that different things happen for certain reasons that we don't know, but in
- 2:40most cases, it's like, bro, like, look at it this way,
- 2:45us three do a podcast together. If one of us got some kind
- 2:47of deal or hook up to work with, like a company that does podcasts
- 2:51or stuff like that, the first people we're gonna put on is the people
- 2:53we do in a podcast with. Somebody will look at that and say they
- 2:57gatekeeping us. We look at it like we already know these people, We
- 3:00already work with them. We already know that they're going to have the work
- 3:02ethic and it's gonna work hand in hand, you know. Yeah. I
- 3:07mean a lot of people talk about the gatekeeping thing, but I mean one
- 3:09of the things we learned quickly is it's not what you know, it's who
- 3:14you know. I mean, that's in everything you know in fact, like
- 3:16not just entertainment, like you know, that's just normal trying to get a
- 3:21job like, you know what I'm saying, you may be the most qualified
- 3:23candidate, but you know, nobody in the building. You know what I'm
- 3:25saying. And it's just it's not gatekeeping. It just kind of is what
- 3:29it is. You know. Yeah. Fact that was one of the things
- 3:31I believe it was talking about too, is like when you're getting to a
- 3:35certain level, certain kind of money, more hands are involved, more people
- 3:38have their hands in the pot. You got to fit into that structure.
- 3:42And if you don't want to fit into that structure, which he was saying,
- 3:45he's one of those people that doesn't like to be and like those you
- 3:49know, stadium shows and those you know, big things that people are doing.
- 3:53He's like, the reason, he says, the reason he's been successful
- 3:55is because he's kind of just stayed in the lane that he feels comfortable and
- 4:00he's been able to have longevity and make a lot of money, do the
- 4:03things he wants and even though he has that knock against him that he don't
- 4:08have that special you know what I'm saying, Because when you're a comedian,
- 4:11that's the thing, like you need a good comedy special and it needs to
- 4:14be hilarious. You know, you got to have a good hour where it's
- 4:16like classic, you know, quotable lines and everything. But he don't have
- 4:20that because that's not really his desire motivation, And it brings up an interesting
- 4:27thing of like being lazy versus picking your lane and finding the piece in it,
- 4:33you know what I mean. And obviously there's like a lot of extremes
- 4:38on either end of that spectrum, and even like in the spectrum, but
- 4:42there's a big confusion with people, I feel like where it's like it I
- 4:45always go back to the jay z and Nas thing, you know what I
- 4:47mean, Because that was a big argument back in the day. Who's better
- 4:50jay z or Nas? Who won the battle jay z or Nas? And
- 4:54people always brought up things that didn't have anything to do with the music.
- 4:58And my point of view was always like, bro, we're looking at this
- 5:00as a music thing, and it's an opinion at the end of the day.
- 5:03But when you talk about music, you don't bring in who's got what
- 5:08wife, who has a record label, who made a deal for this amount
- 5:12of money? You know what I'm saying, Like that has nothing to do
- 5:15with the merit of the work, you know what I'm saying, That's something.
- 5:20Yeah, that's something with the It doesn't really tie in too much to
- 5:25the gatekeeping thing, but just from the point of view of when people kind
- 5:29of want to put somebody in a box, like with Bobby Lee, like
- 5:30they were. Bert Kreischer was basically calling him lazy on the podcast. You
- 5:35know what I'm saying, Like, you're like, why aren't you less lazy?
- 5:39Basically you know what I mean. And Bobby Lee was looking at it
- 5:43like, I'm not lazy, Bro, I just don't want to be in
- 5:45the circles that you're in. And you view that as a step up.
- 5:47You view that as like a Holy Grail type thing. I don't view it
- 5:50that way. I view it like I'm doing what I want to do,
- 5:54what I like to do. I'm successful at it. I think it was
- 5:57original, Bro. I love everything that he's in. I think it's so
- 6:00original the way he doesn't Bobby Lee, you're talking about, Yeah, and
- 6:05it's kind of like what he was saying. You know, he knows what
- 6:08he brings to the table, he knows he kills it, and you know
- 6:11that's enough for him. And there's so much like uh, and this kind
- 6:15of leads into a quincy situation now like that he's kind of adjusting into,
- 6:20you know, having more on his plate. That it leads into that where
- 6:25it's like some people don't want to have more on their plate. Some people
- 6:28they don't want to have that situation. And that was something that Bobby Lee
- 6:30was saying, like he scales his lifestyle in accordance to how he wants to
- 6:34work. You know what I'm saying, not that he's a broke dude,
- 6:38or not that he's somebody that's not making money, because obviously he's making money,
- 6:41but you know, he's maybe not making you know, these extra five
- 6:46hundred thousand, extra whatever because he's choosing to be in the environment slash mind
- 6:54state that he wants to be in. You know what I mean, what
- 6:56do y'all think about that? That's exactly was going on me right now.
- 7:00I literally just had that conversation. In these last forty eight hours. I
- 7:05was presenting an opportunity, and this opportunity always start I wanted back in the
- 7:12day, and then now I'm just like, I don't know if I want
- 7:15that today. Like where I'm at with everything I have set up, it's
- 7:17literally making a sharp right turn in the lane that I've set up since I've
- 7:23gotten back, and I thought about it for a while. I'm like,
- 7:26well, you know, why just do it just because it's there rather than
- 7:30being the right time for it. So I did not take that opportunity,
- 7:35and I'm so glad I didn't. Like and everybody I'm telling, like my
- 7:39wife and my family, it's like, yo, like in such a good
- 7:41place with what I have set up and all the things I'm I'm like progressing
- 7:46in in my life outside of my job. For me to give all that
- 7:49up just to one hundred percent beyond my job again, like I don't know
- 7:53if I want to do that, And that right there was one of the
- 7:57pretty one one of the biggestcisions I had to make in a while, and
- 8:00I'm happy with it. Like I'm not the second guessing there or anything.
- 8:03Yeah, I mean I think for me, I just feel like, do
- 8:09what works for you, Like I feel like anybody and everybody should always be
- 8:11doing what works for them. Like I remember when I was dead broke and
- 8:15you know, working on music. I couldn't even afford to go to a
- 8:18studio. But people that were around me was like, yo, if you're
- 8:22not going to the studio, you're not serious. But for me, I
- 8:24was like, bro, I played a long game, like I'm let me
- 8:28get my money right so that I can do it myself, you know what
- 8:31I'm saying. And now fast forward, you know, I got a studio
- 8:33on my crib, you know what I'm saying, And those same people that
- 8:35were saying you're not serious about music no longer do music at all, you
- 8:39know what I'm saying. So it's like, yeah, what made me successful
- 8:46to somebody else doesn't mean it's it's you know, not successful to you,
- 8:50and vice versus. It's like, do what works for you because at the
- 8:54end of the day, you know, I wanted to have a peace within
- 8:56my life, whether I was getting it music or not, you know what
- 9:01I'm saying, and financial stability, and that's what I've attained. So like,
- 9:05I don't know, I just feel like, at the end of the
- 9:05day, you gotta do what you gotta do for you. Yeah, I
- 9:09mean, at the risk of sounding like the barefoot guy at a music festival,
- 9:13success is a construct of the time that you're in, you know what
- 9:18I mean. Like success today might not be success in fifteen years. Success
- 9:22today is not the same like even like what you're saying, Quincy, there's
- 9:26major artists now that they just record at home, you know what I mean,
- 9:30Like that's not even a thing anything that will produce. True does everything
- 9:33on this iPad and he's never used anything other than that Ninth Wonder for the
- 9:39last I don't know how many years he's been producing on the iPad iPad.
- 9:43I'm sorry, I don't know if I don't remember if it's Ninth Wonder a
- 9:46mad lib. I know it's one of them for sure, but I know
- 9:50Ninth Wonder was one that he was on the Fruity Loops wave for a long
- 9:52time. For people that don't know, Fruity Loops is like a music production
- 9:56program where you can just kind of program an instrum mento in there and it's
- 10:00all virtual. But a lot of musicians use it because obviously it's a cheap
- 10:05and easy way to put together an instrumental without having to get musicians, you
- 10:09know, people playing, and basically to be able to do it on your
- 10:11own. And it's always been looked at in the industry and back in the
- 10:16day, it was looked at in the industry like kind of like amateur entry
- 10:20level, like you can't really produce records on fruity loops because it's not like
- 10:24one of the high end programs. But now you see a whole bunch of
- 10:28people. You know, most people use fruity loops when they do production nowadays,
- 10:31you know what I mean, especially like in hip hop and stuff.
- 10:33And you know, going back to the success thing, like fifteen twenty years
- 10:39ago, you would have been cooking up in fruity loops. They would have
- 10:41look at you like you was a fool, right, And even though when
- 10:45you think about three six Mafia, bro, it's random, but they have
- 10:48a studio in their house. Juicy J did and the song that they want
- 10:52to grammy for, they did it in that studio, you know what I'm
- 10:54saying. Like obviously they had to set up different than what all studios is
- 10:58like because they got a bit bigger budget. But it's still a home studio,
- 11:01you know what I mean. And it's funny, man, because going
- 11:07back to the music, like you was talking about Quincy right now, I'm
- 11:11really big into production. I'm trying to do my own thing as far as
- 11:16like producing my own records, mixing my own records, mastering my own records.
- 11:18So I can release stuff without having the constrain of what you're talking about,
- 11:22Quincy, budget because at the end of the day, music is super
- 11:26expensive to make if you're doing it quote unquote the right way, you know
- 11:30what I mean. And if you don't got legit five g's extra month to
- 11:35do your music, you're not going to do it the way that is quote
- 11:39unquote right. So you got to get creative and you got to figure out
- 11:43ways to still make music, still put something out for the people that's tapped
- 11:48in that are fans, but also not be able to kind of lean on
- 11:52the excuse of the money, not lean on the excuse of oh, I
- 11:54don't have this resource or whatever. So you got to kind of figure out
- 11:58a way to do it. And it's the same thing in every industry,
- 12:01same thing in every creative endeavor that anybody does. And you can't get too
- 12:07caught up in like what everybody else is saying as far as like, oh,
- 12:11what you need to do or how you need to do it, because
- 12:13it's, like you said, Quincy, a lot of the people that's going
- 12:16to tell you you're doing stuff wrong or you got to do it this way
- 12:18to do it right, they're not doing anything anyway. So it's like those
- 12:22people are always going to say something. And that's the thing about people online,
- 12:28the comments all that stuff, even though people come in at Bobby League
- 12:31like oh, you're a lazy comedian or whatever. You know, it was
- 12:35the interviewer, but it's also been a sentiment that they've brought up to him
- 12:39before as far as like the way he operates, and it's like, Bro,
- 12:41he's a successful guy. He kind of does stuff on his own.
- 12:45And he was talking about Kat Williams in the same breath that I was kind
- 12:48of talking about him. Podcasts, Yeah, and he's monetizing all of them
- 12:54and they're all big, you know what I'm saying. And he was saying
- 12:56that he wishes he was like Kat Williams in that sense of he's so free
- 13:01and he can go on a podcast and say that and you know, still
- 13:03have his career not have to worry about anything because he's not trying to be
- 13:07cool with any of these people anyway, you know what I mean. That
- 13:09was kind of like my thing when we were talking with Jari. He had
- 13:13great points, and the way I was looking at it was from that point
- 13:18of view, It's like I'm not really so caught up in exactly what he
- 13:20was saying. I was just I enjoyed the idea that he could say it
- 13:26and say in a freeing way where it's like you can check him, you
- 13:28can say he's lying, you can say whatever you want. But at the
- 13:31end of the day, he said whatever he wanted and nothing changed in his
- 13:35life, you know what I mean. He just said it and he kept
- 13:37it moving, right, And that's kind of like the thing in those kinds
- 13:41of situations, those kind of people, And that's like something myself that I
- 13:43strive for, just in business, everything I do, with my music,
- 13:48everything. I don't want to ever be strapped to something where it's like I
- 13:52can't do things the way I want to do because I want to. I
- 13:56don't want to ruin my situation. It's like, my situation is my situation.
- 13:58I create myself situation. So whatever I want to do, I'm gonna
- 14:01do. I'm gonna do it the right way, and I'm gonna work hard
- 14:05at it, but I'm not gonna do it in the construct of what somebody's
- 14:07telling me. I have to do it, And you know, right,
- 14:11even with the music, bro like a lot of the stuff that I've been
- 14:13doing on my own. A lot of people from the beginning of when I
- 14:16started making music, a lot of the stuff that I've done on my own,
- 14:20people have told me like, oh, like you sequence ago, you're
- 14:22not doing it right. Oh, you got to do it this way.
- 14:26Oh if you don't do it like this, You're never gonna do this.
- 14:28But a lot of the success that I've had musically has been stuff that I've
- 14:33done right here in this studio that I'm in right now, which is at
- 14:35my house, you know what I mean. I converted the garage into a
- 14:39studio and here is where I do appreciate it, and here is where I
- 14:45do pretty much all my content, and I do some of it outside.
- 14:48Obviously, I have people that I collaborate with, people that I link with.
- 14:52But at the end of the day, what I'm doing is what I'm
- 14:54doing, and I'm the only one that cares about it that much that's going
- 14:58to be doing it night and day, you know what I mean. And
- 15:01the people that listen to my stuff and the people that you know, support
- 15:03my music and everything. I've never ever had anybody reach out to me and
- 15:09say, hey, this is the quality on this doesn't sound like that one,
- 15:11or Hey did you record this in the studio? Or you know what
- 15:13I'm saying. Like even like the content that I've put online, a lot
- 15:18of the stuff that performs the best is stuff that I shot on my phone.
- 15:22I spent thousands of dollars on videos setting up different things, studio sessions,
- 15:26you know, or instrumentalists, you know, people that play instruments,
- 15:33engineers, produce all the stuff. But at the end of the day,
- 15:37the stuff that I'm doing myself is what's connecting with my audience because it's me
- 15:41and that's who I want to connect with. People that like me and like
- 15:45what I'm doing, you know what I mean. That was one thing that
- 15:48is funny. Man. One of the dudes that we were working with in
- 15:52Atlanta, Quincy, of the dude that we don't work one of the dudes
- 15:54we don't work with anymore, he gave me a great tip. Bro.
- 15:58He was like, whatever you gonna do, that's gonna put you on That's
- 16:00what they're gonna expect out of you. So you gotta be real conscious of
- 16:03what you're doing if it aligns with who you are. You know what I'm
- 16:07saying, And I always I always took that advice and I always kept it
- 16:12in my forefront because it makes sense. Bro. It's like a lot of
- 16:17these people. And it's funny because when we're on social media, you always
- 16:21see different posts when you're scrolling in Instagram, TikTok or whatever, posts that
- 16:27are viral just for being viral. Like the post itself is like a little
- 16:32video and said how I got a million views on my reel or whatever.
- 16:37It's like, all right, cool, you're reaching people with this, but
- 16:41you can't convert that into anything most of the time, especially like if I
- 16:45put out a video and say, hey, this is how I got my
- 16:48video to X amount. All right, cool, But are they gonna listen
- 16:53to my music just because I'm telling them I got this viral? You know
- 16:57what I mean. And it's something me and Quincy was talking about off air
- 17:02before where it's like you see a lot of these celebrities, you see a
- 17:06lot of these people online. They're getting these numbers and you're getting enamored by
- 17:10the numbers, but the numbers don't necessarily translate into dollars. Like Jari's a
- 17:15great example because his online presence isn't like amazing for where he's at professionally,
- 17:22you get what I'm saying, Like, it definitely doesn't match up with what
- 17:25he's actually doing, but he's so focused on the reality of the situation that
- 17:30he's making the right moves and even though people aren't necessarily looking at it,
- 17:34or you know, you're not looking at his page and saying, oh my
- 17:37gosh, bro, he's on or whatever best belief he's putting in the work,
- 17:41you know what I'm saying. And even with this podcast, something we
- 17:45were talking about before we got on, it's like, how do we get
- 17:48this to the point where we know, I mean, to the position that
- 17:52we know it should and could be because of what we're doing, the type
- 17:56of content that we're talking about, the vision that we have for it,
- 18:00aligning what we're doing with the quote unquote outside appearance, slash the exposure,
- 18:07you know what I mean. And that's something that's like super hard to navigate
- 18:10nowadays because back in the day, it was, you know, a team
- 18:14of ten people doing what each one of us are asked to do individually.
- 18:18Now you know what I'm saying, and it's even overwhelming. Joe was talking
- 18:22about it earlier, like he's more of like an extra overted person in real
- 18:26life. You know, he'll go out there and meet people, introduce himself.
- 18:30He's a likable guy. People mess with him. But when it comes
- 18:33to online, it's like it's not that same thing and they don't translate the
- 18:37same way, and you got to figure it out, and you almost got
- 18:41to be damn near a social media manager just to get your Instagram or whatever
- 18:47to the place you wanted to be. And it's like we're not all on
- 18:48that type of time, right, Yeah, that's damn sure, because I
- 18:53know I'm not when it comes to the social media bro. I tell my
- 18:59fantasy all the time. Man, if it wasn't for the music stuff,
- 19:02I probably wouldn't even be on it, you know what I mean, just
- 19:03because it's I don't know, it's impersonal for me, you know what I'm
- 19:07saying, Like I don't keep up with people on it like I used to.
- 19:11I just kind of now I'm on it for sports and music basically,
- 19:14you know. So yeah, I know it's a different it's a different room
- 19:17for sure. I feel that, man. And even like for me,
- 19:19I'm like super just to myself, I'm real comfortable just being alone just in
- 19:25my thoughts and stuff. So the social media thing is even more challenging for
- 19:29me because I don't like, I don't even want to be consumed by you
- 19:33know, I don't even care to you know what I'm saying. I don't
- 19:36even care to comment, I don't care to whatever. Like it's like I
- 19:40don't expect nobody to be keeping up with my stuff, so I'm not keeping
- 19:44up with their stuff. But then at the end of the day, I'm
- 19:47an artist and I'm still trying to reach my audience as an artist and trying
- 19:51to kind of marry those two things where it's like, how do I present
- 19:57my art in a way that it's satisfying to me as a person, you
- 20:02know what I'm saying, Like when I walk away from my phone, I'm
- 20:04happy with what I put out, you know what I'm saying. Because the
- 20:07social media thing to me is like inherently against my nature. So it's like
- 20:12a lot of the things that I do on it, I already feel like
- 20:15I'm compromising myself by doing it, you know what I mean. And it
- 20:18might be a too like a thing where I'm reading too much into it and
- 20:23I'm putting more stock on it than I should. But that's just how I
- 20:26feel, you know what I mean. Like the social media thing, to
- 20:29me, there's a lot of you know, things that could really feed into
- 20:34bad vices, and a lot of stuff there that even for me, it's
- 20:37like I look at it, like, bro, I wouldn't care if somebody
- 20:41posted this, So why was somebody gonna care if I posted it? You
- 20:44know what I'm saying, Like if it came across my feed, I'm not
- 20:47even gonna look at two seconds of it, you know what I mean.
- 20:51So it's just like a weird little struggle with it. And then it has
- 20:56to be weird the other way too, like for the people that really do
- 20:57care, when they're spending all this time and really checking up on it and
- 21:00looking at the numbers, and you know that that gotta be real disheartening too,
- 21:04because it warps the way you're thinking, you know what I mean,
- 21:07It makes you think that, you know, it puts you in a mind
- 21:11state where you think people are against you and they're really not, you know
- 21:14what I mean. Something I've talked about before about the support it's like sometimes
- 21:18we take people not supporting us very personally, but it's like dog, like
- 21:22you know, how you get wrapped up in your own life, you know,
- 21:26it's how to apply that to other people. It's like, that's why
- 21:27you got to figure out a way to really do something that's really going above
- 21:32and beyond for somebody to say, Yo, this is bringing joy to me
- 21:34and it's bringing happiness to my life. So I'm gonna carve time out for
- 21:40it, you know what I mean. You gotta win and you gotta win
- 21:42people over for that. And I think, like you know, when I
- 21:47did it, it was more social media was just starting. So you know,
- 21:52there's an algorithm of social media, but it's an algorithm for real life
- 21:55too. If you see certain groups of people and every time you see them
- 22:00trying to put you onto something and you don't really care about it, and
- 22:02then it comes to day where you're trying to put them onto something, they're
- 22:04going to reciprocate that energy, you know, And same thing as online algorithm.
- 22:10You don't show anybody love online. You don't wish them every birthday,
- 22:12you don't like the pictures. When you drop something, they gonna not do
- 22:17it just for that exact reason, Like you don't like my pigs. They
- 22:21don't show me love how much I like this ship. Yeah, that's a
- 22:25funny thing too, cause I'm the type of guy that, like, I
- 22:29don't care about my own birthday, So I'm not gonna I'm not even keeping
- 22:33track of people's birthdays, you know what I mean. Like, it's just
- 22:34not a thing in my world. You know, like obviously my kids,
- 22:37my wife, like my family, like people that are close to me,
- 22:41you know what I'm saying, Like I'll make an effort to at least wish
- 22:44them happy birthday whatever. But if it's not like a you know, a
- 22:48group of like you know, ten people or less, Bro, I'm not
- 22:51gonna wish you happy birthday. Like, it's just not the thing I do.
- 22:55And a lot of people take that super personal birthday thing. For some
- 23:00people is like they'll base their whole relationship with you off of how you treat
- 23:06them on their birthday. Bro. And I've seen it with some people people
- 23:11and it like, to me, it's like it's so crazy because if you
- 23:15could see it from my point of view, this is not even in my
- 23:18realm, and it's such a non factor that if you could understand that,
- 23:22you wouldn't take it. Like if I'm trying you, you know what I
- 23:25mean. It's like even though you know, and to always laugh about it
- 23:27in the office, Like when Jim was trying to get Phyllis and Stanley to
- 23:33cover for him while he had the other job, and he's like, come
- 23:36on, we're friends, and he's like, we're not friends whatever. It's
- 23:37oh, you know. Stanley was like, whoa, so when's my birthday?
- 23:41And he's like Jim's like, oh, that's not fair. When's my
- 23:44birthday? And Stanley's like, I don't know, we not friends, you
- 23:47know what I mean. And it's like that same kind of thing. It's
- 23:49like, bro, like you not even tuned into what I'm you know what
- 23:52I'm saying, Like what I got going on? So why are you taking
- 23:56it offensive when I'm not tuned into what you got going you know what I
- 23:59mean. But that's why I'm so intrigued by, you know, as an
- 24:04artist, by the new fans and the people that actually appreciate me just for
- 24:11the music. Like I'm very intrigued by that in comparison with people that know
- 24:15me outside the music and how they react and because like, don't get me
- 24:21wrong, like I'm not expecting you to like the music just because you know
- 24:25me not at all, you know what I'm saying. But I am intrigued
- 24:29by those people that have no ties to me, that are looking forward to
- 24:33the me. Like having fans is actually really dope, you know what I
- 24:37mean, because it's like we don't have you have no reason to like me,
- 24:41but because of the content that I put out, and you like the
- 24:45content that I put out, And that's dope, you know what I mean.
- 24:48Like I can appreciate that, like I can. I have no hard
- 24:49feelings by you know, only following like like certain fans and like people are
- 24:56actually engaged with Like I don't followed a lot of people because it's like you
- 25:00were an acquaintance at a certain time in my life. Like there's and I've
- 25:04accepted that there's no reason for me to even fool myself into thinking that we're
- 25:10friends, you know what I mean. Facts, Bro, I don't followed
- 25:11like I think it was like six hundred people, and I'm still like I'm
- 25:17still feeling the effects of it, just from the point of view of how
- 25:21but hurt people got over it, and like even as they keep figuring out
- 25:26that I followed them, Like as time goes, and it's kind of like
- 25:27the same thing you said, Bro, if I met you one time three
- 25:30years ago at a random event, and I met you through somebody that I'm
- 25:34not even really cool with. It's like, Bro, I do not care
- 25:38what you got going on in your life. Dog, I don't even know
- 25:41who you are. Like some of these people don't even know their real names,
- 25:44you know what I mean. Like I'm not enamored with just seeing what
- 25:47people got going on and stuff like that. And I don't even like stuff
- 25:51popping up in my feed that I don't know who they are, what they
- 25:53you know what I'm saying, Like I don't like that kind of stuff.
- 25:56And it's funny, like you said, you know, these people have like
- 26:03not a sense of entitlement, but it's just kind of like online they do
- 26:07where it's like, you know, they feel like you owe them something with
- 26:12that follow or whatever the case is. And it's like, Dog, this
- 26:17is not this phone thing, Like it's such a crazy concept to me,
- 26:21just because it's not even a real world. It's kind of like just like
- 26:23a world in our heads that opens up when you open the phone, you
- 26:27know what I'm saying. And it's like I don't know, man. I
- 26:32always always have a hard time going back and forth on the social media thing
- 26:37and just kind of figuring out my footing and my place in it, because
- 26:41a lot of times I feel like I don't have a place in it,
- 26:44you know what I mean. There's a lot of entitlement, man. There's
- 26:48a lot of way people, a lot of people who feel the way that
- 26:53you must respond and interact with them. That's just annoying. And that's why
- 26:59I makes a break some relationships. If you didn't respond to something or react
- 27:03the way they wanted you to on an electronic digital platform, it affects the
- 27:11personal, real life relationship and that's just that's just dumb. But it's something
- 27:15that's part of this generation. Yeah. I had a conversation with somebody that
- 27:19was like telling me how like a few years ago, they would get like
- 27:25four or five hundred, like you're cutting out, you sound like you're like
- 27:27walking in the woods, and you keep hiding behind the tree, like you
- 27:30know what I'm saying, Like you're talking and then you're hiding behind the tree,
- 27:33and then you're talking again and you hide behind the tree. Does it
- 27:37does it sound better? Does it sound better? Now Yeah, yeah,
- 27:40Okay, I was having a conversation with somebody that basically was like, you
- 27:44know, a couple of years ago, they would get like, is it
- 27:45still cutting out? Yeah, It's like it's like it just drags out at
- 27:49the end. LA, that's crazy because I've been sitting in the same position
- 27:53no time. All right, I'm talking. I know, it's just that's
- 27:57weird. But yeah, I mean basically they would you know, they used
- 28:02to get like five hundred likes in the picture and now it's down to like
- 28:04maybe like eighty ninety. And in their mind, they've you know, basically
- 28:08concluded that like a certain amount of people don't mess with them no more,
- 28:11blah blah blah. And I'm like, bro, the algorithm is different,
- 28:15Like, you know what I'm saying, The algorithm has shifted to present way
- 28:19more ads now than your post. Like, and you're in your mind,
- 28:26you've really convinced yourself that so many people don't like you anymore, when in
- 28:30reality they probably haven't even seen the post. Fact and kind of like you're
- 28:34saying, the ads and also Instagram is promoting stuff that gets a lot of
- 28:40plays right now, you know what I'm saying. The stuff that people are
- 28:42commenting, sharing all that stuff, like that's getting priorities. So that's why
- 28:45even you're seeing a lot of stuff with people you don't even follow. Like
- 28:48a lot of times I go out my thing and it's like I don't even
- 28:52see people I follow until I get down like halfway through, you know what
- 28:53I mean. Going off of what you said too, Quincy, you know,
- 28:57like I got like three thousands the followers on Instagram. Sometimes I'll pull
- 29:02up a post and I'll check the insights and it'll be like accounts reached fifty
- 29:06one, you know what I mean. It's just like, bro, I
- 29:08got three thousand something people that chose to follow me, and most of them
- 29:12are music people, because, like I said, a lot the people that
- 29:15I followed, they unfollowed me. So those are people that I know for
- 29:19like that I know for real real life I've met and stuff like that.
- 29:22So all the people that follow me really is just people that don't know me
- 29:26that follow me for the music. So even the people that are following me
- 29:30for the music, looking for the music, they're not even getting my content,
- 29:33you know what I'm saying. And then you get into this like little
- 29:37rut where you're like not a rut, but like you get on this wheel
- 29:40where you're like, Okay, let me try this kind of content, let
- 29:41me try this kind of let me change the look this way, let me
- 29:44do this that way. Oh man, this one works, so let me
- 29:45copy this one. And then before you know it, you're not even worried
- 29:51about like the original content that you're making. You know what I'm saying,
- 29:53You're just chasing that quote unquote good video that's going to give you that exposure
- 29:59or whatever you're looking for or and it's you know, it's a reason why
- 30:03you know, we've been talking a lot lately about just really pushing more like
- 30:07real things, like real events, real connections, you know, just things
- 30:12that are actually going to be feasible and there when the algorithm changes again,
- 30:21you know what I'm saying, it's gonna last through it. Yeah. It's
- 30:26funny, man, because I've mentioned it on the podcast before too, where
- 30:29it's like, if you, as a person, anybody that's listening to this,
- 30:33just think about how many times you actually think throughout the day, I
- 30:38wonder about Blank, I wonder if they're doing well today, let me call
- 30:42them or let me reach out or whatever. We all do it every once
- 30:45in a while. But when you really think about it, and you think
- 30:48about it as far as like days of the month thirty you know, regular
- 30:52month, thirty one days. How many of those days, how many minutes
- 30:56in that month are you spending genuinely thinking about somebody? I was worrying about
- 31:00their well being, you know what I'm saying. And even those people on
- 31:03that you are doing that with, it's a very short list. It's probably
- 31:07the people you live with. It's probably your significant other, and my direct
- 31:11family exactly, sometimes my friends, but most of the time I keep up
- 31:15with my friends in the chat, so I just exactly they're all right,
- 31:18So I don't really wake up wondering if they're okay unless I'm really concerned about
- 31:23one of them. Exactly. It's not a big list, no matter how
- 31:26cool you are with your friends, Like exactly what you said, unless it's
- 31:30something going on that you specifically know and and and you know it's in your
- 31:34forefront of your mind, you're not just thinking about them. You know,
- 31:37you're not just saying, oh, man, I hope this guy ate today,
- 31:41you know what I'm saying, Like, you're not thinking about stuff like
- 31:42that so for you to think somebody else is thinking about you that way is
- 31:48like it just doesn't make sense, you know what I'm saying. Far fetched,
- 31:51it's definitely far fetching. Like so many people spend so much time just
- 31:56worrying like what am I doing for other people not to accept me? When
- 32:00it's like, dog, these people are not even thinking about you, you
- 32:04know what I'm saying. They already made up their mind on if they're gonna
- 32:07mess with what you're doing or not, like a long time ago. And
- 32:09it just that's it, bro Like, you know, we get so caught
- 32:13up and making supporters out of the people around us, and it just it's
- 32:17not a it's not a good game plan. It's not a feasible thing,
- 32:21you know what I'm saying. I think we've all run into that. And
- 32:27it's the same thing as someone trys to shove a Ponzi scream or what's it
- 32:32called a pyramid scheme down your throat. You can't shove any think down.
- 32:37So if they're not welcome inment or ready for it, regardless of what it
- 32:43is, in fact, it's gonna be reacting to the same way. Yeah,
- 32:46and we can kind of wind down with this, it's kind of like
- 32:50being a salesman. Even like they always teach salesmen, you do your pitch.
- 32:53If you don't hook them, move on to the next one. Why
- 32:57Because they're not gonna spend X amount of time trying to convince that one person
- 33:00when they can hit seven other people in that time and maybe, you know,
- 33:05maybe get three out of those seven or two out of those seven,
- 33:07but instead of spending that same time just trying to get one person, you
- 33:10know what I mean. And it's like that kind of salesman mentality in that
- 33:14sense people should apply to what they're doing. It's like, all right,
- 33:16I'm presenting this to you, you're not the person that likes it. I'm
- 33:20gonna keep it moving. Yeah, it's good approach. But yeah, man,
- 33:24I know last week we were talking about, you know, Quincy was
- 33:29just kind of get us settled in coming back from the cruise and everything,
- 33:30and we were just kind of touching base period. And but aside from that,
- 33:36we were talking in the chat about some little stories that he had about
- 33:39the cruise and like little interesting things, and we kind of started, you
- 33:44know, expanding on it, but we wanted to save it for the pod
- 33:46so you know, Quincy, you want to go ahead and just kind of
- 33:50give you your breakdown of your experience on the cruise. I know it was
- 33:52like a different kind of crowd and that kind of led into, you know,
- 33:57the thought that you have with it. Yeah, yeah, sure.
- 34:00So like prior to this, looking cruises too, like how many days where'd
- 34:04you go? Because a lot of people like knowing cruising for uh, what
- 34:08line you used? Where'd you go? How many days? All that stuff
- 34:12got you? Got you? So yeah, prior to this cruise, I
- 34:15had only been on Carnival and I do have one schedule for Royal Caribbean.
- 34:20But this cruise was with MSc, which is a Italian based cruise line,
- 34:25and it was a seven be around for a while. They're fairly new.
- 34:30I know that they're fairly new to the US. I don't know how long
- 34:34they've been established, but I know that I got on a flight a couple
- 34:37of years ago and this this older white guy had mentioned it to me.
- 34:40And then the fiance has found this boat like on a TikTok and so you
- 34:45know she was able to set it up. But this was a seven day
- 34:50cruise went to Cayman Islands. Jamaica, Bahamas and Cozamo, Mexico. And
- 34:57like I mentioned before, it's an Italian based cruise line, so a lot
- 35:00is real quick just to give me a backstory on the cruise. MC Cruises
- 35:06is a Swiss global cruise line based in Geneva with operations in Naples, Genoa,
- 35:12and Venice. So actually Swiss, but they're set up in Italy.
- 35:15Yeah, and they actually started in nineteen seventy in Italy, but they're based
- 35:21out of Switzerland, got you. And so as of recent I think they've
- 35:25kind of started to sail out of the US. I left from Miami,
- 35:35and so you know, with that being said, a lot of the patrons,
- 35:39a lot of the guests on the boat were were European based, and
- 35:45so you know, before I get into that, huh they were hometown for
- 35:53that. Facts, Yeah, big facts. What I will say though,
- 35:58before I get into that, was the experience was amazing, super organized.
- 36:02I mean we were on the first day, we were on the boat by
- 36:06noon drinking already like they How do you compare it to Carnival, which that's
- 36:08been the You've been on multiple Carnival cruises, so how do you compare it
- 36:12to that? Aside from the culture shock, I guess you could call it.
- 36:17Everything else was better. The only thing, yeah, the only thing
- 36:22I would say probably isn't better than Carnival. It's just the aspect of Carnival
- 36:29is you know, more American based, so like the music is a little
- 36:31bit more American based, Like the music on MSc was basically like global.
- 36:38So you know, you had a little bit of everything, which is okay,
- 36:42you know, but that to me didn't really face because I usually bring
- 36:45my speaker anyways and do my own thing, you know. But aside from
- 36:49that, food was better, organization was better. The experiences as far as
- 36:57like you know, excursions, options and all that kind of stuff was better.
- 37:00All of that kind of stuff was better. But as far as Carnival,
- 37:04you know, being like the fun cruise, Like if you're looking for
- 37:07the fun cruise, yeah, you'll probably still have a better time on Carnival,
- 37:13but everything else, like for me, this was a great relaxing vacation,
- 37:16you know, but getting to the you know, the other stuff,
- 37:22the nitty gritty of it, you know, you have to like thankfully,
- 37:29we kind of prepared ourselves mentally for it because, uh, you know,
- 37:32my fiance is a type a like to the max, like she prepares everything.
- 37:38So she had did her homework and looked it up and found out that,
- 37:42like, if you aren't familiar with MSc and the European culture, you
- 37:45will get familiar on the boat. And you know, with that being said,
- 37:49you know, it was just very different, you know, because the
- 37:52culture, you know, and the way people are over there is just a
- 37:57lot different from the standpoint of like, uh, they have tunnel vision,
- 38:00you know, they have tunnel vision. It's like, you know, they're
- 38:04not worried about the people around them. You know what I'm saying. If
- 38:07we're getting in an elevator, if I'm standing at the elevator and they walked
- 38:10up, they're running inside that elevator, you know what I'm saying, it
- 38:14doesn't matter, Like that's that's that's in their mind. It's like, you
- 38:17know, a situational awareness. Yeah, there's no situational awareness exactly. And
- 38:22I say that with all due respect because again I don't know the culture there.
- 38:28Maybe the culture there is like that, maybe that's not considered disrespectful,
- 38:32you know what I'm saying. I know that for me, I had to
- 38:36hold my tongue a couple of times, you know. But you know that
- 38:40was the only part or aspect of it that I didn't enjoy was just you
- 38:45know, the like I said, that cultural difference of the people that you
- 38:51know, I was kind of around like, so when you look for like
- 38:52a communal aspect when you're doing something like that, like do you enjoy like
- 38:58meeting people that you didn't know, like maybe sitting around somebody, and are
- 39:01you doing something like or is it more like what you're's saying right now,
- 39:05where you're just more wan than like a common courtesy? Both really both.
- 39:09I mean, the main thing was the common courtesy. I feel like that
- 39:13is just the natural thing. But again, like I said, it's natural
- 39:15for me, I don't know what's natural in Europe, you know, or
- 39:19Spain or whatever. But I also and this kind of goes to a con
- 39:23for MSc for me because I didn't even think about that aspect of it.
- 39:27Lester, When I'm on a cruise and I'm drinking and I'm having a good
- 39:31time and everybody around me is doing the same thing, I have absolutely no
- 39:35problem talking to a stranger and sparking up a conversation. That's me though,
- 39:38you know, my fiance. She looks at me like I'm crazy when I
- 39:40do it. But I enjoy that, you know what I'm saying. On
- 39:44MSc, I wasn't really able to do that because a lot of them don't
- 39:46even speak English, you know. So it's more your own vibe type thing.
- 39:51It's definitely more of like your own unless you're in with them, unless
- 39:59you're exactly exactly Yeah. So I mean, other than that, had a
- 40:04great time. You know, there are some differences with you know, Carnival
- 40:08MSc that they both had the pros and cons. From what I hear,
- 40:13Royal Caribbean is probably my happy medium. I haven't been on Royal Caribbean yet,
- 40:16but I will be in March. Yeah, I've only been on Royal
- 40:20cruises and obviously I don't have nothing to compare it to. But I've always
- 40:22had a great time and I've never had any complaints. Yeah, I'm looking
- 40:25forward to that one. I really hope it'll be a dope vibe. But
- 40:29yeah, I enjoy Yeah. Man, when you was talking about it originally
- 40:32and even when you talked about it now, it just really right away gave
- 40:36me that let that idea of being at Disney because when you think about,
- 40:40it's kind of the same crowd, a lot of international people. And every
- 40:45time I be at Disney, I gotta be on my Wentworth shit, you
- 40:47know what I mean. Like you got to kind of get your like your
- 40:51gully on a little bit because, like you said, bro, like nobody's
- 40:54gonna be courteous, So you got to kind of be a little cutthroat with
- 40:58the way you move especially, you know what I mean. And that definitely
- 41:01adds like an extra layer of like you're on and even Disney is the same
- 41:07thing. It's a vacation vibe. Bro. You don't want to be on
- 41:09some like let me make sure somebody don't cut me in line? You know
- 41:15that kind of vi because it happens to Disney all the time. Bro.
- 41:16We be in a line the person behind us the whole time. And you
- 41:21know Disney lines, Dog, you're talking about thirty to like two hours.
- 41:24You know, thirty minutes to two hour lines. Bro, you got somebody
- 41:28behind you for like thirty minutes, and then you know, on minute thirty
- 41:32one, they get in front of you in the line, right, and
- 41:36it's like and you gotta check them, and you gotta literally move them and
- 41:39get it from like, no, Bro, you've been behind me this whole
- 41:42time. Get behind and most of the time they don't even speak English,
- 41:45you know what I'm saying. They from Europe, they from South America,
- 41:49they from Asia, they from anywhere. You know, they coming from different
- 41:52countries, and they do not care. Bro. It's like, this is
- 41:54my experience. I don't care who's here, and you got to kind of
- 41:58be cutthroat about it. And that extra layer. My wife always says,
- 42:02I don't like going to Disney, and it's like, it's not that I
- 42:05don't like going to Disney. Is that when you're the man of the family,
- 42:07you going with a different mentality, you know what I mean. Like
- 42:09protect you protecting your pack, You're carrying all the bags and stuff. You
- 42:14making sure everybody's good, you know what I'm saying. So it's like it's
- 42:16expected exactly, so you're not really like just hanging out, you know what
- 42:21I'm saying. Like, especially Bro, when the kids was a small dog
- 42:23and we had that double stroller. Bro, oh my gosh, I get
- 42:29PTSD from that. Bro. I will bro if I had like a kid
- 42:32now, I don't know, Bro, I might for that shit, Bro,
- 42:37I might got to throw them into Oliver Twist Home. You know what
- 42:38I'm saying, I'm not trying to deal with that again. But yeah,
- 42:45man, I feel like that is kind of like I kind of equated a
- 42:49little bit to like New York culture too, Like as far as like the
- 42:52tourists and stuff, it's like they're just kind of in that mindset of like
- 42:55I'm here to do what I'm here to do. If you lacking bad for
- 43:00you, I'm gonna get my stuff done. And if you don't say nothing,
- 43:02you know, because that's another thing that I know, I don't know.
- 43:06I want to hear your take on the two Quincy. But like in
- 43:08Disney, when people are like that, once you check them, they're you
- 43:13know, most of the time right away they already know they back off.
- 43:15It's it's almost like they're waiting for you to check them, you know what
- 43:19I mean, They're just trying to see how much they can get away with
- 43:22exact that That bothers me too, because it's like, you know you're doing
- 43:24something wrong, Like you know what I'm saying, Like you step back because
- 43:28you knew you was doing something wrong, but you still did it. You
- 43:30know what I'm saying, like why I got to check you for you to
- 43:31to not do something wrong, Like exactly, Bro. They got to a
- 43:36point by like day three, Bro, like I would hit the elevator and
- 43:38I was standing right in front of the door, like I want somebody to
- 43:40jump in front of them. Yeah, you know what, I think?
- 43:44This is like difference too. It's like you do you bring up Disney and
- 43:47I get it, But at the same time, we're the home team,
- 43:51you know what I'm saying. When you go to New York, you sit
- 43:53New York people, they're the home team. So I feel like I'm Quincy's
- 43:57ship those people because of where that shit it's from, they were the home
- 44:00team, so they got that extra kind of battery in the back to act
- 44:06that way, you know what I mean. And so I think that gives
- 44:07a little advantage if it's like, oh, this is this is my hood,
- 44:10you know what I'm saying, Like the tourists come here, but they
- 44:13don't claim it's their hood. They just act like they're in their hood.
- 44:16But it's people. When you actually go into people's environment where they feel super
- 44:22the most comfortable, they're gonna be brave. I'll tell you one thing,
- 44:25broy probably was like thirty thirty five black people in that boat max, out
- 44:31of what fifteen hundred three thousand, at least three thousand. Yeah, yeah,
- 44:36it was not that many, bro. The few that we did run
- 44:38into, we were just joking. Bro. We was like, yeah,
- 44:40man, it's a lot of salt. No Pep owned his mom tunes out
- 44:47from Norwegian seven days and I'm looking forward to two months you said, Yeah,
- 44:53March sixteen. Where you going mother in law's birthday, seven year birthday,
- 45:00his entire fam, my entire fam. It stops in the British Islands,
- 45:02the Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, in Mexico. I
- 45:07think five stops out of the seven days. Yeah. Yeah. Cruises are
- 45:12dope, man. We talked about it before, but it's such a like
- 45:14care free vacation, you know what I mean, Especially like I said,
- 45:17like whenever you're like the head of the household, a cruise is like heaven
- 45:22dog because it's like you can kind of let go of a lot of that
- 45:25like having to take charge things, because it's like they got the itineraries,
- 45:30they got the food, you know, they got the buffaced out foods,
- 45:34so you don't even got to worry about who wants what. It's like,
- 45:36bro, we're gonna get the table. Y'all gonna get whatever the hell you
- 45:38want. I'm gonna get whatever the hell I want. We just eat.
- 45:42You know, everybody do their thing. You don't got to worry about,
- 45:45you know, at least for me, because I got kids. I don't
- 45:47got to worry about the kids getting into nothing crazy because you know, they
- 45:50got the little areas and stuff, and they got people monitoring all the time,
- 45:53so it's like super chill. That's just like to me, it's like
- 45:57the old fool. You can play some beer punk, some bean bags they
- 46:01had. I'm definitely afraid of flying, so if I don't gotta fly,
- 46:07I'm good on that. But you're not afraid of the waters of the ship,
- 46:10not at all. You're not at seed. You never had rough seas,
- 46:14even I did one time. I had a cruise one time that they
- 46:17didn't let us get off on one of the stops because the water was too
- 46:22long. But all right, so one time I'm in like that Grand staircase
- 46:27shit, you know, the probably the main staircase in the middle of every
- 46:30cruise ship where like all the pictures go down everybody And if you looked out
- 46:36the windows on the right side of that, the boat was tilted sideways that
- 46:39it was just water all the way up to the top. Windows are wanted.
- 46:45That's how bad it was. Like, these are the roughest way I've
- 46:49ever seen. Like when we were eating dinner, I had to go to
- 46:52the end of the table because not one person at the table could see the
- 46:57water is just going like this in the window in front of them. Yeah,
- 47:00Like it was the most insane. That's why I'm like, some people
- 47:02hate flying because that's a lot of what I heard that day. But you
- 47:06can deal with, like with rough winds and waters like that. Yeah.
- 47:09Facts, my brother's like that too. He's like scared of the water.
- 47:13And we always had that debate because it's like, Bro, something happens to
- 47:15the boat dog that thing going down so slow, Bro, and there's so
- 47:20many people here and they's played you know what I'm saying, It's kind of
- 47:23like, bro, like you're almost guaranteed to be all right, you know
- 47:27what I'm saying, Even like I have this like irrational thing, like it's
- 47:30like an irrational comfort when I fly to Puerto Rico, because it's like I
- 47:36know, a lot of the time we're over the water, so if something
- 47:38happens, you know what I'm saying, Like, it's a stupid land,
- 47:43it's a stupid thought. But it's like, bro, dog flying to me
- 47:46is so unnatural. Bro, I mean shit, we don't got wings,
- 47:50bro, So that flying ship dog, as much as as much as I
- 47:54can avoid it, I will. Like that's even part of the reason why
- 47:58I don't got my passport, bro, Like I have no desire to go,
- 48:00Like I do have a desire to see certain things, Like I definitely
- 48:05want to see the Coliseum, you know. I want to see like a
- 48:07whole bunch of life. Yeah, mat to beat you, Like, I
- 48:09want to see a whole bunch of like historical sites and stuff. But I'm
- 48:15like, I'm so scared of flying that the thought of I've been to like
- 48:19on a cross country flight, and that's like already too much for me,
- 48:22you know what I'm saying. So Like, if I'm if I am to
- 48:25do these international trips, bro, I gotta be loaded in money so I
- 48:30could do it like the most luxurious way possible, so that I'm not scared.
- 48:35Bro. You know what I'm saying I have no no, no,
- 48:38no hesitation to say that I'm the biggest pussy on an airplane. Bro.
- 48:44When I get on a plane and there's any kind of turbulence or anything,
- 48:47Bro, I'm tearing up. I'm holding the things next to me come hard.
- 48:52I'm thinking about everything I've done in my life. I'm wondering if I'm
- 48:55ever going to see the light of day again. I'm thinking about my kids,
- 48:59my wife, my family, the things that I haven't been able to
- 49:01do. Dog, I am going nuts that whole time, Bro, But
- 49:06you don't understand I hate flying with a passion. It's crazy because me and
- 49:09Quincy been on a few flights. And at that time when me and Quincy
- 49:13was on a few flights, like I went to LA a couple of times.
- 49:16I went to Dallas. I mean, Bro, I took mad flights
- 49:20in like this like five year period. But every time I was deathly afraid.
- 49:25Bro. Like, I only did it because I knew I wanted those
- 49:30experiences. I knew I couldn't live my life that way being so scared.
- 49:32Dog. But I was scared, dog. I was super duper duper scared
- 49:37dog. I figure definitely had those type of flights in my life. Yeah.
- 49:43Man, we went to Dallas. The Dallas flight I'm talking about,
- 49:45Bro, there was mad turbulence, Like it was turbulent to the point where
- 49:50they was giving out free drinks on the flight, like to calm people down,
- 49:52you know what I'm saying. And that flight actually ended up being super
- 49:57dope because I was actually randomly sitting next to some NFL referees and they were
- 50:02just talking about about to rig all of the games yo in fact now,
- 50:07but they were just like telling like more like behind the scenes type stories and
- 50:12stuff like I don't really remember too much because everybody was drinking. And you
- 50:15know what I'm saying, it was a joke. I was shot white over
- 50:16twenty nine yards. We're going to hold them back, yep. Bro.
- 50:20It's crazy stories about like players that you know, got caught with drugs,
- 50:25but like something happened where they were able to kind of like sweep it on
- 50:29the rug and nobody found out. You know, different things that happen at
- 50:31different parties and things that. Bro, it was crazy, crazy stuff and
- 50:35it goes back to what we was talking about at the beginning, like these
- 50:37people are just people, bro, and whatever. You know, whatever inclinations
- 50:42they have, they're gonna lean into those inclinations. And like, you know,
- 50:46like I said, like there's a there's players that have had situations that
- 50:51we just never hear about because they got the right people in place that are
- 50:53gonna conceal it. And then there's other players that rub people the wrong way
- 50:57that as soon as they mess up dog, they read need to blow their
- 51:00whole ship up. So it it goes back to that thing again. Bro.
- 51:06It's like, I mean, pretty much everything we've been talking about today
- 51:08has really just been like the differences in people and like how people do what
- 51:13they do and how it you know, they're just gonna do what they do
- 51:15regardless. Bro. That's That's just what it is, man. At the
- 51:20end of That's one of the things too. Like we like to talk about
- 51:22it a lot, and it's something that we we enjoy conversion about. And
- 51:25I'm the type of person I like talking about stuff like this, but it's
- 51:29not something that I really think about like in my daily life, you know
- 51:32what I mean, Like as far as like worrying about other people think and
- 51:36stuff capitalism and communism. Yeah, but when we even talking about and he
- 51:43just came out of nowhere, like jayde and Smith Oh yeah, but yeah,
- 51:50that sh it was funny, man, Like yeah, and treatment,
- 52:00yeah, that ship is so funny man. It's so funny too, like
- 52:04even the dynamics in the group chat, like it even goes back to what
- 52:06we're talking about. Like sometimes you'll write something, bro, and it'll be
- 52:09like a day and a half before anybody responds, and you're like, all
- 52:13right, so fuck me right, you know what I'm saying. And it's
- 52:15like we got that honesty now, Bill, after all the years it had
- 52:20in this chat, Like everybody's like, hey, talk about that ship facts.
- 52:25And it's funny because, like you said, Bro, when you start
- 52:28a chat, it's like everybody's responding to every single everybody. Anybody. Yeah,
- 52:32if they're not if they're not going to write something, they make sure
- 52:36they react to the message. You know what I mean. It's like everything
- 52:38has a reaction. Bro drinking Central Ceiling and I was like, wow,
- 52:43okay, song is cool. Well Bro, it's so funny, dog.
- 52:52And it's even like you know what happens when you like, say a joke
- 52:55or something like when you're playing Call of Duty and somebody else talked at the
- 52:59same time or something, and it was like that was that moment is just
- 53:01forever gone. Sometimes bangers Dog like the jokes like, yo, it's so
- 53:07funny. Even like one of the jokes that I put in the chat today,
- 53:10it just lined up perfectly and it just worked out. And I would
- 53:15have been so hurt if it didn't line up the way it did because I
- 53:16just felt like it was such a slapper dog. No, I'm like that
- 53:22too. I'm the kind of guy like if I'm telling a story, I
- 53:24don't tell a lot of stories, but then if everybody cuts me off and
- 53:28I don't get to finish my story, like yo, everything I said will
- 53:30not make sense unless I say the rest of this, Like no one's ever
- 53:36gonna hear the rest of this. I'm like quick, I gotta hear the
- 53:39facts. The worst thing is like when you and it's like inadvertent, like
- 53:45when you build up a story so much because of the interruptions or whatever,
- 53:49and then finally when everybody's ready to hear it, you're kind of like,
- 53:53if you put it on this stage, it ain't that good of a story.
- 53:55But if it was like a throw, you know, a throwing story.
- 53:58I was originally playing to be it would it hit you know what I'm
- 54:00saying. Yeah, I know, I know this is a quick pivot back
- 54:06to the cruise stuff, but I just wanted to kind of say this while
- 54:08before we locked off. But you know, my first cruise that I went
- 54:13on, I met uh this girl from some country and age. I can't
- 54:19remember her name, but you know, basically I just got to talking to
- 54:22her. She was just kind of telling me what kingpin, uh my back,
- 54:27I'm stretching my back up Paul episode. That's exactly why I said,
- 54:36king think because you just look like you about to make a decision that's gonna
- 54:38fuck somebody's life. I hate y'all, man, but no, but anyways,
- 54:45like so basically she told me that, like, you know, she
- 54:49does the cruise things for like a year and a half at a time,
- 54:52and she stacks her bread and then brings it back to her family, and
- 54:57so like, you know, when I learned that about her, you know,
- 55:00I kind of just started to like, you know, when you go
- 55:01on cruises, you get the person that cleans your room, you get your
- 55:06same waiters every night, or whatever, you know what I mean. You
- 55:07get those people that you see every day. Basically, and so, like
- 55:12I always make it a point to, like, you know what I'm saying,
- 55:15try to get to know them for that week or however long I'm there.
- 55:17And so I found out this time that, you know, my waiter
- 55:22he was from Mexico, and I guess apparently the minimum wage in Mexico is
- 55:28fourteen dollars a day. Shoo, fourteen dollars a day. So he said
- 55:34that what he does is he does the cruises for about eight nine months at
- 55:38a time, he stacks his money for his family, and then he goes
- 55:42back and then he does like regular labor just to have time with his family.
- 55:47Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, they work the cruisers. And so
- 55:50then I thing to just go on cruises for a year now, Oh no,
- 55:54no, no, they work them. And then so he'll do that,
- 55:57and then he'll do like three months of just manual labor in Mexico so
- 56:01he can be with his family and spend time with him, and he goes
- 56:05back on for another nine months and that's how he brings bread into the household.
- 56:08And like, I don't know, man, I just think about that
- 56:10sometimes. I'm like, man, like, you know, we complain sometimes
- 56:14about stupid things. You know, we'll go on vacation and go on cruise,
- 56:19especially wife, his wife, his family knows when we went to the
- 56:22vacation in Mexico, like every single person who took care of us on a
- 56:27really good level, just genuine level. We took care of everybody always,
- 56:31yeah, always everybody, every single day, every chance we got. We
- 56:36didn't ask for anything without compensating him with something, because we know what it's
- 56:39like, man, you know what, because they make they making real sacrifices,
- 56:44man, you know what I mean, like this boat for nine months
- 56:47at the time, and like just serving us and like making us feel the
- 56:52poor, and like bro pay his motherfuckers everything. Yeah, fact, and
- 56:58man, just to kind of like wrap it up with that, you know,
- 57:00you got people like that that they dedicate their whole life to serving others
- 57:05and they just keep their head down, work hard. They provide for their
- 57:09family, provide for people that maybe they don't necessarily have to provide for.
- 57:14They just take it upon themselves, you know what I'm saying. And those
- 57:17are the kind of people you got to think about when like you're saying,
- 57:21oh man, people don't support me and stuff like that. It's kind of
- 57:22like your sequence, you bro. So a lot of people ain't even on
- 57:25that type of time. You know, they got real things that they're dealing
- 57:29with. So for you know, for you to be like, oh,
- 57:31man, why isn't this person not you? You know, specifically just as
- 57:35a person just saying, oh, these people ain't supporting my stuff or whatever.
- 57:37It's like, dog, even right now, it's like a tough time
- 57:39for people period, you know what I'm saying, just with the way financially
- 57:44things are and everything. So it's you know, if it's something that you're
- 57:47doing, bro, it's exactly that it's something that you're doing. So figure
- 57:52out the plan, try to execute it to it for it to get you
- 57:55to the level that you want to be at, not just the level that
- 57:59you feel like you need to be at or whatever is going to give you
- 58:01the cloud or whatever. Just try to get it to the level you wanted
- 58:04to be at and make sure you're happy and comfortable, bro. And at
- 58:07the end of the day, that's all that really matters. Agree. But
- 58:13yeah, man, I got a new joint dropping. I believe it's February
- 58:16fourth, another one that I produced mixed Master Rope performed did Everything you hear
- 58:22me, and I'm just really locked in on that right now. We gotta
- 58:27have a lot more music that I've done myself dropping Aside from that, really,
- 58:34I'm just chilling dog anything else I want to throw in there before we
- 58:37hit the Goodbye ski. Yeah. Man, got a few songs myself that
- 58:42I actually wrote while I was on the cruise. I got a couple of
- 58:45collapsed with sign no Lie Yes Sir Freddy's Artist to Holy Freddy Yes there.
- 58:52So I got a few things working. Man. I'm super excited. I'm
- 58:55finally kind of transitioning into both my jobs, doubled the income, you know,
- 59:01ready to get this thing going. Like you said earlier, less you
- 59:05know what I mean. This music stuff is not cheap, and you know,
- 59:08I'm excited to be back in a situation where I can kind of get
- 59:10back on it. So yeah, man, I'm so excited for what the
- 59:15next like month, month and a half it is. Don't look like nice?
- 59:19What about you, Joe? Yeah. Now, my my three goals
- 59:22for this quarter, It's three things I said I was gonna do for years
- 59:25now and I haven't done this. H One of them is a highly uh
- 59:34disputed as far as even you needed the more. It's my con ce a
- 59:37weapons permit. I know in Florida as of July last year, you don't
- 59:40need it, but I feel I just want. I just want to be
- 59:44legit, you know what I mean? They are benefit even traveling. You
- 59:46can't travel if you don't. Yeah, there are benefits you get from having
- 59:51it. I want to have those benefits. I want to have the law
- 59:53wife. You and I took the class. It was very informational, like
- 59:57I know every single thing I didn't know before about carrying a piece and I'm
- 1:00:01glad I did that. So did that. Another thing, I always want
- 1:00:06to get a motorcycle license. My father is a Harley driver, a rider,
- 1:00:09and you know, we always dreamed about one day riding together. So
- 1:00:14I'm not sure if you hate the idea is she's completely against me getting it,
- 1:00:20but I said I'm going to get it, and I'm doing it.
- 1:00:22So that's coming up next weekend. But I hope you get a chance to
- 1:00:25ride, go on some trips for him. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:00:30Sierra style and then yeah, my P and P. You know what I'm
- 1:00:36saying is studying. I'm studying like crazy. I'm trying to get this by
- 1:00:39the beginning of VAPOR. It is my cut up date, so I'll completely
- 1:00:43focus on this man, and my health and working out and getting my body
- 1:00:46better. So this year started off right, man. Everything we talked about
- 1:00:51going into the end of last year, about starting routines and following through and
- 1:00:54staying committee and staying consistent. I'm still on track. And we know we're
- 1:01:00about twenty four days into the new year and they can't say I fell off
- 1:01:05here. So definitely proud of that accomplishment. Facts man. And before I
- 1:01:10sign this off, last thing I want to say is this, we all
- 1:01:15just described three completely different situations, but we all striving, we all supporting
- 1:01:21each other, and we're making sure that regardless of what all of us is
- 1:01:24doing, we're all doing something and we're all getting stuff done. Like they
- 1:01:30have these you know, these little memes and things online where they'd be trying
- 1:01:32to like specifically say like if your friend group isn't talking about going you know,
- 1:01:39going half on a condo and the freaking poor part of town, you
- 1:01:44guys aren't thinking, you know what I'm staying. And there's all these little
- 1:01:46things. But it's like, as long as you know the people, the
- 1:01:51people you with is good people and they got good values and that they're you
- 1:01:55know, keeping their head down and working hard and trying to strive for what
- 1:01:59they're doing. That's all that really matters because like what we were talking about,
- 1:02:01bro, at the end of the day, your life is your life.
- 1:02:04Everybody happy and if everybody not hurting nobody, that's all that really matters.
- 1:02:07So with that, I say, stay thin, but don't not do't
- 1:03:54not do't, not do't, not not a not after acting thing ever Atta
