- 17:31ask you up to 10 randomly chosen questions from the 100 civics
- 17:36test questions list. You must answer 6 questions
- 17:41correctly to pass the civics test portion.

- 20:43test. And remember, for the reading
- 20:46test, the officer will ask you to read up to three sentences on
- 20:50the tablet. You must read aloud one out of
- 20:53three sentences correctly to demonstrate inability to read in
- 20:57English. And for the writing test, the
- 21:01officer will read up to three sentences aloud and ask you to
- 21:05write them up on the tablet. You must write one sentence
- 21:09correctly to pass. Usually these sentences are
- 21:12based on the official vocabulary list the official USCIS website
- 21:17provides. Let's start with the first
- 21:22sentence. Now I'm going to show you a
- 21:26sentence on the screen and I would like you to read it back
- 21:29to me. Now listen carefully to this
- 21:39sentence that I'll say, and I want you to write it down,
- 21:43please. the United States has 50 states. the United States has 50
- 21:52states. OK, Can you read this sentence
- 21:57on the screen for me please? All right, now, please write
- 22:09this down. Lincoln was the president during
- 22:13the Civil War. Lincoln was the president during
- 22:18the Civil War. Please read this sentence.
- 22:32And here's your last writing sentence.

- 24:23permanent resident? How did you get your green card?
- 24:33What is your current legal name? Are one or both of your parents
- 24:41AUS citizen? What is your current mailing
- 24:47address? What's your previous address?
- 24:56Well, what do you do for a living?
- 25:01What is your current marital status?
- 25:07Have you ever claimed to be AUS citizen?
- 25:09Do you know what claimed means? State or cert that something is
- 25:18the case. Have you ever been declared
- 25:22legally incompetent or been confined to a mental
- 25:26institution? Have you ever voted in any
- 25:32federal, state, or local election in the United States?
- 25:39Have you ever not filed a federal, state, or local tax
- 25:42return since you became a lawful permanent resident?
- 25:46In other words, have you ever not filed a tax return?
- 25:53If you have filed all of your tax returns, choose NO.
- 25:57If you have not filed one or more of your tax returns, choose
- 26:02yes. Have you called yourself a
- 26:08non-us resident? Are you a member of the
- 26:14Communist Party? Were you ever involved in
- 26:20genocide or torture? Did you ever force someone to
- 26:27have sex? Were you ever a soldier, worker
- 26:34or helper in a prison or jail? Did you ever sell, give, or help
- 26:42someone get weapons? Did you ever break the law, help
- 26:49someone break the law, or try to break the law, but you were not
- 26:52arrested? Have you ever been arrested,
- 26:58cited or detained by any law enforcement officer, including
- 27:02immigration official or any official of the US Armed Forces
- 27:06for any reason? Do you support the Constitution
- 27:13and form of government of the United States?
- 27:19Do you understand the full oath of allegiance to the United
- 27:22States? What is an oath of allegiance?
- 27:31A promise to be loyal if the law requires it.
- 27:36Are you willing to perform work of national importance under
