You're 13 00:00:50.570 --> 00:00:54.410 listening to the top news for November 2025 released today. 14 00:00:54.410 --> 00:00:58.170 November 27th, Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. so 15 00:00:58.170 --> 00:01:01.770 if you're tuning in from the States, Happy Turkey Day. Enjoy long 16 00:01:01.770 --> 00:01:05.190 weekend and thanks for making part of your holiday listing 17 00:01:05.190 --> 00:01:08.710 ritual. As always, we split the news into 18 00:01:08.710 --> 00:01:12.430 two parts. Today's episode highlights the headline 19 00:01:12.430 --> 00:01:16.030 worthy stories shaping the Dach and European ecosystem 20 00:01:16.030 --> 00:01:19.750 this month. Our deep dive into November landscape including 21 00:01:20.390 --> 00:01:24.070 analyzes market shift and founder level signals will follow 22 00:01:24.070 --> 00:01:27.390 on Monday. Already December 1st, our 23 00:01:27.390 --> 00:01:31.158 regular news will be published again for December 24 00:01:31.302 --> 00:01:34.910 18th. We'll then wrap up the year with our annual 25 00:01:34.910 --> 00:01:38.590 FinTech review on December 23rd right before the Christmas break. 26 00:01:38.910 --> 00:01:42.150 To give you a heads up for the new year, our first 27 00:01:42.150 --> 00:01:45.550 2026 episode will be January 15th, 28 00:01:45.870 --> 00:01:48.750 featuring a special interview with Polar Steps. 29 00:01:49.390 --> 00:01:52.950 I'll be on medical leave for all of January, so 30 00:01:52.950 --> 00:01:56.630 Chris has to do some interviews and will fill the gap. There will 31 00:01:56.630 --> 00:02:00.340 be no regular startup news for January 2026, 32 00:02:00.340 --> 00:02:04.140 but don't worry, we'll be back in full rhythm with a combined 33 00:02:04.140 --> 00:02:07.830 January and February News episode on February 26, 34 00:02:08.090 --> 00:02:11.660 2026. Today's episode Chris is again 35 00:02:11.660 --> 00:02:15.420 in New York, just returned from the Emmys. You've been to the Emmy 36 00:02:15.420 --> 00:02:19.220 ceremony, right? Well, to be honest, it was 37 00:02:19.220 --> 00:02:23.020 the International Emmys and that's kind of like the dirty stepchild of 38 00:02:23.020 --> 00:02:26.700 it all. So it's in a hotel ballroom in the 39 00:02:26.700 --> 00:02:30.520 middle of midtown New York, but nevertheless it like glamorous. 40 00:02:30.520 --> 00:02:34.040 And what's really cool is that they actually allow press people to 41 00:02:34.360 --> 00:02:37.760 be in the main room and then you have all the different dinner tables from 42 00:02:37.760 --> 00:02:41.600 the different countries rooting for their entries and Germany 43 00:02:41.600 --> 00:02:45.320 even won. So that was cool. And it was a very cool 44 00:02:45.480 --> 00:02:49.200 German show about the last days of eastern 45 00:02:49.200 --> 00:02:52.960 Germany and explaining what life was like in eastern Germany for a younger 46 00:02:52.960 --> 00:02:56.600 audience. And the producer said, I just wanted to 47 00:02:56.600 --> 00:03:00.340 create something about the time when Germany 48 00:03:00.340 --> 00:03:03.540 was the happiest country on earth. That was sweet. 49 00:03:04.420 --> 00:03:08.180 Totally. I'm actually joining from Germany from Frankfurt. And 50 00:03:08.180 --> 00:03:11.940 Chris, I was wondering, because this is Thanksgiving Day, do you once 51 00:03:11.940 --> 00:03:15.660 again eat that tofu thing. Don't get 52 00:03:15.660 --> 00:03:18.860 me wrong, I like tofu, especially the spicy one. But not for 53 00:03:18.860 --> 00:03:22.620 Thanksgiving. Every time you're calling me 54 00:03:22.620 --> 00:03:25.700 out on this, I think I won't get it. So I will be at a 55 00:03:25.700 --> 00:03:29.420 friend's place. They already said that they will have plenty of 56 00:03:29.420 --> 00:03:33.240 vegetarian options. And I mean the good thing is if you're vegetarian you can 57 00:03:33.240 --> 00:03:36.080 always just stick with stuffing. So that's good. 58 00:03:37.840 --> 00:03:41.520 I'm also not a huge fan of the tofurkey. I think. I mean but also, 59 00:03:41.520 --> 00:03:45.280 I mean turkey is also some dry meat. It's not 60 00:03:45.280 --> 00:03:49.000 great if people are honest. So even the 61 00:03:49.000 --> 00:03:52.560 real thing is not great. One one day I'll invite you over. 62 00:03:52.560 --> 00:03:56.200 You'll be here for my Thanksgiving turkey and then you'll 63 00:03:56.200 --> 00:03:58.880 reverse this statement. Not if you behave like this. 64 00:04:02.360 --> 00:04:06.200 Okay, let's talk startups. By the way, all of our 2025 news 65 00:04:06.200 --> 00:04:09.520 coverage you can find on our Pillar page. Notes you 85 00:05:17.880 --> 00:05:21.600 want to take over from here the highlights. So to 86 00:05:21.600 --> 00:05:24.920 give you the bit the lay of the land for today's episode we are going 87 00:05:24.920 --> 00:05:28.560 to look at at the highlights of 88 00:05:28.800 --> 00:05:32.080 our edition today of the November 2025 edition 89 00:05:32.640 --> 00:05:36.160 and we see in Europe's startup 90 00:05:36.160 --> 00:05:39.600 landscape that we see signals 91 00:05:39.840 --> 00:05:43.520 in AI infrastructure, something we have 92 00:05:43.520 --> 00:05:47.320 been doing for quite a while now. It's like the most big. It's the 93 00:05:47.320 --> 00:05:50.920 biggest topic usually in these days in all of our 94 00:05:50.920 --> 00:05:54.630 episodes Defense tech, Robotics, biotech, 95 00:05:54.790 --> 00:05:58.390 Cloud sovereignty, fintech recalibration and 96 00:05:58.390 --> 00:06:02.230 energy transition. So overall we see 97 00:06:02.230 --> 00:06:05.670 that Europe and especially the D region is still 98 00:06:06.230 --> 00:06:09.670 trying to kind of reinvent itself around those new booming 99 00:06:10.790 --> 00:06:14.070 industries around deep tech dual use systems and 100 00:06:14.470 --> 00:06:18.150 sovereign digital capabilities. We are seeing that 101 00:06:18.150 --> 00:06:21.870 founders no longer rely solely on apps on top of 102 00:06:21.870 --> 00:06:25.590 platforms, but more building the platforms themselves. We're seeing that 103 00:06:25.590 --> 00:06:28.910 infrastructure becomes more and more important and industrial layers 104 00:06:28.910 --> 00:06:32.590 themselves. So a major current this month 105 00:06:32.590 --> 00:06:36.430 was the consolidation of AI as a capability 106 00:06:36.590 --> 00:06:40.190 in different industries, not just as something for 107 00:06:40.990 --> 00:06:44.430 consumers, for direct consumers. In the end we see 108 00:06:44.510 --> 00:06:48.350 that the dominant narrative now wasn't chatbots, marketing tools, it was 109 00:06:48.350 --> 00:06:51.380 AI for critical infrastructure including nursing, 110 00:06:51.850 --> 00:06:55.370 nursing workflows, robotics, dexterity, drone 111 00:06:55.450 --> 00:06:59.130 autonomy, supply chain intelligence, satellite navigation 112 00:06:59.130 --> 00:07:02.810 and enterprise orchestration. This all signals a shift towards 113 00:07:02.970 --> 00:07:06.730 a native European industrial strategy, also a 114 00:07:06.730 --> 00:07:09.450 very important topic given the political landscape, 115 00:07:09.770 --> 00:07:13.530 geopolitical issues like trying to be more 116 00:07:13.530 --> 00:07:17.210 independent from the us, Russia and China. And so we are seeing that 117 00:07:17.210 --> 00:07:20.810 AI becomes a shorthand for automation, verification, compliance, 118 00:07:20.810 --> 00:07:24.470 efficiency, safety, topics like this. Another 119 00:07:24.470 --> 00:07:27.990 micro trend is the migration of capital into sovereign, 120 00:07:27.990 --> 00:07:31.670 defensible and strategically aligned technologies. So we see 121 00:07:31.670 --> 00:07:34.790 defense tech, space tech, secure communications and quantum 122 00:07:35.270 --> 00:07:38.910 combined with large scale funds for health tech, climate tech and 123 00:07:38.910 --> 00:07:42.590 deep tech all pointing to a landscape in which investors are 124 00:07:42.590 --> 00:07:45.430 rewarding high ip, high barrier, high durability 125 00:07:45.750 --> 00:07:49.520 categories. Fintech though by 126 00:07:49.520 --> 00:07:52.480 contrast is entering a period of structural normalization. 127 00:07:53.440 --> 00:07:57.160 Complaints are still spiking. We already talked some from time 128 00:07:57.160 --> 00:08:00.920 to time about this as well. Layoffs are continuing, crypto offerings 129 00:08:00.920 --> 00:08:04.640 are expanding, even though a bit more cautiously than they used to. 130 00:08:04.800 --> 00:08:08.640 And we see that. We see political debates around the digital 131 00:08:08.720 --> 00:08:11.360 euro, cash abolition and regulatory AI. 132 00:08:12.960 --> 00:08:16.570 European fintech there as always. Or as we see also 133 00:08:16.570 --> 00:08:19.450 with multiple topics, Europe is 134 00:08:19.770 --> 00:08:22.970 emphasizing more a compliance first approach. 135 00:08:24.490 --> 00:08:27.970 So keywords here are for example neo 136 00:08:27.970 --> 00:08:31.610 broker reliability, fraud prevention and digital identity. 137 00:08:33.850 --> 00:08:37.370 That's my little first overview. I hand it over to you. 138 00:08:38.170 --> 00:08:41.930 Awesome. And also in the deep dive just wrote the script and I remember 139 00:08:41.930 --> 00:08:45.210 that we have new funds investing including in Europe 140 00:08:45.830 --> 00:08:49.590 worth more than 1.8 billion euros. So 141 00:08:49.590 --> 00:08:53.190 there's a lot to come. Just sticking with the highlights. The energy 142 00:08:53.190 --> 00:08:56.870 and climate tech ecosystem continued into infrastructure 143 00:08:56.870 --> 00:09:00.670 reality not innovation theater. Funding for battery 144 00:09:00.670 --> 00:09:04.150 tech, smart metering, energy storage, grid digitization 145 00:09:04.870 --> 00:09:08.310 and retrofittable industrial decarbonization 146 00:09:08.550 --> 00:09:11.910 underscores a broad shift. Climatech is entering a 147 00:09:12.370 --> 00:09:15.810 the procurement area where industrial demand, 148 00:09:16.130 --> 00:09:19.930 ROIs, integration and transparency and scaling 149 00:09:19.930 --> 00:09:23.490 pathways. Keywords dominating the current 150 00:09:24.370 --> 00:09:28.130 trends battery analytics, smart grid management, climate 151 00:09:28.130 --> 00:09:31.530 resilience, industrial retrofits, renewable integration, 152 00:09:31.530 --> 00:09:35.130 corporate decarbonization and energy security. The 153 00:09:35.130 --> 00:09:38.850 broader wheat sustainability has moved from virtue 154 00:09:39.060 --> 00:09:42.260 to competitive advantage. Finally, 155 00:09:42.260 --> 00:09:46.020 November Europe's identity crisis and its emerging 156 00:09:46.100 --> 00:09:49.620 answer with funding at a five year 157 00:09:49.780 --> 00:09:53.220 low but deep tech breakthroughs at multi year 158 00:09:53.220 --> 00:09:56.780 highs, the ecosystem is bifurcating. On the one 159 00:09:56.780 --> 00:10:00.540 side, startups relying on burn brand and narrative. On 160 00:10:00.540 --> 00:10:04.260 the other side, companies building sovereign clouds, 161 00:10:04.420 --> 00:10:08.000 robotic hardware, biotech platforms, defense system 162 00:10:08.160 --> 00:10:11.920 and mission critical AI. Europe 163 00:10:12.080 --> 00:10:15.800 is placing trips in later and the D region is becoming the 164 00:10:15.800 --> 00:10:19.520 testing ground for the continent's innovation and sovereign 165 00:10:19.520 --> 00:10:23.200 strategy this month. Keywords Map implies Europe's next 166 00:10:23.200 --> 00:10:26.880 decade won't be shaped by consumer ads, but 167 00:10:26.880 --> 00:10:30.200 by compute autonomy, infrastructure and 168 00:10:30.200 --> 00:10:34.020 resilience. So you are on the right channel 169 00:10:34.020 --> 00:10:37.780 for that with Startup Radio. We always love 170 00:10:37.780 --> 00:10:41.380 to get feedback from you guys. There is a link to to 171 00:10:41.380 --> 00:10:44.700 Google form also. This 172 00:10:44.780 --> 00:10:47.928 episode goes live on Thursday November 27, 173 00:10:48.112 --> 00:10:51.500 2025. Tune into our Internet radio 174 00:10:51.500 --> 00:10:55.300 station and after a short ad break, Chris will be back with the top 175 00:10:55.300 --> 00:10:55.660 news. 176 00:11:01.270 --> 00:11:04.950 Welcome back and thanks for helping us paying our energy bills. So 177 00:11:04.950 --> 00:11:08.710 now let's have a look at the top news. We are starting off 178 00:11:08.710 --> 00:11:12.310 with Quantum Systems. It's a Munich based defense tech 179 00:11:12.310 --> 00:11:15.710 startup. They are specializing in AI powered aerial 180 00:11:15.710 --> 00:11:19.510 intelligence and drone systems and they are preparing now for a new funding round 181 00:11:19.510 --> 00:11:23.350 of approximately 150 to 200 million euros targeting 182 00:11:23.350 --> 00:11:27.138 evaluation near 3 billion billion as of October 183 00:11:27.282 --> 00:11:30.970 2025. As always with this, I mean at some point we probably 184 00:11:30.970 --> 00:11:34.650 need to make a special episode about the meaning of valuations these days 185 00:11:34.970 --> 00:11:38.810 because especially in the AI sector we see a lot of it is 186 00:11:38.970 --> 00:11:42.730 really not overblown but there's, let's say there's a lot 187 00:11:42.730 --> 00:11:46.210 of fantasy in the market as the Germans would say. Do you remember in 188 00:11:46.210 --> 00:11:50.010 2021 where we did have an external 189 00:11:50.090 --> 00:11:52.890 additional unicorn tracker because there have been so many, 190 00:11:54.440 --> 00:11:58.120 so many unicorns created. That kind of feels a little bit 191 00:11:58.120 --> 00:12:01.760 like that. But you have to keep in mind at this time in Corona it 192 00:12:01.760 --> 00:12:05.400 was just a shift everybody thought Corona would keep, would 193 00:12:05.400 --> 00:12:08.880 keep coming and everybody would move into digital. Here 194 00:12:08.880 --> 00:12:12.480 there's an actual threat and there are governments behind with 195 00:12:12.480 --> 00:12:16.160 multi year spending plans. So I really do hope it's a little bit different 196 00:12:16.160 --> 00:12:19.400 than that. Even though it feels the same, I have to admit that. 197 00:12:19.910 --> 00:12:23.590 Yeah. So and we see with Quantum 198 00:12:23.590 --> 00:12:27.230 Systems that they are one of those like that they are in a pretty specific 199 00:12:27.230 --> 00:12:30.390 and rare position because they are one of the few European players 200 00:12:31.430 --> 00:12:34.950 in drone solutions for government and for industrial 201 00:12:34.950 --> 00:12:38.630 clients. So we see here that lead investors are 202 00:12:38.630 --> 00:12:42.270 Balderton Capital that is 203 00:12:42.270 --> 00:12:45.510 joining strategic backers like the Airbus Defense and Space 204 00:12:45.830 --> 00:12:49.590 and Henzald. So we see also that there's now a deeper, 205 00:12:49.990 --> 00:12:53.810 there's now a deep tech crossover and in 206 00:12:53.810 --> 00:12:57.250 capital returning to Europe's sovereignty tech 207 00:12:57.250 --> 00:13:00.890 stack. So and we see overall obviously that the 208 00:13:00.890 --> 00:13:03.090 global drone security market is expanding 209 00:13:05.490 --> 00:13:08.850 because there are the realistic threats of 210 00:13:08.850 --> 00:13:12.610 infrastructure and hybrid warfare. So 211 00:13:13.250 --> 00:13:17.090 this is a Quantum system story grab and 212 00:13:17.090 --> 00:13:19.890 the German remote driving startup they have announced 213 00:13:20.450 --> 00:13:23.990 $410 million strategic partners to 214 00:13:23.990 --> 00:13:27.470 accelerate the rollout of their teleoperated mobility 215 00:13:27.470 --> 00:13:28.030 solutions 216 00:13:31.390 --> 00:13:35.030 across South East Asia's major 217 00:13:35.030 --> 00:13:38.830 cities and that will mark one of the largest mobility tech alliances of 218 00:13:38.830 --> 00:13:41.950 the year. Grab this is the 219 00:13:42.030 --> 00:13:45.710 dominant app of the region and Ride Hailing network 220 00:13:45.790 --> 00:13:49.580 plans to integrate Vase Human in the loop remote 221 00:13:49.580 --> 00:13:53.220 driving platform to improve fleet availability, safety and 222 00:13:53.220 --> 00:13:57.060 operational efficiency in markets where full autonomous vehicles remain 223 00:13:57.060 --> 00:14:00.860 impractical. Vase Tele driving system relies 224 00:14:00.860 --> 00:14:04.420 on trained drivers operating the vehicles from centralized control hubs 225 00:14:05.380 --> 00:14:08.660 and they are pretending, hoping, 226 00:14:09.140 --> 00:14:12.500 claiming to offer a scalable alternative to cost intensive 227 00:14:12.980 --> 00:14:16.820 self driving stacks while maintaining high compliance and urban 228 00:14:16.820 --> 00:14:20.620 safety standards. And this collaboration now positions V as 229 00:14:20.700 --> 00:14:23.420 Europe's most globally validated tele driving company, 230 00:14:24.540 --> 00:14:28.060 showing also a competitive rise of Germany's Germany Deep 231 00:14:28.060 --> 00:14:31.420 Tech. In a category long dominated by US 232 00:14:31.660 --> 00:14:35.180 and Asian players, Trade 233 00:14:35.180 --> 00:14:38.700 Republic is moving toward a landmark 12 billion 234 00:14:38.780 --> 00:14:42.620 euro valuation according to a new report from Manager 235 00:14:42.620 --> 00:14:46.370 magazine in German Business and Economics magazine, marking one of the strongest 236 00:14:46.600 --> 00:14:50.200 valuation trajectories in European fintech despite the sector's 237 00:14:50.200 --> 00:14:53.920 broader correction. Trade Republic is a Berlin based neo 238 00:14:53.920 --> 00:14:57.720 broker that has expanded far beyond zero 239 00:14:57.960 --> 00:15:01.400 fee stock and ETF trading and is now offering 240 00:15:01.960 --> 00:15:05.600 a wealth building platform that includes interest bearing cash accounts, 241 00:15:05.600 --> 00:15:09.320 crypto investing, fractional shares, long term saving plans, automated wealth 242 00:15:09.320 --> 00:15:12.200 tools. So it's more like a full full on suite. By now 243 00:15:13.000 --> 00:15:16.360 rising retail investor activity in Germany and a more 244 00:15:16.360 --> 00:15:20.100 disciplined balance sheet struct have strengthened the company's 245 00:15:20.100 --> 00:15:23.380 fundamentals even though in Germany we always have 246 00:15:23.380 --> 00:15:26.740 Bafin most important finance watchdog of the government 247 00:15:27.140 --> 00:15:30.660 and they are putting increasing pressure on operational 248 00:15:30.660 --> 00:15:34.499 quality and compliance automation across the sector. 249 00:15:35.060 --> 00:15:38.900 So we see here though that Trade Republic now really becomes this 250 00:15:39.940 --> 00:15:43.220 beacon and becoming a bellwether and benchmark 251 00:15:43.460 --> 00:15:45.080 for the whole industry. 252 00:15:47.400 --> 00:15:50.680 Flexion, moving to Switzerland is a Zurich based 253 00:15:50.680 --> 00:15:54.040 robotic software startup claiming to build the 254 00:15:54.040 --> 00:15:57.600 brain for humanoid robots. They have 255 00:15:57.600 --> 00:16:01.280 closed a 43 million euro 50 256 00:16:01.280 --> 00:16:05.000 million US dollar Series A round in November led by 257 00:16:05.000 --> 00:16:08.800 DST Global Partners and Nventures, which is the venture 258 00:16:08.800 --> 00:16:12.590 arm of Nvidia. Other participants are 259 00:16:12.590 --> 00:16:16.350 Red Alpin Process Ventures and Moonfire. And the 260 00:16:16.350 --> 00:16:20.070 special thing about Flexion is that they are not hardware heavy 261 00:16:20.310 --> 00:16:23.790 but they are more focusing on the reinforcement learning the 262 00:16:23.790 --> 00:16:26.870 simulation to reality software stack and 263 00:16:27.590 --> 00:16:31.230 yeah so yeah as they say the brains of it all so that the Robot 264 00:16:31.230 --> 00:16:34.910 bodies can perceive, plan and act in human centric 265 00:16:34.910 --> 00:16:38.470 environments. With labor shortages, aging 266 00:16:38.470 --> 00:16:42.190 demographics and manufacturing automation demands intensifying 267 00:16:42.190 --> 00:16:45.410 across Europe, timing is strategic. The company aims to scale 268 00:16:45.570 --> 00:16:49.330 compute platforms its bank, expand its Zurich R and D 269 00:16:49.330 --> 00:16:52.370 base and open a US presence by next year. 270 00:16:53.410 --> 00:16:57.210 So there we also see that robotics infrastructure and software First 271 00:16:57.210 --> 00:17:00.770 Autonomy are now becoming more important in the 272 00:17:00.770 --> 00:17:04.530 Dach region. Soin Nova Partners, a European life 273 00:17:04.530 --> 00:17:07.890 science venture capital firm based in Paris, London and Milan 274 00:17:08.450 --> 00:17:12.110 has closed 650 million euro 275 00:17:12.190 --> 00:17:14.030 flagship fund Capital 276 00:17:15.470 --> 00:17:18.910 XI I guess Capital 11 in November 277 00:17:19.790 --> 00:17:22.270 because November is the 11th month obviously 278 00:17:22.830 --> 00:17:26.430 significantly exceeding its initial target and bringing its 279 00:17:26.430 --> 00:17:29.310 platform deployment above 280 00:17:29.710 --> 00:17:32.590 1.5 billion euros over the past year. 281 00:17:33.630 --> 00:17:37.470 With the back backed investments already underway, the fund will 282 00:17:37.470 --> 00:17:40.750 target pioneering biopharmaceutical and medical 283 00:17:41.930 --> 00:17:44.970 companies in Europe and North America. 284 00:17:47.050 --> 00:17:50.490 They put an emphasis here on Immuno, Immuno, 285 00:17:50.490 --> 00:17:53.610 oncology, digital health and diagnostic platform. 286 00:17:55.290 --> 00:17:58.930 Here also we see that there's an LP confidence in Europe's life 287 00:17:58.930 --> 00:18:02.690 science innovation stack. And yeah, we see 288 00:18:02.690 --> 00:18:06.410 that biotech founders are maturing beyond seed 289 00:18:06.410 --> 00:18:09.340 and pre clinical phases all over Europe. 290 00:18:10.300 --> 00:18:14.140 That leaves us leaves me 291 00:18:14.300 --> 00:18:18.060 with the top news handing it over to you. Let's take the 292 00:18:18.060 --> 00:18:20.380 top news from Chris. Let's talk about 293 00:18:20.620 --> 00:18:24.340 Schwarzkoop, something I'm sure a lot of people 294 00:18:24.340 --> 00:18:28.100 outside of Germany have never heard, but they are the company behind for 295 00:18:28.100 --> 00:18:31.060 example the retailer Lidl and 296 00:18:31.060 --> 00:18:34.650 Kaufland. They are one of 297 00:18:34.650 --> 00:18:38.130 Europe's largest retail conglomerates and operate the several 298 00:18:38.370 --> 00:18:41.570 the sovereign cloud platform Stack it 299 00:18:41.970 --> 00:18:45.730 announcing a monumental 11 billion euro 300 00:18:45.730 --> 00:18:49.250 investments into new European data center and I 301 00:18:49.650 --> 00:18:53.370 and AI compute infrastructure slow 302 00:18:53.370 --> 00:18:57.130 Yarn instantly positioning Germany as a serious contender 303 00:18:57.130 --> 00:19:00.960 in a hyperscale and sovereign cloud raise. Stack 304 00:19:00.960 --> 00:19:04.640 it, which already is a serious content in the 305 00:19:04.640 --> 00:19:08.440 hyperscale. Again, Stack it, which 306 00:19:08.440 --> 00:19:12.280 already makes itself a GDPR aligned alternative 307 00:19:12.280 --> 00:19:16.040 to aws, Azure and Google Cloud 308 00:19:16.120 --> 00:19:19.400 will use the new capital to expand secure data 309 00:19:19.400 --> 00:19:22.680 campuses, energy efficient campus clusters and 310 00:19:22.760 --> 00:19:26.200 AI optimized server forms designed especially for 311 00:19:26.200 --> 00:19:29.800 enterprise workload across industry, retail and 312 00:19:29.800 --> 00:19:33.560 manufacturing. With AI adoption rising across 313 00:19:33.560 --> 00:19:36.960 the dark region and energy pressure threatening cloud 314 00:19:36.960 --> 00:19:40.800 reliability, Schwartz move strengthens 315 00:19:41.120 --> 00:19:44.480 European control over sensitive data and 316 00:19:45.200 --> 00:19:48.800 reduces its reliance on US hyperscalers 317 00:19:48.880 --> 00:19:52.480 that lines with Brussels sovereignty Push 318 00:19:52.560 --> 00:19:56.240 for founder building AI agents, LL platforms and compute 319 00:19:56.320 --> 00:19:59.720 intensive says in Germany, this makes a 320 00:19:59.720 --> 00:20:03.080 generational shift. Compute scarcity is becoming a 321 00:20:03.080 --> 00:20:06.560 strategic market and Dach finally has a dominant 322 00:20:06.560 --> 00:20:09.960 heavyweight Europe prepares a 323 00:20:09.960 --> 00:20:13.760 multi billion fund to scale tech champions 324 00:20:14.880 --> 00:20:18.000 European Commission is, according to press reports, 325 00:20:18.240 --> 00:20:21.760 preparing a multi billion euro scale up Europe fund 326 00:20:22.080 --> 00:20:25.800 designed to solve the region's chronic late stage capital gap and 327 00:20:25.800 --> 00:20:28.720 accelerate the growth of deep tech AI, climate 328 00:20:29.340 --> 00:20:33.140 base and industrial technology champions. Backed 329 00:20:33.140 --> 00:20:36.980 by the European investment bank and private market LPs, the 330 00:20:36.980 --> 00:20:40.540 program aims to keep European startups from being forced into 331 00:20:40.540 --> 00:20:43.580 US Capital markets or early acquisition 332 00:20:43.660 --> 00:20:47.220 pathways, positioning the fund as a strategic 333 00:20:47.220 --> 00:20:50.300 counterweight to US Mega funds and 334 00:20:50.300 --> 00:20:53.500 China's industrial policy financing. 335 00:20:53.900 --> 00:20:57.540 The initiative directly targets the CRC and beyond 336 00:20:57.540 --> 00:21:01.240 bottleneck which has historically pushed 337 00:21:01.240 --> 00:21:04.400 European founders to relocate or re 338 00:21:04.400 --> 00:21:08.160 domicile and offer long term capital for companies building 339 00:21:08.240 --> 00:21:11.640 sovereign cloud systems, defense tech, robotic platforms, 340 00:21:11.640 --> 00:21:14.880 biotech, therapeutics, Slow Joe, 341 00:21:15.280 --> 00:21:19.040 industrial AI and green transition infrastructure.
