- 0:02Speaker 1: If you are riding in your car right now, maybe
- 0:05Speaker 1: you're listening at work or at your house. We're gonna
- 0:07Speaker 1: have a little fun here where Angie and I are
- 0:10Speaker 1: both gonna play. We're both gonna guess, but you can
- 0:12Speaker 1: play along while you are hanging out with us here
- 0:15Speaker 1: this morning. Very classic game. You've probably played it. Two
- 0:18Speaker 1: truths and a lie. You know, this is one of
- 0:20Speaker 1: those games when you start a new job, or you
- 0:22Speaker 1: get a new couple of new employees or something. It's
- 0:25Speaker 1: like icebreaker, a little team bonding. Yeahah, Angie, are you
- 0:28Speaker 1: ready for two tooths and a lie? Would you like
- 0:30Speaker 1: to go first and all guests? Or do you want
- 0:32Speaker 1: me to go first?
- 0:33Speaker 2: Oh?
- 0:33Speaker 3: You know what, I can go first?
- 0:34Speaker 4: All right, let a rip.
- 0:35Speaker 3: I can go first.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Okay, two truths and a lie. A Mexican soccer team
- 0:41Speaker 2: drove me in their bus to my ex's house to
- 0:44Speaker 2: confront him for cheating.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Okay, that's oddly specific.
- 0:50Speaker 2: A pimp asked me on television to be one of
- 0:53Speaker 2: his girls. Okay, wow, I once shared a kiss with
- 1:00Speaker 2: George Wallace.
- 1:02Speaker 3: At a night club.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Can I ask one question? Or do I just have
- 1:06Speaker 4: to guess?
- 1:07Speaker 1: Uh?
- 1:07Speaker 3: Go ahead, ask a question?
- 1:09Speaker 4: Who's George Wallace.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Oh he's a comedian, Okay, an older comedian.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Oh man, you know we know our Angie, well, we
- 1:20Speaker 1: know she's you know, our spicy little peanut here on
- 1:24Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:28Speaker 4: A soccer team, an entire soccer team.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I can mean, you know, maybe like three or four
- 1:33Speaker 1: midfielders or something defenceman, But guys who are scoring and
- 1:38Speaker 1: good looking. They're not confronting cheaters, right, I will guess
- 1:42Speaker 1: I don't know the soccer team.
- 1:44Speaker 3: That's the lie.
- 1:45Speaker 4: That's the lie.
- 1:46Speaker 2: That is incorrect. My friend, Oh, yes it was. I
- 1:51Speaker 2: was outside of a night club living in Vegas. Was wild, okay,
- 1:54Speaker 2: the top side of the night club, and it was
- 1:57Speaker 2: an entire Mexican soccer team had on out for a celebration.
- 2:02Speaker 2: And then they saw me as they were leaving. They
- 2:04Speaker 2: saw me like.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Very upset and crying because I had just found out
- 2:09Speaker 3: who he was cheating on me with.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Wow, And they came up to talk to me, and
- 2:14Speaker 2: because we all spoke Spanish, then it was like oh
- 2:17Speaker 2: and then we all got like riled up.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Yes, so we.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Hopped on their boss and I gave them the directions
- 2:24Speaker 2: and I went and I confronted my ex.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Wow, yeah, man, mid twenties, Angie, must have been something.
- 2:31Speaker 2: No, what a life I was leading. And then yeah,
- 2:33Speaker 2: pimp did ask me.
- 2:35Speaker 1: That's great, but that's so specifically you. I knew it
- 2:39Speaker 1: was true.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I used to do a weird like cable access show
- 2:44Speaker 2: that it was like man on the Street stuff, and
- 2:46Speaker 2: I was in Vegas, so we interviewed a pimp and
- 2:49Speaker 2: he asked me to be one of his girls. I
- 2:52Speaker 2: did see George Wallace at a club. However, I did
- 2:56Speaker 2: not kiss him, so that was the lie. The lie
- 2:59Speaker 2: is that George Wallis and I never shared a kiss,
- 3:01Speaker 2: but we did have a nice time at the club.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Well that's wonderful, all right, Angie.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Right, yes, yeah, I'm ready.
- 3:08Speaker 4: God, I guess just a different place. Yeah, all right, Angie.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I once sat in a scissor lift for over two
- 3:17Speaker 1: days to raise money for a fire department.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I rode the Wild Thing at Valley Fair, which is
- 3:26Speaker 1: like the tallest roller coaster at Valley Fair, it's an
- 3:28Speaker 1: amusement park in Apple Valley, Minnesota, for.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Three days trying to win a car.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And I've been in the local newspaper twice for stories
- 3:39Speaker 1: involving barbecue ribs.
- 3:43Speaker 3: I feel like the lie is.
- 3:47Speaker 2: The scissor lift one, the first one, the first one.
- 3:50Speaker 2: I think that's the lie because I know that you
- 3:54Speaker 2: were judge at Happy Harry's rib Fest. Ye, and I
- 3:58Speaker 2: know that you are persistent, and I feel like you
- 4:02Speaker 2: would ride a rollercoaster whatever a.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Bajillion times to try and win a car.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I think you failed, but I think you tried to
- 4:09Speaker 2: do it, So I think the lie is the scissor lift.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Well, interesting enough, Angie's story one and three are kind
- 4:18Speaker 1: of related. I did not try to ride the wild
- 4:22Speaker 1: Thing for three days trying to win a car. If
- 4:24Speaker 1: I had the opportunity, I would. I did try to
- 4:27Speaker 1: enter in the contest for it, but I was not
- 4:30Speaker 1: selected as one of them.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Okay, And it was funny.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I was on the way to work, This was quite
- 4:35Speaker 1: literally yesterday morning, and I was thinking back on some radio.
- 4:39Speaker 1: When you're on your way to work, your mind just
- 4:41Speaker 1: kind of wanders. Yeah, I was thinking back on my
- 4:43Speaker 1: radio life. Maybe it was just, you know, the weather's
- 4:45Speaker 1: been so nice. I'm like, man, things are going really good. Yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 1: I'm having a great time thinking back on my radio life.
- 4:51Speaker 1: And funny enough, I sat in a scissor lift, and
- 4:54Speaker 1: if you don't know what that is, it's just this
- 4:56Speaker 1: thing that goes up and down. It helps with construction
- 4:58Speaker 1: or painters, or and I sat in one of those
- 5:01Speaker 1: for fifty two hours to raise money for the Winona
- 5:05Speaker 1: Fire Department as they needed this new piece of equipment
- 5:09Speaker 1: in their masks that kind of help them see better.
- 5:13Speaker 1: It's like infrared kind of thing.
- 5:15Speaker 2: You actually, that's what's weird to me. You actually sat
- 5:18Speaker 2: there for fifty two hours.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Fifty two hours. I'm really out of this thing.
- 5:21Speaker 1: And strangely enough, how did people raise money at this
- 5:26Speaker 1: high v They had to go in and buy barbecue ribs.
- 5:32Speaker 1: In my fourteen years of being a radio guy, to
- 5:35Speaker 1: my knowledge, I have only been in the local paper twice,
- 5:40Speaker 1: both of them involving barbecue rips.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Heving barbecue ribs. All right, let's go try to win
- 5:44Speaker 3: you a car now.
- 5:49Speaker 5: Celebrating life's little victories every morning we practice gratitude on
- 5:54Speaker 5: Big ninety eight points seven.
- 5:56Speaker 4: If I could, I would.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Keep this feeling in a basket job busted out up
- 6:00Speaker 2: with someone's acting hard.
- 6:01Speaker 5: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one two,
- 6:05Speaker 5: eight oh one nine eight seven kids.
- 6:07Speaker 4: I also needed to win that day, Angie, do you
- 6:09Speaker 4: have a little victory for us this morning?
- 6:11Speaker 2: My little sister is getting married, so I consider her
- 6:17Speaker 2: my little sister.
- 6:18Speaker 3: She's my ex's sister. She was my sister in law forever.
- 6:21Speaker 3: I've known her since she's.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Twelve, and she got engaged in April. But I got
- 6:27Speaker 2: the news that they are opting to do an elopement,
- 6:31Speaker 2: so not a huge wedding, but they're going to do
- 6:33Speaker 2: a little, you know, private ceremony situation at the courthouse
- 6:36Speaker 2: and then having a bit of a reception for all
- 6:41Speaker 2: the family. So I was invited, and you know, when
- 6:45Speaker 2: you get divorced from someone, you wonder like how split
- 6:49Speaker 2: from the family am I going to be? But I
- 6:53Speaker 2: am invited, and so I am going and my ex
- 6:56Speaker 2: will also be there, and we're in this new modern
- 6:59Speaker 2: family era where we can all get along, and I'm
- 7:02Speaker 2: just really excited to celebrate my little sister getting married.
- 7:06Speaker 1: That's very sweet. Congratulations to her. You don't have to,
- 7:09Speaker 1: but her name's Angel. Congratulations to Angel.
- 7:12Speaker 4: This morning here on Big.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Nine years and Randall are getting married.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Angie and I are a couple of suckers for a
- 7:18Speaker 1: good love story.
- 7:19Speaker 3: We really are.
- 7:20Speaker 4: That's right.
- 7:20Speaker 1: My little victory today this happens only a couple times
- 7:23Speaker 1: a year, But my little victory would have to be
- 7:27Speaker 1: on my drive into work today. I hit every green light,
- 7:30Speaker 1: all fifteen of them. Not one time did I have
- 7:33Speaker 1: to break on my way into work driving down twenty
- 7:38Speaker 1: twenty fifth Street, Because there are a not a gajillion,
- 7:41Speaker 1: but there are a lot of lights, you know. It's
- 7:43Speaker 1: just it is what it is. And I'll tell you what.
- 7:46Speaker 1: All of them were shining bright green for me this morning.
- 7:49Speaker 1: What a wonderful feeling.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I get so jealous about that because that's only happened
- 7:53Speaker 2: for me maybe twice. Yeah, and it's happened for you
- 7:57Speaker 2: more times than for me. And sol Ya, that's what
- 8:01Speaker 2: a great feeling. Not even the one who drives myself
- 8:04Speaker 2: into work, but Mikey does not like having to stop
- 8:07Speaker 2: at a lot.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Yeah, there is a bit of a trick.
- 8:09Speaker 3: What's the trick?
- 8:10Speaker 2: You know?
- 8:10Speaker 4: You can time those lights.
- 8:11Speaker 1: There is a bit of a trick here because I
- 8:13Speaker 1: have gotten so close to all greens and then I'll
- 8:16Speaker 1: get stopped by like one, and then it's all greens
- 8:18Speaker 1: the rest of the way. I think this is my
- 8:20Speaker 1: third or fourth time in a year and a half
- 8:22Speaker 1: hitting all greens on the way into work.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:24Speaker 1: The trick is is to drive the speed limit, to
- 8:29Speaker 1: go about the speed limit ry Mikey And there's a
- 8:36Speaker 1: survey that found nine out of ten dog owners play
- 8:41Speaker 1: music around their pets. Some do it while they're at
- 8:44Speaker 1: home with them, some do it while they're at home
- 8:46Speaker 1: by themselves, and about one in seven have actually created
- 8:51Speaker 1: a playlist for their dog.
- 8:54Speaker 2: I have never thought about, probably because I don't have pets,
- 8:57Speaker 2: But I guess that does make sense because I know
- 8:59Speaker 2: that there are people who leave certain TV shows on
- 9:02Speaker 2: for their dog. But a playlist, Okay, what would be on?
- 9:07Speaker 2: Do you have a playlist for Wanona?
- 9:11Speaker 1: I mean, I know what I would put on the
- 9:13Speaker 1: playlist if I were to make one for her. We
- 9:16Speaker 1: put on like these nature walks that I swear it's
- 9:19Speaker 1: like Mozart playing Oh how funny.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Okay, So what are some of the songs that are
- 9:24Speaker 2: on doggy playlist?
- 9:26Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 9:26Speaker 1: Some of the most popular dog playlist songs Yellow by
- 9:30Speaker 1: Coldplay and Taylor Swift is the most common artist overall.
- 9:34Speaker 1: She appears on one out of every six dog playlists.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Are you telling me Taylor not only has like the
- 9:41Speaker 1: biggest fandom of humans on Earth, she's also got the biggest.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Fandom of dogs on Earth. Oh that's funny.
- 9:47Speaker 1: The survey also found sixty three percent of owners sing
- 9:50Speaker 1: to their dogs, and more than a quarter have even
- 9:53Speaker 1: made up songs just for them. I sing to Wanona
- 9:55Speaker 1: once in a while, and I don't think she likes it.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Hates when I pull out the guitar, hates it. He's
- 10:03Speaker 1: like terrified of the thing. It's kind of funny. I
- 10:05Speaker 1: do have a dog playlist here, Angie. I got a
- 10:08Speaker 1: couple ideas I would do so if I were to
- 10:10Speaker 1: make a doggy playlist for Winona, I feel like you
- 10:13Speaker 1: have to go with the classic who like the Dog?
- 10:19Speaker 4: I swear this.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Song goes right to my dog's brain the second I
- 10:24Speaker 1: let her outside to play fetch.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Yeah, this is like her her at that song, like.
- 10:28Speaker 4: If she was.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Yeah, she's like a relief picture walking onto the field.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Who let the dogs out?
- 10:35Speaker 2: You know?
- 10:35Speaker 4: Classic.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I don't think there'd be anything wrong with that. This
- 10:37Speaker 1: would also, I think, make a Wanona playlist.
- 10:42Speaker 2: I like that.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Her favorite activity in the history of life, just running.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I wish I were more like Wanona, and then I
- 10:52Speaker 2: got this final one.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I think you really like this one, Angie. This is
- 10:55Speaker 1: this is great and a little bit of a more
- 10:57Speaker 1: of a me for her song. I don't know how
- 11:00Speaker 1: she'd feel about it, but it makes me laugh.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Shock shut.
- 11:11Speaker 4: All of that, just to use the word rough in
- 11:13Speaker 4: a song that is.
- 11:15Speaker 3: So Gabe Bride's cool.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Someone got in their car this morning hopped onto Big
- 11:22Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven to hang out.
- 11:23Speaker 4: With us and was like, what is Gabe bang to
- 11:26Speaker 4: right now?
- 11:26Speaker 5: All right?
- 11:26Speaker 4: Look, rough Rider's anthem for Winona.
- 11:29Speaker 1: If you have a dog and you were going to
- 11:30Speaker 1: make a playlist for your dog, what songs would you
- 11:34Speaker 1: have on their playlist? We do have this up on
- 11:37Speaker 1: Facebook and I just wanted to get to that. There's
- 11:39Speaker 1: a there's plenty of comments here, but I just wanted
- 11:40Speaker 1: to get to this one. Another great play on words
- 11:43Speaker 1: from Jewel bad to the Bone, Bad to the Bone.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And we do have Wanona on the phone, which if
- 11:57Speaker 1: you don't know who that is, Wanona is my dog
- 12:00Speaker 1: and we've had her on the phone before. I didn't
- 12:02Speaker 1: realize she had like this East Coast accent, but it's
- 12:05Speaker 1: pretty funny to hear.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Well, Ona how are you doing this morning? What did
- 12:08Speaker 4: dog Dad do wrong? Now?
- 12:09Speaker 2: Hey Dad, soal WARLEI? Yeah you wo's talking about a
- 12:14Speaker 2: doggy playlist and the songs that you would put on
- 12:17Speaker 2: a playlist for me, and you got it all wrong, Dad.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Oh no, here's what I want on my doggy playlist. Okay,
- 12:25Speaker 2: anything snoop Dog? How did that not cross your mind?
- 12:29Speaker 3: Dad?
- 12:30Speaker 2: Anything snoop Dog? I'm down? Also, Bluey dance Mode? Oh
- 12:36Speaker 2: how could you not know that you girl likes some
- 12:39Speaker 2: bluey dance mode? That's what I want on my playlist.
- 12:43Speaker 1: And I don't know if you remember this, but when
- 12:45Speaker 1: you were younger and we used to leave you at home,
- 12:47Speaker 1: we would leave on Bluey on the TV for you
- 12:50Speaker 1: because we know blue you can see all of the
- 12:52Speaker 1: colors in that show.
- 12:53Speaker 4: It's actually made for you. So you're right. That one
- 12:55Speaker 4: is my bad.
- 12:56Speaker 3: That is your bad.
- 12:57Speaker 2: And I don't know if it's because I've got a
- 12:59Speaker 2: little sit on the way that you're starting to forget
- 13:03Speaker 2: about the first baby girl in your life.
- 13:05Speaker 3: But Dad, I don't like it.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Well, I'll try to be better going for Oh I
- 13:11Speaker 1: think she actually just hung off, But I'll try to
- 13:13Speaker 1: be better going forward.
- 13:15Speaker 4: That's mine.
- 13:15Speaker 3: I know what that is?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Your bad because that is something I've been wondering about.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Is how Wenona's feeling now that you're expecting a daughter.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Well, I mean you have.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Some making up for it to do when you get
- 13:28Speaker 3: home today.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe we'll We'll get an extra greeny or so
- 13:31Speaker 1: in there. Now if you miss this, I did share
- 13:35Speaker 1: what songs I would put on Wenona's playlist.
- 13:37Speaker 4: I didn't think they were that bad. What were they?
- 13:40Speaker 1: I thought they were pretty good? Like, how could you
- 13:42Speaker 1: be upset with this? This is classic?
- 13:44Speaker 5: Whut I have a feeling?
- 13:49Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, this is exactly the song, the theme
- 13:53Speaker 1: song that is instantly in Wanona's brain the second I
- 13:57Speaker 1: get home, open up the back door to let her
- 13:59Speaker 1: go potty and then play fetch me.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Maybe she didn't like that it was so predictable.
- 14:03Speaker 1: It was too simply. She thought it was more creative
- 14:05Speaker 1: than that. Yeah, okay, what about this one? That is
- 14:11Speaker 1: by far her favorite pastime. There's no way she could
- 14:14Speaker 1: be upset with this song.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Okay, No, I mean, I don't know she's the one
- 14:18Speaker 2: who sounded mad.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I think these are great when.
- 14:20Speaker 1: We're playing fetch in the backyard, it's almost like she
- 14:23Speaker 1: runs to the beat of this song, run it, you know.
- 14:26Speaker 1: And then finally this one, Okay, this one was a
- 14:29Speaker 1: little bit more for me, I think. I mean, she
- 14:41Speaker 1: can understand the lyrics in there they use rough.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I think maybe she's just more of a bone thugs
- 14:46Speaker 2: and harmony.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Kind of dog.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Love Island USA is on right now, and the big
- 14:57Speaker 2: thing about that show is that as soon as they
- 15:01Speaker 2: meet a new person, like the way they introduce themselves
- 15:06Speaker 2: is kissing, Like as soon as it's like, here's so
- 15:09Speaker 2: and so, here's so and so, Okay, now make out.
- 15:12Speaker 2: And every time I see this, I feel so stressed
- 15:15Speaker 2: out for these people because a first kiss, I feel
- 15:18Speaker 2: like it's kind of scary, isn't it like your first
- 15:23Speaker 2: kiss with someone? And Love Islanders are just expected to
- 15:28Speaker 2: just go in and just be kissing.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Everybody right away.
- 15:31Speaker 2: And let me tell you, some of these people look like, oh, okay,
- 15:35Speaker 2: you're just experienced and amazing at this, and others is
- 15:40Speaker 2: not good. And I feel like I identify with the
- 15:43Speaker 2: it's not good crowd in that my first kiss ever
- 15:48Speaker 2: was not great.
- 15:49Speaker 3: It was not great at all.
- 15:51Speaker 2: So we wanted to know if you had to describe
- 15:54Speaker 2: your first kiss. Just describe it with a movie title.
- 15:59Speaker 2: That might be the easiest way to do it. We
- 16:01Speaker 2: also have this up on the Big ninety eight point
- 16:03Speaker 2: seven Facebook page.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Gabe, what was your first kiss? Like give it to
- 16:08Speaker 3: me in movie title?
- 16:12Speaker 4: I would go, can I do two?
- 16:14Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 16:14Speaker 4: All right?
- 16:15Speaker 1: For my first one, I'll go with like, what's that
- 16:18Speaker 1: movie with John Krasinski?
- 16:20Speaker 4: A quiet place?
- 16:24Speaker 5: What?
- 16:25Speaker 3: Why?
- 16:26Speaker 4: I remember I.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Was on my bike and there was this girl. I
- 16:33Speaker 1: can't remember if I was like eighth grade maybe that
- 16:36Speaker 1: sounds about right. And we were like eighth grade, like
- 16:39Speaker 1: dating each other, you know, and we were like, well,
- 16:42Speaker 1: we can't really get this kiss out of the way
- 16:45Speaker 1: of school. I can't really do it at like my
- 16:47Speaker 1: parents' house, your parents' house. So we like biked somewhere
- 16:52Speaker 1: just like in the street.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Oh.
- 16:54Speaker 1: But you were like, but there was, like, you know,
- 16:56Speaker 1: just there's no pressure on people around.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Okay, So quiet place because you were trying to find
- 17:01Speaker 2: a quiet place to get this kiss out of there.
- 17:03Speaker 4: That's right, had to get that first one out the way.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Okay, Wait, but you said you wanted to do too.
- 17:08Speaker 4: What's the second one?
- 17:10Speaker 1: Legend of the falls because your boy was a legend
- 17:13Speaker 1: expert first time kisser.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Let me tell you, I crushed it.
- 17:18Speaker 3: I need her to call in, and yeah.
- 17:20Speaker 1: If we had this lady callin, it would probably be
- 17:24Speaker 1: like super Bad.
- 17:29Speaker 4: I'm sure there's two different versions there.
- 17:31Speaker 3: So good for me. Okay, you did too, so I'll
- 17:34Speaker 3: do it too.
- 17:35Speaker 2: The first one, liar, liar, because I definitely lied to
- 17:39Speaker 2: Andy and said that it.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Would not be my first kiss if we kissed. But no,
- 17:45Speaker 3: that was gonna be my first.
- 17:46Speaker 4: Yes it was.
- 17:47Speaker 3: It was.
- 17:48Speaker 2: And then when we walked down the street to the
- 17:52Speaker 2: corner of Fon Circle and Jones Boulevard and he went
- 17:56Speaker 2: in for the kiss. He was taller than me, so
- 17:58Speaker 2: I kind of got on my tiptoes a little bit.
- 18:02Speaker 3: The next movie title Too Fast, Too furious. It was
- 18:07Speaker 3: not good. I don't know what we were.
- 18:09Speaker 2: We were just like like we just thought you had
- 18:12Speaker 2: to really go at it. I don't know, but it
- 18:15Speaker 2: was not I walked away thinking, oh, he's never gonna
- 18:18Speaker 2: talk to me ever again, and he shouldn't. It was
- 18:21Speaker 2: not good. Not necessarily that he was good, but what
- 18:24Speaker 2: did I even know about kissing?
- 18:25Speaker 4: Was my first? Yeah, you got practice and learn a
- 18:28Speaker 4: little technique.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Yeah, he said that it wasn't his first kiss. I
- 18:32Speaker 2: don't know if I should believe him right now.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Was also liar, like, yeah, all right, we do have
- 18:37Speaker 1: some comments up on Facebook, Angie, you'll like this. Yours
- 18:40Speaker 1: also had the word fast in it. Jessica said fast
- 18:44Speaker 1: times at Ridgemont High.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Oh okay, I think that.
- 18:48Speaker 1: I think for Jessica it might be a little similar
- 18:51Speaker 1: to your story.
- 18:52Speaker 4: There.
- 18:53Speaker 1: We did have Tracy who did use super bad, which
- 18:58Speaker 1: is pretty funny, and Jewel said dazed and confused, which
- 19:04Speaker 1: that could be kind of good. Maybe she got butterflies,
- 19:07Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Maybe it was really nice
- 19:08Speaker 1: and romantic.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Now I've actually walked away, like.
- 19:11Speaker 4: What, just have it?
- 19:16Speaker 5: This is am I the problem.
- 19:19Speaker 4: It's me hill On the problem.
- 19:23Speaker 2: It's me.
- 19:24Speaker 5: We'll hear one side of the story and with your
- 19:26Speaker 5: help decide if it's right or if maybe you're the problem.
- 19:32Speaker 3: That's right, I am the problem.
- 19:34Speaker 5: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 19:37Speaker 2: So we had someone right into us who would like
- 19:40Speaker 2: to stay anonymous, and I asked her, is there a
- 19:45Speaker 2: different name you'd like to use or can we just
- 19:47Speaker 2: use our standard Annie for anonymous? And she said Annie
- 19:50Speaker 2: for anonymous is fine.
- 19:52Speaker 4: So secretely.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Stop that sounds like secretion. It's so ugly.
- 19:56Speaker 2: No, So Annie wrote into us, Hey, Gab and Angie,
- 20:01Speaker 2: I have two guys in my life, son and coworker,
- 20:05Speaker 2: that are both in their mid twenties, and both have
- 20:08Speaker 2: expressed to me that they want my help finding a girlfriend.
- 20:12Speaker 2: I don't know many females in that age range, so
- 20:15Speaker 2: I'll casually bring it up to anyone I feel may
- 20:18Speaker 2: have a connection to someone that might know a female
- 20:21Speaker 2: that age.
- 20:23Speaker 4: What a way to put it.
- 20:24Speaker 2: My husband and daughter think it's weird and that I
- 20:28Speaker 2: should let them find someone on their own, but I
- 20:31Speaker 2: feel that since they both asked me to help, it's
- 20:34Speaker 2: perfectly okay.
- 20:35Speaker 3: What are your thoughts? On a side note, if there are.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Any females in their twenties looking for a great guy,
- 20:42Speaker 2: I've got a couple for you to pick from.
- 20:45Speaker 4: I like how we ended this, all right.
- 20:46Speaker 1: The Big ninety eight point seven morning show is now
- 20:48Speaker 1: just turning into Tinder, Yeah.
- 20:51Speaker 3: A dating service.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Okay.
- 20:53Speaker 3: So here's the thing.
- 20:54Speaker 2: I think that is perfectly fine because you are just
- 20:59Speaker 2: really committing to the assignment, and I respect that.
- 21:04Speaker 3: I love that.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I do think it's funny that Annie doesn't know any
- 21:10Speaker 2: females in that age range, so she's just going to anyone, Hey,
- 21:15Speaker 2: do you know someone in their twenties?
- 21:17Speaker 3: And so I kind of get why the.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Husband and daughter think like that's a little much, because
- 21:22Speaker 2: it's not just saying it to someone in their twenties,
- 21:24Speaker 2: it's saying it to anyone.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Say do you know someone in their twenties? Yeah, and
- 21:30Speaker 3: so it does.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I get why they think that's meddling a bit, but
- 21:34Speaker 2: I respect it and I like it, So I think
- 21:36Speaker 2: you keep doing what you're doing. Also, I will tell
- 21:39Speaker 2: you Annie, I don't know any women in their twenties,
- 21:42Speaker 2: so I can't help you personally.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Yeah, they ask for help. If they did not ask
- 21:50Speaker 1: for help, this would be very very different. But if
- 21:52Speaker 1: they ask for helping, yeah, obviously it's cool.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Do you just think that.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Unless you're screaming in Walmart or you're at like the
- 21:59Speaker 1: quick Stock are Circlekay, Hey, is.
- 22:02Speaker 4: Anyone in here twenty? Or do you know anyone in
- 22:04Speaker 4: their twenties? That might be a little weird?
- 22:07Speaker 5: What?
- 22:08Speaker 4: Yeah, what's wrong with it?
- 22:09Speaker 2: Do you think that it's probably just the the husband
- 22:14Speaker 2: and daughter dreading whenever Let's say they all went to
- 22:17Speaker 2: Happy Harry's rib fest, okay?
- 22:19Speaker 4: Or unhinged?
- 22:20Speaker 2: How unhinged happy hour? And then they're like hanging out
- 22:23Speaker 2: with people and they're.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Just dreading all great, here it comes.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Anny's gonna start asking anybody and everyone. So if they
- 22:31Speaker 2: think that it's a problem, maybe maybe toned down.
- 22:35Speaker 3: How often you ask people?
- 22:38Speaker 1: I want to know who this anonymous person is? Your
- 22:41Speaker 1: husband and or daughter?
- 22:43Speaker 4: Let us know.
- 22:44Speaker 1: I bet you can see her just winding up and
- 22:47Speaker 1: warming up like she's a bullpen pitcher just getting ready
- 22:49Speaker 1: to enter the game. You know, she's cracking the knuckles,
- 22:52Speaker 1: getting ready to bust out the Hey, do you know
- 22:54Speaker 1: anyone in their twenties question?
- 22:56Speaker 4: You can tell you know? There are tails, there are
- 22:58Speaker 4: signs that it is coming.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Okay, what do you think? Seven oh one two eight
- 23:03Speaker 2: one nine eight seven. We're also putting this up on
- 23:05Speaker 2: the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page. What advice
- 23:09Speaker 2: do you have for Annie who's just trying to help
- 23:12Speaker 2: a couple of dudes looking for.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Live the problem?
- 23:20Speaker 2: Julia coming in Clutch wholeheartedly agree with Angie. If they asked,
- 23:26Speaker 2: she is just doing her duty to help, but asking
- 23:30Speaker 2: for people she can't vouch for is also hilarious because
- 23:33Speaker 2: what if she recommends a bad match, is she making
- 23:37Speaker 2: them fill out a questionnaire?
- 23:39Speaker 4: I like this.
- 23:40Speaker 3: So the deal today is Annie.
- 23:42Speaker 2: She chose to remain anonymous, so we're calling her Annie.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Annie wanted to know if she's doing too much. She
- 23:48Speaker 2: has coworkers, a couple of dudes in their twenties who
- 23:52Speaker 2: asked her for help finding girlfriends, like, Hey, if you
- 23:56Speaker 2: know anybody, can you send them our way?
- 23:59Speaker 3: Poor Annie. She's like, no, I don't know anyone in
- 24:01Speaker 3: that age range.
- 24:03Speaker 2: But now what she does is asks basically, anyone, do
- 24:07Speaker 2: you know someone in that age range?
- 24:09Speaker 3: Let's hook them up.
- 24:10Speaker 1: He's not asking like, oh, hey, are you in your
- 24:12Speaker 1: twenties or I know someone who's in their twenties.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just do you know anyone on earth.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Walking in the area that's in their twenties. It could
- 24:22Speaker 1: be the person running the traffic light. It could be
- 24:25Speaker 1: the person you know working behind the counter at a
- 24:28Speaker 1: quick Star. It could be someone working at wherever you
- 24:32Speaker 1: work at here in the Beam area.
- 24:34Speaker 4: I find that to be so funny.
- 24:36Speaker 2: I think this is so sweet of Annie, though, because
- 24:38Speaker 2: they asked her for help and she's just trying to
- 24:41Speaker 2: provide help, but admittedly she's not in that age range,
- 24:45Speaker 2: and her husband and daughter are like, you're doing too much,
- 24:48Speaker 2: You're doing the most, and so she wanted to know
- 24:50Speaker 2: she's the problem.
- 24:50Speaker 4: I bet the daughter calls it cringe.
- 24:52Speaker 3: What I ohn't see.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Maybe what I like, though, is that we put this
- 24:56Speaker 2: on the Big ninety point seven Facebook page. We obviously
- 24:59Speaker 2: we told this story here on Big ninety eight point seven,
- 25:02Speaker 2: and a lot of people are just a supportive cuties
- 25:07Speaker 2: but also are trying to be matchmakers themselves, and that
- 25:13Speaker 2: is what I loved. We had a few good texts
- 25:15Speaker 2: in what did Melita say?
- 25:17Speaker 4: Gabe Melita?
- 25:19Speaker 1: I had to respond to Melita in a way that
- 25:21Speaker 1: was only fitting for this. Am I the problem? But
- 25:23Speaker 1: Melita said nothing wrong with playing matchmaker as a girl
- 25:27Speaker 1: in her early twenties. I would love it if someone
- 25:30Speaker 1: brought up singles to me, but I understand how that
- 25:32Speaker 1: could be odd. So I responded, of course, in all caps,
- 25:35Speaker 1: like I would assume our anonymous emailer today.
- 25:38Speaker 4: Malita, are you in your twenties?
- 25:41Speaker 1: And she said twenty four and keeping an eye out
- 25:44Speaker 1: for cuties?
- 25:45Speaker 3: Okay, okay, so maybe this could work.
- 25:49Speaker 2: What's the other Oh this Okay, another struggling matchmaker here.
- 25:53Speaker 2: I've got a sweet, funny, educated, introverted, extrovert, twenty two
- 25:58Speaker 2: year old gal in the air that would love to
- 26:01Speaker 2: meet one of Annie's guys.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Please send her my number. So, Annie, I'm gonna.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Send you a number and maybe this could be a
- 26:10Speaker 2: little matchmaking. Who knew that, am I the problem was
- 26:13Speaker 2: going to turn into a matchmaking session?
- 26:15Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 26:15Speaker 1: Usually we're on here arguing about relationship issues, social issues,
- 26:20Speaker 1: awareness issues, and we have changed it complete one eighty today.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Instead of arguing, Angie and I are simply here to help,
- 26:29Speaker 1: just facilitate some matchups.
- 26:32Speaker 3: We like Tea Move versions of Cupid right now?
- 26:36Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 26:36Speaker 1: Or who's the guy on the Bachelor the guy who
- 26:39Speaker 1: hosted Jesse Palmer or whatever?
- 26:41Speaker 3: Why do you know that name?
- 26:43Speaker 4: Well? He played football? Oh okay, I'm showing from that
- 26:46Speaker 4: we're the t Move version of that.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Yeah, we might have to do a little facilitating on
- 26:51Speaker 1: helping matchmaking, which is really what am I?
- 26:53Speaker 4: The problem?
- 26:54Speaker 1: When it began one and a half years ago, was
- 26:56Speaker 1: really destined to be our grand scheme has final come
- 27:00Speaker 1: to fruition.
- 27:00Speaker 2: But to answer your question, Annie, you are not the problem.
- 27:07Speaker 2: I need some.
- 27:10Speaker 5: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 27:13Speaker 5: good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 27:17Speaker 1: If you've ever heard someone say libraries are a thing
- 27:21Speaker 1: of the past, the West Fargo Public Library has some
- 27:24Speaker 1: news for you. The library just wrapped up a record
- 27:27Speaker 1: breaking year, with more people than ever checking out books,
- 27:32Speaker 1: attending programs, signing up for library cards, and using library services.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Library leaders say the growth shows that people they still
- 27:40Speaker 1: value learning, community and having a place to connect from
- 27:44Speaker 1: story times and technology help to books, movies, and community events.
- 27:49Speaker 1: The library continues to be one of West Fargo's busiest
- 27:52Speaker 1: gathering spots, and it's a great reminder that sometimes the
- 27:55Speaker 1: oldest ideas like borrowing a good book are still some
- 27:59Speaker 1: of the best.
- 28:00Speaker 2: This makes my heart so happy. I love a library.
- 28:05Speaker 2: We spend a lot of time at the library, our
- 28:08Speaker 2: family does. And this I mean record numbers. Yeah, this
- 28:12Speaker 2: is beautiful. I love it.
- 28:13Speaker 1: In twenty twenty six, the age of technology, the Internet,
- 28:17Speaker 1: social media, and this library is having record breaking numbers.
- 28:21Speaker 4: It's awesome to see.
- 28:22Speaker 3: That warms my heart.
- 28:23Speaker 1: And if you don't know my favorite quote here, it
- 28:25Speaker 1: is broken Crans. They still color and the world is
- 28:28Speaker 1: full of nice people. If you can't find one.
- 28:30Speaker 4: You gotta be
