- 0:03Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five whist talking basketball, and
- 0:08Speaker 1: they all wear a whistle. Yeah, but why didn't you
- 0:12Speaker 1: expect it's a podcast called twenty five Whistles. Today's maybe
- 0:21Speaker 1: the greatest day. Oh maybe it's amazing Super Bowl Sunday
- 0:26Speaker 1: and then the first day of the NC Double A tournament.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Like at ten thirty bones, I couldn't sleep last night
- 0:33Speaker 1: thinking about the brackets. I didn't go that far. I
- 0:35Speaker 1: need to change it, and that's not gonna work. Like
- 0:37Speaker 1: I gotta change that today. Yeah, I didn't. I didn't
- 0:39Speaker 1: go that. I can't sleep because of other reasons, but
- 0:41Speaker 1: not the brackets. Okay, so I got personal issues. We'll
- 0:46Speaker 1: talk to coach Seth greenbroke in a little bit, which
- 0:48Speaker 1: is pretty cool, and maybe bout the whistler. All right,
- 0:51Speaker 1: let's start the show. Twenty five Whistles presented by Draft
- 0:53Speaker 1: Kings sports book download the Draft Kings app and used
- 0:56Speaker 1: the code Bobby sports to get in the action. We
- 0:57Speaker 1: got five topics that we'll get to in a second.
- 1:00Speaker 1: All of sports. But as we do every single time,
- 1:02Speaker 1: let's go to the tittle Tattle Tattle Daddy. I was
- 1:13Speaker 1: talking to Kevin earlier. Yeah, he was like, hey, how's
- 1:15Speaker 1: it going today? And I was like, party hard last
- 1:17Speaker 1: night because he never showed up to our Calcutta. He
- 1:20Speaker 1: did not right, and I saw on his Instagram that
- 1:24Speaker 1: I think he had some drinks in front of him.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Was like, no, I didn't party that at hard him.
- 1:28Speaker 1: But why is your voice all shot? I don't know,
- 1:30Speaker 1: man said you. Maybe you have sleepy voice. Nope, okay,
- 1:34Speaker 1: So Eddie, I introduce you to Kevin. Hey, Eddie, how's
- 1:37Speaker 1: it going? Oh my god, somebody's parting last night? All right?
- 1:40Speaker 1: Go ahead, Kevin, we are good? All right? Bobby known
- 1:43Speaker 1: as a popular upset in round one? Do you see
- 1:45Speaker 1: any twelve seeds beating any five this weekend? Roll through
- 1:48Speaker 1: all four of them, and let's see what I have
- 1:50Speaker 1: to say. Then let's see what Coleman thinks you got
- 1:52Speaker 1: to be the right answer. Go ahead, all right? Miami
- 1:54Speaker 1: five seed playing Drake. Okay, maybe I don't again, I
- 1:57Speaker 1: don't really buy the Miami at a five hype, but
- 2:00Speaker 1: I think all fives are gonna win. I would bet
- 2:03Speaker 1: on all fives win because three of the four of
- 2:04Speaker 1: them would win. Like if I were gonna bet, I'm
- 2:06Speaker 1: abot all four fives we're gonna win. Um, and I'll roll.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I got a little tip for you guys later, tip
- 2:11Speaker 1: from I can't say who, A little secret tip. Okay,
- 2:15Speaker 1: I'll share with you guys later. But I'm gonna go. Uh.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I got Miami to win that one. Go ahead, Okay,
- 2:20Speaker 1: five seed Saint Mary's verse VCU Mary I should win
- 2:23Speaker 1: that game. Go ahead, five Duke versus Oral roberts Man.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I would love Oral roberts go ahead. Five seed San
- 2:32Speaker 1: Diego State versus College of Charleston. Yeah. I like San
- 2:38Speaker 1: Diego State as well. So only one? Yeah, yeah, I
- 2:43Speaker 1: go one out of four? Colemen, What do you think
- 2:45Speaker 1: about that? I've got two and two. I think the
- 2:48Speaker 1: twelve fives go two and two. I think more commonly
- 2:51Speaker 1: that's what happens than three and one. Um, but I've
- 2:54Speaker 1: got VCU pulling off the eppisode over Saint Mary's and
- 2:57Speaker 1: Drake over Miami. Why do you think that pairing the
- 2:59Speaker 1: twelve five is the one that's the most famous for
- 3:02Speaker 1: the twelve beating the five because it's typically the best
- 3:07Speaker 1: mid major teams that were in the one bid leagues,
- 3:11Speaker 1: and I oftentimes think those teams are underrated. And then
- 3:14Speaker 1: what do you think about the fives though? In general?
- 3:16Speaker 1: Are they teams that just kind of squeaked in or
- 3:19Speaker 1: fell at the end of the year and kind of
- 3:21Speaker 1: fell from a three or four for the most part. Yeah,
- 3:24Speaker 1: I mean that depends. You know, Miami I don't think
- 3:27Speaker 1: is a true five, especially with the loss of Omere.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Perhaps him healthy, they would have been a true five. Duke, though,
- 3:35Speaker 1: is a team the opposite. They're turning in the right direction.
- 3:37Speaker 1: San Diego State's been turning in the right direction, So
- 3:40Speaker 1: I think it depends year on year. I mean, Saint
- 3:42Speaker 1: Mary's just had a blowout against Gonzaga, But I think
- 3:46Speaker 1: it's more so the power of the twelves than being
- 3:49Speaker 1: underrated than it is the fives being overrated. I always
- 3:52Speaker 1: feel bad for the sixteens or even we could go elevens.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I mean, you could put pitt in Mississippi State. I
- 3:58Speaker 1: don't feel bad for them, But you win your conference tournament,
- 4:01Speaker 1: then you got to play to get in. I think
- 4:03Speaker 1: that if we're gonna do playing games, it should be
- 4:04Speaker 1: teams that are playing their way into the tournament, not
- 4:07Speaker 1: teams that are qualified for the tournament, because I don't
- 4:09Speaker 1: feel like those playing games are actual tournament games like,
- 4:14Speaker 1: that's not the real NCY double A tournament direct whatever
- 4:17Speaker 1: you want, since university tournament, that's it. That's the NCI.
- 4:22Speaker 1: It's like them. So if you want to put Mississippi
- 4:26Speaker 1: State and pit it gets to all day long, you
- 4:27Speaker 1: should have four games like that where they're fighting to
- 4:30Speaker 1: get in because they didn't automatically get in by qualifying
- 4:33Speaker 1: for the tournament. That's a bull crap. We need to
- 4:35Speaker 1: change that. Although I'd love for it to go to
- 4:37Speaker 1: like everybody gets in, that would be awesome. It's just
- 4:39Speaker 1: a free for all. Everybody's in the tournament. I love
- 4:44Speaker 1: and again we've only seen it once where sixteen beats
- 4:47Speaker 1: of one. I just love when little guys get a
- 4:49Speaker 1: shot because if you give enough little guys a shot,
- 4:51Speaker 1: eventually you're going to see a little guy beat a
- 4:53Speaker 1: big guy. If that's a sixteen one, if that's a
- 4:54Speaker 1: two fifteen, we've seen that, and you'd have a thirty
- 4:58Speaker 1: two versus a one, basically directly the why plan A
- 5:01Speaker 1: number one? I want to say right there, all right,
- 5:03Speaker 1: go ahead, Kevin, what chances do you give Houston if
- 5:06Speaker 1: Marcus Sasser misses more than one game? I saw them
- 5:08Speaker 1: play Memphis, and so I think Memphis is very athletic,
- 5:13Speaker 1: very strong. But Sasser's a dude. So what do you
- 5:16Speaker 1: mean chance to do what went at all? None? If
- 5:19Speaker 1: he's hurt the whole tournament. I mean I think if
- 5:22Speaker 1: they don't have him, or if he's I mean Elite eight,
- 5:25Speaker 1: maybe a ceiling. What do you think, Coleman? Yeah, I'm
- 5:29Speaker 1: really worried. I have Houston as my national champ, and
- 5:31Speaker 1: that is fully assuming that Marcus Marcus Sasser is as
- 5:35Speaker 1: close to full health as possible. If he's out, I
- 5:38Speaker 1: have my Homer pick of taking Colgate over Texas. But
- 5:41Speaker 1: if I'm being a little bit more realistic about it, yeah,
- 5:44Speaker 1: that's a tough Elite eight matchup. If they have to
- 5:47Speaker 1: see Texas and they don't have Marcus Sasser, I mean
- 5:50Speaker 1: clearly they're susceptible to an eight nine matchup. They just
- 5:53Speaker 1: lost to a team that was an eight seed without Sasser. Yeah,
- 5:57Speaker 1: I have ceiling without Sasser or with a limited as
- 6:00Speaker 1: at about Elite eight as well because of who they
- 6:02Speaker 1: have to play. I mean, Texas is real. I wos
- 6:05Speaker 1: say real good. Texas is just real. They can score,
- 6:09Speaker 1: they can play defense, So that's a tough matchup for them,
- 6:11Speaker 1: and if it does happen, I believe that game, the
- 6:13Speaker 1: Houston and Texas game, that is actually a game in
- 6:16Speaker 1: Texas as well. Isn't that all Texas all the time?
- 6:20Speaker 1: Texas Texas, Houston Texas playing in Texas? Yes? I think
- 6:23Speaker 1: what what? What? I think it's Kansas City tournament, kasy
- 6:29Speaker 1: because the final four is in Houston, so to go
- 6:33Speaker 1: to Houston, go to Texas. Hey, I looked at the
- 6:34Speaker 1: wrong thing over the bracket. I thought it was gonna
- 6:37Speaker 1: be all Texas all the time. Okay, Kanas City sucks,
- 6:40Speaker 1: by the way, the town or sucks. I think they
- 6:43Speaker 1: have a new airport, Kansa City. That's the worst airport
- 6:46Speaker 1: I've ever seen in my life. And if they have
- 6:48Speaker 1: a new airport, I automatically think it's amazing and I
- 6:50Speaker 1: love it. But you guys ever flown through Kansas City, Coleman,
- 6:54Speaker 1: I don't think I have no. Have you ever been
- 6:57Speaker 1: to like a repair shop like car repair the city?
- 7:00Speaker 1: That's that's our airport, an auto shop. Yeah, it's awful.
- 7:05Speaker 1: So hopefully they've got that thing updated or a new
- 7:08Speaker 1: one now with a bunch of people coming in for
- 7:11Speaker 1: the basketball games. We tried to. We're going to Iowa today.
- 7:14Speaker 1: We couldn't get a car, like a rental car. Everything
- 7:16Speaker 1: is sold out in des Moine, Iowa. Wow, because you
- 7:19Speaker 1: know they have the regional that's there. However, Can't City
- 7:23Speaker 1: a little bigger, but also more of America will be
- 7:25Speaker 1: going to watch that game. It'll be deeper end. What
- 7:28Speaker 1: are we talking about? Eight sixteen eight tweet sixteen A
- 7:30Speaker 1: Can't City? Right, So how we get into the game today?
- 7:34Speaker 1: What do you mean like we don't have a rental car? Okay,
- 7:36Speaker 1: look do this, hold your hand up, this, hold your
- 7:38Speaker 1: hand up, Yeah, I got it. Take these four fingers here,
- 7:40Speaker 1: the four finger parts. Didn't put them down? Now turn
- 7:43Speaker 1: your hand. That's called a thumb. We're hitching. No, we're
- 7:45Speaker 1: not hitching. We'll never make it. I thought that was
- 7:50Speaker 1: in Texas day, it's in Kansas City. That's probably good
- 7:53Speaker 1: for Houston, honestly, because you know Longhorn fans. Yeah, probably
- 7:58Speaker 1: even if it were in Houston would probably you know,
- 8:00Speaker 1: rule the crowd in that game. Are there a lot
- 8:02Speaker 1: of Houston fans? I mean I don't know a lot
- 8:04Speaker 1: of I know my wife graduated and she's like, I
- 8:08Speaker 1: really didn't have a lot of people in school. They're
- 8:10Speaker 1: still a true Jim Nancy's right, I guess if you
- 8:13Speaker 1: put them on a microphone. But they're a mid major
- 8:17Speaker 1: until next year, right, I mean they're a mid major
- 8:20Speaker 1: this year, So you're talking about a mid major versus
- 8:24Speaker 1: arguably one of the top five, biggest, most prominent schools
- 8:27Speaker 1: in America. So all right, next question, which head coach
- 8:30Speaker 1: do you think it's under the most pressure in the tournament.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I think coaches that probably are expected to win this
- 8:37Speaker 1: year are people like if Purdue flames out, I think
- 8:39Speaker 1: that's trouble because they got a one, they got the
- 8:43Speaker 1: player of the year. I think there's so much parody though,
- 8:48Speaker 1: even with the ones and twos, more than I've ever
- 8:50Speaker 1: seen where I would say Purdue. I would also go
- 8:55Speaker 1: over to Texas though, and if they can get to
- 8:58Speaker 1: the Elite eight Final four, I think you're looking at
- 8:59Speaker 1: a coaches now the head coach next season. Yeah sure,
- 9:02Speaker 1: So you know when you say pressure, pressure can be
- 9:04Speaker 1: good too, not just bad. So I would see the
- 9:06Speaker 1: programs with the coaches. I would say Perdue in Texas.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I mean, Duke is interesting. I think that's also some
- 9:12Speaker 1: good pressure. If he can win a few games just
- 9:15Speaker 1: because what's coach are gonna do? I mean, he's had
- 9:18Speaker 1: a pretty good overall season, though towards the end of
- 9:21Speaker 1: the year, the second half of the year. I mean,
- 9:23Speaker 1: I think they've only lost like five games, six games maybe,
- 9:26Speaker 1: but they've only lost Yeah, they've lost more than that,
- 9:28Speaker 1: but they've only lost one in the last but fifteen
- 9:33Speaker 1: sixteen games something like that. They won nine in a row. Yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 1: it was just impressive. Call him what way you think
- 9:36Speaker 1: about that? Pressure wise? I think it's two coaches in
- 9:40Speaker 1: that bottom left Regional number one Matt Painter hasn't been
- 9:44Speaker 1: to a final four, has a team that's a one seed?
- 9:47Speaker 1: Can he get over that hump and into the final weekend?
- 9:50Speaker 1: He's had some really good teams not be able to
- 9:52Speaker 1: do it. And then Kentucky coach Calipari. I mean, Big
- 9:55Speaker 1: Blue Nation is crazy every single year in their expectations,
- 10:00Speaker 1: but not that he's necessarily on the hot seat. They
- 10:04Speaker 1: seem very upset with recent performance. Rightfully, so, I haven't
- 10:08Speaker 1: won a tournament game quite some time. I think he's
- 10:11Speaker 1: under a little bit of pressure too. I would have
- 10:14Speaker 1: said he was on the hot seat had they not
- 10:16Speaker 1: won some games at the end of the season because
- 10:18Speaker 1: Kentucky was playing not Kentucky standard for almost a whole year.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I mean, Arkansas went over and beat him. They came
- 10:25Speaker 1: back here into Arkansas and beat us. But that being said,
- 10:28Speaker 1: that's when they were rolling and they were looking athletic.
- 10:31Speaker 1: And I was reading the Kentucky message boards because that
- 10:34Speaker 1: is why they're hilarious, and they were like, get rid
- 10:37Speaker 1: of a cow They were like, we hate him, get
- 10:38Speaker 1: rid of him. That's terrible. And they go, we know,
- 10:41Speaker 1: we haven't won a tournament game, and and you know
- 10:44Speaker 1: what for Kentucky, they haven't performed in the postseason. Now,
- 10:47Speaker 1: when you start counting the years in which they haven't performed,
- 10:49Speaker 1: there's the COVID stuff too, and they they're like, we
- 10:52Speaker 1: haven't done well in four Well, yeah, but you know
- 10:54Speaker 1: that was very heavily affected by COVID and one of
- 10:56Speaker 1: those years even played at all. So that's a great
- 10:59Speaker 1: point about Cowdn think about him. But if they lose quickly,
- 11:01Speaker 1: if Kentucky loses round one or two, that's trouble. And
- 11:06Speaker 1: I would say there's a twenty five to thirty percent
- 11:08Speaker 1: chance they move on. Meeting cal Pridy's gonna dould it anymore, right,
- 11:12Speaker 1: and neither does the fan base. Oh if they lose early,
- 11:15Speaker 1: they lose round one or two, be awesome. It's just
- 11:18Speaker 1: gonna be carnage. I'll go over to bb AND message
- 11:20Speaker 1: board and just watch. It's like watching a car wreck. Man,
- 11:23Speaker 1: It's crazy. What about coach Izzo? Is he under any pressure?
- 11:26Speaker 1: You think? Is he under pressure? Ever? Though? I mean
- 11:28Speaker 1: he looks like he's read as a tomato all the time.
- 11:30Speaker 1: That's true. I guess I never sure up sure right.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I just feel like he's one of the last of
- 11:37Speaker 1: the you know, the older coaches. I don't know how
- 11:39Speaker 1: much time he has left being a coach. I feel
- 11:41Speaker 1: like and their season was not great. They snuck into
- 11:45Speaker 1: the tournament. I like Michigan State though. Yeah. I mean
- 11:49Speaker 1: every time I watched them, they just seem like they're
- 11:51Speaker 1: all right. What do you think, Colman? Pressure on Iszo?
- 11:54Speaker 1: I don't think there's pressure on him, But I agree
- 11:56Speaker 1: with you, Eddie. Every time I watched him, I think, Eh,
- 11:58Speaker 1: they're just all right. However, the order of the months
- 12:01Speaker 1: goes January February Izzo. Izzo has so much success in
- 12:05Speaker 1: the month of March. I think it was twenty nineteen
- 12:07Speaker 1: that he made the final four is a seventh seed.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Look what they're at this year, getting to play Marquette.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I don't hate that matchup for him at all. Maybe
- 12:15Speaker 1: they could make a run, but I don't think he's
- 12:17Speaker 1: under pressure. Although they haven't been as good as Michigan
- 12:21Speaker 1: State of Old, but there are another team that COVID,
- 12:23Speaker 1: that COVID year. I love that Michigan team in their
- 12:26Speaker 1: chance to make a deep run. Affected by that a
- 12:30Speaker 1: lot of schools have ripped off the January February is
- 12:32Speaker 1: that it's so late you can't I'm not sure if
- 12:35Speaker 1: Michigan State started it, but I know they're the ones
- 12:38Speaker 1: that I know that for. I like, but now I
- 12:40Speaker 1: see other schools steal it, and I'm like, you guys
- 12:41Speaker 1: are so freaking lang. He did not come up with
- 12:44Speaker 1: that stopback January February, muscleman wouldn't. No, that does not happen.
- 12:50Speaker 1: But also, don't you want to be April and you
- 12:54Speaker 1: do want to be are right? I mean? Does March
- 12:57Speaker 1: just means you kind of you almost win it, you
- 13:00Speaker 1: get to the final four, but then don't win it.
- 13:03Speaker 1: What do you got there? Kevin going to the NBA.
- 13:05Speaker 1: After losing their fourth straight game on Tuesday night, Nuggets
- 13:07Speaker 1: head coach Mike Malone said his team is in cruise control.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Do you think they're just bored with the regular season?
- 13:12Speaker 1: I watched them play was the Rockets? Did they play
- 13:15Speaker 1: the Rockets? Last night? And that before? All My nights
- 13:19Speaker 1: are mixed up because I'm watching college basketball playing games
- 13:21Speaker 1: and I'm watching NBA games on Sunday Ticket and I
- 13:24Speaker 1: watched them lose that game Sunday Tickets, same thing. It's
- 13:28Speaker 1: just the appall the games interesting, just Sundays. You know.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I don't think they're a threat to lose the one
- 13:34Speaker 1: because you have Memphis, which who knows what's happening there?
- 13:38Speaker 1: And if John Morant's gonna come back at all? What
- 13:40Speaker 1: was the game Raptors they're red red? Yeah, maybe maybe similar. Um,
- 13:50Speaker 1: I don't think they're a threat to losing the one,
- 13:52Speaker 1: because again, what are the Grizzlies gonna do? Is John
- 13:55Speaker 1: right even coming back? And I think there are lolls
- 13:59Speaker 1: with every team all the time, and I think they're
- 14:01Speaker 1: probably just going through that right now. I also started
- 14:04Speaker 1: watching the doc Rivers thing on Netflix, the Coaches Show. Well, accidentally,
- 14:08Speaker 1: my wife and I she goes, hey, you want to
- 14:10Speaker 1: go to this sauna deal that's near the house. And
- 14:12Speaker 1: I'm like, what do you mean, what's we have a
- 14:14Speaker 1: sun at our house. But she's like, it's a different one,
- 14:16Speaker 1: different kind of infrared. To try it out. Cool, we
- 14:18Speaker 1: go in the thing. They have a TV. That's awesome. Yeah,
- 14:22Speaker 1: so you don't just get bored. You can't have your
- 14:23Speaker 1: phone in there. It's too hot and it's a forty
- 14:25Speaker 1: five minute sauna deal. So we get in. We're scrolling
- 14:28Speaker 1: on Netflix and it's I don't forget the name of
- 14:29Speaker 1: the show, but it's like Coaches and their philosophy on life.
- 14:32Speaker 1: In the first episodes, Doc Rivers and I put it
- 14:34Speaker 1: on and I'm like, I'm not gonna even want to
- 14:35Speaker 1: watch this, but I need something to go while we're
- 14:38Speaker 1: just in the sauna. I want to watch something I
- 14:40Speaker 1: really cared about because I'm in the sona. I may
- 14:42Speaker 1: be miserable in there. It's awesome. Really Yeah, I like
- 14:46Speaker 1: Doc Rivers. Anyway, at the time, he was still coaching
- 14:50Speaker 1: the Clippers. When they shot this. He hadn't gone over
- 14:54Speaker 1: to Philadelphia yet, but he was talking about all the
- 14:57Speaker 1: boss and stuff and how you know they were. They
- 14:59Speaker 1: were down in Game one of the Lakers and they
- 15:00Speaker 1: were down by like eighteen or whatever it was. And
- 15:03Speaker 1: there are clips at him live in the game, going
- 15:04Speaker 1: just give me a twelve, Just give me twelve. Okay,
- 15:06Speaker 1: just give me to six. And they dominate the series.
- 15:08Speaker 1: And that's in that whole story. Yeah, And how he
- 15:11Speaker 1: shined a spotlight on the wall where there was an
- 15:13Speaker 1: empty banner of Boston. He's because this is we have
- 15:15Speaker 1: a spot open right here, and how just get it
- 15:18Speaker 1: being a leader, Yes, it really was great. So as
- 15:20Speaker 1: a coach myself, should I watch this? Yeah? I don't
- 15:23Speaker 1: know that would classify yourself as a coach. Do you
- 15:24Speaker 1: have a lot of pressure right now? The season's over? Now?
- 15:28Speaker 1: Now we're done many last game like five weeks ago,
- 15:31Speaker 1: dang um did anything to worry about? No, I don't
- 15:34Speaker 1: think so. They're professionals. They have although you know, all
- 15:39Speaker 1: the talk has been about the MVP and Yokis isn't
- 15:44Speaker 1: playing that well and the last few five, six seven
- 15:48Speaker 1: games as well, and I know with mbied pretty close,
- 15:53Speaker 1: he may actually lose the MVP more than they will
- 15:56Speaker 1: lose that one seed in the West. But who can
- 15:59Speaker 1: win it in the West. Let's just do it Golden State. Yeah,
- 16:01Speaker 1: probably they can't. Now they've got they got stepped back,
- 16:04Speaker 1: they're back. Okay, they can win it. Phoenix, Phoenix absolutely can't,
- 16:09Speaker 1: even though Duran's not there right now. Absolutely Phoenix can
- 16:12Speaker 1: win the West. Um, what about Memphis? No, I don't
- 16:17Speaker 1: say no. I don't think so either. So who can
- 16:21Speaker 1: win in the West? Nope, they're too all over the
- 16:24Speaker 1: play I don't figure it out their offense yet. Yeah,
- 16:26Speaker 1: I don't even know what I'm watching when I watched them.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Who else you got over there? Nope, they can't. It's
- 16:32Speaker 1: chaotic over there. It is. It's like when your kid
- 16:36Speaker 1: eats a bunch of like too much cereal, and you're like,
- 16:39Speaker 1: you're just a little too fast right now, Like you're
- 16:41Speaker 1: just moving around too fast a bunch of sugar. That's
- 16:44Speaker 1: almost what Dallas feels like. And I don't feel like
- 16:46Speaker 1: they can get it all together before it's playoff time,
- 16:49Speaker 1: at least not enough to make a substantial run they
- 16:52Speaker 1: can win a series. And who else? Kings? Yeah, okay,
- 16:55Speaker 1: the Kings are the three right now unless they moved
- 16:58Speaker 1: up to the older tides. Sorry, Okay, in Memphis are tied.
- 17:00Speaker 1: So is the Sacramento delightfully good? I saw Daron Fox
- 17:09Speaker 1: hit the game winner, like point seven said, would you
- 17:11Speaker 1: see that shot? He comes down, I don't know, five
- 17:13Speaker 1: feet behind three point line. You're like, sure he's gonna
- 17:15Speaker 1: pass this once like shot by own. Game over, he
- 17:17Speaker 1: walks off like that's what we do. Like you're seeing
- 17:20Speaker 1: Sacramento mature. I never thought I would see a good
- 17:24Speaker 1: King's team. But no, I think they're still too young, right,
- 17:28Speaker 1: So my answer is no, I think that you're talking
- 17:31Speaker 1: about Denver still probably for sure get keeping the number
- 17:36Speaker 1: one and at least get into the finals, probably Phoenix
- 17:39Speaker 1: beating them if Golden State doesn't. Next question, going to
- 17:46Speaker 1: the NFL. Do you believe Aaron Rodgers when he said
- 17:49Speaker 1: he was ninety percent sure he's going to retire and
- 17:51Speaker 1: then he came out of his black hole and found
- 17:54Speaker 1: out the packers were going to shop him around and
- 17:55Speaker 1: he said, okay, I'm coming back. I don't believe Aaron
- 17:58Speaker 1: Rodgers for anything like coman hotel room again. Oh boy,
- 18:01Speaker 1: it's about the time of the day where Coleman runs
- 18:02Speaker 1: to the door because someone's like housekeeping. At the same time,
- 18:06Speaker 1: every single episode housekeeping every single time, and it's always
- 18:10Speaker 1: multiple housekeeping people that come by. There's got to be
- 18:13Speaker 1: some system. But Coleman, are you telling them to the
- 18:16Speaker 1: housekeeping people? You gotta tell him you want to late
- 18:18Speaker 1: check out late check? I tell them, I tell them,
- 18:21Speaker 1: and housekeeping people still come by, but they're like, um, son,
- 18:25Speaker 1: But what do your parents say? Because Coleman looks like
- 18:27Speaker 1: you're twelve, like you want a late one? But what
- 18:29Speaker 1: does mommy and daddy say? So they just think you're
- 18:32Speaker 1: a kid. I don't believe Aaron Rodgers for anything whatsoever.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I love what he does as far as just toys
- 18:38Speaker 1: with folks, messes with people. Hilarious. Cal was really annoyed
- 18:42Speaker 1: with that too. But he just doesn't so much. You
- 18:43Speaker 1: kind of have to respect it again. Like it here
- 18:46Speaker 1: the phases of Aaron Rodgers. Man, he's a good quarterback. Wait,
- 18:50Speaker 1: he's kind of weird. Huh. Oh man, he just has
- 18:53Speaker 1: a bunch of crap. He does not care. Oh I
- 18:55Speaker 1: like that, you know what. Aaron Rodgers kind of annoying. Yeah,
- 18:58Speaker 1: you know what, I'm just not Aaron Rodgers. The guy's
- 19:00Speaker 1: too full of himself. Oh we're still going huh. That's Okay, okay,
- 19:04Speaker 1: that's kind of funny. Yeah, I love Aaron Rodgers. That's
- 19:08Speaker 1: all the phases of Aaron Rodgers right there. That's like
- 19:10Speaker 1: that monkey demand. That's evolution of how we all feel
- 19:15Speaker 1: about Aaron Rodgers. I do not believe him when he
- 19:17Speaker 1: says he went into a dark hole and that's what
- 19:19Speaker 1: made him come back and play for the Jets, which
- 19:21Speaker 1: by the way, hasn't signed anything yet. What about that
- 19:23Speaker 1: schefter tweet? Did you see that Chefter tweet? The screenshot? Yes,
- 19:26Speaker 1: what do you think about lose my number? That whole
- 19:30Speaker 1: thing with McAfee. It was great, It was just funny.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I don't believe him. I think he knew the whole time.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I do, and I think it's gonna be fun to watch,
- 19:39Speaker 1: and I think it possibly the best quarterback the Jets
- 19:41Speaker 1: have ever had. Oh yeah, ever, I mean, you were
- 19:44Speaker 1: you gonna say name nine Roadway Joe. But what was
- 19:47Speaker 1: crazy about him was he wasn't really expected. They were
- 19:50Speaker 1: the underdog in that game when he guaranteed a victory.
- 19:53Speaker 1: That's why it was so crazy that Yeah, and so
- 19:57Speaker 1: I think Aaron Rodgers the best quarterback that Jets have
- 19:59Speaker 1: ever had. And now he's got all the old buddies.
- 20:02Speaker 1: One of my friends texted me it was like, looks
- 20:04Speaker 1: like Aaron Rodgers is doing the old bones move. And
- 20:06Speaker 1: I was like, what does that mean? Messing up people?
- 20:08Speaker 1: Goes no hiring all his friends even though it could
- 20:09Speaker 1: be detrimental to the team. And I was like, that's detrimental,
- 20:13Speaker 1: that's rude. That's what I said, Yes, exactly, the offended me. Now, yeah,
- 20:17Speaker 1: all of you all right? What else you got? Last
- 20:20Speaker 1: one here? Excluding the Aaron Rodgers talk? Which move so
- 20:23Speaker 1: far has been your favorite in the NFL, whether it's
- 20:25Speaker 1: a trade or signing. With the new season just beginning.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I like Derek Carr going down to the Saints. Do
- 20:31Speaker 1: you like how he did that? I think that's hilarious.
- 20:34Speaker 1: He says, no, Raiders, I will not allow you to
- 20:36Speaker 1: trade me to the Saints. Well, I guess we have
- 20:38Speaker 1: to free you. I'm going to the Saints and they
- 20:40Speaker 1: got nothing. Screw them, got them? Hilarious. I love that.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I think the Cowboys cutting Zeke not my favorite, but hey,
- 20:50Speaker 1: that's a that's a monumental. Absolutely. Remember for I don't
- 20:55Speaker 1: know months, it was about signing Zeke to a long deal.
- 20:58Speaker 1: He was getting off a plane I come back from vacation,
- 21:00Speaker 1: they can be able to sign Z Like how quickly
- 21:03Speaker 1: things come and go. And then it was a lot
- 21:05Speaker 1: of money. Yea, once they came up with a deal. Geez,
- 21:08Speaker 1: so that was big. I like Darren Waller to the Giants.
- 21:11Speaker 1: I think that's another weapon for Daniel Jones who's now
- 21:14Speaker 1: getting paid at least for two years forty million bucks
- 21:16Speaker 1: a year if he can stay healthy another year in
- 21:19Speaker 1: Dabel's offense, which is cool. So I like that. You know,
- 21:24Speaker 1: we we're seeing running backs don't matter that much, like
- 21:26Speaker 1: I saw Miles Sanders. I think he ended up signing
- 21:29Speaker 1: with Carolina Carolina, but it took a while and he
- 21:36Speaker 1: was just chilling. You would think somebody would scoop up
- 21:38Speaker 1: at back like that, but they in the NFL, they
- 21:40Speaker 1: feel like backs are kind of replaceable. Do you like
- 21:41Speaker 1: the Bears move which one the trade, the big trade? Yeah? Yeah,
- 21:45Speaker 1: I think it's great. They know what they need and
- 21:48Speaker 1: they knew they didn't need to stay in one because
- 21:50Speaker 1: they could get what they need at eight nineteen eleven twelve,
- 21:53Speaker 1: which is interior offense and defensive line. So yeah, I
- 21:57Speaker 1: like that too. What is your favorite move? Mine? Is
- 21:59Speaker 1: probably Allen Ramsey going to the Dolphins. That's gonna think
- 22:02Speaker 1: that's crazy. And what was it only a third round
- 22:04Speaker 1: pick or something? That Dolphins team is good. If they
- 22:06Speaker 1: can keep too healthy or find a quarterback, whatever they do,
- 22:09Speaker 1: that team is good. What about you, Eddie? Obviously I
- 22:12Speaker 1: like the Zeke move. I mean I hate to see
- 22:14Speaker 1: Zeke go, you know, but what he's been doing for
- 22:17Speaker 1: us lately just not I mean, it reminds me. I'm
- 22:21Speaker 1: not going to compare it exactly, but the train robbery
- 22:23Speaker 1: of like herschel Walker. Who you get for those picks?
- 22:26Speaker 1: Who knows what we can get for Once we open
- 22:28Speaker 1: up that money for Zeke. I think it's gonna open
- 22:30Speaker 1: up a lot of stuff for the Cowboys, just financially, Yeah, financially,
- 22:33Speaker 1: because that was a lot of money that that contract
- 22:35Speaker 1: was about for all. Didn't Pollard just looks so much
- 22:40Speaker 1: better than Zeke this year? Yeah, they ended up using
- 22:42Speaker 1: Zeke Moore as a goal lineback, which like, we can
- 22:45Speaker 1: pretty much get that anywhere. I think that's not true
- 22:47Speaker 1: because obviously Polar tried to run goal and they they
- 22:49Speaker 1: stuffed him pretty good. Yeah, I know, you definitely, yes,
- 22:53Speaker 1: but you don't need to pay your goal line back
- 22:55Speaker 1: a ton of money, that much money, but he wasn't
- 22:57Speaker 1: when they signed him. Teams tend to overpay near the
- 23:01Speaker 1: late middle end of contracts for players, unless you're a quarterback.
- 23:05Speaker 1: But yeah, did that miss anybody big? There's been so much.
- 23:08Speaker 1: This has been the greatest lot. This has been the
- 23:10Speaker 1: greatest like opening up of free agency I've ever seen. Yeah,
- 23:14Speaker 1: it's been unbelievable because it's been that much shifting. So
- 23:17Speaker 1: all right, I'm good enough with that. Is that it?
- 23:19Speaker 1: That's it? All right? Close it up up. Everybody's day
- 23:30Speaker 1: going good. It's about to get really good. Let's go
- 23:34Speaker 1: which part it's gonna get really good? It's just march madness, dude,
- 23:37Speaker 1: because like today is crazy, Like we're going to Iowa,
- 23:40Speaker 1: which is cool, it's gonna be awesome. But then after
- 23:43Speaker 1: that there's gonna be games, you know when tonight and
- 23:46Speaker 1: then tomorrow we're gonna wake up. There'll be games all
- 23:49Speaker 1: day and like the next day non stop. I like that.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I'd like it if I was West coast to when
- 23:53Speaker 1: you wake up at nine, oh mann start, Oh my god,
- 23:56Speaker 1: com where are you? I'm in Orlando, Florida. That's where
- 24:00Speaker 1: I decided to go. Let me say this because I

- 24:32Speaker 1: to say something about that parlay? Kevan? Or are you
- 24:34Speaker 1: just waving it a fly? No? I didn't do it.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I thought he had fired everybody talking about the parlay.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I already put money on it. We're good, we're rolling.
- 24:40Speaker 1: You feel good about it? Oh? Yeah, all three of
- 24:42Speaker 1: those games today? I know the Kansas. The game hasn't
- 24:44Speaker 1: no the Arkans. Wait, I know ones on Friday, Ah,
- 24:47Speaker 1: they got you gotta wait it on that one sleep
- 24:49Speaker 1: I didn't mean to do that. I meant to do

- 25:18Speaker 1: Madness starts today. Read me through the games, Kevin that
- 25:21Speaker 1: we will watch today on Thursday because I bought some teams.
- 25:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to get to that in a little bit.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. And also I bet on all the game.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I bet on every game today, every single game, every
- 25:33Speaker 1: single game I've been on. And then after we reaching
- 25:36Speaker 1: these games, I'm gonna give you guys the tip where
- 25:39Speaker 1: you will make more smiles than frowns. Come on, let's
- 25:43Speaker 1: go first. Up, we got that tip, dude, Yeah, go ahead.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I didn't know where We're going West Virginia, Maryland, Furman, Virginia,
- 25:50Speaker 1: Utah State, Missouri, Howard, Kansas, Texas, a and M. Corpus Christie, Alabama, Charleston,
- 25:57Speaker 1: San Diego State, Princeton, Arizona, Illinois, Arkansas, Auburn, Iowa, Oral,
- 26:01Speaker 1: Robert Duke, Colgate, Texas, Boise State, Northwestern Northern Kentucky, Houston.
- 26:06Speaker 1: He's reading it such a weird way that I don't
- 26:07Speaker 1: know who's playing who. I just like, go look at
- 26:09Speaker 1: my bracket. But that being said, it's like a symphony playing.
- 26:12Speaker 1: It's just one after the other. And at the same time,
- 26:14Speaker 1: if you don't want to watch this one, you look
- 26:15Speaker 1: and you see the other game on the top of
- 26:16Speaker 1: the screen on True TV, and you're like, that game's close.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I need to find True TV. And you're like play
- 26:21Speaker 1: True TV and it can't find it, and it's like
- 26:24Speaker 1: Motley Crue TV and you're like, no, True TV and
- 26:27Speaker 1: you're trying to catch the end of the game, and
- 26:29Speaker 1: then finally you get off. That's why I love like
- 26:31Speaker 1: looking at the top of this screen has got all
- 26:32Speaker 1: of them. Oh, this game's close. Let flip it over there.
- 26:34Speaker 1: It's amazing. I mean, it's the only time of the
- 26:36Speaker 1: year I watched True TV exactly only. Yes, So here's
- 26:41Speaker 1: what I'm gonna say, and I can pull up my
- 26:43Speaker 1: map let. You guys know, do you want Kevin to
- 26:44Speaker 1: read those games again? Oh? God, no? Only halfway three?
- 26:47Speaker 1: He was Texas A and M Corpus Christy Alabama? Is
- 26:50Speaker 1: that one school? They got five names in one name.
- 26:54Speaker 1: So here's what I did. And if you guys would
- 26:57Speaker 1: like to be in intelligent like myself, open up your
- 27:01Speaker 1: Draft Kings app and make those bets on the first
- 27:04Speaker 1: half unders. Oh boy, Like I told you, it's day one.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Everybody's a little nervous. Some of these mid majors are
- 27:14Speaker 1: on top of the world and they're gonna come out
- 27:16Speaker 1: and playing one hundred miles an hour and it's gonna
- 27:19Speaker 1: take a minute before the game. The size the athleticism
- 27:22Speaker 1: of these ones twos, threes, four catches up with them.
- 27:24Speaker 1: That's interesting. So Bobby to year point. I saw a
- 27:28Speaker 1: stat that since twenty eleven, first half unders in the
- 27:32Speaker 1: first round of the NCAA Tournament hit at a fifty
- 27:34Speaker 1: eight point nine percent clip. I'm saying seventy five. Wow, Say,
- 27:39Speaker 1: is there a chance though that draft that's very profitable
- 27:41Speaker 1: over a long period of time. Yeah, you're right. Is
- 27:44Speaker 1: there a chance Draft Kings is listening to us right
- 27:46Speaker 1: now and being like, oh my gosh, you may have something.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Let's move those lines before the game start listening to us. No, yes, okay,
- 27:52Speaker 1: but I've bet on many over unders. Here's what I
- 27:55Speaker 1: bet today so far. I got Auburn minus one playing Iowa.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I got Arizona minus fourteen and a half playing Princeton.
- 28:05Speaker 1: I've got first half under of sixty seven Arkansas Illinois.
- 28:10Speaker 1: I got Alabama minus twenty four. Game wise, I bet
- 28:12Speaker 1: a lot on that one. Oh, you're moving too fast.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I can't. I gotta log in first, I go go back,
- 28:16Speaker 1: listen to podcast. I got first half unders on Howard
- 28:19Speaker 1: to Kansas, how on Kansas. I got first half unders
- 28:21Speaker 1: on Missouri Utah State. I'm just saying, bet first half hunders. Yeah,
- 28:24Speaker 1: if you've got four of them, go and catch yourself
- 28:27Speaker 1: three wins on me. Hey, have a little treat on me.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Also in the eliminator, which we have going today. So
- 28:34Speaker 1: you guys jumped into my eliminator. We did. We have
- 28:36Speaker 1: decided on two teams that we think will not lose.
- 28:39Speaker 1: But you don't want to pick teams that are also
- 28:40Speaker 1: alive later. Well you said, quote don't get too cute. Well,
- 28:44Speaker 1: it's you don't want to lose first round by picking
- 28:47Speaker 1: eights and nines. But if you pick ones and you
- 28:49Speaker 1: want guaranteed victories, you're not gonna be able to use
- 28:50Speaker 1: them later and they'd be the only team left. Then
- 28:52Speaker 1: you'd lose. Correct. So who are the two teams we picked? Boys? No,
- 28:56Speaker 1: I don't remember. Oh my god, are you? Duke? Duke
- 28:59Speaker 1: was one? Go ahead? Yukon Nonaga, it was Gonzaga. It
- 29:05Speaker 1: was Gonzaga and Duke. It's Kansas and Duke today? Thank god.
- 29:09Speaker 1: It's wrong with you, guys, it's this is money, and
- 29:11Speaker 1: I mean with you guys. You guys aren't scared about
- 29:14Speaker 1: who are you? Who are you? Duke? I would I am?
- 29:19Speaker 1: But they picked them, so I go with them. You are,
- 29:22Speaker 1: We've already put them in. But you said it was
- 29:24Speaker 1: it had to be unanimous. I'm just no, no, no,
- 29:27Speaker 1: that's not true. The unanimous is three of us. When
- 29:31Speaker 1: when UFC McGregor unanimous decisions. I'm in okay, I mean
- 29:35Speaker 1: all right, and then tomorrow our two eliminator picks are
- 29:38Speaker 1: do you remember, no, no, no chance, Gonzaga, connecticutt Yeah, okay, okay,
- 29:44Speaker 1: we just had the days mixed up. If either one
- 29:45Speaker 1: of them, any of those were done eliminated. We just
- 29:49Speaker 1: got to stay alive the longest because once we use them,
- 29:50Speaker 1: we can't use them again. And there's like over one
- 29:52Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars in a pot. Oh my gosh, that's
- 29:54Speaker 1: life changing. So let's go. Are you rooting for Timmy? Yes,
- 29:58Speaker 1: Drew Timmy. Absolutely. I love Drew Timmy. Does he have
- 30:01Speaker 1: the stash going into the tournament? He has to, Okay,
- 30:05Speaker 1: I haven't. I'll watched press conference. That's why. That's why
- 30:07Speaker 1: I asked the question. I saw him recently talking to
- 30:08Speaker 1: press conference. I'm rooting for Drew Timmy. I just have
- 30:11Speaker 1: not rooting for Gonzaga, So I hope he has a
- 30:12Speaker 1: good career, but I hope they get beat early. I
- 30:15Speaker 1: can't take it. You can't take what is Zaga. They
- 30:18Speaker 1: don't play anybody all year, they really don't, but it
- 30:20Speaker 1: feels like a bunch of rich kids, and who cares lose?
- 30:24Speaker 1: Do you don't playbody all year? You talk about good
- 30:26Speaker 1: you are, then you get run. Although they did lose
- 30:29Speaker 1: the game at home this year for the first time,
- 30:30Speaker 1: and like I don't know, one hundred and sixty three years,
- 30:32Speaker 1: I think Ben Franklin's boys were the last time they
- 30:34Speaker 1: lost you because they don't play anybody, they really don't.
- 30:36Speaker 1: It's crazy. Rooting for Timmy, I go, yes, but not Gonzaga.
- 30:41Speaker 1: That's tough because he plays for Gonza. Really torn, what
- 30:44Speaker 1: are you gonna say? No, I was gonna say rooting
- 30:45Speaker 1: for him for the first game at least. Yeah, of
- 30:47Speaker 1: course we got I'm in the deliminator. Yeah, exactly. Coim Away.
- 30:49Speaker 1: You think about Timmy, Yeah, I'll be rooting for him.
- 30:52Speaker 1: If they were a one seed, I would not. But
- 30:54Speaker 1: as a three seed, they feel like a little bit
- 30:57Speaker 1: more of an underdog this year where I want to
- 30:59Speaker 1: see them have some success, and with UCLA being susceptible
- 31:02Speaker 1: to injuries, maybe they will. Next question up A might
- 31:06Speaker 1: have five topics. Aaron Rodgers to the Jets. Do you
- 31:09Speaker 1: like him more in New York? Eddie? No? No, Aaron
- 31:13Speaker 1: Rodgers annoying. I mean, yes, it's funny. I like what
- 31:15Speaker 1: he does messiles with people. But no, when you were
- 31:18Speaker 1: doing the evolution of Aaron Rodgers, I think you missed
- 31:20Speaker 1: a big one. I hate Aaron Rodgers because I hated
- 31:23Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers for so long that No, it doesn't matter
- 31:26Speaker 1: who he plays for. You don't care at all. Nah, No,
- 31:29Speaker 1: you don't think it'd be so cool to see Aaron
- 31:31Speaker 1: Rodgers take a disaster of a team. I don't think
- 31:34Speaker 1: he will. That's where I stand. I don't like Aaron
- 31:38Speaker 1: Rodgers anymore. No, I mean, dude, it's it's one of it.
- 31:40Speaker 1: You're getting older and like, and he complains so much
- 31:43Speaker 1: about it's always never his fault, right, it's never his
- 31:45Speaker 1: fault when the team doesn't do well. So in this case,
- 31:48Speaker 1: you want to go to the Jets, you want to
- 31:49Speaker 1: bring all your friends with you, who are all eighty
- 31:51Speaker 1: years old. Good luck. But you don't like that about
- 31:53Speaker 1: him though, that he's still like looking out for his boys,
- 31:55Speaker 1: Like I think that's pretty cool. What are they trying
- 31:56Speaker 1: to do? Just like live high school forever. He has
- 31:59Speaker 1: people he's comfortable with and he wants them there. People
- 32:02Speaker 1: say the same thing to me when I brought all
- 32:04Speaker 1: my friends here. They were like, yeah, but we evolved,
- 32:06Speaker 1: we got a lot, dude. But they're like, they've never
- 32:08Speaker 1: done they've never done this. Why do you want people
- 32:09Speaker 1: around you They've never done this before, because I want
- 32:11Speaker 1: it makes me better. They may not be the best
- 32:14Speaker 1: at the specific position yet, and I'm not saying they're
- 32:17Speaker 1: gonna get better on the team, but they might not
- 32:19Speaker 1: be the best. But if they make him feel better
- 32:20Speaker 1: performative level or feel comfortable in that facility, of course
- 32:23Speaker 1: you want them around. It helps you overall. Sure I
- 32:27Speaker 1: still hate Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, me too, Kevin. I'm actually
- 32:30Speaker 1: kind of upset about this because I've always Rogers gotten
- 32:33Speaker 1: my mind nerves recently, but I hate the Jets more
- 32:36Speaker 1: than any other team in the NFL. Why the Patriots fan,
- 32:39Speaker 1: I know one's been great. I thought you would like
- 32:41Speaker 1: have like not hates a word that for a team
- 32:44Speaker 1: that beats you. I can't see them and the Giants
- 32:46Speaker 1: both on the same wow level. You just hate New York? Yeah, exactly,
- 32:50Speaker 1: go ahead, So now I gotta hate Aaron Rodgers. Before
- 32:52Speaker 1: I was like, oh, he's kind of entertaining his fun,
- 32:54Speaker 1: and now I'm like, no, I don't like you. I'm
- 32:57Speaker 1: fired up about it him going to New York because
- 33:00Speaker 1: I think they killed the draft this last year. Have
- 33:02Speaker 1: a lot of young talent, but Aaron had a rough
- 33:05Speaker 1: year last year. Maybe it was just the whole situation,
- 33:07Speaker 1: the animosity with Green Bay and whole performed better. I
- 33:12Speaker 1: think he should have gone to an NFC team though
- 33:14Speaker 1: the AFC quarterbacks. The AFC is just getting more and
- 33:17Speaker 1: more stacked. It's gonna be a tough route. Farve played
- 33:20Speaker 1: sixteen years in Green Bay. He started two hundred fifty
- 33:22Speaker 1: three games, won three MVPs and one Super Bowl. He
- 33:26Speaker 1: for multiple seasons was like I'm leaving, I'm leaving, and
- 33:28Speaker 1: then he turned thirty nine and went to the Jets.
- 33:31Speaker 1: He went nine and seven and missed the playoffs. With
- 33:33Speaker 1: the Jets. Now again, he won two hundred fifty three
- 33:36Speaker 1: games over sixteen years. Rogers has played eighteen years, although
- 33:41Speaker 1: the first three were Farve's back up. To be fair,
- 33:44Speaker 1: so well, let's just say fifteen. Wait, so Farve went
- 33:46Speaker 1: to Minnesota. Farv went eventually, Yes afterward, Rodgers played eighteen
- 33:51Speaker 1: years in Green Bay, but fifteen starting, He started two
- 33:54Speaker 1: hundred and twenty three games, won four MVPs, won Super Bowl.
- 33:57Speaker 1: He flirted with leaving the Pack or retiring, and went
- 34:01Speaker 1: to the Jets. He's thirty nine. Wow, I mean the
- 34:04Speaker 1: parallels are hilarious. It's crazy. People are always like Brett
- 34:07Speaker 1: Fas a douche to his other quarterback. And I'll never
- 34:10Speaker 1: be like that. No, Aaron Rogers a douche. Maybe it's
- 34:13Speaker 1: something in the water up there. Maybe because everybody's so
- 34:15Speaker 1: nice in Wisconsin. Yeah, oh, Wisconsin people are awesome. They're
- 34:19Speaker 1: like the best. Yeah, and then they they're producing like
- 34:21Speaker 1: douches that commit from out of state, from California, Yeah, exactly,
- 34:24Speaker 1: or Mississippi. Right, all right? Next up John Morant, possibly
- 34:31Speaker 1: out the whole season. Now they're saying, Mike, we have
- 34:34Speaker 1: some clips for this, right you do, So what do
- 34:37Speaker 1: we have for up? First, as John Morant talking saying
- 34:40Speaker 1: that's not his gun. It wasn't his gun that was
- 34:42Speaker 1: in the club. Go ahead, Well the gun wasn't mid No,
- 34:46Speaker 1: it's not who I am. I don't condone and know
- 34:49Speaker 1: any type of violence, but I'll take you know, full responsibility,
- 34:53Speaker 1: you know from my actions. And the second clip is
- 34:56Speaker 1: a reporter, which one doesn't Mike Mark Spears where he
- 34:58Speaker 1: was saying that he doesn't ex to go back whole
- 35:00Speaker 1: year like he suspended, like maybe it's like it's like
- 35:02Speaker 1: the seven or eight games. But he's like, I don't
- 35:04Speaker 1: know if he's coming back the whole year. I think
- 35:06Speaker 1: it's in his lifestands, to be honest, man, like, I
- 35:09Speaker 1: think there's a lot going on, you know. My my
- 35:11Speaker 1: prayers to him, man, that he figures it out. There's
- 35:14Speaker 1: things I'm hearing that i'd rather probably not say. And
- 35:18Speaker 1: Memphis is a two tied for two right now. Man,
- 35:21Speaker 1: if he's not back, I don't even know they win.
- 35:24Speaker 1: They win a game, are serious? Excuse me? In the playoffs,
- 35:27Speaker 1: I think they're a first round out. So first and foremost,
- 35:31Speaker 1: John Marands gotta get his life straight. I don't know
- 35:33Speaker 1: if he feels like he really needs to get his
- 35:34Speaker 1: life straight or if he's like, oh, man, yeah, we
- 35:38Speaker 1: gotta do this crap. Either way, he's got to do
- 35:40Speaker 1: that crap. But I feel like if he doesn't really
- 35:43Speaker 1: feel it, those really close to him are going to
- 35:44Speaker 1: know it, even close to him professionally, and they're not
- 35:46Speaker 1: gonna let him back in. So if Memphis is not
- 35:50Speaker 1: with John Morand there, they're gonna lose first round to
- 35:54Speaker 1: whomember the seven is. If they're the two, they'll probably
- 35:57Speaker 1: be the three. As a matter of fact, they'll probably
- 36:00Speaker 1: fall Um, yeah, I mean, gosh, that's just a bad
- 36:05Speaker 1: situation all around. Yeah, hope the best for him and
- 36:08Speaker 1: that he gets it together. Yeah. They could absolutely go
- 36:12Speaker 1: out in the first round without him. And even if
- 36:14Speaker 1: he comes back, is this stuff gonna plague his game
- 36:17Speaker 1: at all? It's hard not to be thinking about it.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Who knows. Maybe when he's out there on the court, Um,
- 36:23Speaker 1: he'll be fine. But I'd love to see him back
- 36:25Speaker 1: out there because he's such a fun player to watch.
- 36:28Speaker 1: But just hope he gets this off the court stuff fixed.
- 36:30Speaker 1: What plagued your game? Coleman um? Being too one dimensional?
- 36:35Speaker 1: Never just being able to shoot it, never girls or
- 36:38Speaker 1: like life. Look, no, I don't really think I thought
- 36:42Speaker 1: I was excited to play on the court. Didn't wasn't
- 36:44Speaker 1: thinking about other things? Could you play defense? Not? Well? No,
- 36:49Speaker 1: love the honest Yeah, why was it? Because you probably could?
- 36:53Speaker 1: But you know, if you put that much energy into defense,
- 36:55Speaker 1: you wouldn't have the legs or they to know. So
- 36:58Speaker 1: coaches always say, or I would always hear coaches saying
- 37:01Speaker 1: defense is eighty percent about effort. Put yourself in my
- 37:04Speaker 1: unathletic body and try to play defense. I just couldn't
- 37:07Speaker 1: move laterally quick enough, wasn't strong enough to be a
- 37:11Speaker 1: good defender. Sounds like an excuse to me? What about
- 37:13Speaker 1: you boys? Yeah? Same as a coach, I'm like, what
- 37:15Speaker 1: are you talking about? Let's get to work exactly. Shut up?
- 37:18Speaker 1: Come on, shut up, kid man. What are you? Some
- 37:20Speaker 1: kind of loser? Kick kicked out of your hotel room
- 37:22Speaker 1: and you should be working, loser, That's what I would
- 37:24Speaker 1: say to you. I was that kid, So John Merant
- 37:27Speaker 1: possibly out. Let's roll over to number four, the Calcutta,
- 37:30Speaker 1: which we had last night where everybody got in and
- 37:33Speaker 1: not everybody, well, they got in the room to bid sain.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Kevin was a no show. Oh that's right, Kevin didn't
- 37:38Speaker 1: show up. What a freaking loser. I forgot about that.
- 37:41Speaker 1: You did not show up. Thanks, Eddie. You were the
- 37:43Speaker 1: one that was like the most vocal and passionate about fun.
- 37:46Speaker 1: It was going to be guys, it's once a year.
- 37:49Speaker 1: We waited for you. What happened? Seven minutes? You go drinking.
- 37:51Speaker 1: I was ready, I was excited. I had no idea.
- 37:54Speaker 1: It hit me yesterday afternoon I had to go to
- 37:57Speaker 1: the dinner, the New Faces dinner. You didn't have to.
- 38:00Speaker 1: And also you could Yeah, why did you have to
- 38:03Speaker 1: because there was a ticket that was bought for me.
- 38:05Speaker 1: The secondly, there are people that were doing work things
- 38:09Speaker 1: and they just did it on their phone. That's true,
- 38:11Speaker 1: you have to be on that zoom. You didn't care enough. Oh,
- 38:15Speaker 1: I definitely cared to read. Got in? Did you read? Yeah?
- 38:19Speaker 1: Read spent way more money than I know. We may
- 38:21Speaker 1: cause I pay him. Yeah that was crazy. Spend all
- 38:23Speaker 1: this money. Oh my god, I'm like Reading knows this
- 38:25Speaker 1: is real money, right, Like, yeah, Read, how do you feel?
- 38:28Speaker 1: I feel good? Yeah? We got Arizona coming up today.
- 38:33Speaker 1: For how much you spent on Arizona? Okay, my roommate
- 38:37Speaker 1: and I are splitting it one seventy so you guys
- 38:40Speaker 1: been one seventy in Arizona. Yeah, that's the only team
- 38:42Speaker 1: you have. Michigan State. I thought I had Michigan State. Wait,
- 38:46Speaker 1: maybe I don't have Michigan Wait, let me see you have?
- 38:47Speaker 1: You have Michigan State? Who do I have? Man? I
- 38:50Speaker 1: don't have one to have another state? No, the other
- 38:52Speaker 1: one was like a thirty dollar thing. So I can't
- 38:55Speaker 1: sight check your phone. So Read hopped in. Coleman was
- 38:58Speaker 1: trying to bid. Coleman never got a team I didn't know.
- 39:01Speaker 1: I hated that get out of my financial comfort. Well,
- 39:03Speaker 1: I got Michigan Stay for thirty six dollars. Yeah, so
- 39:06Speaker 1: that was when I hopped on late. I was having
- 39:09Speaker 1: to do a zoom just before. So yeah, I missed
- 39:12Speaker 1: the couple of the first few teams that popped up.
- 39:15Speaker 1: So I got Michigan Stay for thirty six bucks. Eddie,
- 39:17Speaker 1: who'd you get? That's a steal. I got Iowa State
- 39:20Speaker 1: for I think seventy dollars, which was that was my
- 39:23Speaker 1: most expensive and then I got North Carolina State for
- 39:26Speaker 1: thirty nine bucks. You guys are idiots for sleeping on
- 39:29Speaker 1: North Carolina State. I just couldn't throw money at other
- 39:31Speaker 1: other teams. Yeah, I went in. I have six teams,
- 39:35Speaker 1: and so I got Arkansas for seventy five bucks. But
- 39:38Speaker 1: they only drove the price up to because they knew
- 39:39Speaker 1: I would been on. I was gonna say, it's pissing
- 39:41Speaker 1: me off. Oh, but he kept saying, I'm not gonna
- 39:43Speaker 1: bid on this. Guys, just so you know, everyone just
- 39:45Speaker 1: started bidding. They kept going. I got Arkansas. So what
- 39:47Speaker 1: happens is you win? I think if you win the
- 39:49Speaker 1: first round, your team makes like forty bucks. Then you
- 39:51Speaker 1: win the second round, your teammates like ninety bucks. Whatever
- 39:54Speaker 1: the number is, and if you want it all. Last
- 39:56Speaker 1: year I think it was eleven hundred. Oh, I think
- 39:59Speaker 1: it was seven one hundred to get the championship something
- 40:01Speaker 1: like that. Right, it depends how much money is overall
- 40:04Speaker 1: in the pot, and then it's done by percentages. I
- 40:06Speaker 1: got Arkansas for seventy five bucks, Michigan State for thirty
- 40:08Speaker 1: six dollars. That's a steal. I mean, my most money
- 40:12Speaker 1: was it two. I have at one in a two,
- 40:15Speaker 1: my most money was it two. It's Texas at two
- 40:19Speaker 1: fifty six. I mean we weren't playing with a lot
- 40:21Speaker 1: of Texas people, a lot of homies. I got Produmers
- 40:24Speaker 1: as a one for less than that, so we'll see
- 40:27Speaker 1: what's up. I did get Virginia for sixty four dollars,
- 40:31Speaker 1: which I thought was pretty cheap considering they were a
- 40:32Speaker 1: four seed. So that's what's up. Calcutta happened Coleman. It
- 40:37Speaker 1: was knocked on the door. We wouldn't let him in. Yeah,
- 40:40Speaker 1: and Kevin didn't even show up to the party. He
- 40:42Speaker 1: was invited. When I has to do with money, I
- 40:44Speaker 1: needed to make sure I was focused and I saw
- 40:46Speaker 1: what was going on. I didn't want to just throw
- 40:47Speaker 1: out a hundred bucks here and there. He did in
- 40:49Speaker 1: thirty six bucks. Makes can say sixty four bucks. I'll
- 40:51Speaker 1: get thirty seven North Carolina State dude for thirty don't.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I don't want feel read paid like ten thousand four?
- 40:57Speaker 1: Team an even know? Yeah, I got a sis read
- 40:59Speaker 1: bought it in. Team you got Missouri? Yes, Missouri. How'd
- 41:03Speaker 1: you feel afterward? When it was over, We're like, why
- 41:04Speaker 1: do not spend all that money? Yeah? Pretty much? So, yeah,
- 41:07Speaker 1: you get in the heat of it, everybody's bidding. Yeah,
- 41:09Speaker 1: I'm excited, though, you know, it's fun. It is fun.
- 41:11Speaker 1: So that's what's up on that. Good luck everybody. I
- 41:13Speaker 1: hope you win lots of money, except if you're playing
- 41:16Speaker 1: my teams, because my teams are Arkansas, Michigan State, TCU, Virginia, Texas,
- 41:20Speaker 1: and Purdue. About six of the sixty four final Cowboys
- 41:25Speaker 1: released Zeke. We mentioned that earlier Dallas Cowboys cut Zeke.
- 41:30Speaker 1: He's only twenty seven. He feels like he's forty. He
- 41:34Speaker 1: was set to count sixteen point seven million bucks against
- 41:36Speaker 1: the salary cap, so they're gonna have that money. You know,
- 41:41Speaker 1: they weren't gonna tag him. He's a running back. They're
- 41:45Speaker 1: so replaceable, it seems. And Zeke really he didn't catch
- 41:48Speaker 1: the ball. The only other thing he did really was
- 41:50Speaker 1: block well from the backfield. And again, if you're a
- 41:53Speaker 1: goal line short distance back and you block well, they
- 41:55Speaker 1: got like forty two other guys there. Yeah, and the
- 41:57Speaker 1: fact he was getting paid so much, maybe a little
- 41:59Speaker 1: surprised restructures deal if you wanted to stay in Dallas
- 42:02Speaker 1: and take lower money. Well, I thought they were going
- 42:03Speaker 1: to release them and then restructure it, you know, and
- 42:05Speaker 1: then bring them back. But that didn't happen. I think
- 42:07Speaker 1: the Bucks are looking into getting him. Hi. Then Baker Mayfield, Yeah,
- 42:11Speaker 1: well I look at that team, dude. I spend some
- 42:14Speaker 1: time on social media yesterday because Dallas Cowboys have like
- 42:17Speaker 1: a montage of Zeke stuff and got a little emotional
- 42:20Speaker 1: watching that. And then someone then someone posted it it
- 42:24Speaker 1: said Zeke's last play as a Dallas Cowboy, and then
- 42:26Speaker 1: it was the dumb trick play where he was snapper.
- 42:29Speaker 1: That wasn't his fault. He got crush. Yeah, he got crush.
- 42:32Speaker 1: That's just rude. Got his fault, all right, Those are
- 42:35Speaker 1: the five I wanted to get to you Ready for

- 43:38Speaker 1: we have here, Kevin. How did you get coach Greenberg here?
- 43:41Speaker 1: So the same pr lady from ESPN that I talked
- 43:43Speaker 1: to to get Lenardi on here. I found out she
- 43:45Speaker 1: does it for all their main guys. So I just
- 43:47Speaker 1: reach out to her again and she's like, yeah, let's
- 43:49Speaker 1: set it up. And she was cool. She's awesome. I mean,
- 43:51Speaker 1: her name is Amy. Not gonna don't say don't say
- 43:53Speaker 1: too much because we don't want by Yeah he said, Jamie, Yeah,
- 43:57Speaker 1: Jamie yeah, Jamie. Here he is, by the way, two
- 44:01Speaker 1: time Coach of the Year. I didn't know that that
- 44:05Speaker 1: is one time. Now I know he's two times. Here
- 44:08Speaker 1: he is coach Seth Greenberg, Hey, Seth, good to see you.
- 44:11Speaker 1: What's going on? Man? How you doing? That's that's a
- 44:13Speaker 1: good shot right there in front of the desk right there. Now,
- 44:15Speaker 1: that's a big time that's a lot of dome showing
- 44:17Speaker 1: right there. Hey, that's a good that's a pretty head.
- 44:19Speaker 1: That's your head set. We did it for you a
- 44:21Speaker 1: lot of that's a lot of dome right there. Hey, Seth,
- 44:24Speaker 1: First of all, massive fan. Just love what you bring
- 44:27Speaker 1: to especially college basketball. And I saw your one. I
- 44:30Speaker 1: appreciate it. Well. Hey one strong though, one strong, I
- 44:35Speaker 1: saw you picked Alabama. And the debate on this show
- 44:37Speaker 1: for a while has been is Alabama more than a
- 44:39Speaker 1: team that if they're off shooting threes? Can they still
- 44:43Speaker 1: win big games? What are your thoughts on that? Yeah?
- 44:47Speaker 1: I do, because I think it can go with their defense.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Their third in the country defensive efficiency. What does that mean?
- 44:52Speaker 1: I mean that sounds like just a number, but the
- 44:53Speaker 1: Beaches they run you off the three point line and
- 44:55Speaker 1: they run they protected front of the rip. So then
- 44:58Speaker 1: one of the best defensive teams in the country. They
- 45:00Speaker 1: got sized left athleticism, they got good individual defenders, and
- 45:03Speaker 1: their defensive philosophy is really good. So they don't have
- 45:07Speaker 1: to make threes. What they got to do is get stops,
- 45:09Speaker 1: so that get neigbles them to get out of transition,
- 45:11Speaker 1: pushed the ball and everyone gets so caught up with
- 45:14Speaker 1: what they do offensive because of they're spacing, they get layups,
- 45:18Speaker 1: threes and free throws. They can get you in foul
- 45:22Speaker 1: trouble by their aggressive this offensively. Now, the one question
- 45:25Speaker 1: is that Brandon Miller gets in foul trouble. How does
- 45:27Speaker 1: that pack their team because he's been so good late games.
- 45:30Speaker 1: But defense leads to me what makes them so special?
- 45:35Speaker 1: Foul trouble is interesting, especially now these games matter, Like
- 45:38Speaker 1: if you lose, you're done. Is there anything to you
- 45:41Speaker 1: being a coach? You being extra loving to a ref
- 45:45Speaker 1: and it actually would affect how they're calling a game. Oh.
- 45:47Speaker 1: I used to tell refs all the time when they
- 45:49Speaker 1: were screwing me, I'd get really glad they're getting to
- 45:51Speaker 1: team me up, and I go, you know, down deep,
- 45:52Speaker 1: you love me. I worked with a couple of guys.
- 45:58Speaker 1: The other guys they whack me and send me on
- 46:00Speaker 1: my way. But you know, here's the thing in the tournament,
- 46:04Speaker 1: the refs are trying to advance as well. See the
- 46:07Speaker 1: first two rounds, you've got to you're part of a
- 46:09Speaker 1: crew that screws up the first two rounds. You're not
- 46:12Speaker 1: advanced into the second weekend. So I mean like the
- 46:15Speaker 1: refs are under a microscope as well. Now after the
- 46:18Speaker 1: first two rounds, meet personally. That's how I believe. I
- 46:22Speaker 1: think that the head of officials they know who they're
- 46:25Speaker 1: advanced to the final four. I mean they pretty much
- 46:27Speaker 1: have a feeling for who they advanced the final four.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Here's the thing that you have to worry about with officials.
- 46:32Speaker 1: There's two things. One like, say the Big twelve officials
- 46:36Speaker 1: all right, Big Twelve, they just beat the crap out
- 46:38Speaker 1: of each other all season long, all right, they redefine
- 46:40Speaker 1: a foul. Basically, the officials officiated advantage disadvantage and send
- 46:44Speaker 1: a letter of the law. You're trying to advance in
- 46:47Speaker 1: the incident by tournament, you can't. You can't officiate advantage disadvantage.
- 46:51Speaker 1: You got it. You got officiated the way it's supposed
- 46:53Speaker 1: to be, which I think is going to affect some
- 46:56Speaker 1: of the Big twelve teams. The other thing is that
- 46:59Speaker 1: like say you had a ref like I coaching an
- 47:02Speaker 1: acc so you know you have certain guys a whole bunch.
- 47:05Speaker 1: If you've had an issue with a guy, you know,
- 47:08Speaker 1: officials are human also. I used to not think that,
- 47:10Speaker 1: but now I do. Uh there there and it's just
- 47:14Speaker 1: human nature. Like, oh Man Greenberg, he is a pain
- 47:16Speaker 1: in the ass, and does that come into play? It might,
- 47:21Speaker 1: it might. I mean, it's just human nature. I mean, like,
- 47:25Speaker 1: like everybody, here's the deal. You got a whole bunch
- 47:28Speaker 1: of people in the room. A third of the people
- 47:30Speaker 1: love you, a third of people are sitting on a fence,
- 47:33Speaker 1: and a third of people yeah all right, Uh are
- 47:38Speaker 1: you gonna spend any time in that third group? Yeah? No,
- 47:42Speaker 1: Well those officials. Third of officials you have great relationship,
- 47:45Speaker 1: and third of them are like, you know, they're neutral.
- 47:49Speaker 1: And it's not a third, it's one or two guys
- 47:51Speaker 1: that you know, you go like, you just don't connect,
- 47:55Speaker 1: you know, whether it's how they officiate their actum, maybe
- 47:59Speaker 1: they made a call the game. It's screwed you, and
- 48:02Speaker 1: you know it's hard to let go. I remember when
- 48:04Speaker 1: I was at South Florida, we were playing the Conference
- 48:06Speaker 1: Ussett Tournament and I won't met you officials name, and
- 48:09Speaker 1: he absolutely just absolutely screwed me in the game. And
- 48:14Speaker 1: we have Cincinnati in the first round of the ACE
- 48:16Speaker 1: the Americ Currents Tournament. Bobby Huggins, that was Kenyan Martin,
- 48:20Speaker 1: that was that great team and I saw the officials
- 48:24Speaker 1: list when I was in a locker room, which I
- 48:25Speaker 1: should never looked at. So first thing I looked, and
- 48:28Speaker 1: I see the list, and I go and I before
- 48:34Speaker 1: the first foul was called, I was like, I couldn't
- 48:36Speaker 1: see straight and h lack of maturity on my I
- 48:40Speaker 1: got better with that, but uh, but yeah, it's just
- 48:43Speaker 1: human nature, you know. I mean, not everyone's gonna love it.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Not everyone's gonna gonna like it. Not everyone's gonna hate it.
- 48:49Speaker 1: It's just it's life. I was looking at your final
- 48:52Speaker 1: four in your championship game picks, and you have Alabama
- 48:54Speaker 1: over Texas, and I didn't want to talk about Texas
- 48:57Speaker 1: with you specifically because with Beard well gone now he's
- 49:01Speaker 1: at all miss But you know, Texas has a new
- 49:04Speaker 1: head coach at least, I mean it's not it doesn't
- 49:06Speaker 1: even feel like, you know, he's he was just a
- 49:08Speaker 1: fill in guy anymore, Like it feels like that's the guy.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Do you think that Beard has set this program up
- 49:14Speaker 1: to win? Or do you think the Texas has kind
- 49:16Speaker 1: of created a new culture after Beard for years to come.
- 49:19Speaker 1: How do you see this team when whenever it gets crushed?
- 49:21Speaker 1: I'm here in the tournament. That's a great question. First
- 49:23Speaker 1: of all, I think that Chris did set the culture
- 49:25Speaker 1: in the identity of this program. I think he did
- 49:27Speaker 1: a really good job. Obviously horrific what has happened, But
- 49:31Speaker 1: in terms of the culture, I spent two days at
- 49:33Speaker 1: Texas every year in the last three years. Chris's a friend,
- 49:38Speaker 1: Rodney's a friend, and so I used to go watch
- 49:40Speaker 1: the practice a couple of days, talk about their team,
- 49:42Speaker 1: and talk to their team some And you know, first
- 49:47Speaker 1: of all, we got six seniors. They've got an incredible
- 49:50Speaker 1: locker room. When I say incredible, an incredible locker room.
- 49:54Speaker 1: They started to practice arms locked, walking to court, saying together.
- 49:58Speaker 1: It's not just empty words. They in it. So they
- 50:01Speaker 1: were positioned even with what happened with coach Beard, they
- 50:05Speaker 1: were a positioned to remain strong because that locker room
- 50:09Speaker 1: and that culture, and that identity and that togetherness and
- 50:14Speaker 1: that investment. I always say that you are your habits. Well,
- 50:17Speaker 1: their habits were so strong that they were going to
- 50:20Speaker 1: be able to deal with it. And some of those
- 50:23Speaker 1: guys got knocked back because he had Chris had a
- 50:26Speaker 1: really close relationship with him. But but they came together.
- 50:32Speaker 1: So I think that Rodney has done a great job.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Now will Dell cont to give him the job? That's
- 50:36Speaker 1: a good question. You know, he's used to home run hires.
- 50:40Speaker 1: This guy has done a great job. Now they're gonna
- 50:42Speaker 1: have to go recruit some dudes. You know. I would
- 50:44Speaker 1: think Ella Mitchell would stick around, and I think TiO
- 50:47Speaker 1: Arris would stick around. But they're gonna have to get
- 50:49Speaker 1: some guys. But Rodney Terry has done a great job.
- 50:51Speaker 1: Bob Down, his assistant, say, terrific coach. I'm hoping he
- 50:55Speaker 1: gets a head coaching job this year. But I think
- 50:58Speaker 1: they're built for the future. Their facilities great, There's a
- 51:01Speaker 1: good vibe about their team right now. Man. They play hard,
- 51:04Speaker 1: they play hard, and again, the six seniors makes a difference. Listen,
- 51:09Speaker 1: I'm a big Arkansas guy, and we have you know,
- 51:11Speaker 1: we got three five star freshmen and it's just wild
- 51:13Speaker 1: to watch the inconsistency, although the massive and the crazy
- 51:16Speaker 1: talent at times. But there is a difference in an
- 51:19Speaker 1: eighteen nineteen year old and a twenty one year old,
- 51:20Speaker 1: A massive difference. Would you agree, Oh? Man, I think
- 51:22Speaker 1: it's also a massive difference when you have nineteen year
- 51:25Speaker 1: olds that are one and done dudes, and they don't
- 51:27Speaker 1: have their agenda might be different than the team's agenda,
- 51:29Speaker 1: and you know, I think that's the hardest thing. I'm
- 51:32Speaker 1: a huge after Black fan. I think that dude is
- 51:34Speaker 1: a flat hooper. Might be Shay Gil just Alexander one point. Oh,
- 51:37Speaker 1: he's got to shoot it a little bit better. Nick Smith.
- 51:40Speaker 1: The whole deal with Nick Smith this season was a
- 51:42Speaker 1: little weird to me. Guy leaves the team for like
- 51:44Speaker 1: three to four weeks then comes back. I'm a big
- 51:47Speaker 1: deal with Davis fan. Obviously, Ricky Counsel has been great.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Losing the Biggs obviously hurt a little bit. Mcai Mitchell
- 51:54Speaker 1: has got to play well. But yeah, sure, I mean, like,
- 51:57Speaker 1: here's this is the first Sensiti Bay Tournament. They're one game,
- 51:59Speaker 1: boy from going and get their workout Guru and getting
- 52:02Speaker 1: ready for the NBA Draft. That's what those guys are.
- 52:05Speaker 1: So if they get punched in the face, are they
- 52:08Speaker 1: going to fight through that? Are they gonna have the
- 52:10Speaker 1: toughness to grind it out so that they can, you know,
- 52:13Speaker 1: make the tough plays they need to make to win
- 52:16Speaker 1: that game. I like it. I like mo Illinois of
- 52:19Speaker 1: the backcourt. I'm that backcourt's a joke. My only concern
- 52:25Speaker 1: being in Arkansas fan. You understand this, like since Nick
- 52:29Speaker 1: Smith has been back, Diva Davis has not been as
- 52:32Speaker 1: good and like to me in a lot of ways,
- 52:37Speaker 1: Divo and Ricky Counsel are the heart and soul of
- 52:40Speaker 1: that team, and the next level talent is hat to
- 52:45Speaker 1: be Black and Nick Smith and finding a way to
- 52:49Speaker 1: get those guys together and then, as you know, must
- 52:52Speaker 1: be back to back lead eight runs. You know, the
- 52:55Speaker 1: big question is connect team have the grit defensively that
- 52:58Speaker 1: those teams had made it to the lead eight. I
- 53:01Speaker 1: think that's going to be the question for them. I
- 53:02Speaker 1: do like him. I would watch must Practice this past
- 53:06Speaker 1: year as well, and man, he runs a good practice.
- 53:09Speaker 1: You know, the must Bus is real. He's a little nutty,
- 53:13Speaker 1: but the Musbus is real. What about Duke? You know
- 53:16Speaker 1: here they come late. I mean, nobody's got more momentum
- 53:19Speaker 1: than Duke. Right now, they've caught fire. Is that a
- 53:21Speaker 1: fire that's big enough to roll them through a few rounds? Yeah?
- 53:24Speaker 1: I got him in the final four. I think it's
- 53:26Speaker 1: not just catching fire. They're eighteen and one with the
- 53:28Speaker 1: full lineup. More importantly, I've been really impressed with John
- 53:32Speaker 1: Shar's patients. You know, the started season, Whitehead was hurt,
- 53:35Speaker 1: Lively was hurt. Tyrus Proctor just got there when schools started.
- 53:41Speaker 1: They took up punches, a couple of punches in the face.
- 53:43Speaker 1: I mean, and you know he old John shared there
- 53:46Speaker 1: was continue to coach. He blocked out the static, figured
- 53:50Speaker 1: out his team. Doc has to buy into rolls, trust
- 53:53Speaker 1: each other, the fine rolls come up with the substitution pattern.
- 53:58Speaker 1: You got grander standing, you got ran young coming off
- 54:01Speaker 1: the bench. Three quiet advised into a six man role,
- 54:03Speaker 1: is still getting minutes, knockdown jumpers, put the ball in
- 54:06Speaker 1: Tyris Practice's hands, played roach off the ball. And then
- 54:09Speaker 1: the development of Derek Liiveley has really been impressive. I
- 54:12Speaker 1: mean really impressive. I mean, now they've got to rim
- 54:14Speaker 1: protect or, a rim runner, a short, a long roller.
- 54:18Speaker 1: In terms of coming off the ball, screen acts as
- 54:20Speaker 1: they run. I think they're for real. I think they're
- 54:23Speaker 1: really really good. And he are so good defensively for
- 54:26Speaker 1: a young team. A couple of injury questions would Jayalen
- 54:29Speaker 1: Clark going down to obviously both big news at UCLA
- 54:33Speaker 1: and not so much about points, but just defensively. I mean,
- 54:36Speaker 1: the guy was a terror. What's their ceiling in your
- 54:38Speaker 1: mind now that he's gone. I think the lead eight.
- 54:41Speaker 1: The other question is that then Bona. You know, he
- 54:43Speaker 1: went out in the Pack twelve championship game. I was
- 54:46Speaker 1: really impressed how UCLA played without Jayleen Clark. I'm a
- 54:49Speaker 1: big Jail and Clark fan. I mix a good friend.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I called one of their Stanford game and it's funny.
- 54:55Speaker 1: I mean, Jaalen Clark is like one to mix old
- 54:58Speaker 1: Cincinnati guys like. He's just flying all over the place.
- 55:01Speaker 1: He's getting reflections, he's getting rebounds. Get a post up
- 55:04Speaker 1: or knock down to three, you're gonna miss him. David Singleton,
- 55:08Speaker 1: uh is a huge piece to have to get to
- 55:10Speaker 1: slide in there a mere balley. Obviously, he's played well
- 55:12Speaker 1: in the Pactrol tournament. Himie hawkis is a bad dude.
- 55:16Speaker 1: That's the only way to describe him. He is a
- 55:18Speaker 1: bad man. And Tiger Campbell is a great closer. If
- 55:22Speaker 1: Bone is fine, I've gotten going to the Elite eight
- 55:25Speaker 1: and losing to Yukon. I watched the entire Houston and
- 55:28Speaker 1: this game mostly probably, I mean probably because right before
- 55:31Speaker 1: the selection show That's probably why I cut almost all
- 55:34Speaker 1: of that game with Stasser not being in the game.
- 55:36Speaker 1: We saw miphis pull that out and win that game
- 55:38Speaker 1: and win that that tournament. But if he's not one
- 55:40Speaker 1: hundred percent, does Houston have to make more changes to
- 55:43Speaker 1: make a deep run. Well, first of all, Bobby, you're
- 55:45Speaker 1: supposed to turn that game off and watch us on ESPN. Yeah, yeah,
- 55:49Speaker 1: I said, the only reason I was watching. But here
- 55:51Speaker 1: you coach exactly Carbell, come on now and you want
- 55:53Speaker 1: real analysis or not. I look at this Houston team.
- 55:58Speaker 1: I look at him like they're backcourt, being Baylor's backcourt
- 56:01Speaker 1: that won the national championship. If Sasser's healthy and he's
- 56:05Speaker 1: Davion Mitchell, remember if you remember those big plays Mitchell
- 56:07Speaker 1: made at the end of games Baylor's route for national championship.
- 56:11Speaker 1: He's that good and he was healthy and he was
- 56:13Speaker 1: playing great. Now if he can't play to one hundred percent,
- 56:18Speaker 1: that's a concern. Shed's good, Traymont Mac is good, Juris
- 56:21Speaker 1: Walker is good, and Francis I mean they're good. Man.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Look they win with their identity. But you can't lose
- 56:29Speaker 1: a dude like that. And that's the guy that has
- 56:31Speaker 1: the ball at the end of the game. That makes
- 56:33Speaker 1: a play to win. And that's just the way it is.
- 56:36Speaker 1: You're going to play in a close game. You saw
- 56:38Speaker 1: what happened in Memphis, Memphis playing well. I mean, Kedrick
- 56:41Speaker 1: Davis is a is a guy that I call him
- 56:44Speaker 1: a ball guard. He's a scoring point guard. And DeAndre
- 56:46Speaker 1: Williams is tough matchup. But yeah, if Sasser doesn't play,
- 56:51Speaker 1: I don't see Euston advancing. Last question for you, do
- 56:54Speaker 1: you get into brackets against people? And have you ever lost? Oh? Shoot,
- 56:58Speaker 1: If I have all the answers, I'd be in Vegas.
- 57:03Speaker 1: I would just shoot. If all of a sudden s
- 57:06Speaker 1: Greenberg shows up in my bracket group, I'm like, God,
- 57:08Speaker 1: dang man, how do you get in here? That's what
- 57:11Speaker 1: I would feel like. Coach. Well, I got a question,
- 57:12Speaker 1: where is your bracket groups? I mean, you could join
- 57:15Speaker 1: the ESPN bracket marathon and joined the college game being
- 57:19Speaker 1: go a head to head with me, that is yeah,
- 57:21Speaker 1: and that's where I am. ESPN has the best bracket
- 57:24Speaker 1: by the way. As far as functionality, absolutely because a
- 57:28Speaker 1: lot of people like dumb dumbs can do it. Not you, coach,
- 57:34Speaker 1: But in general, like when and I mean dumb dumbs
- 57:36Speaker 1: just in sports. Like my wife does not follow college
- 57:38Speaker 1: basketball other than Oklahoma and a few Big twelve teams. However,
- 57:42Speaker 1: she's like, I'm all in and ESPN's not paying me
- 57:45Speaker 1: to say this. It's the best as far as the
- 57:48Speaker 1: bracket and how the functionality even for dumb dumbs and
- 57:52Speaker 1: smart smarts. If you ask, oh, yeah, they've got a
- 57:54Speaker 1: dance coach. Thank you for your time. We really appreciate it,
- 57:57Speaker 1: and thank you. Appreciate it and enjoyed big time of
- 57:59Speaker 1: the year for you, and so we appreciate the time.
- 58:01Speaker 1: There he is. Follow them at Sey again, Christian, let's go,
- 58:05Speaker 1: let's go. Who's your final four? You ask me all
- 58:07Speaker 1: these questions. Yeah, but that's my job. My job is
- 58:10Speaker 1: to ask the questions. So I picked Alabama. I listen,
- 58:13Speaker 1: I watched Alabama all season long. I'm a big SEC guy.
- 58:15Speaker 1: What it didn't matter who it is, I'll watch it. So, um,
- 58:18Speaker 1: I picked Alabama and I have Texas in there as well. Um.
- 58:22Speaker 1: You know you know who I like and I've struggled.
- 58:25Speaker 1: I like. I think TCU is a strong six. Eddie Lampkin,
- 58:29Speaker 1: No Eddie Lampkin, No Eddie Lampkin. I'm still rolling with
- 58:32Speaker 1: them as a six. I feel like they can win
- 58:34Speaker 1: a couple of games. I don't have my final four.
- 58:35Speaker 1: I think Michigan State can be a you know, a
- 58:38Speaker 1: threat as well, and nobody's really given them kind of
- 58:41Speaker 1: their their early flowers. How do you feel at Michigan State.
- 58:44Speaker 1: I like him, I like the backcourt. Tom's a dear friend.
- 58:46Speaker 1: I may not have, you know, Tyson Walker is a
- 58:49Speaker 1: good closer. Aj Hogard when he's on, he's getting into
- 58:52Speaker 1: lane joy houses, shooting it at a high level. Malie
- 58:56Speaker 1: calls healthy, which is important. Uh. I like them guard
- 59:00Speaker 1: in a way most of Thom's teams have guarded. But
- 59:03Speaker 1: I do like their backcard they if they guard. Speaking
- 59:06Speaker 1: of Tom last week, he said they were just going
- 59:07Speaker 1: to work on defense this week, which I know that's
- 59:10Speaker 1: not exactly what's going to happen, but they've got they've
- 59:13Speaker 1: got a guard because they've been traded baskets with people,
- 59:16Speaker 1: which is so out of his character. Arkansas win the
- 59:18Speaker 1: National Championship though, and now I's have to say the
- 59:20Speaker 1: other stuff first, just so people know I'm not crazy.
- 59:22Speaker 1: But then I go, let's be honest. Arkansas win at
- 59:24Speaker 1: all so, yeah, there we go, coach Arkansas and win
- 59:26Speaker 1: your championship. When that happens, you feel fred, Here we go.
- 59:29Speaker 1: That's it. Hey, you're great, Thank you, coach, have a
- 59:32Speaker 1: great day. Thanks man, I appreciate you having me. You
- 59:34Speaker 1: guys can follow at Seth on Hoops. There is a
- 59:37Speaker 1: great coach, Seth Greenberg. All right, thanks to coach for
- 59:41Speaker 1: being on. Let's go around the room. Final thoughts everybody,
- 59:44Speaker 1: and it's a big day for us. Your final thought.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Last night, I was watching um Fairly Dixon. I think
- 59:50Speaker 1: they won their playing their playing game to end of
- 59:53Speaker 1: the tournament. That's like an old singer from the eighteen sixties,
- 59:55Speaker 1: Fairly Dixon, Fairly performing the town Square tonight. Well, the
- 59:59Speaker 1: head coach, he goes in the locker room and giving
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: him the whole postgame speech, and there's cameras in there.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Did you watch this? Yes, I can't believe, he said.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: He said. The more I watched Perdue, the more I
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: think we can beat him. Oh my god, that's crazy.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I'm like, dude, everyone's watching. You must not have cameras
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: around him a whole lot. Probably not, because I saw
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: the clip two and I was like that guy bold
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: brazen to either love it or think it's the dumbest
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: move ever, depending one. But but then you know, I'm
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: just watching. I believed him a little bit. I'm like, hey,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: should I rethink this bracket? If you fair Dion to
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: be perdue on Friday? Man, there's a bunch of money
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: that happened about him, two und fifty bucks. But yes,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: I thought that was fun. Either he knows what he's
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: doing and this is a motivational tactic, or he had
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: no idea what he was doing and didn't know the
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: cameras were in there. Yeah, I'm not sure I would
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: think you'd be the first one, though, honestly, yeah I would.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: I would just think it'd be the first one. Kevin.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Mine is the myth of the salary cap in the NFL.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I just don't understand it. I'll never understand it. The
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Patriots safety Devin mccordy retired and then they signed him
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: to a one year deal to clear five million in
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: cap space. I don't know how that understand or bones
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: probably understands. Well. I'll play a lot of Madden, Yeah,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: so you can if listen. I don't know, I don't
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: know how this deal works. But I'm thinkingn guess because
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna be wrong, but I'm madden what I would do.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: This is why you understand if I owe them a
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: bunch of money bait, like because of a guarantee or
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: when you're designing bonus, you can actually restructure and the
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: signing bonus you've give him, if they agree, you can
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: restructure and pay it out differently than you've agreed to
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: do it before. So I'm sure it had to do
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: something with moving that money and going will pay a
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: little bit less to him if we sign him again
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: this year, then have to give all that we have
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: guaranteed to him over those years. But again, how exactly
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: it worked, I don't know, and I'm on a Patriots fan,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: so I want to dug that deep into this story.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: It's like, but he's not even playing next year, that's crazy.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: They owe him money, and they've got to figure out
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: a way regardless. They owe money regardless, they got to
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: figure out how to pay that money differently so they
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: can have more money for free for next season, which
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: probably means it's gonna another year later. It's gonna cost
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: him a little more for whatever guarantee or whatever promise
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: they have to him by Ever heard of him? Oh? Yeah,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: no really ever heard of him? Yeah? Very cool? Yeah,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: talking about for pirates aivance like Bobby Benia, Barry Bonds.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: I had all those cards that as those are the
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: days Coleman, Bobby I Am. My final thought is I'm
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: so sorry you paid all that money for Texas and
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: they're gonna get sent out in the first round. My
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Colgate boys, who play the prettiest offensive brand of basketball
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: in the entire country, move it ridiculously well, space so well,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: and are the best shooting team in the country. You're
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: gonna beat Texas fifteen over the two. We're gonna see
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: it today. You know what, I'm okay with that if
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: that happens, because I am not a Longhorn fan and
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I was betting with my brain, but my heart would
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: love to see Colgate win. So either way I win,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Texas wins, I'm still alive making that money. Texas loses,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: heart feels full win. That's a win win for me.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: So I would say to my Texas boys, but I
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: would say they are the Texas investment that I have
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: put my money in. Data xs and os, you know
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: what I mean, or zeros and ones. However you want
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: to look at it. We're flying to I would to
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: go watch the game and it's gonna be fun and
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: hoping he'll get snowed in there, respecting snow. Snowed in
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: we're gonna hitch hike in the snow. Bring your boots. No,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: I did not, So you can look for us. We'll
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: be in I shouldn't say we were sitting exactly. Huh.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Maybe a little hectic. Yeah, but for TV though, be
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: kind of cool. You probably see Yeah, people watching us.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: I think we're cool. This is we're like friends here. Yeah,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: everybody here listen to this. If you got this far,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: good for you, because you know this ain't no treat um.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I get it. We're gonna be hopefully at the Arkansas
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: bench is what we're gonna be behind. But one oh five,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: I'll give you that number. Go grid there section one. Yeah,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: i'd say, hey, it's just see there's the court. It's
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: that section right. Oh my goodness, it's gonna be amazing. Kevin.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Could you could have gone buddy your families in town? You'
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: I can't go. My family's here and you just want
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: to go drink and miss al Culda, I'm sorry, guys,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: I appreciate it, though. I'm gonna be watching you all right.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: This is it. Everybody, Wait, we love you, Hope, make
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: a lot of money. More smiles than frowns about those
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: first half unders. I gotta do that right now. Hey,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: Auburn minus one is gonna win that game. I bet
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: that too. Okay, count that one. My pockets already full
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: of the smiles I took out in advance. It took
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: a loan out for all. I'm gonna make you know
