- 0:01Speaker 1: Pit Talk brought to you by Shannon's Cars are our
- 0:04Speaker 1: passion building, restoring or modifying. It's about making it our own.
- 0:10Speaker 2: It's an obsession. Shannons know what it's worth.
- 0:14Speaker 3: That's why the agreed value includes all your modifications.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Get a quote online today. This is the moment, then,
- 0:20Speaker 2: that we've all been waiting.
- 0:21Speaker 3: For for in a romanxstree Land.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I know they aren't playing hardball out there at the moment,
- 0:29Speaker 1: the pivotal moment of twenty twenty four.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Well, the world's fastest riders on two wheels are making
- 0:41Speaker 3: their way down Under for this weekend's Australian Moto GP
- 0:45Speaker 3: at Phillip Island, and Matt I would say this is
- 0:48Speaker 3: the best weekend of the year on the Moto GP calendar.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Not that we're biased. World's best riders, world's best bikes,
- 0:54Speaker 1: world's best racetrack, world's possibly worst weather for a racetrack,
- 0:58Speaker 1: but hopefully we get one day over the course of
- 0:59Speaker 1: the week. But yeah, the best weekend of the year.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Buffer Well, this episode.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Of Pittsbook is brought to you by Shannon's Insurance. I'm
- 1:05Speaker 3: your host Ronita Vanmullin and joining me is Matt Clayton,
- 1:08Speaker 3: and we're going to break down everything that you need
- 1:10Speaker 3: to know ahead of this weekend's Australian Grand Prix, and
- 1:14Speaker 3: the breaking news coming out is there's a few big
- 1:17Speaker 3: names are not making their debut this weekend and one
- 1:20Speaker 3: of those is the world champion who was crowned in Japan,
- 1:23Speaker 3: Mark Marquees. So what's going with Marquez?
- 1:26Speaker 2: Why is he not a full of Island this year?
- 1:28Speaker 1: Well, we knew that he wasn't going to be at
- 1:30Speaker 1: the Island because of the shoulder injury that he had
- 1:32Speaker 1: in Indonesia when Marco Berzeki ran up the back of
- 1:35Speaker 1: him on the first lap. So you know, it's sort
- 1:37Speaker 1: of Mark's had his Australian drama before he's got to Australia.
- 1:40Speaker 1: It's usually dramatic when he gets here. He gets disqualified,
- 1:42Speaker 1: he crashes from the lead, he wins. It's never a
- 1:44Speaker 1: dull moment for Mark. You remember in the start last
- 1:47Speaker 1: year where he slipped on one of his own tear offs, Yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 1: and it almost was like fifteenth on the first lap
- 1:51Speaker 1: and still came back and won the race. But we
- 1:53Speaker 1: knew Mark wasn't going to be at the Island because
- 1:55Speaker 1: he had the shoulder injury from Indonesia. What's interesting was
- 1:58Speaker 1: they tried to let this just heel itself without surgery,
- 2:01Speaker 1: and you know part of that is you don't want
- 2:03Speaker 1: to go under the knife at any time. Mark Marquez,
- 2:05Speaker 1: the right side of his body does not need any
- 2:07Speaker 1: more surgeries because we've had enough of those. So he's
- 2:10Speaker 1: gone under the knife in Spain over the course of
- 2:12Speaker 1: last weekend, so we knew he was going to miss
- 2:14Speaker 1: Australia in Malaysia. Interesting thing for me now that only
- 2:18Speaker 1: means there's two rounds after that, Portamow and Valencia. Valencia
- 2:22Speaker 1: really important because you've got the effectively the first day
- 2:25Speaker 1: of twenty twenty six, that test one day after the
- 2:27Speaker 1: Grand Prix. It wouldn't surprise me at all of you
- 2:29Speaker 1: missus Portermow. It's not a circuit he's been particularly great
- 2:32Speaker 1: at and there's no small crashes at Portermow. That just
- 2:35Speaker 1: the nature of that track. He's won the World.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Championship, right por similar to Philip Eyland correct.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Yeah, high risk, high reward and he's won the championship.
- 2:44Speaker 1: It's done. He had a chance to possibly have his
- 2:47Speaker 1: greatest season ever with thirteen wins if he had won
- 2:49Speaker 1: two of the last four. The fact he's going to
- 2:51Speaker 1: miss two of those four. The stats are kind of irrelevant.
- 2:54Speaker 1: The only stat he wanted to was the seventh world champion.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Wh've got that. So I think Valencia comeback, do that
- 3:00Speaker 1: this weekend, you know, salute the crowd. They'll hold him
- 3:02Speaker 1: as a hero there. But it's the test that's the
- 3:05Speaker 1: important thing. Now twenty twenty five is done, he's thinking
- 3:08Speaker 1: about twenty six. Why put yourself at risk. So it's
- 3:12Speaker 1: unfortunately he's going to miss Australia because I would have
- 3:14Speaker 1: loved to have seen him on that red decadier around
- 3:16Speaker 1: Philip Pilot, a track where he's so good at any time.
- 3:19Speaker 1: But it's a sensible decision. There's nothing to fight for
- 3:21Speaker 1: for this season. Get yourself right for Valencia, start twenty
- 3:24Speaker 1: twenty six off in November the right way and then
- 3:27Speaker 1: just put twenty twenty five to bed, I think. But
- 3:29Speaker 1: a shame for the Aussie fans, definitely.
- 3:31Speaker 3: But the other names that aren't hearing is Maverick Vignalez,
- 3:34Speaker 3: who's still recovering and it makes me think that well,
- 3:37Speaker 3: maybe Maverick might have needed to have this.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Surgery or whatever the situation.
- 3:41Speaker 3: We don't know the ins and outs, but Joge Martin
- 3:43Speaker 3: and the listeners who listen to us on Pittook, you
- 3:46Speaker 3: predicted that if Jujey Martin was back and he was here,
- 3:49Speaker 3: this could have been the race that he particularly won
- 3:51Speaker 3: or at least fought with.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Mark four right when I thought a podium would be
- 3:55Speaker 1: in the offing for Martin with the comeback. Obviously he's
- 3:57Speaker 1: so underdone. He doesn't really know the bike. He's been
- 4:00Speaker 1: Batten and Bruce all year. But I thought if he
- 4:01Speaker 1: gets on the podium before the end of twenty five,
- 4:04Speaker 1: it'll be at Philip Island. He's been on pole here
- 4:06Speaker 1: the last three years, so post COVID when we came back,
- 4:09Speaker 1: he's been the fastest rider at Philip Island for three years.
- 4:12Speaker 1: He hasn't had a win. He came so close in
- 4:15Speaker 1: the year that Jones RK won. He led for twenty
- 4:17Speaker 1: six laps and four corners or whatever it was before
- 4:19Speaker 1: he got swamped on the last lap. But you look
- 4:22Speaker 1: at the injuries. You mentioned vinals as well. That's our
- 4:25Speaker 1: entire front row starters from last year. Martine on pole,
- 4:28Speaker 1: Marquez second, Vignali is third on the Aprillia last year
- 4:31Speaker 1: and Philip Island's a track where Maverick just pulls random
- 4:34Speaker 1: results out of the bag because he's won there before.
- 4:36Speaker 1: You never know with Maverick. It's either one extreme or
- 4:38Speaker 1: the other. Last year was good Maverick. Previous year was
- 4:41Speaker 1: no good Maverick. But it happens you've got your entire
- 4:44Speaker 1: front row from last year's Australian crand Prix not here.
- 4:47Speaker 1: And so the interesting part for me, Yeah, we know
- 4:49Speaker 1: all three riders are going to be replaced by guys
- 4:51Speaker 1: who will be on bikes and be part of the mix,
- 4:53Speaker 1: but they're not going to be competing for anything meaningful.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Let's be honest. We should tick those off in a
- 4:57Speaker 1: sec But how open does it make this Australian Grand Prix.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I can't think of a race where you look on
- 5:03Speaker 1: Sunday and think who on earth is going to win
- 5:05Speaker 1: this thing because there's a lot of reasons to not
- 5:08Speaker 1: pick people. Someone's got to win it, and whoever that
- 5:11Speaker 1: person is super interesting because right now there's a lot
- 5:14Speaker 1: of guys that aren't making great cases for themselves out there.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Well no, but then you also think back to the
- 5:19Speaker 3: recent races and we've had every manufacturer, yes, in the
- 5:23Speaker 3: top five or six or whatever it is.
- 5:24Speaker 2: So it could literally be a Honda win, which is.
- 5:27Speaker 3: The first time in power a prially win, a KTM win,
- 5:31Speaker 3: a Yamaha win, imagine if Jack Miller does that.
- 5:34Speaker 1: But it just feels super open. And that's and the
- 5:37Speaker 1: nature of the way races tend to take place at
- 5:39Speaker 1: this track is not really anywhere that lends itself to
- 5:43Speaker 1: this type of racing because it's very hard to get away.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You know that you don't have twenty seven laps of
- 5:48Speaker 1: tire life around there because this place just eats tires.
- 5:51Speaker 1: So it's how you decide to run the race. You
- 5:54Speaker 1: think back to the well there, I say, the race
- 5:57Speaker 1: before Malaysia in twenty fifteen and there was to twenty
- 6:00Speaker 1: seventeen razers, an amazing pack race as well. It's hard
- 6:03Speaker 1: to really break away there. And last year we had
- 6:06Speaker 1: this fantastic duel between Juje Martin and Mark Marquez that
- 6:08Speaker 1: boiled down to the last couple of laps. This year,
- 6:11Speaker 1: because you don't have guys with great Island pedigree, I
- 6:14Speaker 1: reckon you could throw a blanket over about five or
- 6:16Speaker 1: six guys and it might literally come down to a
- 6:19Speaker 1: two three lap showdown. At the end, it might be
- 6:21Speaker 1: more Moto three. The Moto three is which is a
- 6:24Speaker 1: Motor three at the Island's awesome at the best desires,
- 6:26Speaker 1: but we could have just a really interesting race at
- 6:28Speaker 1: the island. Picking a winner from this it's so so hard.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I mean, I've given it some thought, but not with
- 6:34Speaker 1: any great conviction. I wouldn't put my house on. I
- 6:36Speaker 1: might put yours.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Oh okay, thanks, that's fine.
- 6:38Speaker 1: But I'm not super confident because there's probably you could
- 6:41Speaker 1: make a case for half a dozen guys to win this.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 6:44Speaker 3: And I think that's what's so exciting is we have
- 6:46Speaker 3: these changes with the riders. We have the unpredictability of
- 6:49Speaker 3: the weather at Phillip Island every year because you don't
- 6:51Speaker 3: know what it's going to bring.
- 6:53Speaker 2: And then we have the replacement riders.
- 6:55Speaker 3: So we have Mikayley Piro who's replacing Mark Markez, we
- 6:59Speaker 3: have a Well Spargo replacing Maverick Vignalez, and Lorenzo Savadori
- 7:03Speaker 3: who's replacing Joi Martin. Now, before we jumped on, he
- 7:06Speaker 3: had to record. You were like, when did Sava last
- 7:09Speaker 3: race of Philip Pilot.
- 7:10Speaker 1: And I forgot that it was last year because he
- 7:12Speaker 1: replaced Prilia when Alasa was injured of course, and Maverick
- 7:15Speaker 1: was on the grid.
- 7:15Speaker 2: But before that.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Well it was in the one two five at about
- 7:19Speaker 1: twenty ten or something and the Purero one. Like you remember,
- 7:22Speaker 1: before Dacadie lost all their concessions, he would pop up
- 7:24Speaker 1: for one or two races a year, usually be Maisano
- 7:26Speaker 1: or Magello or somewhere. I thought to myself, when was
- 7:28Speaker 1: the last time he raced a motor GP bike at
- 7:30Speaker 1: Philip Island. It was twenty twelve when he still had
- 7:34Speaker 1: CRT you know, claiming rule teams. It's that far back
- 7:37Speaker 1: so in terms of knowledge of the island motor GP
- 7:42Speaker 1: being in that intense level of competition. It's been a
- 7:44Speaker 1: while and he's been a guy that Decadi has been
- 7:47Speaker 1: so good that he hasn't been able to make these
- 7:49Speaker 1: wildcard appearances because they've lost their concession. So talk about
- 7:52Speaker 1: being thrown in the deep end.
- 7:53Speaker 3: My goodness, Oh well, I mean the dep end this
- 7:55Speaker 3: year I could save for Peco Bannaya. Let's talk about that,
- 7:58Speaker 3: because coming off fantastic weekend unfortunately overshadowed by Mark Markers
- 8:04Speaker 3: winning the championship. Story of this season well, yeah, and
- 8:07Speaker 3: then you fast forward to Indonesia where soomkat Chantra are
- 8:11Speaker 3: scored points and Peko Vanyaya did it. Yeah, how is
- 8:14Speaker 3: Peco going to be this weekend? Is this a weekend
- 8:17Speaker 3: where Mark's out of the question? Pecko is going to
- 8:20Speaker 3: have everyone focused on him because they're still not giving
- 8:24Speaker 3: us an answer as to what is the issue, what's
- 8:27Speaker 3: going on with Peco, what's going with the bike? How
- 8:29Speaker 3: can he come forward from this? Can we see a
- 8:31Speaker 3: better Peco this weekend?
- 8:33Speaker 1: It had to be worse, wouldn't. I mean, you have
- 8:35Speaker 1: a look at what happened between Japan and Indonesia. I mean,
- 8:37Speaker 1: if you talked about the extremity of results between two
- 8:41Speaker 1: races seven days apart, you'd think we'd be talking about
- 8:44Speaker 1: someone like somcat Chantra or a rookie, or some bizarre
- 8:47Speaker 1: weather conditions or something. The weather was pretty benign in
- 8:50Speaker 1: both places. He looked like he was completely unbeatable in Japan,
- 8:54Speaker 1: and he looked absolutely hopeless in Indonesia. And this is
- 8:58Speaker 1: a guy who's a two time moto jeep world champion.
- 9:01Speaker 1: And it does show you how much of what Pecko's
- 9:03Speaker 1: doing at the moment, how much is going on between
- 9:05Speaker 1: his ears rather than between the handlebars at this point,
- 9:07Speaker 1: because he's convinced that he can't ride this GP twenty
- 9:11Speaker 1: five point whatever it is. At this point. How many
- 9:13Speaker 1: bits have they taken off the twenty four You had
- 9:16Speaker 1: Ucho Saluci at VR forty six saying I'll Peco Boro
- 9:19Speaker 1: Frankel Morberdelli's bike at the Messano test. Dacaddi factory team
- 9:23Speaker 1: didn't want to allow for that. There's all this mixed
- 9:26Speaker 1: messaging going on, and it's very unusual, you know, to
- 9:29Speaker 1: take people behind the curtain here. Picko's usually very good
- 9:32Speaker 1: with media, and the fact that he didn't even he
- 9:35Speaker 1: was too just distraught by what happened Indonesia to even
- 9:37Speaker 1: speak at Mandalika, that's really really unlike him, and you've
- 9:41Speaker 1: got this sort of push. Paul and I wrote about
- 9:43Speaker 1: this for Fox Sports during the week, and we talked
- 9:45Speaker 1: about it with Peter Bomb actually a couple of weeks ago.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Ducatti's a very engineering focused team under Gigjulna, right, so
- 9:53Speaker 1: as far as GG sees it, the rider is just
- 9:55Speaker 1: another go faster bit to put on the bike, and
- 9:58Speaker 1: so if the telemetry and the and the wind tunnel
- 10:00Speaker 1: and everything says that a particular bike is faster for
- 10:02Speaker 1: whatever reason, then it's up to the rider to meet that.
- 10:06Speaker 1: And we've talked all year about the GP to twenty
- 10:08Speaker 1: five not being as good as a twenty four. Twenty
- 10:10Speaker 1: five still won the World Championship because it had Mark
- 10:12Speaker 1: Marquez on it. So as far as GG sees it,
- 10:15Speaker 1: the rider is just another tool to make the bike achieve. It's,
- 10:18Speaker 1: you know, what it should be achieving, and it hasn't
- 10:21Speaker 1: with Peko. Pecko's probably someone who needs Some guys need
- 10:25Speaker 1: a PROD and some guys need an arm around their shoulder,
- 10:27Speaker 1: and I think Pecko's a guy who needs an arm
- 10:29Speaker 1: around his shoulder. I thought it was really interesting after
- 10:31Speaker 1: Indonesia where Davidota Dootzi was the guy who faced the
- 10:34Speaker 1: press with Peco not doing it, and he sort of
- 10:36Speaker 1: talked about the fact that you know, emotionally, he needs
- 10:39Speaker 1: our help right now, and you can just look at
- 10:41Speaker 1: the raw data and try and engineer your way out
- 10:43Speaker 1: of a situation. But there's a human element to this.
- 10:45Speaker 1: And it's not to say that the way Peko goes
- 10:47Speaker 1: about it is wrong, because he won two World Championships
- 10:49Speaker 1: doing it, and he narrowly lost two others, so it
- 10:51Speaker 1: clearly works. But you've got this push pull between engineering focus,
- 10:55Speaker 1: Gigglina Banya who needs the perfect feel to be good,
- 11:00Speaker 1: and we've seen what happens when he has the perfect
- 11:01Speaker 1: film he wins world championships. So you know, look, this
- 11:05Speaker 1: weeknd to me, he's kind of the beginning of twenty
- 11:07Speaker 1: twenty six, right. They need to get him right and
- 11:10Speaker 1: comfortable and not just jumping at shadows like he has
- 11:12Speaker 1: been because this will just run into twenty six if
- 11:15Speaker 1: they don't, and they've got to repair this rider. You're
- 11:18Speaker 1: not going to have Mark forever. And there's no telling
- 11:20Speaker 1: whether you're going to have this advantage forever because in
- 11:23Speaker 1: twenty twenty seven we get this rule reset right, They've
- 11:25Speaker 1: got to get their rider right. He's been the most
- 11:28Speaker 1: successful rider in Ducati's Motor GP history. They can't just
- 11:31Speaker 1: throw him out because he's not working.
- 11:34Speaker 3: I think what I'm looking forward to this weekend is
- 11:36Speaker 3: the fact that Philip Island's a circuit where they don't
- 11:40Speaker 3: necessarily need to utilize as much technology that's on the
- 11:43Speaker 3: bob correct. Is there even a corner where they potentially
- 11:46Speaker 3: do use the right heighth device, possibly out.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Of four at a Miller corner. That'll be about it.
- 11:51Speaker 1: But it's so fast and flowing. You're right, it's an
- 11:53Speaker 1: analog circuit. It's very old school in that regard. It's
- 11:57Speaker 1: not a circuit that was designed, you know, out of
- 11:59Speaker 1: a computer or you know, built like a particular circuit designer.
- 12:03Speaker 1: It's a natural race track. It's one of the few
- 12:06Speaker 1: that's left. Yeah, and you wonder if it is a
- 12:08Speaker 1: bit more analog and it's more in the rider's hands,
- 12:11Speaker 1: in the machine's hand. Is this what he needs right now?
- 12:14Speaker 1: I would say yes.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Well, the professor like what we said it so many times.
- 12:17Speaker 3: That's what makes me think. But the other downside with
- 12:19Speaker 3: Philip Island is it is a circuit where you need confidence, yes,
- 12:24Speaker 3: because you are going in remember that big crash going
- 12:26Speaker 3: into term one years ago where they slid off like you,
- 12:29Speaker 3: every corner, every aspect of this circuit.
- 12:32Speaker 2: You need to be so confident in yourself, in the.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Machine, trusting the weather because the wind can change everything
- 12:37Speaker 3: at that moment, so can that Hinderpecko.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Well, you either need the confidence or you need to
- 12:43Speaker 1: use one of Fabio couatrero sayings about Jack Miller take
- 12:45Speaker 1: your brain out. Sometimes you can actually overthink these things.
- 12:49Speaker 1: It comes down to either having the confidence or being
- 12:52Speaker 1: able to bluff yourself that you have the confidence. And
- 12:55Speaker 1: there's a reason why certain riders have an affinity with
- 12:58Speaker 1: this particular place. It's no surprise that a Martine is
- 13:00Speaker 1: fast here when he's here, because he's just going to
- 13:03Speaker 1: rip the throttle harder than everybody else and be confident
- 13:05Speaker 1: and almost to a point of arrogance that he's going
- 13:07Speaker 1: to make all of these corners work. Equally, you get
- 13:10Speaker 1: a guy who has more emotional peaks and troughs like
- 13:12Speaker 1: Vignalees that we're talking about before, when Maverick's on here
- 13:15Speaker 1: in the past, and when he feels at one with
- 13:17Speaker 1: the bike. He's amazing to watch because it's just so
- 13:21Speaker 1: precise and you can see the confidence.
- 13:24Speaker 2: It's like a real.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Body language about the way that he rides. So I
- 13:26Speaker 1: think Friday is super interesting. If Peco struggles in that
- 13:30Speaker 1: first session, if he is floundering around the back of
- 13:33Speaker 1: getting into Q two Friday afternoon, I don't think you'll
- 13:36Speaker 1: be able to turn around a bad Friday afternoon if
- 13:38Speaker 1: it goes wrong. If he has a good Friday afternoon,
- 13:41Speaker 1: He's going to be really strong for the rest of
- 13:42Speaker 1: the weekend because you've got that confidence base to build on.
- 13:45Speaker 1: So yeah, super interesting.
- 13:47Speaker 3: I'm glad you brought up the body language because that's
- 13:49Speaker 3: something I noticed watching Peco last year at Philip Eiland,
- 13:52Speaker 3: was his body language on Friday wasn't showing that confidence
- 13:55Speaker 3: and then you could see it. So something for you
- 13:57Speaker 3: guys at home to think about, as well as the
- 13:59Speaker 3: fact that what happens Friday can really determine the rest
- 14:03Speaker 3: of your weekend, because yeah, obviously we have Saturday, we
- 14:06Speaker 3: have the qualifying, we have the sprint, but if you're
- 14:08Speaker 3: not getting that set up right and looking at the weather,
- 14:10Speaker 3: Friday is meant to be wet, Saturday's looking dry, and
- 14:13Speaker 3: the Sunday's possible showers and we know that can change
- 14:15Speaker 3: on a whim.
- 14:16Speaker 2: That can affect everything.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Yeah, massively. So there's some riders that need to be
- 14:21Speaker 1: a slow burn and they need to build up. There'll
- 14:23Speaker 1: be other guys who'll go out and almost set their
- 14:25Speaker 1: fastest lap time for the weekend on their second flying
- 14:27Speaker 1: lap on Friday. And that's what's so interesting about this track.
- 14:30Speaker 1: It probably plays more into that personality and confidence that
- 14:33Speaker 1: you mentioned, maybe more than some of the more sort
- 14:35Speaker 1: of stop go tracks where there's kind of only really
- 14:37Speaker 1: one way to go fast yea, where this is a
- 14:39Speaker 1: track where the human element of it comes out a
- 14:41Speaker 1: lot more so as far as Banao goes. Yeah, it's
- 14:43Speaker 1: super interesting to see how this plays out now.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Jack Miller, we were talking about this off air here
- 14:48Speaker 3: the last time he was on the podium twenty nineteen
- 14:52Speaker 3: with Pramac.
- 14:53Speaker 1: The Dark Knight Rises, the special one off Livery that
- 14:56Speaker 1: he had on race day.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Interesting but now he's back with it.
- 15:01Speaker 3: But could this be his chance at the podium or
- 15:04Speaker 3: the win on home soil in man A GP.
- 15:06Speaker 1: It's interesting with Jack in that he's always qualified much
- 15:11Speaker 1: better than he races at the Island. I think he
- 15:12Speaker 1: sort of regresses to them me and over one lap
- 15:14Speaker 1: he does amazing things. He's often done that you know
- 15:17Speaker 1: back in his you know Honda days with Australia Galizia.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I mean he's qualifying second roll on that bike, so
- 15:22Speaker 1: he is able to churn one lap out of it.
- 15:25Speaker 1: It's funny with Home Grand Prix, for any rider or any track,
- 15:28Speaker 1: some people see it as being like a burden or
- 15:30Speaker 1: a weight on their shoulders. I think Jack gets massively
- 15:33Speaker 1: energized by the home crowd and the flags and means
- 15:36Speaker 1: got one hundred and twenty people from his family in
- 15:39Speaker 1: Queensland and New Zealand that come over. It's hard for
- 15:41Speaker 1: a lot of guys in two and four wheels to
- 15:43Speaker 1: cope with that home support. Jackson has thrived off that,
- 15:46Speaker 1: and you know, we know that the season started pretty
- 15:49Speaker 1: well and has kind of petered out a little bit.
- 15:51Speaker 1: It's not been great. He was very convincing. I thought
- 15:54Speaker 1: in Indonesia it was really good to see him at
- 15:55Speaker 1: the back of that front pack and it looked like
- 15:57Speaker 1: he was going well until he got dive bomb by
- 15:59Speaker 1: Franco Morbidelli. Join Club Jack. But this strikes me as
- 16:03Speaker 1: a weekend. I can absolutely see him in Q two
- 16:05Speaker 1: and this is not somewhere Jack's been for a lot
- 16:08Speaker 1: of the year. Now. Whether a Yamaha can sustain that
- 16:10Speaker 1: sort of pace if he's able to qualify in the
- 16:12Speaker 1: first three rows over the course of a Grand Prix,
- 16:15Speaker 1: maybe not in a spring possibly, but it's all about
- 16:18Speaker 1: Friday for Jack. He's just got to get himself in
- 16:20Speaker 1: Q two. You know that quaatearero is going to be there.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Miguel Oilver has been a lot better since he got
- 16:25Speaker 1: sacked quite frankly from Yamaha. He's been maybe he's just
- 16:27Speaker 1: riding a bit more freely, but he's been quite decent.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Alex Rins is excellent at Philip Island, yes, and he
- 16:33Speaker 1: won there in twenty two on the Suzuki. I wouldn't
- 16:35Speaker 1: have thought he'd be a factor until we saw what
- 16:38Speaker 1: we saw in Indonesia and it was a bit of
- 16:40Speaker 1: fools goal there because he ran the soft tire and
- 16:41Speaker 1: it looked amazing and then he ran out of tire.
- 16:43Speaker 1: But the island's a track where he makes a difference.
- 16:45Speaker 1: He's always been good Phillip Island, so maybe we will
- 16:47Speaker 1: see some more Yamaha representation. This is not a super
- 16:51Speaker 1: horsepower track as we know, and you know, a bike
- 16:54Speaker 1: that turns, it's not all about top speed there. So
- 16:56Speaker 1: Jack's not within you know, it's not beyond the realms
- 16:58Speaker 1: to imagine him in Q two and then from there,
- 17:00Speaker 1: you know, maybe we can see something.
- 17:02Speaker 3: What's your thoughts on the fact of the writers knowing
- 17:05Speaker 3: Mark's not there, they're not having to fight for that
- 17:06Speaker 3: championship anymore. Do you think it's like, well, the cat's away,
- 17:10Speaker 3: the mice will play like these guys are really going
- 17:12Speaker 3: to battle it out one hundred.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Percent, because you look at the one big championship battle
- 17:18Speaker 1: and I use battle inverted conference, but it's not really
- 17:20Speaker 1: Alex Marquez is more likely than not to see a
- 17:23Speaker 1: runner up in the World Championship this weekend. That's kind
- 17:25Speaker 1: of the only thing really left of intrigue in the
- 17:28Speaker 1: Points stayble. No one's really thinking about third from there on.
- 17:31Speaker 1: And yeah, the fact that Mark as dominant as Mark's
- 17:34Speaker 1: being generally, and then you come to a track where
- 17:35Speaker 1: he's awesome anyway, the fact that he's not there, the
- 17:38Speaker 1: fact that Martine's not there, someone like Maverick who might
- 17:41Speaker 1: have a random result. This feels so open. So I
- 17:43Speaker 1: think the way a lot of these other riders will
- 17:45Speaker 1: approach the weekend is really interesting. Pressures off right, It's
- 17:49Speaker 1: like an absolute one off world cut, let's just go
- 17:52Speaker 1: for this. And I think because of that, we're going
- 17:54Speaker 1: to see a different race emotionally for a lot of
- 17:57Speaker 1: these guys, and I think we might see a few
- 17:59Speaker 1: surprises this wed You'll think, oh, this guy's on the
- 18:01Speaker 1: third and second rower a great how did that happen?
- 18:03Speaker 1: This guy's on a sprint podium. We know this track
- 18:06Speaker 1: suits certain riders and not others, so I think it'd
- 18:09Speaker 1: be pretty mixed up.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Okay, I'm going to ask you the tricky question. I
- 18:13Speaker 3: know you've been waiting for it. I believe you have
- 18:16Speaker 3: an article coming out on Fox sports dot com. Doa
- 18:18Speaker 3: forward slash Motorsport, Matt wa'ts your thoughts this weekend?
- 18:22Speaker 2: Who's for poll? Who's for the Grand Prix podium?
- 18:28Speaker 1: It wouldn't surprise me in qualifying at all if we
- 18:30Speaker 1: see one of those fabio Quatrero specials. Now, this is
- 18:33Speaker 1: not something that I have written in the story that
- 18:35Speaker 1: will probably be up by the time anyone listens to
- 18:37Speaker 1: this Quatrero this year has Watching him in qualifying has
- 18:41Speaker 1: been sort of one of my absolute favorite things of
- 18:43Speaker 1: this season because four times this year he's put a
- 18:45Speaker 1: bike on pole. It's got absolutely no business being there. Now,
- 18:48Speaker 1: it regresses to the mean of the race, but they're
- 18:50Speaker 1: almost the most fun, like ninety second periods of motor GP,
- 18:53Speaker 1: because you look at the timing screen it's like, how
- 18:55Speaker 1: is he doing that? Yeah, and so there's every chance
- 18:58Speaker 1: that he could pull one of those wouldn't surprise me
- 19:01Speaker 1: in the slightest because he's the best one lap rider
- 19:03Speaker 1: in Motor GP, and that's other than maybe Juge Martin,
- 19:06Speaker 1: who's not here fully fit Joy Martin. That wouldn't surprise me.
- 19:09Speaker 1: But in terms of the race win, I just to
- 19:13Speaker 1: me there's kind of five guys that are in the
- 19:15Speaker 1: frame here and it's hard to separate them, so I
- 19:18Speaker 1: sort of went through a bit of a process of elimination.
- 19:21Speaker 1: The one I like is Marco Bozeki, but with asterisks here.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yes one.
- 19:27Speaker 1: We know he's got a grid penalty for what he
- 19:28Speaker 1: did to Mark Marquez in Indonesia. Now as we speak
- 19:32Speaker 1: right now, we don't know what the griod penalty is.
- 19:33Speaker 1: It'll be the three places or five grid penalties at
- 19:36Speaker 1: Philip Island aren't massively relevant. The only concern I've got
- 19:40Speaker 1: a bit with a Pillier is that this is the
- 19:42Speaker 1: time of year where they tend to go downhill a
- 19:44Speaker 1: little bit, they come to the flyaways and they kind
- 19:45Speaker 1: of disappear. It's happened time and time again. You know,
- 19:48Speaker 1: Aprillius never finished better than eighth at Philip Island before.
- 19:51Speaker 1: It's never happened.
- 19:52Speaker 3: But they have led a lap here, they said the
- 19:55Speaker 3: first time they ever lost lead in a Grand Prix.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Right, And so you know, they've tended to be a
- 19:59Speaker 1: bike in the p where it has like one or
- 20:01Speaker 1: two awesome circuits a year. It was always like termass
- 20:05Speaker 1: Barcelona with Alage because he lived down the road, of course,
- 20:08Speaker 1: but then they'd come to the flyways and they kind
- 20:09Speaker 1: of disappear. It was too hot. You remember when they
- 20:11Speaker 1: went to India the other year, like Alasia's burning himself
- 20:14Speaker 1: on the bike, and it's never really operated great in
- 20:16Speaker 1: the flyways. But it seems like a more rounded bike
- 20:19Speaker 1: and a more rounded team this year. So I'm wondering
- 20:22Speaker 1: if that holds for here. Bazeki's not one hundred percent fit.
- 20:24Speaker 1: He's had two massive accidents the last two races and
- 20:27Speaker 1: got taken out by his own teammate in Japan. Of course,
- 20:30Speaker 1: how fit is he? And what does the grid penalty
- 20:32Speaker 1: play in so without going through the I like Fabio
- 20:38Speaker 1: di jan Antonio is really good at Philip Pilot. Now
- 20:41Speaker 1: we know that twenty five has not been so great,
- 20:43Speaker 1: but did he's last two years here podium? In twenty
- 20:46Speaker 1: three in the crazy Zarco race he came from twelfth
- 20:49Speaker 1: to finish fourth last year. He just about going on
- 20:51Speaker 1: the podium from the fourth row last year. He's enormously
- 20:55Speaker 1: rapid at the end of races, so he's one of
- 20:57Speaker 1: those guys he'll have great tire life at the end.
- 20:59Speaker 1: He's in the top four or five in seven laps
- 21:03Speaker 1: to go look out because he's really really good. Here
- 21:06Speaker 1: fermin Al Deguerrez got an awesome Motor two CV here.
- 21:09Speaker 1: I think he's had three top four finishes in a row,
- 21:11Speaker 1: one here last year in Moto two. Talk about a
- 21:14Speaker 1: guy that's confident. He's just demolished everybody in Indonesia. So
- 21:17Speaker 1: he's another guy that's in the frame for me. But
- 21:20Speaker 1: my favorite friend the race win Ronita, is Peco Vanaya.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Really yes, But.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Then we're just looking before and we're talking about is
- 21:27Speaker 3: he right? Is he mentally capable?
- 21:29Speaker 1: Massive asterisk of all time here, let's look at the
- 21:32Speaker 1: background with Pecko. His very very first Mordor GP result
- 21:36Speaker 1: of any note was twenty nineteen. He finished fourth. Really
- 21:38Speaker 1: tough rookie season. He was right on the back of
- 21:40Speaker 1: Jack Miller, who was his teammate when Jack took that
- 21:42Speaker 1: podium in nineteen. Since we've been back here at post
- 21:45Speaker 1: COVID in twenty two, twenty three, twenty four. He's been
- 21:47Speaker 1: on the podium every year. He hasn't qualified lower than fifth.
- 21:51Speaker 1: This is a good Peco track. Mark's not there, Martine's
- 21:55Speaker 1: not there now. It would require a massive swing between
- 21:59Speaker 1: one race to the other based on what we saw in Indonesia.
- 22:01Speaker 1: We only need to go back to races to know
- 22:03Speaker 1: what good Peko looks like, because in Japan he looked
- 22:06Speaker 1: utterly untouchable. Yes, I know, Mark was sort of playing
- 22:09Speaker 1: for the championship at that point. No one saw him
- 22:12Speaker 1: after the start. For two straight days he was on pole,
- 22:14Speaker 1: He led every lap of the sprint, he led every
- 22:16Speaker 1: lap of the Grand Prix. He made everyone look ridiculous.
- 22:19Speaker 1: If you can fluctuate between that extreme to the other
- 22:22Speaker 1: extreme in Indonesia, why can't we see Japan Pecko this
- 22:25Speaker 1: weekend as opposed to Indonesia Pecko. It's in the cards.
- 22:28Speaker 1: It's a good track for him. He's usually pretty confident here.
- 22:31Speaker 1: He gets a decent started on Friday. I think he's
- 22:35Speaker 1: going to be a very very hard man to be
- 22:37Speaker 1: come Sunday. Now it may sound like the craziest prediction
- 22:40Speaker 1: of all time, given the guy was last and absolutely
- 22:43Speaker 1: hopeless two weeks ago. But this is Peco Banyoora in
- 22:45Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. This is what happens. Why can't we
- 22:48Speaker 1: have an extreme swing back the other way?
- 22:50Speaker 2: I mean, this year we've had a Honda.
- 22:52Speaker 3: On the podium, Uh huh, We've seen our world champion
- 22:55Speaker 3: crash out. There's so many things on our bingo Kat
- 22:57Speaker 3: and I swear I say this every episode. I was
- 22:59Speaker 3: not expecting that in twenty twenty five. So I mean, yeah,
- 23:02Speaker 3: Peco comeback?
- 23:03Speaker 2: Why not?
- 23:04Speaker 1: And then he could also go to Malaysia the following
- 23:06Speaker 1: weekend and me last, because we know.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Alex Markeez is good at Malaysia.
- 23:09Speaker 1: So yeah, and Picko, there's no middle ground with Pecko
- 23:11Speaker 1: this year. It's either really really good or more more
- 23:14Speaker 1: often than not, really really bad. Yeah, given what you
- 23:17Speaker 1: mentioned before, how you laid it out with the people
- 23:19Speaker 1: that aren't here, and the fact it's such a particular track. Now,
- 23:22Speaker 1: if small would consequences, Like I always say, if you
- 23:25Speaker 1: can have that confidence here, he's proven it before. He's
- 23:29Speaker 1: been very very fast here for a long period of time.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Given the guys that aren't here, why not.
- 23:35Speaker 3: It's funny because Matt was like, you're going to be
- 23:37Speaker 3: shocked at my prediction, and I.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Talked to you around a little bit.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Now I'm understanding it, but before I was thinking, you know,
- 23:44Speaker 3: you were joking like what if it's Pyro or what
- 23:46Speaker 3: if it's a polus bugger, you know, Jack Miller. Now
- 23:49Speaker 3: that you said it, I'm going, yeah, actually, I can
- 23:51Speaker 3: see it in my mind, though I'm still thinking, yeah,
- 23:53Speaker 3: it's Bez maybe a Zarco because of like how he's
- 23:56Speaker 3: been here in the past.
- 23:57Speaker 2: I remember last year when we spoke to Chris.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Chris said, don't out Zarko back then on the Honda.
- 24:02Speaker 2: So yeah, I can see it, but I just think
- 24:05Speaker 2: the weather's going to come into place so much.
- 24:07Speaker 1: But this is why this weekend is so compelling, because
- 24:10Speaker 1: we're trying to find perfect answers to questions where every
- 24:14Speaker 1: single answer is imperfect. There's always ah, but what about this?
- 24:17Speaker 1: Oh but what about this? He mentioned Zarko first half
- 24:20Speaker 1: of the season, fantastic second half of the season. He's
- 24:23Speaker 1: fall off a cliff. Yeah, he's got about thirty points
- 24:25Speaker 1: in the last nine rounds. He's been nowhere. Do the
- 24:27Speaker 1: factory Hondas come to play. I don't know. I mean,
- 24:29Speaker 1: Luca Marine has never had a great result here. That
- 24:31Speaker 1: bike looks great at the moment.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Jean mir has had good results and he's.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Been good here too. Can he stay on? Is he
- 24:36Speaker 1: a podium chance? You could make a case for twelve
- 24:39Speaker 1: to fourteen riders to potentially be on a podium this weekend.
- 24:42Speaker 1: We've only got twenty of them. Is because so many
- 24:44Speaker 1: guys out injured at the moment. That's what makes this
- 24:46Speaker 1: so compelling.
- 24:47Speaker 3: I think, yeah, even just when you said that, I'm
- 24:49Speaker 3: going pas, you're Acosta.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Last year he crashed out, but he was fighting hard.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Yeah, sor I mean potential, No, he crashed on the screen, correct.
- 24:58Speaker 2: I think what I'm excited for off track? I mean
- 25:00Speaker 2: we spoke about on track. Off track is Pedro Costas
- 25:04Speaker 2: last year had the mullet helmet. We know we've got
- 25:07Speaker 2: the Aussi's.
- 25:07Speaker 3: We love the fact that they really get into the
- 25:10Speaker 3: Australians of this weekend.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Heedro is half Australian. He hangs out with Remy.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Gard Yeah exactly, half Australian. Exactly, Well, adopt him. We'll
- 25:18Speaker 2: adopt him.
- 25:18Speaker 3: But the cool thing is is we have Assi's across
- 25:20Speaker 3: all three classes, So Jack Miller, we know in Moto
- 25:23Speaker 3: GP this weekend. In Moto two we have two Aussie
- 25:26Speaker 3: Sena Ageas and Harrison Void is making his wild card
- 25:31Speaker 3: once again, this time with the MT Helmets MSI team.
- 25:34Speaker 2: In Moto two. Now Senna, he's had his win this season.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Last year at philip Island was his first ever Moto
- 25:40Speaker 3: two podium.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Yep.
- 25:42Speaker 3: How do we think he's gonna go? Because he is
- 25:44Speaker 3: one of those ones who I feel like relish is
- 25:46Speaker 3: in the fact that it's the home race for him.
- 25:47Speaker 3: He has all that extra press and extra responsibilities, but
- 25:51Speaker 3: it seems to work for him.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Couldn't agree more. I mean, he was literally the busiest
- 25:54Speaker 1: man in Philipilo last year. If there was can you
- 25:56Speaker 1: come and do this? Yep, I'll be there and he
- 25:58Speaker 1: I mean, I thought, you're going to be exhausted the
- 26:00Speaker 1: time you get on the bike, but he just reveled
- 26:02Speaker 1: in the support. And you have to look at these
- 26:04Speaker 1: guys like they do all these other rounds where they
- 26:07Speaker 1: are so far from home that they are literally the
- 26:09Speaker 1: furthest from home that you could possibly be. He's got
- 26:12Speaker 1: a lot of family that will come down. I love
- 26:14Speaker 1: the way he handled all of that last year, and
- 26:17Speaker 1: so to have what at the time was a career
- 26:19Speaker 1: best result, the place went nuts. It was fantastic to
- 26:21Speaker 1: be there. And you look at where he's at twelve
- 26:24Speaker 1: months on. He's become a guy who we're expecting to
- 26:26Speaker 1: see at the front and we're disappointed now when he's not.
- 26:29Speaker 1: We're in the past. It's like, oh, sent us up
- 26:30Speaker 1: the front. What a bonus. He's won a Grand Prix.
- 26:33Speaker 1: He comes back here knowing what the madness is going
- 26:35Speaker 1: to be. Like, he's had a couple of not so
- 26:38Speaker 1: great rounds, like Motigi was pretty ordinary, Like he's had
- 26:40Speaker 1: a couple of rounds that haven't gone quite so well.
- 26:43Speaker 1: But if there's a chance for someone to have a
- 26:44Speaker 1: one off result, you could absolutely see it because I
- 26:47Speaker 1: think he relishes the pressure.
- 26:48Speaker 2: He loves it.
- 26:49Speaker 1: He loves the support and the adulation. And yet look,
- 26:51Speaker 1: the more ausies we can have a World Championship. Gridji
- 26:53Speaker 1: mentioned Harrison vot he was here last year of course
- 26:55Speaker 1: as well, so and Moto two is you know, it's
- 26:58Speaker 1: the most live of all the championships. Course it's still
- 27:00Speaker 1: going that'll be a tense one Sunday. It wouldn't surprise
- 27:03Speaker 1: me at all to see center right up the sharp end.
- 27:06Speaker 3: And then if we look at Moto III, we've got
- 27:08Speaker 3: our Jacob Rylstone and Joel Kelson. Now I actually saw
- 27:11Speaker 3: Joel last weekend at the Bathurst one thousand.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Not something you thought you were going to say.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Something I thought I was going to say at all,
- 27:16Speaker 3: his first ever Bathurst one thousand, and I was talking
- 27:18Speaker 3: to him. I said, how are you feeling? And same
- 27:20Speaker 3: for him, He's like, I love coming home. I love
- 27:23Speaker 3: being here in this environment, having my friends and my
- 27:25Speaker 3: family there. And I said, okay, well, what's the goal
- 27:28Speaker 3: for this weekend? He's like, I think I can get
- 27:30Speaker 3: on the podium.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Well, we know in qualifying there's no issues been job
- 27:34Speaker 1: because he's always up on the first one or two rows.
- 27:36Speaker 1: It's always that. What's his pace like in the last
- 27:38Speaker 1: four or five laps of a race? But again, podium
- 27:40Speaker 1: finisher in his home Grand Prix, hopefully not those conditions.
- 27:43Speaker 1: My god, we needed boats or other than motor three
- 27:45Speaker 1: bikes that year. That was yeah, So we don't want
- 27:47Speaker 1: to be part of that. But we know he's risen
- 27:49Speaker 1: to the occasion here in the past. I wouldn't be
- 27:52Speaker 1: surprised at all if he's on the front row. He's
- 27:54Speaker 1: just almost permanently on the front road these days. Ossie
- 27:56Speaker 1: Paul would be quite nice, yeah, and then Jacob Roston, Look,
- 27:59Speaker 1: we know it's been a tough year for him. If
- 28:01Speaker 1: what's the old saying, if you're only as good as
- 28:03Speaker 1: your last race, then he's pretty bloody good because he
- 28:05Speaker 1: finished fifth in his last race at Indonesia, career best
- 28:08Speaker 1: for him. So it's been a difficult year for him.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Injured at the beginning, it's been tough. You know, it
- 28:12Speaker 1: doesn't have his right next year with that team come
- 28:15Speaker 1: here with you know, he's obviously lived the Australian Grand
- 28:18Speaker 1: Prix experience once already. It's been tricky for him this year.
- 28:21Speaker 1: But to come here with a great result and then
- 28:24Speaker 1: sort of you know, nestle into the support that you're
- 28:26Speaker 1: going to get here hopefully a good result for him
- 28:29Speaker 1: this weekend. And the best part about this is we've
- 28:31Speaker 1: got ossies in all three categories who were expecting to
- 28:34Speaker 1: be prominent, and I mean, let's be honest, there's going
- 28:36Speaker 1: to be a lot of buzzie flags trackside of Philippilon
- 28:39Speaker 1: this weekend. That's what we're looking forward to.
- 28:41Speaker 3: I think for listeners though, we always go if you
- 28:43Speaker 3: only watch Moto GP and one other race, obviously we
- 28:46Speaker 3: want you to support all three categories. Moto three, Moto
- 28:49Speaker 3: three here, oh my god, it's going to be elbows out.
- 28:52Speaker 3: They're going to be going for it. And like even
- 28:54Speaker 3: last weekend in Indonesia it was the same thing. Is
- 28:57Speaker 3: every lap you're on the edge of your seat, going,
- 29:00Speaker 3: what are they going to do? The moves that they're
- 29:01Speaker 3: making and whatnot. Philip Island's going to be another class.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I always say it's like the last lap for twenty
- 29:06Speaker 1: one laps. Yeah, it literally feels like that. And you'll
- 29:09Speaker 1: have these packs at the front of races where every
- 29:12Speaker 1: point's paying position is within one point two seconds, and
- 29:15Speaker 1: you could throw a top haul and over the front group.
- 29:17Speaker 1: And you know, Jack Miller won a pretty memorable Motor
- 29:19Speaker 1: THREI race here back in the day where five of
- 29:21Speaker 1: them could have won that race coming into the last corner.
- 29:24Speaker 1: So it's usually the best race of the day. And
- 29:27Speaker 1: God only knows how big thefer I mean, the front pack,
- 29:29Speaker 1: it's basically the entire field is the front pack. Yeah,
- 29:31Speaker 1: and yeah, when you get to the last three laps
- 29:33Speaker 1: like there's no analysis needed, just just laugh like the
- 29:35Speaker 1: rest of us.
- 29:36Speaker 3: I know we sound biased, and I'm going to say
- 29:38Speaker 3: this once again. If there's only one Grand Prix you
- 29:40Speaker 3: watch in the whole entire year, make it the Australian
- 29:42Speaker 3: Grand Prix because it is one of the best, not
- 29:44Speaker 3: just because we have Assi's on the grid, but the
- 29:46Speaker 3: circuit provides some of the best racing that we're going
- 29:49Speaker 3: to see across all three classes.
- 29:50Speaker 2: And I can't wait, Matt. I'm excited.
- 29:53Speaker 3: We're both going to be on the ground this weekend,
- 29:55Speaker 3: so you're going to be covering it for Fox Sports.
- 29:57Speaker 3: I'm also there as well, which you guys can follow
- 29:59Speaker 3: along on the Fox Sports socials at Fox Motorsport and
- 30:02Speaker 3: Fox Sports Oh's and KO Sports everywhere as well. But Matt,
- 30:07Speaker 3: I think that gives everyone a little bit of an
- 30:08Speaker 3: insight into this weekend. Obviously, the weather's going to be
- 30:11Speaker 3: a big player in how all the results turn out,
- 30:15Speaker 3: but I'm excited.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely. You do the usual Philip Islum packing list,
- 30:18Speaker 1: You just tip your entire wardrobe into the back of
- 30:20Speaker 1: the car because you're probably gonna need a ski. Parker
- 30:22Speaker 1: and some sunscreen, probably within an hour of each other
- 30:24Speaker 1: when you're down there. But that's why we love this place.
- 30:26Speaker 2: That is exactly why we love it.
- 30:29Speaker 3: So thank you so much again once to Shannon's Insurance
- 30:32Speaker 3: for being our sponsor for this episode of Pittook. Matt
- 30:35Speaker 3: Clayton's articles are on Fox sports dot com dot au.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Ford's slash Motorsport.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Like I said, follow along with us on socials all
- 30:42Speaker 3: we can, and we're going to take you guys behind
- 30:44Speaker 3: the scenes at Fox Motorsport.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Fox Sports, OHS and KO Sports.
- 30:48Speaker 3: But from Matt Clayton and myself Ronita Vermulene, we're going
- 30:52Speaker 3: to be back real soon with more Moto GP Pittook
