- 0:11Speaker 2: Welcome into another edition of The check Odaily. It's Andrew Decheco,
- 0:15Speaker 2: Eagles beat reporter for Inside the Birds dot Com. And
- 0:18Speaker 2: Tuesday was coordinator Day. So we heard from Vic Vangio,
- 0:23Speaker 2: Kevin Patullo, and Michael Clay and I'm just going to
- 0:27Speaker 2: go through a couple of the quotes from each that
- 0:30Speaker 2: particularly stood out to me to give you guys some
- 0:33Speaker 2: more clarity on questions that I'm sure you have and
- 0:35Speaker 2: in case you missed the press conference. So we'll start
- 0:39Speaker 2: with Vic Vangio and he was asked about the Jalen
- 0:46Speaker 2: Carter for example, with the conditioning and how he's come
- 0:48Speaker 2: on as of late, and he said it has something
- 0:51Speaker 2: to do with it. Plus I think he was nursing
- 0:53Speaker 2: his shoulder and then the thing that kept him out
- 0:56Speaker 2: of the Giants game. I think it's conditioning, improving the
- 0:59Speaker 2: health and health and proving.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Hey, it's Jeff Mosher. And if you have a family
- 1:03Speaker 3: and kids at home, like me, you always want them

- 2:15Speaker 1: Let's see here the fourth down stops.
- 2:18Speaker 2: What goes into those fourth down stops as far as
- 2:20Speaker 2: your calls and the execution. First off, it was just overall,
- 2:24Speaker 2: good play by the guys. They executed the calls correctly,
- 2:27Speaker 2: with good energy and the physicalness that you need to
- 2:30Speaker 2: stop the couple runs that were run there, they can
- 2:34Speaker 2: get titan coverage. I think it's just good execution and
- 2:36Speaker 2: our guys believe that they can stop a short yardage play.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Let's see anything else that's of NOE. The rotation at
- 2:46Speaker 2: linebacker and what maybe factored into it, he said, just
- 2:50Speaker 2: because you know, keep Jahad in there ready to roll
- 2:53Speaker 2: because he's the next guy up as an ILB. But
- 2:56Speaker 2: he's been getting time to at OLB, so it'll probably
- 3:00Speaker 2: stay similar.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Let's see.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Hey, Philly fans, game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 3:11Speaker 3: long lines, We've all been there, But when it comes
- 3:14Speaker 3: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is
- 3:18Speaker 3: the dispensary for sports fans, just minutes outside of Philly,
- 3:22Speaker 3: with plenty of free parking. You'll be in and out fast,
- 3:25Speaker 3: no hassle, no waiting, and they don't just care about convenience.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Camped Inn Apothecary is all about the guest experience. Their
- 3:33Speaker 3: staff makes sure you feel taken care of every time
- 3:37Speaker 3: you walk in. Plus they carry only the best quality
- 3:40Speaker 3: cannabis at the fairest prices, so whether you're stocking up
- 3:44Speaker 3: for the tailgate, the watch party, or celebrating a big win,
- 3:48Speaker 3: you know you're getting the good stuff without overpaying. They
- 3:52Speaker 3: even show love to the community with specials for fans, students,
- 3:56Speaker 3: service members, and healthcare pros camed in Apotheca Kerry, top
- 4:00Speaker 3: quality cannabis, great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Twenty one and up.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Here's one about Niakcobe Dean. Has he surprised you? I mean,
- 4:14Speaker 2: he missed almost nine months. Has it surprised you how
- 4:17Speaker 2: quickly he's gotten back to himself? Vic says, I know
- 4:20Speaker 2: he worked really hard in his rehab. He was bugging
- 4:23Speaker 2: those guys in the training room to come back earlier
- 4:26Speaker 2: than they allowed him to. So from that regard, no,
- 4:30Speaker 2: Nikobe's got good instincts, good football acumen. I don't want
- 4:33Speaker 2: to say it comes easy, but it comes natural to him,
- 4:36Speaker 2: so that speeds.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It up too.
- 4:40Speaker 2: One more on a Dori Jackson, who I have been
- 4:43Speaker 2: on record as saying that I thought a lot of
- 4:45Speaker 2: folks were a little too strong in their criticism of him.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Sans the first game of the season. I think he's
- 4:51Speaker 2: done a solid job when called upon. But Vic, who
- 4:54Speaker 2: called a Dorry Jackson a survivor last week, said I
- 4:57Speaker 2: thought he played good. He got beat early for a
- 4:59Speaker 2: couple but hung in there, made the big third down
- 5:02Speaker 2: stop in the second half. Another play that was critical
- 5:04Speaker 2: was when we held them in the red zone. That
- 5:07Speaker 2: tackle he made on either first or second down to
- 5:09Speaker 2: keep it a short game.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Was a big play. So I thought he played well.
- 5:14Speaker 2: And lastly about Nolan Smith and getting him back into
- 5:17Speaker 2: the flow of things and the snaps, he said, you'd
- 5:20Speaker 2: have to speak to Tom Hunkily about that.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 5:28Speaker 2: And the snap's part about it, he said, correct, they
- 5:32Speaker 2: have put a snat limitation on him, which makes a
- 5:35Speaker 2: lot of sense. So that was Vic Fangio, and I
- 5:37Speaker 2: think the notable thing there is that there's going to
- 5:39Speaker 2: continue to be a linebacker rotation with Jahid Campbell and
- 5:43Speaker 2: na Kobe Dean Zach Bonn obviously doesn't leave the field.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I think if you're Vic and you see the product
- 5:49Speaker 2: on the field with the Kobe there, he showed some
- 5:51Speaker 2: good things in coverage on a mom Rustin Brown, James and.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Williams Jamier Gibbs. He's the complete player.
- 5:57Speaker 2: He's experienced, and he brings you probably a better presence
- 6:02Speaker 2: as a run defender, and he's the smartest player on
- 6:05Speaker 2: the field every time he's out there. So I think
- 6:06Speaker 2: you want to give someone like that opportunities and you
- 6:10Speaker 2: don't want to take away from that. But they also
- 6:13Speaker 2: have struck a balance and making sure that they're incorporating
- 6:15Speaker 2: Jahad Campbell, who's been fine this season. In fact, he's
- 6:19Speaker 2: flashed on many occasions and you want to keep him
- 6:22Speaker 2: in the mix to continue his growth. And he played
- 6:24Speaker 2: about twenty snaps against the Lions. Think that may have
- 6:26Speaker 2: been a season low for him. But when Nakobe's playing
- 6:29Speaker 2: as well as he is, it's very hard to keep
- 6:31Speaker 2: him off the field in those situations.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Hey, I still like a good night out, but I'm
- 6:36Speaker 3: not always in the mood to drink. And that's why

- 8:04Speaker 2: Let's move to Kevin Petullo, the Eagles offensive coordinator, and
- 8:10Speaker 2: he was asked about them playing a lot of pressman
- 8:14Speaker 2: the Lions and did they do what they expected or
- 8:17Speaker 2: did you think that they would do a lot of
- 8:19Speaker 2: what other teams have done and give them some different
- 8:21Speaker 2: types of looks, And he said, they mixed it up
- 8:23Speaker 2: a little. I mean, I think they still stuck to
- 8:25Speaker 2: their core a little bit. They try to do a
- 8:27Speaker 2: few things to keep us off balanced, but for the
- 8:29Speaker 2: most part, they stuck with their game plan, with what
- 8:32Speaker 2: their game plan was going in. He also talked about
- 8:39Speaker 2: Jalen's performance and he said, I thought Jalen played well.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I mean, it was a difficult game. It was a
- 8:45Speaker 1: difficult kind of game.
- 8:47Speaker 2: And the way it played out, and he took care
- 8:48Speaker 2: of the ball and that's a major priority for us obviously.
- 8:51Speaker 2: But he did a good job and the game kind
- 8:53Speaker 2: of went the way it went. The field position was
- 8:56Speaker 2: different at times. We had two red zone opportunities. I
- 8:58Speaker 2: knew the one, you know, the one the short field.
- 9:01Speaker 2: We came away with the field goal. We need to
- 9:02Speaker 2: do a better job there. And then the other one
- 9:04Speaker 2: we were down in the red zone. We had a
- 9:05Speaker 2: negative play and something else and we kind of got
- 9:08Speaker 2: out of it. Then we had to get back in
- 9:11Speaker 2: the red zone and kick the field goal. So those
- 9:13Speaker 2: two drives right there, if you come away with touchdowns,
- 9:16Speaker 2: it feels completely different the whole entire outlook of the game.
- 9:19Speaker 2: For the offense, he did a pretty good job aj
- 9:26Speaker 2: Brown with the volume of pass targets. Was there a
- 9:29Speaker 2: concerted effort to get him the football? And he said, yeah,
- 9:31Speaker 2: it was no different. I think the planned was pretty
- 9:34Speaker 2: much similar to how it was every other game with him,
- 9:36Speaker 2: and the ball found him a little bit more, which
- 9:38Speaker 2: is great. He made some critical plays for us when
- 9:40Speaker 2: we needed it, made some really tough catches in traffic,
- 9:43Speaker 2: and that's what he's awesome at. He's a phenomenal player
- 9:46Speaker 2: and did a really good job. From that standpoint. Let's
- 9:51Speaker 2: see losing an offensive lineman in the game and how
- 9:58Speaker 2: that happens frequently this year. How much has that impact
- 10:01Speaker 2: the lack of consistency, and Patula says, I mean, Stout
- 10:05Speaker 2: does a great job having all those guys ready. They
- 10:08Speaker 2: work extremely hard and we trust anybody that's out there.
- 10:11Speaker 2: But it's different. I guess you could say it has
- 10:14Speaker 2: been a little bit of a different thing from week
- 10:16Speaker 2: to week. We've had different guys in and out of there,
- 10:19Speaker 2: but they've all played extremely hard and they know what
- 10:21Speaker 2: to do. We expect to keep it going the way
- 10:24Speaker 2: it's been going, and whoever's available, we will roll with.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I know everybody's eager to do what they need to
- 10:29Speaker 2: do to help us win. Here's one on Tank Bigsby
- 10:35Speaker 2: and then we'll go to Michael Clay talking about the
- 10:38Speaker 2: question was pertaining to Tank Bigsby and if he's seems
- 10:43Speaker 2: like he's provided a spark and Kevin said, yeah, when
- 10:46Speaker 2: he comes in he brings a lot of energy. I
- 10:48Speaker 2: think we talked about this a week or two ago.
- 10:50Speaker 2: The energy and the juice that he brings is awesome.
- 10:52Speaker 2: He runs extremely hard and Saquon does a great job
- 10:55Speaker 2: of knowing when he needs a break and when he doesn't.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Jamal Singleton goes running backs. Coach does an unbelievable job
- 11:02Speaker 2: having all those guys ready for anything that's in the plan,
- 11:05Speaker 2: and he runs hard and.
- 11:07Speaker 1: It's been a really good spark for us.
- 11:09Speaker 2: So that was Kevin Patullo, and then we'll end with
- 11:13Speaker 2: Michael Clay, EGO Special Teams coordinator.
- 11:16Speaker 1: He gives some lengthier answers.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So for time's sake, and I'm going to just makes
- 11:24Speaker 2: you read some of the you know, paraphrase that are abbreviated,
- 11:28Speaker 2: I should say, how close were those three field goals?
- 11:36Speaker 1: And those conditions?
- 11:38Speaker 2: Both for him, he says, both for him and Jake Bates,
- 11:41Speaker 2: the Lion's kicker. Tough conditions, tough conditions for the specialists.
- 11:45Speaker 2: But it was awesome, kind of fortunate that we had
- 11:47Speaker 2: a pretty windy day there on Thursday to kind of
- 11:50Speaker 2: sense out what it was going to be. I mean,
- 11:52Speaker 2: that's probably the windiest it's been since I've been in Philadelphia.
- 11:55Speaker 1: But huge kicks out of Jake.
- 11:56Speaker 2: The operation from cal Adamiitas along snapper and punter Braidon
- 12:01Speaker 2: Man with the holds of the field goal Pro team
- 12:05Speaker 2: was really good, and that forty nine yard yarder kind
- 12:08Speaker 2: of made it a two score game and kind of
- 12:09Speaker 2: alleviated some of what was going on in a big
- 12:11Speaker 2: defensive battle between the Detroit They're a good unit, so
- 12:15Speaker 2: all those points matter, especially when you get in these
- 12:17Speaker 2: this November and December games. Let's see, there's a question
- 12:29Speaker 2: here about Cam Latu that I want to Cam Latu,
- 12:35Speaker 2: who made the nice play on special teams will make
- 12:36Speaker 2: him a good special teams player. Again, this is a
- 12:39Speaker 2: longer answer, so I'm going to shorten it says I
- 12:41Speaker 2: think a lot of it has to do with the
- 12:43Speaker 2: belief that.
- 12:44Speaker 1: That the belief in Cam.
- 12:47Speaker 2: He was kind of a journeyman a little bit early
- 12:49Speaker 2: on in his career, but having the opportunity and he's
- 12:51Speaker 2: rose to the occasion. But you get a guy that's
- 12:54Speaker 2: what six', four six sixty three sixty, FOUR i believe
- 12:57Speaker 2: he's sixty, five two hundred and sixty that could run
- 13:01Speaker 2: Move ben like that and have that have the one
- 13:03Speaker 2: two to go to go know that he can go
- 13:06Speaker 2: make a play for us and help the team. OUT
- 13:08Speaker 2: a lot of special teams comes down to one two in,
- 13:10Speaker 2: energy AND i think he brings a lot of, that
- 13:12Speaker 2: and not just.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Him you See sydney out, there you See kylon And.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Will when they make, plays they get, excited AND i
- 13:18Speaker 2: want them to be excited because that third phase is
- 13:21Speaker 2: a huge task to help out the team in the
- 13:23Speaker 2: field position. Battle SO i Think cam has done an
- 13:26Speaker 2: unbelievable job of rising to the occasion and he's so.
- 13:29Speaker 2: INTENT i asked About Xavier gibson and what he's provided
- 13:36Speaker 2: as a punt returner and will end with, this he, Says,
- 13:39Speaker 2: yeah Obviously xavier had some reps with The. Jets he
- 13:41Speaker 2: brings some explosiveness you saw in The Green bay, game
- 13:44Speaker 2: catching that ball in the game twenty one yard return
- 13:49Speaker 2: and even that last, punter second to last punt. Return
- 13:52Speaker 2: people think he was Just people think he was just
- 13:55Speaker 2: heady enough that he didn't know if it Hit sydney
- 13:58Speaker 2: or not or hit, him but him able to bat
- 14:03Speaker 2: it out of bounds or at least save us a.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Possession that brings us intelligence to the field and a
- 14:07Speaker 2: high pressure situation to stay calm and.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Just kind of bat it out then be able to
- 14:12Speaker 1: play the next.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Play and he's so intent on wanting to give the
- 14:14Speaker 2: ball back to the offense and still and still that ball.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Security we do a ball security drill, Myself jamal every
- 14:22Speaker 2: day with him after. Practice he wants to do so
- 14:24Speaker 2: well for the team and give us a little. Spark
- 14:26Speaker 2: he has done a really good job in the last
- 14:29Speaker 2: three games that we've had. Him so those are a
- 14:32Speaker 2: little bit of a synopsis of the coordinators today and
- 14:35Speaker 2: what they had to say on certain topics THAT i
- 14:37Speaker 2: think you'll all find. Interesting in case you missed, it
- 14:40Speaker 2: The eagles are back on the practice field. Tomorrow There's
- 14:43Speaker 2: Nick sirianni who will meet with the media about eleven
- 14:46Speaker 2: fifty and then you have.
- 14:47Speaker 1: The open locker.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Room so there's plenty of news from The Novacare complex.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Tomorrow but for, now that's going to do it for
- 14:54Speaker 2: this edition of The. CZECHODILY i Am Andrew, decheco And
- 14:56Speaker 2: i'll catch you on the next, one the
