Speaker 1: two things happen. People get delivered and demons and religious

Speaker 1: men weren't filled with the spirit. They were filled with indignation.

Speaker 1: verse twenty two through twenty five. But when the officers

Speaker 1: came and did not find them in the prison, they

Speaker 1: returned and reported saying, indeed, we found the prison shut

Speaker 1: securely and the guards standing outside before the doors. But

Speaker 1: when we opened them, we found no one inside. This

Speaker 1: the high priests and the Captain of the Temple and

Speaker 1: the chief priests heard these things, they wondered what the

Speaker 1: outcome would be. So one came and told them, saying, look,

Speaker 1: the men whom you put in prison are standing in

Speaker 1: the temple and teaching the people. Wow. It was like, man,

Speaker 1: this is just hilarious. It's like God just makes our

Speaker 1: enemies look foolish, like hallelujah. And so when the officers

Speaker 1: reported that it was locked and the guards were standing there,

Speaker 1: but no one was inside. I mean, it's a humane,

Speaker 1: humorous situation. God confuses the wise and frustrates the proud,

Speaker 1: while the apostles keep preaching the word God is fighting

Speaker 1: that again. This is the doctrine that backs up civil disobedience.

Speaker 1: We ought to obey God rather than men. Now remember,

Speaker 1: these men were filled with the Holy Spirit, so they

Speaker 1: were filled with boldness. This is the spirit. The Holy

Speaker 1: Spirit will also fill us with courage. This is what

Speaker 1: Peter didn't have before the Holy Spirit fell upon them.

Speaker 1: Now Peter is unstoppable. And I want God to do

Speaker 1: tackle verse thirty and thirty two. I mean thirty through

Speaker 1: thirty two. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus,
