- 1:00Speaker 2: It should feel like Tuesday almost because we weren't here
- 1:04Speaker 2: on Monday for y'all right, right, but it does say
- 1:08Speaker 2: to me, but it does feel like Thursday a little
- 1:10Speaker 2: bit to me as well.
- 1:11Speaker 6: It is.
- 1:12Speaker 2: That's why it's hump Day. That is why hump Day.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Jake Flannelander tte all here with you. Flynn with his
- 1:19Speaker 2: second computer out watching the tour. We got it still
- 1:22Speaker 2: apparently going on stage seventeen twenty one, thirty seven.
- 1:29Speaker 7: Somebody's listening, Olandra.
- 1:31Speaker 6: My god, I remember the our guy's name Quinn Simmons,
- 1:35Speaker 6: and you don't remember his name?
- 1:36Speaker 2: True, the fact that I think she passed you up.
- 1:39Speaker 5: Still five stages.
- 1:41Speaker 7: A lot of miles.
- 1:43Speaker 2: We were talking about legs are tired, multiple of weeks
- 1:45Speaker 2: before we went to media days.
- 1:47Speaker 7: Yeah, them legs be real tired right now for sure,
- 1:50Speaker 7: But you know, back to back days though I thought
- 1:52Speaker 7: they'd take days off.
- 1:53Speaker 8: They take one day off.
- 1:55Speaker 7: I think there's a week, right, think yeah about that.
- 1:57Speaker 7: I think there's three total rest days.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:01Speaker 7: Yeah, what a lead story we're talking about.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Good for them. There's nothing else going on here, Yeah yeah,
- 2:05Speaker 2: nothing else really.
- 2:06Speaker 8: Osborne didn't die or anything, did retire.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Jimmy Graham didn't hang them up.
- 2:12Speaker 7: Nothing going on.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Also, how about that getting completely overshadowed?
- 2:17Speaker 8: Well, what like Tyrone did not read the.
- 2:21Speaker 9: Jimmy Graham that's like surprise surprised Philip Rivers retiring right right?
- 2:25Speaker 2: Well, no, I mean Jimmy, but like yes, but no,
- 2:29Speaker 2: I mean Tyron's obviously more of a surprise because we
- 2:32Speaker 2: were talking about him yesterday with Nick and his role
- 2:34Speaker 2: in the team, like kind of came out of nowhere.
- 2:37Speaker 2: But I mean, Jimmy's one of those players just like
- 2:40Speaker 2: Phillip where yeah he's retired, but teams still call true.
- 2:44Speaker 9: I think once he took off canoe across the Arctic Ocean,
- 2:48Speaker 9: that was probably a.
- 2:48Speaker 8: Good sign that is retirement behavior.
- 2:51Speaker 5: When I saw when I saw the news and it
- 2:54Speaker 5: was like Jimmy Graham and also to retirement, I was like,
- 2:56Speaker 5: I thought he already was. Yeah, I thought he retired.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Last did you did you ever officially retire?
- 3:02Speaker 7: No, So I said I could announce it today if
- 3:04Speaker 7: you want.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I could too. I never officially did.
- 3:07Speaker 9: I think the NF like the NFL officially because I
- 3:12Speaker 9: think at like the five year mark, I think it's
- 3:14Speaker 9: just like you're you're not eligible to be an active
- 3:18Speaker 9: player or something like that.
- 3:18Speaker 7: You have to get like reinstated something like that.
- 3:21Speaker 9: I can't remember exactly what the rule is, the terminology is.
- 3:24Speaker 9: So they announce it, but no, maybe in thee the
- 3:28Speaker 9: third hour, maybe the third hours coming, I mean this
- 3:32Speaker 9: big news.
- 3:32Speaker 5: I mean, I ain't trying to hype you up too
- 3:34Speaker 5: early today, Matt, you wouldn't played for the Colts right now, you'd.
- 3:37Speaker 7: Have a shot.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Yeah, that could be Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson.
- 3:43Speaker 9: Yeah they stink right, I mean you got a shot
- 3:45Speaker 9: at that wall. Isn't Anthony Richardson hurt or something?
- 3:47Speaker 7: Right now? Does it matter if or not I wouldn't
- 3:51Speaker 7: through yesterday? You don't know?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Did you still got it? And you're still here to
- 3:56Speaker 2: tell the tale?
- 3:57Speaker 7: The old arm is real. I couldn't feel it. Like
- 4:00Speaker 7: last night when I got in bed, we threw you try.
- 4:03Speaker 2: To make a comeback. You're trying to tell us? Is
- 4:05Speaker 2: that what's coming in an hour?
- 4:06Speaker 7: Number three?
- 4:07Speaker 10: Now?
- 4:07Speaker 7: I'm just trying to pass down my knowledge.
- 4:11Speaker 2: How's that going?
- 4:14Speaker 7: Not a lot of it, you know, not a lot
- 4:16Speaker 7: of it?
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yeah, but no, I.
- 4:20Speaker 9: Got so, you know, I do a little bit of
- 4:23Speaker 9: training and I so I still throw.
- 4:27Speaker 7: But like the only time I ever.
- 4:28Speaker 9: Throw is when I when I trained, and and I'm
- 4:32Speaker 9: talking about training somebody else.
- 4:33Speaker 7: I'm not training myself. I'm not trying to I'm not
- 4:36Speaker 7: trying to.
- 4:36Speaker 9: Go start for anybody right now, even though I could,
- 4:39Speaker 9: I got so I only throw then, So you know,
- 4:41Speaker 9: I still throw like with the same you know, attempt
- 4:45Speaker 9: to try with the like to throw the same torque.
- 4:47Speaker 9: I don't like ye tone it back any So I
- 4:50Speaker 9: got tenanitis on both sides of mel bro. I got
- 4:52Speaker 9: the golfers and the tennis.
- 4:56Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, tennis elbow and golf got them both. And
- 4:59Speaker 7: like every time I I just lift my coffee up
- 5:01Speaker 7: the wrong way. Oh sure, it's a bit.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Well.
- 5:05Speaker 11: On that note, I think we can go ahead and get.
- 5:09Speaker 7: Good opening this show started.
- 5:11Speaker 2: But between your tennis and your golf elbow, let's go
- 5:13Speaker 2: ahead and get it started.

- 6:30Speaker 7: Your back seat?
- 6:34Speaker 8: Why people forgetting their kids?
- 6:36Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm like, how how is this? It
- 6:39Speaker 2: happened a Landra? We need our number three. We can
- 6:42Speaker 2: get on that because it happens, like I've heard stories.
- 6:46Speaker 2: I'm like, who put the kid in the car? You what?
- 6:52Speaker 2: I swear my car t like it says.
- 6:53Speaker 5: That with Victory. Somebody broke into victorious car. When we
- 6:58Speaker 5: first got married. She is a sensor too, had a
- 7:01Speaker 5: jacket hanging over the seat and at night, I guess
- 7:04Speaker 5: it like slid down.
- 7:04Speaker 7: On the seat.
- 7:06Speaker 5: Sensor started going off and it was like occupancy warning.
- 7:10Speaker 5: I'll walk outside. I'm like all right, yeah, like it's
- 7:14Speaker 5: it's it's going. It was a driveway shotgun that day,
- 7:17Speaker 5: like we're making things happen. And I went out there,
- 7:20Speaker 5: opened the car and the jacket was on the seat.
- 7:22Speaker 5: I was like, I guess it fell from like the
- 7:24Speaker 5: head rested down. We woke us up at like two am.
- 7:27Speaker 7: You're ready to go though. The sensor like a arms
- 7:31Speaker 7: your phone.
- 7:32Speaker 5: Like she her her car is like she has like
- 7:35Speaker 5: linked to an app. So like if we go into
- 7:37Speaker 5: like a stores or like we're at the movies and
- 7:39Speaker 5: she's like, I forgot to lock my car. She can
- 7:41Speaker 5: do all that on her phone. She's such a type
- 7:43Speaker 5: of code. So like when the sensor went off, a
- 7:46Speaker 5: like sit on an alarm on her phone and it
- 7:48Speaker 5: said like occupancy warning or whatever. It was like motion detected.
- 7:51Speaker 5: I'm like, somebody break it into your car. Jacky jacket
- 7:57Speaker 5: fell down.
- 7:58Speaker 2: I don't think I have that feels like something impossible, right.
- 8:04Speaker 8: Wait, okay, so.
- 8:05Speaker 7: Real quick in I hope they get stuck.
- 8:08Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, before we get like started started, I've been
- 8:11Speaker 6: meaning to talk about this.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Held on.
- 8:17Speaker 8: I know we just got the show started.
- 8:18Speaker 6: But I've been mean to talk about this, and I
- 8:21Speaker 6: keep forgetting to tell y'all. So, the Baton Rouge Children's
- 8:26Speaker 6: Advocacy Center, they do like a celebrity waiter event every year,
- 8:30Speaker 6: So it's tonight and I'm gonna be one of the
- 8:33Speaker 6: celebrity waiters. So and you can still tip me like online,
- 8:38Speaker 6: So if you want to send me some tips online,
- 8:40Speaker 6: you can go to.
- 8:43Speaker 8: Baton Rouge c AC.

- 8:53Speaker 6: name and tip whatever however much you want to tip.
- 8:57Speaker 8: Every penny counts.
- 8:59Speaker 6: But I've been telling people on air, like on my
- 9:02Speaker 6: Coffee and Flannel and I filled in from Michelle last Friday,
- 9:05Speaker 6: and I haven't told you all this yet, but I've
- 9:06Speaker 6: been telling people on air that if they screenshot and
- 9:10Speaker 6: send me that they donated money, we'll put all y'all's
- 9:14Speaker 6: name somewhere and y'all will sign something for them, just.
- 9:19Speaker 7: Like you and Matt, everybody.
- 9:22Speaker 8: Person person picking one person.
- 9:26Speaker 6: Yeah, Like we'll put some names in a hat and
- 9:28Speaker 6: we'll pick one person. I haven't told you all that
- 9:31Speaker 6: I told people that y'all are signing something for them.
- 9:35Speaker 5: I'll give you your first tip tonight. Just be yourself,
- 9:38Speaker 5: just relaxed, be calm, yeah about it.
- 9:41Speaker 9: Person get the rest is a great opportunity for us here.
- 9:45Speaker 9: The rest of them will get just a stack of
- 9:47Speaker 9: base cards.
- 9:48Speaker 8: Yes, yes, either way you're getting something.
- 9:52Speaker 2: You going to get a stacked Patriot base car.
- 9:56Speaker 9: Is there some sort of award or is it just
- 9:59Speaker 9: bragging around that gets the most tip?
- 10:01Speaker 6: Me personally, I just want to be the one that
- 10:03Speaker 6: has the most because that's who.
- 10:05Speaker 8: We have a tally, like, do we I don't know,
- 10:08Speaker 8: so I probably won't know until.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I was gonna try to see if we could stuff
- 10:11Speaker 2: the ballots.
- 10:11Speaker 6: So I definitely want to have more than Hunt because
- 10:14Speaker 6: Hunt is also a celebrity waiter tonight, Oh yeah.
- 10:17Speaker 7: So we should.
- 10:17Speaker 9: You should also have a competition, like who can carry
- 10:20Speaker 9: the most stuff on a tray?
- 10:23Speaker 11: I got a lot over Hunt, not even close.
- 10:26Speaker 8: I used to be a cocktail waitress.
- 10:27Speaker 6: I have like a skill of how I hold glasses
- 10:31Speaker 6: in my hands.
- 10:32Speaker 8: There's like a way to do it.
- 10:33Speaker 7: Are you rusty?
- 10:35Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 10:36Speaker 6: Maybe I'm a washed up cocktail waitress slash bartender.
- 10:44Speaker 8: I haven't done it in a couple of years. Maybe
- 10:45Speaker 8: I will be.
- 10:49Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 10:49Speaker 6: Okay, well I did have like Hella do skis in
- 10:53Speaker 6: my hands the.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Other day, so we'll throw a tip out there, okay,
- 10:58Speaker 2: and one more time online your website because.
- 11:02Speaker 6: Rouge c ac dot com slash events.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Okay, and we'll give it throughout the show as well. Yeah,
- 11:09Speaker 2: don't allow Hunt Palmer to beat.
- 11:13Speaker 7: We can't have a big deal.
- 11:14Speaker 8: We can. We're representing a TV yes, yeah, and we're winners.
- 11:18Speaker 8: Here are winners, so we're we're number one.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Even when we get honorable mention All District and not
- 11:23Speaker 2: first or second team, we're winners.
- 11:25Speaker 9: Yes, won that award. Yeah, first team honorable mention.
- 11:29Speaker 6: Also, people can tip me while I'm there, so I'm
- 11:32Speaker 6: going to be like real, like the charm you got it.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I don't believe that you're you're gonna crush like any.
- 11:41Speaker 8: I'm not gonna pocket any.
- 11:43Speaker 6: This is this kid, This is for abused children.
- 11:47Speaker 2: This is for a lun draft.
- 11:50Speaker 5: You get forty months. He's like guys, another twenty of here.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Okay, all right. The only way that we can do
- 11:58Speaker 2: this properly, I think, is to to take a break
- 12:01Speaker 2: and then when we come back, we will obviously react
- 12:04Speaker 2: to one of the greatest college football players I think
- 12:08Speaker 2: of all time, certainly one of the most impactful college
- 12:11Speaker 2: football players of all time. Then had a hell of
- 12:13Speaker 2: a pro career as well. We'll react to the honey
- 12:16Speaker 2: badger hanging its cleats up when we come back here
- 12:18Speaker 2: on OTB off the bench, all right. Go to trash
- 12:24Speaker 2: rangers dot com. Go to the website today and sign

- 12:36Speaker 2: right size on your project. Two two five six one
- 12:39Speaker 2: two two four seven seven. Here's what I have going on,
- 12:43Speaker 2: here's how much trash I'm going to have, And they're

- 13:58Speaker 1: From Players to Legends, Hester Flynn, Breakdown, LSU Football like
- 14:02Speaker 1: only champions can.
- 14:11Speaker 7: Watches this Times bomb.
- 14:25Speaker 2: All right, welcome back to n OTB one O four five,
- 14:28Speaker 2: ESPN Baton Rouge. And yesterday mid afternoon, I would say
- 14:35Speaker 2: some some pretty surprising news. Tyron Matthew, the honey Badger,
- 14:40Speaker 2: decided to hang up his cleats. And this was a
- 14:44Speaker 2: player that we were talking about just yesterday with Nick Underhill,
- 14:47Speaker 2: New Orleans stuff. Football knows the Saints as well as anybody,
- 14:51Speaker 2: So this kind of came out of nowhere, like nobody
- 14:53Speaker 2: really had signs. Now, if you are somebody that has
- 14:58Speaker 2: been in this situation in your later in your career,
- 15:01Speaker 2: and you go to training camp for a day, two
- 15:03Speaker 2: days or training camp is upon you and you're like, actually, no,
- 15:08Speaker 2: I'm I'm gonna go ahead and go back home. Yes,
- 15:12Speaker 2: literally talking about it. Yes, the middle is just that
- 15:16Speaker 2: week before training camp. It's just week seven week deadn't
- 15:21Speaker 2: taste is good? Year seven. I have a contract. I'm
- 15:26Speaker 2: you know, supposed to go to West Virginia. The next day,
- 15:31Speaker 2: Greenbrier said, no, no, what just not in it. My
- 15:37Speaker 2: heart's not here. And the Saints were great. They were
- 15:39Speaker 2: they were They were like, Okay, well we appreciate you
- 15:41Speaker 2: telling us, we appreciate you not coming up here, and
- 15:44Speaker 2: then two days later doing it like they.
- 15:45Speaker 7: Were like we get it.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Well yeah, they were, though we get it. I'm like, well,
- 15:49Speaker 2: good because it's happening.
- 15:50Speaker 7: Yep.
- 15:52Speaker 2: But Tyra was somebody like I was, you know, I
- 15:54Speaker 2: was the point I'm going year to year like I'm
- 15:56Speaker 2: at that point in my career, like Tyron is still
- 15:59Speaker 2: a starter, still very valuable to the team on the field,
- 16:03Speaker 2: off the field, And so this probably did surprise a
- 16:06Speaker 2: lot of people around the organization. And in the next day,
- 16:11Speaker 2: two days, we'll talk about and Saints have already made
- 16:13Speaker 2: a move. We'll talk more about what it means to
- 16:15Speaker 2: the Saints this year. But here on this show, on
- 16:18Speaker 2: this day, on this segment, we talk about what Tyron
- 16:22Speaker 2: Matthew meant to football and what he meant to the
- 16:26Speaker 2: state of Louisiana and the path that he had, like
- 16:31Speaker 2: we all know it's it's been out there, we've talked
- 16:35Speaker 2: about it before, you know, doesn't finish his college career
- 16:39Speaker 2: on the LSU football team. But the way he handled
- 16:43Speaker 2: all of that, and the one thing I've told Tyron
- 16:45Speaker 2: this in person was like the thing that I appreciate
- 16:48Speaker 2: most about him was he never pointed fingers. He never
- 16:53Speaker 2: blamed anybody else, Like any trial tribulation that he went through,
- 16:59Speaker 2: he pointed the fight himself. He took ownership of it.
- 17:02Speaker 2: And think about like what people said about him when
- 17:06Speaker 2: he's you know, that August and he's getting kicked off
- 17:09Speaker 2: the football team, and they had so many different comments
- 17:12Speaker 2: to make and there's a you know a lot of
- 17:15Speaker 2: different ways that thing could have ended up, but he
- 17:17Speaker 2: didn't allow it to. Yep, Like pretty much right after
- 17:21Speaker 2: that moment, right, he gets back to work again, takes
- 17:25Speaker 2: full ownership of what happened, makes himself a third round
- 17:28Speaker 2: pick sixty ninth overall, and then becomes an All Pro
- 17:32Speaker 2: and then becomes like one of the faces of the NFL.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Is always in the community, does all the right things,
- 17:41Speaker 2: is a mentor to young players, Like it's an incredible
- 17:45Speaker 2: story it's an incredible career. Never, like never was there
- 17:51Speaker 2: a Saturday that he was playing. And I tweeted this
- 17:53Speaker 2: out yesterday that after we got done with our walkthrough
- 17:57Speaker 2: in San Diego and that twenty eleven season, we all
- 18:02Speaker 2: huddled and I'm talking about like the entire team. We're
- 18:05Speaker 2: balling on a budget in San Diego. So we had
- 18:06Speaker 2: a couple of TVs, not a lot. We're all we're
- 18:09Speaker 2: huddled around. If LSU had a day game, we're all
- 18:13Speaker 2: watching to see what Honey Badger was going to do.
- 18:16Speaker 2: If they played a late game, We're at the snack
- 18:20Speaker 2: and we're all huddled around the TVC and what the
- 18:22Speaker 2: honey Badger was going to do. When they played Alabama
- 18:25Speaker 2: in twenty eleven, my special teams coordinator said, Hey, I
- 18:32Speaker 2: know the deal. You know the deal. We got the
- 18:34Speaker 2: Special Teams meeting to the Special Teams captain, So hide
- 18:39Speaker 2: it as best you can, but pull out that phone
- 18:42Speaker 2: and watch this game. Yeah, Like in the meeting, like
- 18:46Speaker 2: he was must watch TV and the whole team was.
- 18:48Speaker 7: But I'm like, I'm sitting here watching it.
- 18:50Speaker 2: It was him that was making the plays that just
- 18:53Speaker 2: everybody wanted to watch.
- 18:55Speaker 9: There's a two minute, eighteen second clip that I'm watching here,
- 19:00Speaker 9: and it's just like it's highlight films with him at LSU.
- 19:04Speaker 7: And because we had.
- 19:05Speaker 9: Talked about yesterday, Hey, let's figure out what our favorite
- 19:08Speaker 9: play of tyrants was at LSU.
- 19:10Speaker 7: And I'm watching these plays and you were so right.
- 19:14Speaker 7: It's like it was.
- 19:17Speaker 9: It seemed like every single week he was making a
- 19:20Speaker 9: play that like you'd never seen before. Yeah, like you'd
- 19:24Speaker 9: never seen a player make that type of play. And
- 19:27Speaker 9: it's two minutes and eighteen seconds of those types of plays.
- 19:31Speaker 9: It's like, okay, yeah, I mean most like most great
- 19:34Speaker 9: players if you make a little highlight film and this
- 19:35Speaker 9: isn't like like ten seconds before the snap. This is
- 19:39Speaker 9: like post snap of the football, like real short clips. Yeah,
- 19:43Speaker 9: it's two minutes and eighteen seconds of him making unbelievable
- 19:46Speaker 9: plays that like these eyes had never really witnessed before
- 19:50Speaker 9: he made them, and he made them routinely, multiple per game.
- 19:57Speaker 9: I'm like, I'm watching West Virginia just showed out there
- 19:59Speaker 9: where he that's the ball down, it tips up, he
- 20:01Speaker 9: catches the score. I mean, the play making ability that
- 20:07Speaker 9: he had is will be We'll go down in history
- 20:09Speaker 9: a second to absolutely nobody. No, these highlights will are timeless,
- 20:14Speaker 9: and people fifty years from now that are playing the
- 20:18Speaker 9: game at probably a much higher level than most people
- 20:20Speaker 9: are now, just because that's the way sports progresses are
- 20:23Speaker 9: going to look.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Back at this and be like, who the hell is
- 20:26Speaker 2: that guy?
- 20:27Speaker 7: Hey, this guy's.
- 20:28Speaker 9: Unbelievable, And what you talked about, like is his exit
- 20:31Speaker 9: from LSU. And it's a good lesson for life, Like
- 20:35Speaker 9: if you live life with honesty, you take accountability and
- 20:39Speaker 9: your sincere about what you do, Like people get it,
- 20:44Speaker 9: Like people understand that you make mistakes, especially kids, right,
- 20:48Speaker 9: especially college. Everybody makes mistake. Like if we got caught
- 20:51Speaker 9: for some of the things we don't, I mean, you
- 20:53Speaker 9: know what, there's nobody can like sit there in judgment.
- 20:57Speaker 7: Right, So if you're honest and.
- 20:59Speaker 9: You take accountability, people want to, Like people will welcome
- 21:02Speaker 9: you back and forgive you right, like for for that stuff.
- 21:05Speaker 9: I mean, he certainly earned it with like playmaking ability,
- 21:07Speaker 9: so I kind of had an unfair advantage there a
- 21:09Speaker 9: little bit, but like.
- 21:10Speaker 7: He just did things the right way, and then he
- 21:13Speaker 7: gets into.
- 21:13Speaker 9: The gets in the NFL, like you said, all pro
- 21:17Speaker 9: you know, just I mean a leader of the NFL
- 21:20Speaker 9: from a person standpoint right, never a distraction in a
- 21:24Speaker 9: bad way, like from a guy getting kicked off a
- 21:27Speaker 9: college football team.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Became a mentor exactly like every young player on every
- 21:32Speaker 2: team that he was on, and.
- 21:34Speaker 7: So in a sweet ass nickname.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I mean, maybe the best of all time. That's why
- 21:39Speaker 2: I was like he was a badger and a goat
- 21:41Speaker 2: at the same time. Like the LSU stuff is remarkable.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Even if his career would not have prologue, like if
- 21:49Speaker 2: you don't get to the NFL, right and it stops
- 21:51Speaker 2: at LSU, he still talked about. Yep, he's still the
- 21:55Speaker 2: honey Badger. He is still He forced eleven fumbles in
- 22:00Speaker 2: one season. Eleven I mean just wild stats when he
- 22:06Speaker 2: was at l s U uh, and he recovered eight
- 22:08Speaker 2: of him by the way of the ones he forced,
- 22:10Speaker 2: he recovered eight.
- 22:11Speaker 7: Of and probably scored on the majority of us.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean he had four interceptions, he had two
- 22:16Speaker 2: point return touchdowns. God knows how many tackles and sacks
- 22:20Speaker 2: and Haylo.
- 22:21Speaker 9: Can we cue up some highlights some I don't know
- 22:25Speaker 9: what the rules are. Yeah, I'm kind of trying. I
- 22:28Speaker 9: would love to play this one I'm watching.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Here, but so even if it even if it stopped.
- 22:34Speaker 2: But again, like the cool part about his story to
- 22:36Speaker 2: me is what he did and he held himself accountable
- 22:43Speaker 2: and finds his way into the NFL and you know,
- 22:48Speaker 2: doesn't get drafted the first or the second round, but
- 22:51Speaker 2: his talent was so undeniable. Was like, now we're still
- 22:52Speaker 2: going to take you in the third round and then
- 22:55Speaker 2: what he does from there because he wasn't just.
- 23:01Speaker 11: Like a guy in the NFL.
- 23:02Speaker 2: He was a dude. I don't think he was three
- 23:06Speaker 2: times first team All Pro.
- 23:10Speaker 7: That's hard to do.
- 23:11Speaker 2: He was on the All Decade team. Like Tyrone, you
- 23:15Speaker 2: make the first team All Pro three times and all
- 23:18Speaker 2: like he's gonna be in Canton maybe one day. I
- 23:23Speaker 2: mean three time first team All Pro he had in
- 23:28Speaker 2: his career. He had thirty six interceptions in his pro career,
- 23:33Speaker 2: returned four of those for touchdowns, had eleven sacks. Of course,
- 23:38Speaker 2: all he does is force fumbles, you know.
- 23:42Speaker 9: What's like, So his NFL career to me was real quiet,
- 23:46Speaker 9: like because it wasn't and.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Because I think it's I think because his college career
- 23:51Speaker 2: was so round.
- 23:52Speaker 9: Exactly so, but three time All Pro speaks volumes, that's
- 23:58Speaker 9: so hard.
- 23:58Speaker 7: It's so hard to do pro is.
- 24:02Speaker 9: So the Pro Bowl is a great award, but it
- 24:04Speaker 9: like it, it doesn't hold a candle to the honor
- 24:07Speaker 9: All Pro because you can, like there's the quarter there's
- 24:11Speaker 9: so many Pro Bowl quarterbacks because you know, the top
- 24:15Speaker 9: eight didn't want to go and so you know nine
- 24:17Speaker 9: to fifteen got the invite. So like, but all Pro
- 24:21Speaker 9: is voted on believe by your about your peers. I
- 24:25Speaker 9: think it's a combination of peers, coaches, maybe AP I
- 24:29Speaker 9: don't remember, but I remember voting every single year in
- 24:31Speaker 9: the NFL, got to vote as a player, so like
- 24:35Speaker 9: it's it's a big honor.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but each position grew, like we would vote. We'd
- 24:40Speaker 2: running backs, we voted for linebackers. Yeah, yeah, it's all pro. Yeah, yep, yep, yep.
- 24:44Speaker 9: So we would as QB's, we'd vote for a I
- 24:46Speaker 9: think we'd vote for the whole defense probably, yeah, but
- 24:50Speaker 9: that But like I said, I thought his pro career
- 24:53Speaker 9: was kind of quiet. He just did his job and
- 24:57Speaker 9: was really good at it. And shout out to one
- 25:02Speaker 9: of the greatest of all time, certainly in an LSU uniform,
- 25:06Speaker 9: an absolute legend, did things the right way, and like
- 25:12Speaker 9: you said was absolute must see TV every single weekend.
- 25:18Speaker 9: Just made plays that like like.
- 25:21Speaker 7: We're in the NFL.
- 25:22Speaker 9: They were jaw dropping plays, not just from us because
- 25:26Speaker 9: we're LSU fans, but everybody on the team. Charles Woodson, Yeah,
- 25:29Speaker 9: what what look at this guy.
- 25:32Speaker 2: It's like, Oh, tell me about this guy. Tell me
- 25:35Speaker 2: about this guy. And Tata and another sun. Well there's
- 25:39Speaker 2: one saying he's not a Hall of Famer.
- 25:43Speaker 7: I mean, so it's all it's a great art. I mean,
- 25:45Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 25:46Speaker 2: You make three three time All Pro like that first
- 25:50Speaker 2: team that's important. First team, and you make an All
- 25:53Speaker 2: Decade team and he's got the comparison up with Troy
- 25:57Speaker 2: Polamalo here. Yeah, the more interceptions, more exceptions for touchdowns,
- 26:03Speaker 2: right around the same amount of sacks, which I honestly
- 26:06Speaker 2: I would not have guessed that. More tackles, uh, more
- 26:09Speaker 2: fumble recoveries.
- 26:11Speaker 7: How many seasons is this? I wonder what their season?
- 26:15Speaker 2: A little bit more games there for I would not
- 26:17Speaker 2: have guessed. The more games either kind of shows you. Yeah,
- 26:21Speaker 2: like take Pro Bowl out of it, like Pro Bowl
- 26:23Speaker 2: means not a whole lot. All Pro four times, Troy
- 26:28Speaker 2: was All Pro six times now defensive Player of the Year.
- 26:32Speaker 2: That's a biggie for you. That's Troy was flashy like
- 26:35Speaker 2: but but Troy, you have to understand, like we're Troy
- 26:40Speaker 2: was a no doubt first ballot Hall of Famer though,
- 26:45Speaker 2: and these numbers are very comparable, and tyrants got him
- 26:48Speaker 2: beaten some categories. So remember and you can get in
- 26:51Speaker 2: on your second, third, fourth to.
- 26:54Speaker 9: Show you like, good team usually means better and more
- 26:58Speaker 9: personal individual awards and accolades. Right, So the Steelers at
- 27:04Speaker 9: that time, I mean they were making super Bowl runs
- 27:07Speaker 9: and big deep playoffriends, big Ben. They just had a
- 27:09Speaker 9: lot of a lot of cameras, a lot of hype
- 27:12Speaker 9: to them.
- 27:13Speaker 11: And Troy take anything away, Yeah, it was hell of
- 27:17Speaker 11: a player, like he should be.
- 27:18Speaker 2: But like the point is tiring compares with a Troy Pale,
- 27:22Speaker 2: Like I said, I mean maybe it was. Maybe he's
- 27:26Speaker 2: a Hall of Famer. If he's not, I don't know
- 27:28Speaker 2: what they look like then, I mean, we like, have
- 27:32Speaker 2: any you played against a bunch of them? I played
- 27:34Speaker 2: against a bunch of them, and you know what it
- 27:37Speaker 2: looks like. He looks like a Hall of Fame.
- 27:40Speaker 9: When did the seven number seven jersey start?
- 27:44Speaker 2: I believe Peterson was first honeybatter. He was the first recipient. Yeah,
- 27:50Speaker 2: so he was like you Yeah, many have said yeah,
- 27:55Speaker 2: me and tired one and you were like the second
- 27:58Speaker 2: eighteen in this and he was the second seventh seven
- 28:01Speaker 2: Look at y'all actually kind of the first though, Yeah,
- 28:04Speaker 2: I mean brothers to get it passed down, you know.
- 28:07Speaker 7: Hell yeah, so let me ask me.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Look, our senior years were very or last year, I
- 28:12Speaker 2: guess I should say we're very comparable. I also finished
- 28:15Speaker 2: Fifth Night.
- 28:17Speaker 7: I hate myself for asking this question? Can I ask it? Though?
- 28:20Speaker 7: Did Gary Danielson give him his nickname?
- 28:25Speaker 2: Hmmm?
- 28:27Speaker 7: Man?
- 28:27Speaker 9: He famously came from the video of the actual honey
- 28:31Speaker 9: Badger animal.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like you know.
- 28:33Speaker 7: What honey Badger doesn't give him? Yeah, a great video.
- 28:36Speaker 9: I wish we could play it, got the curse words.
- 28:39Speaker 9: I think maybe there's like a tame version of it.
- 28:43Speaker 9: But was it Gary Danielson that gave him the nickname?
- 28:46Speaker 5: I don't actually know where that.
- 28:49Speaker 2: I think so good both retired.
- 28:52Speaker 9: I even think I think he said it on a
- 28:55Speaker 9: broadcast and he's like, he's like the honey Badger.
- 28:58Speaker 7: He didn't care.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Yeah, he didn't. I like that. I mean, why does
- 29:02Speaker 2: it matter if that was scary? You got somebody gets scary.
- 29:04Speaker 7: I mean, does who likes scary? I do Why he's.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Always been He's always been nice to me.
- 29:10Speaker 9: Why, Okay, I guess, I mean I think that's a
- 29:14Speaker 9: I don't know if a lot of people agree with
- 29:16Speaker 9: you in this.
- 29:18Speaker 7: Area of the country.
- 29:19Speaker 2: I mean he was like he did not like me.
- 29:22Speaker 2: He was very nice to me.
- 29:23Speaker 9: I mean he was personally I don't care about personally. Yeah,
- 29:26Speaker 9: he's probably a great dude.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you know. You know who was like that and
- 29:32Speaker 2: people have a feel a certain type of way about him.
- 29:34Speaker 2: It's Chris Collingsworth was all like very like on a broadcast.
- 29:38Speaker 2: I don't know. He's a Florida guy, so I don't know.
- 29:40Speaker 2: I don't know how this happened, but he was always
- 29:44Speaker 2: very fair to me, like it would actually you know,
- 29:47Speaker 2: the tele prompter, like that's the full back right here,
- 29:50Speaker 2: the whole deal. So it's like everybody hates him. I'm like, yeah,
- 29:53Speaker 2: we hate that, love you, Chris.
- 29:55Speaker 9: I gotta tell you, Sunday Night Football needs the revamp,
- 30:01Speaker 9: all right. So like so we're just gonna give Jack
- 30:03Speaker 9: collins Worth a job.
- 30:07Speaker 11: We don't have anything against neo babies here listen, I'm
- 30:10Speaker 11: just one of that.
- 30:11Speaker 9: I mean, Bob said it all time Sunday Night Football,
- 30:14Speaker 9: like the pregame and leading up to, like the the
- 30:17Speaker 9: actual broadcast is good, I do. I like, I think
- 30:20Speaker 9: Chris Collins does a good job. He's like, that's the
- 30:24Speaker 9: voice I I recognize, Like that's that's good.
- 30:27Speaker 7: But the pre stuff is awful. It's awful.
- 30:31Speaker 2: So yeah, the pre game, the pregame.
- 30:35Speaker 9: Stuff, and like the lead, like what are we doing?
- 30:37Speaker 9: Why are we giving Jack collins Worth the job? Like
- 30:39Speaker 9: what's he's not dynamic?
- 30:40Speaker 2: He hurts you.
- 30:41Speaker 7: I don't know, just I watched it.
- 30:42Speaker 2: I'm like, man, I obviously I love Maria Taylor.
- 30:45Speaker 7: She's great.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Yees, she is great, very nice human being, very nice,
- 30:48Speaker 2: like incredibly nice. But you're saying Jack, everybody catch his hands, catchy.
- 30:54Speaker 2: That's what you're that's what it feels like. But what
- 30:57Speaker 2: do you do to get that? A quick internet search
- 30:59Speaker 2: says it wasn't a teammate, an announcer, or a fan.
- 31:03Speaker 2: It was John Chavis, who the former defense coordinator. He
- 31:07Speaker 2: gave it to who gave Honey Badger his nickname, and
- 31:11Speaker 2: that and again, this is the Internet, it's always facts, right, Yeah,
- 31:16Speaker 2: he says, this is your new nickname, Honey Badger. Trust me,
- 31:18Speaker 2: go with it. You'll make a lot of money one day.
- 31:21Speaker 7: I don't believe that.
- 31:22Speaker 9: I don't believe that. I don't do you think John
- 31:26Speaker 9: Jay the Future like that.
- 31:28Speaker 2: I'm just telling you that that's what it says after
- 31:30Speaker 2: the game in twenty eleven against West Virginia that he
- 31:35Speaker 2: showed him the YouTube video that we're talking about, and
- 31:39Speaker 2: it says that's who gave Honey Badger the nickname.
- 31:44Speaker 11: Hmm Okay, I don't know if it's true, but it's not.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Gary Danielson's my point, all right.
- 31:50Speaker 8: I think we need to get Tyron on the phone
- 31:52Speaker 8: and ask him.
- 31:52Speaker 5: I got a uh let's cold call him text from
- 31:55Speaker 5: uh buddy I know who like does who works for
- 31:58Speaker 5: Grid Aaron Football, So like, okay, you know he said
- 32:00Speaker 5: that you had heard it was also.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Okay, that's too, all right, that's two. That's too.
- 32:04Speaker 9: I'm getting a lot of people in the chat just
- 32:07Speaker 9: saying Tiger Droppings gave it to him.
- 32:08Speaker 2: That's also our guy Michael Cobble just texted me he
- 32:11Speaker 2: said that Tiger Droppings also was probably.
- 32:15Speaker 7: Somebody sad story there.
- 32:16Speaker 2: J A.
- 32:17Speaker 7: D in the chat said a poster called Mike Linebacker.
- 32:22Speaker 7: Do you think that's just this guy?
- 32:23Speaker 8: Yeah, that's Mike Linebackers trying to take credit for you.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:27Speaker 7: Smart, smart, trying to give himself a shout out.
- 32:31Speaker 9: All right, let's take a break in lifetime post he
- 32:34Speaker 9: has yes one.
- 32:36Speaker 2: I want to continue talking about Tying because he's not
- 32:39Speaker 2: just the one segment career again, like you could just
- 32:42Speaker 2: break it up what he did at LSU, what he
- 32:44Speaker 2: did in the NFL Super Bowl, champion coming back home,
- 32:48Speaker 2: finishing his career in New Orleans. He doesn't have to
- 32:51Speaker 2: wear that uniform that they announced yesterday. Now that's a
- 32:54Speaker 2: win as well. So all of that coming back your
- 32:57Speaker 2: way when we jump back on O TV.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Alright, go to All Star toy at Vnrouge dot com,
- 33:04Speaker 2: All Star toyf vtrouge dot Com. Buying, new, leasing, renting.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Everything is available in all three processes that we talk about.
- 33:13Speaker 2: So a lot of times you might get three options
- 33:17Speaker 2: if you're renting. Maybe if you're leasing, you get one
- 33:20Speaker 2: in each category. You certainly don't get everything. It is
- 33:23Speaker 2: just like you were buying a brand new vehicle. Now,
- 33:25Speaker 2: if you want to buy a new vehicle, now's a
- 33:27Speaker 2: great time and go check out all the savings they
- 33:30Speaker 2: have on the website. But no matter what you're doing,
- 33:33Speaker 2: we say it every single day because it is factual buying, leasing, renting,
- 33:36Speaker 2: All Star Toytefvattanrouge dot com is the only place to go.
- 33:39Speaker 7: Yeah, if you're thinking about getting a new car, I
- 33:41Speaker 7: gotta tell you all. I've told you the story.
- 33:43Speaker 9: Like when I was growing up, My two older sisters
- 33:45Speaker 9: both had Toyotas as their first car when they turned sixteen.
- 33:48Speaker 9: Why because they're safe, they're reliable, and they're trustworthy. So
- 33:52Speaker 9: go see all of their fleet, everything they got, whether
- 33:55Speaker 9: it's big, little, fast, well, whatever it is, go see them.
- 33:58Speaker 7: Go see I think now.
- 33:59Speaker 12: All Star toy to them at Rouge dot com.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Tigers turn talkers. This is off the bench.
- 34:41Speaker 2: All right, welcome back here O TV one four five
- 34:43Speaker 2: ESPN baton Rouge. As I said, Tyer Matthew is not
- 34:48Speaker 2: one segment, probably not two, Probably gonna be more like three,
- 34:52Speaker 2: could be four or five.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Uh.
- 34:54Speaker 2: He decides to hang up the cleats yesterday. He is
- 34:57Speaker 2: going to retire and can't wait to see what is
- 35:00Speaker 2: in his future, because well, he can pretty much do
- 35:02Speaker 2: whatever he wants. He's probably gonna be highly successful. But
- 35:07Speaker 2: we can't talk about the honey Badger. We can't talk
- 35:09Speaker 2: about the career that he had and not play some
- 35:12Speaker 2: of our favorite highlights. And so I don't know how
- 35:15Speaker 2: long this is going to go, but we wanted to
- 35:17Speaker 2: play some. So here they are.
- 35:19Speaker 10: It's amazing. Now play football for three years and Tyron Matthew.
- 35:24Speaker 6: You can talk about him all day.
- 35:26Speaker 13: Daryl in your coverage, but then you make a great interception.
- 35:31Speaker 10: Wow, So tadahell TikTok only three times all season in
- 35:42Speaker 10: his six games a quarterback, he's thrown three interceptions today.
- 35:48Speaker 10: How you fans he befriended during his club's digit It's
- 35:52Speaker 10: an auful hospital.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Probably this week.
- 35:54Speaker 10: Here's Tyron Matthew after the big hit.
- 35:57Speaker 3: He takes it in.
- 36:00Speaker 13: See the hit by Tyron Matthew right there, knocks the
- 36:02Speaker 13: ball loose, then just picks the pocket. What a fantastic game,
- 36:10Speaker 13: he said.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Hudson Frelo Barner is back deep again for the Ducks
- 36:14Speaker 3: and this is a beautiful punt back to the fifteen,
- 36:18Speaker 3: running backwards loose pre ball touchdown.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Hell USU.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Matthew picks it up and runs in and Lsu strikes.
- 36:28Speaker 6: Tell you something.
- 36:28Speaker 5: When you need a play, you turn to your.
- 36:30Speaker 14: Playmaker, Matthew, who last year is a fression that made
- 36:33Speaker 14: to happen. It gets off to a huge start here
- 36:35Speaker 14: as a sophomore campaign.
- 36:37Speaker 11: Backfield well West Virginia.
- 36:40Speaker 3: You know, under pressure, completes it. The battle for the
- 36:44Speaker 3: first down and taken away by Matthew.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Matthew stripped him game.
- 36:50Speaker 14: I really think he's the closest thing to Ed Reed
- 36:52Speaker 14: that we have. He's a corner, but he plays nickelback.
- 36:54Speaker 14: They execute, they've hit the pass. It looks like they
- 36:57Speaker 14: have a chance. Anytime you fight for extra yards again,
- 37:00Speaker 14: it's this defense. They're going to go after the football
- 37:02Speaker 14: and Matthew strips it out of there for the Tigers
- 37:04Speaker 14: to get the football back.
- 37:06Speaker 3: And the Starks was the receiver. I look at that's
- 37:08Speaker 3: what you see on Sunday football. I mean, he took
- 37:11Speaker 3: it away. Do you remember, folks, whre you watching again?
- 37:14Speaker 14: Make him throw short Matthew deflected, picked up Matthews down
- 37:20Speaker 14: to about the one yard line. Matthew, he comes on
- 37:25Speaker 14: the blitz, recognizes the place.
- 37:27Speaker 11: Smacks it puts it up into the air.
- 37:29Speaker 13: And if you're an LSU.
- 37:30Speaker 14: Fan, you've been seeing this now since he was a
- 37:32Speaker 14: freshman last year.
- 37:33Speaker 2: You're used to this. I got news for you.
- 37:35Speaker 14: College football needs to pay attention to number seven at LSU.
- 37:39Speaker 14: He's one of the most dynamic playmakers in all of
- 37:42Speaker 14: college football. I keep using the comparison ed Reid.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Lost football. Matthew will score. The guy just makes plays
- 37:58Speaker 2: that there's ever a year it's tyn He's just victorious.
- 38:08Speaker 11: I mean we could goose bumps literally the rest of
- 38:12Speaker 11: the hour.
- 38:16Speaker 2: So that that Kentucky one at the end is probably
- 38:18Speaker 2: my favorite because he blitzed off the edge with such
- 38:23Speaker 2: bad intentions, like he was like purpose was focused on
- 38:29Speaker 2: the football, knocks it out and it goes the other
- 38:32Speaker 2: and then he picks it up. But the A and
- 38:34Speaker 2: M one in the Cotton Bowl. I forgot about that
- 38:36Speaker 2: play me too.
- 38:37Speaker 5: That's why the game I started with that play like
- 38:40Speaker 5: that was about a minute and a half. Yeah, yeah,
- 38:42Speaker 5: because I'm like, that's when that's when Tyran Matthew became
- 38:45Speaker 5: who he is.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Like he had the pick.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Later in the game, he had the scoop and the score.
- 38:49Speaker 5: That was the last Game of the Year like that.
- 38:50Speaker 5: That's why I started with that one, because like I
- 38:53Speaker 5: mean that that was the beginning.
- 38:55Speaker 9: So that highlight film that you pulled up, it was
- 38:57Speaker 9: like five or six minutes we watched what a minute
- 38:59Speaker 9: and a half there, ninety They saw like six plays.
- 39:02Speaker 9: One of those plays by anybody in college football like
- 39:05Speaker 9: makes their career.
- 39:06Speaker 7: Oh yeah right, Like you do one.
- 39:07Speaker 9: Of those plays in a big moment like that, They're like,
- 39:10Speaker 9: that's a highlight forever.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Yeah, like playing in the stadium, that one highlight every
- 39:15Speaker 2: time they do a you know, like a little montage
- 39:17Speaker 2: of top plays, let's do it.
- 39:19Speaker 7: Yeah, it's great.
- 39:20Speaker 11: They had seven of them in ninety seconds. Probably, Like we.
- 39:23Speaker 9: Look back at Patrick Peterson's career, Yeah, we looked back
- 39:25Speaker 9: some part returns, but it's that it's that one interception
- 39:27Speaker 9: on the sideline that we always see inst Alabama. Yeah,
- 39:30Speaker 9: that's like an incredible play from one of the greatest
- 39:33Speaker 9: players ever put on an ls U helmet. Yeah, but
- 39:36Speaker 9: the Honey Badger's got yeah thirty I mean right, I
- 39:40Speaker 9: mean plays just like that his freshman year changing fourteen.
- 39:44Speaker 2: You know, nobody really knew who he was out. I mean,
- 39:48Speaker 2: they couldn't even say he tackles a tied end, it
- 39:54Speaker 2: got much bigger than him and on the way to
- 39:56Speaker 2: the ground is like, yeah, I'll take the ball as well.
- 39:58Speaker 2: I'm just gonna go score ye from foremost, I.
- 40:01Speaker 5: Mean, like some of those the best plays, like the
- 40:04Speaker 5: part return against Arkansas which was huge LS. She was
- 40:06Speaker 5: down fourteen nothing at that point. Arkansas's ranked like eighth,
- 40:10Speaker 5: like they're really good. Here's the part return. I think
- 40:13Speaker 5: LSU scored like forty straight points. I mean thought it
- 40:16Speaker 5: was the moments that he made the play.
- 40:17Speaker 9: Tipping it up to himself in a moment like that,
- 40:20Speaker 9: like that's that's a great way to play.
- 40:21Speaker 7: Like he made the plays in the moments.
- 40:23Speaker 5: Georgia game in the SEC Championship, you didn't have anything
- 40:26Speaker 5: going offensively. He returns to the punt again, you go
- 40:29Speaker 5: like thirty straight points.
- 40:30Speaker 7: Yeah, the doors wasn't.
- 40:31Speaker 9: Just doing it like making these highlights and you know
- 40:35Speaker 9: second quarter gets. I mean, well every time I got dog,
- 40:40Speaker 9: you say it all the time. I never called you
- 40:42Speaker 9: out for it, Just trying to make a point, trying
- 40:45Speaker 9: to read dog.
- 40:46Speaker 11: Look at that good dogs threeing great, that's a bull dog.
- 40:50Speaker 7: Don't even know what that is.
- 40:51Speaker 8: How are you even doing that with your fingers?
- 40:52Speaker 2: The ball you got?
- 40:54Speaker 5: It's similar, doesn't he?
- 40:56Speaker 10: Well?
- 40:58Speaker 7: This you love doing a full dog? So they do this? Yes,
- 41:06Speaker 7: I get it. Dogs like the ears. I go, yeah,
- 41:08Speaker 7: they what do they do with their thumb? Just wrap it.
- 41:10Speaker 2: I felt like there was a shot at me too,
- 41:11Speaker 2: because my longest run was against Louisian Tech.
- 41:14Speaker 9: Wow, I mean an unintentional, brilliant shot just because I mean,
- 41:19Speaker 9: your biggest highlight is you flipping the ball over your
- 41:21Speaker 9: head to a kicker.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Does it mean that you got to throw it straight
- 41:25Speaker 2: at me? It's a good eyelight though I was, I
- 41:29Speaker 2: was on the field.
- 41:30Speaker 9: Someone recently asked me like, hey, how long did you
- 41:32Speaker 9: work on that? Like two years?
- 41:34Speaker 2: All the times for years years. God less love practice
- 41:40Speaker 2: than that play.
- 41:41Speaker 11: He loved it, never candy.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Never did I think we would run it.
- 41:45Speaker 7: Though, No, no, no, no, no shot.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Ever then it became like He's like, hey, I'm gonna
- 41:52Speaker 2: run it all the time, even if the holder bounces
- 41:55Speaker 2: it to the kicker. And then yeah, then twenty eleven happened.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Then you couldn't make mad had it and didn't do
- 42:02Speaker 2: those things anymore. They they scarred him, they did oh
- 42:07Speaker 2: for sure, Bob in that offense, we said, all like,
- 42:12Speaker 2: have we had fake punts? We had fake field goals?
- 42:15Speaker 2: We just go for it's fourth and then changed but
- 42:23Speaker 2: from like five O six, O seven all the way
- 42:26Speaker 2: up to eleven.
- 42:27Speaker 7: It was crazy.
- 42:29Speaker 2: So oh really, all right, man, say break more O

- 44:07Speaker 11: Obviously talking a lot of Tyron Matthew here in now
- 44:09Speaker 11: number one.
- 44:09Speaker 2: I will say the the Kentucky play, as I mentioned,
- 44:12Speaker 2: where he's blitzing off the backside strip, sack, fumble, scoop
- 44:18Speaker 2: score is my favorite Tyroann play. Do we have a
- 44:22Speaker 2: favorite tyrannt play?
- 44:23Speaker 7: Matthew? That was pretty good?
- 44:29Speaker 9: I like the I like the West Virginia jump to
- 44:33Speaker 9: the pass up. If he would have scored, I would
- 44:36Speaker 9: have said, yep, that's it. Yeah, he wasn't that graven athlete,
- 44:41Speaker 9: so he got tackled at the one. But like the
- 44:45Speaker 9: Taylor said that, it was the moments that he did it.
- 44:47Speaker 9: I like the Georgia true that probably was one, because
- 44:51Speaker 9: I distinctly remember watching that one. I don't remember watching
- 44:54Speaker 9: live all of them. I remember that one for sure.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Longer taite, Do we have a favorite tyroann play?
- 44:58Speaker 5: Might be the diving pick because a freshman, honestly, like,
- 45:01Speaker 5: that's when he burst on the scene. Either that or
- 45:03Speaker 5: the Arkansas port return.
- 45:05Speaker 6: The entire Georgia game is basically like a Tyron Matthew
- 45:08Speaker 6: highlight reel, like the entire game, but the punt return
- 45:12Speaker 6: whenever he scored on that was awesome, Like, Tyro Matthew
- 45:17Speaker 6: is my favorite LSU player besides you and I mean,
- 45:23Speaker 6: and he's like, he really really got me into l
- 45:27Speaker 6: s U football and stuff.
- 45:28Speaker 11: So yeah, shoutout.
- 45:33Speaker 2: It was after me. That's that's how he played. And
- 45:36Speaker 2: so yeah, hell of a career. Certainly one of the
- 45:39Speaker 2: greats of all time. Here, one of the greatest single
- 45:42Speaker 2: seasons of all time in college football history, and he
- 45:45Speaker 2: is going to end with a gold jacket. Truly truly
