- Jaba: Hello everybody and welcome back to the Scout and the Speculator Podcast. This is Will Jarvis, also known as Jabba Cards, joined as always by my co-host Jeremy Brown of Perfect Game Baseball, more importantly known as JGB underscore cards underscore. It's a fresh week today, it's October 26th, and we are back to bring you a Bowman Chrome buy-sell hold. We're gonna continue doing these weekly, even if we're not doing the price checks, at least in the same level of detail. Now that things have stabilized, but we're gonna start doing a weekly buy-sell hold for Bowman Chrome. And then we're gonna do one for the AFL every week as well. So this is the first part of that. I think we'll do the AFL one tomorrow, I believe. But yeah, we got three three exciting names here for our buy-sell hold. it's three guys we've talked about a good bit. I think that that's definitely a trend in these. I think it's mostly guys that we've talked about at length trying to keep it pretty relevant to, you know, bigger names. And the buy is especially interesting because it's a guy that I know I personally bought early on. Prices crashed and now looking at it in hindsight, it's easy to see why I was wrong to buy it early. However, at the current price It's now a good buy, it's over corrected too much. So with jheremy: Yeah. Jaba: more on that, I will kick it over to Jeremy to talk about our buy this week. jheremy: So you might be able to have a may have alluded to it or who it might be. And it's gonna be Slater de Brun. And yet Jaba: Little slag. jheremy: like you bought him early. You as a guy you were convicted on early with the bat to ball Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: skills, the physicality, like was super young at draft coming out of high school, was a no name all throughout, this, that, the other, right? He had a lot going for him. the market just didn't really follow, I guess, with it. Like he is a speed first kind of guy, speed first, contact first. Power is non existent right now. But he did hit for Juice in high school. He hit for some power on the national circuit. it's in there. Is it just a swing swing adjustment away from taking that next jump? Is it, you know, he lost most of last year due to injury? Like he didn't play until July. Does he just need more reps? Does he need to get used to playing pro baseball? He signed for four million bucks. Obviously got traded in that big Tampa deal where you know, they just absolutely fleeced them for Shane Boz, but that's neither here nor Jaba: Yeah, that was jheremy: there. really not a whole lot to glean from it. Put the ball on the put the barrel on the ball, put the ball in the air quite a bit. What was he at? He was like a f what was he a forty five percent fly ball rate? Like yeah, so like put and it was Jaba: forty-two in the complex. Eleven in single A. jheremy: such a small sample size that like there's really not a whole lot to glean from it. So Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: You're buying almost on his past laurels and s what we've seen. But like you said, for an eight dollar and seventy cent base auto, you're pricing him like one of these seventeen year old DSL players who had a couple of good weeks down there. And Jaba: And has flaws. He's not even priced like the you know, the best guys. He's priced jheremy: Whoa. Jaba: like those kinda like Elian Rosario where there's like legitimate concerns. He's not priced like, you know, the Frontados, Serrano's, Solartes where it's like like there's jheremy: Yeah. even Louis Andah. Jaba: yeah. jheremy: Like I'm upstairs this week if you guys can't tell with the dogs and they're barking, so that's fun. but like that's Jaba: They're saying bye Slater. jheremy: exactly what she's saying. I mean, it just is like you have that small muscular profile. We've seen this archetype before, right? With slade calls. Well, and you can keep you can find basically any smaller physical outfielder you can put it on him. If you want to go as far back as to say Corbin Carroll, Corbin Carroll also hits what 20 home runs a year. So we'll have to see what happens there. Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: but realistically for the price of what you're getting him at, and that's an average meaning you can probably get a couple even cheaper than that. Like his color Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: I know has come down a little bit. he does Jaba: For sure. jheremy: have a personality. Does like he he's I don't know I I think there's just enough there to keep him more than just hobby relevant in the back of your mind tools wise. I guess it's really just time for him to show it. And I mean, if he just comes out with that one swing adjustment, fixes kind of his attack angle and starts putting the ball in the air more than well, his eleven percent in a ball, I think you should should start seeing what we love most in Bowman and that's power. Jaba: Yeah, and I I think the big thing here obviously the power's not there. I'm not gonna try to sugarcoat things and say, well, X, Y, and Z pointed to that not being realistic. The power is definitely a concern, but like the contact rate was at eighty eight percent, four and a half percent swinging strike rate. I I mean he's really not swinging and missing, and it's not like it's saying, Okay, well he has an okay hit tool and no power that's Pretty advanced stuff in terms of the approach. jheremy: Mm. Jaba: The hit tool is very good right now. I'm sure that that swinging strike rate, he's one where you'd probably like to see it go up a little bit in terms of kind of selling out for a little bit more power. rather than kind of the Luis Arrayas approach where you're just getting a bat on everything. And like you said, he's an athletic guy, he's a center fielder with a gun of an arm. when you were talking about kind of his a off the field personality. With his rapping career, it jheremy: Mm. Jaba: it really just feels to me like like a poor man's Max Clark. And I know that Max Clark had the whole, you know, sixty-grade, seventy-grade MLB defensive center fielder kind of from the jump, but I'm not saying that they're the same player, but I feel like the electric, hard on the sleeve style of play as well as the big personality. It's a likable guy. I know Max Clark, you can debate that. I know that you have also said that he's a really good kid. but with Slater, I mean it it's just that thing where it's like, okay, this is an electric player, he's impacting the game. his stolen bases were nuts this year. I know in the playoffs he like stealing home. He was just running wild. I I mean, really impacting the game with his speed to a point where it's clearly impacting pitchers, it's impacting the game around him. And yeah, like I kind of said in the lead in. When I was buying him at probably like a thirty dollar base auto multiple for color, that was bad. I think jheremy: Hmm hmm. Jaba: I ignored how bad the power was and kinda talked myself into it. And that's something in the future I need to be more brutally honest with myself on. But at eight seventy I I think it's over corrected too much. I think this is a guy who should jheremy: Yeah. Jaba: be at fifteen fifteen to twenty dollars. if you have a bunch, I probably wouldn't buy more. If you have a bunch that you're kinda sitting on a loss on like I am. But if you don't have any of I would love to get in at this at this cost basis. jheremy: Yeah. Jaba: I think if you're starting a stash, I think you're in an awesome spot. I also think that I talk about it all the time. He's just a guy, I mean he's at eight seventy. How how low could he go next year? Five dollars? jheremy: Right. Jaba: And he would he would probably have to not play. The one thing I will jheremy: Yeah. Jaba: say before we move on, seems like he had a wrist injury last year. Do you think and I I'm not saying that that's why it wasn't Barry Bonds and next year he's just gonna be smoking balls, but has someone who sees these younger players, I'm sure you've seen every kind of injury, do you think that the wrist could kind of give him a bit a pass? And I'm not trying to go back into my initial mindset here and just hand wave the lack of power. It's definitely something that needs to be watched and concerning. But do you think a wrist injury is something where You should be taking that into account to some degree and saying, Okay, well jheremy: Yeah. there's always right? you go do anything. If you like anything you do and go get hurt in your everyday life, you're gonna be a little hesitant to go use it again at full force right away. Now just Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: imagine a wrist trying to turn around a hundred mile an hour fastball. like we had exit velos of him, let's see what we had like in in game or in VPs. Like he hammered baseballs on the circuit as a rising senior, like Hit a couple home runs at our biggest event, biggest tournament of the summer. he was hitting balls in BP as a his the C the summer between his junior and senior year, north of a hundred miles an hour in BP. had one 102 in-game. Like the V Exit Villa was there in high school, and you have to imagine he got stronger in the two plus year sense, ran a six three like in Jaba: Right. jheremy: high school. Like there were things there for sure, like where the ball just behaves off the barrel a little differently given what Jaba: Right. jheremy: his physicality profile is. But yeah, to if a kid's a little hesitant to let it rip right away, can you blame him? if I stub Jaba: For sure. jheremy: my toe I'm I'm limping for a week. So I could only imagine messing up a wrist and kind of, you know, just going back to back to normal like nothing. Especially Jaba: Yeah, and I I I'm sure missing three months too, you're probably you know, they're probably playing it very safe with these guys not rushing back. But at the jheremy: Mm. Jaba: same time I'm sure he wasn't a hundred percent when he came back, and even if he was, it's not like he had kind of a spring training time to ramp into it and I'm sure it was in the back of his head the whole time 'cause then it's like, jheremy: Yeah. Jaba: if I re aggravate this, the whole winter's lost. And then I'm going jheremy: No doubt. Jaba: in it next year behind the eight ball. So I'm sure psychologically there was a lot at play there. Again, I'm not saying next year he's gonna come out and hit thirty homers, but like you said with his exit velos, it's it it's not like we're jheremy: It's there. Jaba: talking about a guy slapping at the baseball. big difference between that and like sixty grade power, but jheremy: Mm. Jaba: There there's something. It's not like there's nothing to say there's power potential, whatever it may be. But going into our hold here, you got anything else on Slater? You think we jheremy: I think we got it there. I something you said and it doesn't have to even do with Slater was just like this was a first release where I started buying right off the rip on buy it now prices that I thought were undervalued. I think it's kind of Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: important to keep in perspective. Like it's great to buy under value if you're gonna sell them right away. Like what I did was buy and now I'm holding them and now it's like, the market's corrected to where what I bought was a good price and now it's not. Like I got really good deals, but now w now I'm just stuck holding these cards where it's like, okay. So Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: I think come draft time, draft always seems to do better and hold better value anyway. But Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: I think it's still more of like you get that good deal, don't be afraid to let it rip and just move it. we did with Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: this we did that with the Solarte with our portfolio pal, which we haven't added anything to lately. I know a couple of people have asked. We'll get to it again. But actually getting cards in and getting them out right away is something I think I need to be a little more mindful of come next Bowman release. Jaba: Yeah, I I definitely echo that. I think, you know, I was pounding the drum going in on saying if you don't buy collar off the jump, you're not gonna get it, at least in gradable condition. I fully stand by that. I think that that's correct. jheremy: For sure. That's a hundred percent true. Jaba: But then In our grading episode I was talking, I was saying, okay, well, I basically take everything and try to resell it that isn't gradable. I'll just throw it on an eBay auction. My issue was I probably waited I kind of dragged my feet three or four weeks before I released those fish back into the market. I definitely lost more money than I would have. I think on average on the fifteen or so that I've sold back, I'm down like thirty percent on. which in terms of a percent isn't great, the dollar value it's not that bad, but jheremy: Right. Jaba: I I think you just gotta be swift, ruthless, and decisive. I I I think once you get it in, you're either grading it or selling it. I think if you're buying early, you're not buying early to hold, at least in a raw condition. I I think you have to get it in and say, Okay, I'm sitting down and looking at this in the next few days. It's either getting in a box, going to PSA, or it is going back on eBay, whether you want to buy now, float it on Instagram first or then auction it. I think you just got like e every day is really critical. I'm not jheremy: Yeah. Jaba: saying like drop your life and like ignore your family to get things out immediately. But jheremy: Hm. Right. Jaba: Looking back, I don't regret the strategy, but I do regret dragging my feet on something being like, well maybe and then you're just watching it drop. jheremy: Yeah. Jaba: it it's just gonna go down. So I I think that the strategy I feel even better about it now. If you look up most of these guys, true color, there's nothing and what there jheremy: Yeah. Jaba: is is, you know, two X comps at a by now. So I th I I think the the philosophy was correct. But I think even at the time I was saying you need to get out quickly, I didn't even really follow my own words there. And it jheremy: Mm-hmm. Jaba: hurt me. And I think that that is just as crucial a part of that equation as it is to get it early. You just need to be all over it and like swift, decisive, and ruthless, I said. So jheremy: Yeah, I'm looking through eBay real quick of just what was newly listed and it's all greens and reptilians and sparkles and shimmers, waves Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: and purples. there's no true blues, true golds, true oranges just readily going up. Except for a Jonatong Jaba: Right. jheremy: rookie for hundred and twenty five bucks gold. True Jaba: It jheremy: gold rookie auto. Jaba: It's ki it's kinda like you said, you were saying, Well, we haven't really added to portfolio pals lately. And it's like, okay, well our whole goal with that was to first and foremost get investment grade cards. So that's the jheremy: Mm-hmm. Jaba: high end true colour of guys we really like. Two, we obviously wanted to get it at a good price. And now we're not only really not seeing any of it available to buy, but when it comes up it's really not at a good price. And I think it's jheremy: No. Jaba: important for both of us that it not only fits one of those criteria, but both jheremy: Mm. Jaba: I think it's good that we haven't kind of dropped our criteria to kind of adding in third tier guys that we don't really believe in, but we're like, hey, this is a solid deal on a true gold. I think it's good jheremy: Mm-hmm. Jaba: that we're not doing that and kind of expanding our self-defined parameters. But at the same time, it also just goes to show you how fast that dries up. Cause the eight or so cards that we bought, that was all within the first month. And we haven't bought anything in what, three weeks? jheremy: Yep. Yeah, something like like yeah. Jaba: And e e even in the first month we were sending each other stuff just all day, like hey pals, pals. And ultimately we probably only bought like ten percent of the stuff. But like if any of those cards showed up now, we probably would buy it. Like i it just goes to jheremy: Yeah. It's just not a lot. Jaba: show you like it it's like you go from drinking out of fire hose really just to having nothing. yeah, that's pretty nuts. jheremy: Exactly. Yep. Anyhow, Jaba: But yeah, going good jheremy: tell us the hold for the week. Jaba: going into our hold, it's our our boy, another contact on base demon, Jaden Lowray. also nineteen, same same deal as Slater, obviously went a little bit later in the twenty twenty five draft in the fifth round. signed for only little over half a million. Started jheremy: Mm. Jaba: in the complex, was just far too good for the complex. He wasn't really slugging, but he had a one point nine percent swinging strike rate. in seventy six appearances. I mean he p he probably swung and missed at like three balls. went to single A. He was great. Hit three twenty five, eight eighty two OPS. It was definitely propped up by hitting three twenty five with a sixteen and a half percent walk rate, which is great. It's more just there wasn't meaningful power. He had two homers, eighteen extra base hits, a lot of doubles. He's also fast. I don't think he's Slater level fast, but he moves well, gets on base. only two minor leaguers last year. I'm I'm doing a Bob shout out to our guy Bob who's coming back on this week. Only two minor leaguers last year had a strikeout rate under ten percent and an on base percentage above four hundred. Jaden Lowray and Juniker Caseris. I think everyone knows how much we love Juniker. Low Ray, actually Actually was better than Caseris in both those categories, too. I know Caceris got pushed. They both played in high A. I think Caceris got pushed a little earlier, and Caceres is younger by a year. But Low Ray, in terms of getting the bat on the ball, getting on base, Low Ray is right there with Junicker. Stole a lot of bases. Played at third, short, second base, center field. The ISO did go up as you went up in each level. Complex was 108, single A 118. 132, none of those are ideal numbers, but it's better than going down, and it's just it's not the kind of power production we just talked about with Slater. That's not gonna drive major excitement in the hobby. And we were saying before we hit record. low rays in that tier with like Delees, Azakar, Dos Santos, kind of those guys. And I jheremy: Mm. Jaba: don't think it's unfair to slot him in below those guys, just given their power potential and what they've shown. Like at 26 bucks, he's a little bit ahead a little bit behind Azakar. I agree with that. Deleise is still $15, which is insane. Not gonna get into that because that'll dominate the podcast. But The two other nineteen year olds in Chrome who reached single air high were Daryl Morrell and Ramiro Dominguez. They're both trading right around five bucks. twenty-six thirteen, we like Low Ray, but we're just calling him a hold there because compared to his peers being that group of Azagard, Delis, Dos Santos, those guys, he's not quite there with the power, which keeps him from being a buy, but I think he's a stronghold. I wouldn't sell anything of his. And if he shows any power next year, I think you gotta be ready to jump all over that. What do you jheremy: Mm-hmm. Agree. Jaba: think about him? You got anything I didn't say? jheremy: No, he just he's always hit. Even as a prep, he just always hit. He was a safe bet, two hit. You could go look at the website. There's just articles of him scout recaps, notes of him just hitting. yeah, I mean again, it's it's kind of just echoing what we said with Slater. If he comes out at all, like and kind of puts in some of that work this offseason and all of a sudden he comes out at like five eleven, like two hundred pounds, and he's just smashing baseballs. I don't think it's gonna take much for his market to move in the positive direction because he already is a name. there's not many high school fifth rounders that come out with the type of Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: level of excitement that LowRay had prior to release. he was a chase name for a lot of people. Jaba: Yeah. Yeah, I mean how many of those guys hit hit how many of those guys hit high A outside of like the top jheremy: none. Especially after the top two rounds. Like it you don't see Jaba: Right. jheremy: it that quick. And he's done well everywhere he's gone. 290 and high A as a 19-year-old's pretty damn good with an 85% contact rate. Obviously, it's not the 95% he had in the complex, but he went three different stages all in a year after being drafted. it's a pretty good debut. And now if We again we take that step back and realize he's a nineteen year old. He's gonna be twenty all of next year. So hopefully that power comes. Even if it's like I don't know, if he can get to seven to ten home runs just to show that it's there. Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: It's the same thing we've done with Junaker where it's like, all right, he hit a few more this year. All right, it's starting to come. it should come. He's a nine eighteen year old now. And he just follows that natural progression. I don't know, if if you if he can get to fifteen homers before he debuts, I think that's Right where you would like that's a good spot for him, fifty Jaba: Yeah. That that's a easy top one hundred name. That's and yeah jheremy: Yep. Who can hit? Good good defender, good athlete, sure man. We'll take it. Jaba: Yeah, and like like you said with Juniker, I I think the thing you and I both loved about Juniker was with that hit tool, the the the floor on him was so high at a young age jheremy: Mm. Jaba: where it's like, okay, whether or not the power comes, like this guy's gonna move through the minors, this guy's probably gonna make the MLB, you know, he's gonna become a household name, and then it's just a matter of how good will he be at that level, and that's all dictated by the power. But it's like, okay, the hit tool isn't good, it's it's phenomenal and that's gonna carry him, that's gonna keep him moving. He's probably not gonna stall out at any level for a long time. But then it's just like, okay, do we have a Fourth outfielder, do we have a utility guy who kind of just slaps the ball around and gets on base? Or do we have like a starting first division corner outfielder here with a guy who can hit maybe hit fifteen twenty a year, hit two eighty, like I don't know, like a Carson Benj. Like you see how a guy like that impacts the game. None of his singular tools are I mean his arm is nuts. But like, you know, Benj is just a guy, you know, he's gonna hit two eighty with twenty home runs, and that's like a four five war player. That that that's maybe just shy of an all-star, but that's like a serious contributor to a winning team. And jheremy: Yeah. Jaba: I I think just having the high floor there is so valuable because you're not terrified that you're gonna go a month without checking his stats, and then you go look and he's hitting 173, and you know he's in the midst of a 0 for 26 with 15 strikeouts. Like you don't have to worry about that with him. And obviously, it comes at the disadvantage of not having the loudest power currently, but jheremy: Mm. Jaba: when I'm investing in call it a Chris Rodriguez type, I don't have any him. But I don't think that I have the cardiac capability for many reasons. jheremy: Ha. Jaba: I d I don't think I have it in me to be kinda just praying for home runs. I think there are plenty of good buys where that's the case, but it's like Orion Clifford, you see him get all the way to triple A where it's like, Yeah, the hit the the hit tool's shaky, it's gonna strike out, but there's gonna be a ton of power and then he was known for being streaky, and then this year it's just like a two month bad streak where there's just nothing you can pull from that. There's no, hey, well he's not striking out that much and you know, he's getting bad bit to death or hey, XYZ is wrong. that that's just why I like the guys with the good hit tools because E even if you're sacrificing a little ceiling, you don't have to worry about the wheels just entirely coming off. And I think if there are warning signs, it's a very slow kind of thing from him going to a exciting prospect to a meaningless guy. I th I I think you can kinda jump ship before everyone catches on, like, hey, this guy isn't that exciting anymore. jheremy: No doubt. Jaba: So, sorry, jheremy: Yeah. Jaba: I'm I'm chatty. I I haven't spoken to a human yet today besides the lady at Starbucks, which was lovely. Good people there. All right. Hit hit us with the cell. jheremy: Yeah. Love it. which brings us to our cell. Jarangelo Cinjay. And it's more of like all the extenuating circumstances that bring us to a cell. Like he was super famous heading into the product release. We've been waiting, what, five years it feels like, since he was drafted? I know it's only been since twenty twenty-four. But it feels like we everybody's like, is this a release? Is this a release? And we finally got the release. And then it was a redemption and they're not really trading all that often. Jaba: Yeah, w w which is pretty funny. jheremy: it's not trading all that often. So they're sitting around 50 bucks. And this is the last note we have. I'm gonna go to it right away. For fifty dollars and seventy cents you could have a cinche or for twenty nine dollars and seventy seven cents you could get a zazweta like base auto. I Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: I would take almost at two zazuetas to one girangelo every day of the week I think. So Jaba: If if it's even, who are you taking? jheremy: Durand Zazweta still. Like granted again, like the Cardinals fans do buy their prospects very well. And like we've Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: been waiting for this. Like everybody's been waiting. I think they truly dropped the boat, not giving him the his image variation as a first throwing left-handed. Like, I I think like Jaba: Yeah. Agreed. jheremy: that was completely a missed opportunity there. but like So he when when we started doing our previews way back when for Bowman Chrome, his numbers were horrific. he just he got promoted up to triple Jaba: Yeah. Yeah. jheremy: A after the All Star break and his first couple starts were just not good. sixteen runs and eighteen innings to sixteen walks and twenty one strikeouts. yeah, okay, he's gotta figure it out. And he figured it out because over his last seven starts, he struck out almost thirty percent of the hitters he faced to just eight percent walk. And like i it seemed like as we were previewing like other teams and divisions, we would do a check on Durangelo and it's like, he delivered again. he delivered again. And it just got to a point where like, all right, maybe he is a buy. And then it came out he was a redemption. It's like, I guess not, never mind. And that's kind of just where it is now is the redemption's propping up his price where it shouldn't be. Truly. I don't think any pitcher should be higher than Zazueta and for him to even be sub thirty bucks right now is pretty damn good. I don't know that there's many pitchers, period, that I'm spending fifty dollars on a base auto for already that haven't like a I don't know. Kate Anderson debuted. Ex exactly. Jaba: Yeah. I mean even Kendrichos like thirty five forty now. jheremy: would you rather a Gerangelo who's got a very short runway to the big leagues at fifty? Or would you want almost four Sad Bell Delzians, in a in an equally strong market with the Red Sox, who's only made it to A ball and has a whole year or two to still build up to a Bowman. Whereas Gerangelo is going to be in the big leagues at some point next year, probably pretty soon. And Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: I say all this not to like dump on Jarangelo at all because he is good and I I would buy some of him if he weren't where he was priced. Jaba: Agree. jheremy: I just think like it's gonna slowly keep trickling. the redemptions are live, so you're gonna start seeing a lot more of them start to get sold. I think people are a little hesitant to buy redemptions because you don't know if that's actually gonna be fulfilled. there's always that in the back of your mind. But now seeing Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: that his stuff is live, I think it's gonna help like ease the notion that people might think like, okay, we Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: can buy him, we can get going. Like I also think people Jaba: These exist. jheremy: I also just think people don't like shipping redemptions or buying redemptions, getting them shipped. just send me the code that's save on shipping, because Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: if you send a redemption and that redemption gets lost, that's it. there's no that card's gone. You don't have the code, that it is what it is. So Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: I so I think he's our sell based off just like not not talent related at all. Just everything else is making him a sell at this point. Whereas if he got down to that twenty, twenty five dollar range, he probably becomes a bye because he has such a short leash runway until he hits a big leagues, buy him and sell on the hype of the big league debut. So he's somebody I'll actually be watching to see if he does dip, because if he does get down below Zazweta, I think he becomes a bye pretty quick too, knowing that he's gonna debut and we can take advantage of that hype of him getting called up as an ambidextrous pitcher, the first one since Pat Van Ditti, all of that, right? So what do you got? Jaba: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I I I think it is important because when we were doing our previews, I think I especially was kinda I was very tough on him, which was fair given the results. But like you said, the splits. His his last seven stats, twenty nine percent K rate, seven and a half percent walk rate, just so, so improved. I'm still just not totally sold. I th I I think the swing and miss stuff is Good but not elite. I think the control still scares me a little. The advanced numbers definitely look better than the traditional metrics. But like you said, the it's just a short runway. I do think that he will Much like Susana, he's just gonna be plastered all over the place during spring training if jheremy: Mm. Jaba: he's pitching well. it's not as much of a shoein' as Susana, 'cause it's like all he had to do was go throw a one three. Like it it wasn't jheremy: Right. Jaba: even matter of how well he pitched. Sinche is gonna have to pitch well and get some steam. If he does get that steam, he's gonna be all over the place. But if he doesn't, you know, he won't. So I don't know. I think like you said, it it we're only going off eleven sales here. There there's just really no good data on it. I think once he hits three hundred plus cards sold, I think he'll probably be around twenty five bucks. And at that point you can kinda have the conversation, is he a buy, sell, hold all over again? Kinda similar to Slater, where we were like, okay, well when I was buying him at thirty, that was stupid. But now that he's at eight, he's fully readjusted, he's gone way past hold, and now he's back in the buy category. I think it's one to watch and keep track of, and I do think we have to remember jheremy: You know what? as stupid as it might be, I'm looking right now, a refractor just did fifty-six, a base did fifty-one, another speckle did fifty-five. So I would say they're on the decline. A four Jaba: Yeah. jheremy: ninety nine just did forty two bucks on auction. So they are coming down. One, it's tough for the redemptions to get picked up and verted correctly. And two, honestly, his name is not easy to spell. There's probably a lot of misspellings out there too, with cards being sold that aren't picking up on the tracker. Jaba: Yeah, that th that's a great point. Yeah. jheremy: Not everyone's gonna know how to spell Gerangelo Since, right off the rip, Jaba: Yeah, it's the double double brutal name. Yeah. It's not like it's just one of the names is tricky. It's a it's a mouthful. jheremy: So I'm guessing you probably could go s spell it a variety of ways and still find like Jaba: Yeah, go aggregate a bunch of data off thirty different spellings. jheremy: here's a a true blue redemption sold for a buck twenty. if rede if base autos are doing fifty on average, that would have been a good buy. So this person sold a blue prism Jaba: Yeah, great by. Yeah, I think we just wait and say jheremy: this person sold a blue prism ice for a penny. you even you just lose money on that transaction, so Jaba: Yeah, you lose probably two bucks. Good jheremy: Yeah. Jaba: good work out of that guy. Shout out to that guy. jheremy: Wonderful. Jaba: Alright, you got any closing thoughts here or good to good to wrap up. All right, well thank you everyone jheremy: That is it. Good to wrap. Jaba: for listening. excited to be kicking off a new week. We got plenty of content coming. Like I said, AFL buy sell hold tomorrow. I think we're having Bob back on for one or two episodes on Wednesday. And then Thursday, hoping I have Dahl back. and And yeah, between that we'll have some more Jeremy's brain content and a bunch of jheremy: Yeah. Jaba: other ideas we have floating around. So no shortage of stuff. We're just kind of tinkering with what people like, what people like less, and how we can kind of give you guys the best, most refined content possible. So, as always, thank you for listening and let's go mets. See you guys.
