- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Hawk Talk with former Seahawks wide receiver
- 0:04Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus. Play fake, go to roll right, jumps it
- 0:07Speaker 1: off into the right flass to Michael Bumpers, who bounces
- 0:09Speaker 1: off a one tackler gets inside the forty down of
- 0:12Speaker 1: the thirty five yard line. Powered by Seahawks dot Com,
- 0:15Speaker 1: Matt pump fake's.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Looking at the gold line. He throws it into the
- 0:18Speaker 2: end zone. Touchdown. Say Hawks, it's Michael.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Bumpas with a diving catching the end zone on ten
- 0:24Speaker 3: yard touchdown reception for Bumpers, and the kid out of
- 0:27Speaker 3: Washington State has found himself a.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Place on this team.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Now, here's your host, Nasa Chovie.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Welcome into another edition of Hawk Talk, getting you ready
- 0:37Speaker 3: for the Seahawks Week eight matchup taken on these Buffalo
- 0:41Speaker 3: Bills at Luminfield this Sunday.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Bump. Before we get into all of it, trade alert
- 0:46Speaker 2: breaking news, boom boom bow. Let's get it now, this
- 0:48Speaker 2: is huge.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Seahawks agree to trade Jerome Baker to Tennessee for draft compensation,
- 0:53Speaker 3: bringing in exchange for Ernest Jones, the fourth twenty twenty
- 0:58Speaker 3: one third round pick. Jones Spanish firstseason with the Rams
- 1:01Speaker 3: so Seahawks fans should be pretty familiar with him out
- 1:03Speaker 3: there was traded to Tennessee prior to the start of
- 1:06Speaker 3: this season. Jones took over the starting job midway through
- 1:08Speaker 3: his rookie year, started seven games and started eleven games
- 1:11Speaker 3: in twenty twenty two, and then fifteen games last season.
- 1:14Speaker 3: During the twenty twenty three season, his first is an
- 1:17Speaker 3: everydawn linebacker. Jones recorded to Rams franchise record one hundred
- 1:20Speaker 3: and forty five tackles, four and a half sacks, six
- 1:23Speaker 3: passes defended, fourteen tackles for loss in six quarterback hits.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Bump sad to see Baker go, but I am incredibly
- 1:30Speaker 3: excited about Ernest Jones.
- 1:31Speaker 2: What have you seen from him on film? Yeah, I'm
- 1:33Speaker 2: hip man, you know.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I was watching the film on on Ernest, and the
- 1:36Speaker 4: first thing got noticed was just the violence he attacks
- 1:39Speaker 4: these guards trying to climb.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Up to his second level.
- 1:41Speaker 4: So it made me go and look at Bakers as
- 1:44Speaker 4: height and weight, and I'm like, man, he seems so
- 1:46Speaker 4: much bigger than Baker.
- 1:47Speaker 2: They're almost the exact same size.
- 1:49Speaker 4: It's just it's a different, this different type of approach
- 1:52Speaker 4: when it comes to Earnest Man long arms plays with
- 1:56Speaker 4: some balance to him.
- 1:57Speaker 2: He's good at diagnosing the plays too.
- 1:59Speaker 4: There are a lot of times with this defense where
- 2:00Speaker 4: I felt like guys were waiting to be one hundred
- 2:03Speaker 4: percent sure they knew what they were looking at before
- 2:05Speaker 4: they wouldn't made the play. You look at Ernest, he's
- 2:07Speaker 4: sniffing it out. Oh, guard's pulling there. Bam, I see
- 2:09Speaker 4: the mesh.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Bam.
- 2:10Speaker 4: I'm shooting my gap right now. So he seems like
- 2:12Speaker 4: just a savvy football player, a violent football player. You
- 2:15Speaker 4: lose a little bit in coverage, but not not too much.
- 2:18Speaker 4: I think he can still drop back and cover. And Yeah,
- 2:21Speaker 4: this is what this defense needed. You needed some violence
- 2:23Speaker 4: on that second level. With that D line getting healthy,
- 2:26Speaker 4: You're throwing a little Ernest Jones in that thing.
- 2:29Speaker 2: It looks pretty good so far.
- 2:30Speaker 3: No, I feel good about it too, And I really
- 2:32Speaker 3: feel good about is he played in a similar system.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I'm not going to say it's exact same. I'm not
- 2:36Speaker 3: in the meeting rooms there, but their defensive coordinator was
- 2:38Speaker 3: a dB coach with McDonald and Baltimore, so at least
- 2:41Speaker 3: it's not being dropped into something completely different and all
- 2:44Speaker 3: that stuff.
- 2:45Speaker 2: So I'm excited to see him on Sunday.
- 2:46Speaker 4: You know, you know who he played last week, the
- 2:49Speaker 4: Buffalo fill so he going back to back on him.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Come on now, let's go. Hey, that's gotta be dope.
- 2:53Speaker 3: You're like, okay, I know who they are and their
- 2:55Speaker 3: checks are. And he's got some insight because he can
- 2:57Speaker 3: be like, no, this is what they actually did on
- 2:59Speaker 3: that field, So no, it should be should be fine.
- 3:01Speaker 3: I'm really excited to watch number thirteen, Ernest Jones, the
- 3:04Speaker 3: fourth this week as the Seahawks get ready to take
- 3:06Speaker 3: on the Buffalo Bills.
- 3:07Speaker 2: What's on tap?
- 3:12Speaker 1: What's on tap?
- 3:13Speaker 3: These Bills are five into first place in the AFC
- 3:16Speaker 3: East with wins over the Cardinals, Dolphins, Jaguars, Jets, and Titans.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Losses to the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans. Now
- 3:25Speaker 3: bump this Buffalo team similar to other teams we've talked about.
- 3:28Speaker 3: They're off the a great starrty. They're in first place.
- 3:29Speaker 3: They've won this division four years in a row heading
- 3:32Speaker 3: into twenty twenty four. That's crazy, so much success, but
- 3:35Speaker 3: with great success comes all the expectations.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Right.
- 3:38Speaker 3: They've lost in a division round of the playoffs last
- 3:40Speaker 3: three seasons after reaching the AFC title Game in twenty twenty.
- 3:42Speaker 3: They've also had their season end at the hands of
- 3:44Speaker 3: Patrick Mahomes and you can't see the Chiefs.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Three of the last four postseason everybody an AFCN then
- 3:48Speaker 4: lost to Pat Mahomes.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what I mean, So that there's no
- 3:50Speaker 3: shame in that, but like it sucks if you're a
- 3:53Speaker 3: diehard Bills fan or whatever. The regular season matters, but
- 3:57Speaker 3: it also doesn't because you're like, Okay, well what are
- 3:59Speaker 3: we gonna do in January? Which is a rough way
- 4:00Speaker 3: to live, in a good way to live because you
- 4:02Speaker 3: have expectations. That's good anyway. So they're a good team,
- 4:07Speaker 3: but you know, they make a huge trade. They're bringing
- 4:10Speaker 3: to Marii Cooper, so Von Diggs and with them anymore so,
- 4:13Speaker 3: and he made his first debut this weekend, Mark Cooper
- 4:16Speaker 3: did against Tennessee Bump.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Yeah, Amari Cooper scored a touch and I believe only
- 4:20Speaker 4: had what eighteen players or something like that. So they're
- 4:22Speaker 4: still they're bringing them in slowly, but they that's what
- 4:25Speaker 4: you do with ballers. So you put them in the
- 4:26Speaker 4: red zone, you put them in the slot. He's looking
- 4:29Speaker 4: at ke On Coleman saying make sure I'm doing the
- 4:31Speaker 4: right thing.
- 4:31Speaker 2: He runs a little pulling a little post and you.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Get it to him. So no, it's a good replacement.
- 4:36Speaker 4: It's as good as it could get at this time
- 4:38Speaker 4: of the year because on no other baller receiver was
- 4:40Speaker 4: being moved. You went to one of the worst teams
- 4:43Speaker 4: with the worst situation, you got their best receiver, and
- 4:45Speaker 4: Amari Cooper's shown that he still got some ball left
- 4:48Speaker 4: in them.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Yeah, no question about it. So he'll definitely be a
- 4:50Speaker 3: bigger part of the offense this week. We'll talk about
- 4:52Speaker 3: a little bit later in matchups. But last weekends those Titans,
- 4:55Speaker 3: the Bills overcame a slow start and beat the Titans
- 4:58Speaker 3: convincingly thirty four to ten at home. The Titans were
- 5:01Speaker 3: down their starting quarterback, with Levis turned the former Steelers
- 5:04Speaker 3: quarterback Mason Rudolph. He had the Titans out to a
- 5:06Speaker 3: ten on lead, but then after a little bit it
- 5:10Speaker 3: was all Bills. Man thirty four unanswered points and scored
- 5:13Speaker 3: on every single drive of the second half.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Man Bills were looking good. Josh Allen celebrated his one
- 5:18Speaker 4: hundredth career start. Dang already, I know, Dann his twenty
- 5:22Speaker 4: six three hundred yard outing while finishing twenty one of
- 5:25Speaker 4: thirty three for three hundred twenty three yards and two touchdowns.
- 5:27Speaker 4: He improved to sixty eight and thirty two as a starter,
- 5:30Speaker 4: matching four players Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw, Brett Farv and
- 5:34Speaker 4: Aaron Rodgers for six most wins and in quarterbacks first
- 5:37Speaker 4: one hundred starts. Andy's taking care of the rock. We'll
- 5:40Speaker 4: get into that later, but Josh Allen playing some good football.
- 5:43Speaker 3: That's a good list to be on with those dudes
- 5:45Speaker 3: anytime you're on it. We mentioned Cooper four catches, six
- 5:48Speaker 3: six yards, one touchdown and eighteen offensive steps. Keon Coleman
- 5:52Speaker 3: aside a big day four receptions one hundred and twenty
- 5:54Speaker 3: five yards, Titans continued their free fall dropping.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Sorry Helmus laugh at there was spectful.
- 6:00Speaker 3: No, no, I didn't mean to be respectful, but I'm
- 6:03Speaker 3: just looking at the numbers. Dropping the one to five
- 6:05Speaker 3: the worst started the season since twenty fifteen. At one
- 6:08Speaker 3: and six. They have failed the top seventeen points for
- 6:11Speaker 3: the fifth time had their season. Holy smokes, it felt
- 6:15Speaker 3: different when I was in Tennessee. I'm like, this guy
- 6:17Speaker 3: got some thumpers. Yeah, some playmakers hasn't gone that well
- 6:20Speaker 3: for them. Anywan bumb looking at his head to head,
- 6:22Speaker 3: what stands out between the Seahawks and the Bills?
- 6:24Speaker 4: Man, The numbers are lying to me right now, because
- 6:28Speaker 4: you look at the numbers for the Bills, and as
- 6:30Speaker 4: the kids would say, they look very mid.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Okay, the numbers are mid.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Offensively, they're eighteenth running the rock, nineteen passing the ball.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Eighteen points per game is where they stand out a bit.
- 6:41Speaker 4: They're fifth, averaging twenty eight points per game. So that
- 6:43Speaker 4: just tells me they're fishing in the red zone, they're
- 6:45Speaker 4: getting the red zone, and they're scoring. Total defense their
- 6:48Speaker 4: twentieth against the run, theer twentieth against the pass or
- 6:51Speaker 4: seventeen points allowed. Boom, This is where pops a little bit,
- 6:55Speaker 4: all right, their eighth allowing nineteen points per game. So
- 6:57Speaker 4: it's like the big picture, it looks a little cloudy,
- 7:01Speaker 4: but when you narrow in on how much they're scoring
- 7:04Speaker 4: and how much they're they're not letting their opponents score,
- 7:07Speaker 4: that's where it pops a little bit. So for the
- 7:09Speaker 4: for the Seahawks or eighth overall, twenty seventh running the rock,
- 7:12Speaker 4: the best passing game in the League get them and
- 7:14Speaker 4: their eighth when it comes to scoring points. Defensively the
- 7:17Speaker 4: twenty first overall, twenty eighth against the run, thirteenth against
- 7:20Speaker 4: the pass in nineteenth when it comes to allowing points,
- 7:24Speaker 4: twenty three point four.
- 7:27Speaker 3: But I looked at this and I was trying to
- 7:29Speaker 3: find the status, like, how are they five and two right?
- 7:32Speaker 3: Why does it seem like they're way better than they
- 7:33Speaker 3: ar I'm looking at the numbers. Doesn't make sense. Here's
- 7:36Speaker 3: what does it?
- 7:37Speaker 2: I know where it is.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Turnover differential Bills are plus ten number one in the
- 7:41Speaker 3: National Football League. The Seahawks are minus three, tied for
- 7:44Speaker 3: twenty first, And that's what it is. They take care
- 7:46Speaker 3: of the ball. They're good in the ren zone, and
- 7:48Speaker 3: it shows because if you had all those numbers, these
- 7:52Speaker 3: are numbers of a team that's three and three or
- 7:54Speaker 3: you know what I mean, four and three, three and four,
- 7:56Speaker 3: something like that. So it's about turnovers, it seems like
- 7:59Speaker 3: with this team. So the Seahawks definitely gonna want to
- 8:02Speaker 3: change that a little bit. They're coming off a big
- 8:03Speaker 3: game a lot of takeaways, so hopefully that trend will
- 8:06Speaker 3: continue moving forward. But these teams, they don't play as
- 8:10Speaker 3: off and they're more about every four years out there
- 8:12Speaker 3: in the AFC East.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Let's know the history, No your history.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Seahawks lead the all time series eight to six, including
- 8:20Speaker 3: two and two in their last four matchups. The Seahawks
- 8:22Speaker 3: last played the Bills in that twenty twenty COVID season
- 8:25Speaker 3: lose into the Bills forty four to thirty four. That
- 8:28Speaker 3: game really wasn't that close, and it was really kind
- 8:31Speaker 3: of the end of all the Russ.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Let Russ Cook stuff.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, because after that game, I feel like Pete
- 8:37Speaker 3: kind of reeled everything in. They went on to win,
- 8:39Speaker 3: go six and two and win the division all that stuff,
- 8:41Speaker 3: but like letting Russell throw it sixty times a game
- 8:44Speaker 3: and all that stuff kind of calmed down after this game.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Bills jumped out to a fourteen to nothing lead at
- 8:49Speaker 2: the end of the first quarter. They're up ten at
- 8:51Speaker 2: a halftime.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Seahawks will make it a one score game in twenty
- 8:54Speaker 3: seven to twenty in the fourth quarter, but the Bills
- 8:55Speaker 3: will score fourteen straight points put that game out of reach.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Josh Allen had a big day thirty one into thirty eight,
- 9:00Speaker 3: four hundred and fifteen yards and three touchdowns. Stefon Diggs
- 9:05Speaker 3: at all receivers nine receptions, win, eighteen to one touchdown
- 9:08Speaker 3: for the Hawks. Russell had a good day twenty eight
- 9:10Speaker 3: to forty one stat wise, three hundred ninety yards, two touchdowns,
- 9:14Speaker 3: but he also had two picks and two fumbles loss.
- 9:16Speaker 3: We turned the ball with four times and that was that.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Seahawks went up to Buffalo. They took that l but
- 9:21Speaker 3: like I said, they would go six and two the
- 9:23Speaker 3: rest of away win the Nantcy West title. Won't talk
- 9:25Speaker 3: about what happened after that. And yeah, but the only
- 9:29Speaker 3: thing real quick bumpball say before we get to us
- 9:30Speaker 3: the word Jared Reid is the only person still on
- 9:33Speaker 3: the Seahawks defense from that day.
- 9:34Speaker 2: And he made his way back and he left and
- 9:36Speaker 2: came back.
- 9:37Speaker 3: When you think about the names on the defense, Quintin Dunbar,
- 9:40Speaker 3: DJ Reed, Trey Flowers, Carlos Dunlap, Jamal Adams, Quandre, LJ. Collyer, Pooniford,
- 9:46Speaker 3: kJ Wright, Jordan Brooks Wags, it feels like it's a
- 9:49Speaker 3: long time ago but also suit recent because I'm like,
- 9:52Speaker 3: I mean, some of these guys, but dang man.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Time, Jamal Quandre, DJ Reed, big up, DJ Reid balling
- 9:59Speaker 4: over there with the Jets man Trey Flowers ended up
- 10:02Speaker 4: playing in the Super Bowl.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Carlos Dunlap is still out there flowing.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a team looks a bit different than back
- 10:07Speaker 4: in the twenty twenty for show.
- 10:09Speaker 3: And shouted to Carlos because he finally got his ring,
- 10:11Speaker 3: went out to k C and got that.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, you're right. Carlos still was a great dude.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Anyway, Le's get back into what's going on in the division.
- 10:18Speaker 3: What's the word and the Seahawks or the NFC West
- 10:26Speaker 3: champs again.
- 10:27Speaker 2: What's the word in the West?
- 10:30Speaker 1: On Hawk talk.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Seahawks back in first place in the NFC West. They
- 10:35Speaker 4: are four and three, the Niners three and four, having
- 10:38Speaker 4: a bunch of injury issues over there. The Cardinals are
- 10:40Speaker 4: two and four, and the Rams are looking like they're
- 10:43Speaker 4: trying to rebuild over there, and they are two and four.
- 10:46Speaker 4: Let's focus on the game of the week. I was
- 10:48Speaker 4: looking at this game, you know what, and I thought
- 10:49Speaker 4: the Niners were gonna get this one. Now remember that,
- 10:52Speaker 4: and you and you the positive guy that you are,
- 10:55Speaker 4: He said, Nah, Chiefs got this and that's what happened.
- 10:58Speaker 2: It was. It was a good game.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Man.
- 11:00Speaker 4: If you just looked at the stat line for Mahomes, man,
- 11:02Speaker 4: you might think the forty nine Ers came out on top.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Mahomes had an alright day. He's been having an alright year. Honestly,
- 11:08Speaker 4: he's been.
- 11:08Speaker 2: He's been. He's a mediocre man.
- 11:10Speaker 4: He was sixteen to twenty seven four one hundred and
- 11:12Speaker 4: fifty four yards, no touchdown and two interceptions. The Niners
- 11:16Speaker 4: were dominant running that thing one hundred and eighty four
- 11:19Speaker 4: yards on the ground. The biggest storyline was Brock Party's afternoon.
- 11:22Speaker 4: He was seventeen or thirty one, two hundred and twelve yards,
- 11:25Speaker 4: no touchdown in three interceptions. The most costly interception came
- 11:29Speaker 4: midway through the fourth quarter with the forty nine Ers
- 11:31Speaker 4: trailing twenty one to twelve. After a long drive, the
- 11:33Speaker 4: Niners face third in goal from the Kansas City five
- 11:36Speaker 4: yard line. Party tried to force it to Chris Connolly
- 11:40Speaker 4: and it was picked off. Tough day for Party man.
- 11:42Speaker 4: He's gonna have to start elevating guys man. Yeah, he's
- 11:44Speaker 4: got to be that dude.
- 11:45Speaker 3: I don't want to judge him off of a couple
- 11:48Speaker 3: of games, because we watched him here in Seattle and
- 11:50Speaker 3: he was pretty dang good. But yeah, it's different, bump
- 11:54Speaker 3: when you're gonna have to be the dude rand if
- 11:55Speaker 3: you have so many all pros all.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Round, but a lot is gonna fall on his play. Yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 4: he's he's got to step it up, man.
- 12:01Speaker 2: He did.
- 12:02Speaker 4: He did have two rushing touchdowns though, so it wasn't
- 12:04Speaker 4: all bad. The Chiefs took advantage with a game selling
- 12:07Speaker 4: drive going twelve plays eighty yards, ending with a Micole
- 12:10Speaker 4: Harmon eighteen yard touchdown that made the score twenty eight
- 12:14Speaker 4: to twelve. The Niners will score touchdown late, but it
- 12:16Speaker 4: was too late for for that squad. The Chiefs won
- 12:19Speaker 4: twenty eight to eight. Team Mason had fifty eight yards
- 12:23Speaker 4: on fourteen carries. Adding insult to injury, Deebo Samuel only
- 12:26Speaker 4: played four snaps as he's.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Dealing with a form of pneumonia. Man. That's uh.
- 12:30Speaker 4: When the rains and poor is over there for the Niners,
- 12:32Speaker 4: but these guys are gonna get healthy. Worst news all
- 12:35Speaker 4: you is done for the year. This is why you
- 12:37Speaker 4: hold out and get paid. I know I made fun
- 12:39Speaker 4: of buy. You can say, go to practice, man, but
- 12:41Speaker 4: this is why you hold out because things happen and
- 12:44Speaker 4: you want to make sure you're paid. So you got
- 12:46Speaker 4: his money and they got a few games out of him,
- 12:48Speaker 4: and now he's out for the season. They're banged up.
- 12:51Speaker 4: We'll see what was available when they play the Seahawks
- 12:53Speaker 4: later on this season.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be Yeah, it's hard. I don't want
- 12:58Speaker 3: to get ahead, obviously, we're talking about the Bills, right, No, right,
- 13:01Speaker 3: but me and you can get ahead, we can do that.
- 13:04Speaker 3: This is a time to get San Francisco. This is
- 13:06Speaker 3: absolutely the time. I don't know another time or they're
- 13:08Speaker 3: going to be down. And we'll talk about this a
- 13:10Speaker 3: lot in the coming weeks. The Seahawks for the first time,
- 13:13Speaker 3: and god knows how long, have a by heading into
- 13:15Speaker 3: that game, and the Niners were playing the week before,
- 13:17Speaker 3: so my first time, the Seahawks really have an advantage.
- 13:19Speaker 3: So we'll see what happens over the next couple of weeks.
- 13:20Speaker 3: But that could be a huge game in the Seahawks
- 13:22Speaker 3: come off of bye Niners hosting the Cowboys.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I'm really intrigued about.
- 13:26Speaker 4: That because, my goodness, the sky's already fallen in Dallas,
- 13:32Speaker 4: that's already fallen.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I mean, they might revive their season.
- 13:35Speaker 3: I mean, it's a big game because either way, I
- 13:37Speaker 3: would love to listen to talk radio in either city,
- 13:40Speaker 3: and I might just do it because that's the kind
- 13:42Speaker 3: of person I am.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Other games in the NFC West Raiders were at the Rams.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Rams got back on track after two consecutive losses. Beating
- 13:49Speaker 3: the Raiders twenty to fifteen. Wasn't in a great football game.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Rams forced four turnovers, including a scoop and score touchdown,
- 13:55Speaker 3: which was the deciding factor in the game. Bad luck
- 13:57Speaker 3: for the Raiders they all starting quarterback eight on the
- 14:00Speaker 3: second series of the game. Your guy Gardner Minshew, of
- 14:03Speaker 3: course back in the duty. Things that go very well.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Fifteen to thirty four, one to fifty four, zero touchdowns,
- 14:08Speaker 3: three interceptions. Also was the one he wasn't ready. He
- 14:11Speaker 3: wasn't ready responsible for four turnovers, So yeah, go kooks
- 14:16Speaker 3: to for your guy Gardner. On the flip side, Matthew
- 14:19Speaker 3: Stafford also wasn't that great. Fourteen to twenty three, one
- 14:22Speaker 3: to fifty four, zero touchdowns, went interception. That was Stafford's
- 14:25Speaker 3: lowest passer rating in four years he's been with the Rams.
- 14:28Speaker 3: But they did run the ball effectively seventy six yards
- 14:30Speaker 3: on twenty one carries, two touchdowns for Kyron Williams. Raiders
- 14:33Speaker 3: did make it close late, pulling within five points, but
- 14:38Speaker 3: they would get the ball back down five one to
- 14:39Speaker 3: forty left unfortunate for them. Three plays later, Gardner Minshew
- 14:43Speaker 3: turned the ball over again and that was all she wrote.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 14:46Speaker 3: The Ray Rams trying to stay relevant again. We know
- 14:49Speaker 3: that game in two weeks is going to be tough,
- 14:51Speaker 3: so it'll be interesting. But the Rams get it done.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Yeah, good for them. Let's move on going.
- 14:57Speaker 4: But Cardinals, oh, I still I don't know what this
- 15:00Speaker 4: team is, man, but they found a way to get
- 15:03Speaker 4: a win. You see the numbers of that dual cast
- 15:06Speaker 4: Monday Night Football, Only like a million five people watched
- 15:10Speaker 4: the Chargers game.
- 15:11Speaker 2: ESPN ain't gonna let y'all know that though. That's why
- 15:14Speaker 2: you shouldn't do it.
- 15:15Speaker 4: If you're gonna have two games, play one early, play
- 15:17Speaker 4: one late, and come on, I want to watch both
- 15:19Speaker 4: of them.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Come on you.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Kyler Murray made to play the game the way forty
- 15:23Speaker 4: four yard touchdown run down the sideline that gave him
- 15:27Speaker 4: the lead in the fourth quarter, and then he was
- 15:28Speaker 4: clowning too. He gave a burst for about fifteen twenty
- 15:31Speaker 4: yards and then eased off the guess that's howe what.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Time he's done.
- 15:34Speaker 4: It's disrespectful with this, The Chargers would add two field
- 15:39Speaker 4: goals and take the lead fifteen to fourteen with a
- 15:41Speaker 4: minute forty five remaining in the game. Then Murray would
- 15:44Speaker 4: leave the Cardinals on a seven play fifty six yard drive,
- 15:47Speaker 4: setting up the game winning field goal that Chad Ryland
- 15:50Speaker 4: that was set up by a thirty three yard pass
- 15:53Speaker 4: and run by James Carter. He finished the day with
- 15:55Speaker 4: nineteen carres one hundred and one yards two receptions for
- 15:58Speaker 4: fifty one yards. Kyler Murray was fourteen of twenty six,
- 16:01Speaker 4: one five, one touchdown, one intercession. He also added sixty
- 16:05Speaker 4: four yards on six carries and a touchdown. It was
- 16:09Speaker 4: a frustrated night for the Chargers offense man they gained
- 16:12Speaker 4: three to ninety five yards but couldn't find the end zone.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Justin Herbert completed twenty seven to thirty nine of his
- 16:17Speaker 4: passes for three forty nine. His coach Jim Harball's first
- 16:20Speaker 4: loss on Monday night, dropping him to six and one. Dang,
- 16:23Speaker 4: I didn't realize he was that dominant On Monday night.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Dicker booted field goals fifty nine to fifty, twenty eight,
- 16:30Speaker 4: forty seven, forty too many got to score touchdowns. You
- 16:33Speaker 4: don't want your kicker, you know, lining up and kicking
- 16:36Speaker 4: that many times. So Los Angeles has gone sixteen consecutive
- 16:39Speaker 4: offensive drives without a touchdown.
- 16:43Speaker 2: That is tough.
- 16:44Speaker 4: The Cardinals continue to be one of the most confusing
- 16:46Speaker 4: teams in all the LAMB and the Chargers are still
- 16:49Speaker 4: trying to figure out how to win ball games.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Yeah, man, I again, week to week by week, we
- 16:53Speaker 3: don't know what Cardinals team is gonna They get bigger,
- 16:55Speaker 3: blow you out, they can get blown out, they can
- 16:58Speaker 3: go up and down. It's hard to tell. The one
- 17:00Speaker 3: thing we do know Kyler Murray's health of an athlete.
- 17:01Speaker 3: He's gonna make plays, so we'll see there. But let's
- 17:04Speaker 3: get back into these Buffalo Bills.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Man ups, man up on Hawk Talk.
- 17:19Speaker 3: The guy that's gonna get a lot of attention throughout
- 17:21Speaker 3: the week as leading to this game is the quarterback
- 17:23Speaker 3: Josh Allen taking on the Seahawks defense. And for me,
- 17:26Speaker 3: Bum making no mistake about it, Josh Allen is one
- 17:28Speaker 3: of the most elite quarterbacks in the National Football League.
- 17:31Speaker 3: He's now in his seventh season Josh Allen's two time
- 17:33Speaker 3: pro bowler, finished in top five in MVP voting three
- 17:37Speaker 3: two of the last three seasons. Josh Allen's really helped
- 17:40Speaker 3: the Bills become relevanting because they were a doormat for
- 17:44Speaker 3: a long time, and he's led the Bills to the
- 17:46Speaker 3: playoffs in five to six seasons. Prior to that, the
- 17:48Speaker 3: Bills have been in the playoffs just one time in
- 17:50Speaker 3: eighteen years.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Business gracious, but.
- 17:53Speaker 3: There's always been one knock on Josh Allen. Turnovers turns
- 17:57Speaker 3: him over like crazy, Josh Allen. He has seventy eight
- 18:00Speaker 3: career interceptions. He threw a career high eighteen of them
- 18:04Speaker 3: things last year eighteen one eight. But this year he's
- 18:08Speaker 3: figured it out. He's talked to the turnover Jesus whatever
- 18:11Speaker 3: it reprais to He's thrown zero interceptions.
- 18:14Speaker 2: It's impressive. Now, bum I would take credit for this
- 18:18Speaker 2: stat like it was on me. Okay, it was not me.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Shout out John Boyle slash. I think the Bill's senior
- 18:24Speaker 3: writer over there. But since twenty twenty, the Bills are
- 18:26Speaker 3: now twenty and one in averaging thirty four points per
- 18:30Speaker 3: game when Josh Allen has zero giveaways. So that's interceptions,
- 18:34Speaker 3: the fumbles. Their only loss was earlier this year against Houston.
- 18:39Speaker 2: It's impressive. So I think we should try to take
- 18:41Speaker 2: the ball away. Yeah, you good on that. That's a
- 18:43Speaker 2: good formula. Always take the ball away.
- 18:45Speaker 4: And you know what, it was a while before last
- 18:47Speaker 4: week before we saw some legit takeaways by this defense.
- 18:50Speaker 2: So get her done against Josh Allen in the Gang.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Well, and the other thing about Josh two, he was
- 18:55Speaker 3: second player in the NFL history record at least twelve
- 18:58Speaker 3: touchdown passes and no interceptions first seven games running Alix
- 19:01Speaker 3: Smith two hundred and eighty six consecutive attempts without an
- 19:05Speaker 3: interception dating back to last season, as long as of
- 19:06Speaker 3: his career longings in Bill's history. He's got fourteen hundred
- 19:10Speaker 3: yards on the season, twelve touchdowns, no picks. He's only
- 19:13Speaker 3: been sacked nine times, man nine.
- 19:17Speaker 2: It's tough.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Well, last week it was the same story, right, Yeah,
- 19:20Speaker 4: and did a good job protecting Kirk.
- 19:22Speaker 2: So you know those numbers mean nothing to me.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Yet they do though, remember last year Jared Goff came
- 19:28Speaker 4: in throwing how many passes without without a pick? Brown
- 19:31Speaker 4: pick six? So let's uh, let's let's get that going.
- 19:34Speaker 4: Let's talk about our guy, Geno smith Man. He was
- 19:37Speaker 4: on point last week. You can look at his numbers
- 19:40Speaker 4: and not be impressed, but if you watch the game,
- 19:42Speaker 4: you understand what I'm talking about. He was eighteen of
- 19:44Speaker 4: twenty eight twenty seven yards, two touchdowns and no interception.
- 19:48Speaker 2: QB rating of one to ten.
- 19:50Speaker 4: It was the highest of the season, first time Geno
- 19:52Speaker 4: Smith was under thirty attempts since Week one against Denver.
- 19:56Speaker 2: You love that. Fifty is too much, forty is too much.
- 19:59Speaker 2: You gotta run that football.
- 20:01Speaker 4: According to the NFL Next Gen stat Smith was pressured
- 20:03Speaker 4: on fifty percent of his drawbacks against Atlanta, the highest
- 20:06Speaker 4: pressure rate he has faced in a game. It didn't
- 20:08Speaker 4: feel like that because it didn't phase him. But it
- 20:10Speaker 4: didn't feel like that because of how good Gino is
- 20:12Speaker 4: exactly moving in that pocket, doing his thing when facing pressure.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Smith completed seven to thirteen attends for one hundred and
- 20:17Speaker 4: twenty three yards and two touchdowns. A good are good
- 20:21Speaker 4: for a one to twenty five point eight rating. Gino,
- 20:24Speaker 4: keep being a thing. I like what you're doing. Must
- 20:27Speaker 4: protect him a little bit more. Through seven weeks, he
- 20:30Speaker 4: is first in passing yards six in completion percentage, first
- 20:34Speaker 4: in completions, first.
- 20:35Speaker 2: In attempts, and tenth.
- 20:36Speaker 4: When it comes to qb are, Gino has to Seahawks
- 20:39Speaker 4: as the number one passing attack in the NFL, averaging
- 20:42Speaker 4: two hundred and seventy yards per game. Come on out, Grub,
- 20:46Speaker 4: And you know when I think of Gino, I think
- 20:48Speaker 4: of Grub too.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Man.
- 20:49Speaker 4: I know Geno's on the on the field making things happen,
- 20:52Speaker 4: but you know you got to give Grub some love too, no.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Question about it.
- 20:55Speaker 3: And taking on this Bills defense twenty eth and total
- 20:57Speaker 3: defense seventeen against the past eight eight in points per game,
- 21:01Speaker 3: so well, interesting to see. Von Miller is also not
- 21:03Speaker 3: going to play, dealing with his last of his four
- 21:05Speaker 3: game suspension, so we we'll see what Gino can cook
- 21:07Speaker 3: up against these guys. Speaking of Cook, we'll go over
- 21:10Speaker 3: to the running backs for the Buffalo Bills, James Cook.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Ray Davis. I know it's too bad, James. The spot right.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Bill's rushing attacks led by third year player James Cook.
- 21:20Speaker 3: As I mentioned, Cook is a former teammate of Kenny
- 21:22Speaker 3: McIntosh down at Georgia, member of that twenty twenty one
- 21:25Speaker 3: national championship team and in college Cooke didn't put up
- 21:29Speaker 3: amazing numbers, but it's because they had three NFL players
- 21:32Speaker 3: in their backfields a mere white Kenny mctosh himself. That
- 21:35Speaker 3: didn't stop him from getting drafted in the second round
- 21:37Speaker 3: of the Bills. During his rookie season, he played in
- 21:39Speaker 3: every game and rushed for five hundred and seven yards
- 21:42Speaker 3: two touchdowns, but split time with running back Devin Singletary.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Singletary got out of there and that's when he really
- 21:47Speaker 3: established himself, going for over one thousand yards last year,
- 21:51Speaker 3: two touchdowns, forty four receptions four hundred and forty five
- 21:54Speaker 3: yards in four touchdowns.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Those numbers earned him a Pro Bowl nod.
- 21:59Speaker 3: So far the season, a little off that pace, he's
- 22:01Speaker 3: got eight to two carries three hundred and forty one
- 22:03Speaker 3: yards to five touchdowns. Also has eleven receptions one hundred
- 22:06Speaker 3: and twenty three yards in one touchdown. His other running
- 22:09Speaker 3: back mate out of Kentucky, Ray Davis, he spent time
- 22:12Speaker 3: in Temple Vandy, Kentucky and College ran for a thousand
- 22:15Speaker 3: yards his last two seasons down there. So far, he's
- 22:17Speaker 3: got fifty one carries two hundred and thirteen yards in
- 22:19Speaker 3: two touchdowns. The Bills do not have a dominant run
- 22:22Speaker 3: game bump. They're nineteenth in the NFL, averaging one hundred
- 22:25Speaker 3: and sixten yards per game. So I want this to
- 22:27Speaker 3: be the game where the Seahawks shut it down, lock
- 22:29Speaker 3: it down, straight up, start to finish. Seahawks built off
- 22:32Speaker 3: a good second half last week, so we'll see they
- 22:33Speaker 3: can do moving forward.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Guys are getting healthy. I'm saying that box is looking
- 22:37Speaker 4: good right now. All right, let's look at the pass catchers.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Man.
- 22:40Speaker 4: You got Keon Coleman, great athlete, you've seen him, Dounel
- 22:44Speaker 4: with basketball, a man three to sixty through the legs,
- 22:47Speaker 4: great athlete, Khalil Shakir. You got the tight end, Dalton
- 22:51Speaker 4: Concaid kink excuse me. And then Amari Cooper the new addition.
- 22:55Speaker 4: They got a big lift with Amari Cooper. Cooper has
- 22:58Speaker 4: a He's had a really good career and it didn't
- 23:02Speaker 4: look too good over there in Cleveland. And there's a
- 23:05Speaker 4: lot of reasons why. All right, and we're not going
- 23:07Speaker 4: to get into it. Y'all use your imagination, Google Cleveland
- 23:10Speaker 4: Browns and some reading. Yeah, I'm sure some things will
- 23:13Speaker 4: let you know. Uh, he's now in his tenth season. Man,
- 23:16Speaker 4: and when he's with his fourth team. He's gone over
- 23:18Speaker 4: one thousand yards seven of his last nine full season
- 23:21Speaker 4: in NFL. He's a five time Pro Bowler, including last season.
- 23:24Speaker 4: So when I see a guy have a horrible season
- 23:27Speaker 4: in the year before he was bawling, I don't I
- 23:30Speaker 4: don't just assume that he's done.
- 23:32Speaker 2: I assume some some things were happening over there.
- 23:35Speaker 4: In twenty twenty three, he had seventy two receptions twelve
- 23:37Speaker 4: hundred yards and five touchdowns and seven games with the
- 23:40Speaker 4: Browns twenty eight receptions for three hundred and sixteen yards
- 23:43Speaker 4: and three touchdowns. His catch percentage is forty five percent
- 23:45Speaker 4: over there in Cleveland.
- 23:46Speaker 3: That's the one that jumps out because the three hundred
- 23:48Speaker 3: yards and a couple of touchdowns, you're like, that's okay,
- 23:50Speaker 3: But the catch.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Percentages crazy forty five yards.
- 23:53Speaker 4: So in one game he had four receptions for sixty
- 23:55Speaker 4: six yards on eighteen snaps, he had a touchdown. And
- 23:58Speaker 4: then the leading receips is the young man Keon Coleman
- 24:01Speaker 4: out of Florida State. He's known for his personality. He's
- 24:04Speaker 4: already making money. I forgot saw the commercial bookt or
- 24:07Speaker 4: something like bookings dot Com or something like that.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Get your money, young fella, get your money.
- 24:13Speaker 4: He's coming off the best game of his career so
- 24:15Speaker 4: far gets the Titans. He has seven receptions for one
- 24:18Speaker 4: twenty five so far this year, sixteen receptions for three
- 24:21Speaker 4: twenty six and two touchdowns. Kalosha Cure he's another impact
- 24:26Speaker 4: player for the Bills. A third year player out of
- 24:28Speaker 4: Boise State, has a team leading twenty seven receptions, three
- 24:31Speaker 4: into fourteen yards and two touchdowns. Did you know you
- 24:33Speaker 4: have to say Boise or they would get mad you
- 24:35Speaker 4: It's not Boise, it's Bois Bois Boise.
- 24:38Speaker 2: I was never said that I was down in Boise
- 24:41Speaker 2: and I said that he knows like it's Boise, all right?
- 24:43Speaker 2: My bad? Is that what Chris Peter? I don't feel
- 24:45Speaker 2: like he'd be saying that. I don't know, but he's
- 24:47Speaker 2: a guy. Father thought him. Do whatever you put me
- 24:49Speaker 2: on game. Next time I'm down in Boise, you go.
- 24:53Speaker 2: You might get a free drink. He said it right. Lastly,
- 24:57Speaker 2: he's not a receiver, but you got Dalton kink Man.
- 24:59Speaker 4: He's a good tight end at a Utah playing the
- 25:02Speaker 4: Rolls Bowl in twenty twenty two. Last year, he was
- 25:05Speaker 4: the team's third leading receiver six hundred and seventy three
- 25:07Speaker 4: yards with seventy three receptions and two touchdowns so far
- 25:10Speaker 4: this year twenty four receptions, two sixty nine and one touchdown.
- 25:14Speaker 4: The Hawks are thirteenth in the NFL against the pass,
- 25:17Speaker 4: allowing one ninety seven per game. Hey, lock up the run,
- 25:22Speaker 4: lock up the pass. Make Josh Allen have to do everything.
- 25:25Speaker 4: I like that formula.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Yeah, keep everything in front of Marie Cooper. Obviously, I
- 25:28Speaker 3: think he's rejuvenated.
- 25:30Speaker 2: He's in a place.
- 25:31Speaker 3: You go from where he was at to playing with
- 25:33Speaker 3: Josh Allen and the Bills competing for a Super Bowl. Yeah,
- 25:37Speaker 3: I mean that's a pretty good start. So I expect
- 25:38Speaker 3: him to be a lot more involved in the offense.
- 25:40Speaker 3: It's going to be a tough task, but I think
- 25:42Speaker 3: the Seahawks are game for it. I'm hoping depending on
- 25:44Speaker 3: what the injury situation is with Riek One and Trey Brown.
- 25:46Speaker 3: We saw some good things from Eamai Pritchett. We saw
- 25:49Speaker 3: Josh Joe make some plays, So I think the Seahawks
- 25:51Speaker 3: will be in good hands in the secondary. But it'll
- 25:53Speaker 3: be a fun matchup. Now, let's look at our receivers.
- 25:55Speaker 3: The DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Jackson Smith and Jig but
- 25:59Speaker 3: taking on this Bill's secondary. DK Metcalf. He had a
- 26:03Speaker 3: huge bounce back game against the Falcons with four receptions
- 26:05Speaker 3: ninety nine yards.
- 26:06Speaker 4: I wanted that one hundred yards for him so bad. Oh,
- 26:08Speaker 4: I wanted it so bad for him. Man, two huge receptions.
- 26:12Speaker 3: One saves his boy JSN from a he he snatched
- 26:15Speaker 3: the interception from them. Dude, like a job. I mean,
- 26:20Speaker 3: we talked about it in the recap. Receivers are going
- 26:22Speaker 3: to throw that there.
- 26:22Speaker 2: You you call a double pass. That receiver's letting it
- 26:25Speaker 2: go and like this is wives was great. Thank god.
- 26:28Speaker 3: DK Metcalf is out of this world athlete to be
- 26:30Speaker 3: able to butt out. Made it nice play there and
- 26:35Speaker 3: right before halftime the Seahawks, I know, almost slip right there.
- 26:39Speaker 2: That was tough.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Right before half time, he had a huge catch in
- 26:42Speaker 3: the end zone from Geno Smith DK In the NFL,
- 26:46Speaker 3: he ranks third in the entire NFL five hundred and
- 26:48Speaker 3: sixty eight receiving yards sixteen point two yards perception is
- 26:52Speaker 3: fourth in the NFL. Fortunate for the Hawks, you can
- 26:55Speaker 3: mecalf status for this week is uncertain with that knee injury.
- 26:58Speaker 3: He's got a minor MCL said the CO which timeline
- 27:00Speaker 3: is not sure, not long term, which is good. So
- 27:04Speaker 3: prayers up to DK hopefully can get back out there
- 27:06Speaker 3: this week. But if he cannot, where's the slacking and
- 27:10Speaker 3: go chocking Smooth and Jigba Definitely someone for me to
- 27:12Speaker 3: watch this weekend. DK can't play after he had that
- 27:15Speaker 3: really breakout game in Week two against Patriots, kind of
- 27:17Speaker 3: flashed what he can do and why he was drafted here.
- 27:19Speaker 3: That day he had twelve receptions one hundred and seventeen yards.
- 27:22Speaker 3: It seemed like Ryan Grubb made a really concerted effort
- 27:25Speaker 3: early on in that game to get him the football.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Since then, he's been pretty quiet. He hasn't had a
- 27:29Speaker 3: game with more than fifty three receiving yards. Not that
- 27:31Speaker 3: he's played bad by any stretch of just how the
- 27:33Speaker 3: cookie crumbles as a receiver. So if something, keep an
- 27:36Speaker 3: eye for the Sunday, especially if DK can't play, And
- 27:39Speaker 3: then you got obviously the og Tyle Lockett on the air.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Locket's got thirty receptions three eighty four, one touchdown. Jackson
- 27:45Speaker 3: has thirty seven receptions three nineteen in a touchdown.
- 27:48Speaker 2: The Bills.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Again, we talked about earlier average and most stats defensively
- 27:52Speaker 3: seventeenth in the NFL and comes to the pass, giving
- 27:54Speaker 3: up two hundred and nine yards per game. But one
- 27:56Speaker 3: nice thing though, it's cool. We'll give a little shout
- 27:58Speaker 3: out to Demor Hamlin. He's leading the Bills with two interceptions,
- 28:01Speaker 3: and between him and JaMarcus Ingram they have nine passes
- 28:04Speaker 3: defendant combined. But really cool to see him out there,
- 28:07Speaker 3: and we're talking about his play and now it happened
- 28:09Speaker 3: last year, so obviously, big upster tomorrow.
- 28:10Speaker 2: He's a starter now.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Man.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Last year when that whole thing went down, he was
- 28:13Speaker 4: a special teams guy. So big us to tomorrow for
- 28:17Speaker 4: doing this thing.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Man.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Happy to see him make plays.
- 28:19Speaker 4: All right, let's talk about these rbs RB's against the
- 28:21Speaker 4: Bills front seven. The Seahawks running game took some strides
- 28:24Speaker 4: last week. They ran four hundred and three yards on
- 28:26Speaker 4: twenty six carries. I believe ken Walker. If ken Walker,
- 28:31Speaker 4: he's probably more involved in a game if he's not sick.
- 28:35Speaker 4: And even though he was sick, he still has some
- 28:39Speaker 4: exciting plays. If he's not going to get a lot
- 28:41Speaker 4: of yards, just give me the touchdowns. And that's what
- 28:44Speaker 4: he did. Last week, despite being sick, Walker had sixty
- 28:47Speaker 4: nine rushing yards and fourteen attempts, including a twenty yard
- 28:50Speaker 4: touchdown to the right side behind two rookies Chris Haynes
- 28:53Speaker 4: and Michael Drell also had another touchdown to gated by Hole.
- 28:56Speaker 4: The Seahawks are still looking for their first one hundred
- 28:59Speaker 4: yard rush since Ken Walker in the Week one against
- 29:02Speaker 4: the Broncos.
- 29:03Speaker 2: It's gonna change this week.
- 29:04Speaker 4: On the year, k nine sixty five carries, three hundred
- 29:07Speaker 4: and three yards, six touchdowns, twenty three receptions four hundred
- 29:10Speaker 4: to sixty yards in one touchdown, and he's done that
- 29:12Speaker 4: while missing two games. Zach Charbadae has fifty seven carries
- 29:15Speaker 4: for two hundred and six yards and three touchdowns. This
- 29:18Speaker 4: will be another great opportunity to get the run game
- 29:21Speaker 4: going against the average Bills defense. That's weird to say,
- 29:24Speaker 4: the average Bills defense. For years, they've been one of
- 29:27Speaker 4: the best defense in the game.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Yeah, and obviously this ye still got to come out
- 29:31Speaker 3: their next que They're not gonna come up to Seattle
- 29:33Speaker 3: on laydown, but their twenty against the run, so we'll
- 29:35Speaker 3: see what happens. But as we put a bone in
- 29:37Speaker 3: this thing. I'll tell you how the seahus and get
- 29:38Speaker 3: a victory. Path to victory.
- 29:42Speaker 2: After forty five waits for the snat, Michael Victon puts
- 29:45Speaker 2: it down. That kick is away. If that kick is gone,
- 29:49Speaker 2: good day off.
- 29:50Speaker 1: When it's gone, it's a path to victory.
- 29:53Speaker 3: On Hawk Talk Bump, another huge opportunity for the Seahawks
- 29:56Speaker 3: to take advantage atop the AFC West and extend that lead.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Who knows what's gonna happen in the forty nine ers
- 30:02Speaker 3: this week in Dallas, but the Seahws got to regain
- 30:05Speaker 3: home field advantage. They started off the season good, have
- 30:07Speaker 3: dropped the last two at home and when need to
- 30:09Speaker 3: get that fixed. And then another one for me up
- 30:11Speaker 3: top is starting fast. It is so much easier to
- 30:14Speaker 3: play when you have the lead. Obviously, I'm not breaking,
- 30:19Speaker 3: I'm not making any am I going out on a
- 30:21Speaker 3: limb in any hot takes here, but it's just so
- 30:23Speaker 3: much easier to play that way. So if the Seahows
- 30:24Speaker 3: can start fast, you can definitely see opening everything up
- 30:27Speaker 3: offensive defense.
- 30:27Speaker 2: So looking forward to that.
- 30:28Speaker 4: Man, I looked in the media, guy that you give us,
- 30:31Speaker 4: and I believe since twenty ten my numbers might not
- 30:33Speaker 4: be completely accurate, but I'm close.
- 30:36Speaker 2: They're ninety and like nineteen when they win.
- 30:38Speaker 4: The turnover battle, So it's twenty ten all right, So
- 30:41Speaker 4: let's take care of the football. You need another day
- 30:43Speaker 4: of turnover free football, and you snatch it from the Bills.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Man.
- 30:46Speaker 4: The Bills had the league's best turnover differential for a reason.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Turnovers have been huge for them.
- 30:52Speaker 4: I believe they have seven interceptions and five fumbles recovered.
- 30:55Speaker 2: They lost two fumbles, no interceptions.
- 30:58Speaker 4: So that's that's where you get that numb the play
- 31:00Speaker 4: plus ten plus ten and you need to unlock the
- 31:02Speaker 4: run game it started last week.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Let's see it come home here to Seattle. Yep. Absolutely
- 31:07Speaker 2: definitely need that run game going.
- 31:09Speaker 3: And defensively, like we talked about, turnovers gonna be big
- 31:12Speaker 3: aspect of this game. It's gonna be tall tasks, right,
- 31:14Speaker 3: Josh hasn't done it. When you look through some of
- 31:16Speaker 3: the numbers and some of the film, he has had
- 31:18Speaker 3: some throws that could have been intercepted. Yeah, just like
- 31:22Speaker 3: I think he said that. Yeah, yeah, I think there's
- 31:24Speaker 3: definitely a couple different ones. So you got lucked lucked
- 31:26Speaker 3: out there. So let's be let's be that person that
- 31:28Speaker 3: takes the football away. When you're in the right spot,
- 31:30Speaker 3: good things happen. So hopefully this week this he also
- 31:32Speaker 3: get that done and bump though it's America's Game of
- 31:35Speaker 3: the Week.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Dog.
- 31:36Speaker 4: Oh, I didn't know that America's Game of the Week.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Tom Brady on Tom, I'm going in the booth, but
- 31:43Speaker 4: are you.
- 31:44Speaker 2: I don't know. I almost rubed elubles with Tom in Germany.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Yeah, we remember, we did our postgame show kind of
- 31:53Speaker 3: like outside in the locker room area. Well, Tampa was
- 31:55Speaker 3: right on the other side of that, and then there
- 31:57Speaker 3: were some there was just a lot of money in
- 31:59Speaker 3: the middle.
- 32:00Speaker 2: I couldn't get close enough.
- 32:01Speaker 3: I was just kind of walking by doing a little job,
- 32:02Speaker 3: and a bunch of big, famous soccer dudes we're talking
- 32:06Speaker 3: to him.
- 32:06Speaker 2: So I was like, oh what. But I looked over.
- 32:08Speaker 3: I was like, wow, that's so much more money than
- 32:09Speaker 3: I'll say anyway, But maybe you'll pull up.
- 32:12Speaker 4: We'll see if the door's open and there's no security,
- 32:15Speaker 4: I'm walking through the door.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Oh goodness, No one's listening to this. No, but for real, though,
- 32:21Speaker 3: the Game of the Week. The reason I bring that
- 32:23Speaker 3: up is because there's gonna be a lot of eyeballs
- 32:24Speaker 3: on the set. The Seahawks have a really good opportunity
- 32:27Speaker 3: to show what Mike McDonald and company have been building
- 32:29Speaker 3: here and.
- 32:30Speaker 2: I can't wait to see it. Yeah, man, let's get it.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Come on, need it, Come on Hawks.
- 32:33Speaker 3: The Seahawks pre game show will begin at ten am
- 32:36Speaker 3: on Sunday. Seahawks taking on those Bills kick off at
- 32:39Speaker 3: one oh five. Reminder you can catch us everywhere new
- 32:42Speaker 3: on YouTube, Seahawks Press Pass Channel, Apple Podcast, Spotify, Serious XM,
- 32:46Speaker 3: and more.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Bump This has been fun.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Hopefully we'll be talking about a Seahawks win over these
- 32:51Speaker 3: Bills come next week.
- 32:52Speaker 2: He's Michael Bumpus On. That's Sjoeby. This has been Hawk Talk.
