- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: This is the almost famous podcast. The big episode, Well,
- 0:10Speaker 2: it is mental all and Ashley and I have been
- 0:12Speaker 2: honest in the past that this is not one of
- 0:14Speaker 2: our favorite episodes. But we are here to break it
- 0:16Speaker 2: down with all of you, talk about some of the
- 0:18Speaker 2: stuff that stood out to us, some of the stuff
- 0:20Speaker 2: that maybe was confusing. But it's a big episode not
- 0:23Speaker 2: because of mentel. It's because Ashley is joining us today. Yes,
- 0:28Speaker 2: this is how committed she is to speaking with myself
- 0:32Speaker 2: and all of you. After a massive night, Ashley was
- 0:37Speaker 2: reliving her teenage years. Well, really, she's just reliving her
- 0:42Speaker 2: life last night.
- 0:43Speaker 3: In my life, it's really no reliving. It's been a constant.
- 0:45Speaker 3: We took like a six year break.
- 0:47Speaker 4: What did you do last night?
- 0:48Speaker 3: Ash Last night I got to go to the Jones
- 0:52Speaker 3: Brother's concert at Yankee Stadium with my sister and my
- 0:55Speaker 3: two best friends. And we haven't done a concert, the
- 0:58Speaker 3: four of us, Oh my gosh, in a really long time, right, guys,
- 1:03Speaker 3: we were just debriefing about our night. We were having
- 1:07Speaker 3: like the like the post concert, the post drunk night
- 1:12Speaker 3: recap where you're like, I did that. I said that
- 1:14Speaker 3: I had the funniest clips of myself saying the stupidest things,
- 1:20Speaker 3: just like, you know, I was like, you know what,
- 1:21Speaker 3: I think. I thought I was gonna grow up and
- 1:24Speaker 3: be like, yeah, Nick was the hottest one, but I know,
- 1:27Speaker 3: still thirty five, I think that chose the hottest one.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Like this is our conversation last night and this morning.
- 1:35Speaker 3: It's just classic drunken girl talk. Like I definitely had
- 1:39Speaker 3: too much drink last night. I never admit that because
- 1:42Speaker 3: I usually don't ever go overboard.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Never.
- 1:45Speaker 3: We just had a grand ole time. It was just
- 1:47Speaker 3: I had a Long Island iced tea that really put
- 1:49Speaker 3: me over the edge. I had to like sit down
- 1:51Speaker 3: for a second.
- 1:51Speaker 4: You know what a Long Island iced tea is, right.
- 1:54Speaker 3: It's basically straight up alcohol.
- 1:57Speaker 2: There's like no killer, It's like a little flavoring maybe
- 2:01Speaker 2: to mix it up. Here here's my question, Ashley, I
- 2:03Speaker 2: want to dive into this concert a little bit with
- 2:05Speaker 2: you one.
- 2:06Speaker 3: He's definitely doing this, guys, because we have nothing to
- 2:09Speaker 3: speak about about this episode because it's there's nothing that
- 2:11Speaker 3: happens except for Gary. It's all about Gary.
- 2:14Speaker 2: That's not true, Gary a little braiden stuff. We do
- 2:18Speaker 2: have some stuff to talk about, but I do want
- 2:20Speaker 2: to jump into this concert because I find it entertaining
- 2:22Speaker 2: and amusing. I also want to comment that behind you
- 2:25Speaker 2: right now is a Harry Styles poster, so we are
- 2:30Speaker 2: really living the teenage girl dream. Now, Okay, I have
- 2:35Speaker 2: a couple of things. I just got back from my
- 2:38Speaker 2: workout class. My workout classes, I've said before, is full
- 2:43Speaker 2: of women. It is ninety five percent women. I love
- 2:46Speaker 2: it because it's like heated yoga and weightlifting and pilates.
- 2:50Speaker 2: It feels really good on my knee. But over the
- 2:53Speaker 2: years of doing this, I've made some friends in the
- 2:55Speaker 2: class who are consistent goers. One of my friends just
- 2:58Speaker 2: got back yesterday from going to the Taylor Swift concert
- 3:02Speaker 2: at so far voice is completely lost talking about the
- 3:05Speaker 2: screaming and the crying and the yelling. She's thirty years old,
- 3:09Speaker 2: or at least close to it. So in your world, Ashley,
- 3:14Speaker 2: the Jonas Brothers are obviously a big part of that,
- 3:16Speaker 2: the Backstreet Boys and Sync and all that. How does
- 3:19Speaker 2: the Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift compare? Like, catch me up.
- 3:23Speaker 2: If you're my daughter and I'm your father and you're
- 3:26Speaker 2: explaining to me like the difference between the two right now,
- 3:29Speaker 2: and like the in the age group and how people
- 3:32Speaker 2: react help me understand.
- 3:34Speaker 3: The age group is probably pretty similar as far as
- 3:37Speaker 3: like the core audience goes. However, so everybody, like I think,
- 3:41Speaker 3: like the people who grew up with it all, so
- 3:44Speaker 3: like the ones who've been through it all with the band.
- 3:47Speaker 2: You know, grown up with the band you just said that,
- 3:49Speaker 2: so like passionately like the one, the ones that grew
- 3:53Speaker 2: up with the band, like the ones, the ones that
- 3:55Speaker 2: know the band like.
- 3:57Speaker 3: So almost famous like the movie. They're probably like late
- 4:02Speaker 3: twenties too, like early to close to mid thirties. And Okay,
- 4:09Speaker 3: I think I speak for all joint fans of that
- 4:13Speaker 3: age group when I say that, like we needed the
- 4:16Speaker 3: Jonas Brothers as just like that boy band outlet, like
- 4:19Speaker 3: somebody really cute to scream at and just to like
- 4:24Speaker 3: have wild nights with our girlfriends. And that was more
- 4:27Speaker 3: of like our social musical artists. But Taylor Swift was
- 4:32Speaker 3: our private musical artist who we needed her in moments
- 4:36Speaker 3: of vulnerability by ourselves in our cars, in our apartments
- 4:40Speaker 3: and stuff like we just really need We needed her
- 4:43Speaker 3: as like a personal friend.
- 4:44Speaker 2: This is touching on something. Okay, so you're telling me
- 4:48Speaker 2: like this that you know obviously Taylor Swift's on tour.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I just want to say publicly.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Taylor's audience is all ages.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Sure, but kudos did Taylor. I did hear she gave
- 4:59Speaker 2: a bunch of money to everybody that works on her tour.
- 5:02Speaker 4: That was a big deal.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I just I don't know. You know, I don't listen
- 5:04Speaker 2: to Taylor Swift. I don't know the music. I don't
- 5:07Speaker 2: listen to Jonas Brothers. But I have been over the
- 5:09Speaker 2: last couple of weeks following the Taylor Swift tour, mostly
- 5:14Speaker 2: because it's been so popular, so talked about, and I've
- 5:19Speaker 2: seen friends of mine, especially on social media, freak out,
- 5:22Speaker 2: like become different humans.
- 5:24Speaker 4: And I was confused why.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I thought, honestly, my cynicism said, it's an act, like
- 5:30Speaker 2: they're just doing this because everybody's doing it. But what
- 5:32Speaker 2: you're telling me, But what you're telling me, let me
- 5:34Speaker 2: finish this talk. But let me finish my thought here.
- 5:37Speaker 2: What you're telling me is Taylor Swift has this connection
- 5:43Speaker 2: with her audience because you would sit in your car,
- 5:46Speaker 2: or you would sit in your bedroom, or you would
- 5:47Speaker 2: sit in wherever you're at, and you would scream out
- 5:50Speaker 2: the lyrics to her song. You would cry with her
- 5:53Speaker 2: on these songs. You would relate with her in some
- 5:55Speaker 2: of your hardest moments. This was your breakup music, this
- 6:00Speaker 2: was your like healing music, This was your I just
- 6:05Speaker 2: need a friend music like this music. That's why everybody's
- 6:09Speaker 2: freaking out publicly because they've done it so many times.
- 6:14Speaker 3: It's a good point. That's a really really good point. Yes,
- 6:18Speaker 3: her music has been just our best friend through all
- 6:23Speaker 3: of our emotions, especially those rocky twenty something emotions when
- 6:27Speaker 3: you're trying to figure out your life. Yeah, and I yeah, yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 3: It's just like I don't think you get more intimate
- 6:36Speaker 3: with music than you do with Tailor's. It was like
- 6:39Speaker 3: such a crutch at certain times in my life when
- 6:42Speaker 3: I'm like thinking back on, like, you know, my hardest,
- 6:45Speaker 3: like dating moments, I don't have memories of music that
- 6:49Speaker 3: weren't Tailor's, Like I have like visual moments of myself,
- 6:53Speaker 3: like in my apartment, singing her songs and being like,
- 6:57Speaker 3: how did she go through the exact same thing I'm
- 7:00Speaker 3: going through. It's so nice too kind of tie it
- 7:03Speaker 3: into a theme that you're very familiar with just like
- 7:05Speaker 3: not be alone in this.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely. I mean it makes sense not to me
- 7:09Speaker 2: a little bit. This morning when I was trying to
- 7:11Speaker 2: break down and understand the Taylor Swift craze in this
- 7:16Speaker 2: last concert, there was a lot of comments from my
- 7:20Speaker 2: friend in class to there's myself and there's a lady
- 7:24Speaker 2: who's probably in her ear late fifties, and we both
- 7:27Speaker 2: were kind of under trying to understand, and she would say,
- 7:30Speaker 2: it's just a tailor thing, Like if you wouldn't, it's
- 7:33Speaker 2: hard for me to explain because it's just a tailor thing,
- 7:35Speaker 2: and I didn't understand it. So the Jonas Brothers and
- 7:39Speaker 2: all these other boy bands, they filled a role for
- 7:41Speaker 2: you where they were like an outlet to scream at
- 7:44Speaker 2: and be like, oh my gosh, they're so attractive. Oh
- 7:46Speaker 2: they're so cute. I love like just being near them,
- 7:50Speaker 2: like they were more of a.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Except like a parasocial relationship where it was just like
- 7:55Speaker 3: I must date them because like this quality or that quality.
- 8:00Speaker 3: It was way more about Jet It's just it was
- 8:04Speaker 3: just fond. It just I don't know, I just feel
- 8:07Speaker 3: like every girl kind of like needs the outlet of
- 8:10Speaker 3: this the celebrity crush outlet. Yeah, because I think like
- 8:13Speaker 3: kind of important sometimes because it just lets you dream
- 8:19Speaker 3: and the other and like it makes you escape from reality,
- 8:22Speaker 3: but it also gives you like hope, like you really
- 8:24Speaker 3: truly can believe that it will happen.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Yeah, Like every girl there is thinking like when they're
- 8:30Speaker 2: when they were younger, I have a shot or what
- 8:33Speaker 2: if I did have a shot that. Okay, I'm following here,
- 8:38Speaker 2: so in okay, to close this whole conversation up in
- 8:42Speaker 2: your now thirties, as you go to a Jonas Brothers
- 8:46Speaker 2: concert with your friends and your sister, probably a very
- 8:49Speaker 2: similar crew that used to same crew.
- 8:52Speaker 3: That's why it was so meaningful. We got the original
- 8:55Speaker 3: crew that we used to go all over the Northeast
- 8:58Speaker 3: with back for this.
- 9:01Speaker 2: What's the emotions like? Is it similar? Is it now
- 9:04Speaker 2: just enjoyment? Is it laughing at your younger cells? Like what?
- 9:09Speaker 3: What?
- 9:09Speaker 2: How does it feel waking up the next day and going, uh,
- 9:13Speaker 2: we were just at a Jonas Brothers concert. Are you
- 9:15Speaker 2: still crushing? Are you still dreaming? Or is it just
- 9:19Speaker 2: now laughing and enjoying memories?
- 9:22Speaker 3: Most of it is basically just laughing at our past
- 9:25Speaker 3: completely and like all the antics that we did back
- 9:28Speaker 3: in the day, just to like get close to them. Yeah,
- 9:33Speaker 3: and then it's a lot of like part of the music,
- 9:38Speaker 3: you know, is obviously nostalgic, and it like brings you
- 9:41Speaker 3: right back when you're standing in that concert that you
- 9:44Speaker 3: surrounded by everybody else going through the same feelings. And
- 9:46Speaker 3: then like the New Music and the Happiness Begins album,
- 9:48Speaker 3: which is probably my favorite of all their albums musically, Wow,
- 9:52Speaker 3: it's obviously just like you know, great to here because
- 9:56Speaker 3: like I love those songs truly.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:58Speaker 3: And then yeah, I don't know, it's really just now
- 10:02Speaker 3: it's a girl's night out. I think it's like just
- 10:04Speaker 3: a perfect girl's night out.
- 10:07Speaker 4: I still like.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Kind of pretend in your head that you are.
- 10:12Speaker 4: The fantasy of it is still there.
- 10:14Speaker 3: It's just an escape.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Yeah, the fantasy of it is still there. I'm taking
- 10:20Speaker 2: Jessica to Ed Sheeran here in a couple of weeks
- 10:23Speaker 2: or gee's less than a week in Denver, and I
- 10:26Speaker 2: think it's the same thing for her. I think Ed
- 10:28Speaker 2: Shecheron was not only her Taylor Swift growing up, but
- 10:30Speaker 2: he was also the dream Like I think.
- 10:32Speaker 4: He held both roles. Yeah, No, she she has like
- 10:35Speaker 4: a crush on.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Crush on Ed Cheron.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Yeah, she's not alone. Lots of girls do.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Yeah, that's so funny because yeah, when I think of
- 10:42Speaker 3: Ed Sheeron, I think of him feeling more of a
- 10:44Speaker 3: tailor role.
- 10:45Speaker 4: M h.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Basically, yeah, I think he I think he holds both
- 10:48Speaker 2: for some and I think my wife's one of those.
- 10:50Speaker 4: I don't know, I'm gonna find out.
- 10:52Speaker 3: This is weird, So for her going Ed Cheron is
- 10:55Speaker 3: not going to be like just like, oh, I like
- 10:57Speaker 3: his music, like I want to see him live because apparently,
- 11:00Speaker 3: you know, he plays these stadiums, which it's crazy because
- 11:02Speaker 3: you never think of like Ed Sharon's music most of
- 11:04Speaker 3: it as being stadium music. But it's cool because he
- 11:09Speaker 3: like apparently just goes out with a guitar and just
- 11:11Speaker 3: stands in the center and it's just like just so
- 11:14Speaker 3: acoustic and simple. It's surrounded by like a hundred, like
- 11:18Speaker 3: you know, eighty thousand people.
- 11:20Speaker 2: I think I have no idea, and in fact, I
- 11:24Speaker 2: am going to put myself up for in my mind,
- 11:27Speaker 2: I'm husband of the Year. Like in my mind, I'm
- 11:29Speaker 2: going to this concert and I and I don't hate
- 11:32Speaker 2: any of his songs. In fact, I enjoy that kind
- 11:34Speaker 2: of music. I enjoy the like the Ed Cherons, the
- 11:37Speaker 2: the John Mayers, like I like that music. I just
- 11:45Speaker 2: I think I'm a husband of the year. I at
- 11:46Speaker 2: least I'm gonna tell myself that I feel like I
- 11:48Speaker 2: need that in my life.
- 11:49Speaker 3: It's okay. Jared has been husband of the year when
- 11:51Speaker 3: he's gone to Jonas concerts with me, and he's gone
- 11:53Speaker 3: to a number now throughout the years. And I used to,
- 11:56Speaker 3: oh my gosh, in my twenty something brain be like,
- 11:59Speaker 3: how how can a girl ever take a guy to
- 12:03Speaker 3: a Jonas concert? And now that he's my husband, and
- 12:06Speaker 3: I'm much happier with him than I would ever be
- 12:09Speaker 3: with any of them. Yeah, I love having him there
- 12:12Speaker 3: to see just how everybody reacts. And he says that
- 12:17Speaker 3: like being at a Jones brother concert is one of
- 12:18Speaker 3: the happiest places on earth.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Oh good, Well, I need to call jere this week
- 12:24Speaker 2: to relate his back to the Bachelor. The reason that
- 12:26Speaker 2: we're talking about this, obviously, is because Ashley did just
- 12:28Speaker 2: attend a Jonas Brothers concert ed. Sheeran did have a
- 12:32Speaker 2: place in my life during my time on the Bachelorette.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Did he sing on your season. We didn't realize.
- 12:39Speaker 4: No, he did not sing on the season.
- 12:40Speaker 3: He was still he was way big then.
- 12:42Speaker 4: He was so big.
- 12:44Speaker 2: You know, when you're on the Bachelorette, you don't have
- 12:47Speaker 2: access to media of any kind. You don't have internet,
- 12:51Speaker 2: you don't have a computer. I'm a phone, you know,
- 12:52Speaker 2: I'm a book. You really don't have much to do
- 12:55Speaker 2: other than talk with each other and play a bunch
- 12:57Speaker 2: of cards, mostly cards against Humanity back then. But I
- 13:02Speaker 2: bet we listened to Thinking out Loud by a chair.
- 13:05Speaker 2: That was kind of our song on our season. That
- 13:08Speaker 2: was our song. Yeah, it was on the bus. It
- 13:12Speaker 2: would be played, We would have a producer play it
- 13:14Speaker 2: on their phone. We knew every words, every word. We
- 13:18Speaker 2: would all sing it together and it was it was
- 13:21Speaker 2: odd ash like it was. It's a good song. But
- 13:24Speaker 2: I remember moments when I was missing home, or I
- 13:27Speaker 2: was missing friends, or things weren't going.
- 13:30Speaker 3: You know.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Well, during that season, it's a long journey, and what
- 13:35Speaker 2: you know viewers don't get to see is there was
- 13:37Speaker 2: a lot of long bus rides and a lot of
- 13:40Speaker 2: long flights, and a lot of time sitting in silence
- 13:44Speaker 2: alone and just kind of processing that song. At some
- 13:47Speaker 2: point turned to me to be a very emotional song
- 13:51Speaker 2: because it was the only music I could hear, and
- 13:53Speaker 2: then I started to relate with it, and as the group.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I have this vivid memory We're heading back from one
- 14:00Speaker 2: of our first dates in a bus and all these
- 14:03Speaker 2: guys are singing this song.
- 14:06Speaker 4: It's a unity moment, yeah, And.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I remember looking around and being like, this is a
- 14:09Speaker 2: moment I want to remember no matter what, Like this
- 14:12Speaker 2: is a good moment because I'll never have this again.
- 14:18Speaker 2: I don't know how long this is going to last.
- 14:20Speaker 2: At this point, it was still early on. It was
- 14:22Speaker 2: in we were in San Antonio at the time, But
- 14:24Speaker 2: I remember this vivid memory of sitting in the back
- 14:26Speaker 2: of the bus looking around of all these guys from
- 14:28Speaker 2: all these different places in the world, with all these
- 14:30Speaker 2: different personalities, guys who have fought with each other, guys
- 14:33Speaker 2: who don't like each other, which we'll get we'll get
- 14:36Speaker 2: into with the brain situation. But we were all singing
- 14:38Speaker 2: one song together as like twenty five to thirty five
- 14:43Speaker 2: year old men, and I was like, this is a
- 14:46Speaker 2: good moment. This is sacred, Like this is a moment
- 14:50Speaker 2: I want to hold on to.
- 14:51Speaker 3: That's another almost famous movie moment.
- 14:54Speaker 4: You're right yeah, right, yeah.
- 14:57Speaker 3: And then just to tie that with Taylor and really,
- 14:59Speaker 3: my this a full circle moment. Taylor's nineteen eighty nine
- 15:03Speaker 3: album was about to come out when I was on Chrystals.
- 15:05Speaker 3: This season came out about five days I think after
- 15:09Speaker 3: I was eliminated, and I kept thinking, I was like,
- 15:11Speaker 3: you know what, I'm eliminated, but now I get to
- 15:13Speaker 3: listen to Taylor's album when it comes out.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Isn't that amazing?
- 15:17Speaker 3: Yeah? That was that was fun. This is truly one
- 15:19Speaker 3: of the first things I thought about and the girls.
- 15:23Speaker 3: The single was shaken Off, okay, and I remember being
- 15:26Speaker 3: on the camping trip and we had the producers play
- 15:29Speaker 3: shake it Off. I don't even know if they played
- 15:31Speaker 3: it because we all just knew it by heart already,
- 15:34Speaker 3: and we were dancing around in our bathing suits, kicking
- 15:37Speaker 3: our legs, like giving the shake it Off arm. And
- 15:41Speaker 3: then when I was on Jimmy Kimmel talking about the
- 15:44Speaker 3: bad Lands, you know, he had me sing shake it
- 15:46Speaker 3: Off because he was referring to Kelsey in the bad
- 15:48Speaker 3: Lands and He's like, what are you gonna do? And
- 15:50Speaker 3: I was like, shake, shake, shake it off.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Music has a special place. I'm glad that you went
- 16:05Speaker 2: to the concert last night. I'm glad you're here with
- 16:07Speaker 2: us today. We do need to jump into mantel Alle Ashley.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Uh.
- 16:12Speaker 4: You know, I do think we're a little bit.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Just.
- 16:20Speaker 4: I don't want to say sad.
- 16:21Speaker 2: This week isn't one that we look forward to because
- 16:23Speaker 2: we were As we mentioned last week, we're so engaged
- 16:26Speaker 2: and now that the love story and the journey that
- 16:29Speaker 2: this feels like an odd break.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Uh. It does feel like a filler to us.
- 16:35Speaker 2: However, we did have the big announcement of Gary coming
- 16:38Speaker 2: on you know, national television for the first time, uh
- 16:44Speaker 2: as the Golden Bachelor. I think that's a big announcement.
- 16:46Speaker 2: I I still will put my Uh. If I if
- 16:50Speaker 2: I was a betting man, which i am, I would
- 16:53Speaker 2: say that show is gonna do well. It should do well.
- 16:56Speaker 2: I think the show has the potential to do really well.
- 17:00Speaker 2: After watching it last night, though, I Uh, our producer
- 17:05Speaker 2: Amy called, I said, Amy, I'm bombed.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Now she did, yeah, she called me and I said,
- 17:10Speaker 4: I'm bombed. I'm really bombed. I know I've said it.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I was going from the stance of begging to saying
- 17:16Speaker 2: pleading to saying, Hey, I really like to be involved.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I think it's going to be a good show. I
- 17:20Speaker 2: feel like this is the only show that fits me well.
- 17:23Speaker 2: To now, I'm just bummed because I don't get why
- 17:25Speaker 2: I'm not being at all on the show, Like I
- 17:28Speaker 2: have no idea to.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Be honest about the fact you're open to being honest. Sure,
- 17:36Speaker 3: exactly what's kind of happened?
- 17:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I've just gotten like I've gotten teased like, hey, yeah,
- 17:41Speaker 2: we're going to have you involved.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Hey, we're going to have you around, and then nothing.
- 17:45Speaker 3: And they've asked you for specific things and then nothing,
- 17:48Speaker 3: and then it's part of episodes and then they canceled
- 17:50Speaker 3: on you.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really weird to me, and I'm really sad
- 17:53Speaker 2: about it that.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Ever happened before where you've been canceled on by them
- 17:56Speaker 3: so many times?
- 17:57Speaker 4: Uh no, because I never get asked for anything.
- 18:00Speaker 3: And you have come back for plenty of this.
- 18:02Speaker 2: The year afterwards when I was like under contract, I
- 18:07Speaker 2: haven't been on.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Well, we were both on Matt season. You were on
- 18:10Speaker 3: Matt season.
- 18:11Speaker 2: I was on Matt season. I think only because I
- 18:13Speaker 2: was the only one that would uh quarantine and run
- 18:16Speaker 2: for five days I only agree to quarantine for five
- 18:19Speaker 2: days and some random resort that was beautiful in Pennsylvania.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Nice.
- 18:23Speaker 2: You know you're but not to make this, you know,
- 18:25Speaker 2: But I'm just bummed now, Like I'm really sad because
- 18:28Speaker 2: I don't think there is going to be an opportunity
- 18:30Speaker 2: for me to be involved in this in this show.
- 18:32Speaker 2: And he's from Indiana. I've really you know, we we're
- 18:36Speaker 2: thirty minutes from each other. Before I even knew who
- 18:39Speaker 2: it was, I thought it was a great concept. I
- 18:42Speaker 2: do secretly know a few of the cast members from Indiana.
- 18:48Speaker 3: They're oh, they pulled women from Indiana.
- 18:51Speaker 4: The couple of them. Yeah. I have been reached out
- 18:53Speaker 4: and kind of.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Told I've been smart honestly because that he's not going
- 18:58Speaker 3: to leave that Indiana.
- 19:00Speaker 4: It's very smart.
- 19:01Speaker 2: And so it just feels like, if anything, like I
- 19:04Speaker 2: would have loved to just be there and be like, hey,
- 19:06Speaker 2: how you holding up, Bud, Like, don't even put me
- 19:09Speaker 2: on the television show. I'm not saying that, Like I'm
- 19:12Speaker 2: saying I just would like to be around for his
- 19:14Speaker 2: experience because I'm invested into into it.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Well, Ben feels like he's, you know, in the middle
- 19:19Speaker 3: of a toxic relationship, but I do think that. I
- 19:25Speaker 3: know it sounds like we're like, you know, we talk
- 19:26Speaker 3: about this every week and all that, but he really
- 19:29Speaker 3: means a lot to Ben, and it's not because Ben
- 19:30Speaker 3: wants to be on TV. Like, let's be clear.
- 19:32Speaker 4: About that show.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Me on I said, I would work buying the scenes
- 19:38Speaker 2: like I would do I don't know, like be Gary's personal,
- 19:40Speaker 2: like I'd be a handler like I just I just
- 19:44Speaker 2: want to.
- 19:44Speaker 3: It would be a great handler for him. Handlers are
- 19:47Speaker 3: so important on that show, and they also are a
- 19:50Speaker 3: good support system because they're not producers and they're not cast.
- 19:55Speaker 4: I just would like to have been around to like
- 19:58Speaker 4: encourage mo. So I'm bummed Field.
- 20:00Speaker 3: I think you're gonna be part of like the final rows,
- 20:02Speaker 3: like the top three.
- 20:04Speaker 2: They would have to tell me very soon I would
- 20:06Speaker 2: say that I'm leaving. But anyways, so yeah, so kind
- 20:11Speaker 2: of a tough relationship right now, but he was announced.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I am still very excited for him. I'm gonna be
- 20:17Speaker 2: a huge fan of this season. I know you are
- 20:18Speaker 2: as well. He did have his some great moments. I okay,
- 20:25Speaker 2: you FaceTime me the other night with a group of
- 20:27Speaker 2: women that you went out with and they had made
- 20:31Speaker 2: the comment to me that I haven't heard yet, but
- 20:33Speaker 2: I haven't talked to many people about it. They said
- 20:36Speaker 2: Gary's hot, like they were, and they're all like our age,
- 20:41Speaker 2: like Gary is an attractive man.
- 20:43Speaker 3: He is.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Very as we spoke about, kind of naive about how
- 20:48Speaker 2: much this is gonna propel his life into the spotlight.
- 20:52Speaker 4: But he is an attractive man, and I think.
- 20:55Speaker 3: My sister says he's has never been more attracted to
- 20:58Speaker 3: a bachelor before.
- 20:59Speaker 4: No, I take that personally.
- 21:02Speaker 3: I know I'm gonna take that first one or two.
- 21:04Speaker 3: I'm like, Lauren, Ben Nick Chryssoles, come on, now.
- 21:07Speaker 4: I know you have been Yeah.
- 21:10Speaker 2: No, But I mean so he has that kind of
- 21:12Speaker 2: poll that we were wondering if you would have, where
- 21:14Speaker 2: he is an attractive man, and I think he shows
- 21:19Speaker 2: up great on camera. I thought he was had a
- 21:21Speaker 2: great couple of moments on Mentel Hawe.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Uh.
- 21:24Speaker 4: He's endearing and.
- 21:25Speaker 2: I believe this could be a great love story. So
- 21:28Speaker 2: after my question for you, after seeing Gary on national
- 21:32Speaker 2: television really for the first time, are you as excited
- 21:36Speaker 2: about this Golden Bachelor as you were before?
- 21:39Speaker 3: Ben, Yeah, I could not be more excited. Again, I
- 21:42Speaker 3: am joked totally genuinely. If I didn't have we didn't
- 21:47Speaker 3: have Almost Famous, I would be so excited about this season.
- 21:52Speaker 3: I have friends who haven't watched the show in a while,
- 21:54Speaker 3: and they text me and they go, when is this starting?
- 21:56Speaker 3: Because I'm very curious. This man is everything we've wanted.
- 22:02Speaker 3: A lead from the franchise when he was telling his
- 22:06Speaker 3: story about his wife and how they bought their dream
- 22:11Speaker 3: home and then she literally passes away within two weeks
- 22:16Speaker 3: of them signing the purchase in a crazy way where
- 22:21Speaker 3: it's just like she had an infection. They brought her,
- 22:23Speaker 3: he brought her to the emergency room and she was
- 22:25Speaker 3: gone within a week. I mean the way that he
- 22:27Speaker 3: spoke about it, and he's so emotional, and he seems
- 22:31Speaker 3: so comfortable being emotional, and I love that. And the
- 22:35Speaker 3: way that he answers his questions are also perfect, Like
- 22:39Speaker 3: like Jesse asked him if he believes in two Loves
- 22:42Speaker 3: of his Life, which is a Sex and the City episode,
- 22:45Speaker 3: and it's great, but he handled it so well. He goes,
- 22:50Speaker 3: I don't think that this I'm looking for a love
- 22:52Speaker 3: the way I had with my wife. You can definitely
- 22:55Speaker 3: maybe I gathered it. Yeah, like I think he's looking
- 22:57Speaker 3: more like for like an old end of life chapter companion.
- 23:02Speaker 3: You know, he wants he believes that he's going to
- 23:05Speaker 3: be able to find somebody who's this perfect match. But
- 23:10Speaker 3: I definitely think that he's just going to think about
- 23:12Speaker 3: the two hopefully wives totally separate for totally separate parts
- 23:17Speaker 3: of life. Like he just worded it so well, and
- 23:21Speaker 3: he's so emotional and he's so endearing and funny, like
- 23:26Speaker 3: he I don't even he Like the funniness is like
- 23:31Speaker 3: half unintentional and the other half is like he's actually
- 23:34Speaker 3: kind of a witty dude, and he's going to be
- 23:37Speaker 3: so dynamic on screen. He's so full rounded and like
- 23:41Speaker 3: he comes with that confidence where he's like, I don't
- 23:43Speaker 3: need to impress anyone. This is just me because he's
- 23:45Speaker 3: so much older than when we normally see is the lead.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I'm just so stoked. This episode got me thrilled. I
- 23:52Speaker 3: want everybody who's ever been a Bachelor fan and they've
- 23:56Speaker 3: kind of like given up on the show over the years,
- 23:58Speaker 3: to just watch this clip, like the five minutes in
- 24:01Speaker 3: the mental all so that they will be also excited
- 24:05Speaker 3: for a new chapter of the franchise.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Yeah, a couple of things there. If everybody listens to
- 24:09Speaker 2: this podcast weekly and we know our numbers watches, the
- 24:13Speaker 2: Golden Bachelor will have probably better ratings than both Bachelor
- 24:18Speaker 2: and Bachelor at seasons. So if everybody here, if we
- 24:21Speaker 2: can convince them to tune in, and you know, it's funny.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Yesterday I played in a golf tournament and I was
- 24:27Speaker 2: in a group of five other guys and I was
- 24:32Speaker 2: explaining to them the concept of the Golden Bachelor, and
- 24:35Speaker 2: they were like, that's a show I want to watch,
- 24:38Speaker 2: and we're you know, there was some laughter to it too.
- 24:40Speaker 2: It's like, hey, what you know, as we've kind of
- 24:42Speaker 2: joked about, like when's the last time you saw a
- 24:44Speaker 2: sixty year old two six year old's like making out
- 24:47Speaker 2: like you know it and they're like, yeah, that's wild,
- 24:50Speaker 2: but like the story could be really intriguing. I think
- 24:53Speaker 2: this is going to go go cross demographics. It's going
- 24:59Speaker 2: to bring in new viewership. I'll put the bet down
- 25:02Speaker 2: right now that it has the potential to get more
- 25:05Speaker 2: viewership than the Bachelor or Bachelorette is getting Right now,
- 25:10Speaker 2: I think it is going to bring back in the
- 25:12Speaker 2: old fans.
- 25:13Speaker 3: I hope time frame is concerning though, is a ten
- 25:17Speaker 3: pm slot. I think that we're just going to get
- 25:19Speaker 3: a lot of people streaming.
- 25:20Speaker 2: It, sure, but I don't think it's going to stay
- 25:24Speaker 2: in the ten pm slot for long. I do think
- 25:27Speaker 2: this could be a new thing. A few other comments
- 25:30Speaker 2: based on what you were saying. You know, I have
- 25:32Speaker 2: a few examples in my life of people who have
- 25:34Speaker 2: lost spouses.
- 25:37Speaker 4: Two different spectrums.
- 25:38Speaker 2: One my football coach in high school, lost his wife
- 25:42Speaker 2: suddenly to cancer at like thirty eight years old, right,
- 25:47Speaker 2: and they were deeply in love. And so then two
- 25:51Speaker 2: years later, maybe he found a new partner. Somebody came
- 25:55Speaker 2: into his life, somebody he knew before, and they got married.
- 25:58Speaker 2: And here's the beautiful thing to it. They both run
- 26:02Speaker 2: the foundation in his former wife hit the memory. They
- 26:10Speaker 2: run the foundation together, they put on events in her name,
- 26:13Speaker 2: and like that's such a beautiful thing to think, you know.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I think that's what Gary was saying is it doesn't
- 26:17Speaker 2: have to be the same kind of love. It doesn't
- 26:19Speaker 2: have to be an equal amount of love. It's there's
- 26:22Speaker 2: a love. And the second side story i'd share.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Yet talking about like wanting to just like wake up
- 26:29Speaker 3: to somebody and feel whole again, which I know a
- 26:31Speaker 3: lot of people say, like somebody shouldn't completely or make
- 26:35Speaker 3: you feel whole, You should feel like that by yourself.
- 26:36Speaker 3: But I just love the way that he's like kind
- 26:38Speaker 3: of old school and traditional about that thought.
- 26:40Speaker 4: Well, and if it's how he feels, it's how he feels.
- 26:42Speaker 4: It's the truth.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I mean, we can't say, hey, you're you're not seeing
- 26:46Speaker 2: the world correctly, or hey, you aren't up with modern times.
- 26:49Speaker 3: No.
- 26:49Speaker 2: If that's what he wants and how he feels, that
- 26:51Speaker 2: is how he should live and what he should pursue,
- 26:54Speaker 2: we are not here to criticize him on either way.
- 26:57Speaker 2: The other one is my I have a great uncle
- 26:59Speaker 2: who lost his wife suddenly after geez, fifty years of
- 27:02Speaker 2: marriage just a few years ago, and a few months
- 27:06Speaker 2: later he found a new partner that he's been dating
- 27:09Speaker 2: or whatever, you know, going to visit for the last
- 27:11Speaker 2: like three years. And if you talk to him, it's
- 27:14Speaker 2: because he says, I don't want to be alone, Like
- 27:16Speaker 2: I like having somebody beside me, I like having somebody
- 27:20Speaker 2: to do things with.
- 27:21Speaker 4: Like it doesn't you know.
- 27:24Speaker 2: I think when you're with a partner for so long,
- 27:28Speaker 2: I think you get used to that and you desire
- 27:30Speaker 2: to have that again. And I'll go and I'll close
- 27:32Speaker 2: here with Michael Ay's famous quote where he said, Yeah,
- 27:36Speaker 2: how lucky.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Am I to be able to find love twice?
- 27:38Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, And they'll just point out he's been a
- 27:42Speaker 3: widower for six years now, and he was just full
- 27:47Speaker 3: of wisdom, and I love We're going to get this.
- 27:49Speaker 3: I love that the guys you know in Charity season,
- 27:51Speaker 3: when asked if they had any advice for him, they
- 27:55Speaker 3: were like, dude, we don't have advice for you. You
- 27:57Speaker 3: can give us advice. And it was really sweet, and
- 28:00Speaker 3: he said, like, just make sure that you tell your
- 28:04Speaker 3: partner every day that you love them, and like give
- 28:07Speaker 3: him a big hug, because the amount of time that
- 28:10Speaker 3: you have left with them is like unbelievably well, it
- 28:13Speaker 3: could end at any time, but also like it's even
- 28:16Speaker 3: in a long, long relationship, is so fast. Oh, he's
- 28:21Speaker 3: just such a freaking cutie buttuti. And I'm just so
- 28:23Speaker 3: sad that, like I don't even why do I say
- 28:26Speaker 3: that I'm sad. I'm like that was just such a
- 28:31Speaker 3: highlight of the episode, or I was the biggest time
- 28:33Speaker 3: a few minutes that like, yeah, I feel bad about
- 28:37Speaker 3: like not really remembering a ton more from like the
- 28:40Speaker 3: tell All part.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Well, let's jump into the tell All part part. I
- 28:44Speaker 2: would categorize the tell All as Braiden's show. I mean
- 28:48Speaker 2: everybody talked about Braiden. Everybody was, you know, only draw
- 28:50Speaker 2: him on the entire season. Basically Sure, but isn't it
- 28:55Speaker 2: wouldn't it be great if the villain or the dry
- 29:00Speaker 2: wasn't the thing to take. I mean that's maybe why
- 29:02Speaker 2: we are feeling like this episode doesn't it's misplaced in
- 29:06Speaker 2: this season because the drama has not.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Been They haven't had really drama.
- 29:11Speaker 4: The front and center.
- 29:12Speaker 2: It's been a love story, and so this mentell all
- 29:15Speaker 2: felt like it flashed us back to previous seasons where
- 29:18Speaker 2: we're like, the drama is just so intense that it's
- 29:20Speaker 2: hard to watch because there's nothing that feels healthy or
- 29:23Speaker 2: good coming from it. The mente all felt that way
- 29:26Speaker 2: to me from all sides. Ultimately, though, I think bringing
- 29:31Speaker 2: out what he wanted He's going to Paradise.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Yeah. The big thing I think that they focused on
- 29:38Speaker 3: with him, and which I really appreciated what the show
- 29:41Speaker 3: did with it, was that they kept saying, you called
- 29:45Speaker 3: charity class list, you called her class over and over again,
- 29:51Speaker 3: and he's like, I did not, And then the show
- 29:54Speaker 3: flashes the screen going to commercial and says, we've got
- 30:00Speaker 3: through all the footage we can and we cannot find
- 30:04Speaker 3: anywhere that he said classless.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Hmmm, what do you think is happening there? Is it
- 30:10Speaker 2: kind of the game of telephone? Is it them just
- 30:13Speaker 2: getting so upset with Braiden that like things are being misconstrued?
- 30:19Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 30:20Speaker 4: Do you feel bad for Braiden Ashley?
- 30:22Speaker 3: You know that I have, Like I'm I don't have
- 30:24Speaker 3: a soft spot for him. I just think that he's
- 30:26Speaker 3: been an overblown villain. Okay, he certainly made his mistakes,
- 30:30Speaker 3: and he definitely shouldn't have been on a show where
- 30:35Speaker 3: you should be getting engaged at the end.
- 30:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Like, also, I don't think he did anything super villainous,
- 30:43Speaker 3: and I think that there's just been I think the
- 30:45Speaker 3: guys are honestly, they were a little threatened by him.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think when you have the first
- 30:49Speaker 2: impression was I would actually say, this is the closest
- 30:54Speaker 2: thing to Olivia Creedy that I've seen. Yeah, in years,
- 30:58Speaker 2: you know, she got the first impression rows and then
- 30:59Speaker 2: it felt like the target was on her back and
- 31:03Speaker 2: and then it kind of spiraled, and I would take
- 31:06Speaker 2: blame for that, you know, personally as well, that I
- 31:09Speaker 2: let it spiral, or that I didn't. I don't know
- 31:11Speaker 2: if I didn't see through, but there was like the
- 31:15Speaker 2: drama did play a part in my decision making because
- 31:21Speaker 2: it was like, yeah, everybody else doesn't like enjoy you know, right,
- 31:26Speaker 2: you know, her being around, and so why should I
- 31:28Speaker 2: enjoy her being around?
- 31:30Speaker 4: And I did let it play too much into it,
- 31:32Speaker 4: and she didn't deserve it at all.
- 31:35Speaker 2: I think she just had the target on her back,
- 31:37Speaker 2: and I don't think all people can handle that like
- 31:43Speaker 2: well or do it without controversy.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Yep, yep, yep, exactly Jesse. I think it was Jesse.
- 31:50Speaker 3: I don't know if somebody said Brydon was his problem
- 31:55Speaker 3: was being too honest and having weird earrings. That's basically
- 31:59Speaker 3: what it was.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Yeah, those didn't help. I can't. I would say those
- 32:03Speaker 4: didn't help. The scarves and.
- 32:04Speaker 3: They definitely didn't because they put off an air of
- 32:07Speaker 3: cockiness where he was like, I can pull these off.
- 32:10Speaker 4: Well.
- 32:12Speaker 2: I was looking at a picture after the show and
- 32:15Speaker 2: like he has a very interesting like wardrobe or vibe
- 32:21Speaker 2: and you know, clothes I've learned over my time and
- 32:25Speaker 2: be married are meant to express your personality, and so
- 32:28Speaker 2: maybe that's just his personality where he can wear funky
- 32:31Speaker 2: earrings but also like slick his hair back, wear a suit,
- 32:34Speaker 2: and wear like very fancy, like old school glasses. Like nothing,
- 32:39Speaker 2: nothing is consistent there in his wardrobe. It's just like
- 32:43Speaker 2: I'll throw whatever feels good to me on. But maybe
- 32:45Speaker 2: that is how he feels internally, is like a little chaotic,
- 32:48Speaker 2: a little bit like I want to just wear what
- 32:50Speaker 2: I want to wear.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Yep. Oh, but there was something that came out on
- 32:54Speaker 3: TikTok and we missed this a few weeks ago. My
- 32:57Speaker 3: sister said that there's this girl that was dating Brandon
- 33:00Speaker 3: and like went on family vacations and stuff. Pretty much
- 33:03Speaker 3: a classic scenario if you can get every year now
- 33:07Speaker 3: with all this social media. She said that he left
- 33:11Speaker 3: her to go on the show and that they were
- 33:13Speaker 3: a pretty committed relationship.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't, I don't, I don't know. I've I've
- 33:18Speaker 2: expressed my thoughts on that before. As long as you
- 33:21Speaker 2: in that relationship, then you're probably telling that.
- 33:24Speaker 4: Person that it wasn't gonna happen.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it wasn't gonna happen anyways. And so it goes
- 33:30Speaker 2: back to the question how soon is too soon? Hopefully
- 33:32Speaker 2: he handled it well, But I just don't think that
- 33:35Speaker 2: is as big as story as maybe we want to
- 33:37Speaker 2: make it, because like, if you ended the relationship to
- 33:39Speaker 2: go on the show because you didn't think that other
- 33:42Speaker 2: relationship was, you're forever Okay, I can't be I'm not
- 33:47Speaker 2: mad at him for it. I mean, it sucks probably
- 33:50Speaker 2: to be broken up with and to be, you know,
- 33:52Speaker 2: a couple of months later you're watching this person on
- 33:55Speaker 2: national television. The scenario isn't good and there's probably really
- 34:00Speaker 2: a lot of better ways to go about it. But
- 34:02Speaker 2: if you ended it. Now, if you didn't end it
- 34:04Speaker 2: and you went on the show, that's a problem. But
- 34:07Speaker 2: if you ended it you made that very clear, then
- 34:10Speaker 2: what you know, who are we to you know, Judge right, exactly,
- 34:15Speaker 2: A couple other people stood out to you. I'm gonna
- 34:18Speaker 2: get your just very short thoughts Ashley on it. Sean
- 34:21Speaker 2: Sean has some moments here.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Sean basically just came after Braiden again, like he just
- 34:27Speaker 3: loves to come after Brandon, and he was the one
- 34:32Speaker 3: that was really drilling the whole class list thing.
- 34:34Speaker 4: You know, sure, Okay, so Sean's there, and then I.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Think the big thing we're talking about is probably Xavier
- 34:41Speaker 3: in the Hoazia.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Xavier in the hot seat is the kind of the
- 34:44Speaker 2: final You know, you had the Braiden, you had the Sean,
- 34:48Speaker 2: you had the Xaviers. There was really nobody else that
- 34:51Speaker 2: made a massive impression, and nobody that really the podcast
- 34:56Speaker 2: here is going to talk about, because only some other
- 34:58Speaker 2: people that talked had only been there for you know,
- 35:00Speaker 2: a week, and they were you know, using this as
- 35:02Speaker 2: their one moment to kind of have their final word.
- 35:05Speaker 2: But the Xavier situation was one that I was going
- 35:08Speaker 2: to be intrigued by because I did feel like their
- 35:12Speaker 2: breakup on the show was a difficult one for Charity.
- 35:17Speaker 2: I didn't understand if it was going to be difficult
- 35:20Speaker 2: for Xavier. What was your take from his hot seat?
- 35:25Speaker 3: Just that he like hates the fact that he was
- 35:28Speaker 3: honest and then his honesty kicked him in the blood.
- 35:32Speaker 2: That's such I don't love that, right, Like I hate
- 35:35Speaker 2: that I was so honest. Well, no, you were honest,
- 35:37Speaker 2: and you should be. I think everybody's thankful that you
- 35:40Speaker 2: were honest. I mean you were ready. I think you
- 35:43Speaker 2: could have been honest a little earlier. Maybe you didn't
- 35:45Speaker 2: realize it then. But the worst thing that he could
- 35:49Speaker 2: have done, and the worst thing that could have happened
- 35:50Speaker 2: to Charity was he was not honest at any point.
- 35:53Speaker 2: They get off the show, she thinks she found her
- 35:56Speaker 2: forever love, and then a couple of days later he's like, oh, yeah,
- 35:59Speaker 2: by the way, like I'm not ready, Like that would
- 36:02Speaker 2: be crushing.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Yes, exactly. He also clarified why he said I love
- 36:08Speaker 3: you at the limo and or the suv when he
- 36:11Speaker 3: was leaving, and I was like, didn't I guess like
- 36:15Speaker 3: he had said I'm falling in love with you the
- 36:17Speaker 3: week before at hometown, so it wasn't jarring to us,
- 36:19Speaker 3: Like we never even mentioned this on last week's podcast,
- 36:22Speaker 3: that he said love you when he was leaving, But
- 36:26Speaker 3: I guess it was kind of a bigger deal because
- 36:28Speaker 3: he crossed the bridge from falling in love to saying
- 36:31Speaker 3: I love you, Charity, and he just said that in
- 36:33Speaker 3: that moment, he really just wanted her to know that,
- 36:36Speaker 3: like where you know that he had those deep feelings
- 36:39Speaker 3: for her, and you know, just like again just wanting
- 36:43Speaker 3: to be honest with everything that he was experiencing.
- 36:46Speaker 4: Yeah, and then.
- 36:47Speaker 3: There's the knit rose. You know, the knit ros. It
- 36:51Speaker 3: was so freaking it was so she was like, no,
- 36:54Speaker 3: thank you, thank you. This is going to go in
- 36:56Speaker 3: the trash. I mean, it's gonna be weird if I
- 36:58Speaker 3: keep a knit rose from a man who I dumbed
- 37:02Speaker 3: a couple of weeks before getting engaged. You know, in
- 37:07Speaker 3: the humane is such a dramatic fashion, it's like kind
- 37:10Speaker 3: of silly. You know, they're like you're going to You're
- 37:12Speaker 3: gonna get up from the seat next to her and
- 37:14Speaker 3: you're gonna say, I just need one minute. I got
- 37:17Speaker 3: to get something for you. And it comes back with
- 37:19Speaker 3: as it's just like such a TV moment.
- 37:22Speaker 4: It is not impressed now I do.
- 37:26Speaker 2: I would recommend if I, if we talk to Charity,
- 37:28Speaker 2: say keep all.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Those those things.
- 37:30Speaker 2: I know that you know one day you'll look back
- 37:32Speaker 2: when it means you know, when the pain is less
- 37:36Speaker 2: and the memories are further back, and you look back
- 37:38Speaker 2: and just be like that was a that was a
- 37:40Speaker 2: crazy season of life.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Do you have anything? I have a whole lot like
- 37:44Speaker 3: that sticks out to you because I have still the
- 37:47Speaker 3: tractor that Crystals gave me for winning the tractor race,
- 37:53Speaker 3: my little gift for winning, and it's it's in my
- 37:55Speaker 3: room in my parents' house.
- 37:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:57Speaker 2: I still have a whole tub full of anything that
- 37:59Speaker 2: was gifted to me. And I still have all of
- 38:01Speaker 2: my roses that have been dried out sitting in a
- 38:04Speaker 2: jar here.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Well, that's cute from Caitlyn season.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Or ones that you've given out Caitlin season. You know,
- 38:10Speaker 2: there's just like there's things that make you remember that season.
- 38:15Speaker 2: I don't have, but I do have a tub somewhere
- 38:17Speaker 2: in my house full of all the gifts. I would
- 38:21Speaker 2: have to search hard to find it, but I do
- 38:23Speaker 2: still have them.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Yeah, Ashley, that was the mentel I'll breakdown.
- 38:28Speaker 2: In my opinion, the rest of Charity season is one
- 38:32Speaker 2: that we are excited for. We are going to be
- 38:35Speaker 2: diving into the sneak peaks. I didn't feel like gave
- 38:38Speaker 2: us a lot other than the fact that this is
- 38:41Speaker 2: really hard on Charity and I think we expected that
- 38:43Speaker 2: for weeks.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Yeah, but we also see her kiss Aaron, like she
- 38:48Speaker 3: kisses Aaron and she's like, well, she says, this is
- 38:52Speaker 3: changing everything. And again, like I said, lastly, a good girl. No, no, Yeah,
- 38:56Speaker 3: you just said that you're basically in love with these
- 38:58Speaker 3: other two. Do not this guy that you already eliminated
- 39:01Speaker 3: back in. You eliminated him for a reason. Ye, and
- 39:04Speaker 3: you have two amazing candidates in front of you. I
- 39:08Speaker 3: still the role that her mom's going to play next week.
- 39:11Speaker 3: I'm very excited to see that, because they showed quite a.
- 39:13Speaker 4: Bit it does.
- 39:14Speaker 2: This situation with Aaron does bring some some unforeseen intrigue
- 39:20Speaker 2: into the last two episodes, and I do think it's
- 39:24Speaker 2: going to switch things up a bit. I you know,
- 39:27Speaker 2: last week we were speculating how much of a role
- 39:30Speaker 2: Aaron was going to play. We didn't know if him
- 39:32Speaker 2: walking in the beach was just b roll, if he
- 39:34Speaker 2: was going to be in and out. I think he
- 39:36Speaker 2: is going to play a role in in this whole thing.
- 39:39Speaker 2: I I still suspect he doesn't make it to the
- 39:43Speaker 2: final two. I don't see that happening now, but I
- 39:51Speaker 2: do think maybe he's around another ceremony. Yeah, I could
- 39:53Speaker 2: see him get in a fantasy suite. I could see
- 39:55Speaker 2: them having it daily. Yeah, I could see that, But
- 39:57Speaker 2: I don't see him.
- 39:59Speaker 3: Just get it your system, like know what ifs.
- 40:02Speaker 4: Know what ifs.
- 40:13Speaker 2: It's time for bachelor headlines. Kaylin miller Key celebrates dream
- 40:18Speaker 2: bachelorette trip of head ahead of wedding to Dean. This
- 40:22Speaker 2: according to people. My wife Jessica was on this trip.
- 40:25Speaker 2: She said it was she was absolutely fan freakingtastic.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Aw Ben, Well, then you cover the headline. What did
- 40:34Speaker 3: they do? Oh?
- 40:35Speaker 2: I mean so very much. Kind of mirrored Kaylen's personality.
- 40:41Speaker 2: She isn't a big go outer. She likes to do
- 40:44Speaker 2: really fun things in close groups. And so they stayed
- 40:47Speaker 2: at a great resort in San Diego. I forget the
- 40:52Speaker 2: name of it. One second, hey.
- 40:53Speaker 4: Han, what was the name of your resort?
- 40:57Speaker 2: The Rancho Bernardo in and Sandy Diego. And they played pickleball,
- 41:03Speaker 2: they played with puppies, They went on some brunches, they
- 41:05Speaker 2: went on a picnic, they dressed up in dresses. They
- 41:09Speaker 2: had a lot of good times together around the resort,
- 41:13Speaker 2: They went out to dinner. It was a really good weekend.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Jessica came back very happy. And you know, one of
- 41:20Speaker 2: the things we talked about last night, she said, I
- 41:22Speaker 2: believe Caitlen felt very celebrated.
- 41:25Speaker 4: I hope she did.
- 41:26Speaker 2: She was very loved on, and she is very loved,
- 41:29Speaker 2: and so I'm hoping she feels the same way because
- 41:32Speaker 2: it sounded like an awesome bachelorette.
- 41:36Speaker 3: I'm so happy for her. That's awesome. Next one, I'll
- 41:40Speaker 3: take this headline so I can throw it to you.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Caitlin Brisos wanted filming The Golden Bachelor. She did post
- 41:49Speaker 3: this on her Instagram story a couple days ago, saying
- 41:52Speaker 3: that she was going to be part of one of
- 41:54Speaker 3: those public dates. Yeah, you're like, is she the host?
- 42:00Speaker 2: So she was the host, which would have been you know,
- 42:04Speaker 2: I just I just don't understand anymore. I love Caitlin.
- 42:09Speaker 2: She's been around a ton. She should be used a ton.
- 42:12Speaker 4: I just like that.
- 42:13Speaker 2: That would have been a cool thing for like, I
- 42:16Speaker 2: don't know again, I would have loved to work it,
- 42:18Speaker 2: like let me set up the pillows on the sofa.
- 42:20Speaker 2: But yeah, she was spotted there. She's going to be
- 42:23Speaker 2: a part of this season. She was posting about it.
- 42:25Speaker 3: We don't know much about it. We don't know much.
- 42:27Speaker 4: I don't know anything.
- 42:28Speaker 3: It's like there was a video on TikTok of a
- 42:31Speaker 3: girl of like a whole bunch of ladies arriving on
- 42:34Speaker 3: a party bus at the Canyon Club in La. Yeah,
- 42:39Speaker 3: and Caitlyn was there, so it's just gonna be you know,
- 42:41Speaker 3: it's just gonna host a ladies group date.
- 42:44Speaker 4: Yeah, that's great.
- 42:46Speaker 2: Maybe I need to be more critical of the show.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Maybe that's the way to get back on this show.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Maybe that's the way to get a job.
- 42:51Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Bachelor in Paradise stars Abigail and Noah are engaged.
- 42:56Speaker 4: The proposal was perfect, they.
- 42:59Speaker 3: Said, yes, Congratulations the happy couple. This actually is according
- 43:04Speaker 3: to you know, our girl Bachelor data and just like
- 43:07Speaker 3: simple math, that season of The Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise,
- 43:11Speaker 3: I think it was season seven, and from season seven,
- 43:14Speaker 3: we have Serena and Joe married, Marie and Kenny about
- 43:18Speaker 3: to be married, Noah and Abigail now engaged, Reckond Thomas
- 43:21Speaker 3: engaged with baby on the way, Piper and Brandon are
- 43:26Speaker 3: still together no way, yeah, out of the limelight, but
- 43:30Speaker 3: still together. And then Alana and Chris, another very controversial
- 43:34Speaker 3: couple from that season still together.
- 43:37Speaker 4: Yeah. I forgot about that. Wow, what a successful Paradise
- 43:41Speaker 4: goodness gracious.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Yeah, So, I mean, congratulations, We're so happy they have
- 43:48Speaker 3: been together for Oh my gosh, this has been it
- 43:51Speaker 3: has been two whole years. And there was a four
- 43:57Speaker 3: cared oval shaped ring of course of the engaged and
- 44:02Speaker 3: it's by Keysar Jewelry. Becca and Thomas played a big
- 44:06Speaker 3: role in getting the whole scene set up for Noah
- 44:11Speaker 3: to propose arrangements and all that and just a beautiful,
- 44:19Speaker 3: beautiful look engagement scene. As you can see on their Instagram.
- 44:23Speaker 3: They walked up on a sa up, well, they walked
- 44:25Speaker 3: up on the stairs to a rooftop and there are
- 44:28Speaker 3: roses and candles overlooking the ocean, so pretty, lots of
- 44:33Speaker 3: lots of roses. She was crying right when she saw
- 44:37Speaker 3: all that set up.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Congratulations to the two of them were excited and celebrating
- 44:43Speaker 2: their engagement. The final headline is this a friend of
- 44:46Speaker 2: yours and Ashley, I'll let you take this. Jade Roper
- 44:51Speaker 2: just post on Instagram recently, and I'll read the first
- 44:55Speaker 2: sentence of the post. It says, I've been struggling what
- 44:58Speaker 2: to write here as I've been navigating a miscarriage.
- 45:03Speaker 3: So Jade obviously is going through a very hard time
- 45:07Speaker 3: right now, and I'm gonna obviously let her like reveal
- 45:12Speaker 3: as many details as she'd like to in her Instagram posts.
- 45:15Speaker 3: She does say that she's kind of taking the more
- 45:19Speaker 3: natural route when it comes to letting this miscarriage just
- 45:21Speaker 3: go through her body right now. Basically, this is one
- 45:25Speaker 3: of the hardest parts on her is that, like the
- 45:28Speaker 3: baby start stopped growing a couple of weeks ago, but
- 45:33Speaker 3: she still hasn't like miscarried yet. So basically she just
- 45:36Speaker 3: has like a baby kind of just in her body
- 45:40Speaker 3: and she's just gonna let it release naturally. They were trying.
- 45:46Speaker 3: She has just been, you know, really really wanting a
- 45:49Speaker 3: fourth child. That fourth child is very much in her heart,
- 45:51Speaker 3: Like she just feels like that'll be when her family
- 45:53Speaker 3: is complete, like that number just like really like just
- 45:56Speaker 3: just just something that she just an instinctual feeling that
- 46:00Speaker 3: she just needs, you know, that she really really wants
- 46:02Speaker 3: to have a four kid. So Tanner is you know,
- 46:08Speaker 3: Tanner was willing to make his wife's wishes happen to
- 46:13Speaker 3: a certain extent. He said that they try like for
- 46:17Speaker 3: three months, and within that three months she got pregnant.
- 46:23Speaker 3: And yeah, it was a different pregnancy than her past
- 46:27Speaker 3: couple as far as like how she was feeling. And
- 46:32Speaker 3: I will kind of let her talk about everything else
- 46:35Speaker 3: she wants to talk about. But yeah, obviously she's going
- 46:38Speaker 3: through a really rough time right now.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a tough time from both We're thinking about
- 46:42Speaker 2: him here and obviously I think, yeah, the why thing
- 46:44Speaker 2: to do is to allow her to speak to this
- 46:48Speaker 2: outside of the details she showed on her social media
- 46:51Speaker 2: as much as she would like and when she's ready,
- 46:54Speaker 2: if you know, she ever wants to. But we're thinking
- 46:57Speaker 2: of Tanner and we're thinking of Jade and that family
- 47:01Speaker 2: as they go through this process. Well, ash this is it.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Those are the Mentel episode. We broke it down, covered headlines.
- 47:12Speaker 2: We'll be back next week talking about everything charity season.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Until then, I've been Ben, I've been Ashley.
- 47:20Speaker 3: Love you guys.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Follow the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcasts on
