- 0:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. At your favorite time
- 0:05Speaker 1: of week, you dawnload the crazy shit you get you
- 0:06Speaker 1: ready for some conference championships. We had Rivalry Week last week.
- 0:10Speaker 1: It was fantastic. I'm market, I'm in the podcasting studio,
- 0:14Speaker 1: Scottie Brother, How the hell are you, man?
- 0:16Speaker 2: I'm good. Rivalry Week was very good last week. Good
- 0:21Speaker 2: to see that Ryan Day will soon be in the
- 0:23Speaker 2: unemployment line.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I don't know, man, I keep seeing that they think
- 0:27Speaker 1: he's coming back, but what a weird turn of events
- 0:31Speaker 1: in that game.
- 0:32Speaker 2: I mean, well, if he's coming back and doesn't fire
- 0:34Speaker 2: Chip Kelly, he's an idiot. How you don't try to
- 0:39Speaker 2: throw the football down the field with those wide receivers
- 0:43Speaker 2: and with the injuries that Michigan had. Is literally coaching
- 0:46Speaker 2: my practice? I mean it is. I just don't understand it.
- 0:51Speaker 2: You're doing the they tried to do the only thing
- 0:53Speaker 2: that Michigan does. Well, stop the run, let's go out,
- 0:56Speaker 2: let's try to dominate the line of scrimmage. I just
- 0:59Speaker 2: don't understand it. You're at home. They were mad. I
- 1:04Speaker 2: want to know how that committee can watch that ball
- 1:07Speaker 2: game and think, you know, we only need to drop
- 1:09Speaker 2: them a couple of spots. That's a bad football team.
- 1:12Speaker 2: They lost too. It's a one dimensional football team with
- 1:16Speaker 2: no quarterback. I don't give a shit if it's a
- 1:19Speaker 2: rivalry game or not. Fast forward. Miami to me looks
- 1:24Speaker 2: like one of the top twelve teams in the country.
- 1:26Speaker 2: That was not a bad loss. On Saturday, Old miss
- 1:32Speaker 2: stopped the whining and the complaining. Man, don't lose to
- 1:34Speaker 2: Kentucky at home. You almost lost Mississippi. Stay at home.
- 1:38Speaker 2: I mean, if that team didn't suck so bad, you
- 1:40Speaker 2: would have lost because they didn't play well. They didn't
- 1:43Speaker 2: play well at all. State just sucks and that quarter,
- 1:46Speaker 2: you know, the freshman quarterback just didn't miss some really
- 1:49Speaker 2: big throws that were open that would have won that
- 1:52Speaker 2: game for State. You got to quit whining lane. You
- 1:55Speaker 2: play well against good teams, but you played poorly against
- 1:58Speaker 2: some bad teams. And that's why you're going to miss
- 2:01Speaker 2: the playoff. And if you don't like it, how about
- 2:03Speaker 2: scheduling somebody out of conference besides Sisters of the Poor.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I mean, that's that's pretty much the deal. You know,
- 2:09Speaker 2: they have one more quality win on there that's a
- 2:12Speaker 2: non conference against them, you know, against the decent team.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I know they've got Wake Forest from the ACC. Wake sucks,
- 2:19Speaker 2: you know, and at the end of the day, beat Kentucky,
- 2:23Speaker 2: you're their only conference win. That's the worst loss of
- 2:25Speaker 2: any of these teams that were remotely talking about the playoff.
- 2:29Speaker 2: To me, they're ranked where they should be. I think
- 2:31Speaker 2: Miami is not. I think they ought to be one
- 2:34Speaker 2: of the top twelve teams. It's unfortunate because I think
- 2:37Speaker 2: they're probably the best team in the ACC and they're
- 2:40Speaker 2: not going to get a chance to prove it. They
- 2:42Speaker 2: certainly are the team with the highest upside of the ACC.
- 2:46Speaker 2: What I feel like we're seeing with some of these teams,
- 2:48Speaker 2: especially the teams like Old Miss and Miami. It's the
- 2:51Speaker 2: reason I chose to pick them together that are so
- 2:54Speaker 2: portal heavy. They play great when the money's on the line,
- 2:58Speaker 2: when it's a big time game and the lights are bright,
- 3:01Speaker 2: and then they're bad. And a lot of games where
- 3:05Speaker 2: it's just to show up and play. And that's guys
- 3:09Speaker 2: that are getting paid to play. That's guys that are
- 3:12Speaker 2: concerned more about the name on the back than the
- 3:14Speaker 2: front of the jersey. And I think that's what you're
- 3:17Speaker 2: getting with some of these teams. I think you're going
- 3:19Speaker 2: to continue to see them lose some games they shouldn't
- 3:21Speaker 2: lose as we continue to progress through this. The bottom
- 3:25Speaker 2: line is the best teams are not nearly as good
- 3:27Speaker 2: as they've been. It has distributed the talent, which I
- 3:30Speaker 2: think was the goal of the transfer portal and the NIL,
- 3:37Speaker 2: and it has certainly put it on steroids. So it's
- 3:39Speaker 2: going to be really interesting to see this twelve team
- 3:43Speaker 2: playoff because it does feel like anybody could beat anybody,
- 3:46Speaker 2: But it also feels like Oregon looks like the best
- 3:48Speaker 2: team in the country to me, and it candidly doesn't
- 3:51Speaker 2: look like it's that close. I would think Georgia and
- 3:54Speaker 2: Texas can probably give them a good ball game, but
- 3:56Speaker 2: I think otherwise they're gonna win it.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Well take part to this. I like how you say
- 4:02Speaker 1: that that was the plan. I don't think there was
- 4:05Speaker 1: any plan to this at all. I think there was.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I think there was on the not only NIL at all.
- 4:11Speaker 2: I think there was on the transfer portal, but I.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Mean the portal thing. I think they they got sued
- 4:17Speaker 1: and they lost every case. CNCA has lost every single
- 4:19Speaker 1: case they've got. I don't know how they're not going
- 4:21Speaker 1: to lose the Diego Pavia case and let that kid
- 4:24Speaker 1: come back next year. And I don't even know what
- 4:25Speaker 1: its premise is, but yeah, the talent is pulled across
- 4:29Speaker 1: the entire country. And I think that's why we're sitting
- 4:31Speaker 1: here with a twelve team playoff now. And it's interesting
- 4:35Speaker 1: because you and I've done this for fifteen years or
- 4:37Speaker 1: however long, and I remember talking about it that we
- 4:40Speaker 1: said this before the show, is when would we ever
- 4:44Speaker 1: think a team that was going to come in as
- 4:45Speaker 1: the nine seed had a chance to win the Natty?
- 4:48Speaker 1: And the answer for the last decade has been no,
- 4:51Speaker 1: it's never been closed. Now does that mean I think
- 4:53Speaker 1: they can win? I don't know, but I do think
- 4:56Speaker 1: Oregon's the best team in the country.
- 4:58Speaker 2: But team can anybody on a given week.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I totally agree with you, And that's where I'm at
- 5:05Speaker 1: with this. I mean, you've got to help Georgia had
- 5:07Speaker 1: a kid that started ten games at Corner that went
- 5:10Speaker 1: in the transfer portal yesterday. Yeah, he just come out,
- 5:15Speaker 1: man bro started ten games and he literally is in
- 5:19Speaker 1: the portal, and so you've got a lot of that
- 5:21Speaker 1: going on, and so it's interesting. And then the only
- 5:24Speaker 1: other thing I took from last week and I was
- 5:27Speaker 1: watching it all go down, and I thought, man of
- 5:29Speaker 1: Scott's watching this, his head's exploding. How all the teams
- 5:34Speaker 1: that were on the road won and then they just
- 5:37Speaker 1: all went full Rick James, Charlie Murphy just out their
- 5:44Speaker 1: stamp all the day, trying to plant flags in astro turf.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Just ridiculousness. Get a hold of your programs. Learn how
- 5:52Speaker 1: to win, learn how to lose. But it made for
- 5:54Speaker 1: some good entertainment. And then lastly my USC Trojan damn
- 6:01Speaker 1: that not think I had that. How the hell do
- 6:03Speaker 1: you get about two one hundred yard pick sixes in
- 6:08Speaker 1: that game against Notre Dame. That was unbelievable. I was like,
- 6:12Speaker 1: they're gonna sneak out and they're gonna win this thing.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Notre Dame is sneaky. They are. They are one of
- 6:18Speaker 2: those teams that have got a legit. I think they
- 6:21Speaker 2: could be the surprise because they're probably going to be
- 6:25Speaker 2: the five seed. Yeah, they're probably gonna be the five
- 6:28Speaker 2: seed if they win that first game. They're gonna be
- 6:31Speaker 2: playing against maybe Boise, maybe smu Let's face it, they're
- 6:38Speaker 2: favored in both of those ball games. I mean Let's
- 6:41Speaker 2: say they play two lanes and then turn around and
- 6:44Speaker 2: play SMU. They are staring the semi finals in the face. Yes, yes,
- 6:49Speaker 2: they're playing Oregon, but I mean, good gracious man, then
- 6:55Speaker 2: you're because hey, you gotta beat the big dog at
- 6:57Speaker 2: some point. But I saw that Marcus Freeman get some
- 7:00Speaker 2: sniff from the NFL. Doesn't surprise me at all. That
- 7:04Speaker 2: guy's learning on the job, but is getting better every week.
- 7:08Speaker 2: You know, it is the only team that's got a
- 7:10Speaker 2: worse lost than Old miss A. Home to Kentucky is
- 7:14Speaker 2: Notre Dame to NIU. And I'm talking about and I'm
- 7:17Speaker 2: talking about those guys may have a chance to win
- 7:19Speaker 2: the Natty. Crazy season, I mean crazy season. I thought
- 7:24Speaker 2: two things. First, Matt Rule, make your kids shake hands. Man,
- 7:28Speaker 2: don't tell me you got control of that program.
- 7:31Speaker 1: That's the what was going on there?
- 7:33Speaker 2: I have no idea. I mean, can you win something
- 7:36Speaker 2: before you can you be worth a damn before you
- 7:40Speaker 2: start thinking I'm gonna do that. I just I'm tired
- 7:43Speaker 2: of the lack of sportsmanship. I think things like that
- 7:45Speaker 2: ought to be a fireable offense. And I think, and
- 7:48Speaker 2: I'm not saying Matt Rules should be fired but that's embarrassing.
- 7:51Speaker 2: I mean, that's just absolutely idiotic. And then you've got
- 7:56Speaker 2: the kid from Iowa doing the exact opposite, shake in
- 8:02Speaker 2: everybody's hands, going up and shaw and his dad's like,
- 8:05Speaker 2: because that's the man I taught him to be, you know,
- 8:07Speaker 2: And I'm like, you know what, that's because you are
- 8:10Speaker 2: a good dad. I mean, what what a great story
- 8:15Speaker 2: all in one game? Character class matters the team with
- 8:19Speaker 2: character in class one glad that happened bad on Matt Rule.
- 8:25Speaker 2: If I'm a Nebraska fan, I am like, what has
- 8:28Speaker 2: happened to our program? Where did Frank Solitch and those
- 8:34Speaker 2: guys go and Tom Osborne and the guys that were
- 8:37Speaker 2: quality people go to and look they I mean they
- 8:42Speaker 2: fired a guy because he said he was yelling too much.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Basically who was winning nine games a year. They ain't
- 8:49Speaker 2: won nine games since they fired him, I don't think.
- 8:51Speaker 2: And at the end of and at the end of
- 8:54Speaker 2: the day the program had some class, yeah, of course,
- 9:00Speaker 2: just I mean I think Nebraska is that was an embarrassment.
- 9:05Speaker 1: And you can't tell you Jilan Raila left.
- 9:09Speaker 2: That does not surprise me, which I will tell you
- 9:12Speaker 2: not gonna shock me. The Mississippi State's freshman quarterback hits
- 9:16Speaker 2: the portal too because A he's asking for sec starter money. Brother,
- 9:22Speaker 2: you ain't an sec starter Go put your film in.
- 9:24Speaker 2: You were miserable in that game. You missed so many throws.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I thought Jeff Levy caught a great ball game. But
- 9:29Speaker 2: that's a that's a totally sad story. I mean some
- 9:33Speaker 2: great plays, he makes, some decent throws and those are
- 9:36Speaker 2: those are multiple touchdowns. Uh. State just doesn't have any talent.
- 9:40Speaker 2: That's the bottom line. That's the old miss was significantly
- 9:43Speaker 2: the more talented football team, and that came out and
- 9:45Speaker 2: that was the bait. That was that was the end result.
- 9:48Speaker 2: But I'm not surprised. I'm not surprised to hit it.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I think you're gonna see more of these freshman guys
- 9:53Speaker 2: hit it because they think, oh, I'm the man, because
- 9:55Speaker 2: they go to a math football team and they have
- 9:57Speaker 2: a pretty good, pretty good year, and they think, oh,
- 10:00Speaker 2: I'm great, I'm ready to go. At the end of
- 10:03Speaker 2: the day, I think State's probably hoping that shape and
- 10:06Speaker 2: comes back and is the starter. That is what I
- 10:09Speaker 2: would guess, and that and that the freshman sits and
- 10:13Speaker 2: State signed a great quarterback, top ten quarterback in the
- 10:16Speaker 2: country with offers from Georgia and multiple other big time
- 10:18Speaker 2: programs yesterday, who is a superstar in the making, so candidly,
- 10:24Speaker 2: probably the odd man out be stunned. Misisippi State pays
- 10:27Speaker 2: that guy remotely what he's asking for. But I think
- 10:29Speaker 2: you're gonna see more Bill Andrela and guys like him
- 10:32Speaker 2: hitting the portal. They're gonna a year and see ten
- 10:35Speaker 2: game starters at Georgia hitting the portal because it's about
- 10:38Speaker 2: money and they've got their their daddy's cousin's brother who's
- 10:44Speaker 2: telling them I can get you more money from so
- 10:46Speaker 2: and so because I got a contact on the coaching
- 10:48Speaker 2: staff or whatever, and boom they hit the portal. I mean,
- 10:52Speaker 2: that's just you know that, It's just the nature of
- 10:54Speaker 2: college football. I don't like it, but it is, you know,
- 10:57Speaker 2: it is what it is.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Oh yeah, probably have to cover a bunch of this
- 11:01Speaker 1: stuff in the coming weeks. We've talked about doing offseason shows. Well,
- 11:04Speaker 1: maybe we can get organized and do that, but man,
- 11:07Speaker 1: here we are conference championship weekend. It's interesting because I
- 11:13Speaker 1: honestly think next year will be the last year of
- 11:15Speaker 1: a lot of these conference championships after they retool the
- 11:19Speaker 1: twelve teams playoff, I won't be surprised if we don't
- 11:21Speaker 1: end up with the sixteen team playoff and it's more
- 11:24Speaker 1: of just an at large bid system rather than four
- 11:27Speaker 1: teams getting a bye. I think it's kind of ridiculous
- 11:30Speaker 1: how that set up now that you have to win
- 11:32Speaker 1: your conference to get a buy, But that's the system
- 11:35Speaker 1: that we've got. It lets us bet on more football.
- 11:38Speaker 1: It gives us opportunity to watch more games, and frankly,
- 11:41Speaker 1: that's all I'm excited about. So here we are headed
- 11:43Speaker 1: into the conference championship weekend, and I'm excited for every
- 11:47Speaker 1: single one of these games. I really am. I think
- 11:49Speaker 1: that we've got some interesting storylines, a couple of things,
- 11:54Speaker 1: a couple of other things. We're gonna talk about UNLV.
- 11:56Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about Marshall and getting into these games.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Are these coaches looking for new jobs? I mean, there's
- 12:03Speaker 1: some big jobs open right now, and there's opportunities out
- 12:06Speaker 1: there that I'm assuming you've got to at least make
- 12:09Speaker 1: the phone. Are you not calling Barry Odom or Brennan
- 12:11Speaker 1: at UNLV? You know who's talking to hot There's a
- 12:14Speaker 1: lot of different things. Some are all at Tulane. Is
- 12:17Speaker 1: he getting phone calls for a bigger job?
- 12:19Speaker 2: Well, if he's not, people are stupid. But let me
- 12:22Speaker 2: tell you the great rumor I heard about West Virginia.
- 12:27Speaker 2: And I did hear this from a pretty large booster. Literally,
- 12:33Speaker 2: they are talking to Jimbo Fisher. He tells me this,
- 12:37Speaker 2: and I'm like, y'all are not that stupid, are you? Oh,
- 12:42Speaker 2: he's from West Virginia. I said, I don't care if
- 12:45Speaker 2: he grew up in the athletic department in Morgantown. That
- 12:49Speaker 2: dude's washed up. And they were like, well, if we
- 12:51Speaker 2: can't work it out with him, I think we're after
- 12:53Speaker 2: Barry Odam. I said, well, let me give you some good,
- 12:55Speaker 2: friendly advice. Go sign Barry Odam's ass first and pay
- 12:59Speaker 2: him some money because he knows what he's doing and
- 13:01Speaker 2: he's got a chance to go over there and win.
- 13:03Speaker 2: He's already been at two programs because look, he was
- 13:06Speaker 2: winning at Missouri and he set drinking. It's up to win.
- 13:10Speaker 2: At the end of the day. That guy's done two
- 13:12Speaker 2: hard jobs, done a good job at two jobs. Rolling
- 13:16Speaker 2: into another tough job at West Virginia would be a
- 13:19Speaker 2: really really good hire for the Mountaineers. But if they
- 13:21Speaker 2: hire jimbo Fisher, I'm going to officially start a top
- 13:28Speaker 2: ten dumbass athletic director list and just put it out there.
- 13:32Speaker 2: And I'm not positive that Ohio State and those guys
- 13:36Speaker 2: because Ross Bjork is near the top of it. He's
- 13:39Speaker 2: who signed I mean, such an idiot. But I mean
- 13:43Speaker 2: it's some huge schools and that have just complete other morons,
- 13:48Speaker 2: and this will be the dumbest tire ever. You don't
- 13:53Speaker 2: you blow up Florida State. You can't win at A
- 13:57Speaker 2: and M. But you know what Morgantown where he's gonna
- 14:01Speaker 2: get it done. I'm like, who has that thought process?
- 14:06Speaker 2: I mean, hey, I need somebody to tell me this
- 14:10Speaker 2: is the thought process. And here's why it's a good idea.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Other than he's from West.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Virginia, I agree. Now, first off, if you're West Virginia,
- 14:17Speaker 1: is the first phone call I make is I call
- 14:20Speaker 1: rich Rod and I'm like, hey, man, you want to
- 14:22Speaker 1: run it back and just finish it up here. It's like,
- 14:24Speaker 1: we got faith that you can do it. I like
- 14:26Speaker 1: Rich Rodd. Rich Rod is in the conference championship at
- 14:29Speaker 1: Jacksonville State, it's where he's at all right, and so
- 14:34Speaker 1: he knows how to do this. His offense is still ingenius.
- 14:37Speaker 1: If you hire Jimbo fisher Man, I would rather shit
- 14:41Speaker 1: in my hands and rub it in my hair that
- 14:44Speaker 1: have to watch that guy coach college football again at
- 14:46Speaker 1: a major football He's terrible.
- 14:49Speaker 2: I agree, And I don't.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Think he's that interested anyway, And so I'm sure if
- 14:54Speaker 1: they offered it to him, would he take the job. Yeah,
- 14:57Speaker 1: but be a terrible height. There's so much better. Yet,
- 15:00Speaker 1: my point was is that you've got some guys that
- 15:03Speaker 1: are coaching in the conference championship games right here that
- 15:06Speaker 1: you know, probably are getting opportunities to talk to other
- 15:09Speaker 1: coach you know, other programs. Take Andy Koliniki at Penn State,
- 15:13Speaker 1: who was the offensive coordinator of Kansas now is here
- 15:15Speaker 1: at Penn State. I'm assuming he's probably getting a call
- 15:19Speaker 1: from at least West Virginia a couple other people. And
- 15:22Speaker 1: I'm not saying he's not gonna be ready for the game.
- 15:24Speaker 1: He's still going to prepare for the game. He's he's
- 15:26Speaker 1: gonna have everything done. But if you're getting the phone call,
- 15:29Speaker 1: you've got to spend a couple of hours putting the
- 15:31Speaker 1: notebook together to say here's my game plan on how
- 15:34Speaker 1: we're going to turn this program around. That's right, and
- 15:37Speaker 1: you because because this is a this is a life
- 15:39Speaker 1: changing opportunity for these guys, and so I could just
- 15:42Speaker 1: see where maybe they're not as buttoned up as they
- 15:45Speaker 1: need to be going into the game. Now.
- 15:49Speaker 2: I mean this when I tell you if he's the
- 15:52Speaker 2: right guy for the job, he's not spending that much
- 15:55Speaker 2: time because he's had that book ready since July. He's
- 15:59Speaker 2: he he has had it ready and been building his
- 16:02Speaker 2: entire career. Man the story about Dan Mullen meeting with
- 16:05Speaker 2: Scott Strickland and Greg Burn and how prepared he was.
- 16:09Speaker 2: He blew their socks off in the interview and it
- 16:13Speaker 2: was like, we have to hire this guy. When you're
- 16:16Speaker 2: hiring the right guy, that's then really the way it's
- 16:19Speaker 2: gonna be. You're gonna know I got the right dude,
- 16:22Speaker 2: you know, And it is so I think I think
- 16:26Speaker 2: it probably is not that much of effect. Dan obviously
- 16:29Speaker 2: went on they won the SEC championship, They went on
- 16:31Speaker 2: and won the National championship, and he was involved in
- 16:34Speaker 2: that all of those games as an assistant coach. Urban
- 16:38Speaker 2: let him still call plays in the national title against Oklahoma.
- 16:41Speaker 2: So it was a big you know, so it's a
- 16:43Speaker 2: big deal. I think good I think really good candidates
- 16:45Speaker 2: can slide right in and do both. They've got that book,
- 16:48Speaker 2: They've got that book ready. I think. I do think
- 16:53Speaker 2: Barry odom is probably on a lot of radars. I
- 16:56Speaker 2: think John Sumraw is. If he is not, then people
- 16:58Speaker 2: are stupid. North Carolina to me, is the most intriguing
- 17:04Speaker 2: job because the fan base doesn't care about football. They
- 17:08Speaker 2: care more about basketball. Candidately, they're probably already in the
- 17:11Speaker 2: SEC if football was a priority to them. It's not
- 17:14Speaker 2: basketball is So who do they hire and what do
- 17:18Speaker 2: they want and a head football coach. They got a
- 17:21Speaker 2: collection of people that want to win in football, But
- 17:24Speaker 2: how much do they want to win? I mean, their
- 17:26Speaker 2: nil is that small. And I understand the universities, you've
- 17:29Speaker 2: got to start paying now, but man, there's a lot
- 17:33Speaker 2: of things that the window at state that they can
- 17:36Speaker 2: pay is different to what they're guaranteeing to pay. A
- 17:39Speaker 2: lot of that depends on players you can get and
- 17:42Speaker 2: players you got to keep, and are where they're going
- 17:45Speaker 2: to spend money on basketball? And if you watch Misispi
- 17:48Speaker 2: State's basketball team gas can pit last night, and you're like,
- 17:51Speaker 2: they probably got some guys they're gonna have to keep
- 17:52Speaker 2: paying or are going to have to get pay raises to.
- 17:55Speaker 1: You know.
- 17:55Speaker 2: So there's a lot of flux in what's available in
- 17:59Speaker 2: these in the money pile for these guys. And it
- 18:03Speaker 2: is fascinating to me to see what happens with North
- 18:06Speaker 2: Carolina because you talk about a sleeping giant. That is
- 18:10Speaker 2: a job that if the right guy comes in and
- 18:13Speaker 2: they support it can be a great job. Because they're
- 18:17Speaker 2: playing in the ACC. It's worth a plane. And I mean, man,
- 18:22Speaker 2: you're talking about they're going to be playing Wake and
- 18:25Speaker 2: NC State and those schools a lot. Man, that's a
- 18:28Speaker 2: job you could win and win big. And I just
- 18:32Speaker 2: I think they probably have a much better list than
- 18:35Speaker 2: that program deserves.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I can get down with that. You know, you
- 18:40Speaker 1: got another head coach resigned this week to take the
- 18:43Speaker 1: offensive coordinator's position. The gust bus will be driving across
- 18:47Speaker 1: the state from Orlando to Tallahassee as he resigns from
- 18:51Speaker 1: that UCF position to take the Florida State job, which
- 18:55Speaker 1: leads me to believe if the Florida State guys were like, Hey,
- 18:59Speaker 1: last season was great, but it was last season. This
- 19:02Speaker 1: season was embarrassing. It's like you've gotta reboot and start over.
- 19:07Speaker 1: The same thing happened in Oklahoma State. Mike Dundy pretty
- 19:10Speaker 1: much cleaned house on the leadership of both the offensive
- 19:13Speaker 1: and the defensive side for that football team, and that
- 19:16Speaker 1: offensive coordinator had been with them for a while. And
- 19:19Speaker 1: so it's where we're at. Man, But I'm excited Scottie's
- 19:23Speaker 1: we can talk about that as we get into the
- 19:24Speaker 1: next couple of weeks. Let's dive in. We got conference
- 19:27Speaker 1: championship games on Friday, we got conference championship games on Saturday.
- 19:31Speaker 1: We're gonna go through all of them. I might even
- 19:33Speaker 1: throw some FCS action at you if you're not too
- 19:35Speaker 1: excited about it. Let's start it out there in the KUSA, Baby,
- 19:40Speaker 1: Western Kentucky Jacksonville State. These two teams will be matching
- 19:43Speaker 1: up after they just played each other last weekend and
- 19:46Speaker 1: Western Kentucky won. The game line opened up Jacksonville State
- 19:50Speaker 1: minus fords creeped all the way up to minus five over.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Under opened up at fifty eight and a half. It's
- 19:54Speaker 1: now down to fifty seven and a half. Both of
- 19:57Speaker 1: these teams are eight and four as they come in
- 20:00Speaker 1: Western Kentucky seven and five against the number, Jacksonville State
- 20:03Speaker 1: six and six against the number.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Uh.
- 20:06Speaker 1: The only place I have a lead to on this
- 20:08Speaker 1: was I lean on the I lean on the under
- 20:09Speaker 1: of this. And the quarterback for Jacksonville State, Huff has
- 20:13Speaker 1: a high ankle. Spring didn't play last week. I don't
- 20:17Speaker 1: think he's gonna play this week. Smothers, the backup quarterback
- 20:21Speaker 1: for them, is not as nearly as dynamic in rich
- 20:24Speaker 1: Rode's system. I think rich Royd's is smart enough coach that,
- 20:27Speaker 1: knowing that he doesn't have Huff, if he's not gonna
- 20:30Speaker 1: play stay long watch on Twitter. I think he will
- 20:34Speaker 1: build an, you know, a system to protect that team
- 20:36Speaker 1: and give them the best opportunity to win this conference championship. So,
- 20:41Speaker 1: if you're asking me where to go in this one,
- 20:42Speaker 1: I lean Jacksonville State fifty seven and a half on
- 20:45Speaker 1: the under. Is where I am at on our first
- 20:48Speaker 1: conference championship game?
- 20:49Speaker 2: Well, I think, Barry, I don't think there is really
- 20:53Speaker 2: any question and I mean this that this game is
- 20:56Speaker 2: gonna be hard fault. After playing back to back weeks,
- 20:58Speaker 2: both of those teams. You know, Western Kentucky won this game.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Now is an underdog, and I think that is because
- 21:06Speaker 2: of Jacksonville State probably holding back a little bit for
- 21:11Speaker 2: lack of a better term. But Western k Turkey probably
- 21:14Speaker 2: very likely was doing the same thing. Because Jacksonville State
- 21:17Speaker 2: was in win or lose, Western Kentucky had to win,
- 21:20Speaker 2: so it was a significantly more important game for Western Kentucky.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Now you got both teams are gonna go at. It
- 21:27Speaker 2: does feel like an under is probably to play here
- 21:30Speaker 2: with a backup quarterback. Four and a half may be
- 21:33Speaker 2: a touch much as well. Uh but man, I just
- 21:36Speaker 2: think Jacksonville State is the better team in this ball game.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Uh So it feels like if I'm gonna bet on it,
- 21:42Speaker 2: I would probably bet Jacksonville State. But I can ride
- 21:44Speaker 2: with you on the under. At fifty seven and a half.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Here we go, bro, I may get me a little
- 21:49Speaker 1: first half under. Scott hadn't played, had.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Played many of those.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Yeah, but I think any game I'm gonna play on
- 21:56Speaker 1: the first half under, I'm gonna probably get there to
- 21:59Speaker 1: second game we got whooh, it's gonna be cold. You've
- 22:03Speaker 1: got a location change and this one, this game was
- 22:06Speaker 1: all set to be played in New Orleans. Last week,
- 22:09Speaker 1: two Lane lost the game. They just laid a complete
- 22:12Speaker 1: egg against Memphis. Now they have to travel up to
- 22:15Speaker 1: the Hudson River and play Army two lanes nine and
- 22:19Speaker 1: three straight up and against the spread. Army's ten and
- 22:22Speaker 1: one straight up, seven and four against the spread line
- 22:25Speaker 1: opened up two lane minus four. Now it's up to
- 22:27Speaker 1: minus five over unders at forty seven and a half
- 22:30Speaker 1: down to forty five and a half. You're looking at temperatures,
- 22:33Speaker 1: it's gonna be in the twenties when this game kicks off.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I've got a two lane future ticket in this one
- 22:39Speaker 1: that I'm probably just gonna ride. I might put a
- 22:42Speaker 1: small hedge in place on this Army money line, because
- 22:45Speaker 1: you're looking at an Army money line of plus one
- 22:47Speaker 1: seventy five here, so you can get some buyback to
- 22:49Speaker 1: at least secure profit. But if you're looking at who's
- 22:52Speaker 1: gonna win this game, it's interesting matchup. To me, I
- 22:55Speaker 1: leaned to Lane to win and cover the game, but
- 22:58Speaker 1: I think it definitely could get under again. I know
- 23:01Speaker 1: it's a small total and under and forty five. But
- 23:03Speaker 1: John Summerol's played He's played Army twice. He played. Excuse me,
- 23:08Speaker 1: he's played the academies three times, twice at Troy last year,
- 23:12Speaker 1: and then he's got a team this year when he
- 23:15Speaker 1: played Navy when they had a backup quarterback because the
- 23:17Speaker 1: quarterback was hurt, and he matches up in this Army game.
- 23:20Speaker 1: That you've got from this spot is I don't think
- 23:23Speaker 1: that the scheme of what Army is gonna put out
- 23:26Speaker 1: is gonna be something they're gonna have to have been
- 23:27Speaker 1: a game plan for. I think they'll be very prepared
- 23:29Speaker 1: from the defensive side. I also think they've got some
- 23:32Speaker 1: bounce back after being embarrassed last week. This team is still,
- 23:36Speaker 1: in my opinion, probably the best group of five teams.
- 23:39Speaker 1: But any chance they had to make the playoff, I
- 23:40Speaker 1: think they completely laid an egg last week. But two
- 23:43Speaker 1: lane cover in five could be tough. And the reason
- 23:46Speaker 1: I say that is because you only get so many
- 23:47Speaker 1: possessions when you play Army. I mean, if you watch
- 23:50Speaker 1: these guys, and I've watched him probably eight to ten
- 23:53Speaker 1: times this season, is you're only gonna get maybe eight
- 23:56Speaker 1: possessions in an Army game, seven or eight possessions in
- 23:59Speaker 1: an Army game, and it's hard to stretch out distance,
- 24:02Speaker 1: because you've got to get some stops because even if
- 24:03Speaker 1: those guys give let's say two to three first downs,
- 24:07Speaker 1: because I don't think they're gonna be able to throw
- 24:08Speaker 1: the ball very well. But if they get two to
- 24:10Speaker 1: three first downs, they're going to chew up six minutes
- 24:13Speaker 1: for the clock. And so unless you've got some quick strikes,
- 24:16Speaker 1: you're just not going to get a whole lot of
- 24:17Speaker 1: possessions in this game. Lead under again for me too.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Lane on the money line, nothing there on the spread
- 24:24Speaker 1: for me.
- 24:25Speaker 2: I like the spread, in fact so much I'm on
- 24:28Speaker 2: it at Army plus six. I think that this game
- 24:32Speaker 2: is going to be hard fault Fifty seven and a
- 24:34Speaker 2: half does seem like a big number, so can easily
- 24:37Speaker 2: for I'm sorry I brought fifty seven and a half
- 24:40Speaker 2: on Jacksonville State, but I think at the end of
- 24:43Speaker 2: the day, Army is going to be a really tough
- 24:48Speaker 2: out at home in the cold weather. For the boys
- 24:51Speaker 2: from New Orleans. That's a big loss and not being
- 24:54Speaker 2: able to play at home. I'm looking for a little
- 24:56Speaker 2: chaos on Championship Saturday. From the group of five, I
- 25:01Speaker 2: actually like Army and got a little bit of love
- 25:04Speaker 2: for our next game, UNLV, I think I may take
- 25:07Speaker 2: me a little underdog parlay, get me some get me
- 25:10Speaker 2: some upsets, and then UNLV Army, which it looks like
- 25:13Speaker 2: UNLV based on the rankings, would be the team that
- 25:16Speaker 2: got in. But my goodness, would we have some nice chaos.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Sprinkle a little bit of money on that just for
- 25:22Speaker 2: the fun of the next podcast of how much chaos
- 25:26Speaker 2: that would?
- 25:27Speaker 1: UNLV will be traveling up to Boise State to play
- 25:31Speaker 1: a rematch on the smurf Turf. Weather looks like it's
- 25:34Speaker 1: gonna be okay, but game time temperature is probably gonna
- 25:37Speaker 1: be in the high twenties. UNLV comes in ten and two,
- 25:41Speaker 1: seven and five against the number. What a hell of
- 25:43Speaker 1: a job Brennan and Barry Odom have done are at UNLV.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Goodness gracious they've done such wonder four. Boise State is
- 25:51Speaker 1: laying four in this one over unders at fifty seven
- 25:55Speaker 1: and a half. You know, if you look at this
- 25:57Speaker 1: game early on, I'll give you my reading, some of
- 25:59Speaker 1: which you got because I know your boy, Ashton Gentz
- 26:02Speaker 1: down the street from your house is your you know
- 26:05Speaker 1: love on that kid. He has three hundred and eleven carries.
- 26:09Speaker 1: There are I had to go look this up. There
- 26:11Speaker 1: are only fifteen running backs in the entire country that
- 26:15Speaker 1: have more than two hundred carries, and he has three
- 26:18Speaker 1: hundred and eleven. That's how many more he's got than
- 26:21Speaker 1: anybody else and averaging seventy yards to carry while he's
- 26:23Speaker 1: at it. Unbelievable. Kids. I mean, look, I know you're
- 26:28Speaker 1: not supposed to send your Heisman balance in before this weekend,
- 26:31Speaker 1: but if and I don't have one, but man, you
- 26:34Speaker 1: at least have to watch this game and let and
- 26:36Speaker 1: let this kid cook because he could go for three
- 26:38Speaker 1: hundred in this one. But that being said, one of
- 26:41Speaker 1: his worst production games he's had all season was when
- 26:44Speaker 1: he played Boise State last time and elitied stadium there
- 26:48Speaker 1: in Las Vegas. And the other thing you saw is
- 26:50Speaker 1: that un LV was pretty explosive on the offense. They
- 26:52Speaker 1: actually out game Boise State. This one a couple of
- 26:55Speaker 1: breakdowns you're gonna get. Boise States allowed five different mobile
- 26:58Speaker 1: quarterbacks to run for over fifty yards. Hodjmaleik Willison. This
- 27:02Speaker 1: one is gonna fit that profile. He did it last time.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I think he'll do it again this time. He's also
- 27:07Speaker 1: got a lot more games under his belt. When they
- 27:08Speaker 1: played last time. That was his third game starting, and
- 27:11Speaker 1: that was his third game starting D one Because remember
- 27:14Speaker 1: this kid was playing quarterback at Campbell, the Campbell Fighting
- 27:17Speaker 1: Campbell's man. He's twenty five years old. He's the quarterback
- 27:20Speaker 1: of UNLV. He took over after Matthew Seluca. Quick the
- 27:23Speaker 1: team comes in here, but the one thing you've got,
- 27:26Speaker 1: the UNL deep offensive line can get a little porous
- 27:29Speaker 1: on passing downs. They've given up a lot more sacks
- 27:31Speaker 1: than you probably would imagine, but their defense is tough,
- 27:34Speaker 1: really tough. And so again I would lean to an
- 27:37Speaker 1: underplay in this one. I'd lean into the underdog. Give
- 27:40Speaker 1: me the rebel roller, Baby, let's get this thing going.
- 27:44Speaker 1: I'm excited.
- 27:45Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you I hope Bois he wins. From
- 27:47Speaker 2: a standpoint of a. If Jenz's got any chance at
- 27:50Speaker 2: the Heisman, he's got to get in the playoffs. So
- 27:53Speaker 2: I am clearly for Boise. Let me make my case
- 27:57Speaker 2: for Travis Hunner that because I think you also know
- 27:59Speaker 2: that I'm a huge Travis hunter fan. I think he's good.
- 28:02Speaker 2: But if they truly got two Heisman candidates, how the
- 28:06Speaker 2: hell aren't they in the playoff conversation. I'll tell you why,
- 28:10Speaker 2: because a lot of those stats are coming against bad
- 28:12Speaker 2: football teams and against and in garbage time. His touchdowns
- 28:16Speaker 2: last week were a total joke. They're gas canon, somebody
- 28:19Speaker 2: who had quit and given up and which was the
- 28:22Speaker 2: easiest money by the way of last week. But you
- 28:25Speaker 2: could tell Gundian and they had no desire to be there.
- 28:28Speaker 2: But I just that's the reason I wouldn't vote for
- 28:30Speaker 2: Travis Hunter. I think dynamic player. I think he's a
- 28:33Speaker 2: good kid. It's nothing, you know. I know there's people
- 28:35Speaker 2: that hate on Prime and hate on I don't dislike
- 28:38Speaker 2: any of those kids. I don't like that the kids
- 28:40Speaker 2: got some swagger. I think he's a stud. I think
- 28:42Speaker 2: he's gonna make a bunch of money in the NFL.
- 28:45Speaker 2: But at the end of the day, I just I
- 28:48Speaker 2: you know, that's not where I spend my Heisman vote.
- 28:51Speaker 2: So I this is gonna sound nuts. If I didn't
- 28:53Speaker 2: give it to gent, I'd probably get the Dylan Gabriel
- 28:56Speaker 2: provided he wins this weekend. So anyway, that's my stance
- 28:59Speaker 2: on that. Love Boys. You hope they win, But I
- 29:03Speaker 2: like the running ReBs. I think this is too many
- 29:04Speaker 2: points thinks it's gonna be a barn burner close game,
- 29:07Speaker 2: can see a little chaos. I agree with you. I
- 29:09Speaker 2: think it's gonna be a dogfight. I think that defense
- 29:12Speaker 2: is gonna be able to slow genty down so it's
- 29:14Speaker 2: not gonna get those big explosive runs and plays. So
- 29:18Speaker 2: I think this probably is low scoring as well. But
- 29:20Speaker 2: I am I gonna give me a little underdog parlay,
- 29:22Speaker 2: little chaos for the playoff, Give me army, give me
- 29:26Speaker 2: UNLV as the underdogs on the money line.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Oh get me excited here, Scotty. Let's travel to your
- 29:33Speaker 1: neck of the woods right there in Middle America. Brother,
- 29:36Speaker 1: Why would you not take two teams from the same
- 29:39Speaker 1: state in Ohio and then make them drive up to
- 29:42Speaker 1: Michigan to play their championship game. The only thing about
- 29:46Speaker 1: the MAC Championship that kisses me off is that it's
- 29:48Speaker 1: not on a Tuesday and we're not playing at the
- 29:50Speaker 1: snow because they actually get to play this with a
- 29:52Speaker 1: dome at four Field. Would have been awesome to go
- 29:55Speaker 1: to this game because we could have gone to the
- 29:57Speaker 1: Thursday night game too. But anyway, Ohio comes here nine
- 30:01Speaker 1: to three, eight and four against the spread lines two
- 30:04Speaker 1: and a half to Miami of Ohio over under. Sitting
- 30:07Speaker 1: at forty four, Miami Ohio comes in eight and four,
- 30:09Speaker 1: six and six against the number. I'll throw this on
- 30:11Speaker 1: up to you, but, man, this is so interesting. This
- 30:13Speaker 1: is an Ohio team who last year you and I
- 30:16Speaker 1: personally thought had the best chance to win the MAC
- 30:19Speaker 1: that we've seen in forever. This team hasn't won a
- 30:21Speaker 1: conference championships since nineteen sixty eight. They have played for
- 30:25Speaker 1: it so many times. They've had you know, Solis there,
- 30:27Speaker 1: Tim Albns, We've got a mutual friend who's friends with them.
- 30:31Speaker 1: You up the sideline passes, you know, can watch practice
- 30:33Speaker 1: of the game is awesome. And then you've got Miami
- 30:36Speaker 1: of Ohio coming through in this game. Here interesting spot
- 30:40Speaker 1: for you, brother, if you can handicap the MAC. You
- 30:45Speaker 1: got a crystal ball that's clearer than mine. How's this
- 30:48Speaker 1: going to roll out Saturday morning?
- 30:49Speaker 2: What's a rematch from earlier in the season. And if
- 30:52Speaker 2: you go back and you look at the statistics, Man,
- 30:56Speaker 2: Ohio averaged more yards for play. I believe that rushed
- 31:00Speaker 2: for more through for less. But at the end of
- 31:03Speaker 2: the day, it was two huge turnovers in that ball
- 31:06Speaker 2: game that was the difference in I think the final
- 31:08Speaker 2: was thirty to twenty. So I think what you're gonna
- 31:12Speaker 2: get is a very very hard fought game. This was
- 31:16Speaker 2: a you knew this was a huge game in the MAC.
- 31:20Speaker 2: This number is dropping like a rock, down to one
- 31:24Speaker 2: and a half. It was at two and a half
- 31:26Speaker 2: earlier in the week. I think this is gonna be
- 31:29Speaker 2: a barn burner. I'm just gonna go ahead and tell
- 31:31Speaker 2: you straight up, I'm cheering for Ohio. I want them
- 31:34Speaker 2: to win. I want to get that monkey off their back.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I think Tim Alban is doing a really good job
- 31:40Speaker 2: at Ohio in a really, really tough environment, bouncing back
- 31:44Speaker 2: with Remember he lost Curtis Roorke. I mean, think about
- 31:47Speaker 2: what that team looks like with him. I mean, I
- 31:49Speaker 2: know at the end of the day, and look, they
- 31:51Speaker 2: lost their best pass rusher to Purdue. You think about
- 31:53Speaker 2: what this team looks like with those guys, and yet
- 31:57Speaker 2: here we are with them, and then in the matchampionship.
- 32:01Speaker 2: You gotta cheer for him. You gotta hope, you gotta
- 32:03Speaker 2: hope they win. At the bottom line is that Miami
- 32:05Speaker 2: may be a little bit better team. You know. I like,
- 32:08Speaker 2: uh the transfer quarterback about to whatever. I always get
- 32:13Speaker 2: his name wrong about a whatever that transferred from Missouri
- 32:16Speaker 2: into Miami of oh Yeah, I always say it wrong.
- 32:19Speaker 2: But anyway, the uh uh is a really really yeah.
- 32:24Speaker 2: He's the first kid. Last week was the first interception
- 32:27Speaker 2: he's thrown, and like, I mean, there's a ton's like
- 32:29Speaker 2: two hundred and fifty passes or something. So he's protected
- 32:32Speaker 2: the football really really well for this offense, and they
- 32:35Speaker 2: played pretty good defense at Miami. I just think they
- 32:38Speaker 2: may be a little bit better football team. They have
- 32:40Speaker 2: looked like the best team in the MAC all year,
- 32:43Speaker 2: and I don't think that ends Saturday, even though I
- 32:46Speaker 2: hope I'm wrong. I will not bet on this game,
- 32:48Speaker 2: but if I did, I would I would bet on Miami.
- 32:51Speaker 1: I'm playing Miami in this game. I haven't decided if
- 32:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna lay, probably lay the two as opposed to
- 32:57Speaker 1: lay in the money line, because you're still laying the
- 32:59Speaker 1: money line at Miami. Ohio minas one thirty on that two,
- 33:01Speaker 1: which tells you they're getting some pushback on that number
- 33:04Speaker 1: that's there. But I like Miami of Ohio in this game.
- 33:07Speaker 1: The Ohio score, the thirty to twenty was a little
- 33:10Speaker 1: less indicative Ohio scored a touchdown with six seconds left.
- 33:13Speaker 2: That's right. They were getting drilled, that's right.
- 33:15Speaker 1: And they were. And again those turnovers were big. But
- 33:18Speaker 1: I've watched this Miami of Ohio team this year. I
- 33:21Speaker 1: like their defense a lot. They took they they're buttoned
- 33:23Speaker 1: up in that spot, and I think Ohio's outkicked their
- 33:26Speaker 1: coverage excuse me, all season long. But again, handicapping the Mac,
- 33:32Speaker 1: especially this season has been tough. It's been tough, and
- 33:35Speaker 1: so I'm gonna lean Ohio and haven't made a play. Yep,
- 33:38Speaker 1: That's where I'm probably gonna go. Next one was gutty.
- 33:41Speaker 1: We got eleven o'clock's lot. Iowa State, Arizona State. Two teams.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Iowa State maybe, but I don't think some of Arizona
- 33:48Speaker 1: State for sure. Was anybody predicting them to be in
- 33:51Speaker 1: this spot when the season started. Both of these teams
- 33:54Speaker 1: come in here ten and two. I was State seven
- 33:56Speaker 1: to five against the number Arizona State. I'm in and
- 33:59Speaker 1: two against the number Arizona State. Line opened up at
- 34:01Speaker 1: minus two and a half. It's not on a two.
- 34:04Speaker 1: We've seen the total go from forty or fifty and
- 34:06Speaker 1: a half down to forty nine and a half. It's
- 34:07Speaker 1: pretty flat across the board if you're looking at that number. Now,
- 34:11Speaker 1: you've got a big injury from Arizona State. They lost
- 34:13Speaker 1: their wide receiver Johnstone that's had over one thousand yard receiving.
- 34:17Speaker 1: But we all know that that team revolves around physical
- 34:20Speaker 1: running game from Camps Kataboo. If you look at Iowa
- 34:23Speaker 1: State's defense, it's kind of a perfect matchup for Arizona
- 34:27Speaker 1: State in this one because they're not great at downfield tackling.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Their defense is struggled against teams that can run the
- 34:34Speaker 1: ball physically, and it's just a matter of what rock
- 34:37Speaker 1: O bect are you gonna get from this Iowa State team.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I mean, if there's any coach Matt Campbell, goodness gracious,
- 34:42Speaker 1: I mean, that's a guy I could see him winning
- 34:44Speaker 1: this game and actually getting a bigger job if he
- 34:48Speaker 1: wanted it. I don't know. I mean, he's been at
- 34:49Speaker 1: Iowa State forever. We've talked about the fact that maybe
- 34:53Speaker 1: the shines off his penny a little bit because he's
- 34:55Speaker 1: stuck around too long, but he's done a hell of
- 34:57Speaker 1: a job with Iowa State over the years. Get him
- 34:59Speaker 1: a chance to win the first Big Twelve championship, Arizona
- 35:02Speaker 1: State coming into the conference with a chance to win
- 35:04Speaker 1: it their first year. What a turnaround story this would be.
- 35:08Speaker 1: I lean Arizona State, and that's when I haven't played
- 35:10Speaker 1: it yet though.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Man, I'm riding Arizona State. I've been riding these guys
- 35:15Speaker 2: a ton this year. Everybody that's listened to me knows
- 35:18Speaker 2: I love Camp's Kataboo. Love that dude.
- 35:21Speaker 1: He is so much fun at against the spread.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Dillingham has done a phenomenal job. And if you are
- 35:30Speaker 2: this is a guy that grew up going as a
- 35:33Speaker 2: kid to Arizona State games. This is a dream scenario.
- 35:38Speaker 2: If you're an Arizona State fan. You got a coach
- 35:41Speaker 2: who loves the program. This is his dream job. This
- 35:44Speaker 2: is the dream when he gets This is the job
- 35:46Speaker 2: he wanted when he got into coaching. I mean, we
- 35:48Speaker 2: all want to coach the place where we grew up loving.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Let's just say like, say it like it is. And
- 35:54Speaker 2: here the guy is doing it in his thirties. I mean,
- 35:58Speaker 2: he's a young dude, and you have got to be
- 36:01Speaker 2: fired up if you're Arizona State with the switch first
- 36:05Speaker 2: year in the Big Twelve, chance to win it. I've
- 36:07Speaker 2: ridden this team all year, Gonna keep riding them. Teams
- 36:10Speaker 2: that run the football and win at the line of scrimmage.
- 36:13Speaker 2: And that is the thing that's made Arizona State different
- 36:16Speaker 2: this year is they've done a really They've done a
- 36:18Speaker 2: nice job on the defensive side of the football with
- 36:21Speaker 2: their front four, and they've done a really, really good
- 36:23Speaker 2: job controlling with that offensive line at Camp's kataboo running
- 36:26Speaker 2: the football. I think they do it again. I think
- 36:29Speaker 2: they win. Love Matt Campbell. He's obviously a great story.
- 36:34Speaker 2: And I still think Ohio State's idiots to not not
- 36:38Speaker 2: fire day and go get him. But that's just me
- 36:41Speaker 2: because they is not one of the big game. But
- 36:44Speaker 2: the bottom line is the I like Arizona State, and
- 36:47Speaker 2: I'm all right up here, Oh here we go.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Get the going down. We got to play in Arizona State.
- 36:54Speaker 1: I've got a little Miami tried it now, next game,
- 36:58Speaker 1: Scottie as He's championship. I love. This is so funny
- 37:03Speaker 1: to me that the SEC is not the most exciting
- 37:06Speaker 1: championship this year, although I think it's gonna be a
- 37:08Speaker 1: great game. But they still pulled an SEC and carved
- 37:11Speaker 1: themselves into the only game in the three o'clock flight.
- 37:14Speaker 1: There's nothing else to watch. Every other spot, every other
- 37:17Speaker 1: conference has to battle the other game. So here we go,
- 37:20Speaker 1: Georgia Texas. A couple things. If you're a Texas fan
- 37:23Speaker 1: and you're listening heads up to this game, get your
- 37:25Speaker 1: tailgate on because unless you've got those special tickets that
- 37:28Speaker 1: get you underneath the stadium, ain't no boo served in
- 37:32Speaker 1: this game, brother, because when Georgia's there, they close all
- 37:35Speaker 1: the beer taps up. Learned that the LSU game a
- 37:37Speaker 1: couple of years ago, because Georgia does not sell booz
- 37:40Speaker 1: only school in the SEC that does not sell booze
- 37:42Speaker 1: inside the stadium for Georgia games. I guess if people
- 37:45Speaker 1: are unruly enough that they don't want to get a
- 37:47Speaker 1: more drunk when they're sitting there. But anyway, Texas coming
- 37:49Speaker 1: in here laying three is where this was sitting at
- 37:52Speaker 1: over unders at forty nine and a half. George's ten
- 37:55Speaker 1: and two against the number and a whopping three and
- 37:58Speaker 1: nine against the Texas is eleven and one and seven
- 38:02Speaker 1: and five straight up. Both of these teams come in
- 38:05Speaker 1: after hard fought games. Georgia rolling that thing out. Never
- 38:09Speaker 1: had the lead against Georgia Tech until they finally won
- 38:11Speaker 1: the game. In that rivalry game, I think that would
- 38:14Speaker 1: kind of snuck up on him a little bit. It
- 38:16Speaker 1: is my personal opinion. Texas coming up of that game
- 38:19Speaker 1: where they played Texas A and M in College Station,
- 38:22Speaker 1: what a great environment that was. Sark saw all the
- 38:25Speaker 1: ridiculousness of those players celebrating on the other field, everybody's
- 38:29Speaker 1: field all day, and he literally told the kids get
- 38:31Speaker 1: the hell off the field. We're not doing this bullshit
- 38:33Speaker 1: and go off on that. But this is an interesting
- 38:38Speaker 1: spot we come into this one. Quinn Ewers, to me,
- 38:41Speaker 1: has been a great college football game manager. But he's
- 38:45Speaker 1: won some big games, is what you can say here.
- 38:48Speaker 1: He's obviously heard. They had him all taped up in
- 38:50Speaker 1: this last game. Banks, the left tackle for Texas, actually
- 38:54Speaker 1: was injured in the A and M game, same high
- 38:56Speaker 1: ankle spray practice reports lead you to believe that he's
- 39:00Speaker 1: gonna be okay. I don't know that that's the case.
- 39:03Speaker 1: I don't know that Texas can win this game without
- 39:07Speaker 1: us seeing some arch manning. I don't know if when
- 39:09Speaker 1: Years can get it done. Georgia. You've seen all kinds
- 39:12Speaker 1: of stuff from Georgia. You've got Carson Beck can look great.
- 39:16Speaker 1: You've got Carson Beck can look like shit. Sometimes he
- 39:20Speaker 1: can figure out that he's got an NFL tight end.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Sometimes he's invisible out there. And so I don't really
- 39:26Speaker 1: know what to think. And of the fact that this
- 39:28Speaker 1: is an interesting spot that both of these teams come in.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Both of these teams are gonna win or lose, will
- 39:33Speaker 1: be in the college football playoff next week. The only
- 39:35Speaker 1: thing that they're really playing for in this game is
- 39:37Speaker 1: do you get a buy? And that's it. I mean, yeah,
- 39:41Speaker 1: you're gonna win the SEC, but does that really matter
- 39:43Speaker 1: at this point? But you're gonna get a buy? I
- 39:46Speaker 1: have no play on this. I lean under in this game.
- 39:50Speaker 1: At forty nine and a half. I can't see either
- 39:52Speaker 1: one of these teams being able to stretch out in
- 39:54Speaker 1: huge margin. I think defense will dominate for both of
- 39:58Speaker 1: these squads. But that's my person.
- 40:01Speaker 2: But Georgia punched that Texas offensive line in the mouth
- 40:06Speaker 2: so hard in Austin. I am going to be stunned
- 40:12Speaker 2: if they don't. I just good players, good athletes, when
- 40:17Speaker 2: they get embarrassed general generally respond and that's what I
- 40:22Speaker 2: expect to happen Saturday night. I do expect that Texas
- 40:25Speaker 2: offensive line to respond. Look, you got it. Georgia's looked
- 40:29Speaker 2: awful in some games. They looked awful against Old miss
- 40:31Speaker 2: As worst game they played all year. They looked awful
- 40:34Speaker 2: in the first half against Tech. They looked awful in
- 40:36Speaker 2: the first half against Alabama. But then when they can
- 40:40Speaker 2: turn when they turn it on, they can turn it on.
- 40:42Speaker 2: So it is hard to say. Hard to say that
- 40:49Speaker 2: you that Georgia isn't gonna find a way to get
- 40:51Speaker 2: it done, basically at home. But I just feel like
- 40:54Speaker 2: Texas sorry to be the good team twice. I am
- 40:57Speaker 2: probably going to sit this game out because I think
- 41:02Speaker 2: it's hard to bet against Georgia in the Georgia Dome.
- 41:05Speaker 2: But man, it feels like Texas is gonna win this
- 41:06Speaker 2: ball game, and and a hard fought win to bounce forward.
- 41:11Speaker 2: They looked really, really good. Couldn't punch it in a
- 41:13Speaker 2: couple of times because some turnovers against A and M,
- 41:17Speaker 2: but they looked really good on the road at College Station.
- 41:21Speaker 2: I think I think Texas gets it done, but I'm not.
- 41:24Speaker 2: It's hard to beat Georgia, so I think I'm gonna
- 41:26Speaker 2: walk from this ball game. Under probably a good play though,
- 41:30Speaker 2: but man, that Georgia defense could just not show up.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Sometimes they could just not show up. So I'm I
- 41:37Speaker 2: think I'm to have no action in this game and
- 41:39Speaker 2: be a be a passer by just kind of watch
- 41:42Speaker 2: and enjoy this ball game.
- 41:44Speaker 1: I am. I'm kind of with you on this one.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I don't have a play this one. I lean to
- 41:49Speaker 1: the under that do not have a play in this one.
- 41:51Speaker 1: We'll see where this is gonna go. I'm kind of
- 41:53Speaker 1: fascinated to see what you're gonna get. I don't think
- 41:55Speaker 1: Texas can win this game without arch manning. I don't
- 41:59Speaker 1: think that they could have won the last game without
- 42:01Speaker 1: arch man and making that big play obviously that touchdown run.
- 42:03Speaker 1: So it's gonna issue and see we're gonna go on
- 42:05Speaker 1: this one. But I I kind of get the feeling
- 42:08Speaker 1: that George is gonna kind of pump their chest out
- 42:10Speaker 1: and be like, hey man, we've been here, we know
- 42:12Speaker 1: what we're doing. Let's take care of business. It's gonna
- 42:15Speaker 1: be a home game environment for those guys. So that's
- 42:18Speaker 1: where I lean on that one. My play a little
- 42:19Speaker 1: first half under. Next game, Scottie, let's travel down to
- 42:22Speaker 1: Ula Law game I might be going to. They'll be
- 42:25Speaker 1: hosting Marshall in this one. Ula La comes in ten
- 42:28Speaker 1: and two, seven and five against the number Marshall nine
- 42:31Speaker 1: and three and the best team in the country against
- 42:34Speaker 1: the number ten one and one. Ula Law is open
- 42:37Speaker 1: up at minus four, moved by the way to minus
- 42:39Speaker 1: five and a half over under slip, and fifty seven
- 42:41Speaker 1: and a half down to fifty six and a half.
- 42:43Speaker 1: It's important to know that Ula Lah is going to
- 42:45Speaker 1: be playing a backup quarterback in this one. But he
- 42:47Speaker 1: has played the last couple of games and he's got
- 42:49Speaker 1: over fourteen starts throughout his career when he's been there.
- 42:52Speaker 1: But they've been a wagon man. I mean they started
- 42:54Speaker 1: out slow last week on the road against ULA Monroe,
- 42:58Speaker 1: but put it back together. I'm gonna lay with LA.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Could have some weather in this game, maybe some rain,
- 43:05Speaker 1: but I'm still gonna lay it with LA. I think
- 43:07Speaker 1: this is the best team in the Sunbelt.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Hell, does Charles Huff not have a contract at Marshall
- 43:14Speaker 2: Day They've not up team and here he is his
- 43:16Speaker 2: team in the championship. Candidly, you don't go ten one
- 43:20Speaker 2: and one because you haven't performed pretty well against the spread.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I don't know what Marshall fans are looking for. I
- 43:28Speaker 2: mean I really don't. That is shocking to me that
- 43:32Speaker 2: he doesn't that he doesn't have a contract. But you know,
- 43:35Speaker 2: here we go.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Uh.
- 43:37Speaker 2: That may be a little bit of rally, but I
- 43:39Speaker 2: agree with you. It feels like Louisiana is the better team.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Playing at home is a big deal. Uh. That certainly
- 43:45Speaker 2: seems like the right way to go. But man, Marshall
- 43:47Speaker 2: has been a wagon against the number and so I
- 43:52Speaker 2: mean teams that cover numbers. It's like they cover numbers
- 43:56Speaker 2: and so you're getting five. So maybe a be a
- 44:00Speaker 2: good time to get it again. So uh, I think
- 44:02Speaker 2: Louisiana is gonna win this ball game, though, question is
- 44:05Speaker 2: do they get over the five?
- 44:06Speaker 1: That's the deal, you know what they say. It's got
- 44:09Speaker 1: good teams win and great teams cover. Absolutely. Ah, this
- 44:15Speaker 1: is my favorite game. Penn State, number three in the country,
- 44:18Speaker 1: matches up against Oregon. This game will be played in
- 44:22Speaker 1: Indianapolis inside of a dome, so we won't have any
- 44:25Speaker 1: weather issues here. It's kind of funny with both of
- 44:27Speaker 1: these teams, in my opinion, because neither one of these
- 44:30Speaker 1: teams has had a big game and a month rull
- 44:33Speaker 1: over a month and a half. Yeah, it's been a
- 44:35Speaker 1: while that you come in here. Penn State got a
- 44:38Speaker 1: little notoriety last week because how about my band James
- 44:41Speaker 1: Franklin not scared to breaking it off in the ass
- 44:45Speaker 1: if his old coordinator Mike Loxley by tossing a touchdown
- 44:48Speaker 1: pass with this third string quarterback and then even going
- 44:51Speaker 1: so far as to address it in the postgame news conference.
- 44:54Speaker 1: I think I think James Franklin. I loved him at bandy.
- 44:58Speaker 1: I think that guy is so insecure and just literally
- 45:02Speaker 1: he cannot win a big game and he's not gonna
- 45:04Speaker 1: win one. To hear either, Baby, give me the Oregon Ducks.
- 45:08Speaker 1: This is the best team in the country. You and
- 45:10Speaker 1: I've been talking about this team forever, and we talked
- 45:13Speaker 1: about the lack of physicality for years, not being able
- 45:16Speaker 1: to win the trench, so on and so forth. They
- 45:18Speaker 1: bring in Dylan Gabriel. That kid does so much that
- 45:22Speaker 1: doesn't show up in a stat sheet to make this
- 45:25Speaker 1: team better. He's so fun to watch. I think Oregon
- 45:30Speaker 1: boat races Penn State. Penn State's offense runs through one player.
- 45:34Speaker 1: If they're tight end Tyler Warren and speaking of a guy,
- 45:37Speaker 1: if you're gonna legitimately have fun in New York, most
- 45:40Speaker 1: people don't know who the kid is, but it would
- 45:42Speaker 1: be awesome to get him to watch a highlight reel
- 45:44Speaker 1: for this guy. But he literally fifty percent of their
- 45:48Speaker 1: passing downs go to him. He will line up at quarterback,
- 45:51Speaker 1: he will line up at tight end, he will line
- 45:53Speaker 1: up at full back, he will line up all over
- 45:55Speaker 1: the field. If you haven't watched him play yet, you're
- 45:57Speaker 1: gonna enjoy this Saturday evening. Trust me. But I think
- 46:00Speaker 1: Oregon takes these guys to the woodshit and just beats
- 46:05Speaker 1: them to oblivion. There's a reason they won't let that
- 46:08Speaker 1: hook go. Even if you're taking some Penn State money.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Take the Ducks, baby, I think they cover this one
- 46:13Speaker 1: walking away.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with you. I like, I truly like
- 46:20Speaker 2: Oregon here to win this game, and what I think
- 46:22Speaker 2: is comfortably Penn State. I mean, what's their what's their
- 46:25Speaker 2: marquee win Michigan? Yeah, I mean, you know, it's at
- 46:32Speaker 2: the end of the day, they've played one good team
- 46:37Speaker 2: and and that game wasn't very close. And when that
- 46:41Speaker 2: game in Happy Valley seems like it was.
- 46:43Speaker 1: It was.
- 46:44Speaker 2: I think they're gonna get hammered. I really do. They
- 46:47Speaker 2: don't win big games. I think James. I think James
- 46:50Speaker 2: Franklin's okay. But at the end of the day, Nick
- 46:52Speaker 2: Singleton and the tight end are all they got. And
- 46:55Speaker 2: I think this this Oregon defense is going to load
- 46:58Speaker 2: up to stop the run, make them make the quarterback
- 47:01Speaker 2: beat them. I don't think he's capable. I don't think
- 47:04Speaker 2: allars is capable of doing it, and I ain't. At
- 47:07Speaker 2: the end of the day, the mobile quarterback they're gonna
- 47:10Speaker 2: have a lot of trouble with. And I think Oregon
- 47:13Speaker 2: wins this game by seven to ten points, if not more.
- 47:17Speaker 1: I think this game they went easy. I have I
- 47:19Speaker 1: have no there's not a path. I can see that
- 47:23Speaker 1: Penn State wins this game.
- 47:24Speaker 2: There's always a path, but that's pretty damn narrow.
- 47:29Speaker 1: I tell you what. Dan Landing in Oregon, I was
- 47:33Speaker 1: kind of skeptical when they hired him, not sure why.
- 47:37Speaker 1: I thought maybe the job was too big for him
- 47:39Speaker 1: after Mario Cristobaul left to go to Miami. He's done
- 47:42Speaker 1: a hell of a job and I love how last
- 47:46Speaker 1: week at halftime he brought out the u doub helmet
- 47:49Speaker 1: because that was a monkey for them last year. I
- 47:51Speaker 1: lost to him twice and you're showing up. You say
- 47:53Speaker 1: he smashed their the ub helmet halftime with the sledgehammer.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Let them know to go out and finish the job
- 47:59Speaker 1: and get it done. I think he's carrying that momentum
- 48:02Speaker 1: into this game. It's like, hey, let's go win the
- 48:04Speaker 1: first big ten. You know we're in the conference. Let's
- 48:07Speaker 1: go win the first big ten. Which it's kind of
- 48:09Speaker 1: interesting that we're in this spot because if you look
- 48:12Speaker 1: at the conference championship games, what do you have? Oregon, SEMU, Texas,
- 48:18Speaker 1: Arizona State Army could all win their conference championships in
- 48:23Speaker 1: the first year these teams have been in that conference.
- 48:26Speaker 1: This is kind of fascinating, But it gets back to
- 48:28Speaker 1: the fact that the talent pools pulled apart. Speaking of
- 48:32Speaker 1: last game that we've got here, I caught a little
- 48:35Speaker 1: caught a little note from a long time listener friend
- 48:37Speaker 1: of ours asking me, where is the Clemson hate coming
- 48:41Speaker 1: from after all this time and last week after our
- 48:45Speaker 1: show went out, and I was like, look, man, I said,
- 48:47Speaker 1: they got to get some things accomplished over there. But
- 48:50Speaker 1: Clemson match backs their way into the ACC Championship game
- 48:55Speaker 1: after Miami can't close out against Syracuse last week. They're
- 48:59Speaker 1: going to be in sharp. It's gonna have a home
- 49:01Speaker 1: game field against this SMU team. Liones two over unders
- 49:06Speaker 1: at fifty five in this spot. There's all kinds of
- 49:10Speaker 1: different statistics that you've got. I've heard lots of readings
- 49:13Speaker 1: talking about they're comparing Jennings to Norris. The kid that's
- 49:17Speaker 1: at the Norris and the kids that's at South Carolina
- 49:20Speaker 1: from last week. Those are two completely different players. Man.
- 49:23Speaker 1: Jennings is not a big runner. Jennings is very mobile,
- 49:26Speaker 1: but he moves the pocket a lot, but he's not
- 49:28Speaker 1: a downfield runner. As much as they've got pair, It's
- 49:31Speaker 1: interesting how this is going to match up. This SMU team.
- 49:33Speaker 1: I did a super deep dive this week. Did not
- 49:36Speaker 1: start the season putting a lot of quarterback pressures in,
- 49:39Speaker 1: but over the last few weeks they've started blitzing more
- 49:43Speaker 1: and so you could see more of that in this game. Here.
- 49:46Speaker 1: If you leave and they they leave their corners on
- 49:48Speaker 1: an island a lot. They don't throw, they don't run
- 49:50Speaker 1: a lot of zone. They run a lot more man
- 49:52Speaker 1: coverage and I kind of think that plays into Clemson's favor.
- 49:56Speaker 1: If you can give club Nick a clean pocket with
- 49:59Speaker 1: those big wide receivers that he's got, I think he
- 50:02Speaker 1: can I think he can cook, and so I lean
- 50:05Speaker 1: Clemson in this game. I think they Dabbo gets these
- 50:08Speaker 1: kids wound up to come in here. Hey man, we're
- 50:11Speaker 1: gonna get this done. It's like we've been here. It
- 50:13Speaker 1: bounces some of you out of the college football Playoff,
- 50:16Speaker 1: probably for good. Maybe brings Miami back into the fold.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Who knows at this point. But I think Clemson wins
- 50:22Speaker 1: this game is my personal opinion.
- 50:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I just have not had a good read on
- 50:27Speaker 2: SMU all year. I think I've said this multiple times.
- 50:30Speaker 2: I still can't get that in the BOTA game out
- 50:32Speaker 2: of my head because at the end of the day,
- 50:36Speaker 2: they were such a bad team. Look, good teams get
- 50:38Speaker 2: better throughout the year. But man, every time I feel
- 50:41Speaker 2: like I want to do something with SMU, I regret
- 50:44Speaker 2: it and they just totally let me down. I don't
- 50:47Speaker 2: know this football team enough. I will tell you this,
- 50:51Speaker 2: that's a pretty good win last week. I think they're
- 50:55Speaker 2: going to get the hell beat out of them when
- 50:57Speaker 2: they get in the playoffs, and if they lose this week,
- 51:01Speaker 2: do they deserve to get in? There's gonna be all
- 51:04Speaker 2: the uproar that tells you yes, oh, they've only got
- 51:08Speaker 2: two losses. You can't put all these teams with three
- 51:11Speaker 2: losses in over them. You can't penalize them for losing
- 51:14Speaker 2: the conference championship. You're gonna hear all these tours out.
- 51:17Speaker 2: I don't think there's anybody with eyes that thinks they're
- 51:19Speaker 2: one of the best teams in the country. I don't,
- 51:23Speaker 2: And I think they're a great story. I think Lashley
- 51:26Speaker 2: has done a great job. I think they're gonna continue
- 51:29Speaker 2: to improve, but I think they're gonna continue to get better.
- 51:33Speaker 2: But I just don't see it. And candidly, let's pray
- 51:37Speaker 2: that nobody's got to go to that high school field
- 51:39Speaker 2: for a playoff game. I mean, seriously, can you imagine
- 51:46Speaker 2: Georgia fans rolling in and and and they got to
- 51:51Speaker 2: go to that stadium. They'd be like, dude, this is
- 51:55Speaker 2: like Valdosta State, this is Georgia, Come on, man, and look,
- 52:03Speaker 2: I know sum he's got plenty of money. I understand
- 52:05Speaker 2: that some of their boosters are probably listening and pissed off,
- 52:09Speaker 2: but at the end of the day, man, they're at
- 52:11Speaker 2: the stadium, traffic getting in and out of their sucks.
- 52:15Speaker 2: I mean, it's just a hot mess. And I just, man,
- 52:19Speaker 2: we do not need these guys hosting a playoff game
- 52:21Speaker 2: at this point, So they might need to slide that
- 52:23Speaker 2: over to Jerry World or somewhere besides there, because I
- 52:28Speaker 2: just cannot imagine those guys hosting a home comp home
- 52:33Speaker 2: playoff game. Now, if they win this game, we'll have
- 52:35Speaker 2: to worry about that because they'll get a buye. But
- 52:38Speaker 2: if they lose and make the playoff, I don't know,
- 52:41Speaker 2: there may be a chance for those guys to host,
- 52:43Speaker 2: so't it'll be a hot mess down in Dallas. But
- 52:46Speaker 2: I just I just don't feel like this is one
- 52:49Speaker 2: of the best teams. So at the end of the day,
- 52:50Speaker 2: I'm rooting for Clemson. That's truth. I do think Miami's
- 52:53Speaker 2: the best team in this league. I think Miami is
- 52:55Speaker 2: a bost talented team in the league. And as we
- 52:58Speaker 2: said preseason, Mario crystal Ball would find a way to
- 53:02Speaker 2: blow it, and he find a way to blow it.
- 53:04Speaker 2: That's the bottom line.
- 53:05Speaker 1: Unbelievable. Unbelievable, all right, Scotty of all the games. Give
- 53:10Speaker 1: me your three favorite bets. You could have an underdog parlay.
- 53:14Speaker 1: You could have your favorite.
- 53:17Speaker 2: Oregon Orgon is my favorite. It's not close.
- 53:20Speaker 1: Uh.
- 53:20Speaker 2: Next I'm going to take I like, I really like
- 53:26Speaker 2: Army at home with the points, and that is because
- 53:29Speaker 2: I think I think two lane could win that ball game.
- 53:32Speaker 2: But like went home and then Arizona State's my other.
- 53:36Speaker 1: I like where you're headed here. I'm gonna go under
- 53:38Speaker 1: in the West Coast. I'm gonna go Friday night. I'm
- 53:42Speaker 1: going dead under across the board. I think all that
- 53:45Speaker 1: comes home. Haven't figured out the Tulane Army game yet
- 53:48Speaker 1: if I'm gonna play a saturd or night. But I
- 53:50Speaker 1: like the unders and those and then you don't have
- 53:52Speaker 1: any Leopardy maybe of Ohio land too. You're not gonna
- 53:55Speaker 1: go out on the limb from the back here.
- 53:57Speaker 2: I'm cheering for Ohio. I mean, look and look. Don't
- 54:00Speaker 2: don't get me wrong. My three favorite teams of the
- 54:02Speaker 2: mac are Toledo, Ohio and Miami of Ohio. Oxford, Ohio
- 54:07Speaker 2: is a great town for the people that are listening
- 54:10Speaker 2: that have never been there. It's a that's a cool campus,
- 54:13Speaker 2: beautiful campus. There by far my three favorite teams in
- 54:17Speaker 2: the MAC. So I mean it's not you know, it's
- 54:20Speaker 2: not that I'm really cheering it, but you know, man,
- 54:22Speaker 2: I want Ohio to win it. I want them to
- 54:24Speaker 2: break the spell, you know, want coach Albans to get
- 54:26Speaker 2: them over the hump. I think that's a big story.
- 54:29Speaker 2: So I'm cheering for him. So I'm hoping they don't.
- 54:32Speaker 2: So heck no, I'm not gonna Heck no, I'm not
- 54:34Speaker 2: gonna tell everybody to bet on it. A bet I
- 54:36Speaker 2: bet on Miami of Ohio, but I'm cheering for Ohio.
- 54:40Speaker 1: Goodness, Chris, Both Conference Championship weekend is gonna be great.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Get out there and enjoy your time. Hopefully we're gonna
- 54:46Speaker 1: have some great games. We might still have some chaos
- 54:48Speaker 1: left at the into this thing. Hopefully my ULV running
- 54:51Speaker 1: rebels upset Boise to get me my conference championship bet,
- 54:55Speaker 1: which would be fantastic. Same thing for the two lane
- 54:57Speaker 1: Greenway baby, And then next week we'll have Army Navy.
- 55:01Speaker 1: Before we get into conference champ or before we get
- 55:03Speaker 1: into the bowl season and everything else. Hit us up
- 55:06Speaker 1: on Twitter, give us some reviews, give us some ratings. Otherwise,
- 55:09Speaker 1: y'all have so much fun and enjoy your conference championship.
- 55:13Speaker 2: We can
