- 0:03Speaker 1: Cool two thirty five perfect already. Welcome back to the
- 0:08Speaker 1: Son of a Boy Dad podcast. It's June fifteenth, it's
- 0:11Speaker 1: two thirty pm. We're in Chicago and we are joined
- 0:14Speaker 1: by Big Cat some boys. Thank you for being here.
- 0:19Speaker 2: First question, how many ads on this episode?
- 0:22Speaker 1: Oh? That is a good question. I don't know if
- 0:24Speaker 1: we have them yet?
- 0:24Speaker 3: Do we four?
- 0:26Speaker 2: Because I'm looking to take like a little private vacation,
- 0:28Speaker 2: So I figure whatever I do on this show, it
- 0:31Speaker 2: gets kicked back to me.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, we all so, yeah, glad you understand.
- 0:38Speaker 2: That's how it works.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Earlier stories, we had Mouk and Jerry on and they
- 0:43Speaker 4: represented their shots of the story. I feel like you
- 0:46Speaker 4: had a very unique bird's eye view of Sasa's comments
- 0:50Speaker 4: this past week.
- 0:50Speaker 2: There's something about when Sas gets going and I can
- 0:54Speaker 2: see it in his face.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I'm like, Oh, he's.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Gonna do it. He's gonna say this shit, He's gonna
- 0:58Speaker 2: say a.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Really dumb thing right now. I love it about him.
- 1:01Speaker 2: And I also think that Sas, like I said to
- 1:03Speaker 2: Jerry right after, I was like, he like, SaaS is
- 1:06Speaker 2: not It's not a malicious thing that he said. He's
- 1:09Speaker 2: just young and like maybe a little immature. Sorry if
- 1:13Speaker 2: that hurts your feelings. But like I used to think
- 1:15Speaker 2: that too, where it's like, oh, we do this thing,
- 1:17Speaker 2: we get this money, where's my cut?
- 1:18Speaker 1: Yeah, And then you.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Get older and you're like, oh shit, yeah when I salaries.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Yeah, when I first started on yeack, I think that
- 1:26Speaker 1: was the worst I ever was. Yeah, that was where
- 1:28Speaker 1: I was like I should be getting one hundred p
- 1:30Speaker 1: yeah right right, Oh that's not how it works. Yeah,
- 1:34Speaker 1: I've gotten better, but last week was a bad week.
- 1:37Speaker 1: It was a big, big fuck up.
- 1:38Speaker 2: You must be shocked whenever like NFL players go to
- 1:42Speaker 2: collective bargaining and they're oh, yeah, how are they not
- 1:44Speaker 2: getting what do you mean?
- 1:47Speaker 4: Four a million? And they're only getting paid fifty million.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Joe Burrow is getting robbed.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Joe Burrow should be making three billion dollars a year.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Yet believe in a free market. Have you talked to
- 1:57Speaker 1: Dave recently?
- 1:58Speaker 3: No?
- 1:59Speaker 1: I last times.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Chris is awesome and I will just talk over here.
- 2:04Speaker 1: The last time that I talked to Dave was my negotiation,
- 2:07Speaker 1: which went well, yeah, can you did you sign on
- 2:10Speaker 1: for more this time?
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it went It was a good talk and uh,
- 2:14Speaker 1: everything went well. I don't know. I can't say things
- 2:17Speaker 1: are going well now.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I feel like I think they're fine.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I think they're fine. The big problem with that whole
- 2:22Speaker 1: thing last week, which I talked about it a little
- 2:24Speaker 1: bit already, but the big problem was that, so we
- 2:28Speaker 1: ran out of things to talk about on Son of
- 2:29Speaker 1: a Boy that episode, Like we were out. I was like,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I'm just gonna talk.
- 2:33Speaker 2: No one had taken a flight that week exactly.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Exactly working, Yeah, we're strapped for topics normal bowel movement. Yeah.
- 2:42Speaker 4: Fuck, so we're.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Back half of the episode episode. I'm like, God, let's
- 2:46Speaker 1: talk about this. The problem. The biggest issue with that
- 2:49Speaker 1: was we had the meeting with Austin right after that,
- 2:52Speaker 1: and the meeting went very well.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:55Speaker 1: We were all like, all right, that makes sense, Like
- 2:57Speaker 1: he cleared up all of the things that we had consisd.
- 2:59Speaker 1: It's the same thing we had when we had the meeting.
- 3:01Speaker 1: It's a reoccurring meeting. You have to have the meeting
- 3:03Speaker 1: like once a week.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I said that, yeah, just.
- 3:06Speaker 1: To remind ourselves, like, oh yeah, that makes sense. And
- 3:09Speaker 1: then God's like a great place. Everything made sense. Every
- 3:13Speaker 1: Jerry was like I get it. Yeah, you know, he
- 3:15Speaker 1: was given another I get it. And then the next
- 3:18Speaker 1: morning that podcast came out, which I also did think
- 3:20Speaker 1: about having it cut, and then I was like, I
- 3:22Speaker 1: don't even think I said anything that crazy. And then
- 3:25Speaker 1: you know, you wake up and see the day of tweet,
- 3:28Speaker 1: which that's happened to me a lot. Yeah, I'm pretty accustomed.
- 3:31Speaker 2: To me, I said to Francis the other day, Like
- 3:33Speaker 2: the Dave is it's the invisible guest theory where it's like,
- 3:36Speaker 2: as much as you think Dave is thinking about you,
- 3:39Speaker 2: he's not. When he saw you for a second, tweeted it,
- 3:42Speaker 2: then went out.
- 3:43Speaker 1: That long yeah in his day, That's exactly what I
- 3:45Speaker 1: was saying, Right, dude, he's in Miami and he's rich,
- 3:50Speaker 1: as he's not thinking about us at all.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Right, which is actually probably a strength that Dave has
- 3:54Speaker 2: in terms of like a leader, is that everyone is
- 3:56Speaker 2: always being like, man, Dave's thinking about me when he
- 3:58Speaker 2: definitely not.
- 4:00Speaker 4: He's on the beach and like, he still is a
- 4:02Speaker 4: pretty high volume tweeter, so you can go through his
- 4:04Speaker 4: timeline and be like, he's talked about twelve things today
- 4:07Speaker 4: and you're down here. Yeah you've been pushed down, but
- 4:10Speaker 4: I'm sure it was the well, I don't even think
- 4:11Speaker 4: it was that bad for you in the moment. I'm
- 4:13Speaker 4: sure it was worse for Jerry.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it wasn't that bad for me. I just felt
- 4:16Speaker 1: bad because I put Jerry and Mooke in a tough spot.
- 4:18Speaker 2: And then obviously, and you also kind of did the
- 4:20Speaker 2: math and you're like, Jerry's making how much?
- 4:22Speaker 1: Yeah, then that obviously comes to It's a lot, Moke said.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Listen, Jerry, I mean, Jerry is Albert Haynesworth. Yeah, he
- 4:31Speaker 2: got all his sacks, he signed his big deal and
- 4:33Speaker 2: then he got on his boat and he started racing around.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I say that, and by the way, I've said this
- 4:39Speaker 2: to Jerry's face one hundred times.
- 4:40Speaker 1: It's not like I'm talking behind his back.
- 4:42Speaker 4: But Albert Odsworth signed for seven years, one hundred million dollars.
- 4:46Speaker 4: No one was making on the ground.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah stuff. Molke said he was trying to figure
- 4:51Speaker 1: out where he was in the seven fit seven figures
- 4:56Speaker 1: to the broa.
- 5:00Speaker 4: I mean learning experience. You know, I'm sure you have
- 5:02Speaker 4: to deal with people's uh, you know, I don't.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Even I told the success before when Bush was starting,
- 5:08Speaker 2: because it was it was kind of bubbling up again,
- 5:10Speaker 2: like this similar situation. Then I got I got on
- 5:13Speaker 2: a call with him and I explained it to him,
- 5:15Speaker 2: and then after I called him separately and I was like, Dude,
- 5:18Speaker 2: the biggest advice I can give you is, like when
- 5:20Speaker 2: we started with PMT, I remember like there was always
- 5:22Speaker 2: a little tension between Dave and Erica and and PMT
- 5:26Speaker 2: because PMT was growing at such a crazy pace, and
- 5:29Speaker 2: I was like, every time I let it faster up,
- 5:32Speaker 2: I would make like this boogeyman thought in my head
- 5:35Speaker 2: of like Dave and Erica are trying to keep us down.
- 5:37Speaker 2: And then I'd go talk to Dave and he would
- 5:39Speaker 2: just like talk to me like, oh, that makes sense.
- 5:42Speaker 2: He's like, is it the longer that you let it
- 5:44Speaker 2: faster and the bigger it gets in your head you
- 5:46Speaker 2: start like creating invisible enemies?
- 5:49Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 5:50Speaker 2: And then then and then they and then he tells
- 5:51Speaker 2: you exactly what is You're like, oh, yeah, okay, yeah.
- 5:53Speaker 4: It kind of reminds me of like the James Cordon
- 5:56Speaker 4: or like who is the late night show that just ended?
- 5:59Speaker 4: And oh Stephen, yeah, And there was one hundred or
- 6:02Speaker 4: like three hundred people on the stage and everybody's like
- 6:05Speaker 4: that's fucking like at Barstool, we only have like four
- 6:07Speaker 4: people that work on every show. But it's like when
- 6:10Speaker 4: you when you actually look at it, like the marketing
- 6:12Speaker 4: people and the PR people and the HR people and
- 6:16Speaker 4: the merch people and the security people all have to
- 6:18Speaker 4: be paid out of it. So it's like the team
- 6:20Speaker 4: is bigger than anybody ever realizes. But those sweets wear
- 6:24Speaker 4: bankers and in real time.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Our HR person, I don't know, you guys probably Kim, Yeah, everything.
- 6:32Speaker 2: If you want to talk about, like Dave's got a
- 6:34Speaker 2: book coming out, Pardon My Takes, got a book coming out,
- 6:37Speaker 2: That's the book that I would read, Kim, Kim, I
- 6:39Speaker 2: mean she has the hardest job in the world because
- 6:41Speaker 2: everyone jokes like, do you guys even have HR's Like yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 2: she's awesome.
- 6:45Speaker 4: People people think because of this stuff that's come out
- 6:47Speaker 4: that like, oh Barstool just like anything flies if you
- 6:51Speaker 4: what if you knew the stuff that didn't what if
- 6:54Speaker 4: you knew the lists of naughty naughty things that have happened,
- 6:58Speaker 4: And that's got.
- 6:59Speaker 2: To be a really our job. Oh you think, I
- 7:01Speaker 2: mean for sure, like pulling out her phone when when
- 7:05Speaker 2: we're doing like Vegas spring breaks.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Oh, she's like well, yeah, this just broke in every
- 7:10Speaker 1: rule that we have in place.
- 7:12Speaker 5: So funny on the pod, like a few weeks ago,
- 7:16Speaker 5: the interns had just arrived in New York and I said, boy,
- 7:19Speaker 5: they're a good looking bunch, and I that haunted me,
- 7:26Speaker 5: and I meant and I was like quick to be
- 7:28Speaker 5: like boys and girls.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a collective group. They're handsome kids.
- 7:33Speaker 2: But it is that true because we got all uglies.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Really No, not really, I don't they're handsome here too.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I don't really, Well, we don't really have any like
- 7:45Speaker 1: content interns, right, it's all like upstairs people. It's all
- 7:49Speaker 1: like product or like.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Oh do we not have any content?
- 7:52Speaker 1: And I don't think so.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Now fourteen total, only seven did the intern interview seven
- 7:58Speaker 4: seven opt outs. It's seven opt outs an option I think, damn,
- 8:03Speaker 4: which wasn't an option to opt out. But yeah, to
- 8:05Speaker 4: your point, like you thought what you did was bad.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Well, it just it rang in my head like saying
- 8:10Speaker 5: interns or attractive. Really it's pretty down the line.
- 8:15Speaker 4: That's like a nineteen nineties transgression.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, the fuck, come on, man, wrap it up.
- 8:23Speaker 4: That is an old transgression. But I mean, Kim God
- 8:26Speaker 4: bless her should have Kim on.
- 8:28Speaker 1: She would be awesome. I don't know what she would be.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I don't think she's allowed to talk about any anything.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, she is very sweet though.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Do you think she goes home and talks. Yeah, you
- 8:37Speaker 1: gotta unload that.
- 8:38Speaker 2: I think that's like half that's spousal like privileged, Like yeah,
- 8:42Speaker 2: like if you're in the mafia, your wife can't like, yeah,
- 8:44Speaker 2: you know, on the stand against you. I don't think
- 8:47Speaker 2: it's true.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Yeah, but Kim just tells her Guma everything. Kim just
- 8:53Speaker 4: tells her side man everything.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:55Speaker 2: If Kim has a therapist, that's who we got to talk.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Oh yeah right right yeah.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Imagine being an HR person and like, I mean, what
- 9:01Speaker 1: is our HR department? That was it just her? Yeah?
- 9:04Speaker 4: I think there's some she had some people people and
- 9:06Speaker 4: then she talks to legal and she talks.
- 9:09Speaker 1: They got to get coffee together every day and wine.
- 9:13Speaker 2: It's literally world's hardest job HR at Barstool Sports. Yes,
- 9:17Speaker 2: it's like like Mike Rowe should show up, so show
- 9:22Speaker 2: me your day.
- 9:23Speaker 4: They're rolling up his sleeves to take calls about this
- 9:26Speaker 4: and that. How's your guys book coming?
- 9:28Speaker 1: We're done?
- 9:29Speaker 2: I was when I was talking to France the other day, like,
- 9:32Speaker 2: because I know he the whole Dave ghostwriting thing kind
- 9:35Speaker 2: of sucked for him. But we went through the exact
- 9:37Speaker 2: same experience where we hired a ghostwriter and the ghostwriter
- 9:41Speaker 2: did a really good job of getting a bunch of
- 9:43Speaker 2: interviews with like some of our longtime guests and people
- 9:47Speaker 2: like talking about their experience. But he wrote the whole
- 9:50Speaker 2: book and then I read maybe ten pages. I was like, well,
- 9:53Speaker 2: we have to rewrite all of it. So I had
- 9:55Speaker 2: to rewrite all of it.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Was what was your like telltale sentence that was like,
- 9:59Speaker 4: this is not It wasn't.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Like it wasn't that he did. He did a fine job.
- 10:02Speaker 2: It's just that we quickly realize, like when you have
- 10:05Speaker 2: someone like Dave, someone like PFT, someone like myself who
- 10:08Speaker 2: has a distinct writing voice and podcasting voice for a
- 10:11Speaker 2: decade plus. The minute someone reads it, they're like, oh,
- 10:15Speaker 2: he didn't write it, Like you could do that. If
- 10:18Speaker 2: Kareem abdul Jabbar has a book. We don't know. Kareem
- 10:21Speaker 2: abdul Jabbar has never written a guess that ass you
- 10:24Speaker 2: know what I mean, So we don't know what that
- 10:26Speaker 2: sounds like.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Yeah, he didn't do it. MMBM is a pft's part
- 10:32Speaker 4: written in like PFTs like intentional misspelling.
- 10:36Speaker 2: No, no, he cleaned up. But we did tell, which
- 10:40Speaker 2: I think made them very uncomfortable. We told our editor that,
- 10:45Speaker 2: like Zach, Zach wrote a couple of chapters, Hank wrote
- 10:48Speaker 2: a couple of chapters. Max memes all the guys and
- 10:50Speaker 2: we're like, do not touch it, do not edit it,
- 10:54Speaker 2: do not do anything.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Yeah, Zach's like he had.
- 10:57Speaker 2: A paragraph that, like you, you couldn't even understand what
- 11:01Speaker 2: he was trying to say. But that's how it should be.
- 11:03Speaker 4: It should just be that is there annotations or anything.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I just leave it exactly how it is.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I can't wait to read that.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:12Speaker 2: The editors like they have to be just pulling their
- 11:14Speaker 2: hair out, like this is not how the book. Like Barstool,
- 11:19Speaker 2: I was doing the audio book reading and I still
- 11:21Speaker 2: I was like catching things, being like oh yeah, there
- 11:23Speaker 2: should be.
- 11:23Speaker 4: A word here, and that longer than you expected.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Uh No.
- 11:27Speaker 2: They actually yelled at me because I was I was
- 11:29Speaker 2: talking too fast. I was like I'm I'm like talking
- 11:33Speaker 2: normally and they're like, yeah, you're supposed.
- 11:34Speaker 1: To talk slower. It's like, well, I kind of want
- 11:36Speaker 1: to be done with this. Yeah, you's going to put
- 11:39Speaker 1: it in one point five anyway, Yeah, right right when
- 11:42Speaker 1: Shapiro yah. And sometimes they're like, You're like this is
- 11:44Speaker 1: so slow, Like who's listening? Yeah, dude, it's thirty second
- 11:48Speaker 1: pauses between sentences.
- 11:50Speaker 2: It's I listened to this podcast on one point eight.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I listen to anything on YouTube, I'd go like one
- 11:55Speaker 2: point five minimum, because like I just can't. Yeah, it's
- 11:58Speaker 2: completely rewired my brain.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I haven't gotten into that, but I feel like that
- 12:02Speaker 1: is a very common thing where people once they go
- 12:04Speaker 1: to it, they never stop. Yeah.
- 12:06Speaker 4: I drove from at I drove from like Houston to
- 12:09Speaker 4: Atlanta with or like Jackson, Mississippi to Atlanta with All
- 12:12Speaker 4: Business Pete, and he was listening to podcasts on like
- 12:15Speaker 4: three fs. I've never done anything. I felt like I
- 12:18Speaker 4: was in a time machine or like in Star Wars
- 12:20Speaker 4: when like all the stars go like zipping past you.
- 12:23Speaker 1: It was fucking insane, just rapidly processing information.
- 12:26Speaker 2: My mistake is I always change. I changed the videos
- 12:29Speaker 2: on Twitter to like one point five, and then I'll
- 12:31Speaker 2: like click on a random highlight like ship faster than
- 12:35Speaker 2: I thought, Like insane.
- 12:38Speaker 1: He's fucking five seconds forty six spin moves. That's pretty
- 12:47Speaker 1: six up.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Yeah, what are you gonna talk about with Gruden? If
- 12:50Speaker 4: if that, if that's your ball.
- 12:51Speaker 1: No, I can't be slipping up like that. You can't
- 12:54Speaker 1: like an adderall or something walk away in That's what
- 12:57Speaker 1: I was white boarding here.
- 12:58Speaker 4: I don't know what Gruden and SaaS is common ground
- 13:00Speaker 4: is going to be tomorrow.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I met him, way, what are you guys doing tomorrow?
- 13:04Speaker 1: We're just gonna do it. We're gonna have him on
- 13:05Speaker 1: the pod. Oh fuck, yeah, yeah wow. I met him
- 13:08Speaker 1: at New Orleans, New Orleans for the Super Bowl. But
- 13:11Speaker 1: I don't think I spoke to him at all.
- 13:14Speaker 4: So what do you mean you met?
- 13:16Speaker 1: You like, filmed a sketch with him, But I don't
- 13:17Speaker 1: know if he knew I was there.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Pony, Yeah, that was a great scout.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I think I was there in his head.
- 13:23Speaker 2: He can smell out of Beta mal.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he smelled me out from a mile.
- 13:27Speaker 5: Away last year because I was on the bubble and
- 13:31Speaker 5: then added the late to the Internet imitational. Somehow, miraculously
- 13:36Speaker 5: I ended up for my lodging in a shared house
- 13:40Speaker 5: with as my roommates, Austin Dave and John Gruden, right, yeah, yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 5: And there was this company and you'll know the name
- 13:49Speaker 5: that had sent you and Jack Bruden and Dave these
- 13:53Speaker 5: boxes of autographed sports memorabilia.
- 13:57Speaker 3: And they hadn't opened them yet. Do you know the
- 13:59Speaker 3: name of that company?
- 14:00Speaker 2: I don't, but I remember the box I got.
- 14:02Speaker 1: And I don't know.
- 14:03Speaker 5: If you guys know this, but you don't know this,
- 14:05Speaker 5: but as a kid, I lost sleep at night thinking
- 14:09Speaker 5: of ways to get autographs from athletes.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I would.
- 14:13Speaker 5: We would get there to the Celtics games two hours early.
- 14:16Speaker 5: I would knew the spot to stand. I would look
- 14:19Speaker 5: sickly to try to like.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Oh Lebron.
- 14:24Speaker 5: I didn't get passed from make a wish because it's
- 14:26Speaker 5: not terminal, but you know, like whatever. And Carlos Boozer
- 14:30Speaker 5: gave me his shoes off his own feet after a game.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Was yeah, I had some cool stuff.
- 14:35Speaker 5: And I remember I got Alan Iverson and Eric Snow
- 14:39Speaker 5: in the Eastern Conference semifinals when the Celtics played the
- 14:41Speaker 5: Sixers one year. Maybe it was the first round either way.
- 14:45Speaker 5: So my point is they're opening boxes in front of me.
- 14:50Speaker 5: Oh yeah, and it's like Tom Brady personalized, like note
- 14:57Speaker 5: on the letter.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Oh, I got a Walter Payton signed football. Yeah, I
- 15:02Speaker 2: mean he's passed away twenty five years.
- 15:05Speaker 5: Gronk like help official Patriots helmet sign And I'm just
- 15:12Speaker 5: like drooling, and I think they might have left.
- 15:17Speaker 2: The stuff I took my you took I took mine
- 15:20Speaker 2: because I remember I got it was like a mix
- 15:22Speaker 2: of like Bears and Badgers.
- 15:23Speaker 1: And I got a T. J.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Watt signed helmet Steelers. I held that over Jerry's head
- 15:27Speaker 2: for a while. Yeah, then I finally gave it.
- 15:30Speaker 3: They took it.
- 15:30Speaker 5: But each day as the tournament wore on, it was
- 15:32Speaker 5: sitting out on the kitchen counter and I was like,
- 15:35Speaker 5: I wonder if they've taken inventory of all the things.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you could have.
- 15:39Speaker 2: You could have taken something.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Like Bruden like knows the guys personally, like he probably
- 15:45Speaker 4: like signed letters just would have been.
- 15:47Speaker 1: A tough look if they notice. Yeah, where did the
- 15:50Speaker 1: signed Gronk helmet go? Clearly bulging out of your back?
- 15:58Speaker 1: See the mask? You see your means?
- 16:00Speaker 2: You know I'm getting in the collectibles game?
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yeah? Did did you guys go pissing the bills trough? No?
- 16:05Speaker 1: I have a fully functional.
- 16:06Speaker 2: I heard about I didn't where it is sick. It's
- 16:10Speaker 2: in the back bathroom.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I got to check.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you gotta go pissing that. It is a little
- 16:13Speaker 2: bit of a bad angle because if you're pissing in
- 16:15Speaker 2: it and anyone walks in the bathroom, they just it's just.
- 16:18Speaker 4: Direct cock shit. It's no, it's like a three hundred
- 16:20Speaker 4: and sixty degree Yeah, it's like it's like how Pepper
- 16:24Speaker 4: nine has three hundred sixty degrees of ocean. You can
- 16:27Speaker 4: see the penis from anywhere.
- 16:28Speaker 2: That is essentially the Brian Kelly video when he's on
- 16:30Speaker 2: the rotating thing. That's just how you're pissing.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Is a two girls at a wedding. You know that
- 16:35Speaker 3: camera that goes all.
- 16:36Speaker 1: The way around exactly, Yeah, same exact one.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Yeah, it's good memorabilia.
- 16:41Speaker 1: It's good.
- 16:41Speaker 2: I mean it's the ship that no one wants.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good find. Yeah where did you How
- 16:45Speaker 1: did you find that?
- 16:46Speaker 2: That one was an auction? The other ones, like the
- 16:49Speaker 2: Florida State banner, I just I just asked them and
- 16:51Speaker 2: they were like, yeah, I guess we'll do it. I
- 16:55Speaker 2: would have thought they put up a banner saying there
- 16:56Speaker 2: were number four when COVID happened that. Yeah, it's sitting
- 17:00Speaker 2: right in the middle.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I got I gotta be more aware.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Yeah stuff, Yeah, you.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Went right up to that. You were right for the
- 17:05Speaker 4: video games. As soon as you got here.
- 17:07Speaker 2: I had to take a look, you know, see what
- 17:09Speaker 2: it was like, Are you guys can I ask a
- 17:10Speaker 2: question about Bush? Are you guys ever going to just play?
- 17:12Speaker 2: Like you should just play? And you keep losing players?
- 17:15Speaker 2: Just play?
- 17:15Speaker 1: Well? So we I did play at the last tournament.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Yeah you would be like like Bill Russell, didn't he
- 17:20Speaker 2: play in coach?
- 17:21Speaker 4: Yeah exactly.
- 17:22Speaker 1: It's really hard, and I thought it was going to
- 17:24Speaker 1: be easier, Like I thought. I thought the skill gap
- 17:27Speaker 1: wasn't going to be like you know, it's like I.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Don't know if he was like if Tom Thibodeau like
- 17:32Speaker 4: laced up for a game, he was like if John
- 17:35Speaker 4: Gruden like tried to like play offensive line against Miles
- 17:38Speaker 4: Garrett or something like that.
- 17:40Speaker 5: And we know the skill gap is crazy because Harry
- 17:43Speaker 5: and I played video games and he and I are
- 17:45Speaker 5: the same. Oh I forgot he beat you right, yeah?
- 17:49Speaker 5: And I hadn't played video games in fifteen years.
- 17:52Speaker 2: So what's the How do you get better? Is it
- 17:55Speaker 2: get younger or more Asian.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I think it's like a combination. You got to be
- 18:00Speaker 1: young and agent.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yeah, isn't it like the the prime is like like
- 18:06Speaker 2: a twenty two year old in Call of Duty.
- 18:07Speaker 1: He's like that guy's washed. It's like twenty two is
- 18:10Speaker 1: like if he hasn't like if he's not frying now
- 18:13Speaker 1: he's got to get like it's it's coming to a close.
- 18:15Speaker 1: It's crazy, like they like the oldest player in the
- 18:17Speaker 1: league right now, I think just turned twenty six, Jesus,
- 18:20Speaker 1: So he's washed.
- 18:20Speaker 4: So he's like Tom Brad He's like Aaron Rodgers right
- 18:23Speaker 4: now he's still sick.
- 18:24Speaker 5: Yeah, but they're like gymnasts, yeah, exactly figure skaters.
- 18:28Speaker 1: But the skill gap is big. I mean I played it.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I played in where we were last Dallas or no Atlanta.
- 18:34Speaker 1: When we were in Atlanta, I played like as a
- 18:36Speaker 1: joke with like nicky numbers, like in the tournament, and
- 18:39Speaker 1: we came in last place in the whole tournament. But
- 18:41Speaker 1: like we came in last place. The dudes that we
- 18:43Speaker 1: were playing new like we suck. Obviously they weren't trying
- 18:47Speaker 1: at all. I like couldn't even see them on the screen.
- 18:51Speaker 1: It was like they would go by the screen and
- 18:53Speaker 1: then you're just you're dead immediately.
- 18:55Speaker 4: You need to get neuralink, is really what.
- 18:57Speaker 3: There's a guy.
- 18:58Speaker 1: There's a guy we talked about the Saudi there's a
- 19:00Speaker 1: guy in the Saudi League that has neuralink.
- 19:02Speaker 4: Really is he sick?
- 19:03Speaker 1: Yeah, he's one of the top players.
- 19:04Speaker 4: You need to get neuralink and you need to start
- 19:06Speaker 4: biohacking like that dude Brian Johnson, because he's aging in reverse.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Yeah, and his wife has a perfect pussy, per perfect
- 19:14Speaker 4: sex every night.
- 19:16Speaker 3: I did not know he was straight. Oh, and I'm
- 19:19Speaker 3: not even saying that.
- 19:20Speaker 2: What was what was getting you off with the fact
- 19:22Speaker 2: that he was tracking his son's boners.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I mean, he posts like statistics from his sex every morning.
- 19:33Speaker 2: But the minute he went to that Enhanced Games and
- 19:36Speaker 2: he had that son umbrella, I was like, all right,
- 19:38Speaker 2: I'm out.
- 19:39Speaker 1: I saw that.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Yeah, he was on set and he had a son
- 19:43Speaker 2: umbrella and he's like, son, like I never am in
- 19:45Speaker 2: the sun. What's the point of living if you can't get.
- 19:48Speaker 4: All of his life is ruined? The only thing he
- 19:51Speaker 4: because he doesn't drink, he doesn't like touch the sun,
- 19:54Speaker 4: he doesn't eat anything interesting. He is like basically lives
- 19:57Speaker 4: in an incubator for all of his Yeah.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Get his turf meltdown. No, oh, you missed out on
- 20:05Speaker 1: a big one. He found out that well, he works
- 20:08Speaker 1: out in his front lawn that's made fully of turf. Okay,
- 20:12Speaker 1: and he found out recently that the part of something
- 20:14Speaker 1: in turf has like carcinogens and.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Yeah, that's like a plastic bubbles.
- 20:20Speaker 1: He broke down on Twitter. He was in a bull
- 20:22Speaker 1: He was like, I can't believe I didn't know this,
- 20:24Speaker 1: Like I've been trying so hard to be healthy and
- 20:26Speaker 1: I've been surrounding myself by carcinogens for years now, full breakdown.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Is it bad to say, like, I hope he gets
- 20:33Speaker 2: hit by a bus.
- 20:35Speaker 1: It's not good, But I get where you're coming.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I didn't say it. I said is it bad.
- 20:39Speaker 5: I didn't say it's not bad if it's a biodiesel bus,
- 20:44Speaker 5: if it's if it's fracking produced.
- 20:47Speaker 4: No fracking would be bad, but just some natural gas
- 20:49Speaker 4: pouring the bus or something would be good.
- 20:51Speaker 2: And I'm not saying like, like killed right away. I
- 20:54Speaker 2: want him to have like a moment where he's like, damn,
- 20:56Speaker 2: I really should have gotten a.
- 20:57Speaker 4: Tan but I think that that the point is that
- 21:01Speaker 4: it's the shoten Freud of like being like, yes, this
- 21:04Speaker 4: guy has been wasting his life by trying to not
- 21:07Speaker 4: live his life correct. He's intentionally not living his life
- 21:11Speaker 4: and there should be some kind of comuppets and he
- 21:12Speaker 4: probably will get outlived by like a smoking construction worker.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Oh listen, you just get like a four to ten
- 21:20Speaker 2: Italian lady who drinks wine in olive oil every single day,
- 21:25Speaker 2: and like, what's the key to life? I got a
- 21:27Speaker 2: garden with tomatoes. Yeah, that's it, dude.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Some dude inch smokes like six packs day.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:34Speaker 5: I've been working out and well no, I mean I
- 21:37Speaker 5: I was gonna say, I've been drinking hard and smoking
- 21:41Speaker 5: weed and doing all these things in the event that
- 21:45Speaker 5: like there is a very healthy person inside of me
- 21:49Speaker 5: trying to keep me alive to one hundred and ten,
- 21:52Speaker 5: I'm trying.
- 21:52Speaker 3: To ward off.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Oh you're trying to do yeah, reverse it.
- 21:55Speaker 3: You know.
- 21:55Speaker 4: I don't want to live no reverse reverse agent.
- 21:58Speaker 5: Yeah, I need to be I'm I'm worried that I
- 22:01Speaker 5: am I am what Brian Johnson wants himself to be
- 22:05Speaker 5: fighting for, and that I'm trying to like counteracking the
- 22:09Speaker 5: boredom of fact.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Yeah, one ten is like you would see literally everyone
- 22:12Speaker 2: you know die, Yeah, yeah, every single person.
- 22:15Speaker 3: You know.
- 22:15Speaker 4: You'd see kids that are you see babies that are
- 22:17Speaker 4: being born right now die.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Yeah. It's crazy, dude.
- 22:21Speaker 5: If someone today, it was on our pod, who was
- 22:24Speaker 5: one hundred and ten years old, they'd be talking about like, yeah,
- 22:29Speaker 5: when my dad shipped off for World War One, you know,
- 22:32Speaker 5: we had no idea how long the conflict would be.
- 22:35Speaker 5: And I was doing so well. All my stock was
- 22:38Speaker 5: in standard oil and the Black Friday. I'll never forget
- 22:42Speaker 5: the bodies falling off at Wall Street, Like, dude, are
- 22:46Speaker 5: you just reciting Wikipedia?
- 22:48Speaker 4: They got caught in.
- 22:49Speaker 2: It would be like my grandson just passed seventy. Yeah.
- 22:55Speaker 1: I mean, but if the average age were to go
- 22:57Speaker 1: up to like what like one thirty, don't you think
- 23:00Speaker 1: that would be like a big problem. Yeah? Do you
- 23:03Speaker 1: think it'd be a problem? Yeah? Overpopulation? Yeah.
- 23:06Speaker 4: I also think social Security is going to be out
- 23:08Speaker 4: in like ten years, right, Like there's like no money
- 23:11Speaker 4: left over for us to get old.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Was just the boomers holding on for even more.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Yeah, owning more things? Yeah, it's pretty crazy. I mean,
- 23:19Speaker 1: if we were if say, humans were to start living
- 23:21Speaker 1: on average to one point thirty, do you think they
- 23:23Speaker 1: would like change the way that things work? Like, do
- 23:25Speaker 1: you think you would still go to school so young?
- 23:27Speaker 4: Retirement age would be like one hundred.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, that's probably the only thing that would change. Yeah,
- 23:32Speaker 1: you just have to work. You just have to work
- 23:34Speaker 1: way more. Yeah, that would suck.
- 23:35Speaker 2: If you retired at like sixty five and you lived
- 23:38Speaker 2: to one hundred and ten years plants that.
- 23:41Speaker 1: This is what life. I didn't work.
- 23:43Speaker 5: This is what I think is plaguing. This is one
- 23:46Speaker 5: of the big existential threats for a lot of countries
- 23:49Speaker 5: where the birth rate is declining. Yeah, South Korea is
- 23:52Speaker 5: that it's resulting in a top heavy elder class that
- 23:57Speaker 5: is not supported by a youthful working class. And you're
- 24:01Speaker 5: just gonna have like all these old horses out to
- 24:04Speaker 5: pasture roaming around, Like, why.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Is it anyone helping me?
- 24:08Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 24:08Speaker 3: Across the street.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you've.
- 24:10Speaker 4: Got to help each other. You gotta get on a
- 24:12Speaker 4: buddy system. Fucking get get like a chain. You ever
- 24:15Speaker 4: see the chains of like little kids holding on everybody.
- 24:18Speaker 5: I always cropped us those kids, Dude, I know that
- 24:22Speaker 5: they're going to blame each other.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Like when you.
- 24:24Speaker 2: See a parent with a leash on their kid, oh yeah,
- 24:28Speaker 2: you're like that's crazy. And then when you have kids,
- 24:30Speaker 2: you're like that makes sense.
- 24:31Speaker 3: You know.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Nick was a leash kid.
- 24:33Speaker 2: He was, Oh yeah, my kids like as there's sometimes
- 24:36Speaker 2: my kids will just like try to run into traffing
- 24:39Speaker 2: just like I'm just sprinting.
- 24:41Speaker 1: After that, it's like, damn, I wish I had a leash, right, yeah,
- 24:44Speaker 1: I mean I think get one of you know, every
- 24:46Speaker 1: parent should have one of those, like uh shot collars.
- 24:50Speaker 4: That too.
- 24:51Speaker 1: But I was gonna say one of those leashes retract
- 24:54Speaker 1: yeah yeah the little dogs, Yeah yeah, yeah, I get
- 24:59Speaker 1: the button.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Kids might wind up on the least.
- 25:01Speaker 1: You never know, you really don't.
- 25:03Speaker 2: So I was I was saying before, so you're you're
- 25:06Speaker 2: Your distract to the three year old was so good.
- 25:09Speaker 4: Yeah, three year old pushed my one year old, and
- 25:11Speaker 4: uh I got furious and wrote a distract because when
- 25:14Speaker 4: nanny almost fought thought that there.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Nanny so and Ronan and I had so. Ronan's nanny
- 25:20Speaker 2: was my kids nanny when we lived in Brooklyn. The best,
- 25:23Speaker 2: the absolute best. But she used to get into like
- 25:27Speaker 2: beefs at the park because like she is so like
- 25:30Speaker 2: territorial for the kids.
- 25:32Speaker 1: It's awesome.
- 25:33Speaker 4: I like that's what you want. Yeah, you want them
- 25:35Speaker 4: to be you. You wanted Nanny to be super territorial.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I'd be like, well, like why aren't you going to
- 25:39Speaker 2: that park? So that we don't go to that park anymore?
- 25:40Speaker 2: It's the dirty park, like we got we we like
- 25:44Speaker 2: I I saw Nanny as we got a little beef,
- 25:46Speaker 2: like we don't do that any Yeah, she runs it, dude,
- 25:49Speaker 2: She runs Brooklyn. Yeah, dude, she she keeps it to
- 25:52Speaker 2: like she have like a ton of clients.
- 25:54Speaker 1: No, no, she a time.
- 25:56Speaker 4: Yeah, but she has a but her her network of others,
- 26:00Speaker 4: so she could link up a play date like anywhere.
- 26:02Speaker 4: She has people in every building. She has people all
- 26:04Speaker 4: over the place. We'll meet up at this plaza this.
- 26:06Speaker 2: And she's been in Dumbo now because my kid, my firstborn,
- 26:10Speaker 2: was twenty nineteen, so she's been working in Dumbo. She
- 26:13Speaker 2: worked with my family all the way up till we
- 26:15Speaker 2: moved back Chicago and then Roan not far after that.
- 26:18Speaker 4: And there was someone else in media, I think between.
- 26:20Speaker 1: One at a time.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so like you passed her down to Rown. Yeah,
- 26:24Speaker 2: she was she was my family's nanny.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Yeah, oh yeah, how long will you have her for?
- 26:29Speaker 4: Probably till they're like for twenty five.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:32Speaker 5: I was gonna say, maybe maybe I'll have kids by then,
- 26:36Speaker 5: so I'll take you. Yeah, no, probably, not knowing the
- 26:38Speaker 5: way things are going in my life.
- 26:39Speaker 2: If we didn't move, we'd still have her. So, yeah,
- 26:42Speaker 2: she's the best, but she's I saw that disc track.
- 26:45Speaker 2: I was just like, this is funny.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Because you know her. Yeah, do you know what she's like?
- 26:50Speaker 4: People think that I was joking about it, and she doesn't.
- 26:52Speaker 4: She said that the other nanny called her like later
- 26:55Speaker 4: on to like apologize to like bend the knee. Yeah,
- 26:58Speaker 4: it's almost like the scene early on in the department
- 27:00Speaker 4: to where it's like, you know who you were messing
- 27:01Speaker 4: with this? She also, you can't quite hit Yeah.
- 27:07Speaker 2: I I never told her like explicitly, like hey, you know, uh,
- 27:12Speaker 2: just because like I keep my kids private. I never
- 27:14Speaker 2: told her like explicitly like hey, I'm public. You know,
- 27:16Speaker 2: she knew what I did for a living, but so
- 27:18Speaker 2: she when she kind of figured it out. I caught
- 27:20Speaker 2: her when someone asked, like what they were in my
- 27:23Speaker 2: house and I was in the other room and someone
- 27:26Speaker 2: was like, oh, what is what does Dan do for
- 27:28Speaker 2: a living? And She's just like, I don't know.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Hilarious.
- 27:39Speaker 4: I don't worry about it.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Butler's family, but like that's ride or Die. I was
- 27:45Speaker 2: so happy. I never asked for that, but it's fucking
- 27:48Speaker 2: awesome to have someone who's like got your back.
- 27:50Speaker 4: And she carried the same thing on for me. I'm like,
- 27:52Speaker 4: I'm not big cats level.
- 27:56Speaker 1: We don't talk about it. Sports Entertainment asked question, you're
- 28:00Speaker 1: gonna be in trouble?
- 28:02Speaker 3: She really does.
- 28:02Speaker 4: She's like cracking her knuckles.
- 28:04Speaker 1: What do you say when people ask you what you
- 28:06Speaker 1: do for work? Looking like a cab or.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Something, I say podcast? Usually I say I say I'm
- 28:11Speaker 2: in sports media. That works, Yeah, podcast for a sports
- 28:15Speaker 2: media company. Podcast is funny because you can. I like
- 28:17Speaker 2: saying podcasts because it's like a funny reaction where I
- 28:21Speaker 2: think people like when I say podcast and they don't
- 28:24Speaker 2: have any idea. The biggest loser, like I'm the biggest
- 28:29Speaker 2: loser possible. Oh and I love that. Yeah, I just
- 28:33Speaker 2: hear that right. Oh ship like the radio, Yeah, things
- 28:36Speaker 2: are going that bad?
- 28:37Speaker 4: Huh, just in your basement with a ham radio trying
- 28:41Speaker 4: to broadcast out.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Especially now that like everyone's got a podcast, like they
- 28:46Speaker 1: probably just assume it's like the bottom of the barrel.
- 28:49Speaker 5: Yeah, so funny, you tay comedian, Well, it really depends
- 28:53Speaker 5: on who's asking. If it's someone that I don't want
- 28:56Speaker 5: to have any follow up questions, I just say writer.
- 29:01Speaker 5: And then if it's someone I'm trying to sleep with
- 29:03Speaker 5: once I say comedian but it's.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Not going that well.
- 29:08Speaker 5: And then if it's someone I'm like keen on boy
- 29:12Speaker 5: or girl having friendship sleeping with, yeah, well you know, uh,
- 29:17Speaker 5: then it would be like, uh, work for an internet
- 29:20Speaker 5: media company called Barsol Sports that works.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Have you now, have you ever met someone who didn't
- 29:26Speaker 2: really know what barcel a famous person who didn't know
- 29:28Speaker 2: what Barsol Sports was and uttered the phrase, we'd love
- 29:32Speaker 2: to have you on our podcast because that is the
- 29:34Speaker 2: biggest loser phrase you could ever say in your entire life.
- 29:37Speaker 1: I've never felt worse.
- 29:38Speaker 4: I've saying that to someone me and me and Sas
- 29:40Speaker 4: did that to Casey Frye one time at the stand.
- 29:44Speaker 4: At the stand, we both saw Casey fry and we
- 29:46Speaker 4: both like Spash because we're both fans on our podcast, dud.
- 29:51Speaker 2: I said it to Beck Bennett once on a train
- 29:53Speaker 2: really and I felt like such a fucking loser.
- 29:56Speaker 4: But you should have shown him the Numbies.
- 29:58Speaker 1: That's actually yeah, but still someone who's in like traditional
- 30:01Speaker 1: met Yeah, he has no idea what this is. Yeah,
- 30:05Speaker 1: but now he does a podcast.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Yeah, have you have you ever like circled back on that?
- 30:11Speaker 2: No, and I actually we have a mutual friend. So
- 30:14Speaker 2: like I did the mutual friend thing on the train
- 30:16Speaker 2: and then I was like, we'd love to have you
- 30:17Speaker 2: the podcast, and I walked off. I was like, and
- 30:19Speaker 2: it was a train to Brooklyn, Like I was just
- 30:22Speaker 2: a walking Trump of just douchebag.
- 30:25Speaker 4: Do you know?
- 30:25Speaker 5: It just occurred to me because I just started did
- 30:28Speaker 5: you guys watch Jury Duty?
- 30:30Speaker 3: No?
- 30:30Speaker 1: Yes, I've heard.
- 30:31Speaker 5: Yeah, So the new season's out and it's a company retreat.
- 30:35Speaker 5: And initially I started watching and I was like, Ah,
- 30:37Speaker 5: this isn't anywhere near as good. And then by the
- 30:39Speaker 5: second episode, I was laughing so hard I couldn't even breathe. Yeah,
- 30:43Speaker 5: I don't know yet, but there were moments that really
- 30:46Speaker 5: killed me.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Had got to be pretty good, I know.
- 30:49Speaker 5: I just don't know if the characters are as compelling yet.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I haven't seen. What is the premise of the show.
- 30:54Speaker 5: It's the Truman Show basically where they hire all these
- 30:58Speaker 5: actors and it's all on a set and it's framed
- 31:01Speaker 5: as a documentary about American judicial system. And then there's
- 31:05Speaker 5: one guy who is not an actor and has no
- 31:07Speaker 5: idea that everyone else is fake.
- 31:10Speaker 1: And it's like the Joe Millionaire, remember that when they.
- 31:13Speaker 4: Did the Fake everybody's an actor but one person.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it sounds like that Nathan Fielders show, Nathan
- 31:19Speaker 1: for you, the other one, the new one. Rehearsal rehearsal, Yeah, kin,
- 31:26Speaker 1: not really an inverted rehearsal.
- 31:29Speaker 2: I don't think that's completely stopped. The conversation really confused.
- 31:35Speaker 2: It was confusing and it didn't fill. It's like we
- 31:40Speaker 2: had finished a puzzle and there was one piece left
- 31:42Speaker 2: and you had it and you're like, I got it,
- 31:44Speaker 2: and it was just like it didn't. It was just
- 31:45Speaker 2: like from a different puzzle. So it's like it's like
- 31:48Speaker 2: it's like the wire is like the wire.
- 31:53Speaker 4: It's easier when you listen on one point because we
- 31:55Speaker 4: get past the moment.
- 31:57Speaker 2: All right, But I gotta checked that out. I love
- 31:59Speaker 2: the premise of it. Yeah, I would love to do
- 32:01Speaker 2: that with someone here.
- 32:02Speaker 5: I know I was thinking about, is there a world
- 32:04Speaker 5: where we could recreate some version there's one.
- 32:06Speaker 4: Guy do it, one guy easily?
- 32:08Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely, Oh yeah, we could tell him to his face.
- 32:12Speaker 1: You're like, oh, I'm oh no.
- 32:14Speaker 4: I honestly, if you got panic, you should get panic
- 32:17Speaker 4: in it. That would be sick tread panic. Yeah, okay, guys,
- 32:21Speaker 4: let's talk about mountain dew. Summer is coming and I
- 32:25Speaker 4: cannot wait to fully indulge over this holiday weekend. Two
- 32:30Speaker 4: hundred and fifty years in America and since nineteen forty eight,
- 32:35Speaker 4: mountain Dew has been doing it. I absolutely love mountain Dew.
- 32:40Speaker 4: But even if you're out to the game, grilling out,
- 32:44Speaker 4: even celebrating in different countries, nothing goes better with all
- 32:47Speaker 4: of that than hanging with your friends with a refreshing
- 32:50Speaker 4: citrus kick of mountain Dew. Mountain Dew proudly born in
- 32:54Speaker 4: the foothills of Tennessee Roan.
- 32:57Speaker 3: You said you couldn't wait, I won't literally couldn't wait.
- 33:01Speaker 3: You didn't wait. I didn't wait.
- 33:03Speaker 5: I cracked it, and I took a gigantic gulp of
- 33:06Speaker 5: my refreshing, delicious, crisp Mountain Dew.
- 33:09Speaker 4: It's nostalgic but somehow futuristic. It has you wrapped in
- 33:14Speaker 4: a moment of time where you're both anticipating in the future,
- 33:18Speaker 4: enjoying the basking glow of the past, and being rooted
- 33:22Speaker 4: exactly where you are, and that's at the foot of
- 33:25Speaker 4: the foothills of those beautiful mountains on a can of
- 33:29Speaker 4: Mountain dew. I enjoyed the refreshing stitchers kick of Mountain Dew,
- 33:34Speaker 4: an American original grab a dow tasting great since forty eight, right,
- 33:39Speaker 4: sess right.
- 33:41Speaker 5: But the guy there's a guy, an actor in this
- 33:45Speaker 5: show who was the third member of Good Neighbor Stuff.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, the dark haired guy with curly hair.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:54Speaker 2: And I was like, I didn't get famous.
- 33:55Speaker 5: Yeah, And I was like, man, what an indictment on
- 33:59Speaker 5: his career year that he's not recognizable enough that they
- 34:04Speaker 5: felt comfortable putting him in a show where the entire
- 34:08Speaker 5: thing is that you're an actor but nobody knows who
- 34:10Speaker 5: you are.
- 34:11Speaker 2: But I think that the screening process has to be
- 34:14Speaker 2: so extensive for that one person with that one person
- 34:18Speaker 2: has the best life ever because they basically just have
- 34:21Speaker 2: no idea what is going on in the world.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Show up to work every day, just checked the fuck
- 34:26Speaker 1: they don't.
- 34:27Speaker 2: But they don't have Twitter, they don't have Instagram, they're
- 34:30Speaker 2: not watching any of the streaming platforms. They're like, you know,
- 34:33Speaker 2: they're putting on maybe the news, watching the ball game,
- 34:37Speaker 2: keep it on for the weather.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Yeah, like that guy rocks.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Yeah, those people give me faith in humanity.
- 34:44Speaker 4: Or and jealousy too. It's like, oh, imagine not caring
- 34:47Speaker 4: about like having no offense but no ambition to that level.
- 34:51Speaker 5: Yeah, but think about this though, like, don't you think
- 34:54Speaker 5: it's still a risk that that guy there's no way
- 34:59Speaker 5: that asked him. And is it screening process? Like have
- 35:02Speaker 5: you ever seen the sketch comedy show from like fifteen
- 35:05Speaker 5: years ago, Good Neighbor Stuff. Yeah, right, so there's a
- 35:10Speaker 5: chance that that one moment, yeah, could.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Undo Maybe that was and that's when the normal guy
- 35:16Speaker 1: he gets when he gave up the internet was when
- 35:18Speaker 1: Good Neighbor Stuff retired.
- 35:21Speaker 4: Favorite show.
- 35:22Speaker 2: I wonder, I wonder how extensive the scrip I imagine
- 35:25Speaker 2: they're screening like they're talking to the person's like friends
- 35:28Speaker 2: and family too. I wonder it's like CIA level.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, because like the possibility of it going wrong
- 35:35Speaker 1: would set them back like so much money to start
- 35:38Speaker 1: over halfway through the show, and the guys like, I
- 35:40Speaker 1: actually know all of you guys, I've seen all of
- 35:42Speaker 1: your work. Yeah yeah, whoa.
- 35:44Speaker 2: But there are a lot of people out there who
- 35:46Speaker 2: just lived their life. Yeah, I love them.
- 35:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I want it so bad. Some days I wish
- 35:53Speaker 4: there was like just a like I could take a
- 35:54Speaker 4: month of just doing nothing to completely reset. But it's impossible.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:59Speaker 4: Even if I have like three days off, I'm like, Okay,
- 36:01Speaker 4: I need to fucking start a new show or some
- 36:03Speaker 4: shit like that.
- 36:04Speaker 2: But I the best is like all every now and
- 36:07Speaker 2: then come across someone and they'll be like, oh, your
- 36:10Speaker 2: big cat and they won't say, like part of my
- 36:12Speaker 2: take barshol sports. I do a radio hit on Chicago
- 36:16Speaker 2: radio and they're like, oh, I love you on the radio.
- 36:18Speaker 2: That's the only thing they hear me from. Yeah, that's
- 36:20Speaker 2: that person rocks.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:22Speaker 2: They literally just get in their car, they turn on
- 36:23Speaker 2: the radio. It's like nineteen seventy five, and they go
- 36:27Speaker 2: to work. They get out of there, the weather for today,
- 36:29Speaker 2: they put the radio back on. If they missed my
- 36:31Speaker 2: thirty minute hit weekly, they just missed it. They don't
- 36:34Speaker 2: have any way of getting it.
- 36:37Speaker 4: Fuck, I missed it even Well there's always next week. Yeah,
- 36:40Speaker 4: I'll come back.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Next week nine hours a week of Big Cat. On
- 36:43Speaker 1: part of my.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Tape, when you talk about like describing what Barstool is,
- 36:48Speaker 4: I remember the bachelor party, the famous bachelor party I
- 36:51Speaker 4: went on with John may Or Jens's bachelor party, and
- 36:54Speaker 4: Bencham was like you so, like, yeah, like explain to
- 36:56Speaker 4: him what like Barstool is. And John Mayer's like, I
- 36:59Speaker 4: think I know. It is just like run by some
- 37:00Speaker 4: guy named Trent or something like that, because Trent's like
- 37:05Speaker 4: a big job. Mayor would like tweet at.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Him all the time and runs the whole place.
- 37:11Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think that was his perception. Since then,
- 37:13Speaker 4: you guys have all you both have become great friends
- 37:15Speaker 4: with him.
- 37:15Speaker 5: With Trent, yeah, we had a very funny DM exchange
- 37:23Speaker 5: where he messaged.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Me Okay that's what he did with me.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Yeah, well that makes sense.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Well, I mean yeah, I guess, but I was still like.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Hey, can I come on your podcast?
- 37:34Speaker 1: No, No, he was.
- 37:35Speaker 2: I was at the Sphere for a show and I
- 37:38Speaker 2: was like, I like tweeted a pick or did an
- 37:41Speaker 2: Instagram story of the show, and he was like, hey,
- 37:43Speaker 2: if you're here, come come by Saturday night and like
- 37:47Speaker 2: come hang out in the green room. That's cool, you know,
- 37:49Speaker 2: its just me and him.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Ate.
- 37:52Speaker 2: I thought I tied my mushrooms correctly, But the last
- 37:55Speaker 2: five minutes of me and John Mayer, I don't know,
- 37:58Speaker 2: crazy because I I was like, all right, he told
- 38:01Speaker 2: me to come by. I think he was like your tied,
- 38:04Speaker 2: and dude, it was like it was like it shows
- 38:06Speaker 2: it like seven thirty. He's like, yeah, like some glasses
- 38:09Speaker 2: got a black shirts, like come by at six. And
- 38:11Speaker 2: I was like, all right, great, so I ate all
- 38:13Speaker 2: my mushrooms at like I don't know, like five thirty
- 38:16Speaker 2: or yeah, five thirty. And then he was delayed a
- 38:19Speaker 2: little bit so that I didn't go into his green
- 38:20Speaker 2: room till like six fifteen. And then by like the
- 38:24Speaker 2: end of the twenty minutes, I was like, I get
- 38:27Speaker 2: the fuck out. I'm enjoying this, but I gotta get the.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Fuck out of here.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Get him back there, and it being just you guys same.
- 38:35Speaker 1: He's the man.
- 38:36Speaker 4: Yeah, just like a big room. It's probably like the
- 38:39Speaker 4: hockey team's locker room. It's like a huge room.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Dude, he's the fucking nicest guy ever and obviously one
- 38:45Speaker 2: of the best guitarists in the way.
- 38:47Speaker 4: Did he reach out to you about you like stealing
- 38:49Speaker 4: food from the Delta lounge or something like that, or
- 38:51Speaker 4: was that a different conversation.
- 38:52Speaker 3: That was exactly it?
- 38:53Speaker 4: Uh?
- 38:54Speaker 5: Was that I posted just an Instagram story. I should
- 38:57Speaker 5: have posted it as a full post.
- 38:59Speaker 4: You run it back.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I did about that.
- 39:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I was going in the Delta lounge and I
- 39:05Speaker 5: was I was showing how you can take food out
- 39:08Speaker 5: because they don't let you take food out by putting
- 39:10Speaker 5: it in the to go coffee cups because you're allowed
- 39:14Speaker 5: to take to go coffee out. And I was just
- 39:16Speaker 5: filling up chicken salad and then you put a top
- 39:18Speaker 5: on it, and I had like three coffees for the flight,
- 39:21Speaker 5: and I walked out with a full meal, and then
- 39:23Speaker 5: on the plane, I'm eating from one like chicken salad,
- 39:26Speaker 5: then like or zo and then.
- 39:28Speaker 4: Honestly, if you did that video again, it will go crazy.
- 39:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 39:36Speaker 5: But John Mayer reached out and he wrote something like
- 39:38Speaker 5: this is genius and uh, and I wrote back, like,
- 39:42Speaker 5: you know, we got to fight back somehow, and he
- 39:46Speaker 5: was like, I'm gonna play along because I fly private
- 39:48Speaker 5: but yeah, the big airlines there really And then I
- 39:51Speaker 5: was like, must be nice or something, and I said,
- 39:54Speaker 5: I was really trying.
- 39:54Speaker 3: I was really editing what I was. Oh, yeah, trying
- 39:57Speaker 3: really hard.
- 39:59Speaker 2: It might even be first I got. I got in
- 40:01Speaker 2: my own head when I started dming with that big time.
- 40:04Speaker 4: I was John Mayer, Yeah, you have to plan it
- 40:07Speaker 4: out before it's crazy.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Francis that like knowing you as well as I know you,
- 40:12Speaker 2: and like how you second guess these things like how
- 40:14Speaker 2: the fuck did you win the Internet Invitational? Like that
- 40:18Speaker 2: is the mental mentor game, the mental fortitude to win
- 40:21Speaker 2: a golf tournament like that.
- 40:23Speaker 4: You get a golf shot, yeah, have one crack at it.
- 40:26Speaker 4: There's no notesapping in a golf shot like you're a
- 40:29Speaker 4: really good golfer. How that does make it way funnyer.
- 40:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll get to that. I want to read you this,
- 40:38Speaker 5: it's quick. He wrote, the food in the Starbucks Cup's
- 40:41Speaker 5: idea is incredible, a brilliant engineering move. And I wrote, John,
- 40:45Speaker 5: next time we're at the buffet and the Delta Sky Club,
- 40:48Speaker 5: I'll cover for you. He wrote, can't wait. I do
- 40:51Speaker 5: worry you may have blown the lid parentheses. Pun off this,
- 40:56Speaker 5: and then I wrote, and I don't think he was
- 40:58Speaker 5: expecting it to get this far. I wrote, Delta Jack
- 41:01Speaker 5: to their status thresholds, to nearly unreachable markers.
- 41:04Speaker 3: The genies been out of the bottle.
- 41:06Speaker 5: I can't be the only moron trying to earn back
- 41:09Speaker 5: my annual credit card fee with Rice Peeloff. And he goes,
- 41:13Speaker 5: I'm gonna try and carry on with this conversation as
- 41:15Speaker 5: best I can, seeing as I fly private. I don't
- 41:19Speaker 5: know how much a gallon of milk costs. I'm a
- 41:21Speaker 5: real piece of shit. And how about those lines at
- 41:24Speaker 5: the gate? And I said, about time you come clean,
- 41:28Speaker 5: you talented, entirely deserving motherfucker. Enjoy those tashimi platters and
- 41:33Speaker 5: cold press juices. Talk soon, man, like I wanted out
- 41:37Speaker 5: of the converse.
- 41:39Speaker 1: That's good. That's good.
- 41:41Speaker 5: And then he wrote fast friends, and he followed me
- 41:44Speaker 5: love that, And then he messaged me again. He showed
- 41:46Speaker 5: me he sent me someone else's post of a guitar
- 41:49Speaker 5: case that had like their like their luggage, like their
- 41:53Speaker 5: clothes or something. Yeah, like someone had packed a guitar
- 41:55Speaker 5: case to pack and then put luggage in it. So
- 41:58Speaker 5: he was like, really trying to be friends.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Yeah, you got and then what happened? You come fronts
- 42:03Speaker 1: with them?
- 42:04Speaker 5: And then I once wrote Roan said you're coming in Wednesday.
- 42:08Speaker 5: This may be unfounded, and then I wrote, never mind.
- 42:11Speaker 5: He was just kidding And.
- 42:14Speaker 1: That's the dagger. That's that's the end right there.
- 42:18Speaker 5: He actually wrote back to me because I mentioned him
- 42:20Speaker 5: about watches, that's brutal. I said, I think I need
- 42:23Speaker 5: a paddock. Unless you tell me I don't.
- 42:26Speaker 1: That's crazy. And he goes, even if I told you,
- 42:29Speaker 1: it's crazy, DM.
- 42:30Speaker 5: And he goes, even if he's a watch guy, like
- 42:33Speaker 5: watch guy, Well, now you're gonna walk it back.
- 42:36Speaker 3: He goes, well you will when you read what he
- 42:38Speaker 3: wrote back to me.
- 42:40Speaker 5: He goes, even if I told you you didn't, it
- 42:42Speaker 5: wouldn't take away the compulsion. The sickness is.
- 42:45Speaker 3: In you now. And I didn't respond.
- 42:47Speaker 4: Wow, and did you get the protect Philip?
- 42:50Speaker 3: No, I don't have the money for that.
- 42:53Speaker 4: He doesn't know that though.
- 42:54Speaker 5: Got to win another Internet invitational. Yeah, so the question
- 42:59Speaker 5: is how did I win that? Good question, big cat.
- 43:01Speaker 2: No, it's just crazy, like you were, you're the mental
- 43:05Speaker 2: fortitude it takes when you do second guess everything else
- 43:08Speaker 2: in life.
- 43:09Speaker 3: I know.
- 43:11Speaker 5: I do, But I would say that like I was
- 43:15Speaker 5: the the you know, of the people in there that
- 43:19Speaker 5: were like Frankie, Me and Beef were the most affected
- 43:24Speaker 5: because the other three are like competitive golfers. And I
- 43:31Speaker 5: got lucky to have made the least damning mistakes at
- 43:35Speaker 5: the most critical junctures. It's not because I outplayed anyone.
- 43:39Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's not making a mistakes like Frankie lost
- 43:42Speaker 2: because he made a mistake.
- 43:44Speaker 5: Fine, But like if you look at some of the
- 43:46Speaker 5: shots that I hit when it was really at the end,
- 43:51Speaker 5: I just got I got lucky that they didn't end
- 43:53Speaker 5: up in worse spots.
- 43:55Speaker 1: That's that's part of the game.
- 43:56Speaker 5: Fine, But like it's not as if I was playing
- 43:58Speaker 5: for the missus that I hit.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Just take the company.
- 44:01Speaker 3: I will.
- 44:02Speaker 5: I appreciate it, I will, and I appreciate it. I
- 44:05Speaker 5: also was drinking a little bit.
- 44:07Speaker 2: That's smart, not too much, yeah, but just that level
- 44:10Speaker 2: of like calm your.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Nerves to bata block a little bit, yep.
- 44:14Speaker 5: And I remember I yelled to Wit on like thirteen
- 44:18Speaker 5: because we're passing the place where you like the bar
- 44:21Speaker 5: kind of halfway house, and I was like, Wit, I
- 44:24Speaker 5: need a Can you get me a Double John Daily,
- 44:28Speaker 5: which is Arnold Palmer with vodka in it. He's like, yeah,
- 44:31Speaker 5: I got you, Bud. But he had bet on the
- 44:34Speaker 5: other team against Dave and I think he made it
- 44:37Speaker 5: a quad and it was the shoot.
- 44:40Speaker 1: On the reverse.
- 44:41Speaker 2: She made nothing in it.
- 44:42Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I would have been smart, but I was like.
- 44:44Speaker 4: Like an adderall in it.
- 44:48Speaker 5: He's trying to get me too drunk to be able
- 44:50Speaker 5: to butt in some squad.
- 44:52Speaker 1: I don't even know they made that.
- 44:53Speaker 4: I've never heard of.
- 44:55Speaker 5: It's just vodka with a splash of lemonade and iced
- 44:58Speaker 5: ty at the top.
- 44:59Speaker 1: That's make like the mimosas where they have like the
- 45:01Speaker 1: spray thing for the for the orange. Did you did
- 45:06Speaker 1: you do a video of your invitation?
- 45:08Speaker 3: No?
- 45:09Speaker 1: I haven't gotten mine. Got lost.
- 45:11Speaker 4: It would be awesome, Yeah, I agree, I don't. I
- 45:15Speaker 4: don't know.
- 45:16Speaker 5: He hasn't put his flag out there enough about golf.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Well, we're not sass. And I teamed up on the
- 45:24Speaker 2: Ryder Cup maybe the worst.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the thing is like I can swing the
- 45:28Speaker 1: club well, and I'm like, can make contact, but if
- 45:32Speaker 1: you get me out there by myself, like you've only played,
- 45:34Speaker 1: you've only seen me play when we play together and
- 45:37Speaker 1: you're like hit a six iron here pitching well, me
- 45:40Speaker 1: and him together, Oh my god, it was so funny.
- 45:42Speaker 1: You can't keep the ball on the fan.
- 45:43Speaker 3: We were we were.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Literally like pumping each other up if we just got
- 45:47Speaker 2: the ball going forward. Yeah, that became our close before that.
- 45:56Speaker 4: Awesome or something going backwards.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Yeah, there were a couple.
- 45:59Speaker 6: I mean that that way said, I won't go back
- 46:04Speaker 6: and watch the one where you hit the slow swing
- 46:07Speaker 6: because it was so bad.
- 46:10Speaker 3: That's the hardest I've ever seen Dave last.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm trying. I'm gonna try to get better because I.
- 46:16Speaker 4: But what's your golf rules?
- 46:18Speaker 2: Nine holes? Okay, so I'm only playing nine holes this like,
- 46:21Speaker 2: because that's the problem golf. It's like five hours. There's
- 46:24Speaker 2: so much time.
- 46:25Speaker 1: Especially if you don't play well in the first half,
- 46:27Speaker 1: you know the second half is gonna.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Go worse, right, right, nine holes? Uh has to be
- 46:32Speaker 2: walking and has to be within fly has to.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Be walking fifteen minutes of your house. Yeah, it's close. Yeah.
- 46:42Speaker 2: No, there's just one public course. It's actually a beautiful
- 46:46Speaker 2: public course in Chicago. It's right on the water. Yeah,
- 46:49Speaker 2: but uh, yeah.
- 46:50Speaker 1: It's just that.
- 46:50Speaker 4: So who's laughing?
- 46:51Speaker 1: No, yeah, we don't.
- 46:52Speaker 3: Got one guy wants to get home to his family.
- 46:54Speaker 2: You're just like, yeah, no, I found I dropped my
- 46:57Speaker 2: kids off at school and now they're out of school.
- 46:59Speaker 2: But I dropped my kids off at school. Tea off
- 47:01Speaker 2: at eight in the office by ten fifteen. Oh, that's
- 47:04Speaker 2: perfect amount of golf. Yeah that's great. And nine holes.
- 47:06Speaker 2: You finished nine holes. You're like, I could. I wish
- 47:09Speaker 2: I was playing more golf. I'm like, this is the
- 47:12Speaker 2: worst experience of my life. Yeah, done so Yeah, and
- 47:14Speaker 2: walking because I like, I don't know, get some steps in.
- 47:18Speaker 3: Yeah, but it is good to walk. I write that
- 47:19Speaker 3: I just didn't.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:21Speaker 5: So, just for reference, I played forty five holes on
- 47:25Speaker 5: Saturday and thirty six on Sunday.
- 47:28Speaker 2: Jesus Christ, what why that's so?
- 47:31Speaker 5: Because I love it? You played eighty one holes. I'm
- 47:33Speaker 5: absolutely obsessed. I love golf. Yeah, my favorite thing in
- 47:37Speaker 5: the world.
- 47:38Speaker 4: So he played nine times as much as you would
- 47:40Speaker 4: in an ideal day over two days.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:43Speaker 5: Listen, last summer, my buddy and I tried to play
- 47:45Speaker 5: one hundred holes in a day, and the only reason
- 47:46Speaker 5: we couldn't we played ninety holes in one day.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Was because of.
- 47:50Speaker 4: Too many quads?
- 47:51Speaker 3: Yeah, how so much golf?
- 47:54Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 47:55Speaker 3: We were stopped for lightning a number of times.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't. It's just the times of like being like,
- 48:01Speaker 2: all right, I'm leaving the house. I'll be seeing six hours.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't do it. You would do.
- 48:06Speaker 5: If you want more golf, all you need to do
- 48:10Speaker 5: is get divorced. You have to give my kids away
- 48:14Speaker 5: horribly in the child Uh you know who gets the kids?
- 48:19Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll be in tiptop shape by the Invitational.
- 48:22Speaker 2: I did get my kids into golf lessons because I
- 48:24Speaker 2: was like, that's the one thing, like I wish sass
- 48:27Speaker 2: when he swings, even though he doesn't play like you're
- 48:29Speaker 2: like that he knew he learned how to golf when
- 48:32Speaker 2: he was a kid.
- 48:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I did.
- 48:33Speaker 2: Like you can tell someone who knew who learned at
- 48:35Speaker 2: a young age and they have the ability to like
- 48:38Speaker 2: it's like riding a bike, and not that they'll be
- 48:40Speaker 2: like as good as they were, but they just know
- 48:42Speaker 2: the things to do.
- 48:44Speaker 4: I don't know anything, like it's a natural motion.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Yeah, so I want my kids to have that.
- 48:49Speaker 1: I don't know when I got like a good swing,
- 48:50Speaker 1: because when I was in high school, my coach told me,
- 48:53Speaker 1: he was like, your swing is terrible. Like he literally
- 48:56Speaker 1: told me the job to make it better. Oh no,
- 49:00Speaker 1: not on this golf coaching. Like the golf coach in
- 49:03Speaker 1: high school, their only job is to just drive you
- 49:05Speaker 1: to the matches. We don't have a bus, they have
- 49:07Speaker 1: a van, so the coach has to drive the van.
- 49:11Speaker 1: The only reason he's not giving you any advice.
- 49:14Speaker 5: Ironically, my freshman year high school lacrosse coach, his job
- 49:18Speaker 5: when he wasn't coaching was bus driver, and so sometimes
- 49:23Speaker 5: he would drive our bus when we didn't have a
- 49:25Speaker 5: bus driver, and he knew where everything was. Oh, I'm
- 49:29Speaker 5: sure like the switches, he was, you know, smooth.
- 49:32Speaker 3: That's great.
- 49:32Speaker 4: Yeah, fucking dream what.
- 49:34Speaker 2: I don't know when this is coming out, But what
- 49:36Speaker 2: was New York City like for the next run? Felt
- 49:39Speaker 2: like it must have been just everyone was on cloud nine.
- 49:42Speaker 4: It was pretty sick.
- 49:43Speaker 1: Yeah were you guys? There were you guys in the city.
- 49:46Speaker 4: No, I was there when they won it, but also
- 49:48Speaker 4: like I was at home, I was like about to
- 49:50Speaker 4: go outside and bang pots.
- 49:52Speaker 2: And but even still like day to day, it must
- 49:54Speaker 2: have been just awesome.
- 49:55Speaker 4: Day to day was pretty sick. I was talking to
- 49:57Speaker 4: Tommy and Glenny about it because they're both like fringe
- 50:00Speaker 4: Nick fans, and I was like, what's your guys perspective
- 50:03Speaker 4: about people from like Ohio or Minnesota that moved to
- 50:08Speaker 4: New York and are huge Knicks fans. And Tommy was like, yeah,
- 50:12Speaker 4: I think it's awesome. It makes the parties more fun.
- 50:14Speaker 4: And Glenny's like, I fucking hate it. He basically was like,
- 50:18Speaker 4: I don't want anybody else having fun. Like everybody else
- 50:21Speaker 4: who's like jumping on this bandwagon is like undeserved. It
- 50:26Speaker 4: means more to me, and these guys are just riding
- 50:28Speaker 4: my coach.
- 50:28Speaker 2: Every championship team ever has a band yeah, or it's
- 50:32Speaker 2: so funny that we do this every time a team wins.
- 50:34Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, when a team wins and there's parties
- 50:38Speaker 2: every night, people are gonna be like, Hey, that party's fun.
- 50:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to go to a part what's the alternative?
- 50:42Speaker 4: If you like the party, you're gonna want to go
- 50:44Speaker 4: to the party. And well, I didn't want to root
- 50:47Speaker 4: for this team, so I'm not going to go outside.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Actually, a Trailblazers fan, did.
- 50:51Speaker 2: You guys see did you guys see Elmo on a
- 50:53Speaker 2: on a they put Elmo on a uh no, I
- 50:56Speaker 2: don't think so on a stick on a spirit.
- 50:59Speaker 3: What is it?
- 50:59Speaker 1: What is it called? What is it a steak? Yeah?
- 51:01Speaker 2: They put it almost head on a steak. I am
- 51:04Speaker 2: because he almost said before the series, like, hope both
- 51:06Speaker 2: teams have fun, and everyone's like, fuck you, Elbow, you're
- 51:09Speaker 2: a real New Yorker, Like you turn your back on
- 51:12Speaker 2: put it on it just said Trader and it was
- 51:15Speaker 2: almost head on a stick.
- 51:17Speaker 4: My favorite video from the last game was this Spurs
- 51:20Speaker 4: fan who fought everybody.
- 51:22Speaker 3: Everybody.
- 51:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think I saw that.
- 51:25Speaker 4: What it was like this jacked up deebo dude who
- 51:28Speaker 4: was like it looked like when there's like a shark
- 51:31Speaker 4: and then a school of fish and any direction he goes.
- 51:35Speaker 4: The whole school like gives him like a birth of
- 51:37Speaker 4: like ten feet and like he's moving a crown and
- 51:41Speaker 4: like people are sucker punching him trying to like trick
- 51:43Speaker 4: in New York. It was in New York. It looked
- 51:45Speaker 4: like people were saying he was at the game. It
- 51:46Speaker 4: looked like Penn Station.
- 51:48Speaker 5: It looked like it was in the garden. But the
- 51:52Speaker 5: sort of the concourse area. I saw that. I loved it.
- 51:55Speaker 5: I have a question, though, which is you know, the
- 51:58Speaker 5: the idea of rooting for the team if you've transplanted
- 52:02Speaker 5: into that city. So I remember, I have friends from
- 52:04Speaker 5: college that moved to Seattle to work for Amazon, I
- 52:08Speaker 5: think from like the Midwest or something like that, and
- 52:11Speaker 5: after a few years, naturally they became Seahawks fans. Do
- 52:14Speaker 5: you think there is more legitimacy based on the geographic
- 52:20Speaker 5: sort of like marooning, right, who else? If you moved
- 52:24Speaker 5: to Seattle, you're gonna root for the Seahawks.
- 52:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean if you're there for the rest of
- 52:29Speaker 2: your life too, you know.
- 52:30Speaker 5: What I mean, or like you're there for a little bit,
- 52:32Speaker 5: like there's no to go to continue to root for
- 52:36Speaker 5: the Knicks if you're or like you're so far away
- 52:40Speaker 5: you're not gonna go to any games.
- 52:42Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 52:43Speaker 5: I thought that that seemed natural, and somehow, if you're
- 52:47Speaker 5: from Ohio, you moved to New York City, you become
- 52:49Speaker 5: a Knicks fan.
- 52:50Speaker 2: I think people are more mad about the celebrity nick fans,
- 52:52Speaker 2: because that's like that.
- 52:54Speaker 1: People are really mad about Taylor Swift.
- 52:57Speaker 4: You are furious at Haley Bieber.
- 53:00Speaker 1: It's like, who else is gonna buy the ticket? It's
- 53:02Speaker 1: just a million dollars.
- 53:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like the coolest experience you could Like, if
- 53:06Speaker 2: you have billions of dollars, there's only so many cool experiences.
- 53:09Speaker 1: You could do. Also, like that's who should be sitting
- 53:12Speaker 1: court side. No one wants to see some fucking Joe
- 53:15Speaker 1: Schmo's coming down sitting courtside at the NBA.
- 53:18Speaker 2: There always is some Joe.
- 53:20Speaker 1: He's like super rich and everyone's like that guy, did
- 53:22Speaker 1: you see the more money than everyone else?
- 53:24Speaker 4: The person sitting next to Timothy shallowmet and uh Kylie
- 53:28Speaker 4: Jenner looks like a blutman brother. He just no way,
- 53:32Speaker 4: I don't think that's like he's like a rich son
- 53:34Speaker 4: of somebody and he just has like long hair wearing
- 53:37Speaker 4: like a sweatsuit. It makes it it's actually fucking hilarious.
- 53:41Speaker 2: But uh yeah, I mean I think it's like that's
- 53:43Speaker 2: the next It just looks awesome, Like I because obviously
- 53:46Speaker 2: living in New York.
- 53:46Speaker 4: It's awesome. It is awesome. Anybody should be invited to
- 53:49Speaker 4: the party. It's a fucking party the city.
- 53:53Speaker 1: Like, not only should you be able to like inherit
- 53:55Speaker 1: the fandom, like you should be able to be a fan.
- 53:57Speaker 1: I think you should also be able to like inherit
- 53:59Speaker 1: all of the suffering they went through and refer to
- 54:02Speaker 1: it as like we went through. Yeah, that's my big thing.
- 54:05Speaker 2: Fifty three was fifty three years.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been saying to everyone, everyone in New York,
- 54:09Speaker 1: I can't believe how long we waited for this.
- 54:11Speaker 4: It's like being an old man being like we needed
- 54:13Speaker 4: the rain.
- 54:13Speaker 3: He's lived in New York for four years.
- 54:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I mean Queens now, so it's a
- 54:19Speaker 1: lot of way you moved. Oh yeah, a lot of culture.
- 54:22Speaker 2: So wait I missed that.
- 54:24Speaker 3: He moved to Queens Queens now.
- 54:26Speaker 4: He lives at LaGuardia at La we got an apartment
- 54:29Speaker 4: at Yeah.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Wait, why did you move that far? I just moved.
- 54:34Speaker 1: I mean I wanted to save money. I'm not I
- 54:35Speaker 1: don't really do a lot of shit anymore. You know,
- 54:38Speaker 1: do you have a bigger place? Yeah? And way cheaper? Nice? Yeah?
- 54:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you did live in the most expensive
- 54:44Speaker 2: place in the whole city, in the whole world.
- 54:46Speaker 1: Yeah. I couldn't keep it was like to Japan and.
- 54:51Speaker 3: His Monico.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I mean I was like I looked on Zillo just
- 54:54Speaker 1: like for kicks to see like maybe there's something around me.
- 54:57Speaker 1: And it's like the apartments around my apartment were like
- 55:00Speaker 1: thirty grand a month. Yeah, it's like there's nothing here.
- 55:04Speaker 1: Yeah that parents would be like, why don't you just
- 55:06Speaker 1: buy your place? Like, well, do you guys have fifteen
- 55:09Speaker 1: million dollar?
- 55:11Speaker 4: Wait?
- 55:11Speaker 1: So what?
- 55:12Speaker 3: So what?
- 55:13Speaker 1: Uh so has it changed anything? Like now, what's the commute?
- 55:17Speaker 1: Take the train? It's pretty easy. It's like twenty five minutes. Yeah,
- 55:20Speaker 1: it's quick. You're good.
- 55:21Speaker 3: We don't see them, yeah.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Oh, they see me multiple times a week for hours
- 55:25Speaker 1: at a time. It's more than I see most people.
- 55:28Speaker 3: I would say, it's a coin flip befo. We're going
- 55:30Speaker 3: to see you.
- 55:30Speaker 4: And that's also at work.
- 55:32Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll be hanging out a lot before that.
- 55:35Speaker 3: Yeah, they were trying to you and I used to
- 55:36Speaker 3: play pool like twice a week.
- 55:38Speaker 1: You talk about this. This was five years ago.
- 55:40Speaker 3: I missed those days.
- 55:41Speaker 4: I was out pool holes. Yeah, because you're not at them.
- 55:44Speaker 1: I don't see I'm not getting any invites any pool halls.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Do you have any relationships in your life that is
- 55:49Speaker 2: like like everyone with you where we just want to
- 55:52Speaker 2: be your friend and you just push us off, Like
- 55:56Speaker 2: is there Do you have a friend who's like you're
- 55:57Speaker 2: trying to hang out with and they're.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Like nah, Like I have friends that are like that. Yeah,
- 56:01Speaker 1: definitely to push you off. Yeah, but not in like
- 56:04Speaker 1: uh no, I guess in the same way that I
- 56:06Speaker 1: need to them, where it's not like a disrespect thing. Yeah,
- 56:09Speaker 1: I don't like you.
- 56:09Speaker 2: I would just love it if like Sas had like
- 56:11Speaker 2: a friend.
- 56:15Speaker 5: They just turned into it's like it becomes like a
- 56:17Speaker 5: withdrawal off and then they don't talk to each other.
- 56:21Speaker 5: But more importantly, he he his best friend starts reaching
- 56:26Speaker 5: Oh yeah, and he doesn't like it.
- 56:29Speaker 2: I was listening to that episode Bo's texting him. Yeah, yeah,
- 56:33Speaker 2: he the cap with the triangle.
- 56:35Speaker 4: Yeah, he told Tess he's not allowed talks him too
- 56:37Speaker 4: hard about his Birmingham apartment.
- 56:39Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a homiehopper though he's just taking taking friends.
- 56:43Speaker 3: Well, he knows, he knows.
- 56:45Speaker 5: I'll give him what he doesn't, which is friendship support,
- 56:48Speaker 5: love book recommendations, outdoor activities, whatever.
- 56:52Speaker 1: I'll tell you what my theory is. He he never
- 56:55Speaker 1: listened to the podcast ever, Right, he was never listening
- 56:58Speaker 1: to it. He knew we would talk about him occasionally,
- 57:00Speaker 1: but he wasn't really listening. He got his first like
- 57:02Speaker 1: nine to five started listening. First episode he listened to
- 57:05Speaker 1: was the one where we were talking about I think
- 57:07Speaker 1: it's called Birmingham the episode and then he texted me
- 57:10Speaker 1: and was like, I can't say all that stuff like
- 57:12Speaker 1: that was too much whatever. Now he's listening to every single.
- 57:16Speaker 2: Episode now right now?
- 57:18Speaker 1: Yes, I think now he likes hearing us talk about
- 57:21Speaker 1: Like it went from being like, don't talk about me,
- 57:23Speaker 1: to us not talking about him, to him being like
- 57:26Speaker 1: what the ip they talk about? Why are they talking about?
- 57:29Speaker 1: And now he's text because he knows he's just gonna
- 57:30Speaker 1: get on the podcast. Put me on a group chat
- 57:31Speaker 1: with him?
- 57:32Speaker 3: I will definitely.
- 57:34Speaker 5: He and I talked a lot, right, I have more
- 57:36Speaker 5: text exchanges with him than I do with Harry.
- 57:39Speaker 1: I haven't even told you guys about all right, did
- 57:41Speaker 1: I tell you about his friend in Birmingham the son
- 57:43Speaker 1: of a boy dad listener?
- 57:44Speaker 3: Oh? Sorry, I thought he was you said friends.
- 57:46Speaker 1: So after after that whole episode, he got a bunch
- 57:51Speaker 1: of dms from like people that listen to the podcast
- 57:53Speaker 1: being like I actually live here, like you know let's
- 57:56Speaker 1: go hang out. He's got this one kid that he
- 57:59Speaker 1: hangs out with all the time and they just listen.
- 58:01Speaker 1: They just talk about the podcast and like.
- 58:03Speaker 2: He lives in Birmingham now, Yeah, not amazing in England.
- 58:07Speaker 1: No, No, Alabama, Alabama, because.
- 58:10Speaker 5: They amazing how much the world can come together when
- 58:15Speaker 5: you just keep your arms open.
- 58:17Speaker 2: Yeah, so he's got he's got a friend through this podcast.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Got a friend through the pod.
- 58:20Speaker 3: Listen.
- 58:21Speaker 1: People are just looking for community. Yeah, they are sounds
- 58:25Speaker 1: like a good guy.
- 58:25Speaker 2: So there are they doing like Son of a Boy
- 58:27Speaker 2: Dad meet ups down.
- 58:28Speaker 1: The pretty much.
- 58:28Speaker 4: Yeah, they just got together and listen in silence. They
- 58:31Speaker 4: just sit and neat a knee with each other and
- 58:33Speaker 4: listen to the.
- 58:33Speaker 2: What's that guy's name? We gotta start mentioning him.
- 58:35Speaker 1: His name is Joe. Joe.
- 58:36Speaker 4: Joe.
- 58:41Speaker 1: Joe was the man. They shout out Joe. They go
- 58:44Speaker 1: on like fishing trips together, Joe and fishing charters. They
- 58:48Speaker 1: were up in like Tennessee yesterday. They drove up.
- 58:50Speaker 2: Oh they're traveling.
- 58:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I wonder what they listened to on the way.
- 58:54Speaker 1: Son of a Boy Dad.
- 58:55Speaker 4: Of course they listened to some classics.
- 58:58Speaker 3: Joe.
- 58:59Speaker 1: I don't think you don't know, you never know, right,
- 59:02Speaker 1: I mean new friends, I got to I mean, I'm
- 59:05Speaker 1: gonna have to meet this guy. You know, I'll make
- 59:07Speaker 1: sure nothing funny's going to him.
- 59:09Speaker 4: You gotta vet him.
- 59:10Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys aren't fucking are you?
- 59:13Speaker 3: Do? You know that?
- 59:14Speaker 1: Uh?
- 59:15Speaker 3: This made me think of this Lincoln. Right.
- 59:17Speaker 5: So the reason that there are rumors that Lincoln was
- 59:21Speaker 5: hell homosexual because.
- 59:22Speaker 2: His wife was a bitch, right, No, well she.
- 59:26Speaker 5: Was insane, yeah, but more because when he was a
- 59:31Speaker 5: lawyer before he was a politician, they used to do
- 59:34Speaker 5: these circuit court. They would run the circuit as lawyers,
- 59:38Speaker 5: and they would just like go to different towns and
- 59:40Speaker 5: whatever in Illinois, and he'd be traveling with other young
- 59:44Speaker 5: lawyers and it was completely customary to share a bed
- 59:48Speaker 5: in a boarding house. Oh and so he would for
- 59:53Speaker 5: constantly be in like a queen bed with another man.
- 59:56Speaker 4: A queen bed.
- 59:59Speaker 3: Spelled with a K.
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: You know, I never knew.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: You probably know this, Francis. Uh that like Kennedy had
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: a gay best friend who just lusted after him for
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: his entire life.
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: Oh my god, that probably was so nice for Kennedy to. Yeah,
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: somebody like he was.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: Inner circle, like Kennedy, but like they went to boarding
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: school together, and I think he like professed his love
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: to JFK when they're in boarding school, and JFK.
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: Was like, naughty, you can shut off, but it's not.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: Love slamming chips, but you can hang out with me.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: And then he just like was part of, you know,
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: the presidential campaigns, and I think he was even part
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: of like his.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: Trust after it's not gay.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: If I don't come, I mean JFK being like, I
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: get migraines if I don't come. What a pick up?
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: That is?
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: That what he said?
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: Chicks like if I don't get off, like you're gonna
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: the world is.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: A stand that migraines love Brandon specifically. They treat it
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: like they're going through fucking war.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: Brandon's my or just he just doesn't drink water. Yeah,
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: he drinks one.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: If I'm out in the sun for too long, I
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: get to hang Yeah. It's like yeah everyone on Earth
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: getting yeah right right.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: If I'm standing for too long, I get tired.
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: Yeah, my grain, man, I'll tell you, having like sixteen
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: drinks in the night, I'll get always.
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: After you're hungover.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: Bring him went to the doctor, and the doctor prescribed
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: him water.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Yeah. They're like, here's a cup of water.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: Drink that, and he's like, wow, it's a miracle truck.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Is there is cha drinking at all? Or is he
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: still is?
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: I think he's he drinks a little bit.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: But he had that time like during the case race, right.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Yeah, he didn't actually have so he we did the
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: case race, He drank sixteen drinks, fell asleep on the
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: basketball court. Were you in that case race? Yeah, fell
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: sleep on the basketball court. Woke up the next day
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: and like I think his Apple watch was like irregular harp. Yeah,
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: went to the hospital. It was like I had a
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: heart attack. And they're like, I think you just are
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: really drunk in Heaven's eye.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Yea, waking up on a basketball court and then wondering
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: why your heart's right. Probably like with like sting face.
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: Poorly washed off face paint, it's even worse than actually
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: having the face paint on, just like trying to get
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: a shadow of face paint around your eyes would.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Be like going into like doing the case race and
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: then going to the bathroom and then cat You're like,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: oh my god, I forgot I had that on. Yeah,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Like seeing the Joker you're like, oh, do.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: You guys get routine physicals like I do?
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Like I probably do.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: Well, No, that's a it's a pretty straightforward.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Yes, you get one once a year, right, Yeah, so yeah,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: like I never know. The thing is, I never want.
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: To probably get routine.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: My doctor. When I call to get prescriptions filled, they
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: make get the God if I haven't gotten before they
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: filled the prescription. So I got to go in.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: I started doing this. You might do this, for instance,
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: the skin, the skin, I've.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: Been doing that. Yeah.
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: Yeah, but that's crazy, I know, because that's the most
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: that's the most revealing and vulnerable you'll ever.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and they just they look at every piece of
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: your skin to like, and you're supposed to do it
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: every year. My wife fammy do this and then they
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: credit card card swiped me. She opened up my fucking
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: ash cheeks.
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: Dude. I used to have to do this as a
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: little kid because I had like some some weird moles
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: that they got that I took off, and so I'd
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: have to go in every year and show all my moles.
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: And I have a I have a mole on the
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: back of my ball sack. So they get done checking
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: me and every time that they leave, I'd have to
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: be like, I actually have a mole on my ball sack.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: You also have to check and I have to like
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: pull up my ball sacks like lifting an apron. Yeah,
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: I've done yet. I thought you were done. My little
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: boy down here that.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: I had that I didn't.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: I had a lapse in physicals probably for about fifteen years.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: And I went back for the first time and they
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: were like, you know, you go in, the nurse takes
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: your weight, height, all that stuff, and then she's like,
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: all right, you can get changed. I got naked and
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: then the doctor came in and was like what.
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: He's like, oh, from part of my tape, are you
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: fully naked?
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Yes? And he's like and he closed the door. He's like, oh,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: And then I realized they had left me a robe
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: and I was like, god, fucking so bad, so bad.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: I'm at the age too now where my physical Like
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: they asked like how many drinks I have a week?
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: And I don't really drink anymore? Yeah, And I started
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: just like he I was like, yeah, I don't really drink.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: And then I was like, but like I did, I
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: used to and like do coke and like just started
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: basically just like I'm not a loser, and my like,
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: I'm a doc.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: What are you telling you?
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: What are you trying to prove?
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: We got fucked up by? Yeah?
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: Dude, check this out. This is my eyes. I'm clearly
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: fucked up in this photo. You can tell. Yeah, yeah, I.
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: Mean I did the pre novo scan. Oh, the full
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: body scan, full body MRI, and I mean every clean
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: bill of health.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: So love that those are those are private though, right.
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: Yeah, it's private. You have to pay the grip of
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: money for it. It's basically like you pay because you
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: want to make sure that everything's good. And then for
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: the two weeks beforehand and the week before you get
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: your results, you convince yourself that everything is wrong, you
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: have like terrible cancer or whatever. And you get it
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: and they're like, you're fucking fine, what what are you
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: looking for?
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: New ship? I'd be like this is this wasn't there
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: when I?
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: Yeah what a business model? Road just like to just hypochondriacs.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: Yes, everybody in there is like clearly hypochondria. It's like, yeah,
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: you're all just fucking nervous and have expendable cash.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: Yeah, the one hundred coletely healthy people.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Yeah, and everyone everyone thinks that they have. Like I
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: went to my doctor and I was like I had
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: just convinced myself. I was just tired, and I was like,
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: I need testosterone. He's like, all right, we'll test it.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: And then I tested and he's like, you have just
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: totally normal test. I was like, god fucking damnit. And
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: he's like, yeah, pretty much everyone comes in here asking
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: for that. He's like, they watched like a Hubanman podcast
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: or Joe Rogan podcast, and I think it's a miracle drug.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: And I'm like, god damn it, this is what real
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: medicine is, versus ship.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: I just thought I couldn't get prescribed it just by asking. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: that way drug seeking behavior.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Yeah, pump some hormones into me.
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: We're at an hour, or we're at well over an hour.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: You guys just cut it off.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Why don't you give it? People a little more sasas
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: look at me. I'm ready to go. I'll go for hours. No,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: no stop watch here.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: I always get bummed out when you guys cut in it. No,
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: it's you know, I actually think those are smart to
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: do that, and also to not have guests.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Every single time.
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: Yeah, like I wish pardon my take, Like we didn't
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: always have like we didn't establish.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: That, but you guys get like kind of like the
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: best of both worlds where you get to like still
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: do like your guys own shit without Yeah, I know.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: But like sometimes it's like, man, I wish we could just.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: You know, like two and a half hours just you guys,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: or yeah.
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: Like an hour and a half and just yeah, or
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: you didn't need to get a guest that week, where
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: you're like, oh, we don't have to find someone, right. Yeah,
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: it's a different.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: Asking people to come on your podcast is the worst
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: fucking thing in the world.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: Sucks.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: People don't realize that it's like a different like there's
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: different styles of podcasting where it's like I didn't even
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: get it at first when we first would have people
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: on Son of a Boy Dad, I like, I think
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: I thought that we were interviewing them.
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys have an interview show.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: It's not an interview. It's not an interview like our
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: first time we had Shane Gillison were I think I
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: was like, so, what was it like when you were
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: first on s and.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Like we were asking the same questions that everyone asked.
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: But it's like it's not what it should be, and
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: it's like a different style, and you guys pretty seamlessly
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: back and forth within the styles on one episode.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: And it's also like that's when you have when you
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: have guests that you know and they come back, that's
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: those are the best interview Yeah.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: You don't have yeah ship and they understand like how
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: it's going to go. We always got to like every
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: time we got to guess, like halfway through the episode,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: we got to be like, this is it by the way, Yeah,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: it's not going to be like yeah, we're not proud
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: about Yeah, we don't care about you at all. Just
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: tired someone to put on the thumbnail.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: Actually, if you don't even want to be on the episode,
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: but you're okay with the thumbnail, we're fine with that too.
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: We just we have a week coming up where we're
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: not all going to be here. So that's why you're here.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: You guys are doing what like six episodes this week
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: something like that. Pretty much we're done with two now,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: so here we go. And we got Bruden, Big John Gruden,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: yeah exactly, making KB. We had Jerry and.
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: Muk On Compton just texting me back.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Telling me he's out.
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: He had his chance, he said, So I didn't hear
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: from you. I figured we weren't hitting the pod, which
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: is my fault, because I asked him and then he asked,
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: and I said, let me ask you, guys, and then
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: Sas didn't answer, and so I didn't answer.
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: Will see what you see? What you do?
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: You were the domino. I'm gonna go ahead and blame
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: you on this one. Yeah, son of a boy, dad.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Son of a boy, dad, big cat, thank you for joining.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Yes, thank you boys. Love the show.
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: You can find him on another podcast podcast.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back next week.
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: Goodbye.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: Thanks boys,
