- 0:39Speaker 2: Welcome in to a Monday edition the Sports of the
- 0:42Speaker 2: Program brought to Blasch Central Texas Sports Medisine.
- 0:46Speaker 1: We're glad to have you. We're going to talk.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Hoops, We're going to talk to some football. We've got the
- 0:53Speaker 2: writers roundtable coming up. We're going to look at our brackets.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Minds busted, totally busted, and we'll do that. We're gonna
- 1:03Speaker 2: hear from the losers and the winners of Duke and
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yukon yesterday, So we got that going on for us,
- 1:11Speaker 2: which is nice. Let you in on the rest of
- 1:14Speaker 2: the week as well. Michigan has been made and ever
- 1:19Speaker 2: so slight favorite to win the national Championship, slightly ahead
- 1:24Speaker 2: of Arizona. Yukon is the biggest long shot at seven
- 1:31Speaker 2: to one. Illinois is in at four to one. Illinois
- 1:37Speaker 2: and Yukon will play the opening game of the Final
- 1:40Speaker 2: four a little after four o'clock from Indianapolis, Texas time, and.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Second game is the primetime game.
- 1:52Speaker 2: That's no surprise with Michigan and Arizona, who have been
- 1:57Speaker 2: two best teams, two of the three best teams all
- 2:01Speaker 2: year long. The Huskies missed seventeen of their first eighteen
- 2:07Speaker 2: to three point attempts. Duke shot fifty two percent from
- 2:15Speaker 2: the field, They were plus six in rebounding. They held
- 2:21Speaker 2: Connecticut to forty percent from the field, but they turned
- 2:26Speaker 2: the ball over eight times in the second half. The
- 2:30Speaker 2: Boozer brothers, who were great offensively, Cameron had four turnovers.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Caden had three, including two in the last minute, including
- 2:41Speaker 2: the last one that was the killer, and Yukon hits
- 2:46Speaker 2: the shot to upset Duke and Advance. Saint John's has
- 2:52Speaker 2: been pretty good under Rick Patino. Patino was hired in
- 2:57Speaker 2: March of twenty three. He's turned around the program with
- 3:02Speaker 2: back to back thirty win seasons and thirty six and
- 3:07Speaker 2: four in the Big East. Pretty good. That earned him
- 3:11Speaker 2: a new contract today. Exact number isn't known, but he's
- 3:20Speaker 2: making over five Milski. That would make him one of
- 3:24Speaker 2: the top ten highest paid coaches. Tennessee's basketball coach Rick
- 3:29Speaker 2: Barnes says he will return next season. Barnes has led
- 3:35Speaker 2: the Balls to three straight Elite eights. He says they
- 3:42Speaker 2: just have a figure out a way to get a
- 3:46Speaker 2: little bit better. Next season will be his twelfth in
- 3:51Speaker 2: Knoxville after seventeen years in Austin.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Speaking of Tennessee, just in.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Games spent five years under Rick Barnes. He's going to
- 4:04Speaker 2: North Carolina State to replace Will Wade as their new
- 4:08Speaker 2: head coach. Gainy played for North Carolina State from ninety
- 4:13Speaker 2: six to two thousand. Wade, of course left to return
- 4:19Speaker 2: to LSU, where he joked at his introductory news conference
- 4:25Speaker 2: today he may be the only coach to be fired
- 4:29Speaker 2: twice from the same school.
- 4:34Speaker 1: We'll see about that. I mean, most coaches are fired.
- 4:37Speaker 2: So eventually that'll probably happen. Look who is leading the
- 4:43Speaker 2: AL West. The Texas Rangers are in first place. Very
- 4:50Speaker 2: hopeful that by the time I get to Arlington Friday
- 4:54Speaker 2: for the home opener, they will have clinched the division.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Jack Lighter on the mound. Tonight they are in Balmer.
- 5:06Speaker 2: That game will start at five thirty five, Texas time.
- 5:10Speaker 2: The Rangers beat the Phillies eight to three yesterday meeting.
- 5:15Speaker 2: They took two of three from the NL champs to
- 5:21Speaker 2: start the season. The Rangers got pretty good pitching for
- 5:32Speaker 2: McKenzie Gore. In fact, five no hit innings ended up
- 5:39Speaker 2: with five and a third, two runs, three walks, seven k's,
- 5:45Speaker 2: the first Ranger starter since two thousand to earn the win,
- 5:51Speaker 2: locks seven plus strikeouts and allow two or fewer earn
- 5:56Speaker 2: runs in his pitching debut for the team. Jacob Lats
- 6:04Speaker 2: had four plus no hit innings on Saturday. Andrew McCutcheon,
- 6:11Speaker 2: a late sign the veteran, had a three run Jimmy
- 6:16Speaker 2: Jack brandon Nimo, another off season acquisition, had a two
- 6:23Speaker 2: run shot in the Rangers win yesterday. The Astros, after
- 6:30Speaker 2: losing the first two to the Angels came back to
- 6:33Speaker 2: win two. They are of course trailing the Rangers in
- 6:39Speaker 2: the Al West. We will have that game for you
- 6:42Speaker 2: tonight beginning at six thirty as the Astros host the
- 6:50Speaker 2: Red Sox. Lance mccullors will be on the mound the
- 6:56Speaker 2: Astros wearing their City Connect uniforms to in case you care.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Mcculor's making his season debut. Last pitched in an exhibition
- 7:08Speaker 2: game March twenty fourth. Made his return last year after
- 7:14Speaker 2: missing the entire twenty three and twenty four seasons. It'll
- 7:19Speaker 2: be interesting to see what happens with Lance mccullors tonight
- 7:26Speaker 2: on the mound for the Houstons. Gus Malzon and former
- 7:35Speaker 2: cow head coach Jeff Tedford have been added to the
- 7:39Speaker 2: College Football Playoff Selection Committee. Arkansas athletic director A Hunter
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yurachek will return as the committee chair for the second year.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Louisiana athletic director Brian Maggert will join the group. The
- 7:54Speaker 2: three new committee members will serve three year terms, replace
- 7:59Speaker 2: out going members Chris Alt, Jeff Long, and Miami of
- 8:06Speaker 2: Ohio athletic director David Saylor. I don't expect to be
- 8:10Speaker 2: any better, honestly, I'm.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Not sure what the answer is.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Well, I know what the answer is. They need to
- 8:19Speaker 2: get ESPN out of it. But hey, that's not going
- 8:22Speaker 2: to happen because they're right in the checks. Yeah, I
- 8:28Speaker 2: don't think the change in committee members is going to
- 8:31Speaker 2: be any big effect. By the way, the Aggie baseball
- 8:35Speaker 2: team completed a sweep at Missouri over the weekend.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I think I saw they scored thirty nine runs. I
- 8:43Speaker 1: believe that's right.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I think they outscored the football team, which put up
- 8:47Speaker 2: thirty eight on the Tigers this year. They will be
- 8:53Speaker 2: in action tomorrow evening with a Tuesday night game.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah, thirty nine runs. Who do they play tomorrow night? Trade?
- 9:02Speaker 2: Yes, the Bearcats are in town. That's a six o'clock game.
- 9:07Speaker 2: We will be on the air with the pregame coverage
- 9:10Speaker 2: at five forty five.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Vanderbilt will be here. Is it Thursday? I think? Are
- 9:18Speaker 1: they playing Thursday? Friday, Saturday? Because of the easter. Vanderbilt
- 9:23Speaker 1: just swept Tennessee.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Yes, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and six o'clock Thursday.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I believe.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Okay, so we got that going on for us. And
- 9:36Speaker 2: how about Friday? Is that also six o'clock?
- 9:39Speaker 1: Okay?
- 9:40Speaker 2: So six Thursday, six Friday, and and two o'clock on Saturday. Okay,
- 9:44Speaker 2: it's Easter weekend. Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Both of those games
- 9:49Speaker 2: Thursday Friday will be out at five forty five Thursday
- 9:54Speaker 2: and Friday. Okay, we're gonna take a break. We're gonna
- 9:58Speaker 2: come back. We're gonna talk a little college.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Oops.
- 10:00Speaker 2: The game that was yesterday phenomenal Yukon Duke. We'll look
- 10:08Speaker 2: at that after this for a co.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Insurance inco Insurance is now a part of Hub International,
- 10:15Speaker 4: bringing you more choices, better value, and even greater expertise.

- 10:40Speaker 4: for tomorrow.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Evan Kanty and Michelle are unsportsmanlike.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Caliperry is so awesome at producing millionaires in the NBA.
- 10:48Speaker 6: There's nobody better.
- 10:49Speaker 5: If you want to go and win championships, don't go
- 10:51Speaker 5: to Arkansas.
- 10:52Speaker 1: What's his job?
- 10:53Speaker 5: Is his job to produce pros or to win games
- 10:55Speaker 5: in college. He hasn't been to the final fours in
- 10:57Speaker 5: twenty fifteen. And if you look at the ross Tersey's
- 10:59Speaker 5: had since then, all world NBA talent, and they don't
- 11:02Speaker 5: get to the place that you think they're supposed to get.
- 11:05Speaker 7: Unsportsman line. Listen in weekday mornings from Fine to Adam
- 11:08Speaker 7: issoone eleven and ninety three point seven FM.
- 11:22Speaker 8: My hat don't hang on the same nail too long.
- 11:27Speaker 9: My ears can't stand to hear the same old song.
- 11:32Speaker 8: And I don't leave the highway long enough.
- 11:36Speaker 6: The bog down in the mud.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I've got rampling fever in my blood.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I called this ramant.
- 11:47Speaker 1: That's mighty borrow. Thank you for being with us.
- 11:50Speaker 2: We have a high school report tomorrow. We'll have some
- 11:55Speaker 2: baseball preview tomorrow of the Sam Houston series. We'll have
- 11:59Speaker 2: a little football tomorrow. Don't know if we'll have any
- 12:04Speaker 2: NCAA basketball preview. We might. We've got the Clark Eisenhower
- 12:11Speaker 2: edition coming up on Thursday. Scott cland Dinna will be
- 12:14Speaker 2: with us on Wednesday. His bracket was similar to mine,
- 12:18Speaker 2: So it's busted as well. I don't know what to say. Look,
- 12:26Speaker 2: I'm not sad that Duke lost. I'm never sad when
- 12:29Speaker 2: Duke loses. I was sad for me because I had
- 12:34Speaker 2: Duke in Arizona in the finals. You know, it's easy
- 12:42Speaker 2: to say that Arizona and Michigan is going to be
- 12:44Speaker 2: the de facto national championship game. But didn't we see
- 12:50Speaker 2: that when Houston and Louisville played in nineteen eighty three,
- 12:53Speaker 2: that that was the de facto national championship game in
- 12:57Speaker 2: North Carolina State one. I tell you can't, Well you
- 13:04Speaker 2: can because I did. But I shouldn't have picked against
- 13:07Speaker 2: Danny Hurley. I should know better. I texted a friend
- 13:12Speaker 2: who's a big Kansas fan who wants Danny Hurley at Kansas.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I don't think Danny Hurley is leaving personally. I think
- 13:20Speaker 2: he's fine where he is, since he's in his third
- 13:23Speaker 2: Final four in four years and has won two already.
- 13:29Speaker 2: My point is, I'm not sure I would bet against them.
- 13:33Speaker 2: And you say, well, they just threw up a lucky
- 13:36Speaker 2: shot to win the game yesterday. Well maybe, but his
- 13:41Speaker 2: players performed under pressure, right, I would argue that duke
- 13:46Speaker 2: players did not perform well under pressure. And I like
- 13:52Speaker 2: John Shire. I mean, John Shire has won a lot
- 13:55Speaker 2: of games, but I guarantee duke fans arrest because he
- 14:01Speaker 2: hasn't won the game. And if you're a duke, you
- 14:03Speaker 2: have to win the game, and he hasn't done that.
- 14:05Speaker 2: And he's lost two big leads the last two years
- 14:09Speaker 2: with really good teams. He had a really good team
- 14:12Speaker 2: this year. But guess what, even though these freshman kids
- 14:16Speaker 2: play a ton of basketball, that's what everybody says. Look,
- 14:19Speaker 2: they're freshmen, but they're really not. They've played all over
- 14:22Speaker 2: the US, they played high level amateur basketball, they're getting paid,
- 14:26Speaker 2: they're not freshmen.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Well, guess what.
- 14:29Speaker 2: The freshman yesterday reacted like freshmen when the pressure was
- 14:33Speaker 2: really on. You know, normally you hold the basketball the
- 14:41Speaker 2: game's over, but Kyan Boozer didn't do that. He had
- 14:48Speaker 2: two guys standing.
- 14:49Speaker 10: In the front court underneath the basket and decided, hey,
- 14:53Speaker 10: let's throw it to them. And I'm not saying I
- 14:55Speaker 10: wouldn't have done the same thing, and you would have
- 14:57Speaker 10: done the same thing, because it's always easier sitting on
- 15:00Speaker 10: your couch saying you should have would have could have
- 15:04Speaker 10: rather than the cauldron of the pressure.
- 15:06Speaker 2: We'll talk with the writers. We've talked a lot about this.
- 15:09Speaker 2: We talk about coaches who sometimes don't do well in
- 15:12Speaker 2: these pressure situations, that have to make a decision in
- 15:15Speaker 2: three seconds. Right, And you go, well, they're getting paid
- 15:18Speaker 2: a lot of money. Yes they are, and they're getting
- 15:21Speaker 2: paid a lot of money to make decisions when the
- 15:23Speaker 2: pressure is the greatest, right, But that doesn't always work out.
- 15:27Speaker 2: It didn't work out yesterday for Duke, which frankly was
- 15:32Speaker 2: the better team for you know, thirty eight of the
- 15:36Speaker 2: forty minutes probably or at least thirty five of the
- 15:39Speaker 2: forty minutes, they couldn't hold onto the basketball. Now, that's
- 15:43Speaker 2: point guard play. Caleb Foster was injured, wasn't himself playing
- 15:50Speaker 2: on one foot? Had ankle surgery less than three weeks ago,
- 15:56Speaker 2: and that makes a huge difference. They didn't hit some
- 15:59Speaker 2: free they should have hit. They missed crucial free throws.
- 16:05Speaker 2: What do we talk about in games like this? You've
- 16:08Speaker 2: got to make free throws. It's so simple. I don't
- 16:14Speaker 2: understand why you can shoot the ball from twenty six
- 16:17Speaker 2: feet with guys hanging all over you and you can't
- 16:20Speaker 2: shoot the ball from fifteen.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Feet with no one in front of you.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Pressure. Pressure. Anyway, I started all of this dive tribe
- 16:34Speaker 2: with my bracket being busted. I had Arizona Duke in
- 16:38Speaker 2: the finals, with Arizona winning. I was so close yesterday.
- 16:42Speaker 6: I was.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Zero point four seconds away yesterday from getting that matchup.
- 16:50Speaker 2: But and I got to tell you, uh, Michigan Arizona.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Like I said, people are going to look at that
- 16:59Speaker 2: as the facto national championship, and it probably is.
- 17:04Speaker 1: In my mind.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Duke, Arizona Michigan were the three best teams all year long,
- 17:09Speaker 2: the most consistent teams, the best teams in college basketball.
- 17:13Speaker 2: If you want to throw Florida in down the stretch,
- 17:15Speaker 2: you can. But I thought those three teams were the
- 17:21Speaker 2: three best. But guess what two of them are standing,
- 17:26Speaker 2: Arizona Michigan, and they played in the semifinals Saturday night,
- 17:30Speaker 2: So that'll be fun.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:34Speaker 2: By the way, let me just say Caden Boozer sat
- 17:37Speaker 2: at his locker yesterday and answered questions from the media
- 17:40Speaker 2: and looked right in the camera and said, hey, I
- 17:43Speaker 2: blew it from my whole team.
- 17:46Speaker 1: He didn't hide.
- 17:48Speaker 2: I got a lot of respect for both those kids,
- 17:51Speaker 2: They've been well raised by their parents. Cam Boozer was
- 17:56Speaker 2: a man yesterday. He's been a man all year. He's
- 17:59Speaker 2: the player of the year in college basketball, just about unguardable.
- 18:04Speaker 1: But he didn't win.
- 18:08Speaker 2: He did take two stupid questions from the media after
- 18:12Speaker 2: Oh good gosh, these questions are just brutal. I don't
- 18:16Speaker 2: understand how some of these people make a living in
- 18:20Speaker 2: the business are in because they can't ask a question.
- 18:23Speaker 2: And I want you to listen to these questions. Here's
- 18:25Speaker 2: here's Cam Boozer, and then after Cam Boozer, John Shire.
- 18:30Speaker 11: It's cannot be uh more disappointed and feeling for our
- 18:38Speaker 11: guys at the same time of you know, just trying
- 18:42Speaker 11: to process what happened.
- 18:43Speaker 6: I don't have the words. I don't have the words.
- 18:48Speaker 11: What I do know is literally this team, what each
- 18:53Speaker 11: individual player went through just to play the game. I've
- 18:57Speaker 11: never seen anything like it, what these guys did have
- 19:00Speaker 11: to get ready their foot injuries. He's got a black guy,
- 19:04Speaker 11: He's playing the whole game, and I'm incredibly sorry for
- 19:09Speaker 11: these guys that they gotta go through this.
- 19:12Speaker 6: This is this is on us.
- 19:17Speaker 11: We're gonna be in this in this together and the
- 19:19Speaker 11: year that this guy's had has been absolutely incredible, absolutely incredible,
- 19:25Speaker 11: And Uh, I don't have words other than just how
- 19:29Speaker 11: proud proud I am of these guys and how disappointed
- 19:32Speaker 11: we are.
- 19:33Speaker 12: Uh Camp BDBD China, Frenchie BDB China. Looking at tonight's
- 19:39Speaker 12: gave me to top loss. So I want to know
- 19:42Speaker 12: what did you seek? What do you think? What do
- 19:45Speaker 12: you think you did well tonight? And where do you
- 19:47Speaker 12: feel you could be been better tonight? What tonight's game?
- 19:54Speaker 13: I mean, I think we fought hard, we gave a lot,
- 19:59Speaker 13: but as a whole, we could have gave a lot more.
- 20:01Speaker 13: In the second half, we came out a little flat,
- 20:04Speaker 13: gave them a little bit of life. When you're playing
- 20:07Speaker 13: a team as good as Yukon, that's all they really need.
- 20:09Speaker 14: So yeah, Dan to a wakeup call DT dot com cam.
- 20:16Speaker 14: You heard your coach talk about how you're gonna go
- 20:18Speaker 14: through this together. What does it meant to be led
- 20:20Speaker 14: by John Shire? And just what you can say to
- 20:23Speaker 14: his leadership and maybe what he said after the game.
- 20:30Speaker 13: Honestly, this whole year it's been a huge blessing. I
- 20:34Speaker 13: mean I came here and I learned so much from
- 20:39Speaker 13: our players, not even just from the coaches, you know,
- 20:41Speaker 13: our whole our whole players.
- 20:43Speaker 6: Man, We're such a connected group. Man. I love those guys.
- 20:46Speaker 6: We worked so hard all year.
- 20:49Speaker 13: And then just the coaches, you know, you know, we
- 20:53Speaker 13: had a group of they had five guys leave, we
- 20:56Speaker 13: had five freshmen come in. We had five guys returned,
- 21:00Speaker 13: and I'm just you know, the way they coached us.
- 21:02Speaker 13: They brought us together and taught us to fight, taught
- 21:05Speaker 13: us to play together. And I'll learned so much this year.
- 21:08Speaker 13: I'm never gonna take it for granted, man, But yeah,
- 21:14Speaker 13: I'm just super thankful for it all.
- 21:16Speaker 6: I'm hurting right now. We're all hurting.
- 21:20Speaker 13: I wish I couldn't gave more for those guys, you know,
- 21:22Speaker 13: kayleb uh pat in the league, you know, everyone's hurting
- 21:26Speaker 13: the deal with injuries coming and playing. You know, it
- 21:30Speaker 13: take a lot of heart, took a lot of balls
- 21:31Speaker 13: to do that, you know. So I'm just proud of
- 21:34Speaker 13: them part of our team.
- 21:36Speaker 15: Yeah, any additional questions for Cam at this time.
- 21:41Speaker 2: We'd like to thank Cam, congratulate him on an outstanding
- 21:44Speaker 2: season and run to the Elite eight.
- 21:50Speaker 16: Brian Murp with w R l.
- 21:51Speaker 17: John, Can you walk us through the final possession what
- 21:53Speaker 17: you saw if you consider calling time out, if you
- 21:56Speaker 17: wanted them to hold it. What was going through your
- 21:58Speaker 17: mind on that last possession.
- 22:00Speaker 11: Well, yeah, you just we just have to secure it, right,
- 22:03Speaker 11: I mean, we got it, they had to foul. I
- 22:06Speaker 11: was ready for a timeout and we just got to
- 22:09Speaker 11: hold on. And you know, it's easy to look at
- 22:12Speaker 11: that play. You know, I look at every play that happened,
- 22:15Speaker 11: especially in the second half. This is not about one play.
- 22:17Speaker 11: It's about every play to put us in that position.
- 22:20Speaker 11: And that's what you don't want to do, where one
- 22:23Speaker 11: play something can happen. And so for me, look it's
- 22:27Speaker 11: it's gonna be tough, but it's not gonna be on
- 22:32Speaker 11: one play.
- 22:35Speaker 17: You mentioned the second half. I think eight turnovers in
- 22:37Speaker 17: the second half, including you know, I think Isaiah slipped
- 22:40Speaker 17: on one, Cam had one, a couple of live ball turnovers.
- 22:44Speaker 17: How much of a difference was that in kind of
- 22:45Speaker 17: fueling their comeback?
- 22:46Speaker 11: Of course, I mean we just gave them easy baskets
- 22:49Speaker 11: and we just had to secure the ball better. And
- 22:52Speaker 11: that's a recipe to put yourself in that position. And
- 22:58Speaker 11: you know that that was a big difference in the game.
- 23:01Speaker 6: Obviously.
- 23:04Speaker 18: My name is Godrin or Winda with Pro Age Sports coach.
- 23:07Speaker 18: Do you think do you think there was anything positive
- 23:11Speaker 18: that you could have done in the second half? Because
- 23:14Speaker 18: I know you had I believe, a fifteen point lead
- 23:17Speaker 18: going into the second half. Is there anything that you
- 23:20Speaker 18: think you could have done differently?
- 23:23Speaker 11: There's not a person in this room, including me, that
- 23:26Speaker 11: doesn't replay everything that you could do and how you
- 23:28Speaker 11: can help. I mean, obviously, and that's that's part of
- 23:34Speaker 11: being in this seat. That's part of being in this spot.
- 23:38Speaker 6: That's what that's what.
- 23:43Speaker 11: Of course, end of the day, we gotta finish it
- 23:48Speaker 11: off end of the day and you know, will reflect,
- 23:52Speaker 11: we'll learn do all that.
- 23:55Speaker 1: But yeah, of course, I mean, come on, these questions
- 24:02Speaker 1: are just stupid.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Okay, there's no such thing as a stupid question, only
- 24:08Speaker 2: stupid people who ask the questions. Let's go to the
- 24:13Speaker 2: winning side. Now, Alex Caravan now is going to be
- 24:18Speaker 2: in his third Final four.
- 24:20Speaker 1: That's pretty good.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Uh, they're going to talk about you're gonna hear from him,
- 24:26Speaker 2: and then you're gonna hear from the star Braidlen Mullins,
- 24:31Speaker 2: the hero of the game. And then we're going to
- 24:35Speaker 2: hear from Dan Hurley, the coach.
- 24:40Speaker 14: Second half.
- 24:41Speaker 11: I think that it could be argued, you guys took
- 24:43Speaker 11: your competitiveness up a notch. When did that shift happen
- 24:46Speaker 11: and how did it happen?
- 24:50Speaker 19: I think it happened in the second half. I think
- 24:51Speaker 19: it was the start the second half. We started being
- 24:53Speaker 19: more physical, We started really playing to the calling card
- 24:56Speaker 19: that we play at and you know, we just felt
- 25:00Speaker 19: we let our offense really dictate how we were playing
- 25:02Speaker 19: in the first half when we necessarily didn't have shots
- 25:05Speaker 19: fall or the flow of our offense really you know,
- 25:08Speaker 19: it got disrupted and disrupted. So I think what we
- 25:11Speaker 19: took pride on the defensive end, everything changed.
- 25:14Speaker 20: Yeah, piggyback off what AKA said. I mean it was
- 25:16Speaker 20: definitely that second half. I mean one in a halftime, coach,
- 25:19Speaker 20: we got who got sweet for the defenses? You know,
- 25:21Speaker 20: we got to give it all week at cut. So
- 25:23Speaker 20: they coming out of that halftime down with fifteen whatever,
- 25:25Speaker 20: it was just going down, Like I say, you at all,
- 25:28Speaker 20: keep chipping away, keep chipping away at the lead and
- 25:31Speaker 20: end up getting it back and the rest is history.
- 25:34Speaker 6: This guy hit the freaking game winner? Is that sure?
- 25:38Speaker 1: You've been asked already talk us through it.
- 25:40Speaker 6: What did you see?
- 25:41Speaker 21: What did you think would feel?
- 25:43Speaker 6: How did it happen?
- 25:45Speaker 8: Man?
- 25:46Speaker 22: Uh, it's just I mean, yeah, it's still a loss
- 25:49Speaker 22: of words, still processing all like what just happened. But uh,
- 25:53Speaker 22: I mean I think that last possession, it was just
- 25:54Speaker 22: we were trying to file the worst free throw shooter
- 25:56Speaker 22: on the floor and Silas ended up deflecting the past
- 26:01Speaker 22: to the other end of the floor. And it's just
- 26:03Speaker 22: I had the ball and I know Ak had just
- 26:06Speaker 22: hit once, so I threw him in four seconds left,
- 26:08Speaker 22: and man, he just threw the ball back to me.
- 26:09Speaker 22: I knew how to pull one up. So man, I'm
- 26:12Speaker 22: just happy that was that was the one that.
- 26:13Speaker 6: Went down tonight.
- 26:18Speaker 23: See, that's uh, you know, just the epic, just another
- 26:22Speaker 23: chapter in the in the Yukon Duke and c late tournament. Uh,
- 26:28Speaker 23: you know, dramatics, you know, obviously a really tough way
- 26:32Speaker 23: for their season, you.
- 26:33Speaker 6: Know, to end.
- 26:34Speaker 23: I you know, I thought they played great. I thought
- 26:37Speaker 23: they punched us in the mouth with incredible force, you know,
- 26:42Speaker 23: the the Boozer Boys. I mean I've been admirers of,
- 26:47Speaker 23: you know, of their approach to basketball. I mean, all
- 26:49Speaker 23: I've ever watched these guys do. Uh, you know, it's
- 26:53Speaker 23: just win everything that they play in over the course
- 26:56Speaker 23: of their career and grassroots and then what the impact
- 26:59Speaker 23: they've had the Duke and you know obviously across the.
- 27:02Speaker 6: Board, you know, just their program.
- 27:05Speaker 23: You couldn't have more respect for you know, John Shire
- 27:08Speaker 23: and and and what they've done since he's been here.
- 27:13Speaker 23: But you know, I think for us, you know, the
- 27:17Speaker 23: story was just uh that that game was a reflection
- 27:19Speaker 23: on the season. It's been a season where we've been
- 27:22Speaker 23: dealt with injuries to key players at critical points of
- 27:26Speaker 23: the year that we've had to overcome, and we've had
- 27:29Speaker 23: to show a lot of fortitude and resilience and just
- 27:31Speaker 23: kind of claw way through the season. And uh, just
- 27:35Speaker 23: the game was a microcosm of that. Just we fought,
- 27:38Speaker 23: we clawed, put ourselves in position, uh to take advantage
- 27:42Speaker 23: of a mistake that they made and uh, you know,
- 27:45Speaker 23: one of the most brilliant shooters that you'll ever see
- 27:46Speaker 23: shoot a basketball. Uh, you know, made an incredible legendary
- 27:51Speaker 23: march shot.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Coach upfront to the left.
- 27:54Speaker 24: We'll start on campus, Sam Callahan Daily campus.
- 27:58Speaker 16: I know you, I know your grandfather great.
- 28:02Speaker 24: Uh, obviously you just mentioned one of the great March shots,
- 28:07Speaker 24: and you've you've seen I mean you were you were
- 28:10Speaker 24: in the stands for the Latner shots. Have you seen
- 28:13Speaker 24: anything like what Braanlan just just did to seal the game?
- 28:17Speaker 23: No, I mean I've had it done to me. I've
- 28:22Speaker 23: been on the bad side. Maybe not a shot like that,
- 28:24Speaker 23: but uh, just in a game of that magnitude, you know,
- 28:29Speaker 23: especially when we were I mean, they make it tough
- 28:32Speaker 23: on you because they're obviously an excellent defensive team, but
- 28:35Speaker 23: you know, we probably were gonna look at film and
- 28:37Speaker 23: see shot quality on a number of the threes that
- 28:40Speaker 23: we missed and say, man, like we it felt like
- 28:43Speaker 23: a little bit of you know, some type of justice
- 28:46Speaker 23: where you know, we we missed a lot of really
- 28:49Speaker 23: good shots throughout the game, and then uh, you know
- 28:53Speaker 23: we we had to make a really hard shot, you know,
- 28:58Speaker 23: so you know, the things just even down at that point.
- 29:01Speaker 25: Let's say, staying up front of the left Hartford Jord
- 29:06Speaker 25: Harford current Dan, what does it take you go down
- 29:09Speaker 25: nineteen in the first half against a team like that.
- 29:12Speaker 20: You know, they've only lost twice this year, and you know,
- 29:14Speaker 20: the players that they have But what does it take
- 29:16Speaker 20: for your team to stick in that and for you
- 29:17Speaker 20: to stick it in as a coach?
- 29:19Speaker 23: I mean strong men. You know, it takes strong men,
- 29:23Speaker 23: It takes it takes a strong team, It takes a
- 29:26Speaker 23: tough team. It takes tough men. It takes strong men.
- 29:29Speaker 23: It takes a bunch of players that that let us
- 29:32Speaker 23: coach them, let us coach them hard. That starts in June.
- 29:38Speaker 23: We run a very intense program. You know, we're on
- 29:43Speaker 23: these guys. We put them, we stress them in practice.
- 29:46Speaker 23: We put a lot of pressure on them on a
- 29:49Speaker 23: daily basis to do the right things, to do everything
- 29:54Speaker 23: at game speed, to do everything hard, to do everything tough,
- 29:57Speaker 23: to be prepared, because that's what it takes to win
- 30:02Speaker 23: games like this, or or to stay in a game
- 30:04Speaker 23: like that where you're getting out played, you're having a
- 30:08Speaker 23: really bad shooting night at the absolute worst time. But
- 30:12Speaker 23: what kicks in at that point is is just a
- 30:14Speaker 23: bunch of strong men, a strong team, players that let
- 30:18Speaker 23: their coaches coach them hard and prepare them for tough moments.
- 30:24Speaker 1: We have two on the left side, all the way back.
- 30:25Speaker 17: We'll start on the left side.
- 30:27Speaker 16: How you doing coach the DeAndre the way network.
- 30:29Speaker 23: I'm doing great.
- 30:30Speaker 6: Bro, Hey, I'm doing great.
- 30:35Speaker 26: What's something that happened tonight that you saw that didn't
- 30:38Speaker 26: show up in the statuet but radically changed the momentum
- 30:40Speaker 26: of the game.
- 30:41Speaker 23: Well, I just thought that to start the game, we're
- 30:44Speaker 23: a little bit I just thought we were a little
- 30:47Speaker 23: bit on our heels. I thought we were too defensive defensively,
- 30:51Speaker 23: I think that, yeah, we didn't get after them and
- 30:55Speaker 23: try to pressure them or make them uncomfortable. I just
- 30:59Speaker 23: think that, you know, we probably maybe you know, gave
- 31:02Speaker 23: a little bit too much respect to their individual players.
- 31:06Speaker 23: And I just thought that Malachi Smith with some ball pressure.
- 31:09Speaker 23: I thought Silas with some ball pressure. I thought Jayden Ross.
- 31:13Speaker 23: I just thought that, you know, we we got after
- 31:16Speaker 23: them a little bit more and turned them over, and
- 31:19Speaker 23: turnovers have been an issue for them like they have
- 31:21Speaker 23: been for us. So you're just just up in a
- 31:24Speaker 23: little bit of defensive energy. I thought helped us a lot.
- 31:28Speaker 2: You know, if you're compiling a list of who's best,
- 31:31Speaker 2: I think right now, and I know it's flavor of
- 31:35Speaker 2: the month with coaches in any sport, but Dan Hurley
- 31:38Speaker 2: is the man in college basketball right now. I don't
- 31:41Speaker 2: think anybody can argue that if you're making and Scott
- 31:46Speaker 2: Clinden and I talked about this on Wednesday.
- 31:51Speaker 1: If I'm North Carolina.
- 31:52Speaker 2: First call I made, first call, I'm Kansas and that
- 31:56Speaker 2: hasn't been decided yet. First call, I make him tell
- 32:00Speaker 2: you no. Right, you wave money at him and make
- 32:04Speaker 2: him tell you no. I don't think he'll leave. You know,
- 32:07Speaker 2: he's just got another He's going to get another raise, another,
- 32:11Speaker 2: you know. I don't think he's got a great situation obviously,
- 32:16Speaker 2: But as we've said many times, these guys are different.
- 32:19Speaker 2: They don't think like normal people. That would be the
- 32:25Speaker 2: call I make. I went Dan Hurley and he has
- 32:28Speaker 2: been unbelievable with this program. Third final four in four years,
- 32:33Speaker 2: back to back Maddi's and yeah it took a last
- 32:38Speaker 2: second shot, but guess what his gud.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Made that last second shot.
- 32:42Speaker 2: They came from nineteen down against a team that's lost
- 32:45Speaker 2: twice all year long, in a high pressure environment.
- 32:49Speaker 27: They made the place.

- 36:26Speaker 29: Yes, let's not get it twisted. It's a lukewarm basketball
- 36:31Speaker 29: fan base. If we're doing if we're doing the pecking
- 36:36Speaker 29: order among passion, as far as passion is concerned, loop,
- 36:41Speaker 29: it's football, it's baseball, then it's basketball. That's the pecking order.
- 36:48Speaker 29: And it's always been the pecking order, no matter who's
- 36:51Speaker 29: playing basketball here, be it TJ. Ford, Kevin Durant, Lamarca's Aldridge.
- 36:57Speaker 29: They've had some great players come through here. It's always
- 37:01Speaker 29: been football, baseball than hoops.
- 37:05Speaker 2: When you get to a third sport and you don't

- 37:29Speaker 2: a Monday. The writers round table is coming up in
- 37:31Speaker 2: about twenty minutes a little bit more than that, So
- 37:35Speaker 2: phone the neighbors and wake the kids and tell them
- 37:38Speaker 2: the writers are here on a Monday.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Right now, we're.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Gonna hear from coach Elko, who visited late last week
- 37:45Speaker 2: with media members about the early results from spring football.
- 37:50Speaker 25: So three practices in not a lot of revelations. I'm
- 37:53Speaker 25: sure you guys are gonna want all of these, like
- 37:55Speaker 25: big synopsises on where we're at, good energy. A lot
- 37:59Speaker 25: of new face is so up and running and trying
- 38:01Speaker 25: to get ready to go.
- 38:02Speaker 21: So from there, what do you just got the.
- 38:06Speaker 30: Guys that?
- 38:14Speaker 25: Yeah, I think obviously we talked a lot about when
- 38:17Speaker 25: we got.
- 38:17Speaker 21: Here the need to upgrade playmakers.
- 38:20Speaker 25: On offense, and that position group in particular was a
- 38:23Speaker 25: group where we felt like we had to do it.
- 38:25Speaker 25: And so I think when you're out there now and
- 38:27Speaker 25: you see we've got a lot of different body types.
- 38:29Speaker 25: We've got a lot of long kids that got great
- 38:31Speaker 25: athleticism and speed. We've got guys who can win and
- 38:34Speaker 25: separate in the slot. I just think we've we've built
- 38:36Speaker 25: a room that has a lot of dynamic playmakers and
- 38:39Speaker 25: a lot of playmaking capability.
- 38:41Speaker 21: You know how good they can be? I don't know.
- 38:42Speaker 25: You know, we'll see how we handle practice in summer
- 38:45Speaker 25: and all of the things that come along with being
- 38:47Speaker 25: a good football player.
- 38:48Speaker 21: But I do think there's a lot of athleticism in
- 38:50Speaker 21: that room, which is good to see.
- 38:55Speaker 25: HOPEFU Yeah, yeah, you know you want to see him
- 39:02Speaker 25: take the next step. You know, he's a kid that
- 39:04Speaker 25: kind of got his feet wet as a starter last year,
- 39:06Speaker 25: you know, went through the riggers of playing SEC football
- 39:10Speaker 25: for the first time.
- 39:11Speaker 21: I think as the year went he continued to grow,
- 39:13Speaker 21: his role continued.
- 39:14Speaker 25: To grow, He got better and better, and uh, he's
- 39:17Speaker 25: had a really really strong offseason to this point, and
- 39:20Speaker 25: now you want to just kind of see him take
- 39:22Speaker 25: that to the field and have that elevate to the
- 39:24Speaker 25: next level. And I think that's what we're seeing through
- 39:27Speaker 25: three days and we'll kind of see where it goes.
- 39:29Speaker 31: Better than.
- 39:31Speaker 32: Because we're literally hell him where feeling he fits in
- 39:35Speaker 32: the puzzle of that.
- 39:37Speaker 25: Yeah, you know, we wanted to get a guy that
- 39:39Speaker 25: could come in and compete. At the time we took him,
- 39:41Speaker 25: we didn't know what Bryce was going to do, and
- 39:43Speaker 25: so you know, we have Miles Davis coming back. Miles
- 39:46Speaker 25: is a guy obviously that we have high hopes for,
- 39:49Speaker 25: but it was below that there wasn't a lot other
- 39:52Speaker 25: than freshmen and young kids coming in, and so he's
- 39:55Speaker 25: an experienced guy. I think he knows how to play
- 39:57Speaker 25: the game really well. He's very physical, he's a good tackler,
- 40:00Speaker 25: he was a little bit under the weather.
- 40:01Speaker 21: So today was his first practice.
- 40:03Speaker 25: So it was good to get him out there today,
- 40:04Speaker 25: and you know, let's see what he becomes the spring.
- 40:09Speaker 21: Yeah, you talk about the.
- 40:10Speaker 25: Diversity of idea over that, we haven't seen him take
- 40:15Speaker 25: us that size and bok addition.
- 40:18Speaker 21: To yeah, I mean not yet. Its three practices.
- 40:21Speaker 25: I think the one place that showed up today we
- 40:23Speaker 25: did a perimeter drill and so now you've got to
- 40:26Speaker 25: you got a few more big physical outside receivers when
- 40:29Speaker 25: we're trying to block.
- 40:30Speaker 21: It's but yeah, it's early.
- 40:42Speaker 25: Yeah again another another question that's way too early to ask.
- 40:45Speaker 25: Today was the first day in full pads, and so yeah,
- 40:49Speaker 25: I think we got a lot of a lot of
- 40:50Speaker 25: guys in that group that can play. I think we've
- 40:52Speaker 25: got to figure out to what level and and who
- 40:55Speaker 25: are the right people uh to go out there and
- 40:58Speaker 25: and put that puzzle together. And so you know, it's
- 41:00Speaker 25: going to be a big few weeks here through the
- 41:02Speaker 25: middle of the spring, both sides of the line of
- 41:04Speaker 25: scrimmage with all of the new faces. As we see
- 41:06Speaker 25: that competition start to kind of shake out a little bit.
- 41:11Speaker 32: Time ourselves, what do you guys like to William to quarterbacker.
- 41:15Speaker 32: Do you anticipate to the back of the quarterback competition
- 41:18Speaker 32: and maybe lingering into them.
- 41:19Speaker 15: The fall as well?
- 41:20Speaker 25: Yeah, I mean I think every competition lingers into the fall.
- 41:23Speaker 25: I don't I don't think you if you're doing it right,
- 41:25Speaker 25: you should have talented players.
- 41:27Speaker 21: At every position battling for jobs.
- 41:29Speaker 25: And so I don't think you ever want to sit
- 41:31Speaker 25: here this time of year and say this is this
- 41:33Speaker 25: is decisions. You want to see who gives you the
- 41:36Speaker 25: best chance to win and be successful when the fall
- 41:38Speaker 25: comes around, and we'll see who that is. I think
- 41:41Speaker 25: what we have is h two young kids with with
- 41:43Speaker 25: really talented arms, and I think you can throw Eli
- 41:45Speaker 25: Morcos into that mix as well, who look a lot
- 41:48Speaker 25: more comfortable operating in the system right now. And so
- 41:52Speaker 25: you know, we'll see again how that plays out.
- 41:56Speaker 32: I know you said no big revelations, but just what.
- 41:58Speaker 6: Do you learn when sold through.
- 42:00Speaker 30: The first time and how do you expect to.
- 42:02Speaker 32: Sort of get to ramble physical.
- 42:04Speaker 25: Yeah, we learned that we have an awful long way
- 42:06Speaker 25: to go to be a good football team. I think
- 42:08Speaker 25: that's that's been the revelation of practice one in full
- 42:11Speaker 25: pads for the last twenty years. Yeah, it's it's just
- 42:14Speaker 25: it's I'm happy with where we are as a group.
- 42:18Speaker 25: I'm happy with the progress that we made. I don't
- 42:20Speaker 25: want it to come out like I'm not. But when
- 42:22Speaker 25: you're comparing it to a wanting to be a playoff
- 42:24Speaker 25: team and where you know this thing needs to go
- 42:26Speaker 25: to be successful three practices in the spring, it's not
- 42:30Speaker 25: there yet.
- 42:32Speaker 15: So we obviously saw you game on over the Linemack
- 42:34Speaker 15: and Drillson Miller just no going if you would have had.
- 42:37Speaker 21: A Touchdaws with different position cus they do what we're
- 42:40Speaker 21: going at.
- 42:40Speaker 25: Yeah, I just think, you know, we've got this thing
- 42:44Speaker 25: up and running now a little bit as a as
- 42:46Speaker 25: a head coach, and so you know, I have a
- 42:48Speaker 25: lot of confidence in what's happening in most areas of
- 42:51Speaker 25: the field, and so there's times where I com maybe
- 42:54Speaker 25: just go back to coaching a little bit, which is
- 42:55Speaker 25: fun and so and every once in a while it's
- 42:58Speaker 25: nice to just jump it, jump in and feel like
- 43:00Speaker 25: you're being productive as a coach out there.
- 43:04Speaker 13: So it's a couple of different times than.
- 43:13Speaker 25: Yeah, I don't know that it's a philosophy change. I
- 43:15Speaker 25: think at times last year we went up tempo. I
- 43:18Speaker 25: think at times this year we went up tempo.
- 43:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 43:20Speaker 21: I don't know that there's a big philosophy change there,
- 43:23Speaker 21: go back to the left of carn.
- 43:30Speaker 25: Yeah, yeah, hopefully not ever, but I do think it'll
- 43:34Speaker 25: be busier. You know, it's it's it's Uh, it'd be good.
- 43:38Speaker 25: It's good to see some of those guys. Some of
- 43:39Speaker 25: those guys have been sprinkling back out to practice. It's
- 43:41Speaker 25: been good that a lot of them have been coming
- 43:42Speaker 25: out to practice. I think that shows kind of where
- 43:45Speaker 25: where guys feel about the program and about what's happening here.
- 43:48Speaker 28: Uh.
- 43:48Speaker 25: It's a huge day for for some of the guys
- 43:50Speaker 25: who didn't get to the combine. It's a day to
- 43:53Speaker 25: finish up for some of the guys who did. And
- 43:55Speaker 25: so I just think it's really cool to see where
- 43:57Speaker 25: our program has elevated to in such a period of
- 44:00Speaker 25: time from an NFL development standpoint, and so to have
- 44:04Speaker 25: you know, we'll be represented by all thirty two NFL
- 44:06Speaker 25: organizations tomorrow. I think we've got like six or seven
- 44:09Speaker 25: general managers come in, handful of head coaches come in,
- 44:12Speaker 25: and so, yeah, it's just exciting.
- 44:16Speaker 1: You mentioned Ashton is getting his speed that lasters, But
- 44:19Speaker 1: what was the biggest.
- 44:19Speaker 25: Broth he's on his game that he will take for
- 44:23Speaker 25: I just think, you know, the Ashton still maybe just
- 44:26Speaker 25: transitioning from being a really athletic talented player to be
- 44:30Speaker 25: in a crafty knowing how to run route, separate and
- 44:33Speaker 25: get open wide receiver. And I don't know that that's
- 44:35Speaker 25: specific to Ashton. I just think that's the natural development
- 44:39Speaker 25: of young wide receivers. And so you know, he's able
- 44:42Speaker 25: to do so many things so naturally because of how
- 44:44Speaker 25: gifted he is athletically. I think what you see from
- 44:47Speaker 25: him now is maybe just a better understanding of route concepts,
- 44:51Speaker 25: how to run routes, how to create a little bit
- 44:53Speaker 25: of separation to get the ball. And yeah, I think
- 44:55Speaker 25: that's the next step for him.
- 44:57Speaker 2: It's Mike Elko last week, last question on Nashville Bethel Roman.
- 45:03Speaker 1: We have Todd this week. We will hear from him.

- 50:35Speaker 35: lot of young guys don't come. In it's more it's
- 50:37Speaker 35: as polishes. Him like he's a great route runner and
- 50:40Speaker 35: got great hands and he's gonna be he gonna he's

- 50:45Speaker 15: Spring but have you seen anything different From marcell or
- 50:47Speaker 15: what have you seen from YOUR?
- 50:48Speaker 6: Qub?
- 50:49Speaker 35: Oh, yeah this first day us coming, out there were
- 50:51Speaker 35: hitting the routes that we're hear me this, season like
- 50:53Speaker 35: we're just him just being able to see the defense,
- 50:55Speaker 35: quicker him hitting me quicker in my, routes like him
- 50:57Speaker 35: just being able to see things before it, happened just
- 50:59Speaker 35: being to read the defense.
- 51:00Speaker 16: Better it's definitely something that he stepped up.
- 51:02Speaker 23: In.
- 51:03Speaker 15: Now is that part of him, being you, know now
- 51:04Speaker 15: a veteran the system or is it more, like, hey
- 51:06Speaker 15: like this is just a veteran or a system that's
- 51:09Speaker 15: more friendly for QB's.
- 51:10Speaker 16: One, yeah it's a little bit of.
- 51:11Speaker 35: Both just, uh coach just running plays tell it to
- 51:14Speaker 35: him terms of his skill set and also him being a,
- 51:16Speaker 35: veteran just him being in THE sec for this his third,
- 51:19Speaker 35: year and him being able to read coverages and, yeah
- 51:21Speaker 35: like this is all coming coming together for one of
- 51:25Speaker 35: the biggest things.
- 51:25Speaker 32: You yourself want to improve on.
- 51:27Speaker 35: Individually my biggest THING i want to approve on is
- 51:30Speaker 35: just becoming a, leader becoming more detail in my routes
- 51:33Speaker 35: and just bringing to all the other guys with, me
- 51:35Speaker 35: and just being able to stay healthy throughout the. Season
- 51:38Speaker 35: just build my body armor SO i stay healthy and
- 51:40Speaker 35: yeah that's.
- 51:41Speaker 32: It, yeah you guys talking about watching film with other.
- 51:44Speaker 32: Players do you watch film with other? Guys and if,
- 51:46Speaker 32: so who might those?
- 51:47Speaker 16: Guys oh, yeah, definitely we all the. Receivers we always
- 51:49Speaker 16: get together and watch.
- 51:50Speaker 35: Film just being able to just detail our routes more
- 51:53Speaker 35: just us coaching each, other like be giving them, tips
- 51:55Speaker 35: us them giving me, tips just me us and, sale
- 51:59Speaker 35: just us being able to see the same thing on,
- 52:02Speaker 35: defense seeing the same, thing see the same Coverages that
- 52:04Speaker 35: just helped us out a.
- 52:05Speaker 25: Lot what is your process to address the things you
- 52:09Speaker 25: were just talking about running better?
- 52:11Speaker 21: Routes GETTING i, mean how much bigger do you want
- 52:14Speaker 21: to get when you say putting on your body on
- 52:17Speaker 21: and things like.
- 52:18Speaker 35: That oh, YEAH i just want to be, durable however
- 52:20Speaker 35: big that. IS i just want to be, during be
- 52:22Speaker 35: able to take hits and Nancyc you's gonna take a
- 52:24Speaker 35: lot of. Hits and just me just being out, coming
- 52:26Speaker 35: coming out here every, day just focused on the small,
- 52:28Speaker 35: things focused on my. Details i'm already they Say i'm
- 52:31Speaker 35: a good route, Runner SO i just like to detail that.
- 52:33Speaker 35: More just ask my coaches working on improving just being
- 52:36Speaker 35: able to trying to get a little better at every
- 52:38Speaker 35: some a little better at something every day and just
- 52:41Speaker 35: complete my.
- 52:41Speaker 21: Game are you doing some things away from just the
- 52:45Speaker 21: basic practice out?
- 52:46Speaker 35: There Coach echo also told us today that he don't
- 52:49Speaker 35: want us get extra. Work so he told, us as
- 52:51Speaker 35: long as you're going hard on the, field you're going
- 52:53Speaker 35: doing what you, got doing the feel you, want need
- 52:55Speaker 35: no extra. Work So i've been trying to lay off
- 52:56Speaker 35: the extra work and just go one hundred percent out
- 52:58Speaker 35: on the.
- 52:58Speaker 15: Field speaking of Which elcho Help hill talked about it
- 53:01Speaker 15: is a storm for transfer portals coming into his system
- 53:04Speaker 15: and somebody who came, in how would you describe? That
- 53:06Speaker 15: like that change from being where you work where you
- 53:08Speaker 15: are now and what's it been like for?
- 53:10Speaker 30: You?
- 53:10Speaker 35: Oh really it's been easy for me for, Real like
- 53:13Speaker 35: they welcomed me here like very. Easy Like Coach elko
- 53:16Speaker 35: WHEN i first got, here he told, me LIKE i
- 53:18Speaker 35: HAD i could have. Had people don't, KNOW i had
- 53:20Speaker 35: a couple of like character issues if you don't. Know
- 53:22Speaker 35: he kind of kind of took he kind of took
- 53:24Speaker 35: me in kind of took a chance on. Me he told, me,
- 53:26Speaker 35: like this is a, family this is a, Culture like
- 53:28Speaker 35: you're gonna change. Here you're gonna you're gonna you're gonna
- 53:30Speaker 35: become a. Guy you're gonna become who you want to be.
- 53:31Speaker 35: Here and that's ultimately what happened and it just turned out.
- 53:34Speaker 15: Well and so as nice a guy as he is
- 53:36Speaker 15: off the, field on the, fields he kind of flip
- 53:38Speaker 15: a switch and have a little part of.
- 53:39Speaker 35: Demeanor oh, Definitely like on the, Field elcho is a
- 53:42Speaker 35: completely different guy than he is off the.
- 53:43Speaker 32: Field how would you Describe isaiah's personality and just kind
- 53:47Speaker 32: of maybe how that's fit.
- 53:48Speaker 16: In oh, yeah say he's he's A bama. Guy him
- 53:51Speaker 16: being For.
- 53:51Speaker 35: Bama he got a little bit of dog in. Him
- 53:53Speaker 35: and you, know like say he's a. Competitor i've seen that.
- 53:55Speaker 35: Already he's a. Competitor anytime somebody changes, him he gonna
- 53:59Speaker 35: gonna step up to the.
