- 0:00>> Speaker A: jasmine, oolong, green
- 0:03and white. Long ago, these four
- 0:06teas were skilfully brewed at the blissful brew.
- 0:09Then everything changed when the shop's
- 0:11popularity threatened its existence.
- 0:14All Mr. Okuron, the shop's owner and tea
- 0:17master, could do was to recruit four teenage
- 0:20orphans to learn his trade and and staff his
- 0:23shop. A year has passed since the orphans were hired,
- 0:26and although their skills have progressed, they still have a lot
- 0:29to learn before they can brew anything. But I
- 0:32believe that they have the potential to make the blissful brew
- 0:35the greatest tea shop in the world.
- 0:38>> Speaker B: Last time on benders and brews and
- 0:40Avatar Legends podcast. We open on a
- 0:43scene as Wang long trails
- 0:46behind two guards with their arms around
- 0:49Brock Lee's shoulders, dragging him.
- 0:52A puff of the same pink misty
- 0:55smoke greets Brock, but as soon as he smells
- 0:58it, he starts to feel a little bit lethargic, a
- 1:01little bit slower. This is the
- 1:04Udao prison facility.
- 1:06>> Speaker C: Anyone know how to juggle?
- 1:07>> Speaker B: Mika, you approach, and there are two guards standing by the door. They're
- 1:10wearing these very strange, very tight masks that go all the
- 1:13way around their face.
- 1:14>> Speaker D: Hey, guys, you have
- 1:17a guy named Brock. Can I
- 1:20say hi to him?
- 1:21>> Speaker B: Are you his wife or something?
- 1:22>> Speaker D: Yeah, bro.
- 1:24>> Speaker E: Miko.
- 1:25>> Speaker B: What's up, dude?
- 1:27>> Speaker E: So good to see you.
- 1:28>> Speaker B: So you push a little bit harder with your bending in order to
- 1:31really freeze this up, to really break into this
- 1:34lock. Now, you know that there's a guard across the
- 1:36way.
- 1:37>> Speaker D: Wait, I'm gonna do the bend and snap.
- 1:40>> Speaker E: Stay away from my wife.
- 1:41>> Speaker D: He doesn't have time to react.
- 1:43>> Speaker F: Yeah, exactly. And then all of a sudden, boom.
- 1:45>> Speaker B: Brock just tackles this guy to the ground.
- 1:48>> Speaker D: You should have stole that guard's clothes.
- 1:50>> Speaker B: And you give Brock the clothes. Brock, you've
- 1:53got your outfit on. He goes back into town.
- 1:55You guys go away from town, kind of around.
- 1:58Whatever the case, Brock doubles back and then meets with you
- 2:01guys at the start of the tributary. You guys spend the rest of
- 2:04the day following the tributary, and
- 2:07before you stand a mountain
- 2:09amidst the mountain is what looks like an
- 2:12abandoned air nation
- 2:15temple.
- 2:20All, right. Welcome back, everybody, to another episode of benders and
- 2:23brews. Episode three. Well, specifically another
- 2:26episode. That episode being episode three. Just
- 2:29to clarify there, we're not doing another episode three. We
- 2:32haven't done episode three yet anyways. All of that.
- 2:35>> Speaker G: Well, we do have two other episode three still.
- 2:37>> Speaker B: Oh, yeah, that's true. We do. I suppose that's right, because we're on season
- 2:40three, which means we had a season. Episode three.
- 2:43>> Speaker F: Season two.
- 2:43>> Speaker B: And an episode three, season one, which.
- 2:45>> Speaker D: Means if you've not watched, heard any of the episodes,
- 2:48what the heck are you doing?
- 2:49>> Speaker B: Right? That's right. Thank you, Michaela, for reminding them to go check
- 2:52out the rest of the show, if you haven't already. But I'm going to
- 2:55assume that for the most part, you're here because you've
- 2:57listened up until this point and you are excited to
- 3:00hear what's going to happen next. We just got
- 3:03Brock out of prison, a fire nation prison where he was being
- 3:06held that was filled with a gas that would
- 3:09kind of, more or less nullify
- 3:12the potential for people to break out. But
- 3:15they apparently did not expect the
- 3:18idea of a potential visitor to the
- 3:20prison helping to break a prisoner out. And that's
- 3:23exactly what happened. And now the four of you,
- 3:26who, I will have introduce here in a moment, are standing at
- 3:29the foot of an
- 3:31abandoned air nation temple.
- 3:34So before we go any further, that's a little recap there, but before
- 3:37we go any further, let's talk about
- 3:40your characters, so that way everybody remembers who you are and what
- 3:43you sound like. I'm going to go the opposite direction as I went last time.
- 3:46So, starting to my left, Cameron,
- 3:49who are you, and what's the interesting fact about your
- 3:51character?
- 3:53>> Speaker C: I'm Cameron.
- 3:54>> Speaker B: I play.
- 3:57>> Speaker C: A, fun fact about Bildor is
- 4:00when he was younger, when he
- 4:03was in school training with his bow
- 4:05staff, they were doing an interesting training
- 4:08regiment, where
- 4:11it was art day, and they were putting our bow
- 4:14staffs in paint, and then they were, like,
- 4:17practicing bow staff moves, and then they're like, we're
- 4:20going to paint a portrait where you stick
- 4:23your two ends of your bow staff
- 4:26so much. What?
- 4:28>> Speaker D: Just why you love to paint so much.
- 4:30>> Speaker C: No, that was because my mother. Anyways, he would
- 4:33do painting with his bow staff,
- 4:35and, one day he did the color
- 4:38purple, and everything went
- 4:41horribly wrong. And purple
- 4:44was everywhere. It should not have been
- 4:46everywhere, and it got in spots.
- 4:49It should not have been. Bill, was
- 4:52finding purple many days later in the
- 4:54shower. that's all. I will.
- 4:57>> Speaker B: Was he harshly scolded for it by the teacher?
- 5:00>> Speaker C: Very much so. it was referred to as the purple
- 5:03incident. Whenever anyone
- 5:05mentioned the purple incident, everyone would look at
- 5:08Bill and he would turn
- 5:11bright purple. Well, not really.
- 5:13>> Speaker F: You can't.
- 5:17>> Speaker B: Breathe purple and embarrassment now.
- 5:19>> Speaker C: He would turn red and embarrassment, but yes, the purple.
- 5:22Use purple paint now, because that Bill
- 5:26strongly dislikes the color purple.
- 5:28>> Speaker H: Oh, okay.
- 5:28>> Speaker G: All right.
- 5:30>> Speaker B: Good to know. He has an aversion to purple.
- 5:32>> Speaker H: Yeah.
- 5:32>> Speaker B: All right, we'll keep that in mind. The GM will put all
- 5:35sorts of purple things into the game now.
- 5:38>> Speaker F: No.
- 5:39>> Speaker B: awesome. So next up we got Connor. Connor, who are you
- 5:42playing? And what's the deal with who you're playing?
- 5:45>> Speaker E: I am Connor and I'm m playing Brock Lee,
- 5:47the 17 year old
- 5:50earthbender. something
- 5:53about him that you may not know is,
- 5:55ah, at times, if he just needs to chill to
- 5:58himself, he can be, standing on like
- 6:01a stone floor, like just
- 6:04outside on the gravel. He can sort of
- 6:06make his own stone elevator, just kind
- 6:09of slowly lower himself down
- 6:13below the ground and
- 6:16he could seal the top if he really wanted to. But then it's
- 6:18dark and then you run oxygen.
- 6:21>> Speaker G: He might fall asleep.
- 6:22>> Speaker E: He might fall asleep and then you run out of oxygen. You know how
- 6:25it is.
- 6:25>> Speaker B: Isn't that a minecraft thing? Like you just dig the hole and then you
- 6:28fill it up over the top?
- 6:31>> Speaker G: No, that's how, Brock sleeps is the Minecraft
- 6:33method. If he's out in the wild.
- 6:36>> Speaker H: Right.
- 6:36>> Speaker B: It's safer that way. Yeah, fair enough.
- 6:39>> Speaker E: You don't get killed by zombies.
- 6:40>> Speaker B: That's right. What creepers.
- 6:42>> Speaker G: That was one of his facts in season one.
- 6:47>> Speaker B: This is a slight differentiation from that.
- 6:50See, this is why, Dave is like our resident,
- 6:53what do you call that? Like, knowledge keeper, historian.
- 6:56Oh, you are the he who knows 10,000 things.
- 7:00>> Speaker G: Now, I did start making a list of all our
- 7:02previous facts so I wouldn't repeat
- 7:05them, which is funny because I might repeat one just
- 7:08now because I haven't finished.
- 7:11>> Speaker B: Fair enough. Well, we'll get to that in just a moment. But
- 7:13first, Michaela, who are you playing
- 7:16and what's up with them?
- 7:19>> Speaker D: I play Mika. Sometimes she's depressing, sometimes
- 7:22she's hilarious.
- 7:23>> Speaker B: Sometimes she's really flirty with the guards.
- 7:25>> Speaker D: She is what she needs to be.
- 7:27>> Speaker B: That's right. She's very, adept at her
- 7:29versatile skill set.
- 7:31>> Speaker D: Yeah, I don't. Yep. she
- 7:35has very vivid dreams
- 7:38and they're very cool. Usually
- 7:41there's a good plot storyline. She
- 7:44wakes up thinking, hey, I should write
- 7:47this down. This is going to be a dope story.
- 7:50And she immediately forgets things as, she's trying to
- 7:53write them down.
- 7:53>> Speaker B: Yeah, I know what that's like. And then you never do get to write them
- 7:56down because you always forget the time that you wake up.
- 7:59>> Speaker D: Usually I'll just remember who's in my dream and
- 8:02maybe some of the setting and that's about it.
- 8:04>> Speaker B: Right.
- 8:05>> Speaker D: Just little bits and pieces, and it's not really
- 8:07useful.
- 8:10>> Speaker B: she hasn't reached that point where she has
- 8:13control of the dream. She just experiences.
- 8:15>> Speaker D: She usually can tell when she's dreaming, but she
- 8:18can't do anything about the dream.
- 8:20>> Speaker B: Got you. Gosh, that's a frustrating
- 8:22spot to be in.
- 8:23>> Speaker G: Does she think the dreams are her ancestors
- 8:26trying to communicate to her?
- 8:28>> Speaker D: Yeah.
- 8:29>> Speaker G: Is that a southern water tribe thing?
- 8:31>> Speaker B: Yeah, it sounds like, it.
- 8:32>> Speaker D: Some of them. Some of them, she thinks it's her
- 8:35enemies trying to communicate with her, but
- 8:38that's a whole nother thing.
- 8:40>> Speaker B: Sounds tense. Awesome.
- 8:43All right, sounds good. jump in finally
- 8:46to Dave. Dave, who are you playing and what's his
- 8:48deal?
- 8:49>> Speaker G: Guohan is who I'm playing. The
- 8:51earthbender. Guo also has a
- 8:54dream. but his dream is
- 8:57to hopefully one day
- 9:00expand the food menu
- 9:02portion of the blissful brew.
- 9:05Or if that doesn't work out, to open
- 9:08a sister restaurant, maybe, like, right next to it.
- 9:10>> Speaker G: Like different hours or something, or just
- 9:13repurpose, have his own
- 9:15food he serves in the blissful brew,
- 9:18not during their busy times.
- 9:20>> Speaker B: Oh, okay. I don't see why not. And
- 9:23unbeknownst to globe, but Bill, has been
- 9:26taking some cooking lessons. I feel like there's a, ah,
- 9:29solid potential for that.
- 9:30>> Speaker G: Might be able to help as one of the.
- 9:33He could probably be the sous chef.
- 9:35>> Speaker B: Yeah, well, and to top it off,
- 9:38tea, you drink that at any point. It's not like a breakfast
- 9:40thing, necessarily. I know in today's society, you get a tea
- 9:43shop. It's probably pretty popular during
- 9:46more earlier hours of the day, kind of like coffee shops.
- 9:49But in reality, tea can be drink whenever. And
- 9:52then if you put food, that means you could have food all
- 9:54day, wouldn't have to be breakfast
- 9:57food. So that's cool. I think that'd be great.
- 9:59>> Speaker F: Awesome.
- 10:00>> Speaker B: Well, that's all of our characters, so let's
- 10:03jump on into the story and watch them do their
- 10:06thing with another episode of Benders.
- 10:08>> Speaker G: Don't you mean listen?
- 10:11>> Speaker B: Yes, listen.
- 10:17So, all right, as I mentioned before, you guys
- 10:20find yourselves looking up at this sort of small
- 10:23mountain space, and amidst,
- 10:26the sort of on the mountain. In the mountain, whatever you want
- 10:29to call it, is an
- 10:31abandoned air temple. You know, it's
- 10:34abandoned partially because you can see that some of the
- 10:37paint and so on and so forth is kind of worn down.
- 10:40there might even be, like a collapsed building,
- 10:43like a small shed or maybe even a little
- 10:46hut or something has kind of. Just kind of fallen into
- 10:48disrepair. and then to top it off, you don't see
- 10:51air nomads that are just flying about. Whether or not any of you
- 10:53have experienced an air nomad temple or
- 10:56anything like that before, kind of just depends. But
- 10:59whatever the case, you don't see any currently. So you're kind of
- 11:02alluded to the idea that nobody lives here,
- 11:05or at least not many. You do
- 11:08know that Okaran and his note have
- 11:11mentioned a guru, tapik, which was an old
- 11:14friend of his, or maybe he had just mentioned it was an old friend
- 11:17of his, and you'll find out that his name. But whatever the
- 11:19case, and that's who you're supposed to meet here.
- 11:22So you guys kind of follow. There's like a little bit of a trail, and you
- 11:25head up the mountain. And sure enough, as you reach to the top,
- 11:28standing right on the outside of kind of the main entrance of the temple, which is
- 11:31sort of the centerpiece of this entire little air
- 11:34village, is an old man. He's
- 11:37balding. He's got the sort of traditional
- 11:40air arrows on his head and the
- 11:43rest of his body.
- 11:43>> Speaker D: Most air people bald.
- 11:46>> Speaker B: Yeah.
- 11:47>> Speaker D: How's he balding?
- 11:49>> Speaker B: Did I say balding?
- 11:50>> Speaker D: I thought you said balding.
- 11:52>> Speaker B: Balding is a pretty unique. Yeah, he's got a little bit of
- 11:55hair coming out the side.
- 11:57>> Speaker G: The markings of a master.
- 11:59>> Speaker B: Yes, that too. Yeah, he has the air
- 12:02markings in very simple, traditional
- 12:05air nomad robes, the orange robes and so on and so
- 12:08forth. And he just smiles.
- 12:11He's got a bit of facial hair, so he's not balding on his face,
- 12:14but he is on his head. and he sees you all and.
- 12:17>> Speaker H: He says, well, hello. I've been
- 12:20expecting you. My name is
- 12:22Kuru Tapik. You must be
- 12:25Okoran's friends.
- 12:26>> Speaker I: How could you tell?
- 12:27>> Speaker G: Do we look like orphans?
- 12:30>> Speaker H: Maybe a little bit, but not in a bad way by
- 12:33any means.
- 12:34>> Speaker D: Well, how do you know it's us and not some, like,
- 12:37other random children running around?
- 12:40>> Speaker H: I'll give you two reasons that make me believe
- 12:43you're the people I've been waiting for.
- 12:45One, this temple is fairly
- 12:48isolated from any nearby cities. Most
- 12:51kids don't come around here. And
- 12:54two, those that do seem to believe
- 12:57this place is haunted and, are fairly adamant
- 13:00about going around rather than approaching the
- 13:03front gate.
- 13:03>> Speaker D: Is it haunted?
- 13:04>> Speaker F: Is it?
- 13:05>> Speaker H: No, the temple is not actually
- 13:08haunted.
- 13:08>> Speaker E: Kind of makes it seem a little more.
- 13:10>> Speaker H: I hate to disappoint. How exactly
- 13:13would you define haunted?
- 13:15>> Speaker D: Are there spirits?
- 13:17>> Speaker H: M well, we do have
- 13:20those. I guess it is haunted.
- 13:22>> Speaker D: Are they vengeful spirits?
- 13:25>> Speaker H: No, not vengeful. Just hungry.
- 13:29>> Speaker D: Hungry for souls.
- 13:31>> Speaker H: Oh, no. The spirit that resides
- 13:34here has no interest in eating your soul.
- 13:37The flesh on your bones will do just fine.
- 13:40Okay, but we'll get to
- 13:42that in due time.
- 13:44>> Speaker D: I don't know if I want to get to that.
- 13:47>> Speaker B: it's starting to kind of get.
- 13:48>> Speaker H: Dark outside, and he says, but
- 13:51it seems that it is getting rather late,
- 13:54and I'm sure you're all quite weary from your
- 13:56travels. Please make
- 13:58yourselves at home. There are many rooms available.
- 14:02Since no one else resides at the temple except for
- 14:05myself, feel free to sleep anywhere you'd
- 14:07like. Once the sun rises, we can
- 14:10begin your journey into the temple and retrieve
- 14:13what Okura left.
- 14:15>> Speaker D: what about the flesh eating?
- 14:17>> Speaker C: How am I supposed to trust this guy?
- 14:20My parents told me not to go down strange, dark
- 14:23tunnels with strangers.
- 14:24>> Speaker H: Well, your parents certainly taught you well.
- 14:27But I assure you, you won't
- 14:30be entering any dark tunnels tonight.
- 14:33So if you're willing to trust a stranger through the
- 14:36night outside of the dark tunnels,
- 14:39maybe in the morning we can reassess the idea
- 14:42of traveling with a stranger into a dark
- 14:45tunnel. If that works for you.
- 14:47>> Speaker D: Well, I would hope that you might
- 14:50not be a stranger.
- 14:52>> Speaker H: Of course. I completely understand.
- 14:55I apologize. You see, I've been stuck
- 14:58up here by myself on this mountain for
- 15:01quite some time now. Only
- 15:04interaction I get, day to day is entirely within
- 15:06my own head.
- 15:08>> Speaker D: That's a little depressing.
- 15:09>> Speaker H: Well, I like to think that I make pretty good
- 15:12company.
- 15:13>> Speaker B: He leads you, not even into the temple. Like I
- 15:16said, there's just random houses and
- 15:18huts, and you really just have your pick. He kind of just points
- 15:21out some of them, and, the beds are actually
- 15:24pretty well kept. It looks like he was ready for you guys. He
- 15:27knew you guys were coming. as you remember from
- 15:30some of the other people that you've talked to that Mr. Okran sent you to meet
- 15:33with, or whatever the case, usually there was a letter. Like
- 15:36when you guys were in Udao and you met with Mayu yinyu. he kind
- 15:39of had an idea that you guys might be coming. He
- 15:42didn't know about Okaran's death, obviously, until you told
- 15:45him, but he had an idea that you guys were coming because Okaran had
- 15:48sent him a letter. You wonder if the same thing might be the case for
- 15:51guru Topek. because, again, there's, like, beds that are
- 15:54made, and they've got clean linens and things like that
- 15:57on them ready for you. So you guys kind,
- 16:00of like, just get yourselves situated in each one of the rooms, and
- 16:02then you start to smell something
- 16:05really nice, and you come out and you find guru
- 16:08Tupique is, he's got a big old pot, and
- 16:10he's stirring something inside the.
- 16:12>> Speaker H: Pot, and he says, I see you must have caught whiff of my
- 16:15cooking. I must apologize
- 16:17beforehand. I've only been cooking for one
- 16:20for quite some time, so I hope my food is
- 16:23adequate to your taste.
- 16:25>> Speaker D: I don't think I want your cooking.
- 16:27>> Speaker H: Oh, well, I simply wanted to
- 16:30whip up a nutritious dish to help us with the
- 16:33trials of tomorrow.
- 16:34>> Speaker D: Well, you know, with the whole stranger thing
- 16:37and the flesh eating.
- 16:38>> Speaker B: I'll have her beer portion.
- 16:40>> Speaker H: Certainly there's plenty to go around.
- 16:46>> Speaker D: Wow. Knock you out and feed
- 16:48your flesh to the spirit in the basement of this
- 16:51mountain.
- 16:52>> Speaker H: Well, if it makes you feel safer,
- 16:55I'm more than happy to take the first bite
- 16:58to show you it's safe.
- 17:00>> Speaker D: You got to have a bite on.
- 17:01>> Speaker C: My second bowl, bro. Quite good.
- 17:04>> Speaker B: You already started eating it.
- 17:07All right.
- 17:07>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 17:08>> Speaker B: So, he's doing, like, a seaweed stew. I woke
- 17:11up early, so it's very
- 17:14simple, but it's warm
- 17:16and refreshing for those that are eating it.
- 17:20It's warm and refreshing. how many bowls down are
- 17:22you?
- 17:24>> Speaker C: Like, three?
- 17:25>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 17:25>> Speaker B: I knew it. He ate too much at the prison. Yeah,
- 17:28it's starting to kind of kick in now. I mean, it's totally up to
- 17:31you if you eat as the GM. I don't really carry the
- 17:34way you do you. Up to you. But whatever the case, it's like a
- 17:37seaweed stew. Very simple. Nothing,
- 17:39like incredible. He maybe throws in
- 17:42some fancy spices or something, kind of
- 17:45gives it some life. But there's no meat involved
- 17:48because many of the air nomads are typically vegetarian.
- 17:51>> Speaker D: Yeah, because we're the flesh for the monster.
- 17:53>> Speaker B: Oh, yeah, that's true. I didn't think about
- 17:57know. He just kind of sits there and he eats.
- 18:00>> Speaker H: He's, like,
- 18:01delicious. So how did you
- 18:04come to meet Okran?
- 18:06>> Speaker D: Do you actually want to hear each of our stories? Because they're all
- 18:09different.
- 18:09>> Speaker B: Listen to the prequels.
- 18:12>> Speaker E: You should listen to benders.
- 18:14>> Speaker B: And if you are asking the same question as guru
- 18:17tapique and want to know how they all met Mr. Okran, then go
- 18:20listen to the prequel episodes we release between
- 18:23seasons one and two. They are fantastic.
- 18:25>> Speaker G: I'm very proud of them.
- 18:26>> Speaker B: But whatever the case, I mean, you guys can just
- 18:29say that you give him an overview. Pirate
- 18:31ship.
- 18:32>> Speaker H: Oh, pirates, you say save me from
- 18:35a carnival and a carnival.
- 18:38Did he save you from the big wheel that they strap you
- 18:40to and throw knives at you?
- 18:42>> Speaker G: I did have to do that a few times,
- 18:45but the knife thrower was a good guy. I
- 18:48trusted him. But the owner was terrible. He was mean.
- 18:51>> Speaker D: He saved me from people who wanted a pound of my
- 18:54flesh.
- 18:55>> Speaker H: Well, a flesh eating people, you
- 18:57say? That certainly sounds
- 19:00traumatizing. I could see why you're so
- 19:03afraid of this spirit I mentioned earlier.
- 19:06What about you, big fella?
- 19:08>> Speaker E: I kind of just showed up at his tea shop like a stray
- 19:11cat one night, and he just kind of took me in.
- 19:14>> Speaker H: You don't say. Well, if there
- 19:17was one thing I knew about Okoran
- 19:20was that he was a kind spirit who was
- 19:23always willing to help those in need.
- 19:25>> Speaker E: He does bring off those vibes.
- 19:27>> Speaker G: So, how did you know Mr. Okaran?
- 19:29>> Speaker H: Well, now, that's quite a story, actually. Do you
- 19:32want to hear the long version or the short version?
- 19:35>> Speaker D: Probably the short we gotta
- 19:38get.
- 19:40>> Speaker B: There's a pretty decent amount of. I mean. You mean like a whole
- 19:43big pot, like you see in cartoons?
- 19:45>> Speaker D: Like a cauldron?
- 19:46>> Speaker B: Yeah, like, almost like cauldron's worth. Maybe like a
- 19:48small cauldron, not like.
- 19:50>> Speaker D: A full size, like, hocus pocus
- 19:53cauldron.
- 19:54>> Speaker E: Let's go.
- 19:55>> Speaker G: Long version.
- 19:55>> Speaker E: We got some stew to eat.
- 19:57>> Speaker I: well, then, let me start from the
- 19:59beginning. When I was but a young
- 20:02airbending boy, way back during the early days
- 20:05of Avatar Roku, those of us within
- 20:08the fire nation felt that we had reached a certain
- 20:11level of spiritual awakening, that we should
- 20:14share this power with the rest of the world.
- 20:18At that time, we had a close bond with the
- 20:20leaders of the Fire nation, and they were
- 20:23willing to help build and develop what would become
- 20:26known as the fire and Air Nation center
- 20:29of learning. It was an exciting
- 20:32time, to say the least, and I was
- 20:35among the many who moved here to help in the
- 20:38construction of this learning center.
- 20:41Unfortunately, this endeavor faced
- 20:44opposition in the form of a group of
- 20:46airbenders who referred to themselves
- 20:49as the guiding wind. They believed that by
- 20:52partnering with the fire nation representatives and
- 20:55nobles, the teaching of the air nation
- 20:57would be demoralized,
- 21:00corrupted by those who would have
- 21:02ulterior motives and agendas.
- 21:05They did everything they could to
- 21:07terrorize and slow the construction
- 21:10process. It got so bad that
- 21:13fire Lord Shozin sent military force to
- 21:16fight against a group of terrorists to
- 21:19stop them from harassing the facility.
- 21:22But the constant battling kept any progress
- 21:25from being made, till eventually the
- 21:28air nation decided to concede the project
- 21:30altogether. The fire nation pulled
- 21:33their military force, and once the
- 21:36guiding wind caught word that they had given up,
- 21:39they too soon left.
- 21:42Slowly, over time, the air
- 21:45nomads that had come to this temple
- 21:48started heading back to whichever corners they had
- 21:51come from, till only I was left
- 21:54here alone to watch over all we had tried to build.
- 21:57Now it's just me here on Mount
- 22:00Kenkyo. All alone. Oh,
- 22:02well, I was alone
- 22:05until Okran came to this mountain.
- 22:08He must have saw it from a distance while
- 22:11traveling from Yudao. He must have stopped to
- 22:14take refuge and rest, not knowing that I was
- 22:16living here. We met, chatted for some
- 22:19time, late into the night. He
- 22:22told me he had just come from the fire nation,
- 22:25where he had a bit of negative relationship with a woman
- 22:28there. If I remember, the two of them had
- 22:31attempted to create a tea shop together.
- 22:34Something went wrong. I cannot remember
- 22:36what. He said her name was.
- 22:39>> Speaker E: Madame Yang.
- 22:40>> Speaker I: Yes, madame, Yang. That sounds right.
- 22:43Anyway, he decided to stay
- 22:46here on the mountain with me for a few days, and we
- 22:49traded tea making tricks.
- 22:52as short of a time as it was, I
- 22:55believe that we came to be good friends.
- 22:59When he finally had to leave, he told me to visit
- 23:01him in the city of Gao Ling. He was
- 23:04planning to start a tea shop. Encouraged me to
- 23:07visit should I ever be traveling through.
- 23:10We wrote letters back and forth between each
- 23:13other. But then, a week or so
- 23:15ago, I received what would be his
- 23:18final letter. He mentioned that
- 23:21he had met some amazing kids during his
- 23:24journey, that he had taken in, that
- 23:26he had been helping them, and that they had
- 23:29been helping him with his tea shop. He
- 23:32said that business had been great,
- 23:35things were going well. But then
- 23:38started mentioning he was
- 23:40fearful that something might happen
- 23:43to him. And if it did, he
- 23:46asked me if I would be kind enough to help the
- 23:48children, who he would send here
- 23:51to direct them to the clue he had left for all of
- 23:54you. That same night, I had a
- 23:57vision. I found myself floating
- 24:00amidst a beautiful void, shimmering
- 24:03with strange, glowing orbs. Lights
- 24:06faintly blinking amidst the darkness.
- 24:09I looked behind me and saw, myself.
- 24:12I was attached to some sort of tether,
- 24:15a rope like leash that seemed to
- 24:18drift off deep into the abyss.
- 24:21Then I, saw him.
- 24:23Okoran. He was drifting
- 24:26amidst a void with me. And as I lifted
- 24:29my astral hand to wave at him,
- 24:32I watched as his leash seemed to split from
- 24:34itself. And my friend
- 24:38began to fade. His mortal
- 24:41coil was severed. He faded as
- 24:43his life force dissolved. It was after
- 24:46I awoke from this vision that I
- 24:49knew that my friend was gone. So
- 24:52I went about following through with what
- 24:55Okura's letter had said,
- 24:57preparing things for your arrival. And that
- 25:00brings us to this very moment here.
- 25:03>> Speaker H: Wow.
- 25:04>> Speaker E: So, what exactly do you want to do with us
- 25:07while we're here? What are we doing here?
- 25:10>> Speaker H: Well, as the letter instructed, al Koran
- 25:13insisted that this whole ordeal
- 25:16was supposed to be an opportunity for the group of
- 25:18you to learn to grow by working
- 25:21together. So he had made use
- 25:24of some of the temple's inner features to create
- 25:27a series of five trials for you to
- 25:29pass.
- 25:30>> Speaker E: He knew we'd be on a time crunch, and he's having us do
- 25:33these trials.
- 25:34>> Speaker F: Proc.
- 25:34>> Speaker C: He didn't know we were going to be on a time crunch. he didn't know
- 25:37he was going to die.
- 25:40>> Speaker B: Well, he sees, sir, he was.
- 25:42>> Speaker C: Stabbed in the back.
- 25:44>> Speaker H: Oh, my. Such a cowardly
- 25:47way to take someone's life. Yeah.
- 25:50Do you know who it was who killed him?
- 25:52>> Speaker B: I don't know.
- 25:53>> Speaker C: Some wild coyote, boars or something.
- 25:55>> Speaker E: We took care of them.
- 25:57>> Speaker H: I tell you what I see.
- 26:00>> Speaker C: The reason we're on a time crunch is
- 26:03we need to procure. I think that's the
- 26:06right word. Procure. The will to
- 26:09keep ownership of the tea shop. Because the
- 26:12madame Yang, as was mentioned before in your
- 26:15story, she wants to buy it and then turn it
- 26:18into her own tea shop.
- 26:19>> Speaker E: So, what are these trials?
- 26:21>> Speaker H: Well, it would take away from a lot of the fun
- 26:24if I told you what they were going to be. Right
- 26:27now, all I'm allowed to say is that I
- 26:29promise I will be with every step
- 26:32the way through the trials. Although Akoran's,
- 26:35letter insisted that I not offer any
- 26:38help with completing or overcoming
- 26:40them.
- 26:41>> Speaker G: Well, that might be hard to do with all this talk
- 26:44of flesh eating spirits, but I'll see
- 26:47what I can do.
- 26:48>> Speaker B: And he takes the last couple bites of
- 26:51his stew, and then he heads off into the air
- 26:54temple.
- 26:54>> Speaker H: Then I will see you all in the morning.
- 26:58>> Speaker D: I don't know what's happening tonight, but I'm m asleep with
- 27:01my back against the wall, my pup
- 27:04on the underground with my pup on my lap, not
- 27:07on the.
- 27:07>> Speaker E: Yes, the fox dog, which definitely exists.
- 27:10>> Speaker G: Yeah, I'm no chump. I'm sleeping up here, where
- 27:13the spirits can't get me. And Guo sets
- 27:16his hammock up
- 27:19like some earth bending to make
- 27:22some rock spurs and ties it to that.
- 27:25Up in the ceiling.
- 27:27>> Speaker E: Brock just sleeps underground.
- 27:30>> Speaker C: Bill grabs his bow staff,
- 27:34rests up in his cot, and
- 27:37he just holds the bow staff all night long,
- 27:40cuddles.
- 27:40>> Speaker B: With his bow staff. That's right. So numbs it.
- 27:42>> Speaker E: Not one of us trusts this guy. That's kind of the vibe
- 27:45I'm getting.
- 27:46>> Speaker B: As you guys are sleeping, you
- 27:49don't hear, but he slowly, silently
- 27:52approaches you, and suddenly you're jolted awake
- 27:55as a pie is splatted in your face.
- 27:57>> Speaker F: No, I'm totally kidding.
- 27:58>> Speaker B: You guys wake up the next morning and you're fine.
- 28:10>> Speaker A: Hey, everyone. Skyler here. Are you a fan of session zero

- 28:47>> Speaker B: Nothing happened in the night. Everything
- 28:50is how it was. When you wake up in the morning, you
- 28:53step outside, you feel refreshed. If you have,
- 28:56any exhaustion, any
- 28:59fatigue, that would have counted towards, I think,
- 29:02subtracting three fatigue, if I remember
- 29:04correctly.
- 29:05>> Speaker C: Hooray.
- 29:07>> Speaker D: Well, good thing I only have one.
- 29:09>> Speaker B: Well, there you now you got none. Or, well, you're
- 29:12full, I guess. And, yeah, you're feeling good.
- 29:15Guru Tapik, he meets you at
- 29:17the front door of the temple, and he.
- 29:20>> Speaker H: Says, good morning, everyone. I hope you
- 29:23all slept well last night. No time to
- 29:26doddle and dilly, daddy. Let's get straight to
- 29:29the trials.
- 29:30>> Speaker B: Just to clarify for those listening and for you guys here.
- 29:33So you are at the beginning of the fourth day of
- 29:36your seven day time limit. So you are
- 29:39officially past the halfway point.
- 29:41>> Speaker D: Are we halfway through our trials?
- 29:43>> Speaker B: I think you're technically a little further than halfway, if you think about
- 29:45it.
- 29:46>> Speaker D: Okay, well, then we're making good time.
- 29:48>> Speaker B: Yeah, or you're either at, halfway. You're a little
- 29:51bit past the halfway.
- 29:52>> Speaker D: It's all right. We'll figure it out later.
- 29:54>> Speaker G: Yeah, give me, like, Majora's mask
- 29:57flashbacks.
- 29:58>> Speaker H: I know you all said you're on a time crunch,
- 30:01so the sooner we get these done, the sooner you can
- 30:04move on to the next stage of your journey.
- 30:07>> Speaker D: What do we need?
- 30:08>> Speaker H: Well, whatever you've got, I suppose.
- 30:11>> Speaker D: Then I guess we're ready all right.
- 30:13>> Speaker C: Do you have any cool hats?
- 30:14>> Speaker H: I do not. We do not really wear
- 30:17hats in the air nation.
- 30:19>> Speaker C: What if that's one of the trials?
- 30:21>> Speaker H: Well, then I hope you brought one.
- 30:23>> Speaker G: M, I had one, but I
- 30:26lost.
- 30:27>> Speaker B: That's right, you did. The captain's hat
- 30:30shoot.
- 30:31>> Speaker C: We might need that.
- 30:32>> Speaker H: You know, a wise Airbnb
- 30:35once told me that some things that are
- 30:38lost are only as far as where
- 30:41you last saw them.
- 30:43>> Speaker D: All right, let's go.
- 30:46>> Speaker B: All right, so there's a steep walk
- 30:49down to the first trial. As you guys follow
- 30:51this, it's well carved out in the
- 30:54walls of this cave, so it doesn't even feel like you're really walking through
- 30:57a mountain or walking through a cave. It feels like you're just kind of
- 31:00walking down a slow declining passageway.
- 31:03Whatever the case, the first trial sits inside a cavern
- 31:06room above a deposit of lava
- 31:09that flows beneath the rocks. But it leaves the
- 31:12stones on the pathway across hot
- 31:15to the touch. On either side of the narrow
- 31:18passage, which spans 100ft, is a narrow
- 31:21ledge and a stoned wall with many holes in
- 31:23it. As you watch, you can see puffs
- 31:26of hot air randomly blast through the
- 31:29various holes that are in this wall. Now, in
- 31:32theory, you could safely walk across along
- 31:35the rock ledge and not burn your feet on the
- 31:38hot floor below, but you would have to
- 31:41carefully do so without being blasted by the bursts of hot
- 31:44air that are coming through these holes in the wall. If you've
- 31:46seen, wipeout. Wipeout. Thank you. If you've seen
- 31:49wipeout, you kind of know what I'm talking about here.
- 31:52And, guru tapiki, he kind of
- 31:55gestures, across the pathway, and he.
- 31:57>> Speaker H: Says, now, an airbender would have an easy
- 32:00time getting through this little obstacle here. We
- 32:03can sense the movement of the air. We'd
- 32:06easily be able to quickly dodge out of the way
- 32:09of the puffs of hot breeze.
- 32:12>> Speaker I: That, or we just use an air.
- 32:14>> Speaker H: Glider to fly to the other end.
- 32:16>> Speaker D: Aren't all the elements connected in some way or
- 32:19one another?
- 32:20>> Speaker F: Ah.
- 32:20>> Speaker H: yes, you are certainly correct.
- 32:23Although, unfortunately for
- 32:26us, one cannot wield the powers afforded
- 32:28by all of the elements. Unless, of
- 32:31course, you are the avatar.
- 32:34>> Speaker D: But, you know, water and air, they move
- 32:36similarly. Use my interpretive
- 32:39water dance skills and we'll be
- 32:41good.
- 32:42>> Speaker E: you could just bend some water.
- 32:44>> Speaker C: Over the lava, right?
- 32:45>> Speaker E: Get some obsidian.
- 32:46>> Speaker D: Where am I going to find enough water
- 32:48lava?
- 32:49>> Speaker B: So the lava runs underneath the rocks.
- 32:52>> Speaker F: So at least the rocks hot.
- 32:54>> Speaker B: Yeah, because you could just straight walk across there, but there's
- 32:57a raised section that would be not
- 32:59hot.
- 33:00>> Speaker C: Bill is staring at Brock, and he
- 33:03goes, doesn't this look
- 33:05familiar, Brock?
- 33:07>> Speaker E: Yeah.
- 33:08>> Speaker C: So what did we learn last time, bro?
- 33:11>> Speaker E: Run right over the hot
- 33:14rock.
- 33:14>> Speaker C: That's correct. They may be rocks, but
- 33:17they're still hot.
- 33:19>> Speaker B: I love the plugs we get to make throughout. If you don't know what
- 33:22we're talking about, check out the bill and Brock one show.
- 33:24>> Speaker C: Also, fun fact. and he's
- 33:27talking to. What's his name?
- 33:28>> Speaker B: Guru tapi?
- 33:30>> Speaker F: Brock.
- 33:30>> Speaker C: and I actually, his name was
- 33:35Brock, and I actually have air glided.
- 33:38>> Speaker H: Have you, now? Oh, we have.
- 33:40>> Speaker C: Yeah, he was a lot better than I was at it. I almost
- 33:43died.
- 33:44>> Speaker H: Well, looks like we've got a young
- 33:46airbender in the making, I see. Hailing from the
- 33:49earth kingdom, no less. Talk about
- 33:52opposites attracting.
- 33:53>> Speaker C: I'm a stick bender.
- 33:55>> Speaker E: You could say I'm the next
- 33:57avatar.
- 33:58>> Speaker B: I won't say it, but I won't say
- 34:01it either, after how I saw you handle those hot rocks in the
- 34:04cave that day. Okay, he stepped guy.
- 34:07>> Speaker C: Get this, guys. And he's looking at Guo and
- 34:10Mika. He goes, get this. The guy said,
- 34:12I could get across.
- 34:13>> Speaker B: This room, and it was just a.
- 34:15>> Speaker C: Bunch of hot rocks. And he proceeded to step on the very first one,
- 34:18and then he was hurt for the rest of the day. Do you guys remember when
- 34:20we got back and he had that wrapping around his
- 34:23foot?
- 34:24>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 34:24>> Speaker D: I'm so glad I don't actually have a child with this
- 34:27guy.
- 34:29>> Speaker B: That's true.
- 34:30>> Speaker F: You do know.
- 34:30>> Speaker B: Anyways, that wrapping on his foot.
- 34:32>> Speaker C: Was because he stepped on hot rocks after I flat up told
- 34:35him, don't step on the hot rocks.
- 34:37>> Speaker G: I remember that. Yeah, I had to run all the orders because
- 34:40he was. Can't.
- 34:43>> Speaker E: I'm just the dishwasher.
- 34:44>> Speaker B: That's part of your job.
- 34:46>> Speaker C: Well, he runs the orders out to us, and then we take it
- 34:49from there. But he made guo do extra, and
- 34:52he sat in a chair the whole day. I bet you didn't, like,
- 34:58hear him in the back. He says his air temple
- 35:01is haunted. Apparently, people think that. Well, our
- 35:04tea shop sounded haunted. Hearing Brock's moans
- 35:07from the kitchen.
- 35:10>> Speaker B: It was hot, all right.
- 35:12>> Speaker C: Do you remember how we got past that?
- 35:14>> Speaker E: I remember we blew up some guys, like
- 35:17secret lab.
- 35:18>> Speaker C: Okay, that was the very end of our adventure.
- 35:21>> Speaker B: Brock has a very short spoiler.
- 35:28>> Speaker E: It's the solstice. What was it?
- 35:31Yeah, spirit day.
- 35:32>> Speaker B: Spirit day.
- 35:33>> Speaker E: we were about to turn them into a spirit.
- 35:35>> Speaker B: It was like friendship day, and we decided
- 35:38to make friends instead of dead people.
- 35:41>> Speaker E: So what is
- 35:44stopping me from just earth bending a wall
- 35:47to block the airstreams? All right, so
- 35:50I will step on a not hot rock and
- 35:52use that to,
- 35:53>> Speaker B: Jaw.
- 35:55>> Speaker E: Jaw, actually, yeah.
- 35:57>> Speaker B: do rely on your skills and training. I just want to see how
- 35:59thick and strong that this wall is to hold up
- 36:02against.
- 36:03>> Speaker F: Focus.
- 36:04>> Speaker B: Focus, I believe.
- 36:05>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 36:05>> Speaker E: And it shouldn't roll with force.
- 36:07>> Speaker B: I wouldn't imagine.
- 36:07>> Speaker D: I feel like this is a dumb idea.
- 36:09>> Speaker E: Well, you're a dumb idea only if.
- 36:11>> Speaker B: You want to roll. Yeah, you can choose to roll with
- 36:13force, but if you do, your balance is going to
- 36:16shift, and it's going to put you a little bit closer
- 36:19towards falling off the edge.
- 36:22>> Speaker D: Well, can I just push him over to
- 36:24prevent him from doing this?
- 36:27>> Speaker E: I rolled a five. I could roll with force and make it a
- 36:30seven. I'll
- 36:33keep it at five.
- 36:33>> Speaker B: Okay, so you stomp the ground. A wall
- 36:36comes up, but the hot air bursts that are
- 36:39coming through, manage to kind of punch through this wall
- 36:42until it just kind of crumbles. It was a very thin wall, so you're
- 36:45kind of left with not much there. It didn't really do too
- 36:48much.
- 36:48>> Speaker D: What else is around us? What does
- 36:51rocks. Lava?
- 36:53>> Speaker B: Yes. Well,
- 36:56the lava is
- 36:59kind of like a crack that lets the lava be seen,
- 37:02and it gives kind of a glow into the room. But you would have to
- 37:04reach into this crack quite a ways in order to actually
- 37:07touch lava. Otherwise, the lava is just heating.
- 37:10>> Speaker D: Well, I can't lava bend anyway.
- 37:12>> Speaker C: How far across is it?
- 37:15>> Speaker D: can guao just, like, m build a bridge?
- 37:18>> Speaker B: You could try.
- 37:20>> Speaker D: By the time the rock heats, maybe we can just
- 37:23keep running.
- 37:24>> Speaker F: Right.
- 37:24>> Speaker B: Well, so the ledge that's safe to walk on is just a little
- 37:27bit above the ground anyways. It's just not immediately touching
- 37:30where the lava is kind of eating. So,
- 37:33yeah, you could definitely either expand this
- 37:35into a little bit of a wider bridge, because it's kind of a bridge in and
- 37:38of itself. it's just a matter of those air
- 37:41puffs that would hit you, and they're hot.
- 37:43>> Speaker D: They go all the way across. Like, you couldn't just go run down the middle
- 37:46and not get it.
- 37:48>> Speaker E: Well, there's hot.
- 37:49>> Speaker D: Could you army crawl underneath the air
- 37:52puffs on the bridge that they're
- 37:55making?
- 37:55>> Speaker B: You could try if you're flat enough.
- 37:58>> Speaker D: I'm very little, if you want to try.
- 38:01Okay.
- 38:02>> Speaker F: All right.
- 38:02>> Speaker D: Somebody build a bridge. or can
- 38:05the bridge, that's existence.
- 38:06>> Speaker B: So the proverbial bridge, there's
- 38:09sort of like a raised ledge and that's right
- 38:12next to the wall that has the air puffs.
- 38:14>> Speaker D: I'll have to hop from one thing to another.
- 38:16>> Speaker B: It's just no straight one, but it's kind of
- 38:19narrow, like one person at a time. And of course, you have
- 38:22the air puffs that are slamming into you from the side, but if you
- 38:24extended it, you might be able to
- 38:27make it across.
- 38:28>> Speaker D: I'm just going to army crawl with.
- 38:30>> Speaker B: Where it's at right now.
- 38:31>> Speaker D: Sure.
- 38:32>> Speaker F: Okay.
- 38:32>> Speaker B: Yeah, go for it. I guess just
- 38:35another rely on your skills and training.
- 38:39Or you could actually. No, push your luck. Push your luck.
- 38:43Either one. I'll let you choose. I
- 38:46don't know how much like,
- 38:47>> Speaker D: I mean, push my luck. I like what it adds
- 38:50to my world better, however.
- 38:53I don't know. I feel like living out in the wilderness. It'd
- 38:56be more apt to.
- 38:58>> Speaker B: If you feel like it's more, relevant to
- 39:01your character, would I.
- 39:02>> Speaker D: Add my plus one of survival? Since
- 39:05I'm farther on the track?
- 39:06>> Speaker B: You can choose to do survival instead. It'll
- 39:09move your balance more towards
- 39:11survival, but you can definitely do that.
- 39:13>> Speaker F: And then.
- 39:14>> Speaker D: Yeah, well, I mean, I am trying to move across the bridge without
- 39:16my friends.
- 39:18>> Speaker B: Normally, it would be rely on your skills and training, but again,
- 39:21if you want to choose to make it survival, you
- 39:24can do so. Okay, well, do that.
- 39:25>> Speaker D: Do survival then, so I don't have to roll?
- 39:27>> Speaker B: You do roll, but, you just add your survival bonus.
- 39:31>> Speaker D: I got a four total.
- 39:34No, on my track, I'm at a plus one.
- 39:37>> Speaker B: Okay, so then you'd have five.
- 39:39>> Speaker D: And do
- 39:42I add anything else to it?
- 39:44>> Speaker B: Okay, so you'll take one fatigue, but, yeah, that's all you
- 39:47add is just.
- 39:48>> Speaker D: The plus one would be a five.
- 39:50>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 39:50>> Speaker D: So, nothing.
- 39:52>> Speaker B: you go to start doing the army crawl, and
- 39:55then you get a puff of air that shoots out
- 39:58right in front of your face, and you realize that there are also
- 40:01some low hanging holes, in this
- 40:04wall that would kind of keep you from being able to
- 40:06army crawl through. And so you kind of turn back
- 40:09lane. Sorry, I don't think you
- 40:12really are, but that's okay.
- 40:14>> Speaker F: I don't know.
- 40:15>> Speaker E: Whoa. You guys got any ideas?
- 40:17>> Speaker G: I'm going to try to extend that bridge.
- 40:20>> Speaker H: Okay.
- 40:20>> Speaker B: Yeah. man, I almost wonder
- 40:23if it'd be push your luck because this is a lot more,
- 40:26bending than I feel like what was usually used
- 40:29to.
- 40:33All right, I got this. He's got
- 40:35this.
- 40:37>> Speaker D: Oh, my gosh.
- 40:38>> Speaker C: He's got it.
- 40:39>> Speaker D: 1313.
- 40:42>> Speaker B: All right, now let's push your luck.
- 40:44>> Speaker D: Some of those good rolls on a ten.
- 40:45>> Speaker B: Plus my boldness pays off.
- 40:48>> Speaker G: Despite the cost, though.
- 40:49>> Speaker H: It says yes.
- 40:51>> Speaker G: That's what I don't get.
- 40:52>> Speaker B: I think that's just saying, like, you took a risk and it paid
- 40:54off, basically. and you get
- 40:57another opportunity that falls in your lap. I would say the opportunity
- 41:00is that you grab onto the edge of this and
- 41:03you basically pull the ground
- 41:05out from its connection to the wall. So
- 41:08you're basically taking the bridge, which is right up against the wall, and you're
- 41:11pulling it away from the wall so that there's no
- 41:14way. The puffs of air don't even reach it.
- 41:17And you extend it ever so slightly to a
- 41:20point where everybody could cross.
- 41:24>> Speaker G: All right, guys, I think I did
- 41:26it.
- 41:27>> Speaker H: Nice.
- 41:28>> Speaker G: Let's cross.
- 41:30>> Speaker H: That simple.
- 41:30>> Speaker B: And as you guys make your way.
- 41:32>> Speaker C: That'S all you had to do last time.
- 41:35>> Speaker B: As you guys make your way across,
- 41:38guru topek just kind of walks along with you.
- 41:41>> Speaker H: He's like, very well done. Go.
- 41:44You know, I was planning and showing.
- 41:47>> Speaker I: Off a bit, letting you all see what it looks
- 41:50like when an airbender walks the
- 41:52path.
- 41:53>> Speaker H: You see, you have to sense the.
- 41:56>> Speaker I: Air puffs you dodge,
- 41:58creating a sort of intricate dance.
- 42:01>> Speaker H: It's quite beautiful.
- 42:03>> Speaker G: Don't you have, like, some meditation technique
- 42:05to walk on the hot rocks without
- 42:08getting burnt?
- 42:09>> Speaker F: Ah.
- 42:09>> Speaker I: you must be thinking of the quick step technique
- 42:13developed by master Bin Chang.
- 42:15>> Speaker F: Yes.
- 42:16>> Speaker I: It is possible for one to meditate and
- 42:18spread the heated sensation across your body
- 42:21rather than having to focus it all on the soles on
- 42:24your feet.
- 42:26>> Speaker H: Unfortunately, I've yet to master
- 42:29this technique.
- 42:30>> Speaker I: Perhaps someday I could pull off such a
- 42:33feat.
- 42:34>> Speaker B: You guys move into the next room. There's sort of just a
- 42:36doorway at the end of this bridge. And so you guys walk
- 42:39through the doorway and you move into the next room. And
- 42:42as you do, the warmth from before,
- 42:45which was a very dry heat, is quickly replaced
- 42:48by a very humid heat. And
- 42:51you guys find yourselves in a sauna like cave, and
- 42:54it's hot with steam in here and
- 42:57features what seems to be a massive
- 43:00fuzzy balloon that's just
- 43:03stuffed in the doorway that would lead into the next
- 43:06room.
- 43:07>> Speaker H: He says a particularly troubling
- 43:10little prankster named Pranzi came up with
- 43:13this idea.
- 43:14>> Speaker I: He made a balloon out of a.
- 43:15>> Speaker H: Mixture of koala sheepskin and then coated
- 43:18the inside with resin before
- 43:21inflating it right here in our doorway. If it
- 43:24weren't for the fact that I can fly through a series of
- 43:27tunnels and such from the outside, I'd
- 43:29never be able to get into the rooms behind the blasted
- 43:32balloon again. So your task is to
- 43:35figure out a way to get to the next room with
- 43:38this inflated sheepskin blocking the doorway.
- 43:41>> Speaker D: Can you just like pop it?
- 43:42>> Speaker E: Yeah, can we pop it then?
- 43:44>> Speaker H: Why don't you give it a shot and see what happens?
- 43:49>> Speaker B: guys think they didn't think of that?
- 43:52>> Speaker D: I don't know. They're usually like all wise
- 43:55and mighty. Sometimes you think too hard and the answer
- 43:58is too obvious.
- 44:01>> Speaker G: Sometimes the answer is not.
- 44:03>> Speaker C: Inner peace.
- 44:04>> Speaker E: I fashioned a javelin out of
- 44:07rock stone and I huck
- 44:10it at, said balloon.
- 44:11>> Speaker B: Okay, so between the
- 44:14density of the air inside the
- 44:17balloon and the rubbery material that the balloon is
- 44:20like made out of, the blade doesn't, it can't
- 44:23puncture through it just kind of bounces off.
- 44:27>> Speaker E: Maybe I didn't throw a big enough javelin.
- 44:30>> Speaker C: You feel real dumb now.
- 44:32>> Speaker E: No, I just haven't tried it.
- 44:34>> Speaker G: Hard cover. I make m a little rock wall.
- 44:36>> Speaker B: I was going to say it bounces off and comes like
- 44:39flying back at you.
- 44:40>> Speaker G: If he's about to do this again.
- 44:42>> Speaker E: No, I fashion a bigger javelin.
- 44:45>> Speaker G: Yeah, I take cover.
- 44:47>> Speaker F: Ah.
- 44:48>> Speaker B: And it sort of hits it and it kind of crumbles
- 44:51as it starts to hit it as the
- 44:54pressure between you hitting the or
- 44:57throwing it at the balloon in the first place and the resistance
- 44:59and durability of this balloon just causes the rock
- 45:02to kind of crumble around, shooting it back in a couple
- 45:05of smaller chunks throughout the room.
- 45:08>> Speaker D: So there's like some kind of an opening that was able to
- 45:11blow up the balloon?
- 45:12>> Speaker B: Yes.
- 45:14>> Speaker D: Can I inspect that?
- 45:16>> Speaker B: Yeah, you don't see it on this side, but you bring it up to
- 45:18guru to peak and he says.
- 45:20>> Speaker H: Ah, great investigative work,
- 45:22Mika. Unfortunately the opening
- 45:25is on the other side of the doorway.
- 45:27>> Speaker B: It was good thinking. It was good.
- 45:29>> Speaker C: Can it move?
- 45:31>> Speaker B: no, you push against it and this thing is just
- 45:34sod because the air has basically expanded on both
- 45:37sides of the doorway.
- 45:38>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 45:38>> Speaker B: So the doorway is like the midpoint and it's got two in the
- 45:41doorway. Exactly.
- 45:42>> Speaker D: And there's no seams on the blue.
- 45:45>> Speaker G: No, like a couch in the
- 45:48apartment staircase.
- 45:50>> Speaker B: That's right.
- 45:50>> Speaker D: Pivot, pivot.
- 45:54>> Speaker G: Just have to turn it.
- 45:55>> Speaker E: Guys, could I just
- 45:58rock elevator down below it
- 46:00and then just tunnel and pop back up like
- 46:03Bugs Bunny?
- 46:04>> Speaker D: Well, you don't even have to, there's enough.
- 46:08Just make the space in between the balloon and the
- 46:10wall.
- 46:13>> Speaker E: Well, I could bugs Bunny around it because that's an established
- 46:16thing I can do. I guess that is, I shall
- 46:19attempt to Bugs Bunny.
- 46:21>> Speaker B: What is just, Yeah, just do rely on your skills
- 46:24and training again. All right.
- 46:25>> Speaker C: I really just ran into it really hard.
- 46:27Brock.
- 46:28>> Speaker H: Yo. That's a better.
- 46:30>> Speaker D: Don't try that.
- 46:31>> Speaker E: Why not?
- 46:32>> Speaker D: Because he's trying to make you hurt yourself.
- 46:36>> Speaker B: I thought Bill was supposed to be
- 46:39his moral.
- 46:40>> Speaker C: Yeah, and he wants to see him.
- 46:42>> Speaker B: Run into this thing. What
- 46:45would happen? Comedy, bit of like,
- 46:48just make that like, please.
- 46:49>> Speaker E: That's what he, if I can't
- 46:52bugs bunny, I'll for sure just run straight at it.
- 46:55>> Speaker G: Wiley coyote.
- 46:56>> Speaker C: Exactly.
- 46:57>> Speaker B: This calls for an acme box.
- 46:59>> Speaker E: Seven.
- 47:01>> Speaker D: you don't get to add anything.
- 47:02>> Speaker B: Perfect.
- 47:03>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 47:04>> Speaker G: Where's the box of, acme dynamite?
- 47:06>> Speaker B: Oh, my God.
- 47:06>> Speaker E: I get the teeny little umbrella.
- 47:09>> Speaker F: Okay.
- 47:09>> Speaker B: So you drop under the
- 47:11ground and quickly
- 47:15slam your hands into the side of this opening
- 47:17that you just made because it drops out at the
- 47:20bottom by itself and it's just lava
- 47:23under. And you realize the
- 47:26reason why this whole room is kind of like
- 47:29a humid, wet sauna is there must be a water
- 47:31flow somewhere here. And then the heat from
- 47:34the water lava is heating
- 47:37that water in the air and just turning it into a
- 47:40mist.
- 47:43You could continue to do your tunneling,
- 47:46but it's going to be such a delicate
- 47:49matter to not create an opening that
- 47:52would just fall into. And not to mention, your friends aren't
- 47:54earthbenders. And so you worry that if they
- 47:57tried to go through this very same tunnel, you might be able to get
- 48:00through. Guel might be able to get through because you guys can
- 48:02grasp onto the walls of the rock, but
- 48:05your other two friends, if they slip,
- 48:08they're going to be in trouble.
- 48:09>> Speaker E: Well, delicate's my middle name.
- 48:11>> Speaker C: Bill's standing at the top of the hole and he's going, Brock,
- 48:14brock, brock, brock. What is the first rule?
- 48:17Never dig straight down.
- 48:21>> Speaker D: I did tell you to go in between the wall and the
- 48:24balloon, but.
- 48:25>> Speaker E: I mean, yeah, go, get back up.
- 48:27>> Speaker C: Here and just go around it. And I lower my bow
- 48:30step so he can grab it.
- 48:32>> Speaker E: Fine. can I just go around it? Like
- 48:35go through the wall?
- 48:36>> Speaker C: Oh, shoot, yeah, the wall is not going
- 48:38anywhere.
- 48:39>> Speaker E: All right, fine. I try.
- 48:40>> Speaker C: And could you just do, like, SpongeBob
- 48:43thing?
- 48:47>> Speaker E: I try to go through the wall
- 48:50around it. 1010.
- 48:53>> Speaker F: Okay. Yes.
- 48:53>> Speaker B: You're able to create an opening and basically
- 48:56create a sort of secondary tunnel
- 48:59that goes around the balloon.
- 49:01>> Speaker E: See, delicacy is my middle name, as you can see.
- 49:04>> Speaker H: Yeah.
- 49:04>> Speaker E: And I definitely think everything through.
- 49:07>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 49:08>> Speaker E: So you can say you're welcome whenever.
- 49:10>> Speaker C: Now you're going to run into the balloon?
- 49:12>> Speaker E: Yes.
- 49:13>> Speaker C: Just for fun.
- 49:14>> Speaker E: I want to see if I would have broken the balloon.
- 49:16>> Speaker D: But we don't need your plan b, because your plan a
- 49:19worked.
- 49:20>> Speaker E: Yeah, but, I mean, Bill's making a really
- 49:22good.
- 49:23>> Speaker B: What if I could have just ran straight?
- 49:26>> Speaker D: Javelin. Couldn't do it. You can't do it.
- 49:29>> Speaker B: No, he's not trying to, Poppy.
- 49:30>> Speaker D: Trying to hurt your only friend.
- 49:33>> Speaker C: Only.
- 49:34>> Speaker F: Whoa.
- 49:35>> Speaker E: I mean, like, well, you just got.
- 49:36>> Speaker B: Threw under the bus.
- 49:37>> Speaker E: I'm not going to lie. Kind of boring.
- 49:41>> Speaker B: Man, earthbenders really, take away from
- 49:44my ability to make interesting puzzles for
- 49:47you guys to solve.
- 49:49>> Speaker D: Was this one supposed to be my puzzle to solve?
- 49:51>> Speaker B: Actually, yeah, it was. Well, there
- 49:54it is.
- 49:54>> Speaker E: Stick bender puzzle. You quit making us go
- 49:57into stone room.
- 49:58>> Speaker B: Maybe.
- 49:59>> Speaker E: I mean, like, the jail was.
- 50:01>> Speaker D: Why do you puzzle?
- 50:02>> Speaker F: Because.
- 50:03>> Speaker D: Why plan something?
- 50:04>> Speaker E: Why not make it a metal room or a wooden room? Because
- 50:07we're in stone walls.
- 50:10>> Speaker D: Anyway, we're going through this tunnel.
- 50:12>> Speaker B: Okay, the third one. All right, so you guys go around the balloon
- 50:14and. Guru tape actually, kind of looks a little bit bummed.
- 50:17>> Speaker H: Well, yeah, I
- 50:20suppose that works. Honestly,
- 50:23I was kind of hoping you would have been able to
- 50:26figure out a way to deflate it.
- 50:28>> Speaker C: Well, we made you a new tunnel. Now you can just go around it.
- 50:30>> Speaker B: Now you can go around.
- 50:31>> Speaker D: You can keep that a secret.
- 50:34Tunnel?
- 50:35>> Speaker H: Well, maybe I had plans to inflate it somewhere
- 50:37else, set it up outside, jump
- 50:40on it all day long to give myself a fun activity.
- 50:43To.
- 50:45>> Speaker D: Jump, maybe. Yeah, like Brock said, we'll help you.
- 50:48>> Speaker E: Later if we got time.
- 50:50>> Speaker D: Puzle number three.
- 50:51>> Speaker B: You guys are really emphasizing the fact that you didn't have time.
- 50:54>> Speaker E: But that's just if we got.
- 50:56>> Speaker B: Guys, describe it. So you guys step out of.
- 50:59Tell me your biggest fear
- 51:02pulls up. I was going to say.
- 51:07>> Speaker F: Do you.
- 51:08>> Speaker B: Guys go around with your fancy new little
- 51:10secondary tunnel that you've just created, and
- 51:13you follow, like, a short tunnel. And step out
- 51:16of the doorway into a massive cavern with a
- 51:19humongous drop off of a
- 51:22divide that spans hundreds of feet
- 51:25in every direction, at least left, right
- 51:28and forward. Anyways. as if someone took a massive
- 51:31sword and just slipes deep into the center of the
- 51:33mountain. There's an old wooden bridge that seems to have
- 51:36been split in half and now hangs limp and
- 51:39useless on either side of the great
- 51:42divide.
- 51:43>> Speaker H: It's a rope bridge.
- 51:45>> Speaker D: Couldn't you just push us with your air bending all the way
- 51:48across, just like,
- 51:49>> Speaker E: I guess that's not the point of the puzzle.
- 51:50>> Speaker D: But we're still, like, solving.
- 51:53>> Speaker H: There are actually some air gliders,
- 51:56but they're in the final room, so
- 51:58unfortunately not much help right
- 52:01now.
- 52:01>> Speaker D: So it's just darkness.
- 52:04Giant.
- 52:05>> Speaker B: I would guess that there's probably like a river of lava at the bottom.
- 52:07That kind of. What if we stop looking me?
- 52:10>> Speaker D: Sorry.
- 52:12>> Speaker F: It's not me.
- 52:13>> Speaker B: Everybody.
- 52:15>> Speaker C: What if we push the balloon back in here and then
- 52:18we jumped across?
- 52:20>> Speaker D: Perfect.
- 52:21>> Speaker E: I mean, like, what?
- 52:22>> Speaker D: I'll go back.
- 52:22>> Speaker H: Oh, yes. I think that's a great idea.
- 52:25Let's bring that balloon out here.
- 52:28>> Speaker E: Just bend the bridge.
- 52:30>> Speaker H: Okay.
- 52:31>> Speaker D: I'm going to run back in the other room.
- 52:32>> Speaker B: Okay.
- 52:33>> Speaker G: That's pretty far.
- 52:37>> Speaker D: You said misty stuff in there.
- 52:39>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 52:39>> Speaker D: Can I get the water particles and just push the
- 52:42balloon like make a
- 52:45cocoon and just push it. Hot dog it.
- 52:49>> Speaker B: Hot dogging it.
- 52:50>> Speaker D: use the water as like, the bun
- 52:53and just create.
- 52:55>> Speaker C: What do you do?
- 52:55>> Speaker D: Are you talking like press the balloon?
- 52:57>> Speaker B: Are you talking like rest your hot dogs? Are you talking like.
- 53:00The first rule of eating hot
- 53:03dog is you have to have a tight grip
- 53:06round circle.
- 53:07>> Speaker F: Okay.
- 53:07>> Speaker B: You're going to use that water to sort of pressure
- 53:10it.
- 53:12>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 53:12>> Speaker D: So it gets thinner and I can.
- 53:14>> Speaker G: Just push firmly grasp the hot dog.
- 53:17>> Speaker B: Okay.
- 53:18>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 53:18>> Speaker D: Get what I'm trying to say?
- 53:19>> Speaker B: I think it's too hard.
- 53:22Yeah, do push your luck. I think this is more of
- 53:25a push your luck. I don't think you usually hot dog
- 53:28thing.
- 53:32You didn't get to that point when you were at the prison
- 53:35hot dog training. I was trying to figure out if you're talking like
- 53:38you're going to do the classic help, I'm stuck. Get the
- 53:41butter. Use the water to just
- 53:44kind of lube up the balloon.
- 53:49>> Speaker D: The balloons in the hole like this.
- 53:53>> Speaker F: Huh?
- 53:53>> Speaker D: Pinch it either side of it.
- 53:55>> Speaker F: Okay.
- 53:56>> Speaker D: And so it's creating space
- 53:58around visually.
- 53:59>> Speaker B: Yeah, I see what you're saying.
- 54:01>> Speaker D: Because he's not understanding.
- 54:02>> Speaker B: I am understanding. I am understanding.
- 54:04>> Speaker C: I get it now. The hot dog made perfect.
- 54:07>> Speaker E: You didn't really need to go further, stupid.
- 54:11>> Speaker C: You don't need the balloon.
- 54:13>> Speaker F: Okay.
- 54:14>> Speaker D: But how are we else we're going to get across?
- 54:16>> Speaker C: That was a joke idea.
- 54:18>> Speaker D: You guys figure it out. I'm figuring out a different way.
- 54:20>> Speaker G: You really fat dogs that roll
- 54:23the.
- 54:24>> Speaker D: Water just comes back and drenches me.
- 54:27>> Speaker C: How far of a jump is this?
- 54:29>> Speaker B: waterboarded, I think I said
- 54:31hundreds of feet. Sorry.
- 54:34It's a divide. So it's hundreds of feet to the right or left, but
- 54:37directly forward, let's say
- 54:3950.
- 54:40>> Speaker E: We could bend a bridge. Let's
- 54:43just keep frustrating this old.
- 54:45>> Speaker B: Do you come back?
- 54:47>> Speaker D: No, I'm going to keep trying.
- 54:48>> Speaker B: Okay.
- 54:49>> Speaker C: Could you fly me across?
- 54:51I don't have powers.
- 54:53>> Speaker E: I'm bending a bridge.
- 54:55>> Speaker C: I just have this. He holds up his post.
- 54:57>> Speaker E: I rolled a nine.
- 54:58>> Speaker B: A nine.
- 54:59>> Speaker E: To bend a bridge.
- 55:00>> Speaker B: To bend a bridge. Okay, so, you
- 55:03start bending a bridge, but your,
- 55:06availability, like, once, the further you get, the
- 55:09thinner the bridge becomes.
- 55:11>> Speaker E: Could I just kind of shimmy my way
- 55:14across? About how far do I make you get?
- 55:16>> Speaker B: About halfway.
- 55:19It's a thin, like, less than an inch
- 55:22thick bridge at that point. That is rather, your
- 55:25bending capabilities to sort of mold earth
- 55:28across the way kind of starts to dissipate
- 55:30as you get further in.
- 55:33>> Speaker E: I feel like this guru really wants.
- 55:34>> Speaker D: Us to solve, does this balloon, does the
- 55:37water have back to the balloon any effect
- 55:41to it when I blasted the water at it or
- 55:44maneuvered the water around it?
- 55:47>> Speaker B: what's that?
- 55:48>> Speaker D: Assess?
- 55:48>> Speaker B: Yes, do assess a situation. See if you
- 55:51notice anything.
- 55:54>> Speaker D: Oh, my God.
- 55:59Five.
- 56:01>> Speaker B: Not quite.
- 56:02>> Speaker D: Can I fatigue that still.
- 56:03>> Speaker B: Yeah, you can fatigue to take a success. I forgot about
- 56:06that. So you can
- 56:09fatigue to, turn it into a
- 56:12success. You can ask one of the questions available.
- 56:15>> Speaker D: What about, what's my best way out in through.
- 56:17>> Speaker F: Okay.
- 56:18>> Speaker B: so when you tried to use
- 56:21the air, something
- 56:24that you noticed, and it was ever so subtle is when you started to
- 56:27control the air in the room, the water or.
- 56:30Sorry, the water in the room, which was in the air. when you
- 56:32started to control the water that was in the air,
- 56:35you sort of tensed it up and
- 56:38froze some of it when you were trying to push it into a
- 56:41shape. And you noticed that when you put the
- 56:44cold air up to it, you notice just the
- 56:47very slightest deflation, like helium.
- 56:49>> Speaker D: Yeah, bro. Yeah.
- 56:52Because my sister got a balloon and she got it in the car,
- 56:55and it was so deflated, and she's like, why was it like this
- 56:58in the store? And we almost went back in, and then we waited
- 57:01like, ten more seconds and it went.
- 57:03>> Speaker C: Yes.
- 57:05>> Speaker B: Science. Science. You
- 57:07solved my balloon puzzles.
- 57:10>> Speaker D: Okay, so I'm just going to make it all
- 57:13frozen, all the water frozen around the balloon.
- 57:15>> Speaker B: Well, as.
- 57:16>> Speaker D: Okay, so we're just gonna make it cold. As cold as I can make the
- 57:19room.
- 57:19>> Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely. As I'm not gonna make you roll. Because
- 57:22as somebody that grew up in the southern water tribe, I
- 57:25mean, freezing water was a pretty basic,
- 57:27all things considered. So you start to cool the room down,
- 57:30and you do have to fight against it a little bit. but eventually
- 57:33you're able to cool the water in the air to a
- 57:36point where you notice a slight deflation in the
- 57:39balloon. You start to press against it, and sure enough,
- 57:42you're able to press it through this doorway,
- 57:45through the next doorway.
- 57:46>> Speaker D: And I knock over Brock into
- 57:49the expanse. He didn't have to run into the balloon.
- 57:52The balloon ran into.
- 57:54>> Speaker B: And guru tapi is like, oh, you did
- 57:57it.
- 57:58>> Speaker H: You got the balloon out.
- 58:00>> Speaker B: And he goes running into the tunnel. And he's like, you
- 58:03hear him from inside the tunnel and he's like, I haven't seen this
- 58:05doorway in centuries.
- 58:08>> Speaker E: So now I can run into the balloon.
- 58:11>> Speaker C: Yeah, go knock your.
- 58:13>> Speaker D: Sure.
- 58:14>> Speaker H: I think this is a fantastically clever
- 58:16idea. I am ecstatic that the balloon
- 58:19is out of the doorway. So I am all for this plan.
- 58:22Could I die?
- 58:24>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 58:24>> Speaker B: But it depends which way you run into the balloon if you
- 58:27wanted to bounce you back into.
- 58:30>> Speaker E: I don't know how bouncy is
- 58:32this bad boy.
- 58:33>> Speaker B: Oh, yeah. You hop, you touch it. It's pretty bouncy. It's
- 58:36spring. Could I. Oh,
- 58:39this is such a bad.
- 58:40>> Speaker E: Sink it a little bit into the ground so it's got a little
- 58:43stability.
- 58:43>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 58:43>> Speaker B: Ah, it stays in place.
- 58:45>> Speaker F: Okay.
- 58:45>> Speaker E: And just as a test, let me huck a rock at it
- 58:48to see if it can make it across. So I want
- 58:51to huck like a.
- 58:52>> Speaker B: And you're going to use some bending behind that.
- 58:54>> Speaker E: Yeah, some bending behind, like a hundred pound rock.
- 58:56>> Speaker B: Okay.
- 58:57>> Speaker E: Say, okay, you know what? Brock's
- 59:00got a brilliant idea. Brock's gonna
- 59:03elevate her himself. He's gonna elevate her up.
- 59:06It's gonna be like the blob at summer camp.
- 59:09>> Speaker C: Yep.
- 59:09>> Speaker E: So I love, so m
- 59:12put, I'm.
- 59:14>> Speaker B: Gonna put a rock on one end.
- 59:16>> Speaker E: On one end, and then I'm going to jump
- 59:19onto the other end, see if I can't
- 59:22launch this bad boy all the way across the other
- 59:25side.
- 59:25>> Speaker B: Okay. I'm not going to make you roll. You're literally just jumping
- 59:28off of something. So you jump off, you hit the other side of the
- 59:31balloon, boom, the stone
- 59:34goes flying. It doesn't make it all the
- 59:37way across, but it makes it pretty
- 59:40dang close.
- 59:42>> Speaker E: I feel like that just shows we got to do
- 59:45that.
- 59:46>> Speaker B: one key thing that you notice is it's very possible that
- 59:49just getting the angle right is really the main thing because there was a
- 59:52little bit more vertical lift than you needed and that
- 59:55kind of hindered the horizontal,
- 59:58whatever. trajectory. Trajectory, yes.
- 1:00:03>> Speaker C: What happened if we stepped into the hole?
- 1:00:07>> Speaker B: So we fell into the hole.
- 1:00:09>> Speaker C: Would you catch us?
- 1:00:11>> Speaker I: Well, I tell you what.
- 1:00:14The key element in Okoran's letter
- 1:00:17was that the four of you work together,
- 1:00:20come up with creative solutions to help you through
- 1:00:23the trials at hand. You are free to do whatever
- 1:00:26you think is best to accomplish the trials.
- 1:00:29And I will be here to guide you, keep you
- 1:00:31safe. An idea that doesn't work out
- 1:00:34is a learning experience. So, with all that
- 1:00:37being said, I'm not going to let you
- 1:00:40die. To the best of my ability,
- 1:00:43at least. I think this is a
- 1:00:45fantastically clever idea. I am
- 1:00:48ecstatic that the balloon is.
- 1:00:50>> Speaker H: Out of the doorway.
- 1:00:51>> Speaker I: So I am all for this plan. In fact,
- 1:00:54given the plan you've proposed, I will go
- 1:00:57across the chasm.
- 1:00:58>> Speaker H: Now, if your jump is a little.
- 1:01:01>> Speaker I: Short, I should be able to,
- 1:01:03>> Speaker C: When he said yes, Bill already started.
- 1:01:05>> Speaker E: Walking off the edge.
- 1:01:07>> Speaker B: Stop. He's going to pick up, like, just keeping
- 1:01:10Mario Kart sticks up his foot over the edge, and he
- 1:01:13just kind of lets his guru tap. He just does, like, a wind
- 1:01:16pull where he just pulls the air.
- 1:01:18>> Speaker C: That's no fair. You're cheating.
- 1:01:20>> Speaker H: Why would you. Well,
- 1:01:23now your concerns can be stifled.
- 1:01:26I caught you, just as I said I would.
- 1:01:30Please do not do that again.
- 1:01:33Well, thank you.
- 1:01:34>> Speaker C: I trusted you, guru.
- 1:01:35>> Speaker B: I've got an idea.
- 1:01:36>> Speaker F: Bill.
- 1:01:37>> Speaker C: Stick.
- 1:01:38>> Speaker F: Bill.
- 1:01:38>> Speaker E: I got an idea.
- 1:01:39>> Speaker D: You have a brain. Use it.
- 1:01:42>> Speaker E: We jump together.
- 1:01:44>> Speaker B: No.
- 1:01:44>> Speaker E: And we, over the other.
- 1:01:47>> Speaker D: You are not throwing me first.
- 1:01:49>> Speaker E: Okay, fine.
- 1:01:50>> Speaker D: Wow. Is the smallest.
- 1:01:54>> Speaker E: Do you trust us?
- 1:01:56>> Speaker B: I already passed the trust. Can you.
- 1:02:00>> Speaker G: How about this? I weigh 140
- 1:02:03pounds.
- 1:02:04>> Speaker E: Yeah, we know ages.
- 1:02:07>> Speaker G: I've seen you work out, bro.
- 1:02:08>> Speaker D: I weigh less than you.
- 1:02:11>> Speaker G: Can you, make a rock
- 1:02:14body double that weighs exactly the same as
- 1:02:17me?
- 1:02:17>> Speaker E: I suppose we could do that.
- 1:02:19>> Speaker B: But here's another. That is one of Brock's skills.
- 1:02:22>> Speaker G: Exactly.
- 1:02:25>> Speaker B: Interesting facts.
- 1:02:27>> Speaker E: I could, in fact, make your very
- 1:02:30doppelganger out of stone. My thought here
- 1:02:32is, if you come up a little
- 1:02:34short, you can always just
- 1:02:37bend out a little platform. So now
- 1:02:40that Bill can't defend himself
- 1:02:43or say no because he's in the bathroom, Bill
- 1:02:46and I are going to elevate her up
- 1:02:49and put the 140 guo
- 1:02:52sized rock. And Bill and I jump off
- 1:02:55together in tandem as
- 1:02:57bros to launch this rock.
- 1:03:00>> Speaker B: All right, so you set all this up?
- 1:03:03>> Speaker F: Yes.
- 1:03:03>> Speaker B: You get to the top of this rock.
- 1:03:05>> Speaker E: Yes.
- 1:03:07>> Speaker B: You're launching a rock currently.
- 1:03:09>> Speaker E: Correct.
- 1:03:09>> Speaker B: Okay, just a test.
- 1:03:11>> Speaker F: Go.
- 1:03:11>> Speaker B: All right. You're about to jump off to
- 1:03:14test to see if this rock can make it across and
- 1:03:16therefore shape your ability
- 1:03:19to use this method to get you all across
- 1:03:22this cavern feel like you're.
- 1:03:24>> Speaker E: Setting us up for something.
- 1:03:25>> Speaker B: And with that, we're going to end episode
- 1:03:28three. We'll see you guys next time in episode
- 1:03:31four to find out if it works and if they're able to do
- 1:03:34it and then what the final two trials are. See you guys
- 1:03:37next time.
- 1:03:39>> Speaker A: Hey everyone. Skyler, the game master for benders and
- 1:03:42brews and the creative director over at Session Zero Heroes
- 1:03:45here.
- 1:03:45>> Speaker B: I just wanted to give you a.
