- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here, and on this very special episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, I'm going to be joined by a guest hypnotist.
- 0:47Welcome to the show, Astrid Harms.
- 0:49Hi, thanks for having me. Great to have you here now.
- 0:52I think we met at the Irish Hypnotherapy Convention last
- 0:57April. We're both going to be talking
- 0:59there next April. Tell us a little bit about what
- 1:02you're going to be talking about at that convention.
- 1:05Well, the title of my presentation is going to be
- 1:07Reframing Tinnitus for better Client Outcomes.
- 1:11Basically, how we can improve, well, a hypnotherapy practice
- 1:17by, well, by knowing a little bit more about the background of
- 1:21tinnitus, what it actually is. Because I've found that many
- 1:24hypnotherapists and also patients or clients with
- 1:28tinnitus don't even know what it precisely is.
- 1:31And there's a lot of misunderstandings out there and
- 1:35misconceptions from that stem from the past when nobody knew
- 1:39anything about how tinnitus comes.
- 1:40About. Fascinating stuff, but before we
- 1:43go into tinnitus, you know, area of specialization, most people
- 1:48that become hypnotherapists have some kind of light bulb moment
- 1:52that kind of lures them in or, or or kind of they discover
- 1:56something. Sometimes it's a book or a stage
- 1:58hypnosis show or something else. What was it for you that was the
- 2:02catalyst for you to explore hypnotherapy?
- 2:06Well, first of all, I had a period of high stress years ago
- 2:11and I as so many people, I got into cognitive behavioural
- 2:16therapy. I was sent to a therapist and
- 2:18that didn't do anything for me. It was like, you know, the
- 2:21serenity prayer, the serenity prayer meaning that can you
- 2:26change anything about this? No.
- 2:28Well then, you know, just accept it.
- 2:30Can you change something then do it.
- 2:32That that's basically the outcome of 12 sessions.
- 2:34I'm like, Nah and I was really sick as well.
- 2:38And that was from incredible amounts of stress that I went
- 2:43through. So I was losing my hair, I was
- 2:46really, really fat and all kinds of other health issues that I
- 2:50had. And so with what I discovered
- 2:55hypnosis really by accident, then went on a taster course of
- 3:00master class. And then it's like, Oh my God,
- 3:02this is, this is actually working.
- 3:03This is great. And so I just went on and went
- 3:05on. And since then I haven't stopped
- 3:07learning and getting more and more into hypnosis and partially
- 3:12into NLP as well. And I think that's the key thing
- 3:16that makes hypnotherapy different on the, the, the kind
- 3:20of modality or therapeutic spectrum.
- 3:23Because there are lots of, let's say, if we look at a, a long
- 3:26spectrum, on one side you've got things like counselling and kind
- 3:29of psychoanalysis where the whole premise is we're just
- 3:33going to talk about your problem and then hopefully something
- 3:36changes. And then at the very other end
- 3:38of that therapeutic spectrum, you've got the change modalities
- 3:41where the whole point is change. And I think a lot of people
- 3:44gravitate towards hypnotherapy and certain elements of the 3rd
- 3:49wave CBT approaches because they work and they can notice a
- 3:52difference in their life. Obviously you had health issues,
- 3:57you had a lot of stress. What?
- 3:58What was the evidence that things were working for you when
- 4:01you started using hypnotherapy? Well, the evidence was my hair
- 4:05grew back, I lost weight and I became a lot happier and just I
- 4:11just got a whole different outlook on life.
- 4:12I guess. I was a bit depressed as well.
- 4:15It was a horrible time. But well, I had tinnitus as
- 4:19well. So that's the connection there.
- 4:21And luckily that went away as well.
- 4:24And that was with the help of hypnotherapy.
- 4:26I also got a bit into spirituality and and meditation,
- 4:29all of those things. But yeah, it's hypnosis is
- 4:34really a way of not just talking about your past and your past
- 4:37problems. But that's what CBT does, you
- 4:39know, tell me about your problem and deepen the the memory and,
- 4:43you know, get it out and put it back again and until next week.
- 4:47But with hypnosis, you really do disconnect the emotion from the
- 4:52memory. So I can think about what
- 4:55happened back then and just think, yeah, it happened.
- 4:58It's made me into the person I am today, but it doesn't define
- 5:03really well 100% how I feel at the moment.
- 5:08So. It just, it gave me a lot of joy
- 5:12back in my life because I at the time I couldn't see much of A
- 5:16future and even had suicidal ideation, all that stuff.
- 5:19So, but now it's well, you know, that there's a lot more to
- 5:24discover, a lot of stuff to learn.
- 5:27And that's really what hypnosis has done for me.
- 5:30And, and also getting into the, the well, the, the company of
- 5:36fellow therapists and, and this, yeah, it's kind of connection
- 5:43that you build with other people who want to help people
- 5:45basically. Yeah, and it and it is, you
- 5:48know, we, we were at the UK hypnosis convention a few days
- 5:51ago and there is this unique collection of of people that
- 5:56have this kind of shared interest where it is their
- 6:00profession, it is their industry.
- 6:02But at the same time, it is an industry where you're having
- 6:05that kind of real impact on people's lives.
- 6:08It's quite a fulfilling element. And I think, you know, it's one
- 6:11of the nicest bunch of people I ever see is when you hang out
- 6:13with other hypnotherapists. And, and there are other
- 6:17industries where a convention like that has the very opposite
- 6:20energy, where it tends to be quite territorial.
- 6:23And it's a lot of posturing and kind of backbiting and, and
- 6:27those kind of things. So yeah, it's it's it's lovely
- 6:30to kind of see that that energy you talked about evidence of
- 6:34change within you was some of that kind of mind body, you
- 6:40know, kind of things that that kind of change.
- 6:43So your hair grew back, you lost weight, other things.
- 6:46Obviously tinnitus is that kind of mind body connection to a lot
- 6:51of people would kind of condense tinnitus down to this kind of
- 6:55ongoing ringing in the ears. So tell us a bit about, for
- 7:00people that aren't familiar with this phrase, tinnitus, what it
- 7:02actually is and what tends to cause him.
- 7:05Right. So tinnitus is a noise that's
- 7:08usually only audible in your, in your head to people that nobody
- 7:11else can hear it but you. There's no external sound that
- 7:14would cause it. There's, well, there's one sort
- 7:17of tinnitus, objective tinnitus that an ENT would be able to
- 7:20hear a doctor if they listen to you, to your ear, which is
- 7:23caused by blood flow or something similar.
- 7:27And tinnitus is really the sound.
- 7:30Some people think it's in the ear, what's caused by the ear.
- 7:34That's not true. It is made-up by the brain.
- 7:38And there are very many different ways of why it's
- 7:41made-up in the brain and how it's made-up in the brain.
- 7:44And even scientists don't know entirely what tinnitus actually
- 7:49is. So there are also 200 causes and
- 7:54comorbidities of tinnitus. So really what it is it has,
- 8:00it's a heterogeneous collection of, of causes or of, of well
- 8:08expressions really. So you can have it from hearing
- 8:12loss, which is very, very often the case.
- 8:14You can have it from physical blockages.
- 8:18So it might just be ear wax or eardrum being pierced, anything
- 8:22of that. And there's four main groups
- 8:25that you could put it into. That's auditory alterations
- 8:28inside the ear, then hearing loss inside the ear due to that,
- 8:33or sensory neural hearing loss, which means that you have the
- 8:37auditory nerves destroyed from something like auditory trauma,
- 8:42like loud noises, for example. Lots of veterans, war veterans,
- 8:46have tinnitus and have hearing loss at the same time.
- 8:50It can also happen through autotoxic drugs.
- 8:52That means there are many, many different medications that will
- 8:57cause tinnitus or can cause tinnitus, metabolic disorders,
- 9:02autoimmune diseases. This.
- 9:04And in that case, tinnitus is very often a symptom or occurs
- 9:08as a symptom. You've also got TMJ,
- 9:13temperament, mandibular joint disorder, that means problems
- 9:18with your jaw. You can get it from dental work,
- 9:20from root canals, all kinds of things that you know happen
- 9:24around the ears or also from blood related issues and of
- 9:29course, lots of psychological issues.
- 9:33So these these 4 components would be those auditory
- 9:39alterations then somatosensory around and inflammation is a big
- 9:45one at the moment. So these inflammatory disease,
- 9:49autoimmune diseases that can cause neuro inflammation as
- 9:53well. And that means the auditory
- 9:55pathway, the nerves in the brain, you know that the signal
- 9:59signals in the brain aren't transferred the way they should
- 10:02be, but they're changed. And the theories are that either
- 10:05your brain makes up for the frequency that are lost
- 10:08somewhere in this pathway or that there is some sort of, it
- 10:14works as a sort of alarm, fire alarm.
- 10:17So, and it might be, I mean, what I believe is that it might
- 10:20be either of those. So people with PTSD have a high
- 10:26prevalence of, of having tinnitus as well.
- 10:28Tinnitus also very much related to migraines and to hyperacusis,
- 10:34misophonia. That's all the the things, the
- 10:37auditory things that are connected to the nervous system
- 10:39and the auditory system is highly connected, or the limbic
- 10:43system has direct connection to the auditory system.
- 10:47So that means if you hear the tiger growling, you run off
- 10:51before you even notice that there is a tiger.
- 10:54Yeah, and it's one of the first. One of the few fears that people
- 10:57are actually born with is the fear of lab noises and the fear
- 10:59of fear of falling. Do you get, because in a lot of,
- 11:04let's say psychological issues get this weird paradox where the
- 11:07coping strategy actually amplifies the issue.
- 11:10And it gets worse. And, and sometimes if I've got
- 11:13like a little chip in my tooth, you know, I'm checking, it's
- 11:17still there. I keep checking with my tongue.
- 11:19And that makes me more aware of something.
- 11:21I would imagine with a lot of people with tinnitus, because
- 11:24they've identified that something isn't right, something
- 11:26isn't as it was, they end up focused more of their attention
- 11:30on the very thing which encourages them to hear it more.
- 11:33Do you get these kind of weird paradoxical loops with tinnitus?
- 11:36Yes, Oh yes, there is first of all the, the tinnitus itself and
- 11:42then the distress that the the noise causes because you can't
- 11:46escape it. It's, it's a very traumatic
- 11:48situation for many. And it becomes a feedback loop
- 11:52where the noise becomes louder because stress, of course,
- 11:55increases tinnitus and you're distressed, then you hear it
- 11:59louder then you know, and it goes up.
- 12:01And some people will avoid any kind of stress, any kind of
- 12:07social interaction because first of all, they can't hear people
- 12:10talking. That's going to increase their
- 12:12stress because they're like, you're talking to me, but I
- 12:15can't really hear you and I don't know what to say.
- 12:17So that increases the stress and they become, well, recluse
- 12:22recluses, you know, a bit like hermits.
- 12:24They don't go out anymore. And this is actually what
- 12:27happened to my, to my mom. She had a sudden hearing loss
- 12:31and then tinnitus and it must have been incredibly bad because
- 12:34she wasn't able to cope with any stress whatsoever.
- 12:37So really me and my, my sisters and brother, we were just kind
- 12:42of left alone. And you know, we couldn't,
- 12:44couldn't put any stress on her because she would either explode
- 12:47or, or just kind of halfway breakdown.
- 12:51I guess I, I was just too small as a kid back then to really
- 12:55grasp the whole situation. So I just realized that when I
- 12:57started getting into tinnitus that this, that her, well,
- 13:04tinnitus really has had a great impact on me.
- 13:08And she refuses to this day to, to get any help because she's
- 13:13tried everything. And that's very common with many
- 13:15people. I have tried everything already
- 13:17and I just just leave it be of, you know, I'm kind of used to
- 13:21it. So just just leave it.
- 13:24And that's a lot of people will say the same thing.
- 13:28You also have people who are habituated to it and they say,
- 13:32yeah, well, sometimes it bothers me, but there's nothing I can
- 13:35do, is there? Which nicely brings me to the
- 13:39negative suggestions of doctors that we very often have, which
- 13:44is you go to the doctor. Well, I have this noise in my
- 13:47ears. And then the doctor will say,
- 13:50yeah, well, you know, there's no cure.
- 13:52There's nothing we can do. You will have to live with it
- 13:54until the end of your life. And that being a doctor, that is
- 13:58a very strong suggestion. And this is usually the very
- 14:01first step that you have to deal with as a hypnotherapist or as
- 14:04any kind of therapist, telling people that there is no proof
- 14:08that you cannot get rid of it. I got rid of it.
- 14:10And about 20 to 30% of people do get rid of it as well, just just
- 14:17on its own. So there is no proof that it
- 14:20will stay, but many people take it on subconsciously as a
- 14:23suggestion, which is again why hypnotherapy is such a good way
- 14:26to to deal with it. You get that, that learned
- 14:30helplessness that can come when people have tried things, not
- 14:33got the results. Then the belief that anything's
- 14:36going to work decreases. Now imagine particularly with
- 14:39your mother there. She doesn't want to have this
- 14:41idea of false hope because just hoping could lead to
- 14:44disappointment or devastation. So better the devil you know
- 14:48than the devil you don't. And a lot of people get trapped
- 14:51in those kind of cycles. I've not worked with a lot of
- 14:54people with tinnitus, but I have worked with quite a few with
- 14:58burning mouth syndrome. And where I see the parallels
- 15:01with that is that you've got something which is not provable
- 15:07from a neurological perspective in the sense that neurologists,
- 15:10they can't figure out why it's happening, but they've got
- 15:13someone in front of them absolutely describing the
- 15:16symptoms exactly as they are. And again, you know, lots of the
- 15:20coping strategies try and deal with that, but you've got things
- 15:23like stress that can kind of amplify it and those kind of
- 15:26things. And what I found is, is a level
- 15:29of desperation almost. And it's kind of like just
- 15:33talking about, well, there might be a solution actually creates a
- 15:36great deal of hope. And even that hope can actually
- 15:40reduce symptoms in the short term before you find a long term
- 15:42solution. What do you find when you're
- 15:46working with people with tinnitus is, is that kind of
- 15:49early stage? Like clearly it's it's kind of
- 15:52eroding the belief that change isn't possible.
- 15:55But what else is is an important part of that journey?
- 15:59So when tinnitus starts, people are very often get anxious and
- 16:04it can lead to depression as well.
- 16:05Because I'm not getting out of this, as we said, the the
- 16:08traumatic part of it, but most people habituate to it after a
- 16:12while. And still people do notice it
- 16:17and do want to get rid of it. They will either with or without
- 16:20desperation, try any new thing that comes out, any pill which
- 16:24is, or ear drops. I mean, I've just explained to
- 16:27you how how tinnitus can come about.
- 16:29South ear drops, What are they going to do?
- 16:31But they might have a certain placebo effect or red light
- 16:35therapy or grounding. I mean, grounding might actually
- 16:38work when you do have inflammation.
- 16:40If you do have inflammation, that might actually work, same
- 16:42as red light therapy. So each of those things may work
- 16:47on a certain part, but the main part I think is stress and the
- 16:51emotional background that we have potentially.
- 16:56So the very first thing I usually do is reduce anxiety and
- 17:00stress and instill belief in people that it actually can
- 17:04change to what Also make use of the placebo effect because the
- 17:09perception of tinnitus and the OR the distress and the severity
- 17:13of tinnitus are not necessarily related.
- 17:16There are people with tinnitus at 10 who aren't bothered by it
- 17:20and others who have it at 2:00 and they are really bothered.
- 17:22So just changing that can increase quality of life by a
- 17:27lot. And studies on on hypnotherapy
- 17:31or hypnosis for tinnitus have always given a reduction in, in
- 17:36improvement, reduction in symptoms and improvement in
- 17:39quality of life for about 70% of participants.
- 17:43And I've had that in Group sessions that I've had.
- 17:45I've had about 70 to 80% of people who had a reduction of
- 17:48symptoms. And the next part that I usually
- 17:52do is give people a sense of control that they can control
- 17:56tinnitus. As soon as you have a session
- 17:59where something changes, even if it's during the session, which
- 18:02is quite common actually, you need to let them believe that
- 18:06there is a possible change that can be down regulated and that
- 18:10you can down regulate it. And another one is self hypnosis
- 18:15techniques because just having session after session is going
- 18:18to be way too expensive for most people.
- 18:20So, and there's talking about expensive, there's lots of
- 18:26experts out there who charge a fortune for tinnitus relief.
- 18:31And it might be, might be good, but you do have to believe in
- 18:35that this person can help you. And that might just be that the
- 18:38the thing that tips you over the edge in a positive way so that
- 18:43you'd actually do reduce it. But I also imagine, like when
- 18:47you've got very desperate people, there is going to be
- 18:50some charlatans out there that just want to exploit that
- 18:52desperation. How could someone listening
- 18:55discern between someone that actually is credible, knows
- 18:58their staff could help, and those people that are just being
- 19:01a bit more exploitative? Well, I would say those, those
- 19:05four big categories of issues that that or the auditory
- 19:13inflammatory somatosensory and the psychological stress.
- 19:17If you have any four of those, any, any issues in that sort of
- 19:20way, and it's usually more than one, it's usually two or more
- 19:23factors that come together. If that solution either covers
- 19:29all of those or you know, exactly, yes, it's because of my
- 19:32jaw, it's because of my dental work, or it's because I had
- 19:35trauma, then that solution can work.
- 19:38But ear drops from a Chinese factory sold on a big Internet
- 19:43retailer's website are not necessarily going to help if you
- 19:47have, you know, PTSD or anything else.
- 19:51Very fast. So kind of use some common sense
- 19:54and, and I imagine also like word of mouth is quite a good
- 19:57thing. Like if you know, because there
- 19:59are lots of kind of online groups and communities where
- 20:02people, you know, kind of share their experiences.
- 20:05So I imagine if people, you know, say they've worked with
- 20:07someone that that can be helpful.
- 20:10Online communities, OK, this is not going to sound very nice,
- 20:14but it's like with with chronic pain as well.
- 20:18And tinnitus is very often likened to chronic pain.
- 20:21So there are people who are who've come to terms with it,
- 20:25who want to calm other people and actually help them.
- 20:29But there are others who are really frustrated and will tell
- 20:31you, oh, what are you doing in this group?
- 20:33Nothing is going to help you. It's going to get worse and
- 20:35worse. So that in might increase any
- 20:38negative suggestions further. So if you go to find an online
- 20:45community, make sure that it's a supportive 1.
- 20:47And there are some even on Facebook and and other places
- 20:51that are highly moderated and that are really good and
- 20:55supportive, but others are just toxic.
- 20:58You know you. See.
- 20:59In your issue. That, that that's true because I
- 21:01remember knowing someone with fibromyalgia and they asked me
- 21:04to create a, a hypnosis session for fibromyalgia and they said
- 21:09I'm in all of these Facebook groups, I'll share.
- 21:10It got taken down within a day. So even though it was something
- 21:14created for someone with fibromyalgia designed to kind of
- 21:18not just even like the, the suggestions, but the behavioral
- 21:23things, because things like a lot of sugar can cause
- 21:25inflammation, which can amplify these kind of things.
- 21:28No, it was taken down in a day. So there is sometimes a lot of
- 21:31judgement. I had one experience with an
- 21:34online group which I found, you know, it could have been life
- 21:36changing for me because I went to a part with my kids.
- 21:40I got bitten by a tick and it had this kind of big red kind of
- 21:44rash. And I'd heard about Lyme
- 21:46disease. I took a picture of it, put it
- 21:47in a couple of different groups and, and they're like, yeah, now
- 21:52that's, that's an early warning sign of, of Lyme disease.
- 21:55You need to get this checked out.
- 21:57And I'll be like, yeah, I'll do it on Monday.
- 21:59And they're like, no, you need to go right now.
- 22:01You need to go to the doctor. You need to get this particular
- 22:04thing and had I not had, and I think it came from people that
- 22:09they didn't have that chance to kind of capture it early, but
- 22:12they were able to influence me, just meant that I went to the
- 22:15doctor. I, I got this kind of all these
- 22:17kind of antibiotics and, and stuff.
- 22:19And he said, Oh, you don't need all this stuff.
- 22:21And I remember saying to the doctor, it's kind of like, well,
- 22:25if this could prevent Lyme disease, like what's the
- 22:30consequence of getting Lyme diseases?
- 22:31Oh, it's very difficult to get rid of.
- 22:33So it's like the upside is that, well, I have some antibiotics I
- 22:36don't need is the worst case scenario.
- 22:38But the best case scenario is I don't get Lyme disease.
- 22:41And that could be a lifelong condition.
- 22:44And the doctor didn't look at it in this risk reward ratio.
- 22:46It was purely no, no, I don't think I can prescribe these.
- 22:50So he gave me a school, a small diagnosis and I found just like
- 22:53an online website, I had to pretend I had malaria to get
- 22:56sufficient, you know, kind of antibiotics, but it was enough.
- 22:59And I kind of took these for a few months, don't have Lyme
- 23:02disease, thankfully, but I'm not sure I would have got the
- 23:04outcome if I didn't find this kind of particular online group
- 23:07and and they were taking it more seriously than than I was.
- 23:11So you're right. It's a very double edged, sharp,
- 23:13double edged sword there. We're going to be doing a, a
- 23:19hypnosis experience that I guess relates to kind of mind body.
- 23:22But before we hear your hypnosis, if someone's curious
- 23:27to learn about you and they want to kind of work with you
- 23:30directly or learn more about you or even see you speak at the
- 23:33Irish Hypnotherapy Convention, where can they go For more
- 23:36information? Well for hypnotherapy conference
- 23:39to Irish hypnotherapy conference dot IE to get tickets.
- 23:43My website address is solessence.co.
- 23:48You'll also be able to reach it soon by astridharms.com because
- 23:51it's one of the worst names I could have ever thought of
- 23:55spelling wise. So astridharms.com or just on
- 23:58Facebook? Perfect.
- 24:00Well, send me those links. I'll make sure they're in the
- 24:02show notes. When, when this goes live and
- 24:06you're going to do a hypnosis kind of experience for us, give
- 24:10us a bit of an intro about what you're about to do and then I'll
- 24:12put my my commute and it will all be over to you.
- 24:15So just give us a bit of a heads up of what to expect.
- 24:19Right, so because stress is a part of almost every tinnitus
- 24:23sufferers experience, I would do something that reduces the
- 24:27stress and just takes the focus of the tinnitus and hopefully
- 24:32it'll help the odd person. I'd love some feedback on it
- 24:36wherever you're listening to the show.
- 24:39And yeah, just. Let's get into it.
- 24:42Perfect. Well, in which case we'll we'll
- 24:44have your e-mail address in the show notes as well.
- 24:46So if anyone has got any feedback they wanted to share
- 24:48with with you, then they can certainly do that.
- 24:51I could also do with reducing some stress levels just because
- 24:54it's good to have less stress and more stress.
- 24:55So I'm going to experience this alongside our audience here.
- 24:58So I'm going to put myself on mute and it's over to you.
- 25:04Wonderful. So when you're ready, just sit
- 25:07back. Oh, do not listen to this while
- 25:08driving or operating heavy machinery if you are listening
- 25:11right now in the car or anywhere else.
- 25:13So just go ahead and take a deep breath in, and as you breathe
- 25:17out, just close your eyes and just imagine.
- 25:20Yourself floating. Inside your own experience.
- 25:25By your own mind, just notice how your body feels inside that
- 25:34chair, inside the. Bed wherever you are, that's
- 25:38being supported. And safe wherever you are, your
- 25:45body. Will stay straight and keep you
- 25:47upright. So as you're breathing in and
- 25:50out, just. Slowly.
- 25:54Breathing in breathing in calm, peace and relaxation and.
- 25:59On the out breath. Breathing out any stress, any
- 26:02worry. And with every breath you take.
- 26:07You can find yourself going deeper and deeper, floating
- 26:09down, deeper and deeper. That's it.
- 26:16As you go down deeper into your own experience, just notice any
- 26:24sounds outside your head, inside your head, on my side, on your
- 26:29side, and just notice. How they tell you that?
- 26:35Everything is normal, everything's fine, just.
- 26:41Turn your attention inward. And as you float down all the
- 26:49way down to a. Place where you.
- 26:51Can make all positive lifestyle changes, all changes that you
- 26:58would like to make to date. Imagine how all negative
- 27:06feelings, images, thoughts, emotions and sensations that
- 27:09have been holding you back, that have been influencing you just
- 27:20bloat up out of your head and just dissolve.
- 27:27They're being pulled out of your head, pulled out of your body,
- 27:32out of your mind. Just imagine this force pulling
- 27:43out all negative feelings, images, thoughts, emotions,
- 27:45sensations that have been holding you back, that have been
- 27:54influencing you for the past few days, weeks, months, all the way
- 27:58back and see we're a little child.
- 28:01And while that's happening, you just notice that any any sounds
- 28:12that. You were focusing.
- 28:13On become totally unimportant that you just focus.
- 28:23On your inside and. Just let go.
- 28:31You might see images, you might see memories that you've been
- 28:40holding on to and just let go those now.
- 28:51And just notice how your breath, your heartbeat start align just
- 29:10like you let go of those peeling insimilators, thoughts, emotion,
- 29:15sensations. Just imagine you're cleaning out
- 29:23your house. There's so many things that you
- 29:25have been holding on to boarding.
- 29:30Maybe I'd like you to just throw out anything that you don't need
- 29:40anymore. Just let go of anything that's
- 29:44useless to you now. So as you're floating.
- 29:59This is going to keep happening. It's letting go.
- 30:04Just imagine yourself floating out of this house out of this.
- 30:16Place that you're just. Cleaning out the subconscious,
- 30:19cleaning out for you. Just float above it, Float high
- 30:23above it, higher and higher. You might notice this feeling of
- 30:31being free, being totally harm and free and far down below you.
- 30:53This clearing out continues and will continue for the next few
- 30:56days, weeks and 1:00 as a subconscious mind that is always
- 31:02helping you, clearing out all of these issues for you.
- 31:11As you are floating, relaxing in calm, you might notice that this
- 31:24floating is calm, just increases inside your body, inside your
- 31:34mind, floating, calm, racing with every moment, every breath,
- 32:06and just allow this calmness, peace to fill you up and become
- 32:14stronger and stronger. And along with that, you might
- 32:28be feeling warmth, you might be feeling lightness, joy,
- 32:37happiness you haven't felt in a long time.
- 32:52This feeling, any time you'd like to go back to this feeling
- 32:57of calm, maybe joy and happiness.
- 33:08OK, so you can just close your eyes.
- 33:11Take a deep breath. And just take yourself.
- 33:16Back. To this place that you're in
- 33:19right now, floating, calm, peaceful, happy.
- 33:31I don't know whether it's going to be in a few days, weeks,
- 33:34months or maybe immediately that this, these things in your head,
- 33:46thoughts, those noises, those sensations, you'd notice that
- 33:52you haven't thought about them or haven't paid any attention to
- 33:55them whatsoever. So at some point in the next few
- 34:01days, weeks, man, you'll. Just notice.
- 34:05That you haven't paid any attention to that at all
- 34:10whatsoever. As you're enjoying this floating
- 34:24calm, be enjoying. You can let those changes that
- 34:35you've made, the space that you've made by letting go of
- 34:40anything that didn't serve you, you didn't need any more, be
- 34:44filled up with that joy, peace, calm, happiness, and a calm and
- 34:50peace and joy and happiness. Every time you sleep, every time
- 35:02you dream, you can notice that calm, peace, relaxation,
- 35:09reinforcing again and again, again so that every time you
- 35:13sleep, every time you dream, you can feel that calm, peace and
- 35:16relaxation, all of that reinforcing, feeling you again
- 35:24and again and again. When all of those changes have
- 35:32been taken on and you know they've been taken on, just take
- 35:38your time and come back out, open your eyes and feel amazing.
- 35:44Better than you have all day. Thank you so much for that.
- 35:57That was that was lovely. You're welcome.
