- 0:01Speaker 1: Jerry Katy and Josh one hundred.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Right, So there's some local stuff floating around this morning
- 0:06Speaker 2: that I think is kind of interesting. Denver Public School
- 0:09Speaker 2: students are pushing for ultimate frisbee to count.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Towards their PE credit.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Students from East High School and Northfield High School city
- 0:19Speaker 2: that they practice and compete just like athletes in more
- 0:24Speaker 2: traditional sports, but they have to take PE separately because
- 0:28Speaker 2: ultimate is not treated the same way as other sanctioned sports.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Do they compete I mean and train. I guess they practice.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I see him out there zipping those things around.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it takes some skill.
- 0:44Speaker 4: It's totally just as much like running too. You would
- 0:47Speaker 4: think as like a typical football game.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Nope, oh, you're comparing ultimate frisbee to a football game.
- 0:53Speaker 5: The tackling.
- 0:54Speaker 4: But like I've seen they play on the football field,
- 0:56Speaker 4: they run, they score touchdowns just like in football.
- 0:58Speaker 5: They run routes. Ye think it's a lot of running.
- 1:02Speaker 6: Okay, Like the people who are into it, especially when
- 1:05Speaker 6: it first came out, what was it called frolfing, Well
- 1:07Speaker 6: that's different.
- 1:08Speaker 3: That's different. That's frisbee golf, which is.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Not a lot but still, I mean, there's some skill
- 1:14Speaker 1: to it. And they have to work up to like
- 1:16Speaker 1: they have to practice.
- 1:17Speaker 6: They do, so I feel like anytime out onto the
- 1:21Speaker 6: field should be counted.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Why I think I'm for this because you know what
- 1:27Speaker 2: I took in high school is my PE credit?
- 1:29Speaker 3: What bowling?
- 1:31Speaker 2: I took bowling as my PE credits for the semester,
- 1:35Speaker 2: and I don't brag.
- 1:37Speaker 3: I was a pretty decent athlete there.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah I did that. Oh I did it. It has
- 1:41Speaker 2: been done. Did I did bowling as my PE credit?
- 1:45Speaker 1: So what? Yeah? What what's with the face kingpin over there?
- 1:50Speaker 1: Like what I got?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Munsoned? I had the you know, the wrist brace. I
- 1:57Speaker 3: had a bag, you know.
- 1:58Speaker 6: I would stretch like could you throw the ball down
- 2:01Speaker 6: the lane?
- 2:02Speaker 1: And it it went one way and then all of
- 2:05Speaker 1: a sudden it did the quick spin.
- 2:06Speaker 2: And then you'd be like, oh, there's too much oil
- 2:08Speaker 2: on these lanes.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Too much oil.
- 2:10Speaker 2: No, honestly, I sucked really well and I still suck
- 2:13Speaker 2: a bowling, but I took it as my credit.
- 2:14Speaker 3: In high school.
- 2:16Speaker 2: So if these if these nerds want to do their
- 2:19Speaker 2: ultimate Frisbee, I say let them let them get credit
- 2:22Speaker 2: for it.
- 2:23Speaker 3: You can take bowling and get school credit. Else to
- 2:26Speaker 3: the yes, all day long with the ultimate Frisbee.
- 2:29Speaker 1: So you're sports, Okay, gosh, what you got?
- 2:33Speaker 4: Look, I want to talk about how uh I guess wrong.
- 2:37Speaker 4: I was first of all about this whole World Cup thing.
- 2:40Speaker 4: I have never experienced it personally. Coming to the United States.
- 2:44Speaker 4: It has been one of the most like most exciting
- 2:48Speaker 4: joy Might I say.
- 2:49Speaker 5: It like North Dakota, He really does.
- 2:51Speaker 4: It's been one of the most exciting things that I
- 2:53Speaker 4: have witnessed now even in real life. Like I remember
- 2:56Speaker 4: over the weekend, I was at like a rooftop bar
- 3:00Speaker 4: that was not showing any of the games, but it
- 3:02Speaker 4: was in Denver, and I know that we don't have
- 3:04Speaker 4: any World Cup events coming in Denver right now, but
- 3:07Speaker 4: watching and listening to fans from around Denver cheer for
- 3:12Speaker 4: their team was one of the coolest things.
- 3:14Speaker 5: I have ever seen in my life.
- 3:16Speaker 4: I was up on the thirteenth floor of a building
- 3:19Speaker 4: and it at like McGregor square and number thirty eight,
- 3:23Speaker 4: depending on the game you were watching. All around Denver,
- 3:26Speaker 4: you would hear people cheering. It was one of the
- 3:28Speaker 4: coolest things I've ever heard in my life, and it
- 3:30Speaker 4: got me so excited to hear this. And on top
- 3:33Speaker 4: of that, the millions of Europeans and people from all
- 3:37Speaker 4: over the world discovering what America has to offer, and
- 3:40Speaker 4: not just seeing things, you know, in over the internet.
- 3:45Speaker 4: You know, they're being able to see it in person
- 3:47Speaker 4: and experience it in person. An Australian man came to
- 3:50Speaker 4: the US and he decided to stop by a Texas roadhouse,
- 3:53Speaker 4: and his interaction.
- 3:54Speaker 5: Was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
- 3:56Speaker 7: It's unbelievable. First of all, I give you the painout.
- 3:59Speaker 7: You can hate as many as you want. It's like
- 4:01Speaker 7: you just take a bag. Then they come out and
- 4:03Speaker 7: I put this bread on the table and I'm like,
- 4:05Speaker 7: I didn't order the bread, so like, oh, that's free.
- 4:07Speaker 7: And you guys an if you want more bread, would
- 4:08Speaker 7: just give you more. Then they give you the coke.
- 4:10Speaker 7: Of course, it's America, so it's unlimited Rayfield. That's fantastic.
- 4:14Speaker 7: I like Texas, but.
- 4:16Speaker 1: They don't have refills anywhere else.
- 4:18Speaker 3: They don't American.
- 4:19Speaker 4: So that's our thing is there's other people that he goes,
- 4:23Speaker 4: I only paid for this drink once. Yeah, you can
- 4:25Speaker 4: get it a thousand times, and his buddy's going, you
- 4:27Speaker 4: can't drink a thousand cokes Mate's it doesn't matter.
- 4:31Speaker 3: I think I love it, but I could so good.
- 4:33Speaker 6: I love the ones who went to the waffle house
- 4:36Speaker 6: and they're like, we as Americans, need to make sure
- 4:38Speaker 6: that we start a fight in front of these Europeans
- 4:40Speaker 6: just so they get the full American experience, you know.
- 4:43Speaker 5: In the morning party.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Let's get you caught up with what's going on in
- 4:49Speaker 2: this goofy blue marble.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Today is one of those days.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Where the national days, you know, there's generally multiple national
- 4:56Speaker 2: days to fall out Wenday.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, there's like twenty things whatever.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Yeah, this one is kind of funny because it the
- 5:02Speaker 2: way they line up today is National Kissing Day aligned
- 5:06Speaker 2: with National Onion Ring Day.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Probably not the best kisses after you eat some onion
- 5:11Speaker 3: rings and then you go in for the kill.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Kiss and then eat onion rings.
- 5:16Speaker 3: I think so that's the movie.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm not a big onion ring guy.
- 5:21Speaker 5: I love them.
- 5:22Speaker 3: They never really have been.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I do find it very impressive though, when you're at
- 5:26Speaker 2: one of those restaurants and they bring out the stack
- 5:28Speaker 2: of onion rings on the little pole that they do
- 5:31Speaker 2: pole dance.
- 5:32Speaker 3: And onion rings. Yes, they they really look impressive when
- 5:36Speaker 3: they bring it.
- 5:36Speaker 6: I get the frings, so you get the mixture of
- 5:39Speaker 6: the fries and the onion rings.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 5:43Speaker 2: You go to those fast food places where they accidentally toss.
- 5:46Speaker 5: An onion ring and.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Something, you put it on your finger and you pretend
- 5:52Speaker 3: that you're married to it. Onion.
- 5:54Speaker 1: How do we all do the same thing?
- 5:55Speaker 5: I know, right, will you marry me?
- 5:57Speaker 1: Onion? Okay? Okay?
- 6:00Speaker 2: Toy Story God, I guess people are still liking this
- 6:02Speaker 2: goofy franchise dominated the weekend box office, generating one hundred
- 6:06Speaker 2: and sixty million dollars across North American theaters. Still probably
- 6:11Speaker 2: not as good as he Man, but people are out
- 6:13Speaker 2: there seeing it.
- 6:14Speaker 5: I saw it. It was really good that I really
- 6:17Speaker 5: liked it. No, it was you go by yourself? Yep.
- 6:19Speaker 5: I was in there by my No, I did not
- 6:21Speaker 5: go by myself. It was really cool. Did you go
- 6:23Speaker 5: with my nephews? I know? Yeah? And it was fun
- 6:29Speaker 5: and it was it fun? The message I.
- 6:31Speaker 6: Know, Well, that's the thing is you he can't knock
- 6:33Speaker 6: Toy Story. Every time they come out with something. It's money.
- 6:36Speaker 1: But I was confused at the release dates, like I.
- 6:38Speaker 6: Thought for sure they do He Man on Father's Day
- 6:41Speaker 6: weekend and Toy Story the weekend before. I really thought
- 6:44Speaker 6: that that's how they were going to do it. So
- 6:46Speaker 6: the fact that they premiere in Toy Story five on
- 6:48Speaker 6: Father's Day weekend, I think that it's not like it
- 6:51Speaker 6: needed any help with the box office push, but it helped.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I feel like it helped it and hurt he Man.
- 6:57Speaker 3: So poor he Man. You guys, it's it was such
- 6:59Speaker 3: a good movie. I don't get it.
- 7:01Speaker 2: I walked in the kitchen yesterday. My wife had taken
- 7:04Speaker 2: the little he Man poster. It's not very big, it's
- 7:06Speaker 2: maybe four foot tall, two foot wide, I don't know, and.
- 7:09Speaker 3: She had put it up in the kitchen. It's not
- 7:12Speaker 3: an aun, it's because he's sitting there at old and
- 7:14Speaker 3: half naked with his ass. So she put it up
- 7:17Speaker 3: in the kitchen. I was I took it down.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I was like, I'm not No, no, no, she was
- 7:24Speaker 2: doing it.
- 7:24Speaker 3: For her, Thanks you very much. She yeah.
- 7:27Speaker 5: I was like no.
- 7:28Speaker 3: I walked in and I saw it.
- 7:30Speaker 2: No, no, was going in the basement or in the trash.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And then Giselle Bunching went online yesterday and was thanking
- 7:40Speaker 2: her new husband for leading by example for all the values,
- 7:45Speaker 2: his love, his integrity, his mute humility, his discipline, and
- 7:49Speaker 2: he thanked she thanked a bunch of fathers or him
- 7:52Speaker 2: specifically than her father, and didn't say anything about Tom Brady.
- 7:56Speaker 2: She just put a generic happy Father's Day to all
- 7:58Speaker 2: the dads out there. Oh and she and Tom Brady
- 8:02Speaker 2: have two kids together, and people are considering this a
- 8:06Speaker 2: big old snub at TB.
- 8:09Speaker 3: So I don't know what to think about that.
- 8:11Speaker 4: I mean, he admits he was a horrible friend. What
- 8:13Speaker 4: it was, He's talked about it. He's like, I football
- 8:16Speaker 4: was my I was married to the game, literally, and
- 8:19Speaker 4: he put his family on the back burner. And that
- 8:21Speaker 4: is essentially why they got divorced.
- 8:23Speaker 6: And do you know what Giselle had to do so
- 8:26Speaker 6: much in her marriage to him was stick up for him,
- 8:30Speaker 6: was swallow her pride and say he's great.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You know what, she doesn't have to do.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Anymore that that, No more swallowing that pride.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, do anything.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I just got a text for my
- 8:45Speaker 3: wife that just said.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Send me a picnic nack. I want to see what
- 8:53Speaker 1: that looks like.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Guess what I'm going to Amazon right now and I'm
- 8:57Speaker 2: ordering a poster size picture of Sydney's Sweeny the living room,
- 9:03Speaker 2: the man thing.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm like, you really do love your wife? No, that's
- 9:05Speaker 1: a sweet thing. Side makes way more sense.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Okay, all right, okay.
- 9:11Speaker 6: So you know out west near Fruda, that leaving Colorado
- 9:15Speaker 6: sign that's like as you make your way to Utah, is.
- 9:17Speaker 3: This the Colorado Got Boomed story?
- 9:20Speaker 6: Yes, yes, leave Colorado got boomed? So the sign was
- 9:23Speaker 6: absolutely obliterated in.
- 9:26Speaker 1: A car accident. So somebody a blown tire.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Somebody is okay, tire.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Hit that sign and if you go look at the pictures,
- 9:33Speaker 1: it is in pieces.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Now we won't know if we're leaving Colorado or not.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Where am I right now?
- 9:40Speaker 6: So you know, thankfully nobody was hurt in the whole thing.
- 9:43Speaker 6: But it's actually closer to like Loma Max, So past
- 9:46Speaker 6: that fruita spot it is.
- 9:48Speaker 3: I know exactly where it is, No, exactly where, exactly
- 9:50Speaker 3: where that is.
- 9:51Speaker 6: It's funny because it's like what they put in the
- 9:53Speaker 6: news story, one of the most photographed signs across Colorado,
- 9:57Speaker 6: and it really is.
- 9:58Speaker 3: I feel like I pulled over.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Who hasn't I feel like everybody it's an obligation. If
- 10:03Speaker 6: you're going from one state to another to get out, you.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Gotta take a picture.
- 10:07Speaker 2: One of the biggest fights I get in with with
- 10:09Speaker 2: sweet nick Knack, who loves he Man, is when we
- 10:13Speaker 2: go on road trips. She makes me pull over to
- 10:16Speaker 2: all the signs like an idiot tourist.
- 10:19Speaker 3: She's just get the pictures.
- 10:20Speaker 1: You need pictures.
- 10:22Speaker 2: My happiest moments are when we cross into other states.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I think it's like even Iowa where you go over
- 10:26Speaker 2: a bridge and you can't stop because it's on the
- 10:30Speaker 2: bridge in the middle of the river.
- 10:31Speaker 3: You know, well, can't stop, darn it. But yeah, she has.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Made me throw on my brakes and swerve over like
- 10:38Speaker 2: four lanes to get to a side.
- 10:39Speaker 1: It's a good wife. That's what we did. It's the
- 10:41Speaker 1: dumbest ever.
- 10:42Speaker 3: It's part of our jobs.
- 10:44Speaker 1: It's part of our job.
- 10:46Speaker 5: Kids.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Get ready, I hate it, Get in and take a picture.
- 10:49Speaker 1: We'll see how much you've grown since last time you
- 10:51Speaker 1: got out of the car took a picture.
- 10:53Speaker 3: You make a great point.
- 10:54Speaker 2: No matter how many times we stopped at a Nebraska sign,
- 10:57Speaker 2: every time, we.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Still gotta take a picture. You have out. Let's stand
- 11:01Speaker 1: next to ninety mile an hour traffic. Get our picture.
- 11:05Speaker 3: You're gonna find our splattered bodies across the highway one
- 11:08Speaker 3: day because somebody's gonna lose control.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I got this sign, but nobody was hurt.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Imagine some imaginal little family standing at that sign when
- 11:16Speaker 2: that blown tire hit.
- 11:17Speaker 1: That's not what happens. That is not what happened. Everything
- 11:20Speaker 1: was fine.
- 11:20Speaker 3: I don't like to do it.
- 11:21Speaker 1: You need pictures with those signs like you do, because
- 11:25Speaker 1: what about the like who.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Knows we just crossed them, imaginary walk.
- 11:30Speaker 1: In an under stage, who knows when they're gonna fix
- 11:33Speaker 1: that sign? Thankfully, you have your picture in your phone.
- 11:37Speaker 3: It remember when that sign was there?
- 11:40Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Back in ninety four, I'm surprised people haven't posted their
- 11:44Speaker 1: picture with that sign, like I remember that rider Colorado.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Phone and find a.
- 11:51Speaker 6: Sign or find a picture with that sign, because I
- 11:53Speaker 6: know I haven't. I lived over there.
- 11:55Speaker 4: I hate they have it the other three stupid of Colorado.
- 11:59Speaker 1: They do, but every corner specific.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Yeah, there's only four roads that come into Colorado, that's it,
- 12:05Speaker 2: and they have them with the other three.
- 12:08Speaker 3: There's only four roads that come in and out of
- 12:10Speaker 3: this state.
- 12:11Speaker 1: We still need our picture. I'm telling you, I need
- 12:14Speaker 1: to document this moment.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Okay, they still have them on the other three sides
- 12:19Speaker 3: of the state.
- 12:21Speaker 6: This one is important. You know what, There'll never be
- 12:24Speaker 6: another sign like that one.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Do you truly believe there's only like four in and
- 12:29Speaker 2: outs to this state? Josh said that it's like they
- 12:33Speaker 2: still have him onwhere else?
- 12:35Speaker 4: With me?
- 12:35Speaker 2: Yes, first second, I was like, there's only four ways
- 12:40Speaker 2: in road, in and out.
- 12:43Speaker 1: They all have a size, that's how you know.
- 12:45Speaker 3: But anyway, r I p me one more thing.
- 12:48Speaker 6: Okay, so do you want you pick Highlands Ranch no
- 12:52Speaker 6: fireworks because that one is pretty interesting because if you remember,
- 12:56Speaker 6: there is Douglas County. They canceled fireworks for Highland's Ranch,
- 13:03Speaker 6: but all the other places are.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Doing a firework show within Douglas County.
- 13:07Speaker 6: So you have Loan Tree, you have other parts that
- 13:10Speaker 6: are saying, well, we're still going to do the fireworks.
- 13:12Speaker 6: But folks in Highland's Ranch they say that they're not
- 13:14Speaker 6: going to have a fireworks show. So they're still going
- 13:16Speaker 6: to have a concert on July second, parade on July fourth,
- 13:20Speaker 6: but no fireworks. And people there with Douglas County they're like,
- 13:24Speaker 6: no pretty sure.
- 13:25Speaker 1: We're still going to do it.
- 13:26Speaker 6: Out of an abundance of safety for our community, we've
- 13:29Speaker 6: declined to put on the fireworks show this year. We
- 13:32Speaker 6: ask our community to be responsible in making good decisions
- 13:35Speaker 6: during drought one fire restrictions.
- 13:38Speaker 1: And we need to model that as well.
- 13:40Speaker 6: Okay, so that those are the people with Highland's Ranch actually,
- 13:43Speaker 6: and they were just saying that, Yeah, we specifically here
- 13:45Speaker 6: in Highland's Ranch. We just don't think it's a good
- 13:47Speaker 6: idea to have all those fireworks up in the air.
- 13:50Speaker 6: You grew up there, Josh, and I just feel like
- 13:52Speaker 6: Highland's Ranch when I look at it, there are so
- 13:54Speaker 6: many trees, like.
- 13:55Speaker 2: And now the houses are so close together, and it's
- 13:58Speaker 2: just so dry right.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Now in kind of community that when you're looking.
- 14:01Speaker 2: There's only one way in and out of Highland Ranch,
- 14:03Speaker 2: So you definitely don't want to flow down the fire exactly.
- 14:07Speaker 6: So no fireworks and Highlands Ranch, but lawn Tree. So
- 14:12Speaker 6: they places you can still watch.
- 14:14Speaker 3: You go, there's a hype.
- 14:15Speaker 2: You're up to date on everything that's trending this morning
- 14:18Speaker 2: with Jeremy Katie Josh here at makes
