- 6:56[SPEAKER_07]: The outline with Jeff Graham, I am Jeff Graham, and what it is outside it is sunny.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_07]: It's warm 46 degrees at last peak, and we expect to have this warm weather in the 40s, maybe even 50 overnight, a lot of wind tomorrow and some rain could be some problems resulting from that, but I'll tell you this snow is going to take a beating if it's not already.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_07]: We had a lot of early snow this year, you know, winter got a real head start on us, because it isn't technically winter yet.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_07]: And we've had some cold cold weather below zero, we've had significant amounts of snow and here it goes.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_07]: Hopefully it'll get cleared up tonight and we can start fresh.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_07]: And the forecast going up into the holiday week doesn't look too bad.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_07]: It doesn't look like anything drastic and seasonal temperatures on that jazz but nothing bad.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_07]: So over the matter and through the woods, it's gonna be okay next week.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know how much snow they'll be in the ground to the white stuff as they call it down the street.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_07]: what else is going on you know what's the top story in the north country today well i don't know i was a newsman i'm not a licensed newsman i would think if ten thousand residents of Jefferson County were told last night they were going to get one thousand seven hundred and seventy six dollars by next thursday i would think that be newsworthy
- 8:22[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that's a big deal.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_07]: There's a warrior bonus that the president announced last night.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_07]: I didn't really pay much attention to his speech.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_07]: I watched a little of it.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_07]: You know, I get tired, I'm with a lot of you.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_07]: I get tired of blaming Biden and carrying on and all of that.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_07]: But that's an interesting thing.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_07]: 10,000, I aren't through 10,000 people at Fort Drum.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_07]: There was a lot out there.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_07]: And they're all going to get a 1776 dollar bonus.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_07]: Man, I hope they bring it down to Pearl Street.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that's a good for the community.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_07]: There might be a little boost, but there you go, I've had that's my lead story the day.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_07]: My other thing, and this is kind of an anti-woody deal, and it just takes me off.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_07]: You know, when you want to, I don't like giving gift cards.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_07]: If you're going to give cash,
- 9:20[SPEAKER_07]: Remember the old days when you get a card for your birthday or Christmas, you know, open it up and there was a, you know, area where you could put up a bill and there's an oval there and you could see the president's face and yeah.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_07]: So if you open it up and there was Ben Franklin or you'll see his grander.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_07]: In the case of some people, I guess they blink and but it was kind of neat.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_07]: So I don't know, I can't eat today and very nice lady at the front desk.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_07]: You know, not just fetching, but very helpful too.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_07]: Always, you know, let me have a, she even offered to let me take a card outside to take my stuff for the card and need to.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_07]: But I didn't.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_07]: Anyway, she was helping me find her.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_07]: We couldn't find anything.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_07]: Everything has like a little area where you can put a gift card.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_07]: Now we can put money in no, too.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_07]: But why do they take this stuff away from us?
- 10:10[SPEAKER_07]: The things we grew up with?
- 10:13[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I like those old cards and you can't get of anymore.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_07]: Now, maybe a can of his special order
- 10:22[SPEAKER_07]: Come on, man.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_07]: Everything's just going to hell in the hand basket.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_07]: I'll tell you.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_07]: I will tell you.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_07]: Now let's see.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_07]: You know, this afternoon, I was going to have, I was supposed to call her back around two.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_07]: Remember, Allison ran from there.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_07]: I think she's a lawyer or almost a lawyer now.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_07]: She went to law school.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_07]: She's been working an internship at a big firm in Florida.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_07]: Really, um, it was a blessing for her that she lost that May oral race, but I got to talk to her this afternoon that some advice from her on some stuff.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_07]: Well, let's see what else there is.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, the bishop up in Agnesburg's got
- 11:15[SPEAKER_07]: He was bishop of jolene, joliet, Illinois, joliet, Pope country there in Illinois, Cardinal Dolan is retired at age 75.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_07]: How can they?
- 11:26[SPEAKER_07]: He's a pretty sharp guy.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_07]: I see him on TV all the time, he's a very person of, but he has to retire at 75.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_07]: He should go to the US Senate, he'd be a young guy there, he could go on forever.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_07]: He's a lot sharper in most of these people who are in Congress, I think.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_07]: Well, we like the Cardinal and we wish the new Cardinal well.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_07]: What set up promotion do you get?
- 11:59[SPEAKER_07]: How do they pay those people?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_07]: Is that like in the Army where it's you're in 06 or 07 or it wasn't like that?
- 12:08[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_07]: I mean Cardinal's got to be a little more money, I would think.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_07]: And did they have steps?
- 12:15[SPEAKER_07]: Cardinal step one step.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_07]: As you were in there over the years.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_07]: How they work.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_07]: So anyway, he's in charge in New York, the big good day.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_07]: What do they call it?
- 12:28[SPEAKER_07]: Diocese in New York, whatever.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_07]: It's a big one.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_07]: But symbolically, it's big.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_07]: It's just right near all the media.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_07]: So I'm sure we'll see Cardinal X and TV a lot.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_07]: And I would think, now, the retired Cardinal,
- 12:43[SPEAKER_07]: I know up here in Watertown, back when the mother house was open, they used to the priest used to have to go there, but I would think, uh, Cardinal Dolan could still do things, go on TV and all of that.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_07]: So, now they're still looking for that shooter in Providence.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_07]: Well, they don't need the daily press conferences or anything like that.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_07]: I'll find it when they find them.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_07]: You know, the media is carried on always not enough cameras.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_07]: Well, you can't have a camera on everything.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_07]: I know we're used to that, but there's hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of cameras on that in that city and on that campus.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_07]: And the fact that this guy walked away, well, sometimes you could do it.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_07]: Somebody could walk in here and blow me away.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_07]: And, you know, I hope they
- 13:38[SPEAKER_07]: You know, I can see anybody walking out and they could probably be on 81 and on their way somewhere in no time.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_07]: So, I don't blame them, I don't blame the school for that.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_07]: Let's see what's going on, but about the Epstein files are they all coming out by Friday?
- 13:58[SPEAKER_07]: I want to see, I want to see a picture of Bill Clinton and Mike and Mr. Epstein and she's laying in all of that, yeah.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_07]: There was a story about Bill Clinton begging the Moroccans to let Epstein and his girlfriend come to a royal wedding there.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I don't, so what?
- 14:15[SPEAKER_07]: These people travel in a different social orbit than any of us.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_07]: The rich people, the powerful.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_07]: I don't care about the Epstein.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_07]: Fazle, we have some listeners.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I get that.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_07]: Because that's going to show us Trump.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_07]: Trump's going to be there for three more years, but the aliquid or not, get over it.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_07]: Come up with a better candidate.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_07]: jackals like Gavin Newsom and all of that now you've got comola actin like she's running again you're gonna run comola again oh my god oh my god well let's see you know things trump does it get me you know now they'll see an end's complaining not so much
- 15:01[SPEAKER_07]: You know that all those in the White House and that hallway, they got all the president's pictures, which is fine, I think that's a great idea.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_07]: But then he has the one picture in Biden's spot, whereas a picture of the auto pen, childish.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_07]: And then he's got some plaques under other ones, you know.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_07]: Call them sleepy, John, stop.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_07]: Just stop.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I like Trump policies, but Trump is getting annoying, even to me.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_07]: I voted for him three times too.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_07]: Now I don't regret those votes because look at the alternatives.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_07]: But I just don't like all of that stuff.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_07]: I don't see any need for it.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_07]: Let's see.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_07]: The darkest day of the year is coming up with the 21st.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_07]: And it's the case.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_07]: Daylight starts getting longer.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_07]: It's funny how all the most of the crappy weather comes after the day start getting longer.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_07]: But that's the way it is.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_07]: Good afternoon right near.
- 16:05[UNKNOWN]: Hey, crazy Ray.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, crazy Ray.
- 16:08[UNKNOWN]: Those cards you want are at the home.
- 16:10[UNKNOWN]: The green, what is it?
- 16:12[UNKNOWN]: Dollar tree.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_07]: Really?
- 16:14[SPEAKER_07]: The ones where you can put your cash in it in their Christmas cards.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_07]: Too late, I already bought the other kind.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I don't know.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_07]: I was just, I mean, the lady helped me.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_07]: She went through all the cards on the rack.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, I can't fault them.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_07]: Very nice.
- 16:31[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 16:31[UNKNOWN]: I think I know a lot of them actually.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_08]: I, you know, I, I'm with you as far as these pictures go.
- 16:37[UNKNOWN]: Like just say there's a picture of Clinton standing with us.
- 16:40[UNKNOWN]: Epstein, what, what is it?
- 16:42[UNKNOWN]: Nothing.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_07]: Who cares?
- 16:44[UNKNOWN]: It cares?
- 16:45[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 16:45[UNKNOWN]: It's not any evidence through anything.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_07]: Listen, there's pictures of me.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_07]: I've got it.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_07]: There's a picture of me.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_07]: with uh... with a drag queen i mean thank god the times never got a hold of it that's back when they were paper madam of neark state or neark city yeah well exactly yeah well they didn't like that yeah there was some often and often from the the g man up there on that but uh... yeah we were a customer she was a nice lady too i don't care oh she was nice now
- 17:24[UNKNOWN]: I don't really think that there's truthfully was anything wrong with that situation.
- 17:28[UNKNOWN]: They had to frame her because you wanted to be mares.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_07]: Listen, I got to, right?
- 17:32[UNKNOWN]: I just get rid of her.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_07]: And the big thing out of that is I got to meet Roger Stone.
- 17:40[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 17:41[UNKNOWN]: But it's like, you know, these crazy people, like, you know, when that picture comes on, it's from with, uh, without seeing standing there at a party, what, okay, what is it that's going to be at?
- 17:54[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I don't know if I like him or not, but you know, you know, I'm just saying he came right out and said I don't, I never liked that scene any way I don't, you don't believe me what I don't really care Hmm, you know, you never liked the guy You know, some lady came by the
- 18:25[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you know last night some lady came over and kissed my mousse, they came over kissed your mousse, yeah, I mean I guess she and her husband were buying a nice people really nice people, but she wants me she wants my mousse, I have it back and I guess I was asleep, but
- 18:55[SPEAKER_08]: a lot of people would like that animal so well i want to see i was talking to an already but i should talk with you first i want to see them looking for the Thomas damn ball um... troll they they they're all over the country the guy comes in and he makes them and they're like a big tourist attraction
- 19:29[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, anything that's a scrap piece and so what they put out there that is somewhere's in the on a map and then people look for it now I was thinking If because I saw the president thing if seventeen hundred and seventy six dollars goes to ten thousand people aren't the ten thousand four drum soldiers Is that the number I don't know I this is a story I had not seen well that's seven
- 19:58[SPEAKER_07]: No, but that's seven here this out.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_07]: That's 17.8 million dollars being infused into our local economy.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_07]: I think that I think that's news and some of that money I hope comes down to Pearl Street, maybe they'll buy a car somewhere who knows.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, no one should boost the whole area if they spend it.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, oh, they will.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah, the thousand dollars of it they had to have been born last year of this year, right?
- 20:36[UNKNOWN]: Oh, yeah.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, you had to be the last year or this year.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you can't have your 30 year old kid get a thought.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_07]: No.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to have to produce another kid somehow.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_07]: No.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you should get working on it right away.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think so.
- 20:52[UNKNOWN]: I don't think so.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_07]: I think that's a kind of a neat idea.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_08]: like that.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, what about people who are born a year I was born.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_07]: They should get something to.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, do you know, say money?
- 21:18[UNKNOWN]: That's what they need to teach people.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, now do you remember, remember the two people who were caught kissing at the Cold Play concert?
- 21:30[SPEAKER_07]: It was, they were a cold play as a rock band, and they were kissing, and it was on the kiss cam, but they weren't, they were married to other people, and water was actually a subordinate of the other, the big company they worked for.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I guess that woman has done an interview.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_07]: She says it was a mistake after a few tequila cocktails.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_07]: I know tequila,
- 21:59[SPEAKER_07]: The song says to kill a make sure clothes fall off, but, right, uh, I guess.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I don't know about that, but I guess their marriage is broke up.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_07]: Well, she says it was a one time alcohol few old mistake.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, right, but what you'd say to an I would do.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that's what they all say.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_07]: I don't see anything wrong with it by the, you know, you know, yeah, well, I don't know about those kiss cams, you know, if you're in the stands at a big concert or a sporting event, not sure they should zoom in on you like that, but on the other hand, well, it's part of the kiss cam, though.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, well, of course they were out of the, I don't know, I mean, you're
- 22:58[SPEAKER_07]: You know, there's like, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh uh, uh uh, uh uh, uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh
- 23:23[SPEAKER_07]: Did have a crush on this guy, Byron, the boss.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_07]: And they shared Tequila cocktails dance together and exchanged a kiss in their VIP balcony seats at the concert.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_07]: She says, that's the first and only time.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_08]: Like, I don't buy it.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_07]: She says, I want my kids to know that he can make mistakes and really screw up.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I guess some people really herander online.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_07]: That's not nice.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_07]: That's what people do these days, you know, they just, they're simple things.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_07]: Now, well, I don't, I don't know.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_07]: I guess the, the guy, a cold, cold place front man, Chris Martin said, quote, either they're having an affair or they're very shy.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_07]: He said in the, to the whole stadium.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_07]: Because when they saw they were on the kiss cam, they suddenly got nervous.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_07]: You know, they were out in front of probably 50,000 people.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_08]: And then the whole world after that.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_07]: And if you're going to play Kissyface, do it somewhere else, right?
- 24:38[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_07]: And what we're going to do is... Oh, okay.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_07]: That's an option, too, I guess.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_07]: Or don't.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_07]: That's a big option.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_07]: But don't blame it on Tequila.
- 24:47[UNKNOWN]: But the quick one I want to see is commercials there.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_08]: About Texas, Texas, Central Diseases or something.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_08]: And they say,
- 24:53[SPEAKER_08]: You can get these medicines or whatever, and I always say, you know what, there's another option.
- 24:58[UNKNOWN]: You don't do it.
- 25:00[UNKNOWN]: Wow.
- 25:01[UNKNOWN]: You don't do it in the first place.
- 25:03[UNKNOWN]: You find a hospital or a hospital.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_08]: That is boiled to you and doesn't run around like a little dog.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_13]: Hey.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_08]: I know that's had hurt sometimes.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_07]: I know.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_07]: The two work, you used to work in car dealerships.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_07]: They're all running around like the little dogs, aren't they?
- 25:25[SPEAKER_08]: Now I could tell you I could write a book on all of that.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_07]: Oh boy.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_07]: Better run it by Billy first.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_07]: I have to forget all of you.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_07]: All right, well, Ray, thank you very much.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_07]: All right, buddy.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_07]: Bye now.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_07]: Well, you know, I wasn't in that business long, but I could add a chapter to Ray's book there.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_07]: I saw a few things.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_07]: Well, my lips are sealed.

- 29:25[SPEAKER_05]: Here and just contracting wishes you and your family a joyous holiday season in a very happy new year.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_10]: Hey, I'm 1240 WATN.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_10]: We got some texts in here.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_07]: Somebody said crazy, radius crazy, I'm kidding.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_07]: Um, somebody else said, what about all the company workers who said they'd known about the affair for a long time?
- 30:02[SPEAKER_07]: I don't, yeah, I know, they were, you know, when you're having an affair, sometimes an event like a concert, it's the only time you can get away to play kissy face.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_07]: I'll show you how to trip out of town.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_07]: Um, somebody said, can the next part-time city judge live in Shamo or Redwood?
- 30:22[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know, probably.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_07]: Um, I gotta remember, those judges worked for the Office of Court Administration, not city hall, so.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_07]: They can really let them live any, I mean, unless them, it nets up in the mayor gets a handout.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_07]: That whole thing with the city judge thing, when she got to fill that, that 200,000 plus job can you imagine?
- 30:45[SPEAKER_07]: Somebody make an 18,000 year being allowed to hand out a job.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_07]: That'd be like allowing you or meet at higher school superintendant.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_07]: Oh my god, but she did.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_07]: And let's see, I don't know what to say other than that.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_07]: The weather is certainly on everybody's mind.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_07]: Maybe it isn't, maybe it's not on yours.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_07]: It sort of is.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, we can get rid of some of this snow and ice Especially the ice and nobody cares about the snow on a ground or whatever you like to get it off the roof You don't one of the most Sisyphian tasks is in a world shoveling snow off a roof Yeah Even Sisyphus wouldn't do that all winter, but some people do.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_07]: I've got to get up there with my snow barn
- 31:39[SPEAKER_07]: Come on man, if it's going to collapse, you should have thought of that when you built the house.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, but they do it every year and fall off of roofs and that's a lot of work.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_07]: And where today is increasingly lazy, Gen Z. I mean, who's going to shovel roofs in 30 years?
- 31:59[SPEAKER_07]: Nobody.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_07]: So we better make the roofs steeper, okay?
- 32:04[SPEAKER_07]: So they said this to no, because there's not going to be a generation around who thinks it's a good idea to get up on a roof and shovel snow.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_07]: I can tell you that right now, you can't get somebody to shovel a driveway now, sure I'm going to get up on a roof.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_07]: You know, find some, you know, old country, you know, I see a situation where you see like some guy in his 60s up on a roof or something, oh my god, I mean, you know, well,
- 32:34[SPEAKER_07]: 755, 1240, the phone number, if you'd like to give us a hoot and hoot and holler on the air today, we can talk about whatever you want within the balance of good taste.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_07]: The balance of good taste, about that lot of price, now they build it as 1.5 billion, he'll be getting around 300 million after taxes and all that.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_07]: Still a good amount of money, it would be a shocker if the old drive up window it and dividend drive to hand that to the young lady.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_07]: Yep.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know, I sometimes wonder whether they run these things up.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_07]: It's kind of like those queen hearts things where they run out like 52 cards and it does get people playing more and gets more money and I wonder whether that's the same with the lottery.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_07]: They like to run it up because now everybody's going to be buying for Saturday's draw.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_07]: It's just hard to imagine that I know there's a lot of combinations.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_07]: I know there are.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_07]: I know what the odds are, but you think with a number of people buying them, it would be something.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_07]: But now it's up to what they say, 1.5 billion.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_07]: And the other thing is they'll say somebody want it in some state.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_07]: And you'll never hear anything more.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_07]: I don't give me this stuff about their entitle of their privacy.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_07]: If I win that kind of money, people are going to know about it.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_07]: If you win it, you're going to not tell your wife, you're going to not tell your sister and like, you're going to not tell your best friend, but it's good news, it's going to spread around quickly.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_07]: Now, maybe it's a good idea of if you can control yourself and keep it on the download.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_07]: But I mean, if I take it from my business, want it, I mean, we don't have satellite trucks anymore.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_07]: But we'd have, who would be in the driveway, stake in it out?
- 34:31[SPEAKER_07]: But it's Channel 7 reporter.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_07]: But there'd be people out there, yeah.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_07]: But I just don't know if you.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_07]: I think they'll let somebody win at this Saturday.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_07]: But you never hear about it.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_07]: You know, forget about whether the commuted value in the After Tax, let's say you're taking $300 million.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_07]: That's a life-changing amount of money.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_07]: Surely there's a story to be tell.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_07]: You know, I want what would you do with it?
- 35:02[SPEAKER_07]: According to an article I read, obviously.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_07]: You know, banks, you've got the issue of the FDIC limit.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_07]: Some of the big brokerage houses, fidelity, and Merrill and those probably could spread it around among those, even though it's not.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think in sure there's enough put it in T-bills and stuff for the time being, and you know, you don't really have to sit there.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I want to get a 12% return.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_07]: Well, the only way you're going to get that is to buy those tax sales or deliver gets I don't think they sell those anymore.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_07]: So, you know, if you end up getting 0.7, 0.75 or 2.5, what do you care at that point?
- 35:39[SPEAKER_07]: Well, that much money.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_07]: I would try to do some things locally, but I don't, you know.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_27]: I don't know.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_07]: I think I get rid of that do something where that old bathhouse up at the park.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_07]: Goal of a new golf club house, and I buy a lot of just resin animals for this who and that way they'd be less maintenance and they people can go around look at them, take pictures with them, get dinosaurs and everything up there, because I'm not interested in looking at a butterfly, I'm just not, or a madagascar hissing beetle or something like that, no way.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you want to see a panda or a moose or a giraffe or something like that.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_07]: So you have to watch on Sunday morning and we see with Dylan Dryer that outdoorsy show.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_07]: I like that show.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_07]: That's my exposure to the animals.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_07]: Somebody takes this as mayor.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_07]: You wouldn't share it with your brother.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_07]: Well, if you needed some money, if you needed a couple hundred bucks, I'd give it to him, yeah.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_07]: You see, the great thing about me is I don't really have, I don't have any people, I don't really know to any people who need anything, like they're going to try to climb onto me or something like that, but I certainly would give it to some people, there's some people who've been very nice to me, I would give it money to the people who were nice to me when I was sick, and I look like I was dead, and you know, they didn't try to take advantage of the situation.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_07]: You know, the people who kind of looked out for my interest help me when I got out of those are the people.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_07]: I would give money to anyone else, no, I don't think so.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_07]: Um, oh, yeah, I mean, I'd probably throw a couple bucks of welders way and it was type of people and big time, you know, you
- 37:50[SPEAKER_07]: and Sanity to him for a tip or something and who else I don't know other people people I worked with maybe some people at Caprair is a nice thing low ball remember him um who else is there who there's other people too I won't mention any more names just get me in trouble
- 38:17[SPEAKER_07]: First thing I do is take that track right down the dividend drive, though, and it's a, I don't know.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_07]: Mr. Lavar in where somebody say, I want to deposit this, yeah, well, sir, we can't take that much, you know, you don't want it, seven, five, five, I don't know if they can take that much in one deposit.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_07]: I've never gotten a straight answer.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_07]: uh... let's see uh... why is the city telling the way cars at night with no snow i i've never agreed with that whole policy you know they they have this thing and these little signs at each road at the city limit saying no parking two to six you can get told and then eight these the art and lawyers are you well at your prior notice we wouldn't know otherwise why would you think for instance tonight when it's fifty degrees you can't park outside
- 39:18[SPEAKER_07]: You know, it's tough because we got so many houses made into apartment buildings.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_07]: Well, you certainly went from household with no cars, for one with six, and it is a little difficult.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_07]: So yeah, but it is good for the touring business, and if it happens once you don't do it again.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_07]: Let's see, National Grid is sending out warnings for high winds and snow overnight.

- 45:34[SPEAKER_07]: You know, it's getting towards the end of the year and we have time to reflect and reminisce and muse and catch data in the year gone by.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_07]: All the great things that happen, wonderful people that passed in and out of our lives and
- 45:55[SPEAKER_07]: went on, the entertaining city council meetings, the dirty looks from the doctor and cliff towards each other.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_07]: I was just something.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_07]: So many things to look back on in this past year and higher taxes to boot.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_07]: Well, we got a call coming in.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_07]: Good afternoon around the air.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_07]: Hello!
- 46:19[SPEAKER_07]: Now why would you call into a show and then not talk?
- 46:24[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, Samantha from Alex Bay.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_07]: Why don't you talk?
- 46:31[SPEAKER_07]: Can you hear me?
- 46:33[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, turn your radio down.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_07]: All right.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_07]: In case you haven't guessed, this is 2020.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_07]: If you're listening to your radio, you're not going to hear your voice right away.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_07]: Okay?
- 46:46[SPEAKER_07]: We'll try again here.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_07]: Good afternoon, Ron.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_07]: Hello.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_07]: Hello.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, go ahead.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_07]: are you are you talking to me on the phone or you're trying to listen on the radio hi yes you're doing what i'm talking to you on the phone and i've got my car radio on well turn the car radio down don't you have bluetooth in that car okay that's down to two
- 47:27[SPEAKER_07]: All right, well, you shouldn't be trying to listen to the show if you're on the show because there's a delay.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_14]: Should I turn it off?
- 47:37[SPEAKER_07]: If it's going to confuse, you're yes.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_14]: Anyways, you know the Texas Roadhouse in Watertown?
- 47:45[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_07]: What about it?
- 47:49[SPEAKER_07]: It's a nice place.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_07]: Hello?
- 47:55[SPEAKER_14]: Well, I'm not the one in Alex Bay, CK, CJK's Roadhouse, and today's my son's 34th birthday.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_07]: No, that's nice, happy birthday.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_07]: Are you listening to me?
- 48:17[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, so I was thinking to go on to the JK's.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_07]: Where is it?
- 48:25[SPEAKER_14]: It's up on Arsenal way up on Arsenal, right?
- 48:32[SPEAKER_07]: Correct, it's out across from the mall that area.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_07]: Not hard to find.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_07]: Are you hearing me?
- 48:47[SPEAKER_07]: Oh man, this is something.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_07]: All right, well, I might too, maybe next year.
- 48:51[UNKNOWN]: Okay, all right, thank you right now.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_07]: All right, well, I might too.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_07]: Maybe next year.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, all right, thank you, right now.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_07]: Oh my god, how old is she?
- 48:58[SPEAKER_07]: She can't use a phone.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_07]: I don't need to be rude, but Good god.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know whether she was had a radio up or whether the phone hooked in with poop too if there was And that was in a dilemma.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know what's going on.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_07]: Come on man.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_07]: Come on.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_07]: Well anyway
- 49:22[SPEAKER_07]: So what do you think of the $176 warrior dividend?
- 49:31[SPEAKER_07]: Some of you must be getting it.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_07]: Now then as soon as that's sent out, then there'll be people yelling, well why didn't I get mine?
- 49:40[SPEAKER_07]: I'm retired military.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_07]: I'm this, I'm that well.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_07]: 1.45 million active duty military will get at the court unit of the president.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_07]: He said they're already being sent out.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_07]: That's a lot of money, 17.8 million dollars in fused into the Jefferson County economy.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_07]: And of course the first thing, somebody say, well, that's taxable income.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_07]: Anything you get taxable, technically, like that's so what?
- 50:07[SPEAKER_07]: Find some way to mitigate that in your taxes.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_07]: Give me $17, not to $76.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not going to pay any taxes out of it.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, the fight gets taxed, they're going to take that out.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_07]: I don't, it's crazy, but people will, I've noticed in life that people will, no matter what, they'll find something bad about it.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_07]: Well, anyway, um, oh, things for next year.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_07]: No, I don't know.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_07]: There's probably a lot of things for next year.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_07]: First of all, like our good neighbor here says, cuts.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_07]: I don't mean to be rude, but since they're going to give
- 50:57[SPEAKER_07]: Um, I don't know how many positions, because you're going to have to get, I don't know.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_07]: You're probably going to have to get rid of 15, 20, no, not nice to say, but if it's not going to be able to have all that number of people, you say, well, what a, hey, wait a minute.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_07]: What happens in the private sector sometimes you're cut back.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_07]: It was on all the time.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_07]: Or you find efficiencies.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_07]: Look at this building I'm sitting in.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_07]: You still have one radio station.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, I'm 1240.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_07]: Now I think there's five out of here.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_07]: You should be at, took a couple of people to do traffic for one station.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_07]: Now you can do at one person to do it for five or six.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_07]: And that's not that anybody's being worked or abused or any wage stuff or anything.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_07]: It's just the way it is.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_07]: the efficiencies, but there are none.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_07]: It's tough in some things.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, if you're plowing roads, you know, that's got to ease what it is or fixing water means, but you really need all the top brass that we have.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_07]: You know, who aren't even in town when something bad happens?
- 52:12[SPEAKER_07]: No.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_07]: I'm paying.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_07]: I'm going to stroke a check for taxes.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_07]: You know, I don't, I think, I mean, school district spend too much to and I don't know.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_07]: I don't really know what the county does because it's a mystery to me.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_07]: But, um, yeah, need to do some cuts.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_07]: Obviously, say the hydro thing, but I don't think there is a solution to that other than sell the plant probably.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_07]: And another thing, just on a lighter note, just something to make
- 52:45[SPEAKER_07]: bath house, the old bath house up at the park do something with it, you know, yeah, he has to have a little one or two nice projects, and the other when it won't cross that much.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_07]: And that's put the damn sculpture fountain back on lock an hour plaza and not the weak stream, you know, got prostate problems, little spray the hose they got sitting there, you know, it looks terrible.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_07]: And the good thing about that sculpture, which is sitting on marble street is if the fountain wasn't
- 53:13[SPEAKER_07]: then you've still got the sculpture there and the sculpture represented water towns industrial past gears water wheels all that kind of stuff so it has artistic value and has historic value and these people just took it out just took it out and threw it in a field over by the uh... hydroplan on marble street what's it going to take to put it back in there it looks to me like it would fit in a new basin
- 53:42[SPEAKER_07]: And then we can have something that looks like something.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_07]: Not something you gotta, look at the phone and watch phone.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, exactly.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_07]: I could have got a more interesting spray thing over at East Hardware or something.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_07]: So that's something that should be done.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_07]: Wouldn't cost much.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_07]: Just get it out, paint it, do whatever you gotta do to refurbish it.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_07]: Figure out, take it out to a limeric there and have the welder look at over and see what needs to be done to mount it.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_07]: get somebody to put whatever plumbing fittings you need in there or whatever wouldn't be that much and some electrical things.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_07]: You're probably finding some good people to do it for nothing.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_07]: Community-minded people.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_07]: If I knew how to do that I would.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_07]: A plumbing firm or something.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_07]: Some of these firms who make all this money off whatever school project you're something maybe come in and do something for once.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_07]: But put the damn fountain back up.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_07]: Instead of sitting there, they're like a bump on a log.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I didn't, what fountain, I didn't see it on my way out of town to me.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_07]: No.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_07]: No.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_07]: And yeah, let's get some council members with some stones.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_07]: We'll say that.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_07]: No, it's going up.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_07]: It's not going to run it by hippo or shrippo or anything else.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_07]: We're putting it back up.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_07]: OK. Cupiche?
- 55:05[SPEAKER_07]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_07]: council coming in and two relatively new members that have only been there two years who will be the mayor of all of that decided.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_07]: Dr. Campbell will be the mayor of pro-tam because he has the same amount of time as shown but he got more votes when he was elected.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_13]: That's what I wondered if it went to that person because it seems like Lisa's been the mayor of pro-tam for probably six years.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_07]: Exactly.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_07]: So, okay, thank you.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_07]: All right, thanks a lot.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_07]: Bye now.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_10]: Talk Authority, WATM-1240.

- 58:26[SPEAKER_07]: because it's going to be not bad.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, it's beautiful out there now.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_07]: It's sunny.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_07]: It's warm.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_07]: It's in the 40s, isn't it?
- 58:33[SPEAKER_07]: I think it's in the 40s.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_07]: So we'll get the forecast up at 2.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_07]: Says fair in 51 at the airport.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if it is right here.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_07]: But we've got winter weather advisories.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_07]: High wind warnings coming in overnight.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_07]: We could have winds.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know how much I'm not going to guess to me, but they're going to be gusty.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_07]: up to of gust as high as 48 miles an hour it says could do some damage or probably won't do a lot could do some and could have some power out of jizz or anything like that temperatures will be above freezing overnight so you want to worry about ice and snow overnight the high will be in the morning and then it'll cool off and be 18 by the time the day is done on Friday so it's going to be a top-ceterb day tomorrow no doubt about it
- 59:24[SPEAKER_07]: There's no Glenn.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_07]: No Glenn today.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_07]: I hear what happened to him.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_07]: I thought it saw him earlier.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_07]: Oh my god.

- 59:38[SPEAKER_07]: All right, well, anyway, I'm here and I'll be here tomorrow.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_07]: I was at sound fair enough and the weather just keep be aware.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_07]: That's all I can say.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_07]: It's going to be a little bluster, but not bad for the rest of today and so enjoy it.
