Transcript
- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity, no topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Fierazzo.
- 0:30We're key keeps up with so much that I can't keep up with, so I really appreciate his
- 0:36just research and like I always kind of joke around.
- 0:40He reads The New York Times, so we don't have to, I'm kind of kidding, but half serious.
- 0:45But we're going to attempt to talk about the board of peace, Iran, Turkey, Syria, and maybe Minnesota,
- 0:52and we'll see. We'll see what we get to today.
- 0:55John Haller, as always, there's really not much to talk about.
- 0:58I don't know how we're going to fill up the time.
- 1:00Good to see you, brother.
- 1:01We'll be struggling to get through this one.
- 1:04That's always, it's just, it's fun, chaotic, frustrating, hopefully equipping some people just
- 1:12with how to look at these things that are going on in the world. The chaos is by design.
- 1:18Where would you like to start, sir?
- 1:20Well, I think the one thing that's sort of at the top, the two areas at the top of everybody's
- 1:26mind are, of course, the Middle East and then what's going on here in the United States with
- 1:33I would only describe as a full-blown insurrection underway.
- 1:37The media will never trim it that way, but yeah, you know, let's start with what's going on in
- 1:43Iran because at least the media is covering Minnesota, not from a fair and balanced perspective,
- 1:49but at least they're talking about it with the anti-Trump protests and the chaos,
- 1:54the paid protesters and all that. But let's talk about Iran because just like we mentioned
- 2:00before we got on the air like Nigeria and the slaughter of Christians there.
- 2:05Where's the media? Where's Black Lives Matter? Where are all these?
- 2:09So Iran, very similar thing happening. The people are being, I mean, what are the numbers now
- 2:15between 80 and 100,000 have been killed? Go ahead.
- 2:20Yeah, it depends on which source you look at and I do read the New York Times and did the
- 2:25other day they actually did. It's actually in the New York Times today, front page and then two
- 2:30inside pages spread about what's going on and what's happened and I read it. And this is a
- 2:37little bit unusual because you can check, I mean, I read air press, Turkish press and places in the
- 2:45UK like the Times of London, Guardian, Daily Mail and everything. And it's interesting in Europe
- 2:51and the Middle East, you're not really finding much in the press about what's going on in Iran.
- 3:00And it's been a virtual bloodbath. So it started the end of December. It's been going on now for
- 3:08pretty intensely since about the 8th or 9th of January. And it's coming out now that on the 8th or
- 3:16on those days and 8th and 9th of January, which was like three weeks ago as we record this,
- 3:23they may have killed 30, 20 to 40,000 people in two days. And when you look at
- 3:32protests and things around the world, the level of death that's been caused there,
- 3:39far exceeds any other protests in government reaction anywhere in the world for the last 50 years.
- 3:50It's pretty, I mean, it's more than Tiananmen Square in China and elsewhere.
- 3:56I mean, well, you're not old enough to remember, but back in the 50s, there was the
- 4:03protest against the communist government in Eastern Europe. And that resulted in about 3,000 deaths.
- 4:09So multiply that by 10, 15, 20 or more of what happened in just a couple days in Iran.
- 4:20It's been brutal. And unfortunately, I think President Trump may have got out,
- 4:28what do they say in winter around here, out over his skis a little bit,
- 4:34in that he said, well, we support you. You go help us coming, help us on the way.
- 4:40But here we said a month later and nothing has really been done in terms of a direct response.
- 4:48Why do you think that is, John?
- 4:50Yeah, well, I will say this, it is an incredibly complicated
- 4:56gordian knot, can of worms, whatever metaphor you want to use. I think that Trump to his credit,
- 5:04and you could just go launch some bombs in there. So what is that going to solve?
- 5:11Because there's an outflow from it. So look at some of the scenarios that they think is that,
- 5:17okay, we will take out the mollas, the Iranian religious regime.
- 5:24And if that happens, what's it look like on the other side? What's day one post the Iranian
- 5:31religious regime look like? One scenario would be that the Iranian revolutionary guard might be
- 5:38able to take over. That may be even worse because they are the brutal. I mean, you've seen what
- 5:48happened with the response to the protesters in the streets. So millions of Iranians went
- 5:54out to the streets, but now maybe a hundred, let's just say a hundred thousand of them are dead.
- 5:59So there's a lot of death. And it's been brutal. And you look at the pictures that are now
- 6:06coming on to social media. And they shut down the internet completely. So they've put what
- 6:12the Iranian regime wanted to do was put everybody into a digital gulag, which I think is
- 6:18very interesting. And it's not too dissimilar to what they want to do to people
- 6:24worldwide, during that Charlie vector real one, nine or thing we had five, four, five, six years ago.
- 6:31So they're they're shut everything down, but now pictures are coming out and there's stacks of
- 6:36body bags everywhere. The Iranian regime and some of the people that you see in these pictures,
- 6:42they're it's brutal to look at. You'll never forget it if you see it. But the bodies have like
- 6:48cardiac patches or IVs in them. Well, no, wait a minute. So they did they come to the hospital,
- 6:57dead with IVs and cardiac patches in. No, they've been going into the hospital
- 7:02and killing these people. They've been executing people in prison.
- 7:07There's by some estimates. So let's just say there's 80,000 dead,
- 7:1320,000 imprisoned at least in over 300,000 injured.
- 7:20That's out of a country of 90 million people now. Understand that they're facing a
- 7:26a relatively formidable force that has weapons. They do not. The protesters do not have weapons,
- 7:34but the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and then one of their militias, the besiege, have weapons.
- 7:42And those those number between the IRGC and the besiege close to a million people.
- 7:50So this is this is not like it's a small police force coming into some place. This is this is
- 7:57an army that they're facing. So the question is what happened. So the IRGC could take over,
- 8:04but these guys are hardliners. They're incredibly corrupt. They control a lot of money. I think I've
- 8:10said this many times. If you want to understand how Iran operates, watch the Godfather because it's a
- 8:18it's a crime syndicate. And they parcel off parts of their economy and businesses and stuff. So
- 8:25the the IRGC has theirs, the the mullahs, the a comeini has his and others have other things that
- 8:34they control. Ross and Johnny who was a a president of a rean at one time. He was a Islamic mom
- 8:41mullah. He controlled by time when time he died. He controlled a fortune of about 25 billion dollars.
- 8:49I mean, put that. I mean, that makes him one of the richest people in the world.
- 8:54Comeini controls at least five, six, seven, ten years ago when they were analyzing it,
- 9:00a fortune of 95 to 100 billion dollars in a similar amount controlled by the Iranian Revolutionary
- 9:06Guard. So the reigning Revolutionary Guard could step in. By the way, comeini has a son who really
- 9:14runs things. Comeini is nine, 86 years old. He was injured in a terror attack or bombing or
- 9:22assassination attempt. So he doesn't have use of this right hand, I believe. If you ever watch
- 9:27the videos of him. So his son could take over. That would nothing would change. And his son is
- 9:33probably pretty much running everything. His son controls the social media accounts. I follow
- 9:40Comeini on X and watches media site. And they post things all the time. So one, Iranian Revolutionary
- 9:48Guard court to the son of the Shah, Palavi could come back and assume a power in a constitutional
- 9:58monarchy. But the question is, what's the period of time between the fall of the IRGC and the
- 10:06Mullahs and him taking power? That's an unknown. The other thing that could happen, there's two more
- 10:15scenarios. One is, and this has kind of come from some Turkish accounts that have suggested that
- 10:23Turkey might be able with the backing or blessing of the United States. Apparently this has been
- 10:31discussed. Now I'm, I'm just throwing it out there. I'm not saying that I've verified this
- 10:36completely. That Turkey, which has moved in, I want to talk about that in a minute, moved into
- 10:42Syria, taken over Syria, now going after the Kurds. And now we have the Iraqi government which
- 10:48sits between Syria and Iran is having terrible trouble. They're taking out the Kurds. It's
- 10:55terrible what they're doing. And the Kurds help us fight ISIS. We've pretty much the United
- 11:00States is pretty much abandoned them. And now the question is, what's going to happen in Iraq?
- 11:06They're very politically unstable. So there's some question as to a suggestion has been made
- 11:14that the Turks could move into Iraq and then into Iran. And that's very interesting when we talk
- 11:21about Bible prophecy because that brings to mind the prophecy of Daniel 8. So immediately you're
- 11:28going to get objections. Daniel 8 happened a long time ago. That was Alexander the Great. It all
- 11:33happened. That's fulfilled prophecy. Why are you even worried about that? But Hebrew prophecy has
- 11:40a pattern aspect to it as well. And sometimes these prophecies are fulfilled in sort of like a
- 11:48sequence. They're recapitulated. They happen again. And so when you look at you on it and there's
- 11:54the Ram go to comes from the from the west against I read in Persia, is that on the table? And I think
- 12:03probably more than any time in my life, I've talked about this and people I see you're crazy. That
- 12:08could never happen. And right now we're in a situation where it can happen because right now Turkey
- 12:14is in in a credible as a set. And I can talk about that in a moment. So that's one. So you have IRGC,
- 12:23you have a new mola taking over, you have Turkey coming in and not necessarily imposing everything
- 12:31on them, but doing like the Ottomans did during the Ottoman Empire from 1517 through 1917 for 400
- 12:40years. Then the other one would be that Iran will descend into a civil war. And we will now have
- 12:48another Syria on our hands. Syria when the Syrian civil war started in 2011 was a country of 23
- 12:56million people. Half of the country after the start of that war was killed or displaced. At least
- 13:05a million dead millions of refugees into Europe, three million Syrian refugees in Turkey, a couple
- 13:12million in Jordan and a couple and a million or so in Lebanon, which has really undermined their
- 13:20economies. Now some of them are coming back, but the fact of that is Iran is not 23 million people.
- 13:29It's 90 million people. So you have a country four times the size of Syria going into a civil war.
- 13:37And so that's probably one of the reasons why you see Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Turkey and other countries
- 13:46say no, no, no, Trump don't go in. Don't don't attack. I mean, don't cause a civil war
- 13:53because we couldn't handle the refugees. So it's an incredibly vulnerable
- 13:57Gordy and not that we have. Now I will say this. I'm looking at a sent-kind map
- 14:03about what's happened. The United States has moved a tremendous amount of assets into the region.
- 14:10Probably since we went into Afghanistan and Iraq and those wars, there's incredible amounts
- 14:16of naval and air assets poised to strike in Iran. Then the question becomes
- 14:26what happens if the United States strike a Iran? How effective are they going to be? Are you going
- 14:31to end up with one of these four scenarios? The civil war would be a disaster. You're talking
- 14:38I would just guess based on the experience in Syria, you're looking at four or five million people
- 14:44that there's a lot of questions that I ran. I don't think we understand the scope of this.
- 14:50The other concern is that if Trump and Netanyahu decide that I ran that Israel and the United
- 14:57States should attack, what is going to be the response of Iran? Understand that the Iranian regime
- 15:08and a lot of the IRGC are 12 or Shia and the government too. They're 12 or Shia believers. In other
- 15:16words, they believe unlike Christian eschatology where we think this is what's going to happen and
- 15:23we watch the signs for it to develop. They believe and they have an eschatology but they believe we can
- 15:31act on our eschatology and bring about this final conflagration like an Armageddon on the world
- 15:39and bring back the Madi and that belief also carries some weight within in the Turkey
- 15:49Sunni Islam part. So it's very complicated. Now I want to move to Syria if I could for just a moment
- 15:56Well John before we do that we've got to take a very brief pause. Touch on Syria maybe I talk about
- 16:01Damascus a little bit when we come back and we've got to go from the Middle East to maybe Minnesota
- 16:06by the time we're done with the podcast today but we'll be right back on World View Matters.
- 16:11Register now for the World View Matters Conference May 1st and 2nd in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

- 16:43That's worldviewmattersconference.com
- 16:47So friends I want to mention you can also connect with John on Facebook just look up John Haller
- 16:52and you can get a lot of his posts there and keep up with some of the round tables that he does
- 16:58with some great great guests. So John Damascus is important biblically and so just touch on
- 17:06that briefly and we'll try to get to Minnesota wherever you want to go now. Yeah let's let's do
- 17:11Damascus. So in fact as we record this this is the one year anniversary of Alshara assuming the
- 17:19presidency of Turkey. He was a jihadi he was imprisoned by the Americans and I during the
- 17:26Iraq war he got out he became part of the whole al-Qaeda ISIS thing and then under the
- 17:33auspices of Turkey he was able to take over Syria in about 10 day eight days from his base
- 17:43up around Aleppo. This was the stunning operation. In fact Putin said in his year in conference
- 17:50news conference in 2024 after this happened that they took over Damascus which had 30 to 40,000
- 17:58Syrian troops guarding it with 800 men. So this is a formidable thing. So he went into the mosque
- 18:06there in Damascus and he assumed the power. So I'll go back to about on the one year anniversary of
- 18:13the fall of the Damascus regime on December 8th 2024. On December 8th 2025 a commentator in Israel
- 18:23I-24 news named Ruth Wasserman Landy very intelligent particular lady she'd been served in
- 18:29diplomatic corps in Israel was a member of the Knesset for a time and she said we need to realize
- 18:36that there was no longer a Syria it is a façade it is controlled by Turkey and I would agree with
- 18:42her 100%. David Wormser and the analyst who's they're both at the Mizgov institute and they
- 18:49also served with some other things. David Wormser a few weeks ago in this I think it was in later
- 18:55part a lot of part of December then an interview on JNS with Dan Diker and who's with the Jerusalem
- 19:02Center for Foreign Affairs and he said listen but happened on December 8th 2024 was incredibly
- 19:09significant this was the first time that Sunni Islam had been in control of the Damascus for a
- 19:20thousand years. So this is this is incredibly significant stuff that happened back in the latter
- 19:31part of 2024 we're seeing it play out now and Sunni Islam views the Damascus as sort of their
- 19:39geopolitical and religious epicenter and if you remember Erdogan's son and others they've done
- 19:45these protests in a bridge in Damascus or in Istanbul saying yesterday will take over Hagia Sophia
- 19:52they turned it into a mosque five years ago the largest church ever built in the history of Christianity
- 19:59then today you might the Damascus in tomorrow I'll access so there's they're they're making
- 20:05designs on Jerusalem and so if we think that Isaiah 17 is a future prophecy it would seem that
- 20:12the Damascus will become very important and now you see Damascus being revived as the center of
- 20:18Sunni Islam right in front of us. Wow there's a there's just there's there is so much going on
- 20:29John and the average person cannot keep up with everything and it's and in no nor were we meant to
- 20:35but it's very interesting because so much of this is prophetic what we're seeing
- 20:41boy we're already down we're we're moving really really fast here do you want to wrap up the
- 20:45Middle East before we go to the other M Minnesota. Well I think it's going to be very volatile
- 20:52Turkey is innocent Erdogan may be running for office this year there's also some medications
- 20:58these may not be in the best of health but you know via this is made Turkey is an incredible
- 21:06descent in terms of weapons technology drones drone fighter jets full-size fighter jets
- 21:15unmanned fighter jets that are doing things that maybe no other military in the world is doing
- 21:20at least publicly right now and it appears that they're trying to find oil so there's going to be
- 21:25a conflict between Somalia and Somali land they're moving also into Libya and into Sudan to grab
- 21:34oil assets there and that's kind of it's interesting about 10 years ago there was an Islamic
- 21:41Turkish holy guy everybody thought he was in that but he said if you take over Hagia Sophia the
- 21:48largest church in Christianity if you restore Hagia Sophia to Islam the oil will begin to flow and
- 21:55so people in Turkey whether it's true or not people in Turkey believe that it's true and I'm telling
- 22:01you I'm watching these things move around the Middle East and it's very complicated yeah and it's
- 22:08also very much related to Bible prophecies that we see in Ezekiel Jeremiah Isaiah and elsewhere yeah
- 22:17so yeah speaking of Somalia let's talk about Minnesota
- 22:22John first of all before we go there let's state the obvious you've got that picture usually
- 22:28of you're in front of Jerusalem with your background there but that is actually Ohio which is
- 22:34apparently rare I was telling John before the podcast we're in Green Bay Wisconsin we don't have
- 22:39any snow I mean we we haven't gotten snow for like two weeks and look at Ohio and I don't understand
- 22:46how it all works but so I'm thankful for that picture because it reminds us it is winter but John
- 22:52go ahead let's go to Minnesota yeah we we got 21 inches recently and it's been sub-zero and
- 22:57wind chills below zero so we're not expecting temperatures above freezing until the middle
- 23:02of February so this is not this is unusual certainly it's it's cutting into my golf time I will say
- 23:10that and this this is another reason they went from global warming to climate change
- 23:17yeah that's right I would be all for climate change as I've always said David it's always it's
- 23:22been two it's it's never been too hot to play golf but it's been too cold so yeah so John
- 23:29really really let's talk about Minnesota where it is cold something people don't understand is
- 23:35the Trump administration has not deported as many illegals as the other presidents even Obama
- 23:43and Biden and people don't understand that so to see these protests is very interesting go ahead
- 23:49so the Trump administration has probably deported 10% 5 to 10% of what prior administrations Clinton
- 23:58Bush Obama and Biden did so for example Biden I'm sorry Obama did 12 million Biden did 10
- 24:09million Clinton did 20 million Trump's done a little over 1 million and so this is this is a
- 24:16plan core-ordinated insurrection and there are a lot of people James O'Keefe and others are doing
- 24:24great work out there showing how these are planned events to interfere with ice officers doing
- 24:31their job and in some cases by the way they're going out to get people who've been convicted of
- 24:36abusing children and so these knuckleheads on the left are going out there to prevent criminals
- 24:46from being arrested and deported and out of our country this is a sickness and insanity
- 24:55a mental illness I don't know what you want to call it it's unbelievable but they're also doing
- 25:00a number of things so you're going to see stories a lot for example you saw it with a I call
- 25:07a Don limiter Don limon whatever he wants to call himself he was CNN he was out there when they storm
- 25:13the church they went down to a federal magistrate so would you sign off on an arrest warrant and the
- 25:18magistrate judge refused to sign off on it and you're seeing this happen with judges all over the
- 25:25place particularly in DC Minnesota and elsewhere where the Trump administration goes there I believe
- 25:32there have been in Minnesota 500 habeas corpus petitions habeas corpus means produce the body
- 25:41500 filed in Minnesota and they're trying to hold and a lot of times they will give these
- 25:47statistics oh well they haven't complied with any of them but they do the data like within minutes
- 25:53of the order being given and it's not possible for the government to process it and get the person
- 25:58back and they had a big hearing in Minnesota this Minneapolis today they canceled it and these left
- 26:06wing woke judges are participating in it and even now when you go to people you present evidence
- 26:12to a grand jury this is happening in DC and elsewhere these left wing funded NGOs are training
- 26:21people how to vote against indictments and so you're seeing and it used to be when I was in law
- 26:28school the statement was you could indict a hand hand sandwich it was that easy now we have
- 26:36indictment indictment indictment presented to grand juries and the grand juries are refusing
- 26:42they're 23 persons so you got to get a 12 11 vote they're not getting indictments it's turning
- 26:48everything it's completely corrupting and weaponizing and destroying our legal system here
- 26:56in the United States and this is an insurrection so yep come couldn't bring in the insurrection
- 27:02act I think but this is a very very uh and this is all to lead up to the midterms coming up in the
- 27:10fall yep that's part of the reason and we know the left is showing their true colors it's not going
- 27:15to be limited just to Minnesota uh mr john howler thank you so much for all you do we
- 27:20appreciate it brother we'll talk to you soon thank you David god bless you friends and as always
- 27:25keep speaking the truth about things that matter
