- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Okay, it's time now for people behaving badly.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: You're just talking about what?
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: I've got two.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: What?
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Oh, you were just talking about Target.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: And even you it was the in reference to all the clearance things and things like that.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: But this exact same thing used to happen at JCPenney's.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: This couple used their baby to steal Pokemon cards from Target, which is a more common occurrence than I think you realize.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: Y'all I'm sure it is.
- 0:25SPEAKER_02: I mean, because when I read it, I'm like, who would do this?
- 0:27SPEAKER_02: And then I'm like, oh well, there are people.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you stuff it in underneath.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: Oh, and and I think if I was security, because we had some pretty awesome security guards when I worked at JCPenney's, I think I would feel weird, be like, can I look through your carriage, your stroller?
- 0:43SPEAKER_02: Well, I think you have to ask.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Can you lift up the baby, please?
- 0:45SPEAKER_02: Couple uses baby to steal Pokemon cards.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: Uh so uh it turns out in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a couple recently used their baby and their baby's carrier, just as you were saying, to steal 94 Pokemon cards, which are not cheap, from Target.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: And it turns out that uh this couple arrested uh in the parking lot and booked for organized retail organized retail crime and larceny.
- 1:08SPEAKER_02: You know what I would do?
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: I would say, it was the baby.
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: Book him.
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: Interestingly enough, cop him.
- 1:14SPEAKER_02: Don't you want to know what happened to the baby?
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: I mean, like your parents just got arrested.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: I I assumed foster care, to be honest.
- 1:20SPEAKER_02: That's kind of what it is.
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: Baby was released to a friend uh after their arrest.
- 1:25SPEAKER_02: The uh card's worth$470.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: Which really isn't that much in the grand scheme of stealing.
- 1:30SPEAKER_02: No, but I think that crosses that line into the uh, you know, more of instead of being a lightweight crime, like you know, oops, I forgot to check out my 12 pack of water to more like, ah, that's that's a pretty big one.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Oh, sure.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: I'm I mean, I guess because I'm I'm guessing they're probably re repeat offenders because you don't just I think you start with like two packs of cards and then it's four packs of cards.
- 1:52SPEAKER_02: I love your analyzing this.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: And then it's$470 worth.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Also It's a slippery slope.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: I don't want your baby.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: I'm well, your baby probably shouldn't be with you if you have a life of crime.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: But all of a sudden I'm your friend and hey, gotta take the baby.
- 2:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: Or I'm going to jail.
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm in lockup.
- 2:09SPEAKER_02: Can you come get uh junior?
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: That's not the dog.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: Right, but that's the one phone call you get is you have to call your friend to come get your baby.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: But you know what?
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Those friends know.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: They know they're shady friends.
- 2:18SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 2:18SPEAKER_02: You know, I mean, to their face they're supportive, but then to their behind their back, they're like, uh, this couple had kids, really?
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: This is uh this is what are we thinking?
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Besides retesting for our driver's license, parental tests.
- 2:30SPEAKER_02: Parental tests is also a good one.
- 2:31SPEAKER_02: See, it's funny.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: I would have a different feeling if they were like, it was a can of baby formula.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: Because then I know maybe there's I'm not saying that I I think it should be right that you freely allow people to steal baby formulas.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: There are other options.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: But I can look the other way.
- 2:47SPEAKER_02: I I would be less likely, I would look, it would be if I was in the security of whatever store, I'd probably be like, are what is happening?
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: I mean, if it's like one can't, now it's a whole case of it.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: I know you're putting it on the black market of baby formula, but you know what I mean?
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Yes, it's the same thing as, and we all have experienced this in the workplace.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Somebody is either slipping or missing days, and at first you go, What's going on here?
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Is everything okay?
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: And then once you miss six times, you're like, oh.
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: All right, you're taking advantage.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: Yes, exactly.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: You're just sleeping in, taking the days off.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: The other one, and this oddly kind of ties in with like Pokemon and anime and that whole universe and all that, a Houston man behaving badly, uh, also in trouble for threatening the governor's office over uh a law the man alleged said prevented him from watching anime.
- 3:37SPEAKER_02: Why?
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: Allegedly he left threats.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Is it something with it porn?
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: Because that anime porn, I swear it was like a little out there.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: Uh he left threatening uh messages uh after a new uh decency law has made it harder for him to watch anime streaming on uh the service Crunchyroll.
- 3:59SPEAKER_02: I don't know what that is.
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: Be careful if you decide to Google Crunchyroll.
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: This is what the guy said.
- 4:04SPEAKER_02: It's affecting everybody, even over the ages of 18.
- 4:07SPEAKER_02: I had a mental breakdown.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: Hold on a second.
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: He just may have implied that it is something that you were thinking about on the naughty side.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: You said decency.
- 4:14SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: So he goes, even the over the ages of 18.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: At the end of the day, I allegedly left the voicemail.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: I don't even remember what I said during the thing.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: I don't even feel like that was the exact words that I said.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: I'd have to listen to the movie.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: So I'll also I I've never been into anime whatsoever, but I always think it's a little unusual that something so fake is the thing that gets your rocks off.
- 4:40SPEAKER_02: I don't understand that either.
