- 0:21Hi. Monster Kate up here.
- 0:27Oh my gosh. Small little friend.
- 0:29OK, that's too much. Oh my gosh.
- 0:31OK, so starting off, the reason if anyone is watching and saw
- 0:34Bethany down way below is because Bobby had to come in and
- 0:37fix her microphone and they put the screen up.
- 0:39She's like, should we do it like this?
- 0:40I'm like, yes, yes, we should. How are you?
- 0:45I'm doing pretty good. How are you?
- 0:47I'm good. I saw that you had flowers.
- 0:49Yes, I feel like this is like it's been way longer than a week
- 0:53since we've talked. I know we've.
- 0:55Texted a little bit but I think we normally text more throughout
- 0:57the week so that's probably why it felt that way.
- 1:00But I'm like, I feel like we haven't talked in forever.
- 1:03I know I'm I'm so grateful for this me.
- 1:05Too. And then sometimes I'm like,
- 1:07'cause there's like things I want to update you on.
- 1:09And then sometimes I feel like I hate being that friend that like
- 1:11always has something going on that's like.
- 1:14Slightly. Negative.
- 1:15It's just like, I just feel, you know, there's like some people
- 1:19that you are like it's always something with them.
- 1:21But like, it's usually like they're like the self loathing
- 1:23like, oh, you know, I try not to obviously be that, but I'm just
- 1:27like, this is just what like life is like throwing at us
- 1:30right now. It's nothing crazy, but I've
- 1:31been having like this right like this pain in my right side of my
- 1:35abdomen, like kind of under my ribs.
- 1:37And at first I thought it was like muscular, but more and more
- 1:40I'm like, is it gallbladder? I don't know, because I've been
- 1:43getting like just more like weird crampy stuff and I'm
- 1:47noticing it more at night and like I'm waking up with like
- 1:50sweats, like I am sweating in my sleep, just like weird stuff.
- 1:54And I'm like something doesn't feel right.
- 1:56So I've been like like today this morning.
- 1:58That's why I didn't know if you're gonna be able to record
- 2:00earlier. I went in for an ultrasound.
- 2:03I haven't gotten like any results or anything yet, but I
- 2:06had like blood tests done on Sunday.
- 2:08Ended up going to the urgent care 'cause it really was
- 2:10bothering me. So I'm just like, I if it's
- 2:13anything like if anything comes back and it's like, I hope it's
- 2:16just gallbladder and that something is easy that you get
- 2:19it out and then you're fine. But I'm just like could could do
- 2:23without this. How is your your like mindset
- 2:25with stuff like this? Do you jump to the worst case
- 2:27scenario or are you just like? Used to, I didn't used to.
- 2:31I do a little bit more now just from like not even just the
- 2:33worst case scenarios, but it is just more triggering going in
- 2:36for like scan type stuff, health type stuff, you know, even just
- 2:40the stuff of bringing birdie in and everything's like, oh, it'll
- 2:43probably you know, this type of stuff.
- 2:45It's that when people are constantly telling me like it's
- 2:47probably nothing. That type of stuff's really like
- 2:50anxiety inducing for me because it's like that's what we always
- 2:53have been told. And then there's negative stuff
- 2:55that comes from it. So that kind of stuff.
- 2:58But even actually like going in for like the appointments and
- 3:01stuff like that, I keep my like, I'm like, OK, like it's get in
- 3:06there. I'd rather the information like.
- 3:08Rather than. Sitting and like not knowing and
- 3:10then things are just like happening in my body that I have
- 3:12no like control over. But yeah, so that's just been
- 3:17irritating 'cause I'm like, I don't know, I'm hoping it's just
- 3:20something where it is more muscular and my brain's making
- 3:22me think that it's a like there's more going on and it's
- 3:25just a weird spot. But of course, when you start
- 3:29looking at like doctor Google and stuff, you're like, like I
- 3:32need to, it's not even. And that also doesn't make me go
- 3:35too crazy, but some of the symptoms I'm like that is kind
- 3:39of pushing more towards gallbladder than just like
- 3:41muscular. Yeah.
- 3:43And I did talk to my parents because I didn't think we had
- 3:45any gallbladder stuff in our family.
- 3:47I guess to my aunts had to get their gallbladders out.
- 3:50So I think older than me, but I don't know exactly.
- 3:57So we'll see when. You get results.
- 4:02They said like it could take about a week.
- 4:04So I'm like, well, I guess they're not totally concerned if
- 4:07they're like, 'cause you know, like you see things on like TV
- 4:09and stuff with people like like I need to go in immediately in
- 4:12your for your appendix or your gallbladder and you're getting
- 4:15it out like right away. So that's kind of where I'm
- 4:18like, OK, like if everyone's feeling like I can wait a week,
- 4:22then it sounds. Yeah, like Grey's Anatomy taught
- 4:24me, 'cause it's so realistic, obviously.
- 4:27Or if they see something, they call in the people or they're
- 4:30like we're. Going to emergency surgery right
- 4:32away. Let.
- 4:32Me. Go talk to my supervisor real
- 4:34quick. Yes, yeah, totally.
- 4:37So I think it's one of those things and then just it like
- 4:41reminds me over and over again how much you, like, have to
- 4:43advocate for yourself because even though everyone that I've
- 4:45been, like, talking to has been really nice, no one's talking to
- 4:49each other. Like every new person I talk to,
- 4:52it's reiterating, you know, calling this person, calling
- 4:56that person. I'm like, no one's calling me
- 4:57back. I'm like, you know, so I just
- 5:00felt kind of like the first appointment I went into, I was
- 5:02like, OK, I'm gonna be proactive.
- 5:04And this was last Wednesday. So after we spoke, I had an
- 5:07appointment. Oh, no, we spoke on Tuesday or
- 5:10something. Yeah.
- 5:11Yeah. So it was the day after you and
- 5:13I spoke. OK.
- 5:15What a break. I called or I like reached out
- 5:19to like my primary care person and was like, you know, here's
- 5:23what I'm kind of experiencing. And I went and I couldn't see my
- 5:25actual doctor just 'cause they're booked out so far, but I
- 5:28was able to see someone and I felt so dismissed.
- 5:31Like like she had no time for me.
- 5:34And I'm just like, so I was like showing her and I'm like, and
- 5:36I'm not in like extreme pain, but I was like, I am very in
- 5:39tune with my body. Like I really know something
- 5:41feels off. And I just felt so like, get get
- 5:44her out of here type of thing. Like she's like, everything
- 5:46feels great. You look great.
- 5:47And like I'm like, what? And I said, OK, well, like I, I
- 5:53feel like I need more than just you touching it and physically
- 5:56looking at me because yes, physically I look totally fine.
- 5:59And so I was like, what would you do for a gallbladder?
- 6:01Would you do like ACT, which I don't know.
- 6:05And she kind of like laughed at me when I said ACT.
- 6:07She's like, no, I would not order ACT for that.
- 6:10And I'm like. Oh, no, I was like, OK, well,
- 6:12what would you order then? Because I'm not a doctor.
- 6:16I, this is not my field. Like, that's why I am here.
- 6:20And she kind of like took a step back when she realized that I
- 6:24was not gonna just like let her like, and I don't know, that may
- 6:27not have not have been her intention, but still it's like,
- 6:30I'm in here. This is this is your job.
- 6:33Like I would never talk to any of my clients that way of like,
- 6:36no, I wouldn't do that with my dog.
- 6:38I would be like, I understand where you're coming from, but
- 6:40like, here's probably approach I would take.
- 6:42Hello. So she's like, it would probably
- 6:45be more of like an ultrasound. I'm like, OK, well, then I would
- 6:47like you to order me an ultrasound because something
- 6:49feels off and I want to get it backed.
- 6:52She's like, she's like, I think that's reasonable.
- 6:54I'm like Yup. Oh my God, I'm so annoyed with
- 6:58her. I know and so my normal doctor
- 7:01which I honestly haven't seen in probably over 2 years, but I'm
- 7:04seeing her in June 30th. Like I know it's not her job but
- 7:07like I do really like her. I'm going to say something like
- 7:10I don't know if you guys have ever gotten feedback from this
- 7:12person but like I could tell the person that was taking like my
- 7:15vitals and stuff also felt a certain way about this person
- 7:19because she like I didn't know that was going to be the person
- 7:22seeing me. She like popped her head and
- 7:23she's like, can we get going to the lady, like taking my
- 7:26information and the I know. And the lady looked at her like,
- 7:30Yep, like I'm just putting in all of her supplements, like
- 7:33doing my job. And she was like the first lady
- 7:35I saw was being like super sweet, very nice, a little slow
- 7:37to type, but it's like she was listening to everything I was
- 7:40saying. So I was just like that kind of
- 7:43like started it off and just made me feel a certain way.
- 7:47And then when I decided to go to the urgent care on Sunday, the
- 7:49only reason I decided to go was because that night before is the
- 7:53first night I woke up with like, severe night sweats.
- 7:57Like I was drenched. You know, you got like a little
- 7:59hot at night. I was head to toe, like wet.
- 8:04Yes. It was very weird.
- 8:06And I had never experienced anything like that before.
- 8:08And like, is this like, am I going to like early
- 8:10perimenopause? Like, what is going on?
- 8:13And so it did make me feel a little bit panicky in the middle
- 8:15of the night. So Casey got me like an ice pack
- 8:17and stuff. And he's like, well, if you
- 8:19sleep through the night, OK. And like, we don't need it for
- 8:21some reason. Go in.
- 8:22Like, maybe we go to the urgent care tomorrow, which was Sunday.
- 8:25I called them ahead of time just saying like, hey, if I come in
- 8:29and they think I need an ultrasound, is that something
- 8:32that you guys can do here? And they're like, yes, if the
- 8:35doctor thinks that it's something that needs to be done,
- 8:38great. Go get called back.
- 8:40It's going pretty, you know, quick and short.
- 8:43The lady says to me, you know, we don't do ultrasounds on the
- 8:46weekend. I go no, I don't know that I
- 8:48don't work here. Why would you know that?
- 8:51Why would I know that? Like I don't frequent the urgent
- 8:54care, thank goodness, but I'm like, Nope, I've literally never
- 8:57had an ultrasound in my life. So Oh my God, I know.
- 9:02So I'm just like, and I don't want to be, I don't want to be
- 9:05ragging on healthcare and I don't want to be ragging like
- 9:07the people typically. Like even the person that did my
- 9:10ultrasound today, she was so sweet.
- 9:11Like most people I've talked to have been really great, but I'm
- 9:14just like, you're damned if you do, You're damned if you don't.
- 9:17Like everyone says like if you notice something go in, but then
- 9:21you go in as a healthy person and you're kind of like, why
- 9:25aren't you sicker is how I kind of felt like.
- 9:28So I should wait until it's emergent to go in.
- 9:30Like that's just how it felt to me.
- 9:32It's like everyone's kind of like why?
- 9:34Like why is she wasting her time?
- 9:36But I'm like, I'm not a cry wolf type of person.
- 9:39Like I very much don't want to go in.
- 9:43Like if I didn't honestly have especially as a woman go in like
- 9:47ever, I really wouldn't want to and I really wouldn't.
- 9:50But it's just something you got to do that you don't want to do.
- 9:54So I know. So I'll keep you posted.
- 9:57So it's more of that that's like irritating me.
- 9:59It's like feeling like this is an inconvenience for me as well,
- 10:03but like feeling like I'm inconveniencing people when it's
- 10:07like I something feels off, something feels wrong and that
- 10:11shouldn't be what I'm met with. Yeah, well, when it feels like
- 10:15maybe it looks minimal to someone else, but to you, you're
- 10:18so in tune with your body it feels it's a big deal.
- 10:20Totally. Yeah.
- 10:21And it's just like, you know, and not that I need to explain
- 10:24to everyone, but it's like we are a little bit more sensitive
- 10:27when something, something's happening.
- 10:29Like honestly, if this was two years ago and I'd probably be
- 10:31like, I'll just keep waiting it out a little longer.
- 10:33But I don't want to do that because I need a Peace of Mind.
- 10:37And if it is something, I want to know what it is so that we
- 10:39can, you know, address it. But besides that, I've had a
- 10:44constant and it's probably just cause I've been like stressed
- 10:47from like all this constant eye twitch for a week, a week, a
- 10:51week. Bethany, I'm driving myself
- 10:54nuts. Is it twinkling right now?
- 10:57Oh, like, yes, like you can't fully see it.
- 11:00So I even like brought that up and she's like, I don't see it.
- 11:03I'm like I I'm like, I don't know what to tell you.
- 11:05It is twitching. I just haven't feel like, like,
- 11:10doesn't matter what I say because no one's gonna believe
- 11:12me. Oh no, a week I've had twitching
- 11:16before where it's like, I don't know, for 10 minutes.
- 11:20Well, I will say it comes and goes.
- 11:21Like if I close my eyes, it's done.
- 11:23And so I do know like they ended up like taking labs and stuff on
- 11:26Sunday. I'm probably dehydrated even
- 11:28though I drink a lot of water, but like not probably enough.
- 11:31It's been a lot warmer for us, which is awesome and amazing,
- 11:33but I'm just like sweating more. So I just like need to make sure
- 11:36I'm taking care of myself and I think that I do, but you know,
- 11:40do you have? Electrolytes in your water right
- 11:41now. I put lemon and a little bit of
- 11:44pink Himalayan salt. OK.
- 11:46So that's like natural electrolytes.
- 11:48And then I'm only doing like, like literally this is still my
- 11:51coffee from this morning. I'm just doing like slow sipping
- 11:54just so I'm not doing too much caffeine.
- 11:57I don't know, I'm like something's affecting me.
- 11:59Oh, I would totally be like thinking about that, yeah.
- 12:01Yeah. So you know how like it's
- 12:03probably about over two years ago, definitely over two years
- 12:06ago when I was like really religious about like tracking my
- 12:09food. And that's when I first started
- 12:10really putting on muscle and like leaning out and stuff.
- 12:14I never got to the point where it was like anything extreme
- 12:18when I'm like, no, I can't have that.
- 12:19I can't have that. I just figured out how to like
- 12:20fit it in. So I remember feeling like super
- 12:22in control when I did that. So I decided to start tracking
- 12:26this week just because I'm like, it gives me something that I can
- 12:29focus on making sure I'm also, I was, I don't think I was eating
- 12:33enough. So like making sure I'm eating
- 12:36enough, making sure that like if they ask questions about my
- 12:39diet, like I can be like, well, I can tell you exactly what I've
- 12:42eaten. So I'm doing that just 'cause
- 12:44it's makes me feel good. I like knowing that I'm getting
- 12:47enough protein. And I realized I was definitely
- 12:50like way under eating carbs, which some people are like low
- 12:53carb everything, but that's not how my body works.
- 12:57So that makes me feel like, OK, I can focus on that and it makes
- 13:01me feel good and feels more energized when I'm know what I'm
- 13:04eating and stuff. But yeah, that's my little
- 13:08update. So like, not me, just like 12
- 13:12minutes of just like, hey, this is what I've got going on,
- 13:16something new. Stuff in life happens, you know?
- 13:20But then it's like the same thing where it's like all that
- 13:23can be going on and also awesome things can be happening.
- 13:26I know same so. I'm glad that I really am a
- 13:29person that can like break them up, but I'm not letting like my
- 13:34appointment today. Drag you down.
- 13:36Trickle into my whole day. It's just like, we'll see what
- 13:39you know when it comes. So yeah, like even yesterday I
- 13:43think I need to replant the flower pot that I planted.
- 13:46That you showed on Instagram. Yes, so I was so excited because
- 13:52I had two dogs that were supposed to come on Monday and
- 13:54now they're coming Friday. So this beginning of this week
- 13:57I've only had one training dog and two boarding dogs, which,
- 13:59you know, for me it's like a break.
- 14:01Yeah, so it's been really nice of just like yesterday after I
- 14:05walked the dogs and worked with the training dog, I went to the
- 14:07greenhouse and needed to get because we went this Sunday and
- 14:11got a bunch of plants. And then we realized I needed
- 14:13one more in a in another section.
- 14:15And I'm like, you know what? I've been like wanting to get
- 14:18some flowers, but I don't really have any pots to put them in.
- 14:21I'm like, I'm gonna buy myself a pot.
- 14:23I'm gonna buy all these flowers. And so I got back and I'm like,
- 14:27I'm gonna put it together and bring the dogs out to hang out
- 14:29with me. But the pot is so deep and I
- 14:33didn't want to use all of my potting soil to like just like
- 14:36fill up the whole thing. And so I saw someone say like
- 14:40use the cartoons that the flowers to put at the bottom and
- 14:42then put some dirt and then the flowers on top.
- 14:44I'm like, oh, that's a great idea.
- 14:46Oh, that's so I did that, but I think I did way too much plastic
- 14:50because now there's only like this much dirt under my flowers
- 14:54and I'm like, wait, when I'm watering them, the water's now
- 14:58just going down to the bottom where the plastic is.
- 15:01Yes. So I'm thinking I'm going to
- 15:03need to well, Casey just replanted or planted the new
- 15:08lilac bushes that we got. And so I'm like, can you dig up
- 15:11some extra dirt for me so I have it to like put in my pot?
- 15:15So I'm gonna need to replant that after this, But I'm like
- 15:17that's OK. Oh, that's so fun.
- 15:19Yeah, have you ever done POTS? I just did.
- 15:23I got my first couple ones for my mint that I put into my beds
- 15:29that just went insane and I just didn't know at the time.
- 15:33Like someone I know, like Pinterest told me, do not
- 15:36contagious. Yeah, it goes crazy.
- 15:39So I got it all up and put it in pots.
- 15:42I love that they're just like plastic pots cause terracotta
- 15:47pots they look so pretty but they're like a pretty good chunk
- 15:50of money for a terracotta. Pot, Well, the one I bought
- 15:53yesterday was just 'cause it was at the actual thing.
- 15:56I was like splurge, whatever, getting it.
- 16:00But I'm like, Oh my God, this thing is not cheap.
- 16:03I did. Not know that about pots like.
- 16:06I mean, I guess I would expect, like, a big one, like,
- 16:08especially at like a actual greenhouse, but I'm like, Oh my
- 16:12gosh, that's a lot. Yeah, terracottas do look so
- 16:16pretty. So pretty.
- 16:17Yeah. So I did one for our front front
- 16:20porch because we redid some stuff in our front yard and I've
- 16:23never been someone. I see it all the time where
- 16:25people have like a pretty pot with pretty flowers on the front
- 16:28porch. So I did that.
- 16:30How nice. So yeah, I like how that looks.
- 16:34It's. Interesting because my mom's
- 16:35always been a potted flowers like we've always had.
- 16:39Every year it's been like she gets some and puts them on the
- 16:42and then by the front door and I just never have done it.
- 16:47And like Casey's mom's always been like super into flowers.
- 16:49She does some pots but also does them all in her garden and
- 16:51stuff. I think it's honestly just
- 16:53because Casey's more of the planter than I am.
- 16:55So like all of the big bushes and stuff and like anything like
- 16:59garden Y it's always been him. But this year, I don't know, I
- 17:02just felt like I wanted some bright flowers and we just been,
- 17:06you know, taking care of our yard and stuff and I'm like, I
- 17:09want to do it. That's so fun I.
- 17:11Know so now I'm like I need to repot just because I'm like I
- 17:14want them to last. Jeez, I just needed to take a
- 17:19mortgage out of these flowers I purchased.
- 17:22Yeah, for a bit because. Because after I my friend told
- 17:26me she was pregnant. Which by the way, I have to say
- 17:28this because I hate sometimes sharing stuff like this because
- 17:33I would never want whatever you to decide.
- 17:35And whatever happens, if you have like a little announcement
- 17:38to make, don't worry about me being sad.
- 17:41I won't. OK, this is the, this is the
- 17:45overthinking part of me where I 'cause that did affect me, I
- 17:49think for different reasons, where it just felt like she was
- 17:52my one friend that I thought was never gonna have a baby.
- 17:55So. So I was like, I'm just gonna
- 17:58reward myself with going to the garden store every day, Every
- 18:05day. Yeah, you've been getting a lot
- 18:07of stuff. I, I I I had to stop.
- 18:11Like that's why I've got your dog coming up soon.
- 18:14Yes. To pay for my planting
- 18:16addiction. Yeah, but it's been so fun.
- 18:20My mom's gotten into it. Yeah, So that's been really
- 18:25cool. So we can talk about seedlings.
- 18:27Yes, all of the things. Well, what else has been going
- 18:30on for you? I don't know if you saw it, so I
- 18:33did a post yesterday on Instagram, Yeah.
- 18:37But I think it's changing my. Life.
- 18:39Yeah, I think it's changed my life in that way.
- 18:42A comment section. Well, one, it's actually made me
- 18:45look at my mom differently, which was a surprising side
- 18:48effect. I was just thinking like,
- 18:50because I asked this question like 15 years ago on Facebook
- 18:53and I was it was like, oh wow, this is so nice.
- 18:56Like just hearing the other side.
- 18:57It's probably just like talking about the negative stuff of
- 19:00having dogs. Yeah, But the people that are
- 19:03being so honest and open. And it just makes me think about
- 19:06moms and my mom in particular, and how I know there's so much
- 19:12goodness that comes from having kids, but then also the the
- 19:15stress and the worrying and all of that.
- 19:18And I just don't think I've thought of it that way with my
- 19:20mom, so. Yeah, yeah, Kristen, my sister
- 19:24definitely said that. Like, I mean, we both always had
- 19:26a close relationship with my mom, but like she definitely
- 19:30said like becoming a mom definitely changed a lot in the
- 19:32way that she like looked at mom and stuff and like had a
- 19:34different perspective and stuff. And obviously like when you have
- 19:38a super involved dad and stuff, but so many of the early years,
- 19:42it's like that physical and mental and emotional pull that
- 19:47it really is on the mom. It's.
- 19:50Wild. Yeah, it's crazy.
- 19:53And like I was thinking back to my mom was a great mom.
- 19:56And so I know I've talked about her some on this podcast in a
- 19:58way where it's just like talking and whatever relationships and
- 20:01I'm always hoping it's relatable for someone.
- 20:03But there are so many great things that she did where I just
- 20:06think like, Oh my God. Like she also had a full time
- 20:09job and like my parents would fight about money growing up.
- 20:13And I, I've always thought about that as like a, a negative,
- 20:16like, Oh my God, like they've. They imprinted on me that money
- 20:20is stressful and all this stuff where of course it's stressful
- 20:24like having kids. And so it just I was not
- 20:27expecting to feel that way from that comment section because
- 20:30then some people are like, go check out this one account.
- 20:34It's like girl with the list or something where it's all the
- 20:36reasons why not having kids is so great.
- 20:38And I was like, I don't really want that.
- 20:40Like I don't need to know. I think kids are great.
- 20:43I just wanted to hear, like, what are some of the messy
- 20:46things that I just don't hear? And yeah, but yeah, so it's been
- 20:51fascinating. Yeah, that's one thing.
- 20:53Like I didn't really go into the comment section.
- 20:56Like I saw obviously some of the girls that I also like love and
- 20:59stuff comment, but like I feel like I don't want to base any of
- 21:03my decisions on on that because it's like, of course it's gonna
- 21:07be it would be hard. Yes yeah, of course it would be
- 21:10amazing. Of course it's unconditional.
- 21:12Of course you are gonna have like this extreme worry and
- 21:15stuff like that, but I totally get wanting to be like,
- 21:21especially if you're surrounded by someone where it's like like
- 21:24not that you're not happy for your friend and stuff, but like
- 21:27make you feel a certain way. Yeah, yeah.
- 21:30Are you guys the same age you and your friend?
- 21:32Yep. OK, so she's. 40 younger, she's
- 21:3440. OK, so they weren't trying,
- 21:38which is always that's also something where it's always
- 21:40like, damn, like, well, well, and The funny thing is that
- 21:44Bobby and I so I came home and I've never been interested in
- 21:49IVF or like I just to me, that's a huge chunk of money.
- 21:52And if I really, really wanted it and I was like, it's all I
- 21:56wanted in life was to be a mom. This would be a different story,
- 21:59even like adoption. So we, cuz I, I came home and I
- 22:04was like crying talking to Bobby about it and I was like, it just
- 22:07makes me feel so weird. Not weird.
- 22:09It's like bringing up these things like should we try more?
- 22:11Like we both got tested early on, but then we really didn't
- 22:15track. We really were just kind of like
- 22:17what happens? It happens.
- 22:19We were literally talking about money and we signed up for we
- 22:23Bobby set up a schedule appointment at a place IVF
- 22:27place. We spent that day thinking about
- 22:29it like what this would look like, maybe just getting
- 22:32checked. And then the next day we were
- 22:35like, no, we don't really want to do that.
- 22:38So it's like, I think just going through the emotions of what
- 22:42that feels like. And cuz one thing I said, I was
- 22:47like, well, cuz the idea of getting a fit dog is insane to
- 22:50us. And I was like, think about
- 22:51that. Like if we got a puppy, doesn't
- 22:53that sound insane? And he's like, yeah, yeah, OK,
- 22:56thinking of it that way. Yeah.
- 22:58So I was like, a baby is gonna be probably 10 times as hard, 10
- 23:02times as great. But like so that put into
- 23:05perspective. Where I was like, I don't.
- 23:07Think I want to do that. Yeah, when it's like I, there's
- 23:11this one post that I've seen in the past of like, you're always
- 23:14gonna like have not the mourning of one or the other, but like, I
- 23:19think that's one of the biggest things with like Casey and I is
- 23:22like I, I hate the thought that it's like having a child is what
- 23:29brings you the value for the rest of your life.
- 23:32I think it would and I think it does.
- 23:34But I also think that our life that we've had, we will be
- 23:37married 10 years this year has been incredible not having a
- 23:43child. So it's like whichever way we
- 23:45end up going or anyone ends up going, it's like you're going to
- 23:48miss a part of either of those lives that you don't have any
- 23:52more or that you never end up having.
- 23:54So like with people like you and Bobby, it's also a great example
- 23:58of like just people that would be really amazing parents.
- 24:00Doesn't mean you have to be parents in that way, you know,
- 24:04your different kind of parents. But like, it's OK to like always
- 24:07miss kind of what that would have been while also living and
- 24:10leading an extremely fulfilling life.
- 24:14Yeah, I I totally think so too. Thank you and also.
- 24:18You like to sleep too much. You're an early riser though,
- 24:23that really helps. I literally love sleep, yeah.
- 24:26You love to, but honestly, you'd probably sleep kind of like as
- 24:30long as you have a child that sleeps their bedtime. 7:00 PM,
- 24:33You're like, same. You're not the like, I need to
- 24:38stay up for a couple of hours to get my me time and you'd be
- 24:41like, yeah, let's go to bed. That sounds great.
- 24:44Well, I think like, that is one thing that really stood out to
- 24:47me 'cause yesterday I haven't had wine in forever and like, I
- 24:51love a fun cocktail and. I know I wanna go get a bee's
- 24:55knees with you so bad. So bad that's.
- 24:57All I wanna do right now. But yesterday I was like, 'cause
- 25:02I'm telling you, after reading that comment section, I was
- 25:05like, Oh my God. Like one of my biggest fears is
- 25:09I'm gonna look back and regret, have regret about not being as
- 25:16grateful for my life and what I have no matter what other things
- 25:19I want right now. You know, like, do you wonder?
- 25:22If that has oh, sorry, not to interrupt, but do you think
- 25:24that's something to do with like how tight you are were with your
- 25:28dad as well as like knowing that kind of dynamic of like I had
- 25:33that such like you had a relationship with your dad that
- 25:37like people literally like long for like you have like, you
- 25:45know, so it's just like, I wonder if that also impacts you
- 25:48of like, you know, a parent relationship that is so like
- 25:52monumental and amazing. Yeah.
- 25:54Because like I think about some of that stuff too is like, you
- 25:57know, certain dynamics of like things I wouldn't want and then
- 25:59things that it's like like, you know, now I see like my parents
- 26:03watching us as adults and I know how like even probably sad a
- 26:07little bit just, you know, from when we were younger, but also
- 26:10how much they love watching us. So that kind of stuff like plays
- 26:14a role for me. Oh yeah, Well, I'm more
- 26:16fascinated by like, the older age of kids.
- 26:19Like, yeah, it's not so much that younger kid parks.
- 26:24I think that would be amazing. I think sleepless nights, yes,
- 26:27all of that. But I do love the cutesiness of
- 26:29kids and stuff. But it's like when they get
- 26:31older and you don't know how they'll turn out or.
- 26:35And I just have that experience in my own family where my
- 26:38brother was a little bit different with my parents than I
- 26:40was. Didn't talk to them for seven
- 26:42years. Like, that was so terrible for
- 26:44my parents. But my dad, actually, I didn't
- 26:47have a good relationship with him until I married Bobby.
- 26:53Wow. But like you guys didn't have a
- 26:55not good relationship. You guys just weren't as close,
- 26:57right? Or did you guys have like a not
- 26:58good relationship? We had a good no, we had a good
- 27:01relationship. Like he was always a great dad.
- 27:03Like I just always remember he never lost his temper.
- 27:07Like I remember one time when I was in high school and I decided
- 27:12to stop playing basketball, and I remember he didn't talk to me
- 27:15for six months because he was so upset with.
- 27:17Talk to you. Didn't talk to me like would
- 27:20ignore me, which is not like. I know that's not who.
- 27:25It was no, that's not who he was.
- 27:27And like with love, like that's like neglect, like that's like,
- 27:33like that's very like trauma that you wouldn't, you know?
- 27:37'Cause that's how we. That's why you like to also
- 27:39overcome communicate with Bobby is like the silence is gonna be
- 27:43like. We drew that into a huge
- 27:46argument. I don't think he'll mind saying
- 27:48this on Monday. Take care.
- 27:50All the things I share. Oh my gosh, I feel like you come
- 27:53here and you're like, I'm gardening and I'm so happy and
- 27:56I'm like, so I'm in another doctor's appointment.
- 27:59Fuck me. So no, please tell me about your
- 28:02argument. I hope it was bad.
- 28:04So we. Were you guys still love each
- 28:07other so it's fine. We're totally fine now.
- 28:09I wouldn't, I don't think I'd talk about this on air.
- 28:13I would tell you, but we're totally fine now.
- 28:16But we got into argument because sometimes what Bobby will do,
- 28:20because we just communicate differently in some ways.
- 28:24Like we're obviously very compatible, but very opposite.
- 28:27So in a lot of ways. So I brought up something
- 28:30because I really want to get our fence redone.
- 28:32There's holes in it. I'm a little embarrassed of it.
- 28:35I've been trying to cover it up. Yeah, I'm covering up with
- 28:38flowers, like trying to do all the things.
- 28:40And so I brought it up in the pool.
- 28:45It's all like, bring it up in conversation.
- 28:46I don't know, every month or so. And I can tell when he doesn't
- 28:49want to talk about it 'cause he'll change the subject, which
- 28:52is infuriating. Yes.
- 28:55It makes me feel dismissed. So I brought it up.
- 28:57I just said it like, Oh yeah, well, we should like, do the
- 29:01fence sometime. We're in floaties.
- 29:03And he's like, basically this is what it felt like.
- 29:06Look, the sun's out today. So it was like, you know, he
- 29:09didn't say that, but this. Guy is slow and.
- 29:13It's something like what? Like I don't, I don't respond
- 29:16very well to that. So I dove right in and I was
- 29:18like, can we talk about this like where you just kind of go
- 29:22silent and you change the subject When I want to talk
- 29:24about something like this, I know it's the money thing.
- 29:27And so we got it just went sideways pretty quick where we
- 29:33were both. Like picture like Bobby in an
- 29:36actual like argument. Does he raise his voice at all?
- 29:41Well, it's not. A very like.
- 29:43A raising voice, but he seems like mean.
- 29:46Like at one point at the end I started crying and I was like,
- 29:48why are you being so? Mean to me I cry if I there's
- 29:50any sort of argument. It's just like, he's well
- 29:53because he's always so nice to me.
- 29:55So it's like if he's being mean to me, it really stands out.
- 29:58So I'm like, why are you being mean to me?
- 30:00And I'm crying and he storms out of the pool.
- 30:06I would love to hear his perspective of this.
- 30:10And so and then luckily, because obviously, and I don't think
- 30:14anyone likes being in an argument, but no, then after I
- 30:18stayed in the pool for a little bit and I was like, how long can
- 30:20I stay in this pool just to like protest?
- 30:23Like 2 minutes probably. I can't.
- 30:25I'm not gonna last long. And that's why I'm so, well, I
- 30:28mean, I'm tan to me, I feel like too much time.
- 30:31But so an argument in the pool is probably the best place to do
- 30:34it for a little sun tan. But.
- 30:35No kidding. And then we talked it through
- 30:37and and everything's fine. It's just like was.
- 30:40It even like there obviously was.
- 30:41It was something more than just the fence.
- 30:45Yeah, it's the whole thing of when I say an idea about
- 30:49something that I want to spend money on on the House, even if
- 30:52it's a bigger, let's say it's $10,000, I want to talk it
- 30:56through. I don't want it to be a, we
- 30:59don't have to come up with a perfect game plan, but I want
- 31:01there to be some discussion of like, OK, let's figure it out,
- 31:04yes. Just so we know even where we're
- 31:06starting and then we can decide from there.
- 31:08Yeah, and it's not even really the fence.
- 31:11Like I literally could go with the fence being like this for a
- 31:12while if we had to. It's more the point of I need
- 31:16you to hear what I'm saying, acknowledge it, not dismiss it.
- 31:19So, so it was actually really good.
- 31:20And this is the part that is like so dysfunctional.
- 31:23I think sometimes about me and the idea of arguing.
- 31:26I hate it, but I love it. Well, it's because in a
- 31:30relationship where it's like you guys both have the end goal of
- 31:34figuring it out, that's why you love it.
- 31:38It's not you wouldn't love it if it was someone that you were not
- 31:41going to end up finding seeing eye to eye with.
- 31:43Yeah, no, for sure, Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 31:45So and it because it genuinely does like even our last therapy
- 31:49session, which was this past Friday, we were just talking
- 31:53about like how we handle conflicts and she was just
- 31:55asking and stuff. And I said like, not to sound
- 31:57like cliche, but we don't have like a lot of conflict.
- 31:59And like it's more of like, OK, let's talk about nitpicking
- 32:02versus an actual conflict. Those two things of how we deal
- 32:05with them very different. But yeah, we both even said like
- 32:10after we have an actual conversation, when it's
- 32:12something that's like the uncomfortable, we both feel so
- 32:15much more connected and feel like so much better.
- 32:18You just feel like a weight kind of just like.
- 32:22Well, it's like, I think sometimes you have to go through
- 32:25like the messy part of it feeling super uncomfortable and.
- 32:28Messy middle, just like training.
- 32:30Oh. My God this is basically a dog
- 32:33training podcast. We're we're a dog training
- 32:35podcast. So anytime we've talked about
- 32:38like conflict with your partner or something like that, just put
- 32:42the word in dog. Yeah, see.
- 32:44Through yeah, Oh my God. Yeah.
- 32:47So everything's fine. But it was just, it was
- 32:49actually, it's a really good thing.
- 32:52And so, yeah. Yeah, we just like this like
- 32:59unload and I'm sure that some people are like this isn't that
- 33:03much like sharing, but like we share personal things on here.
- 33:07Yeah, I just share it a lot, but I don't why am I so low.
- 33:10I feel like I'm like. So I look gargantuan.
- 33:16Oh, now I look too tall. You're like, what's the
- 33:19temperature like there? Is it getting really hot?
- 33:22Oh, so hot. It's stupid hot.
- 33:25Is your pool like? 90. 2 Water, it's 92.
- 33:30Well, right now it's 89. High is 92.
- 33:33It was 89 here yesterday. That is wild.
- 33:37But there's no way our humidity probably feels like yours yet.
- 33:41So it's drier where you are. Right.
- 33:44Like we do get humidity for sure.
- 33:46It's not dry like out West dry, but like your humidity of like
- 33:52like you guys didn't feel like it was humid at all in February.
- 33:55No. There was a couple of days that
- 33:57I was like, oh, it feels humid. Oh, OK.
- 34:00No, it's you should come down when it's summer.
- 34:03Summer. Have you ever been somewhere
- 34:04where it's like super, super hot?
- 34:06So it was many, many years ago, but my grandparents on my mom's
- 34:12side and my mom grew up in Tallahassee, FL.
- 34:16So your mom did? My mom did, yeah.
- 34:18And then she lived in Georgia for so my mom's been, she's was
- 34:21a southern girl until like 2530 ish.
- 34:25And then when she met my dad was the only reason she moved more
- 34:28Midwest and stuff because he just had more of an established
- 34:31like career and stuff. But yeah, so we went to
- 34:35Tallahassee. I don't remember if it was like
- 34:37my grandparents, like it was like a wedding something, but it
- 34:40was like summer and all I could think of is all I did was chafe.
- 34:47My thighs just chub rubbed like nobody's business.
- 34:51And I was like younger, like 12. And all I remember being is
- 34:54like, I'm so uncomfortable because, you know.
- 34:57Worse. Oh my gosh.
- 34:59Because you know, you're like running around in your swimsuit
- 35:01as a kid. And then it's like, I was a
- 35:02chubby kid. So then it's like I have so much
- 35:06chafe going on. And then we went to a place
- 35:08called. It was probably the first
- 35:09experience that I saw, like a live alligator that was like,
- 35:15not, you know, it's where you wouldn't expect to see them, not
- 35:19like a petting zoo or something like that.
- 35:22Yeah. And it's called Wakulla Springs.
- 35:24And I think I told you about it this one time.
- 35:26It was one of the coolest experiences ever.
- 35:30We went on this like, like this boat through this Wakulla
- 35:34Springs area. And the Gators were giant, like
- 35:39the one that we saw on that path on the van.
- 35:43They were like all like that. And then at the end there was a
- 35:46spring where they had these giant fish that like looked
- 35:50almost like they had like a like a swordfish, but it wasn't a
- 35:54swordfish. And you would jump off this
- 35:56giant dock basically into this natural spring.
- 36:01And I'm like, those fish are just in the water.
- 36:04So they don't they don't hurt you, they don't bother you.
- 36:06I'm just thinking, and it's similar to the IT was just like
- 36:08smaller scale the spring that we went in Wakaiva, which is
- 36:11interesting that they're Wakaiva and Wakala, but Wakaiva is a
- 36:15little bit more smaller scale. But isn't that weird to think
- 36:19genuinely like a Gator could go into the spring, but they don't
- 36:25like where we were swimming at Wakaiva and at like the swimming
- 36:29area, there's no Gators. It's a Clearwater.
- 36:34Was it with you or was I with my brother and sister-in-law and
- 36:37niece and nephew where there was a Gator that was really close to
- 36:42the area? No, that wasn't us.
- 36:43OK, Yeah. We were there with the rabid
- 36:46raccoon. So that was the last time.
- 36:49That was the last time we win or that was the first time I've run
- 36:52points with you. Yeah, that was the first time.
- 36:55The second time, Casey was there with.
- 36:56Casey Yeah, yeah. But that the Gator wasn't by the
- 36:59swimming area. Oh, so this time it did it like
- 37:01went up when we were going to like put our canoes up on this
- 37:05hand, and it was like getting close to the little bridge that
- 37:08goes before. And it was like, no, I don't
- 37:10like. Nuts to be around people.
- 37:13OK, so yeah, I thought for some reason like the water changed or
- 37:16something and they didn't want to be in that water, but it must
- 37:19just be because like similar probably not, that's probably
- 37:22wrong, but but it must just be because the activity level is
- 37:26higher and they genuinely aren't like seeking out the humans.
- 37:30I think, I think so, yeah. Yeah.
- 37:32Oh, I know. But it's like so crazy seeing
- 37:35like wild animals in a space like that.
- 37:37That is very Florida. And like that, that's where like
- 37:41we're in their home type of thing.
- 37:42I love that. I think that's cool when it's
- 37:44like, you know, even like the, I love that the area in Wekiva is
- 37:50no motor. So it's like to keep it more
- 37:53chill for the wildlife and stuff.
- 37:56And even the boat that we were on, it was one of those, I don't
- 38:02know it, it was not a gas boat, but it was a similar concept.
- 38:05But how far is Tallahassee from Orlando?
- 38:09That's a while, right? Three.
- 38:11Hours. Oh, I guess it's not that far.
- 38:13That is something that I, I know you guys are Florida people, so
- 38:15maybe it wouldn't be as cool to you, but like that's one where
- 38:19I'd be like your niece and nephew would think it is so
- 38:23cool. Wakulla.
- 38:26Wakulla. Yeah, Wakulla.
- 38:29Have you ever rode on a golf cart?
- 38:32Oh, I just want, oh, that's right.
- 38:35But like, OK, so I, we just, I'm so excited about this.
- 38:38Like when we go to the beach at the end of June, we just rented
- 38:41a golf cart. Yes, that's awesome.
- 38:44That feels so beach. So baby.
- 38:46Yes, yeah, I'm so excited. About that, what are the dates
- 38:49for that that you guys go? June 25th through the 30th.
- 38:53Nice. Yeah.
- 38:55When does Hannah come over? She it's the week of the 7th
- 39:00where she's gonna be at Heather and Koreans and she's gonna come
- 39:02over. Yeah.
- 39:04So I'm still not sure. We'll, we'll see if we're
- 39:07bringing both Louie and Johnny or if Louie's gonna stay back.
- 39:11Yeah, it'll be a really good growth experience for me when
- 39:13she comes over. Totally.
- 39:15What do you think? What does Bobby think?
- 39:17Oh, he's whatever. So that makes sense.
- 39:25Right, he really has no opinion when I well when I said he might
- 39:28if I actually directly asked him, but no I but.
- 39:32He's like obviously so obsessed and you are too of Louis, but
- 39:36like. I'm so obsessed, you.
- 39:37Seem more anxious about her behavior, he.
- 39:41Sounds more. Yes, he seems more like I'm
- 39:45gonna like correct her for it and then tell her to move on.
- 39:49Well, he doesn't notice things that I probably would notice.
- 39:52Yeah. You know what I mean?
- 39:53Like where that's the curse of being a dog trainer.
- 39:56It's like, yeah, I notice these things like.
- 39:58The forwardness and stuff like, yes, it's like, OK, that's too
- 40:01much. Like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 40:02So. But she's, I feel like we've
- 40:06bonded because I have her outside with me all the time and
- 40:10that she's like basically a farm dog in a backyard.
- 40:13That's how she feels. I love her.
- 40:16I did too. Remember Casey and I both said
- 40:18like out of your dogs we would probably own Louis.
- 40:22I know. Even though she's the one that's
- 40:23like the most, but when she's locked into you, she's like
- 40:27locked in. And she's so.
- 40:29Sweet when she looks sweet, not that I want to say like the ones
- 40:32she knows you thinks that's such like, but it's true.
- 40:34It's like when you know she can trust you and you can trust her.
- 40:38She's not like the German Shepherd that it's like, you
- 40:42know, oh, there's that type of German shepherd.
- 40:44Like she's not outwardly looking for trouble.
- 40:47She just has a big persona starting things off.
- 40:52Her instincts are mighty strong. But I guess that's also a note
- 40:56on I really didn't feel that close with her until this last
- 40:59year. And she's 7.
- 41:02Like, yeah, I mean, I love her, but I would never be like, Oh my
- 41:05God, I love Louis. We're now.
- 41:07I mean, it's just so interesting.
- 41:08And it makes sense. The more stuff I do with her,
- 41:11the more she's like, Oh my God, I love you.
- 41:13Yeah, I think it's cool with you having the four dogs and
- 41:16obviously, you know, me knowing both of your two packs with
- 41:21Sadie being in it versus now with Johnny is it really is a
- 41:25cool contrast to being able to see like the ebbs and flows of
- 41:28dogs a little bit more than like 2 of them.
- 41:32Like with Birdie and Roadie, it's like they obviously have
- 41:33their ebbs and flows over the years, but it's like I have two
- 41:36to choose from. And it's like now it's like I
- 41:37know my birdie's always been my, if I want to take a dog to
- 41:41somewhere busier, it's always been birdie.
- 41:44And before it was like, if I want to actually go do something
- 41:46like really active, it was Rhody.
- 41:49And now it's kind of like birdie for almost everything and Rhody
- 41:52for like let's go find things that he enjoys and loves doing,
- 41:56but with your dogs. It's interesting because even
- 41:57saying like we would both want to own Louis, I feel like it was
- 42:01because of this trip. I don't think I would have
- 42:03chosen her in the past. I would have chosen Theo in the
- 42:06past because I loved like his activity level, but then he also
- 42:10chilled. But then like he's in the phase
- 42:12right now where he wants to be active, but you can't be as
- 42:14active with him. So it's like I wouldn't really
- 42:17choose him because it's like I can't go bring him.
- 42:19You. Know so it's like and then with
- 42:21Johnny, you know he's obviously so nervous and stuff but then
- 42:25once he's comfortable, it's like no better feeling than him
- 42:30liking you because then I was like, wait a second after our
- 42:32little photo shoot. I'm like, I think I think I
- 42:35would take aesthetically, I would take Johnny in a
- 42:37heartbeat. I just feel like mix all of your
- 42:40dogs. I know it's so fun, like
- 42:42watching how they interact. It literally sometimes feels
- 42:45like I'm watching like a wild dog show.
- 42:47Like how they like socialize with each other or play off of
- 42:51each other. Or if the ocean is beneath.
- 42:54Yeah. I have no other pack of dogs.
- 42:56I have to say that like of people that have more than two,
- 43:00let's call it that I think work as well as like your guys's
- 43:05dogs. It's obviously because of what
- 43:06you guys do. Like, yeah.
- 43:08But the this like people getting more and more dogs.
- 43:13Most of the time I'm like, Oh my gosh, but you guys having four
- 43:15dogs, it does not feel like 4 dogs unless it's like they're
- 43:18all laying in the same space And it's like it just feels like a
- 43:21lot of dog. But it does not feel like
- 43:25chaotic energy where I don't know many, like I'm just
- 43:30thinking of a handful that I'm like, this is too much like like
- 43:35it's just too much dog. Well, I don't, it's so wild.
- 43:38I don't feel like that with your guys's dogs at all.
- 43:40Well that is a huge compliment 'cause you were in our house for
- 43:43three weeks, so if anyone would. We would also have no problem
- 43:46putting your dogs away. I love putting them away.
- 43:49Yeah, because then they also were out a ton as well.
- 43:52Yes, it's not like. Fully fulfilled.
- 43:54It's so weird 'cause it's like our lives do revolve around our
- 43:57dogs, but they don't revolve around our dogs.
- 44:00I I know it's hard to explain to someone who like so I where I
- 44:05get my hair done and the girl who does my hair it it was on
- 44:08Monday and she brought one of her dogs.
- 44:10Oh my God, I feel like I was almost it was like slow torture.
- 44:17I had to keep changing the subject because she baby talks
- 44:19her dog almost the entire time and it's like I doodle.
- 44:24No, it's like a cute like pity lab mix like he's big and super
- 44:30cute, but like I don't I I one time she asked me I kept trying
- 44:36to veer the conversation to gardening 'cause I was like, I
- 44:38don't know, whatever. I.
- 44:39Don't wanna talk dogs? She was like, do you just like
- 44:42look at your dogs all day and like say you love them all the
- 44:44time? And I was like, no, like, I
- 44:47don't talk. I I baby talk Johnny a lot.
- 44:50I'm like my baby, you know, so, But no, I don't do.
- 44:54That no, it's so I just don't even, I don't even think I ever
- 45:00did that even just as like just as a owner, like I definitely
- 45:04was like this is my child now and I thought that very much and
- 45:08like, yeah, sure, but like. Around other people too.
- 45:11I also read the room like I and I don't know if she just thinks
- 45:15I'm a dog person. So it's like it was like nails
- 45:18in a chalkboard where I'm like she's so nice.
- 45:21I love the girl that does my hair but I'm like Oh my God I
- 45:24can't. Handle this.
- 45:26The baby talking, it's like, that's enough like.
- 45:30Enough. We're good.
- 45:31I'm all set. The dog's playing like, like so
- 45:35anxious. He would come over and like jump
- 45:38up on me and she's like, oh, he's so anxious and I'm like,
- 45:40yeah, well, no shit. Like literally tell.
- 45:43Me. Something I don't know, serial
- 45:44killer cuz I just don't really pay attention.
- 45:46I was petting him some cuz at first I'm like Oh yeah, I like
- 45:48dogs. Yeah.
- 45:50I also I'm not gonna hug him when he puts his full paws on
- 45:54me. That's.
- 45:54Not, no. It's actually so funny, which I
- 45:58know you probably feel the same way.
- 45:59Like now when I see, like, dogs out in public, it's just a dog
- 46:01out in public. Like there's some that I see
- 46:03that are a little extra cute that I'm like, oh, that dog's
- 46:05cute. But there's no like, oh, my
- 46:07gosh, a dog. But which just happened in
- 46:12Florida and just happened this past weekend at Hilldale, which
- 46:15you've been to that outdoor mall area.
- 46:17Yeah. A cat on a leash say less.
- 46:21That makes me act like an. What did you do?
- 46:25You went over and like. No, because I don't that person,
- 46:28but I definitely like did a side like I walked past and I gave
- 46:31them still plenty of space and I was like, I love your cat.
- 46:35I say something. I don't want people to have a
- 46:38cat. Someone who brings their cat in
- 46:40public on a harness, They want you to pay attention.
- 46:44True. I think that's like part of the
- 46:47shick, you know, I'm saying that dismissive.
- 46:50I don't mean dismissively, I mean like, that's not.
- 46:52Cool that. That's like if someone brings a
- 46:55ferret out on a harness. You've seen that.
- 46:58They're not like, no, please, no, that's wild.
- 47:02No, no, no, no. I saw a mystical animal that I'm
- 47:05just making up what it was in the crate next to me, but it was
- 47:08something like a porcupine or I have no idea.
- 47:12The ferret I saw on the ground with a full harness and leash, I
- 47:18don't think that person would be like excuse me?
- 47:20Yeah, don't touch my Garrett. Totally, totally.
- 47:25Yeah, you make a good point. I would be that person that's
- 47:27like, why are you bringing your cat out on a harness if you're
- 47:30going to be rude when I ask about your cat?
- 47:32Like, no one's. I doubt that you know.
- 47:34Oh yeah. Because that person in Florida,
- 47:35when we approached them with their cat, you could tell they
- 47:37were like, they loved it. I'm pretty sure that cat has an
- 47:41Instagram account. As it should.
- 47:43Yeah. Yeah, as it should.
- 47:45Oh my gosh. Well, how was your time at the
- 47:48farm and stuff? Because that was a different
- 47:51friend. You were just farm.
- 47:53Or oh, it was good. She's so cute.
- 47:55Like it was just so cute to see like, you know, through their
- 47:59little eyes. And yeah, yeah, it made me miss
- 48:03my chickens because there were some chickens there that not the
- 48:06best little area. So I was like.
- 48:09Oh my gosh, my chickens haven't made.
- 48:11Yes, I was excited to come back and see them.
- 48:14It made me feel great, good. What about you with your knees?
- 48:17Yeah, we went to the zoo and we had so much fun.
- 48:19I will say some of the big animals were like sleeping, like
- 48:22the lions and stuff were just up on their just like deck area
- 48:26sleeping her. The thing that she was most
- 48:28excited about probably honestly because it was the easiest to
- 48:30see, was the rhino. She's like, oh wow, wow.
- 48:36And then the whole time, like she's in total, she goes through
- 48:39phases. She's in total phase of KK right
- 48:42now, which is KC KKK and grabs his hand and wants to hold hands
- 48:47with him. So it's Kiki and KK holding
- 48:49hands with Eloise and like but has to have K KS hand and to
- 48:55like be picked up to look at the animals.
- 48:57KK up, KK up and I'm like, it is so cute.
- 49:01Yeah, it is to die for. And then we got her chalk and a
- 49:05ball. So we did a lot of outdoor time
- 49:07and like drawing on the driveway, went to a park.
- 49:12It was so much fun. She's just such a cool age.
- 49:15Like that's one thing I will say is I don't think I would love
- 49:18the baby phase like that. Like, you know, some people are
- 49:22like, you know, they love the like just like laying in bed for
- 49:25like 5 hours types of thing. That to me like is where I get
- 49:29like anxiety induced even thinking about it of like, Oh my
- 49:33gosh, like something being so like so much need but like this
- 49:37like 2 year old face, even though you're constantly worried
- 49:40they're gonna hurt themselves. Like it's so fun, like so fun.
- 49:44And I don't know if, you know, every child starts talking
- 49:47differently and stuff, but like she's not talking full
- 49:49sentences, but like you can have a conversation with her like and
- 49:54kind of figure out what she's saying and stuff.
- 49:56And that's really cool. Like even just seeing like how
- 50:00this is probably slightly like personal, but it's just cool to
- 50:03see her connectic. She's still in diapers and
- 50:05they're probably gonna start potty training this summer.
- 50:08But like she now even knows how to tell my sister.
- 50:10Like if she's like diaper rash, she'll say stinging Mama, sting
- 50:14Mama. And so then Kristen, like, I'm
- 50:18like, that's really smart to like know how to like say a
- 50:23feeling you're feeling and describe it in a way.
- 50:26Like I'm like, how do they I know they learn these things
- 50:29from we all learn them at some point, but I'm just like, it's
- 50:32really cool to see like the how they're learning.
- 50:36So that did that. You know, she always changes
- 50:40every time we see her. But that one was like, just like
- 50:43all the things. I'm like, wow, she's really
- 50:44smart. Like she knows all of it.
- 50:47Even like the things that Kristen's teaching her, like she
- 50:50wants to run for everything. So we're at like this park and
- 50:53you just are waiting for them to just like fall and dive bomb
- 50:55because they get over their feet.
- 50:57So Kristen starts yelling walking feet and Eloise goes and
- 51:01she like really stomps her feet down.
- 51:04Like Kristen must have showed her like walking.
- 51:07So she starts like walking like a little dinosaur.
- 51:09I'm like, it's so cute. We're like a full person.
- 51:13Just go like stop. And she knows that she must stop
- 51:17if she hears that, so she stops at a track and looks back like I
- 51:20stopped. But Oh yeah, it was so fun.
- 51:24You. Our neighbor kid is named a
- 51:26little girl, Eloise. Yeah, I remember hearing that
- 51:30when we were going for a bike ride and I was like, cute.
- 51:32Such a good name. Yes, I love that name.
- 51:35Yeah, have birds been coming near a bird feeder?
- 51:39No, what I think happened a while right by our I was pointed
- 51:45to your window right by here over by the garden.
- 51:49I'm thinking of putting it in the front yard because.
- 51:51OK, you did put it in the back. Yeah, but we have someone on the
- 51:54yard. Yep.
- 51:56But it has like a cone 'cause my biggest thing was, oh, I just
- 52:00don't want the squirrels to get insane about it.
- 52:03I don't know if it's the cone and they can't see it 'cause
- 52:05I've been going over and shaking it and.
- 52:07Yeah, maybe we tried the front yard.
- 52:09Have you already had any more raccoons?
- 52:12Yes, it's the same one. This raccoon now lives here.
- 52:15I'm actually not that mad about it if I'm being honest.
- 52:19It's. Like a royal nature show.
- 52:21Yeah, like he's got to eat too. The only thing is, I will say we
- 52:24refilled one of the bird feeders and the next morning we came out
- 52:27and it was fully empty. So I'm like, OK, we cannot
- 52:29afford this raccoon. So have you, have you named him?
- 52:33We actually named we were trying to name him last night, which is
- 52:37so funny that you asked that. Of course Casey wants some weird
- 52:40ass name so his name is 2 smokes.
- 52:46I said we should name him like Ziggy or something and he was
- 52:50like 2 smokes. Like OK, who smokes?
- 52:54Wait, didn't that just come out of nowhere?
- 52:55Like. No, it's from his weirdest show
- 52:59that he's watched multiple times, Trailer Park Boys.
- 53:03Oh no. And him and his brothers say it
- 53:05to each other. They go 2 smokes.
- 53:07I don't even know what it means, but apparently that's a
- 53:09raccoon's name. But we have been, we have to
- 53:11bring 2 of the feeders in at night because we're like, this
- 53:14is getting crazy. But Casey went out last night on
- 53:17the deck to bring in the feeders and he heard them under the
- 53:20deck. He was like, oh, he was already
- 53:21out looking for him. Oh my God.
- 53:24Wait, so is it the time of year where you can go hang out on
- 53:27that deck? Oh yeah.
- 53:30Pretty grilling. Yeah, we've done a couple of
- 53:34stuff on our Blackstone. But yeah, I mean, it's fully,
- 53:36it's feeling fully summer now. Like this week.
- 53:38I don't think any of the days are lower than like our highs
- 53:41are not lower than 80s. Is that your favorite time of
- 53:44year? Oh yeah, yeah, I love it.
- 53:46June's definitely like my favorite month of the year.
- 53:49Oh my gosh, it's so funny because when we go into well,
- 53:52I'm liking it more, which is This is why Bobby thinks I'm a
- 53:55completely different person now because I like being on the back
- 53:58porch. Thanks to you and also you're
- 54:00welcome. I'll get into the pool and then
- 54:04sit on the back porch. We bought another fan.
- 54:06So I have these fans blowing at me.
- 54:07I'm like, yeah, this is nice. Getting into the pool.
- 54:10Never. Really been the pool person,
- 54:12wasn't it? More Bobby.
- 54:13Yeah, you know, it's so funny. When we were in the pool pre big
- 54:16argument, he was like, why did he say something like, oh,
- 54:22you're not proving Kate wrong? It was something where because I
- 54:26know you said something like how often are y'all in the pool?
- 54:29And I think my answer was like, never really.
- 54:31Ever. And I was like, what?
- 54:33And I think you were upset and he.
- 54:34Yeah. So it wasn't you wrong.
- 54:35It was, yes. I was like, yeah, we've been in
- 54:39the pool every single day. No.
- 54:40Yeah, yeah. It's.
- 54:42Nice, I want to go in a pool. It's actually so funny because
- 54:46we were like looking up earlier. So we're like, well, this
- 54:48afternoon, especially after like working with dogs, like is there
- 54:50any public pools we can go to the way?
- 54:53Yes, I want to? It's like so perfect weather out
- 54:56right now can. You get a blue pool.
- 54:59It's not the same. Oh yeah, it's true.
- 55:02Like it's just pollen will land in it just like, oh.
- 55:06Dirty. Yeah, and just like I want a
- 55:09deep pool, I can actually like walk in and.
- 55:11I wouldn't take you as a public pool person.
- 55:14I'm not oh but I'm willing to give it a shot depending.
- 55:19I don't want to go to like the baby pool because there's just a
- 55:22bunch of pee and poop probably in it.
- 55:23Oh. Can you imagine if you?
- 55:25Just and I don't want to go to want like there's a water park.
- 55:28Oh, no. Oh.
- 55:29No, none of that. Yeah, I would.
- 55:32Tell you how Bobby and I would go.
- 55:33There's this place, Volcano Bay, and we had this little phase of
- 55:38our life where we were just desperate to find hobbies.
- 55:42First we tried to take up tennis.
- 55:43I think I told you that We even went out to like a big tennis
- 55:46place, bought rackets. Course, did you guys commit?
- 55:51Guys, commit. Played twice, that was it.
- 55:55And then we got passes to this water park, Volcano Bay, and
- 56:00we're like, we're going to be the people that do this.
- 56:02And like probably went twice one of the days.
- 56:05Or was it Premier House? 2 for 45 minutes. 30 It's a
- 56:11water park. It's a water park with big
- 56:13slides. Big.
- 56:15What? That sounds like your worst
- 56:17nightmare. It literally is.
- 56:19I'm telling you, we were like reaching you weren't have a pool
- 56:22time. Just like really got into pool
- 56:24life. This was still when you were at
- 56:26this house. Oh yeah.
- 56:28Oh, you had a pool and we're going to go to a water park for
- 56:30you. I mean something.
- 56:32So now, so now I tap into that part where it's like, I don't
- 56:36want to look back and be like, why didn't I use my fucking
- 56:38pool? Like it's right here, use your
- 56:40pool. I know because I get upset.
- 56:42And your people live. On a lake and they're not
- 56:44accessing the lake. Like what are you doing?
- 56:46You live on a lake? Like do something at least go
- 56:49sit by your lake. Yes.
- 56:51You don't swim if you don't want to because like alligators, but
- 56:55like get a boat or a paddle board.
- 56:58Appreciate the lake. Yeah, it's, it's aggravating.
- 57:01So we're appreciating our pool. I'm proud of you.
- 57:04Yeah, so that's for you in a way.
- 57:06Awesome. Hey, anything else new for Oh my
- 57:09God, 56 minutes? I know who knew?
- 57:12No, not really. I I feels like I, I felt fine
- 57:16starting, but I felt, I feel even more Oh my God stroking out
- 57:19rejuvenated after talking to you.
- 57:21Oh yay. Yeah, so nice.
- 57:25I can't wait for August. Did you see I sent out an e-mail
- 57:27to the trainer? New group.
- 57:28Yes, OK. Thank you for doing that.
- 57:30Yeah, I was just thinking, well, someone had messaged me and
- 57:32they're like, hey, I don't know, it's too soon for us to start
- 57:35planning. And I'm like, thank you for the
- 57:37basically the reminder because no, it's not too soon.
- 57:40We should have found out something before I'm SO.
- 57:42Excited. I can't believe.
- 57:44Excuse me. Oh my God, I hope no one can
- 57:46hear me burp. Would I do that?
- 57:47I didn't hear it. Oh, did I mute?
- 57:49No, no, I can't believe August is almost here.
- 57:53I know do. You ever think this about time?
- 57:56How time goes by so fast? Yes.
- 58:00Oh, so last night. Oh, so Bobby and I got we split
- 58:04a bottle of wine last night. So I got really tipsy, but I
- 58:08hate drinking wine. I'm never, we're never doing it
- 58:10again because I slept terrible. Yeah, I love sleeping.
- 58:14Yeah, but we were doing the cards and like asking questions.
- 58:18And then Bobby, because he was tipsy too.
- 58:20So he went on Amazon. He was like, because that show
- 58:24I've watched that I really like couples therapy.
- 58:27And he was like, do you think there are cards that are like
- 58:29for couples? And I'm like, I'm pretty sure he
- 58:31was like, that's $1,000,000 idea.
- 58:33So he went on. Obviously there's a bunch of
- 58:35them. Yeah.
- 58:36So he, I think he bought a couple, but he was like reading
- 58:39the questions from one of them and I was, we were like
- 58:43answering them. So fun.
- 58:45I love that. Yeah.
- 58:47Were they the questions that you were pulling from, like the box
- 58:49that we had? Yeah.
- 58:50Did you get a different one? I know.
- 58:52Well, he bought a couple of new ones.
- 58:54OK, awesome for couples. Yep.
