- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Welcome to another episode of the Almost Famous Podcast. Today
- 0:10Speaker 2: we have Michelle Young here. She's been engaged since we
- 0:15Speaker 2: last talked to her. Hey Michelle, Hello, how are you
- 0:18Speaker 2: doing good. So we were reporting on your engagement in December,
- 0:22Speaker 2: but you guys got engaged a significant amount of time
- 0:24Speaker 2: before that, right.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Yeah, we got engaged in October and we're able to
- 0:30Speaker 3: just kind of enjoy it and keep this secret for
- 0:33Speaker 3: a little bit, which was really nice. Not something that
- 0:36Speaker 3: we expected, just because it was outside and there's some
- 0:39Speaker 3: people that sawce who were like, let's hope that they
- 0:41Speaker 3: just let us announce it, but they did, so, yeah,
- 0:45Speaker 3: it was. It happened in October, and we didn't announce
- 0:48Speaker 3: until like end of December, early January, and it's just
- 0:53Speaker 3: been wedding planning chaos. It's been great though.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Oh that's so nice.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Okay, So I'm assuming you just did it so that
- 0:58Speaker 2: you can privately enjoy the engagement before anybody else knew knew?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Did you tell your family and your friends right away?
- 1:05Speaker 3: Yeah, So we had Jack set up a little bit
- 1:08Speaker 3: of an engagement party right afterwards, and so we were
- 1:10Speaker 3: able to have like an intimate gathering with family and
- 1:14Speaker 3: friends and tell some people, and then we got on
- 1:18Speaker 3: the phone with some other like family members that were
- 1:20Speaker 3: out of state, and so people who were really close
- 1:22Speaker 3: to us knew. But we were careful to like not
- 1:26Speaker 3: let it get too big, just because then you know,
- 1:27Speaker 3: something happens, it slips up. We want to be the
- 1:29Speaker 3: one to be able to stay, and we just wanted
- 1:32Speaker 3: to enjoy it for a little bit. And you know,
- 1:34Speaker 3: once you kind of announced something like that, I think
- 1:38Speaker 3: all these like questions and full blown like planning and
- 1:43Speaker 3: all this other stuff comes into play. So we're like,
- 1:45Speaker 3: let's just take a breath and enjoy the holidays and everything.
- 1:50Speaker 3: And then well as afterwards.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I think that's a good decision because, yeah, you immediately
- 1:54Speaker 2: get asked about planning and you're like, are you guys crazy?
- 1:59Speaker 4: It just happened.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Now that you've been engaged, well twice because of the show.
- 2:05Speaker 2: How do two engagements compare?
- 2:09Speaker 3: They don't compare?
- 2:10Speaker 4: Okay, everything about those feelings.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that we just I've talked about this before,
- 2:17Speaker 3: but Jack, he just calms my nervous system so much,
- 2:21Speaker 3: and he really puts my anxiety at Bay and so
- 2:26Speaker 3: I just feel like with him, I'm able to. I know,
- 2:28Speaker 3: social media has seen a little bit more of like
- 2:30Speaker 3: my goofy side and all these different sides that have
- 2:34Speaker 3: always been there, but I think just there's always so
- 2:37Speaker 3: much going on, and so it's been really nice to
- 2:40Speaker 3: just fully feel so comfortable in a relationship and so
- 2:45Speaker 3: accepted and so loved. And he just is somebody who's
- 2:49Speaker 3: always going to stick around. And I don't know, I
- 2:53Speaker 3: can't when you're in a healthy relationship after you've been
- 2:56Speaker 3: in not so healthy relationships, it's hard to expec Lane
- 3:00Speaker 3: because I always said, oh, it's just a feeling, it's
- 3:03Speaker 3: just a feeling. There's times where I thought I had
- 3:04Speaker 3: that feeling before, and I'm like, oh, this is what
- 3:07Speaker 3: it's supposed to feel like, Like this is what I
- 3:09Speaker 3: actually like a healthy relationship feels like and how it operates.
- 3:12Speaker 3: And so we just have, I don't know, a really
- 3:15Speaker 3: great system, really great communication, and he's just he's just
- 3:20Speaker 3: such a jump. I don't know how the hell I
- 3:22Speaker 3: found him in Minnesota, I really don't, but if anyone
- 3:26Speaker 3: could get to know him, he's like literally a lovely man.
- 3:29Speaker 3: He's so wonderful Oh.
- 3:30Speaker 4: That's so nice.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Would you think that your relationship with Nate during the
- 3:36Speaker 2: show do you think it was healthy during filming? Do
- 3:40Speaker 2: you think that it's a place that anybody can find
- 3:43Speaker 2: a relationship that they really know is going to work
- 3:45Speaker 2: out because you only know them for eight weeks and
- 3:47Speaker 2: in a secluded environment.
- 3:50Speaker 3: I mean, I think anything is possible. So you see,
- 3:52Speaker 3: you do see successful relationships. Yeah, I would be lying
- 3:57Speaker 3: if I didn't say I really thought. I had watched
- 4:00Speaker 3: prior leads go into the show and like maybe they
- 4:02Speaker 3: didn't ask the correct questions to really get to know somebody.
- 4:05Speaker 3: So when I was stepping into the lead, I really thought, oh,
- 4:08Speaker 3: I'm going to ask the questions, whether it's like during
- 4:10Speaker 3: fantasy suites or doing it's like dates and things like that,
- 4:12Speaker 3: I'm going to ask the right questions so that I
- 4:15Speaker 3: can fully know somebody. And then, as you know, you
- 4:19Speaker 3: get out of it and go through what I guess
- 4:22Speaker 3: what I went through. I did have this like shattering
- 4:25Speaker 3: moment where I'm like, holy shit, you do not know
- 4:28Speaker 3: because you have to watch people go through a certain
- 4:31Speaker 3: amount of life, like people pass away, you navigate through
- 4:35Speaker 3: death together, you navigate through sickness, together, you navigate through
- 4:39Speaker 3: social media together. There's so many different things that you
- 4:42Speaker 3: navigate through together that you can kind of attempt to
- 4:46Speaker 3: ask questions and see during that period of time getting
- 4:49Speaker 3: to know each other. But you truly don't know unless
- 4:50Speaker 3: it's like this lengthy period of time. And so do
- 4:54Speaker 3: I fully believe you can hundred percent you can get
- 4:55Speaker 3: to know somebody. No, can you take a risk and
- 4:58Speaker 3: can that risk work out? Yes? Am I really incredibly
- 5:01Speaker 3: happy that my risk didn't work out? Hell? Yeah, I'm
- 5:03Speaker 3: definitely with the person I'm supposed to be with and
- 5:06Speaker 3: could not be happier.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Oh, we're so happy for you. This is awesome.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I like love, Like you could just tell from looking
- 5:12Speaker 2: at her she's just absolutely going and I love It's amazing.
- 5:16Speaker 2: You were really close to quote winning Matt James this
- 5:20Speaker 2: season ended up being with Rachel for quite some time.
- 5:25Speaker 2: They obviously got to know each other very well in
- 5:28Speaker 2: real life. Did you see I mean you probably didn't
- 5:32Speaker 2: see this breakup coming, as we all didn't.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Really what was your take on it all?
- 5:38Speaker 3: I think my take was honestly that I didn't have
- 5:42Speaker 3: a take with social media. It's everyone assumes that it's
- 5:46Speaker 3: so black and white, and you know, given certain platforms
- 5:51Speaker 3: or opportunities to speak on things, you hear one side
- 5:53Speaker 3: of the story, not the other side of the story.
- 5:55Speaker 3: But you can agree with certain things, you can disagree
- 5:58Speaker 3: with certain things. But for me personally, I can't sit
- 6:02Speaker 3: and think about, Okay, well, who's corner am I in
- 6:05Speaker 3: because through that situation, like I'm in my corner when
- 6:08Speaker 3: I kind of take a look at that relationship and
- 6:11Speaker 3: just this whole like I wanna say, like bandwig and
- 6:14Speaker 3: jumping when it comes to like these big breakup statements
- 6:17Speaker 3: or like things happening in social media, I think back
- 6:20Speaker 3: to like that whole massive controversy that I sat down
- 6:23Speaker 3: and I went through and I had to speak about race,
- 6:26Speaker 3: and I had to be the teacher and speak up
- 6:28Speaker 3: about you know, women in color and how we should
- 6:31Speaker 3: be treated within reality television and explain things to people.
- 6:34Speaker 3: And I went through this whole like racial trauma experience
- 6:39Speaker 3: when I sat there, and so I had such a
- 6:42Speaker 3: whole different experience that I kind of in my corner
- 6:47Speaker 3: and I don't think about it, like I just choose
- 6:50Speaker 3: to be at peace with it and not spend so
- 6:52Speaker 3: much energy, you know, whose side or who's right or
- 6:55Speaker 3: who's wrong, because I think both parties can make mistakes
- 6:58Speaker 3: and relationships. But also it's like I spend a lot
- 7:01Speaker 3: of time focusing on these two people. At the end
- 7:04Speaker 3: of that season, what's sitting next to me, you know,
- 7:06Speaker 3: Acho and had to have the whole conversation be about race,
- 7:09Speaker 3: and so it's like I really just am in nobody's
- 7:13Speaker 3: corner and am that peace with it and really don't
- 7:16Speaker 3: spend a lot of time thinking about it. So I
- 7:19Speaker 3: really just have tried to say off social media because
- 7:21Speaker 3: like every other scroll has been this whole thing, and
- 7:25Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, you know, maybe it's not something that
- 7:27Speaker 3: I want to like focus on spen energy on.
- 7:29Speaker 4: So have you spoken to either of them since that time?
- 7:34Speaker 3: No, Okay, No, I think we briefly all ran into
- 7:37Speaker 3: each other with things and everything is cordial, like you said,
- 7:39Speaker 3: like everything was put down, but it's just not something
- 7:42Speaker 3: that I necessarily like to sit and spend energy on.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Totally understand that, all right, So back to you and Jack.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I'm going to ask the annoying question, have you guys
- 8:02Speaker 2: started wedding planning?
- 8:04Speaker 3: We have. We have started wedding planning. We have a
- 8:07Speaker 3: date picked out, we have a venue picked out?
- 8:11Speaker 4: Is it this year? Can you let us know?
- 8:14Speaker 3: Yes? It is? It is and it's coming up quick
- 8:19Speaker 3: here I'll say that. Who Yeah, yeah, we got to
- 8:23Speaker 3: it like the man means business. It's really kind of
- 8:26Speaker 3: nice to. I mean, long engagements are fine too, but
- 8:28Speaker 3: it's we got engaged. We're like, yeah, let's do life together,
- 8:32Speaker 3: let's go. And so it's been really fun with the
- 8:35Speaker 3: whole wedding planning thing. But we were like full force
- 8:37Speaker 3: wedding planning like we are. I don't even want to
- 8:39Speaker 3: give away which everything that we've like are ordering or
- 8:43Speaker 3: what's spot we're at, because I feel like you can
- 8:45Speaker 3: like look up how many months ahead you would do that. Yeah,
- 8:49Speaker 3: I'll give it away. But yeah, we have our wedding party.
- 8:52Speaker 3: We have all that stuff asked and figured out. It's
- 8:58Speaker 3: been really fun.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Were you able to book the venue that you wanted
- 9:01Speaker 2: to book so last minute?
- 9:04Speaker 3: Yeah? Yes, Honestly, we didn't have I was never one
- 9:08Speaker 3: of those girls who like pinterests how I wanted my
- 9:11Speaker 3: entire wedding to look because I felt like I didn't
- 9:15Speaker 3: really have an idea and I didn't want to give
- 9:17Speaker 3: my heart set on something. You know, and then you
- 9:19Speaker 3: go when you never know what you're gonna get married,
- 9:21Speaker 3: and then you go and get to that time and
- 9:23Speaker 3: you can't find anything. It's like that your heartbroken. So
- 9:27Speaker 3: I always told myself I was gonna leave it open.
- 9:29Speaker 3: And so we never had like this ideal, let's do this,
- 9:33Speaker 3: let's do this, And so once we got engaged, we
- 9:36Speaker 3: kind of started to look at times of what time
- 9:39Speaker 3: of year we wanted it, how long we wanted to wait,
- 9:43Speaker 3: and that conversation really pushed us to do like, okay,
- 9:47Speaker 3: like we have to really like lock something down here.
- 9:49Speaker 3: And so we started looking around and we were able
- 9:52Speaker 3: to find a venue that we absolutely absolutely love. And
- 9:57Speaker 3: I would say it was like one of my dream
- 10:00Speaker 3: venues if I were to think about it. I just
- 10:03Speaker 3: didn't know it yet. So we're really happy.
- 10:06Speaker 2: That sounds like it's in Minnesota, YESO okay, and you
- 10:11Speaker 2: guys are both from there.
- 10:13Speaker 4: So how did you meet again?
- 10:15Speaker 3: We met a little over a year and a half ago. Yeah,
- 10:20Speaker 3: it's just kind of crazy to think about because it's
- 10:23Speaker 3: really not that long. It feels like we've been together
- 10:24Speaker 3: a lot longer. But yeah, we met a year and
- 10:28Speaker 3: a half ago, So like August twenty twenty four.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, yeah twenty three.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's been it's been good. I mean, we
- 10:41Speaker 3: just kind of spent so much time together and got
- 10:44Speaker 3: to know each other really quick and put all the
- 10:47Speaker 3: bs to the side and the small conversation to the
- 10:49Speaker 3: side for a little bit, got to the real stuff
- 10:50Speaker 3: and learned about each other real quick.
- 10:52Speaker 4: So do you meet through friends?
- 10:55Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah we did. Okay, Yeah, we met through friends,
- 10:58Speaker 3: So it was connection.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Look at that go on the Bachelorette end up meeting
- 11:04Speaker 2: through friends in Minnesota.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:07Speaker 2: How long were you friends with these friends? And why
- 11:09Speaker 2: didn't they send you up earlier?
- 11:11Speaker 3: That's what I asked. So we had both been friends
- 11:14Speaker 3: with them. Jack had known them a little bit longer
- 11:17Speaker 3: than I did, a few years, and then I recently
- 11:19Speaker 3: met them like within the last like two years or so,
- 11:22Speaker 3: and we got close. But what happened was I wasn't
- 11:25Speaker 3: really on the apps in Minnesota or just in general,
- 11:29Speaker 3: like at one time I was, I'm like, this is
- 11:31Speaker 3: not for me. Everybody in Minnesota looks the same, literally
- 11:34Speaker 3: every guy in Minnesota. So do you swept through uh
- 11:36Speaker 3: dating app? They're in camouflage with their golden triever dog
- 11:39Speaker 3: holding up a fish or like, went hunting, and I'm
- 11:42Speaker 3: just like, I don't know. This is not gonna work
- 11:44Speaker 3: for me. So I was with one of my girlfriends
- 11:46Speaker 3: and her brother and I jokingly said to her brother like,
- 11:50Speaker 3: do you have any friends that are like away looking
- 11:55Speaker 3: but like honestly like a good person, you know? And
- 11:58Speaker 3: I jokingly through got out there and he came back.
- 12:02Speaker 3: He was like, actually, yeah, have I ever talked to
- 12:05Speaker 3: you about Jack? I'm like, no, Who's Jack? So he
- 12:06Speaker 3: showed me his social media or his Instagram? And you
- 12:10Speaker 3: only had two pictures. So I'm like, oh, yeah, green
- 12:12Speaker 3: flag two pictures only, that's great. But I actually started blushing,
- 12:16Speaker 3: and I was a little interesting that I made a
- 12:20Speaker 3: note of. But I was asking him like is he
- 12:22Speaker 3: a good person? He said, he's so sweet. I should
- 12:25Speaker 3: introduce you. And it was weird because I had brought
- 12:28Speaker 3: it up. And then Jack actually had asked this friend
- 12:34Speaker 3: to be introduced to me, like forty eight hours beforehand,
- 12:38Speaker 3: because he kept seeing me pop up on social media
- 12:42Speaker 3: and was like, I have this gut feeling just can
- 12:44Speaker 3: you please introduce me to her? So he kept checking in.
- 12:47Speaker 3: So after we had started dating, he was like a
- 12:50Speaker 3: month in. We were talking on the couch and I
- 12:54Speaker 3: was bringing up how like I asked to be introduced
- 12:57Speaker 3: to him, and he's like, no, no, no, no, no, it's
- 13:00Speaker 3: the other way around. And we figured out that we
- 13:02Speaker 3: had both asked to be introduced to each other.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Wow, that's faate, that's so cool.
- 13:07Speaker 3: He beat me by like forty eight hours, but we
- 13:09Speaker 3: both had this idea that we initiated it when it was.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Actually, Wow, that's so cute, that's so cool.
- 13:16Speaker 2: What does Jack think about you having been the bachelorette?
- 13:21Speaker 3: He just I don't know he accepts it. I don't
- 13:27Speaker 3: think he reached out or wasn't like I want to
- 13:31Speaker 3: meet her because she was the bachelorette. He very much
- 13:35Speaker 3: just had heard about like my qualities through friends and
- 13:40Speaker 3: it was like she's just cute. I want to meet her,
- 13:42Speaker 3: And I don't know, he doesn't. He really overlooks it.
- 13:47Speaker 3: And I think that's why I like it, is because
- 13:49Speaker 3: he understands and accepts like the different you like, like
- 13:54Speaker 3: I said, going on podcasts and ex'es are constantly being
- 13:57Speaker 3: brought up like that's not an easy thing for what
- 14:00Speaker 3: I mean, he's like my fiance and he has to
- 14:02Speaker 3: always hear about this stuff. We're going on social media
- 14:04Speaker 3: and you know, somebody, we just did this podcast and
- 14:09Speaker 3: this couple threw on he was on the podcast and
- 14:12Speaker 3: they overlaid like pictures of like the proposal of me
- 14:18Speaker 3: and Nate and like the one that's kind of disrespectful.
- 14:22Speaker 3: If he's like sitting on the podcast next to me,
- 14:24Speaker 3: that's really weird. But like there's just all these different
- 14:27Speaker 3: things that he has to put up with and he
- 14:29Speaker 3: accepts it because that's the baggage that I come along
- 14:32Speaker 3: with and he wants to be with me, and so
- 14:36Speaker 3: I love him for that. But like he Bachelorette or not,
- 14:41Speaker 3: he would still be there. And that's what I love
- 14:43Speaker 3: about him so much is that he understands just all
- 14:46Speaker 3: the different ways that I'm tugged, the anxiety that it
- 14:49Speaker 3: can bring, all the different nuances. But like he loves
- 14:53Speaker 3: Michelle for Michelle and that has nothing to do with
- 14:55Speaker 3: the Bachelorette.
- 14:57Speaker 4: That's very sweet.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Ah, what do you guys see in your future and.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Say five years hopefully kids?
- 15:14Speaker 4: Do you guys agree on how many you want?
- 15:17Speaker 3: We definitely want more than one. I think like two. Yeah,
- 15:20Speaker 3: we've talked about it, and it kind of really depends
- 15:25Speaker 3: on how it goes. I always thought I would have
- 15:26Speaker 3: to find now so I'm a little bit older and everything,
- 15:31Speaker 3: but I don't know. It would be great to Like
- 15:34Speaker 3: part of me is like I want to pop out
- 15:36Speaker 3: twins so I can just have them running around and
- 15:38Speaker 3: you know, get it done with.
- 15:40Speaker 4: I feel that.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Yeah, at the same time, I'm like, that's also a
- 15:45Speaker 3: lot too. I've heard so some some kids I don't know,
- 15:49Speaker 3: going to sports tournaments bringing them there like that whole life.
- 15:53Speaker 3: We both absolutely love that we both had that life
- 15:56Speaker 3: growing up and so hopefully something looking like that.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:02Speaker 2: When I was pregnant with the first one, it was
- 16:05Speaker 2: so miserable that I was just like, please let it
- 16:07Speaker 2: be twins when we went in for the ultrasounds, so
- 16:09Speaker 2: I don't have to do this again.
- 16:11Speaker 3: But oh my goodness, did you hear that whole new
- 16:14Speaker 3: statistic about how it's I don't know what percentage, so
- 16:17Speaker 3: don't quote me on this, you have to look it up.
- 16:18Speaker 3: But it's like majority of the men's health that decides
- 16:23Speaker 3: how he goes do.
- 16:26Speaker 4: We both see the same Instagram.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Reel immediately have He's like, I was in better shape
- 16:33Speaker 2: when you got pregnant with Dawson than when you got
- 16:36Speaker 2: pregnant with Hayden, and yet you were sicker with Dawson.
- 16:38Speaker 4: So how does that make sense? I don't know. We
- 16:41Speaker 4: gotta look into this.
- 16:42Speaker 3: I'm like, I have no idea, but I'm like, don't
- 16:45Speaker 3: tell me that now, because I'm like, no drinking six
- 16:49Speaker 3: months before anything. Right, I could stay fair, eat corn dogs,
- 16:56Speaker 3: do all this other stuff, but like you have to
- 16:58Speaker 3: be perfectly clean, right, take yourself to me.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Just from my experience, I'm gonna say that I'm not
- 17:05Speaker 2: one hundred percent sold in this theory. But we do
- 17:07Speaker 2: like to blame the men when we're.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Sick, you know.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Well, Okay, before we wrap up, I just want to know,
- 17:14Speaker 2: like the general vibe of your wedding. Is it going
- 17:17Speaker 2: to be a surprise, Like are you going to tell
- 17:19Speaker 2: people like it's our wedding weekend coming up? Or is
- 17:22Speaker 2: it going to are we going to get the headlines
- 17:24Speaker 2: like for your engagement like, oh, it already happened, surprise?
- 17:28Speaker 4: Is it going to be small? Large? Have you picked
- 17:30Speaker 4: out your dress?
- 17:31Speaker 3: Like?
- 17:31Speaker 4: I want these little fun details.
- 17:34Speaker 3: The dres shopping is coming up here shortly, and so
- 17:38Speaker 3: that will be hopefully decided on. But then as far
- 17:42Speaker 3: as like, will we just give hints, I don't know.
- 17:46Speaker 3: I think we'll probably eventually say once it gets a
- 17:49Speaker 3: little bit closer in a safe manner. I guess you know,
- 17:53Speaker 3: we're not like location time so that people can show up,
- 17:57Speaker 3: but we'll like let you know, or people would just
- 18:01Speaker 3: figured out. I feel like so many people are like detectives,
- 18:03Speaker 3: and I have some wonderful supporters. They read between the
- 18:08Speaker 3: lines and can figure anything out. So I'm sure people
- 18:12Speaker 3: figure it out sooner rather than later.
- 18:14Speaker 5: So you haven't dress shopped yet.
- 18:17Speaker 3: No, but that doesn't mean you know. I'm also you're like,
- 18:22Speaker 3: you know, I procrastinate and do things that way too.
- 18:26Speaker 3: I'm very like ADHD when it comes to that. So
- 18:30Speaker 3: you can't really go off of right. Like a lot
- 18:33Speaker 3: of brides to order, they're dressed like a year ahead
- 18:34Speaker 3: of time.
- 18:35Speaker 4: I was a year.
- 18:36Speaker 2: That's because they told you it's supposed to be a
- 18:38Speaker 2: year ideally, which is nuts.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Here's the thing, if I if that was the case,
- 18:44Speaker 3: that if that was the case, like if I was
- 18:47Speaker 3: able to order it a year ahead of time, then
- 18:49Speaker 3: I honestly probably would have That's just timeline already passed,
- 18:53Speaker 3: so I can't do that. So we're here.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Well, I'm just want to like let you know that
- 18:58Speaker 2: dress shopping is probably the most fun part of the
- 19:01Speaker 2: entire wedding planning experience, along with tasting your menu and
- 19:04Speaker 2: picking out all that food.
- 19:06Speaker 3: We just finished the tasting and then it was so
- 19:10Speaker 3: much fun. Yeah, it was so amazing. Yeah, that was
- 19:13Speaker 3: it was a lot of It was a lot of fun.
- 19:14Speaker 3: It was me and Jack and then his dad was
- 19:16Speaker 3: able to come and we were at the venue and
- 19:19Speaker 3: it was it was really cool to be able to
- 19:21Speaker 3: go through that. I've never experienced anything like that. They
- 19:23Speaker 3: just kept bringing out like massive plates of food and
- 19:26Speaker 3: drinks and after like the champagne and the wine and
- 19:30Speaker 3: the other wine and the cocktails. I'm like, it all
- 19:32Speaker 3: tastes great.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:33Speaker 2: We had to do three in Newport because like the
- 19:36Speaker 2: venue that we used, they they pick from you know,
- 19:39Speaker 2: you get to pick from three caterers, and it was
- 19:44Speaker 2: like three days of Thanksgiving in a row. And I
- 19:47Speaker 2: was like, I don't know that I want to eat
- 19:49Speaker 2: like this again today. But it was really fun because
- 19:53Speaker 2: it was like a whole family Thanksgiving three days in
- 19:55Speaker 2: a row because we had like our parents races.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Did you eat on your wedding day? Did you remember
- 20:00Speaker 3: to eat? I didn't even like.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Try it, Okay, so I'm all, I'm like, not the
- 20:08Speaker 2: one that's gonna skip out on any type of food ever.
- 20:13Speaker 2: But there was something about the anxiety, like not anxiety,
- 20:16Speaker 2: like just the adrenaline I think of your wedding day.
- 20:19Speaker 4: I couldn't swallow it.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Like people were like, you need to eat, you need
- 20:22Speaker 2: to take a bite, and I'd like try to eat it,
- 20:24Speaker 2: and I'm like, I literally cannot stomach this right now,
- 20:27Speaker 2: not because like I feel cleasy or nervous or anything like.
- 20:30Speaker 4: That, just my body can't take it. So Jared and I.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Actually ended up like six months later, having a really
- 20:40Speaker 2: cute date at the caterers where we ate our entire
- 20:43Speaker 2: meals like start to end.
- 20:45Speaker 3: That's such a cute idea.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it was so good, and I was so bummed
- 20:50Speaker 2: out that I didn't get to experience it then. So
- 20:52Speaker 2: I was like, let's just go and have like the
- 20:54Speaker 2: biggest lunch of our lives. And it was really awesome
- 20:56Speaker 2: that they let us do that.
- 20:57Speaker 3: That's amazing. That's a good wedding tip.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Yeah, it is a good wedding tip.
- 21:03Speaker 2: My other wedding tip if you're solicit advice here is
- 21:08Speaker 2: just make sure that you guys hang out with each
- 21:10Speaker 2: other the entire day, and like, do not worry about
- 21:12Speaker 2: saying hi to people that you have never really met.
- 21:16Speaker 2: From his side, this is not a day to make
- 21:18Speaker 2: new friends. And don't need to say hi to like
- 21:21Speaker 2: people that you're not going to see for another year,
- 21:24Speaker 2: or even people that you're going to see like the
- 21:26Speaker 2: next month, because the day is about you guys, and
- 21:30Speaker 2: you can chat with them some other time. Quick clothes
- 21:33Speaker 2: are just fine.
- 21:34Speaker 3: I think that is like the biggest wedding tip that
- 21:36Speaker 3: so many people have said is just stay by each
- 21:38Speaker 3: other's side. Yeah, we've already, we've already talked about it.
- 21:41Speaker 3: I'm like, let's just like handcuff each other so you
- 21:44Speaker 3: have to be stuck.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you see too many brides and grooms on that day,
- 21:51Speaker 2: just with a totally different group of people for over
- 21:54Speaker 2: an hour, you know, they just get kind of swept up.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Like, no, never leave each other for more than five
- 21:59Speaker 4: time minutes.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Okay, got it?
- 22:01Speaker 2: Okay, And that's it because the next time we probably
- 22:05Speaker 2: chat on this podcast will be after your wedding, so
- 22:07Speaker 2: please come on then and tell us all the details
- 22:10Speaker 2: hopefully well. Michelle, thank you so much for joining us,
- 22:14Speaker 2: and good luck and enjoy every single freaking second of it.
- 22:17Speaker 4: It's so it's just one of the best periods of life.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Thank you so much. It's nice talking to you.
- 22:23Speaker 4: See you you too. Bye.
