- 0:04Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:07Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:10Speaker 1: Amy Torber and coming up on today's show, Tammy Hembrough's
- 0:14Speaker 1: online breakdown as she's spotted on a second date with
- 0:17Speaker 1: Bailey Smith. As she binds, opens up about her husband's
- 0:21Speaker 1: drinking problem and Sarah's day's secret project. But first, Cartier
- 0:26Speaker 1: Milan has jumped on the I'm just a girl TikTok
- 0:28Speaker 1: trend and shared a recent relatable mishap. She told her
- 0:32Speaker 1: followers it's the most fucking stupid pointless activity that she's
- 0:35Speaker 1: put herself through in a long time.
- 0:37Speaker 2: That's a big call, but I think she may be correct.
- 0:39Speaker 2: So earlier in the year, the Australian influencer who now
- 0:42Speaker 2: resides in the UK decided she wanted to leave London
- 0:46Speaker 2: because she, quote, hated it. So despite loving her rental,
- 0:49Speaker 2: she ended up cutting a lease a year early. However,
- 0:53Speaker 2: by the time her moving date came around, She decided
- 0:56Speaker 2: that she didn't want to go. And of course, she
- 0:58Speaker 2: made the revelation just as a landlord found new tenants
- 1:01Speaker 2: to move in. So it turns out that luckily for Katia,
- 1:05Speaker 2: the house next door was up for rent. So she's
- 1:08Speaker 2: now in the process of moving all her belongings next door.
- 1:12Speaker 2: And the way the house is designed, she showed herself
- 1:14Speaker 2: moving boxes across the balcony.
- 1:16Speaker 1: This just sounds like a complete head fuck. I cannot
- 1:18Speaker 1: imagine having to pack up all of my belongings to
- 1:21Speaker 1: move them literally next door.
- 1:22Speaker 2: If I was her, I would have suggested to the landlord, oh,
- 1:24Speaker 2: could you get the new tenants that are moving in
- 1:26Speaker 2: here just to move next door instead so I don't
- 1:29Speaker 2: actually have to move?
- 1:30Speaker 1: I'm guessing it's just some bullshit paperwork that stopped it.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Well, it turns out she was the one delaying the
- 1:36Speaker 2: whole process because she was meant to move out in May.
- 1:38Speaker 2: but extended her lease a little bit more. And that's
- 1:41Speaker 2: when they found the new tenant. So it was just
- 1:43Speaker 2: really bad timing. Apparently the new place has got a bath,
- 1:46Speaker 2: which is a bit of an upgrade from the other
- 1:47Speaker 2: one at least.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I don't know if it's worth moving your whole life
- 1:50Speaker 1: from one house to the other for the bath though.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I can't wait to show you guys. And I'm not
- 1:54Speaker 3: trying to be annoying and like something's coming, like guess what?
- 1:57Speaker 3: But I just want to wait till it's all done
- 2:00Speaker 3: before I reveal everything. But I'm so excited.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Sarah's day has revealed she's in the midst of major
- 2:06Speaker 1: change in her life. The OG fitness influencer shared she's
- 2:09Speaker 1: working on a secret project as well as waiting and
- 2:12Speaker 1: praying on another big opportunity. The updates come off the
- 2:16Speaker 1: back of Sarah dramatically losing her partnership with Australian perfume
- 2:19Speaker 1: house Who Is Elijah.
- 2:21Speaker 2: It seems like Sarah has been scrambling to prove her
- 2:23Speaker 2: worth ever since she got sensationally dumped by Who Is Elijah.
- 2:27Speaker 2: And last week she made a really big deal on
- 2:30Speaker 2: an Instagram story about how she was going above and
- 2:32Speaker 2: beyond for a photo shoot with the electrolyte company that
- 2:35Speaker 2: she's invested in. She's also been teasing that she's working
- 2:38Speaker 2: on a second cookbook, sharing a lot of vision of
- 2:40Speaker 2: her photographing food and testing recipes. So I think it's
- 2:43Speaker 2: really hit a nerve and she's trying to say, oh, well,
- 2:45Speaker 2: it doesn't matter. I've got all of these projects on
- 2:47Speaker 2: the go. That is exactly how it's coming across. And
- 2:50Speaker 2: on Wednesday last week, she revealed on her Instagram story
- 2:53Speaker 2: that she was feeling a mixture of excitement, overwhelm and nervousness.
- 2:58Speaker 2: So she was vlogging from her car when she said this.
- 3:01Speaker 3: There is so much happening in my life at the moment.
- 3:05Speaker 3: And remember a few vlogs ago, I think it was
- 3:08Speaker 3: like a month ago, I've been so bad at vlogging.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I said, I think Kurt and I were sitting together
- 3:12Speaker 3: and we said, we just feel like there's a change
- 3:15Speaker 3: in the air. And truly, we didn't know what that was,
- 3:17Speaker 3: whether it was like family, lifestyle, work, no more babies.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Sarah went on to say that there were two major
- 3:26Speaker 1: things going on. One of them she still doesn't have
- 3:29Speaker 1: clarity on, but she said she was praying and waiting
- 3:32Speaker 1: until she felt 100% that it was the right direction.
- 3:35Speaker 1: As for the other, Sarah dropped that a secret project
- 3:38Speaker 1: that she's been working on for the last few months
- 3:40Speaker 1: was fully coming to fruition. Now, Sarah was quite coy
- 3:43Speaker 1: on the details, but she did reveal that she was
- 3:45Speaker 1: inspired to create something after feeling like she'd lost her
- 3:48Speaker 1: sense of self and her cup was empty. Now, she's
- 3:51Speaker 1: been talking about this quite a lot ever since having
- 3:53Speaker 1: her son Harlow 10 months ago. So she said, the
- 3:56Speaker 1: fact I've worked on this and designed it in a
- 3:58Speaker 1: way that is going to make me feel so full
- 4:00Speaker 1: in every sense and I don't have to pause motherhood.
- 4:03Speaker 2: A couple of days later, she also shared a screenshot
- 4:06Speaker 2: of her computer. And I feel like whenever she does this,
- 4:09Speaker 2: everyone zooms in because in the past, her pregnancy announcement
- 4:13Speaker 2: was actually spoiled because she had a messenger screen up
- 4:17Speaker 2: that said she was telling someone that she was pregnant.
- 4:19Speaker 2: So that's exactly what I did. I screenshot it and
- 4:21Speaker 2: zoomed in and I could see the title. And I
- 4:24Speaker 2: think there's a dollar sign in front of it. The
- 4:26Speaker 2: other words I could definitely read were 60 challenge. So
- 4:30Speaker 2: It's a little bit anticlimactic, but it seems like she's
- 4:33Speaker 2: doing some sort of fitness challenge because she wrote, haven't
- 4:35Speaker 2: been this inspired in a really long time. I cannot
- 4:37Speaker 2: wait to share this with you because this is what
- 4:39Speaker 2: I need. Designing it for my fellow girls who need
- 4:42Speaker 2: to fill their cup, have fallen into habitual routines that
- 4:45Speaker 2: don't serve you, need to commit to something and can
- 4:47Speaker 2: lean on a community to keep you accountable.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Well, as you said, those clues really point to it
- 4:52Speaker 1: being a fitness challenge. I mean, it's more on brand
- 4:55Speaker 1: for her to be releasing something like this. I thought
- 4:57Speaker 1: the perfume was always a bit odd. And it's also 100%
- 5:00Speaker 1: cash to her. I'm wondering if she's playing on the
- 5:03Speaker 1: whole 75 hard challenge that is going around social media
- 5:06Speaker 1: at the moment. People have done their own spin on
- 5:08Speaker 1: it and done 75 soft. Well, whatever it is, I'm
- 5:11Speaker 1: sure it's going to be some kind of toxic fitness
- 5:14Speaker 1: challenge that's packaged up to be some kind of inspiring
- 5:17Speaker 1: thing for mothers.
- 5:18Speaker 2: We've been seeing a lot of that recently online. The
- 5:21Speaker 2: timing's a bit weird though, because she's only just recently
- 5:24Speaker 2: launched her postpartum fitness guides and she took years and
- 5:28Speaker 2: years to get them out. So I don't know if
- 5:31Speaker 2: it's just like, oh, I've got more time. I might
- 5:32Speaker 2: try and flog another one off a quick 60 day
- 5:35Speaker 2: challenge that suits everyone else, just not mothers. I mean,
- 5:38Speaker 2: she spoke a lot about filling up your cup, but
- 5:40Speaker 2: she did specify that it wouldn't just be something for mums.
- 5:43Speaker 2: It was for everyone looking to do that. And on Friday,
- 5:47Speaker 2: Sarah decided to drop some more clues. So she filmed
- 5:50Speaker 2: herself in a meeting with her graphic designer. And in it,
- 5:53Speaker 2: she did not hold back. It was quite uncomfortable to watch.
- 5:57Speaker 2: She was really happy to tell the graphic designer what
- 5:59Speaker 2: she didn't like. Let's throw to some of the audio.
- 6:04Speaker 3: That whole thing because I don't like the font.
- 6:05Speaker 2: I don't like the colors. I hate a gradient. You
- 6:07Speaker 2: know I hate a gradient.
- 6:08Speaker 1: What about the font do you not like?
- 6:11Speaker 3: It just looks boring. Like it's too tall.
- 6:13Speaker 2: I just don't like it. It looks like hospitality to me.
- 6:16Speaker 2: It doesn't look strong and like energetic and athletic.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Slant the six or something. Too soft of a color?
- 6:24Speaker 4: Does it need to be a little bit more electric feeling?
- 6:27Speaker 2: No, no. I think it's electric enough.
- 6:30Speaker 3: It's a nice.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Is it doable like this?
- 6:31Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no.
- 6:33Speaker 5: I think colors.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Why are you doing the pink to me, Jared?
- 6:36Speaker 1: Purple.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I'm allergic to purple.
- 6:37Speaker 5: I am.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I like break out into colors.
- 6:40Speaker 5: No, no, no, no.
- 6:44Speaker 1: When I first saw the video, I just was like, wow,
- 6:47Speaker 1: she was so rude to the graphic designer. But then
- 6:50Speaker 1: I thought, you know what? It's actually super helpful when
- 6:53Speaker 1: someone is that direct about what they want. Yeah.
- 6:55Speaker 2: But I don't know how you could watch that back
- 6:57Speaker 2: and think, oh yeah, I think I'll post that up
- 6:59Speaker 2: as a reflection of what I acted like in a meeting.
- 7:02Speaker 1: But so many people were commenting on TikTok saying, oh,
- 7:04Speaker 1: I'm also allergic to purple.
- 7:06Speaker 2: It is interesting to see how Sarah rolls out this
- 7:09Speaker 2: next project because I feel like we've seen a lot
- 7:11Speaker 2: of influencers move away from the whole secret project strategy
- 7:15Speaker 2: side of thing and just share what they're doing. But
- 7:18Speaker 2: I think Sarah really got burnt with being so open
- 7:21Speaker 2: about her partnership with Who Is Elijah? And I'd love
- 7:24Speaker 2: to know how she's feeling about it all because the
- 7:26Speaker 2: co-founder of Who Is Elijah, Raquel Boris, put up a
- 7:29Speaker 2: question box on her Instagram story. asking for people to
- 7:33Speaker 2: nominate themselves to be an ambassador for them. So she wrote,
- 7:37Speaker 2: who is Elijah is looking for the best of the
- 7:39Speaker 2: best social media girlies. Do you have amazing experience, live
- 7:43Speaker 2: and breathe socials, love content and creation? Sarah would be
- 7:46Speaker 2: absolutely fuming because they claim that they didn't have the
- 7:49Speaker 2: capacity to do an ambassadorship with her.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I wonder how many of her friends she's got to
- 7:53Speaker 1: message in saying her name.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Well, it's quite awkward because Ellie Watson, who Sarah has
- 7:59Speaker 2: had on a podcast before, so I don't know if
- 8:01Speaker 2: they're actually friends, but I know Sarah draws a lot
- 8:03Speaker 2: of inspiration from Ellie. She put up a story thanking
- 8:06Speaker 2: Who Is Elijah for a PR package they sent her.
- 8:08Speaker 2: So potentially she may be on their list. And that
- 8:12Speaker 2: would be such a slap in the face for Sarah,
- 8:13Speaker 2: because if you put them both on paper... They're very similar.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Well, I just wonder, are they actually looking for an
- 8:18Speaker 1: influencer to be an ambassador or are they asking their
- 8:21Speaker 1: customer base to put themselves forward to be part of
- 8:24Speaker 1: a campaign?
- 8:24Speaker 2: When I saw this question box go out, I was like, oh,
- 8:27Speaker 2: it must have been a budget thing as to why
- 8:29Speaker 2: they cut Sarah's Day because Sarah's Day, she's a massive influencer.
- 8:32Speaker 2: She's got over a million followers. She would demand a
- 8:35Speaker 2: pretty big salary for being an ambassador for Who Is Elijah?
- 8:39Speaker 2: Whereas if you put it out to the community, you're
- 8:40Speaker 2: almost asking people to apply for the role and you
- 8:43Speaker 2: take any hand away that they have. So there's not
- 8:46Speaker 2: much bargaining room if they're actually putting themselves forward.
- 8:49Speaker 1: See, I don't know if it was just a budgeting thing,
- 8:51Speaker 1: but I think maybe it was more so the brand
- 8:54Speaker 1: looked at these type of partnerships with huge influencers and
- 8:57Speaker 1: thought they're a bit tone deaf. And that's why maybe
- 8:59Speaker 1: they're reaching out to members of their own community to
- 9:01Speaker 1: be the face of their perfume brand instead.
- 9:04Speaker 2: See, I don't think they're necessarily looking for just a
- 9:06Speaker 2: member of the general public. I think they're looking for
- 9:08Speaker 2: that tier of influencer who is competing against a lot
- 9:11Speaker 2: of others for brand deals. and is probably quite desperate
- 9:15Speaker 2: and may just take product or a smaller amount of money.
- 9:18Speaker 5: It honestly feels so weird, like, posting that video that
- 9:23Speaker 5: I just posted.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Tammy Hembrough has given fans a glimpse into her emotional
- 9:28Speaker 1: state during her short marriage to Matt Sikowsky. Over the weekend,
- 9:32Speaker 1: the OG fitness influencer uploaded a montage of old clips
- 9:35Speaker 1: of her crying uncontrollably with her wedding rings in full sight.
- 9:40Speaker 1: The video comes a week after she was spotted on
- 9:42Speaker 1: a date with Geelong star Bailey Smith.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I don't know about you, Amy, but I found it
- 9:46Speaker 2: so difficult to watch the montage of clips because they
- 9:49Speaker 2: were so raw. It felt like something we shouldn't be
- 9:51Speaker 2: looking at it.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it was very uncomfortable. And for those who haven't
- 9:54Speaker 1: seen it, the video was set to the song To
- 9:57Speaker 1: Build a Home by the Cinematic Orchestra. So the video
- 10:00Speaker 1: opened with text which read, it felt like the heaviness
- 10:03Speaker 1: would never end.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Tammy then went on to share numerous clips of her
- 10:07Speaker 2: breaking down. So in one clip, she showed her hand
- 10:10Speaker 2: uncontrollably shaking. While in another, she was rolling around on
- 10:13Speaker 2: the floor, banging her hand on the ground. And in
- 10:17Speaker 2: another scene, Tammy was uncontrollably crying while brushing her hair.
- 10:21Speaker 2: And following the montage of sad clips, the video then
- 10:23Speaker 2: transitioned to happier clips of Tammy with her kids and
- 10:26Speaker 2: friends enjoying life with the text that said, but then
- 10:29Speaker 2: I noticed the light creeping back in.
- 10:32Speaker 1: So in the caption, Tammy wrote, I made this so
- 10:35Speaker 1: long ago and honestly never thought I'd share it. Watching
- 10:38Speaker 1: it back makes me genuinely feel ill. But with everything
- 10:41Speaker 1: happening right now, if there was ever a time to
- 10:43Speaker 1: share it, it's now. I'm posting this for the person
- 10:46Speaker 1: who feels like they're drowning the way I once did,
- 10:49Speaker 1: the person who can't see a way forward. I want
- 10:51Speaker 1: you to know it does get better, I promise you.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Some traumas shake you so deeply they change the way
- 10:57Speaker 1: you see literally everything, the world, the people around you,
- 11:00Speaker 1: and even yourself. But little by little, the light comes back.
- 11:04Speaker 1: No one else knows your whole story. No one has
- 11:06Speaker 1: felt what you felt, seen what you've seen or carried
- 11:09Speaker 1: what you've carried. This is your life, your journey, but
- 11:12Speaker 1: you are not alone in it. One day you'll look
- 11:14Speaker 1: back and realize you survived what you thought would break you.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Now, my initial thought when I watched the video was,
- 11:20Speaker 2: how does someone capture themselves crying genuinely? And someone had
- 11:24Speaker 2: the exact same thought as me. So they wrote under
- 11:26Speaker 2: Tammy's video on Instagram, Just curious, do you cry first,
- 11:30Speaker 2: then film or set up the camera and then cry?
- 11:33Speaker 2: Tammy ended up replying to the comment saying, these were
- 11:36Speaker 2: actually just videos of me talking that I sent to
- 11:38Speaker 2: my sis that were never intended to see the light
- 11:41Speaker 2: of day. Hope this helps. Tammy's sister, Amy, added her
- 11:44Speaker 2: own insight in the comments, writing, my heart was breaking
- 11:47Speaker 2: for you during this time. This brought me to tears. Now, Amy,
- 11:51Speaker 2: we've been through a lot together over the last 36 years.
- 11:54Speaker 2: But I've never received a video of you breaking down
- 11:56Speaker 2: and crying.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't really send videos like this. Like
- 11:59Speaker 1: there are a lot of people who send voice notes
- 12:01Speaker 1: to one another. I mean, this is taking it a
- 12:03Speaker 1: step further, actually videoing yourself and sending them as messages.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I'm glad that Tammy actually clarified that these are videos
- 12:09Speaker 1: she was sending her sister because I find it so odd.
- 12:13Speaker 1: that people will be crying at home and their first
- 12:15Speaker 1: thought is, oh, I'm going to whip out my phone
- 12:17Speaker 1: and start filming this.
- 12:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:20Speaker 2: It always seems very performative when influencers share videos of
- 12:23Speaker 2: themselves crying. So I'm glad she provided that further context.
- 12:25Speaker 2: And I suppose I'm here saying, oh, well, I've never
- 12:28Speaker 2: received a video of you crying and talking to the camera,
- 12:30Speaker 2: but we're not influencers. And I think talking to the
- 12:32Speaker 2: camera is just second nature to them. So it kind
- 12:35Speaker 2: of makes sense that this is how Tammy would communicate
- 12:37Speaker 2: with her sisters.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, that's the other thing. Like I don't
- 12:40Speaker 1: whip my phone out and film my whole day. So
- 12:42Speaker 1: for some influencers, maybe it does make sense to think, oh,
- 12:45Speaker 1: I'm about to tear up. Let's bring the camera out
- 12:47Speaker 1: and capture this. I mean, I think some people film
- 12:49Speaker 1: themselves crying because they think it's really authentic and it's
- 12:52Speaker 1: almost like they're trying to prove to their audience. No,
- 12:55Speaker 1: I don't just have great times. Here I am also sad.
- 12:59Speaker 2: It's got to be my least favorite type of content
- 13:02Speaker 2: and influencer shares. And I'm going to be quite brutal
- 13:05Speaker 2: here and I'm sorry if anyone actually does film themselves crying,
- 13:07Speaker 2: but whenever I see that type of content, I just
- 13:10Speaker 2: think to myself, oh my God, are you a narcissist?
- 13:13Speaker 2: Because like the fact that you've set the camera up,
- 13:15Speaker 2: filmed yourself and reviewed it and then thought, yeah, I'm
- 13:18Speaker 2: going to post that on my story. I look good
- 13:20Speaker 2: crying because whenever I've seen myself crying and I'm trying
- 13:24Speaker 2: to think when that would be because I don't film it.
- 13:26Speaker 2: But you know, when you see yourself in the mirror
- 13:28Speaker 2: and you've just had a cry, I'm like, I think
- 13:31Speaker 2: I'm an ugly crier. I mean, Kim Kardashian is the
- 13:33Speaker 2: most famous ugly cry that there is.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I think sometimes when you cry, your eyes go a
- 13:38Speaker 1: really bright colour.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Some people's eyes look really good when they're crying. Those
- 13:42Speaker 2: are the ones that are posting it on social media. Yeah,
- 13:44Speaker 2: but you're right.
- 13:44Speaker 1: There's so many steps to it. So it's not only
- 13:46Speaker 1: you just taking your phone out to film it. You're
- 13:48Speaker 1: then reviewing it. You're then putting it up. You're loading
- 13:52Speaker 1: it onto Instagram or TikTok and then having to push publish.
- 13:55Speaker 2: And then also selecting like emotive music and like the
- 13:58Speaker 2: caption to... Anyway, Tammy ended up jumping on her story
- 14:02Speaker 2: to provide further clarity around why she decided to post
- 14:05Speaker 2: the video and how she actually got the shot. This
- 14:08Speaker 2: is what she said.
- 14:08Speaker 5: I made it and it was just like too much
- 14:13Speaker 5: for me.
- 14:14Speaker 2: So I was like, I'm not like going to post it.
- 14:17Speaker 5: Like I made it so long ago, but, um, I mean,
- 14:21Speaker 5: it's out there now, and I just know that, like,
- 14:24Speaker 5: when I was going through it, videos like that helped
- 14:26Speaker 5: me so much.
- 14:28Speaker 2: So if I can, like, do.
- 14:29Speaker 5: That for one person, then that's all I want. But also,
- 14:35Speaker 5: I don't usually, like, just film myself crying mid-breakdown.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Bye-bye!
- 14:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't usually film myself mid-breakdown.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Most of those videos, I.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Was actually talking in them and sending to my sister.
- 14:52Speaker 2: So that's that.
- 14:54Speaker 5: Anyway, I never want to look at any of those
- 14:57Speaker 5: videos ever again. So I hope everyone.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Has a good day. Tammy has just given a real
- 15:04Speaker 2: insight into her TikTok algorithm. She must have been deep
- 15:07Speaker 2: in breakup TikTok for videos of people filming themselves crying.
- 15:12Speaker 2: to be penetrating her feet so much.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah. Those sort of videos just make me feel uncomfortable.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Like I would never sit back and go, oh, this
- 15:19Speaker 1: is making me feel better.
- 15:20Speaker 2: To be fair, I haven't gone through a breakup since
- 15:22Speaker 2: TikTok has been a thing. So maybe that really would
- 15:24Speaker 2: have hit a note with me if I'd been in
- 15:26Speaker 2: the breakup trenches.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Maybe we're just emotionally inept. Maybe it's us.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Yeah, true. I think that could be it also.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I mean, it's clear that Tammy had a lot of
- 15:35Speaker 1: support from the influencer community because beloved TikTok chef and
- 15:39Speaker 1: former makeup guru, Michael Finch, Comment it under Tammy's video. Oh, babe,
- 15:43Speaker 1: the shaking. Love you.
- 15:45Speaker 2: It's funny because when I was putting together the deep
- 15:47Speaker 2: dive on Tammy Hembrough, I watched a lot of Tammy's
- 15:50Speaker 2: old YouTube videos and Michael Finch actually popped up on
- 15:53Speaker 2: one in around 2018 when he was at his height
- 15:56Speaker 2: of his makeup guru fame. And he was actually in
- 15:59Speaker 2: attendance with Shani Grimman at Emily Hembrough's gender reveal.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Oh, that's so weird. I didn't even place those two
- 16:05Speaker 1: together as being friends. I mean, it makes sense them
- 16:07Speaker 1: both being in Queensland.
- 16:09Speaker 2: On the Gold Coast. Talking about Gold Coast influencers, former
- 16:12Speaker 2: Big Brother contestant and also friend of Michael Finch, Sky
- 16:15Speaker 2: Wheatley added, this makes me cry, strongest, most independent woman.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I've got to correct you, Kate, former friend of Michael Finch.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I forgot that they weren't friends anymore. That's really sad.
- 16:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I love seeing them together.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Well, OG influencer Cartier Milan also wrote, I love you,
- 16:29Speaker 1: I'm so proud of you. But there was one comment
- 16:32Speaker 1: that raised eyebrows and it was from controversial OnlyFans star
- 16:35Speaker 1: Anna Paul who wrote, happiness always comes back.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I feel like that was more of a self-serving comment
- 16:42Speaker 2: from Anna Paul. It was kind of like, I'm going
- 16:43Speaker 2: to insert myself into this internet drama and kind of
- 16:46Speaker 2: make people feel a bit sorry for me as well.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I mean, I think she's just glad that Tammy Hembrough
- 16:51Speaker 1: has taken a bit of the heat off her. Yeah.
- 16:53Speaker 2: I mean, the biggest influencer story at the start of
- 16:56Speaker 2: 2025 was Anna Paul. We're now in the Tammy Hembrough era.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I wonder what's going to happen for the next couple
- 17:01Speaker 2: of months of the year.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I think the Tammy drama is just going to continue
- 17:03Speaker 1: until Christmas time, to be honest. Mm-hmm.
- 17:06Speaker 2: I personally found the timing of Tammy's video very interesting
- 17:09Speaker 2: because it appears to be in direct response to the
- 17:12Speaker 2: claims Matt Zukowski made on his podcast on Thursday. So
- 17:16Speaker 2: in that episode, Matt really painted a picture that he
- 17:18Speaker 2: was the one that was unhappy in the marriage. He
- 17:21Speaker 2: claimed he was the one that ended things with Tammy
- 17:24Speaker 2: and it was all for his mental health. Tammy's then gone,
- 17:27Speaker 2: hold my beer, Matthew, and given a real insight into
- 17:30Speaker 2: just how she was feeling during her marriage. And it
- 17:34Speaker 2: makes me think she's sick of Matt trying to play
- 17:36Speaker 2: the victim and control the narrative.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Well, it's obviously getting nasty because we spoke a few
- 17:39Speaker 1: weeks ago about how the lawyers have become involved. So
- 17:42Speaker 1: I think the gloves are off for Tammy Hembrough. We've
- 17:45Speaker 1: seen it in how she's lording her new relationship with
- 17:47Speaker 1: Bailey Smith. Things are getting nasty.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of people think that the photo was
- 17:52Speaker 2: a set up pap shot. Tammy has also managed to
- 17:54Speaker 2: combat Matt's claims that they only broke up eight weeks ago.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Because she made such a big point of saying that
- 18:00Speaker 2: this video was made so long ago and she didn't
- 18:03Speaker 2: think that she was going to share it. So it's
- 18:05Speaker 2: really clear that she wants people to know that this
- 18:07Speaker 2: relationship was done for a while before she moved on
- 18:11Speaker 2: with Bailey Smith. She's saying, look, it wasn't too quickly
- 18:14Speaker 2: as Matt claimed. And late last week, Tammy's best friend,
- 18:17Speaker 2: Isabel Laws, also hit back at Matt's claim that Tammy
- 18:20Speaker 2: had blindsided him by moving on after eight weeks. So
- 18:23Speaker 2: under the Geelong Advertiser's coverage of Tammy and Bailey, she wrote,
- 18:26Speaker 2: eight weeks is crazy with the laughing face emoji. Closer
- 18:29Speaker 2: to six months, laugh out loud. Now, six months would
- 18:32Speaker 2: make the breakup mid-February. To put that into perspective, the
- 18:36Speaker 2: couple only got married at the end of November and
- 18:39Speaker 2: got back from their honeymoon late December. So that is
- 18:42Speaker 2: a very quick turnaround.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Yeah, the honeymoon period literally ended after the honeymoon.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I mean, I think we're all witnessing at the moment
- 18:50Speaker 2: a masterclass in how Tammy has managed to attract 20
- 18:54Speaker 2: million social media followers and keep them entertained because she
- 18:58Speaker 2: is super strategic with the content that she is posting
- 19:01Speaker 2: at the moment.
- 19:02Speaker 1: So you don't think that she's actually posting this to
- 19:04Speaker 1: help others? You think, no, this is just to get
- 19:07Speaker 1: at Matt?
- 19:07Speaker 2: Oh, it is completely to shut down what Matt said
- 19:10Speaker 2: on his podcast and also to the media. She had
- 19:12Speaker 2: this video ready to go in her bag of tricks
- 19:15Speaker 2: to shift public sentiment when it was needed.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Yeah, she's been able to cleverly reposition herself as a
- 19:20Speaker 1: victim again because Matt was really trying to pose as
- 19:24Speaker 1: the victim last week during his podcast.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I predict Matt will hit back on his podcast
- 19:29Speaker 2: on Wednesday, which will get delayed till Thursday and I'll
- 19:31Speaker 2: be like, when is this coming out? I need to
- 19:32Speaker 2: hear it.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Now, amongst all of the online chaos, Tammy and Bailey
- 19:36Speaker 1: have still managed to find time to have a second date.
- 19:39Speaker 1: And this was on Friday. So they were spotted walking
- 19:42Speaker 1: with their arms around each other at a beach on
- 19:44Speaker 1: the Gold Coast. One onlooker filmed the new couple and
- 19:47Speaker 1: sent it into Instagram watchdog account Influencer They told the
- 19:52Speaker 1: Instagram account they pulled up together in her car, got
- 19:54Speaker 1: coffee and went for a walk, then drove off with
- 19:57Speaker 1: him driving her car.
- 19:59Speaker 2: All I could think of was how the hell has
- 20:00Speaker 2: Bailey Smith got approved time off from his football club
- 20:05Speaker 2: to fly from Melbourne to the Gold Coast to go
- 20:07Speaker 2: on a date? He had a game on Sunday. in Sydney.
- 20:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I just love though, that the Bailey Smith factor has
- 20:13Speaker 1: brought all of these other commentators into the world of
- 20:16Speaker 1: Tammy Hembrough, because I saw someone shared in our group
- 20:19Speaker 1: that former Carlton player and Big Brother contestant, Daniel Gorringe,
- 20:23Speaker 1: he put up this hilarious TikTok video. So there was
- 20:25Speaker 1: a photo of Tammy and Bailey making out at some
- 20:28Speaker 1: restaurant that someone had taken. And in the side of
- 20:30Speaker 1: the photo, you can see another diner's plate and their
- 20:33Speaker 1: steak and chips were absolutely swimming in gravy. And all
- 20:37Speaker 1: he could do was comment on this plate of food.
- 20:40Speaker 1: It was fucking hilarious.
- 20:42Speaker 2: It is funny seeing the footy commentators weigh in. What
- 20:45Speaker 2: I didn't like, and I didn't even want to talk
- 20:47Speaker 2: about it on this podcast, but there is a community
- 20:49Speaker 2: coach in Western Australia that's been sacked for saying the
- 20:53Speaker 2: most vile thing about Tammy. I'm not even going to
- 20:55Speaker 2: repeat it because it's so offensive.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I saw this in a headline and I was like,
- 20:59Speaker 1: I am shocked that they have put this term. In
- 21:01Speaker 1: the headline.
- 21:02Speaker 2: It seems like the headline created confusion for some because
- 21:06Speaker 2: we're going to actually basically have to say what this
- 21:08Speaker 2: guy said in order to give this story justice. But
- 21:11Speaker 2: there was a word used and it was a C word,
- 21:13Speaker 2: but it's not your regular C word that people bleep out.
- 21:16Speaker 2: It was more of a disgusting sexual term.
- 21:19Speaker 1: So it wasn't see you next Tuesday?
- 21:21Speaker 2: No, it wasn't. But my mum thought it was the
- 21:23Speaker 2: C word. And my mum said, well, what is a
- 21:25Speaker 2: C-U-N-T bucket? And I was like, mum, it's a different word.
- 21:29Speaker 1: What's that movie where they pronounce it coom-e? Those tween boys, yeah.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I felt like alcohol always just kind of came. It
- 21:38Speaker 1: was like this invisible wedge.
- 21:39Speaker 3: It wasn't invisible.
- 21:40Speaker 1: It's like a wedge between us. Ashy Bynes has revealed
- 21:44Speaker 1: that her husband's drinking problem almost broke up their marriage.
- 21:47Speaker 1: The OG fitness influencer made the candid confession during an
- 21:51Speaker 1: episode of her podcast, She Rises.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I have to admit, I usually find it quite difficult
- 21:56Speaker 2: to get through Ashy's podcast. I'm really not their target
- 21:59Speaker 2: market when it comes to listening about self-help and toxic positivity.
- 22:04Speaker 2: But I was hooked to this episode. So Ashley had
- 22:08Speaker 2: her husband, Steve Evans, on the podcast to reflect on
- 22:11Speaker 2: their 17 years together. Can you believe they've been together
- 22:14Speaker 2: that long? And they really didn't hold back. So for
- 22:18Speaker 2: full transparency, back in the day, I was more Team
- 22:21Speaker 2: Kayla than I was Team Ashley. I never did the
- 22:24Speaker 2: workout guide, but I definitely knew who she was though.
- 22:27Speaker 2: But I wasn't familiar so much with her backstory. So
- 22:29Speaker 2: I found it pretty interesting when Ashi was reminiscing about
- 22:32Speaker 2: how she first met Steve. So she was only 19
- 22:35Speaker 2: at the time and he was 28. And it turns
- 22:39Speaker 2: out that he reached out to her on Facebook of
- 22:42Speaker 2: all places. And they chatted for a few months before
- 22:44Speaker 2: meeting up in person. And she said when she first
- 22:47Speaker 2: saw him, she knew he was the one. Now, Ashi
- 22:50Speaker 2: often gushes about Steve online. In the past, she's called
- 22:54Speaker 2: him her knight in shining armor. And the podcast was
- 22:57Speaker 2: even entitled The Man Who Believed in Me Before I Did.
- 23:00Speaker 2: And this is because Steve was the one who introduced
- 23:04Speaker 2: Ashi to the fitness world. He was a personal trainer
- 23:06Speaker 2: for 10 years before he met Ashi. And Ashi ended
- 23:09Speaker 2: up actually falling in love with fitness by taking one
- 23:12Speaker 2: of his boot camps. And then they built Ashi's fitness
- 23:14Speaker 2: empire together. And it was interesting to hear Ashi talk
- 23:17Speaker 2: not so glowingly about Steve on her podcast, particularly when
- 23:21Speaker 2: they spoke about their hardest times together as a couple.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Let's throw to what Steve said.
- 23:28Speaker 4: In the relationship, it's definitely been my drinking. It's caused
- 23:33Speaker 4: a lot of, I guess, trust issues because, you know,
- 23:36Speaker 4: I've withheld. And just the drinking is very triggering in general.
- 23:41Speaker 4: No one likes the person they are when they're drunk, but,
- 23:44Speaker 4: you know, it didn't serve our relationship at all. But
- 23:46Speaker 4: happy to say, you know, I haven't had a drink for.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Nearly a year.
- 23:51Speaker 1: So Ashley went on to explain that she found Steve's
- 23:53Speaker 1: issues with alcohol really triggering. And this is because Ashley
- 23:56Speaker 1: grew up with an alcoholic stepfather who was also very abusive.
- 24:01Speaker 1: So Ashley said that a lot of her and Steve's
- 24:03Speaker 1: fights would centre around alcohol and it got so bad
- 24:06Speaker 1: that their relationship coach told them to break up.
- 24:09Speaker 2: I mean, that's a pretty big deal for a relationship
- 24:11Speaker 2: coach to be like, actually, I can't help you. I quit. Yeah,
- 24:14Speaker 2: I'm going to surrender being paid to help you. You
- 24:18Speaker 2: need to go your separate ways. Despite this advice, though,
- 24:20Speaker 2: Ashley and Steve managed to save their marriage. So Steve
- 24:24Speaker 2: ended up going through a group called Brotherhood. So within
- 24:27Speaker 2: this group, he took three to four meetings a week,
- 24:30Speaker 2: which included one-on-one training, breath work, and talking to the
- 24:34Speaker 2: group about his problems. The couple also worked with a therapist.
- 24:38Speaker 2: And Ashley went on to say the couple are now
- 24:40Speaker 2: better than ever.
- 24:41Speaker 1: So when did this all happen? Like, was this a
- 24:43Speaker 1: recent thing or was this years ago?
- 24:44Speaker 2: So they said it happened around five to seven years
- 24:47Speaker 2: ago when their oldest son, Taj, was very young.
- 24:50Speaker 1: That makes sense because if this only happened a year
- 24:53Speaker 1: or so ago, they probably wouldn't want to put it
- 24:55Speaker 1: out there. Yeah, but Steve said he's.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Been sober for a year now.
- 24:58Speaker 1: So.
- 24:59Speaker 2: it seems to have been an ongoing thing for them.
- 25:02Speaker 1: This episode continued to be pretty juicy because Steve also
- 25:05Speaker 1: touched on Ashley's infamous friendship breakdown. So he said alongside
- 25:09Speaker 1: his drinking problems, one of the hardest things for him
- 25:12Speaker 1: was to see his wife go through friendship breakdowns. So
- 25:15Speaker 1: he is, of course, referring to Ashley's recent friendship bust
- 25:18Speaker 1: up with her former best friend and podcast co-host Kiara Durrow.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Well, Amy, I'm glad you clarified to the listeners because
- 25:25Speaker 2: Ashi has, of course, infamously parted ways with her other
- 25:28Speaker 2: former best friends, Sammy Leo and Gretty Rose. But I
- 25:31Speaker 2: do agree with you. I'm pretty sure Steve was referring
- 25:33Speaker 2: to Kiara Dorough. And when he was talking about these
- 25:36Speaker 2: friendship breakups, he explained that he and Ashi had learned
- 25:39Speaker 2: a lot of lessons after getting big quickly on social media.
- 25:43Speaker 2: He said one of the main ones was how to react.
- 25:46Speaker 2: And for him, that means not putting fuel on the fire.
- 25:48Speaker 2: This is what he said.
- 25:50Speaker 4: So when the friendship break down and I saw Ashi,
- 25:53Speaker 4: You know, there was a few cases there where things
- 25:56Speaker 4: were thrown at you and sometimes untrue, sometimes uncalled for,
- 25:59Speaker 4: sometimes an overreaction to something. And it's been really hard
- 26:03Speaker 4: to sit there and watch you cop that because I
- 26:05Speaker 4: know the real story and the truth behind the scenes.
- 26:08Speaker 4: And because I know you're such a lover, you know,
- 26:10Speaker 4: you wear your heart on your sleeve, especially in friendships.
- 26:13Speaker 4: You're one of the best loyal friends I know. You're
- 26:16Speaker 4: the first one there for a birthday cake. You're the
- 26:18Speaker 4: first one to organize a dinner for someone's birthday or
- 26:20Speaker 4: you'll always attend everything and Be the best friend and
- 26:24Speaker 4: you can see the people that you've drawn into your
- 26:27Speaker 4: life now.
- 26:28Speaker 2: I'm not trying to refute what Steve is saying here,
- 26:31Speaker 2: but it's a little bit awkward when you get your
- 26:34Speaker 2: husband on your podcast to say what a great friend
- 26:36Speaker 2: you've been after all of these public friendship breakdowns.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like getting your mum to say what an
- 26:41Speaker 1: amazing person you are.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Very biased. It really did feel like that. Anyway, that
- 26:46Speaker 2: is where we're going to leave things today. If you
- 26:48Speaker 2: do want to hear more content from us, though, We
